I think I love this game
by JBOART on 2019/05/16 20:04
I have achieved the title super solver after my 2,887 winning streak, even though there have been many puzzles that seemingly had no solution, there were, although some games have taken me over three hours...I only have a few more to win to hit 3,000 in a row, so it is my very fond wish that there are solutions to every game, then I think I gotta quit for a while. Update: I now have won 4,827 games (in a row)...the app was updated and it no longer gives the numerical figure for a winning streak (games in a row) just the number of games won, from which, one is to extrapolate the number of wins in a row. Bothersome...I liked it better before. Also my title designation appears to have stuck. Whereas before it changed every two levels, now it has gone about twelve levels without a change. Sigh. So far I have not hit any unsolvable games, even though I have spent upwards of 3 or 4 hours on several games. UPDATE: I have now won 5,330 (in a row) games without a loss...what has happened to the title designations? It used to change every two levels, and now it has been at “rockstar” for at least fifty level...is it stuck? The times I have been able to get into it, it shows many more designated titles 🙁 none of which are available to me.... Update - uh, what does it take to change title designations? You say that you read every review, but I have been “stuck” at this level for (it seems) about a hundred games with no answer to my question...what do I need to do to change? Please tell me! Thank you...worked!

The Greediest game I own
by metaphorce on 2019/05/11 03:32
This is a nice implemention of Freecell, but the developer has, lately, become incredibly greedy, with full 30-second ads between games, and some ads that cannot be dismissed without first visiting the ad page. Buy somebody else’s FreeCell, and don’t encourage these outrageous greed-heads.

by Melkenni on 2019/05/09 04:29
When I'm without a book, this app provides me with a challenging good time, game after game. I also like how it records your stats, even though that feature didn't factor into my decision to download the app or to keep using it.
Too many interruptions to get to the game
by nottaken33 on 2019/05/08 01:59
Too may other ads etc make getting to the game a challenge. I liked the simpler uninterrupted version much better.

I like the game, but there’s too many ads. I would like to remove the ads, but I can’t because you do not give an option to do so.
Scoring
by Jakalmoen on 2019/05/01 15:22
I gave a five star review because I love the game but I think you should rethink your score algorithm. You give too much weight to time and not enough to least amount of moves. Time is way too easy to manipulate. Nobody is completing a game in 17 seconds without stopping the clock. So give more weight to moves or kill the ability to manipulate time.

Free cell = a great game because you have to plan and think your way through solving it or you get stock, incomplete and have to start all over again. It’s very rewarding when your planning pays off and you finally get all your cards onto the suits pile!

by pucking on ads on 2019/04/18 23:52
Your game is good but not worth 30 second advertisements between each game, I’ll probably start reading more to pass the 20 minutes or so that I have to kill, instead of playing FreeCell. By the way the nickname I tried using is what I play by.

Hints
by Xxxxxxx😭 on 2019/04/16 12:56
First of all, I’d pay a couple bucks to get rid of ads. I NEVER by anything off a game app. Second, I’ve been playing FreeCell forever and don’t need a hints bar popping up to tell me what moves to make. How do I get rid of the hints?
Bad Ads
by Harmony2020 on 2019/04/15 05:02
Are you kidding me? This is advertised for kids ages 4+. What are their sleazy ads popping up before the game with half-dressed women with LUST printed on the screen? My grandkids play this. If I see it again, you are done!
Love this game! Love this app!
by JustMiceElf on 2019/04/14 12:41
I have loved this game since I first played it back in the day on my computer. I love this app because it gives me the same great game on my phone, with the addition of daily goals. As a software tester I truly appreciate the quality. I tried other FreeCell apps and deleted them all before finding this one. If there was one thing I would add to the game though, I would love to know the numbers of the games I have lost, so that I could go back and try again. Update: I did contact support but for the sake of the review readers, I will explain the feature I would like to see. If you go to settings > statistics you can see how many games you have won and lost. My request is, if you play numbered games (yes, I started at 1) that you be able to see the game numbers of the games you lost so that you could try them again. The feature would not work for randomly generated games as they have no numbers. Bonus if winning a previously lost game would erase the count in the lost column. :D

Advertisements
by Terryasdfgghhjkll on 2019/04/12 10:17
I like your apps, I really do. But, I was just shown an ad that I find objectionable. It was for Slots ERA, and showed a very busty native American woman dancing suggestively. I find this offensive on many levels. I have seen other ads with very young looking girls who were busty. I don’t know how you determine who sees what ads, but I shudder to think who sees this. I may, for the time being, continue to use this app, but if this occurs again, I will remove all 3 apps I use.
Great for the old brain
by fifi home on 2019/04/11 03:54
Loving this game. The card tricks that are done when I finish a game brings a smile. Have not played this in years so I’m still learning but having a good time. Your directions are easy for me to understand and who ever came up with the concept thank you. Having a lot of fun.
I deleted this app/game
by WH-III on 2019/04/09 16:26
I deleted this app 4/9/19 simply because of the advertisements. I wanted to play a quick game on my lunch break. An advertisement launch first as usual, but this advertisement stayed active greater that 2 mins without the “x” appearing for me to bypass it. So I decided I had enough frustration for the day. I deleted it and decided to write a review which I normally refrain from doing. I gave it a 1 star rating.

FreeCell and spider
by Thanne on 2019/04/08 00:15
Something has changed in updates for both of these mobility games. When you select a winning deal in FreeCell, you shouldn’t get so many losses. Secondly, Spider Cell is now too small to see, which requires flipping to landscape. This takes much longer to move cards to stacks.

I’ve been playing this game for many many moons and will continue for many more. Love everything about this game, even the animations for celebrating a win is great. My only problem is, why does the Galleon, Bi Plane, and the “Jalopy” all spin and explode or fade or fall apart. I would love to see them sail, fly, or ride across the screen. Just some food for thought.🤔 Keep up the great work!

by Bre4c on 2019/04/05 02:28
Great fun can be played anywhere, but “improvements” make enjoying this game a thing of the past. The new challenges, the annoying pop up to select card king, queen, name, which cannot be shut down. I paid for the game so I would not have advertisements, only to be highjacked, and prevented from playing. Sure has taken the “fun” out of it. Why can’t I just play the game and enjoy it, in my own way? Brenda
Was great back in the day
by dummie phone on 2019/04/05 01:04
First gripe: I bought the bundle, in the App Store it shows "purchased" but when trying to write a review I get "you must own or download " duh, been playing these games 4-5 year now. They were great simple games BACK THEN. Now we get goofy scoring. Number of moves times your heart rate minus how many times you blinked during the game plus the number of days in the month. Special this special that!! Give us a option to play SIMPLE MODE.
Ads w sound is unacceptable
by thepitcherb3 on 2019/04/05 00:48
I’m not an anti-ad guy. Everybody’s gotta make their money. But when my phone is on silent mode, it’s not okay for you to have an ad with sound on as the default. Otherwise it would be 5 stars... oh some explanation as to what the different levels mean would be nice

Ads are becoming increasingly annoying
by Nytyt on 2019/03/27 08:36
I've been using freecell for a while now, and I've noticed that the ads are becoming really bad. I understand the need for ads, but now even though I have my phone muted, the ads still play through the speakers. As you can imagine this can be a pain. The YouTube ads play even though you have a game in progress. Love the game, but the ads are becoming just as annoying as robo calls.

Too Many Ads
by Michael Scimeca, raving fan on 2019/03/26 02:04
An ad in the middle of a game after having to sit through an ad at the beginning of each and every game?!!! Completely ruins the “fun” of playing when you’re overly forced to view too many ads. Seems greedy to me and severely overdone. Otherwise, it’s a decent app.

Fee cell is the first game my wife and I played on a computer. This was back in early 1990 I cannot remember exactly the year. We played the game in succession and would play it together. When of us would see a move we would talk it out and decide which move to make next. I can’t remember what number we got to, but eventually things changed in our lives and we became to busy to play. We are retired now and have started playing again only now we play on our own phones, but we challenge each other to see who has the highest game. We have never found a game that we could not solve. We have known each other for 51 years and have been married for 48 years. We don’t know if our lives will change again and will stop playing again or not, but for now it’s a great way to pass time and more importantly use our minds and that’s really great.
Problem Solving Practice
by Mrs English Grammar on 2018/12/12 11:24
When I was teaching 7th grade in the public school I always included Problem Solving Skills. Basically they are the same as Scientific Theory taught in 7th grade Science. Teaching it from a little different approach reinforced. Once the problem is thoroughly identified of all its parts, the #2 step is to make a list of all the possible things one could do in an effort to solve. We sometimes call this brain storming. Leave no possibility unlisted because two may have to be combined to make the solution. Use the list to carefully consider each possibility. Look for why one will not work and gradually eliminate until you have only one or two remaining for Step 3. If neither are obviously usable by now, try one and then the other. Choose the solution, in Step 4, by which one works best. If this one does not solve, repeat steps 2 and 3. Step 5 is to put your solution into effect and make it work. It may need adjustments or another’s advice. Always believe in yourself and know you can. There is a solution for every problem. FreeCell is a perfect practice for developing this skill. It is fun to play and even allows Steps 4 & 5. Students can play a game while learning. For me, now that I am retired and my thinking skills or memory sometimes fails me, FreeCell helps me stay sharp. It’s a brain exercise , if you will !
Freecell is my favorite kill time app.
by Rickonwallerville on 2017/08/26 17:52
The way I play free-cell is by allowing my phone to select the next game and if I cannot win, I back until I have a whole deck and play until I win. Some games are tough and take a good number or repeats. There are a few games that are un- winnable and when I am having a particularly difficult game I wonder if I am in one of those. But there is no way to know what game you are in. So in my list of improvements would be showing the game you are playing and possibly rating it on a difficulty scale. In this way I would 1, know if a game is un winnable, and 2, help me see how well my gaming compares to others by seeing how difficult a game is. As far as adds, there is a way to kill them off so If they really bother someone pay for the game. If you are intelligent enough to play freecell you should be able to figure out that nothing is free!

I play and I don’t like to loose so if I get stuck I use undo a lot. I want to win even if I get a low score. I would rather win with a low score than try to start over because that counts as a loss. My gripe is that I had a winning streak of 983 whipped out because my finger brushed against the wrong button. I was winning the game , but I had to put the phone down and do something else. When I got back to the game One of the pop up adds came up and I had a hard time of getting rid of it. When the game came back it went to the screen that gives the chose of games. I went to cancel that screen and accidentally brushed against the numbered deal and started the next game. Of course it counted the game that was interrupted as a loss and ended my win streak. You are allowed to undo other mistakes, but that one is fatal. Can you add the option that gives a warning that what you did will end the winning streak and allow for a corrective action??? The same thing happened to me when I built the winning streak to over 950. I was so mad I quite parlaying for a week or more and recently I had gotten it up to over 550 and I frankly don’t know what happened but when I looked I had a winning streak of 6. I quite playing for several weeks and now I have a rousing winning streak of 7. When the opportunity came up to write a review——I took it.
Classic game, too many ads
by Sgirl2 on 2018/08/19 02:12
This game is just as I remembered playing on my old desktop PC. The game has no bugs and is customizable. There are daily goals to keep the game fresh. However, I deducted stars for the frequency of game ads. Between every game there are two ads, and even when I switch between “random”, “winning deal” and “numbered deal” there are ads. Sometimes the goals require winning a certain numbered deal, and it infuriates me when there is an ad between reading the goal and and selecting a numbered deal because I have to worry about forgetting the deal number. While it’s not a huge deal, it does become annoying very quickly. This is especially true since the game won’t play if you aren’t connected to the internet since this prevents the ads from loading. If there were a paid version I’d happily pay a dollar or two to not have to deal with the stupid ads. Either provide a paid version or reduce the amount of ads.
Love this Game !!
by AKSnowdrift on 2018/07/02 06:56
It really makes my brain do some work. I used to play it on my computer then in spare time at work or on breaks. Then I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and had to leave work because of problems with it. I now have it installed on my cell phone and sometimes it’s a challenge for me but it makes me think. I don’t win them all (short term memory loss because of the Fibromyalgia and meds I have to take. Thank God pot is legal in Alaska again. It really helps too) but I have always enjoyed this game!! I was so glad I found your app. Now I can have something to do when hubby is binge watching NCIS on tv. It really makes me think about how to make my next move, which is a great thing! I can’t thank you enough for this app!!
The very first, best game I’ve ever put on my iPad!
by WhiteHouseSW on 2018/03/01 22:21
When I bought my very first iPad 2, lo these many moons ago, this was the first game I downloaded and played. Now both that iPad2 and this Solitaire game are a little older and, while I no longer use that iPad very often (it’s in emergency spare status), I still play this game. There have been little tweaks along the way to make a better presentation, true, but I enjoy the familiar screens, the stability of the app, and the options for the cards, decks and background. This game has never gotten stale or boring. This remains an EXCELLENT GAME & app! My appreciation is offered to the developers for not overdoing the changes and maintaining such a high level of understanding what the users want. Really, an exceptional job!
FreeCell
by Freecell Ellie on 2019/02/02 20:54
I have become totally addicted to this game. However, it began to freeze up after playing a number of games. I’d wait for several hours or until the next day. It would work for awhile, but it would freeze again. This went on for awhile, but I was thrilled to reach level 20. When a suggestion came up to change the background to a different theme, I chose Valentine’s Day. It worked for awhile and then totally froze up. I waited until the next day but it was still frozen. I ended up deleting it, although I knew I all my hard achieved levels would be gone. I am enjoying playing the game again, but very annoyed because of the freezing issues. Are there any suggestions to keep this from happening? I am playing on an iPhoneX.
Angry Glitch
by Mommeeeeeeeeeeeeee on 2018/10/01 00:51
I have been a fan of Mobilityware for years. I have played FreeCell for about 12. Huge fan! But today I noticed a glitch. Maybe it was there before Maybe not. I had two sets of five cards that I could move. One set would have reduce the line of cards in that row. The second set could have been added to the cards in that row. But my goal was to decrease the cards, not increase them. The system wanted me to increase the cards and would not allow me to move the other five cards to an open space. A little disappointed as the only games I play are Mobilityware games. Reason: few problems, well thought out, and easy to navigate.
A few adjustments needed
by An upset Insta user on 2017/11/21 15:58
The actual game of free cell is great, I just think the app needs a few adjustments. For one, each time you go up a level the required “coins” you need to get to the next level should be in increments of twenty-five. After playing for a while in the thousand coins needed range, I began to wonder why I would have sums like 233 or 108. I decided to reset my statistics and find out. It’s because of levels like the Hobbyist (starting on level 11) with a needed sum of 678 that these coins get thrown off. I just get bothered by it and would be very grateful if it was corrected. Also, if it could be more like the regular solitaire game when auto completing (each level goes in on its own and all the kings go in last when there are no queens left) that would be great as well.
Disappointing issues to an otherwise great game
by nicksaintjohn on 2019/03/06 00:27
An excellent game in most regards, but flawed by a couple of glaring and frustrating issues 😔 Firstly, the dismiss button on the adverts (between games) is either too small, or deliberately faulty, in that 50% of the time I click to close, I get shunted to the App Store... this could be a ploy to make more freemium-model money, but it makes for a very poor user experience. It makes me want to seek an alternative. Secondarily, and quite annoyingly, I have been playing the daily challenges obsessively, yet the scoring system doesn’t seem to keep track reliably... Last night, just after midnight (as usual), I completed the challenge, and was subsequently awarded my gem-laden crown, yet upon being presented with tonight’s challenge (24 hours later), and completing it, I am now shown that yesterday’s was NOT completed, which it clearly was (I even recall the layout and completed it in a similar way). So now the perfect month I was working to achieve is already a bust... It’s frustrating and utterly disappointing. I no longer have the motivation to maintain a perfect record. It would surely be a 5* game were it not for those two flaws, and I would gladly update my rating, once these issues are addressed.

I LOVE this game. Can’t believe it took me a while to catch on but boy when I did I became addicted. My favorite thing was teaching my mom to play. It quickly became her favorite pastime activity. she took to it like a duck to water and had so much fun. She kept track of her favorite games and we swapped notes and passed along the game numbers!! Thank you so very much that!!! This is fabulous for insomnia too. Gets your mind off whatever’s bugging you!!! Sweet!!! I hope there’s some Freecell in Heaven because it sure was an innocent but happy, rewarding, mind sharpening, relaxing, quick, time filling, anti lonely, FUN, witty, and pleasurable game time for how ever much time you had!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

My grandfather played card games in his last days back in the 1940s. I remember he spent a lot of time shuffling the decks. Wish he had been able to enjoy your version and all the marvels of the electronics we enjoy today. He would probably dance a jig not having to shuffle and deal the many games he played! Playing this game is really a neat way to keep the old brain sharp! He could have played thousands more if he could have laid out the cards with the push of a key. He was the most brilliant person I’ve ever know, and he was sharp as a tack until the end. Hope my DNA and Free Cell does as well for me!

I am totally dependent on my Free Cell phone game for keeping me calm when my life gets too stressful. I can go immediately into “ the zone” and everything else on my To-Do List fades away. I would love to play competitively by randomly picking a number and having two people start playing the same game at the same time. But so far, I haven’t found anyone willing. (I’m at Level 927 now, I think.) My brother in R.I. (I’m in Oregon) plays strategically, and thoughtfully, so has a 100% record of solving the games. I like to play fast and furiously, so have only around a 70-something, or maybe an 80-something % solution record. I can’t remember. (I’m 78, and my husband and I are about to celebrate our 50th Anniversary (a small miracle, since we are probably the most incompatible couple on the planet!). He is committed to his computer cribbage game so has zero interest in Free Cell. Too bad. He would be a worthy opponent.) Our kids know that if my Free Cell malfunctions, they MUST come immediately to the rescue!!!
Challenging But Fun
by Carrie77409 on 2017/09/24 06:00
I love Mobility Free Cell Game. It is not only fun to sit down at any unexpected/unknown venue and play one of these games to pass one's unexpected excess time but to challenge your mind in solving these puzzles. To me, the lacking part of the designers/developers of the software is in the accomplishments of obtaining a new level e.g. from Level 23 to Level 24; okay but I do not believe at this time, one can go past Level 39 - even if they have accomplished reaching goals beyond that. I had done over 90 games & the game reset itself to a lower level in the 30's. But despite all - I still enjoy very much the challenge of these puzzles.
Great game But malfunctioning ads ruin it.
by Tobiath on 2018/02/20 20:11
I've played this version of FreeCell for as long as FreeCell has been out, it's always been great. Something has changed, though, and not for the better. I keep getting ads that either don't have any content and lock up my phone so I have to shut it down and reboot or they play in the middle of a game while the game is going the ad is going – – very distracting and annoying – – or I have to sit and listen for 15 to 30 seconds with no opportunity to cancel the ad before I can play. If I game takes between two and four minutes, I'm spending way too much of my time watching ads. I make a point of not buying anything in those ads. Even so, It's gotten to where I simply have no desire to play. Nice way to ruin a really good game, guys.
Good app
by Kdbeidbdj on 2017/12/18 06:42
The game of FreeCell is great, but this rating is for the app. It’s simple, there are definitely ads but in my opinion they are minimal, and I can’t complain since it’s free. There are plenty of options to choose from so you can play the way you want, and the daily goals make it just that much more fun, to keep me hooked. I also like how they track statistics. You can play offline which is nice. Overall, it’s very well done. So well done that I have wasted entire days playing this game. The app asked me to rate it and I figured I owed at least that much to them, so there you go.
FreeCell
by Findafire on 2018/05/31 14:38
Enjoy playing the game to sharpen what ever dim witts I have! Dislike the adds and their somewhat cunning ways to X out of them. It has almost become as sometimes challenging as the game, I.e. like colored x’s in the image, when being searched by the older less sighted humans on a smaller screen, that gravitate to solitary games, cute! The automatic placement of cards in that crucial move counting daily goals game just refreshes the life’s lesson of our having choices and taking them wisely and if not knowing that only we are to blame. There’s more to this then meets the eye! Will you ever run out of titles for accomplishments? It’s another fun part of the FreeCell experience!
Minor issue
by Amanda fries on 2018/06/24 19:56
When a random deal is selected, why can I then NOT view the number of that deal? If I want to share the deal number with a friend and challenge them on one that I found especially difficult, or simply check it against the lists of "extremely difficult" or "unbeatable" deals, (let's say I've tried for quite some time to win, and can't) I can not. Seems like an easy fix. Maybe in subsequent versions? Please? Otherwise, LOVE this game! (I can put up with the ads, you have a business to run. I get that.) Thanks!
New version review
by Lutherbastow on 2018/12/14 09:07
One of the things that I liked about the old version was total won without a loss. I was just over 400 and was taking a break, the game had become a little boring, a few times, when you upgraded. This new version I have had a little more difficulty with, could be tougher in general or I lucked out with some of the more difficult configurations or I’m not as good as I used to be. Whatever the reason I am back at it still looking for the elusive 3 minute game and I do like the changes that you have made. Thanks
What the hell is going on!?
by Dollar Dance on 2018/11/04 02:54
8/10 times when I'm playing a game, I'm doing it while attempting(attempting!) to listen to something. On rare occasions, it's music. Commonly, it's a podcast. Whether it be from a website, or an app, there's always interference. The podcast stops when an add can't be muted, or isn't muted fast enough. Or lately, either when I'm in the middle of a game, and an ad randomly starts playing, or after a hand has been dealt, and I move the first card. Then I have to restart the podcast, it plays for a few seconds, only to stop again. Is this by design? Is it a glitch? Is it just me?
Love playing the game
by Ivehadenuff! on 2018/03/20 09:17
I’ve been playing the game for quite a while. Recently the ads have been defaulting to a white screen with no recourse but to close the app, delete the white screen, then reopen the app. One problem, if you’re trying to win the previous game the replay game does not bring up the game you were previously playing. Or, if you are just trying to play a new game you may get the white screen again (see recourse above) this is very disrupting. I thought it would resolve itself. It’s now been two weeks and I’m beginning to get VERY frustrated. Please fix, or at least don’t run these particular ads as it reflects poorly on your product. My rating has moved from 5 stars down to two.
Advertisements make Mobility games unplayable
by Meszria on 2019/02/19 20:44
I have Mobility Freecell, Spider, and Solitaire on my device, and they are my favorite games EXCEPT they now allow ads that will not let you play the games. There is a Publishers Clearing House movie ad that plays for about a minute, and when it is done it does not let you go back to the game. If you shut down and come back in, it just shows up again and puts you in an endless loop. If you are lucky enough to not get that ad when you start up, it might pop up in the middle of a game and you're done. I have contacted Mobility about this several times and they said their ads have to pass some strict rules, but sometimes an ad slips through. This game is now unplayable. This one doesn't meet my requirements.
Version 4.3.0 graphics
by Bj28$ on 2018/02/21 23:43
This recent update changed the graphics to be much brighter but ironically the shapes of the care suites are harder to distinguish. Hearts and diamonds look very similar; clubs and spades look very similar. The suite icons are larger but almost blurry so don't have distinct shapes. The intense brightness makes me need to keep looking away to rest my eyes. For me, this changes a solid 5-star game down to a 4-star. Can you give me an option to restore the older graphics, which were very clear and distinct, and more relaxing to look at? Otherwise, this is still the best Freecell game out there. Thanks.
Great version of FreeCell
by Fred the Viking on 2017/08/06 02:01
A great version of FreeCell. It is a favorite game of mine and has done it all right. It has has challenges and hints. An auto complete when the game is clearly won. The only real weakness with this app is the ads. The ads are rarely interesting to me and come up at the end of every game. I have yet to find a good paid version of the FreeCell so I guess it something I have been able to accept. If it were not for the ads I would give 5 stars. It is a free app but the ads are so annoying that I personally would prefer to pay but I have no options to do so.
Simple fun
by BogusPocus on 2018/07/14 15:37
The game is as challenging as you want it to be. Most deals are easily solved, but can you beat it in less moves? It's a nice way to kill time and I've played enough to have 200+ high scores. Unfortunately, the scoring method favors bots because too much points are awarded for time, but if you start with high enough numbered deals you are less likely to find them. The adds are painful and sometimes crash, but you can avoid them when replaying a numbered deal by using 'show me how to win' and skipping ahead.
Silly titles
by Spurjangle Weatherfair on 2018/10/07 15:56
I’ve played Free Cell forever I think. It’s just part of a little routine I have just when I wake up or unwind after work. I think the thing that keeps me going is finding out how many silly titles you can earn progressing through the levels. Just recently went from being a level 166 Cell-a-brator to a level 168 Card Conqueror. Woohoo! I’m only playing to see when they run out of names and how ridiculous the names will get. Still it is a relaxing workout for the sorting module of the brain.
Love the app!! Needs some tweaking.
by wtxvolunteer on 2018/06/18 23:45
Very good app!! However it needs some tweaking. 1. Ads: Know it costs money to develop these apps. However, when you “X” out of an ad, that should be it!!! Not having to “X” out a second or more times to get rid of the bear or baldy. Also, have the X in the same place, not switching sides. Additionally “CrossXInstall” needs to change names....have blindly hit the X in the name. 2. Auto move: If there is two possible moves for card(s), and the auto-move feature is used, it should ask which one. Too many times, it doesn’t move to the more logical location and then you have to waste a move to replace it. 3. Game game numbers. One previous comment, stated that there should be a game number and the difficulty level shown. It would be nice to have un-winable games removed, or the ability for the players to request they not be shown. Once again a great app...just needs tweaking.
Update needs a bug fix
by gjheign on 2018/12/08 14:05
I don’t remember when I got my first iPhone but I have been playing Free Cell for several years. I just recently did the update and I’m really not very happy with some of the problems such as: making a selection to play one of the goal games and then having the screen go totally blank and nothing happens!! Having to get out of the game and totally clear/close the program and then go back in and make your selection all over again!! It’s frustrating having the ads come pop up and difficult at times to get rid of them!! Hopefully you will be able to get these bugs fixed real soon!!!!
Tiresome ads
by Lovisa08 on 2017/09/19 20:26
I really like this game and enjoy replaying the games I don't win until I do succeed. The ads keep popping up and so many of them hold the player hostage while it plays out some or has you watch a video commercial. I will double click and scroll away the game only to have to watch another commercial while the replay game reloads. I'm about at the point where I will look for another setting of Free Cell. The above still stands. The ads that require a countdown from 4 or 5 are annoying to have to sit through. I've started looking for other free cell options.
Love it!
by Tds7691 on 2018/01/12 04:07
I love the fact that every game can be won. I also hate that I know that, because the game is addicting, I’m very type “A”, and I hate to give up. Thus, I have spent close to 30 minutes trying to finish a game before I finally relent and replay the same game. Before I know it, I have spent an hour playing a game I allotted 15 minutes. I use it as a reward for being productive. Becoming fixated on a single game is very UNproductive. Then again, I could have worse addictions.
Mixed feelings
by atallatall on 2019/02/21 17:45
I almost never write app reviews, and even more rarely write negative reviews. However, I’ve become increasingly frustrated by the MobilityWare FreeCell app. I really enjoy the game itself, and have had it on various platforms (Kindle Fire HDX, Fire HD10, iPhone 6 Plus) for a couple of years. However, recently the app has become so loaded down with intrusive, multilayered, video ads, that it manages to stall or crash my iPhone on a regular basis, something no other app has managed to do. (So some sort of kudos there, I suppose!). I understand the need for advertising, especially on a free app, but this is driving me away from an otherwise nice game.
Freecell
by Tootsie1oo on 2017/11/07 00:09
I love this game. When I first started to play it, if I couldn’t win a game after 2 try’s I would delete it and start a new game. However I decided I would stick with it until I won it and on one game I started it over & over for 4 days (when time would allow). I have now won over 160 games without a loss. Some are hard and I have to start them over a few times but I haven’t yet lost any. It is definitely a mind game and I love it.
Give us the game numbers back, please
by Jackie Masek on 2018/07/08 14:05
I got a new phone and had to download my games to it. (So wish there was a way to transfer those!) In the interim you changed the software! I’m pretty sure you had the game number on the screen before. That was really helpful because if I got stuck I could look the solution up online. That taught me how to play the game better. Now it’s gone? Why?! I see no reason not to have that included. Other than that this is the best version of FreeCell for iPhone.
This remains my Favorite app
by iGrice on 2017/09/19 17:55
I love this app and use it several times a day. I never miss a day. It calms me. When I'm standing in a long line, using this app prevents me from getting angry over the wait. I also play every night before bed to calm me from the rugged day! Thank you. AND I have NEVER had a crash! I was in Peru with a travel group and THEY were having a heated "discussion". They were a little peeved with me when they discovered that I was calmly playing FreeCell while they argued. LOL.
Pretty good playability; too many pop-up screens
by slee_to on 2017/09/18 23:19
Game itself is good, except in touch mode it will send cards directly to the completed pile even if there is a play to be made on the board. Cards in completed pile can not be retrieved, so it forces you to undo, which is a "black mark" against your record. All the different pop-up and menu screens are annoying at best, frustrating at worst. I would definitely play more if the navigability were better. Update: What's up with all the screens in between games?!? If I wanted to be this annoyed I'd still live with my mother.
Free Cell/ New layout.
by bigbadjohnrw on 2018/12/06 15:16
Somethings you can’t be improve and this is one of them. I’ve been playing Free Cell since 2001, on the computer at work my GM came in at 2am said he had work to do and I went to see if he needed anything nd he was playing Free Cell, that was the work `he was doing so he introduced me to it. Glad he did. The new one, I don’t like the new layout , I’m on a A APPLE I PAD and now it takes more keystrokes to start the game and it covers up information.

by CAD Programmer on 2018/11/24 14:56
Ads are horrible in this game - absolutely horrible. You get to see one at the start of each and every game, and most of them hold your device hostage while they play out, making you wait while you could be doing what you downloaded this app for in the first place! And many of the ads open yet another ad when allegedly closing them! The game (and some of the ads too) freezes up often and needs to be shut down manually, which then screws up the statistics. Currently a poorly-coded "Toon Blast" hangs and blocks "Freecell" from even playing. ("Toon Blast" ads should just be banned!) Very crappy and not deserving of even one star!
Great Game
by CasinoEmp on 2018/03/30 15:59
This is a very good game with easy to read cards. I enjoy the challenges, but there should be a pause button. Scoring depends on time as well as number of moves. With 3 dogs, & humans to care for I get constant interruptions while I play. A pause button would help me come back to the game in progress. Now I have to close it, then reopen it, which takes awhile to reload. Thanks for the feedback, instructions. Play button for pausing works.
Love this app
by Luckiann on 2018/09/04 20:10
Been playing this app for quite a while. Sometimes it gets pretty challenging and I have no patience so just keep starting over LOL. But it is fun try it you might like it. Am still playing. One of three solitaire games I play all the time. Love the new features! Not sure when I wrote the 1st review but this game is one I always play. I love the challenge now. Think I play this more than any other on my phone! Still enjoying this game!!
FreeCell
by Aleve85 on 2018/05/12 23:59
I never knew how to play this. I had it a few decades ago and it never made sense. I must say, I started playing last year and I’m already up to level 348, so I guess I’m not doing too bad. It is challenging at times and that’s just what I need and like. The names of the levels are cute. I’m really enjoying it, please don’t change things and make the game worse, like most companies do anymore. Thanks for keeping this old girl occupied.
Bad Interface can make you accidentally lose games
by Shoobie Doobie Doo on 2018/02/25 17:38
I lie the game. The fact that 99.9 % of the games can be wine is very compelling. But please fix the user interface! If a game is in progress, PLEASE display a confirm screen ("Are you sure you want to end the game in progress?") if we hit the "Play" button. The 4 games I've "lost" are because if that. The menu pops up over the playing area, and you can't even see that a game is in progress. Also, after completing a Goal, when you show that the goal has been completed, display the "Play" > button in that screen, so we can start the next goal. We currently have to Close the Goal screen, then Close the Score screen, then Open the Goal screen. Finally, I have a 600 minute game because I set the phone down while the game was running. Perhaps provide us an option to stop the timer after x minutes of inactivity?
My favorite game.
by metnavdog on 2018/05/16 00:55
This is my favorite game of all time. Sometimes it’s easy and quick sometimes it’s pretty difficult. If you want to you can just undo and try a different set of moves until you solve it or you can quit and try another random deal. I also like the different goals. Sometimes I’ll play just to get to the next level and that could take minutes or hours. Challenging and lots of fun.
Auto reset of game
by rjmily on 2018/11/25 15:08
The only update I don’t like is the game resetting if there are no useful moves detected. In the previous version there would be the prompt that there were no moves but I found it to be wrong a lot of the time - I could find a move that worked and win. Now when you touch hint it resets without giving you a chance to back-track or find the move that will work. 🧐
I need a 12 step program
by Robobillio on 2018/06/18 14:04
I've become addicted to this game, playing morning, noon and night. I'm at level 82, at the moment and have begun to wonder just how high the levels go. Update: I’m now at level 408. I still love the game, but hate, hate, hate the video ads that recently started popping up in the middle of games. It’s making it unplayable. If the ads have done anything, they’ve made me hate the products they are hawking!
Daily Goals ROCK!!
by *Edie* on 2018/04/17 02:51
I try to accomplish my FreeCell Daily Goals everyday, rain or shine! In retirement, daily goals dwindle. It’s nice to have something to accomplish daily. FreeCell has just enough graphic displays and sounds to make it fun and enticing without going overboard and into the “kiddie land” area. FreeCell is a great way to get your mind off everyday annoyances, waiting in long lines, waiting at the doctor’s office, and give it something fun and challenging to concentrate on. I highly recommend it.
Great game. Ads are frustrating.
by Poochapee on 2017/11/20 02:30
I really enjoy the game and play frequently. The games are challenging but fun. I love playing. It is an excellent distraction. Lately, the ads are becoming more difficult to exit. While I can 'x' the sound, some ads simply won't close until they are done. So I close the game and come back later. From reading some of your other reviews, it sounds like ads are the common problem.
I can’t play a game
by trying to play 23 on 2018/07/20 19:15
All of the sudden I am getting ads every 5 seconds, no lie every 5 seconds. I can’t play a game because it keeps cutting out to add. What happened? It just started today. Up to now, I could play and have an ad after every game (which I expect). Now it’s during my games. Update: the issue has stopped for now and I love the game. I play it every day. I enjoy beating the 3 challenges it gives you very day.

When I'm without a book, this app provides me with a challenging good time, game after game. I also like how it records your stats, even though that feature didn't factor into my decision to download the app or to keep using it.

Too may other ads etc make getting to the game a challenge. I liked the simpler uninterrupted version much better.

Scoring
by Jakalmoen on 2019/05/01 15:22
I gave a five star review because I love the game but I think you should rethink your score algorithm. You give too much weight to time and not enough to least amount of moves. Time is way too easy to manipulate. Nobody is completing a game in 17 seconds without stopping the clock. So give more weight to moves or kill the ability to manipulate time.

by pucking on ads on 2019/04/18 23:52
Your game is good but not worth 30 second advertisements between each game, I’ll probably start reading more to pass the 20 minutes or so that I have to kill, instead of playing FreeCell.

I may, for the time being, continue to use this app, but if this occurs again, I will remove all 3 apps I use.

by fifi home on 2019/04/11 03:54
Loving this game.

Review- I have one gripe
by Feustrated on 2018/06/04 00:01
I play and I don’t like to loose so if I get stuck I use undo a lot.
FreeCell

I understand the need for advertising, especially on a free app, but this is driving me away from an otherwise nice game.

by Tootsie1oo on 2017/11/07 00:09
I love this game.
