This is a tragically bad application, considering Lufthansa is supposed to be a good airline. Slow, convoluted and timing out sessions on MY PHONE "to protect me" but my Miles and More acct stays logged in (so, you can still get to data, just with even more clicks and NO LOGGING IN AGAIN). Why the timeout in the first place? Baggage information is hidden like someone's life depended on that, good luck finding out what your actual checked baggage allowance is. Help menu is a JOKE! And the mile long form one had to fill out for any request is literally insultingly long to prevent people from actually asking for help.

I got a msg saying ‘internal server error.’ I tried the Chatbox for help, but that thing could not even recognize terms such as ‘technical app assistance.’ Lufthansa utterly failed in every way today. #slowcheckin #poorlymanagedstaff = missed flight. #3hrsearly #frankfurt

I was bringing my small poodle to Rwanda via this airline,I had booked it for September,lucky I wanted to change the flight for July only to be told my dog can’t fly had not checked I would’ve wondered to the airport unaware of these changes. They say it’s due this Coronavirus bs,they made the virus so personal, if the airline can at least give us pet owners some form of notification when pets can fly a gain because I had to arrange a pet foster care until this airline can allow pets to fly please reply thanks

This app doesn’t work for me at all. Can’t link a M&M account. Neither can I add my reservation to the app. Either nothing happens, or a general technical error pops up (99999)
Check process in Zurich

The checking process in Zurich is so unorganized. First, there was no large signage indicating where to check in for Lufthansa. After walking all over the area and asking people who worked in the airport, where to go, we finally found someone who could help. This now meant walking a very long distance to another area of the airport (section 1). We then couldn’t find what to do before we realized the checkin was under the Swiss Air banner. In small letters, it displayed Lufthansa. The signage for those who don’t speak German is horrible.

Perhaps it’s because I’m stateside but the app is slow and the UI is extra clumsy. Logging in can mean nothing at times. Certain parts of the app don’t seem to know that you’re already authenticated. While fairly well planned out and organized, actual experience is terrible. Just checking upcoming flight details can be utterly bothersome.

This is such a shame for big air company to have so terrible app and website. You never know when and how ‘something went wrong’. This message you are going to receive constantly even though you make the simplest operation (like booking or editing your profile and btw no matter you put into profile app is going to use old data ). Simply forget about using your miles you always will get an error. Meanwhile Austrian airline’s website is nice and reliable.

We were told by the customer support line what our refund would be an approximate amount on 3 x business class flights. The refund amount was $60 dollars! The support line also told us if we were not happy with refund they would reinstate our flights. We have tried everything to get our flights reinstated as who would cancel 3 business class flights for $60 ??!! If we had known we would never canceled. The support line gave us the incorrect information and now they will do nothing to assist us! Now they can sell our tickets and make double for the seats. It is thievery! Do not fly this airline.

Lufthansa is always professional. A warm smile greets you at the door. The families with children are arranged so the childless people can relax and do not have to suffer “mini operas.” Service is on spot and good. I always enjoy my flight with this airline.

I purchased return ticket so why is Luthsnsa not able to able to pull up my passport info from onwards flight. Also what did it merge my first name and middle name on confirmed booking which I think is causing problems so now it says it could not generate a ticket so I need to go to checkin counter. App should not have checked me in , and it sould have corrected issue before checking me in - now I am checked in without a e-ticket and now I still have to go to ticket counter. In my over 30 year international travel this is first I cannot print boarding pass and it makes me fill out passport info, forward and return journey. Also the app asks me if I have bus or I am tourist but Dues not provide option to select I am citizen, since I have USA passport - Luthsnsa needs to fix the app. Also I flew low cost Indian airline Indigo and their seats have a lot of space, but Luthsnsa a large international airline has very cramped seats with tight legroom and arm rest area tight. I am slim and short - feel sorry fir the tall and fat passengers. I think the luthansa CEO need to travel on its India flight few times in economy. A lot of movies are in German or other language with not English text translation - that is silly - need to Improve that service - this is not local internal domestic German airline.V3J9JW

Impossible to login. The phone app works fine but when I put in the same login info in the ipad app, it says invalid. Won’t let me log in. Why does its work on phone app but not on iPad app? If I could give zero stars I would.

Trying to book a flight after spending 20 minutes trying to register an account to log in. I typo’ed my name - forget trying to fix it - you’ll never get through to anyone. When booking, there are errors trying to book BNA to CDG. No reason why, just can’t be done. Then try BOS to CDG - same. BOS to PAR? Same. Different dates? Same. Then just suggest where I could go!!! Or when. Or something?!?!?

Downloaded this app for a flight from LA to Naples and back and it was useless. It couldn’t remember who I was, though I was signed in; couldn’t find my booking though they sent me an email with notice to check in, and of course I couldn’t use this app to manage my trip since it never was able to recall anything about the trip or me. What’s the point of this app? Add that to a truly mediocre Business Class and you will will find yourselves downloading that British Airways app (w/fabulous Business Class) ASAP.

The App never remembers any data even though I ask it to remember them every time. Not my passport information, not my permanent resident card information, not my frequent flyer card information. It does not even remember my booking code to check in for the return flight. Checking in takes far longer than at the counter in the airport. But I keep using it to secure seats and to receive flight updates. Please, please make the App remember my data. This is such a pain! I am using the iPhone Xs with iOS 13.4

Does the job. It’s not always easy to find the useful information and the bookings are not necessarily linked to the account info for quick access. A bit slow. No extra. Apps like the United one are much better.

I paid for business class and the seat was broken, and would not lay out so I could sleep! I told a flight attendant and three of them came over but could not fix it! They could not move me bc the flight was full! No more available business class seats! Now they have lost my luggage!!! I came from Dallas to Tel Aviv and I have NO luggage!!!

Gate information was inconsistent within the app itself. When you view the boarding pass it say Gate A16 but when you click one more step to show full boarding pass it say the Gate is A11. Also it actively tries to uses location, draining battery at airport. This behavior is bad especially mobile boarding pass was the only pass I have. I almost ran out of battery if I did not notice it and killed this app.

1.The app is too slow to load your booking 2.Check in is not very easy and for choosing a seat it doesn’t show you the seating map and how many rows are in the plane 3.It ask you for your booking reference every time! Just compare it with other airlines’ app!Lufthansa, you can do much better than this!

Worse than using a web browser

The app seems to be mainly an interface to the Lufthansa website. But it is worse because a regular web browser would at least remember my login, whereas by using this app, it asks me to login every time I habe not used it for a few days. Also, I cannot even seem to use it to look up past bookings. Terrible user experience. Update after reply from LH: Logging in with m&m. Also had to login for both the regular and the MM areas separately even though I use the same credentials in both. Tried again just now. This time I didn't have to re-login. But it happened several times in the past three weeks. Showed that I have two notifications, but tapping the menu item did nothing. Did then force quit the app. Now the notifications appear. If there was a choice to remember the login I sure would have checked it. But don't remember seeing one.

The Lufthansa app is one of the most frustrating apps I use. Most content is just pulled from corresponding web sites. It is slow, it is badly rendered, definitely not like a native iOS app. Even the oddly asymmetric yellow wait cursor gives you the creeps. Login credentials are regularly lost. Then good luck remembering whether to log in with your email, Lufthansa ID, or M&M username (they all exist in parallel). What bugs me recently is the flight status. Flight selection does not persist, so you have to enter the route or the flight number over and over. Refreshing often results in errors. And selection disappears right after the flight has arrived (very practical for those picking up someone). And you cannot pin status on the home screen, in contrast to most other airline apps. Where is the flight coming from? Other airlines offer this for years.

This app is an embarrassment to Germany. For a country that traditionally emphasized accuracy and precision, this app is a disgrace. The only thing worse is the website. This is clunky, slow, error prone and frustrating. Go to United, Orbitz or Expedia instead where these websites are intuitive and customer friendly. Lufthansa is an exercise in futility programmed by juveniles from the 1980’s. Outsource your web and app development to competent individuals that quality control their work rather than presenting this horse manure as an excuse.

The app and customer service are dreadful! When you register after agreeing to all the cookies / statistics etc they need to gather quote “ for app to function fully)! Leads me to my warning!!!!! Warning do not put your salutation information in when you register!!!!! - for example if you select Professor it will add this to your ticket - I ask you - who’s govt ID adds that title? In addition if you call to speak with web help - they will scold you!!! Plus no one could correct my now changed reservation - simply dreadful app and unprofessional customer service (FYI calls were routed to Manila ) do not download the app - and hire new web help that have customer service skills and can actually help!!!

I had booking DEL-JFK, booking thru Priceline with promised Aisle seat. MR Rajan was rude and changed it to middle saying I could do whatever. He was very very unprofessional. I think I will never travel this airline.

Been trying to use this with their watch app for literally years. I only get the tour screen on the watch or it crashes. I can count the number of times it’s worked in the last 2 years on, well one finger. When it worked it was great but that’s almost worse than it now working at all. I’ve tried updating, rebooting both devices, uninstalling an reinstalling with no success. I upgraded Apple watches twice since my first report - nothing changes.

1. It is way too slow this side of the ocean. 2. App does not link directly from booking to check-in, I had to retype my reservation number for it to find me. 3. After going over multiple screens answering questions and dire warnings about my passport, it bluntly says it cannot check me it at this time. A pretty bad experience overall. LH should look at an app made by ANY of their American peers to see how this is supposed to work.

The Lufthansa App allows the user to book/ look up a trip, upgrade seats, connect with Miles & More & there’s a upload a playlist version too. There should be Reminder Tips that Lufthansa Staff is there to assist you. Use minimum devices & gadgets at Airports & during travel. Avoid use of internet. Rely on Staff & Paper tickets too. Take Travel Tips as you have to fly across Countries & perhaps, Continents too.

This app and the LH website, other than the good graphic design, are a mess. Not only do you have to constantly sign in, but if you don’t use the app for months, your password is no longer good. The Reset Password process is not functional as you never get the email with link/instructions. If you send a message to customer service, they take days to get back to you. When they finally do, they tell you to call a number that you can find in their website.

App has bunch of fancy options, but non of them work. Completely useless. When option fails they will give you 1 800 number to call, when you reach customer service agent over the phone, they have no ability to solve problems or actually help customers.

I booked a flight and it took the money and no booking confirmation came up! Waiting on the phone to talk to somebody to get my flight or money back! I did got the app and chat with a representative and she had to cancel that booking and then I had to go on the website and redo everything! I did get my flight in the end!

The European and Asian carriers need to seriously look at Delta, Alaska and probably any other major US airline and get their mobile OS developers to work on their apps. For a major European airline this is pathetic. Initially I couldn’t check in for my flight. Apparently my passport information didn’t go through properly. It didn’t tell me my information was incorrect; I just got an error that said I couldn’t check in. Very frustrating. I went in circles until I figured out my passport info needed to be scanned in. Still, once everything was in the app is clunky and doesn’t flow at all. For westerners that like to use their phones to check in for their flight and scan your phone at the gate, I don’t recommend. Plan on spending a lot of frustrating time figuring out what you need to enter to get it to work right.

This app is woefully bad. Will always tell you it cannot find your booking because the last name is different, even though you obviously have used the same name. Reward miles never show up properly because it doesn’t recognize your name. It is very difficult to navigate and not user friendly!

There is consistency between the app and the web site... pathetic! Filed detailed complaint with LH senator customer line but was ignored. App and web sites are from a previous decade. Pathetically slow, inflexible, inefficient and ineffective. Someone would get the impression that LH is still flying biplanes based on their IT systems. Why do I need to go through check-in three times if I want to receive my boarding pass by email, download it in my apple wallet, and download to to my computer? Why when I/LH change me seat before boarding, that is not reflected in the app/web site? Why when I get rerouted, as it happen recently when a drone messed up the entire schedule in FRA, the new boarding passes where not available on the app/web site? Why when on the web site, I am in my account, on a specific booking and want to check-in, it redirects me to a general check-in page where I need to fill in my name and booking reference?!?! Why when I use the app, it comes up with the utmost pathetic error message: based on your browsing we thought your are a bot! Seriously??? Using the app, I most likely had to be a Morse code operator not a bot, it’s that slow. In most instances, I receive the information that my flight is open for boarding when I have already boarded and in my seat! I hope LH will one day get serious and enter the 21 century with respect to IT. BTW there is talk about IoT.... :)

This app is really bad. I’m logged in, checked into a flight, and yet it still doesn’t show my flight or boarding pass. I have to click around forever to get anything done. To developers: check the United app — it is great. I’m not a fan of United but the app is done right. Learn from it and fix your nonsense, there is no excuse.
Best travel companion on LH flights

Before I installed this app, I had a habit of printing out everything (all info) for my flight. Since I have istalled the app - I don’t remember if I ever lost the track of any details. It saved me from a lot of trouble few times. It is always spot on for gate info, easy to navigate, has all what I need for my travels. Download boarding passes before you lose connectivity though!

This has to be the worst airline app on the planet. And I should note that I downloaded this yesterday and haven’t even tried to use it at an airport for check in. This review is based purely on trying to select a seat. - Trying to complete a seat upgrade purchase is an infinity loop of frustration that continues to prompt you to “enter all information” even though you’ve entered ever piece of information possible. - Oh did you book a Premium ticket but that section is full so you want to see seat availability in the main cabin? Good luck. That’s not an option. - Be prepared to get a warning that the app can’t find your reservation because your last name is different from what was used at booking....even when it’s literally the same spelling you booked with and what’s on the Lufthansa website itinerary. - Finally, WHYYYYY am I constantly being prompted to accept cookies within an app?!!! Dear gawd leave me alone.
Slow, convoluted, buggy , intrusive

The app is a drastic improvement over the web site ( i could not even checkin on Lufthansa web site from my ipad), BUT the app is slow , it has counter intuitive user interface , it could not scan my new biometric passport (US) , it still display status of the flight that completed yesterday ( no way to delete it ) , while I have difficulty adding two consequitive flights . There is also excessive and completely unnecessary amount of security checks , this is just an airline , not a freaking bank. Overall idea of the app is excelent , but the interface is convoluted , counterintuitive and buggy. Just discovered that they want to collect my personal information just to submit this review , when submitting from within the application , i am going to submit through app store and give it a one star just for that ( instead of 3 i intended originally )

The European and Asian carriers need to seriously look at Delta, Alaska and probably any other major US airline and get their mobile OS developers to work on their apps. For a major European airline this is pathetic. Initially I couldn’t check in for my flight. Apparently my passport information didn’t go through properly. It didn’t tell me my information was incorrect; I just got an error that said I couldn’t check in. Very frustrating. I went in circles until I figured out my passport info needed to be scanned in. Still, once everything was in the app is clunky and doesn’t flow at all. For westerners that like to use their phones to check in for their flight and scan your phone at the gate, I don’t recommend. Plan on spending a lot of frustrating time figuring out what you need to enter to get it to work right.
Slow and annoyingly difficult to use

This app is so slow that it is nearly unusable. Add to that the ridiculous number of times data entry is required to go to the next step. If you are already logged into the app, why should you manually have to add booking reference numbers to see your bookings. That info should already be associated with your account. Similarly, if you are viewing a booking and click on check in, the app then prompts again for the booking reference again. Make absolutely no sense. Another bug i noticed was for notifications. A fill day after arriving at my destination, I received a notification that the gate had changed and the flight was boarding.

Spent nearly an hour trying to retrieve booking in order to download eJournals. Even that I was able to retrieve my booking details, the eJournal option is buried somewhere in a hidden menu and redirected me to an external website (which I already tried before downloading the app for this very same purpose hoping to get a different result). Basically the web cannot recognize my last name and or booking locator for this purpose (while otherwise it works for any other options). Silly that you have to enter your details twice and it won’t even recognize your booking. For Swiss this works perfectly.... Make it simple!

The entire Lufthansa system could use a do-over. On the plus side, my tickets for a family of four showed up in the app and could be scanned at the gate, security, and customs. On the down side, entering passport information is a complete fail; I was only successful on the website ON MY PHONE. Very frustrating all around. The info I put in for my flight to Europe was not copied to my return flights and it all had to be entered again. Also, my Miles account never showed my flight information, I could only see the flights logged in at Lufthansa.

The app and customer service are dreadful! When you register after agreeing to all the cookies / statistics etc they need to gather quote “ for app to function fully)! Leads me to my warning!!!!! Warning do not put your salutation information in when you register!!!!! - for example if you select Professor it will add this to your ticket - I ask you - who’s govt ID adds that title? In addition if you call to speak with web help - they will scold you!!! Plus no one could correct my now changed reservation - simply dreadful app and unprofessional customer service (FYI calls were routed to Manila ) do not download the app - and hire new web help that have customer service skills and can actually help!!!
Took our money and our flights

We were told by the customer support line what our refund would be an approximate amount on 3 x business class flights. The refund amount was $60 dollars! The support line also told us if we were not happy with refund they would reinstate our flights. We have tried everything to get our flights reinstated as who would cancel 3 business class flights for $60 ??!! If we had known we would never canceled. The support line gave us the incorrect information and now they will do nothing to assist us! Now they can sell our tickets and make double for the seats. It is thievery! Do not fly this airline.

Gate information was inconsistent within the app itself. When you view the boarding pass it say Gate A16 but when you click one more step to show full boarding pass it say the Gate is A11. Also it actively tries to uses location, draining battery at airport. This behavior is bad especially mobile boarding pass was the only pass I have. I almost ran out of battery if I did not notice it and killed this app.
Visa entries and Known Traveler Information capture not working

The app does work well for booking and flight status information in general, but once you start capturing all your detailed information, including Passport data, Visa information, Known Traveller ID, etc. it’s buggy as it could be. It asks for all data and shows on the form screen that everything was entered correctly, and as soon as you hit Save, you get error messages. Very painful when you go through the process with a family of four (4) twice only to find out the software simply does not work. UGH!
pathetic webview version forcing you to give out personal data

The update worsened things. At first start it asks if i want to manage personal data or do it later. Selecting first option the app brings you to the initial screen with 2 options instead of 3: login or register. Regardless if i terminate at this point app or not, I NEVER can get back 3rd option that allows me to bypass registration. So if i click Register, appears again pitiful webview screen where exactly HALF of the screen is blocked by Accept/Manage "data stealing" dialog(cookie crap). By clicking "Manage data stealing" button the app hangs totally. Termination helps as well as deleting forever.

The Lufthansa App allows the user to book/ look up a trip, upgrade seats, connect with Miles & More & there’s a upload a playlist version too. There should be Reminder Tips that Lufthansa Staff is there to assist you. Use minimum devices & gadgets at Airports & during travel. Avoid use of internet. Rely on Staff & Paper tickets too. Take Travel Tips as you have to fly across Countries & perhaps, Continents too.

I love that the app keeps my data when I tell it to keep it. I don’t have to reload information that I need for every flight. The app is also great at pulling in all my LH bookings no matter how they were booked. None of my other airline apps manage that. Only thing that could be improved is the speed at which the app goes from one page to the next.

Nothing on the app works. You can’t see the seat map as it errors out. You have seats on the boarding pass, but not in the app. Upgrades? Nope... nothing to see here. Amenities... your guess is as good as anyone’s as they aren’t visible. You can log in 3 different ways, but none of them are the email address you used to create the account. Just horrible! If this is how they treat their customers (you don’t need information), this will be my last Lufthansa flight, and I’m 1k in United, their partner airline. Lufthansa is not worth the hassle of not knowing anything about the flight.

You’re better off using a third party, this app was developed either by (1) Interns or (2) A good firm on a shoestring budget [I do this kind of stuff for a living and this is atrocious]. I’ve spent 2 hours trying to book a flight and every single time it errors out at some point in the process. Randomly asks me for captcha (you’re moving too fast ... duh, because I’ve done the entire process 6 times now!) and randomly log you out (“You’ve been inactive for 20 minutes” ... Um, no, I haven’t been) This makes me wonder if Lufthansa actually wants me as a customer still...
Worse than using a web browser

The app seems to be mainly an interface to the Lufthansa website. But it is worse because a regular web browser would at least remember my login, whereas by using this app, it asks me to login every time I habe not used it for a few days. Also, I cannot even seem to use it to look up past bookings. Terrible user experience. Update after reply from LH: Logging in with m&m. Also had to login for both the regular and the MM areas separately even though I use the same credentials in both. Tried again just now. This time I didn't have to re-login. But it happened several times in the past three weeks. Showed that I have two notifications, but tapping the menu item did nothing. Did then force quit the app. Now the notifications appear. If there was a choice to remember the login I sure would have checked it. But don't remember seeing one.

This is a tragically bad application, considering Lufthansa is supposed to be a good airline. Slow, convoluted and timing out sessions on MY PHONE "to protect me" but my Miles and More acct stays logged in (so, you can still get to data, just with even more clicks and NO LOGGING IN AGAIN). Why the timeout in the first place? Baggage information is hidden like someone's life depended on that, good luck finding out what your actual checked baggage allowance is. Help menu is a JOKE! And the mile long form one had to fill out for any request is literally insultingly long to prevent people from actually asking for help.

This app never works! Just goes round and round in circles when you enter your login information. To add, this has been going on for at least couple of years since I’ve started using it. Nobody seems to care or wants to fix it. So sad for a pretty good airline to have an awful app and not care to make it work! It doesn’t stop here because when you go on desktop/laptop computer it still has issues. Also, they make it very confusing to choose if one would use Lufthansa or Miles&More app!

Very frustrating app. Frequently crashes or freezes up. Says I have 4 boarding passes for each of 2 flights, but displays only 1 for one flight. On Home Page, can’t scroll down to get to Feedback - just resets immediately to top of list. When I select something in list, just goes back to Home page. Says I don’t have connectivity to Internet, but I do, and when I try again, it works. I have used many other airline apps with great success. This is the first time I am flying Lufthansa and using their app and so far it’s not going too well.

I am a 1K member and travel quite frequently. I have started trying to avoid the Lufthansa flights where I can because the process of traveling, or trying to check in, or managing reservations has been maddening between the app and the website. They are never in sync. And more than half of a dozen times, when I try to check in the app or website crashes. And what’s awful about that is it’s typically after Ive gone into a bunch of screens and have entered a bunch of information

The checking process in Zurich is so unorganized. First, there was no large signage indicating where to check in for Lufthansa. After walking all over the area and asking people who worked in the airport, where to go, we finally found someone who could help. This now meant walking a very long distance to another area of the airport (section 1). We then couldn’t find what to do before we realized the checkin was under the Swiss Air banner. In small letters, it displayed Lufthansa. The signage for those who don’t speak German is horrible.

Doesn’t allow easy access/switching between multiple trips. Doesn’t allow easy checkin/seat changes from trips. Bad flight information updates and gate assignments/changes. Doesn’t allow rebooking for delayed/canceled flights. Glitches in producing passes on multiple passenger records. Bad organization of options on home screen making it more cumbersome to do the most common tasks. Web support only during limited east coast business hours M-F

This is such a shame for big air company to have so terrible app and website. You never know when and how ‘something went wrong’. This message you are going to receive constantly even though you make the simplest operation (like booking or editing your profile and btw no matter you put into profile app is going to use old data ). Simply forget about using your miles you always will get an error. Meanwhile Austrian airline’s website is nice and reliable.

Been trying to use this with their watch app for literally years. I only get the tour screen on the watch or it crashes. I can count the number of times it’s worked in the last 2 years on, well one finger. When it worked it was great but that’s almost worse than it now working at all. I’ve tried updating, rebooting both devices, uninstalling an reinstalling with no success. I upgraded Apple watches twice since my first report - nothing changes.

This app seems to work pretty good. Check in and finding everything is really simple and easy to work with which makes it great. Flight notification is lagging but that can be lived with for most people. I’m used to getting almost real time updates. But the layout and ease of use make up for that!

This app and the LH website, other than the good graphic design, are a mess. Not only do you have to constantly sign in, but if you don’t use the app for months, your password is no longer good. The Reset Password process is not functional as you never get the email with link/instructions. If you send a message to customer service, they take days to get back to you. When they finally do, they tell you to call a number that you can find in their website.

Downloaded this app for a flight from LA to Naples and back and it was useless. It couldn’t remember who I was, though I was signed in; couldn’t find my booking though they sent me an email with notice to check in, and of course I couldn’t use this app to manage my trip since it never was able to recall anything about the trip or me. What’s the point of this app? Add that to a truly mediocre Business Class and you will will find yourselves downloading that British Airways app (w/fabulous Business Class) ASAP.

This app is an embarrassment to Germany. For a country that traditionally emphasized accuracy and precision, this app is a disgrace. The only thing worse is the website. This is clunky, slow, error prone and frustrating. Go to United, Orbitz or Expedia instead where these websites are intuitive and customer friendly. Lufthansa is an exercise in futility programmed by juveniles from the 1980’s. Outsource your web and app development to competent individuals that quality control their work rather than presenting this horse manure as an excuse.

Bad notifications

App good for check in and having tickets in wallet, but the flight notifications don’t work properly. App sent me push notifications telling me that my flight was now boarding. I left the lounge, went to the gate and was told there that the flight wouldn’t be boarding for another 30 minutes. There was been any change of flight time at the gate, the app just jumped the gun by a half hour. The gate agents had no explanation why. In retrospect, I should have kept the app closed and just used the Apple wallet. My boarding pass on Apple wallet had the correct boarding time, while the boarding pass in the Lufthansa app listed the flight as boarding “Now” for the full 30 minutes before the gate opened.

I was bringing my small poodle to Rwanda via this airline,I had booked it for September,lucky I wanted to change the flight for July only to be told my dog can’t fly had not checked I would’ve wondered to the airport unaware of these changes. They say it’s due this Coronavirus bs,they made the virus so personal, if the airline can at least give us pet owners some form of notification when pets can fly a gain because I had to arrange a pet foster care until this airline can allow pets to fly please reply thanks

This is the best App. I can track my miles quite easily. And most importantly, I can see the schedules of flight, their time changes, gate changes, and cancellations or delays. Further it can inform me when a flight takes off, and when it lands. It is a great app.

The app displays all my flight information. I receive alerts on gate changes, departure times and delays. I can access all my reservations and flight details. I think this app is great - very well designed and very functional.

Lousy, slow and pretty useless

1. It is way too slow this side of the ocean. 2. App does not link directly from booking to check-in, I had to retype my reservation number for it to find me. 3. After going over multiple screens answering questions and dire warnings about my passport, it bluntly says it cannot check me it at this time. A pretty bad experience overall. LH should look at an app made by ANY of their American peers to see how this is supposed to work.

I booked a flight and it took the money and no booking confirmation came up! Waiting on the phone to talk to somebody to get my flight or money back! I did got the app and chat with a representative and she had to cancel that booking and then I had to go on the website and redo everything! I did get my flight in the end!

Then you get erratic responses („unable to book a flight from your destination“ (which was MUC) - even though there are many non stop flights to my dest). You try again and it miraculously works. Trying to book a flight after spending 20 minutes trying to register an account to log in. I typo’ed my name - forget trying to fix it - you’ll never get through to anyone. When booking, there are errors trying to book BNA to CDG. No reason why, just can’t be done. Then try BOS to CDG - same. BOS to PAR? Same. Different dates? Same. Then just suggest where I could go!!! Or when. Or something?!?!?

This is a tragically bad application, considering Lufthansa is supposed to be a good airline. Slow, convoluted and timing out sessions on MY PHONE "to protect me" but my Miles and More acct stays logged in (so, you can still get to data, just with even more clicks and NO LOGGING IN AGAIN). Why the timeout in the first place? Baggage information is hidden like someone's life depended on that, good luck finding out what your actual checked baggage allowance is. Help menu is a JOKE! And the mile long form one had to fill out for any request is literally insultingly long to prevent people from actually asking for help.

The checking process in Zurich is so unorganized. First, there was no large signage indicating where to check in for Lufthansa. After walking all over the area and asking people who worked in the airport, where to go, we finally found someone who could help. This now meant walking a very long distance to another area of the airport (section 1). We then couldn’t find what to do before we realized the checkin was under the Swiss Air banner. In small letters, it displayed Lufthansa. The signage for those who don’t speak German is horrible.

Perhaps it’s because I’m stateside but the app is slow and the UI is extra clumsy. Logging in can mean nothing at times. Certain parts of the app don’t seem to know that you’re already authenticated. While fairly well planned out and organized, actual experience is terrible. Just checking upcoming flight details can be utterly bothersome.

This is such a shame for big air company to have so terrible app and website. You never know when and how ‘something went wrong’. This message you are going to receive constantly even though you make the simplest operation (like booking or editing your profile and btw no matter you put into profile app is going to use old data ). Simply forget about using your miles you always will get an error. Meanwhile Austrian airline’s website is nice and reliable.

We were told by the customer support line what our refund would be an approximate amount on 3 x business class flights. The refund amount was $60 dollars! The support line also told us if we were not happy with refund they would reinstate our flights. We have tried everything to get our flights reinstated as who would cancel 3 business class flights for $60 ??!! If we had known we would never canceled. The support line gave us the incorrect information and now they will do nothing to assist us! Now they can sell our tickets and make double for the seats. It is thievery! Do not fly this airline.

I purchased return ticket so why is Luthsnsa not able to able to pull up my passport info from onwards flight. Also what did it merge my first name and middle name on confirmed booking which I think is causing problems so now it says it could not generate a ticket so I need to go to checkin counter. App should not have checked me in , and it sould have corrected issue before checking me in - now I am checked in without a e-ticket and now I still have to go to ticket counter. In my over 30 year international travel this is first I cannot print boarding pass and it makes me fill out passport info, forward and return journey. Also the app asks me if I have bus or I am tourist but Dues not provide option to select I am citizen, since I have USA passport - Luthsnsa needs to fix the app. Also I flew low cost Indian airline Indigo and their seats have a lot of space, but Luthsnsa a large international airline has very cramped seats with tight legroom and arm rest area tight. I am slim and short - feel sorry fir the tall and fat passengers. I think the luthansa CEO need to travel on its India flight few times in economy. Trying to book a flight after spending 20 minutes trying to register an account to log in. I typo’ed my name - forget trying to fix it - you’ll never get through to anyone. When booking, there are errors trying to book BNA to CDG. No reason why, just can’t be done. Then try BOS to CDG - same. BOS to PAR? Same. Different dates? Same. Then just suggest where I could go!!! Downloaded this app for a flight from LA to Naples and back and it was useless. It couldn’t remember who I was, though I was signed in; couldn’t find my booking though they sent me an email with notice to check in, and of course I couldn’t use this app to manage my trip since it never was able to recall anything about the trip or me. What’s the point of this app? Add that to a truly mediocre Business Class and you will will find yourselves downloading that British Airways app (w/fabulous Business Class) ASAP.

The App never remembers any data even though I ask it to remember them every time. Not my passport information, not my permanent resident card information, not my frequent flyer card information. It does not even remember my booking code to check in for the return flight. Checking in takes far longer than at the counter in the airport. But I keep using it to secure seats and to receive flight updates. Please, please make the App remember my data. This is such a pain! I am using the iPhone Xs with iOS 13.4

Gate information was inconsistent within the app itself. When you view the boarding pass it say Gate A16 but when you click one more step to show full boarding pass it say the Gate is A11. Also it actively tries to uses location, draining battery at airport. This behavior is bad especially mobile boarding pass was the only pass I have. I almost ran out of battery if I did not notice it and killed this app.

The app seems to be mainly an interface to the Lufthansa website. But it is worse because a regular web browser would at least remember my login, whereas by using this app, it asks me to login every time I habe not used it for a few days. Also, I cannot even seem to use it to look up past bookings. Terrible user experience. Update after reply from LH: Logging in with m&m. Also had to login for both the regular and the MM areas separately even though I use the same credentials in both. Tried again just now. This time I didn't have to re-login. But it happened several times in the past three weeks. Showed that I have two notifications, but tapping the menu item did nothing. Did then force quit the app. Now the notifications appear. If there was a choice to remember the login I sure would have checked it. But don't remember seeing one.

The Lufthansa app is one of the most frustrating apps I use. Most content is just pulled from corresponding web sites. It is slow, it is badly rendered, definitely not like a native iOS app. Even the oddly asymmetric yellow wait cursor gives you the creeps. Login credentials are regularly lost. Then good luck remembering whether to log in with your email, Lufthansa ID, or M&M username (they all exist in parallel). What bugs me recently is the flight status. Flight selection does not persist, so you have to enter the route or the flight number over and over. Refreshing often results in errors. And selection disappears right after the flight has arrived (very practical for those picking up someone). And you cannot pin status on the home screen, in contrast to most other airline apps. Where is the flight coming from? Other airlines offer this for years.

This is clunky, slow, error prone and frustrating. Go to United, Orbitz or Expedia instead where these websites are intuitive and customer friendly. The app and customer service are dreadful! When you register after agreeing to all the cookies / statistics etc they need to gather quote “ for app to function fully)! Leads me to my warning!!!!! Warning do not put your salutation information in when you register!!!!! - for example if you select Professor it will add this to your ticket - I ask you - who’s govt ID adds that title? In addition if you call to speak with web help - they will scold you!!! Plus no one could correct my now changed reservation - simply dreadful app and unprofessional customer service (FYI calls were routed to Manila ) do not download the app - and hire new web help that have customer service skills and can actually help!!!

Been trying to use this with their watch app for literally years. I only get the tour screen on the watch or it crashes. I can count the number of times it’s worked in the last 2 years on, well one finger. When it worked it was great but that’s almost worse than it now working at all. I’ve tried updating, rebooting both devices, uninstalling an reinstalling with no success. I upgraded Apple watches twice since my first report - nothing changes.

1. It is way too slow this side of the ocean. 2. App does not link directly from booking to check-in, I had to retype my reservation number for it to find me. 3. After going over multiple screens answering questions and dire warnings about my passport, it bluntly says it cannot check me it at this time. A pretty bad experience overall. LH should look at an app made by ANY of their American peers to see how this is supposed to work.

The Lufthansa App allows the user to book/ look up a trip, upgrade seats, connect with Miles & More & there’s a upload a playlist version too. There should be Reminder Tips that Lufthansa Staff is there to assist you. Use minimum devices & gadgets at Airports & during travel. Avoid use of internet. Rely on Staff & Paper tickets too. This app and the LH website, other than the good graphic design, are a mess. Not only do you have to constantly sign in, but if you don’t use the app for months, your password is no longer good. The Reset Password process is not functional as you never get the email with link/instructions. If you send a message to customer service, they take days to get back to you. When they finally do, they tell you to call a number that you can find in their website.

The European and Asian carriers need to seriously look at Delta, Alaska and probably any other major US airline and get their mobile OS developers to work on their apps. For a major European airline this is pathetic. Initially I couldn’t check in for my flight. Apparently my passport information didn’t go through properly. It didn’t tell me my information was incorrect; I just got an error that said I couldn’t check in. Very frustrating. I went in circles until I figured out my passport info needed to be scanned in. Still, once everything was in the app is clunky and doesn’t flow at all. For westerners that like to use their phones to check in for their flight and scan your phone at the gate, I don’t recommend. Plan on spending a lot of frustrating time figuring out what you need to enter to get it to work right.

There is consistency between the app and the web site... pathetic! Filed detailed complaint with LH senator customer line but was ignored. App and web sites are from a previous decade. Pathetically slow, inflexible, inefficient and ineffective. Someone would get the impression that LH is still flying biplanes based on their IT systems. Why do I need to go through check-in three times if I want to receive my boarding pass by email, download it in my apple wallet, and download to to my computer? Why when I/LH change me seat before boarding, that is not reflected in the app/web site? Why when I get rerouted, as it happen recently when a drone messed up the entire schedule in FRA, the new boarding passes where not available on the app/web site? Why when on the web site, I am in my account, on a specific booking and want to check-in, it redirects me to a general check-in page where I need to fill in my name and booking reference?!?! Why when I use the app, it comes up with the utmost pathetic error message: based on your browsing we thought your are a bot! Seriously??? Using the app, I most likely had to be a Morse code operator not a bot, it’s that slow. In most instances, I receive the information that my flight is open for boarding when I have already boarded and in my seat! I hope LH will one day get serious and enter the 21 century with respect to IT. BTW there is talk about IoT.... :)

This app is really bad. I’m logged in, checked into a flight, and yet it still doesn’t show my flight or boarding pass. I have to click around forever to get anything done. To developers: check the United app — it is great. I’m not a fan of United but the app is done right. Learn from it and fix your nonsense, there is no excuse.

Before I installed this app, I had a habit of printing out everything (all info) for my flight. Since I have istalled the app - I don’t remember if I ever lost the track of any details. It saved me from a lot of trouble few times. It is always spot on for gate info, easy to navigate, has all what I need for my travels. Download boarding passes before you lose connectivity though!

This has to be the worst airline app on the planet. And I should note that I downloaded this yesterday and haven’t even tried to use it at an airport for check in. This review is based purely on trying to select a seat. - Trying to complete a seat upgrade purchase is an infinity loop of frustration that continues to prompt you to “enter all information” even though you’ve entered ever piece of information possible. - Oh did you book a Premium ticket but that section is full so you want to see seat availability in the main cabin? Good luck. That’s not an option. - Be prepared to get a warning that the app can’t find your reservation because your last name is different from what was used at booking....even when it’s literally the same spelling you booked with and what’s on the Lufthansa website itinerary. - Finally, WHYYYYY am I constantly being prompted to accept cookies within an app?!!! Dear gawd leave me alone.
Slow, convoluted, buggy , intrusive

The app is a drastic improvement over the web site ( i could not even checkin on Lufthansa web site from my ipad), BUT the app is slow , it has counter intuitive user interface , it could not scan my new biometric passport (US) , it still display status of the flight that completed yesterday ( no way to delete it ) , while I have difficulty adding two consequitive flights . There is also excessive and completely unnecessary amount of security checks , this is just an airline , not a freaking bank. Overall idea of the app is excelent , but the interface is convoluted , counterintuitive and buggy. Just discovered that they want to collect my personal information just to submit this review , when submitting from within the application , i am going to submit through app store and give it a one star just for that ( instead of 3 i intended originally )
Terrible Layout

The European and Asian carriers need to seriously look at Delta, Alaska and probably any other major US airline and get their mobile OS developers to work on their apps. For a major European airline this is pathetic. Initially I couldn’t check in for my flight. Apparently my passport information didn’t go through properly. It didn’t tell me my information was incorrect; I just got an error that said I couldn’t check in. Very frustrating. I went in circles until I figured out my passport info needed to be scanned in. Still, once everything was in the app is clunky and doesn’t flow at all. For westerners that like to use their phones to check in for their flight and scan your phone at the gate, I don’t recommend. Plan on spending a lot of frustrating time figuring out what you need to enter to get it to work right.
Slow and annoyingly difficult to use

This app is so slow that it is nearly unusable. Add to that the ridiculous number of times data entry is required to go to the next step. If you are already logged into the app, why should you manually have to add booking reference numbers to see your bookings. That info should already be associated with your account. Similarly, if you are viewing a booking and click on check in, the app then prompts again for the booking reference again. Make absolutely no sense. Another bug i noticed was for notifications. A fill day after arriving at my destination, I received a notification that the gate had changed and the flight was boarding.

Spent nearly an hour trying to retrieve booking in order to download eJournals. Even that I was able to retrieve my booking details, the eJournal option is buried somewhere in a hidden menu and redirected me to an external website (which I already tried before downloading the app for this very same purpose hoping to get a different result). Basically the web cannot recognize my last name and or booking locator for this purpose (while otherwise it works for any other options). Silly that you have to enter your details twice and it won’t even recognize your booking. For Swiss this works perfectly.... Make it simple!

The entire Lufthansa system could use a do-over. On the plus side, my tickets for a family of four showed up in the app and could be scanned at the gate, security, and customs. On the down side, entering passport information is a complete fail; I was only successful on the website ON MY PHONE. Very frustrating all around. The info I put in for my flight to Europe was not copied to my return flights and it all had to be entered again. Also, my Miles account never showed my flight information, I could only see the flights logged in at Lufthansa.

The app and customer service are dreadful! When you register after agreeing to all the cookies / statistics etc they need to gather quote “ for app to function fully)! Leads me to my warning!!!!! Warning do not put your salutation information in when you register!!!!! - for example if you select Professor it will add this to your ticket - I ask you - who’s govt ID adds that title? In addition if you call to speak with web help - they will scold you!!! Plus no one could correct my now changed reservation - simply dreadful app and unprofessional customer service (FYI calls were routed to Manila ) do not download the app - and hire new web help that have customer service skills and can actually help!!!
Took our money and our flights

We were told by the customer support line what our refund would be an approximate amount on 3 x business class flights. The refund amount was $60 dollars! The support line also told us if we were not happy with refund they would reinstate our flights. We have tried everything to get our flights reinstated as who would cancel 3 business class flights for $60 ??!! If we had known we would never canceled. The support line gave us the incorrect information and now they will do nothing to assist us! Now they can sell our tickets and make double for the seats. It is thievery! Do not fly this airline.

Gate information was inconsistent within the app itself. When you view the boarding pass it say Gate A16 but when you click one more step to show full boarding pass it say the Gate is A11. Also it actively tries to uses location, draining battery at airport. This behavior is bad especially mobile boarding pass was the only pass I have. I almost ran out of battery if I did not notice it and killed this app.
Visa entries and Known Traveler Information capture not working

The app does work well for booking and flight status information in general, but once you start capturing all your detailed information, including Passport data, Visa information, Known Traveller ID, etc. it’s buggy as it could be. It asks for all data and shows on the form screen that everything was entered correctly, and as soon as you hit Save, you get error messages. Very painful when you go through the process with a family of four (4) twice only to find out the software simply does not work. UGH!
pathetic webview version forcing you to give out personal data

The update worsened things. At first start it asks if i want to manage personal data or do it later. Selecting first option the app brings you to the initial screen with 2 options instead of 3: login or register. Regardless if i terminate at this point app or not, I NEVER can get back 3rd option that allows me to bypass registration. So if i click Register, appears again pitiful webview screen where exactly HALF of the screen is blocked by Accept/Manage "data stealing" dialog(cookie crap). By clicking "Manage data stealing" button the app hangs totally. Termination helps as well as deleting forever.

The Lufthansa App allows the user to book/ look up a trip, upgrade seats, connect with Miles & More & there’s a upload a playlist version too. There should be Reminder Tips that Lufthansa Staff is there to assist you. Use minimum devices & gadgets at Airports & during travel. Avoid use of internet. Rely on Staff & Paper tickets too. Take Travel Tips as you have to fly across Countries & perhaps, Continents too.

I love that the app keeps my data when I tell it to keep it. I don’t have to reload information that I need for every flight. The app is also great at pulling in all my LH bookings no matter how they were booked. None of my other airline apps manage that. Only thing that could be improved is the speed at which the app goes from one page to the next.

Nothing on the app works. You can’t see the seat map as it errors out. You have seats on the boarding pass, but not in the app. Upgrades? Nope... nothing to see here. Amenities... your guess is as good as anyone’s as they aren’t visible. You can log in 3 different ways, but none of them are the email address you used to create the account. Just horrible! If this is how they treat their customers (you don’t need information), this will be my last Lufthansa flight, and I’m 1k in United, their partner airline. Lufthansa is not worth the hassle of not knowing anything about the flight.

You’re better off using a third party, this app was developed either by (1) Interns or (2) A good firm on a shoestring budget [I do this kind of stuff for a living and this is atrocious]. I’ve spent 2 hours trying to book a flight and every single time it errors out at some point in the process. Randomly asks me for captcha (you’re moving too fast ... duh, because I’ve done the entire process 6 times now!) and randomly log you out (“You’ve been inactive for 20 minutes” ... Um, no, I haven’t been) This makes me wonder if Lufthansa actually wants me as a customer still...
Worse than using a web browser

The app seems to be mainly an interface to the Lufthansa website. But it is worse because a regular web browser would at least remember my login, whereas by using this app, it asks me to login every time I habe not used it for a few days. Also, I cannot even seem to use it to look up past bookings. Terrible user experience. Update after reply from LH: Logging in with m&m. Also had to login for both the regular and the MM areas separately even though I use the same credentials in both. Tried again just now. This time I didn't have to re-login. But it happened several times in the past three weeks. Showed that I have two notifications, but tapping the menu item did nothing. Did then force quit the app. Now the notifications appear. If there was a choice to remember the login I sure would have checked it. But don't remember seeing one.

This is a tragically bad application, considering Lufthansa is supposed to be a good airline. Slow, convoluted and timing out sessions on MY PHONE "to protect me" but my Miles and More acct stays logged in (so, you can still get to data, just with even more clicks and NO LOGGING IN AGAIN). Why the timeout in the first place? Baggage information is hidden like someone's life depended on that, good luck finding out what your actual checked baggage allowance is. Help menu is a JOKE! And the mile long form one had to fill out for any request is literally insultingly long to prevent people from actually asking for help.

This app never works! Just goes round and round in circles when you enter your login information. To add, this has been going on for at least couple of years since I’ve started using it. Nobody seems to care or wants to fix it. So sad for a pretty good airline to have an awful app and not care to make it work! It doesn’t stop here because when you go on desktop/laptop computer it still has issues. Also, they make it very confusing to choose if one would use Lufthansa or Miles&More app!

Very frustrating app. Frequently crashes or freezes up. Says I have 4 boarding passes for each of 2 flights, but displays only 1 for one flight. On Home Page, can’t scroll down to get to Feedback - just resets immediately to top of list. When I select something in list, just goes back to Home page. Says I don’t have connectivity to Internet, but I do, and when I try again, it works. I have used many other airline apps with great success. This is the first time I am flying Lufthansa and using their app and so far it’s not going too well.

I am a 1K member and travel quite frequently. I have started trying to avoid the Lufthansa flights where I can because the process of traveling, or trying to check in, or managing reservations has been maddening between the app and the website. They are never in sync. And more than half of a dozen times, when I try to check in the app or website crashes. And what’s awful about that is it’s typically after Ive gone into a bunch of screens and have entered a bunch of information

The checking process in Zurich is so unorganized. First, there was no large signage indicating where to check in for Lufthansa. After walking all over the area and asking people who worked in the airport, where to go, we finally found someone who could help. This now meant walking a very long distance to another area of the airport (section 1). We then couldn’t find what to do before we realized the checkin was under the Swiss Air banner. In small letters, it displayed Lufthansa. The signage for those who don’t speak German is horrible.

Doesn’t allow easy access/switching between multiple trips. Doesn’t allow easy checkin/seat changes from trips. Bad flight information updates and gate assignments/changes. Doesn’t allow rebooking for delayed/canceled flights. Glitches in producing passes on multiple passenger records. Bad organization of options on home screen making it more cumbersome to do the most common tasks. Web support only during limited east coast business hours M-F

This is such a shame for big air company to have so terrible app and website. You never know when and how ‘something went wrong’. This message you are going to receive constantly even though you make the simplest operation (like booking or editing your profile and btw no matter you put into profile app is going to use old data ). Simply forget about using your miles you always will get an error. Meanwhile Austrian airline’s website is nice and reliable.

Been trying to use this with their watch app for literally years. I only get the tour screen on the watch or it crashes. I can count the number of times it’s worked in the last 2 years on, well one finger. When it worked it was great but that’s almost worse than it now working at all. I’ve tried updating, rebooting both devices, uninstalling an reinstalling with no success. I upgraded Apple watches twice since my first report - nothing changes.

This app seems to work pretty good. Check in and finding everything is really simple and easy to work with which makes it great. Flight notification is lagging but that can be lived with for most people. I’m used to getting almost real time updates. But the layout and ease of use make up for that!

This app and the LH website, other than the good graphic design, are a mess. Not only do you have to constantly sign in, but if you don’t use the app for months, your password is no longer good. The Reset Password process is not functional as you never get the email with link/instructions. If you send a message to customer service, they take days to get back to you. When they finally do, they tell you to call a number that you can find in their website.

Downloaded this app for a flight from LA to Naples and back and it was useless. It couldn’t remember who I was, though I was signed in; couldn’t find my booking though they sent me an email with notice to check in, and of course I couldn’t use this app to manage my trip since it never was able to recall anything about the trip or me. What’s the point of this app? Add that to a truly mediocre Business Class and you will will find yourselves downloading that British Airways app (w/fabulous Business Class) ASAP.

This app is an embarrassment to Germany. For a country that traditionally emphasized accuracy and precision, this app is a disgrace. The only thing worse is the website. This is clunky, slow, error prone and frustrating. Go to United, Orbitz or Expedia instead where these websites are intuitive and customer friendly. Lufthansa is an exercise in futility programmed by juveniles from the 1980’s. Outsource your web and app development to competent individuals that quality control their work rather than presenting this horse manure as an excuse.

Bad notifications

App good for check in and having tickets in wallet, but the flight notifications don’t work properly. App sent me push notifications telling me that my flight was now boarding. I left the lounge, went to the gate and was told there that the flight wouldn’t be boarding for another 30 minutes. There was been any change of flight time at the gate, the app just jumped the gun by a half hour. The gate agents had no explanation why. In retrospect, I should have kept the app closed and just used the Apple wallet. My boarding pass on Apple wallet had the correct boarding time, while the boarding pass in the Lufthansa app listed the flight as boarding “Now” for the full 30 minutes before the gate opened.

I was bringing my small poodle to Rwanda via this airline,I had booked it for September,lucky I wanted to change the flight for July only to be told my dog can’t fly had not checked I would’ve wondered to the airport unaware of these changes. They say it’s due this Coronavirus bs,they made the virus so personal, if the airline can at least give us pet owners some form of notification when pets can fly a gain because I had to arrange a pet foster care until this airline can allow pets to fly please reply thanks

This is the best App. I can track my miles quite easily. And most importantly, I can see the schedules of flight, their time changes, gate changes, and cancellations or delays. Further it can inform me when a flight takes off, and when it lands. It is a great app.

The app displays all my flight information. I receive alerts on gate changes, departure times and delays. I can access all my reservations and flight details. I think this app is great - very well designed and very functional.

Lufthansa is always professional. A warm smile greets you at the door. The families with children are arranged so the childless people can relax and do not have to suffer “mini operas.” Service is on spot and good. I always enjoy my flight with this airline.

Lousy, slow and pretty useless

1. It is way too slow this side of the ocean. 2. App does not link directly from booking to check-in, I had to retype my reservation number for it to find me. 3. After going over multiple screens answering questions and dire warnings about my passport, it bluntly says it cannot check me it at this time. A pretty bad experience overall. LH should look at an app made by ANY of their American peers to see how this is supposed to work.

I booked a flight and it took the money and no booking confirmation came up! Waiting on the phone to talk to somebody to get my flight or money back! I did got the app and chat with a representative and she had to cancel that booking and then I had to go on the website and redo everything! I did get my flight in the end!

Then you get erratic responses („unable to book a flight from your destination“ (which was MUC) - even though there are many non stop flights to my dest). You try again and it miraculously works. Trying to book a flight after spending 20 minutes trying to register an account to log in. I typo’ed my name - forget trying to fix it - you’ll never get through to anyone. When booking, there are errors trying to book BNA to CDG. No reason why, just can’t be done. Then try BOS to CDG - same. BOS to PAR? Same. Different dates? Same. Then just suggest where I could go!!! Or when. Or something?!?!?
