I love iHeartRadio I just wish they gave more for not purchasing for upgrades! All you get is 6 skips for a artist you listen to a lot.
Why I dislike the iHeartRadio app
by Comprademi on 2019/03/19 00:36
I would like it if they made simple to use. Used it a couple of times but was not impressed. The worst part is the little pop up you get to purchase the premium account. It caught me without my readers and I hit it by mistake. Both thumbs down for this app.

Love iHeart I recommend it to all my friends and patients
Alright I like the update
by RackRackatvdashie on 2019/03/18 20:10
Playing the end of the song while starting the next song is a awesome Segway. I love what you guys did keep it up.
Can’t do without!
by BGRED3 on 2019/03/18 18:29
What a great app! We live full time in our motorhome so it makes it so easy to listen to what we want.
It should file for bankruptcy
by OldOV on 2019/03/18 18:04
For those who follow the financial news, you probably know iHeart isn’t doing well. Do it, because this app of yours gets worse every time I use it. For example, today, my Verizon LTE shows 4 bars. Yet, the particular station would not load. The only way it would is via WiFi. So much for mobile. The app, when working, tells me I should try it’s wide variety of podcasts. This seems to be a recent addition. That’s your problem iHeart; trying to be everything for everyone. Here’s hoping my favorite station finds a new home & soon.
Excellent app, handy when you travel.

by GypsyLuv❤️ on 2019/03/18 13:34
The only issue I seem to really have with this app is the ads and only being able to skip a song 6 times in a day. I have tried to do the upgrade numerous times but it never stays that way. It’s actually quite frustrating. Other than that I really like this app
Deceptive
by no more use on 2019/03/18 12:42
Twice now I’ve been tricked into subscribing to this app (trust me it’s slick on their part) Listened occasionally for free but after last error I’ve deleted the app.
Can’t connect
by DizStar on 2019/03/18 12:26
I used to use the app on my iPad. Recently tried using it on my phone but can’t remember my password. I’ve tried the ‘Forgot Password’ option. It says it’s sending me a link to my email to reset but I never get an email. (And yes, I have correctly entered my email). I’ve tried this several times with no success.
It’s what I’m used to.
by @diosadelaluz on 2019/03/18 05:49
I used to be a Pandora fan but I switched some years ago. I like it. My boyfriend tried to get me to switch to Spotify. The only reason I’m still using iHeartRadio is because Spotify doesn’t have all the songs I like. I wish iHeart would offer free Hulu with the premium subscription like Spotify but I guess I can’t have it all lol. The only thing that would give this a 5 star rating would be music videos.
Doesn’t work as well on TV
by Alice248012006 on 2019/03/18 05:48
I’ve always loved this app, however, after getting a new tv and upgrading my membership to all access I will be completely ending my love for this app. When I first set the tv up with iHeartRadio it had difficulties finding my playlist. I wrote to iHeartRadio and they informed me I had 2 accounts with the same email and passwords. Sometimes the music will stop with a message that says it can’t detect or something and I’ve tried everything to make this stop happening and I can’t. I’m going to a new music platform.

by SoUknow on 2019/03/17 23:30
Every song I try to add to a playlist brings up that annoying pop-up forcing me to start a free trial. I’ll go back to pandora and spotify. At least they let you listen to songs in between ads. This app is junk. Deleted.
iHeart this app!

I could not get through the day without my iHeartRadio app! Listen while showering, on vacation, ride to and from work, at work, at home...LOVE IT!

by KidThunder15 on 2019/03/17 18:06
Honestly I like IHeartRadio but I need to cancel my subscription. Keeps giving me a run around and continues to take money out my account. Why can’t they be a simple button for this? Smh.

THIS IS THE WORST APP EVER
by MrS p0tATo HEad on 2019/03/17 16:00
So I was looking at apps for my phone that play music, then I found this one. 4.4 rating! Must be good! Well, I was wrong. I wanted to play Hot 101.5 and what came up was the same ad repeating and repeating. So I thought maybe the Hot 101.5 station was broken, well, guess what? I went on the Shawn Mendes playlist. I pressed play, guess what came on? A singer I have never heard of before! Um? Can you fix your FREAKEN APP?!?!? I can’t even play a song that I want! I HATE this app! Never will I EVER make this mistake of downloading this app AGAIN!
Love love love to worship.

An ad purveyor that happens to have radio
by nicmart on 2019/03/17 13:45
The free version is a menace. It constantly tosses ads at you and actually makes it confusing to find the stations you have saved. Part of the trend toward apps as crap.
Love it

Sneaky marketing practices
by link 3 on 2019/03/17 03:43
I was trying to close my app and while in the process of doing that an add pops up and the next thing I know I’ve purchased the iHeartRadio plus which I had no intention to purchase. Canceling it is bad too. Link3
Love it 😍
by Thesuper(not)girlygamer on 2019/03/17 00:00
This is app is perfect!! I only dislike the part where you only get 6 skips and have to pay for getting unlimited, and you have to pay for choosing your own songs, but other than that, I love it. I have one question though. Can you play this on an airplane? Thanks again.

IHeartRadio awards
by Postaljoe65 on 2019/03/15 23:12
I loved watching the award show and all the super talented artists. It would have been more enjoyable, however, if there were less commercials, more performances and the host’s “speeches “ were more audible. Thank you! ♥️

Every time I open, I hear a commercial....
by Carioca_87 on 2019/03/15 17:33
Even when it drops for bad connection and have to restart it. I immediately hear another commercial before it goes back to the radio station. I know iHeartRadio has suffered financially, but poor business model can’t help.
Glitches
by TerrafirmaJohn on 2019/03/15 15:46
Great idea but this app constantly puts in commercials and recycles are repeats it self. Lately I have heard the same commercials over and over and over and over and over and over and over… Interrupting the program I am listening to. I think you get the idea. Better off just getting the app from the station that you want listen to.
Overlay Ads just torpedo’d this App
by J-Mstr on 2019/03/15 15:31
I had been an enthusiastic user of your App and service, consuming several of your live and recorded content. That is until you started Overlaying Ads on top of your recorded content. I will no longer consume your content as a result and I am sure you will lose many many other previous listeners as well. Great way to lose consumers by being so intrusive with your advertisements... (noHeart Radio)
Seriously?
by Irvinite on 2019/03/15 14:53
I used to love this app. But a few days ago it started playing an ad every time I got bumped off the WiFi and I logged back into the app, it plays the same stupid ad. So if I get out of the app to play a video from a news story, I have to listen to the (again) stupid ad all over again. Looking for another app to listen to the radio now... geez.

Unstable & Ad Bloat
by 4thand10 on 2019/03/15 11:50
Every time you do anything else on your device that pauses the app it crashes. Make a call, a video starts in a webpage, etc. and you have to relaunch. Sadly you don’t go back to your program, you get a podcast commercial or two - or three. Starting to download the individual station apps to avoid this problem

I think I’m done with this app all together. My primary use is to listen to the morning news and traffic reports. I’ve never been interested in any paid subscription. But somehow, I’ve been signed up a couple times now for a subscription. It appears I have to dispute the charges with my credit card company. It’s convenient that they use iTunes to automatically charge your credit card on file. 👎🏻.

Unwanted Notifications
by Tcskifreak on 2019/03/14 18:19
I keep getting notifications even though I have Push Notifications turned off. No matter how many times I remove a station that I don’t like, it keeps showing up again. If I could rate it with no stars, I would.
So Happy with iHeart
by ti!85 on 2019/03/14 16:32
Love this app. I have a very particular music taste local radio does not come to to satisfying it. I can always find what I am in the mood to listen to on iHeart Radio. Life is so much better having the music you like in it.

Need to make it shareable
by Charley's 0421 on 2019/03/13 14:31
I want and I’m sure everyone else wants a app that the whole family can share to stream music if I pay extra why can’t y’all develop something that doesn’t interrupt multiple listeners

by hnp031596 on 2019/03/13 12:30
I used to be able to use other apps while iHeart was playing but with the new update, if I try to move to another app or allow my phone to go black/locked then the music stops. It is very inconvenient for listening
Terrible
by lexi9902 on 2019/03/13 11:30
I feel like I’ve been held hostage. There’s literally 20 minutes of commercials and random music that they want to play instead of letting me listen to the radio station that I’m tuning into. A few commercials are fine, this is excessive. I’ll have to go and buy an old school radio just to be done with this foolishness.

When did iHeartRadio start surprise billing for a free app? Now it won’t stop!
Two big, constant, gripes
by xdaBidx on 2019/03/13 00:40
Problem #1: I listen to some podcasts and local radio shows through this app, which is great. The not so great thing about it is that the all interferes with other media apps on my phone. For example, I’ll listen to a podcast using this app. After the podcast is over, I will start to play music from my phone’s library (iphone 8+). After about five seconds of listening to the music from my phone, the music will stop playing. This is also the case when I go onto youtube after using this app. Whatever it is i’m listening/watching on youtube will stop playing. What I have to end up doing is force-closing the iheartradio app altogether. And not until I force-close this app will my other media apps will stop playing. It’s really annoying Problem #2: If i’m listening to anything in my truck while driving around, it’s coming from my phone via bluetooth. music app, youtube, iheartradio, etc. When i’m driving around and I pull up the iheartradio app, it’s automatically senses that i’m driving and asks me if I want to “drive with Waze”, which I don’t use. And this notification will not go away unless you tap on it to take you to either download the app or open it up if you already have it on your phone. And it will ask me every single time, which is also annoying. Besides those two problems, it’s a good app to use. I’ve used it to listen to my local radio stations while driving to other cities/states.
Sad
by Pciwzxhy on 2019/03/12 22:45
I loved iHeartRadio before this last round of upgrades. Now all my stations are gone and I have to search every time I want to listen. Also all of the auto downloads have taken up all my storage. I used the in app option to delete the old episodes but it still will not allow me to download new episodes due to full storage of old episodes. What a pain. I really loved this app. Why did you have to ruin it?
Great except the double ads
by greenyellowducky on 2019/03/12 21:49
Ok this is getting ridiculous. You do a video ad when I switch stations and then a podcast promo ad. When I take a call during an add it comes back to the beginning of the add. So much so you may hear the same ad 2 times in a row or even 10+times in a day if you like to listen to different channels/podcasts. If I wanted to listen to a podcast I would. I don’t want to hear an add for it over and over for weeks. And finally NOBODY WANTS TO PLAY BEST FIENDS!
The app is broken
by Chieftain07 on 2019/03/12 21:27

Too much ads
by iNavy on 2019/03/12 19:48
I get it's free and you have to have advertising. You cant force a 3m commerical every startup or network drop. Major breaks are 5-7m. Way too long, I just quit when that starts...
I used to love this app
by RedBeardGraphics on 2019/03/12 19:11
I’ve been a paid subscriber for over a year, iPhone user, and I have to say this app has gone downhill. I used to love it. It will randomly stop playing music, and has a mind of its own when it comes to playing music again. Extremely frustrating to deal with when you are driving and want to listen to music. I’ve tried restarting and reinstalling the app, even restarting my phone, to no resolution. I’m cancelling my subscription and trying out something different. Here’s a tip, if it’s not broke, don’t try to fix it.
Pathetic program and commercial mgmt.
by DisappointedFLA on 2019/03/12 17:38
While listening to a station in another state where I am from, you continually cut off individual while they’re making a point with a local commercial that you played just a few minutes before. And many times that commercial is interrupted by another local commercial. I don’t know much about those engineers who run the soundboard’s but maybe they should be replaced.
Great except for latest release
by OllyInFL on 2019/03/12 17:12
Example: I work out at a gym that’s a 5 min walk in my complex. When I change from my wi-fi to LTE I get the iHeart sponsor ad. When I change to gym wi-fi I get the iHeart sponsor ad. Same all way home, except when I unplug my headset it switches off the iHeart audio, and when I press play... guess what. Its infuriating that in 1-hour I’m subjected to 6 iHeart ads plus the same news and weather and traffic every 15-mins on the station on which I listen. I’m ready to watch the live broadcast on YouTube if yr not careful. I suggest that you put a counter in the app which knows I’ve already heard that same ad in the past hour. Please! Otherwise my frustrations will drive me somewhere else.
It’s FREE!

Stops playing when I turn off screen
by michaelnoah401 on 2019/03/12 03:10
So I’ve gone into every setting and deleted and reinstalled this app. Turned my ringer on and volume up. But for some reason it stops playing and then I have to re open the app cause it crashes and doesn’t play. I have to fully turn my phone off and on to make it stop. It happens sometimes but not everytime I use the app
Why only US
by MyMochiJiminie on 2019/03/11 23:50
If I’ve downloaded the app on a US Apple ID I should be allowed to use this app in any other country. I don’t even want to listen to music I want to use it to vote on the iHeartRadio music awards. I am in the UK and yet have set my phone region to the US and downloaded the app in the US so why will it still not let me use the app saying my Zip-Code is not a region that is authorised... yet I created my US Apple ID with that VALID Zip-Code since my family live there. This app makes no sense.
I only use this for lack of options
by CheeseMcTits on 2019/03/11 23:43
I’ve used this app for years and recently, on a daily basis. I’m a fan of a local talk show and I work third shift so I listen to the podcast while I work. But recently there has been a problem where the stream will stop and I’m forced to either close or reopen the app forcing me to watch another add. Almost seems suspicious that it would force me to watch an add every time. It’s unacceptable when it happens 2 or 4 times in a sitting. My app is up to date as well. And when I reopened the app while experiencing this issue. It suggested I listen to the Joe Rogan Experience through iHeart radio which is laughable because I listen to it on iTunes which doesn’t force you to view adds and doesn’t have those “you’ve been selected” adds pop up with just the right amount of timing so you inadvertently click on it and it takes you to the purchase screen.
Needs Improvement
by PimpMick on 2019/03/11 23:31
Every time I switch stations a pop up will ask if I want to delete the station I’m trying to listen to, why? Fix it. Put the delete option under settings. Not on the recently played.
Terrible
by Review5576 on 2019/03/11 22:11
I use this almost every day to listen to a podcast, and I can never make it through a whole podcast without it stopping, reloading, losing my place, and having to close and reopen the app several times. If I could listen to the podcast I like in any other way, I would avoid this app completely.
Repeat radio

If I am attempting to listen to Adele radio, why do I hear niki manaj,? Or Taylor Swift? Niki Minaj or however it’s spelled is nothing close to Adele, other than being female... how in the hell do you justify calling it Adele radio? May as well tell the truth... you play what we don’t want to hear. Perhaps if you played female musicians in the same genres or someone new... anything please other than the same ruined broken songs u play over and over and over. Thanks

What has happened to the IHeartRadio app?? As soon as I minimize the app to play in the background, it stops playing. The only way to play anything is to have the app open on the screen. This is very frustrating!! Please fix it.
Love it

Just love iHeartRadio ❤️❤️❤️
Okay-ish
by DGM1221 on 2019/03/11 09:33
The app mostly works okay. Unfortunately, this is the only platform for a radio show I like. Twice now this app has tricked me into signing up for their plus subscription. It’s a flaw in the app on an iOS device. You go to hit the home button and before you know it, you’ve authenticated the purchase. If it happens again, I will definitely delete the app. Not worth the hassle.
They overplay certain songs
by KingEm99 on 2019/03/11 09:31
There are a few songs that they over play way to much so I guess if you like those songs it’s nice but listening to meant to be by Bebe rexa 5 times a day is not my thing.... but otherwise the app is great.
Love this

I love the radio. Only problem is you only get a limited number of skips. What if there is a song I really don’t like?
It’s a killer
by BranDee2019 on 2019/03/11 02:52
I really enjoy listening to iHeartRadio while at work. Very entertaining and for that I would say 4 stars. However using it kills my battery so I can only listen for a couple hours. This is beyond frustrating and isn’t worth the subscription when it wipes out my phone for more hours than I can even use the app.
Billing
by gofall on 2019/03/11 00:23
I enjoyed the free app. A pop up occurred and I accidentally upgraded the version. I cancelled, yet found that the setting had been changed to auto renew the subscription. I feel I was manipulated and it frustrates me. I prefer apps have some extra steps to upgrade so an accidental selection doesn’t happen.
I use the app while walking
by pokemongagafan on 2019/03/10 22:26
I’m now living in Australia and listen to a classic rock station when I go out for my (almost) daily walks. I love the variety of song that are played!
Hurry hurry buy a subscription. Here’s lots of pop ups.
by drmorgan on 2019/03/10 21:26
BS. Trickery. I will not subsidize this sort of deceit. You think you’re confirming download and you’ve got a monthly subscription. Trash bin. If this happen to you you can cancel but only via Apple Store account.
Beware. Hard to cancel once purchased!
by Carma928 on 2019/03/10 20:39
How do I cancel my subscription? I’ve tried everything. It shouldn’t be this hard.

Was great on Windows Phone, new web app version six
by Nominally Normal on 2017/12/10 18:10
Loved this app on my Windows Phone, installed it when I was forced to switch to iPhone (which has been an inferior user experience in almost every way - it can’t even do autocorrect as well as the WP, but I digress), and it was pretty similar throughout the fall of 2017... logged in today, December, to find everything changed. I can’t figure out how to get to my favorite artist-based station (can find artist in search, but there doesn’t seem to be a station option anymore?) can’t find the Recently Played Songs list once I’m playing a station. It’s fine to change things, but not in such an extreme way that it appears so nonsensical to even fairly on-top-of-things users that they can’t easily find the features that are important to them. I don’t know if it was a web app before, but it must be because I don’t recall downloading an update and everything is just a little off, not polished and smooth like a native app would be. I expected that sort of thing on a minority platform like WP, but it’s really disappointing to have a worse experience on a brand new iPhone. Anyway, this app is in need of some major organizing/UI changes before it can match the user experience of previous versions. If I have to put in hours curating my stations (which looks like the direction this is going), as opposed to having a variety of stations that are good, just need minor tweaks to be great, I’d might as well use Pandora!
iHeartRadio

I would have given it a five star BC I simply love being too listen to my home rock station when I'm working BC I work out of town most of time. But for some crazy reason lately it has started at 100% volume, even just now I got a head start on it and began working it down to about 60 % for it just to jump right back full blast even though I was holding down on volume button. Now I really can't explain how out why it would be turning down and almost to the half mark just for it to jump to the full volume while I'm still holding on the volume but this is not some thing that I can take or tolerate at 615 am nor will my boss's or work mates at this time in the morning and hell it could give some one a heart attack when u go from nor hearing a thing where a needle could be able to be heard hitting the floor. But you could say every one is awake today after this Bluetooth box going off. Please let me know what could and out can be done and if it's anything to do on my part in really sorry for not given the extra star but I had the volume working down for it to start over. Thanks and please have this fixed or fixed for me. Have no complaints about anything else so everyone download this app and listen to your favorite tubes so day and all the time for free.
Please don't force me to listen to Theory of a Deadman
by Crimsonkitty6 on 2018/03/30 19:38
I never write reviews, yet HELLO! Here I am. I have a 30 minute drive home from work to listen to what I want. Today I decided it was a great day for A Day to Remember. I switch on my beloved (not so beloved anymore) iHeartRadio app to listen to ADTR, instead Theory of a Deadman starts playing. Okay, that's fine, that was the last station I listened to. I get it. I search "A Day" and BOOM!! iheart already knows what I want, by automatically pulling up ADTR. I click it and wait. And wait. And wait some more (not patiently might I add) it doesn't do anything but load. I get annoyed enough to exit the app and go back in hoping by doing that it might ACTUALLY help. LOL JOKES ON ME. Theory starts playing again. I search ADTR and click it and again it continues to load. I went back to Theory and it plays a Shinedown song, okay, I'll listen to this. Maybe after a full song plays I can try ADTR again. I go back to the search and find my station, and guess what?? If you said IT LOADS WITHOUT EVER PLAYING A SONG, you would be right. My whole 30 minute car ride was one Shinedown song and a whole lot of loading and annoyance. I'm over you iHeartRadio, more like iBreakHeartsRadio. I'm going back to Pandora, they may have commercials, but at least they don't force me to listen to Theory of a Deadman. It's been real, it's been not so fun, but Thanks for the Memories (subtle Fall Out Boy reference.) 🙄
Good App (Usually...)
by Rosemaryadventure23 on 2018/01/05 02:52
Edit: It seems like all of the other problems I list below are gone now, due to the fact that I can’t get the app to play ANY music now. None of my stations work, they all constantly have a loading symbol, and where the artist’s other songs/info are, it says, “Artist Profile is not available at this time”. The app is completely useless to me at this point because it doesn’t do anything, and this started today only a few hours ago. This can’t be a phone problem because I have the latest iOS on a brand new iPhone 8. I’m hoping this will be fixed soon. I've used this app for a few years, and I've discovered many new artists and songs through this app. However, I've been experiencing a few problems lately. My biggest problem is that sometimes the app will refresh in the middle of a song, and not just pause it, but get rid of the song completely. I'm not sure if I can fix this in my phone settings or if it's an app issue, but this has never happened before. Another issue is that some ads with sound play at the same time as a song, which is obviously annoying. Overall, it is a good app and does what it promises, but with a few bugs.
Subscription is too expensive
by StotkaGirls on 2018/10/06 03:55
Almost but not quite 5🌟, would have kept my monthly subscription but it’s way too costly. For just radio I thought, but considering it’s only $15 or so it’s not that bad. It would be great for a disc jockey (DJ) or a wedding event you can actually set up your own play lists so it can just continue playing continuously. Unless you feel the need to have the DJ interact with you like your in a pub or event to interact with the crowd. I’m sure that if you had issues to where you didn’t have a DJ show up for work then this would work for most small town or small scale clubs that’s holding only 50/75 people or so. I will say that most of the time I am able to find just about anything I want to listen when I had the subscription. And I didn’t have to listen to commercials. It’s really nice cause if you are a big music fan who buys a lot of tracks per month then I would just personally purchase a subscription to the iHeartRadio app. It’s just that cool. But being that I don’t buy that much music and I just couldn’t see spending that kind of money per month.
Deleted My saved stations again
by Piecofwrk on 2018/05/17 08:58
I think this is the third time in around 6 months I open the app and go to “your library” click on a saved station (the only artist station I listen to) and as play begins realize it’s a song I’ve thumbs upped and it’s not again. All the thumbs ups gone, all the thumbs down gone. Glad I don’t have the paid subscription on one hand, and on the other, the ads that pop up and never auto disappear is a real pain as I listen while driving a truck and can’t exactly hit the “x” (conveniently located way to close to the ad itself so you hit the ad) to get rid of them so I can use the the afore mentioned thumb buttons. UPDATE: it’s done it again and I give. Developer response is, as you can read, the typical send us an email. IHeart Media is a mega Corp, they want all their users to help fix their crap app for free and just continue to shove more ads down our throats so they make out like fat cats. The only reason I continue to have this app is because of one morning show I listen too sometimes. If it goes, so goes the app from my iPhone 6s Plus. Developers can respond when the crap is fixed and maybe I’ll check out again. Otherwise, I don’t get anything from iheart media corp, I don’t work for you, leave me and all others alone and concentrate on putting another ad somewhere!
To download or Not to d/l ?
by cbry1188 on 2018/05/23 19:58
I was going to dl the iheartradio Free app & thought I would check out the reviews before doing so. I was quite intrigued by the various array of issues that people pointed out, so I kept reading... first few reviews, I saw the response to the Reviewer’s issues by iheartradio was that they wanted to resolve whatever issues they were having & to please contact (email) them, so they can further address the problem(s). I thought, “Wow, they really do want to make sure that the problem is resolved for that person & seem to be taking that extra step in doing so.” Then I kept reading....I would have to say that each & every review that I read, the response was always the same , “pls contact (email) us, so that we can look into this issue and help you resolve it. “ Then I realized, why wouldn’t they address the issue or at least write down a foot note to the review, addressing the outcome & HOW it was corrected!!! I decided NOT to dl the app at this time bc I’m not if all the issues written about were ADDRESSED & CORRECTED ?? It’s great that you guys address the concerns and ask people to contact you for help -but how about letting the rest of us reading the reviews know how things turned out? Were the issues corrected & MORE IMPORTANTLY, How??
Tricked into automatically enrolling.
by Buckeye chris on 2018/09/15 16:05
I’ll start by saying I love the IHeartRadio app. I’ve been using it for almost 10 years now. It’s great because I travel for work and when in my truck in areas where there’s no local stations I can still have music. Plus I love all the podcasts. For instance I listen to the Alan Cox show that’s airs in Cleveland Ohio. They have all the shows from the past year so even if I miss a day or two I can go back and listen. However yesterday when I opened the app I had a popup window asking me to subscribe to a monthly trial. I tried to close the window and it automatically enrolled me in monthly subscriptions. I’m amazed apps can even get away with this. You basically tricked me into getting the subscription. You took advantage of the in-app purchase and since I have touch ID enabled there’s no way to avoid it. Judging by the reviews and the post on the Apple forums this is happening to a lot of people. I was able to contact Apple and let them know what was going on and have the charges blocked. I shouldn’t have had to go through this process at all. I feel bad for all the people that aren’t going to realize it happened and be billed. If this happens again I will delete this app.
Way too easy to accidentally subscribe
by brappleye3 on 2018/10/15 16:44
I haven't minded the iHeartRadio app and service and it generally works very well and it’s easy to use. However... I was listening to the radio while riding my bike recently, and pulled my phone out to change the station I was listening to, and somehow managed to accidentally subscribe to the “Plus” service while attempting to lock my phone after. Sorry, it shouldn’t be this easy to subscribe to your paid services, or if it is, it needs to be easier to reverse it immediately so I don’t have to live with a subscription/charges I don’t care to have. I didn’t bother to call Apple to have the charge removed since it seemed like a hassle hardly worth $6. I was able to discontinue the subscription in my Apple account so I won’t get recurring charges. It’s just frustrating that I managed to buy something I didn’t intend to. It should require a few steps to get to the purchase, especially for a recurring subscription! If it manages to happen again, you can bet I will stop using this app and find a different way to stream the stations I listen to.
American Top 40 with Casey Kasem!
by wxntrafficfan on 2018/08/14 18:38
Back when I had my car, I was paying $30/month for Sirius XM expressly for the purpose of listening to one Casey Kasem show each week. Someone on Facebook had suggested that I login to iHeartRadio and simply search “Casey Kasem”, and I found a channel that streams just American Top 40 shows from the 70s and 80s 24/7! Being only 25, I was never able to listen to his shows live, and Casey had passed just as I started getting into his shows in 2014. I had previously only kept iHeartRadio on my iPhone and iPad to be able to stream a station out of Grand Rapids, Michigan in November and December each year when they switch to Christmas music. Needless to say, I stream American Top 40 through iHeartRadio at least 1-2 hours a day, and often listen to it for extended periods while at work. Thank you iHeartRadio for making it possible for me to listen to an icon I didn’t get to know until it was too late.
The app slows everything down and even stops internet connection
by Jesuslovesme4ever on 2018/09/18 08:09
I wanted to like IHeart Radio but every time, I download the app (which I have downloaded and re downloaded multiple times), it significantly slows my internet connection or even stops it. It also takes forever to load one song on the app and much can't be done on the app when a song is buffering. I even tried closing apps and deleting one or two apps and the app still slows everything down- a lot or even stops apps and the internet all together. Every time, I download the app, the internet stops working and as soon as I delete the app, everything on my phone works normally and fast again. I like that there is a decent selection to choose from (although it seems like Apple Music and Google Play have more variety in music) and the radio station selection is awesome. This app would be great if only the app didn't slow things down. I really wish this app worked. If only it were fast and didn't halt internet connection. I've never had these problems with any other music streaming app.
Unable to download podcasts for the last week
by 837394Hal on 2019/02/03 23:38
I love the app and I never leave a review on things. I’m reporting an issue. It was a little over a week ago. An update was sent out. Now I’m not able to download any podcasts. I’m forced to stream them only. It just keeps popping up with the message “unable to download” it repeatedly pops up ever couple seconds. I’ve checked to ensure I have given the app proper permissions. Please fix this issue. I get that I can’t download music or other things. Since I’m not a paying sub. As a free user I can only download podcasts. Which is good for me. I’ve always downloaded the Elvis Duran and the morning show. Along with three other Elvis Duran related shows. We really need the issue fixed, because it’s making me go over my data. I just got a text about being close to my 22.5 gig limit. I checked to see what is using my data. IHeartRadio has used 7 gigs in the last week. That’s because it’s fully loading the episode every single time I open up to listen. I will be forced to not use the app if this isn’t fixed. I will find something different. Love you all so please!!
Preffered over Pandora
by Moe The Messenger on 2017/12/23 11:48
I have used this app for about 3 years was pleased with the free version. I’ve seen it updated & pay for it to open up a few more features to find songs, some I can & some I can’t, but I pay the $5.99/month to repeat a single song once & some very limited song searching. I believed this app is good because I can mix genres of music & it’s intuitive enough to know when I need my gospel/Christian playlist vs. the other artists/songs that I’ve like in the past. It also offers suggestions & it doesn’t appear to be so commercialized, I repeat NOT a commercial distribution list of who you are forced to like. Some of my local/Independent artists have songs that I’m able to find. I’m thankful for that. I’m not an iTunes type of person. I hate I lost ALL of my music after switching from an iPhone 4 to iPhone 6s. It made my day to hear my own music that aren’t published on iTunes, so I’m glad to at least be able to search for the ones that I once had on here.
I love the content, but not the updates
by Sammich12 on 2017/12/17 22:34
I first got iHeartRadio on my old ipod on ios6 and I loved it. They had a setting where I could explore music or listen to mostly the same stuff. They did away with that and I miss it. Since then they’ve made the sleep timer harder to access, and everytime I open the app I’m baraged with an ad to try to upgrade to a paid version. I don’ mind seeing that maybe once a week, but I’m using other apps more because I get this annoying self add every time I open the app. It’s also harder to find the most recent radio stations I listen to. It keeps getting harder and harder with the new updates. Lastly, I love the play on start-up feature, but lately it doesn’t work (even when turned on in the settings) probably because of the ad I have to close out of. I’ve dug out my old ipod and I now mostly listen to iHeartRadio from that with whatever version ios6 can handle
Good but could be better
by RyanDred on 2017/11/16 01:15
Honestly, this app is better than pandora. However, my main two issues with it are the dislike feature and the song selections when you choose a specific band or artist. 1. Dislike feature: The problem with it is that if you click the dislike button on a song, that same song will keep coming back later until you’ve disliked it 3-4 times. Then after about a month it’ll come back again 2. Band/artist song selection: My major issues with this feature is that when you choose a band you want to listen to, the app will play almost anything but that band/artist. For example, if you choose fallout boy the app will play a fallout boy song once in every ten songs or so. Therefore what is the point in being able to select an artist. Now I’m not saying I don’t want to hear things outside of the band/artist I have chosen, however, it would be nice to hear the chosen band/artist at least every other song or so.
Subscription
by Funbro1 on 2018/09/19 10:53
I was charged $5.99 for a subscription that I was “tricked” into signing up for. I canceled the subscription within minutes of discovering that I had signed up for it, but ended up being charged anyway. I went to the online help on the iHeartRadio app to verify that my subscription was canceled and there is no unsubscribe button to hit. I then emailed iHeartRadio and received this response. “iHeartRadio Customer Support does not internally handle subscriptions processed through Apple. However, if you need to cancel your subscription, you can do so by following the procedure below:” I folloedthe procedure “below” only to get to a dead end. I sure hope I don’t get charged again, I guess I will have to open up a dispute through my credit card company at this point. In the future I will be very very careful what buttons that I tap. It’s a shame that the app gets updated and changes around so much that it is unfamiliar if you don’t use it every single day. Through the many updates I have also lost my favorite stations and my saved stations, and it gets really frustrating.
iHeart Radio App for iPhone 7
by HnTresS on 2019/03/08 22:52
I have been listening to the music on this app for over a week now and I can't enough of it. They made it easy to navigate with great features. It works for me and I haven't experienced any problems as of yet. I think that this app is awesome and I usually don't write many reviews on things unless it's worth my time. Besides there is an app for everything now a days to sit there and rate them all when you download or use them would take a while, at least in my case. I recommend iHeart Radio for those of you who love music without tons of commercial breaks. Thanks iHeart Radio and keep up the good work. So far you have a really great thing going for you and I hope that it doesn't change to much over time with a bunch of pointless improvements or updates that aren't necessary to the users or listeners.
Used to work better
by OriginalDino on 2017/11/28 19:57
Before the last update, iHeartRadio would resume the last station I was listening to when it connected with my car’s bluetooth. After the previous update, I started having to hit the channel down button on my steering wheel to get it to start playing. Fine, whatever. But since the last update even that no longer works; I have to open the app and manually tap the specific station I want. Every. Single. Time. Also, since the last update, every time I start the station, I get a 30-second video ad. Uh, a VIDEO ad, on iHeart RADIO? Seems a bit self-defeating, especially since many of the video ads have no audio indication of what they are advertising. So I’ve just learned to turn the audio down to zero when first starting, until the word ADVERTISEMENT goes away from my radio display. I tried iHeartAuto once, thinking to would be better suited to what I wanted, but that app was completely hopeless.
Radio is still king
by DisneyLouisiana on 2019/01/23 05:59
I love radio and I mean real radio. IHeartRadio definitely fills my plate with what I love. I traveled for work and found great stations and shows that I continue listening to. It’s great to tune into a station from home when I’m hundreds of miles away and listening to what’s going on in my local area. They also have great streaming stations and the “Mixtape” is awesome. I didn’t give it five stars because after years with stock radios my wife got me a JVC stereo for my truck which had this awesome iHeartRadio feature. After multiple tries of connecting I went to the iHeartRadio support and the feature is no longer supported by iHeartRadio. I know I can just listen to it through usb or Bluetooth but I was looking forward to this feature on my new radio. Now I noticed that they have IHeartRadio “Auto” app. So now I have to have two apps ?? I actually pay for this one and I’m thinking of stopping because it’s a little frustrating.
In A World Where Danger Is Everywhere...
by Pastorlarry on 2018/11/07 19:10
I was a subscriber to a popular satellite radio company who shall remain nameless. 🤔🤷‍♂️😂 Well, I found myself in between jobs and needing to find a way to stay caught up on what was going on in the worlds of sports, current world events, and the like. I had downloaded the iHeart Radio iPhone application a few years ago, but I never used it. Actually, I had forgotten about it due to the metal plate in my head negatively reacting to the use of my microwave when preparing my burritos. (My bowels would release and I would forget who I was for about an hour or so.) Anyway, I decided to utilize the application so as to experiment with and experience the full effects of the frequently promoted pleasure of said application. I must say that I was quite amazed at the vast and diverse selections at my fingertips! I am very thankful for the opportunity to listen to my favourite programs! I give this application 4 stars due to the excellence in which they approach this stubborn, never say die medium known as ”Radio.” Download it now and find out what you are missing! Also, if you too have a metal plate in your head, your reception will increase by at least 80%! iHeart radio and unlimited data...it is like heaven on earth, it is like Ireland without the pipe bombs. It is 🎯💯 GOLD!
Don’t waste your money
by Lilmama88888888 on 2018/02/06 14:59
This app isn’t even worth downloading the free version, definitely don’t throw your money away for the paid version. 30% of the time I can’t get anything to load on here. When I actually can get it to work, it takes about 3 minutes to load. It rarely remembers where I left off on the podcasts. For example, right now, when it started up, after 3 minutes of waiting, it started playing a podcast I had already listened to. I kept trying to go to the Podcast I had already listened to about half of. The circle around the play button would go around and around for about 4 minutes and then it would go back to the previous podcast. After about 8 tried and wasting 20 minutes, it finally played the one I wanted, but started back over at the beginning, I had to spend another 5 minutes figuring out where I left off. There are so many other places to listen to music and podcasts, go elsewhere, unless you like constantly wasting 20 minutes of your day waiting for things to load.
I do love the radio options
by Cherie Fairy on 2018/08/09 06:06
Although there are a few things I feel that could be better. I feel like skipping songs shouldn’t be an exclusive thing only paid membership people can do an unlimited amount of times, cause on the radio station that is titled my name’s favorites, a lot of stuff is mixed in there that I don’t actually listen to. And also, despite giving them the thumbs down, they reappear again. What’s the point of giving that song a thumbs down if it’s just going to show up again? I know I’m nitpicky, but these are things I feel that could make the experience better for the users that can not afford a membership or a subscription. Cause right now I cannot work and I wanna listen to music how I want to...and that’s skipping over stuff I don’t like to get to what I do like.
Better than Pandora
by LolaBre on 2018/11/17 03:49
I tried Pandora years ago before iHeartRadio came out and it would give me a few songs based on what I tried to listen to but it never quite hit the nail on the head so I stopped using it. When iHeartRadio came out, I used it because the radio stations I listened to made you go through IHR to listen online. I assumed it would be the same as the other but gave it a shot and realized for me it was way better. I could put in a song title or artist and IHR gave me a better selection than the competition ever did. I love the variety it added over the years by looking up music by decades, graduation years etc. I haven’t used it to it’s full potential but I’m very satisfied with what I have used it for that I haven’t explored more of what it has to offer yet.
So many new problem
by Clarence kidney420 on 2018/10/06 19:23
Since the last update the app has been going crazy I pay monthly every month and it switches songs in the middle of listening to a song volume goes up and down like crazy and you can never find a number to talk to a person it makes me not want to pay with card monthly fee tried the free one does the same thing I would’ve given five stars but the new update messed it all up. They just keep saying it’s going to be fixed by their developers but they are not fixing it it has been almost 2 months paying $15 a month and they still have not even change thing and the only thing that they said was that they were working on it it’s all bull they don’t care about the people paying money the only way to get in touch with them is by email don’t waste your money they are as stupid as most people are these days horrible customer service maybe if they fix my radio station correctly I will give them a better review to be continued ?
Ghosts Playing With My Phone??
by Tmama711 on 2017/10/28 11:57
I use this app every single day to listen to my local radio station morning show. I’ve never had an issue, always runs really smoothly, except for an occasional “dead air” or skip in the middle of a song. I don’t use it for much more, not even rating songs. Here’s my problem... I turn it off when I’m ready to walk out the door to go to work, and it randomly starts playing again. The app is completely turned off and closed. This happens several times a day. Even while I’m at work. I ended up deleting the app and reinstalled it hoping that would fix the problem. It didn’t. So I deleted it again to ensure that I wouldn’t be humiliated at work again by the random music playing from my purse. I download the app again because like I said, I listen to Elvis every single day but this is getting seriously old and annoying.
Too many repetitive commercials for radi
by Hagarpun on 2018/07/05 12:07
I like the app. I use the app for listening to my favorite radio station, WTKS 104.1. It can be glitchy at times, but I think it may have to do with cellular issues. The reason why I’m giving it 2 stars is because at every commercial break, it plays the same commercials over and over and over. I know the commercials played are a way to generate income for the app but it’s ridiculous how many times these same commercials are played. I personally will not ever buy any product or service from any company advertising on real radio because it’s sickening listening to them over and over. The funny thing is is that a lot of other listeners will complain about the app for this reason, on the air. Now, if I could pay the subscription to get more local commercials, I would pay for it not to hear the same commercials over and over and over. Are you listening iHeart radio?
App Issue
by Fjohn52 on 2019/02/28 14:31
For the third time, the app has gotten me to sign up for the $5.99 monthly version when I didn’t intend to. This didn’t happen ever until a couple of months ago. I pick up the phone to turn in the app and it asks for my thumbprint. Odd, but I do it. Then it says thanks for for subscription. There is no easy way to correct the mistake. It will let you cancel, but the charge isn’t reversed and I am stuck with it for a month. The first time, I spent a long time on the phone and email with Apple and PayPal. I eventually got the money reversed. The second time, I kicked myself for not having recognized it was happening again and I just canceled it and sucked up the $5.99 that I had to pay for a month of service I didn’t ask work. It happened again today and I am super frustrated. There must be something in this version of the app that is causing this because it never happened before. One had to go through a couple of steps to subscribe to the extra cost service.
So many songs I never wanted to hear
by LusitaniaAngel313 on 2017/12/20 09:10
So the only reason why I’m not ranking this 5 stars is my own favorites station. Before I had a pretty finite selection and I was cool with that! Now I’m flooded by songs I don’t really care for and it seems if I thumb them down, they return days later (example being Uptown Funk which I completely despise)! While yes the station will play some of the songs I do care for, once they switch to what they THINK I like, good luck getting my songs to play again. Also it annoys me when the same station flat out quits and won’t play anything! Like it ran out of content! Now I will admit this station has pulled some interesting surprises like pulling Jump by Rihanna to the station which made me happy as can be. I still listen wholeheartedly because where else can I blast CENTURIES into my ears? ;)
Best Radio App
by BUST123 on 2018/07/22 02:11
EDITED: The one issue I had was resolved. I use this app frequently and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you. ... Aside from the following issue, this app is awesome. I love the ability to listen to radio through my phone. Hopefully this gets resolved, my rating would be higher. Nearly every time I open the app, it automatically tries to make an in app purchase and asks for my finger print. This has something to do with the pop up offer that comes up every time I open the app. Instead of allowing me to dismiss the offer, it acts like I clicked on it. I could easily have accidentally subscribed to your paid service if I wasn’t paying close attention. Based on the reviews, this appears to already have happened to several other unsuspecting users. Please find a way to prevent this pop up from showing up every time I open the app. I understand you need a source revenue and have no problem with advertisements. But I’m not interested in making any purchases and would like to enjoy this free app without the risk of accidentally paying for a subscription each time I open it. I will update my review when this is resolved.
This application need some serious accessibility work done on it
by Themusicman08 on 2018/12/10 16:07
I am a voiceover user and I’ve noticed for several updates now that this application seems to be broken. Trying to contact I heart on the website is also out of the question because you have to use a capture to see the visual aspect and if you are blind it’s not possible. The buttons at the bottom of the app on the iPhone are not labeled. You have to have someone tell you what they are so that you can add your own custom labels to these buttons. This is a major problem. Also, why is it that I’m getting notifications about Podcasts that I no longer follow? I’ve unfollowed those podcasts. Yet I’m still getting notifications about them. This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I do not have in app purchases at all. So something is wrong here. Please fix the issues that I have brought forth. I would greatly appreciate it.

I love it. Amy is my favorite. I drive all day starting 430 am to 5 pm doing deliveries. I listen all day, Monday thru Friday. The local host lean a little left, but they always give the other side. They are fair. I listen to RUSH, Tom Sullivan and the Sheriff. And then Kitty takes me home. You have a great staff. Your news is informative and accurate. The CBS affiliate reporter sometimes is not. Your station will correct that immediately. I appreciate this station because they don’t try to sway my opinion. I appreciate all the hosts and like your line up. Of course RUSH is right leaning, Tom is middle of the road and the sheriff puts the topic as it applies to the law. I like that. I don’t care for his “deputy “ fill in host and miss the sheriff when he is gone. Love all of you. Keep up the good work!!
Better Than Radio
by Alphadogtucker on 2018/01/25 18:39
I use this app every day. You can “create” “stations” that play music similar to your choice such as a band or style, although choices off the mainstrsam can be very limited. For example, if you choose Taiko, it won’t be long before Zaideco or Euro muzac is playing. IHR has a great selection of AM and FM radio stations. Great for listening to the news back home or that talk radio program that doesn’t play in your area. The trade-off here is the repetitive, ear-grating PSAs and ads that they play over the stations’ ads. If I could, I would pay the subscription price just to get rid of those awful PSAs. Don’t forget podcasts. IHR has a great collection with many categories. I listen to several about business and career skills. My favorites, though, are Ben Shapiro and Wretched Radio. Shapiro is a sharp political commentator who examines all sides and does not let party loyalty or ideology get in the way. Wretched Radio keeps you aware of movements and deviations from biblical Christianity but without the judgmentalism (except where it’s been earned). There are so many choices, it’s impossible to keep up. And you don’t have problems with interference or fading, as long as you have a good Internet connection.
it's not as grand as it was
by Allanah M. on 2018/04/11 20:30
The principal of it was splendid. The last update that I’ve done completely changed the look. The look is nothing. Nothing compared to how it works which has changed dramatically. I can’t access my saved stations. Saved not meaning my favorites as they were different on purpose. The app now starts off playing the last station and if I want to change the station I have to go through my now limited ability to see stations to do so. Clicking on it doesn’t change it instantly anymore and it takes ages for it to load a list I personally don’t care for and change the station. It’s overly complex for no reason. Having a list is fine after you’ve started my saved station or if it was a new station for me to see what would be on it. I throughly dislike it, and I forgot why I didn’t update it. I will go through iTunes and undo the update.
Generous 3 stars. Only because I love the morning show
by Chasingkeri on 2018/01/05 21:34
Dear iheart executive people, Why on earth would I even consider your premium version if you can't get the free app right? I haven't been able to listen to anything Elvis Duran in months because the pause button just spins and spins and hardly ever starts playing. I try the 15 min morning show, Elvis Duran replay channel, acquired taste podcast, Elvis Duran on demand and nothing works!! Finally today after months of attempts and ultimately giving up after about 20 minutes of silence it worked after 35 min. But I was attempting to listen to acquired taste and instead the ED replay channel started playing! So I tried to switch back to acquired taste and spins and silence again!!! What's up, iheart??!?
Stop the REPETITIVE ads!!!
by Bears99 on 2018/01/10 15:27
An American Red Cross ad played 15 times in a row today. That is ridiculous. This isn’t the first time either. It happens every time I use this app. Also, it seems every few months the ad that repeats over and over changes. A while ago it was about Jimmy and his grandpa talking about light bulbs, then it was about Alison and seat belt safety, now it’s for blood donation. I’ve written about this before and you replied saying “we need to have ads to support us to give you the best musical experience”. Well listening to an ad on an endless loop is hardly a great experience. So now every time I hear the Red Cross ad I know it’s going to repeat so I have to restart the app. Somethings that works, but mostly it restarts the ad repetition all over again. So I just have to sit there and listen to the ad until it stops. It happened today from 10:15 am through 10:25 am EST. I was listening to the Loop. You need to fix your crappy ad algorithms.
Bug needs fixing...
by Kim & Trone on 2019/01/29 14:47
There’s a glitch in the app that needs to be fixed ASAP. When I play an artist station (in this example, it’s Lindsey Stirling) and I tap to replay a song, a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT song begins to play. On a hunch, I went back into the replay menu yesterday and tapped on the song currently playing to see what would happen and lo and behold the song I originally wanted to replay started playing! What’s interesting is that the song that I “skipped by going to replay domes back on exactly two tracks later. The same happens if I let the “wrong” replay song play through—the song I really wanted to replay comes back on two tracks later. It’s really frustrating and I like the vast majority of the songs that play on the artist station I listen to daily, so it feels like I’m skipping stuff I like just to replay a song I want to hear. Even my 9-year-old noticed it! Please fix this.
Used to be the best but now
by wndyeliza on 2018/02/16 05:36
I down loaded iHeart Radio several years ago and was a very loyal listener because l could get any artist l wanted even some of the lesser known ones ( NOT flavor of the year types). I’m punching in favs having a good time. Well, lost my job and hasn’t opened the app now l find all of the things l used to do for free l get the opportunity to pay for. Why do l have to pay for their bad management? Yes, l know they almost went bankrupt, but why are you screwing the fans? We are the ones who come to the festivals paying big bucks, so now l get to subscribe to get my unlimited plays back, what does that hurt you guys that you need money for it? If you’re that close to going BK then re-organize so you don’t hurt the people who came to you in the first place and kisten to your stations on/off the app. You have a good thing, don’t get greedy.
STOP HIDING SAVED STATIONS!
by Hansoloicanthearyou on 2017/12/21 22:20
This new update was the last straw for me. Every update the app gets less and less useful and harder to use. First off the “for you” page is completely worthless. Stop making that the landing page. Second, every single time you update the app it becomes harder and harder to find my saved stations. It is sooooo annoying! I should be able to just hit the app and it starts playing the last station I listened to. Sometimes it will sometimes it seems to have no idea what I listened to last so I have to hunt around the app to find my saved stations. Then once I get used to how to find it you update it again and move the saved stations AGAIN. The landing page should be simple - recently played stations and then your favorite stations on a scrolling list. I shouldn’t have to hunt around the app for 10 minutes trying to find them.
Love for my local station, BUT....
by CoolMomsRock! on 2018/10/10 17:38
Few things I don’t like. I considered paying for this because I use it a lot and was interested in the other paid features. Glad I used the free trial (since canceled). I used “my favorites” that’s supposed to play just what I’ve liked, and it played a mess of songs that not only didn’t I like, I’d most certainly never made the effort to click like in the first place. I prefer the pandora option of being able to create a station based on multiple songs or artists. And lastly, hello... why offer a “lyrics” option if there are never any lyrics available? Nothing worth than an ear worm with lyrics you know you’re not hearing right. So I ‘ll continue to use multiples until one music app gets it 100% right.
Tricked me into paying for a subscription
by MigrantFarmer on 2018/08/03 14:30
About a month ago, a pop-up got me to click on a free trial that I didn’t care for. Clearly, the X to exit the pop-up is too small, and you can unintentionally hit the ad instead of the X. Once the free trial ended, another pop-up came up yesterday when I was trying to turn on iHeartRadio. I thought I dismissed it, but a message kept coming up asking me to enter my iTunes password. Every time I dismissed that iTunes password request, it kept coming back. I assumed it was for an update, so eventually I just gave in and entered the password. I didn’t know it was to make a purchase. There was no other indication that the password would force a subscription. That is shady as hell. This company is pathetic for taking advantage of people like this. It makes sense why they are doing this forced subscription trick, though. These guys have been losing money since 2017. Nobody cares about their trash app.
Charges for the Plus?
by PrilWag80 on 2018/08/17 19:00
*Update, I have received a refund after several calls and chats with Apple Support. I am still not happy that there was not an email sent from IHeart radio telling me my free trial was ending so I wouldn’t have to go through all of this. I have sent them an email stating such. I am very unsatisfied with how I was treated when it came to being charged for the IHeart Plus which I didn’t even notice a difference in my app to know that something was different. I did not get a notice that I was about to be charged for something that I don’t even want and when I contacted support all I got was “well you know better for next time sorry we can’t refund your money even though you canceled on the day it was supposed to renew.” So in the end I paid $5.99 for something that I didn’t want. The least you can do is send an email to people saying Hey you are about to get charged if you don’t cancel so I would have known.
Radio with a heart

I love listening to Q 95 in Indianapolis. I even want to great so the concert tickets to go see Joan Jett and the black hearts Have a great time, fantastic concert. I would love for you 95 and I hurt radio to sponsor my wedding. I was a schoolteacher and was injured by a careless/rumored to be drunk driver. I have been through a great deal of therapy and testing to deal with by Trumatic brain injury. I met a wonderful woman who understands me and cares about me even though I have a serious brain injury. Raising money for the wedding has been extremely challenging, we’re not looking to do anything elaborate. Even a simple wedding is very costly. It’s amazing what a wedding dress cost. I’m hoping that I hurt radio will see this and being a radio with a heart help sponsor the wedding.

I ❤️ed this app before they started making ppl. sign up to use it. I don’t ❤️ it anymore. I don’t use it anymore on my newer iPad and iPhone b/c u started making ppl. sign up to use it. I only use it on my older iPad b/c I can listen to music w/out having to sign up to use it. It’s a little annoying b/c I have to hit a button all the time. And when I put music in there to play, it disappears, so every time I have to search for it again. And also u make ppl. use their email address if there’s any concerns. I absolutely refuse to use this app unless u change it back, so ppl. don’t have to sign up to use it, and so ppl. don’t have to use their email address to talk to someone about concerns. I’d give it 5 stars if ppl. can listen to music w/out having to sign up to use it, use an email address, having to hit a button, having to search for music every time b/c it disappears, but I’m giving it a 1. I’d give it 0 if I could.
What Happened?
by Chjvhjgcgvfvvbcgf on 2017/10/12 10:38
This app used to be great but they removed a lot of good features. A few problems that I have include not being able to make stations from songs anymore, and the app is slow because it loads so many ads. When I try to scroll through the recently played stations, it stops often and loads the "you have been selected for a free month of premium" but I don't want to use it yet. Another problem I have is that I can't seem to find the list of recently played songs where you can like or dislike the songs. Since the app loads ads often I press the skip song multiple times thinking the app is just being slow and I accidentally skip a song that I like and want to press like to add it to my favorites playlist. If you removed the recently played songs feature, please bring it back.
Great music system, it's better than public radio!
by Safety Valve on 2018/03/22 22:20
I highly enjoy listening to this on the PC and my phone, I can listen to music off season... no other normal public radio station (such as the ones you listen to in your car) can do, other than I Heart Radio, just plug in your favorite music genere (mine mains ones are Smooth Jazz, 80's and Sometimes on a blue moon Hoiliday music, when I am feeling "In The Mood") I remember listining to I heart radio as early as 2010 or 2011 in High School (we did not have a system at home that could support sound at the time) I plugged Smooth Jazz in the search tab and my enjoyment with the company grew if you could give I Heart Radio 10 stars I'd Give it 10/10!
What happened?!
by dcastro11057 on 2017/10/28 12:58
This app used to be my go to music listening app while I was at work and in the car. I loved it. But ever since the last few updates this app has really turned horrible. The app will randomly open itself and start playing music WITHOUT me even touching my phone! I was in a meeting a few days ago, phone on the table and on silent, and out of nowhere music starts playing. I quickly grabbed my phone and it was this stupid app playing music. It happens a few times now throughout the day. I have to keep my phone volume on silent and keep checking my phone to see if it’s playing. It’s really annoying. And also when I am actually listening to music it will just randomly stop playing for no reason. I’ll have to open my phone and hit the play button to get it going again. Please fix these issues and turn the app back to the great app it was.
What is the point?
by widwidricsas on 2018/04/23 10:45
Build a station based on your favorite artist they said. Type in the name and hear all the best songs. It is not as though I chose a one-hit wonder. A group with 16 studio albums and numerous concert albums, going back to the 70s, and I have heard TWO songs by the group I actually selected. If I had wanted a general 80s mix, I would have selected an 80s station. Call me ignorant, call me naive, I thought an artist-specific station should, you know, feature that artist. This is why I depend on my old iPod for music, and use this app for one talk radio station. I wanted to hear Styx. If I wanted to hear Boston, Foreigner, and REO Speedwagon, I would have entered their names. TL,DR: your song selection algorithm is bad and you should feel bad. Update: The developer responds and suggests I “upgrade” to a paid service, if I actually want to hear the one artist I want to listen to. How about this instead: One star and uninstalled.

The only issue I seem to really have with this app is the ads and only being able to skip a song 6 times in a day. I have tried to do the upgrade numerous times but it never stays that way. It’s actually quite frustrating. Other than that I really like this app
Deceptive

Every song I try to add to a playlist brings up that annoying pop-up forcing me to start a free trial. I’ll go back to pandora and spotify. At least they let you listen to songs in between ads. This app is junk. Deleted.
iHeart this app!

An ad purveyor that happens to have radio
by nicmart on 2019/03/17 13:45
The free version is a menace. It constantly tosses ads at you and actually makes it confusing to find the stations you have saved. Part of the trend toward apps as crap.

This is app is perfect!! I only dislike the part where you only get 6 skips and have to pay for getting unlimited, and you have to pay for choosing your own songs, but other than that, I love it. I have one question though. Can you play this on an airplane? Thanks again.

IHeartRadio awards

by Carioca_87 on 2019/03/15 17:33

Glitches
by TerrafirmaJohn on 2019/03/15 15:46
Great idea but this app constantly puts in commercials and recycles are repeats it self.
Looking for another app to listen to the radio now... geez.

Terrible
by lexi9902 on 2019/03/13 11:30
I feel like I’ve been held hostage.

Thanks

by SA_JA65 on 2019/03/11 13:14

Okay-ish
by DGM1221 on 2019/03/11 09:33
The app mostly works okay. Not worth the hassle.

by KingEm99 on 2019/03/11 09:31
There are a few songs that they over play way to much so I guess if you like those songs it’s nice but listening to meant to be by Bebe rexa 5 times a day is not my thing.... but otherwise the app is great.

If I have to put in hours curating my stations (which looks like the direction this is going), as opposed to having a variety of stations that are good, just need minor tweaks to be great, I’d might as well use Pandora!

by toddster70 on 2018/02/04 11:50
I would have given it a five star BC I simply love being too listen to my home rock station when I'm working BC I work out of town most of time.

Radio with a heart
by Big Big Big Big A1 John on 2018/07/21 04:46
I love listening to Q 95 in Indianapolis. I’m hoping that I hurt radio will see this and being a radio with a heart help sponsor the wedding.

iHeart Radio
