Some explicit but it is really good overall.
Pop up subscription offer is a problem
by Ijetpilot on 2019/02/20 22:21
The pop up subscription that appears frequently has caused me to inadvertently select approving it when I’m in a hurry to get to my favorite station. They need to fix this BS and refund the money they took two months running. What a pain, so much so that I am close to deleting the app from my phone. I’m looking for alternatives now.
Skip it unless you plan to pay for it.
by Fspilot1971 on 2019/02/20 18:21
If you have no need to pay for this radio service it’s just best to skip it and try another app since the ads are constant and very intrusive.
Undependable
by McCabeisahero on 2019/02/20 17:13
A great resource but often you can’t depend upon it to play a saved station. This is especially bad on the PC, where you are working in daytime. Wish would always respond.
Log in to listen to the radio?
by burger2932 on 2019/02/20 16:00
I have no interest in creating yet another account so I can listen to the radio. I’ll continue using websites to listen live.
Ads galore
by big scrib on 2019/02/20 16:00
I get ads pay for the service but literally the same 6 ads for 20 plus minutes every 3 songs . Sometimes every other song is an ad .
BAD I HATE IT
by lola phillips on 2019/02/20 15:36
IT DIDN'T EVEN LET ME DO THE FRIGING THING
Auto Renew Surprise
by KaptainKaoss on 2019/02/20 14:37
Would be 5 star but when I was charged an auto renew fee without notice of “time to review” I was disappointed. I don’t even mind paying, I think membership fees should include a courtesy renewal message.
No Apple Watch functionality
by wlmscpa on 2019/02/20 13:58
I still have to carry iPhone around - argh!
Shutdowns
by Mikiecameraman on 2019/02/20 13:22
Several times a day the app will shut down by itself. Tried the fix of shutting down my iPhone but to no avail. Makes me want to delete the app.
Not reliable
by Mamirhi on 2019/02/20 13:12
App just quits at random. It often simply won’t play. It also often won’t work with my Bluetooth speaker. Wish it were more dependable.
not working right
by Beverly Aben on 2019/02/20 08:49
stopped playing my station and I can not get hold of anyone to find out what is going on
Stop asking me to pay, please
by 332EMDG on 2019/02/20 06:10
Every time I open this app, now I have to decline the paid subscription. Please make it stop. Cheers.
Great app until changed
by VAP-0415 on 2019/02/19 23:57
This was a great app until it recently changed. Before my phone would be off and the music would continue playing so I didn’t have to be constantly opening my phone. Recently that changed now In order to listen to music I have to be on the app instead of being able to listen to music while working

Great but limited stations
by aittama on 2019/02/19 20:00
Much more reliable than tunein
It’s okay
by PIGEYEJONES on 2019/02/19 18:52
The app works fine for the three stations I use it for, but I hate all the podcast crap and useless recommendations I’m inundated with. I’d pay to have what I want without the crap!
Used to love this app
by Luv2teach0507 on 2019/02/19 17:55
Today I am beyond annoyed with iHeartRadio radio don’t know what they did but this morning I was able to access my playlist now I can’t access any one of them and worse yet I log out to log back in to see if it was a glitch and now some of my playlist have disappeared I am beyond annoyed and about to delete iheart from my phone unless they fix this issue ASAP.
Love iHeart!

Cut off live radio shows
by Kpa123456 on 2019/02/19 16:14
The app constantly cuts off live radio shows to tell me to play Best Fiends. No thanks.
Stop recommending things I don’t want.
by laghkkr on 2019/02/19 16:06
I have said “not for me” 5 times and keeps coming up. I always have to search for the same station, every time I open the app it has recommendations but not the ones I have listened to.
Great App
by ~N.T.~ on 2019/02/19 15:55
This app has everything one needs and it keeps the layout very simple.
Commercials are beyond stupid
by Hol001 on 2019/02/19 15:31
The Repetitive commercials are annoying Stop playing Ryan Seacrest commercials please, sick of hearing his voice
LOVE THIS APP!
by Haleybop98 on 2019/02/19 14:51
I listen to 93Q every morning while I get ready for school so I don’t miss second date update! I highly recommend you getting this app! You can search for any radio station, but they might not have some stations but they have my favorite stations. I LOVE THIS APP! 💚🧡
Good luck cancelling
by JL425 on 2019/02/19 14:30
When I tried to follow the instructions to cancel under settings it doesn’t show the manage button like they have published. I’m still in the process of trying to cancel on day two of trying. Good luck but there are better apps than this for listening to music
Good app but tricked into subscribing
by canderson12345 on 2019/02/19 13:35
I mainly use it to stream talk radio from local stations. Never had any issues with the app. Works great. Have been using the app for a few years now and have been subscribed to their plus service twice without actually wanting to. The last time I cancelled and got my refund. Currently waiting on this refund. If you download this app be careful what you hit. Watch the charges to your Apple ID as well.
11 ads before listening to the channel I select.
by Nate Drennon doe on 2019/02/19 12:38
This app worked great for the first few days, but recently when I open channels, it’s forcing me to listen to 8-11 ads before it finally drops in mid song or conversation. This isn’t worth it. Back to Spotify for me.
Way too many popups
by Mansour71289 on 2019/02/19 11:57
The app is fine however iheart is constantly slamming me with popups to get me to upgrade. Can we have an option to turn this off?
I have to pay for unnecessary stuff when listening to music🤔🤔
by patrick star⭐️ on 2019/02/19 07:14
I’m just saying if you guys wanna listening to music offline and for free you can download the app Musi or SoundCloud just saying THERE IS NO REASON YOU SHOULD PAY FOR ALL THAT STUFF🙅🏽‍♀️🙅🏽‍♀️
Works great!
by ssevngs on 2019/02/19 03:27
Always works as advertised. Allows me to listen to my favorite station KFI AM640 Los Angeles as if I were still in So Cal.
GLITCHING!!
by Mimi11118 on 2019/02/18 22:40
A lot of the podcasts will not play! Before this recent update it sould work now it doesnt! I need my Breakfast Club to work again!
upgrade to plus and features removed?
by Zach az on 2019/02/18 20:28
can no longer thumbs up or down in carplay when clicking the three dots or three line popup menu? All I get is “save song”...Why would features be removed when someone upgrades to a pay subscription? Please add back so I can train my stations!!?? I submitted a support ticket, am hoping they actually address this issue as for me this is a deal-breaker.
Tricked into Subscribing
by rdrdrdake on 2019/02/18 19:41
I accidentally subscribed to a promotion that said I would not be billed until next month. I immediately cancelled my subscription but was still charged. I did not receive a cancellation notice so I have no idea if I will be charged next month. I tried to reach out for a refund and was denied. Very poor customer service and obviously a gimmick to steal money. Also service randomly doesn’t work and consistently plays online ads over top of the radio show I listen to.
It’s ok
by 🐚🦄🐴🦄🐚🐴🦄🐴🐚🐴🐚 on 2019/02/18 17:24
The app alwase glitched and it alwayse resets so I have to look up my music on A DAILY BASIS
Beware
by charlietuna on 2019/02/18 16:55
I activated this app for a 30 day trial and decided I did not want it. I was charged for a one month rate even though I did not renew the app. Had to get Apple support to cancel the the monthly charge. Appears to not be on the honest list!
Shady practices
by Gsxr800 on 2019/02/18 14:02
Numerous times the app pops up a purchase window when you don’t expect it. I’ve accidentally purchased the app with the thumb print not realizing it. Had to call and cancel. Who’s the idiot who thought this is ok to do?
Amount of Ads during live broadcasts....
by mrsgintheplacetobe on 2019/02/18 14:00
I really the app and it’s features, but a few things to improve upon is adding some new songs to stations that play according to the artist. The same songs end up in the rotation. Also, please limit the ads during the live broadcasts! That is the most annoying feature ever! I listen in the mornings and I literally shut the app off an hour in because I’m tired of the ad interruptions in the middle of my listening. It’s ridiculous at this point.

Great App - for on the go
by iDrea on 2019/02/18 04:12
Love this app! I can listen to some of my favorite radio stations any time any where! I recently found out that the app has podcasts as well so now it’s all in once place. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I’d noticed that the app and the actual radio station actually has a 30 sec. - 1 min delay. Some times I use the app before getting in the car and getting out and all I want to do is pick up right where I left off and usually it’s never accurate. Overall, would recommend the app!!
What’s not to 👍🏼

by Mrs Pris Hino on 2019/02/17 18:59
Love that I can hear radio stations from back home when I feel a lil home sick. Love it. The mix of music is amazing.
Love the App. One thing though...
by Dave40k on 2019/02/17 17:29
I use the app everyday and love it! One thing though... Why does the app annoyingly add Weekly Mixtape to my favorites when I NEVER listen to the music it presents? If I only listen to Talk Radio, why is there no Talk Radio on my Weekly Mixtape? Why is there music in my Favorites Radio and not Talk Radio? It’s annoying to have to delete those two items every time I start the app. Please put a fix together that allows you to opt out of Weekly Mixtape and Favorites Radio.
Poor that they charge you for a fee!👞🥺
by Ho-Jo007 on 2019/02/17 16:24
Can believe this it was great 👍 until I woke up to a charge of $5.99 for service charge I thought 💭 I❤️radio was lite/now I’m @ a stand still position 🙈

by Britt090805 on 2019/02/16 23:13

IHeartRadio
by Skidsteer Plower on 2019/02/16 22:26
I love the fact that I can listen to a radio station that I can’t quite pick up on my actual radio because I’m too far away from it, but I find that I can’t stand listening after a while because it’s the same commercials over and over and over.
Wakawaka
by constieka on 2019/02/16 21:59
Great app due to its immense convenience. It selection on certain personal radios maybe a little repetition and sparsely mixed but I’m very fine with most of my radio mixes.
Paying
by IT WORKS RIP XXX on 2019/02/16 19:43
It’s so bad that just to listen to the music we want to some times it cost money this app is bad unless when you don’t have to pay for the song. YouTube is way better you can just search up a song for free.
Me encanta!!

Horrible experience with this
by ET12349015 on 2019/02/16 19:19
This app constantly crashes or it will stop a podcast I’m listening to to start a totally different podcast. It used to run great but recently it hasn’t been worth my time.
Pretty good!
by Hkasghfdytd on 2019/02/16 19:01
App doesn’t great about 85% of the time. Other wise it does crash frequently. Other than that it’s awesome!!
I like it.
by J$cash! on 2019/02/16 18:55
My problem is why should you have to pay to listen to the music offline? When not everyone can afford that. Sometimes with me the radio will cut out.

Deceptive and never updates
by Wyle1220 on 2019/02/15 21:58
Deceptive with the plus pop up. Also never updates live always starts playing previous days shows. Uninstall reinstall rebooted iPhone 8 hundreds of times works sometimes and not others really tired of this app and iHeartRadio pathetic support staff.
Ads
by Kuroyukihime6 on 2019/02/15 21:49
I will have to update. I have told you, I do not want to see any ads or information on Ron’s podcast. Like really, y’all think that is a smart ideal to try to push that garbage down people throats??? App does a lot of buffering which will cause you to miss important parts of live board-cast. The only reason I am still using it is because it is the only way to listen to the Kane show while at work but this app is getting on my nerve to where I might just get rid of it.
Great for out of town listening!

Takes you to memory lane
by Eabela9 on 2019/02/15 18:40
I’ve tried almost all of music apps and IHeartRadio has made it to my #1 in my list. Every songs I remembers in my youth, songs my mom and dad have treasured and cherished and good times such as feel good songs I relate about my old and new friendships iHeartRadio have opened my mind to happy memory lane and enjoyed listening to the songs I have searched through millions of selections what iHeartRadio has to offer. Also very affordable compared to many. Bottom line, I’m an iHeartRadio fan forever!!! Thank you and cheers!🤗🤗👋👋🎈🎈😍

Stop prompting to pay for upgrade
by beeradmorgan on 2019/02/15 18:21
Second time now I open the app, click on the only station I listen to, and when attempting to quickly switch apps, it just accepts my finger print on the home button immediately to verify a purchase. If there was a way to turn off purchases for this app specifically, I would.

iOS 12.1.4, iPhone 6 Plus Pros: * Better interface than my favorite station’s proprietary app, which is the only reason I switched. Cons: * When first loading that station, I now get stuck in some sort of ad limbo. The same ads and promotional spots from the station keep looping, and the live stream never starts. Switching stations and then back sometimes helps. * iHeart makes you log in where other apps (Radio.com, NextRadio) don’t. * Ads pop up in places and with timings where you’ll accidentally click on them. Usually this is the main “popover” ad that takes up most of the screen. This includes ads for purchases, which make you have to cancel out of the iTunes purchase popup. Very annoying. * Not sure if this is iOS or the app, but Control Center loses context after a minute or so and I can’t control iHeart from it after locking the screen. iHeart needs to stop trying to control everything and just let us listen to content.
Was great on Windows Phone, new web app version six
by Nominally Normal on 2017/12/10 18:10
Loved this app on my Windows Phone, installed it when I was forced to switch to iPhone (which has been an inferior user experience in almost every way - it can’t even do autocorrect as well as the WP, but I digress), and it was pretty similar throughout the fall of 2017... logged in today, December, to find everything changed. I can’t figure out how to get to my favorite artist-based station (can find artist in search, but there doesn’t seem to be a station option anymore?) can’t find the Recently Played Songs list once I’m playing a station. It’s fine to change things, but not in such an extreme way that it appears so nonsensical to even fairly on-top-of-things users that they can’t easily find the features that are important to them. I don’t know if it was a web app before, but it must be because I don’t recall downloading an update and everything is just a little off, not polished and smooth like a native app would be. I expected that sort of thing on a minority platform like WP, but it’s really disappointing to have a worse experience on a brand new iPhone. Anyway, this app is in need of some major organizing/UI changes before it can match the user experience of previous versions. If I have to put in hours curating my stations (which looks like the direction this is going), as opposed to having a variety of stations that are good, just need minor tweaks to be great, I’d might as well use Pandora!

I would have given it a five star BC I simply love being too listen to my home rock station when I'm working BC I work out of town most of time. But for some crazy reason lately it has started at 100% volume, even just now I got a head start on it and began working it down to about 60 % for it just to jump right back full blast even though I was holding down on volume button. Now I really can't explain how out why it would be turning down and almost to the half mark just for it to jump to the full volume while I'm still holding on the volume but this is not some thing that I can take or tolerate at 615 am nor will my boss's or work mates at this time in the morning and hell it could give some one a heart attack when u go from nor hearing a thing where a needle could be able to be heard hitting the floor. But you could say every one is awake today after this Bluetooth box going off. Please let me know what could and out can be done and if it's anything to do on my part in really sorry for not given the extra star but I had the volume working down for it to start over. Thanks and please have this fixed or fixed for me. Have no complaints about anything else so everyone download this app and listen to your favorite tubes so day and all the time for free.
Please don't force me to listen to Theory of a Deadman
by Crimsonkitty6 on 2018/03/30 19:38
I never write reviews, yet HELLO! Here I am. I have a 30 minute drive home from work to listen to what I want. Today I decided it was a great day for A Day to Remember. I switch on my beloved (not so beloved anymore) iHeartRadio app to listen to ADTR, instead Theory of a Deadman starts playing. Okay, that's fine, that was the last station I listened to. I get it. I search "A Day" and BOOM!! iheart already knows what I want, by automatically pulling up ADTR. I click it and wait. And wait. And wait some more (not patiently might I add) it doesn't do anything but load. I get annoyed enough to exit the app and go back in hoping by doing that it might ACTUALLY help. LOL JOKES ON ME. Theory starts playing again. I search ADTR and click it and again it continues to load. I went back to Theory and it plays a Shinedown song, okay, I'll listen to this. Maybe after a full song plays I can try ADTR again. I go back to the search and find my station, and guess what?? If you said IT LOADS WITHOUT EVER PLAYING A SONG, you would be right. My whole 30 minute car ride was one Shinedown song and a whole lot of loading and annoyance. I'm over you iHeartRadio, more like iBreakHeartsRadio. I'm going back to Pandora, they may have commercials, but at least they don't force me to listen to Theory of a Deadman. It's been real, it's been not so fun, but Thanks for the Memories (subtle Fall Out Boy reference.) 🙄
Good App (Usually...)
by Rosemaryadventure23 on 2018/01/05 02:52
Edit: It seems like all of the other problems I list below are gone now, due to the fact that I can’t get the app to play ANY music now. None of my stations work, they all constantly have a loading symbol, and where the artist’s other songs/info are, it says, “Artist Profile is not available at this time”. The app is completely useless to me at this point because it doesn’t do anything, and this started today only a few hours ago. This can’t be a phone problem because I have the latest iOS on a brand new iPhone 8. I’m hoping this will be fixed soon. I've used this app for a few years, and I've discovered many new artists and songs through this app. However, I've been experiencing a few problems lately. My biggest problem is that sometimes the app will refresh in the middle of a song, and not just pause it, but get rid of the song completely. I'm not sure if I can fix this in my phone settings or if it's an app issue, but this has never happened before. Another issue is that some ads with sound play at the same time as a song, which is obviously annoying. Overall, it is a good app and does what it promises, but with a few bugs.
Subscription is too expensive
by StotkaGirls on 2018/10/06 03:55
Almost but not quite 5🌟, would have kept my monthly subscription but it’s way too costly. For just radio I thought, but considering it’s only $15 or so it’s not that bad. It would be great for a disc jockey (DJ) or a wedding event you can actually set up your own play lists so it can just continue playing continuously. Unless you feel the need to have the DJ interact with you like your in a pub or event to interact with the crowd. I’m sure that if you had issues to where you didn’t have a DJ show up for work then this would work for most small town or small scale clubs that’s holding only 50/75 people or so. I will say that most of the time I am able to find just about anything I want to listen when I had the subscription. And I didn’t have to listen to commercials. It’s really nice cause if you are a big music fan who buys a lot of tracks per month then I would just personally purchase a subscription to the iHeartRadio app. It’s just that cool. But being that I don’t buy that much music and I just couldn’t see spending that kind of money per month.
Deleted My saved stations again
by Piecofwrk on 2018/05/17 08:58
I think this is the third time in around 6 months I open the app and go to “your library” click on a saved station (the only artist station I listen to) and as play begins realize it’s a song I’ve thumbs upped and it’s not again. All the thumbs ups gone, all the thumbs down gone. Glad I don’t have the paid subscription on one hand, and on the other, the ads that pop up and never auto disappear is a real pain as I listen while driving a truck and can’t exactly hit the “x” (conveniently located way to close to the ad itself so you hit the ad) to get rid of them so I can use the the afore mentioned thumb buttons. UPDATE: it’s done it again and I give. Developer response is, as you can read, the typical send us an email. IHeart Media is a mega Corp, they want all their users to help fix their crap app for free and just continue to shove more ads down our throats so they make out like fat cats. The only reason I continue to have this app is because of one morning show I listen too sometimes. If it goes, so goes the app from my iPhone 6s Plus. Developers can respond when the crap is fixed and maybe I’ll check out again. Otherwise, I don’t get anything from iheart media corp, I don’t work for you, leave me and all others alone and concentrate on putting another ad somewhere!
To download or Not to d/l ?
by cbry1188 on 2018/05/23 19:58
I was going to dl the iheartradio Free app & thought I would check out the reviews before doing so. I was quite intrigued by the various array of issues that people pointed out, so I kept reading... first few reviews, I saw the response to the Reviewer’s issues by iheartradio was that they wanted to resolve whatever issues they were having & to please contact (email) them, so they can further address the problem(s). I thought, “Wow, they really do want to make sure that the problem is resolved for that person & seem to be taking that extra step in doing so.” Then I kept reading....I would have to say that each & every review that I read, the response was always the same , “pls contact (email) us, so that we can look into this issue and help you resolve it. “ Then I realized, why wouldn’t they address the issue or at least write down a foot note to the review, addressing the outcome & HOW it was corrected!!! I decided NOT to dl the app at this time bc I’m not if all the issues written about were ADDRESSED & CORRECTED ?? It’s great that you guys address the concerns and ask people to contact you for help -but how about letting the rest of us reading the reviews know how things turned out? Were the issues corrected & MORE IMPORTANTLY, How??
Tricked into automatically enrolling.
by Buckeye chris on 2018/09/15 16:05
I’ll start by saying I love the IHeartRadio app. I’ve been using it for almost 10 years now. It’s great because I travel for work and when in my truck in areas where there’s no local stations I can still have music. Plus I love all the podcasts. For instance I listen to the Alan Cox show that’s airs in Cleveland Ohio. They have all the shows from the past year so even if I miss a day or two I can go back and listen. However yesterday when I opened the app I had a popup window asking me to subscribe to a monthly trial. I tried to close the window and it automatically enrolled me in monthly subscriptions. I’m amazed apps can even get away with this. You basically tricked me into getting the subscription. You took advantage of the in-app purchase and since I have touch ID enabled there’s no way to avoid it. Judging by the reviews and the post on the Apple forums this is happening to a lot of people. I was able to contact Apple and let them know what was going on and have the charges blocked. I shouldn’t have had to go through this process at all. I feel bad for all the people that aren’t going to realize it happened and be billed. If this happens again I will delete this app.
Way too easy to accidentally subscribe
by brappleye3 on 2018/10/15 16:44
I haven't minded the iHeartRadio app and service and it generally works very well and it’s easy to use. However... I was listening to the radio while riding my bike recently, and pulled my phone out to change the station I was listening to, and somehow managed to accidentally subscribe to the “Plus” service while attempting to lock my phone after. Sorry, it shouldn’t be this easy to subscribe to your paid services, or if it is, it needs to be easier to reverse it immediately so I don’t have to live with a subscription/charges I don’t care to have. I didn’t bother to call Apple to have the charge removed since it seemed like a hassle hardly worth $6. I was able to discontinue the subscription in my Apple account so I won’t get recurring charges. It’s just frustrating that I managed to buy something I didn’t intend to. It should require a few steps to get to the purchase, especially for a recurring subscription! If it manages to happen again, you can bet I will stop using this app and find a different way to stream the stations I listen to.
American Top 40 with Casey Kasem!
by wxntrafficfan on 2018/08/14 18:38
Back when I had my car, I was paying $30/month for Sirius XM expressly for the purpose of listening to one Casey Kasem show each week. Someone on Facebook had suggested that I login to iHeartRadio and simply search “Casey Kasem”, and I found a channel that streams just American Top 40 shows from the 70s and 80s 24/7! Being only 25, I was never able to listen to his shows live, and Casey had passed just as I started getting into his shows in 2014. I had previously only kept iHeartRadio on my iPhone and iPad to be able to stream a station out of Grand Rapids, Michigan in November and December each year when they switch to Christmas music. Needless to say, I stream American Top 40 through iHeartRadio at least 1-2 hours a day, and often listen to it for extended periods while at work. Thank you iHeartRadio for making it possible for me to listen to an icon I didn’t get to know until it was too late.
The app slows everything down and even stops internet connection
by Jesuslovesme4ever on 2018/09/18 08:09
I wanted to like IHeart Radio but every time, I download the app (which I have downloaded and re downloaded multiple times), it significantly slows my internet connection or even stops it. It also takes forever to load one song on the app and much can't be done on the app when a song is buffering. I even tried closing apps and deleting one or two apps and the app still slows everything down- a lot or even stops apps and the internet all together. Every time, I download the app, the internet stops working and as soon as I delete the app, everything on my phone works normally and fast again. I like that there is a decent selection to choose from (although it seems like Apple Music and Google Play have more variety in music) and the radio station selection is awesome. This app would be great if only the app didn't slow things down. I really wish this app worked. If only it were fast and didn't halt internet connection. I've never had these problems with any other music streaming app.
Unable to download podcasts for the last week
by 837394Hal on 2019/02/03 23:38
I love the app and I never leave a review on things. I’m reporting an issue. It was a little over a week ago. An update was sent out. Now I’m not able to download any podcasts. I’m forced to stream them only. It just keeps popping up with the message “unable to download” it repeatedly pops up ever couple seconds. I’ve checked to ensure I have given the app proper permissions. Please fix this issue. I get that I can’t download music or other things. Since I’m not a paying sub. As a free user I can only download podcasts. Which is good for me. I’ve always downloaded the Elvis Duran and the morning show. Along with three other Elvis Duran related shows. We really need the issue fixed, because it’s making me go over my data. I just got a text about being close to my 22.5 gig limit. I checked to see what is using my data. IHeartRadio has used 7 gigs in the last week. That’s because it’s fully loading the episode every single time I open up to listen. I will be forced to not use the app if this isn’t fixed. I will find something different. Love you all so please!!
Preffered over Pandora
by Moe The Messenger on 2017/12/23 11:48
I have used this app for about 3 years was pleased with the free version. I’ve seen it updated & pay for it to open up a few more features to find songs, some I can & some I can’t, but I pay the $5.99/month to repeat a single song once & some very limited song searching. I believed this app is good because I can mix genres of music & it’s intuitive enough to know when I need my gospel/Christian playlist vs. the other artists/songs that I’ve like in the past. It also offers suggestions & it doesn’t appear to be so commercialized, I repeat NOT a commercial distribution list of who you are forced to like. Some of my local/Independent artists have songs that I’m able to find. I’m thankful for that. I’m not an iTunes type of person. I hate I lost ALL of my music after switching from an iPhone 4 to iPhone 6s. It made my day to hear my own music that aren’t published on iTunes, so I’m glad to at least be able to search for the ones that I once had on here.
I love the content, but not the updates
by Sammich12 on 2017/12/17 22:34
I first got iHeartRadio on my old ipod on ios6 and I loved it. They had a setting where I could explore music or listen to mostly the same stuff. They did away with that and I miss it. Since then they’ve made the sleep timer harder to access, and everytime I open the app I’m baraged with an ad to try to upgrade to a paid version. I don’ mind seeing that maybe once a week, but I’m using other apps more because I get this annoying self add every time I open the app. It’s also harder to find the most recent radio stations I listen to. It keeps getting harder and harder with the new updates. Lastly, I love the play on start-up feature, but lately it doesn’t work (even when turned on in the settings) probably because of the ad I have to close out of. I’ve dug out my old ipod and I now mostly listen to iHeartRadio from that with whatever version ios6 can handle
Good but could be better
by RyanDred on 2017/11/16 01:15
Honestly, this app is better than pandora. However, my main two issues with it are the dislike feature and the song selections when you choose a specific band or artist. 1. Dislike feature: The problem with it is that if you click the dislike button on a song, that same song will keep coming back later until you’ve disliked it 3-4 times. Then after about a month it’ll come back again 2. Band/artist song selection: My major issues with this feature is that when you choose a band you want to listen to, the app will play almost anything but that band/artist. For example, if you choose fallout boy the app will play a fallout boy song once in every ten songs or so. Therefore what is the point in being able to select an artist. Now I’m not saying I don’t want to hear things outside of the band/artist I have chosen, however, it would be nice to hear the chosen band/artist at least every other song or so.
Subscription
by Funbro1 on 2018/09/19 10:53
I was charged $5.99 for a subscription that I was “tricked” into signing up for. I canceled the subscription within minutes of discovering that I had signed up for it, but ended up being charged anyway. I went to the online help on the iHeartRadio app to verify that my subscription was canceled and there is no unsubscribe button to hit. I then emailed iHeartRadio and received this response. “iHeartRadio Customer Support does not internally handle subscriptions processed through Apple. However, if you need to cancel your subscription, you can do so by following the procedure below:” I folloedthe procedure “below” only to get to a dead end. I sure hope I don’t get charged again, I guess I will have to open up a dispute through my credit card company at this point. In the future I will be very very careful what buttons that I tap. It’s a shame that the app gets updated and changes around so much that it is unfamiliar if you don’t use it every single day. Through the many updates I have also lost my favorite stations and my saved stations, and it gets really frustrating.
Used to work better
by OriginalDino on 2017/11/28 19:57
Before the last update, iHeartRadio would resume the last station I was listening to when it connected with my car’s bluetooth. After the previous update, I started having to hit the channel down button on my steering wheel to get it to start playing. Fine, whatever. But since the last update even that no longer works; I have to open the app and manually tap the specific station I want. Every. Single. Time. Also, since the last update, every time I start the station, I get a 30-second video ad. Uh, a VIDEO ad, on iHeart RADIO? Seems a bit self-defeating, especially since many of the video ads have no audio indication of what they are advertising. So I’ve just learned to turn the audio down to zero when first starting, until the word ADVERTISEMENT goes away from my radio display. I tried iHeartAuto once, thinking to would be better suited to what I wanted, but that app was completely hopeless.
Radio is still king
by DisneyLouisiana on 2019/01/23 05:59
I love radio and I mean real radio. IHeartRadio definitely fills my plate with what I love. I traveled for work and found great stations and shows that I continue listening to. It’s great to tune into a station from home when I’m hundreds of miles away and listening to what’s going on in my local area. They also have great streaming stations and the “Mixtape” is awesome. I didn’t give it five stars because after years with stock radios my wife got me a JVC stereo for my truck which had this awesome iHeartRadio feature. After multiple tries of connecting I went to the iHeartRadio support and the feature is no longer supported by iHeartRadio. I know I can just listen to it through usb or Bluetooth but I was looking forward to this feature on my new radio. Now I noticed that they have IHeartRadio “Auto” app. So now I have to have two apps ?? I actually pay for this one and I’m thinking of stopping because it’s a little frustrating.
In A World Where Danger Is Everywhere...
by Pastorlarry on 2018/11/07 19:10
I was a subscriber to a popular satellite radio company who shall remain nameless. 🤔🤷‍♂️😂 Well, I found myself in between jobs and needing to find a way to stay caught up on what was going on in the worlds of sports, current world events, and the like. I had downloaded the iHeart Radio iPhone application a few years ago, but I never used it. Actually, I had forgotten about it due to the metal plate in my head negatively reacting to the use of my microwave when preparing my burritos. (My bowels would release and I would forget who I was for about an hour or so.) Anyway, I decided to utilize the application so as to experiment with and experience the full effects of the frequently promoted pleasure of said application. I must say that I was quite amazed at the vast and diverse selections at my fingertips! I am very thankful for the opportunity to listen to my favourite programs! I give this application 4 stars due to the excellence in which they approach this stubborn, never say die medium known as ”Radio.” Download it now and find out what you are missing! Also, if you too have a metal plate in your head, your reception will increase by at least 80%! iHeart radio and unlimited data...it is like heaven on earth, it is like Ireland without the pipe bombs. It is 🎯💯 GOLD!
Don’t waste your money
by Lilmama88888888 on 2018/02/06 14:59
This app isn’t even worth downloading the free version, definitely don’t throw your money away for the paid version. 30% of the time I can’t get anything to load on here. When I actually can get it to work, it takes about 3 minutes to load. It rarely remembers where I left off on the podcasts. For example, right now, when it started up, after 3 minutes of waiting, it started playing a podcast I had already listened to. I kept trying to go to the Podcast I had already listened to about half of. The circle around the play button would go around and around for about 4 minutes and then it would go back to the previous podcast. After about 8 tried and wasting 20 minutes, it finally played the one I wanted, but started back over at the beginning, I had to spend another 5 minutes figuring out where I left off. There are so many other places to listen to music and podcasts, go elsewhere, unless you like constantly wasting 20 minutes of your day waiting for things to load.
I do love the radio options
by Cherie Fairy on 2018/08/09 06:06
Although there are a few things I feel that could be better. I feel like skipping songs shouldn’t be an exclusive thing only paid membership people can do an unlimited amount of times, cause on the radio station that is titled my name’s favorites, a lot of stuff is mixed in there that I don’t actually listen to. And also, despite giving them the thumbs down, they reappear again. What’s the point of giving that song a thumbs down if it’s just going to show up again? I know I’m nitpicky, but these are things I feel that could make the experience better for the users that can not afford a membership or a subscription. Cause right now I cannot work and I wanna listen to music how I want to...and that’s skipping over stuff I don’t like to get to what I do like.
Better than Pandora
by LolaBre on 2018/11/17 03:49
I tried Pandora years ago before iHeartRadio came out and it would give me a few songs based on what I tried to listen to but it never quite hit the nail on the head so I stopped using it. When iHeartRadio came out, I used it because the radio stations I listened to made you go through IHR to listen online. I assumed it would be the same as the other but gave it a shot and realized for me it was way better. I could put in a song title or artist and IHR gave me a better selection than the competition ever did. I love the variety it added over the years by looking up music by decades, graduation years etc. I haven’t used it to it’s full potential but I’m very satisfied with what I have used it for that I haven’t explored more of what it has to offer yet.
So many new problem
by Clarence kidney420 on 2018/10/06 19:23
Since the last update the app has been going crazy I pay monthly every month and it switches songs in the middle of listening to a song volume goes up and down like crazy and you can never find a number to talk to a person it makes me not want to pay with card monthly fee tried the free one does the same thing I would’ve given five stars but the new update messed it all up. They just keep saying it’s going to be fixed by their developers but they are not fixing it it has been almost 2 months paying $15 a month and they still have not even change thing and the only thing that they said was that they were working on it it’s all bull they don’t care about the people paying money the only way to get in touch with them is by email don’t waste your money they are as stupid as most people are these days horrible customer service maybe if they fix my radio station correctly I will give them a better review to be continued ?
App Issue
by Fjohn52 on 2018/12/05 04:29
For the third time, the app has gotten me to sign up for the $5.99 monthly version when I didn’t intend to. This didn’t happen ever until a couple of months ago. I pick up the phone to turn in the app and it asks for my thumbprint. Odd, but I do it. Then it says thanks for for subscription. There is no easy way to correct the mistake. It will let you cancel, but the charge isn’t reversed and I am stuck with it for a month. The first time, I spent a long time on the phone and email with Apple and PayPal. I eventually got the money reversed. The second time, I kicked myself for not having recognized it was happening again and I just canceled it and sucked up the $5.99 that I had to pay for a month of service I didn’t ask work. It happened again today and I am super frustrated. There must be something in this version of the app that is causing this because it never happened before. One had to go through a couple of steps to subscribe to the extra cost service.
Ghosts Playing With My Phone??
by Tmama711 on 2017/10/28 11:57
I use this app every single day to listen to my local radio station morning show. I’ve never had an issue, always runs really smoothly, except for an occasional “dead air” or skip in the middle of a song. I don’t use it for much more, not even rating songs. Here’s my problem... I turn it off when I’m ready to walk out the door to go to work, and it randomly starts playing again. The app is completely turned off and closed. This happens several times a day. Even while I’m at work. I ended up deleting the app and reinstalled it hoping that would fix the problem. It didn’t. So I deleted it again to ensure that I wouldn’t be humiliated at work again by the random music playing from my purse. I download the app again because like I said, I listen to Elvis every single day but this is getting seriously old and annoying.
Too many repetitive commercials for radi
by Hagarpun on 2018/07/05 12:07
I like the app. I use the app for listening to my favorite radio station, WTKS 104.1. It can be glitchy at times, but I think it may have to do with cellular issues. The reason why I’m giving it 2 stars is because at every commercial break, it plays the same commercials over and over and over. I know the commercials played are a way to generate income for the app but it’s ridiculous how many times these same commercials are played. I personally will not ever buy any product or service from any company advertising on real radio because it’s sickening listening to them over and over. The funny thing is is that a lot of other listeners will complain about the app for this reason, on the air. Now, if I could pay the subscription to get more local commercials, I would pay for it not to hear the same commercials over and over and over. Are you listening iHeart radio?
So many songs I never wanted to hear
by LusitaniaAngel313 on 2017/12/20 09:10
So the only reason why I’m not ranking this 5 stars is my own favorites station. Before I had a pretty finite selection and I was cool with that! Now I’m flooded by songs I don’t really care for and it seems if I thumb them down, they return days later (example being Uptown Funk which I completely despise)! While yes the station will play some of the songs I do care for, once they switch to what they THINK I like, good luck getting my songs to play again. Also it annoys me when the same station flat out quits and won’t play anything! Like it ran out of content! Now I will admit this station has pulled some interesting surprises like pulling Jump by Rihanna to the station which made me happy as can be. I still listen wholeheartedly because where else can I blast CENTURIES into my ears? ;)
Best Radio App
by BUST123 on 2018/07/22 02:11
EDITED: The one issue I had was resolved. I use this app frequently and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you. ... Aside from the following issue, this app is awesome. I love the ability to listen to radio through my phone. Hopefully this gets resolved, my rating would be higher. Nearly every time I open the app, it automatically tries to make an in app purchase and asks for my finger print. This has something to do with the pop up offer that comes up every time I open the app. Instead of allowing me to dismiss the offer, it acts like I clicked on it. I could easily have accidentally subscribed to your paid service if I wasn’t paying close attention. Based on the reviews, this appears to already have happened to several other unsuspecting users. Please find a way to prevent this pop up from showing up every time I open the app. I understand you need a source revenue and have no problem with advertisements. But I’m not interested in making any purchases and would like to enjoy this free app without the risk of accidentally paying for a subscription each time I open it. I will update my review when this is resolved.
This application need some serious accessibility work done on it
by Themusicman08 on 2018/12/10 16:07
I am a voiceover user and I’ve noticed for several updates now that this application seems to be broken. Trying to contact I heart on the website is also out of the question because you have to use a capture to see the visual aspect and if you are blind it’s not possible. The buttons at the bottom of the app on the iPhone are not labeled. You have to have someone tell you what they are so that you can add your own custom labels to these buttons. This is a major problem. Also, why is it that I’m getting notifications about Podcasts that I no longer follow? I’ve unfollowed those podcasts. Yet I’m still getting notifications about them. This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I do not have in app purchases at all. So something is wrong here. Please fix the issues that I have brought forth. I would greatly appreciate it.

I love it. Amy is my favorite. I drive all day starting 430 am to 5 pm doing deliveries. I listen all day, Monday thru Friday. The local host lean a little left, but they always give the other side. They are fair. I listen to RUSH, Tom Sullivan and the Sheriff. And then Kitty takes me home. You have a great staff. Your news is informative and accurate. The CBS affiliate reporter sometimes is not. Your station will correct that immediately. I appreciate this station because they don’t try to sway my opinion. I appreciate all the hosts and like your line up. Of course RUSH is right leaning, Tom is middle of the road and the sheriff puts the topic as it applies to the law. I like that. I don’t care for his “deputy “ fill in host and miss the sheriff when he is gone. Love all of you. Keep up the good work!!
Better Than Radio
by Alphadogtucker on 2018/01/25 18:39
I use this app every day. You can “create” “stations” that play music similar to your choice such as a band or style, although choices off the mainstrsam can be very limited. For example, if you choose Taiko, it won’t be long before Zaideco or Euro muzac is playing. IHR has a great selection of AM and FM radio stations. Great for listening to the news back home or that talk radio program that doesn’t play in your area. The trade-off here is the repetitive, ear-grating PSAs and ads that they play over the stations’ ads. If I could, I would pay the subscription price just to get rid of those awful PSAs. Don’t forget podcasts. IHR has a great collection with many categories. I listen to several about business and career skills. My favorites, though, are Ben Shapiro and Wretched Radio. Shapiro is a sharp political commentator who examines all sides and does not let party loyalty or ideology get in the way. Wretched Radio keeps you aware of movements and deviations from biblical Christianity but without the judgmentalism (except where it’s been earned). There are so many choices, it’s impossible to keep up. And you don’t have problems with interference or fading, as long as you have a good Internet connection.

The principal of it was splendid. The last update that I’ve done completely changed the look. The look is nothing. Nothing compared to how it works which has changed dramatically. I can’t access my saved stations. Saved not meaning my favorites as they were different on purpose. The app now starts off playing the last station and if I want to change the station I have to go through my now limited ability to see stations to do so. Clicking on it doesn’t change it instantly anymore and it takes ages for it to load a list I personally don’t care for and change the station. It’s overly complex for no reason. Having a list is fine after you’ve started my saved station or if it was a new station for me to see what would be on it. I throughly dislike it, and I forgot why I didn’t update it. I will go through iTunes and undo the update.
Stop the REPETITIVE ads!!!
by Bears99 on 2018/01/10 15:27
An American Red Cross ad played 15 times in a row today. That is ridiculous. This isn’t the first time either. It happens every time I use this app. Also, it seems every few months the ad that repeats over and over changes. A while ago it was about Jimmy and his grandpa talking about light bulbs, then it was about Alison and seat belt safety, now it’s for blood donation. I’ve written about this before and you replied saying “we need to have ads to support us to give you the best musical experience”. Well listening to an ad on an endless loop is hardly a great experience. So now every time I hear the Red Cross ad I know it’s going to repeat so I have to restart the app. Somethings that works, but mostly it restarts the ad repetition all over again. So I just have to sit there and listen to the ad until it stops. It happened today from 10:15 am through 10:25 am EST. I was listening to the Loop. You need to fix your crappy ad algorithms.
Bug needs fixing...
by Kim & Trone on 2019/01/29 14:47
There’s a glitch in the app that needs to be fixed ASAP. When I play an artist station (in this example, it’s Lindsey Stirling) and I tap to replay a song, a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT song begins to play. On a hunch, I went back into the replay menu yesterday and tapped on the song currently playing to see what would happen and lo and behold the song I originally wanted to replay started playing! What’s interesting is that the song that I “skipped by going to replay domes back on exactly two tracks later. The same happens if I let the “wrong” replay song play through—the song I really wanted to replay comes back on two tracks later. It’s really frustrating and I like the vast majority of the songs that play on the artist station I listen to daily, so it feels like I’m skipping stuff I like just to replay a song I want to hear. Even my 9-year-old noticed it! Please fix this.
Used to be the best but now
by wndyeliza on 2018/02/16 05:36
I down loaded iHeart Radio several years ago and was a very loyal listener because l could get any artist l wanted even some of the lesser known ones ( NOT flavor of the year types). I’m punching in favs having a good time. Well, lost my job and hasn’t opened the app now l find all of the things l used to do for free l get the opportunity to pay for. Why do l have to pay for their bad management? Yes, l know they almost went bankrupt, but why are you screwing the fans? We are the ones who come to the festivals paying big bucks, so now l get to subscribe to get my unlimited plays back, what does that hurt you guys that you need money for it? If you’re that close to going BK then re-organize so you don’t hurt the people who came to you in the first place and kisten to your stations on/off the app. You have a good thing, don’t get greedy.
STOP HIDING SAVED STATIONS!
by Hansoloicanthearyou on 2017/12/21 22:20
This new update was the last straw for me. Every update the app gets less and less useful and harder to use. First off the “for you” page is completely worthless. Stop making that the landing page. Second, every single time you update the app it becomes harder and harder to find my saved stations. It is sooooo annoying! I should be able to just hit the app and it starts playing the last station I listened to. Sometimes it will sometimes it seems to have no idea what I listened to last so I have to hunt around the app to find my saved stations. Then once I get used to how to find it you update it again and move the saved stations AGAIN. The landing page should be simple - recently played stations and then your favorite stations on a scrolling list. I shouldn’t have to hunt around the app for 10 minutes trying to find them.
Love for my local station, BUT....
by CoolMomsRock! on 2018/10/10 17:38
Few things I don’t like. I considered paying for this because I use it a lot and was interested in the other paid features. Glad I used the free trial (since canceled). I used “my favorites” that’s supposed to play just what I’ve liked, and it played a mess of songs that not only didn’t I like, I’d most certainly never made the effort to click like in the first place. I prefer the pandora option of being able to create a station based on multiple songs or artists. And lastly, hello... why offer a “lyrics” option if there are never any lyrics available? Nothing worth than an ear worm with lyrics you know you’re not hearing right. So I ‘ll continue to use multiples until one music app gets it 100% right.
Tricked me into paying for a subscription
by MigrantFarmer on 2018/08/03 14:30
About a month ago, a pop-up got me to click on a free trial that I didn’t care for. Clearly, the X to exit the pop-up is too small, and you can unintentionally hit the ad instead of the X. Once the free trial ended, another pop-up came up yesterday when I was trying to turn on iHeartRadio. I thought I dismissed it, but a message kept coming up asking me to enter my iTunes password. Every time I dismissed that iTunes password request, it kept coming back. I assumed it was for an update, so eventually I just gave in and entered the password. I didn’t know it was to make a purchase. There was no other indication that the password would force a subscription. That is shady as hell. This company is pathetic for taking advantage of people like this. It makes sense why they are doing this forced subscription trick, though. These guys have been losing money since 2017. Nobody cares about their trash app.
Charges for the Plus?
by PrilWag80 on 2018/08/17 19:00
*Update, I have received a refund after several calls and chats with Apple Support. I am still not happy that there was not an email sent from IHeart radio telling me my free trial was ending so I wouldn’t have to go through all of this. I have sent them an email stating such. I am very unsatisfied with how I was treated when it came to being charged for the IHeart Plus which I didn’t even notice a difference in my app to know that something was different. I did not get a notice that I was about to be charged for something that I don’t even want and when I contacted support all I got was “well you know better for next time sorry we can’t refund your money even though you canceled on the day it was supposed to renew.” So in the end I paid $5.99 for something that I didn’t want. The least you can do is send an email to people saying Hey you are about to get charged if you don’t cancel so I would have known.
Radio with a heart
by Big Big Big Big A1 John on 2018/07/21 04:46
I love listening to Q 95 in Indianapolis. I even want to great so the concert tickets to go see Joan Jett and the black hearts Have a great time, fantastic concert. I would love for you 95 and I hurt radio to sponsor my wedding. I was a schoolteacher and was injured by a careless/rumored to be drunk driver. I have been through a great deal of therapy and testing to deal with by Trumatic brain injury. I met a wonderful woman who understands me and cares about me even though I have a serious brain injury. Raising money for the wedding has been extremely challenging, we’re not looking to do anything elaborate. Even a simple wedding is very costly. It’s amazing what a wedding dress cost. I’m hoping that I hurt radio will see this and being a radio with a heart help sponsor the wedding.
iHeart Radio
by Katie bobady on 2018/12/22 21:30
I ❤️ed this app before they started making ppl. sign up to use it. I don’t ❤️ it anymore. I don’t use it anymore on my newer iPad and iPhone b/c u started making ppl. sign up to use it. I only use it on my older iPad b/c I can listen to music w/out having to sign up to use it. It’s a little annoying b/c I have to hit a button all the time. And when I put music in there to play, it disappears, so every time I have to search for it again. And also u make ppl. use their email address if there’s any concerns. I absolutely refuse to use this app unless u change it back, so ppl. don’t have to sign up to use it, and so ppl. don’t have to use their email address to talk to someone about concerns. I’d give it 5 stars if ppl. can listen to music w/out having to sign up to use it, use an email address, having to hit a button, having to search for music every time b/c it disappears, but I’m giving it a 1. I’d give it 0 if I could.

What Happened?
by Chjvhjgcgvfvvbcgf on 2017/10/12 10:38
This app used to be great but they removed a lot of good features. A few problems that I have include not being able to make stations from songs anymore, and the app is slow because it loads so many ads. When I try to scroll through the recently played stations, it stops often and loads the "you have been selected for a free month of premium" but I don't want to use it yet. Another problem I have is that I can't seem to find the list of recently played songs where you can like or dislike the songs. Since the app loads ads often I press the skip song multiple times thinking the app is just being slow and I accidentally skip a song that I like and want to press like to add it to my favorites playlist. If you removed the recently played songs feature, please bring it back.
Great music system, it's better than public radio!
by Safety Valve on 2018/03/22 22:20
I highly enjoy listening to this on the PC and my phone, I can listen to music off season... no other normal public radio station (such as the ones you listen to in your car) can do, other than I Heart Radio, just plug in your favorite music genere (mine mains ones are Smooth Jazz, 80's and Sometimes on a blue moon Hoiliday music, when I am feeling "In The Mood") I remember listining to I heart radio as early as 2010 or 2011 in High School (we did not have a system at home that could support sound at the time) I plugged Smooth Jazz in the search tab and my enjoyment with the company grew if you could give I Heart Radio 10 stars I'd Give it 10/10!
What happened?!
by dcastro11057 on 2017/10/28 12:58
This app used to be my go to music listening app while I was at work and in the car. I loved it. But ever since the last few updates this app has really turned horrible. The app will randomly open itself and start playing music WITHOUT me even touching my phone! I was in a meeting a few days ago, phone on the table and on silent, and out of nowhere music starts playing. I quickly grabbed my phone and it was this stupid app playing music. It happens a few times now throughout the day. I have to keep my phone volume on silent and keep checking my phone to see if it’s playing. It’s really annoying. And also when I am actually listening to music it will just randomly stop playing for no reason. I’ll have to open my phone and hit the play button to get it going again. Please fix these issues and turn the app back to the great app it was.
What is the point?
by widwidricsas on 2018/04/23 10:45
Build a station based on your favorite artist they said. Type in the name and hear all the best songs. It is not as though I chose a one-hit wonder. A group with 16 studio albums and numerous concert albums, going back to the 70s, and I have heard TWO songs by the group I actually selected. If I had wanted a general 80s mix, I would have selected an 80s station. Call me ignorant, call me naive, I thought an artist-specific station should, you know, feature that artist. This is why I depend on my old iPod for music, and use this app for one talk radio station. I wanted to hear Styx. If I wanted to hear Boston, Foreigner, and REO Speedwagon, I would have entered their names. TL,DR: your song selection algorithm is bad and you should feel bad. Update: The developer responds and suggests I “upgrade” to a paid service, if I actually want to hear the one artist I want to listen to. How about this instead: One star and uninstalled.
Unresolved after more than a year
by WI aLf on 2019/01/27 11:48
I have sent the squawk several times, and by reading your reviews other people have the same issue. Why can’t there ever be any resolution to the way this app tracks listen to and unlistened podcasts. They have never remembers where you been, never picks up at the last point. It refuses to advance to the next available podcast in sequence. Why are earth don’t you allow us to delete listened to podcasts, that would at least allow me to take control of some of the housekeeping. More frustrating than the problems with this app is the fact that no one at your company seems to be interested in really hearing what the problem is. I listen to only one podcast out of Milwaukee, and I used to be able to download it and listen on a podcast app. Since I heart took this thing over they forced us to use their app, and it is broken.
Been using since it first came out...
by Weaslebub on 2017/09/13 23:27
and still love it! The ads can be annoying when switching between stations but it usually isn't an issue unless I'm listening to a ball game or talk show and want to hear something again. That's when I switch to another station that I know is 15-45 seconds behind the one that's on. The 30+ ad pops up and I miss hearing it again. Still haven't figured out the frequency of the ads though - they don't appear every time I switch stations, just when I'm wanting to hear something again 😶. All in all, seems to be a great app, a great business, and a great sponsor of up and coming talent.
Needs larger library, and higher quality streaming.
by yarnalt on 2018/01/30 20:02
It could be great if they would increase their song catalog by about 20 million, and give more options for streaming quality. In this highly competitive day they won’t be able to compete unless they can offer more instead of less. Not having streaming quality options is just unacceptable. As is not having a high quality setting that reaches at least 256kps. The $4.99 pricing tier also needs an option for offline stations. Another issue that just came up is random popping on all stations. This doesn’t occur on any other streaming app. It’s annoying enough that I can’t listen anymore. This shouldn’t be an issue on a service steaming such a low bitrate. I want to love this service but I won’t be back unless the popping is addressed.

Ads galore

Auto Renew Surprise
by KaptainKaoss on 2019/02/20 14:37

Shutdowns

Not reliable
by Mamirhi on 2019/02/20 13:12
App just quits at random. It often simply won’t play. It also often won’t work with my Bluetooth speaker. Wish it were more dependable.

Way too many popups

upgrade to plus and features removed?
by Zach az on 2019/02/18 20:28
can no longer thumbs up or down in carplay when clicking the three dots or three line popup menu?

Shady practices

by mrsgintheplacetobe on 2019/02/18 14:00
I really the app and it’s features, but a few things to improve upon is adding some new songs to stations that play according to the artist.

Paying
by IT WORKS RIP XXX on 2019/02/16 19:43
It’s so bad that just to listen to the music we want to some times it cost money this app is bad unless when you don’t have to pay for the song. YouTube is way better you can just search up a song for free.

by Kuroyukihime6 on 2019/02/15 21:49
I will have to update. I have told you, I do not want to see any ads or information on Ron’s podcast. Like really, y’all think that is a smart ideal to try to push that garbage down people throats??? App does a lot of buffering which will cause you to miss important parts of live board-cast. The only reason I am still using it is because it is the only way to listen to the Kane show while at work but this app is getting on my nerve to where I might just get rid of it.

iOS 12.1.4, iPhone 6 Plus Pros: * Better interface than my favorite station’s proprietary app, which is the only reason I switched.
If I have to put in hours curating my stations (which looks like the direction this is going), as opposed to having a variety of stations that are good, just need minor tweaks to be great, I’d might as well use Pandora!
iHeartRadio
by toddster70 on 2018/02/04 11:50
I would have given it a five star BC I simply love being too listen to my home rock station when I'm working BC I work out of town most of time.

And you don’t have problems with interference or fading, as long as you have a good Internet connection.
it's not as grand as it was
by Allanah M. on 2018/04/11 20:30
The principal of it was splendid.

Been using since it first came out...

and still love it!
