It’s perfect
by BrandonLolLol on 2020/01/29 05:05
For me I don’t see any issues and everything is just fine
Buggy disorganized software, too many ads
by Nickname7010 on 2020/01/29 00:29
App keeps crashing during live streaming my stations. Interface is slow and programming is getting shorter for hosts because of more ads.
Stations buffering
by renpissed on 2020/01/28 22:13
I have had this app and paid for it for years and recently this craziness is happening. I can only listen to a station/playlist for 3 songs before it stops playing. I then have to switch stations/playlist just so it plays. Then the cycle just keeps happening. I also can not switch to a station/playlist click on a certain song I want to hear because it refuses to play it and freezes again!! I’m extremely frustrated and tried all troubleshooting techniques also just updated app too!! So tell me again why I pay for this if I’m unable to listen to music continuously or what I want when I want?? Next thing I guess is to cancel my subscription and go to pandora!
Stops playing
by cutiepatootie1990 on 2020/01/28 18:25
I’ve had iHeart Radio for quite some time now. I never had a problem with it until now. It randomly stops playing music. So I have to close down the app completely and reboot the app again.
Great but...
by Waystland on 2020/01/28 12:40
I’ve enjoyed iHeart radio on my iPhone for many years. I’d like to give it 5 stars, but unfortunately there isn’t an app for Apple Watch. And for my lifestyle, that’s a big negative.
Why only in the US?
by Dkfickd 2638 on 2020/01/28 08:40
I love listening to kiss 108 but why can’t I listen from Germany?
Is this a joke?
by Viciah12 on 2020/01/28 03:36
I am sitting here listening to nothing but ads. No joke there was 20 ads in a row.
Disappointing
by West Coast Princess on 2020/01/27 23:54
I liked the ease of accessing the radio stations I regularly listen to. With each “update“ it has gotten worse. Now it is just a hassle. Favorite stations are no longer readily accessible. Frequently goes to music I never identified as a “favorite” as I don’t listen to specific music i listen to specific radio stations I like.
It’s a good app but...
by theshowlistener on 2020/01/27 16:19
I’ve used this app for over a year and honestly would’ve given it 5 stars before. Unfortunately after the newest update, I’ve been getting video ads that play over the content I’m listening to. I understand that because the app is free there will be ads, but these ads play while the podcast is still playing and there’s no way to pause the podcast. For 30 seconds you’re getting a jumble of sound and it is super annoying. If you’re going to have an ad play over the podcast at least make pausing the podcast an option.
Elvis Duran Show WHY
by Brett Kreider on 2020/01/27 12:58
Why is there 30 ads when I turn on the app to listen to their show?! It’s insane 5 minutes of ads before I ever get to hear the show. It’s the absolutely worst!
It’s ok
by RobPac on 2020/01/27 06:51
I hate that you have too pay for it and I was listening too this one radio and I tried too skip but then it wouldn’t let me and then I go back too the app and it took my last skip!!🙄Seriously what a rip off!!! Other then the fact that you have too pay to unlimited skips and things like that it’s a good app love some of the music but I wish it had more of the songs I like, maybe getting a test in the begging to go and have your songs that you like. That is the only thing I say too change the app and the pay thing. Other then that fav app
Podcasts
by soshoallyunfit on 2020/01/27 05:55
I would love for the podcast feature not reset each time I open the app. I would like for the podcast episodes continue from where I left off each time.
Too many adverts and limited music
by shaunmadonna on 2020/01/27 05:40
Too many adverts, very limited music selection when a particular artist is selected. It’s as though you play the same 5 songs, over and over and over. Gets old VERY quickly.
Too many ads!!
by Jeffm61 on 2020/01/27 00:28
If you listen to over-the-air local channels that already have too many commercials don’t use this app. Even when the station is already on air you have to listen to 3 minutes of commercials.
No customer service
by Lchstn on 2020/01/26 21:21
Been trying to get a password reset email for 3 days with no response. Very uncool.
Deleted
by Vegasdough on 2020/01/26 09:02

This app is a scam
by tylawyala on 2020/01/25 21:33
I don’t even have this app downloaded to my phone and it’s taking money out my account
Um... no. This needs fixing.
by Elbereth001 on 2020/01/25 20:44
I’ve got little ones, I like to and want to listen to ambient noises to lull them to sleep. What part of ambient noises includes R&B and Hip Hop? EWW! I don’t want to listen to this again. I want a wide variety of ambient stations. - One upset mommy.
What year is it?
by phoenixjl on 2020/01/25 17:37
You’d think by now this app wich I pay for would stop playing the same songs I thumbs down and play some of the songs I thumbs up. Like what’s the point if it’s not affecting my listening experience. If I wanted so much repetition I just listen to the radio.
Hidden Automatic Subscription
by Jerseyjoe50 on 2020/01/24 23:00
Great app, except when it automatically switches to a monthly subscription and you get billed. $6 per month. I never authorized that. That is a shady, deceptive practice. It’s happened to me twice now. Watch your credit card bills. Not worth it.
App used to remember where I left off on podcasts!!!
by tbhuey on 2020/01/24 18:23
A few months ago the app would remember where I left off on podcasts, and would automatically go to that spot when I would open the app. Now I’m constantly having to try to figure out where I left off, very frustrating.
Constantly takes control
by Disorganized orginization on 2020/01/24 17:33
If I switch to any other music app, IHeartRadio will fade it out so it can try to be the only music app working when open. Close the app out complete and other music apps work fine.
1 Click Better than 2
by Runningfred on 2020/01/24 13:58
I used to be solid 5 star supporter until a recent update. Previously you could jump from station to station in your Library with 1 click, but now it jumps to an in-between page and requires a second click. Any change that adds a click is a step backwards.
The worse radio app
by VixenBrownSugar on 2020/01/24 13:47
To many commercial that come often and cuts off the show. The show will come in mid subject after each break. I listen to v103 and I don't hear any muisc just commercial and the talk portion of the show. In 1 hours I'll hear half a song. The worst radio app
No Good
by P-Poor on 2020/01/24 10:21

Listening order and give Tanya her own show!!!
by K Margarita on 2020/01/23 19:48
I LOVE listening to On Air with Ryan Seacrest....ps someone give Tanya her own show!!! But my app says you can replay the show later on but doesn’t let me click on it. But the lost annoying is listening to the podcast, it doesn’t go in order. Please fix this!!! And please seriously give Tanya her own show that just follows her whole day! That would be great
Horrible , it makes me give 1 star. I say 0.
by ChoppaG on 2020/01/23 18:13
I signed in to the app one time for a radio station, now I have payments pulled from my account every month. I have tried to reach Customer service and have got nothing in return. I have no way to cancel or reverse the payment I just have to live with the App taking my money every month.
An issue
by Java57913 on 2020/01/23 17:03
It keeps asking me for my user name and passcode. Every 2, 3, 5 minutes randomly. After installed and working.
Won’t play while charging
by Ryno5829 on 2020/01/23 16:53
This app strangely doesn’t work when plugged into a charger
Disappointed
by justwanttolistentomusic on 2020/01/23 14:14
I used to listen to this app all the time. Then deleted it and couldn’t remember why but once I redownloaded it and started listening I remembered why. There’s way too many commercials and ads. I had the app open and listened for over 15 minutes before I finally heard a song. Tried to listen for a radio contest that was going on and opened the app and started listening before I went into work and even when I opened the app in the car it didn’t match up with what was playing or being said on the radio at all. Very disappointed.
Not free as advertised
by sara1962 on 2020/01/23 04:03
Download this because I understood it was free, as advertised. But got charged $5.00. UNACEPTABLE! I’ll be calling tomorrow False advertising is a crime
Garbage
by Dangood122 on 2020/01/23 03:22
Wouldn’t load app, wouldn’t cast to my google home when it finally did. After a full restart and closing all my apps finally got it it cast and it kept rewinding my podcast 2-4 minutes when I paused it or adjusted the volume! Waste of my time
Review
by dgxhubbard on 2020/01/23 02:40
I listen to an show on wisn podcast and Hannity. However I stopped listening to Hannity on iheart because they run nbc news which goes out of its way to trash trump. Play news that matches the category which is conservative. If I wanted to listen to liberal content I would choose that.
Could be better
by Moojam40 on 2020/01/22 16:22
Usually app often but considering a change due to WAAAY too many commercials
One star due to blood pressure
by nowisthetime426 on 2020/01/21 19:57
I PAY $12 a month and I still cannot get KFI without 20 commercials!
Love it soooooooooo much
by connor orr on 2020/01/21 12:08
I love the six minutes podcast but I’m really sad it is going away it is our favorite podcast I learned about it from my teacher, but my class stoped listening I showed my mom the podcast and she fell in love with the podcast immediately then my sister and now we listened to every episode up to now and we are waiting for the next one thank you IHeartRadio for making this series and I think everyone should download the app and listen to whatever they want it is a really good app and I advise you to download it byeeeeee!
Horrible
by tyja1006 on 2020/01/21 10:21

Drops radio on WiFi every 2-3 minutes
by C17fly on 2020/01/21 01:08
Drops radio on WiFi every 2-3 minutes even when sitting in one spot with strong signal. So frustrating. Then when it connects it plays a stupid ad again for 15-30 seconds using up part of the 3 minutes then drops the station after 2-3 minutes more of station time. Is there was another way to listen to my favorite station, believe me, I’d do it!!
Interface changes for the sake of change
by user$@99 on 2020/01/20 15:07
By clicking on a station I was able to activate and listen. Now clicking bring up another panel with a click button to activate the station. Why the extra steps? I always stuck by the old adage: if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
Why would I use this app?
by iHeartmoney on 2020/01/20 12:49
App is fine but since you fired all your DJs, why would I listen? Deleting you. Bye iHeart.
Love and Plastic
by Annette La Barr on 2020/01/20 04:19
Love and plastic is one of my new favorite podcasts. Listening to Dr. Miami and Mack is definitely entertaining on a very real level just like his Snapchat. Love it❤️
Can’t listen during big moments
by comeon1 on 2020/01/19 21:55
I tried listening in to the AFC championship game but of course it never was able to load the station. This app is not good for anything important.

Unhappy Lay Off at Local Station Leaving
by Sunrises Watcher on 2020/01/19 07:09
Learned WCOD a part of iHeartRadio recently laid off Dan and Stephanie, radio morning talk show hosts and not happy at all. Leaving iHeartRadio radio, signed up with alternative popular satellite radio that have hosts on their radio shows. Willing to pay to have this feature. Shame on iHeartRadio.
Hope
by Faith>Fear on 2020/01/19 02:30

Horrible company who care nothing for the many people who helped to build it😡
No more local radio, uninstalling!
by Jparmurr on 2020/01/18 13:49
I will no longer listen to or support iHeartRadio due to the 2020 “Black Tuesday” gutting of local radio and the classless way in which it was handled. Used to wake up in the mornings to local news talk and listen throughout the day, no more! Now it’s a bunch of syndicated national one-size-fits-all crap. IHeartRadio has completely violated the public trust and is no longer providing a local presence, news, or talk over the airwaves (which the public owns). IHeartRadio is a black hole, I’m out.
You killed local radio
by mojorisin733 on 2020/01/17 22:46
I deleted this app because you fired over a 1000 local DJs across the country. You killed local radio, shame on you!!!!!!
Not working
by Perfectly !mperfect on 2020/01/17 18:15
So I tried downloading the app because iHeartRadio and online is not working even tho commercials play, the radio station is not playing. This was a complete waste of time!!! I downloaded the app and signed up but still the same issue!!! Commercials come thru just fine not the radio station! Not sure if it’s the radio station itself not working but I will be deleting this app because there is no point in downloading it!
Bye-eeeeeee!
by VampyrGoyl on 2020/01/17 17:58
This company just unceremoniously dumped two (so far) longtime on-air hosts in Los Angeles from their KOST station, so I’m dumping them and their app. BYEEEEE!
Pausing
by Fahnnie on 2020/01/17 17:11
I’m new to iHeartRadio, but I like to listen to podcasts and live radio on it while I’m working. I use Powerbeats to listen and when I pause a podcast I’m listening to for more than a minute, I lose it. When I open my phone it’s on the iHeartRadio home page, it hasn’t crashed or anything, but the podcast isn’t at the bottom of the page anymore or anything. It’s as if I was never using the app. Every. Single. Time. It’s so frustrating to have to constantly go back and search through the show I’m listening to for the specific podcast I was on anytime I have to pause the podcast for a minute. I wish they would put out an update to fix this with iOS asap.
Was better
by Tomy_Jones02 on 2020/01/17 11:41
“We update our app regularly to improve your experience”. More like we update our app to slow it down and increase the amount of bugs, increase the amount of time it takes to switch station. Nice job of improving I to improve out experience!!!!
iHateRadio
by A363432 on 2020/01/17 03:20
Fires REAL people in favor of ai djs. If I wanted to listen to just your music chosen for me by an algorithm I would have used your app. You’ve lost a lot of business by firing some of the best talents and most beloved djs in the industry.
Horrible! Drops connection frequently!
by Brad cave creek on 2020/01/17 01:32
Horrible connection. Will stream then stops suddenly when they are announcing the keyword for the contest. Today it played tons of commercials finally connected then stopped!
Continual problems!
by kippy7769 on 2020/01/16 17:27
I work with my earbuds in all day. I live in San Antonio and have Verizon with unlimited data. When ever I give up on trying to listen to iHeartRadio all my other apps work seamless! (Spotify generally if iHeartRadio isn’t working) So my problems are not service related! But is app fails way too much😔😔😔!!

Bradley Jay overnight WBZ 1030 host
by Seabiscuit2011 on 2020/01/16 02:18
Today Jan 15 2020 we heard the news of major restructuring at WBZ 1030 including the firing of your overnight host Bradley Jay. I cannot express enough how disappointed and upset my husband and I are that you are removing this very successful personable and incredibly talented night time host who has a following that numbers in the tens of thousands. I cannot imagine your decision to replace this host who is a Boston resident and resonates with each and every one of his NATIONWIDE audience — and who brings lively interesting and varied discussions night after night. I will no longer listen to iHeartRadio and will no longer listen to Kiss 108 or any of the programming provided iHeartRadio and I will encourage my friends and family of this horrible decision made by your company to abandon a LOVED nighttime host. Shame on you iHeartRadio for taking away a beloved and talented nighttime host who has so many followers — for what — some watered down nationwide program? Horrible!!

Killed local radio
by AKBraves on 2020/01/16 00:49
Greed won and these idiots killed the highest rated sports talk shows to play nationally syndicated shows. App deleted.
Often Won’t Play what you want
by Sarahpac1988 on 2020/01/16 00:42
I consistently have been having issues where the app will not play the episodes I want. Sometimes because of ads (which didn’t used to be an issue... it used to just play an extra ad and start the episode) and sometimes just.. because? I will start or resume an episode... and either nothing will happen or after a long pause some random different episode will start.

by J0hN-J0hN on 2020/01/15 15:49

Terrible
by Mimmabean on 2020/01/15 15:38
I can’t believe that an intelligent, thought-provoking program from 9-noon that Leland Conway brought daily has been cancelled. What’s even more ‘insulting’ is that he was replaced with two comics. No wonder the population is being ‘dumbed down’. Shame on you iHeart. If I could give a minus rating it would reflect -100. Canceling my subscription to iHeart now.

B95 in eau Claire WI needs Donuts
by dkkjjkkkk on 2020/01/15 13:53
You let go several employees in Eau Claire including Donuts a few days ago.The only reason I listened to the radio in the morning was to hear real people from my city. I don’t even like country! I’ve listened to Mike and donuts since I was a kid and look forward to hearing them at local events. B95 will not be the same. I can listen to my xm in my car. I chose to hear their morning show instead. I will not be listening to an Iheart radio station. Hannah on z100 was also good and she is gone.

Low class
by turbo woc on 2020/01/15 03:02
No zero star rating option is as disappointing as this company, their app, and their “modern business model.” Low class organization who is no longer relevant. Barely was to begin with.
Local shows snubbed.
by Stu4ISU on 2020/01/15 02:53
I know this is yelling into the void, but iHeartMedia sure screwed up by ousting probably more than just my local radio personalities. If I couldn’t listen in the car, I used the app at my desk, I downloaded podcasts, and was a faithful listener. You won’t even remotely be able to replace what you have destroyed in Des Moines, Iowa.

by mbrentwood on 2020/01/14 20:21

Ridiculous amount of commercials...what a joke!
by Aposaki on 2020/01/14 16:29
So I had tried out iHeartRadio a few years ago when I was feeling nostalgic for my old Cleveland market radio stations. The trial was short lived, as the first time I booted up the app, it played several commercials before even playing a song. I saw where this was headed and immediately uninstalled the app. Today, feeling nostalgic again and with several years having passed, I figured hey, time to see if things have changed and give it another try! What a mistake. This time, I got ONE whole song, before it immediately proceeded to play five commercials in a row. I didn’t wait to see if it was going to play even more before it got back to the music. The commercials were not exactly short, either! So here I am, reinstalling the app and immediately uninstalling it, just like before. Guess things haven’t changed. I’m glad some people seem to get something out of it. I’ve gotten one song and about 10 commercials...what an amazing app!
Needs some updates
by Lizt33 on 2020/01/14 16:10
I paid for this cause we’re I work doesn’t allow radios, but I can listen on my phone. It finally got me listening to a wider range of music then I have for most of my adult life (more like I was a teen). It allows my fast in music to be recognized. It’s even got me listening to P.O.D. casts. But some songs that I’ve saved to playlists refuse to play, or won’t play anything after them (I love Mr Universal but I don’t need to listen to Timber six times, and I’d like my saved AX7 to play). And the podcasts don’t play in order, they play in reverse order. These things make life difficult.
WOULD be awesome....
by Dzvjgvfc on 2020/01/14 15:56
This app could be 5 star worthy, if only my radio didn’t skip out every two minutes. Not worth it I’d you can stream uninterrupted.

This station plays the songs I grew up listening to! Brings back many memories!
Since latest update, nothing’s playing.
by Rocki1978 on 2020/01/14 15:26
Hello! I’m an iHeart Radio app user for my Apple iPhone and since the last update, none of my stations are loading and playing. I have checked with other app users and they have not reported any issues. I have restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and the problem persists.
Does it play radio stations?
by frateated on 2020/01/14 14:09
All it does is plays advertisements when attempting to listen to live radio stations.
Great app! Always loved it

Love the show!! Once you know the 4 on board they become your second family. I trust the commercial ads they speak about. It’s a business and they are worthy of great thanks by the company!! I will travel to their area for events. There program has been on for maybe 14 months so far. They are great and Thank you for my daily entertainment. If I miss the show or part of it due to my work you have also enabled me you listen to their podcast!! Thanks again

Great app
by crc_06 on 2020/01/13 18:25
I love this app. The only problem I have with it is you have to pay for 2/3 of the app so it’s aggravating how you keep running into barriers. But, it is 1# for radio, 1# for podcasting, basically a great app. I don’t pay for anything and I know its a great app. If you are planning on getting this app, I say you should get it.
Why are my favorites not front and center??
by joha12248381 on 2020/01/13 16:29
In the last couple months this app was updated. When I open the app now I see all kinds of crap that I don’t care about and have never listened to. I want to see what I am subscribed to and what I listen to when I open the app. If I want something new I will search for it. It used to show me what I wanted when opened immediately, why would you screw this up?
I love the app but....
by ToeFur79 on 2020/01/01 17:13
This app is great for listening to music. I love all the iHeart decades I listen to them all. You finally added iHeart 10. Ya. I also love listening to Valentine in the morning best morning show out there in my opinion of course. I do wish the full paid version was 10$ like apple’s. But I keep listening to the free version until that happens. Now to the only complaint I have you introduced podcasts okay I had never listened to nor cared about them until you started playing them then I found ComicBook nation and I was hooked. I have also found some really cool “radio dramas” but and here’s the problem I cannot listening to them in order with out opening the app after every podcast and selecting the next one otherwise it plays them in reverse order every time. Who wants to listen to a story backwards? I have played with the little arrows at the top of the podcast but that just reorders them on the list not the actual playing order. So I have unsubscribed from all of the podcasts that I am not caught up on until you fix is. Im not getting a ticket for being on my phone while driving just so I can hear a story I order. Love the app please fix this. Thank you for all you great work.
Was great on Windows Phone, new web app version six
by Nominally Normal on 2017/12/10 18:10
Loved this app on my Windows Phone, installed it when I was forced to switch to iPhone (which has been an inferior user experience in almost every way - it can’t even do autocorrect as well as the WP, but I digress), and it was pretty similar throughout the fall of 2017... logged in today, December, to find everything changed. I can’t figure out how to get to my favorite artist-based station (can find artist in search, but there doesn’t seem to be a station option anymore?) can’t find the Recently Played Songs list once I’m playing a station. It’s fine to change things, but not in such an extreme way that it appears so nonsensical to even fairly on-top-of-things users that they can’t easily find the features that are important to them. I don’t know if it was a web app before, but it must be because I don’t recall downloading an update and everything is just a little off, not polished and smooth like a native app would be. I expected that sort of thing on a minority platform like WP, but it’s really disappointing to have a worse experience on a brand new iPhone. Anyway, this app is in need of some major organizing/UI changes before it can match the user experience of previous versions. If I have to put in hours curating my stations (which looks like the direction this is going), as opposed to having a variety of stations that are good, just need minor tweaks to be great, I’d might as well use Pandora!
iHeartRadio
by toddster70 on 2018/02/04 11:50
I would have given it a five star BC I simply love being too listen to my home rock station when I'm working BC I work out of town most of time. But for some crazy reason lately it has started at 100% volume, even just now I got a head start on it and began working it down to about 60 % for it just to jump right back full blast even though I was holding down on volume button. Now I really can't explain how out why it would be turning down and almost to the half mark just for it to jump to the full volume while I'm still holding on the volume but this is not some thing that I can take or tolerate at 615 am nor will my boss's or work mates at this time in the morning and hell it could give some one a heart attack when u go from nor hearing a thing where a needle could be able to be heard hitting the floor. But you could say every one is awake today after this Bluetooth box going off. Please let me know what could and out can be done and if it's anything to do on my part in really sorry for not given the extra star but I had the volume working down for it to start over. Thanks and please have this fixed or fixed for me. Have no complaints about anything else so everyone download this app and listen to your favorite tubes so day and all the time for free.
Subscription is too expensive
by StotkaGirls on 2018/10/06 03:55
Almost but not quite 5🌟, would have kept my monthly subscription but it’s way too costly. For just radio I thought, but considering it’s only $15 or so it’s not that bad. It would be great for a disc jockey (DJ) or a wedding event you can actually set up your own play lists so it can just continue playing continuously. Unless you feel the need to have the DJ interact with you like your in a pub or event to interact with the crowd. I’m sure that if you had issues to where you didn’t have a DJ show up for work then this would work for most small town or small scale clubs that’s holding only 50/75 people or so. I will say that most of the time I am able to find just about anything I want to listen when I had the subscription. And I didn’t have to listen to commercials. It’s really nice cause if you are a big music fan who buys a lot of tracks per month then I would just personally purchase a subscription to the iHeartRadio app. It’s just that cool. But being that I don’t buy that much music and I just couldn’t see spending that kind of money per month.
TERRIBLE- glitches and horrible customer service!
by WWJD??? on 2019/10/27 03:20
I have tried to change my settings and preferences many times and the app never seams to save or removed them even though I save them and confirm they were saved. There were many times that I could not click on or open the options on the screen...so I had to pretty much just go with whatever the/they recommended. I am not very particular about my music, so for the most part that didn’t bother me as I can always type in a search and find things that way....but my preferences were not remember or retained and I completed the genre picks and set my preferences MULTIPLE times. MY MAIN COMPLAINT THOUGH.......IS..... Since I am FORCED to accept their rules and complete liability and responsibility just by using the app....Given the fact that the “terms of use” and “license agreements” and “hold harmless” agreements that you read and accept if you choose to use the application...are so strict and unaccountable on I HEART RADIOS part and clearly only represent and protect their interests and companies and their chosen advertisers and third party subsidiaries and/or partners......I REFUSE to overlook the glitches that were so present throughout the entire experience. Especially since the glitches involved almost deliberately refusing to accommodate or acknowledge MY PERSONAL preferences and choices and right to choose the music I like.
Good App for streaming
by JLChaney's iPhone on 2019/06/05 16:46
It really is a good app. On the plus side, it is efficient with band usage if you have a limited internet plan. It is stable, with good buffering (I have lousy internet in my area so this is vital to me). It has a lot of content, including podcasts galore that can be downloaded. The minus, for which I deduct the stars has been to do with the ads. (I know, I could subscribe, but the monthly is too high for what I am listening too. Maybe some day someone can develop some sort of tiered subscriptions for those of us who just listen to limited content). I listen to a 24 hr news show with commentary. I grew up listening to KFI640 Los Angeles every morning. I don’t begrudge iheart for slipping in a couple of ads here and there, but you step right over THE PROGRAM ITSELF! Your ads should step on top of their ads, not the program. I want the whole news, not just the commentary. That’s what I chose, and it infuriates me when you cut the program off for a crappy 7-11 add, for which I will NEVER set foot in as my blood pressure rises, every time I see the sign and am reminded it’s going to INTERRUPT the program I am listening to in the morning. Iheart could program the timing of their ads better than this.
Good App (Usually...)
by Rosemaryadventure23 on 2018/01/05 02:52
Edit: It seems like all of the other problems I list below are gone now, due to the fact that I can’t get the app to play ANY music now. None of my stations work, they all constantly have a loading symbol, and where the artist’s other songs/info are, it says, “Artist Profile is not available at this time”. The app is completely useless to me at this point because it doesn’t do anything, and this started today only a few hours ago. This can’t be a phone problem because I have the latest iOS on a brand new iPhone 8. I’m hoping this will be fixed soon. I've used this app for a few years, and I've discovered many new artists and songs through this app. However, I've been experiencing a few problems lately. My biggest problem is that sometimes the app will refresh in the middle of a song, and not just pause it, but get rid of the song completely. I'm not sure if I can fix this in my phone settings or if it's an app issue, but this has never happened before. Another issue is that some ads with sound play at the same time as a song, which is obviously annoying. Overall, it is a good app and does what it promises, but with a few bugs.
Radio is still king
by DisneyLouisiana on 2019/01/23 05:59
I love radio and I mean real radio. IHeartRadio definitely fills my plate with what I love. I traveled for work and found great stations and shows that I continue listening to. It’s great to tune into a station from home when I’m hundreds of miles away and listening to what’s going on in my local area. They also have great streaming stations and the “Mixtape” is awesome. I didn’t give it five stars because after years with stock radios my wife got me a JVC stereo for my truck which had this awesome iHeartRadio feature. After multiple tries of connecting I went to the iHeartRadio support and the feature is no longer supported by iHeartRadio. I know I can just listen to it through usb or Bluetooth but I was looking forward to this feature on my new radio. Now I noticed that they have IHeartRadio “Auto” app. So now I have to have two apps ?? I actually pay for this one and I’m thinking of stopping because it’s a little frustrating.
It’s all about the money
by Chief Colorado on 2019/09/15 10:58
I really thought I’d struck gold when i-heart radio was commercial free without a fee. Then it happened, they now charge for commercial free and the free station is littered with commercials that are louder and obnoxious in between the music I love to listen to each day. It’s sad it’s about the money and nothing is sacred anymore without a profit motive. The commercials can’t be manually jumped over and they are louder than the volume of the music. They interfere with atmosphere of the songs being played. I manually reduced the volume so I don’t have to listen to the drivel of each commercial played. Then they put you through a torturous video commercial at startup before you get to listen to your favorite music. Honestly, I can’t even remember one of their commercial sponsors except for the monotone , “Cars for kids “ that I muted until it goes over. We are so mercifully pelted with commercials these days that I don’t honestly remember any commercial I hear. If I’m going to by something, I use a search engine to find what I’m in need of and not brainwashed into buying something from an obnoxious repetitive commercial. If anything, I’m repelled by the commercials and boycott their products. Thank you for the opportunity to vent my displeasure with today’s technology held hostage by advertising ad-nauseum. Yuck!
Great but one issue...
by Reviewer errrrr on 2019/06/04 00:46
I am completely loving this app. Features that I love is that it plays in the background of any other app. This is the best especially when using Waze in the car. I can still get the verbal directions from waze and the volume of iHeartRadio goes lower but doesn’t shut off! Also, when I close the app mid podcast, the podcast restarts automatically upon returning to the app. This also continues playing when minimized and when the phone is locked. The only feature that I would love to see change is the order in which the podcasts play. Instead of going up the list, example #4 to #5, the podcasts will play going down the list from #5 to #4. This means that you have to physically go into the app and click on the next podcast on the list. This is something that I hate doing, particularly when driving as it’s dangerous! I would love for iHeartRadio to fix this issue so that I can play a podcast list, and let it run up the list without needing to reopen the app and physically tap the next on the list. Besides this issue, I love this app for podcasts!
WOW
by Darbie+doo on 2019/04/27 05:00
I first got a iHeartRadio as a free app when I first got my mobile device. It was free it was fun and the music was good because I could listen to it anywhere. That was about three years ago, now so much of the free things have been replaced by paid services that if I want to change anything that I had set up three years ago I can’t do it unless I pay them their fees to change anything on my accounts. You really have to love progress. On top of that because my mobile device is constantly logged on it doesn’t recognize the passwords I set up before they changed their site so now when I go to login online to try and change things it doesn’t recognize me. It’s a blast trying to reset my passwords and prove I’m not a freaking robot, great job iHeartRadio. I think it’s pretty funny that I have to prove I’m not a robot to reset my password but they can send automated email responses to folks. I’ve had these kind of problems before and they’ll send a generated email that says hey look up these corresponding posts on the forums to see if they match your problems. It’s all fun and games until the autistic guy wants to talk to a person then everybody hides behind a computer screen, if you find this funny awesome, if you don’t, fix it. It’s just one guys opinion.
Super inconsistent
by DigitalDCH on 2019/07/07 11:27
I use this app because it gives me access to older podcasts than apple’s podcast app does, but this app is absolutely infuriating! Sometimes the controls will be available from the home screen or the control center, but not always. Sometimes the controls have play/pause, skip forward 30s and skip backward 15s, but sometimes it’s play/pause, skip forward 30s and 3 bars that allow you to skip to the next/last podcast and maybe remove it from your list of favorites (can’t remember the last feature). The fact that the app isn’t always recognized as playing means that I can’t use my headphone shortcuts to play/pause like I normally do, and have to go in to open the app if I want to pause, which is super inconvenient when someone comes in to talk to you but you’re listening to a podcast and have to dig around to finally make the app pause and by that point you’ve either missed an indeterminate amount of podcast or you’ve missed half of what the person was saying to you. Overall this seems like something that an app developer whose primary focus is audio should be really on top of, and it is pretty poor development not to have this figured out in my opinion.
To download or Not to d/l ?
by cbry1188 on 2018/05/23 19:58
I was going to dl the iheartradio Free app & thought I would check out the reviews before doing so. I was quite intrigued by the various array of issues that people pointed out, so I kept reading... first few reviews, I saw the response to the Reviewer’s issues by iheartradio was that they wanted to resolve whatever issues they were having & to please contact (email) them, so they can further address the problem(s). I thought, “Wow, they really do want to make sure that the problem is resolved for that person & seem to be taking that extra step in doing so.” Then I kept reading....I would have to say that each & every review that I read, the response was always the same , “pls contact (email) us, so that we can look into this issue and help you resolve it. “ Then I realized, why wouldn’t they address the issue or at least write down a foot note to the review, addressing the outcome & HOW it was corrected!!! I decided NOT to dl the app at this time bc I’m not if all the issues written about were ADDRESSED & CORRECTED ?? It’s great that you guys address the concerns and ask people to contact you for help -but how about letting the rest of us reading the reviews know how things turned out? Were the issues corrected & MORE IMPORTANTLY, How??
Tricked into automatically enrolling.
by Buckeye chris on 2018/09/15 16:05
I’ll start by saying I love the IHeartRadio app. I’ve been using it for almost 10 years now. It’s great because I travel for work and when in my truck in areas where there’s no local stations I can still have music. Plus I love all the podcasts. For instance I listen to the Alan Cox show that’s airs in Cleveland Ohio. They have all the shows from the past year so even if I miss a day or two I can go back and listen. However yesterday when I opened the app I had a popup window asking me to subscribe to a monthly trial. I tried to close the window and it automatically enrolled me in monthly subscriptions. I’m amazed apps can even get away with this. You basically tricked me into getting the subscription. You took advantage of the in-app purchase and since I have touch ID enabled there’s no way to avoid it. Judging by the reviews and the post on the Apple forums this is happening to a lot of people. I was able to contact Apple and let them know what was going on and have the charges blocked. I shouldn’t have had to go through this process at all. I feel bad for all the people that aren’t going to realize it happened and be billed. If this happens again I will delete this app.
American Top 40 with Casey Kasem!
by wxntrafficfan on 2018/08/14 18:38
Back when I had my car, I was paying $30/month for Sirius XM expressly for the purpose of listening to one Casey Kasem show each week. Someone on Facebook had suggested that I login to iHeartRadio and simply search “Casey Kasem”, and I found a channel that streams just American Top 40 shows from the 70s and 80s 24/7! Being only 25, I was never able to listen to his shows live, and Casey had passed just as I started getting into his shows in 2014. I had previously only kept iHeartRadio on my iPhone and iPad to be able to stream a station out of Grand Rapids, Michigan in November and December each year when they switch to Christmas music. Needless to say, I stream American Top 40 through iHeartRadio at least 1-2 hours a day, and often listen to it for extended periods while at work. Thank you iHeartRadio for making it possible for me to listen to an icon I didn’t get to know until it was too late.
A lot of Positive-A lot of negative
by GKDimples on 2019/12/02 21:12
Couldn’t be happier with content and stations. On the flip side, it will play the same ad over and over (consecutively) while there is a station break. Also, horrible experience with local employee. Two local stations, only, were not playing. I called in to local office and receptionist who you see to claim prizes answered and was horrific. Insisted it was not their office and problem was on my end and hung up. I called corporate who gave excellent customer service said the 2 stations I inquired about were in fact down. I called back the local station, to let her know what corporate said in case other people called in and she literally called me a liar. Hung up on me. I tried calling back numerous times and she literally would not say anything and would pick up phone and slam it down, during regular business hrs. Called corporate back in hopes my conversation with local was recorded. They were extremely friendly, and promised to address with mgmt but I never received a follow-up to their investigation, as requested.
Way too easy to accidentally subscribe
by brappleye3 on 2018/10/15 16:44
I haven't minded the iHeartRadio app and service and it generally works very well and it’s easy to use. However... I was listening to the radio while riding my bike recently, and pulled my phone out to change the station I was listening to, and somehow managed to accidentally subscribe to the “Plus” service while attempting to lock my phone after. Sorry, it shouldn’t be this easy to subscribe to your paid services, or if it is, it needs to be easier to reverse it immediately so I don’t have to live with a subscription/charges I don’t care to have. I didn’t bother to call Apple to have the charge removed since it seemed like a hassle hardly worth $6. I was able to discontinue the subscription in my Apple account so I won’t get recurring charges. It’s just frustrating that I managed to buy something I didn’t intend to. It should require a few steps to get to the purchase, especially for a recurring subscription! If it manages to happen again, you can bet I will stop using this app and find a different way to stream the stations I listen to.
iHeart Radio App for iPhone 7
by HnTresS on 2019/03/08 22:52
I have been listening to the music on this app for over a week now and I can't enough of it. They made it easy to navigate with great features. It works for me and I haven't experienced any problems as of yet. I think that this app is awesome and I usually don't write many reviews on things unless it's worth my time. Besides there is an app for everything now a days to sit there and rate them all when you download or use them would take a while, at least in my case. I recommend iHeart Radio for those of you who love music without tons of commercial breaks. Thanks iHeart Radio and keep up the good work. So far you have a really great thing going for you and I hope that it doesn't change to much over time with a bunch of pointless improvements or updates that aren't necessary to the users or listeners.
The app slows everything down and even stops internet connection
by Jesuslovesme4ever on 2018/09/18 08:09
I wanted to like IHeart Radio but every time, I download the app (which I have downloaded and re downloaded multiple times), it significantly slows my internet connection or even stops it. It also takes forever to load one song on the app and much can't be done on the app when a song is buffering. I even tried closing apps and deleting one or two apps and the app still slows everything down- a lot or even stops apps and the internet all together. Every time, I download the app, the internet stops working and as soon as I delete the app, everything on my phone works normally and fast again. I like that there is a decent selection to choose from (although it seems like Apple Music and Google Play have more variety in music) and the radio station selection is awesome. This app would be great if only the app didn't slow things down. I really wish this app worked. If only it were fast and didn't halt internet connection. I've never had these problems with any other music streaming app.
App on repeat
by KyngEclipse on 2019/03/30 19:50
I do enjoy using the app every morning to get my daily dose of radio. However, lately it’s like the app has been on repeat. I know there’s a delay from the live radio broadcast, but why are the conversations starting over. In the middle of the conversations it goes silent for a few seconds and then the conversations start over from a certain point and it does this repeatedly for about 15-20 minutes. Sometimes it corrects itself but today it’s really gotten out of hand, I’ve missed over half of the live content because the first 30 seconds have been on constant repeat. It’s becoming annoying and makes me want to look towards other internet radio providers because it’s becoming too much to deal with now. *Update* Decided to come back and drop the rating due to the “help” that was offered from the developers. Why am I being asked for so much info that they should already have and also be asked to do this and that repeatedly when I already told the support team what was done to try and correct the issue. Dealing with support for this past week has been no help at all.
Unable to download podcasts for the last week
by 837394Hal on 2019/02/03 23:38
I love the app and I never leave a review on things. I’m reporting an issue. It was a little over a week ago. An update was sent out. Now I’m not able to download any podcasts. I’m forced to stream them only. It just keeps popping up with the message “unable to download” it repeatedly pops up ever couple seconds. I’ve checked to ensure I have given the app proper permissions. Please fix this issue. I get that I can’t download music or other things. Since I’m not a paying sub. As a free user I can only download podcasts. Which is good for me. I’ve always downloaded the Elvis Duran and the morning show. Along with three other Elvis Duran related shows. We really need the issue fixed, because it’s making me go over my data. I just got a text about being close to my 22.5 gig limit. I checked to see what is using my data. IHeartRadio has used 7 gigs in the last week. That’s because it’s fully loading the episode every single time I open up to listen. I will be forced to not use the app if this isn’t fixed. I will find something different. Love you all so please!!
Preffered over Pandora
by Moe The Messenger on 2017/12/23 11:48
I have used this app for about 3 years was pleased with the free version. I’ve seen it updated & pay for it to open up a few more features to find songs, some I can & some I can’t, but I pay the $5.99/month to repeat a single song once & some very limited song searching. I believed this app is good because I can mix genres of music & it’s intuitive enough to know when I need my gospel/Christian playlist vs. the other artists/songs that I’ve like in the past. It also offers suggestions & it doesn’t appear to be so commercialized, I repeat NOT a commercial distribution list of who you are forced to like. Some of my local/Independent artists have songs that I’m able to find. I’m thankful for that. I’m not an iTunes type of person. I hate I lost ALL of my music after switching from an iPhone 4 to iPhone 6s. It made my day to hear my own music that aren’t published on iTunes, so I’m glad to at least be able to search for the ones that I once had on here.
No respect, app is OK
by jeremy1069 on 2019/12/31 17:49
App is great but they have no respect for their listeners as far as radio stations go. None. Stations change format in the middle of the night, when listeners ask “Why” on Facebook or Twitter they’re deleted instantly. That’s how much respect iHeartradio has for their listeners. Zero. The radio stations get more generic and boring every year. The amount of time they spend playing commercials promoting this app could be literally used for something else more useful (Like real commercials that make real money or maybe a weather forecast) Beyond the bad radio stations, the app is pretty decent. Been using it since it came out around 2008 or so. Some of the other stations on this app are OK. Music streaming is nothing special. It has grown into a pretty decent Podcast platform in the last couple of years. There’s plenty to listen to. I do not believe they are “#1 for Podcasts” as they say on the radio over and over but I do believe they have a lot of them, which for people who listen to Podcasts (I rarely do) is a good thing.
Dupped

The app was great a few years ago and is fun on the desktop service since I last used it. I was itching for more radio recently and decided to open up the app. As soon as I did I was prompted with a subscription payment from iHeartRadio. They wanted me to verify that I wanted to try their trial subscription. I barely had enough time to look at what was going on before I accidentally rested my finger on my scanner and the subscription was accepted. I was lucky to be able to reverse it, however if I want that free trial now I have to use it immediately or not at all. This is ridiculous. I should not be immediately prompted with a payment upon opening an app that I haven’t used in months. Is downright disrespectful and near predatory. There was also no warning. No pop up to show me that I was going to make a purchase, no redirection. Immediately loading into the app I was forced into a transaction. From what I’ve read of similar reviews this isn’t uncommon. The lack of respect I was shown is disgusting to me. Please be wary of this. I will try out this app some more but this is a really bad way to start off.
I love the content, but not the updates
by Sammich12 on 2017/12/17 22:34
I first got iHeartRadio on my old ipod on ios6 and I loved it. They had a setting where I could explore music or listen to mostly the same stuff. They did away with that and I miss it. Since then they’ve made the sleep timer harder to access, and everytime I open the app I’m baraged with an ad to try to upgrade to a paid version. I don’ mind seeing that maybe once a week, but I’m using other apps more because I get this annoying self add every time I open the app. It’s also harder to find the most recent radio stations I listen to. It keeps getting harder and harder with the new updates. Lastly, I love the play on start-up feature, but lately it doesn’t work (even when turned on in the settings) probably because of the ad I have to close out of. I’ve dug out my old ipod and I now mostly listen to iHeartRadio from that with whatever version ios6 can handle
Subscription
by Funbro1 on 2018/09/19 10:53
I was charged $5.99 for a subscription that I was “tricked” into signing up for. I canceled the subscription within minutes of discovering that I had signed up for it, but ended up being charged anyway. I went to the online help on the iHeartRadio app to verify that my subscription was canceled and there is no unsubscribe button to hit. I then emailed iHeartRadio and received this response. “iHeartRadio Customer Support does not internally handle subscriptions processed through Apple. However, if you need to cancel your subscription, you can do so by following the procedure below:” I folloedthe procedure “below” only to get to a dead end. I sure hope I don’t get charged again, I guess I will have to open up a dispute through my credit card company at this point. In the future I will be very very careful what buttons that I tap. It’s a shame that the app gets updated and changes around so much that it is unfamiliar if you don’t use it every single day. Through the many updates I have also lost my favorite stations and my saved stations, and it gets really frustrating.
Good but could be better
by RyanDred on 2017/11/16 01:15
Honestly, this app is better than pandora. However, my main two issues with it are the dislike feature and the song selections when you choose a specific band or artist. 1. Dislike feature: The problem with it is that if you click the dislike button on a song, that same song will keep coming back later until you’ve disliked it 3-4 times. Then after about a month it’ll come back again 2. Band/artist song selection: My major issues with this feature is that when you choose a band you want to listen to, the app will play almost anything but that band/artist. For example, if you choose fallout boy the app will play a fallout boy song once in every ten songs or so. Therefore what is the point in being able to select an artist. Now I’m not saying I don’t want to hear things outside of the band/artist I have chosen, however, it would be nice to hear the chosen band/artist at least every other song or so.
Another radio company I forgot to list in the last review I wrote/ typed.

Hopefully you guys get back to me about all those stations being added to the app that I mentioned in the last review I wrote , but If you do launch all of those stations can you please all launch Bonneville International along with those other radio station companies I mentioned in the last review if you guys got it? Thank, Robbie Stanton. I’m A BIG FAN OF iHeartRadio. I’ve had this app on my devices since 2014 around like Thanksgiving or Christmas and would listen to the stations you own in Wheeling, Parkersburg and Huntington before my local radio stations were on iHeart. And also good thing this message or review didn’t disappear, can you please launch Southern Communications Corporation as well? Thanks, Robbie Stanton. Please get back at me soon as possible for the first and second review.
In A World Where Danger Is Everywhere...
by Pastorlarry on 2018/11/07 19:10
I was a subscriber to a popular satellite radio company who shall remain nameless. 🤔🤷‍♂️😂 Well, I found myself in between jobs and needing to find a way to stay caught up on what was going on in the worlds of sports, current world events, and the like. I had downloaded the iHeart Radio iPhone application a few years ago, but I never used it. Actually, I had forgotten about it due to the metal plate in my head negatively reacting to the use of my microwave when preparing my burritos. (My bowels would release and I would forget who I was for about an hour or so.) Anyway, I decided to utilize the application so as to experiment with and experience the full effects of the frequently promoted pleasure of said application. I must say that I was quite amazed at the vast and diverse selections at my fingertips! I am very thankful for the opportunity to listen to my favourite programs! I give this application 4 stars due to the excellence in which they approach this stubborn, never say die medium known as ”Radio.” Download it now and find out what you are missing! Also, if you too have a metal plate in your head, your reception will increase by at least 80%! iHeart radio and unlimited data...it is like heaven on earth, it is like Ireland without the pipe bombs. It is 🎯💯 GOLD!
Used to work better
by OriginalDino on 2017/11/28 19:57
Before the last update, iHeartRadio would resume the last station I was listening to when it connected with my car’s bluetooth. After the previous update, I started having to hit the channel down button on my steering wheel to get it to start playing. Fine, whatever. But since the last update even that no longer works; I have to open the app and manually tap the specific station I want. Every. Single. Time. Also, since the last update, every time I start the station, I get a 30-second video ad. Uh, a VIDEO ad, on iHeart RADIO? Seems a bit self-defeating, especially since many of the video ads have no audio indication of what they are advertising. So I’ve just learned to turn the audio down to zero when first starting, until the word ADVERTISEMENT goes away from my radio display. I tried iHeartAuto once, thinking to would be better suited to what I wanted, but that app was completely hopeless.
I do love the radio options
by Cherie Fairy on 2018/08/09 06:06
Although there are a few things I feel that could be better. I feel like skipping songs shouldn’t be an exclusive thing only paid membership people can do an unlimited amount of times, cause on the radio station that is titled my name’s favorites, a lot of stuff is mixed in there that I don’t actually listen to. And also, despite giving them the thumbs down, they reappear again. What’s the point of giving that song a thumbs down if it’s just going to show up again? I know I’m nitpicky, but these are things I feel that could make the experience better for the users that can not afford a membership or a subscription. Cause right now I cannot work and I wanna listen to music how I want to...and that’s skipping over stuff I don’t like to get to what I do like.
Don’t waste your money
by Lilmama88888888 on 2018/02/06 14:59
This app isn’t even worth downloading the free version, definitely don’t throw your money away for the paid version. 30% of the time I can’t get anything to load on here. When I actually can get it to work, it takes about 3 minutes to load. It rarely remembers where I left off on the podcasts. For example, right now, when it started up, after 3 minutes of waiting, it started playing a podcast I had already listened to. I kept trying to go to the Podcast I had already listened to about half of. The circle around the play button would go around and around for about 4 minutes and then it would go back to the previous podcast. After about 8 tried and wasting 20 minutes, it finally played the one I wanted, but started back over at the beginning, I had to spend another 5 minutes figuring out where I left off. There are so many other places to listen to music and podcasts, go elsewhere, unless you like constantly wasting 20 minutes of your day waiting for things to load.
Used to be great.
by Poloar caps on 2019/11/13 19:36
I’ve been having problems with the app as of recently. Radio stations work great but when listening to podcast, that’s where the problems start. First the playback order, I prefer to listen from old to newer ones just in case of two part episodes. Second after each episode I have to reopen the app to play the next episode since the app shuts down after ending an episode. And last the ads, it’s understandable why ads are needed but when you hear the same 30 second ad for 3 minutes straight and then again for another 1 or 2 when another episode starts. It gets really annoying. I have contacted them and got the general response of thanks for bringing it to their attention. This has been going on for almost 2 months. So now I’m stuck listening to out of order stories not understanding what is going on. Also the discontinuation of the watch app. It was better than using the native play to control the stations being played.
Fantastic Music
by MillionsLost on 2019/04/17 01:30
I have used iHeart Radio for about 3 years. I never have a problem finding the music I am interested in. The selection of live radio stations and genres is fabulous. I have lived in three different Countries besides the U.S. and it is fun to be able to find a “local station” from where I used to reside. iHeart makes it possible for me to stay current with the artists from these small Countries. This past weekend I went on a road trip through mountains. There were many places that Wi-Fi and even LTE were not available. iHeart radio continued playing through many of these places. Even when the radio stations on my radio weren’t playing. It really did make the trip better, having my favorite music along for the drive! Thanks iHeart!
Lousy App with Inconsistent Content
by ChiTownDave on 2019/06/04 20:07
They keep making this app worse! Now the app has to be restarted nearly every time I stop pause a channel. I can't help but wonder if they release updates as frequently as they do so that their app has more stars than it should. How about adding an option to nag screen of "Never" and making the default start screen "My Stations." Even trying to launch from the widget does not work as the app keeps forgetting my recent stations. I'd give it ZERO stars if I could. They took a buggy app that crashes, and introduced startup/channel change advertisements that delay getting to the program. It seems like every update makes this app perform worse. The newest version of app will just stop playing at the top and top and/or bottom of the hour. Further, the app once again fails to resume following a phone call. The widget also fails to play the station. Further, the app keeps forgetting recently played stations! More important is that channels like WLS are running commercials when the show has resumed for over-the-air listeners (that's assuming the stream is working at all). Further, app stops playing content for no apparent reason even while connected to WiFi. When tested against iheartradio on the computer (using same connection) the stream is playing on the computer, so the problem is with the app. Luckily, the content I enjoy is not limited to Clear Channel stations. Clear Channel should hire competent developers.
So many new problem
by Clarence kidney420 on 2018/10/06 19:23
Since the last update the app has been going crazy I pay monthly every month and it switches songs in the middle of listening to a song volume goes up and down like crazy and you can never find a number to talk to a person it makes me not want to pay with card monthly fee tried the free one does the same thing I would’ve given five stars but the new update messed it all up. They just keep saying it’s going to be fixed by their developers but they are not fixing it it has been almost 2 months paying $15 a month and they still have not even change thing and the only thing that they said was that they were working on it it’s all bull they don’t care about the people paying money the only way to get in touch with them is by email don’t waste your money they are as stupid as most people are these days horrible customer service maybe if they fix my radio station correctly I will give them a better review to be continued ?
App Issue
by Fjohn52 on 2019/02/28 14:31
For the third time, the app has gotten me to sign up for the $5.99 monthly version when I didn’t intend to. This didn’t happen ever until a couple of months ago. I pick up the phone to turn in the app and it asks for my thumbprint. Odd, but I do it. Then it says thanks for for subscription. There is no easy way to correct the mistake. It will let you cancel, but the charge isn’t reversed and I am stuck with it for a month. The first time, I spent a long time on the phone and email with Apple and PayPal. I eventually got the money reversed. The second time, I kicked myself for not having recognized it was happening again and I just canceled it and sucked up the $5.99 that I had to pay for a month of service I didn’t ask work. It happened again today and I am super frustrated. There must be something in this version of the app that is causing this because it never happened before. One had to go through a couple of steps to subscribe to the extra cost service.
Ghosts Playing With My Phone??
by Tmama711 on 2017/10/28 11:57
I use this app every single day to listen to my local radio station morning show. I’ve never had an issue, always runs really smoothly, except for an occasional “dead air” or skip in the middle of a song. I don’t use it for much more, not even rating songs. Here’s my problem... I turn it off when I’m ready to walk out the door to go to work, and it randomly starts playing again. The app is completely turned off and closed. This happens several times a day. Even while I’m at work. I ended up deleting the app and reinstalled it hoping that would fix the problem. It didn’t. So I deleted it again to ensure that I wouldn’t be humiliated at work again by the random music playing from my purse. I download the app again because like I said, I listen to Elvis every single day but this is getting seriously old and annoying.
Best app ever

I see a lot of reviews that aren’t positive about this app, yet I say there is no problems! Yes I know that there’s a lot of things you have to pay for, but there’s a lot of things you don’t. Like all my favorite channels, radio stations, and podcasts are free. I recommend this app for anybody Who likes listening to music. Also I was looking at my account and it gives me notifications whenever there’s a new song posted by One of my favorite artists and new podcast channels. I really like this app, and it kind of makes me feel weird that people are saying that it is a bad app. I mean how many apps give you a lot of free music? Not very many. Before I got this app I had to pay for all music, but now I get all my favorite stuff for free. #BestAppEver!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too many repetitive commercials for radi
by Hagarpun on 2018/07/05 12:07
I like the app. I use the app for listening to my favorite radio station, WTKS 104.1. It can be glitchy at times, but I think it may have to do with cellular issues. The reason why I’m giving it 2 stars is because at every commercial break, it plays the same commercials over and over and over. I know the commercials played are a way to generate income for the app but it’s ridiculous how many times these same commercials are played. I personally will not ever buy any product or service from any company advertising on real radio because it’s sickening listening to them over and over. The funny thing is is that a lot of other listeners will complain about the app for this reason, on the air. Now, if I could pay the subscription to get more local commercials, I would pay for it not to hear the same commercials over and over and over. Are you listening iHeart radio?
Best Radio App
by BUST123 on 2018/07/22 02:11
EDITED: The one issue I had was resolved. I use this app frequently and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you. ... Aside from the following issue, this app is awesome. I love the ability to listen to radio through my phone. Hopefully this gets resolved, my rating would be higher. Nearly every time I open the app, it automatically tries to make an in app purchase and asks for my finger print. This has something to do with the pop up offer that comes up every time I open the app. Instead of allowing me to dismiss the offer, it acts like I clicked on it. I could easily have accidentally subscribed to your paid service if I wasn’t paying close attention. Based on the reviews, this appears to already have happened to several other unsuspecting users. Please find a way to prevent this pop up from showing up every time I open the app. I understand you need a source revenue and have no problem with advertisements. But I’m not interested in making any purchases and would like to enjoy this free app without the risk of accidentally paying for a subscription each time I open it. I will update my review when this is resolved.
So many songs I never wanted to hear
by LusitaniaAngel313 on 2017/12/20 09:10
So the only reason why I’m not ranking this 5 stars is my own favorites station. Before I had a pretty finite selection and I was cool with that! Now I’m flooded by songs I don’t really care for and it seems if I thumb them down, they return days later (example being Uptown Funk which I completely despise)! While yes the station will play some of the songs I do care for, once they switch to what they THINK I like, good luck getting my songs to play again. Also it annoys me when the same station flat out quits and won’t play anything! Like it ran out of content! Now I will admit this station has pulled some interesting surprises like pulling Jump by Rihanna to the station which made me happy as can be. I still listen wholeheartedly because where else can I blast CENTURIES into my ears? ;)
Pales to iPhone Podcasts
by TJTackleberry on 2019/06/07 19:46
Just tried the podcast function on this app and noticed a disappointing feature - when I shut off the car stereo or switch to the radio (in the car stereo) and come back to the podcast, the stereo starts playing default music from the iPod. Yet when I use the Podcast feature by iPhone or am playing music from the iPod and do the same thing, when I come back it picks up exactly where I left off with me not having to do anything. For the podcast function in iHeartRadio, I’ve got to reopen the app and select it manually. Not the best option when our state just passed a very restrictive law on cell phone usage in vehicles. There’s a button on my steering wheel that I just have to hit until I get to what output I want and don’t have to touch the phone. iHeart podcast app does not allow me to use this simple hands-free feature.

I love it. Amy is my favorite. I drive all day starting 430 am to 5 pm doing deliveries. I listen all day, Monday thru Friday. The local host lean a little left, but they always give the other side. They are fair. I listen to RUSH, Tom Sullivan and the Sheriff. And then Kitty takes me home. You have a great staff. Your news is informative and accurate. The CBS affiliate reporter sometimes is not. Your station will correct that immediately. I appreciate this station because they don’t try to sway my opinion. I appreciate all the hosts and like your line up. Of course RUSH is right leaning, Tom is middle of the road and the sheriff puts the topic as it applies to the law. I like that. I don’t care for his “deputy “ fill in host and miss the sheriff when he is gone. Love all of you. Keep up the good work!!
Use it all the time, but .....
by podcasterrrrrr on 2019/12/31 13:20
I am using this daily for podcasts that I follow. The functionality is nice. The coverage of content is awesome. No complaints on what the ap brings to the table. Two things that bother me, the first is the consistency. A lot of the podcasts become “unavailable” & can’t be accessed. I suspect that’s not always iHeart’s fault, but causes a lot of frustration. Number 2 is the ads. Ok, I could pay to get rid of them, but I won’t. I don’t have a problem that they are there, but there has to be more variety. They repeat the same three every break & the video that you’re forced to get through is the same two for months. There needs to be a better mix. Frequency (and timing) is annoying, but I get it. Just get a good bunch of ads and don’t play the same ones over and over and over. I’m really starting to hate Flo.
Better Than Radio
by Alphadogtucker on 2018/01/25 18:39
I use this app every day. You can “create” “stations” that play music similar to your choice such as a band or style, although choices off the mainstrsam can be very limited. For example, if you choose Taiko, it won’t be long before Zaideco or Euro muzac is playing. IHR has a great selection of AM and FM radio stations. Great for listening to the news back home or that talk radio program that doesn’t play in your area. The trade-off here is the repetitive, ear-grating PSAs and ads that they play over the stations’ ads. If I could, I would pay the subscription price just to get rid of those awful PSAs. Don’t forget podcasts. IHR has a great collection with many categories. I listen to several about business and career skills. My favorites, though, are Ben Shapiro and Wretched Radio. Shapiro is a sharp political commentator who examines all sides and does not let party loyalty or ideology get in the way. Wretched Radio keeps you aware of movements and deviations from biblical Christianity but without the judgmentalism (except where it’s been earned). There are so many choices, it’s impossible to keep up. And you don’t have problems with interference or fading, as long as you have a good Internet connection.

I love iHeartRadio!!! I listen to it everyday! I think it’s the best app to listen to music to or hear the radio! I don’t think any other app would be better than this one!!!😁👍 I just have one problem, I don’t really like that the non-premium have only a about of skips. I totally understand why, because it would want to put your customers onto premium. But I would add a thing for the non-premium’s an add thing. If they watch a add they can automatically get one skip to use. In my opinion I think that’s a great idea but it’s up to u guys. I still will always use iHeartRadio! I just think that would be a good idea for the people that do have only a certain amount of skips. I hope u like my idea and maybe use!😄😁👍
it's not as grand as it was
by Allanah M. on 2018/04/11 20:30
The principal of it was splendid. The last update that I’ve done completely changed the look. The look is nothing. Nothing compared to how it works which has changed dramatically. I can’t access my saved stations. Saved not meaning my favorites as they were different on purpose. The app now starts off playing the last station and if I want to change the station I have to go through my now limited ability to see stations to do so. Clicking on it doesn’t change it instantly anymore and it takes ages for it to load a list I personally don’t care for and change the station. It’s overly complex for no reason. Having a list is fine after you’ve started my saved station or if it was a new station for me to see what would be on it. I throughly dislike it, and I forgot why I didn’t update it. I will go through iTunes and undo the update.

Very disappointed.

by dgxhubbard on 2020/01/23 02:40
I listen to an show on wisn podcast and Hannity. However I stopped listening to Hannity on iheart because they run nbc news which goes out of its way to trash trump. Play news that matches the category which is conservative. If I wanted to listen to liberal content I would choose that.

No more local radio, uninstalling!
by Jparmurr on 2020/01/18 13:49
I will no longer listen to or support iHeartRadio due to the 2020 “Black Tuesday” gutting of local radio and the classless way in which it was handled. Used to wake up in the mornings to local news talk and listen throughout the day, no more! Now it’s a bunch of syndicated national one-size-fits-all crap. IHeartRadio has completely violated the public trust and is no longer providing a local presence, news, or talk over the airwaves (which the public owns). IHeartRadio is a black hole, I’m out.

by Perfectly !mperfect on 2020/01/17 18:15

Not sure if it’s the radio station itself not working but I will be deleting this app because there is no point in downloading it!

Pausing
by Fahnnie on 2020/01/17 17:11
I’m new to iHeartRadio, but I like to listen to podcasts and live radio on it while I’m working.

Horrible!!

I know this is yelling into the void, but iHeartMedia sure screwed up by ousting probably more than just my local radio personalities.

I’ve had iHeartRadio for a very long time and I’ve noticed now I’m being charged for it?!? Without an notification.

Great app
by crc_06 on 2020/01/13 18:25
I love this app.
Dupped
by HaloFan239 on 2019/06/04 09:19
The app was great a few years ago and is fun on the desktop service since I last used it.

App Issue
by Fjohn52 on 2019/02/28 14:31
For the third time, the app has gotten me to sign up for the $5.99 monthly version when I didn’t intend to.
Best app ever
by qweffhvf on 2019/05/31 20:52
I see a lot of reviews that aren’t positive about this app, yet I say there is no problems!

And you don’t have problems with interference or fading, as long as you have a good Internet connection.
iHeartRadio
