I’m not too pleased to discover that the app pricing is much higher than searching in a regular web browser. My husband sitting next to me finding all these deals which are not coming up on the app for the same time period and location. Hold onto your wallets people, use a browser!

The deals are good but the app kept going backwards before I could get all of my info. in - took 4X! It also hasn’t kept record so of at least two of my bookings (the most expensive ones) and it failed to tell me there was a $50 parking fee at the hotel in Denver which put me way over budget.

I called and cancelled a hotel stay the day before the stay at 6 pm, the policy stated that I would be charged 1 night only... when I got my credit card statement they charged the full amount, I called to inform them and they said that I had not cancelled at all - yet found the request that I had made for the full refund due to their app having “technical issues” all afternoon so I could not cancel before 4 pm - Logic Alert- why would I request a full refund on a stay the day before it even started ... duh- Thieves!!! I’m going back to Booking.com- never had an issue with them I will Never use hotels.com again and will not recommend them It is not the money as much as the principal... they should not take advantage of travelers... I shouldn’t have to “babysit” & make sure that they did what they said they would & find out that they stole from me a month later when I saw it on my statement... then called to let them know that it had been charged by mistake - after 1.5 hours of waiting, being transferred, & waiting some more- they informed me that they would not issue a refund... I guess if you don’t write down the cancellation confirmation & your email spammed it you are going to get robbed... Convenient for them to be able to omit the cancellation portion of calls and keep your funds... Scary

I use this app regularly to book rooms with prices ranging from $250/night and one price as low as $93. I now have 4 free nights available. One for about $130 (they state is my avg nightly stay) and the other 3 nights ranging from $33-$40! REALLY?!?! Don’t think I’ll be using this app again.

Since my husband enlisted into the military I’ve had to plan many trips, and I try to get deals on anything I buy, with hotels it’s no different. And I don’t want motels that are ran down. Hotels.com takes care of all of my needs with ease. When I started having to price match I would even check other sites like this and they still had better options all the way around, so Hotels.com is my go to. The app is great so I can browse and book easily. Highly recommend and will continue using.

When I arrived in Moscow at 11 o’clock in the evening they gave me problems concerning the reservation because hotels.com never sent them the reservation. Also they kept us on the phone for an hour and a half until over till 12:30 in the evening when I had a granddaughter crying and wanting to go to bed. Also I used 10 hotels and went to redeem it the next day and it expired and they did not honor that.

On the phone app I’m trying to book and it won’t pull up my rewards. I had free nights and I can’t use them now. It’s asking me to create a new password. The app shows it logged in but freezes when I try to pull up my rewards.

Update: I posted this review many months ago. No response from the developers. But it seems like I need to log in every time I blink. “We’ve logged you out....”. VERY frustrating. PLEASE enable Touch ID, or at least allow the app to remember me so I don’t have to log on every time. It’s not like someone is going to hack into my Hotels.com account and book a hotel. If someone did, couldn’t the police just meet them at the hotel and arrest them?

There was an incident in Hong Kong that cause my trip to cancel and I explained the situation and request to cancel my non refundable reservation. Hotel.com claimed that the hotel rejected the refund. So I called the hotel and explain the reason then the hotel accepted my cancellation without penalty and advised me to continue the cancellation process with hotel.com. I called hotel.com, they claimed that they have to wait for the hotel. I waiting and received another email from the hotel that no one has contacted them on the cancellation. I called hotel.com and the operator said she is just the call center and don’t do follow up. Hotel.com customer service is so far the worst I have experienced compare to other travel app. I would suggest to everyone to prevent using hotel.com

By far the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced and 2 managers are the blame. And the man who called me back I felt was making fun of my situation. I wanted to book only a night stay and somehow bought 4. They claimed to contact the hotel, employee and manager. They pretty much said nothing can be done. money is lost and they seemed to sympathize with me losing my money. I contacted the hotel and easy as pie they reversed all of the days I was staying there previous day and it was very uncomfortable and did not want to be there another night. When Hotels. Com called me back they said I would get a refund 1/2 of the cost of 4 days because 1 day was a special deal. I can’t even believe what I heard. Seriously people the way that I was treated in this situation if at my business anyone was ever treated in this manner they would be looking for a new job. Way to find a legal way to be a thief and try to leave a customer in a very uncomfortable situation Hotels.com thanks for nothing and topping it off with stealing from me.

This app urgently needs to show up which hotel has a free shuttle bus from airport (IST) ? It is very hard for customers to get transportation in Turkey ? Most of the people are very rude and don’t accept to speak with them in English ( we cannot speak Turkish though!

Let me book a reservation after the hotel was closed. Wasted my night. Ended up sleeping in a parking lot. Terrible experience with customer service. Was on hold for 30 minutes and then got yelled at by the representative after they dropped my call. Unreal. Terrible company.

Navigating the app is intuitive. The reviews are well categorized and let you get a quick overview of guest opinions, sorted by most recent. Using the map to search options and see prices quickly feels like exactly how I want to search. Lots of images of the properties, and amenities list is well-curated and maintained.

The hotels.com App just makes it so simple. Especially when you need a room for the same night. I think it’s the only App were you can still reserve a room after midnight for that same night.

The pictures on the website are a complete lie! They only show the nicest parts and are not the full deal. When I got to the hotel, I was completely shocked. It was dirty, and sketchy, nothing like the pictures. I called and they said they couldn’t refund any of it. I booked it for two nights, and when I called they said there was nothing that could be done. The second one night couldn’t even be cancelled. She said there was no way around it and that the full price was still in place. I asked to speak to the supervisor and he said he could only refund the second night. Horrible experience.

My hotel reservation was cancelled unexpectedly the day after I made a reservation (I didn’t cancel it) but their customer service showed it came from my account. I wanted to reinstate the reservation, but was told to work it out with the hotel. The hotel indicated they had to go through the third party (hotels.com). I ended up working with the hotel to make another refundable reservation until they received an email from hotels.com asking for a refund. Hotels.com customer service did the bare minimum and they weren’t very helpful in determining what happened with my account (jacked, issue on their end?). The experience took 2 hours and 4 phone calls and it’s still not completely resolved. I would recommend using a service like Orbitz or Priceline to compare hotels and then do business directly with the hotel unless you’re bundling other accommodations such as flights. There are too many other competent companies in this space to deal with lackluster customer support.

I can’t stress this enough, hotels.com is the best. They are easy to use, make it so you can book now pay later almost a year in advance which I always use. The rewards programs is AMAZING I get better deals than an employee from marriot sometimes🤪🤪

I really love Hotels.com vs its competitors because I sometimes save more (sometimes I don’t) but I like racking up the free nights. However what I dislike about the app is sometimes I want to plan my vacation or mini getaway around the pricing of nights. Expedia does a wonderful job at this. They have the price of each night in the whole month. That’s very helpful to me when I’m looking to save money. Especially when I can make the calls on when I want to stay.

After thousands of dollars paid to “earn” a free night I tried to pay the remaining balance over 2 cards (1 gift card) the remaining balance on my credit card and was unable to do so because they only accept one form of payment! This is unacceptable and when I called to talk to a supervisor, who was unable to help. I asked to talk to his boss who in return hung up on me not once but twice. I will never for the rest of my life, use hotels.com again.

They booked me an available room in the middle of the woods. The room was not available. They did not help accommodate us and offered only $25 as help. I spent three hours driving to the destination. I spent another six hours trying to find an actual place to stay and was no where near where I originally was booking. RUN AWAY!!! Or use the app and be put out.

Extremely Exhausted trying to contact Customer Service, the app states “click” here for Service but it does Nothing! Unable to talk to anyone! Reason I’m trying to call, tried booking and paying with Free Night Earned, only to lose the Free Night after transferring over to PayPal Someone Please Contact Me

I had an issue in Galveston when we booked a pricier hotel so we could get hotel parking while we were on a cruise. Lady I booked with said we paid the extra amount for parking. Great, that’s what we wanted. When we checked in, the lady at the registration desk told us, if we want cruise parking it would be $50.00. I called Hotels.com and was on hold forever and he finally said he would need to listen to the reservation recording and get back with me. That was in November, still nothing. Haven’t used them since and won’t ever again.

I really liked hotels.com and felt that their communication was top-notch. As of late their app has failed me precipitously! I was charged for 3 nights when I stayed one night. I paid the higher fee to cancel or change is your reservation if needed. When I change the reservation through the app I was confident that the request was granted. When I got to the hotel they had no information from Hotels.com and now hotels.com is rejecting my claim to be reimbursed for The night we did not stay at hotel. I’ve contacted my credit card company and I’m disputing this charge. I have flown all over the world and use them in many European cities. My confidence in there Service has been squelched.

Fabulous! It’s a very cold day but warm here! A heater, heated towel rack, electric blankets - just a few of the details you don’t see online. The colors and fabrics are soft, luxurious and soothing, all the appliances are sparkling and new- birds are singing outside and I have a view of the city and a balcony. And a flat screen tv and stereo. It’s so nice! Great shower and comfy bed.

Great app. Easy to use. My only complaint is that if you want to change your booking to a different hotel, you can’t do it online - even if you have a fully refundable booking. My experience was I was required to call customer service. When I called, for the new hotel I wanted to book they were showing a substantially higher rate than what I was seeing on the app. So I opted to do it myself online by just canceling the original booking and re-booking it at the better rate. It would be easier if I could just have an option to change my booking without all the machinations of cancellation and rebooking. If I must call customer service, then surely they should offer me the same prices that I see online, not higher prices. Anyway, apart from that, great app!

I am 20 years old so booking a hotel is quite difficult since most places you have to be 21+. I like how in this app it tells you the min booking age. I go to book a 18+ hotel, everything is paid for, I drive 10 hours to the hotel, go to go check in and the min check in age is actually 21+ when it clearly stated on the app it’s 18+. I call customer support and it took 3 hours. The rep said he couldn’t find anything. I only talked to this guy maybe 30 mins out of the whole 3 hours. The rest of the time I was on hold. During this time I had time to drive around, get a coffee, look up another hotel that was walking distance of the one that I couldn’t check in to, call them and ask if they take 20 year olds, got it confirmed, and was still on hold. The guy said he couldn’t find one thing. So I told him I found something and that took forever to book. I check in to the hotel and the woman behind the desk says the same guy I worked with was not professional with her either and kept making her hold too! He told me there was only 1 room available, which happened to be a downgrade of what I had booked before. But when I go on the app to see what was available there was a room equal value to what I had originally purchased. So I wonder if he lied to me or if the app did again. Regardless I will never use this horrible garbage app again.

Trying to talk to customer service has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. I called in four separate times because twice the agent hung up on me when they didn’t understand my question instead of just telling me they didn’t know, after taking several minutes for me to have to spell out my email. The third time the girl had someone in the background telling her how to reply to me (I’m assuming she was in training) but then she said she needed my user ID, and when I asked where I could find that on either the app or website they couldn’t tell me. I said “okay, well that’s no problem but can you just tell me if it’s possible to get instant gold status like you advertise online?” I was told they could not answer that question for security reasons...lol!!! The fourth time I called and asked how to get instant gold status the guy responded with variations of “Do you need to book a hotel?” ????? Will never book another hotel through this company because I can only imagine the nightmare of calling in if something went wrong. Do yourself a huge favor and book through the major chains’ apps, as they will always be cheaper. The only way apps like this or Expedia is cheaper is on local, non-chain places.

I had reserved a room for 2 nights, just in case I needed the 2nd night. It is currently 10 days until check in. Tried to modify it on the website, I couldn’t because there was no room available. Umm, what? Called and I talked to someone. She stated that there were no rooms available to make the change. I wasn’t trying to add a room or a night. I was trying to get rid of one. She offered to call the hotel to see if they could modify the reservation. She came back on the line to tell me that they were unable to change it. Something wasn’t sitting right. She kept wanting me to either change hotels or cancel my entire reservation. I ended up calling the hotel directly and spoke to the same woman that the woman from hotels spoke to. She immediately told me that there were rooms available and that she could have changed the status. I ended up directly booking with the hotel, for less money than through hotels, and canceling my booking through hotels. I’m sorry, but I am not going to pay an extra $250 because hotels didn’t want to help. Awful customer service!!!! Will not be using again!

You want people to right reviews as you request them quite frequently. It would be nice if the App does not reset in the middle of writing a review. I I leave the app to check a picture or to get/confirm a detail on my review everything O types and even the selections I made are all gone. This is very irritating and makes people not want to start over. You are actually causing people to not want to leave a review because all the details they have typed are lost. What happens when your 99% done giving a ton of detail and some one called you. All your hard work is now gone. Fixing this EXTREMELY IRRITATING problem should be addressed immediately. I even tried to make a review during down town when waiting to board, sitting on a train, etc and it would be nice for my info to remain so that I can review and continue later. Again everything disappears you really have to fix this problem. Trust me your rate of receiving reviews will go up substantially!!!

Pricing is higher than actual hotel listing and other listings on web. So the “free nights” that are part of the your rewards is being paid for over the ten bookings. I find that very disappointing. There is no filter for two beds. Just two people so every time I go to a hotel I have to continue to click and search to make sure I’m getting a room with two beds. Every time you click on a hotel to look At the details and then inevitably go back to map because it isn’t what you need the map reloads. Making it very difficult to differentiate the hotels already looked at to those that you haven’t. If I focus on on an area it should stay in that area.

As of right now I am very frustrated with the app. I have signed up, reserved a hotel, I have a confirmation number, and everything I need. However, when I try to login to the app, it won’t let me. I have tried every possible email or password it could possibly be, and none of them work. Including the one I booked my room with. It has somehow magically disappeared. I can however type in my last name, and confirmation number, and everything pops up. But even in that area, I cannot find any information as to what they have me signed in under. After looking through all of the options trying to figure this out, I found the customer service section. It is an absolute waste of time. There is no where I can find that will give me a place to either email, or a phone number to call, and speak with someone. So as of right now, I am going to give this one star because I need customer service and apparently I can’t get it. Other than that, the booking went smooth.

The lack of customer service I received was horrendous. I booked a hotel and chose the "pay at hotel" option. The fine print on this site was I would be charged the day I checked into my hotel, which was going to cost me $233 a night not including their taxes or fees. I went ahead and booked it, was excited and had it all planned out. 3 days before my check in, I got charged $233. This put my account NEGATIVE OVER $200 b/c I didn't have the funds in there yet! I called cust. service to see what happened and the Rep told me since it was V-day weekend it was charged 72 hours early? That was NOT disclosed or on the page. She pretty much told me too bad so sad and when I was trying to figure out a solution b/c I literally did not have the funds in my account and they charged my card without authorization for that certain date. She kept interrupting and talking over me saying "I'll cancel your booking I'll cancel your booking." THERES NO REFUNDS WHEN YOU CANCEL ANYWAYS! Will never use again. They mess up, they don't help. You're SOL.

Have used this app in past with better results. Latest attempt found it reasonably easy to book and pay with Apple Pay, BUT, was unable to transfer the reservation ‘card’ into wallet even with multiple attempts. Called and was told it was because I hadn’t signed into app. (No problems in past and doubt I was signed in then.) Had reservation cancelled (As suggested) and rebooked after signing in, as suggested. Still unable to make transfer. So, now have part of reservations for upcoming trip in Wallet and part not, essentially defeating purpose of Wallet. Further, some of previous trip stays are in old results, but most not. Of reservations for upcoming trip made previously, none were listed in the app. When searched for, got very erratic results. It appears the app has been improved to the point it’s no good anymore.

Used this app 4 times in the span of a couple weeks. Once for my bachelorette party, wedding night, and an impromptu stay post-honeymoon. The fourth was me booking a hotel room for my sister in the limo bus on the way to the wedding because she decided she wasn’t going to want to drive home. So easy to find the best price for the kind of stay you’re looking for whether it’s just a quick place to sleep, or looking for more of a luxury experience. The more you book the more you earn in points too so definitely would recommend for people who travel often, I’ve probably saved hundreds just in the last couple weeks. Love this app.

I spend a bunch of time in upstate and downstate New York. I use hotels because I like getting the free night every ten. And they keep me loyal because of it. But when I do a search on the app and find hotels, I am noticing I do not always get shown ALL of the possible hotels available. However, when I perform a google query for hotels near the same landmark, many more options appear. Then I think well they are just not listed on hotels. But then when I look, there it is along with all the others. And when I click through google on the hotels option, it brings me to my date and time for a closer hotel than the one I got handed when I did the search through the hotels app. Then stupid me I book it at hotels even though they did me wrong. This is the last time. If I get burned again, I am using my free night I earned and ditching hotels forever.

Only two stars because of two things. They won’t let the app connect to their server using a vpn. Very baddd. They want us to disable our protection to use the app. Second, it seems that these guys book for foreign owners. Ran into a belligerent and rude one using this app and he verbally assaulted me. He almost didnt get to see the sun set. I was that upset. He was immediately rude and treated me as though he was doing me a favor at the front counter. He was a punk. Red Roof in. Springfield, MO. I filed a complaint with hotel dot com and cancelled the deal. They also acknowledged the cancellation and promptly refunded my money but for some reason they still thought I stayed at the Hotel. I was happy with their service until I got the notice that they still showed me staying there after I cancelled. So I’m confused. I did not stay there as I might have regretted it. So??

1) They don’t bother to tell you that when you book a flight + hotel package that you will not get *any* rewards (I only learned this after FOUR calls totally nearly two hours of my time!). 2) All of the customer service reps that I’ve spoken to in the last year have *extremely* thick accents, making it difficult to understand what they are saying. 3) If they don’t want to speak with you anymore they will put you on hold for exceptionally long periods of time (there is no sound or background music but you are still on hold). As an “insider” revealed to me, This is because it is documented when they disconnect the call but it is not documented when you disconnect the call, so it they are just trying to get you to hang up. If you wait long enough, though, they will eventually hang up on you. 4) One manager was very nasty. While I was asking him a question about why my rewards had not been applied he said We can talk about this until the middle of next week but it won’t change the outcome.” We had been speaking for less than a minute so he onviously uses that line all the time. That’s the kind of absolutely terrible customer service that you can look forward to. Account deactivated; app deleted. Deuces!

My husband and I are traveling to Japan this summer. Needed 4 separate hotels as we are traveling around. I found just what I wanted with the information the app provided about room size, fridges in rooms, English speaking front desk, breakfast, and laundry availability. Easily switched from info to map view so I could find something close to train stations. Once I picked the hotels I wanted booking was a breeze. They say it takes 2 minutes to book and they’re spot on! Even found great bargains once I unlocked special prices by logging into my account on the app. Would recommend to anyone who travels in the US or abroad.

I booked hotels in this site before and had no problems so I get a email saying that I unlocked special prices so when I look at the hotels I find this one that was 67 a night so I book the hotel I drive hours too get to the hotel with my children for a weekend out for my daughters birthday. So when I get to the hotel to check they tell my the price was a lot more than what it was so the hotel tell me to call hotel so when I do they try telling me that was incorrect and that the price was 270. I was on the phone for 2 hours all for them to say sorry but didn't wanna help with the mistake they made. Never again

The option for a review pops up after it literally took 1.5 hours to book a room. I was looking for a 3 Star hotel with at least 4+ rating. The app showed dozens that fit, close enough for me to take it. However it kept saying that this room was no longer available. But when I would redo the search, the same not available hotels would pop up again. I have used this app dozens of times a year for the last 6 years, but in the last 3 months, something has changed and it’s very frustrating.

Booking and cancelling is easy, but trying to chat with their (very friendly and helpful) support team was difficult. When I left the app to check my confirmation number in my email everything reset and I lost my chat progress. After I went through the process of connecting to another support agent (with my confirmation numbered copied), I couldn’t paste it in the chat box. Also, sometimes the message box wouldn’t let me type anything, so I would have to hide the keyboard and reopen it to reply to a message. The main things I do in the app performed well, but when you already need support, every other little bump in the road seems 100x more annoying.

I have been trying to sign in for over two hours through the mobile app and will not let me. I finally had to go on to my laptop and secure a booking and I reset my password. After doing all of that I then went back to the app several times trying to sign in and it still tells me it does not recognize me email or password. Your team needs to make the mobile sign in easier like it is on the computer through email and not just the facebook option on the mobile app.

To start off, the price savings on this app are ridiculous! I literally saved $160 on here compared to the website. I was comparing the prices right next to each other on my phone. BUT, I wish they would fix their pictures. I had to go to Hyatt’s website to look at pictures of the rooms because they seem to use the same pictures for almost every room. Example... The Presidential Suite (highest price) had the same picture as the Guest Room King (cheapest). It was a bit misleading but I was able to get on the website and overcome it. Other than the pictures, this app is amazing! I will definitely use it again.

Booking interface is fine but after you are booked it's total CRAP! Open the homepage on login and tap the drop down list. Tapping every option pops up the same message about cancellation, including customer service option! Nothing opens anything but this same dumb message. Opened my reservation and all the info comes up in windows (not Windows) spread across several pages left to right. A map of location is there but it doesn't pop up on tapping, it's not interactive. Right now I am typing this in a window that scrolls down auto but cuts off the line I am typing...dumb! Map should be interactive so I don't have to load the location in another app as the most important part of the booking is GETTING THERE!!

We have always enjoyed this app and check it first for listings. However, on our trip that covered thirteen states this summer, we were never able to find a Holiday Inn Express. We always go with either those or Hampton Inn and Suites. We were able to find a few more nights with the “Hotels” app but there were a few nights when we couldn’t find any hotel that we knew was reliable - meaning clean with good beds so we ended up calling a few hotel chains directly when we were in a pinch. We still like the convenience of your app and so far will continue to check it first. But I thought you would want to be aware of what happened with our trip this year.

I am in a hotel in Kissimmee Florida, I got a room for 2 nights (not impressed neither is my nose or my back) for $147. When I checked in I was told that the rooms were all booked and he didn’t know why he hotel still showed/booked a “vacant” room. I ended up seeing a slip from EXPEDIA totaling $125 with taxes and fees. Hmmm. I could have booked that if I for one second thought I needed to price check. So, a hotel booking service using other booking services to re-sell? $22 charge for using them PLUS I had to pay a “refundable” $50 deposit that I won’t get back until I check out. BS! I want the difference back, plus a room that isn’t outdated, dirty, falling apart and at least doesn’t smell like horrible chemicals and rotting things.

You need to collect 10 nights to get 1 free night, which is fine. However, I have booked 3 different times staying 3 nights each time and never collected my “so called credits” to get my 1 free night. Called customer service and was told because I wasn’t signed in to the app, my nights don’t add up. Even though they have records of all my bookings. That was the first excuse for my first booking. Second excuse for my second booking, the hotel didn’t sign me in properly, so I don’t get credit for that stay either. Third excuse for third stay, customer service called and the computer made a mistake and the hotel didn’t have a room for me. So customer service found a different room for me. So, because I didn’t do my booking on the app, I don’t get credit for the stay. Bogus, bogus, bogus!!!!!!!!!!

I travel abroad often in China and I like to book hotels the same day I need them. I often check in to find the hotel has not received my booking. It’s a hassle and it happens frequently. Engineering this is a major fail. In terms of usability. Whenever I switch apps to look up credit card expire dates and cut and paste- the app refreshes as soon as you exit instead which forces you to redo the last search. Why cant the app store the expire date or at least store the reservation info when come back to paste the expire date into the form? UX team: Fix this ASAP.

Pros: Good prices, user friendly app, ratings are pretty accurate. Cons: I wish it would give you all the hotels in the specific city you select, and then ask if you would like to see hotels in surrounding cities. Unfortunately, this is very frustrating, especially when you’re new to the city and unsure about the distant between your hotel and your destination. Give me the option to select the surrounding cities for pricing. Stop intermixing them because it is very confusing. I booked a hotel that looked close to my destination and it ended up being 30 minutes away. Hence, I was very late to my destination.

I arrived in Italy, lost and low key trying to stay calm. I arrive at my reservation and the door was locked. So I found a new place to stay and while I was at my new place a representative called me and said they were trying to reach me all day because my hotel I had originally booked was undergoing emergency maintenance. I told them I had to get a new room but I still needed a place to stay the day after that. They called back and comped me a free room and set me up with a different hotel reservation! Saved my life! Great customer service.

1. Simple, easy, intuitive interface 2. Easy to use filters 3. Filters options surpass other apps 4. Enables user to user to search an area vs only a specific city or town which is helpful when price is a consideration 5. helpful, receptive, and available help desk that actually listens to the end user and wants to user a positive experience...I actually had them make a bad situation right by making sure they did a spot inspection at a property and they gave me a credit to use in the future which was a very fair amount based on the issues.

I used the hotels app to book rooms daily for a recent 2 week vacation. In general the variety and reviews are great and helpful. The booking of rooms was quick and easy. We were traveling from CT to FL then to TN and back to CT. In the evening we would figure about how far we would travel the following day and book an appropriate room. In doing this, one night I booked a room with the cost of $109. - not refundable. The next morning I looked an found the same room in the same hotel booking at $79. This was very disconcerting. I will in the future hold off booking and take my chance🥴. Very disappointed!
Rewards program is garbage!

Unless you travel frequently, the rewards program is worthless. You lose all your points if you don’t book within 361 days of the last time you booked. It gives a date, but since it takes 3 days for a point to post, booking close to the expiration date won’t help unless it’s more than three days out. They won’t grant extensions, either, just tell you, “policy, policy, policy”. Neat trick to avoid having to actually give free nights. You are better off joining the rewards program of your credit card company or a preferred chain of hotels than using this intermediary. Also, the customer service line was aggravating as all get out. After the annoying fake keyboard clattering that a lot of phone banks like to use now to disguise that it’s mostly robots, you’ll get an *obviously-foreign* call-taker who ISN’T HELPFUL AT ALL. Again, they’ll just tell you that “policy” says they can’t do something even remotely outside what the computer says. You’ll go in circles that way until you give up. Again, just join the rewards program of your favorite hotel company or companies and use Kayak to price search. Ignore this app.

It’s like money in the bank. Every time you complete a booking, that night goes in to figure your average spent. After 10 nights, that average equals a free night. The more you spend, the better your average and then use it for a free night. If you ever have a problem because the hotel has overbooked, just call them up and they will help you to find another room. There is also a Pay now or pay later option that is so useful. If you don’t have the money yet to pay, then at least you can still lock it in so that you have the peace of mind that you have a room. You can always cancel the room if change your mind. The rates are always cheaper than if you book direct with the hotel... You can search for a specific hotel or something close to a certain address...or you can search by map and see them all and how much they cost. It’s wonderful.

I tried to book a king bed at Hotel Preston. Your site showed one left on the app. Actually it still shows one left in the app. However, I completed all of the reservation information just to find that the room is not available. How can that be? That’s false advertising at its best. I just checked again and the app still states there is one king room available during our requested dates. Now I’ve had to pay more money for two beds rather than the king I was requesting. I’ve been a loyal customer for over a year and I can promise. You won’t be my first choice when booking our next four scheduled trips again.

I have been using. This app forever, lately it’s been glitching out. Tried to book a room and they charged my card twice and didn’t book a room. I get it, glitches hope , but when I called customer service “Michelle” was not helpful. She just kept reading a script saying I’m not seeing a reservation even though I had already explained I didn’t have one however my card was charged twice. She wouldn’t book the room and said she couldn’t refund my money since I didn’t have a reservation despite me giving her the transaction numbers from my card. She just get talking over me and explained that she could keep running the card, and I wouldn’t do that since I paid twice!!! I will be calling my bank Monday and alerting the BBB of fraud.

Stopover on route to Florida. Chose this location because it’s roughly 1/2 way from home to final destination. Clean room, small but OK pool, photo showed an armchair in the room which I wanted after a long drive, but there was none. Bummer. Reception staff searched other rooms for a chair, but no luck. Very helpful. A/C blows behind the drapes, so make sure you have something to put on the windowsill to keep the cool air in the room. These minor glitches aren’t stopping me from booking this location on the way home. Easy on/off of 95. Breakfast was served too late for me, but I was able to get a muffin and coffee for the road.

Cancelling our account because the rewards application failed over and over. I even got notifications that I earned a free night like I am signed up. However I Can’t apply it because I’m not signed up. Customer service says there’s nothing they can do about it. Sign up again, over 20 nights, nothing free- before giving up, I call customer service and she actually says ok well it’s your choice see ya. She didn’t even try to apologize. Didn’t even offer to try to make it up. Again, Not sorry, what can we do to make it right, nothing.

Been using this app a long time. Because I have never been able to consistently use a single chain due to where I travel (such as Marriott) to collect points, this site is great. For every ten nights, you get a free night. Choices are almost as wide as any hotel, motel and even inns and bed and breakfasts, available in a location are on the list. When you redeem the night, you get the average of what you spent over the previous ten nights. Easy and fair and no restrictions.

Booked a 2 night stay. Everything on the app said it had a fridge and microwave in the room. Got to the room and found out that it didn’t because that was an extra charge. Call customer service and no matter what I said about the app screens their web session thing said no mistakes was made on their end. Oh really!? So just because the banner on the top of the screen says I’m getting a room with a fridge and microwave it’s not your screwup when that’s not what I get? Well thanks for not upgrading my stay or finding me a place that had a fridge and microwave. I’ll be booking my stays with someone else from now on. I work out of town 364 days a year. If you don’t care about your patrons than I hope you close down.

I have booked several nights over the last few years and was almost to the point of receiving a free night. I was notified that if my points weren’t used by a certain date then they would be lost. As a person who doesn’t get to travel at the drop of a hat, I wasn’t able to use them in any way by the deadline. While I understand the policy, there should be some provision for people who don’t travel as much for whatever reason. Therefore this app has been of zero benefit to me while making you guys money off my travel. I am not asking for anything, but I will NOT be using you again. Serves me no purpose to go through you so you can benefit when I don’t. If there was less than one star I would wholeheartedly give it to you. Good day.

I have used this app for quite a while and have just become aware that they do not necessarily charge the lowest available rate at time of stay and do not adjust the amount prepaid unless you tell them before your stay. I trusted that they were giving the lowest price available at time of stay but that isn’t the case. The hotel erringly billed me for a stay I had reserved/paid for months before. The difference in what the hotel actually charged and the amount I had paid thru this app was $108. I called and was told they do not match the lower price unless you tell them before you arrive. Nice, huh? Deeply disappointed in this company. PLEASE BE AWARE and recheck prices before you go.

Very convenient, especially from smartphone app, except when you book reservations, app doesn’t update & allow user to access confirmation info for several to many hours. This is a longstanding problem that I’ve complained about before. Also, when your “on file” credit card expires, app won’t allow you to provide new number, the only option for this being the internet, with the navigation process to do this cumbersome on a computer & next to impossible via a smartphone internet app!

I have made several bookings on this site. My bookings have had zero complications- every arrival was speedy. I’ve also had two cancellations which have been job related, last minute changes made to my work schedule. I’ve paid through Paypal and received total refunds back into my checking acct within 24 hours. I trust the info, as far as lowest price etc, as I’ve used other sites to search all the options. Saves me time to use the app- learned it’s very reliable

The place is clean and everything works just fine as you would expect at the quality hotel like this. However, the staff here exceptionally well trained and kind and professional. Jaime is who we really look forward to see in the dining area whenever we have their buffet breakfast. He takes Service and hospitality and kindness and delivers it with a love that is the most valuable way to start your day. We come for a conference that is in the hotel next-door but we prefer staying here.

When this app works, it is seamless and fantastic. When it doesn’t, it is a nightmare. I have had multiple bad experiences recently when they had booked a hotel that was already sold out. When you get there, you cannot get a room and you have the lowest priority because it’s through a third party. They need to get that aspect of their service improved greatly. When it does work, it is excellent. You get great options and you can shop for comparable hotels easily.

This app makes it easy to navigate around by list and by map to find the right hotel in the area I'm looking. It keeps old searches, which makes it easy for me to come back at a later date to finish looking through the local hotels. I've found that the information listed on the app has matched every hotel I've stayed at using the app, which makes it easy to trust if I have specific needs for any specific trip.

This app screwed me over and I have to jump through hoops to fix it. Tried booking a room and it told me the room wasn’t available, so i booked a new room. And now I’ve been charged for both. I’m out of the country so I cannot call and there’s basically no other way to get any sort of customer service. Somehow managed to find a “chat” with them, and they are now telling me it’s up to the hotel whether or not I can cancel the first booking. Still waiting to hear. But meanwhile the money is out of my account while I’m traveling and needing these funds. You guys need a better way to get a hold of customer service for travelers. This is ridiculous. Your app glitched out.
BEWARE smoking room rates

This app worked well and I didn't have any problems until I got there and found out that I had a smoking room. Nowhere was it apparent that the rate it was selling me was for a smoking room. This in information that should be eliminated with a simple button at the Very beginning. "Do you want a smoking room. Yes/No" Then your reservation information should have this information highlighted, on its own line. A person shouldn't have to search all the fine print to find this out. All of the other booking information is easily identifiable, but this piece is very important and not given the proper weight.

While many reservations offer free cancellations, they fail to explain any changes or modifications require a complete void of the initial payment and a rebooking which is often a much higher price due to dates being closer to the travel time. I asked to just take off the last day of my 3 day booking so we could only stay 2 nights instead of 3 and instead of being to keep my initial reservation for the first two nights, they stated they had to cancel the entire purchase and charge me an additional 150 dollars for only two nights because the prices went up. This prevents any changes from being made regardless of free of cancellation. BEWARE.

Centrally located. Lots of ethnic restaurants around. Large shopping place, Century Mall, big and small breakfast and drinking places. Transportation (local) friendly. The staff friendly enough. Drawback is there is not much help to get to your room. Room is very basic but very clean. No room phone but there is one in every elevator area to call desk if you need anything. There is a coffee shop in the hotel also available and serves food all day. For the secret price, hey! Its not bad at all!🙃PS. Bedsheets clean so are the towels! Another bonus for the price! Noise? What do you expect, its in the city center!

This App is the bomb. I always get great rates for me and my kids to stay at local hotels. As I have been without a home for a while now saving money is a top priority. Being with my kids is right up there to. So I’m happy to find this App works for me all the time. I did fine it better to book a weekend stay before Wednesday to get a better price. I have never been upset with the choices that I’m given. I totally recommend this App and will continue to use it.

I can’t really complain that much as it is less than 25 minutes to Charlotte or Ballantyne the more exciting places. The price is alright. No cleaning for 14 days. So you kinda have to clean a little bit. No plates, no cups no saucepans. The nearest Walmart is only 11 minutes away. Elevation church is just opposite the hotel so you can walk there. It’s right on the highway so directions are confusing sometimes. Not as easy as you think even with GPS. Sometimes there’s some noise but it dies out. If you have a dog, welcome! The Landry machines and dryers use credit cards.

The deals are good but the app kept going backwards before I could get all of my info. in - took 4X! It also hasn’t kept record so of at least two of my bookings (the most expensive ones) and it failed to tell me there was a $50 parking fee at the hotel in Denver which put me way over budget.

I called and cancelled a hotel stay the day before the stay at 6 pm, the policy stated that I would be charged 1 night only... when I got my credit card statement they charged the full amount, I called to inform them and they said that I had not cancelled at all - yet found the request that I had made for the full refund due to their app having “technical issues” all afternoon so I could not cancel before 4 pm - Logic Alert- why would I request a full refund on a stay the day before it even started ... duh- Thieves!!! I’m going back to Booking.com- never had an issue with them I will Never use hotels.com again and will not recommend them It is not the money as much as the principal... they should not take advantage of travelers... I shouldn’t have to “babysit” & make sure that they did what they said they would & find out that they stole from me a month later when I saw it on my statement... then called to let them know that it had been charged by mistake - after 1.5 hours of waiting, being transferred, & waiting some more- they informed me that they would not issue a refund... I guess if you don’t write down the cancellation confirmation & your email spammed it you are going to get robbed... Convenient for them to be able to omit the cancellation portion of calls and keep your funds... Scary

I use this app regularly to book rooms with prices ranging from $250/night and one price as low as $93. I now have 4 free nights available. One for about $130 (they state is my avg nightly stay) and the other 3 nights ranging from $33-$40! REALLY?!?! Don’t think I’ll be using this app again.

Since my husband enlisted into the military I’ve had to plan many trips, and I try to get deals on anything I buy, with hotels it’s no different. And I don’t want motels that are ran down. Hotels.com takes care of all of my needs with ease. When I started having to price match I would even check other sites like this and they still had better options all the way around, so Hotels.com is my go to. The app is great so I can browse and book easily. Highly recommend and will continue using.

When I arrived in Moscow at 11 o’clock in the evening they gave me problems concerning the reservation because hotels.com never sent them the reservation. Also they kept us on the phone for an hour and a half until over till 12:30 in the evening when I had a granddaughter crying and wanting to go to bed. Also I used 10 hotels and went to redeem it the next day and it expired and they did not honor that.

On the phone app I’m trying to book and it won’t pull up my rewards. I had free nights and I can’t use them now. It’s asking me to create a new password. The app shows it logged in but freezes when I try to pull up my rewards.

Update: I posted this review many months ago. No response from the developers. But it seems like I need to log in every time I blink. “We’ve logged you out....”. VERY frustrating. PLEASE enable Touch ID, or at least allow the app to remember me so I don’t have to log on every time. It’s not like someone is going to hack into my Hotels.com account and book a hotel. If someone did, couldn’t the police just meet them at the hotel and arrest them?

There was an incident in Hong Kong that cause my trip to cancel and I explained the situation and request to cancel my non refundable reservation. Hotel.com claimed that the hotel rejected the refund. So I called the hotel and explain the reason then the hotel accepted my cancellation without penalty and advised me to continue the cancellation process with hotel.com. I called hotel.com, they claimed that they have to wait for the hotel. I waiting and received another email from the hotel that no one has contacted them on the cancellation. I called hotel.com and the operator said she is just the call center and don’t do follow up. Hotel.com customer service is so far the worst I have experienced compare to other travel app. I would suggest to everyone to prevent using hotel.com

By far the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced and 2 managers are the blame. And the man who called me back I felt was making fun of my situation. I wanted to book only a night stay and somehow bought 4. They claimed to contact the hotel, employee and manager. They pretty much said nothing can be done. money is lost and they seemed to sympathize with me losing my money. I contacted the hotel and easy as pie they reversed all of the days I was staying there previous day and it was very uncomfortable and did not want to be there another night. When Hotels. Com called me back they said I would get a refund 1/2 of the cost of 4 days because 1 day was a special deal. I can’t even believe what I heard. Seriously people the way that I was treated in this situation if at my business anyone was ever treated in this manner they would be looking for a new job. Way to find a legal way to be a thief and try to leave a customer in a very uncomfortable situation Hotels.com thanks for nothing and topping it off with stealing from me.

This app urgently needs to show up which hotel has a free shuttle bus from airport (IST) ? It is very hard for customers to get transportation in Turkey ? Most of the people are very rude and don’t accept to speak with them in English ( we cannot speak Turkish though!

Navigating the app is intuitive. The reviews are well categorized and let you get a quick overview of guest opinions, sorted by most recent. Using the map to search options and see prices quickly feels like exactly how I want to search. Lots of images of the properties, and amenities list is well-curated and maintained.

The pictures on the website are a complete lie! They only show the nicest parts and are not the full deal. When I got to the hotel, I was completely shocked. It was dirty, and sketchy, nothing like the pictures. I called and they said they couldn’t refund any of it. I booked it for two nights, and when I called they said there was nothing that could be done. The second one night couldn’t even be cancelled. She said there was no way around it and that the full price was still in place. I asked to speak to the supervisor and he said he could only refund the second night. Horrible experience.

My hotel reservation was cancelled unexpectedly the day after I made a reservation (I didn’t cancel it) but their customer service showed it came from my account. I wanted to reinstate the reservation, but was told to work it out with the hotel. The hotel indicated they had to go through the third party (hotels.com). I ended up working with the hotel to make another refundable reservation until they received an email from hotels.com asking for a refund. Hotels.com customer service did the bare minimum and they weren’t very helpful in determining what happened with my account (jacked, issue on their end?). The experience took 2 hours and 4 phone calls and it’s still not completely resolved. I would recommend using a service like Orbitz or Priceline to compare hotels and then do business directly with the hotel unless you’re bundling other accommodations such as flights. There are too many other competent companies in this space to deal with lackluster customer support.

I can’t stress this enough, hotels.com is the best. They are easy to use, make it so you can book now pay later almost a year in advance which I always use. The rewards programs is AMAZING I get better deals than an employee from marriot sometimes🤪🤪

I really love Hotels.com vs its competitors because I sometimes save more (sometimes I don’t) but I like racking up the free nights. However what I dislike about the app is sometimes I want to plan my vacation or mini getaway around the pricing of nights. Expedia does a wonderful job at this. They have the price of each night in the whole month. That’s very helpful to me when I’m looking to save money. Especially when I can make the calls on when I want to stay.

After thousands of dollars paid to “earn” a free night I tried to pay the remaining balance over 2 cards (1 gift card) the remaining balance on my credit card and was unable to do so because they only accept one form of payment! This is unacceptable and when I called to talk to a supervisor, who was unable to help. I asked to talk to his boss who in return hung up on me not once but twice. I will never for the rest of my life, use hotels.com again.

They booked me an available room in the middle of the woods. The room was not available. They did not help accommodate us and offered only $25 as help. I spent three hours driving to the destination. I spent another six hours trying to find an actual place to stay and was no where near where I originally was booking. RUN AWAY!!! Or use the app and be put out.

I had an issue in Galveston when we booked a pricier hotel so we could get hotel parking while we were on a cruise. Lady I booked with said we paid the extra amount for parking. Great, that’s what we wanted. When we checked in, the lady at the registration desk told us, if we want cruise parking it would be $50.00. I called Hotels.com and was on hold forever and he finally said he would need to listen to the reservation recording and get back with me. That was in November, still nothing. Haven’t used them since and won’t ever again.

I really liked hotels.com and felt that their communication was top-notch. As of late their app has failed me precipitously! I was charged for 3 nights when I stayed one night. I paid the higher fee to cancel or change is your reservation if needed. When I change the reservation through the app I was confident that the request was granted. When I got to the hotel they had no information from Hotels.com and now hotels.com is rejecting my claim to be reimbursed for The night we did not stay at hotel. I’ve contacted my credit card company and I’m disputing this charge. I have flown all over the world and use them in many European cities. My confidence in there Service has been squelched.

Fabulous! It’s a very cold day but warm here! A heater, heated towel rack, electric blankets - just a few of the details you don’t see online. The colors and fabrics are soft, luxurious and soothing, all the appliances are sparkling and new- birds are singing outside and I have a view of the city and a balcony. And a flat screen tv and stereo. It’s so nice! Great shower and comfy bed.

Great app. Easy to use. My only complaint is that if you want to change your booking to a different hotel, you can’t do it online - even if you have a fully refundable booking. My experience was I was required to call customer service. When I called, for the new hotel I wanted to book they were showing a substantially higher rate than what I was seeing on the app. So I opted to do it myself online by just canceling the original booking and re-booking it at the better rate. It would be easier if I could just have an option to change my booking without all the machinations of cancellation and rebooking. If I must call customer service, then surely they should offer me the same prices that I see online, not higher prices. Anyway, apart from that, great app!

I am 20 years old so booking a hotel is quite difficult since most places you have to be 21+. I like how in this app it tells you the min booking age. I go to book a 18+ hotel, everything is paid for, I drive 10 hours to the hotel, go to go check in and the min check in age is actually 21+ when it clearly stated on the app it’s 18+. I call customer support and it took 3 hours. The rep said he couldn’t find anything. I only talked to this guy maybe 30 mins out of the whole 3 hours. The rest of the time I was on hold. During this time I had time to drive around, get a coffee, look up another hotel that was walking distance of the one that I couldn’t check in to, call them and ask if they take 20 year olds, got it confirmed, and was still on hold. The guy said he couldn’t find one thing. So I told him I found something and that took forever to book. I check in to the hotel and the woman behind the desk says the same guy I worked with was not professional with her either and kept making her hold too! He told me there was only 1 room available, which happened to be a downgrade of what I had booked before. But when I go on the app to see what was available there was a room equal value to what I had originally purchased. So I wonder if he lied to me or if the app did again. Regardless I will never use this horrible garbage app again.

Trying to talk to customer service has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. I called in four separate times because twice the agent hung up on me when they didn’t understand my question instead of just telling me they didn’t know, after taking several minutes for me to have to spell out my email. The third time the girl had someone in the background telling her how to reply to me (I’m assuming she was in training) but then she said she needed my user ID, and when I asked where I could find that on either the app or website they couldn’t tell me. I said “okay, well that’s no problem but can you just tell me if it’s possible to get instant gold status like you advertise online?” I was told they could not answer that question for security reasons...lol!!! The fourth time I called and asked how to get instant gold status the guy responded with variations of “Do you need to book a hotel?” ????? Will never book another hotel through this company because I can only imagine the nightmare of calling in if something went wrong. Do yourself a huge favor and book through the major chains’ apps, as they will always be cheaper. The only way apps like this or Expedia is cheaper is on local, non-chain places.

I had reserved a room for 2 nights, just in case I needed the 2nd night. It is currently 10 days until check in. Tried to modify it on the website, I couldn’t because there was no room available. Umm, what? Called and I talked to someone. She stated that there were no rooms available to make the change. I wasn’t trying to add a room or a night. I was trying to get rid of one. She offered to call the hotel to see if they could modify the reservation. She came back on the line to tell me that they were unable to change it. Something wasn’t sitting right. She kept wanting me to either change hotels or cancel my entire reservation. I ended up calling the hotel directly and spoke to the same woman that the woman from hotels spoke to. She immediately told me that there were rooms available and that she could have changed the status. I ended up directly booking with the hotel, for less money than through hotels, and canceling my booking through hotels. I’m sorry, but I am not going to pay an extra $250 because hotels didn’t want to help. Awful customer service!!!! Will not be using again!

You want people to right reviews as you request them quite frequently. It would be nice if the App does not reset in the middle of writing a review. I I leave the app to check a picture or to get/confirm a detail on my review everything O types and even the selections I made are all gone. This is very irritating and makes people not want to start over. You are actually causing people to not want to leave a review because all the details they have typed are lost. What happens when your 99% done giving a ton of detail and some one called you. All your hard work is now gone. Fixing this EXTREMELY IRRITATING problem should be addressed immediately. I even tried to make a review during down town when waiting to board, sitting on a train, etc and it would be nice for my info to remain so that I can review and continue later. Again everything disappears you really have to fix this problem. Trust me your rate of receiving reviews will go up substantially!!!

Pricing is higher than actual hotel listing and other listings on web. So the “free nights” that are part of the your rewards is being paid for over the ten bookings. I find that very disappointing. There is no filter for two beds. Just two people so every time I go to a hotel I have to continue to click and search to make sure I’m getting a room with two beds. Every time you click on a hotel to look At the details and then inevitably go back to map because it isn’t what you need the map reloads. Making it very difficult to differentiate the hotels already looked at to those that you haven’t. If I focus on on an area it should stay in that area.

As of right now I am very frustrated with the app. I have signed up, reserved a hotel, I have a confirmation number, and everything I need. However, when I try to login to the app, it won’t let me. I have tried every possible email or password it could possibly be, and none of them work. Including the one I booked my room with. It has somehow magically disappeared. I can however type in my last name, and confirmation number, and everything pops up. But even in that area, I cannot find any information as to what they have me signed in under. After looking through all of the options trying to figure this out, I found the customer service section. It is an absolute waste of time. There is no where I can find that will give me a place to either email, or a phone number to call, and speak with someone. So as of right now, I am going to give this one star because I need customer service and apparently I can’t get it. Other than that, the booking went smooth.

The lack of customer service I received was horrendous. I booked a hotel and chose the "pay at hotel" option. The fine print on this site was I would be charged the day I checked into my hotel, which was going to cost me $233 a night not including their taxes or fees. I went ahead and booked it, was excited and had it all planned out. 3 days before my check in, I got charged $233. This put my account NEGATIVE OVER $200 b/c I didn't have the funds in there yet! I called cust. service to see what happened and the Rep told me since it was V-day weekend it was charged 72 hours early? That was NOT disclosed or on the page. She pretty much told me too bad so sad and when I was trying to figure out a solution b/c I literally did not have the funds in my account and they charged my card without authorization for that certain date. She kept interrupting and talking over me saying "I'll cancel your booking I'll cancel your booking." THERES NO REFUNDS WHEN YOU CANCEL ANYWAYS! Will never use again. They mess up, they don't help. You're SOL.

Have used this app in past with better results. Latest attempt found it reasonably easy to book and pay with Apple Pay, BUT, was unable to transfer the reservation ‘card’ into wallet even with multiple attempts. Called and was told it was because I hadn’t signed into app. (No problems in past and doubt I was signed in then.) Had reservation cancelled (As suggested) and rebooked after signing in, as suggested. Still unable to make transfer. So, now have part of reservations for upcoming trip in Wallet and part not, essentially defeating purpose of Wallet. Further, some of previous trip stays are in old results, but most not. Of reservations for upcoming trip made previously, none were listed in the app. When searched for, got very erratic results. It appears the app has been improved to the point it’s no good anymore.

Used this app 4 times in the span of a couple weeks. Once for my bachelorette party, wedding night, and an impromptu stay post-honeymoon. The fourth was me booking a hotel room for my sister in the limo bus on the way to the wedding because she decided she wasn’t going to want to drive home. So easy to find the best price for the kind of stay you’re looking for whether it’s just a quick place to sleep, or looking for more of a luxury experience. The more you book the more you earn in points too so definitely would recommend for people who travel often, I’ve probably saved hundreds just in the last couple weeks. Love this app.

I spend a bunch of time in upstate and downstate New York. I use hotels because I like getting the free night every ten. And they keep me loyal because of it. But when I do a search on the app and find hotels, I am noticing I do not always get shown ALL of the possible hotels available. However, when I perform a google query for hotels near the same landmark, many more options appear. Then I think well they are just not listed on hotels. But then when I look, there it is along with all the others. And when I click through google on the hotels option, it brings me to my date and time for a closer hotel than the one I got handed when I did the search through the hotels app. Then stupid me I book it at hotels even though they did me wrong. This is the last time. If I get burned again, I am using my free night I earned and ditching hotels forever.

Only two stars because of two things. They won’t let the app connect to their server using a vpn. Very baddd. They want us to disable our protection to use the app. Second, it seems that these guys book for foreign owners. Ran into a belligerent and rude one using this app and he verbally assaulted me. He almost didnt get to see the sun set. I was that upset. He was immediately rude and treated me as though he was doing me a favor at the front counter. He was a punk. Red Roof in. Springfield, MO. I filed a complaint with hotel dot com and cancelled the deal. They also acknowledged the cancellation and promptly refunded my money but for some reason they still thought I stayed at the Hotel. I was happy with their service until I got the notice that they still showed me staying there after I cancelled. So I’m confused. I did not stay there as I might have regretted it. So??

1) They don’t bother to tell you that when you book a flight + hotel package that you will not get *any* rewards (I only learned this after FOUR calls totally nearly two hours of my time!). 2) All of the customer service reps that I’ve spoken to in the last year have *extremely* thick accents, making it difficult to understand what they are saying. 3) If they don’t want to speak with you anymore they will put you on hold for exceptionally long periods of time (there is no sound or background music but you are still on hold). As an “insider” revealed to me, This is because it is documented when they disconnect the call but it is not documented when you disconnect the call, so it they are just trying to get you to hang up. If you wait long enough, though, they will eventually hang up on you. 4) One manager was very nasty. While I was asking him a question about why my rewards had not been applied he said We can talk about this until the middle of next week but it won’t change the outcome.” We had been speaking for less than a minute so he onviously uses that line all the time. That’s the kind of absolutely terrible customer service that you can look forward to. Account deactivated; app deleted. Deuces!

My husband and I are traveling to Japan this summer. Needed 4 separate hotels as we are traveling around. I found just what I wanted with the information the app provided about room size, fridges in rooms, English speaking front desk, breakfast, and laundry availability. Easily switched from info to map view so I could find something close to train stations. Once I picked the hotels I wanted booking was a breeze. They say it takes 2 minutes to book and they’re spot on! Even found great bargains once I unlocked special prices by logging into my account on the app. Would recommend to anyone who travels in the US or abroad.

I booked hotels in this site before and had no problems so I get a email saying that I unlocked special prices so when I look at the hotels I find this one that was 67 a night so I book the hotel I drive hours too get to the hotel with my children for a weekend out for my daughters birthday. So when I get to the hotel to check they tell my the price was a lot more than what it was so the hotel tell me to call hotel so when I do they try telling me that was incorrect and that the price was 270. I was on the phone for 2 hours all for them to say sorry but didn't wanna help with the mistake they made. Never again

The option for a review pops up after it literally took 1.5 hours to book a room. I was looking for a 3 Star hotel with at least 4+ rating. The app showed dozens that fit, close enough for me to take it. However it kept saying that this room was no longer available. But when I would redo the search, the same not available hotels would pop up again. I have used this app dozens of times a year for the last 6 years, but in the last 3 months, something has changed and it’s very frustrating.

Booking and cancelling is easy, but trying to chat with their (very friendly and helpful) support team was difficult. When I left the app to check my confirmation number in my email everything reset and I lost my chat progress. After I went through the process of connecting to another support agent (with my confirmation numbered copied), I couldn’t paste it in the chat box. Also, sometimes the message box wouldn’t let me type anything, so I would have to hide the keyboard and reopen it to reply to a message. The main things I do in the app performed well, but when you already need support, every other little bump in the road seems 100x more annoying.

I have been trying to sign in for over two hours through the mobile app and will not let me. I finally had to go on to my laptop and secure a booking and I reset my password. After doing all of that I then went back to the app several times trying to sign in and it still tells me it does not recognize me email or password. Your team needs to make the mobile sign in easier like it is on the computer through email and not just the facebook option on the mobile app.

To start off, the price savings on this app are ridiculous! I literally saved $160 on here compared to the website. I was comparing the prices right next to each other on my phone. BUT, I wish they would fix their pictures. I had to go to Hyatt’s website to look at pictures of the rooms because they seem to use the same pictures for almost every room. Example... The Presidential Suite (highest price) had the same picture as the Guest Room King (cheapest). It was a bit misleading but I was able to get on the website and overcome it. Other than the pictures, this app is amazing! I will definitely use it again.

Booking interface is fine but after you are booked it's total CRAP! Open the homepage on login and tap the drop down list. Tapping every option pops up the same message about cancellation, including customer service option! Nothing opens anything but this same dumb message. Opened my reservation and all the info comes up in windows (not Windows) spread across several pages left to right. A map of location is there but it doesn't pop up on tapping, it's not interactive. Right now I am typing this in a window that scrolls down auto but cuts off the line I am typing...dumb! Map should be interactive so I don't have to load the location in another app as the most important part of the booking is GETTING THERE!!

We have always enjoyed this app and check it first for listings. However, on our trip that covered thirteen states this summer, we were never able to find a Holiday Inn Express. We always go with either those or Hampton Inn and Suites. We were able to find a few more nights with the “Hotels” app but there were a few nights when we couldn’t find any hotel that we knew was reliable - meaning clean with good beds so we ended up calling a few hotel chains directly when we were in a pinch. We still like the convenience of your app and so far will continue to check it first. But I thought you would want to be aware of what happened with our trip this year.

I am in a hotel in Kissimmee Florida, I got a room for 2 nights (not impressed neither is my nose or my back) for $147. When I checked in I was told that the rooms were all booked and he didn’t know why he hotel still showed/booked a “vacant” room. I ended up seeing a slip from EXPEDIA totaling $125 with taxes and fees. Hmmm. I could have booked that if I for one second thought I needed to price check. So, a hotel booking service using other booking services to re-sell? $22 charge for using them PLUS I had to pay a “refundable” $50 deposit that I won’t get back until I check out. BS! I want the difference back, plus a room that isn’t outdated, dirty, falling apart and at least doesn’t smell like horrible chemicals and rotting things.

You need to collect 10 nights to get 1 free night, which is fine. However, I have booked 3 different times staying 3 nights each time and never collected my “so called credits” to get my 1 free night. Called customer service and was told because I wasn’t signed in to the app, my nights don’t add up. Even though they have records of all my bookings. That was the first excuse for my first booking. Second excuse for my second booking, the hotel didn’t sign me in properly, so I don’t get credit for that stay either. Third excuse for third stay, customer service called and the computer made a mistake and the hotel didn’t have a room for me. So customer service found a different room for me. So, because I didn’t do my booking on the app, I don’t get credit for the stay. Bogus, bogus, bogus!!!!!!!!!!

I travel abroad often in China and I like to book hotels the same day I need them. I often check in to find the hotel has not received my booking. It’s a hassle and it happens frequently. Engineering this is a major fail. In terms of usability. Whenever I switch apps to look up credit card expire dates and cut and paste- the app refreshes as soon as you exit instead which forces you to redo the last search. Why cant the app store the expire date or at least store the reservation info when come back to paste the expire date into the form? UX team: Fix this ASAP.

Pros: Good prices, user friendly app, ratings are pretty accurate. Cons: I wish it would give you all the hotels in the specific city you select, and then ask if you would like to see hotels in surrounding cities. Unfortunately, this is very frustrating, especially when you’re new to the city and unsure about the distant between your hotel and your destination. Give me the option to select the surrounding cities for pricing. Stop intermixing them because it is very confusing. I booked a hotel that looked close to my destination and it ended up being 30 minutes away. Hence, I was very late to my destination.

I arrived in Italy, lost and low key trying to stay calm. I arrive at my reservation and the door was locked. So I found a new place to stay and while I was at my new place a representative called me and said they were trying to reach me all day because my hotel I had originally booked was undergoing emergency maintenance. I told them I had to get a new room but I still needed a place to stay the day after that. They called back and comped me a free room and set me up with a different hotel reservation! Saved my life! Great customer service.

1. Simple, easy, intuitive interface 2. Easy to use filters 3. Filters options surpass other apps 4. Enables user to user to search an area vs only a specific city or town which is helpful when price is a consideration 5. helpful, receptive, and available help desk that actually listens to the end user and wants to user a positive experience...I actually had them make a bad situation right by making sure they did a spot inspection at a property and they gave me a credit to use in the future which was a very fair amount based on the issues.

I used the hotels app to book rooms daily for a recent 2 week vacation. In general the variety and reviews are great and helpful. The booking of rooms was quick and easy. We were traveling from CT to FL then to TN and back to CT. In the evening we would figure about how far we would travel the following day and book an appropriate room. In doing this, one night I booked a room with the cost of $109. - not refundable. The next morning I looked an found the same room in the same hotel booking at $79. This was very disconcerting. I will in the future hold off booking and take my chance🥴. Very disappointed!
Rewards program is garbage!

Unless you travel frequently, the rewards program is worthless. You lose all your points if you don’t book within 361 days of the last time you booked. It gives a date, but since it takes 3 days for a point to post, booking close to the expiration date won’t help unless it’s more than three days out. They won’t grant extensions, either, just tell you, “policy, policy, policy”. Neat trick to avoid having to actually give free nights. You are better off joining the rewards program of your credit card company or a preferred chain of hotels than using this intermediary. Also, the customer service line was aggravating as all get out. After the annoying fake keyboard clattering that a lot of phone banks like to use now to disguise that it’s mostly robots, you’ll get an *obviously-foreign* call-taker who ISN’T HELPFUL AT ALL. Again, they’ll just tell you that “policy” says they can’t do something even remotely outside what the computer says. You’ll go in circles that way until you give up. Again, just join the rewards program of your favorite hotel company or companies and use Kayak to price search. Ignore this app.

It’s like money in the bank. Every time you complete a booking, that night goes in to figure your average spent. After 10 nights, that average equals a free night. The more you spend, the better your average and then use it for a free night. If you ever have a problem because the hotel has overbooked, just call them up and they will help you to find another room. There is also a Pay now or pay later option that is so useful. If you don’t have the money yet to pay, then at least you can still lock it in so that you have the peace of mind that you have a room. You can always cancel the room if change your mind. The rates are always cheaper than if you book direct with the hotel... You can search for a specific hotel or something close to a certain address...or you can search by map and see them all and how much they cost. It’s wonderful.

I tried to book a king bed at Hotel Preston. Your site showed one left on the app. Actually it still shows one left in the app. However, I completed all of the reservation information just to find that the room is not available. How can that be? That’s false advertising at its best. I just checked again and the app still states there is one king room available during our requested dates. Now I’ve had to pay more money for two beds rather than the king I was requesting. I’ve been a loyal customer for over a year and I can promise. You won’t be my first choice when booking our next four scheduled trips again.

I have been using. This app forever, lately it’s been glitching out. Tried to book a room and they charged my card twice and didn’t book a room. I get it, glitches hope , but when I called customer service “Michelle” was not helpful. She just kept reading a script saying I’m not seeing a reservation even though I had already explained I didn’t have one however my card was charged twice. She wouldn’t book the room and said she couldn’t refund my money since I didn’t have a reservation despite me giving her the transaction numbers from my card. She just get talking over me and explained that she could keep running the card, and I wouldn’t do that since I paid twice!!! I will be calling my bank Monday and alerting the BBB of fraud.

Stopover on route to Florida. Chose this location because it’s roughly 1/2 way from home to final destination. Clean room, small but OK pool, photo showed an armchair in the room which I wanted after a long drive, but there was none. Bummer. Reception staff searched other rooms for a chair, but no luck. Very helpful. A/C blows behind the drapes, so make sure you have something to put on the windowsill to keep the cool air in the room. These minor glitches aren’t stopping me from booking this location on the way home. Easy on/off of 95. Breakfast was served too late for me, but I was able to get a muffin and coffee for the road.

Cancelling our account because the rewards application failed over and over. I even got notifications that I earned a free night like I am signed up. However I Can’t apply it because I’m not signed up. Customer service says there’s nothing they can do about it. Sign up again, over 20 nights, nothing free- before giving up, I call customer service and she actually says ok well it’s your choice see ya. She didn’t even try to apologize. Didn’t even offer to try to make it up. Again, Not sorry, what can we do to make it right, nothing.
Consistent, easy and savings real

Been using this app a long time. Because I have never been able to consistently use a single chain due to where I travel (such as Marriott) to collect points, this site is great. For every ten nights, you get a free night. Choices are almost as wide as any hotel, motel and even inns and bed and breakfasts, available in a location are on the list. When you redeem the night, you get the average of what you spent over the previous ten nights. Easy and fair and no restrictions.

Booked a 2 night stay. Everything on the app said it had a fridge and microwave in the room. Got to the room and found out that it didn’t because that was an extra charge. Call customer service and no matter what I said about the app screens their web session thing said no mistakes was made on their end. Oh really!? So just because the banner on the top of the screen says I’m getting a room with a fridge and microwave it’s not your screwup when that’s not what I get? Well thanks for not upgrading my stay or finding me a place that had a fridge and microwave. I’ll be booking my stays with someone else from now on. I work out of town 364 days a year. If you don’t care about your patrons than I hope you close down.

I have booked several nights over the last few years and was almost to the point of receiving a free night. I was notified that if my points weren’t used by a certain date then they would be lost. As a person who doesn’t get to travel at the drop of a hat, I wasn’t able to use them in any way by the deadline. While I understand the policy, there should be some provision for people who don’t travel as much for whatever reason. Therefore this app has been of zero benefit to me while making you guys money off my travel. I am not asking for anything, but I will NOT be using you again. Serves me no purpose to go through you so you can benefit when I don’t. If there was less than one star I would wholeheartedly give it to you. Good day.
Be Aware -not necessarily lowest price

I have used this app for quite a while and have just become aware that they do not necessarily charge the lowest available rate at time of stay and do not adjust the amount prepaid unless you tell them before your stay. I trusted that they were giving the lowest price available at time of stay but that isn’t the case. The hotel erringly billed me for a stay I had reserved/paid for months before. The difference in what the hotel actually charged and the amount I had paid thru this app was $108. I called and was told they do not match the lower price unless you tell them before you arrive. Nice, huh? Deeply disappointed in this company. PLEASE BE AWARE and recheck prices before you go.

Very convenient, especially from smartphone app, except when you book reservations, app doesn’t update & allow user to access confirmation info for several to many hours. This is a longstanding problem that I’ve complained about before. Also, when your “on file” credit card expires, app won’t allow you to provide new number, the only option for this being the internet, with the navigation process to do this cumbersome on a computer & next to impossible via a smartphone internet app!

I have made several bookings on this site. My bookings have had zero complications- every arrival was speedy. I’ve also had two cancellations which have been job related, last minute changes made to my work schedule. I’ve paid through Paypal and received total refunds back into my checking acct within 24 hours. I trust the info, as far as lowest price etc, as I’ve used other sites to search all the options. Saves me time to use the app- learned it’s very reliable

The place is clean and everything works just fine as you would expect at the quality hotel like this. However, the staff here exceptionally well trained and kind and professional. Jaime is who we really look forward to see in the dining area whenever we have their buffet breakfast. He takes Service and hospitality and kindness and delivers it with a love that is the most valuable way to start your day. We come for a conference that is in the hotel next-door but we prefer staying here.

When this app works, it is seamless and fantastic. When it doesn’t, it is a nightmare. I have had multiple bad experiences recently when they had booked a hotel that was already sold out. When you get there, you cannot get a room and you have the lowest priority because it’s through a third party. They need to get that aspect of their service improved greatly. When it does work, it is excellent. You get great options and you can shop for comparable hotels easily.

This app makes it easy to navigate around by list and by map to find the right hotel in the area I'm looking. It keeps old searches, which makes it easy for me to come back at a later date to finish looking through the local hotels. I've found that the information listed on the app has matched every hotel I've stayed at using the app, which makes it easy to trust if I have specific needs for any specific trip.

This app screwed me over and I have to jump through hoops to fix it. Tried booking a room and it told me the room wasn’t available, so i booked a new room. And now I’ve been charged for both. I’m out of the country so I cannot call and there’s basically no other way to get any sort of customer service. Somehow managed to find a “chat” with them, and they are now telling me it’s up to the hotel whether or not I can cancel the first booking. Still waiting to hear. But meanwhile the money is out of my account while I’m traveling and needing these funds. You guys need a better way to get a hold of customer service for travelers. This is ridiculous. Your app glitched out.
BEWARE smoking room rates

This app worked well and I didn't have any problems until I got there and found out that I had a smoking room. Nowhere was it apparent that the rate it was selling me was for a smoking room. This in information that should be eliminated with a simple button at the Very beginning. "Do you want a smoking room. Yes/No" Then your reservation information should have this information highlighted, on its own line. A person shouldn't have to search all the fine print to find this out. All of the other booking information is easily identifiable, but this piece is very important and not given the proper weight.

While many reservations offer free cancellations, they fail to explain any changes or modifications require a complete void of the initial payment and a rebooking which is often a much higher price due to dates being closer to the travel time. I asked to just take off the last day of my 3 day booking so we could only stay 2 nights instead of 3 and instead of being to keep my initial reservation for the first two nights, they stated they had to cancel the entire purchase and charge me an additional 150 dollars for only two nights because the prices went up. This prevents any changes from being made regardless of free of cancellation. BEWARE.

Centrally located. Lots of ethnic restaurants around. Large shopping place, Century Mall, big and small breakfast and drinking places. Transportation (local) friendly. The staff friendly enough. Drawback is there is not much help to get to your room. Room is very basic but very clean. No room phone but there is one in every elevator area to call desk if you need anything. There is a coffee shop in the hotel also available and serves food all day. For the secret price, hey! Its not bad at all!🙃PS. Bedsheets clean so are the towels! Another bonus for the price! Noise? What do you expect, its in the city center!

This App is the bomb. I always get great rates for me and my kids to stay at local hotels. As I have been without a home for a while now saving money is a top priority. Being with my kids is right up there to. So I’m happy to find this App works for me all the time. I did fine it better to book a weekend stay before Wednesday to get a better price. I have never been upset with the choices that I’m given. I totally recommend this App and will continue to use it.

I can’t really complain that much as it is less than 25 minutes to Charlotte or Ballantyne the more exciting places. The price is alright. No cleaning for 14 days. So you kinda have to clean a little bit. No plates, no cups no saucepans. The nearest Walmart is only 11 minutes away. Elevation church is just opposite the hotel so you can walk there. It’s right on the highway so directions are confusing sometimes. Not as easy as you think even with GPS. Sometimes there’s some noise but it dies out. If you have a dog, welcome! The Landry machines and dryers use credit cards.
