Midtowne Market St Charles Mo
by Mrs Robert on 2020/03/31 06:47
I dearly love this store. The employees are always willing to help. There meat is absolutely awesome. If it wasn’t for their five for $25 my husband and I would not be able to eat as good as we do. They always have great specials. They have email specials which are great. Their deli and bakery is out of this world as are the people who work in them. The girls up front are always super nice. As soon as you walk in the door the girls recognize you and say hi. The two managers are great. So if you add the great food and the super employees there is not a better store to shop at. You will never go wrong shopping at Midtowne Market Kathy Fink

This is the worst Sam’s in country, lines go in all kind of direction! A limited variety of items, not easy to find someone to assist you with putting items in your car, I see workers on their phone! Trash in lots area, in carts! Don’t greet upon entering the by some of the younger workers(I need to see your card)! Should have kept the one on Northwestern open! I have shopped at a lot of Sam’s but 8 mile is the worst!
Fraudsters playing mobster

Apparently the recent fundraising fiasco was just a tip of an iceberg. Having found all kind of information on your shady business practices I’m now going back to every phone and deleting all content I provided to you for near free. I hope your company fails miserably.

App is trash.

I’d use other services, Yelp has turned into a “pay us to give you good reviews” type company.
They need to answer the phone!!
by sasafrat on 2020/03/30 22:55
We have tried several times and no answer. But if we drive by there is someone there, either phone not working or they don’t care, but with corona virus the only way is to order by phone. What’s up? The other locations answer immediately

One of the best Buddhist temples in DFW Metroplex. It resides monks from Thailand. Very close to downtown Fort Worth at a corner between WhitSettlement Rd and Cherry Lane. It is a great place for visiting , worshiping, meditating or simply a peace of mind in the time of stress. The monks are friendly and welcoming. This place is absolutely peaceful. I highly recommend this temple to all.
Corrupt
by cobalt.mag on 2020/03/30 21:29
They harass businesses for money and threaten them with bad reviews if they won’t pay up. Therefore the quality of food or events have little to do with ratings and more to do with how bureaucratically pleasing the business is. If you like watching your favorite restaurants die, or going to the same barren overpriced (because of the Yelp offerings) restaurants that die and over and over, well then here’s your app I guess.
A useful tool!

Horrible company and app
by Troudoo on 2020/03/30 20:08
All this app/compnay does is exploit small business owners and restaurants and makes them pay or else they will have nothing but bad reviews. They are also exploiting the coronavirus pandemic by asking for money for restaurants without even notifying these restaurants that they are doing this. Piece of crap company.

This App bullies businesses
by Sv7Fooster on 2020/03/30 19:33

For Coram diner
by Really,it's good. on 2020/03/30 19:19
Food has no flavor and portions are small for a diner. I remember the original diner that was called the Coram pond many years ago when it was a pleasant experience to take my large family there for Sunday dinner. Those days are long gone. The wait staff are also curt and unfriendly!!!!
Grooming gone bad
by Onyx's Owner on 2020/03/30 19:18
The owner explained to me upon calling her during the COVID-19 she was technically not suppose to be opened, but because she has a dental license she can be opened as long as she gives the dental service. She explained she can groom him Monday and give him free dental service. Upon my arrival she took my dog in and after I went to pick him up she states he was matted in several places and I had to cut him shorter. I stated ok, then she picks him up out of a kennel and then there is blood everywhere and she says...OMG, he’s bleeding, I’m like what happened? She says I guess he was scratching at the kennel and cut his paw. My dog is bleeding like crazy!!! She then says you can take him I don’t want him bleeding all over you. I tell her, shouldn’t I take him to the vet cause that’s an open wound on his paw. She then tells me that sure you can but I’ve put some ointment on his paws and I observed her doing that, but it was crazy bleeding. She wraps him in a towel and I take him to a vet up the street from there. The doctor gives me a report and turn around that is $320 after I paid her $40 for grooming him. I then turn around and go back there afterwards and had to contact the police because she gives me a “corporate” number that went directly to her cellphone in front of me when I called. I’m blazing that she lied to me! I take my dog back to the vet because his bandage came off and then the doctors assistant notice that his left paw was cut and bleeding as well, so that’s another $300 I had to kick out! This is the worse grooming salon in Raleigh!!! I don’t advise you to even go to the salon at all. She had 2 employees there that were not suppose to been working according to her. She lied to the officers and had her staff lie about everything. She has cameras and she then turns around and says, you can’t get my cameras. It was the worst day ever for my dog and for my pockets! Don’t go to this groomer, period!

Oriental house restaurant, Ottawa, Ontario
by Casino girl 2019 on 2020/03/30 17:40
Our first time ordering and we could not be more impressed with their food. Everything tasted freshly made. Very impressed with their portions. The lady who took our order over the phone got our order perfectly. Their won ton soup is delicious. Their egg rolls are now my favorite. My husband ordered their combo of garlic spare ribs with fried rice and chicken in sweet and sour sauce. Fantastic meal. I ordered the spicy shrimp with chicken and mixed veggies with steamed rice and was very happy with it but there was an excess of water at the bottom of my plate. We have now found our favorite Asian restaurant.
Terrible App Run by Scummy People
by Cowboys_fromHell on 2020/03/30 17:29
The app is terrible, the reviewers think their celebrities based on the amount of reviews, and they’ve recently been scamming people setting up charities without letting people know. This business and app should be shut down.
Garbage app with tons of fake reviews
by NRR81 on 2020/03/30 17:16
If you still use Yelp to find any kind of service, you’re doing yourself a disservice. The company is known to be corrupt and borderline extortionists, harassing businesses for their service and then spamming fake reviews for those who don’t want their service. Now, they are starting “fundraisers” for businesses so that you, the consumer, can help your local business in this time of need (coronavirus). The catch: Yelp doesn’t tell the business that they’re doing this. So where does your “donated” money go? Good question. NOT to the business unless that company asks for it and then pays a processing fee from Yelp. Bottom feeding scumbags. You want to know where to go? Ask by legit word of mouth or go have an experience for yourself. Screw Yelp.
Very immoral product and company.
by Atlblkz06 on 2020/03/30 17:14
The ratings are about as valid as Amazon reviews- half of them are BS. I’ve seen good places with bad reviews, and TERRIBLE places with good reviews. Hell no. They’re selling ratings.

Yelp is a scummy company
by 1972jeepcommando on 2020/03/30 15:34
Words can not describe how terrible Yelp has treated business owners in the past. I wouldn’t trust yelp to tell me where to defecate, let alone get a taco or burger.
TERRIBLE
by Ronnie Stap on 2020/03/30 15:29
Yelp has added a function to donate to local businesses that have lost business due to the COVID19 crisis. They have set up GoFundMe pages for thousands of small businesses so that Yelp users can donate. Only problem is that aren’t letting these businesses know that they’ve created these accounts and are keeping the money until the business comes to claim it. This is fraud. This is thievery. This is immoral. Do not use this app if you have a conscience.
Yelp is a scam artist of a company
by SmithChaseAllen on 2020/03/30 15:00
Uses Covid-19 to setup a donation scam. Allows fake reviews to stand. Leverages businesses into paying Yelp or else they receive fake negative reviews.
Extortion company. Avoid!

Scam! ***Please read!***
by Coder-256 on 2020/03/30 14:47
I recently watched a video on YouTube from Louis Rossmann about Yelp. I would highly recommend watching this video. It describes how they hid the money you donate though the app (to help with COVID-19) and try to extort small businesses for paying to remove fraudulent bad reviews. This actually reminded me that my father had the same exact problem with his business nearly 10 years ago! They blocked reviews from his regular customers and kept up clearly fake reviews, then wanted him to PAY FOR an “improved algorithm” to filter real/fake comments aka give his business an accurate rating. This entire app is a scam, don’t give them a cent no matter who you are or who you THINK the money is going to. And don’t trust any ratings you see since you can pay to improve them, even though this has been going on for years. It’s really such a shame that APPLE MAPS and Siri show these fraudulent reviews from Yelp, and are complicit to this extortion with no way to disable it! Shame on you, Apple. Just let me turn it off.

Why I’m uninstalling yelp
by bsj916 on 2020/03/30 14:16
Yelp extorts Money from businesses and during this pandemic they are being rather shady taking donations for business without informing the businesses.
Terrible company decision
by Afriendofgianna on 2020/03/30 13:58
Started GoFundMe’s for many businesses for others to donate to during the COVID-19 pandemic, but doesn’t notify the businesses, and requires them to opt-in to receive the money. Essentially pocketing from the current crisis.
Go fund me scam
by Bigfatdave123456 on 2020/03/30 12:51
Yelp has been opening go fund me accounts for businesses and neglecting to inform the businesses that are supposedly benefitting. Where does the money go? I’ve heard way too much about Yelp trying to blackmail business owners into buying their adverts. Deleted the app and will inform others

Liars, scam artists, and thieves
by Dumbfounded user on 2020/03/30 12:21
In addition to all of the blackmailing of small businesses that they’ve always done, they’ve now resorted to using the deaths of thousands of humans in order to scam hard working people out of their money in a false attempt at raising charity. The people that work at Yelp are disgusting.

Despicable Company
by Arnold_32 on 2020/03/30 10:35
Yelp has a long history of bullying and threatening small business owners. They threaten to highlight bad reviews unless business owners pay for advertising and sometimes yelp has even had their staff add negative reviews after business owners refuse to purchase any ads. This company is despicable and doesn’t deserve your attention.
Scummy business
by Jobthebassplayer on 2020/03/30 10:32
Yelp is using COVID-19 to create crowd funding for small businesses, and then keeps the money for themselves. They bury positive reviews for businesses not paying their premiums and create false negative reviews when their extortion doesn’t work. Don’t believe a single review on yelp.
You won’t believe
by NatesMawMaw on 2020/03/30 09:51
Man I have never been so disappointed. I kinda have to depend on delivery due that I’m disabled. I’m disabled because I worked over 25 years as a bartender, carrying heavy crates of liquor and beer up two flights of stairs... My point? I depended on tips to raise my 3 kids. SO I’m a really good tipper... I had a delivery service- $180.00 worth. It says FREE delivery BUT they charged over$20 in” service fees “ THATS THE FIRST PLACE TO BE CAUTIOUS... I know we’re in a a country-wide crisis because of the covid...so I selected the 3-4 hours delivery time... It was 10am when I placed the order online... I DIDNT GET MY DELIVERY UNTIL 9pm THAT NIGHT... I then my 13 bags of food were just thrown all over my front porch! My eggs were laying out of the bag and 4 of the 12 eggs were broken...since no one rang my doorbell a possum had been sniffing around and it crapped all over my candles laying on the ground! Several items were actually laying all over the cold wet ground! I even said on the app they could leave the bags on the outside porch if I wasn’t there because of this no contact...but I just ASSUMED that they would ring the doorbell?!? Right? Then when I called corporate office to explain the service you would think they would have been mortified...right? BUT they said “well that’s Instacart Kroger’s got nothing to do with them lady” ?!?! Oh and I had pre-tipped $43!!! I’m on disability!!! But I appreciate these people aren’t lucky enough to work from home. I REALLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND you just paying someone $40 to pick up your order. I would NEVER shop Kroger’s again if Biggs was still around. But I got no other way to get groceries. Oh when I told my neighbors 5 of them (it was a decent day outside. We were all at the fence talking) out of the 6 of us,only ONE was surprised! The other 4 told about their real bad experience with our local Kroger’s. Our elderly man neighbor said he gets most his stuff from Meijers now BECAUSE HE SAW THE DELI EMPLOYEE SNEEZE!!! While slicing his cheese order. I’ll give Kroger’s a break-that happened a few months ago before the Corona virus. But still...right? I saw another person’s bad review and they said that you would at least think Kroger’s would offer you a free gift card for the terrible service but they didn’t... They said “ Kroger knows that they have no worries cos they know they have the market cornered “ They right. But what if we all joined together and didn’t shop there for even our next trip? All at the same time? Anyone got any idea how to show these arrogant a-holes WE DO MATTER!?!?! And customer service should MATTER?! I’m getting angry a again
Fake Reviews
by TrueLuck3 on 2020/03/30 09:38
Yelp unfortunately allows BS reviews to stay up even after proof is provided by business owners. I’ll start with a Google review, but rely on my own friends or personal experience in the end.
This app is used to extort small business owners using fake reviews.
by pismodude on 2020/03/30 09:27
Delete this app if possible. They are very shady. It's in their best interest to extort business owners by leaving bad and fake reviews up unless they receive a payment from the business owner.
Future Yelp Eliter

deleted it after Yelp’s COVID scam
by LucasDestroyerofWorlds on 2020/03/30 09:01
I know. This is a review for the company, not the app. But, since they’ve chosen to open charities and GoFundMe’s in the names of restaurants without informing them to opt-in to this program, I don’t care. The greed. Shame on them. If you like Yelp’s service, and you aren’t looking into it, please don’t be ignorant on this matter. Also, Apple, we need a 0 star rating on these guys.
Fundraisers without consent
by caverks on 2020/03/30 08:39
Creating fundraisers for businesses without telling them they’ve have them set up is scummy business practices. It’s just a ploy for Yelp to gain money in hopes the business owner never claims the funds, which is likely considering they were never notified. Unbelievable

Garbage ethics
by unicorns for the astute on 2020/03/30 07:24
This is not a review of the app but the company itself. This company has no problem bulling business owners for extra cash or even using the name of other business to run a charity scam. Yelp is such a garbage business, there was a movie based on them on how they would torture business owners for free stuff and to sign of for their premium services. Im being vague because i dont want to violate any review terms but you can easily google these things. There are other apps you can use that are just as good if not better.
Yelp is a fraudulent company
by Crazy_3ddy on 2020/03/30 07:17
It is well known that Yelp will encourage negative reviews towards your business if you don’t pay them for “advertising.” This company shouldn’t exist let alone be an editor’s choice on the App Store. Yelp is also allowing you to donate money towards several of your favorite restaurants and businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, but they aren’t informing the businesses they’re starting these fundraisers. And what happens when these businesses don’t come to collect the fundraiser intended for them that they never knew about? It is allowed to go straight into Yelp’s pocket.

by Mikel27 on 2020/03/30 06:52
Yelp is an evil corporation who buries small businesses and create charities in business names without notifying them. They also do hire or their employees reach out to personal contacts to leave reviews on businesses if businesses don’t do what they ask. It’s a shame and they should be buried. Plenty of other resources to find what you’re looking for.

Yelp is a scam
by orangeyoucute2 on 2020/03/30 05:55
It’s unbelievable they have not been sued back to the Stone Age. When I see a bunch of bad reviews on yelp I purposely patronize that business because I know they’re clearly great because they are still in business despite yelp’s attempts at ruining them because they won’t pay the protection money yelp demands to stop hiding good reviews. Yelp - how do you sleep?

by dankkitty on 2020/03/30 05:51

Obvious Mafia Tactics
by MrMisneach on 2020/03/30 05:18
Yelp used to be a helpful service when the data was based on actual user reviews. Unfortunately, their model of strong-arming businesses into paying them to either keep up positive reviews or remove negative reviews is akin to the same model used by mafiosos for “protection” money decades ago. Yelp is outdated garbage, and their management is similar. For everyone looking for reliable reviews, look elsewhere.
You guys add a donation button for the Coronavirus but don’t even notify the business?!
by StanleyTheFamily on 2020/03/30 05:02
Such a scummy thing to do to open up a charity option for a business you don’t own and disregard notifying users/owners. Way to exploit a pandemic for monetary gain. I hope this app goes down in flames but I’m sure you guys have enough experience with review bots to keep this app above 4 stars
Stop. Using. Yelp.
by udell85 on 2020/03/30 05:02

Deceptive and fraudulent
by WJS_11 on 2020/03/30 04:50
Nothing can be trusted on Yelp’s platform. Opening gofundme campaigns on behalf of small businesses without telling owners of those businesses in order to do what; pocket the money unless the owners claim it? And the reviews submitted by the brothers, sisters, cousins, colleges and friends of Yelp employees in order to damage uncooperative small businesses should be considered fraud. Apple should be ashamed for supporting such a company.

The only reason this app isn't already 1 star is because of you read their app store reviews, you'll notice a ton of their reviews are written by people who think they are reviewing the business they found with Yelp, not the app itself. Apple should be ashamed for leaving these reviews up as they are obviously false and misleading.
Horrible Comany
by lonelycricket on 2020/03/30 04:28
Yelp is loaded with false and unfounded reviews that it refuses to delete when notified. You can use it to find restaurants and businesses in your area, but absolutely DO NOT trust the reviews listed, whether they are good reviews OR bad ones. Yelp is favoring some businesses over others and it’s most likely because they are being paid to do so.
COVID-19 Thieves
by rtf2194 on 2020/03/30 04:21
Per several small business users, this abhorrent company is setting up fake charities for business that don’t ask for it. This is in the midst of a service industry crisis. How Yelp thinks this is respectable is beyond me, and I will be letting my elected officials know the transgressions this company has made.
Yelp is HORRIBLY unethical.

Taking advantage of small businesses
by TexanPancit on 2020/03/30 04:13
Yelp was just recently caught creating charities for small companies without telling them and keeping the money if the company owner didn’t claim it. Steer clear these guys are taking advantage of the outbreak currently going on!
No thanks

Horrible company.
What is this app?
by chocolategrains on 2020/03/30 04:06
Yelp seems to be running a few scams. They post fake reviews to companies that don’t pay them. During the coronavirus outbreak of 2020, they’re setting up charitable donation pages for businesses but then not notifying those businesses. The money just goes straight to yelp! Super scummy practices here.

Not a good to business owners
by Brian garrity on 2020/03/30 03:26
Yelp has recently started a a go fund me under business during the coronavirus without letting the business owners know. If the business owners don’t collect the money it’s basically yelp making another profit. See anything wrong with this? Yelp is also known for fake reviews despite being reported.
Terrible company

Horrible business practices that take advantage of covid-19 and harassed small businesses.
Look for reviews elsewhere people!
by Snarfsauce on 2020/03/30 03:08
I enjoy restaurants, I enjoy going out, and every person that I have networked with have stated the same thing: pushy, questionable, and flat out fraudulent and lying are the only words spoken about yelp among peers. They continuously harass companies to push for advertising, they have been caught implementing fraudulent poor reviews to businesses that call them out on their unethical money-grabbing tactics, and have recently started gofundme pages for businesses without that businesses knowledge or consent. This is not how a proper business should be conducted and will no longer be using this application or referencing this application any further. I HIGHLY advise everyone else to do the same. Shame on yelp
Shout out to Outta Hand Pizza
by Jax Costello on 2020/03/30 02:34
This little pizzeria across from the south ave Train station in Westfield not only has amazing thin crust pie; but they donated food to the front line Health care workers at a local ER. The Atlantic Healthcare Union ER site wants to thank this establishment for reaching out and supporting those who are working tirelessly to combat the covid 19 pandemic. Thank You Outta Hand Pizzeria! You are heroes!

by Mooshoolina21 on 2020/03/30 02:02
I like using the yelp app to read reviews on places I plan or are going to check out. I sometimes get bored and just get on yelp and just look at random places just to read the reviews. I find yelp a bit better than google reviews accuracies wise

Misleading, bookmarks not useful
by KellyK376 on 2020/01/07 23:23
Yelp has to make money to stay in business, I get that. But I have witnessed the biased nature of ratings for official Yelp-affiliated businesses and those that are not. And it’s garbage. There must be a way to be fairer to new businesses and help them succeed instead of throwing them to the wolves and allowing calculated attacks from other business owners. Then there is the bookmark system. I felt better when it was all just in one giant folder and I could search the whole thing. Now I’ve only organized half of my bookmarks because it is SO tedious to do one at a time, instead of being able to select multiple for deletion or moving to another folder. There should also be a filter for businesses that are reported closed for purging lists. It seems Yelp wants you to use their app, but refuses to make it easier to form a routine.
Cannot see full phone number
by Rubenette on 2018/01/16 03:54
Yelp has 0 ways to contact them unless you want to report a specific business or are a business owner. Leaving this negative review is the only way I could think of to contact them about this issue. On some recent update they changed the layout on business pages where they put the phone number and a link to directions on the same line. This cuts off the last 5 digits of the phone number so you cannot see it. For phone users this isn't a problem because you can click and auto call, but for wifi or iPod users it just prevents us from getting the phone number in the app. Worse yet, the phone number is not included on the about page for businesses either which would be an easy fix! I now have to open yelp entries in Safari or google the business to get the phone number. This is really inconvenient and I'm considering deleting the app and just using the website, annoying!!!
Huss Lawn Maintenance
by avbfgtey on 2020/03/15 00:07
Dale Huss came to our home to give a bid to de-winterize our yard, prune bushes & trees, relocate some small trees, bark all beds, suggest improvements and additions/deletions to our yard. He is courteous, knowledgeable and experienced. I had two other bids and he was in the middle which In my estimation was the sweet spot. Dale was on time as was his 2 man crew. They too were on time, courteous and experienced, no loafing. Dale went out and purchased some of the bushes that we both agreed would enhance the yard. The price was reasonable and saved us from running around. He also assisted his crew so they could finish up the day long job. We are very happy with Huss Lawn Maintenance and they will be my go-to for yard work in the future. The job was clearly understood and was done exactly as we wanted.
Map search is flawed
by B K Traveling on 2017/10/14 14:57
Summary: Map search results on iPhone include areas outside of map boundaries. I have had the Yelp app on several phones over the years and and I’m familiar with the website. I had it on my iPhone 6+ in the past but deleted it to save space about a year ago. Since then I have used the mobile website. I finally got tired of the nag screens telling me to view my search results on the app so I reloaded the app. When I search using map results I get places that are relatively nearby but not on the map. Very irritating to me. If I wanted results from other places I’d move the map or resize it. To Yelp: Stop giving me search results I don’t want or need. I just remembered another irritating thing about this app. Every time you change the search terms it resets the filters instead of keeping the previous ones.
Garbage app
by snoozepa on 2019/05/26 04:51
This is the worst app I have ever dealt with (and I was user for years). Only low class uneducated people would continuously use such an app, telling blatant lies. There are garbage write ups over brief interactions with a business, without actually wanting to resolve what their issue with the business is first. Yelp only cares about numbers, high traffic and increasing their profits and this is not a platform that creates any goodness in this world. If I could give zero stars, I would. I fell for this idiocy in the beginning, ignorant to the real lack of value it actually has in this world. Where did my reviews go? Why are businesses scammed into paying yelp to have their good reviews available to the public? Crazy. I will no longer be a part of the bashing and negativity. I will no longer debase others in a platform that does not allow them to defend themselves properly in the public forum that it is. Google reviews is where it’s at. Sorry yelp. I’m done.

I’m Yelp Elite...
by Mivoz on 2018/01/11 02:26
Love the app & the improvements made. Wish they’d make the following updates... 1. When you do a search, please automatically sort by distance, closest to furthest. Then, allow the list to be filtered again by: stars, etc. 2. Please expand your listing to the Bahamas. Your GPS is off and everything falls under Nassau, NY instead of Nassau, Bahamas. If Facebook can find me and I can check in there, it would behoove you to do the same. 3. When someone sends a complement based on a tip or a review, it’s helpful to know the context of the complement as the receiver. “Joe B sent you a complement from you review or tip at XYZ” 4. Please allow the about me section allowing it to be modified within the app. Please add more questions and please allow more characters to the comments. If I try to go online, it jumps to the app. 5. Please trigger notifications when you are active in the Talk section so you know there was a response. I don’t get notifications. I just have to keep checking back. 6. Please require a person to have at least 25 friends, 25 reviews and 25 pics WITH an actual pic before they are allowed to message anyone. I am beyond sick and tired of the stalkers and trolls. Men will troll to hit on women. This is not a dating site and creeps are getting in.
Yelp is a joke
by TorgerbLip on 2020/01/14 01:21
Yelp is utterly useless in trying to build an understanding of a restaurant. it has malicious business practices that hurt small businesses, and is a better reference to see how many stupid people had a poor understanding of what they were getting into through sol fault of their own. people flock to yelp to simply rant of bad experiences, or things not being as they expected, when more often than not, it’s just because they are dim witted and didn’t realize the price range, menu, or atmosphere before dining. on top of that yelp encourages restaurants to pay for ads to remove bad reviews and skew their results which just keeps big businesses on top and hurts the smaller ones. If you want a great example of yelp users stupidity look up grubhub on it. grubhub, an amazing ordering service with nearly a 5 star rating on the appstore, has a 1 on yelp because people don’t understand what it is, and are frustrated by the fruits of their incompetence.
Good but could use improvements
by Ric M. on 2019/01/31 03:44
Still my preferred app to check out restaurants. A couple of suggestions. I like that people can check in. It would make more sense if there was an option to geographically base the check ins. Say for example you go a business trip and there was an awesome restaurant you visited but couldn't remember what the name was or where it was located. While you remembered to check in, it was roughly about 3 years ago. You have to spend several minutes scrolling and scrolling through your saved check ins to find the general timeframe of when you went there. More often than not, I will skip over it and it just leads to frustration. Make check ins more useful. The same repetitive questions keep coming up. For attire, answering either casual or formal would generally suffice. I don't think people filter places specifically looking for a divvy or hipster venue. I think one of the more useful things you could add is average wait time and harness the database of loyal users. If you could ask if wait time is less than 5 min, less than 30 min, or greater than an hour for walk ins, that would help users prioritize their list of possible selections. Hope these suggestions make it to the next update.
Automatic opening of app- STOP
by ettie3 on 2018/02/01 02:12
UPDATE: Nothing has changed. I give the app a chance by clicking on a link in safari, knowing I will be redirected. I don’t get redirected to what I was previously reading. This is so ridiculous and tiresome. Clearly y’all don’t want people to use your site. ******* I am so tired of you guys forcing me to use this app while I am browsing on safari. It should be an option we can turn off. And if it's not offered, you do a great job of hiding the ball and making people search to figure it out. My use of this app is a choice. If I want to visit the website, I should not be forced to interact with the app. I thought you would have addressed this by now but nope. One star for tone deafness and really messed up advertising. Also: If you're going to force people to open the app when using safari and looking at the mobile site, make sure it works and people are actually directed to the site they were looking at on safari.
The Most Helpful App Ever
by shahana18 on 2020/03/25 04:18
So I have tried Home Advisors in the past and it has never helped me find ANYONE! With Yelp and their option to research companies and ask several companies at once for quotes, I have found an electrician, a plumber, a dog groomer, furniture delivery, a nail place, food places and on and on. My experiences with the professionals I have found here have been excellent. I really appreciate the functionality, like getting notifications of messages, being able to securely communicate with different companies, being able to describe my needs one time and have the message sent to multiple companies, and being able to share my experience with others. One of my most used apps for sure!
Why I’m Addicted to Yelp Now
by Lauren Hooligan on 2018/04/18 14:05
After being in marketing for years I always understand what Yelp is, how it’s great for business, how to set up profiles, what it costs to list yourself on there as a premium account, etc etc. Up until recently I never used the app and never really thought it would be useful to me. I preached about, and helped with developing processes to get consumers to write good reviews.... did I mention for quite a few years? Meanwhile I was over here never writing any reviews myself or using the tool to my advantage! I’ve saved money, visited little places I didn’t know existed and have settled food decision wars in my house. I love Yelp now and told my husband I may be headed toward becoming a full on “Yelper” soon. 🤔😊
Awesome!!
by SoldierBoy1978 on 2019/02/23 14:54
I love yelp because it is an all inclusive app that you can find anything that your looking for, from food to home maintenance. The great thing about it is the reviews and the pictures others post, it tells the true story of what your getting yourself into. I use Yelp for everything to finding places to hangout, to eat and even my vacations locations. Oh wait the best thing about Yelp is the discounts you get for checking in to places that use Yelp to advertise #awesome, I have gotten some good coupons and I like it as well for the badges and status you get for the check ins and reviews. Well I guess you can see I love to Yelp so I hope you become a Yelper yourself it will save you the time and headache trust me.
Worst Business Decision EVER
by Jakey long on 2018/10/08 22:45
I’ve been in business for 13 years and never used any advertising to gain new clients from the internet or traditional advertising methods. I get new clients from referrals from current clients. I thought I’d join YELP just to have an online presence. Since that decision 1 month ago, I’ve been promised help with my business listing by Valentina my customer service rep at YELP (never happened). I have received 9 calls from other sites trying to get me to pay money to get my business listing to the top of a google search. I’ve also been charged $118 by YELP but Im not sure why. Valentina assured me I had a $300 credit to give my company exposure. (Randomly put my business at the top of the page when searching for my category of service) When I emailed Valentina, my customer service rep at YELP about the charge, she said she had no idea why I was charged and suggested I contact YELP billing. BOTTOM LINE: Dony join YELP for advertising, it’s a scam!
They keep making their bookmarks feature worse and worse
by CaliPharoah on 2018/05/25 21:43
Who is in charge of this design? I use the bookmarks feature extensively and it has only gotten worse. Now in order to see my bookmarks on the app, I have to select “more” from the menu at the bottom, then select “bookmarks” which doesn’t actually take you to your bookmarks but to the collections feature which is pretty useless IMO and then click “bookmarks”. Fine I’ve lived with that since the last bad update but now you have no way of seeing whether the restaurant is open or closed without having to click on the individual business. You can’t see it from the list or the map anymore at all and it makes bookmarks so much less useful on the fly. I was hoping they would add a feature to show bookmarks by “open now” like you can with the search function but instead they crippled the function even more. This is a huge step backwards
Needs to prioritize reviews better
by Sashazur on 2018/02/08 05:05
It doesn't make sense that even for places with hundreds of reviews, the app lists reviews in random order... You might see a six month old review on top, followed by one from five years ago, then one from last week, etc. This makes it harder to tell if a place with overall good ratings has gone downhill recently, or if a place with overall bad ones has started improving. About the only way I can see this seemingly random order making sense is when a business suddenly gets a bunch of mostly good or bad reviews due to sketchy reasons - but that likely doesn't happen often. One other comment... I know people complain about how businesses can pay to get listed first, but the app makes it obvious by showing the "ad" symbol etc. and Yelp has to make money somehow.
YELP
by AKPitman on 2019/09/24 20:08
I love Yelp! For a long time I had never even heard of Yelp. I was going to restaurants and writing reviews on the food I was getting every place I went. I have always considered myself a good judge of great food, mediocre food, and terrible food. I also believe in telling the truth, but without being downright rude. I then discovered Yelp and started reading reviews of places. I loved reading everyone’s opinion of all the different places. I don’t really remember how I got started writing for Yelp, but I’m glad I do because I love every minute of it. Meeting some of the Yelpers has been a treat too! Real people writing real opinions about food and businesses. Thank you YELP for allowing me to be a part of a wonderful organization.
Garbage.
by Nickname is taken ugh on 2018/06/07 20:49
I don’t ever write reviews, but I feel compelled to about this sham of an app. Every time I’m looking into a business for whatever reason, the top searches all yield the same results: Yelp. Then, in the middle of what I’m trying to read, I’m forced to stop because Yelp wants me to go to their app. After months of this, I relented. Mistake. Not only does the app never have any useful information, but when I find something on the website and then “continue in app” it takes me to a page completely unrelated to what I was just reading! It’s such a scam. Don’t waste your time with this awful app, and don’t waste your time with Yelp! It’s a garbage website, with more ads than info. They obviously make lots of money to have the monopoly on Google searches, and I wish that would change, because all I want to know is who has the best sushi in my area and I might never know. Delete the app before you throw your phone across the room.
Very helpful
by Gravity Warrior on 2018/01/29 22:43
Use this app often to research anyplace unfamiliar, especially restaurants. I like to see real deal pictures from the customers and not just the dressed up ones they want you to see. I do find reviews can be skewed. Some people just can’t be pleased like complaining about a 30 minute wait at a restaurant on Friday night or a 2 star review because of something that was superficial and likely an honest mistake like putting the appetizer on the wrong check with a party of 3 couples. When taking all this into account I find this app extremely helpful and informative. So far it has helped my family find several favorite local go to spots. We especially rely on it when traveling.
Yelp's Review
by Wyverk on 2017/09/13 16:13
Yelp is quite an amazing app. Many use it to rate first experiences of restaurants, gyms, clothing stores, you name it. Others rate what they have been going to their whole life. Either way, it is a great tool to use in order to understand whether a place you want to check out is good or not. Another bonus to this app is the fact that some businesses are willing to give free product and bonuses just for liking them and leaving a review on yelp. One thing that does confuse me is that a place for show four reviews actually have more than hundred. I'm guessing Yelp either has some algorithm to determine if a review is legitimate or yelp has certain preferences towards certain businesses. Who knows?
Northglenn Heights Assisted Living Northglenn Colorado
by Dianne Lindenmeyer on 2020/01/17 19:44
Choosing a residence for our aging parents can be tough. I found Northglenn Heights in 2016 after my mom had 3 significant events that impacted her ability to live alone without assistance. When you come into the facility, Gwen will greet you and help in any way possible. AJ is so kind as she checks on mom before administering her medications. Kathy talks to mom like a dear friend. Theresa walked me through the transition for mom to have her medications administered by staff. And of course Gifty has held my hand with grace and patience through understanding the process of mom’s finances and how that works in an assisted living environment. The staff truly cares about their residents. Thank you for all that you do for my mom and others.
What’s the agenda here? Or just incompetence?
by MC2020202 on 2018/11/29 05:28
Three different patrons left our business STELLAR reviews today on Yelp (first time I ever mentioned our presence on Yelp or had their link on our Web site [already removed]). Within a few hours, one of said customers contacts me to let me know her review was pulled by Yelp or made invisible, without reason or explanation. Why? I had no idea for her. Even worse, during the same timeframe, some older gentlemen we’ve never dealt with leaves a terrible, one-star review for us — even though he SPECIFICALLY CITES in his write up that he’s actually talking about an entirely different company with a somewhat similar name... It’s just unacceptable and infuriating... after this realization, I noticed that numerous other positive reviews that have been left by our patrons, were for some reason being made invisible and uncounted by Yelp. In the Cannabis industry (my company is a medical research and education organization), there are too many other resources for reviews available to even acknowledge Yelp. Resources which are UNIMPEACHABLE in credibility, cross-referencing IP addresses, among many other authenticity verifying protocols. This will now be a topic at our regional conference next Monday — I’ve already contacted the president of the Commission for my state, and I will be unequivocally recommending a boycott of Yelp for the entire Cannabis Industry.
This app is a MUST HAVE if you want your coin spent for a good experience!
by Lorealdonae on 2018/09/11 22:08
I use this app for everything! I tell my friends and family about it. I’m a very adventurous person so I love to try new restaurants, hair salons, nail salons, even night life when I’m in different cities! I don’t like to waste my time or spend my money for service I didn’t enjoy. Since I’ve been using this app faithfully, I can honestly say, I’m never let down. I love how this app lets people take a picture and post about their experience. Rather just reading a review about how great a dish was or how great this hairstylist achieved their haircut or color but can’t see it. Yelp allows every review be personal but very helpful for others. Thank you Yelp!
LESS than 1 star
by SoCalLannette on 2018/08/22 21:54
As a business owner I know not every single customer will love you but Yelp lets anyone say WHATEVER they want, even lies with no proof and the business owner can only respond to the review! Yelp will not assist business owners in removing reviews that are lies! I am a Yelp user and I have been a loyal advertiser until today! I received a 1 star review from a customer that was in my store last week, her review is about 10 paragraphs long and contradicts herself multiple times, not only that but what she says is a lie and I have proof but does Yelp care? NO! Does Yelp care that I was screamed at by someone unstable for 30 minutes and I never raised my voice and do they care that she was given a full refund? NO! Does Yelp care that I was told by my other clients in my store and 2 of my employees that I needed to call the police on this woman? NO! Does Yelp care that out of her 19 reviews she has left for other stores, over 10 of them are 1 star? NO!
Incentives
by Artierce on 2018/03/15 02:32
Love this app! Use it often. Yelp has allowed me to further develop my critical and creative thinking! It has sparked the food critic in me. Which in turn helped me cipher between bias and unbiased opinion. A hat off to their development team, for keeping up with updates. Best features come in handy ...Such as the check in rewards for visits at participating venues. To the social status, and awards for rankings. One thing am not keen on. Is the image share. Within app—taking images, then resulting with yelp insignia all over the image one takes. What’s up with that? In a way that feature has discouraged me from taking images. No biggie. In all this app is fun to use and gives me incentives to continue using it! Thanks Yelp!

by Samsk1201 on 2017/09/13 15:32
I don't know any other app that does the job like yelp, and there's a reason to that. Yelp is unique in that there's a whole community that shares their experiences about restaurants all over the world. The app is so easy to use and user-friendly. I couldn't have asked for more from an app, and I believe this app will change your life, at least in the area of knowing what restaurants and joints to check out. Although the ratings and reviews may be opinionated, you're better off trying a new restaurant with the affirmation of good reviews on yelp, than trying one on your own whim (from experience). So if you haven't tried yelp, which is highly unlikely, then go ahead and give it a shot.
Best home market ever!!!
by lizzard the wizard on 2020/03/15 19:37
When I first bought my home here. We were out of a few things we seen a cozy small market. So my daughter and I decided to stop there. Wow we encountered not only a market but what felt like family the owner are super welcoming genuine and loving. It was amazing my my young daughter said Rose the owner was super sweet. Not only did this market have what we need it also had something even more precious a beautiful true sincerity of love. Thank you Rose and family. If the world could show love like this it would be a much better outcome in our world. We love you Rose. I feel like their our family. What a blessing they all are and the market. I encourage people to go visit this beautiful market. Blessings . ♥️ AnnMarie
Poor management reservation canceled
by smujmu on 2020/02/22 05:02
As a previous guest noted this hotel will cancel a reservation without contacting you if they feel like they have a higher profile guest or can perhaps sell room at a higher rate. My husband and daughter were booked for an admitted student event and while on way were contacted by Expedia and told reservation canceled. Had we not used Expedia they would have arrived at midnight without a room. I doubt property would have called. I called hotel and desk clerk told me they were oversold. I questioned him further and asked how that is possible. He said they are told by mgt to book walk in reservations as long as rooms are open. I asked to speak to manager and he said she was not onsite and put me through to voice mail. I inquired how many others are going to show up and have no room? He admitted that was a problem he was working on. It was 7 pm and they gave away our room. I had called ahead specifically to confirm a late arrival 11 pm and told we were all set. Their late arrival policy is 3AM! I stayed here in December and had a great experience. The desk clerk was pleasant. Hotel is new. Breakfast just ok. Room is spacious. The manager of this property should be fired. I wrote to Hilton corporate because I doubt the mgr will return my call. Sadly I will have to look elsewhere for future lodging since they seem to cancel on a whim.
Yelp Exposes Bad Business & Scammers
by Kingof4rst on 2019/02/19 16:16
I am glad this app exists. In today’s world, unfortunately, there are many businesses who take advantage of customers. Businesses can’t alter or change the bad things they have done on Yelp and holds them accountable! They are like the police of the businesses for consumerism! Totally support this type of honestly and accountability from consumers and others. For the business owners who get mad or disagree, maybe you should check yourself! It’s too bad they didn’t have an app for the businesses who treat employees bad for future prospects, who are looking for work. For the businesses who do their consumers right thumbs up to you ! Keep up the good fight! Keep the businesses honest!! Thumbs up to yelp!!
Honesty
by Sherrie Ann on 2017/10/23 16:56
That’s what you get when you read a yelp review. No one gets paid to write a review unlike an advertisement. Remember how it used to be? You’d go to a place, the service, the products or the food were terrible, and you let your friends know about it. The owners never got any feedback generally and you just never went back. Yelp gives consumers a voice and owners constructive knowledge of how to improve. It’s no wonder that reviews can either boost or detract from Sales. It gives power to the consumer. Let’s face it, Honolulu is not cheap. And if you’re going to pay that much for something, you have the right to have something that is delicious, experience good service and a good product.
Home Depot on Barbara Jordan Blvd. in Austin, TX
by AustinJoeboy on 2019/09/29 19:55
I needed to rent a truck at a moments notice in an area I'm not familiar with at a Home Depot I'm not familiar with. The yelp reviews of this location were very low so I was concerned. I was relieved and pleased to find that I was very quickly connected to the right individual in the right department with the current correct information. When I arrived I was able without any trouble to find the right area to go to. I did wait about 5 minutes with a couple who had been waiting 15 minutes for someone to come to the desk to help but when the young man arrived everything went smoothly and quickly. Overall it was an easy, painless, very reasonably priced transaction. Good on ya HD
Use it all the time but annoying sponsored adds
by Emwilflower on 2019/03/30 01:12
I love this app but the sponsored adds are annoying especially when they aren’t part of your modification on search. Also annoying when you go to read reviews on a place and they actually have SPONSORED reviews or something for other restaurants as your scrolling for other restaurants. Not only are these adds irrelevant to your search, but it’s made me misread reviews for places thinking they were for the place I was looking up. HOWEVER! I will continue to use this app because despite the annoyances like, it’s still extremely useful overall and I’ve even used it to schedule appointments for hair and nails. But usually use for food. Still recommend it for looking up places.
Live by Yelp!
by Seb the FoodDude on 2017/10/07 14:42
I've been a very frequent business traveler for over 20 years. In that time I've been my experience seeing the country grow more and more interesting. Yelp has made the travel more interesting and fulfilling than ever before. In fact I always find anything from gasoline to entertainment using Yelp. I've learned the ins and outs of interpreting reviews and I cannot remember a poor experience after finding a place with Yelp. It's become my right hand when it comes to nearly every commerce transaction in my life. Yelp is a remarkable tool for finding excellent food, service, and entertainment. I will always recommend it to friends and always use it at every opportunity.
Gutter guard installation-Joe Britton Roofing and siding
by Fairviewst on 2019/05/29 17:36
Contacted the above contractor with regards to having gutter guards installed. I used Britton’s roofing approximately 8 months ago for a new roofing. He not only gave me the best price but excellent customer service and the job was completed in one day. I can say the same thing with regards to the gutter guard install. Gutter guard installation occurred approximately 1 week after I had called. Very satisfied with the work performed on both installs. Would definitely recommend Britton’s Roofing. Joe cares about the quality of his work produced and he always makes sure his customer are satisfied with the work performed. I would use this contractor without any reservation for any upcoming work that I need don.
Yelp is my go-to guide for all the things!
by bowiesmama on 2018/09/26 19:20
Whether it’s looking for a new nail salon to try in my area or a hot sushi place in Las Vegas, I am constantly using Yelp to help lead me to my next destination. I love how I can read through reviews to find out what to order or who to book an appointment with. I also find it very convenient to see the hours the businesses are open and click to call directly. The most convenient tool I’ve recently used is the “Join the Waitlist” link for a local hot restaurant. What a convenient and time-saving feature! I truly don’t know what I would do without Yelp. It’s the best way to navigate through unfamiliar cities and even to find recommendations in my own town.
Best customer service ever!!!
by Coxzy0989 on 2019/11/14 22:58
I would just like to say that Keagan Ross has amazing customer service. After stressing for the past week after accidentally inviting my family over for thanksgiving (knowing I don’t have a dining room table right now) I found them on Facebook marketplace. I inquired about several different tables and all of my questions were answered within minutes..... yes MINUTES!!! They have reasonable prices and guaranteed to have our table ready and delivered by thanksgiving. They answered all of our calls and gave us so many options to choose from to create a truly customized table for our family. A big thanks to Keagan Ross for making this stressful time very stress free!
Unfair reviews
by dogs4pkc on 2019/10/12 04:02
I don’t understand how they can say they aren’t biased. There is often no rhyme or reason why some reviews are selected as “not recommended” and others, all factors the same, are left in recommended. I frequent a specific business often, my one luxury is getting acrylics done on my nails. Yet when I have more to say, instead of allowing it to post as an update, as they do for other customers, they separate the updates and post it under not recommended, leaving only the latest update. When I sort the reviews by the most recent first, even though the update is 4 days ago, it does not appear as recent. Since so many reviews are posted under not recommended, even those with 5 stars, it causes me to pause and question what is really going on. I’ve researched all their explanations but haven’t seen them applied.
Medical clinics
by KTdid12345 on 2019/05/30 16:37
You must take medical providers/facilities off yelp. This app is single handedly demoralizing the practice of medicine in ways you will see clearly until physicians practices are owned by pharmaceutical / insurance companies / Coca Cola (any other corp w the funds to lead marketing). Hospitals are now branding. Emergency rooms are branding. This is unavoidable for facilities who wish to stay afloat in practice where reimbursement is becoming directly dependent on public opinion. Soon to be indistinguishable from retail, food industry, politics. Make no mistake this evolution is already happening behind the scenes. You must consider the level of corruption to which you are leaving medicine vulnerable, and what this means for patient care in the near future. You are industry leaders in this arena and have the opportunity to cap the damage and take bold ethical position early. Medicine was never meant to be ‘reviewed.’ If you continue to treat as a retail provider, this is what this practice will become.
Best App for Restaurant Reviews
by Tigerrose88 on 2018/02/24 04:32
Yelp is very helpful in finding places to dine when you are traveling and in different areas so you don't end up in a "dive" restaurant or eating places that does not suit your taste. Stars are pretty reliable from personal experiences. Be careful on those with low ratings, its not as reliable than 200+ reviews. It's practical and easy to read. It provides tips and check in offers that we have used. They need to update and remove closed restaurants, maybe allow reviewer to put a closed notice. Need more reviews in European countries . Overall I am very satisfied with Yelp and it is more reliable than other reviews online. We travel a lot so Yelp is so handy.
pointless
by ItsTori_0103 on 2017/12/12 23:14
so if i’m looking on my phone for something and don’t have yelp its basically pointless for me to even try. and then again i’m seeing that honest reviews are being shot down by yelp to help save companies reputations? so why would i even trust the app? the app makes it so hard for me to find actual information about a place without being redirected to this screen being prompted to download an app that isn’t 100% honest and will feed me only what it wants me to know about some restaurant or some dog park where i just want to see some pictures. Advice to apple and yelp. make information a choice not a prompt to download some stupid app. it makes it so inconvenient and ill never want to use my iphone again to look things up on maps or anything. id be happy running another app or another system to get around this horrible way of trying to get people to download every app you promote.
Awesome app!! I do have a request though...
by BlackKnight0739 on 2020/03/09 22:11
First off! Awesome app! We use it all the time to find new places to eat! My friends and I came up with a cool feature we think the app could use; it’ll make it more social and turn finding a place to eat into a great game! Friend Groups: Groups of friends on Yelp can add each other for all kinds of benefits, such as checking in together or finding a good place to eat! Searching within a similar radius, the group members can vote for whatever restaurants they choose using a swipe system (or even a thumbs up/down selection if that’s copyrighted) and then vote on any matches! Anything that gets a unanimous thumbs up/swipe right automatically wins!
Use it all the time
by Mkematt on 2019/04/26 21:27
Yelp rocks. I use it when I travel, when guests are in town, when it’s date night, just to see what’s new, etc. so I use it a lot. At least a few times a week most weeks, and sometimes multiple times a day. I find it's better than any of the other services like it by a mile. It’s outlasted nearly all the other restaurant review sites for a reason. It’s not perfect, like when I’m in a big city with a ton of options, lots of times I find there are one or two places missing from Yelp. Or if you’re in a small town you’ll find a highly rated place that really isn’t all that great. But that’s hardly Yelps fault. The app rocks. I love it and use it all the time.
It Takes a Village
by NotADan3eM0m on 2019/03/03 20:42
We have traveled all over the world, and thanks to Yelp, our experiences are getting better and better. The Yelp community has some terrific people who provide honest reviews. Because of this, we have not had a bad meal (while traveling) for 2-3 years! In fact, my daughter’s dance group always asks where we are going to eat because Yelp has been so wonderful about helping me find hidden gems in strange cities. The Yelp community has also provided us with some new experiences - reviewing restaurants and shops in areas we would not have ventured on our own. Thank you all for helping me save time and money, and for helping me to provide unique experiences for my kids.
Bugs?? What bugs? My Yelp has no bugs. Please explain.
by mb365 on 2019/01/30 14:42
So I’m asking a question here instead of leaving a review because the App does not present a clear path to do that anywhere. If I get no reply from Yelp. THAT is a bug I want fixed. To this point, I’d like to put forth the argument that many update requests from App developers, including Yelp, are not necessary, at all. And, in fact, may not serve its users, but its developers. Why, you ask? Well, my friends, that is another conversation not for this space. At least not now. A better explanation to motivate user updates is very specific, VERY useful feature additions, and, of course, increased listings. A bland and non descriptive “fixed bugs”, says nothing, and actually has the potential to cover any and all activity and adjustments by the developer, that we users do not want done in the first place. If the update requests that come through by app developers more and more frequently these days are about bugs constantly, why is it that my apps have never crashed or behaved strangely, even as I miss multitudes of updates? Ps: Happy to upgrade the star rating when I get a reply from Yelp. I have no problem with the app itself. It’s the call for updates that I write about here. To be fair, it’s not an exclusive Yelp gripe. It’s for almost all app developers.
So much fun!
by Loonie Lisa on 2019/01/09 03:27
I adore learning about new as well as old local, especially small independent business'. And this is just the place for doing so. Like many I have always taken pictures of my good food. So I continue to go through all my digital photo files finding photos and writting reviews. Some say they 'hide' the unfavorable reviews. But I only want to know of the good anyway. We all have a bad experience from time to time. I just read a bad review of Trader Joe's in Spokane. It was months old and hadn't been hidden? Anyway it is a great way to be in the know and is really fun to participate. Be a foodie, pretend to be a critic, post fun photos and even make friends who enjoy similar finds. So far oh so good.
BIG BIG BIG LIAR
by Doan Grace on 2018/11/06 09:45
Money is their first priority. They don’t care how hard people work to deserve their 5-star review. They have no glue or point except for deleting 5-star review just because you don’t pay for their ads. They told me that they treat those paying customers and non-paying customers the same, but I think that many business owners out there already experienced and knew Yelp is big liar. When you pay, they keep all the 5-star review and pull it to the 1st page. When you don’t pay, they delete those 5-star and pull the 1-star up. What such a dishonest business like that !!!!!! Please please please BOYCOTT YELPPPPPP. There are still google and facebook which are amazing for both customers and business owners. One more thing, they already delete our 23 5-star reviews on our page just because we refuse to pay a penny to them !!!!!! Be aware guysssss, don’t be fooled by this dishonest business !!!!!!
Applebee’s
by Deldra on 2020/01/20 18:44
Very disappointed in they call a “All you can eat “ when it should be called “all u want us to eat “ Mine and my husband was going through difficult times with his toe amputated and him out of work for almost a year . We lost are place and was homeless we had to get food from charities . It’s been a year my husband finally went back to work and we talked about getting the all u can eat and getting full with our first check that we had extra money... ordered the shrimp with 7 pieces of shrimp the fries were cold and hard my husband got the ribs ( a fair amount ) went to order again this time I asked for the ribs it took 45 minutes to bring me a small plate with a small( tiny ) piece of rib) ordered again this time it took longer with a even smaller piece, . Will NEVER go there again beside that the customer service was poor . We had 4/5 different servers. The location 7677 Balboa Ave.
Mooya
by Delayed uodates on 2019/12/19 23:54
Mooya’s on Jefferson has great food, and fantastic service. I keep going back for my elderly mother who discovered them this summer. However, today my order was especially big as I got dinner for the family. Fernando cooked it amazing of course, but he took extra time to label and organize each bag so we’d know what food belonged to who and could dig right in. When you spend $45 + dollars for take out , you really appreciate 1. getting the correct order 2. well made food 3. extra service and attention they give you. I keep coming back because this business deserves my business ! By the way. first time hubby had one of your burgers and let’s just say , he’s a fan now.

I ordered the spicy shrimp with chicken and mixed veggies with steamed rice and was very happy with it but there was an excess of water at the bottom of my plate. by Cowboys_fromHell on 2020/03/30 17:29
The app is terrible, the reviewers think their celebrities based on the amount of reviews, and they’ve recently been scamming people setting up charities without letting people know.

Yelp extorts Money from businesses and during this pandemic they are being rather shady taking donations for business without informing the businesses.

by Afriendofgianna on 2020/03/30 13:58

Go fund me scam
by Bigfatdave123456 on 2020/03/30 12:51

Fake Reviews

by pismodude on 2020/03/30 09:27

Unbelievable

by unicorns for the astute on 2020/03/30 07:24
This is not a review of the app but the company itself.
It is allowed to go straight into Yelp’s pocket.

by orangeyoucute2 on 2020/03/30 05:55
It’s unbelievable they have not been sued back to the Stone Age. by MrMisneach on 2020/03/30 05:18
Yelp used to be a helpful service when the data was based on actual user reviews.

Yelp is criminally unethical and this app is awful
by reallyhotlou on 2020/03/30 04:29
The only reason this app isn't already 1 star is because of you read their app store reviews, you'll notice a ton of their reviews are written by people who think they are reviewing the business they found with Yelp, not the app itself.

Sorry yelp. I’m done.

Applebee’s

Mooya
