Sleepless in New Rochelle
by Msesq on 2019/04/22 02:15
We stayed for 1.5 nights at the Radisson in New Rochelle while attending a wedding. We were on the 6th floor with a beautiful view of Long Island Sound. Unfortunately a block of rooms was reserved for attendees for a wedding who continued to loudly party into the wee hours of the night. The first night we were woken every hour and got little sleep, the second night people were loudly talking in the hallway at 2am and slamming doors. My husband asked them to quite down and got an angry response. The soundproofing between the rooms and hallway was poor. As a result we left at 2:55am to drive home to Connecticut. The hotel is located among a number of car dealers and the area isn’t pleasant for a walk but close to many wedding venues. If you stay here make sure you are not put on a floor with a block of rooms ready to party.
Difficult to use
by Brimsmith on 2019/04/22 02:13
The latest version is very difficult and dissapointing. It’s difficult to figure out how to write a review and the travel map is gone. And helpful votes have disappeared.
Amante’s Italian Cuisine

Had a delicious dinner (Easter) and our waitress, Colette, was great with everything! Best personality! Will request her on our next visit!
Hate the new design
by Cmastrangelom67 on 2019/04/21 23:25
Can no longer sort by city. Has become much more of a social sharing site than a utility site for diners and travelers. Used to be you could look at a city and see all the places you’ve visited no more. Major step backwards.
New London’ Grim Reaper tour given by David Flanagan
by Jo Mennig on 2019/04/21 23:04
It was my last night in London and decided to take the grim reaper tour.... very fortunate to have taken it, and have David Flanagan be our tour guide. The 2 1/2 hours went by incredibly fast, the tour was super Interesting, but David made it so much more special, his passion for history, his knowledge of dates and events, and his delivery made it one of the best tours I have ever taken...I highly recommend it
Looking forward to going back
by keat012 on 2019/04/21 22:21
The service was excellent— they got us in on fairly short notice. The atmosphere is cool and cozy! We loved all of the food we ordered! The burnt ends appetizer melts in your mouth. The scotch flight was a wonderful selection. Burgers and salads were definitely with going back for!
Great!
by salEdawgz on 2019/04/21 22:08
I mostly use trip advisor on my laptop but have no issues with the app. It's a fantastic tool to get reviews on everything and to purchase tours and get desks on hotels and airfare.
Site not working & no response from company
by GoldenAndo on 2019/04/21 20:44
I need to cancel a booking & the button to do so on the site is unresponsive. I’ve written TripAdvisor two times about this and so far no response. Very frustrating!!
Can’t stand this app
by MGW15 on 2019/04/21 17:14
Not user friendly at all. Where can one find ‘attractions’ and why am I always unable to find places which come straight up on Google ? Very difficult to navigate too. Looks to me as though no users were asked for input.

Fairfield inn Muskogee Ok
by tazirv on 2019/04/21 11:47
I began staying at Fairfield in Muskogee over 3 years ago on a regular basis. I moved to Oklahoma City for a new job but had a house and family in Muskogee. The staff and Roma have always been great. They know the room we like so it is usually assigned to us when we arrive. It’s quiet and I-Hop is right in front of it in case we miss the free breakfast! Several close restaurants. 👍👍👍👍👍
The best and completely app

Not what it used to be
by Baffled in Seattle on 2019/04/20 15:38
Tripadvisor used to be my go to site for travel. It is still useful for hotels and restaurants (with some unnecessary effort) but it is now almost useless as a general travel resource. Things to do are organized by type of paid activity rather than as a comprehensive list. So you can only see what they and their advertisers want you to see. Annoying and ultimately has pushed me to go elsewhere to research and book my travel.
Needs work
by P.Solomon on 2019/04/20 15:22
The App resets often loosing filter settings. And what about sorting for vacation rentals these are not the same as AirBNB.its been several years now get vacation rentals sorted....
Reviews
by steponne on 2019/04/20 14:15
I am starting to believe that many of the reviews are not actual reviews from real people or that they have been encouraged or incentivized to post positive reviews. A recommendation would be to start categorizing people based on their profile and serve up reviews by people with similar interests and lifestyles.
Vast Traveling Info

Where Did the Unbiased Travel Rankings Go?
by QuincyKid on 2019/04/20 03:55
Trip Advisor was my “go to” place to find unbiased reviews of Things To Do in the various places we travel annually. Now the rankings are gone and have been replaced by a CHEAP version where any tour guide with a car or boat can pay enough to get listed and the true rankings have been abandoned. Please return to the primal format now!!!!!!!!!

Hate your updates. You’re taking a great simple app and making it far more complicated than it needs to be. Bring back the old simplicity.
Helpful
by Blessed06 on 2019/04/19 14:09
I use it a lot to study areas to which I will be traveling. Gives a flavor as to what I can expect though skewed by the reporters perspective which adds uncertainty. Used to be better with much better reporting for “things to do”.

I always use this app for reliable restaurants and activities everywhere we go. It’s full of great reviews to help you pick the right activities for you. I have never been let down when I use TripAdvisor. I have been disappointed when not using TripAdvisor, always use TripAdvisor when planning your next trip or meal in a new place!

Pizzzzzzzza
by frank9915 on 2019/04/18 02:40
New to Naples Florida 1680 Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza located in the Shops at the Galleria off of Vanderbilt Beach Road. This has to be by far one of the best if not thee best pizza stop in Naples Florida. The O1 is the type of visa issued to the founder of the pizza shops when entering the states from Italy an O1 visa. Not new to the restaurant business he owns three other pizza restaurants in Miami plus Dubai, another opening soon in Barcelona Spain and if not mistaken one in Georgia. Naples is owned and operated by franchise owners that loved the concept they witnessed in Miami that they approached the owner/founder of Mister O1 pizza on opening one in Naples Florida. This is not a typical Italian pizzeria with subs pastas and all the trimmings, just good ole outstanding pizza and salads. Yes there is beer wine soda Etc: no bar though just the best pizza we have experienced in Naples. Flour plus tomatoes imported from Italy which shows in the taste and flavor of their product. Nothing fancy about the interior just outstanding food made from scratch. We tried the margarita pizza with Caesar salad and the all new to us Star pizza. Star pizza can be made with any of the pizzas listed on the menu. Shaped somewhat like a Star the corners of crust is rolled up and filled with ricotta cheese. Another point I haven’t discussed, this is extraordinary thin thin pizza the way we love it crispy on the bottom and around the edges. Service is outstanding soft oldtime rock&roll plays in the background staff very friendly and helpful if needed in assisting making a choice if your not sure which pizza to try. Caesar salad one of best we have had around this town and can’t go wrong it comes out big enough for two. Prices are reasonable and there is takeout orders available also. We chatted with the young lady whom by the way is the owner and the company chef who over sees the operation of the preparation in all the locations stateside. Chef is from the Amalfi Coast of Italy so great pizza is in his blood. Think of pizza and San Marzano tomatoes think naples Italy, Italy’s pizza capital. In the area looking for spot have lunch/dinner casual with your mate or friends give this a try you’ll be so glad you did. There are pizzas and then there is Mister O1 Extraordinary pizza by far one of the best in this town if not thee best. Enjoy pizza lovers.
We loved TripAdvisor :(
by Happy Shopper on 2019/04/18 00:18
We used to use Trip Advisor to plan our trips. We planned all our meals and activities using the My Trips feature. All that functionality is gone. What happened?! We are going on a trip in less than 2 weeks and are struggling to find a new way to plan our trip.
HATE the update!
by RGura on 2019/04/17 23:49
Removed the ability to plan a trip! You can no longer add dates to your trip and assign locations to dates to plan out your trip. This was the main thing we used TripAdvisor for. Also, half the time links to websites and maps don’t work. Fix it!
You have screwed up the app
by ewilliams359 on 2019/04/17 20:41

My “Go to” Trip Guide
by SSM49 on 2019/04/17 20:13
I use this app everywhere. Need to know the best local restaurants? The up-to-date reviews are here! Need a great place to stay or what to do? It’s here! Working off a budget? Everything is rated by price-budget to expensive. Need a tour guide? People who have been to your destination share their best insights. Just a great practical travel tool!

Called to check luggage lower floor space Found 3 ostrich eggs ( bought at an outdoor stand ) and one kudu horn bought at a major hotel gift shop. NOT LEGAL told But if you help me I will help you, otherwise we have to wait for officials from Harare to inspect. A handshake of $20 dollars solved the impasse It might be common but not used to it Very annoying.
Rome Food Tour by Sunset around Prati District
by Roberya R on 2019/04/17 06:42
Dominico was amazing! He took us around to several restaurants with tastes of delicious food and explanations. He had a way of making the experience so much fun- especially tasting 11 different Roman pizzas. He had us introduce ourself at the start ( I was traveling alone) so by the end of the tour we all felt like we knew each other for years and were celebrating with family. Don’t miss this tour!
A great resource!

So frustrating since the “social media” changes
by donnaray on 2019/04/17 06:33
I can’t imagine wanting to “follow” someone on this (or any) app. They have absolutely destroyed what used to be a helpful trip planning app. Nothing on the home page is relevant. Can’t even search my own reviews by city anymore. It’s just awful. I’ve never used yelp but guess I have to consider it.
Application that helps
by sophie7776 on 2019/04/17 04:10
I would like to recommend TripAdvisor as it is one of the best applications that could be invested by human. Here you can compare prices, write reviews and read about experience of others to take them into consideration 🙌 I love this app and suggest to every traveler who loves helping people 😜
Advantage car rental, Denver CO
by alicias travel on 2019/04/17 03:04
Late arrival, late van pick up in a van with worn out seats. Dirty lobby and a line of 11 persons waiting, then we unload and then another line of customers arrive and they are not even done with the first group. Long lines is true and I will MT use them again.
Cash or credit

It would be helpful to know which restaurants are cash only or take credit cards, esp in Mexico (Puerto Vallarta).
Great Seafood
by daddadsC on 2019/04/17 00:48
If going to Fl. on I- 95, stop at Yulee ( Fl AIA/200), turn left on AIA, go about 2 miles and stop at Jr’s. Seafood Rest. and Grill(across from the Chevrolet Dealer) for the best seafood you’ve ever eaten!! A casual and friendly family environment, you will be surprised at the quality of fresh seafood and the very reasonable prices. Order from a varied menu of seafood dinners, find a seat already set up and your order is delivered within a short time by attractive and friendly servers! The quality of food is outstanding and you will not leave hungry. Call before you go to make sure they have plenty of room for your party - 904-310-6922. This is definiently a “best kept secret” seafood restruant!!
This version isn't as useful as the previous
by SnowAgent on 2019/04/17 00:25
I've used TripAdvisor on many trips to places where there's no cell or wifi reception. What was helpful was the ability to download cities or specific info on to your phone. This way you can at least see the information when you are offline. However, the new version doesn't have that feature any more. On a recent trip, I had to use another app to look up and save locations.
Travel Essential Tool
by Jean Huang Photography on 2019/04/16 23:48
TripAdvisor has been an essential tool for both researching site before the trip and looking things up during. I’ve also relied on TripAdvisor for restaurants. The only improvement that I’d like to see is in the search function of Trips. For some reason, not all items saved show up on the map. It’s extremely difficult to search for one trip once you’ve accumulated a lot. Right now, scrolling down a long list seems to be the only option. It would be nice to be able to search by a keyword and all items saved in a trip with that keyword would show up.

Other rating apps don’t compare
by ironsnob on 2019/04/16 16:58
This app provides so much more information than other apps. If you are looking for restaurants or types of food, use this app. If you are looking for hotel information, use this app. If you’re looking for things to do while traveling, use this app. I haven’t made flight reservations yet, but if those are as easy as everything else, I will be using TripAdvisor for flights as well. They’ve done a good job.

Myrtle beach pin ball museum
by surfsidebeachbum on 2019/04/16 12:11
I finally had the opportunity to go to the pin ball museum in Myrtle Beach SC. I was amazed at the range and diversity of the machines. You pay for One hour of unlimited play on the 20+ machines. Some date back to 1976 up to the present. There were themed games like Star Wars, Hot Wheels ,Wheel of Fortune just to name a few. Jerry the owner was on site to chat with too. You gotta go. Google it for more info. Al from Surfside Beach.
Excelente referencia
by Malemar22 on 2019/04/16 06:43
Mrs Wilkes diner is a must Savannah visit
by Ce Ce jabber on 2019/04/16 05:59
We were at this popular restaurant this April. Good to get there before it opens because they do not take reservations and there is a very long line. As someone leaves, someone goes in. Dining is family style and 10 to a table there must be over 29 different Southern types of food served and the bowls keep getting refilled. There is a set lunch price. Think it was 25 dollars which included all the different foods and beverage. My husband loved the fried chicken and said it was best he ever had. I liked the custard type sweet potatoes and bar b qued pork ...so many things to try... friendly staff and good food💕
New Feed Feature Ruins It
by Trinity Amber on 2019/04/16 03:33
I don’t need another Facebook. I used this app all the time to research hotels and activities and information for a location but this new “newsfeed” type feature ruins it. I can’t get to the real travel research I need to do because I am now stuck in some feed of articles about a destination. I find it so frustrating that after just a few days of using it I am ready to delete an app that has been my travel planning mainstay for years.

A Great Guide
by Bigbdmama on 2019/04/15 23:43
TripAdvisor has become my go to guide for any area I’m visiting. I read ALL the comments, even if there are 600! The people who write are a good barometer of what to watch out for or expect. I use my judgement as to what to pay attention to and often find that I’m happy with my decisions. Thank you TripAdvisor!

Filtering
by auradis on 2019/04/15 16:54
Don’t like that it automatically sorts by “best value” and inputs some random travel dates. I understand that they need to turn a profit, but this is poor user experience when I’m just trying to look at the best hotels in a city. And when I filter to sort by traveler ranking, the app stops working.
When did this app update 😩
by rickrandrell123456789 on 2019/04/15 15:32
I was using this app for a couple of years and I go to log in recently and it’s starting to remind me of social media. I come to this app to find trips and things to do but it’s hard because I see a format that reminds me of Facebook and I can just go to Facebook if I wanted this experience.
Hmm...
by Angus Mackauley on 2019/04/15 14:54
leaves much to be desired, as hotels on the list are apparently not checked first hand where i go
Really good app! (& a suggestion to make it even better).
by GFBDIS on 2019/04/15 13:05
TA has become my go-to app for restaurants, places to go, etc. Very useful for everything from what’s good to what’s open. One suggestion would, for me, make it even better. I have many “Trips” saved in TA for places I’ve either been, or am planning/hoping to visit. The downer is that when you go to “Trips”, they’re not listed in alphabetical order, at least not automatically. If there’s a way to do so, I haven’t found it. So, if it is available, please simply tell me how to utilize that feature. If it’s not, please consider making it that way. It could either be by name of city, or by state, or maybe better yet, the option to have groupings by state and then the cities within the state alphabetized accordingly. Please advise as to whether you can and/or will make that improvement, and hopefully, an estimated completion date. Thx

Paul was awesome!
by BMW101074 on 2019/04/15 05:05
Today was my husband’s and I 1 year anniversary. We thought it would be a great idea to take a historical tour to celebrate because we are history nerds. We got more than what we paid for. I am not sure if all the tour guides are as awesome as Paul but he definitely made it worth our time. Not only did we learn about the architecture, voodoo, history and demographics of NOLA, he was very passionate about the ill treatment of slaves and other immigrants. He ended the tour with a powerful message of love, hope and faith. I was blown away and moved by his passion for life and the current state of the world. I would recommend this tour a million times over. The next time we are in NOLA we will be doing it again and asking for the crazy rainbow hair, beautiful Paul!

I use Trip Adviser regularly. I write honest reviews and I depend on others to do the same so I can get the Trip Adviser community viewpoints on what’s the go-to places. Every trip I go on, I use the app at least once daily. I’ve come to rely on it. Yes, what they said!😉 Depend on my Trip Adviser!

We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival at WFCG. Greeted by Amanda who gave exceptional customer service, and was surprised by the private escort with assistance in parking to our perfect site, situated directly across from the falls. Great little getaway, lots of fun, pool hall, shuffleboard, pickle ball, great breakfast! Clean bathroom too.
Нет нормального описания.
by Irisha Komaro on 2019/04/14 21:16
Не удобно что под названием объекта (которое иногда на русском, иногда на английском языке) нет краткого описания самого объекта. Иногда по названию и фото даже не понятно, что это. И чтобы разобраться что это такое, нужно смотреть отзывы.

I use this app everywhere we go. I try to see where the hidden gems are and also love doing reviews of the places we try out. I typically look for place to try by using it as well. I haven’t been steered wrong yet, and as long as you read several opinions you can’t go wrong. A must have on every new adventure!

I do not go anywhere out of town that I don’t check Trip Advisor to find a hotel, things to do, or where to eat! I highly recommend using. It can save you some money and from having a really bad meal or hotel stay!
Very helpful

Good site/app to locate restaurants and hotels. Map needs to be improved. And updated on a regular basis. My wife likes Trip Advisor more than me. Worth the time. As usual. It takes time to learn the app/site. Be cool.

Belize vacation “2019”
by Belizean lady on 2019/04/13 16:00
Had a great time when I went on vacation in January with my family and friends, our first stop was eating at the shrimp farm , called “Captain Hook” great place to eat , right down the road going north from the airport, we went straight there from the air port, as it was getting late and we were hungry. We then drove to our hotel in Belize city, “Princess Hotel” one of the best to stay in Belize city, they have a casino, and across the street is another casino named “Tropicana” (not sure if affiliated with the one in Las Vegas, N V ) We stayed there overnight since we landed late and did not want to drive at night to our destination up North, which is Corozal, (my home, sweet hometown)The hotel and casino also offer free breakfast, very delicious, and depending on which day you’re there they offer different food, with also local dishes. We then moved on to Corozal the following day, but not before circling Belize city, taking pictures at Baron Bliss Grave, the Belize sign, then moving on to Corozal and stopping at Altun Ha the Maya Ruin, we then arrived in Corozal, which we then relaxed, to continue our sight seeing, the next day, we then went , zip lining and cave tubing, also stopped at the zoo, on our way back, that was a Saturday, the Sunday we went to Caye Caulker, and spent the day there with family, Monday we went to Lamanai maya ruin, the tour guide was great for all our trips they were very knowledgeable, and we were served local food at all of them which was great, Tuesday we drove to Placencia, which is beautiful it’s a must visit, also, we stayed over night and returned Wednesday night, to relax again and get up early Thursday to go on to San Pedro Ambergis caye, one of the best islands to visit also, it’s just getting too congested now with tourist and too Americanized. But we had a great time, we stayed at Xanadu Resort , which is also great, but a little too pricy, they could have given a better deal seeing I’m a local, and stayed there before, also seek out “Secret Beach” while there. You’ll enjoy it, its a little way out, but you can get there by golf cart, which we rented, lots of things and great places to eat and do there, it’s your choice, make it fun, we did, sorry this was too long, but I wanted to include my entire vacation that was so great, we also went fishing my grandson, (9 years old) caught a big fish, we also visited “ Old Belize” great for tourist too, and also locals to remind us of how we lived back in the day , that concludes my vacation “2019” in Belize, Central American
Viking Cruise Venice to Athens
by kamabesu on 2019/04/13 15:57
What a remarkable 10 days. It was our first Viking Cruise and it was wonderful. The team that puts together the off ship tours is truly 5 star. The advertising on PBS is spot on. You really do have magical moments with the people of the country you are visiting. It is special and intimate. We had an operatic performance in a villa in Venice. The owner welcomed us to his family home of 700 years and served Prosecco from his vineyards. The performance of famous arias and duets was worthy of The Met. Bravo Don’t miss a day of touring they were all equally spectacular. Food off the ship is much better than on. The Italian Resturant was good. The Chefs table, poor. How many ways can you steam cod? How many courses can you embellish with “espoma “? I guess the answer is unlimited. Our Jr Suite was very spacious and the perk we especially used was free laundry and dry cleaning. The free mini bar was so so as it had lower quality liquor offerings. The crew was fabulous. Very kind and attentive. We look forward to our next Viking Cruise as the tours run seemlessly and are high quality.
Three Rs at the Residence Inn, Myrtle Beach
by Margaret and Jim on 2019/04/13 15:06
During the week of March 25,2019, Margaret and I enjoyed a very pleasing stay at the new Residence Inn at Myrtle Beach. Fun recreation, tasty refreshments and timeless relaxation. Joe May, Savanah and Paula responded to our needs at the front desk, and Clarissa, Tasha and Teresa ensured that our suite was refreshed each day. Charles at the bar helped with liquid refreshments, and Queens, Donna, Patricia and others provided a delicious breakfast each morning. Dinner at the hotel was sumptuous. Sea Captain’s House and Damon’s served tasty lunches each day. Take you to Glenn for assisting with the television hookup. Although the hotel opened less than two weeks prior to our arrival, minor construction and installation tasks were underway, with no impact on our stay. Chris Funderburk , Sree Organization provided us with a snapshot of the remaking tasks, and offered advise on other Sree operates hotels. Beginning with Mr. May, thank you all for a fantastic, pleasurable vacation.
I use this app and contribute to it as well
by ColoradoBen on 2019/04/13 15:00
This app is easy to use, easy to read and makes me happy! When I’ve had a bad day, this app fills me with new dreams about what others are doing. For me, a facility or activity either meets my expectations or not. Not a lot of in-between. I don’t wish to compare a fast food place to fine dining — not really fair. But comparing like to like. This app allows me to accomplish this in my own little way and I’m grateful that so many others contribute. And I’ve found 98% of the comments to have at least some validity. The flamers are obvious. The honest reviews are also obvious.
Great ap
by 🐊Go Gators on 2019/03/03 21:41
I do check the reviews good and bad for restaurants, hotels and the like and with few exceptions I find them accurate. When you see largely positive comments they usually lead you to a great place. Any restaurant or hotel can have a bad day or month. Staffing levels change or the best chef may be on vacation- but over time cream rises to the top. So I use the app all the time and it leads me to great places I may have never tried from great modestly priced joints to Michelin stared restaurants or even a great Lebanese place I would have likely not tried but for so many positive reviews- that happened to be very accurate! I think shared experiences over time show if a place can sustain quality- so if you read reviews or write them, be fair and look to the averages of how a place sustains success as opposed to outliers of a really negative person who is hypercritical because of something the majority of reviewers don’t comment on. I would use the Ap to expand where you travel and what experience you are open to! But look beyond the best and worst reviews as potential outliers. Someone who never travels might think too highly or too badly about an experience. Check out lots of comments- sometimes people complain about things that are trivial and at other times complaint would affect your visiting a place. Someone upset that staff didn’t leave enough towels without being asked for more may be relevant or irrelevant depending on your view, have fun traveling!
Trihari Hotel Rishikesh... home away from home
by maui aloha on 2019/03/23 04:39
🌺Aloha! I stayed in this hotel for almost 6 weeks along with another friend. We are older women from Hawaii and London. I have managed bed and breakfast places as well as traveled India since 1981. The hotel is safe, quiet, clean and client friendly. Large rooms with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms with lots of hot water, big windows for light and heater or a/c. Lights never go off as they have a generator. Deepak is the manager and attends to all your needs and questions with true caring. The neighborhood is friendly and walking anytime is a safe fun experience..,, get away from tourist scene to The Ganga and it is a 15 min walk up to Ram Juhla by the river. Transportation is close by and cheap to get anywhere. The hotel rates are very reasonable and the restaurant has quality food... room service is available. We felt we were very fortunate to find this hotel..., as it was more than this. It became a friendly affordable place to enjoy and feel at home. Many other westerners that were here agreed. They also were staying 3 to 5 weeks. Everyone is happy to return next year to this same hotel. Mother Miracle Bakery with great coffee and desserts is a seven minute walk away. Ira’s Cafe, a true Japanese Restaurant and Italian Restaurant are in Tapavon, along with many other great places to explore. Enjoy! 😎
Easy Tours of India
by chawks12fan on 2019/02/23 17:01
Just returned from a fantastic trip through India using Easy Tours of India. My wife and I were very pleased with the tour that we had of India over the last three weeks. With Easy Tours of India everything was planned out and services rendered were wonderful. All of our guides, drivers and local guides were excellent. We always felt very safe and gained a lot of knowledge and insight into India because of our guides and tour directors. Hotels were superb and had great buffet breakfast every morning for starting our day. Because of the excellent hotels it was nice to end a day of touring at a beautiful hotel. Sometimes we stayed in former palaces and this made a very special touch to the trip. My wife and I originally signed up for a group tour but ended up in a private tour. We received a lot more hands-on experiences and were allowed to spend as much time or as long as we wanted to at different sites and restaurants. Food was excellent the whole way through the trip. We never got sick and we ate at street food stalls in a couple of the locations. This turned out to be an amazing trip because of the local and special services we received from easy tours India. Highly recommend them if you’re interested in a tour of India.
Great for Traveling!
by LB7123 on 2019/03/12 13:00
This app is so helpful in planning trips to various cities! I can see what hotels are available in what area of town and the pricing for each. The mapping program pops up which makes this process very quick. I can touch various hotels and see exact reviews which allows me to see if their stars are based on recent good reviews or bad reviews. This has allowed me to visit new cities and still get a good nights sleep! Woohoo! The restaurant section allows me to pick via map to a specific part of town or via type of food I’m hungry for at the moment. It also lists it via cheap eats or fine dining. This is very helpful! The things to do has been an awesome part of this app and is my personal favorite part. I can look at a specific city and find museums, art galleries, gardens, nature trails, etc. However, that’s not all this app does! I can also use it via the map to find unusual things to do along my drive. Yes, rural towns have hidden gems in them! And some of those drives in the middle of nowhere have hidden scenic lookouts or historic museums that I would have missed if it were not for this app. I’m so thankful for it and literally use it all the time! I highly recommend it!
Don’t like how TripAdvisor has changed!
by akwoman on 2019/04/04 13:35
I’ve been using TripAdvisor for years and I really don’t like how when you search for “things to do” all you see are tour options. You can’t even find just the attraction by itself. I liked looking at an attraction, such as the Eiffel Tower, and reading people’s reviews on the attraction itself. Like I’d like to know if it’s worth going to the top of the Eiffel Tower or not. Now all you find are reviews on tours or just how to buy tickets and all the zillion ways to buy tickets to the attraction. Very frustrating and not helpful. Also in the past you could plan your trip and schedule attractions for different days. I’ve been trying to figure out how to do that for my upcoming trip, so either it’s not available anymore or they have made it very difficult to figure out. I used to love this app and all the helpful reviews and information on where to go. Now all it is is trying to sell you something. I will be looking for other options for planning a trip! (Side note: I am not one to write bad reviews for 1 aggravating experience. There’s always a possibility that my bad experience was an unusual event and I don’t want rate someone or something badly in case my experience was an unusual one. So for me to write this review means I have been very disappointed on many occasions.) TripAdvisor, PLEASE go back to and App of information instead of trying to sell everything!
Love it for business and personal trips!
by NuclearWynter on 2019/02/24 19:29
I travel quite a bit for business and even more for pleasure and this app is perfect for both. On business trips, I can put in the city I’m visiting and when I’m going and it gives me restaurants options and the most popular things to do. I can read reviews from other helpful travelers that give me thing to looks out for and best times to go places. When I travel for pleasure, I start with Trip Advisor. I get a destination in mind and save hotels/vacation homes, activities and transportation info to the trip and have it all planned out before I book. I also use the app for planning with others. I planned a girls trip to Jamaica with my friends and was able to send them the details to review before we booked. I was able to book a lake house in NC for a Thanksgiving dinner my family is planning this year. I think the next step for the app is allowing splitting of payments for different things or allowing multiple payers. Also being able to joint plan a trip would be nice. Overall though I have no complaints about the app and love using it. I love leaving reviews for places I’ve been an helping other fellow travelers.
Fantastic Resort
by MHutch0528 on 2019/02/08 12:49
We went to the Baha Mar on a girls get-a-way for 4 nights 5 days. Stayed at the Baha Mar Hyatt West. Exceeded all expectations. Absolutely beautiful. Pools were amazing, beaches fantastic, room spotless, even pool bathrooms were spotless, plenty of seats so NO need to get up at 6AM and grab a lounge chair. There were so many food options. We had access to the Grand Club which had so many options for breakfast and dinner. We took full advantage of that. Snacks, water, soft drinks in the afternoon. Coffee espresso and specialty coffees all day. Huge plus. They had beer, wine and cocktails in the evening at the lounge. The resort is truly a gem. John D’Angelo the manager went over and above to make sure we had a great time. Really made it very special. A special “thank you” to Locksley Brown, Grand Club Attendant. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. He was so professional but he shared some very funny stories. There is so much the hotel offers in activities. You can do as much or as little as you choose. I highly recommend this resort. The boat ride to the island with the dolphins and sting rays was very fun. Would love to go back for a full week.

Love this app but use improvements
by Teddy bear babe on 2018/08/18 17:29
I use this app almost every time we go to a new city to find what food is good and where to eat. That being said there are some improvements I would like to see. 1. For vegetarians and vegans the app can be a little difficult to navigate. One change I would like to see is in phrasing and searching filters. There is a difference between vegetarian/ vegan restaraunts and a restaurant having vegan/vegetarian options. The app currently does not show the difference which can be vexing. 2. Another change I would like to see is in the search. Often times i go on here to find food between point a and point b but currently there is not a way to search along that route or slightly off from it. Yes you can go through each address and see but for tourists this can be difficult and additional time to your task. It’s a good time to mention that even if these changes don’t occur I will keep using the app but it would be nice to see a change to help support those of us with different diets. And not just non-meat eaters but, gluten free eaters, paleo people or even those that have a lot of allergies to food such as nuts, milk, eggs and more.
Excellence Oyster Bay a treat
by DickDynasty on 2018/12/09 01:37
After reminding the reservation desk, who made many mistakes on my name, that this was our FOURTH stay at an Excellence resort—we kindly began receiving little perks and special beverages in our suite throughout the week. The accommodations were very nice—having requested an ocean view room because it was just a little bit more than our normal requested accommodations. Layout of this room was spacious, and a truly private balcony where we could look at the endless view of the ocean, while listening to the calming sounds with 87 degrees and sunny most every day—and pretty low humidity! Got breezy over two days, which is cooling when you’re under the hot sun. PLENTY of beach lounges available.. on no one tried to reserve them as even visitors must have adopted he “Jamaica Way” of doing things...slow and easy NO rush, “mon!!! This comes to my only complaint: the waitresses around the pool area are SO SLOW at taking and delivering your order..then disappear for long stretches of time! Normally I’m quite a critic of places but THIS Excellence lived up to its name in the two reasons I frequent their resorts: Service and Sun!
I found many people to be rude for no reason
by TiNyJALEPENO on 2019/03/08 15:56
I suggest looking elsewhere and honestly reddit is much more helpful. I posted a couple things, but they were simple questions about atms. People then told me I should research and soon I would be asking about shootings where I am staying? I don’t get how I can be so stupid for simply asking about the atms and which ones to use because people’s cards were being read and used in Indonesia. I then went on to read multiple reviews and I was really taken back by how many unnecessarily rude people are on there. Some people on there do ask naive questions, but the point of the app is to help people. Anytime I told someone they were being rude my comment was deleted by the staff. I’m not sure why because I never cursed I just told the people they were being unnecessarily rude and pretentious. But maybe pretentious was taken as not following their guidelines? Because technically I called them a name? Not sure. Anyways besides people being not very helpful I also found reviews to be lacking. There are so many spots I went to in Puerto Escondido that were amazing and not mentioned. So I would suggest speaking to locals wherever you go. Trip advisor may be helpful to some, but honestly I think reddit is much better. I thought Yelp was bad, but this app and it’s staff are in no way helpful.
Good App
by zionawe on 2019/03/02 16:18
I use this app a lot when traveling and even more so in the planning phase. Lot of great information from reviews for places we never have seen but might be considering. TripAdvisor has made traveling much easier, especially when in need of a hotel after being on the road all day sightseeing. We rarely spend more than one night in a location so we can cover a lot more ground and this app has allowed us to be extremely flexible. The only thing I really don't care for on the app is that I have to enter a city name to find things to do in a particular area if the park or activity is not common knowledge. For instance, if we're thinking of visiting Newberry National Volcanic Monument, in Oregon, I can't just type the monument's name because it'll try to take me to a town called Newberry in one of five different states, none of which are in Oregon. So, in order for the app to bring up the monument, I have to type "Bend, Oregon." I should just be able to type in the name of the park since it's already in TripAdvisor's system. Maybe it's a small thing , but it really annoys me. Other than that it's a great app.
This is the best place to find ratings and details about hotels, restaurants, etc.
by Bob WW on 2019/02/12 17:30
I evaluate most of the hotels, restaurants, and local sights on TripAdvisor. I only rarely have to give bad ratings since I have checked in advance on TripAdvisor. By reading many reviews you can quickly get a good idea of each rated place. Note that some reviewers are always negative - either they are never satisfied or they are so grumpy that they have brought out the worst in everyone they meet. When hundreds of visitors have given a place “excellent” or “very good” ratings, usually the few bad ratings are due to such trolls. I usually do read several negative ratings - bad days do occur and there are flaws in everything and it can help you to notice those flaws - but if most people liked it, I will probably like it too. I have used “Yelp” at times for restaurant reviews (sometimes searching sends me to Yelp). It is ok, but I have not usually found it more convenient. I am less familiar with it - and I have never posted a rating there.
Love the app, however...
by Soflaguy63 on 2018/04/10 18:36
I have used the Trip Advisor app for years and found it to be very helpful. However, in this era of stored data abuses, I find it annoying that I can not erase my recent search history. Some will argue why this is an issue so I will share an issue that a co-worker had with the Trip Advisor app. My co-worker was planning on surprising his wife with a romantic mid-week trip at an oceanfront resort 40 miles from his home. He used Trip Advisor to find the best accommodations available. He has the Trip Advisor app on both his iPhone and iPad. After determining that this type of trip wasn’t in his budget, he decided to wait and save a little bit of money each week. Well, sometime later, his wife was using the iPad and Trip Advisor to research a restaurant in the area for a family dinner. While she was in the app, she noticed his history. She was also noticing that he was taking money from their savings account (money he was saving for their romantic weekend.) Anyhow, my co-workers wife’s man hating sister had her convinced that he was having an affair. No need to keep going on this story as I am sure you all get it. Once Trip Advisor allows search history to be deleted, I will amend my 2 star rating.
Bad Bad Customer Service, Don’t stay here better options!!
by Wrldclass2019 on 2019/02/26 04:42
Today we stayed here and went directly to bed since my husband and i was sick and weak. Our family wanted to bring us medicine and we politely ask the front desk if they could bring it upstairs and leave immediately. The man in reception said”No!” That they would have to pay $250 each just to bring it upstairs!! My husband pleaded him since we were so week to get out of bed, my husband told him what awful standards and that’s why people don’t come to this country because of people like him besides all the crime. He came and pounded on our door and wanted to beat my husband up for calling him negligent, even his bell boy that came with him had to hold him down to prevent hitting my husband who was bedridden and weak! Of course my husband got very upset and he said his name is Humberto in which I’m sure is false. I had to go downstairs from the fifth floor to get my meds and food. And i told him in front of his employees how deplorable service and what a thief and inconsiderate he was and how he went personally upstairs to beat my husband up. Don’t stay here, there are plenty of options and hot water and cleaner hotels. Boycott this place or you will regret. He even claim that he was the owner!!! Bad experience terrible.
Great app but tired of some of the questions
by Hearing in LA! on 2019/03/06 22:45
I like the app and have used it for both evaluating and reviewing restaurants, hotels, and things to do all over the world. It is fairly easy to use but have found 1 issue that was only cleared up after I sent a message to Trip Advisor. When adding a new location of any type, a website or social media listing is shown being “optional.” I have found that if the new location does not have a website or not listed on social media, TA will reject the listing without explanation. This was very frustrating after going through all the detail of listing 2 new restaurants and having them rejected without explanation. There should be a note requiring website or social media address before going through details of a new listing. A point that not only perturbs but concerns me greatly is I am totally offended by constantly being asked if a restaurant offers halal food. It is very discriminatory to single this out. I do not nor will I ever eat this food so stop asking me this offense question!!!!
Really helps RVers, more & more as people utilize
by frequent TA user on 2018/02/19 02:30
In travel, this app is priceless! Particularly traveling to a new destination, helps tremendously with restaurant info. and directions! Ditto for events, attractions. Much better than Around Me, which we hardly use anymore. Even at home, we use it when the inevitable question “where should we go eat?” arises. Especially when wanting something other than our usual go-tos. Breakfast lunch or dinner, or even Happy Hr. it sure helps. Can really tell a difference in the App since we retired 3 years ago and began more extended RV trips - more RV parks and public campgrounds being listed and reviewed, all the time. Pictures help soo much as well as specific site info., amenities, when trying to find a place to camp. And Especially when looking for a place to eat, sightsee or shop for fresh seafood/meats in a new place, we find TA invaluable. The more people use and review, the better it gets. And the app updates have made it better. Keep up the good work, TA!
Love The App Except . . .
by rekampam on 2019/03/04 16:06
One of the best Travel Apps available, with access to helpful reviews to help make better destination decisions. And because reasonable reviews help us make travel decisions, we also like to post solid reviews that might assist others. The one real difficulty with the Trip Advisor App is posting photos to reviews, even one’s own reviews. It seems that even when following Trip Advisor’s own HOW-TO directions, it is difficult to successfully add photos. Either the app wants access to all (thousands) of the photos on our devices, or using the “Profile/Intro/Upload The Photo/Add a Location Tag” method allows the app to see only the few photos in the “Camera Roll” and “My Photo Stream” folders, but will not allow access any of the specific “Albums” on our phone or tablet where individual trip photos are stored. If it wasn’t for the photo posting obstacle, the app would get 5 stars. It would be great if a simpler and more straightforward method was available for adding photos. Thanks very much.
Unfortunately, not the best app
by jimmm_nyc on 2019/02/19 04:12
The addresses and maps are often incorrect on TripAdvisor. Many times I’ve made location edits with TripAdvisor and a few times TripAdvisor has accepted & changed the map locations to the correct spot on the map. However, most often TripAdvisor does not edit the map information and the location continues to be completely incorrect. Therefore, I would not depend on TripAdvisor for the correct address or map location. Instagram will do this for you though, with lots of fantastic and beautiful photos on Instagram. There’s plenty of different apps and online resources for you to double check locations of hotel, restaurant, tours, etc because TripAdvisor is not trustworthy on giving the correct location. It’s almost like going to the doctor and getting a second opinion. Always double check the facts! TripAdvisor, I guess, is in its infancy stages and hopefully it will get better. Meanwhile, Instagram exceeds all the other apps for a lot of useful “sharing” information to help you make your decision of where to stay & eat.... & places to visit.

Just amazing and comfortable

Terrazza has a spectacular view of Como lake and feel. All of the staff must be cherry picked as the best available. I travel quite a lot and the staff at terrazza provide a very warm and welcoming feeling that you just do not find in a service business. Okay, this is italy and generally you find pleasant staff at most restaurants, but Terrazza is a top 1% when it comes to personable, pleasant, and attentive. The management must be at the root of this experience. I say this because all of the staff are at the top of their game. I have been there a few times and always the experience is excellent. No bad days... complements to the staff and the management! Now I can recognize some of the outstanding staff; Clara, Giuseppe T, Daniele, and Denise! And I must say the chef, Tiziana, that joined in 2018 has transformed the culinarily experience to make this restaurant a top in Como and a hidden Gem. Get there quick because the word of the experience is spreading! Overall, 5 star experience and atmosphere.
Fatima, Nazaré, San Martinho do Porto, Óbidos

Our excursion was fabulous! Our guide, Andre, was prompt, spoke excellent English, was extremely knowledgeable of the history on our tour stops as well as other Portuguese facts. He did not rush us from any of our stops and took incredible pictures for us at these beautiful sights. He told us how we could get our religious articles blesses in Fatima! We had enough time to explore on our own at each location. Each stop had a different vibe-religious, historic, nautical/nature. It gave us a comprehensive feel of Portugal. Andre went above and beyond for our small group-each group spoke different languages and he communicated equally and fluently to both groups. Our day excursion went beyond the recommended time and he was as pleasant, accommodating and funny at the end as he was in the morning! This man certainly found his niche in this business!! The company was excellent with communicating and adjusting our reservation. HIGHLY recommend this tour and tour guide
The ratings they give to those who review is a scam!
by Dawn3547 on 2018/10/26 23:44
I have submitted nearly 100 reviews over the years which I have enjoyed doing but what bothers me is the “rewards” and badges given to those who review and the badgering they do to lure you into making more reviews to be “the top reviewer in your area”. Or, “you are 2 reviews away from receiving Photographer status”, etc!!!!! I write reviews in order to share my excitement or dissatisfaction with a place of service. The place has to be pretty bad for me to complain- the businesses we review can make or break someone’s business.... that’s a serious responsibility. I take re Jewish g seriously. My reason for 2 stars for Trip Advisor is the giving of rewards for which nothing is actually given. It’s enough reward for me to be able to help a fellow traveler but be straight with your reviewers. If you award “trophies” at least back them up with a small discount on a hotel, or a meal, etc! I am a member of many rewards clubs for gasoline, restaurants, or shopping venues. These are great perks and command my loyalty. Wouldn’t that be nice if Trip Advisor extended this appreciation to its reviewers? Just saying........😁
Dependably yummy!

December 2018: Took 2 out-of-town girlfriends. Very tasty lemony chicken breast with capers, rice, grilled asparagus (nightly special) and HGF burger with fries. Creme brûlée delicious. Not too noisy. Late October 2018: Took 7 out-of-town childhood girlfriends. Ultimately it turned out fine BUT a near fiasco at first: our reservation was lost (even though we’d called twice); we ended up after a 30 minute wait asking to seat us anywhere; we ended up as a table of 4 up front and a table of 3 in the very back. Fortunately, everyone liked what they’d ordered: lasagna, a shrimp and pasta dish, chicken, bison burger. Sorry can’t recall more specifically, but basically from the menu. The waitress gave each table a dessert gratis and we loved the creme brûlée! Early October 2018: my companion and I loved our late dinner at the bar! Bison burger for me was tasty, not greasy, nicely topped with cheese and lettuce and tomato. Companion’s chicken sandwich was goodly sized, nicely fried and well seasoned. He really liked the fries too. Wonderful bartender- can’t recall his name, darn it! Lucky to have this in lil ole Weaverville.
Great App But Could Use Improvements
by Island Sparkles on 2018/04/29 12:03
I use TripAdvisor quite often to review my experiences at hotels, restaurants and attraction areas as well as read the reviews of others when deciding on areas and places to visit. It would be great if TripAdvisor would add cruise lines to their portfolio of things that can be reviewed as I am getting ready to take a cruise and would love to share my experience when I return. I have had some difficulties when trying to write reviews for locations or places that are not yet listed in the app. This has been very frustrating as you do not realize that your review will not get published until after you go through all that effort to write the review and include pictures etc. Additionally, I would like to see some incentives or benefits for members that take the time to write all of these reviews to inform the general public of their experiences. I have written 105 reviews, and I have not yet received any type of incentives i.e. discounts to restaurants, hotels, attractions etc. Granted, I do not write these reviews for any type of reward. I write them because it benefits me when I read others reviews when trying to decide on things to do and places to go; however, I just think it would be nice for TripAdvisor to give some sort of gesture to show that they appreciate what we as reviewers do for them. Overall, I do enjoy using this app and will continue to use the app as needed because the benefits outweigh their need for improvements.
Wonderful accommodations and great staff!

We stayed at Melia Cozumel over three weeks last month from February 24th through March 12th, 2018. Everything was fantastic, want to give particular high marks to the following employees: Hilario, the beach waiter who was always eager to bring what we wanted- we dont usually drink much but probably did on the days he worked:) Alicia our maid who remembered that we need extra waters for medication etc.. Alberto the waiter in the buffet area who is so friendly and taught us Mayan words , like “show-pee” that means finished, all done. Hassell went over and above at the concierge and the other girl, Tania, was very helpful to assist my calling the airline to extend our trip and help with Spanish translating. Sandra from the office did a good job setting it all up for us. Bryan was very helpful with my printing a few important documents, so patient and calm. Martin, the younger waiter at breakfast was very polite and refilled the coffees quickly. Tania helpful at concierge. On our last night, Jose at at dinner buffet with good with the wine refills. Antonio at breakfast always came with more coffee and water. Those are the standouts I took notes about, although I have to say not one of the staff were ever rude, the activities team was funny and friendly and even though we didnt participate in anything but maybe Bingo once they made us feel welcome if we wanted to. Another enjoyable stay and we look forward to next time! Thank you!

I wrote a review and got auto corrected, didn’t catch it and now I cannot find the EDIT thing. Haven’t seen now if they send me an email to review and edit before it is actually published though. Also It would be nice if somehow the app interfaced with a map without having to go in and out of the app. Many times I am trying to find hotels, restaurants, attractions by locations and proximity and I get tired of having to go back and forth, would be nice to be able to ‘pin/ sticky’ note stuff within the TA app so I don’t have to figure it out all over again. I’ve started taking out my paper map and using sticky notes which works but would be nice to have something user friendly like that within TA app. I have used this app for many years and try to add a review each time I go someplace, and I really depend on this when I travel. Now I just tried to submit and it says my nickname is taken, it’s my nickname so what’s up?
Bill’s Front Porch
by blueeyeddarlin on 2018/12/01 00:39
Hidden Gem in Wilmington especially when you get to see and hear Folkstone Stringband! Lucky enough to be at Bill’s Front Porch when they had live music with a phenomenal Bluegrass Band named Folkstone Stringband! Beers are housemade and the new “Christmas Pants” is smooth and not too sharp. With the romaine lettuce scare, salads are a little slack but still delicious 🍁 quesadilla s are delicious especially the brisket. Their cheese dip is house made but is a little floury not cheesy enough . The craft brews are great with a variety of taste experiences. From the sharp citrus based IPA’s to the smooth new Christmas brew called “Christmas Pants”. By far the smoothest of all the craft brews Bill’s makes. Two members of the waitstaff are the best I’ve encountered. Lindsey and Sandy are some of the best waitstaff I have had. Attentive and on top of everything. Ask for them, you won’t be sorry. They are great!!! Overall Bills is a great eating and drinking establishment, Good food and beverage, but add the great music of Folkstone Stringband and you have a winning combination!
A day for me in the air on China Eastern Airlines
by gene and ilana go to Asia on 2018/01/28 07:38
Ilana and I were so excited about our first trip to Asia. Thailand and Cambodia were a dream we’ve had for what seems to be forever. But truthfully I was dreading the long flight. The longest part was from JFK to Bangkok and I imagined us getting there and losing another day sleeping off the jet lag. So we booked our travel in business class for the first time. It was a delight. The service was excellent. From the moment we checked in. Their lounge at the airport was very comfortable. The food on the plane was beautifully prepared and served and the lay flat beds were amazing. We slept 11 of the 14+hours to Shanghai and after a short layover we were on our way again for the final part of our trip. We arrived fresh and ready to tour an exciting city. And it was a pretty good deal cost wise as well compared to the price we got for business class on other airlines. Over all, a great start to our 2 weeks in Asia.
Lost confidence
by marinadoug on 2019/01/28 14:53
My wife and I always check out the reviews for hotels and restaurants and have had great results. The reviews reflect accurately what our experiences have been. We have to weed out some of the negative reviews, some people just have to vent when the world just doesn’t go their way. But now TA is rating with their “Best Value”. My wife and I travel to many of the same cities for work and have learned where to stay and not to stay. Their Best Value is completely false and we must say a completely fake rating for us the consumer. We can’t begin to understand any logic in these ratings. There is no cost association and for sure there is no quality association. We are guessing that TA has sold out to who will pay the most. In the end we have lost confidence in anything they say now and feel we must check other sites to be sure of all our future choices for hotels and restaurants. Such a shame, it was such a good site, you can still switch to consumer ratings....but have they sold out to the highest bidder there, if they are ok making a fake Best Value are they ok with making or modifying reviews to the highest bidder and they become fake.

A great resource when traveling
by KashmirX on 2019/04/04 01:39
I come to rely on this app to find great restaurants in areas I never been before. My coworkers brag about the places I discover from this app. I use it when picking out hotels as well. The reviews help prevent me from staying in some dives. Just because it is $30 cheaper a night than the other hotels doesn’t mean it is a deal. I have made the mistake of saving $5 on a hotel and regretting to this day. Read the reviews and look for patterns in the reviews, do your due diligence on the reviewers also. If a reviewer gave a place a bad grade does that person ever give anyone a good review or is it even their first review. Find out why a business, restaurant or hotel got received a good review or bad review. Then decide if you want to visit that business. This app will save you time and money if you use it and you can find some rare hidden treasures while traveling or right in your hometown.
Plastic Surgery
by cherrydelo on 2018/09/15 13:27
Dr Enrique Alejandro is so so good. I did a lot of research on surgeons in Guadalajara, or Dr Alejandro does most of his work, and compared his technique, his skills, and his training with the best surgeons in New York. My sister-in-law had had work done by Dr. uses the same technique and she looks amazing. I did my research and Dr Alejandro uses the latest under the muscle technique not used by many because they have not had the training. He takes his time and treated me as an individual piece of art, sculpting my face in a way that did not change the way I look but a younger version of myself. I don’t look like “ i’ve had work done”. I’m just younger looking. The Elaen Center in Nuevo Vallarta Connect to the San Javier hospital is clean, the staff professional and caring. Not only that but he would contact me to check up on me, to have me come in for regular checks up without extra charge. He’s young, professional and takes immense pride in his work.
I use it daily to locate the best dining hotels, etc
by Fishin' Dan on 2019/02/24 20:58
An Example: my wife & I were driving home from Branson last week, decided to stop for lunch in Harris, Ark., opened trip advisor and searched for “Nearby” restaurants. We found Jessi’s and it was a hidden gem, would have never believed that a restaurant this good would be there. We then continued on and found an extremely good value hotel (Econo lodge) on the outskirts of Little Rock. We could tell from the Traveler reviews that this was a great place to stay the night, and it turned out to be true, absolutely. we then searched for for nearby restaurants, using “Cajun & Creole” dining offerings in the search filter. “Copeland’s came up , and it was wonderful. These examples are from just one day of several hundred days of traveling in the last three years. Trip adviser has been an essential part of our travels, and we’d be “travel dysfunctional” if we didn’t have it in the future.
Prom pics at the Benson
by rebelmom999 on 2018/04/08 05:21
We have stayed at the Benson several times when downtown for events. This weekend was prom and we had plans to take pics at the Japanese Gardens. Unfortunately Oregon had other ideas. In a panic to come up with a dry option for pics I remembered the lovely lobby of the Benson. The valet was sweet and agreed to keep the Jeep up front so the kids didn’t have to park and walk through the rain to get to the lobby. The staff watched for 20 minutes while we captured their wonderful prom in photos before a manager stomped up to inform us that if we weren’t paying for an event we weren’t allowed to take pics in their lobby in order to preserve the “reputation of the Benson”. I thanked him and explained the rain caused us to scramble for an appropriate indoor venue for prom pics. I know the floor staff knew policy and yet allowed the kids this wonderful opportunity. Thank you Benson Hotel. The pics were gorgeous and the kids were thrilled.
3 in 1 Tulum, Snorkeling, cenote/cave expedition in Cancun
by Amy Crossfit on 2019/04/06 21:12
What an amazing experience! Our guides Pepe and Juan picked my so and I up at our resort on time and they were very attentive to the group. They had snacks and water available for us as it was going to be 8 hours before we got to eat lunch. They were very knowledgeable with the history of the Talum Ruins and they made us laugh during this tour. They knew all of our names and took time to take pictures for us too. They were experienced snorkeler and made sure we were all safe. Pepe and Juan made the tour of the cenote and caves so amazing! The lunch was at the cenote site and was fairly good but it was the company of the people in the group that made the lunch so enjoyable. By the end of the day the group became a mini family and we bonded with each other and to our guides. It truly was sad to leave them all and I will remember each member of our group forever!!! Thank you Pepe and Juan!!!
One Of My Top Five Apps!
by Mike22233 on 2017/10/31 19:40
I have used TripAdvisor for nearly ten years. I never travel or try a new restaurant without searching the site and reading the reviews. Recently, I have booked hotels and dinner reservations more frequently using the site. I have read some of the other reviews. I disagree with most of the criticism. I understand that this is a free site and that there is a company behind it that has commercial needs. However, if you have spent enough time using the site and the app, you will recognize the advertising. It's easily maneuvered to find the strictly objective advice. For example, I would prefer that the site did not default to "Best Value" ranking when searching hotels, as it is not fully reflective of hotel rankings by users. However, provided that you remember to change the default setting on each search to "Traveler Ranked", you can find the objective data.
Wow - Pasta !!
by JohnZen99 on 2019/04/02 10:43
We ran into this place by accident.... then read about it. We liked the look of the place - very funky but intimate. It seemed to (by comments) have devolved into something slightly ‘touristy’ these days. So we were confused but liked the hand written menu. We read and heard from the greeter that it was important to get a reservation.....(“Don’t be late, you have an hour and a half to eat.”). With all that we waited outside for the place to open at 8 sharp. The prices seemed a tad high when we ordered. TO SUM: The paparredali (sp?) I had was the best pasta I’ve ever tasted. The bisteka I had was tasty. Both dishes were VOLUMINOUS. Very large portions. My wife had the house specialty pasta and lamb. We could have just ordered one pasta dish and a ‘secondi’ and been fine. The atmosphere was terrific, the hard working server and owner/host were friendly. In short - this was 4.5 stars and a nice nice place to discover.
Playa Grande 2017 new year
by Ycnibrc on 2018/01/01 04:34
Well first impression is good. Facility is clean and the hosts and staff are nice. I choose building O for the nice view and short walk to the beach. Building P was all booked. The 1 bedroom is nice and spacious with kitchen 2 bathroom 2 balcony. Get the higher floor 3 or above for better view. We have our first dinner at calina restaurant and it was good. If u want some free credit for food and beverage then do the time share breakfast if u dont care then skip it. The pool is nice and heated i think its a salt water pool it tase like salt water. Beach is very nice however because of the drop off near shore they recommend no swimming but theres people still swim. The beach is very quiet not crowded like cancun mostly because of the current undertow so not too many people swimming. You can walk to the left of the beach and climb over a rock mount then u will be at lovers beach which u can swim and u can see the land end rock arch.
Hector’s in Mazatlan
by kueso on 2017/11/12 19:36
This Was not a fine dining experience as we expected. I would’ve felt more welcome at Burger King and been better taken care of. Our whole experience from ordering to checking out was less than 45 minutes. The waiter took our drink order and we only got one Cube of ice after requesting a full glass. After he brought Iceless tea, I ordered a glass of red wine and never received it. The prawn spaghetti was good as was the risotto. I had the lasagna and Stouffers makes better. We were served our food & received no further attention from any of the waiters despite asking for ice and salt and pepper. We asked several times for the check and when we finally received it, we paid part in pesos and put part on the credit card. We told him to put 605 pesos on the card and he came back and had charged us 620. We will never go back here again. There were people at every table when we arrived but by the time we left 45 minutes later the place was relatively empty. People did not seem to be enjoying their dining experience either.
Marietas Snorkel, Whale Watching, kayak and paddle board Boat #1
by lettergram on 2019/02/16 03:49
We went out in Boat #1 with Pablo. It was SO much fun! Booked this as an excursion with our cruise. The crew did a phenomenal job. They were professional and courteous, knowledgeable and ENTERTAINING. They filled the travel time with such entertaining dance and music routines. The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll comedy show was AWESOME. The snorkeling, paddle boards and kayak was very well done and organized. We were able to see some interesting fish and we saw several whales and birds along the way. The lunch was very good as well as the drinks from the open bar. I was also impressed with the professional photographer on board that captured our day on film. No pressure to buy but he did such good work, we couldn’t resist buying the flash drive of our day. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat - it was the highlight of our cruise. Be sure to ask for BOAT #1 and Pablo’s crew!
Won’t leave home without this app!
by tw-mich on 2019/03/22 17:55
In today’s highly competitive world, many restaurants and hotels are scrambling to get customers in their doors. This app is one of the most valuable apps for travelers who don’t want to be surprised with poor service, low-quality food, and bad environments. I really like it when I’m researching a restaurant and deciding to go there and being able to make a reservation right through the app. One caution that I recommend is to always look at more than one or two reviews. I normally look at at least 10 low reviews and 10 high reviews before I make a decision and always remember restaurants and hotels are gaming the system by putting in their own reviews of their own establishments. I usually put more weight into a review from someone who has a history of traveling which you can see in their profile.
Constant use
by Emahiserj on 2018/07/28 22:18
This is an update of my review reflected below. We constantly use this when we travel and for restaurants in our home area. We still think this app is very good and easy to use. One of the keys is that we find the latest places are included . However one of my pet peeves is still there. Reviews no matter how old. Are still reflected. A review over 12-15 months old does not seem to be current enough to matter. Things change, people leave, corrections are made . We use this in our travels primarily for restaurants and places to stay. Glad we see the good bad and ugly. However reviews should be purged after 12-15 months to keep out the old ratings. Have seen reviews going back to 2008 which makes no sense due to being relevant This has been my review for couple years. Need to purge old reviews as they have zero meaning as out of date. Today actually saw a review for 2007
Horrible! Don’t Use!!
by Dissatisfied Customer z on 2018/12/09 14:14
First, there are problems logging into the app. You have to prove you’re not a robot over and over again. Also, once you are logged in you don’t know it because there’s not any confirmation or landing page. Instead, after a successful login you are taken back to the login page which causes you to think that you were unsuccessful. What a mess!! I booked three tours for one day. Without asking or even giving a reason, TripAdvisor took it upon themselves to cancel one of my tours and change the time of the second tour. When I arrived at checkin to get my ticket I was informed that the tour was in Hebrew, which I do NOT speak. Because this was only an hour before the app advised that I would not be refunded. When I tried to look for a customer service phone number, I found that none were listed. All I could do was email a complaint which in turn I received an email back stating that my problem would be looked into within 3 to 5 DAYS!!! What a waste!!! I can only hope that at this evening’s planned event I will not have any problem getting my ticket!!
Grand Luxxe at Vidanta
by yogabodil on 2019/04/06 23:44
Once again we returned after 2 weeks of vacationing at our favorite resort Grand Luxxe at Vidanta in Puerto Vallarta. It was the ultimate vacation as it always is, never disappoints. But this year our concierge on the 8th floor of building one was a lovely young lady named Anika from Germany. She anticipated our every need and wish and always with a smile. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and our anniversary, and on each occasion some special culinary treats and balloons arrived making us feel very special. Beautiful detail. Our day maid Alejandra was equally amazing, always with a smile as she worked. Norma our evening girl just as lovely. Must also mention Jorge at the grand Luxxe taxi arrival area, who offered to take us in a private cart as the number 7 cart was full every time it passed. But I have to say, no matter who you are in contact with are special, which is why we have returned to Vidanta during these last 15 years as nothing else can really compare to the service, the beauty of the resort and the service. When they added the “plaza” . I was overwhelmed with happiness, cheese shop, French bakery, wine shop, delicatessen, and a little grocery store. Plus all the wonderful restaurants, a new one “limon y Sal” yum yum. So, thanks to the staff at Vidanta for making our vacation so memorable. Bodil and Larry Friedman 💃💃
Friendliest staff, cleanest and coziest rooms, reasonably priced!
by Unhappy Scrabble addict on 2018/08/20 03:53
This is a review for the best Western Inn at Facetock in Bandon, Oregon. We stayed there in a recent vacation and had been there a year earlier too. We specifically came back to this hotel due to the friendliness of the staff, the coziness and cleanliness of the room, and the reasonable price. The hotel is across the street from the beach so we’d wake up every day to fresh air and the sound of the waves. Every day breakfasts , included in the price, were always delicious and carefully prepared with many options. The check-in-staff, the cooks, the hostesses, room service attendees, were all friendly, professional and made us feel at home. Kudos go to Larry, the manager there, Eileen, and the rest of the welcome staff, who gave us great suggestions as to places to visit in Bandon. We highly recommend staying at this lovely hotel if you’re in the Bandon area.
Every time I travel, and sometimes at home.

I love this app, I use it wherever I go to find places to eat and things to do. I return the favor by posting reviews everywhere I go... EXCEPT when at home. (I live in Vegas, and honestly, we want the tourists to mostly stay in the tourist areas. If you come to town to visit relatives, they may take you off the strip for a good meal, but the town is laid out for you to easily get back and forth in the tourist areas, and to be able to do ANYTHING you want while there, and for the locals to be able to avoid tourists by avoiding the tourist areas). I have traveled the world, this app has helped me out on four continents, didn’t get out and about on the fifth (work stopover), haven’t been to Australia or Antarctica yet.... and honestly, I don’t think this app will help much when I do get to Antarctica..... but it helps EVERYWHERE else.....
JW Marriott, Bangkok Thailand,
by Vic and Bev on 2017/11/13 02:13
My wife and I had the most wonderful 10 days staying at this Marriott! From the moment our cab dropped us off from the airport the "staff" worked as a team to make certain all of of our needs and wishes were met always with a smile and ultimate courtesy. I would describe everyone on the "team" as ALWAYS kind and from the heart. Our times with the Concierge, Front Desk and Executive Lounge always exceeded our expectations. We would like to acknowledge everyone by name as each one was very special to us. The Manager of the team is Patt. She leads by example always from her "heart" and everyone on her team, without exception, follows her example! They were all "born" that way! It is natural and easy for them.

We used to use Trip Advisor to plan our trips. We planned all our meals and activities using the My Trips feature. All that functionality is gone. What happened?! We are going on a trip in less than 2 weeks and are struggling to find a new way to plan our trip.
HATE the update!
by RGura on 2019/04/17 23:49
Removed the ability to plan a trip! You can no longer add dates to your trip and assign locations to dates to plan out your trip. This was the main thing we used TripAdvisor for. Also, half the time links to websites and maps don’t work. Fix it!
You have screwed up the app

I use this app everywhere. Need to know the best local restaurants? The up-to-date reviews are here! Need a great place to stay or what to do? It’s here! Working off a budget? Everything is rated by price-budget to expensive. Need a tour guide? People who have been to your destination share their best insights. Just a great practical travel tool!

Can’t go anywhere without my Trip Adviser

This app is second o none!

I use this app everywhere we go. I try to see where the hidden gems are and also love doing reviews of the places we try out. I typically look for place to try by using it as well. I haven’t been steered wrong yet, and as long as you read several opinions you can’t go wrong. A must have on every new adventure!

Fatima, Nazaré, San Martinho do Porto, Óbidos
by Hatmac2 on 2019/02/15 17:12
Our excursion was fabulous!

The "team" members by name are: Fong, Honey, Lukpla, Peach, Day, Touch, Mena, Genova, Por, and Noon. If you want at great total experience Stay at the JW Marriott, Bangkok!
