Slow app

I fly BA a lot but this app is not very good. It relies on web pages for a lot of content so it can be extremely slow.

It’s a decent app, but some workflows are still in a browser frame, so it’s not a cohesive experience. I’m sure that this will improve one day.

I’m sitting at Heathrow International airport, Skyside, and it’s not finding my current flight. I thought that’s the whole point of this App?? After entering all my personal, private details, it doesn’t do what it’s suppose to so they just have all my information now. The website doesn’t show my flight / gate information either. Just says couldn’t find the flight. Both the App and Website I personally find disappointing.

They broke my luggage and on my way back home they failed to post the gate number on the app / airport screen causing me to miss my flight. No one at the airline was willing to help me figure out how to get to my connecting flight home. Customer service was terrible!!!

If you like puzzles you may like guessing all the abbreviations they came up with to make French words fit in the button boxes. Otherwise your life will be a nightmare. Plus there still are some English words left here or there so why bother!

The app prompted for mobile number but I couldn’t save it even after many attempts. I tried it without the country code, as instructed, it didn’t work. I also tried it with the country code, that didn’t work either.

If you like constantly having to retype your membership number and password and then having to constantly retype the booking reference to access different features of your booking then this is a top notch platform. I don’t know who at BA sits there and goes “great job” when the app developer does the walkthrough with them. I fly BA gold and their mobile site/app seriously makes me wonder if I should give Virgin a go.

Timeline is a waste. AO does not recognize status of passengers in the one world system and often requires calling in to avoid being charged extra for entitlements of ones status. Booking should display record number without having to search for it.

It does not work. Such a basic ask to check it and get boarding pass. From with in the apps , after asking questions (that are already answered in the profile) the app (which I’m in) gives me the option to go to google app or apple app. One big circle jerk.

The app constantly crashes when paying for upgrades or flights, or when selecting seats. Maybe one of 20 times I get done what I intended to do with the app. I sure hope BA flies better than their app.

I love British Airways but their app. Is a bit lacking - it simply does not update frequently enough. I use SW a lot and their app. Is amazing and always up to date - this can be super helpful when there are potential flight delays etc. it not I it keeps you updated with times, but with gates, which is very important when you have limited time. The gate for BA/AA flight from London to DFW was shown in the terminal way before the app. In fact, we are not long before boarding and it still has not updated!!!! This renders the app. pretty useless for the most part if it cannot be relied upon. Disappointing.

Just as I thought, European airlines are better. In America we do not know how bad it is until we use an airline like British Airways. The app works well, the plane clean and even in coach there is good legroom. The flight attendants are super attentive to your needs. Even if the ticket costs a bit more than an American carrier, buy it!

Passengers should have the opportunity opportunity to make changes after check in upon realization of an innocent mistake. Even when the system recommends calling customers service it takes 45 minutes to be able to speak to representative.

I use the app a lot but my use is not a complex one. It is simply to check in or to buy tickets. Both functions work ok. Not as well as some of the other apps, but does the job. However, every time I open the app it causes a reshuffling of all the flights that are linked to my calendar and a torrent of notifications from my calendar saying that all the events have changed. Which means that now I fear opening the app.

No problem with the airline, but this app is comically worthless. While I commend BA for employing the mentally handicapped to design their app, the functionality suffers greatly. Endless, circular, nonsense menu trees. Crashes constantly. What is going on?

It added only my boarding pass. I had to add my family boarding pass manually one by one. In American Air app it does for all in one click. Second concern, my wife has 2 last names but you have merged them which is auto correct feature in the webapp. You need to ask your developer to fix it.

1) why ba doesn’t provide boarding time? 2) why does the app, despite having my name and booking and flight info still require me to put in booking number to change seat???? It pops up a PROMPT asking me to if I wish to change seat but then the process to do so is a nightmare 3) same for adding luggage...I assume you want my money right?? Why don’t you make it easier for me to pay for these amenities??? It just took me 30 min to check in, pay add luggage and change seat. 30 min!!!!! Other apps are way better in this respect and frankly I will demand that my agency never books me ba flights again

There is a glitch where Siri keeps sending me the same calendar suggestion/ notification for the same flight. Over and over. Even when I turn off Siri it carries on. Please fix it. I had to delete the BA app to stop it.

I tried over and over again to “check in” ahead of time and it kept prompting me to enter my passport information. Once I did, it brought me back to the original screen to start the process all over again (this also happened on your website). I was hoping to upgrade our seats before a long international flight. After trying over and over again, I gave up and figured I would just ask at the airport. Once I got to the gate, I was told I should have “checked in” ahead of time for an upgrade. Very disappointing.

For some reason when I open this app, my phone starts buzzing while I use it AND when I switch to any other app. Even if I hard close the app. It will then continue to buzz randomly until I lock my phone and it takes another 10-15 seconds for it to stop buzzing me. It’s not continuous it’s pulses as if it’s an alert but there are no alerts. And yes, I’ve isolated all other apps and it’s this one. Fix it please!

The seating practices are unethical in that they charge extra money for seat selection at the time of ticket purchase and then ignore their prior commitment when you check in by giving you entirely different seats. Truly appalling, certainly frustrating and clearly unethical .

It can’t find reservations, and when you finally get to your reservation it won’t complete the checkin process — it just hangs after confirming seat assignments. When it finally does start going again it’s forgotten everything you just entered and you have to start the whole bloody process over again. Bloody useless app.

Throughout the entire trip check-in for both directions, the app could not locate our booked flight. I was directed to go to the website to look and process the booking, but I then could not get the boarding passes. Every other airline I have flown with there has never been a problem. I do not know why BA can’t fix this. VERY POOR app!

Check-in thru App didn’t work, called BA help desk (time!), then wad advised try using PC, then check in was ok. No difference in documents, no information was lacking only App didnt perform and it was said that the App does that sometime. Suggest: run software robustness test before release. I was able to check in fine. However, the app was very unintuitive. It kept opening tabs when checking in. Brought me in loops. Furthermore, I was around halfway done with the check in. Part 3 of 6 when a popup randomly told me I had finished. Poor design and coding.

The app is awful—doesn’t explain their ridiculous seating policy or the difference in the £17-34 additional for seats that look the exact same (not exit, not first few rows.). It’s only really clear about the extra £239 for an upgrade for a 4 hour flight if you want it.

My husband and I flew back from London to Nashville to end our honeymoon in Europe. We were seated comfortably in the back at row 40 and we would have been fine in economy since the aircraft is so clean and well kept and the attendants are very sweet. One asked us about our visit and we said we and on our way back from our honeymoon and he offered to upgrade us to seats 11 K and 11 J in economy plus and that was so wonderful! He said “it’s a bit easier seating on a honeymoon in those seats, don’t you think” . We were given champagne and food was great, I enjoyed this airline so much. Quite a lot different from our American Airlines we flew to London from the start. The plane smelled, I couldn’t eat the food it was pretty poor, and the microwaved hot pocket made my stomach turn. But the people were nice on American too, I would just avoid the airline because of its poor accommodations and the shape the airplane is in makes for an uncomfortable 8 hours of flying... I don’t know why people review this airline as anything but great, friendly and warm service, clean plane, great selection for food and entertainment. If you’re sweet and polite and reasonable, and honest you’ll find you get better interactions from people no matter what airline. Love British airlines!

1. Could do with a way to book award flights using Avios. 2. Desperately needs an option to add the Executive Club card to Passbook. BA employees at lounges usually can’t scan the barcode off the small card that displays in the app because either a) the barcode doesn’t show or b) when it does show, it’s grainy. 3. The “retain (insert BAEC tier here)” never matches the website. Apparently to retain silver, I need 230 more tier points and 0 of 4 flights have been completed. The “or” says 3 of 50 eligible flights have been completed. The website correctly states I need 230 more tier points and 1 more flight (it shows 3 of 4 flights have been completed). 4. Progress to the next tier could be a nice addition to the app along with what I need to retain the BAEC tier I’m in. 5. Getting to the seat selection page is a ballache. You click select seats and it takes you to the manage booking page, click select seats there and it’ll take you back to the same page. You have to select the flight within manage my booking to find select seats in the drop down under a particular flight (even though you already did that in the app under a particular flight before it sent you to the browser), and then choose them there. All the while, the top of the screen above the mini browser says “select seats”... I could be adding my passport number or selecting a meal in that and it’ll still say “select seats” up the top...

I’m waiting to board a flight with BA to LHR and connect with BA 247 to Sao Paulo. The lady that did my checkin was very unfriendly and had the wrong attitude to be in contact with customers (and she is working in the “Business Class” desk! - I think we (customers) should be able to evaluate airport agents instantly upon completion of checkin as we do after calls, after using your app etc. Maybe this would help “shaping” a seemless excellent customer service at BA! Certainly with the high unemployment affecting France, BA could do a better job at recruitment and selection for airport jobs.

We booked 2 tickets from British Airways to Turkey Sept. 9th for a January 16 flight. In October, Turkey began a series of changes in Visa requirements for US citizens wanting to travel to Turkey. I’ll skip all those details now since I’m reviewing British Airways but at each step of not being able to get into Turkey, we called British Airways to find our options (refund, voucher, etc.). Each time BA assured us that we’d get our visas and and to wait. They would only refund taxes and fees, about $990 (customer service wouldn’t say a monetary figure) out of $3500. We waited and tried monthly. Finally, after getting approved for an appointment for an in person visa interview with Turkey, the only available interview was in January, the day before our flight. Then there’s a two week approval window. So no visa and when we called about refund options, the refund offered now was $187. I believe since BA is government subsidized, there was a conscious delay process to permit the government to continue to collect time released taxes. I’d enjoyed multiple Economy Comfort step up seats and comfort and thought I’d found a comfortable way to travel. I’ll now take my business to another airline. I forgot to say, but when I calmly said to the BA customer service agent when offered $187, that I might as well hold onto my seat so BA could not resell the seat, she hung up on me. Fly US and suffer with the tight seating.
Delayed Flight Lost Day of Vacation

The flight service was not an issue. The serious issue we has was the result of our flight being delayed in NY for 3+ hours which caused us to miss our connecting flight in London. BA tried to schd another overnight 4 hr flight to Barcelona and than a connecting 4 hr flight to Santorini which to us was ridiculous. Their was no accommodating flight to Santorini for our initial arrival date to start our vacation. Although, we were accommodated with a overnight hotel stay in London so we can catch a morning flight to Santorini the next day the fact that we lost out on one day of our vacation was very upsetting and hurtful. Traveling abroad to Santorini, esp for the first time and to meet family and friends for a wedding, was very expensive and time consuming. Above all the experience of traveling thousands of miles for a dream vacation is priceless. Instead of spending 3 nights in Santorini as planned, we spent 2 nights. Unfortunately BA didnt do enough to compensate us for our missed day of vacation and when trying to discuss our concerns with them their reaction and response was very nonchalant, upsetting, frustrating and disappointing. We expected better treatment of its travelers...
Needs significant improvement

The app as a whole doesn’t function well from a technical perspective. The user interface, in theory, is pretty well thought out, but I can’t enjoy any of it because of the technical difficulties I’ve been having with the app. This is coming from what you would consider a power user - I’m not your grandma and using a smartphone for the first time. When it’s difficult for someone who thoroughly understands the inner workings of mobile applications (+3 of her tech-savvy friends), you have a problem. An example of a use case is earlier when I attempted to check in for my flight, got to the final step, and the app crashed. I then decided to check in via the web and the process showed several discrepancies. I also couldn’t get my mobile boarding pass unless I went back to the app and finished my check in process, which I couldn’t actually complete because of aforementioned difficulties. There really needs to be some significant technical adjustments to the app. For an airline that is highly sought after, your app is severely lacking. I’m happy to provide more detailed feedback if needed.
Technology gap=a bad sign for the company

It’s sometime hard to separate the corporations from the computing presence they project with their apps. I’ve lived and worked in Silicon Valley CA for over 30 years and there we have a consensus among our friends that it’s possible to forecast a company’s future by the quality of its Internet presence. This does not bode well for BA as this iOS app projects a backward stagnation. Unfortunately I find it frustrating to write these reviews as the people who read the feedback cannot present it to those in charge since their culture is usually the cause of the technology gap and they just can’t bridge it. Update: As I continue to use this app over many years and get hit with layer after layer of bugs and mishaps that inconvenience BA customers and club members, I wonder when will the responsible executive be dragged through the streets of London with tar and feathers - I guess never... it’s equivalent to BA’s running of T5 in month one, but just in a permanent state.
Overall great app, but a miss on Watch

Overall, this is probably the very best airline app of the many I use. It’s simple to use, yet provides far more information and utility than any other I use. And it’s actually visually appealing. However, the Watch app doesn’t seem to work. Despite having a flight departing in five days, the Watch app says I don’t have any upcoming flights in the next seven days, even though I have two (both of which show in the app on my paired iPhone.) Having access to the app on the Watch is super useful while traveling, and the absence of this feature working correctly made me withhold a fifth star.
Flights are Cheap - Services are terrible

This Airline wants you to buy a ticket - take your seat, be quite & don’t ask for anything. On 3 occasions I wanted to upgrade my seat to first class. None were available at the time of purchase. Day of the flight, first class seats became available - no one would process the upgrade & take my card! Not customer service, the check in counter, no one = god forbid I have have flights delayed that interfere with obligations on the other end - they make no effort to help you out = has a flight to Chicago O’Hare delayed at Heathrow, then onto Denver with American Airlines on the same ticket. The plane at Heathrow breaks down - I asked them to put me onto a flight direct to Denver - plenty of seats availed = nope, not a chance. They don’t care that timing was of the essence. As long as you don’t need, ask for anything or make an inquiry, take your seat, be silent = everything will be great :) The only thing BA has going for them is cheap tickets to Europe from the US. Now the brand new update to this APP doesn’t work - can’t book flights cause the APP crashes, there is no way to co tact them except to blast them here - there not going to read this anyway.
Never fly BA

I will never book a flight with British Airways. I spent $1,100 on tickets but booked a spontaneous flight to Italy. I planned on missing one of my flights with plans to meet the second flight in London. When I called BA to inform them I was going to be a no show at the first location they informed me my second flight would be canceled due to a changed itinerary. THIS WAS NEVER MENTIONED IN MY CONFIRMATION EMAIL. I would have never booked my other flights. To make a long story short, I threw away over $1,000 trying to fix this mistake. When requesting a PARTIAL refund they simply informed that there was nothing they could do. Basically robbing me, while other passengers took advantage of my “no show” seats. Unbelievable! I will never fly BA again and will make sure my friends and family are aware as well.

I checked in using the mobile app because I figured it would be more convenient to have a boarding pass on my mobile. Upon doing so it would allow me to check in but not change seats nor download my mobile boarding pass. Screen after screen kept telling me that my reservation number was invalid or that the session timed out and I need to start over. When logging in online it said I already was checked in therefore could not change seats any longer but if I wanted to download my boarding pass on my mobile I need to use the app. If this app actually worked all of that would make sense but since it does it doesn’t I am left frustrated and without. This will be my first time playing on British Airways and so far I’m not impressed.

Just as I thought, European airlines are better. In America we do not know how bad it is until we use an airline like British Airways. The app works well, the plane clean and even in coach there is good legroom. The flight attendants are super attentive to your needs. Even if the ticket costs a bit more than an American carrier, buy it!

I want to give it negative stars but cannot. When I first tried to check in, I couldn’t for scream hours. This app is the slowest one I’ve ever used. Have to get back in multiple times because it crashes constantly. Why do I have to put my passport number in every time? Why won’t it save it? Same for email. Also, why after I’ve checked in and gotten a boarding pass do I get a push notification telling me to check in and then it shows I’m not. This app is worthless. I’m deleting it after I get home and never using it again. Absolute waste of time. You should fire the designer and whoever works on it. They are not qualified to maintain an app and are stealing money from your company. Ps. Nickname? What the hell?

I love British Airways but their app. Is a bit lacking - it simply does not update frequently enough. I use SW a lot and their app. Is amazing and always up to date - this can be super helpful when there are potential flight delays etc. it not I it keeps you updated with times, but with gates, which is very important when you have limited time. The gate for BA/AA flight from London to DFW was shown in the terminal way before the app. In fact, we are not long before boarding and it still has not updated!!!! This renders the app. pretty useless for the most part if it cannot be relied upon. Disappointing.

1) why ba doesn’t provide boarding time? 2) why does the app, despite having my name and booking and flight info still require me to put in booking number to change seat???? It pops up a PROMPT asking me to if I wish to change seat but then the process to do so is a nightmare 3) same for adding luggage...I assume you want my money right?? Why don’t you make it easier for me to pay for these amenities??? It just took me 30 min to check in, pay add luggage and change seat. 30 min!!!!! Other apps are way better in this respect and frankly I will demand that my agency never books me ba flights again

I think it is a good app, but it’s somewhat basic in what it offers users. There is not an ability to search for a vacation package, I.e., a flight and a hotel or a flight and car. It takes an inordinate amount of time to search for those individually, then bundle them. I’d like to have an ability to view more detail in my account as well. Overall it is a good app, but a bit more tweaking would make it much better.
Nearly the best airline app

Have always liked this app but got a bit miffed on a recent business trip when trying to get the final mobile boarding pass for my last flight. Not able to do so apparently because the overall itinerary of flights was too long to display.....what??? Those flights are gone already. Should be an easy bug to fix and then you get that extra star back 😄

Buggy as you like. But beyond that some really poor design choices. For example, want to book a flight with avios? Sure thing. Here’s a list of days you can fly, without any details of how many avios are required, what the taxes/fees are or even what time the plane departs. Just that it goes on a particular day. If you’re trying to push back on people using avios then think again - bad customer service will eventually crush you in the marketplace. I’ve been living in the US for 5 years and the United app there makes this look like a college project.

I tried over and over again to “check in” ahead of time and it kept prompting me to enter my passport information. Once I did, it brought me back to the original screen to start the process all over again (this also happened on your website). I was hoping to upgrade our seats before a long international flight. After trying over and over again, I gave up and figured I would just ask at the airport. Once I got to the gate, I was told I should have “checked in” ahead of time for an upgrade. Very disappointing.
AA / BA mobile App

App does not work, is completely tangled up and confused between AA and BA flight#s and signin. After a lot of tenacity, got to the point of entering my passport information only to be rejected again with “invalid passport information “ error message (incorrect msg since passport is valid and information typed in was correct). Finally had to wait in line for 45 minutes and representative got my boarding pass printed in seconds. I did not check any bags therefore the wait in line was only to avoid dysfunctional/useless app.

I fly about 200k miles/year. I found this app completely counterintuitive and dysfunctional. BA customer service was closed on a Sunday night so there was no one to call. I tried over an hour on the app and then the website to change my flight. It would not allow it. I also wasn’t able to download my ticket to my phone. I fly many other airlines and this is the most frustration I’ve had with an airline app. I do want to add that when I called BA customer service Monday morning, they were very helpful. I think they realize that their app is subpar.
Seats and check in

I’m disappointed with both the app and online portal for reserving seats beforehand and during check in. This is not the first time I’ve tried to select my seat and I just get sent round and round in circles never reaching the seat map to make the required changes. I was willing to pay, but could never reach that option. Why say a passenger can do something when you’re not allowing them to do it? That’s false advertising and such a frustrating waste of time.

Had the best experience ever first time flying BA. The crew and support team was so kind to me and my entire family. I had to fly 7 kids and my in-laws across the pond to UK from USA and could not have done it without your help. Wow. I will fly BA every time.
Never flying British Airways Again

After having confirmed seating for me and my wife to travel together to my amazement the airline changed my wife’s seat. After spending over an hour in the phone with airline employees I was told nothing could be done. Yesterday when I checked we were in our assigned seats together and now less than one day later my wife has been moved. I requested her seat be switched back and was refused. I will never fly British Airways again and will be encouraging everyone I know and on social media to avoid British Airways like the plague.
Bleak customer service and flights

I have booked a flight on (economy)British airways and it was cancelled due to engineering issues, again the next day after contacting customer service they rebooked a flight which got delayed by 2 hours , which affected the boarding of connecting flight. When asked customer service for rebooking they said no tickets were available. Dint upgrade when there were tickets available in other class. Dint respond properly when asked about refund. Had worst experience and 2 days waste of time.
Upgrade letdown

At check-in I was offered to upgrade to world club on a special offer. It was impossible to pay for the upgrade on both the app and website. I also spoke to agents twice on the phone who tried to provide the upgrade that was offered to me, and they were unable to change to world club. This is terrible advertising and I’m very disappointed that I would be promoted something in this way and not be able to purchase it. I normally love the service at British Airways but this was a true disappointment.
Record locators

If I book a flight marketed by another one world airline (in this case AA) that is operated by BA - the AA airline record locator is not recognized by BA. Further, the ONLY way I can find the equivalent (but distinctly different) BA locator is if I, bizarrely, go to the QANTAS Manage My Booking website, enter the AA locator, which then brings up the corresponding BA locator I can then use back on the BA Manager My Booking. Bizarre. Why can’t the BA App or website do what the QANTAS sites can do for a BA operated flight!!!!

I’ve used plenty of mobile apps for flying (AA, Alaska, Qatar, BA) and this is by far the worst app! It is confusing and unintuitive. With American and Alaska, you need only open the app, click on your flight, and the seat assignment/selector, check-in/boarding pass, and info options are right there. But with BA, you have to find the specific flight from your homepage, click through, select manage booking, scroll to select seat. These are also just small lines of text you’re looking for. Terrible!

Of the various Airline Apps I have used this is by far the worst. It cannot remember the emergency contact it demanded a week earlier. Fails to save multiple boarding passes, and makes no attempt at checking passport in advance. It succeeds at letting the traveler know which gate to use, at least some of the time. It mostly appears to be a cash grab by misleading that a bag will be charged for and asking for the money upfront. Not sure if the App writers were trying for anything more. At least it is free.

Disappointed in this airline. Taking care of customers clearly isn’t their priority like it used to be in years past. Paid $3500 for a one way premium economy seat on a long haul flight from London to Phoenix after an injury I had overseas. Staff refused to help me load my carryon bag in the overhead container, were impatient with me when I walked slow to use the lavatory, told me I couldn’t have a cup of green tea unless I paid for a First Class ticket. Plane was old, had poor quality infotainment, smelled musty.

This is truly a ZERO. I can’t think of an app or website that operates more poorly. It insists I’m not connected to the internet when I am (other apps work fine), won’t let me fill in data it asks for. Won’t let me check in. Executive sign up was a nightmare, deleted my data twice before accepting it. Had to reenter everything. It makes we want to just go with another airline entirely. Incredibly bad app (mobile site really no better). Clearly, BA has no respect for its customers at all.

The latest update has only managed to lose my next booking. I’ve tried to manually load in the booking reference, but the app claims it is already being displayed... which it is not. I fly regularly and on various airlines. Lufthansa has a great app, so does KLM. BA’s however has been riddled with issues. The update claims these have bee fixed but I have immediately encountered a serious one, which leaves me skeptical. Another frustration is that flights to places like Spain and Ireland are often operated by other airlines, even if you have bought the ticket from BA. In this case the BA app doesn’t work. I bought a BA ticket, and now I have none of the functionality... and often no ability to pick my seat either! Get your act together BA!

The app does not refresh. It is showing me double-booked on return flights via 2 different, nearly simultaneous, routes (the information is correct on the BA website). This tells me I can’t rely on information in the app. It’s not completely unusable, I just have to keep remembering which flights are accurate.... Think I’ll use the website instead. Not as convenient, but more accurate.

Passengers should have the opportunity opportunity to make changes after check in upon realization of an innocent mistake. Even when the system recommends calling customers service it takes 45 minutes to be able to speak to representative.

I tried to use the app to check in to an upcoming flight and it failed to ever load a check in page. Just kept returning an error saying it couldn’t establish a secure connection. FWIW - the mobile web experience is awful too and required over an hour of attempts to check in. I tried to give up and call, but after waiting on hold for 20 minuets I was told that they can’t check in by phone and I have to use the website. Wow. 0/3. We’ll done BA.
Frustrating and worthless

Deleting app after I write this. Downloaded this in an effort to do Early Check-In. Entered my information and it brought up my resy no problem. Clicked “Online Check-in” and it asked me to “add passport”. Clicked on that and it had me fill in some personal info and instead of taking me to next step (or even an error page) it instead took me back to the start. Tried 5 times and remained stuck in an endless loop. Very frustrating!!!!!
Flight booking spotty

Flight booking barely works in the app, and reward flight booking doesn’t work at all. For most functions it’s just a web view and it seems they can’t keep the user state in sync across their APIs. Nice to have for a backup copy of your boarding pass but for anything else just use the website... and if possible not on your mobile device. I actually quite like BA and I’m a frequent flyer with them, but the app is mostly a waste of time.

I use the app a lot but my use is not a complex one. It is simply to check in or to buy tickets. Both functions work ok. Not as well as some of the other apps, but does the job. However, every time I open the app it causes a reshuffling of all the flights that are linked to my calendar and a torrent of notifications from my calendar saying that all the events have changed. Which means that now I fear opening the app.
Frustrating check in and luggage payments

Besides the fact that the baggage fees are a total rip-off, trying to get the online check-in to work was very challenging. I’ve prepaid for the luggage and have an email confirming this but it doesn’t seem to have registered on the BA app. It seems intuitive until you actually use it.

This summer will actually be the last time I will ever book BA flight for my family. I am going over to Virgin Atlantic. British Airways mysteriously caused over 50,000 avios to disappear from our family account, dismembered our family account, I wrote emails and called and all to no end. My husband also approached the customer service desk at Heathrow one time and they couldn’t help. Why B.A. is so out of touch with customers, I don’t quite understand:(

I’m sitting at Heathrow International airport, Skyside, and it’s not finding my current flight. I thought that’s the whole point of this App?? After entering all my personal, private details, it doesn’t do what it’s suppose to so they just have all my information now. The website doesn’t show my flight / gate information either. Just says couldn’t find the flight. Both the App and Website I personally find disappointing.
Confusing Process

App made me enter the same information multiple times. It returned me to the same pages multiple times. After paying for my bags, it returned me to the bag that asked how many bags I wanted to check. I do not know if the correct information was received. Now I have to worry until I get to the airport tomorrow.
Constant vibrations from BA app

For some reason when I open this app, my phone starts buzzing while I use it AND when I switch to any other app. Even if I hard close the app. It will then continue to buzz randomly until I lock my phone and it takes another 10-15 seconds for it to stop buzzing me. It’s not continuous it’s pulses as if it’s an alert but there are no alerts. And yes, I’ve isolated all other apps and it’s this one. Fix it please!

Compared to other airline apps I’ve used, this one is very easy to use, especially for beginners. I like being able to save the boarding pass as a picture as well- helpful when WiFi/service is inaccessible

Timeline is a waste. AO does not recognize status of passengers in the one world system and often requires calling in to avoid being charged extra for entitlements of ones status. Booking should display record number without having to search for it.
Frustrating experience

On a recent flight from London to Barcelona, it took me FOREVER to check in, pay for my luggage and get my boarding passes. I needed to use the Mweb experience to be able to interact with the app. Seriously slow and it gave me several error messages. I was finally able to get my passes after more than 12 hrs -not continuos, I was constantly checking to see if the app was working correctly.

Flight from Trinidad to London on Friday 28th Sept My husband and I travelled for first time on BA business instead of our usual upper class Virgin from Trinidad via Barbados to London It was extremely disappointing Firstly it was delayed by almost three hours The service was not up to our expectation at the price ticket My dinner ordered was forgotten and when my husband enquired, the Stewardess said it was blank yet I was served about five minutes after what I had ordered. I was not offered dessert or refills and no breakfast despite the fact that I was awake, not even a cup of tea. I felt very unwelcome and I am not sure that I will fly this service in the future. We trust that the return trip is vastly improved Thanks for attention Nicole Galt

The app is slow to load and offers minimal functionality. The airline downgraded my purchased seat to economy due to an aircraft change to a smaller plane resulting in them overbooking the flight and only informing you of this during the airport check-in process. This app kept giving me error messages whenever I tried checking in the day prior. British airways will never have any of my business ever!
