Great game and great support
by Gdgtguy on 2019/10/20 21:00
Been playing this app for years and love it. Recent iPhone haptic change was very annoying. I reported it and Solebon corrected it and released the fix in their next update. Great support!
Love solitaire, love this app
by RandomizeControl on 2019/10/17 05:03
I have spent so much captive time over the years (airplane, nursing, waiting at the dmv) in this app. I’ve learned how to play new types of solitaire. I had a hard time reading the numbers but the deck is customizable!10/10, I think I’ll buy the in-app upgrade to support the manufacturer because the free version has no ads!

Extortion for $1.99
by Bobbliss on 2019/10/16 17:32
I have enjoyed this app for years. It is my fill time app in airports or on planes. I wish the final animation would be instant instead of long.
Fabulous!

Really enjoy this app! Well done!

No complaints.
Location Issue
by 73Vette on 2019/10/07 00:23
App will not allow me to set location to “Never”, will always revert to “Ask next time”. There is no need for a game like this to have your location. Otherwise a great game.
Need way to turn off slogan screen
by LeafStorm on 2019/10/02 16:30
Very distracting... Absolutely HATE seeing your text message every time I open PAID version of app. I don’t need / want to see YOUR slogan every time I want to play a game for relaxation. Play has dropped 90% for me and I’m in search of another program. You have become decidedly un-user-friendly. 4 stars for game; 0 stars for shoving your slogan on players.
Still by far the best
by jenkinge on 2019/09/30 15:42
I’ve been playing iterations of this app for years, probably back to my first gen iPhone. Easily the best, most fully-featured, slickest solitaire program out there for iOS.
I love this game!

What happened to the screen that shows how my game compares to others? I liked the challenge of seeing if I beat the least number of moves but now I can’t view it.

I love the game, but I wish it had the capability to tell me that I have lost. I keep going thinking I have a move until I give up or if I have a lot of cards left, I am not sure if there is a move or not
Never a dull moment with this game!

Horrible
by ElenaPie on 2019/08/07 16:11
Card numbers aren’t uniform which makes it harder to read. You simply make it too hard to concentrate with all the different size fonts. Such a shame, I’ve been playing for at least the last 15 years but this “update” kills it for me.
Great app, GUI tweaks addressed!
by iBook_User on 2019/08/04 04:18
Update: After leaving the review blow this one, and after reaching out via email (to which they responded), the developer actually addressed the exact issue with card sizes that I had. The best solitaire app on the store, and the developer actually listens to user feedback. Can’t beat that! The classic mode is what I prefer. That said, why force a huge card size? You used to have an option. Screen too cluttered! Please bring back card size option!
Update is not as good as the original
by Optimissist on 2019/08/02 01:57
I tried to like the update, I really did. As a long time user of this app, I didn't want to have to find another one. But the game play is not the same as it was and I find myself getting frustrated at the games mechanics. It doesn't play as smooth as it did before. It's much slower and more cumbersome and if I increase the speed of the animation, it makes me nauseous. I want to like it but knowing what this game was before makes it difficult.
Love the game
by pebz13 on 2019/07/29 05:15
The only solitaire game I play
This should be your go-to solitaire app
by Schwa221 on 2019/07/27 16:29
This is the best solitaire app hands down! The developer is incredibly responsive to feedback, and there is more variety in this app than any other solitaire app. 100% worth it!!!
Slow responsiveness
by 1Addict to annother on 2019/07/26 21:34
This so-called upgraded version is much slower in it’s responsiveness. So if you’re someone, like me, that likes to improve on your win times, this is very frustrating.
Update is bad
by Hawk4hire on 2019/07/24 18:32
Update adds screens and slows down play. Don’t update.
UPDATED: Improving but still not the original before the redesign
by Raedin on 2019/07/21 23:15
So, this is an update of my review thread posted in the weeks following the release of the redesign. Things are improving, especially with the addition of the card spacing option. That has resulted in a change from 3 stars to 4. However, it still isn’t the beautifully designed app that it was prior to the redesign. I get that there were lots of changes in the background. That’s fine although it’s also greatly increased the size of this app. I was able to score one of the last iPhone 7s with 256GB of storage, so the increased size isn’t an issue for me. If you’re dealing with 16-32GB of storage, it could be a problem depending on what else you keep on your phone. The issue that remains for me is the design of the card faces. The new redesign saw a shift in both alignment and spacing of the upper two elements on the card (value and suit pip) away from the center out toward the edges. It may seem like a small change, but it is enough to cause serious visual and cognitive confusion (which is clear from many of the negative reviews). Essentially, the eye will match elements that are close in proximity. By moving the card value to the left and the pip to the right, it causes the eye and the brain to match the across cards rather than within the card. For example, if you have a 3 of diamonds on the left and a 6 of spades to the immediate right, the eye will tend to see a 6 of diamonds because the 6 and the diamond pip are closer to each other than the 3 is to the diamond or the 6 to the spade. It’s even more extreme when neighboring cards are the same color. I still find myself missing plays because, while other elements have been improved, the alignment toward center which was there in the original design has not been changed. So, kudos for fixing some of the big elements like card spacing and keeping a classic layout available. But, please, fix the alignment of the elements on the cards. Take it back to the very elegant, easily readable font and spacing that was part of the original app design.
Not an improvement
by frwema on 2019/07/21 15:55
The new card shape is unpleasantly square and the logo screen stays up much too long.
Solitaire.

I’ve had this app for a long time and I love using it. The most recent version is repeatedly crashing and dealing a new game upon reboot. *fixed
New Release Annoying — Fixed!
by bb846 on 2019/07/17 17:55
With the latest release this seems to have been fixed! Kudos to the developer for listening! This was a 5-Star app until the latest release. Now, instead of going directly to the game there’s an unnecessary screen that appears first. And the card size seems to have increased so that the board looks more crowded.

Bad update. Too many tweaks. Let us just play the game. Drop the splash screen when starting app.
Fingers in ears
by jkgm on 2019/07/15 20:07
I’m still happily sitting on the last 8.x version of this game and watching the reviews in horror. Seems like the vast majority of people here hate the new version and would gladly revert to v8 if they could. Obviously, virtually nobody is happy with “Classic” mode which is nothing like the classic version of the game. You’re not going to get around that by pasting the same tired “use classic mode; it’s the same” response. There’s an easy fix for this that should make everyone happy. Re-release the old 8.x version as the last version. Then release the modern version as a separate app with an new identifier. Create a bundle of the two with the bundle price being the same as the single game price, and you’ve got a free upgrade path for the people who want it. Meanwhile the other 90% of us can keep the game we bought and actually enjoy playing. Win-win! Developer response: Apple says you’re on the current version, so I can ignore the rest of what you said *la la la I’m not listening* Or maybe my kids’ iPad auto updated, and Apple only shows the latest version installed. I’m not sure how that invalidates the rest of what is being said by so many people. Original 5-star review: I play thousands of hands per year in this app. Simple and perfect.
Long time fun game
by thomasdemers on 2019/07/14 19:50
The last update messed with stuff but the developer is very responsive and wants to keep this a fun game. They made tweaks that allow some of my frustrations to be addressed. Good game and worth the $.
Paid to be ad free and there are still ads
by Creedy68 on 2019/07/12 18:35
I paid to be ad free and there are still ads as soon as cards are dealt.
Much better after last update
by Miss Mary in California on 2019/07/11 01:37
The developers seem to have gotten the message and returned to the (mostly) classic card design. It’s not exactly the same but pretty darn close. Still has a sort of ad at the beginning when you start playing but all in all I can live with it. I hope they don’t make any more “improvements”.
Returning to 5 star rating
by PandoraNY on 2019/07/09 19:44
Update: As promised, I’m returning to my original 5 star rating now that the latest update 9.02 fixes the card face problem. I’ll be hesitant to do any automatic update again until you’ve earned back my trust, since you’ve repeatedly told complaining long-time users that the changes we saw weren’t actual. Previous: Serious downgrade with the latest version. Please return the former card face options to “classic.” The new options (I tried all of them) are much harder to see to play accurately. If you do this, I’ll return to my former 5-star rating. Been playing Solebon since the old Palm Pilot days. Always got paid versions. I see from other comments I’m not alone in my reaction. Usually I greet each new version enthusiastically. You’ve been responding to critics that we should use Classic and—as though we aren’t seeing what we’re seeing—that it’s the same as prior view. IT ISN’T!!!! Why are you telling dozens of prior devoted users that we aren’t seeing what’s clearly disturbing us? Please restore the classic “balanced” card faces as an option!
Classic look isn’t the classic look
by Words2go! on 2019/07/09 11:29
I have toggled the Classic look toggle. I did try to reset the card faces. The issue is there’s no longer any space between the cards — no matter how I reset it, it’s a solid mass of white that’s much harder to look at. I’m finding it much harder to find cards. It’s still my go-to game, as it has been for years, but it’s making me consider trying out alternatives. (I appreciate that you respond to feedback and I’m hoping there’s an answer to the space between columns issue. Ty.)

So many games to choose from, currently loving Yukon!
Update as of 6/25/2019 takes me back to the early90’s
by Achunter14 on 2019/07/05 16:10
The whole look is awful and dated. Why would you have to change the appearance at all? Developer response: "Huh? The prior look was from 2008. However, you can go into Settings and toggle the Classic Mode switch to revert to the classic design." Ummm... the design from 2008 looks decidedly better than the latest update!!! And the toggle to classic switch is just a joke. Have you noticed the unhappy customer responses?
Why so many buttons
by dwadenator on 2019/07/04 07:07
Please keep it simple. The new version adds buttons to the bottom. Do you really need stats and rules to accessible all the time? Put them in the help menu or the settings. 99% of the time u don’t need the rules; 95% of time u are not trying to look at your stats ... you’re just playing and will get stats when the game is over. It’s harder to click the main play buttons now that the bottoms of Klondike 3 is so crowded.
Solitaire
by NinaMimiMom on 2019/07/02 14:34
Why or rather, what happened to the four colored suits? That's one of the features that I really like. This is the only game of solitaire that I play every day. I’ve downloaded many solitaire games only to delete them. Thank you for creating this game. November 10, 2018 Since you've updated this game I've been able to win the games I always play. Then I realized there's a "How to Win" feature that will show a player how to win the chosen game appearing on their device. Thank you for this feature and the other helpful updates.
Update...So Disappointing
by Greenshoe0 on 2019/07/02 12:37
I have played this game for years and it was updated just a couple days ago and it has a pop up that comes up between games when playing games that are proven winners. It makes you tap the screen in order to play. It is soooo irritating and irrational, especially when trying to learn a new game. I will never play this game again. Peace ✌️
If it’s not broken...
by CaaBEL on 2019/07/02 08:25
Latest update brings you a worthless trademarked ad whenever you open the app. One of my go-to games, but they’re starting down a path that all good apps succumb to...wanting more $$$.
I’m nearly 50,000 straight wins. Sole bon makes cards less readable.
by TallStalky on 2019/07/02 01:52
June 30 update trashes the games. ‘Classic mode’ broken. Folks, it does nothing! Developer response is use ‘classic mode’. Duh! Of course I’d tried that. No change. It’s a bug!
Latest update
by $$kgplayer$$ on 2019/07/01 17:33
This is still the best card app. I don't like the beginning logo thingy, but maybe it's there while the app loads your stats? Anyway, the blue line underneath makes the wait seem much shorter, so no problem. Many new options with this update. I am glad the Classic is still available. I am an old lady; I just want to play cards. But I'm certain 99% of the players will love this update and enjoy customizing their cards.
Solitaire King
by Backgammon Ben on 2019/07/01 11:30
First off, they had to put a title at the beginning of the game forcing you to wait whilst the game loads. This is a new change. This is about the worst solitaire game, no stars would have been more appropriate. Do not use the auto-move function as it will not always go to the lowest card. It will go to the place they have designated it should go. The card faces were changed from a bold readable version to a fine, thin, hard to read face. When you contact the company, they give you a very contrite response. Avoid this game.
Disappointing update
by f1rehead on 2019/07/01 03:25
UPDATE 2: Great, so you are finally admitting that the cards are not the “exact same.” Why have you been gaslighting your users? Frankly, it’s unbelievable. And still no comment on the bloat or slowness. I’m taking a star away for the poor response from the developer. UPDATE: Firstly, the cards are NOT the same and if you need screenshots to prove it, I will happily provide them. I do not understand why you will not accept that your long-term users have an issue with this release. I would be willing to bet that most of us spend more time in you app than you do. Secondly, you did not address my other two issues: bloat and slowness. This update is a huge step back and a correction is needed. The 9.0 update is very disappointing. The app grew from 46MB to 145MB just to add many unnecessary features. Cards are uglier now, and the app takes significantly longer to load. Gameplay is still OK, I guess, but the experience is aggravating now. Another example of a developer ‘improving’ an app that didn’t need to be improved.
I hate the new layout
by R. Hare on 2019/06/30 20:33
Please bring the old layout back. The new one is difficult to look at and I am no longer playing!
major step back
by wumpus17 on 2019/06/30 14:27
The latest version forces you to synch your scores to the cloud. Why? Who cares? The last thing I want is to know how much time I spend on solitare. So now, you wait around between games for it to save the scores you wish it wouldn't save. They also took away the ability to reset your scoring (which I used to do regularly). Now, I don't care if they offer such synching for those who want it. But allow me to disable it. update: you can now disable the account, but still can't reset your score now, they added a stupid splash screen that delays the app loading. why do they keep making this app worse?
Get rid of the splash screen!
by Reverend Beavis on 2019/06/30 13:54
This app was nearly perfect before recent updates. Instant on, able to play in short bursts. Not a fan of the new look / size / spacing of the cards (yes, I tried the Classic option), and for the love of God, GET RID OF THE STUPID SPLASH SCREEN AT STARTUP!! I hate seeing Sharpening Minds At Play and waiting for my game to load every time I swipe to another app and back again. After further consideration I’m dropping it to one star. GET RID OF THE SPLASH SCREEN.

Do Not Upgrade to 9.1
by vflii21012 on 2019/06/29 03:20
Stick with 8.9.3 if you still have it. The 9.X upgrade is not good. The app takes much longer to open and the layout and card designs are a big step backwards. I have been using this app for almost 10 years (first downloaded August 2009). The early days saw a lot of incremental improvements and the 8.9.X versions were the most refined yet. Then 9.0 and 9.1 come along and destroy all the work it took to get to 8.9.3. What happened Solebon??? You get some new design team or something? I get the “Sharpening Minds at Play” push to compete with other mind fitness apps, but whoever sold management on this design should be fired. Please offer a legacy download to 8.9.3!!!
Don’t

The Best Solitaire Suite Ever!
by ntringo on 2019/06/28 11:28
I purchased this app years ago and it just keeps getting better and better. Games from the simplest to games requiring a complete rethink of the way you play. By far my favorite. I play this app more than any other app I have. I love it!!! More improvements, more fun. This app is only for Solitaire enthusiasts! Just when you thought it couldn't get much better, it did! Great job folks!!! I love the new design. Still one of my most played, favorites! Thank you!

What happened
by Philboor on 2019/06/28 02:14
Great solitaire game. I have over 4 thousand games played with this app. BUT the newest update is a HUGE disappointment. The graphics are not as good. The card pile does not adjust as the stack gets longer, to allow all cards to show like in previous version. Please Please Please fix this latest update or revert back to previous version. This is terrible.
Card redesign not so good
by bjWanner on 2019/06/28 00:53
The card redesign is a step in the wrong direction. In particular I dislike the new size and wish it was adjustable. The cards are now to large and crowd each other making selection more difficult and visually hard to distinguish. Please give us the ability to adjust the card size. Update based on developer comment: the cards being 10-15% larger is the issue. The old size was perfect for me. The rest of the update is fine I guess (loading screen is bad) just give us the ability to pick the older card size.
Classic look is nothing like it was
by daverobeson on 2019/06/28 00:11
Not sure what happened, but they changed this app in BOTH modes, and they’re both essentially the same, with differently-colored backgrounds. The option to retain the “classic” look doesn’t work. ***** UPDATE: Nope, picked the traditional card face, but they’re still too large & close together. Too much muscle memory to overcome. What used to be relaxing is just frustrating now. ***** UPDATE 6/27: It’s obvious now that you don’t WANT to understand why everyone is upset with the new design. It‘s not the colors or fonts, it’s the size/spacing. The one thing that you are obstinately sticking to, apparently. Oh well. Back to playing Dots again.

24.Jun.2019 The update is cool, but what the heck is the stupid splash screen “sharpening minds at play” ????? And, why does the app act so sluggish now?? Changing screens, picking a new game, starting a new (same) game, ????? Basically, why did you mess with the app? 25.dec.2017 Thank you Apple for making devs be limited for how many times they can ask for feedback! Christmas is a little more rewarding. 7.may.2017 I'm back because once again, a pop-up asking me to rate. For God's Sake, get over yourself. Stop asking for me to "Love it!" 30.apr.2017 So far no more pop-ups except to get me to re-rate. Man, I can't wait for Apple to impose its limits on developers asking for this! 27.jan.2017 Lost another star because another pop up announcing Letterpress appeared. I bought this game not for pop up advertising! ===== Loved it on the Palm OS platform and now enjoying the wonderful version in iOS... except... the pop up announcement that interrupted the start of a game to advertise Match Play and the chance to win a T-shirt! What!? HOW DO I TURN OFF THE ADS? I'm a paying user!!!

[revised below] Ugly. The font is simply terrible. Why on earth would you change a functioning, nicely designed app? Some things are not improved by change. My error; apologies to developer who responded within 24 hours to my negative review. Settings has features to alter to please my eyes, as the developer indicated. Changed my star rating to 5–this is an excellent app! Thank you!
Update on 2019-06-27
by kurman on 2019/06/27 15:08
Still suffering from features at the expense of performance/speed. The latest is a “new look” while supposedly still retaining the appearance of “classic mode”. The problem is that classic mode still looks different than it did a couple days ago. And more importantly both classic mode and new whiter teeth / fresher breath mode play noticeably more slowly than before. What I don’t understand: was there something wrong with the previous appearance? I couldn’t imagine what. Why change something that works well? My fork and knife work great. I don’t open the silverware drawer Thursday morning to find a fork with an extra tine, or a two blades butter knife. Why? Why? Update on 2017-05-08 Five stars for functionality One star for privacy/data-sharing Still a beautifully designed and perfectly working app that is suffering from "feature-itis". Very unwelcome defaults that come with the new version. "Sync" to their servers? I would suggest we be notified of the data sharing and given the choice to opt-in rather than having these enabled by default. Update on 2015-05-21 App changes a number of preferences without asking. Why? Now "every deal is a winning deal"! Maybe you should ask first before setting that preference? I certainly never asked for it. I don't want my solitaire game peeking over my shoulder by means of the Internet. There is an ever-so-tiny time delay for the cards to turn over that was not there before. It is very annoying. No complaints on functionality otherwise. It works beautifully. My question still stands: Why are you taking an excellent product and hosing it up???
No longer fits on my screen
by Athos3m on 2019/06/27 11:50
I use an iPad mini to play and it was fine until the latest update. Now the bottom card is almost completely off screen when playing solitaire. Kinda’ annoying.
Updated cards are too jammed together
by JD in Boston on 2019/06/27 10:52
Been playing (more than I like to admit) for years. Just updated this morning. Stayed in classic mode. But the new cards, I see you made them as big as you could. But there is no space between them. Looks congested. No place for the eye to rest. Sorry, I love this game, but it feels less polished now. Update: Been playing the new update a couple days. Still hate it. I see you telling people that classic is the same, but 5-10% larger. That 5-10% larger was a mistake. I’d pay (more) good money to remove that 5-10%. I’ll probably pay for another app. :( I’ve spent years with this one. I’ll miss it.
Glitches in new look?
by Paul-RS on 2019/06/27 02:43
I love the new Solitaire look, but sometimes a card appears transparent and unreadable. Never happened before.
Solebon solitaire
by ;-)))))))))))~ on 2019/06/26 21:38
Me again!!! What the HELL!!! Trying to play my beloved game . Card sped slow. Can’t make the moves I want , even though I know they’re a legal move . Trying to play in the same way I have for years ,You ruined the game . Thanks . I will be looking for another solitaire app. Very frustrated !! Got a response from the developer telling me to toggle the classic mode in settings . Yes I did do that right away when I got the update . Because that’s what the directions said to do . Well guess what , I didn’t keep the original “ classic “ way . The update that was last year was great . This update horrible . I play bakers game easy . The card speed is slower even though I have it on the fastest mode . Don’t know why they felt these changes were necessary . Maybe they dont play there own game .
No white space between cards, and slower animations
by Artagnan on 2019/06/26 21:30
Even with classic mode and changing back the card face, I have two big complaints about the redesign. 1) There is no longer any white space between cards/piles. This makes it very visually cluttered, and much harder on the eyes to distinguish between piles. 2) The animations are much slower/laggier, even after adjusting the appropriate settings. I've played 12K+ games and counting on this app, but I think I'll need to look for a new one if the above issues aren't addressed.
Recent update makes classic cards look worse
by Yeah......right. on 2019/06/26 16:59
26 Jul 2019 - I only really play Klondike 3 card. Recent update makes classic layout look worse and provides almost zero spacing between cards. Classic cards look overfilled (if that makes sense). They push everything (graphics/numbers) all the way to the edges of the cards. And with the lack of spacing between cards, it now is almost as if they all connect together. Please bring back the previous cards to the classic theme.
Bad update makes changes you can’t remove
by zz_user on 2019/06/26 16:44
An update that was done to the app without even asking changed the appearance of the cards. Now, the change isn’t reversing even though it has been changed in settings. Very annoying thing to do. The developer has commented on my review that you just need to restore settings to fix this, but that is not true. You cannot get the old cards back, they remain the larger ugly ones. I confirmed this via email with the developer. I’m not sure why they need to lie about the ability to restore the old cards.
No one likes change...
by cawneufeld on 2019/06/26 15:03
No one likes change to a game we consider a to be perfect in its functionality. But, the changes are very subtle and I do like the choice to go back to the “Classic View”.
New version, not good
by CyndiMo on 2019/06/26 14:57
The new update, whether in Classic or in Modern, is not good. It hurts my eyes. Maybe this is my chance to quit my daily habit of Russian Revolver? I have been playing daily for years and years!
Don’t destroy people’s visual settings!
by jaygo on 2019/06/26 11:03
I have played this game for countless hours in the last five years. You guys just broke it. When you push an update with a new visual style, it’s really bad form to destroy your users’ settings. Nothing looks the same any more and the joy has left the game for me because of the strangeness. Thanks for what you gave me for such a long time. I’m sorry you ruined it.

New version is TERRIBLE
Terrible
by ratt5425 on 2019/06/26 08:35
Please fix the slowness, since updating the app it has become very sloooow, no matter what mode. And what the heck is going on with “sharpening minds at play” do I really need to see that?
Unhappy w/new card face No Traditional
by lolCat Owner on 2019/06/26 07:21
There is a distinctly new face, not same the original face that I’m familiar with and love. This is very sad for me. I already had to delete another version that changed the look.
Simply the Best - Get It
by DrewMerkle on 2019/06/26 06:11
Simply put this is the best solitaire app in my opinion. — That being said, I am temporarily removing one star because the developer continues to tweak the user interface even when it was already fine. If it ain’t broke please don't fix it. I appreciate the attempt at ‘classic’ mode but the cards are strangely out of proportion. It’s fine to offer options, but I respectfully suggest making classic mode actually be exactly what so many of us liked before, including card designs.
Love the app, but hate the lack of split screen
by Neumero4te on 2019/06/26 05:23
I play the game a lot, but I’d love to play split screen on iPad and watch YouTube or something on the other half. I was hoping with the new modern layout that feature would be added, but it wasn’t.
New graphics are NOT an improvement
by Fisterus on 2019/06/26 04:06
The new large cards are ugly and, even in “classic” mode, are much larger than the previous version. This slows down the game and seriously decreases playability. I really wish I could “upgrade” to the previous version.
Ruined one of my favorite game apps
by ww2tt on 2019/06/26 03:57
Card appearance and games layout changed. Looks horrible, plays slower, and I am soooooo disappointed, as this was the best Solitaire app. Not anymore.
Strictly a Klondike Kid
by bazootoo on 2019/06/26 03:26
Over the past 5or6years I have played thousands of klondike one games and close to nothing else. I'm close to 80 in age and it's always been a favorite of mine. Solebon has improved steadily over the years and has a great portfolio to offer the public. The games are easy to see, the cards look real, I even like the sounds etc. This app has been a fine companion to me for a long time.
Hate the Latest Update
by SVC31580 on 2019/06/26 03:16
I hate the new update. The cards no longer respond smoothly. I don't like the new look, even when I change to Classic mode as suggested. I play this game way too much, and this update just helped me break that habit. It feels too different -- I want the old version back
I want my card faces back!
by CallMeDave on 2019/06/26 01:39
“Classic Mode” is just a different new design. It’s not the “Classic” design of before. I used to play this game (59,935 times) because it was relaxing. Now I’m just frustrated and angry when I launch it.
They keep changing the look and feel
by Allen23322 on 2019/06/26 01:25
Was a good game but they changed the whole look and feel of the game. Changed it to something I no longer like. Why they did this is beyond me. At least give option to change back. I hate it now
Solitaire upgrade

Generally great, but don’t like the larger cards
by It's a keeper on 2019/06/25 22:37
I have played this daily for years. It’s my favorite Solitaire app. However, yesterday’s update that enlarged the card size was an unpleasant surprise. I like having more space between the cards, which is now gone. Despite selecting the plainer design, the cards are still too large. I’d love to have an option to get the previous card size back, as well as the previous designs.
Update issues
by VKH700 on 2019/06/25 22:24
I am a hardcore user of this app, and in a couple games in particular, my speed of play was awesome. Then the latest update changed the card appearance, and my speed has plummeted simply because I can’t see the cards anymore. I’m a little heartbroken. Maybe with a few years of practice, my times will improve. EDIT: After a few hours of play, my eyes have adjusted to the cards. I set it to Classic with the second small card face as suggested by the developer, and I want to say, my speeds have greatly improved! Give it a chance.
Going in the wrong direction
by &&954/2-(7)&&&? on 2019/06/25 21:52
The last update practically ruined this app. The cards are now harder to read than before, irregardless of which mode or card face you select. A resounding boo is in order! Restore the previous version please.
Used to be 5 stars
by Ahmom1234 on 2019/06/25 19:54
I don’t like the new look. It is harder to see even following the recommendation of using the second setting and it looks dated. Also I have weird cards flashing to show me moves even though I have turned off all the hints and everything else I can think of but I am still seeing them. Very annoying as I would prefer to play without any input from the game.
Upgrade
by Hoodratdad on 2019/06/25 19:49
This app just upgraded to a new version that is terrible. Instead of tapping the app and going straight to the game it now has a new screen showing the game is going to start. It also is slower. I have an iPhone 10. I don’t even like the new look. GO BACK TO THE OLD VERSION!!!

Yesterday’s update adds a lot of frills that don’t do anything but cause problems. I play Agnes Sorel. Now the stats won’t update unless I “Switch” to log on with my email that it already has. This is so F frustrating. Who needs these updates anyways?????
Updated new version 25 June 2019
by ExMacHWEvangelist on 2019/06/25 15:09
Bug: use of existing photo does not allow you to center the photo and make it appear properly on a deck. Will not allow you to resize, either. Tried grabbing several photos done in portrait and landscape. They do not move or center or resize.

Beautifully executed for the small touch screen
by Alderete on 2017/11/14 04:58
I have been playing Smallware's Solavant Solitaire for years, it's a wonderful implementation of "hard" solitaire games, that emphasises clarity and smooth, graceful animation over flashy, distracting graphics or effects. I'm delighted that their taste and style has transitioned so well to the iPhone's touch screen. In particular, the card faces are designed to be highly readable, and the animation effects are as smooth as anything I've seen on the iPhone. These aspects of Solebon are not just style/taste decisions, that you may or may not like. On a screen as small as the iPhone's, it's very hard to display a full deck of cards (or two!) and have them be readable and manipulable with your finger. Solebon's graphics are lovely, but readable even when you have all the cards on-screen. And the animations help you see the effects your moves are having on the playfield. Clean, subtle, graceful, playable. One hint to new players: You might think that you drag the cards with your finger tip, but that's too hard to manage, you can't see the card your finger is on, and your hand obstructs half the screen. So instead, you first tap the card you want to move, and it (and any "attached" cards) will glow. Then touch the destination, and watch the whole stack move over. (Also, if your stacks get really deep, you can drag the playfield up and down to see what's below.) OK, enough raving, back to my game of Yukon!
I like it
by RavenKen on 2017/12/19 00:24
The most annoying thing about this app or the ONLY annoying thing about this app is it constant desire for reassurance at the App Store for reviews. Otherwise there is not a Solitaire app in the store that comes close to this for ease of use and making a Solitaire interesting. Please stop asking me to tell everybody how great this app is. ********************* All complaints handled. Recommend without reservation. ******************👍👍 Still same complaint but very minor. I have use this for years and I guess my only complaints are relatively minor one complaint is sometimes I think I broke a high score and I'd like to be able to see whether or not I did ... the screen goes dim and you just can't see if you did ... anyway but does keep track of stuff ... I like it. I recommend with no hesitation. Updating my review. I am enjoying playing ever since the latest upgrades. Still have my minor complaint about not knowing if my last game broke a record. But like last time, I recommend with no hesitation. ———————————————— I don't think it's possible to improve this anymore and this app is complete please stop upgrading it and changing it and asking for more compliments. OK I get it it's a great app it does more than possible when other people could even think of yada yada yada.
What just happened?!?
by Old Mac Hand on 2019/06/24 20:06
Update: This developer is extremely responsive. I complained to them directly and they researched the problem. It turns out the update changed the card face which made it unplayable for me. They kindly guided me on how to get my old card face back. The cards have been slightly enlarged which I haven’t gotten used to yet but I’m back in business. I can’t say enough about how kind and responsive this folks were. They have set a high bar for others to follow. Original 1 star review and complaint: The solitaire I’ve been playing and enjoying for quite some time just became unplayable to me. Without warning the look and feel changed making it unusable. Can I get my old look back? Please?
Fixed!! Problem after recent update
by LMR652 on 2017/12/13 14:53
Update: the glitch has been fixed. I'm changing my rating to 5 stars. I have used this app for years, almost daily. It’s a perfect game for killing a few minutes, and in play it at other times as well. My two favorite games in the app are Creepy Crawly and Yukon. Ignore this paragraph — the problem has been fixed. Since the most recent update, the items in the menu bar at the bottom of the game-in-progress screen do not work at all. This means, among other problems, that to start a new game I have to completely close the game and then restart it. The problem with those menu options does not clear up after a restart.

Still Love the game; Hate the new visuals.
by cdsongbird on 2019/06/24 22:45
I’ve had this app for ages, and I love the games. When you get tired of one, it’s easy to switch and challenge yourself as you get used to the new rules. (Wait, this one doesn’t build b/r/b, it’s only within the suit...) However, opened it this evening to a notice they’ve added a more modern look, and while they’ve left mine on classic view, I can change that in the settings. Well, even classic view has changed, and the cards look childish and a little out of proportion. The way the symbols and numbers/letters line up just isn’t quite right. I expect I’ll get used to it, but it’s really frustrating the this “update” has made the app uglier in my opinion.
Solitaire
by NinaMimiMom on 2019/07/02 14:34
Why or rather, what happened to the four colored suits? That's one of the features that I really like. This is the only game of solitaire that I play every day. I’ve downloaded many solitaire games only to delete them. Thank you for creating this game. November 10, 2018 Since you've updated this game I've been able to win the games I always play. Then I realized there's a "How to Win" feature that will show a player how to win the chosen game appearing on their device. Thank you for this feature and the other helpful updates.
Customer Support Suggestion
by Lifelongresearch on 2017/11/21 14:58
I thought first that my private correspondence was apparently ignored. Then I placed my concerns in a negative review. Then they responded saying they never received anything. Then they claimed it apparently got lost after they implied I may have used profanity in my original note. (See developers note below) I do not put profanity in writing. After saying they did not understand what I was saying, I explained my concern. Then they said what I called interruptions were information about new features. Then they offered me a new game. So, I guess they are trying to please their customers. My advice is to not insult the customer first for possibly using profanity for their lack of a response. I would suggest that the developer note read “We do not respond to inappropriate private correspondence.”
Still my #1 game
by Pat Ricochet on 2017/11/16 15:34
Been playing this since the beginning. Not sure about reviews saying they were "forced" to create an account? I see you can make one if you want cross-device stats, but it was optional (I didn't make one). The best part is the guaranteed-winnable option, which makes each game a puzzle to be solved, rather than a string of bad luck. It makes solitaire at it’s best, in a way physical cards could never do. Still my most played iOS game, bar none. Holds up to this day, despite being a game from way back in the early App Store days.
Still awesome
by BennSKirk on 2018/03/02 23:50
I don't need all the whiz bang new features, but the authors always provide a way to turn them off so I can still benefit from other performance and feature enhancements. Best solitaire game I've ever used, on both iPhone and iPad. Update: with the 3/1 update a double tap on a card (either on the board or the turned over cards) in Klondike no longer pops it to the aces pile. This used to work, and my muscle memory would really appreciate it if this behavior could be reinstated. UPDATE: Thanks for the super-quick fix! You guys are great!
My most used game app
by icelandscg on 2019/01/27 14:59
This is my favorite card game app. I have had it for years and it’s still the one I turn to most often. I love the variety of games— I still haven’t managed to play them all. At first I thought it was missing my favorite, Canfield, but it’s there under its other name, Demon. In addition to every traditional solitaire game imaginable, there are numerous original games that are just as addicting. Creepy Crawly has become my favorite overall. The developers listen to feedback and are constantly improving the app.
Almost the longest playing game…
by ArnellTheBlaster on 2017/11/16 06:43
This is probably the longest game I've been playing on any of the various versions of iPhones and iOS'. The game keeps getting new features to stay relevant, but the core games(s) remain true. Yes, even with the new features you can turn most of them off. I would highly recommend this game if you need a "thinking" time killer. Yes, there are other games you can play, but when it comes to solitaire-type games, you just can't beat this. Update: Still top notch.
Best solitaire app available
by Dave Dillard on 2017/12/22 04:38
this is the best solitaire app out there. I love the mechanics of playing, with the option to tap or drag and drop. I love that you have a lot of choices for card back designs, and different designs for the faces of the cards. Adding the ability to sync through account is nice. I love the statistics that the game tracks. Love love love! I would like to have a dark color option available for the card faces but that is just a small thing. This game is amazing.
Excellent Solitaire App!
by GerryDoc on 2017/12/19 23:29
Basically, this does everything you (or I) could want in a solitaire game. Many choices, virtually unlimited undoes and great customization. I've had for quite a few years and almost never leave home without it. Update: Still great fun, but the online play does nothing for me. What part of "solitaire" don't they understand? The guaranteed winner choice is interesting, but don't expect to actually win them all! Additionally, the new card choices are attractive.
Addictive
by catemuse on 2017/12/18 12:46
The makers of Soleban are brilliant. They released the game for years and collected the layouts of all the games that people won. Some games, such as Scorpion, only had a 10% chance of having a winnable layout. Then the Soleban creators updated the software so as to deliver only winnable layouts, collected over the years of people’s unwitting feedback. Now not only does Soleban deliver a huge array of fascinating solitaire games, but also every layout is winnable, removing frustration and raising the impact of user strategy.
Good game!
by Lorsm on 2018/01/11 14:02
I love Aces. It’s easy to play but is also challenging. I often replay a game I’ve lost until I finally win. Also, though it might look mindless it’s not. Often you need to think which move would take you to a win. Takes logic to do that. Creepy Crawly is another favorite. Just when you think all hope is lost for winning no you often find a card you overlooked and that leads to more fun!! Solitaire is a great collection of card games!!!
Nothing fancy!! The best
by Xantoq on 2017/11/15 22:41
That's right, nothing fancy just a straight up, no frills, beautiful solitaire game! All the solitaire games you want to play on a beautifully set up app!! Rules, simply stated and easy to understand. A 5 star app because it's the best solitaire game I've played!! I'll say it again the only solitaire game you'll ever need!! This is my last review!!!!! 5 stars, because it's the only solitaire game you'll ever need!! Still enjoy this game, but it needs a fix to stop the crashing when trying to deal final time in Russian Revolver. Thanks for the fix. Best solitaire game from the App Store. I said it was my last, it’s not, same old stuff, 5 stars, only game you’ll need. If made available on the Apple TV it would out perform all the other games that try and pass off as the best forget about it. SOLEBON ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Best solitaire app!
by tricia.leak on 2019/05/10 06:56
This app has been one of my favorite apps of all time. I play it everyday! I love the variety of games it offers. I will get obsessed with one game, and play it over and over. It gives you stats on how quickly you complete the game, and with how many moves it took you; so it is fun to try to beat records that have been set! And then if/when I get tired of playing one certain game, then I can go into another one and learn a new one!
My favorite game app since iPod Touch 1st Gen
by brightisland on 2017/11/18 06:50
I'm a huge fan of Solitaire and all of its variants. This was one of the first game apps I downloaded onto my first iPod touch and it has just gotten better and better since then. My personal favorite is Baker's Game, but there are so many great, high quality options. Now I prefer playing this on my iPad mini... my eyes just can't do the iPhone version very well any more, but still, this gets an easy 5 stars from me.

by Zeldaxp on 2018/04/03 23:26
Some of the games are not set up well. I would suggest more testing As an example Monte Carlo- the “reshuffle” function is very poor. The only changes is cards next to any holes are moved over. Which means toward the end there is often no ability for further play as there are no more options. If at the point there are no more options instead of a reshuffle why not declare the game lost. It is beyond frustrating.

This is the best set of solitaire games in the App Store. The addition of the winnable games feature is great. I especially like the Freecell game, and the addition of the one-touch anticipated moves. That is an awesome feature! The newest version is even better. The one-touch moves now include the register and it rocks! It keeps getting better and better. The ability to compete with others is awesome. It just keeps getting better!!
Always had been and still the best solitaire!
by scott_vh on 2017/12/18 01:16
Still the best solitaire app. Previous: The new update is great. I love the new scoring system and look forward to being able to restore my stats on a new phone. I've previously lost lots of stats when moving to a new phone or restore so thus will be a welcome change. Thanks!! Previous: Updated!! Now it's the best again. Works on the 6+ again and was pretty quick. Now I can get back to my solitaire addiction. Previous: Although this is the best solitaire app and I've been using it for years. The most recent update has made it impossible to play on an iPhone 6+. Please bring an option to have a larger layout. All the cards are now totally inaccessible with one hand, even with my large hands.
Still love it.
by Alohababy on 2017/08/19 05:40
One more possibility. How about the option to select a game as a favorite so as to be able to go back and play games over again? Ever since college days when before every exam I would take out a deck of cards and clear my mind by playing solitaire for 15 minutes before heading out, this game has been part of my relaxation routine. This new tech version is no exception, and this app is perfect, adding new aspects to the game. I like the new updates, especially the ability to replay a game and try to best my time, but I'd like to see that option when I win a random game. I know my first score with a random game should stand, but I'd still like to be able to see if I play differently once I know it's a winnable. Just a suggestion.
Always a classic, now even better
by ChoppyTea on 2018/05/16 23:25
Solebon is your best entertainment value, by far. For the cost of a coffee, you can get years of activity. There are so many different games with so many skill levels that you'll never get bored. The best innovation has been the online stats that compare you with other players. The competition definitely causes you to up your game. I would give Solebon my highest recommendation.
Excellent collection, 9.0 update not good
by DCRage on 2019/06/24 21:47
Been playing this for several years, maybe the best collection of card games on the App Store with both established and original games and great features. However, the 9.0 update visually is a big step back for me. I appreciate the upgrades to make it more accessible but the Classic Mode toggle doesn’t seem to do anything and I hate the new card looks-now they look ugly and it distracts from the gameplay. Still worth the price but please bring back the pre-9.0 look and feel!

by Chagres Girl on 2017/09/16 13:05
Love this App. You cannot be bored because there are so many different games to choose from. The rules for each game are clear and easy to follow - and always right on the game page, so you don't have to go searching around to find them. The stats are handy because you're (obviously) playing against yourself, so the sense of competition is always present. Try it - you'll like it.
The best solitaire app
by TheLanyard on 2017/08/11 00:06
I've been using this app for at least five years and the developers are STILL adding features. I can't think of another standalone app that is like that. Now it syncs my stats between my iPhone and iPad and lets me see how I do versus everyone else. I've never experienced a bug. Just tons of content and options. Probably the most used app on my phone. Definitely worth the purchase.
Great game
by Bonanza Driver on 2018/11/06 15:35
I’ve been playing this game for quite a while now. I enjoy it very much. I am a left handed player and that is why I did not give it a rating of 5 stars. I am looking forward to the time when we have the option of putting the undo and auto buttons on the left side. Maybe if other left handed players suggest the same thing, the developers will hear us.
None better
by JohnSimon on 2017/10/03 20:42
I'll admit I've tried other solitaire apps but this one has always been consistently better, more enjoyable to play, and I just keep coming back. Without any doubt, Solebon is the best solitaire app available. ********* A year later and I wish I was improving as fast as Solebon. This may sound feeble, but my challenge is to surpass the 50% win rate for Klondike in the next thirty days.
Newest update
by AlphaJohns on 2019/06/27 17:10
[revised below] Ugly. Thank you!
Approx 10 yrs of app using joy
by One_bad_mamma_jamma on 2018/09/24 14:15
I have had this app for a very long time. I have always been very happy with it. Whether battery is low, in airplane mode, or no wifi available, game play is easy & enjoyable. Cards are easy to move & read. Directions for each style of playing are clear, thus making game play quick to start. Truly enjoy this app. Worth every penny.
How to Win feature is not accurate
by Mrsbills3 on 2018/06/30 22:01
Have been playing these solitaire games for years & the “How to Win” feature seemed to be a nice touch, especially for the games that I don’t often play. However, the moves shown are sometime not allowable moves with the actual game... like building up on a reserve pile and the rules state that the reserve pile holds a single card. How is that a win?
Awesome app!
by WestTexGuitarDude on 2017/08/10 16:58
I've loved solitaire as a way to unwind and pass time while sitting in airports or hotel lobbies. When I went to the first smart phone (Palm Treo) it had a decent game, and when I went to iPhones, this was one of the first apps I got. I love it. Simple to set up like you want, or change as the mood suites, and now that my score moves between my iPad and iPhone, it's even better! Highly recommend it!
Absolutely the best Solitaire
by USE THIS ONE on 2018/06/29 03:33
I have a number of Solitaire games, but this is my number 1, go-to, every day Solitaire game. It has helped in my TBI rehab, as well, with memory skills and concentration. I play at least 5 games of this every day. With my head injury, Klondike is the only one I can manage, although I have graduated from the 1 card draw to the 3 card draw. Thank you for a really terrific game!
Great Games
by Caliwilli on 2018/05/04 20:39
Solebon is the ONE app I keep on all my devices. When I find myself with a few empty minutes here and there, I open up Solebon, choose one of my favorite games and indulge in Ipad or iPhone calming therapy. If I need to rush on before finished, I just close the device and pick up the saved game at the next opportunity. I really like the choice of so many games in one place!

Horrible
by ElenaPie on 2019/08/07 16:11
Card numbers aren’t uniform which makes it harder to read.

Ty.)
My go to game

Solitaire

No change. It’s a bug!

Another example of a developer ‘improving’ an app that didn’t need to be improved.

major step back
by wumpus17 on 2019/06/30 14:27
The latest version forces you to synch your scores to the cloud. Why?

New version, not good
by CyndiMo on 2019/06/26 14:57

by jaygo on 2019/06/26 11:03
I have played this game for countless hours in the last five years. You guys just broke it. When you push an update with a new visual style, it’s really bad form to destroy your users’ settings. Nothing looks the same any more and the joy has left the game for me because of the strangeness. Thanks for what you gave me for such a long time. I’m sorry you ruined it.

Unhappy w/new card face No Traditional
by lolCat Owner on 2019/06/26 07:21

Strictly a Klondike Kid
by bazootoo on 2019/06/26 03:26
Over the past 5or6years I have played thousands of klondike one games and close to nothing else. I'm close to 80 in age and it's always been a favorite of mine. Solebon has improved steadily over the years and has a great portfolio to offer the public. The games are easy to see, the cards look real, I even like the sounds etc. This app has been a fine companion to me for a long time.
Hate the Latest Update

Going in the wrong direction
by &&954/2-(7)&&&? on 2019/06/25 21:52

I like it

Please?

Addictive
by catemuse on 2017/12/18 12:46
The makers of Soleban are brilliant.
Zelda Sue
by Zeldaxp on 2018/04/03 23:26
Some of the games are not set up well.
Great Games!
by TedKennedy on 2017/11/16 02:26
This is the best set of solitaire games in the App Store.
ChagresGirl
by Chagres Girl on 2017/09/16 13:05
Love this App.
Great game
by Bonanza Driver on 2018/11/06 15:35
I’ve been playing this game for quite a while now.
Thank you!
Great Games
by Caliwilli on 2018/05/04 20:39
Solebon is the ONE app I keep on all my devices.
