I recently wrote a review for a rental we stayed in in Portland, OR. The rental was not clean. Dirty floors, dirty dishes many maintenance problems. The review was never posted to their sight. Looking at the property listing. The only bad reviews you see are minor problems with the property. No mention of the broken front door or thick fuzzy dust on top of the fans, lights and cabinets. Don’t trust Vacasa.

I am submitting this review just to reiterate Vacasa does not post poor reviews for their rentals. First time I posted this I was given a Vacasa response that they give all renters opportunity to review - but due to high volume of reviews it takes time to post. Well, I stayed in a subpar unit in September 2020 - this is June 2021 and my review with photos to back up - has not been posted. Have been seeing many other complaints on travel sites that Vacasa does not stand behind their rentals so rent with caution.

The house we stay is Ok (old, especially the kitchen, but clean). But the major problem is no internet. It is impossible to fix because it is still DSL. There are no stores where you can find it for more then a year.The Vacasa says that service men may come in 10 days. We just move in a circle from one person to another in Vacasa trying to find someone who will be able to help us. No help at all. The Vacasa is the worst management company for vacation homes. We will never use it for our vacation. People, check everything what you need before booking. Otherwise you may have a lot of surprises from them.

Went to Ocean City and stayed in the condo where the air conditioning was broke when we got there. We called and they wanted to refund us and make us find our own place because they had nothing. They kept saying they were trying to get a hold of the owner of the condo then when we found people that knew him he had no clue. They wanted to give us $25 a day for not having air-conditioning. Two kids pooped in the pool and they refused to come and clean it for days. Trying to get a refund and being hung up on by managers absolutely unprofessional!!

Run! DO NOT USE THIS APP!! Vacasa just cancelled our vacation house 2 days before our trip and did not find us a replacement. The refund did not do anything for our flights or rental car. We are beyond disappointed.
Spring Trip

The condo that we stayed in was clean and comfortable. I’m pretty sure the beds were the most comfortable we have ever encountered in our travels. It was tastefully decorated and not overdone with mountain decor. We unfortunately had one solid night of quiet during quiet hours though, our 1st night there. The unit directly above us was noisy the next 3 nights. The first night we thought they could be coming in and bringing their stuff. The second night was worse, and I had to call Vacasa to file a complaint. I followed up with the front desk in the morning as instructed. That night was even worse! We thought they were remodeling it was so loud. My husband had to finally make a visit upstairs. It was a great place, and other than the upstairs people, everyone else was wonderful. Not sure if we’ll do it again because we like to actually go to sleep, but it was nice overall.
Half Payment does not work on the app

I spoke with a customer service representative after my half payment appeared to go through, and later I received an email stating that my payment did not go through. She stated that for some reason the app doesn’t allow half payments. I’m providing feedback to the developers to look into this issue, since the app appears to allow half payments.

I booked a place on Booking.com which apparently also went through Vacasa and started getting all sorts of emails that I should download this app. But then when I went to find my trip, this app doesn’t support third-party confirmation numbers so I can’t find my trip anyway. Big waste of my time! Why do they keep asking me to download the app if it’s just gonna waste my time?

I do not recommend this Airbnb! We did not feel safe staying here. There was a neighbors peaking into our sliding glass door because they had access to what was supposed to be our private balcony. We are disgusted by the host responses to our safety concerns! The ocean view was blocked/ruined due to active construction. We reserved this place under the impression there was a beautiful beach view as shown in listing photos. The floors and baseboards were very dirty upon arriving. There was no hair dryer. The air conditioning is not working. There was no free standing fan or ceiling fan so we are continuing to overheating multiple times. I ended up with hives on my back!! The back patio connects to the neighbors patios which is a huge privacy and safety issue. We experienced a peeping tom! The stairwell on our floor was closed due to maintenance so that’s a huge fire hazard. Another thing, you cannot lock the front door from inside. We rate this Airbnb/Vacasa 1 out of 5 stars. We will not be back and I do not recommend anyone staying here. Total Airbnb nightmare. They are not even willing to give us a refund after all of this!

We had a house booked 6 months in advance and had it canceled LESS THAN 24 hours before our scheduled check in time!! Vacasa was unhelpful in finding us a new place to stay and extremely slow to refund with no sort of reconciliation for our troubles. Extremely disappointing will never rent from again. Do not list your property here.

I travel a lot for leisure + business and unfortunately I have to admit that this is the worst booking site/ app on the market. User experience is horrible, customer service is horrible, listings/ homes are horrible. I wouldn’t be surprised if they go out of business in the next couple of years.

This management company is horrible. They lied about refunding us after several errors. I will never use it again after endless hours of sitting on hold and poor customer service. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy.

I booked through Vacasa once before and didn’t have a problem. This time I booked a place and received an email confirmation. The day before my stay i called as I didn’t receive any other info about how to access my unit. I was told that my identify couldn’t be verified and my stay was canceled. I’m frustrated as now I have to find a place last minute. I hope this doesn’t happen to you!

Two days before my trip they canceled due to “covid capacity at hospitals was 0%”. I called around to all other spots - everyone said capacity at the hospitals was 9.5%. We did our trip as planned. Decided to drive by the cabin, we booked it because we knew where it was - and there was a car parked right in front!! They over booked, simple as that, and then lied using the guise of “covid”. I will never trust this app. Deleted.

Just wanted to say how awesome the folks at Vacasa have been to me. I had some family health scares that prevented me from returning to Belize and instead of losing my money they issued me a future stay credit and I will be able to return in may 2021’ for a week and again in Nov. can’t tell you how grateful I am that I chose Vacasa to work with.

Updated to the new version of the app and now we’re missing the reservation account number which was very helpful for a quick glance of how many reservations we have or if they have increased. This number was really the only purpose of viewing this app and to find out how much the reservation was for.Know if we want to find out if we have any new reservations we have to scroll down and add them all up. Kind of annoying.

I booked a luxury retreat in Stratton VT on 873 Stratton road for three nights and it was the worse experience of my life. Cable didn’t work on all three TVs. The jacauzzi was filled with swamp water so could not be used. The beds were hard as rocks. There was a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom on the main floor. The fireplace didn’t work and most importantly THEY DID NOT DISCLOSE THERE WAS RODENT INFESTATION but they marketed the place as “luxury.” Mice got into our food and left droppings. One actually jumped out of the trash at us. Vacasa would not issue us a full refund. Problem was never fixed. Never offered to place us in other accommodations. The local staff there would not answer the phone for me and speak to me about why a full refund was not warranted. Customer service just sucked from top to bottom. Nobody was remorseful. Vacasa corporate is useless unless they hear from the local team who part of the problem themselves so nothing gets solved. You’re on the phone for hours getting the run around. Tried leaving a public review to warn others of that property and Vacasa and they refuse to publish because they know they are wrong and nobody would book if they knew the truth. They still have that property listed as if the place is habitable and it isn’t and it ranges from 375-2000 per night. Please do not stay at the VT property on Stratton road labeled “Luxury mountain retreat” or any other property through Vacasa. Will not get what you paid for and won’t get your money back. The trip from hell.

This app is a joke. We stayed at a horrible rental that had hundreds of great reviews and it was a complete dump, nothing like the pictures and we had chemical burns from the hot tub. We didn’t ask for our money back or anything in return other than to write an honest review of the house. We have fought for weeks to just have our review posted and we have just gone round and round with this company. BUYERS BEWARE! This company doesn’t let you post an honest review of subpar rentals!!!! I’m sure that the good reviews are from paid individuals. We aren’t finicky. I travel for a living and have stayed in rentals all over the globe. There’s no way that we are the only ones.

Why does Vacasa insist that you download an app to access their properties? This bothers me. They could simply give me the required information in a text or email. They already charge me $75 or something for “service fee“, although I am mystified what service they actually provide. So instead of giving me good customer service, they make me download an app to use the services that I’ve just paid for. I really hate this.

Unfortunately we got a rental with busted plumbing and no one helped us. We just left and Vacasa didn’t get us a refund or try and help us. You think for $200 a night someone could make sure their water is working. There is no quality control.

210 Wapato Ridge is not worthy of any stars. Myself and five of my girlfriends stayed at this property July 27th thru 30th 2020 . we where supposed to stay thru August 2 But had to leave because the property management company would not respond to us in any way after multiple try’s . The place is a Pitt. The carpet hasn’t been cleaned ever we would not even walk on it with out shoes. Floors in the kitchen moved and are a hazard. The deck had sticky spills on it . The chairs on deck are not safe. The air conditioning didn’t work. The bathrooms where filthy the towels where put away stained and damp. Cobwebs everywhere on everything. . We where sent an email from Vacasa stating there cleaning policy in the wake of COVID-19 and there extra effort for cleaning. This place is a fraud stay away we paid top dollar per night it was not worth it. I would avoid Vacasa property management they where no where to be found. K Nixon

This was our first time using this company/app. Their customer service is horrible! I have called and can’t get through to anyone, I’ve emailed 3 times with no response. We didn’t have parking passes like we were supposed to in our unit!

We used this company for the first time for our Tennessee trip in June. It was the worst experience ever. Our cabin was a nightmare and the 2x we did call it was a 2 hour hold time. The cabin was filthy, full of mold and it rained in our cabin on the 4th night so the top bed was all wet and couldn’t be slept in. But 2 weeks after we left they were sweet enough to contact me and refund the cleaning fee for all the crap we went through🙄🙄

I love using Vacasa for making vacation rental arrangements however lately it is impossible to get in touch with them and get any kind of help through the customer service. I waited for four hours on hold one day to try to talk to somebody and still have not been able to reach anyone either by phone or by email.
House very dirty

Hello we checked into our house today and are very disappointed. The sheets are dirty, the garbage cans are overflowing, someone has thrown up in the downstairs bathroom and it wasn’t cleaned up well before we arrived and there were many fruit flies covering the toilet seat. The house was not locked upon arrival. The previous guest clearly had a party here. There is a large spill, wine, pee or vomit that was cleaned on the rug before we arrived and was sopping wet. The pool was not chemically balanced when we arrived so we personally had to put new chemicals in. Overall with coronavirus going on we do not feel like this was the clean and safe environment we were looking for. We have tried calling vacasa but haven’t had anyone answer after 30 min wait. I have pictures I would like to share. Please reach out to me.

All those —- what must be paid endorsers —- are absurd. These people don’t respond to customer comments, they don’t accommodate, they are the absolute worst VRBO or AIRBNB I have EVER worked with. Ever! Sent a specific request through the web site on June 2, and 5 more requests since then, by June 20 they hadn’t responded. They said “due to COVID” they can’t respond..... sorry my company is experiencing horrible disruptions but we are responding to our clients the same day. Set your expectations very low and expect to be disappointed by their non-response. Horrific customer experience

Apparently Vacasa has taken over management at the resort I’ve been staying at for 20 years. I’ve never had a problem with booking or reaching someone when I had a question or inquiry until now. I’ve sent numerous emails, and have called several times to no avail. They have different prices for the same room depending on which website you use. I always book a weeks stay at The Islander Resort for my birthday, and had a question regarding booking, I’ve received zero response. I am beyond disappointed with their lack of service.

They cancelled my trip and now I can’t reach their customer support. Whenever I call (7am - 8pm) automated message says the waiting time is more than 2hrs. They also do not reply to emails. I can’t get my money back!!! Beware of such a scam!

We are renting a house in Fire Island at 137 Ocean Bay Blvd in Ocean Bay Park and found the house in the middel of a construction site with construction going on 24/7. Bulldozers digging and jack hammering all night long. We don’t have beach access as was advertised. This construction was not mentioned in Vacasa’s ad, even though we found out it has been going on for a long time. The police informed us that there are no construction restrictions because the beach is state land and therefor construction can continue ALL NIGHT LONG. We haven’t been able to sleep since we arrived and VACASA is unresponsive. We have emailed several times. No reply. Calling failed due to insane wait hours. Don’t rent with Vacasa and don’t rent this property. Vacasa makes it difficult to submit a review. The only review for this property is clearly presented by Vacasa itself. This is the only way to warn others who are about to be duped.

I have never written a bad review on the App Store and am doing so now. Our experience is horrible and we still have not gotten any response from Vacasa. We have small kids and cannot access our rental information!!! We are currently out of town with our 6 year old and 2 year old. We have paid in full and our trip started yesterday. When we try to use the app with the info they provided, it says “trip not found.” We have tried to call Vacasa and spent hours on the phone waiting before being hung up on without being able to speak to anyone. Have texted, and have emailed with NO RESPONSE!!! Vacasa- contact us!!!! For anyone else reading this, be warned!!!

Just keep scrolling and book with another company . When you have issues ( and you will) it’s hard to get anyone to answer and they take forever to send anyone out. Rooms aren’t available to check in when they say , it was 24 hours later when they sent someone to fix a broken sink, they said condo had dishwasher but it did not work , AT All! Multiple issues and they just kept saying I would get reimbursed, which never happened! Will never book with them again

We loved everything about the house and location!!! The customer service thru Vascasa was pretty horrid tho-I had to call numerous times and wait a total of 2 hrs to talk to a person while we were there cause I had one simple question. The customer rep was nice once I finally got thru and I know it’s not her fault they don’t have the staff they should

When I finally got thru, waiting times up to and over two hours, it was on the last day allowed to cancel. It was the 30th day and I was told it had to be BEFORE 30 days. I also asked if I could file for a refund with the travel insurance I had purchased and this was the answer, “we don’t refund for fear, not legitimate “. Wow, I never seen anything more legitimate. Anyway, now we Have next May to hopefully get there. The bad part is I’m 77 years old and too many things are possible. We needed the money far more than another vacation.

We use Vacasa for our family trips. We save all of our money to just be with family once or twice a year & we always know Vacasa will take care of our kids, dogs, and us in a beautiful home. Anything that goes wrong is ALWAYS taken care of.. once an alarm went off due to an electrical storm from 3am to 5 and our lovely Vacasa helper fixed all. Thank you for our memories!! Definitely worth every cent.
Refused refund and not responding

Due to the corona virus outbreak and the mandatory shelter in place order that is currently in place for the state that I reside(WA) as well as the state of the vacation home I rented (OR) I was forced to cancel my upcoming trip. Not only am I having to pay full price for the trip I’m not taking including cleaning fees and water usage fees etc the home owner and the customer service via the app have not responded to my several contact attempts. Thoroughly disappointed with how this company is treating their customers during this state of emergency. Could’ve easily given a credit to use later but they won’t even respond to us.

I have been trying to cancel this reservation for 2 weeks. I have sent 3 emails and I haven’t heard from them . I purchased the cancellation insurance and expect to receive my money back. If this doesn’t happen I will pursue legal action. This seems like a big rip off to me. As of now I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone. Yes Can’t even put in a nickname because even the most ridiculous word is already taken .

Sells dumpy property rentals in scary parts of town. Sleepless noisy nights. I paid out of pocket for a hotel after I arrived. Not the app developers fault The 1 star review I left the property was never posted. Vacasa filters results and only 4 and 5 star reviews show up.

Vacasa does not work with you at all. Make sure you book your stay several months in advance and cancel prior to the 30 day mark because the company will not work with you at all if a natural disaster occurs.

The worst app I have ever dealt with. Booked a room and then a month later they say it was unavailable, they give me another room just to cancel that too. I have a whole family that’s coming on vacation from Europe and no place to stay because Vacasa screwed me over. Please please stay away from this it’ll save you a bunch of headaches.

We use Vacasa for our family trips. We save all of our money to just be with family once or twice a year & we always know Vacasa will take care of our kids, dogs, and us in a beautiful home. Anything that goes wrong is ALWAYS taken care of.. once an alarm went off due to an electrical storm from 3am to 5 and our lovely Vacasa helper fixed all. Thank you for our memories!! Definitely worth every cent.

I do not recommend this Airbnb! We did not feel safe staying here. There was a neighbors peaking into our sliding glass door because they had access to what was supposed to be our private balcony. We are disgusted by the host responses to our safety concerns! The ocean view was blocked/ruined due to active construction. We reserved this place under the impression there was a beautiful beach view as shown in listing photos. The floors and baseboards were very dirty upon arriving. There was no hair dryer. The air conditioning is not working. There was no free standing fan or ceiling fan so we are continuing to overheating multiple times. I ended up with hives on my back!! The back patio connects to the neighbors patios which is a huge privacy and safety issue. We experienced a peeping tom! The stairwell on our floor was closed due to maintenance so that’s a huge fire hazard. Another thing, you cannot lock the front door from inside. We rate this Airbnb/Vacasa 1 out of 5 stars. We will not be back and I do not recommend anyone staying here. Total Airbnb nightmare. They are not even willing to give us a refund after all of this!
Spring Trip

The condo that we stayed in was clean and comfortable. I’m pretty sure the beds were the most comfortable we have ever encountered in our travels. It was tastefully decorated and not overdone with mountain decor. We unfortunately had one solid night of quiet during quiet hours though, our 1st night there. The unit directly above us was noisy the next 3 nights. The first night we thought they could be coming in and bringing their stuff. The second night was worse, and I had to call Vacasa to file a complaint. I followed up with the front desk in the morning as instructed. That night was even worse! We thought they were remodeling it was so loud. My husband had to finally make a visit upstairs. It was a great place, and other than the upstairs people, everyone else was wonderful. Not sure if we’ll do it again because we like to actually go to sleep, but it was nice overall.

We are renting a house in Fire Island at 137 Ocean Bay Blvd in Ocean Bay Park and found the house in the middel of a construction site with construction going on 24/7. Bulldozers digging and jack hammering all night long. We don’t have beach access as was advertised. This construction was not mentioned in Vacasa’s ad, even though we found out it has been going on for a long time. The police informed us that there are no construction restrictions because the beach is state land and therefor construction can continue ALL NIGHT LONG. We haven’t been able to sleep since we arrived and VACASA is unresponsive. We have emailed several times. No reply. Calling failed due to insane wait hours. Don’t rent with Vacasa and don’t rent this property. Vacasa makes it difficult to submit a review. The only review for this property is clearly presented by Vacasa itself. This is the only way to warn others who are about to be duped.
House very dirty

Hello we checked into our house today and are very disappointed. The sheets are dirty, the garbage cans are overflowing, someone has thrown up in the downstairs bathroom and it wasn’t cleaned up well before we arrived and there were many fruit flies covering the toilet seat. The house was not locked upon arrival. The previous guest clearly had a party here. There is a large spill, wine, pee or vomit that was cleaned on the rug before we arrived and was sopping wet. The pool was not chemically balanced when we arrived so we personally had to put new chemicals in. Overall with coronavirus going on we do not feel like this was the clean and safe environment we were looking for. We have tried calling vacasa but haven’t had anyone answer after 30 min wait. I have pictures I would like to share. Please reach out to me.

This app is a joke. We stayed at a horrible rental that had hundreds of great reviews and it was a complete dump, nothing like the pictures and we had chemical burns from the hot tub. We didn’t ask for our money back or anything in return other than to write an honest review of the house. We have fought for weeks to just have our review posted and we have just gone round and round with this company. BUYERS BEWARE! This company doesn’t let you post an honest review of subpar rentals!!!! I’m sure that the good reviews are from paid individuals. We aren’t finicky. I travel for a living and have stayed in rentals all over the globe. There’s no way that we are the only ones.

The customer service thru Vascasa was pretty horrid tho-I had to call numerous times and wait a total of 2 hrs to talk to a person while we were there cause I had one simple question. The customer rep was nice once I finally got thru and I know it’s not her fault they don’t have the staff they should

Due to the corona virus outbreak and the mandatory shelter in place order that is currently in place for the state that I reside(WA) as well as the state of the vacation home I rented (OR) I was forced to cancel my upcoming trip. Not only am I having to pay full price for the trip I’m not taking including cleaning fees and water usage fees etc the home owner and the customer service via the app have not responded to my several contact attempts. Thoroughly disappointed with how this company is treating their customers during this state of emergency. Could’ve easily given a credit to use later but they won’t even respond to us.

When I finally got thru, waiting times up to and over two hours, it was on the last day allowed to cancel. It was the 30th day and I was told it had to be BEFORE 30 days. I also asked if I could file for a refund with the travel insurance I had purchased and this was the answer, “we don’t refund for fear, not legitimate “. Wow, I never seen anything more legitimate. Anyway, now we Have next May to hopefully get there. The bad part is I’m 77 years old and too many things are possible. We needed the money far more than another vacation.

Just wanted to say how awesome the folks at Vacasa have been to me. I had some family health scares that prevented me from returning to Belize and instead of losing my money they issued me a future stay credit and I will be able to return in may 2021’ for a week and again in Nov. can’t tell you how grateful I am that I chose Vacasa to work with.

Apparently Vacasa has taken over management at the resort I’ve been staying at for 20 years. I’ve never had a problem with booking or reaching someone when I had a question or inquiry until now. I’ve sent numerous emails, and have called several times to no avail. They have different prices for the same room depending on which website you use. I always book a weeks stay at The Islander Resort for my birthday, and had a question regarding booking, I’ve received zero response. I am beyond disappointed with their lack of service.

Went to Ocean City and stayed in the condo where the air conditioning was broke when we got there. We called and they wanted to refund us and make us find our own place because they had nothing. They kept saying they were trying to get a hold of the owner of the condo then when we found people that knew him he had no clue. They wanted to give us $25 a day for not having air-conditioning. Two kids pooped in the pool and they refused to come and clean it for days. Trying to get a refund and being hung up on by managers absolutely unprofessional!!

Just keep scrolling and book with another company . When you have issues ( and you will) it’s hard to get anyone to answer and they take forever to send anyone out. Rooms aren’t available to check in when they say , it was 24 hours later when they sent someone to fix a broken sink, they said condo had dishwasher but it did not work , AT All! Multiple issues and they just kept saying I would get reimbursed, which never happened! Will never book with them again

I love using Vacasa for making vacation rental arrangements however lately it is impossible to get in touch with them and get any kind of help through the customer service. I waited for four hours on hold one day to try to talk to somebody and still have not been able to reach anyone either by phone or by email.

I am submitting this review just to reiterate Vacasa does not post poor reviews for their rentals. First time I posted this I was given a Vacasa response that they give all renters opportunity to review - but due to high volume of reviews it takes time to post. Well, I stayed in a subpar unit in September 2020 - this is June 2021 and my review with photos to back up - has not been posted. Have been seeing many other complaints on travel sites that Vacasa does not stand behind their rentals so rent with caution.

I booked through Vacasa once before and didn’t have a problem. This time I booked a place and received an email confirmation. The day before my stay i called as I didn’t receive any other info about how to access my unit. I was told that my identify couldn’t be verified and my stay was canceled. I’m frustrated as now I have to find a place last minute. I hope this doesn’t happen to you!

Why does Vacasa insist that you download an app to access their properties? This bothers me. They could simply give me the required information in a text or email. They already charge me $75 or something for “service fee“, although I am mystified what service they actually provide. So instead of giving me good customer service, they make me download an app to use the services that I’ve just paid for. I really hate this.

We used this company for the first time for our Tennessee trip in June. It was the worst experience ever. Our cabin was a nightmare and the 2x we did call it was a 2 hour hold time. The cabin was filthy, full of mold and it rained in our cabin on the 4th night so the top bed was all wet and couldn’t be slept in. But 2 weeks after we left they were sweet enough to contact me and refund the cleaning fee for all the crap we went through🙄🙄
Half Payment does not work on the app

I spoke with a customer service representative after my half payment appeared to go through, and later I received an email stating that my payment did not go through. She stated that for some reason the app doesn’t allow half payments. I’m providing feedback to the developers to look into this issue, since the app appears to allow half payments.

I have been trying to cancel this reservation for 2 weeks. I have sent 3 emails and I haven’t heard from them . I purchased the cancellation insurance and expect to receive my money back. If this doesn’t happen I will pursue legal action. This seems like a big rip off to me. As of now I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone. Yes Can’t even put in a nickname because even the most ridiculous word is already taken .

I have never written a bad review on the App Store and am doing so now. Our experience is horrible and we still have not gotten any response from Vacasa. We have small kids and cannot access our rental information!!! We are currently out of town with our 6 year old and 2 year old. We have paid in full and our trip started yesterday. When we try to use the app with the info they provided, it says “trip not found.” We have tried to call Vacasa and spent hours on the phone waiting before being hung up on without being able to speak to anyone. Have texted, and have emailed with NO RESPONSE!!! Vacasa- contact us!!!! For anyone else reading this, be warned!!!

Two days before my trip they canceled due to “covid capacity at hospitals was 0%”. I called around to all other spots - everyone said capacity at the hospitals was 9.5%. We did our trip as planned. Decided to drive by the cabin, we booked it because we knew where it was - and there was a car parked right in front!! They over booked, simple as that, and then lied using the guise of “covid”. I will never trust this app. Deleted.

We had a house booked 6 months in advance and had it canceled LESS THAN 24 hours before our scheduled check in time!! Vacasa was unhelpful in finding us a new place to stay and extremely slow to refund with no sort of reconciliation for our troubles. Extremely disappointing will never rent from again. Do not list your property here.

This was our first time using this company/app. Their customer service is horrible! I have called and can’t get through to anyone, I’ve emailed 3 times with no response. We didn’t have parking passes like we were supposed to in our unit!

I recently wrote a review for a rental we stayed in in Portland, OR. The rental was not clean. Dirty floors, dirty dishes many maintenance problems. The review was never posted to their sight. Looking at the property listing. The only bad reviews you see are minor problems with the property. No mention of the broken front door or thick fuzzy dust on top of the fans, lights and cabinets. Don’t trust Vacasa.

All those —- what must be paid endorsers —- are absurd. These people don’t respond to customer comments, they don’t accommodate, they are the absolute worst VRBO or AIRBNB I have EVER worked with. Ever! Sent a specific request through the web site on June 2, and 5 more requests since then, by June 20 they hadn’t responded. They said “due to COVID” they can’t respond..... sorry my company is experiencing horrible disruptions but we are responding to our clients the same day. Set your expectations very low and expect to be disappointed by their non-response. Horrific customer experience

The house we stay is Ok (old, especially the kitchen, but clean). But the major problem is no internet. It is impossible to fix because it is still DSL. There are no stores where you can find it for more then a year.The Vacasa says that service men may come in 10 days. We just move in a circle from one person to another in Vacasa trying to find someone who will be able to help us. No help at all. The Vacasa is the worst management company for vacation homes. We will never use it for our vacation. People, check everything what you need before booking. Otherwise you may have a lot of surprises from them.

I booked a place on Booking.com which apparently also went through Vacasa and started getting all sorts of emails that I should download this app. But then when I went to find my trip, this app doesn’t support third-party confirmation numbers so I can’t find my trip anyway. Big waste of my time! Why do they keep asking me to download the app if it’s just gonna waste my time?

We had a house booked 6 months in advance and had it canceled LESS THAN 24 hours before our scheduled check in time!! Vacasa was unhelpful in finding us a new place to stay and extremely slow to refund with no sort of reconciliation for our troubles. Extremely disappointing will never rent from again. Do not list your property here.

I travel a lot for leisure + business and unfortunately I have to admit that this is the worst booking site/ app on the market. User experience is horrible, customer service is horrible, listings/ homes are horrible. I wouldn’t be surprised if they go out of business in the next couple of years.

I booked through Vacasa once before and didn’t have a problem. This time I booked a place and received an email confirmation. The day before my stay i called as I didn’t receive any other info about how to access my unit. I was told that my identify couldn’t be verified and my stay was canceled. I’m frustrated as now I have to find a place last minute. I hope this doesn’t happen to you!

Two days before my trip they canceled due to “covid capacity at hospitals was 0%”. I called around to all other spots - everyone said capacity at the hospitals was 9.5%. We did our trip as planned. Decided to drive by the cabin, we booked it because we knew where it was - and there was a car parked right in front!! They over booked, simple as that, and then lied using the guise of “covid”. I will never trust this app. Deleted.

Just wanted to say how awesome the folks at Vacasa have been to me. I had some family health scares that prevented me from returning to Belize and instead of losing my money they issued me a future stay credit and I will be able to return in may 2021’ for a week and again in Nov. can’t tell you how grateful I am that I chose Vacasa to work with.

Updated to the new version of the app and now we’re missing the reservation account number which was very helpful for a quick glance of how many reservations we have or if they have increased. This number was really the only purpose of viewing this app and to find out how much the reservation was for.Know if we want to find out if we have any new reservations we have to scroll down and add them all up. Kind of annoying.

I booked a luxury retreat in Stratton VT on 873 Stratton road for three nights and it was the worse experience of my life. Cable didn’t work on all three TVs. The jacauzzi was filled with swamp water so could not be used. The beds were hard as rocks. There was a hole in the ceiling in the bathroom on the main floor. The fireplace didn’t work and most importantly THEY DID NOT DISCLOSE THERE WAS RODENT INFESTATION but they marketed the place as “luxury.” Mice got into our food and left droppings. One actually jumped out of the trash at us. Vacasa would not issue us a full refund. Problem was never fixed. Never offered to place us in other accommodations. The local staff there would not answer the phone for me and speak to me about why a full refund was not warranted. Customer service just sucked from top to bottom. Nobody was remorseful. Vacasa corporate is useless unless they hear from the local team who part of the problem themselves so nothing gets solved. You’re on the phone for hours getting the run around. Tried leaving a public review to warn others of that property and Vacasa and they refuse to publish because they know they are wrong and nobody would book if they knew the truth. They still have that property listed as if the place is habitable and it isn’t and it ranges from 375-2000 per night. Please do not stay at the VT property on Stratton road labeled “Luxury mountain retreat” or any other property through Vacasa. Will not get what you paid for and won’t get your money back. The trip from hell.

This app is a joke. We stayed at a horrible rental that had hundreds of great reviews and it was a complete dump, nothing like the pictures and we had chemical burns from the hot tub. We didn’t ask for our money back or anything in return other than to write an honest review of the house. We have fought for weeks to just have our review posted and we have just gone round and round with this company. BUYERS BEWARE! This company doesn’t let you post an honest review of subpar rentals!!!! I’m sure that the good reviews are from paid individuals. We aren’t finicky. I travel for a living and have stayed in rentals all over the globe. There’s no way that we are the only ones.

Why does Vacasa insist that you download an app to access their properties? This bothers me. They could simply give me the required information in a text or email. They already charge me $75 or something for “service fee“, although I am mystified what service they actually provide. So instead of giving me good customer service, they make me download an app to use the services that I’ve just paid for. I really hate this.

Unfortunately we got a rental with busted plumbing and no one helped us. We just left and Vacasa didn’t get us a refund or try and help us. You think for $200 a night someone could make sure their water is working. There is no quality control.

210 Wapato Ridge is not worthy of any stars. Myself and five of my girlfriends stayed at this property July 27th thru 30th 2020 . we where supposed to stay thru August 2 But had to leave because the property management company would not respond to us in any way after multiple try’s . The place is a Pitt. The carpet hasn’t been cleaned ever we would not even walk on it with out shoes. Floors in the kitchen moved and are a hazard. The deck had sticky spills on it . The chairs on deck are not safe. The air conditioning didn’t work. The bathrooms where filthy the towels where put away stained and damp. Cobwebs everywhere on everything. . We where sent an email from Vacasa stating there cleaning policy in the wake of COVID-19 and there extra effort for cleaning. This place is a fraud stay away we paid top dollar per night it was not worth it. I would avoid Vacasa property management they where no where to be found. K Nixon

We used this company for the first time for our Tennessee trip in June. It was the worst experience ever. Our cabin was a nightmare and the 2x we did call it was a 2 hour hold time. The cabin was filthy, full of mold and it rained in our cabin on the 4th night so the top bed was all wet and couldn’t be slept in. But 2 weeks after we left they were sweet enough to contact me and refund the cleaning fee for all the crap we went through🙄🙄

I love using Vacasa for making vacation rental arrangements however lately it is impossible to get in touch with them and get any kind of help through the customer service. I waited for four hours on hold one day to try to talk to somebody and still have not been able to reach anyone either by phone or by email.

Hello we checked into our house today and are very disappointed. The sheets are dirty, the garbage cans are overflowing, someone has thrown up in the downstairs bathroom and it wasn’t cleaned up well before we arrived and there were many fruit flies covering the toilet seat. The house was not locked upon arrival. The previous guest clearly had a party here. There is a large spill, wine, pee or vomit that was cleaned on the rug before we arrived and was sopping wet. The pool was not chemically balanced when we arrived so we personally had to put new chemicals in. Overall with coronavirus going on we do not feel like this was the clean and safe environment we were looking for. We have tried calling vacasa but haven’t had anyone answer after 30 min wait. All those —- what must be paid endorsers —- are absurd. These people don’t respond to customer comments, they don’t accommodate, they are the absolute worst VRBO or AIRBNB I have EVER worked with. Ever! Sent a specific request through the web site on June 2, and 5 more requests since then, by June 20 they hadn’t responded. They said “due to COVID” they can’t respond..... sorry my company is experiencing horrible disruptions but we are responding to our clients the same day. Set your expectations very low and expect to be disappointed by their non-response. Horrific customer experience

Apparently Vacasa has taken over management at the resort I’ve been staying at for 20 years. I’ve never had a problem with booking or reaching someone when I had a question or inquiry until now. I’ve sent numerous emails, and have called several times to no avail. They have different prices for the same room depending on which website you use. I always book a weeks stay at The Islander Resort for my birthday, and had a question regarding booking, I’ve received zero response. I am beyond disappointed with their lack of service.

We are renting a house in Fire Island at 137 Ocean Bay Blvd in Ocean Bay Park and found the house in the middel of a construction site with construction going on 24/7. Bulldozers digging and jack hammering all night long. We don’t have beach access as was advertised. This construction was not mentioned in Vacasa’s ad, even though we found out it has been going on for a long time. The police informed us that there are no construction restrictions because the beach is state land and therefor construction can continue ALL NIGHT LONG. We haven’t been able to sleep since we arrived and VACASA is unresponsive. We have emailed several times. No reply. Calling failed due to insane wait hours. Don’t rent with Vacasa and don’t rent this property. Vacasa makes it difficult to submit a review. The only review for this property is clearly presented by Vacasa itself. This is the only way to warn others who are about to be duped.

I have never written a bad review on the App Store and am doing so now. Our experience is horrible and we still have not gotten any response from Vacasa. We have small kids and cannot access our rental information!!! We are currently out of town with our 6 year old and 2 year old. We have paid in full and our trip started yesterday. When we try to use the app with the info they provided, it says “trip not found.” We have tried to call Vacasa and spent hours on the phone waiting before being hung up on without being able to speak to anyone. Have texted, and have emailed with NO RESPONSE!!! Vacasa- contact us!!!! For anyone else reading this, be warned!!!

Just keep scrolling and book with another company . When you have issues ( and you will) it’s hard to get anyone to answer and they take forever to send anyone out. Rooms aren’t available to check in when they say , it was 24 hours later when they sent someone to fix a broken sink, they said condo had dishwasher but it did not work , AT All! Multiple issues and they just kept saying I would get reimbursed, which never happened! Will never book with them again

When I finally got thru, waiting times up to and over two hours, it was on the last day allowed to cancel. It was the 30th day and I was told it had to be BEFORE 30 days. I also asked if I could file for a refund with the travel insurance I had purchased and this was the answer, “we don’t refund for fear, not legitimate “. Wow, I never seen anything more legitimate. Anyway, now we Have next May to hopefully get there. The bad part is I’m 77 years old and too many things are possible. We needed the money far more than another vacation.

We use Vacasa for our family trips. We save all of our money to just be with family once or twice a year & we always know Vacasa will take care of our kids, dogs, and us in a beautiful home. Anything that goes wrong is ALWAYS taken care of.. once an alarm went off due to an electrical storm from 3am to 5 and our lovely Vacasa helper fixed all. Thank you for our memories!! Definitely worth every cent.

Due to the corona virus outbreak and the mandatory shelter in place order that is currently in place for the state that I reside(WA) as well as the state of the vacation home I rented (OR) I was forced to cancel my upcoming trip. Not only am I having to pay full price for the trip I’m not taking including cleaning fees and water usage fees etc the home owner and the customer service via the app have not responded to my several contact attempts. Thoroughly disappointed with how this company is treating their customers during this state of emergency. Could’ve easily given a credit to use later but they won’t even respond to us.

I have been trying to cancel this reservation for 2 weeks. I have sent 3 emails and I haven’t heard from them . I purchased the cancellation insurance and expect to receive my money back. I do not recommend this Airbnb! We did not feel safe staying here. There was a neighbors peaking into our sliding glass door because they had access to what was supposed to be our private balcony. We are disgusted by the host responses to our safety concerns! The ocean view was blocked/ruined due to active construction. We reserved this place under the impression there was a beautiful beach view as shown in listing photos. The floors and baseboards were very dirty upon arriving. There was no hair dryer. The air conditioning is not working. There was no free standing fan or ceiling fan so we are continuing to overheating multiple times. I ended up with hives on my back!! The back patio connects to the neighbors patios which is a huge privacy and safety issue. We experienced a peeping tom! The stairwell on our floor was closed due to maintenance so that’s a huge fire hazard. Another thing, you cannot lock the front door from inside. We rate this Airbnb/Vacasa 1 out of 5 stars. We will not be back and I do not recommend anyone staying here. Total Airbnb nightmare. They are not even willing to give us a refund after all of this!
Spring Trip

The condo that we stayed in was clean and comfortable. I’m pretty sure the beds were the most comfortable we have ever encountered in our travels. It was tastefully decorated and not overdone with mountain decor. We unfortunately had one solid night of quiet during quiet hours though, our 1st night there. The unit directly above us was noisy the next 3 nights. The first night we thought they could be coming in and bringing their stuff. The second night was worse, and I had to call Vacasa to file a complaint. I followed up with the front desk in the morning as instructed. That night was even worse! We thought they were remodeling it was so loud. My husband had to finally make a visit upstairs. It was a great place, and other than the upstairs people, everyone else was wonderful. Not sure if we’ll do it again because we like to actually go to sleep, but it was nice overall.

I also asked if I could file for a refund with the travel insurance I had purchased and this was the answer, “we don’t refund for fear, not legitimate “. Wow, I never seen anything more legitimate. Anyway, now we Have next May to hopefully get there. The bad part is I’m 77 years old and too many things are possible. We needed the money far more than another vacation.

Just wanted to say how awesome the folks at Vacasa have been to me. I had some family health scares that prevented me from returning to Belize and instead of losing my money they issued me a future stay credit and I will be able to return in may 2021’ for a week and again in Nov. can’t tell you how grateful I am that I chose Vacasa to work with.

Apparently Vacasa has taken over management at the resort I’ve been staying at for 20 years. I’ve never had a problem with booking or reaching someone when I had a question or inquiry until now. I’ve sent numerous emails, and have called several times to no avail. They have different prices for the same room depending on which website you use. I always book a weeks stay at The Islander Resort for my birthday, and had a question regarding booking, I’ve received zero response. I am beyond disappointed with their lack of service.

Went to Ocean City and stayed in the condo where the air conditioning was broke when we got there. We called and they wanted to refund us and make us find our own place because they had nothing. They kept saying they were trying to get a hold of the owner of the condo then when we found people that knew him he had no clue. They wanted to give us $25 a day for not having air-conditioning. Two kids pooped in the pool and they refused to come and clean it for days. Trying to get a refund and being hung up on by managers absolutely unprofessional!!

Just keep scrolling and book with another company . When you have issues ( and you will) it’s hard to get anyone to answer and they take forever to send anyone out. Rooms aren’t available to check in when they say , it was 24 hours later when they sent someone to fix a broken sink, they said condo had dishwasher but it did not work , AT All! Multiple issues and they just kept saying I would get reimbursed, which never happened! Will never book with them again

I love using Vacasa for making vacation rental arrangements however lately it is impossible to get in touch with them and get any kind of help through the customer service. I waited for four hours on hold one day to try to talk to somebody and still have not been able to reach anyone either by phone or by email.

I am submitting this review just to reiterate Vacasa does not post poor reviews for their rentals. First time I posted this I was given a Vacasa response that they give all renters opportunity to review - but due to high volume of reviews it takes time to post. Well, I stayed in a subpar unit in September 2020 - this is June 2021 and my review with photos to back up - has not been posted. Have been seeing many other complaints on travel sites that Vacasa does not stand behind their rentals so rent with caution.

I booked through Vacasa once before and didn’t have a problem. This time I booked a place and received an email confirmation. The day before my stay i called as I didn’t receive any other info about how to access my unit. I was told that my identify couldn’t be verified and my stay was canceled. I’m frustrated as now I have to find a place last minute. I hope this doesn’t happen to you!

Why does Vacasa insist that you download an app to access their properties? This bothers me. They could simply give me the required information in a text or email. They already charge me $75 or something for “service fee“, although I am mystified what service they actually provide. So instead of giving me good customer service, they make me download an app to use the services that I’ve just paid for. I really hate this.

We used this company for the first time for our Tennessee trip in June. It was the worst experience ever. Our cabin was a nightmare and the 2x we did call it was a 2 hour hold time. The cabin was filthy, full of mold and it rained in our cabin on the 4th night so the top bed was all wet and couldn’t be slept in. But 2 weeks after we left they were sweet enough to contact me and refund the cleaning fee for all the crap we went through🙄🙄

I spoke with a customer service representative after my half payment appeared to go through, and later I received an email stating that my payment did not go through. She stated that for some reason the app doesn’t allow half payments. I’m providing feedback to the developers to look into this issue, since the app appears to allow half payments.

I have been trying to cancel this reservation for 2 weeks. I have sent 3 emails and I haven’t heard from them . I purchased the cancellation insurance and expect to receive my money back. If this doesn’t happen I will pursue legal action. This seems like a big rip off to me. As of now I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone. Yes Can’t even put in a nickname because even the most ridiculous word is already taken .

I have never written a bad review on the App Store and am doing so now. Our experience is horrible and we still have not gotten any response from Vacasa. We have small kids and cannot access our rental information!!! We are currently out of town with our 6 year old and 2 year old. We have paid in full and our trip started yesterday. When we try to use the app with the info they provided, it says “trip not found.” We have tried to call Vacasa and spent hours on the phone waiting before being hung up on without being able to speak to anyone. Have texted, and have emailed with NO RESPONSE!!! Vacasa- contact us!!!! For anyone else reading this, be warned!!!

Two days before my trip they canceled due to “covid capacity at hospitals was 0%”. I called around to all other spots - everyone said capacity at the hospitals was 9.5%. We did our trip as planned. Decided to drive by the cabin, we booked it because we knew where it was - and there was a car parked right in front!! They over booked, simple as that, and then lied using the guise of “covid”. I will never trust this app. Deleted.

We had a house booked 6 months in advance and had it canceled LESS THAN 24 hours before our scheduled check in time!! Vacasa was unhelpful in finding us a new place to stay and extremely slow to refund with no sort of reconciliation for our troubles. Extremely disappointing will never rent from again. Do not list your property here.

The worst app I have ever dealt with. Booked a room and then a month later they say it was unavailable, they give me another room just to cancel that too. I have a whole family that’s coming on vacation from Europe and no place to stay because Vacasa screwed me over. Please please stay away from this it’ll save you a bunch of headaches.

This was our first time using this company/app. Their customer service is horrible! I have called and can’t get through to anyone, I’ve emailed 3 times with no response. We didn’t have parking passes like we were supposed to in our unit!

I travel a lot for leisure + business and unfortunately I have to admit that this is the worst booking site/ app on the market. User experience is horrible, customer service is horrible, listings/ homes are horrible. I wouldn’t be surprised if they go out of business in the next couple of years.

I recently wrote a review for a rental we stayed in in Portland, OR. The rental was not clean. Dirty floors, dirty dishes many maintenance problems. The review was never posted to their sight. Looking at the property listing. The only bad reviews you see are minor problems with the property. No mention of the broken front door or thick fuzzy dust on top of the fans, lights and cabinets. Don’t trust Vacasa.

All those —- what must be paid endorsers —- are absurd. These people don’t respond to customer comments, they don’t accommodate, they are the absolute worst VRBO or AIRBNB I have EVER worked with. Ever! Sent a specific request through the web site on June 2, and 5 more requests since then, by June 20 they hadn’t responded. They said “due to COVID” they can’t respond..... sorry my company is experiencing horrible disruptions but we are responding to our clients the same day. Set your expectations very low and expect to be disappointed by their non-response. Horrific customer experience

Vacasa does not work with you at all. Make sure you book your stay several months in advance and cancel prior to the 30 day mark because the company will not work with you at all if a natural disaster occurs.
