One BIG Problem

I love Disney+, but there is one major problem: downloads. The first part of the problem is that when I download something, it deletes itself 5 minutes later 50% of the time. It literally gave me a note when I first downloaded something that it would do this, so you cant say that it’s just me. The second part is that when it deletes these downloads, or even when I voluntarily delete them, they still take up space on my device somehow. In order to fix this, I have to delete the entire app, reinstall it, and sign back in. I can only get on on my TV on my iPad I have the app but when I press the button it just is the blue color of Disney and then it just goes out and that doesn’t happen with any of my other apps so please fix it otherwise I love everything

Virtual queues sound great but are actually awful. Four of us continually reloading the queue page right on time failed to get a reservation twice in one day. It would be better to let the people who really want to ride stand in line than making us punch useless buttons like monkeys only to be told that the incredibly high price we paid to enter this park was insufficient to secure even the right to stand in line for an hour or two for a ride. The help also needs work. Many obvious questions are not answered, such as how to link my ios app to my bracelet when my wife bought the tickets. I had to send a help email for which I still have not received a response. Not up to Disney standards.

What I don’t understand is how all the marvel movies are added on for the most part yet only two of the X-Men movies are on this app?? You’d think if they were gonna out a marvel section that would include ALLLLLLL MARVEL MOVIES? No? Makes no sense to me. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m pleasantly surprised at how well Disney + is doing. It’s awesome. Everything I look for in a streaming service. However there’s no start over feature when watching a previously started movie. I’d rather just watch from the beginning instead of picking up where I left off. Also 2 feature films are missing from the Disney library, Make Mine Music and Ralph Breaks the Internet. I thought you were supposed to have all the feature films there. Cmon Disney, let’s get it done please. Other than those qualms, I love it.

Overall it’s a pretty good app. It has a lot of stuff that I’m interested in like Star Wars, Marvel, National Geographic, and some Fox content. There are a few features that would be nice though like a Fox section, being able to remove stuff from your continue watching, and being able to add passwords to your profiles.

Over all, my opinion is you have to watch out for what your children are watching on this channel. Yes, now with Disney adding some very adult content to their family entertainment. One is the Black Is King. That is not something I would want my two and seven year old girls to emanate or to witness. Plus with Disney political statements like selling LOL dolls they will surely in up like Netflix, some of the sports and companies that push their political agendas. You would think they would learn but it will happen to Disney too.

I love that I can keep my kids entertained with their favorite movies when we are away from the television. I just wish the app had a screen lock like the Netflix app has, so that little toddler fingers don’t keep pausing, rewinding, fast forwarding and turning off the movies! If I could rate as a negative, I would. I am disappointed and irritated with Disney+. I resubscribed (after using up free trial) so my family could watch the new movie Mulan... only to find out you have to pay an additional $29.99 to watch the movie? I canceled my subscription immediately after I found that out but I don’t get my money back. This app is very deceitful! We don’t watch many Disney movies as it is... so it’s been a complete waste of money.

Too little of a selection of movies to watch, it never seems to load or work on my phone even though it’s the 11 pro max with WiFi on and data on, I tried this on my fire tv but it doesn’t load or just exits out of the app and won’t let me use it, on top of the streaming charge who is going to pay $30 for Mulan? I just watched it for free on a better website that actually loads and still manages to load ads into the video with better and faster quality, trash app for a trash selection

It is not possible to download and play videos thru a projector (TV) using an HDMI cable. We use this feature while camping. Not sure if the recent update or iOS 14 (beta) broke this but it is absolute and always.

First of all, whenever I couldn't watch Disney + due to the app either stopping or buffering I switched to Prime Video or HBOMax and had NO problems. It also freezes up on some pages so I am unable to watch anything without exiting and restarting. Not for something I'm paying for Disney. Also, if I'm in the middle of a movie or series, those items should be the first line at the top of the home page under the banner and the " recommended for you," which is at the top is worthless. I'm sure Disney will fix these problems but I'm not paying while they improve the app.

Disney did something where now I can’t cast my movies from my phone onto the TV anymore! That’s how my kids watched Disney+! But now with this new update we can only watch it on my iPhone. Disney needs to unlock this and allow us to cast again!

I really do enjoy Disney+. Me and my family bought it about a month ago. I personally am a hardcore Disney fan so I love this app. I think the price is just a little to high, but I mean it’s Disney so what do you expect? The overall condition of the app is kind of weird. I want the continue watching to be like Netflix, where when you get to the credits and get off of the movie, it doesn’t show in your continue watching anymore. I’m a very organized person so that kind of bothers me. The 10 second fast forward and rewind button is very glitchy. The volume on all of these shows and movies are really low. Thanks for reading my review and absolutely NO hate to Disney!!

so i've been using the app for a while and it's really great. i usually cast movies to my tv, and i tried to cast the Aristocats on my tv for 2 days but it just kept buffering and wouldn't play. I thought it was my wifi but it played fine on my phone and i tried casting another movie and it worked. why is aristocats not playing???

Disney plus is a fantastic app! They have great movies and tv shows (especially now with Once Upon a Time, my absolute favorite and Hamilton) however it is a bit slow to load sometimes. The customer service for this app too is also quite incredible and helped me so much in the past when I was struggling with something! And for the review asking for Harry Potter movies and other stuff, this is a DISNEY app, Harry Potter is not Disney it’s Universal. If you wanna watch it so badly then download HBO max or buy it on Amazon.

This app for iOS needs a lot of work. It’s among one of the worst streaming service apps I’ve had on my phone or iPad. It is constantly crashing, I get error messages for playback, and titles are hard to find with the way they are organized.
No Parental Controls

You would think Disney being that it focuses on children would provide parental controls but the app does not! They offer you “kids profile” but the child can just change profiles in two seconds and go to main profile which can not be put in kids profile. Also the app does not follow the content restrictions on the device, so even if you have the device set for G only it will play PG13. Disney please have you app follow the content restrictions on the device and add true content restrictions in the app not just kids profile. Finally add a password to change from a kids profile to adult / main profile. If HBOMax can do it so can Disney!

If you have young kids it’s great. Don’t think twice -get it. My review is for people with older kids and fans of Marvel and Star Wars. My teen girls do not watch it at all. As a Marvel fan and Star Wars fan that has seen all the movies it’s ok to watch here and there but completely lacks new stuff. One series that had little action the Mandolorian. Not better than any of the movies. Content just lacks. I guess Netflix spoils us. Disney has almost no weekly new releases for all ages like Netflix. and when they add new movies they want you to upgrade to a more expensive plan when you’re already bored of the current plan. Because there’s no new content? I can not justify continuing after Verizon’s free year. I rarely use the service. Rare to see anything new for adults that doesn’t require a costly upgrade. Did I mention I’m bored of the same content?

The last required update has messed with my whole phone. Some movies are completely out of sync...sound/picture. And the help center only offers what questions THEY WANT TO ANSWER ! No help at all. Seriously Disney. A company with your resources should Do better

My entire family has been enjoying the variety of great content. The service has also been steady and reliable for us, with only one or two glitches over a few months now. However, the app/ Apple TV interface could use some improvement... My kids are young enough that I don't really want them to have complete access. Its great that they can have their own profiles with limits, but if it exists I've yet to find a way to prevent them from just using my profile. (We mostly steam via Apple TV in case it differs) Further, there is little to no useful history. Yes the continue watching was tweaked, but it is still far from enough. How hard world it be to provide a simple list with thumbnails of everything a profile has watched and when, preferably sortable but at least in reverse chronological order? (As a software developer that's rhetorical. Its easy!) That would let me monitor kids use of my profile (until it's protected as it should be) as well as see what they're watching in their own profiles. It also should not be hard to add a watched count and last watched on date to any show I go to the details of, and a progress bar for anything partially watched. This is basic stuff that should already be in your database. Let me see it too please!

I really like Disney+ I’m really a huge Disney fan Fr lol. But I was paying for it every month and I realized I rarely use it because I can’t download Disney+ to my tv && it won’t even connect to my tv by me using the app on my phone. So I barely even watch it & i can’t download Disney+ on my windows 10 , when I search it when the Store it doesn’t even pop up smh. Anyway I really feel like you guys need to just update the app to where it’ll connect to the tv via Bluetooth and wifi

Disney plus is awesome and has a lot of throwbacks and even some of the newer shows and movies es, however they didn’t fool me when they took the movie Never been kissed (Great movie) and then put it back on there, also they won’t let me watch soy Luna, they just added season’s 2 and 3 ,but everytime I try to get to season 2 they kick me out of the app, and for those of you that are enthusiastic enough to pay $30 for Mulan congrats, your true Disney fans

Disabling HDMI output by the app is disappointing and frustrating. We purchased Mulan and planned to watch outdoors on our projector via HDMI/iPad only to find that the app crashes both on iPad & iPhone if using an HDMI connection.

My kids and I were so excited to get Disney + after Mulan but every Friday night when we were trying to watch the movies. It always happened nothing playing just the blank screen. Just frustrating and disappointing with Disney + what a waste of money and time for my whole year membership. We can’t even watch the movies when we want to.

This app is truly amazing! i don’t have cable at my house so i can watch all my childhood shows whenever i want to.... one thing, there is this one show that i would love to have on here. it’s called “Backstage” i loved this show however they took it off netflix so i can’t watch it anymore but it would be great if it was on here! also thank you so much for adding “Once upon a time”! Using an iPhone and casting to Chromecast works fine, but if I get disconnected or stop casting on my own and hit play, it starts over from the beginning. Pretty sure this used to work and resumed where I left off. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I love this app so much and I enjoyed watching my favorite Disney movies from touch of my iPad and the remote of my TV it is very enjoyable for all ages and I’m gonna give you my honest opinion the app is still prettying new but there are some Disney movies that will come later in the future so all of us Disney fans don’t have to worry and I also enjoyed the Disney show I personally love these shows and I’m excited to see what Disney+ has it for the future and I also wanted to say thank you to the creators because we wouldn’t have a large Disney vault of Disney movies to watch freely without them :3

Love the app and I like that we can view what we are watching and continue it where we left off. But I do wish we could delete what we are no longer watching. For example we watch a movie and end at the credits. For that to not show up in the continue watching list we have to fast forward through the credits for it to no longer show in that list. Or even if we start watching a series for a show but lost interest, we should be able to get ride of it so we aren’t consistently seeing it in the continue watching list.
It gets 1 Star for the Mandalorian.

Everything about this app is utter crap. I have it on my phone, and smart tv and I can count on 1 hand the number of times this app has actually worked the way it’s meant to. It constantly stops to buffer (I’m an online gamer and I have Netflix Hulu and amazon which all run perfectly, so I know my WiFi isn’t the problem). The app is so user-unfriendly, the menus are clunky and aggravating to navigate and you can’t even enjoy the content because you will be kicked from streaming within the first 5 minutes of watching something. At least you can watch the Mandalorian though.

To explain, my wife and I are often out in an RV trailer with an “un/smart” tv and no internet/data coverage. When using the Apple brand lightning/hdmi adapter with our Apple products, downloaded content (paid for and downloaded at home to be viewed while we are in our RV) is not watchable on the tv. Other apps work fine. While this may be an effort to protect copyright material, I see it as a direct hinderance of my ability to view my purchased content. Fixing this problem would greatly change my opinion of this app.

Disney plus is an app you have to buy, for an app you have to buy it has some low points. To start with is the thing that I hate the most. You can’t use the Disney+ app when it needs an update. Disney+ takes up sooooo much storage already and when it needs an update you have to wait until you have enough storage on your device! I also had to keep the Disney Now app just so I could watch new episodes of currently airing shows which is REALLY annoying and takes up more of my storage. I also hate the fact that a few shows, like Andi Mack, don’t have the entire season! It’s like starting a movie and skipping an entire hour of it! It is also quite annoying that there are the 1st and/or 2nd movie in a three movie series on Disney+. I watched the first mighty ducks but the second and third one are not on Disney+. I do however like the fact that they have all the original Disney movies that you have to buy on your regular TV. This is a good app for someone who is into only the older Disney movies and shows. However, it can be quite annoying for someone like me who likes old and new Disney shows and movies.

My entire family has been enjoying the variety of great content. The service has also been steady and reliable for us, with only one or two glitches over a few months now. However, the app/ Apple TV interface could use some improvement... My kids are young enough that I don't really want them to have complete access. Its great that they can have their own profiles with limits, but if it exists I've yet to find a way to prevent them from just using my profile. (We mostly steam via Apple TV in case it differs) Further, there is little to no useful history. Yes the continue watching was tweaked, but it is still far from enough. How hard world it be to provide a simple list with thumbnails of everything a profile has watched and when, preferably sortable but at least in reverse chronological order? (As a software developer that's rhetorical. Its easy!) That would let me monitor kids use of my profile (until it's protected as it should be) as well as see what they're watching in their own profiles. It also should not be hard to add a watched count and last watched on date to any show I go to the details of, and a progress bar for anything partially watched. This is basic stuff that should already be in your database. Let me see it too please!

Disney+ is a pretty good app especially for hardcore Disney fans. But there are way too many issues for an app that you have to BUY. To begin, the volume quality is the worst for me. My hearing isn’t the best so I tend to turn the volume for things all the way up. I did this on my NEW computer, and NEW iPad and the volume was very low. The iPad volume was a bit better but still not as loud as I wanted and/or anticipated. Furthermore, it keeps recommending the same few amount of shows, movies etc. I want to be able to find new things to watch easier. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a hardcore Hamilton fan and I am pleased to see it on the main page, but everything else keeps getting recommended on and on and on. Continuing from Hamilton, this is not a necessary addition but I would like to see more musicals. It already has Hamilton and Newsies, and I enjoyed them the most out of anything on the app. But like I said this is an option and I know it’s meant for Disney things, that’s just what I want. There are a couple of more issues but I’m going to leave it on this final opinion, which is the 10 second fast forward button. Most of the time when I fast forward with the 10 second button the screen is just frozen. It happens on all of my devices and it’s quite annoying. Using the scroll bar with mostly my finger is not fun. That’s really all I have to say so I hope you, the reader take these notes into consideration. Take care!

Dear Disney, I had to write a Magical Disney review I accidentally hit no when prompted on my XBox but I love you guys forever Disney Plus is like opening the vault to a whole new world of wonder from The Classics to Imaginers, Disney History about Walt! To new installments of Lion King and even originals of Family Cooking Competitions! If you love Disney and don’t feel like popping those classic Disney DVDs this adventure is for you! Let’s see I watched everything from the installments of Pirates of the Caribbean, Avatar (looking for #2 Spielberg), FROZEN II, to reliving inspiration and love together winning over adversity Remember The Titian’s, Queen of Katwe, Secretariat, not to mention all of MARVEL the Entire collection and complimentary movies like Captain America, Iron Man (all 1-3 movies I’ll go toe to toe stating Iron Man and Robert Downey Jr is the first Avenger as opposed to Captain America who I love too as “The First Avenger” movie), to Avengers End Game to Star WARS the saga! And the newest installment The Mandalorian. This app makes you want to head back to Walt Disney World and get the full load of the magic, it’s just enough touch of magic for the family during difficult times and create happiness for the family ...I just hope everyone gets back to being health, Love and air hugs to everyone! Good content but the app is very buggy

The have a lot of great stuff in the app but the app itself has a lot of bugs. When the screen pops up that says new episode, I try to press it but it does nothing. While playing a video, you have to be careful where you touch or else it will exit out of the video even if you touched nowhere near the back button. The play button buffers. Not the video, but the button itself. There are times when I want to pause the video/movie and I can’t because I have to wait for the play button to buffers. Sometimes the app just crashes for almost no reason. I’ll be watching something like The Simpsons and the app will just crash. Don’t get me wrong, it is not a bad app, it just needs some major improvements. They do have a lot of stuff on there. I personally have watch led a lot of their classic movies and the Disney+ originals. I recommend The World According to Jeff Goldblum and High School Musical: The Musical - The Series (i am a big High School Musical fan). I think Disney just needs to make some much needed changes to the app and fix all of the current issues. Also, in my opinion, they should add some of the ABC shows like Once Upon a Time or Blackish or Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. They should also make certain shows like The Simpsons the original aspect ratio. With certain older shows and movies, you miss some key details showing it in a 16:9 aspect ratio rather a 4:3 aspect ratio.

I waited for a while before subscribing from Disney Plus for a few bugs to get worked out. Overall I am happy but there are a couple improvements I wish they would work on. First, when trying to rewind a movie with the 10 second rewind button, it usually only works once on my iPad. I have to scroll with my finger to go back, then I also get another push of the 10 second rewind button only to repeat the scrolling... I have not tried the forward button but imagine the same problem. If that is the worse problem I have with bugs then I feel they are headed in the right direction. It is a very minor annoyance for me. The other thing I wish was that Disney had more of their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s live films available. There are many I want to watch again and are not available yet. Hopefully, Disney will continue to add more movies every so often. Monthly would be perfect. I also wish there were more options for breaking down what movies or shows to choose from by preference. I like live filmed older family movies from 3 generations. Sometimes I would like to know more about the stars of the film and what other Disney films they were in, even if the films are not available yet. But, I imagine in time many changes and improvements will be made.

I love how they have ALL the Disney Chanel Originals which was the biggest thing I was wanting. I’ve only been exploring for a little while but it has sooo much. I am frustrated with not having a “currently watching” list though, that is a pretty necessary thing when I stop watching for a bit I don’t want to have to re-search for my show. That is the only reason it is not 5 stars. One last thing is I’ve read that some older movies may be censored due to racial or ethnic jokes/slurs or whatever. I really hope they DO NOT do this because that is not only changing beloved movies and shows it is an attempt to alter history. Whether it is approved of or not in today’s society it is a fact that people thought differently in former years and it shows in how they made everything from film to art to books. If there is concern on how it will affect today’s children then it should be seen as a conversation point not something to remove, and if it offends adults then they have the right not to watch it same as we all do for anything. If censoring must be done then make it optional so that those who want to watch the shows in their entirety can freely do so. Having a commentary or intro series for each explaining the societal and cultural environment of the time would be welcome

Addendum: They added a continue watching and a recommended for you. Increased to 4 stars, now just waiting for new content to see how it goes. I got this app for the bew star wars stuff coming out which is awesome. And it has things from the vault, old cartoons. It has sub sections: star wars/disney/marvel etc. that being said. Theirs things to work on. Theirs no continue watching, you need to either add it to your current watch to the watchlist or search every time. And it wont always remember where you left off especially for shows itll just replay ep 1 however i havent had this issue with movies, it remembers my place most times. It freezes often requiring you to close and reopen the app(ps4) havent had freeze issues on tablet. Itll also freeze and then go back a minute replaying things as it tries to correct itself. The current library is very limited to older disney movies. As i believe other streaming oroviders have current contracts for certain movies they prolly wont be able to add them to disney+ till other hulu/netflix movies are done with their contracts example is a limited marvel movie selection. They have plans to add more shows/movies so i think itll be like netflix where they add and remove shows and movies. When its less buggy I’ll prolly give it 4-5 stars at that time.
Decent app, security not so great

My issues with Disney+ was that my account got hacked, the password was changed and I changed it again after realizing it was hacked. However, THE EMAIL WAS CHANGED TOO! WITHOUT ME EVEN KNOWING! How that was possible, I don't know. After calling customer service and being on the phone the first time, we changed the email and password, only to find out by the first not helpful representative, that they don't give the option to sign everyone out even though you are the administrator of the account, so changing everything was pointless. He basically states that the people who hacked the account will still have access even though I changed all of the login information. I was ready to quit the whole Disney+ until I called customer service again the following day and spoke to Shay, her kindness and helpfulness convinced me to stay with Disney+. She revoked the account immediately and then helped me make a new account. One thing that should be added is better security. For someone to take over my account so easily and change the email and password was a horrible experience. Another thing that should be added is being able to log everyone out as an administrator of the account. The app is decent because of the shows it offers, I do not encounter any buffering and so on; however, the security and privacy isn't that great. .

I LOVE this app and have really enjoyed introducing my kiddos to all of the classics! I feel like I am a kid again and am in 7th heaven when I come home and ALL of the Disney movies are just waiting for me! My kids love it and everyone has a new favorite show. All of our other streaming services have officially been forgotten so thank you Disney for saving my hard earned money and for putting all of the most amazing movies in one place!! Please do not remove older shows due to older views and fear of offending people. I love all Disney movies and appreciate them for what they were and acknowledge that views have drastically changed over the decades. Some items may be offensive, even to me as a African American woman but as so many other have pointed out these are better used as talking points for our children. We cannot alway run from the offensive history that we have, it happened, and it is better to learn from it than pretend like it has always been perfect (which it is far from perfect today). Also, I really hope we can an area that shows what we are “currently watching” and when I open up the movie it could have the bar that shows how much was completed. I know we have a “watchlist” but it doesn’t help having to search each time.

“I Love how Disney + has all of the Star Wars movies, TV shows. I also love how Disney + has almost every Marvel movie, and I hope they are all on there someday! I also really like that Disney+ has all of the Disney TV shows, from the 90s, and all the way too 2020!! However, and I’m sure that you know this, but I hope that Disney + get the movies, The Incredible Hulk, Spiderman Homecoming, and I’m pretty sure that Disney+ will add Spiderman Far From Home, Dog With a Blog, and anything Else do you have yet to add. Oh, and how could I forget that the first thing I thought of when I heard of Disney+ was, I really hope that there are no adds, or commercials like, the app Disney Now, and I am glad that there aren’t any. I’m also looking forward to more movies, and shows, that Disney+ will create in the future. I think you’re doing a great job with all of your Disney+ originals, and I can’t wait for more. I also like how Disney+ is only $6,99 per week! Even thorough I got it for free, for an entire year, through Verizon. I wrote a review a couple months ago and they fixed things! The app was missing a couple tv shows but we’re making progress as far as getting them on Disney plus. Slowly but surely 😊! A couple problems I have is sometimes when I reload the app it won’t keep my place in the episode and I’ll have to reload a couple times to get it back to where I was. Also sometimes for no reason I can’t see the episode clearly. 😫 I really want to enjoy my sitcoms with no problems whatsoever. And there is one major problem that is getting on my nerves. Some of the shows I watch it’s incredibly obvious that the episodes are out of order. For example in Kickin’ it one of my favorite tv shows almost every episode in season two is out of order and a few of the episodes in season 3 and 4 of Kickin’ it are also out of order. I don’t know if this is a problem with just my device or if multiple people are having this problem but it is very aggravating. And it’s not just Kickin’ it I’m having this problem with a lot of other shows. For example it’s also a problem with Shake It Up, Austin and Ally, Bizaardvark, and Lab Rats. If it’s possible I really hope you can fix this about the app. Other than that totally love it!!! ❤️

this review is more geared towards the developers...I love and appreciate all of the disney content on this app but the app seems to only push specific series and not any that are tailored for my experience. It would be much better to see suggested series or movies instead of the same few disney originals that Disney wants to push so often. It makes it kind of hard to see or consider watching all of the content that is on this app unless I specifically search for a title to watch on my own. Along with this, I have had the same problem with this app since the day that I’ve downloaded it and i’m hoping this bug gets fixed soon...Every time I press the reverse/forwards 10 second button the movie will reverse/forwards to where it needs to be, but the loading animation would stay on the screen. The problem with this is that it prevents me from pausing or reversing/forwarding any other time after this one time because the loading animation would still be on the screen if I attempt to do so. The buttons do not reappear. It doesn’t obstruct the view of the streaming media and it’s only there when I tap to attempt to pause but it prevents me from taking any other action after i’ve done it once before. I hope mentioning these things has been helpful and I look forward to this bug being fixed soon.

I use Disney plus all the time to watch all of my favorite Disney shows and movies. There are a lot of problems that will HAVE to be figured out! But the one that upsets me the most, actually two or more: one; if I switch devices it will often forget where I was in an episode and restart it from the beginning forcing me to skip to where I left off. Also unlike a lot of other streaming platforms, there is no PROGRESS BAR per episode, to show how far you have watched through an episode. If you open the show it will not automatically place you in the season you are watching, you have to go and choose season and scroll to the correct one. On the mobile app there is no way to view episodes if you click on the resume watching box, unlike a lot of other platforms! My mobile device will also often not automatically play the next episode, when I was a kid I dreamed of the day it would automatically play the next episode and guess what everyone else has figured it out! I like the blue circle around the play button about 5 seconds, but it is often not there! So frustrating! I like the idea and content but the curtain should have been held as we say in show business, before release!

There is a lot of great old shows and movies and some new stuff but I would really appreciate it if you would add more new stuff like Gabby Duran And the Unsitibles, Bunk’d, and The Owl house. I think these are shows that the targeted audience of Disney plus like to watch. DisneyNOW has all these shows but sometimes there isn’t the full season of shows that are slightly older and it never works very well. I love that you have National Geographic shows on it because I cant really watch those any where else except for the National Geographic channel and a few on Netflix. I really enjoy watching the shows that you do have and I would really appreciate if you would add more Disney Channel shows. Please tell me why you do what you advertise and don’t let me watch all the Disney shows. I got Disney plus because DisneyNOW didn’t have very much content of shows that I didn’t watch very much but Disney plus doesn’t have most of the shows I do watch and now I have nowhere to watch Disney shows because it is almost impossible to get DisneyNOW to work and it is even harder to find Disney shows on the internet. I am begged you to PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add more Disney Channle content. It would be really appreciated by me and a lot of other people my age. Also please make the internet on DisneyNOW work, it is driving me CRAZY!!!!!!!

I know Mulan was probably a expensive movie to put together but I already have Premier Access so why do I have to pay for the exact same thing just to watch one movie? I know you guys still have to make money during the pandemic but I’m not gonna pay 30$ just to watch one movie and your probably gonna do this again and make everyone who had payed 30$ for Mulan pay an extra 30$ to watch another movie. I was so excited to watch Mulan because I had Premier Access and I didn’t understand that I had to pay for it twice because the wording of it was weird all I understood was “Avaliable with Premier Access” I asked my mom if we had Premier Access and she said yes. I waited until MIDNIGHT to see if I could watch it and when I saw I couldn’t I nearly broke down in tears. No joke. I searched when it would be available and it turns out I have to wait an extra 3 months before getting to watch it. December 4 is a long way off and with school starting it’s gonna take even longer. The more bored you are at school the longer the year is gonna take. Which means by the time It’s December 4 I’m probably gonna forget this movie exists and I’m gonna go on to Disney+ and be saying to myself “I’ll watch it later”.

Just kidding.. but really Disney+ may be a competitor to Netflix but since I started my free trial & now Verizon promotion subscription - my family & I have been watching Disney+ non-stop. Of course being that this is a new app there are some small bugs but nothing that isn’t going to deter a Disney fan from loving this app anyway! Some of the movies listed aren’t available until certain dates like January 1, 2020 or sometime in April but it’s not all of the movies and I think for the most part most the hit movies are available to watch. It would be nice to have an open platform with all the movies available but you know what? For only $6.99 a month you can’t beat that. Thank you Disney for being a millennial-friendly subscription - all your movies especially Pixar have grown with my generation in mind. We appreciate you! If you have a Verizon unlimited plan definitely enroll in the Disney+ promotion it is so worth it not only for those of you who have children but sometimes us adults need some Disney magic in our lives as well - pretty sure Walt Disney himself said something of that sort at one point. Don’t come for me if he didn’t but I’m pretty sure he did :)

So my family has gotten this and it is a great app! But the only thing is a minor bug. So I was bringing our iPad on a car trip, and before we went, I downloaded some episodes of my favorite Disney TV show so I could watch them offline in the car, and I stared watching them on the way to our carpool mates, and I noticed that it wasn’t as smooth as it was supposed to be... So I just thought, “Oh, this happens all the time with Netflix, so it shouldn’t be a big deal with this. So I finally figured that if I delete the app and then get it back again, it would be fixed. And we signed in again, and it worked that time... Quite an annoying situation, but it was... Kind of an “ easy” fix, but maybe you guys could fix this problem for an update. Thank you for your time! Fan

First off I love all the amazing movies from the past and The Mandalorian Is soooo good! But recently the customer service has been sub par. On all my devices, as of two days ago after the few months it has been working fine is no longer working when on my home Wifi. Restarted router, uninstall reinstall all apps and support says it’s a WiFi issue. To test that theory I wold start a vid on data then quickly switch to WiFi and it works fine... I would even Fast forward/rewind pause and play to make sure it wasn’t just saved buffer and it all worked just fine. When I would exit out and try to resume the vid it then gave me an error message saying not able to connect... all customer service continues to do is say it is something on my and even after stating the facts then has yet to respond or give any details even requested a call back they said some one would respond in 10 days... My computer can stream just fine when on WiFi when I stream through there website so this is another indicator this is an app issue but no one wants to look into it or address this it seams. If they would make more of an effort I would not write this review. 100 some bucks isn’t a big deal for a year but it’s the principle of lack of accountability and assistance. A few other friends scattered around my town and local towns have had the same issue...

Here is the thing, I love Disney, my family loves Disney. Everyone young and old loves Disney. I think it’s an amazing app, with some even better features, and yes it has a bunch of glitches (which I’m not stressing about because in time those would be fixed), there are some things missing, (again could be fixed in the future, maybe something’s just need to be developed better, whatever the case may be). Those things don’t bother me. This is what I don’t like...,, ...The majority of the people who’ll be using this app are people who aren’t tech savvy or children. They aren’t always using the most up to date device or software, some children that are using Disney plus (which o can attest to) are children using gen 3 iPads. Or iPhone 4s. Things that are Easy in the hands of children. But unfortunately the app doesn’t support those devices, as they are too old for use. It would be fantastic if it was, I think they would have a lot more viewership but at this rate it’s very hard to use such a wonderful app on such an old device. I mean Netflix does work on things that old. Disney please consider this. Not everyone can or will upgrade a child’s device just so they can watch Disney movies.

Overall I love Disney plus. There are so many shows/movies to select from that it’s hard for a Disney lover to decide where to start. Since today was launch day I know there will be some kinks that need to be worked out. I just wanted to list some issues or recommendations that could/should possibly be addressed in a future update. I saw one review mention that stuff they were adding to their watchlist wasn’t saving. I ran into that same issue. Another issue I ran into was my auto play wasn’t working. I have that setting turned on but when watching a series it does not automatically play the next episode. I also noticed that an episode was missing from season 1 of the little mermaid series. My recommendations for possible updates are: (1) add a “continue watching” section that shows what I was last watching and didn’t finish. (2)when watching a series have the episodes that users have watched marked in some way that shows they’ve been watched. Currently having to remember what episode I left off on. (3) maybe add a DCOM section so all those are in one place. Overall, I love Disney+ and I’m so excited to keep streaming all my Disney favorites

The app is perfect, but these crazy reviewers are the boneheads ..look people right now there is no feature of “what I watched last “ or history the app would slow down you want that go back to netflix and stay there. Just because you can add 7 people to your account is does not always mean you should. You really trust those 7 people with your account info? Remember only 4 streams allowed and You have should known that you have to have control over these devices. If your password gets changed it will be your fault deal with it. Then you free phone deal will not matter at all. The movies could and will edited if Disney sees fit you should have know this. 4.3 ? No no no 5.5 and nothing else . The app engine is pure and clean cues up easy , logo guides are clear to understand and easy find. Pick Your items then play them from the largest Disney library of gems no worries 🎥🎧🎬 Before anymore stupid comments or ideas come to past here read FQA page please! To anyone else read the fine print know what you paying for people. This pure Disney can not get any better than that nuff said . 🇬🇧🎸🔥

Hi please listen. Do do you ever wanna watch Disney movies or tv stows but you don’t know what do you want to watch or do you ever want options between Star Wars or Marvel? If you have that problem then I have a solution for you get Disney+! I have Disney+ and I love it! One reason why I love it is because I can have it on my tv iPod, iPad, or phone. Also if my sister is watching tv and I want to watch Disney+ then I can go on my iPad and watch. It’s awesome!! Another reason why I love Disney+ is because I can choose from so many different Disney movies or tv shows. Also I can watch all shows like Hannah Montana. Here’s one more reason why Disney+ is awesome. The quality is excellent! It’s super cheap and it’s so great. What I mean is there’s so many movies and TV shows I can watch and it’s not a lot of money. I can watch a new Marvel movie without going to the store and paying for that movie to buy it. I Disney+ I can just watch it and there’s more options! I can just watch the movie the fort so I remember and then watch that new movie so I can remember what happened before! Thanks for reading this and I hope you love Disney+ like me.

I absolutely love Disney+ it has brought me back to my childhood and that’s a wonderful thing to give to the world right now. All the Disney channel originals i could never find anywhere else is all right here and it makes my heart so full of happiness and nostalgia. But there’s a few issues as others have said. First, why does it have the second movie and not the first one for some titles not all but I have been noticing it with a few movies. Like with National Treasure for example, the first one’s not coming out till April 2020 what was the thought process there?! Second, when you go to rewind a movie with the touch screen in your phone it’s not accurate at all. I’ll go to a certain time take my finger off gently i might add and then it either jumps way ahead or behind of what I actually chose. Third, like others said the continued watching section is terrible why do i have to go back and search for where i was on some movies I’ve never seen, that’s just asking for spoilers just like the rewinding situation. I think with some adjustments you have yourself a truly fantastic app and a gift to the world. Thank you. 🤍

It’s cool that it has older tv shows that I grew up watching, no doubt I love that!, however it doesn’t resume my tv shows, I often times have to look for the exact one I left off at. It’s really annoying. (Especially when you have a crying child!) It also needs the “you just watched this” feature right up front so I don’t have to go searching for it. When I get on to Disney plus it’s always the same movies.. and I’m not interested in those. I want to see only what I’m interested in. That’s the reason why I bought it. Another feature it needs is. “Because you watched this, we suggest you watch that” I’m getting bored of the same things, nothing new is on there. Well not that I know of.... another suggestion that you also separate the “coming soon” movies from the other ones. People can get excited about the up coming year, instead of being supper bummed when they see they have to wait till the month of November in the year 2020 to see the movie or tv shows. I was really upset when I realized I couldn’t watch what I wanted till next Christmas. I’m not to excited about this any more. It’s not a good set up. I feel i was conned out of my money. I bought the year subscription and I wish I hadn’t.

As a streaming service Disney plus is very good but as an app it is bad. This is not a review of the service but a review of the app. One of my points for Disney plus being a bad app is that it crashes randomly and will not open for a bit after it crashes. Recently my power went out and since I had a lot of stuff downloaded on Disney plus I thought I would watch that until my power got back on. But when I opened the app it went to a dark blue screen and then crashed I tried again but the same happened. Then I tried to restart my iPad and try again. When I opened up Disney plus after I restarted my iPad the same thing happened. So instead of using Disney plus I had to use Netflix. When my power got back on I had to delete Disney plus and redownload almost 100GB of shows and movies. The reason I’m writing this is because just now a few days after I I redownloaded Disney plus and all my shows and movies the same thing is happening I thought it would be solved with the new update but no. I have not found any way to stop this and I am very mad. Disney plus needs to put more work into there app and it’s quality control. If anyone from Disney plus is reading this please help me and thank you to every one who has read this.

So our family of Disney-lovers find Disney+ to be everything we wanted it to be! Can’t wait for more of the original content to be released, also! I just have a minor suggestion for a future update that would make things a lot easier for us (and I’m sure others). Our son LOVES to watch the Mickey & Friends shorts. So much so, that we re-watch them constantly. However, after an episode is over and it’s continued to auto-play, if we go back to a previously played episode, it stars playing at the credits. There is no “play from the beginning button”. That leaves me scrambling to manually hold down the rewind button. Now it’s not so bad to have to rewind something, but the real problem is once that episode that I rewound is over, it will auto play the next episode and (because it was previously viewed) starts playing that from the credits again! It’s extremely frustrating considering the episodes are only 3-4 minutes long. On the Disney Now app, if the episodes were played to completion, any rewatches go back to the beginning. PLEASE MAKE THIS A FUTURE UPDATE! I fear my sanity and productivity are in jeopardy until this is fixed.
Great Service, Missing One Key Feature

My wife and kids and I love the service so far! There’s tons of stuff for everyone to watch and we’re enjoying showing them the classic movies we watched as kids. The app works quite much better now that they’ve squashed some bugs and added the all important continue watching feature. The app is still not perfect however. After using the app more, I’ve noticed some peculiarities that don’t make much sense. The first is that when someone watches something on their profile, it will often show up on the continue watching list on my profile even though I’ve never watched that show on my profile. This happens quite often with my son’s episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The other weird thing I’ve run into is that Moana can not be found on a child’s profile. This means my 5 year old who loves Moana must have an adult account that is more difficult for her to navigate in order to watch her favorite movie on the service. Overall, we’re very happy both with the service and the app. Once a few minor tweaks are made, I think Disney+ will be able to play ball with the big dogs.
Charged twice

I have been charged twice for the same account since December of 2019. One payment is being withdrawn from Apple and the other from Google Play which never has my information on the first place(with different billing dates), I repeat, FOR THE SAME DISNEY+ ACCOUNT. I called Disney+ to get an answer and they kept telling me that it wasn’t their problem and that SOMEHOW Google got my information (email and credit card number) and that even though they were accepting two different payments methods FOR THE SAME EXACT ACCOUNT, they couldn’t do anything. That I had to call Google Play and tell them that I was being charged from Apple too and ask them for my money back. I called Google and they told me that my report for a refund didn’t meet their policy and that for them, this one was the only payment method for the Disney+ and that I needed to call Disney+ (which I already did but they kept tossing the ball to Google or Apple). Then I called Apple and guess what... THEY SAID THE SAME THING, that they are not connected to Google Play and they cannot give me a refund. I don’t know what else to do, I realized that this happened to so many people and they still don’t have an answer. Disney+ is authorizing payments from two different sites for the same service/account and not doing anything to solve the problem.

OLD REVIEW: So, I gave this four stars because I do love the app and would love to give it five stars if only this one problem would be fixed. I was initially annoyed about the no “continue watching” feature but with the update that fixed my problem. Or so I thought... when I first got the continue watching update it worked on all of my devices. Unfortunately, now- no matter what device I am on- it restarts the episode that I was on. The continue watching will show me my show and say 7 mins remaining, or something like that, but when I click on it it will load to the beginning of that episode. This is not the worst because I will fast forward to where I was, but I do feel it is an inconvenience and would love for it get fixed. Again I would like to emphasize my love for this app and getting to rewatch all of my favorite Disney shows and movies. Please fix this little bug so I can change my review to five stars. NEW REVIEW: I love the app and have changed my review to five stars because the bug mentioned above was fixed. Thank you Disney+ this app is amazing.

I love this app and have had it for a little while now. All my favorite Disney channel original movies in one place, talk about a childhood dream come true! The only issue I have had that doesn’t seem to have been addressed in the update, is that my watchlist isn’t working right. Currently, it’s missing some shows and movies that I can look up and see that I’ve added to my watchlist already, though it’s not showing up when I open the watchlist. The watchlist is also duplicating the items that do show up on the list. I’m not sure if this is connected to the other problem I noted above or if it is a completely different issue. Obviously, I still love the app and have even recommended it to a few people. I just wanted to mention this issue that I am having as the other reviews I have read didn’t seem to mention this. I hope this is an easy fix, as I do think this app is great. Disney as a company is amazing! I am so grateful that I can watch all the movies and shows I love that are more recent, while also having the option to revisit some old favorites that I grew up watching (and loving).

Update: So somehow as you watch content it is saved into documents and data. I have no content downloaded within the app but somehow over 6GB of documents and data?? Also it shows multiple episodes downloaded in the storage setting view of the iPhone that aren’t downloaded within the Disney plus app itself. After deleting those episodes that aren’t downloaded but somehow are, there was still over 590MB of documents and data. I deleted and reinstalled the app and it had mere kb of data. As I start watching content again, the documents and data keeps increasing, what gives? I have tons of other streaming apps that don’t do this, it’s a major hassle, please fix! Original review:Lots of things already available. The menus and selection content loads quickly and the playback quality is very good. Also tried it on the Roku and it also looks way better than every other streaming app I have. Things load and begin to play quickly. They have a search function but they also have multiple ways of categorizing so you can get to what you want pretty quickly as well. So far it’s working and looking great, have to see how it does when millions of people are using it at the same time.

We (obviously) enjoy a bunch of the Disney content, and even some of the “original” content (like The Mandalorian) is very well done. However, the app itself leaves a lot to be desired. My two main complaints are: 1. The app always begins playing a show immediately with no buffering, but then, at exactly 20 seconds in, buffers for 5-10 seconds. This is extremely annoying, especially when you’re watching a Pixar short that is only two minutes long. Also, since the update, the app has begun buffering randomly in the middle of programs, sometimes 2-3 times in a row. For reference, we also have Netflix and Britbox, and neither one EVER stops the show at any point to buffer. 2. The lack of a working “continue watching” bar. I know that this bar showed up in the update, but it doesn’t work on either of our devices. The bar is there; it shows the programs we’ve been watching, and how far we’ve progressed into them. But when I tap on one of the programs in the bar, it nearly always restarts the program from the beginning. About once in ten times, it will restart from where we stopped watching, but those aren’t good odds.

Alright, so this is going to be short and sweet. Disney plus is amazing, I use it all the time to watch my favorite movies, and recently I’ve been binge watching the marvel movies. It works out pretty well for me. New episodes come out within a few days (which is pretty awesome), you get to watch anything owned by Disney, and it’s just awesome. (Especially The Mandalorian) But there is one thing that could make it better, and I’ve seen other people make this suggestion too. Disney plus should definitely have a “currently watching” section. It’s the one thing left that I need. Otherwise I have to look up the movie that I’m watching, find the right one, and hope it starts off where I ended. And it does, but I think it’d take a little less time and effort if you put a currently watching section right on the top bar of your home screen. That way I can click the app, scroll down a tiny, tiny little bit, and click the movie or show that I’m watching. So yeah, my suggestion (which you should totally add) would be a currently watching section. Otherwise, Disney plus is basically perfect for me.

The service is off the a great start and I have no doubt that Disney will continue to add more movies, shows, and shorts as it continues. However, while there is a lot of stuff in the service at launch, much of it feels like filler material and some of the things not included can felt. Such as not a single Indiana Jones movie, or the fact that Disney now owns all of Fox’s catalog but only include the Simpsons and avatar. No alien or fox X-men movie? I know these will probably be added later on but I feel like a streaming service that wants to truly compete with other platforms like Netflix should have many of these films already included to form an unbeatable backbone and then continue to support the platform with original content and other new releases after their run in movie theaters. Otherwise you get what we have now, which is a service that has a couple of main classics here and there, and a few originals, but is mostly made up of Disney channel original content and lots of live action D-list filler movies that only someone who grew up with would enjoy watching for nostalgic reasons.
TV shows out of order

For what I use the app for it works fantastic. I have noticed updates being rolled out and see the changes happen which is fantastic. The biggest con I have is the older tv shows are out of order. Watched the new Ducktales and Talespin and the first 2-3 episodes for each are hidden randomly throughout the run. I know it’s a cartoon but it is nostalgic and watching it as an adult and wanting to know why certain things happened would be nice to know at the beginning. Other complaints would be stretching the old Simpsons 4:3 into 16:9. The old Disney cartoons are 4:3 so why not the old Simpsons? The app works well with chromecast. Every now and then the programming will stop playing whether it’s 2 episodes in or 8. It’ll randomly stop. They need to add skip intros to all tv shows like The Mandalorian has. I look forward to the future of this streaming service and can’t wait for the whole MCU to be available. Also, please add more classic Mickey Mouse programming as big blocks. Not individual 6 minutes episodes. I have to search for and stream one at a time. Fix these issues I have pointed out and this will be in my eyes a five star app.
BLUE SPIRAL OF SLOW and bugs...please fix

Have a 150+ Mbps internet connection and think Disney + should work fine when you pay for it? Yeah, me too. However, the app is buffering nearly all the time and sometimes stops in the middle of shows to show the “BLUE SPIRAL OF SLOW” as the app attempts to catch up. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, closing and restarting the app and device more times than we care to keep track of, checking for updates and...oh yes, I would think a minimum 150 Mbps download should be adequate for an app that requires 5 and 25 Mbps for HD and 4K playback, respectively, but who knows? Also, as an added insult, try using the forward or backward playback arrow just once in the app to skip ahead or back a few seconds and you will incur the wrath of the blue spiral for the rest of the episode that you happen to be watching. I might expect such problems from lesser apps, but naively thought Disney would have fixed them early on...and yet here we are. I have asked before (to no avail) and shall ask again...please fix the problems! You get 2 stars because the content is and would be nice to watch, but the bugs in your app for both iPhone and iPad make it difficult to enjoy.

I’m obsessed!! I love Disney+ because it has everything! Like i remember on Netflix i would be watching girl meets world and then before i even finished watching the series they took it off the app and i was just like REALLY YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME 😡 so then i downloaded DisneyNOW and i would watch an episode of something but then have to wait like 2 weeks to see the next one and it wouldn’t even go in order! I was like JUST PUT SOME STUFF ON THERE PEOPLE COME ON!! So i just deleted both and then Disney+ come out and i was like HALLELUJAH!! One thing i will say is there is a lot of glitching like when I’m watching the show will stop and pause randomly and then you have to push the button twice. Also when i turn my tablet around it will turn the screen but instead of like turning sideways it goes into the corner, i don’t think that made any since like AT ALL lol 😆. (Im tryin here lol 😝). Disney plus is an app you have to buy, for an app you have to buy it has some low points. To start with is the thing that I hate the most. You can’t use the Disney+ app when it needs an update. Disney+ takes up sooooo much storage already and when it needs an update you have to wait until you have enough storage on your device! I also had to keep the Disney Now app just so I could watch new episodes of currently airing shows which is REALLY annoying and takes up more of my storage. I also hate the fact that a few shows, like Andi Mack, don’t have the entire season! It’s like starting a movie and skipping an entire hour of it! It is also quite annoying that there are the 1st and/or 2nd movie in a three movie series on Disney+. I watched the first mighty ducks but the second and third one are not on Disney+. I do however like the fact that they have all the original Disney movies that you have to buy on your regular TV. This is a good app for someone who is into only the older Disney movies and shows. However, it can be quite annoying for someone like me who likes old and new Disney shows and movies.

It’s pretty clear they are hoping to coast on the popularity of the brand, and it will probably work. My kid likes Disney enough that I’m willing to jump through the hoops. Still, there is a ton of stuff that is not available because of prior licensing agreements, which is extremely frustrating when the only thing the service has going for it is the promise of a comprehensive repository. They definitely should have waited until they had reclaimed all their content, or offered an extra service where they handle explaining the intersection of greed and intellectual property to my crying toddler who just wants to watch Tinkerbell. As an app, it does a fine job of providing the underwhelming experience it’s tasked with, so I didn’t knock off all the stars. The service itself has been very slow to catch up to the basic experience other streaming options offer. Overall the whole service and app feel like they were rushed out in beta and are only now beginning to resemble a finished product, which is disappointing from a company that has all the resources it needs to do things right.

Getting two stars because of this app missing the simplest streaming features out there across all devices. Not being able to easily resume a movie/show gets beyond irritating. Especially when they release a resume feature couple weeks after launch only to find out it’s broken, you have to manually search through the app each time to find what you were watching; find it, hit resume and it simply restarts. Thought it was my device messing up, but same happens on mobile, pc, fire stick and playstation. Don’t understand how such a big company that claims to be the new kings of streaming can’t even manage to have the simplest features work. Playbacks constantly skip where the video freezes and the audio continues. This can last 5-10 seconds, goes in a loading loop and then rewinds back to the spot before it hit the video freeze. This has also been happening since launch and happens quite often. Overall it’s a pretty crappy app that was rushed and never optimized for common use. Great selection but unless you want to deal with a headache trying to watch what you want, i’d wait till Disney decides to fix this app as it feels like a Beta testing.

I have an account and like I didn’t want to be selfish so I let my friends come on it since you can add up to 7 people. The thing is, what if one day I decided I don’t want them on it anymore but they refuse to leave. I can’t do anything abt it except cancel the subscription but then everyone else would be effected by just one person . The owner should be able to have more control. Like the owner can do stuff with other profiles and manage stuff more and ppl who aren’t the owner of it shouldn’t be able to like change or go on other ppls profile unless allowed or something. Like you can go on the owners profile even if your not the owner. The last thing is, I trust my friends so I gave them the password to it so they can login but what if for some reason(I doubt the ppl that are on my account would do this bc they are my closest friends) but one day they could just decided to change the password because even if your not the owner of the account, you can still change the password which isn’t right. But that’s all I have to say

Okay to start off I’ve never wanted to make a review of anything but this is something I wanna talk about! When they brought this up I was like it’s not like they’ll have Snow White or Crash and Bernstein! But when got the app this morning...🤯! SOMUCH CONTENT! Basically my whole childhood, my siblings childhood, my parents childhood, my Grandparents childhood, and Even my great grandparents childhood! I mean Starting off with Disney! So many TV Shows I can’t find anywhere! So many movies! So many series! And way to many things to even count! Marvel has the OG X-Men y’all! I mean I’m not even kidding! We have some Star Wars! With CLONE WARS!!!!!! And they got some FOX OG’S! Including AVATAR,HOME ALONE, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, THE SIMPSONS, THE SOUND OF MUSIC AND MORE!!!! Take my advice and get it plz y’all! If you don’t like these and like documentaries😒... they got those too with... National Geographic? I’m being honest I don’t really like Nat Geo but HEY THEY STILL GOT IT! But being honest there is some technical difficulties Disney is having so if it says “No Connection” just exit and re-enter it’s no big deal! So take my advise and get this!
Love but frustrating

I love Disney plus, has great movies but I’ve been using it more recently and getting more frustrated with playback issues. I watch on my PS4 but also on my iPhone as well. There are several things that are continuing to happen that make it harder and harder to enjoy movies... 1. When I try to rewind it, the picture freezes, but the sound keeps going until it catches up with the visual, which is frustrating cause I continuously have to rewind. 2. Sometimes while viewing, the picture will freeze and sound goes ahead but then the video rushes through the scenes to catch back up with the sound. 3. Other times while viewing, the picture freezes, the sound goes on, and then the sound rewinds further back until it matches the picture. Very frustrating when I’m trying to enjoy a movie. 4. I also very often get logged out out of my account which makes me log back in every other day if not every day. 5. When finishing my movie and trying to go back to home it freezes and everything is just a grey screen. So I constantly have to shut down the app and open it back up.
App needs work

Your content is there. The app needs work. Profiles need personalization or more than just having a watchlist. For example, there’s no “continue watching” section so hope you know where to find whatever it is you were watching. Also, you can something to your watchlist. Finish it, but without knowing how to manipulate the bugs, remove it from your watchlist. Strolling through all the features, you can click on a show, and even if it’s in your watchlist, it won’t show that it’s in your watchlist, leaving you to believe programs you add to your watchlist aren’t actually there. In regards to manipulating the system to take something off of your watchlist, you have to click add to watchlist to ADD it again, then click it again to remove it. That seems to be the only way to remove a show from your watchlist. And this is a problem on ALL my devices not just mobile devices. This includes the Apple TV, and the firestick app. Disney, y’all are great but with so much content on this service, a person needs a better way to keep track of what’s in their watchlist and what they’ve been watching. Please correct this.
Great content, series pages need work

The amount and quality of the content here is great. However the way older TV series are being handled is inconsistent and pretty rough. Some pre-HD shows are presented in their original 4:3 aspect ratio and look fine, but others for some reason are zoomed in, stretching the image and cropping the top and bottom of the screen which looks terrible, and there is no option to switch. Additionally, nearly all the shows I browsed had every episode listed under one season, which means you can’t look for episodes by season and have to scroll right through dozens of episodes to find what you want. Some episodes are mistitled or misnumbered, meaning they auto play out of the intended viewing order. And if you plan on watching a whole series, it doesn’t appear to save your spot so you have to again scroll through the 50-80 episodes of “season 1” to find where you left off. Hopefully these issues will be addressed soon because the rest of the platform seems great and I am very excited for how much content is available to stream for the first time ever thanks to this platform.
Great selection, but lots of tech issues

I only gave 4 stars because the selection is awesome — there’s something for everyone and every mood. However, I stream Disney plus on my iphone hooked up to my TV and that has presented problems. For one, ANY notification (including phone calls) will cause the picture to pause but the audio still continues. Seldom times the show will catch up and continue, but a majority of the time, I have to restart the app. From there, the issues continue. The show seldom saves where I left off; it restarts and I have to fast forward to where I left off (or the best of my memory). Sometimes it’ll say “oops, can’t play this selection right now,” which is even more annoying because I have to unplug my phone from the adapter then reconnect it. Also, if watching a series, I don’t like it doesn’t automatically start the next episode. Otherwise, as previously mentioned, I love reliving my childhood shows and sharing them with my children. This is priceless. If the tech issues could be resolved, I’d give 5 stars.

I hate to sound like I’m parroting other reviews, but... I honestly can’t think of another word to describe Disney+ aside from fantastic. From some of the earliest classics that put the name “Walt Disney” on the map, to the legendary pictures that make up the face of the studio and the stream of new films, shows, and other projects, there’s something on here for almost everyone. I understand that at the time of this review, the service is just over a week old, but if there is at least one thing I would like to add to Disney+, it would be the addition of a section dedicated to some of the content that Disney has rights to (and might add to the service) that are geared towards more mature audiences, such as “The X-Files,” “Deadpool,” and other such properties or materials that might not be suitable for younger audiences (in case such a proposition isn’t already in effect). Aside from that suggestion, this is definitely a streaming platform for fans of Disney and beyond.

I love this app. Is such a great way to go down memory lane and easier to find Disney films but I have two little problems. I use this app in all of my devices, my laptop, my consoles, my phone, including my smart tv. In all of those providers I can change the subtitles except for the smart tv. I found a way but it wold be a lot easier if I can do it directly in the tv. My way is going to my phone putting the options I want and turn the tv off and put the show in the tv. But sometimes it gets annoying. So please fix that. Another issue is there’s some shows that don’t have their full episodes, and I know is a new a provider but I would love to have all the episodes of violetta. A few days ago I finished the first season and when I was about to start the next one I find that the rest of the seasons aren’t there so please it would be great if it can happen. But beside that Disney plus has been a great app. Keep on the good work.

I absolutely love having all the movies in one place. The movies from the vault are such a blessing and it’s like I’m reliving my childhood again but the app itself could use a bit of improvement. I love how they offer a variety of section to search in and maybe find a diamond in the rough to watch but then when you do and suddenly get distracted, you lose your movie and oops! You forgot what it was called!! So I definitely definitely think it needs a “continue watching” section. Also I heard about some of the older classics being ban being of the culture it depicts... I think this is not smart at all and hope it does NOT happen. Yes those movies depict a culture of a time that is no longer relevant, but it’s still history. What’s the good in censoring history when it’s a fact that it happened? Those movies are just what they are, classic. Definitely, most definitely, should not be put back away. Over all love the app but maybe they could make some improvements!

One BIG Problem

I love Disney+, but there is one major problem: downloads. The first part of the problem is that when I download something, it deletes itself 5 minutes later 50% of the time. It literally gave me a note when I first downloaded something that it would do this, so you cant say that it’s just me. The second part is that when it deletes these downloads, or even when I voluntarily delete them, they still take up space on my device somehow. In order to fix this, I have to delete the entire app, reinstall it, and sign back in. Virtual queues sound great but are actually awful. Four of us continually reloading the queue page right on time failed to get a reservation twice in one day. It would be better to let the people who really want to ride stand in line than making us punch useless buttons like monkeys only to be told that the incredibly high price we paid to enter this park was insufficient to secure even the right to stand in line for an hour or two for a ride. The help also needs work. Many obvious questions are not answered, such as how to link my ios app to my bracelet when my wife bought the tickets. I had to send a help email for which I still have not received a response. Not up to Disney standards.

I’m pleasantly surprised at how well Disney + is doing. It’s awesome. Everything I look for in a streaming service. However there’s no start over feature when watching a previously started movie. I’d rather just watch from the beginning instead of picking up where I left off. Also 2 feature films are missing from the Disney library, Make Mine Music and Ralph Breaks the Internet. I thought you were supposed to have all the feature films there. Cmon Disney, let’s get it done please. Other than those qualms, I love it.

Overall it’s a pretty good app. It has a lot of stuff that I’m interested in like Star Wars, Marvel, National Geographic, and some Fox content. Over all, my opinion is you have to watch out for what your children are watching on this channel. Yes, now with Disney adding some very adult content to their family entertainment. One is the Black Is King. That is not something I would want my two and seven year old girls to emanate or to witness. Plus with Disney political statements like selling LOL dolls they will surely in up like Netflix, some of the sports and companies that push their political agendas. If I could rate as a negative, I would. I am disappointed and irritated with Disney+. I resubscribed (after using up free trial) so my family could watch the new movie Mulan... only to find out you have to pay an additional $29.99 to watch the movie? I canceled my subscription immediately after I found that out but I don’t get my money back. This app is very deceitful! We don’t watch many Disney movies as it is... so it’s been a complete waste of money.

First of all, whenever I couldn't watch Disney + due to the app either stopping or buffering I switched to Prime Video or HBOMax and had NO problems. It also freezes up on some pages so I am unable to watch anything without exiting and restarting. Not for something I'm paying for Disney. Also, if I'm in the middle of a movie or series, those items should be the first line at the top of the home page under the banner and the " recommended for you," which is at the top is worthless. I'm sure Disney will fix these problems but I'm not paying while they improve the app.

Disney did something where now I can’t cast my movies from my phone onto the TV anymore! That’s how my kids watched Disney+! But now with this new update we can only watch it on my iPhone. Disney needs to unlock this and allow us to cast again!

I really do enjoy Disney+. Me and my family bought it about a month ago. I personally am a hardcore Disney fan so I love this app. I think the price is just a little to high, but I mean it’s Disney so what do you expect? The overall condition of the app is kind of weird. I want the continue watching to be like Netflix, where when you get to the credits and get off of the movie, it doesn’t show in your continue watching anymore. I’m a very organized person so that kind of bothers me. The 10 second fast forward and rewind button is very glitchy. The volume on all of these shows and movies are really low. Thanks for reading my review and absolutely NO hate to Disney!!

I thought it was my wifi but it played fine on my phone and i tried casting another movie and it worked. why is aristocats not playing???

Disney plus is a fantastic app! They have great movies and tv shows (especially now with Once Upon a Time, my absolute favorite and Hamilton) however it is a bit slow to load sometimes. The customer service for this app too is also quite incredible and helped me so much in the past when I was struggling with something! And for the review asking for Harry Potter movies and other stuff, this is a DISNEY app, Harry Potter is not Disney it’s Universal. If you wanna watch it so badly then download HBO max or buy it on Amazon.

No Parental Controls

You would think Disney being that it focuses on children would provide parental controls but the app does not! They offer you “kids profile” but the child can just change profiles in two seconds and go to main profile which can not be put in kids profile. Also the app does not follow the content restrictions on the device, so even if you have the device set for G only it will play PG13. Disney please have you app follow the content restrictions on the device and add true content restrictions in the app not just kids profile. Finally add a password to change from a kids profile to adult / main profile. If HBOMax can do it so can Disney!

If you have young kids it’s great. Don’t think twice -get it. My review is for people with older kids and fans of Marvel and Star Wars. My teen girls do not watch it at all. As a Marvel fan and Star Wars fan that has seen all the movies it’s ok to watch here and there but completely lacks new stuff. One series that had little action the Mandolorian. Not better than any of the movies. Content just lacks. I guess Netflix spoils us. Disney has almost no weekly new releases for all ages like Netflix. and when they add new movies they want you to upgrade to a more expensive plan when you’re already bored of the current plan. Because there’s no new content? I can not justify continuing after Verizon’s free year. I rarely use the service. Rare to see anything new for adults that doesn’t require a costly upgrade. Did I mention I’m bored of the same content?

Every time I watched a show on Disney+ every 10 minutes it would just start loading and say something was wrong every time and say something was wrong with the InternetI could never get through a whole show without it loading it is so annoying and for Premier access you have to pay another $40 for an app you’re already paying for don’t waste your money

The last required update has messed with my whole phone. Some movies are completely out of sync...sound/picture. And the help center only offers what questions THEY WANT TO ANSWER ! No help at all. Seriously Disney. A company with your resources should Do better

My entire family has been enjoying the variety of great content. The service has also been steady and reliable for us, with only one or two glitches over a few months now. However, the app/ Apple TV interface could use some improvement... My kids are young enough that I don't really want them to have complete access. Its great that they can have their own profiles with limits, but if it exists I've yet to find a way to prevent them from just using my profile. (We mostly steam via Apple TV in case it differs) Further, there is little to no useful history. Yes the continue watching was tweaked, but it is still far from enough. How hard world it be to provide a simple list with thumbnails of everything a profile has watched and when, preferably sortable but at least in reverse chronological order? (As a software developer that's rhetorical. Its easy!) That would let me monitor kids use of my profile (until it's protected as it should be) as well as see what they're watching in their own profiles. It also should not be hard to add a watched count and last watched on date to any show I go to the details of, and a progress bar for anything partially watched. This is basic stuff that should already be in your database. Let me see it too please!

I really like Disney+ I’m really a huge Disney fan Fr lol. But I was paying for it every month and I realized I rarely use it because I can’t download Disney+ to my tv && it won’t even connect to my tv by me using the app on my phone. So I barely even watch it & i can’t download Disney+ on my windows 10 , when I search it when the Store it doesn’t even pop up smh. Anyway I really feel like you guys need to just update the app to where it’ll connect to the tv via Bluetooth and wifi

Disney plus is awesome and has a lot of throwbacks and even some of the newer shows and movies es, however they didn’t fool me when they took the movie Never been kissed (Great movie) and then put it back on there, also they won’t let me watch soy Luna, they just added season’s 2 and 3 ,but everytime I try to get to season 2 they kick me out of the app, and for those of you that are enthusiastic enough to pay $30 for Mulan congrats, your true Disney fans

Just frustrating and disappointing with Disney + what a waste of money and time for my whole year membership. We can’t even watch the movies when we want to.

This app is truly amazing! i don’t have cable at my house so i can watch all my childhood shows whenever i want to.... one thing, there is this one show that i would love to have on here. it’s called “Backstage” i loved this show however they took it off netflix so i can’t watch it anymore but it would be great if it was on here! also thank you so much for adding “Once upon a time”! Again this app is the best!!

Using an iPhone and casting to Chromecast works fine, but if I get disconnected or stop casting on my own and hit play, it starts over from the beginning. Pretty sure this used to work and resumed where I left off. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I love this app so much and I enjoyed watching my favorite Disney movies from touch of my iPad and the remote of my TV it is very enjoyable for all ages and I’m gonna give you my honest opinion the app is still prettying new but there are some Disney movies that will come later in the future so all of us Disney fans don’t have to worry and I also enjoyed the Disney show I personally love these shows and I’m excited to see what Disney+ has it for the future and I also wanted to say thank you to the creators because we wouldn’t have a large Disney vault of Disney movies to watch freely without them :3

Love the app and I like that we can view what we are watching and continue it where we left off. But I do wish we could delete what we are no longer watching. For example we watch a movie and end at the credits. For that to not show up in the continue watching list we have to fast forward through the credits for it to no longer show in that list. Or even if we start watching a series for a show but lost interest, we should be able to get ride of it so we aren’t consistently seeing it in the continue watching list.
It gets 1 Star for the Mandalorian.

Everything about this app is utter crap. I have it on my phone, and smart tv and I can count on 1 hand the number of times this app has actually worked the way it’s meant to. It constantly stops to buffer (I’m an online gamer and I have Netflix Hulu and amazon which all run perfectly, so I know my WiFi isn’t the problem). The app is so user-unfriendly, the menus are clunky and aggravating to navigate and you can’t even enjoy the content because you will be kicked from streaming within the first 5 minutes of watching something. At least you can watch the Mandalorian though.

To explain, my wife and I are often out in an RV trailer with an “un/smart” tv and no internet/data coverage. When using the Apple brand lightning/hdmi adapter with our Apple products, downloaded content (paid for and downloaded at home to be viewed while we are in our RV) is not watchable on the tv. Other apps work fine. While this may be an effort to protect copyright material, I see it as a direct hinderance of my ability to view my purchased content. Fixing this problem would greatly change my opinion of this app.

Disney plus is an app you have to buy, for an app you have to buy it has some low points. To start with is the thing that I hate the most. You can’t use the Disney+ app when it needs an update. Disney+ takes up sooooo much storage already and when it needs an update you have to wait until you have enough storage on your device! I also had to keep the Disney Now app just so I could watch new episodes of currently airing shows which is REALLY annoying and takes up more of my storage. I also hate the fact that a few shows, like Andi Mack, don’t have the entire season! It’s like starting a movie and skipping an entire hour of it! It is also quite annoying that there are the 1st and/or 2nd movie in a three movie series on Disney+. I watched the first mighty ducks but the second and third one are not on Disney+. I do however like the fact that they have all the original Disney movies that you have to buy on your regular TV. This is a good app for someone who is into only the older Disney movies and shows. However, it can be quite annoying for someone like me who likes old and new Disney shows and movies.

My Honest Opinion 👀 (please read)

Disney+ is a pretty good app especially for hardcore Disney fans. But there are way too many issues for an app that you have to BUY. To begin, the volume quality is the worst for me. My hearing isn’t the best so I tend to turn the volume for things all the way up. I did this on my NEW computer, and NEW iPad and the volume was very low. The iPad volume was a bit better but still not as loud as I wanted and/or anticipated. Furthermore, it keeps recommending the same few amount of shows, movies etc. I want to be able to find new things to watch easier. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a hardcore Hamilton fan and I am pleased to see it on the main page, but everything else keeps getting recommended on and on and on. Continuing from Hamilton, this is not a necessary addition but I would like to see more musicals. It already has Hamilton and Newsies, and I enjoyed them the most out of anything on the app. But like I said this is an option and I know it’s meant for Disney things, that’s just what I want. There are a couple of more issues but I’m going to leave it on this final opinion, which is the 10 second fast forward button. Most of the time when I fast forward with the 10 second button the screen is just frozen. It happens on all of my devices and it’s quite annoying. Using the scroll bar with mostly my finger is not fun. That’s really all I have to say so I hope you, the reader take these notes into consideration. Take care!

Dear Disney, I had to write a Magical Disney review I accidentally hit no when prompted on my XBox but I love you guys forever Disney Plus is like opening the vault to a whole new world of wonder from The Classics to Imaginers, Disney History about Walt! To new installments of Lion King and even originals of Family Cooking Competitions! If you love Disney and don’t feel like popping those classic Disney DVDs this adventure is for you! Let’s see I watched everything from the installments of Pirates of the Caribbean, Avatar (looking for #2 Spielberg), FROZEN II, to reliving inspiration and love together winning over adversity Remember The Titian’s, Queen of Katwe, Secretariat, not to mention all of MARVEL the Entire collection and complimentary movies like Captain America, Iron Man (all 1-3 movies I’ll go toe to toe stating Iron Man and Robert Downey Jr is the first Avenger as opposed to Captain America who I love too as “The First Avenger” movie), to Avengers End Game to Star WARS the saga! And the newest installment The Mandalorian. This app makes you want to head back to Walt Disney World and get the full load of the magic, it’s just enough touch of magic for the family during difficult times and create happiness for the family ...I just hope everyone gets back to being health, Love and air hugs to everyone! Hang in there and we hope to see Mickey and Friends real soon....MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU ALL!
Good content but the app is very buggy

The have a lot of great stuff in the app but the app itself has a lot of bugs. When the screen pops up that says new episode, I try to press it but it does nothing. While playing a video, you have to be careful where you touch or else it will exit out of the video even if you touched nowhere near the back button. The play button buffers. Not the video, but the button itself. There are times when I want to pause the video/movie and I can’t because I have to wait for the play button to buffers. Sometimes the app just crashes for almost no reason. I’ll be watching something like The Simpsons and the app will just crash. Don’t get me wrong, it is not a bad app, it just needs some major improvements. They do have a lot of stuff on there. I personally have watch led a lot of their classic movies and the Disney+ originals. I recommend The World According to Jeff Goldblum and High School Musical: The Musical - The Series (i am a big High School Musical fan). I think Disney just needs to make some much needed changes to the app and fix all of the current issues. Also, in my opinion, they should add some of the ABC shows like Once Upon a Time or Blackish or Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. They should also make certain shows like The Simpsons the original aspect ratio. With certain older shows and movies, you miss some key details showing it in a 16:9 aspect ratio rather a 4:3 aspect ratio.

I waited for a while before subscribing from Disney Plus for a few bugs to get worked out. Overall I am happy but there are a couple improvements I wish they would work on. First, when trying to rewind a movie with the 10 second rewind button, it usually only works once on my iPad. I have to scroll with my finger to go back, then I also get another push of the 10 second rewind button only to repeat the scrolling... I have not tried the forward button but imagine the same problem. If that is the worse problem I have with bugs then I feel they are headed in the right direction. It is a very minor annoyance for me. The other thing I wish was that Disney had more of their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s live films available. There are many I want to watch again and are not available yet. Hopefully, Disney will continue to add more movies every so often. Monthly would be perfect. I also wish there were more options for breaking down what movies or shows to choose from by preference. I like live filmed older family movies from 3 generations. Sometimes I would like to know more about the stars of the film and what other Disney films they were in, even if the films are not available yet. But, I imagine in time many changes and improvements will be made.

I love how they have ALL the Disney Chanel Originals which was the biggest thing I was wanting. I’ve only been exploring for a little while but it has sooo much. I am frustrated with not having a “currently watching” list though, that is a pretty necessary thing when I stop watching for a bit I don’t want to have to re-search for my show. That is the only reason it is not 5 stars. One last thing is I’ve read that some older movies may be censored due to racial or ethnic jokes/slurs or whatever. I really hope they DO NOT do this because that is not only changing beloved movies and shows it is an attempt to alter history. Whether it is approved of or not in today’s society it is a fact that people thought differently in former years and it shows in how they made everything from film to art to books. If there is concern on how it will affect today’s children then it should be seen as a conversation point not something to remove, and if it offends adults then they have the right not to watch it same as we all do for anything. If censoring must be done then make it optional so that those who want to watch the shows in their entirety can freely do so. Having a commentary or intro series for each explaining the societal and cultural environment of the time would be welcome

Addendum: They added a continue watching and a recommended for you. Increased to 4 stars, now just waiting for new content to see how it goes. I got this app for the bew star wars stuff coming out which is awesome. And it has things from the vault, old cartoons. It has sub sections: star wars/disney/marvel etc. that being said. Theirs things to work on. Theirs no continue watching, you need to either add it to your current watch to the watchlist or search every time. And it wont always remember where you left off especially for shows itll just replay ep 1 however i havent had this issue with movies, it remembers my place most times. It freezes often requiring you to close and reopen the app(ps4) havent had freeze issues on tablet. Itll also freeze and then go back a minute replaying things as it tries to correct itself. The current library is very limited to older disney movies. As i believe other streaming oroviders have current contracts for certain movies they prolly wont be able to add them to disney+ till other hulu/netflix movies are done with their contracts example is a limited marvel movie selection. They have plans to add more shows/movies so i think itll be like netflix where they add and remove shows and movies. When its less buggy I’ll prolly give it 4-5 stars at that time.
Decent app, security not so great

My issues with Disney+ was that my account got hacked, the password was changed and I changed it again after realizing it was hacked. However, THE EMAIL WAS CHANGED TOO! WITHOUT ME EVEN KNOWING! How that was possible, I don't know. After calling customer service and being on the phone the first time, we changed the email and password, only to find out by the first not helpful representative, that they don't give the option to sign everyone out even though you are the administrator of the account, so changing everything was pointless. He basically states that the people who hacked the account will still have access even though I changed all of the login information. I was ready to quit the whole Disney+ until I called customer service again the following day and spoke to Shay, her kindness and helpfulness convinced me to stay with Disney+. She revoked the account immediately and then helped me make a new account. One thing that should be added is better security. For someone to take over my account so easily and change the email and password was a horrible experience. Another thing that should be added is being able to log everyone out as an administrator of the account. The app is decent because of the shows it offers, I do not encounter any buffering and so on; however, the security and privacy isn't that great. .

I LOVE this app and have really enjoyed introducing my kiddos to all of the classics! I feel like I am a kid again and am in 7th heaven when I come home and ALL of the Disney movies are just waiting for me! My kids love it and everyone has a new favorite show. All of our other streaming services have officially been forgotten so thank you Disney for saving my hard earned money and for putting all of the most amazing movies in one place!! Please do not remove older shows due to older views and fear of offending people. I love all Disney movies and appreciate them for what they were and acknowledge that views have drastically changed over the decades. Some items may be offensive, even to me as a African American woman but as so many other have pointed out these are better used as talking points for our children. We cannot alway run from the offensive history that we have, it happened, and it is better to learn from it than pretend like it has always been perfect (which it is far from perfect today). Also, I really hope we can an area that shows what we are “currently watching” and when I open up the movie it could have the bar that shows how much was completed. I know we have a “watchlist” but it doesn’t help having to search each time.

Amazing! But a few things

I wrote a review a couple months ago and they fixed things! The app was missing a couple tv shows but we’re making progress as far as getting them on Disney plus. Slowly but surely 😊! A couple problems I have is sometimes when I reload the app it won’t keep my place in the episode and I’ll have to reload a couple times to get it back to where I was. Also sometimes for no reason I can’t see the episode clearly. 😫 I really want to enjoy my sitcoms with no problems whatsoever. And there is one major problem that is getting on my nerves. Some of the shows I watch it’s incredibly obvious that the episodes are out of order. For example in Kickin’ it one of my favorite tv shows almost every episode in season two is out of order and a few of the episodes in season 3 and 4 of Kickin’ it are also out of order. I don’t know if this is a problem with just my device or if multiple people are having this problem but it is very aggravating. And it’s not just Kickin’ it I’m having this problem with a lot of other shows. For example it’s also a problem with Shake It Up, Austin and Ally, Bizaardvark, and Lab Rats. If it’s possible I really hope you can fix this about the app. Other than that totally love it!!! ❤️

this review is more geared towards the developers...I love and appreciate all of the disney content on this app but the app seems to only push specific series and not any that are tailored for my experience. It would be much better to see suggested series or movies instead of the same few disney originals that Disney wants to push so often. It makes it kind of hard to see or consider watching all of the content that is on this app unless I specifically search for a title to watch on my own. Along with this, I have had the same problem with this app since the day that I’ve downloaded it and i’m hoping this bug gets fixed soon...Every time I press the reverse/forwards 10 second button the movie will reverse/forwards to where it needs to be, but the loading animation would stay on the screen. The problem with this is that it prevents me from pausing or reversing/forwarding any other time after this one time because the loading animation would still be on the screen if I attempt to do so. The buttons do not reappear. It doesn’t obstruct the view of the streaming media and it’s only there when I tap to attempt to pause but it prevents me from taking any other action after i’ve done it once before. I hope mentioning these things has been helpful and I look forward to this bug being fixed soon.

I use Disney plus all the time to watch all of my favorite Disney shows and movies. There are a lot of problems that will HAVE to be figured out! But the one that upsets me the most, actually two or more: one; if I switch devices it will often forget where I was in an episode and restart it from the beginning forcing me to skip to where I left off. Also unlike a lot of other streaming platforms, there is no PROGRESS BAR per episode, to show how far you have watched through an episode. If you open the show it will not automatically place you in the season you are watching, you have to go and choose season and scroll to the correct one. On the mobile app there is no way to view episodes if you click on the resume watching box, unlike a lot of other platforms! My mobile device will also often not automatically play the next episode, when I was a kid I dreamed of the day it would automatically play the next episode and guess what everyone else has figured it out! I like the blue circle around the play button about 5 seconds, but it is often not there! So frustrating! I like the idea and content but the curtain should have been held as we say in show business, before release!

There is a lot of great old shows and movies and some new stuff but I would really appreciate it if you would add more new stuff like Gabby Duran And the Unsitibles, Bunk’d, and The Owl house. I think these are shows that the targeted audience of Disney plus like to watch. DisneyNOW has all these shows but sometimes there isn’t the full season of shows that are slightly older and it never works very well. I love that you have National Geographic shows on it because I cant really watch those any where else except for the National Geographic channel and a few on Netflix. I really enjoy watching the shows that you do have and I would really appreciate if you would add more Disney Channel shows. Please tell me why you do what you advertise and don’t let me watch all the Disney shows. I got Disney plus because DisneyNOW didn’t have very much content of shows that I didn’t watch very much but Disney plus doesn’t have most of the shows I do watch and now I have nowhere to watch Disney shows because it is almost impossible to get DisneyNOW to work and it is even harder to find Disney shows on the internet. I am begged you to PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE add more Disney Channle content. It would be really appreciated by me and a lot of other people my age. Also please make the internet on DisneyNOW work, it is driving me CRAZY!!!!!!!

I know Mulan was probably a expensive movie to put together but I already have Premier Access so why do I have to pay for the exact same thing just to watch one movie? I know you guys still have to make money during the pandemic but I’m not gonna pay 30$ just to watch one movie and your probably gonna do this again and make everyone who had payed 30$ for Mulan pay an extra 30$ to watch another movie. I was so excited to watch Mulan because I had Premier Access and I didn’t understand that I had to pay for it twice because the wording of it was weird all I understood was “Avaliable with Premier Access” I asked my mom if we had Premier Access and she said yes. I waited until MIDNIGHT to see if I could watch it and when I saw I couldn’t I nearly broke down in tears. No joke. I searched when it would be available and it turns out I have to wait an extra 3 months before getting to watch it. December 4 is a long way off and with school starting it’s gonna take even longer. The more bored you are at school the longer the year is gonna take. Which means by the time It’s December 4 I’m probably gonna forget this movie exists and I’m gonna go on to Disney+ and be saying to myself “I’ll watch it later”.

Just kidding.. but really Disney+ may be a competitor to Netflix but since I started my free trial & now Verizon promotion subscription - my family & I have been watching Disney+ non-stop. Of course being that this is a new app there are some small bugs but nothing that isn’t going to deter a Disney fan from loving this app anyway! Some of the movies listed aren’t available until certain dates like January 1, 2020 or sometime in April but it’s not all of the movies and I think for the most part most the hit movies are available to watch. It would be nice to have an open platform with all the movies available but you know what? For only $6.99 a month you can’t beat that. Thank you Disney for being a millennial-friendly subscription - all your movies especially Pixar have grown with my generation in mind. We appreciate you! If you have a Verizon unlimited plan definitely enroll in the Disney+ promotion it is so worth it not only for those of you who have children but sometimes us adults need some Disney magic in our lives as well - pretty sure Walt Disney himself said something of that sort at one point. Don’t come for me if he didn’t but I’m pretty sure he did :)

So my family has gotten this and it is a great app! But the only thing is a minor bug. So I was bringing our iPad on a car trip, and before we went, I downloaded some episodes of my favorite Disney TV show so I could watch them offline in the car, and I stared watching them on the way to our carpool mates, and I noticed that it wasn’t as smooth as it was supposed to be... So I just thought, “Oh, this happens all the time with Netflix, so it shouldn’t be a big deal with this. I can fix it later.” So we dropped the iPad off at our house, and a few hours later, we came home, and I started to watch some more of the show, and it was still... Grainy, if you know what I mean? So I went to my dad and asked if he could fix it, but he didn’t know how, so I tried restarting the app, but it wasn’t smooth still. I tried restarting the whole iPad, but it still wouldn’t fix. So I finally figured that if I delete the app and then get it back again, it would be fixed. And we signed in again, and it worked that time... Quite an annoying situation, but it was... Kind of an “ easy” fix, but maybe you guys could fix this problem for an update. Thank you for your time! Fan
Love hate relationship

First off I love all the amazing movies from the past and The Mandalorian Is soooo good! But recently the customer service has been sub par. On all my devices, as of two days ago after the few months it has been working fine is no longer working when on my home Wifi. Restarted router, uninstall reinstall all apps and support says it’s a WiFi issue. To test that theory I wold start a vid on data then quickly switch to WiFi and it works fine... I would even Fast forward/rewind pause and play to make sure it wasn’t just saved buffer and it all worked just fine. When I would exit out and try to resume the vid it then gave me an error message saying not able to connect... all customer service continues to do is say it is something on my and even after stating the facts then has yet to respond or give any details even requested a call back they said some one would respond in 10 days... My computer can stream just fine when on WiFi when I stream through there website so this is another indicator this is an app issue but no one wants to look into it or address this it seams. If they would make more of an effort I would not write this review. 100 some bucks isn’t a big deal for a year but it’s the principle of lack of accountability and assistance. A few other friends scattered around my town and local towns have had the same issue...

Here is the thing, I love Disney, my family loves Disney. Everyone young and old loves Disney. I think it’s an amazing app, with some even better features, and yes it has a bunch of glitches (which I’m not stressing about because in time those would be fixed), there are some things missing, (again could be fixed in the future, maybe something’s just need to be developed better, whatever the case may be). Those things don’t bother me. This is what I don’t like...,, ...The majority of the people who’ll be using this app are people who aren’t tech savvy or children. They aren’t always using the most up to date device or software, some children that are using Disney plus (which o can attest to) are children using gen 3 iPads. Or iPhone 4s. Things that are Easy in the hands of children. But unfortunately the app doesn’t support those devices, as they are too old for use. It would be fantastic if it was, I think they would have a lot more viewership but at this rate it’s very hard to use such a wonderful app on such an old device. I mean Netflix does work on things that old. Disney please consider this. Not everyone can or will upgrade a child’s device just so they can watch Disney movies.

Overall I love Disney plus. There are so many shows/movies to select from that it’s hard for a Disney lover to decide where to start. Since today was launch day I know there will be some kinks that need to be worked out. I just wanted to list some issues or recommendations that could/should possibly be addressed in a future update. I saw one review mention that stuff they were adding to their watchlist wasn’t saving. I ran into that same issue. Another issue I ran into was my auto play wasn’t working. I have that setting turned on but when watching a series it does not automatically play the next episode. I also noticed that an episode was missing from season 1 of the little mermaid series. My recommendations for possible updates are: (1) add a “continue watching” section that shows what I was last watching and didn’t finish. (2)when watching a series have the episodes that users have watched marked in some way that shows they’ve been watched. Currently having to remember what episode I left off on. (3) maybe add a DCOM section so all those are in one place. Overall, I love Disney+ and I’m so excited to keep streaming all my Disney favorites

The app is perfect, but these crazy reviewers are the boneheads ..look people right now there is no feature of “what I watched last “ or history the app would slow down you want that go back to netflix and stay there. Just because you can add 7 people to your account is does not always mean you should. You really trust those 7 people with your account info? Remember only 4 streams allowed and You have should known that you have to have control over these devices. If your password gets changed it will be your fault deal with it. Then you free phone deal will not matter at all. The movies could and will edited if Disney sees fit you should have know this. 4.3 ? No no no 5.5 and nothing else . The app engine is pure and clean cues up easy , logo guides are clear to understand and easy find. Pick Your items then play them from the largest Disney library of gems no worries 🎥🎧🎬 Before anymore stupid comments or ideas come to past here read FQA page please! To anyone else read the fine print know what you paying for people. This pure Disney can not get any better than that nuff said . 🇬🇧🎸🔥

Hi please listen. Do do you ever wanna watch Disney movies or tv stows but you don’t know what do you want to watch or do you ever want options between Star Wars or Marvel? If you have that problem then I have a solution for you get Disney+! I have Disney+ and I love it! One reason why I love it is because I can have it on my tv iPod, iPad, or phone. Also if my sister is watching tv and I want to watch Disney+ then I can go on my iPad and watch. It’s awesome!! Another reason why I love Disney+ is because I can choose from so many different Disney movies or tv shows. Also I can watch all shows like Hannah Montana. Here’s one more reason why Disney+ is awesome. The quality is excellent! It’s super cheap and it’s so great. What I mean is there’s so many movies and TV shows I can watch and it’s not a lot of money. I can watch a new Marvel movie without going to the store and paying for that movie to buy it. I Disney+ I can just watch it and there’s more options! I can just watch the movie the fort so I remember and then watch that new movie so I can remember what happened before! Thanks for reading this and I hope you love Disney+ like me.

I absolutely love Disney+ it has brought me back to my childhood and that’s a wonderful thing to give to the world right now. All the Disney channel originals i could never find anywhere else is all right here and it makes my heart so full of happiness and nostalgia. But there’s a few issues as others have said. First, why does it have the second movie and not the first one for some titles not all but I have been noticing it with a few movies. Like with National Treasure for example, the first one’s not coming out till April 2020 what was the thought process there?! Second, when you go to rewind a movie with the touch screen in your phone it’s not accurate at all. I’ll go to a certain time take my finger off gently i might add and then it either jumps way ahead or behind of what I actually chose. Third, like others said the continued watching section is terrible why do i have to go back and search for where i was on some movies I’ve never seen, that’s just asking for spoilers just like the rewinding situation. I think with some adjustments you have yourself a truly fantastic app and a gift to the world. Thank you. 🤍

It’s cool that it has older tv shows that I grew up watching, no doubt I love that!, however it doesn’t resume my tv shows, I often times have to look for the exact one I left off at. It’s really annoying. (Especially when you have a crying child!) It also needs the “you just watched this” feature right up front so I don’t have to go searching for it. When I get on to Disney plus it’s always the same movies.. and I’m not interested in those. I want to see only what I’m interested in. That’s the reason why I bought it. Another feature it needs is. “Because you watched this, we suggest you watch that” I’m getting bored of the same things, nothing new is on there. Well not that I know of.... another suggestion that you also separate the “coming soon” movies from the other ones. People can get excited about the up coming year, instead of being supper bummed when they see they have to wait till the month of November in the year 2020 to see the movie or tv shows. I was really upset when I realized I couldn’t watch what I wanted till next Christmas. I’m not to excited about this any more. It’s not a good set up. I feel i was conned out of my money. I bought the year subscription and I wish I hadn’t.
Great service bad app

As a streaming service Disney plus is very good but as an app it is bad. This is not a review of the service but a review of the app. One of my points for Disney plus being a bad app is that it crashes randomly and will not open for a bit after it crashes. Recently my power went out and since I had a lot of stuff downloaded on Disney plus I thought I would watch that until my power got back on. But when I opened the app it went to a dark blue screen and then crashed I tried again but the same happened. Then I tried to restart my iPad and try again. When I opened up Disney plus after I restarted my iPad the same thing happened. So instead of using Disney plus I had to use Netflix. When my power got back on I had to delete Disney plus and redownload almost 100GB of shows and movies. The reason I’m writing this is because just now a few days after I I redownloaded Disney plus and all my shows and movies the same thing is happening I thought it would be solved with the new update but no. I have not found any way to stop this and I am very mad. Disney plus needs to put more work into there app and it’s quality control. If anyone from Disney plus is reading this please help me and thank you to every one who has read this.

So our family of Disney-lovers find Disney+ to be everything we wanted it to be! Can’t wait for more of the original content to be released, also! I just have a minor suggestion for a future update that would make things a lot easier for us (and I’m sure others). Our son LOVES to watch the Mickey & Friends shorts. So much so, that we re-watch them constantly. However, after an episode is over and it’s continued to auto-play, if we go back to a previously played episode, it stars playing at the credits. There is no “play from the beginning button”. That leaves me scrambling to manually hold down the rewind button. Now it’s not so bad to have to rewind something, but the real problem is once that episode that I rewound is over, it will auto play the next episode and (because it was previously viewed) starts playing that from the credits again! It’s extremely frustrating considering the episodes are only 3-4 minutes long. On the Disney Now app, if the episodes were played to completion, any rewatches go back to the beginning. PLEASE MAKE THIS A FUTURE UPDATE! I fear my sanity and productivity are in jeopardy until this is fixed.
Great Service, Missing One Key Feature

My wife and kids and I love the service so far! There’s tons of stuff for everyone to watch and we’re enjoying showing them the classic movies we watched as kids. The app works quite much better now that they’ve squashed some bugs and added the all important continue watching feature. The app is still not perfect however. After using the app more, I’ve noticed some peculiarities that don’t make much sense. The first is that when someone watches something on their profile, it will often show up on the continue watching list on my profile even though I’ve never watched that show on my profile. This happens quite often with my son’s episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The other weird thing I’ve run into is that Moana can not be found on a child’s profile. This means my 5 year old who loves Moana must have an adult account that is more difficult for her to navigate in order to watch her favorite movie on the service. Overall, we’re very happy both with the service and the app. Once a few minor tweaks are made, I think Disney+ will be able to play ball with the big dogs.
Charged twice

I have been charged twice for the same account since December of 2019. One payment is being withdrawn from Apple and the other from Google Play which never has my information on the first place(with different billing dates), I repeat, FOR THE SAME DISNEY+ ACCOUNT. I called Disney+ to get an answer and they kept telling me that it wasn’t their problem and that SOMEHOW Google got my information (email and credit card number) and that even though they were accepting two different payments methods FOR THE SAME EXACT ACCOUNT, they couldn’t do anything. That I had to call Google Play and tell them that I was being charged from Apple too and ask them for my money back. I called Google and they told me that my report for a refund didn’t meet their policy and that for them, this one was the only payment method for the Disney+ and that I needed to call Disney+ (which I already did but they kept tossing the ball to Google or Apple). Then I called Apple and guess what... THEY SAID THE SAME THING, that they are not connected to Google Play and they cannot give me a refund. I don’t know what else to do, I realized that this happened to so many people and they still don’t have an answer. Disney+ is authorizing payments from two different sites for the same service/account and not doing anything to solve the problem.

OLD REVIEW: So, I gave this four stars because I do love the app and would love to give it five stars if only this one problem would be fixed. I was initially annoyed about the no “continue watching” feature but with the update that fixed my problem. Or so I thought... when I first got the continue watching update it worked on all of my devices. Unfortunately, now- no matter what device I am on- it restarts the episode that I was on. The continue watching will show me my show and say 7 mins remaining, or something like that, but when I click on it it will load to the beginning of that episode. This is not the worst because I will fast forward to where I was, but I do feel it is an inconvenience and would love for it get fixed. Again I would like to emphasize my love for this app and getting to rewatch all of my favorite Disney shows and movies. Please fix this little bug so I can change my review to five stars. NEW REVIEW: I love the app and have changed my review to five stars because the bug mentioned above was fixed. Thank you Disney+ this app is amazing.

I love this app and have had it for a little while now. All my favorite Disney channel original movies in one place, talk about a childhood dream come true! The only issue I have had that doesn’t seem to have been addressed in the update, is that my watchlist isn’t working right. Currently, it’s missing some shows and movies that I can look up and see that I’ve added to my watchlist already, though it’s not showing up when I open the watchlist. The watchlist is also duplicating the items that do show up on the list. I’m not sure if this is connected to the other problem I noted above or if it is a completely different issue. Obviously, I still love the app and have even recommended it to a few people. I just wanted to mention this issue that I am having as the other reviews I have read didn’t seem to mention this. I hope this is an easy fix, as I do think this app is great. Disney as a company is amazing! I am so grateful that I can watch all the movies and shows I love that are more recent, while also having the option to revisit some old favorites that I grew up watching (and loving).

Update: So somehow as you watch content it is saved into documents and data. I have no content downloaded within the app but somehow over 6GB of documents and data?? Also it shows multiple episodes downloaded in the storage setting view of the iPhone that aren’t downloaded within the Disney plus app itself. After deleting those episodes that aren’t downloaded but somehow are, there was still over 590MB of documents and data. I deleted and reinstalled the app and it had mere kb of data. As I start watching content again, the documents and data keeps increasing, what gives? I have tons of other streaming apps that don’t do this, it’s a major hassle, please fix! Original review:Lots of things already available. The menus and selection content loads quickly and the playback quality is very good. Also tried it on the Roku and it also looks way better than every other streaming app I have. Things load and begin to play quickly. They have a search function but they also have multiple ways of categorizing so you can get to what you want pretty quickly as well. So far it’s working and looking great, have to see how it does when millions of people are using it at the same time.

We (obviously) enjoy a bunch of the Disney content, and even some of the “original” content (like The Mandalorian) is very well done. However, the app itself leaves a lot to be desired. My two main complaints are: 1. The app always begins playing a show immediately with no buffering, but then, at exactly 20 seconds in, buffers for 5-10 seconds. This is extremely annoying, especially when you’re watching a Pixar short that is only two minutes long. Also, since the update, the app has begun buffering randomly in the middle of programs, sometimes 2-3 times in a row. For reference, we also have Netflix and Britbox, and neither one EVER stops the show at any point to buffer. 2. The lack of a working “continue watching” bar. I know that this bar showed up in the update, but it doesn’t work on either of our devices. The bar is there; it shows the programs we’ve been watching, and how far we’ve progressed into them. But when I tap on one of the programs in the bar, it nearly always restarts the program from the beginning. About once in ten times, it will restart from where we stopped watching, but those aren’t good odds.
One little thing

Alright, so this is going to be short and sweet. Disney plus is amazing, I use it all the time to watch my favorite movies, and recently I’ve been binge watching the marvel movies. It works out pretty well for me. New episodes come out within a few days (which is pretty awesome), you get to watch anything owned by Disney, and it’s just awesome. (Especially The Mandalorian) But there is one thing that could make it better, and I’ve seen other people make this suggestion too. Disney plus should definitely have a “currently watching” section. It’s the one thing left that I need. Otherwise I have to look up the movie that I’m watching, find the right one, and hope it starts off where I ended. And it does, but I think it’d take a little less time and effort if you put a currently watching section right on the top bar of your home screen. That way I can click the app, scroll down a tiny, tiny little bit, and click the movie or show that I’m watching. So yeah, my suggestion (which you should totally add) would be a currently watching section. Otherwise, Disney plus is basically perfect for me.

The service is off the a great start and I have no doubt that Disney will continue to add more movies, shows, and shorts as it continues. However, while there is a lot of stuff in the service at launch, much of it feels like filler material and some of the things not included can felt. Such as not a single Indiana Jones movie, or the fact that Disney now owns all of Fox’s catalog but only include the Simpsons and avatar. No alien or fox X-men movie? I know these will probably be added later on but I feel like a streaming service that wants to truly compete with other platforms like Netflix should have many of these films already included to form an unbeatable backbone and then continue to support the platform with original content and other new releases after their run in movie theaters. Otherwise you get what we have now, which is a service that has a couple of main classics here and there, and a few originals, but is mostly made up of Disney channel original content and lots of live action D-list filler movies that only someone who grew up with would enjoy watching for nostalgic reasons.
TV shows out of order

For what I use the app for it works fantastic. I have noticed updates being rolled out and see the changes happen which is fantastic. The biggest con I have is the older tv shows are out of order. Watched the new Ducktales and Talespin and the first 2-3 episodes for each are hidden randomly throughout the run. I know it’s a cartoon but it is nostalgic and watching it as an adult and wanting to know why certain things happened would be nice to know at the beginning. Other complaints would be stretching the old Simpsons 4:3 into 16:9. The old Disney cartoons are 4:3 so why not the old Simpsons? The app works well with chromecast. Every now and then the programming will stop playing whether it’s 2 episodes in or 8. It’ll randomly stop. They need to add skip intros to all tv shows like The Mandalorian has. I look forward to the future of this streaming service and can’t wait for the whole MCU to be available. Also, please add more classic Mickey Mouse programming as big blocks. Not individual 6 minutes episodes. I have to search for and stream one at a time. Fix these issues I have pointed out and this will be in my eyes a five star app.
BLUE SPIRAL OF SLOW and bugs...please fix

Have a 150+ Mbps internet connection and think Disney + should work fine when you pay for it? Yeah, me too. However, the app is buffering nearly all the time and sometimes stops in the middle of shows to show the “BLUE SPIRAL OF SLOW” as the app attempts to catch up. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, closing and restarting the app and device more times than we care to keep track of, checking for updates and...oh yes, I would think a minimum 150 Mbps download should be adequate for an app that requires 5 and 25 Mbps for HD and 4K playback, respectively, but who knows? Also, as an added insult, try using the forward or backward playback arrow just once in the app to skip ahead or back a few seconds and you will incur the wrath of the blue spiral for the rest of the episode that you happen to be watching. I might expect such problems from lesser apps, but naively thought Disney would have fixed them early on...and yet here we are. I have asked before (to no avail) and shall ask again...please fix the problems! You get 2 stars because the content is and would be nice to watch, but the bugs in your app for both iPhone and iPad make it difficult to enjoy.

I’m obsessed!! I love Disney+ because it has everything! Like i remember on Netflix i would be watching girl meets world and then before i even finished watching the series they took it off the app and i was just like REALLY YOU'VE GOTTA BE KIDDING ME 😡 so then i downloaded DisneyNOW and i would watch an episode of something but then have to wait like 2 weeks to see the next one and it wouldn’t even go in order! I was like JUST PUT SOME STUFF ON THERE PEOPLE COME ON!! So i just deleted both and then Disney+ come out and i was like HALLELUJAH!! One thing i will say is there is a lot of glitching like when I’m watching the show will stop and pause randomly and then you have to push the button twice. Also when i turn my tablet around it will turn the screen but instead of like turning sideways it goes into the corner, i don’t think that made any since like AT ALL lol 😆. (Im tryin here lol 😝). Other than that this is just amazing i love it so so soooooooo much!Thank you guys so much for this you are such a blessing!! Thanks a million! God bless!!🙂🥰
Disney+ is Okay.

Disney plus is an app you have to buy, for an app you have to buy it has some low points. To start with is the thing that I hate the most. You can’t use the Disney+ app when it needs an update. Disney+ takes up sooooo much storage already and when it needs an update you have to wait until you have enough storage on your device! I also had to keep the Disney Now app just so I could watch new episodes of currently airing shows which is REALLY annoying and takes up more of my storage. I also hate the fact that a few shows, like Andi Mack, don’t have the entire season! It’s like starting a movie and skipping an entire hour of it! It is also quite annoying that there are the 1st and/or 2nd movie in a three movie series on Disney+. I watched the first mighty ducks but the second and third one are not on Disney+. I do however like the fact that they have all the original Disney movies that you have to buy on your regular TV. This is a good app for someone who is into only the older Disney movies and shows. However, it can be quite annoying for someone like me who likes old and new Disney shows and movies.

It’s pretty clear they are hoping to coast on the popularity of the brand, and it will probably work. My kid likes Disney enough that I’m willing to jump through the hoops. Still, there is a ton of stuff that is not available because of prior licensing agreements, which is extremely frustrating when the only thing the service has going for it is the promise of a comprehensive repository. They definitely should have waited until they had reclaimed all their content, or offered an extra service where they handle explaining the intersection of greed and intellectual property to my crying toddler who just wants to watch Tinkerbell. As an app, it does a fine job of providing the underwhelming experience it’s tasked with, so I didn’t knock off all the stars. The service itself has been very slow to catch up to the basic experience other streaming options offer. Overall the whole service and app feel like they were rushed out in beta and are only now beginning to resemble a finished product, which is disappointing from a company that has all the resources it needs to do things right.
Horribly optimized app

Getting two stars because of this app missing the simplest streaming features out there across all devices. Not being able to easily resume a movie/show gets beyond irritating. Especially when they release a resume feature couple weeks after launch only to find out it’s broken, you have to manually search through the app each time to find what you were watching; find it, hit resume and it simply restarts. Thought it was my device messing up, but same happens on mobile, pc, fire stick and playstation. Don’t understand how such a big company that claims to be the new kings of streaming can’t even manage to have the simplest features work. Playbacks constantly skip where the video freezes and the audio continues. This can last 5-10 seconds, goes in a loading loop and then rewinds back to the spot before it hit the video freeze. This has also been happening since launch and happens quite often. Overall it’s a pretty crappy app that was rushed and never optimized for common use. Great selection but unless you want to deal with a headache trying to watch what you want, i’d wait till Disney decides to fix this app as it feels like a Beta testing.

I have an account and like I didn’t want to be selfish so I let my friends come on it since you can add up to 7 people. The thing is, what if one day I decided I don’t want them on it anymore but they refuse to leave. I can’t do anything abt it except cancel the subscription but then everyone else would be effected by just one person . The owner should be able to have more control. Like the owner can do stuff with other profiles and manage stuff more and ppl who aren’t the owner of it shouldn’t be able to like change or go on other ppls profile unless allowed or something. Like you can go on the owners profile even if your not the owner. The last thing is, I trust my friends so I gave them the password to it so they can login but what if for some reason(I doubt the ppl that are on my account would do this bc they are my closest friends) but one day they could just decided to change the password because even if your not the owner of the account, you can still change the password which isn’t right. But that’s all I have to say

Okay to start off I’ve never wanted to make a review of anything but this is something I wanna talk about! When they brought this up I was like it’s not like they’ll have Snow White or Crash and Bernstein! But when got the app this morning...🤯! SOMUCH CONTENT! Basically my whole childhood, my siblings childhood, my parents childhood, my Grandparents childhood, and Even my great grandparents childhood! I mean Starting off with Disney! So many TV Shows I can’t find anywhere! So many movies! So many series! And way to many things to even count! Marvel has the OG X-Men y’all! I mean I’m not even kidding! We have some Star Wars! With CLONE WARS!!!!!! And they got some FOX OG’S! Including AVATAR,HOME ALONE, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, THE SIMPSONS, THE SOUND OF MUSIC AND MORE!!!! Take my advice and get it plz y’all! If you don’t like these and like documentaries😒... they got those too with... National Geographic? I’m being honest I don’t really like Nat Geo but HEY THEY STILL GOT IT! But being honest there is some technical difficulties Disney is having so if it says “No Connection” just exit and re-enter it’s no big deal! So take my advise and get this!
Love but frustrating

I love Disney plus, has great movies but I’ve been using it more recently and getting more frustrated with playback issues. I watch on my PS4 but also on my iPhone as well. There are several things that are continuing to happen that make it harder and harder to enjoy movies... 1. When I try to rewind it, the picture freezes, but the sound keeps going until it catches up with the visual, which is frustrating cause I continuously have to rewind. 2. Sometimes while viewing, the picture will freeze and sound goes ahead but then the video rushes through the scenes to catch back up with the sound. 3. Other times while viewing, the picture freezes, the sound goes on, and then the sound rewinds further back until it matches the picture. Very frustrating when I’m trying to enjoy a movie. 4. I also very often get logged out out of my account which makes me log back in every other day if not every day. 5. When finishing my movie and trying to go back to home it freezes and everything is just a grey screen. So I constantly have to shut down the app and open it back up.
App needs work

Your content is there. The app needs work. Profiles need personalization or more than just having a watchlist. For example, there’s no “continue watching” section so hope you know where to find whatever it is you were watching. Also, you can something to your watchlist. Finish it, but without knowing how to manipulate the bugs, remove it from your watchlist. Strolling through all the features, you can click on a show, and even if it’s in your watchlist, it won’t show that it’s in your watchlist, leaving you to believe programs you add to your watchlist aren’t actually there. In regards to manipulating the system to take something off of your watchlist, you have to click add to watchlist to ADD it again, then click it again to remove it. That seems to be the only way to remove a show from your watchlist. And this is a problem on ALL my devices not just mobile devices. This includes the Apple TV, and the firestick app. Disney, y’all are great but with so much content on this service, a person needs a better way to keep track of what’s in their watchlist and what they’ve been watching. Please correct this.
Great content, series pages need work

The amount and quality of the content here is great. However the way older TV series are being handled is inconsistent and pretty rough. Some pre-HD shows are presented in their original 4:3 aspect ratio and look fine, but others for some reason are zoomed in, stretching the image and cropping the top and bottom of the screen which looks terrible, and there is no option to switch. Additionally, nearly all the shows I browsed had every episode listed under one season, which means you can’t look for episodes by season and have to scroll right through dozens of episodes to find what you want. Some episodes are mistitled or misnumbered, meaning they auto play out of the intended viewing order. And if you plan on watching a whole series, it doesn’t appear to save your spot so you have to again scroll through the 50-80 episodes of “season 1” to find where you left off. Hopefully these issues will be addressed soon because the rest of the platform seems great and I am very excited for how much content is available to stream for the first time ever thanks to this platform.
Great selection, but lots of tech issues

I only gave 4 stars because the selection is awesome — there’s something for everyone and every mood. However, I stream Disney plus on my iphone hooked up to my TV and that has presented problems. For one, ANY notification (including phone calls) will cause the picture to pause but the audio still continues. Seldom times the show will catch up and continue, but a majority of the time, I have to restart the app. From there, the issues continue. The show seldom saves where I left off; it restarts and I have to fast forward to where I left off (or the best of my memory). Sometimes it’ll say “oops, can’t play this selection right now,” which is even more annoying because I have to unplug my phone from the adapter then reconnect it. Also, if watching a series, I don’t like it doesn’t automatically start the next episode. Otherwise, as previously mentioned, I love reliving my childhood shows and sharing them with my children. This is priceless. If the tech issues could be resolved, I’d give 5 stars.

I hate to sound like I’m parroting other reviews, but... I honestly can’t think of another word to describe Disney+ aside from fantastic. From some of the earliest classics that put the name “Walt Disney” on the map, to the legendary pictures that make up the face of the studio and the stream of new films, shows, and other projects, there’s something on here for almost everyone. I understand that at the time of this review, the service is just over a week old, but if there is at least one thing I would like to add to Disney+, it would be the addition of a section dedicated to some of the content that Disney has rights to (and might add to the service) that are geared towards more mature audiences, such as “The X-Files,” “Deadpool,” and other such properties or materials that might not be suitable for younger audiences (in case such a proposition isn’t already in effect). Aside from that suggestion, this is definitely a streaming platform for fans of Disney and beyond.

I love this app. Is such a great way to go down memory lane and easier to find Disney films but I have two little problems. I use this app in all of my devices, my laptop, my consoles, my phone, including my smart tv. In all of those providers I can change the subtitles except for the smart tv. I found a way but it wold be a lot easier if I can do it directly in the tv. My way is going to my phone putting the options I want and turn the tv off and put the show in the tv. But sometimes it gets annoying. So please fix that. Another issue is there’s some shows that don’t have their full episodes, and I know is a new a provider but I would love to have all the episodes of violetta. A few days ago I finished the first season and when I was about to start the next one I find that the rest of the seasons aren’t there so please it would be great if it can happen. But beside that Disney plus has been a great app. Keep on the good work.
BEAUTIFUL but just a few things

I absolutely love having all the movies in one place. The movies from the vault are such a blessing and it’s like I’m reliving my childhood again but the app itself could use a bit of improvement. I love how they offer a variety of section to search in and maybe find a diamond in the rough to watch but then when you do and suddenly get distracted, you lose your movie and oops! You forgot what it was called!! So I definitely definitely think it needs a “continue watching” section. Also I heard about some of the older classics being ban being of the culture it depicts... I think this is not smart at all and hope it does NOT happen. Yes those movies depict a culture of a time that is no longer relevant, but it’s still history. What’s the good in censoring history when it’s a fact that it happened? Those movies are just what they are, classic. Definitely, most definitely, should not be put back away. Over all love the app but maybe they could make some improvements!
