Skip 10 seconds back bug

Anytime I backup 10 seconds the on screen controls go away and I just get a spinning circle. Only way to fix it is to exit the show and go back in. Any plans to fix this bug? Love Disney plus but the bug is super irritating.

when i stream on my roku express+ , if i let an episode autoplay it freezes up for a minute , and then the whole app completely crashes and restarts my whole roku.... also, when i click the “rewind 10s” button on my ipad, a loading sign comes up making it where you can’t pause or play or use the 10 second buttoned for atleast the rest of the episode i’m watching. i love the content on here tho

On my phone it streams perfectly no pauses but as soon as it’s connected to my chrome cast it pauses and after a few seconds resumes. Can’t be a internet issue because it wouldn’t stream well on my phone either

Overall the app works pretty good and many of the bugs have been fixed. However, downloads no longer work without an internet connection which defeats the purpose of downloading. Unfortunately a lot of the time that I am able to watch is time that I don’t have any internet so it was great before being able to download and watch later but lately every time I attempt to watch my videos without internet I get an error message so I just have to watch Netflix instead. I hope that they are able to resolve this issue soon.

I really dislike Disney I understand that you are try to appeal to the younger generation but please understand that I 14 I still have a lot of kid in me I just ask the you recreate the movies and tv show’s that we love such as “ let it shine ,wizards of waverly place and ,camp rock and many more “. I know you don’t care about comments like this because you have to much money to care about a kid but we all want to make the world better but without love and laughter and hope of happy life how can we live and make life better . And if by any chance you remake them please use that money to make good content and not have them end up like All That because believe it or not I cry thinking about my childhood being gone and I’m on 14 but think you for you time and good day .
Order of episodes needs to be fixed

Phineas and Ferbs episodes are mixed up, the actual first episode of the show is in the eighth spot on this app... I don’t know about the rest of the episodes but if this happened I’m sure the same happened to the rest of the episodes. (Edit) I’ve watched more of the season and all of them are jumbled...

This is strictly for the iPad version of the app. I signed up for Disney+ the instant I could though my Apple TV. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted from Disney. My Disney+ account was started and is maintained through my AppleID because I signed up through my Apple TV / ITunes subscription. I downloaded the IPad app afterward and can’t get access to any of the content. It wants me to long in with an email ( which I never created because it tied to my AppleID ) or start a free trial and by default created a 2nd Disney+ account. Why can’t I log into the iPad app with my Apple ID? Super frustrating. If I attempt to delete the app, IOS will ask me if I want to maintain my Disney+ subscription. Which of course I do, I just can’t watch anything on my iPad, because it won’t let me log in. Hoping someone sees this as my internet search for answers was fruitless.

Old Simpsons in 16:9 aspect ratio only? Shame.

Overall satisfied with the app, but the old seasons of the Simpsons have been reformatted in a 16:9 aspect ratio to fit modern TVs. That means the original 4:3 frame is chopped and this isn’t how the show was meant to look. Some visual gags are even ruined because part of the frame is missing due to this reformatting. It’s a well known defect. FX solved this problem with their FXNOW app, which let users choose between 4:3 and 16:9 when viewing The Simpsons. The Disney+ app should have had a similar feature at launch and amazingly still doesn’t have it. Various publications have called this out. The Simpsons is one of the marquee Disney+ titles, and Disney has spared no expense and has done everything possible to make sure you know they have this show, but in 16:9 it isn’t quite the same Simpsons you know and love. It needs to be available in 4:3. Other than that, they did a nice job.

This app is so good, multiple shows and movies from the past that I loved to watch. I 100% recommend getting it because it is worth it! One thing though, I think it only happens to me, is that I download a whole season but only 1 or 2 episodes really download because the others are ⚠️Error⚠️. Anyways, that’s the only thing! Streaming Issues

Amazing app with all of the Disney classics &amp; old timer favorites. But I ALWAYS have streaming issues while using the app. This is never an issue while streaming Netflix or Prime Video to my tv via Google Chrome. Whenever I try to stream Disney+ through my Google Chrome, it frequently pauses to buffer and load the movie/show. Not impressed. I will probably cancel my subscription because the is the only way to watch it, besides on my phone..

Still a problem with blue spinning circle during playback which makes it impossible to pause/stop/play/forward/reverse without exiting the video. Also the Watchlist should be accessible from the main screen! Get the basics right first please...

I really love that Disney + is now a thing. There are so many old Tv show that are on here that makes me feel nostalgic, and originals that I also enjoy watching. The only issue I have with it is the watchlist. It has multiple of the same title, and sometimes the show or movie won’t be added, and it’s a little annoying. But other than that this is an awesome app.

I am not discontinuing my Disney plus service until you apply better security measures. My younger daughter can still not watch things like Guardians of the Galaxy like my older son can. And I until there is a safe guard for that I will no longer participate in your streaming services. I know the service is still new but frankly yours is the ONLY one without added security measures (proper ones anyway) and therefore the only one I do not subscribe too. Please fix. Honestly you’re Disney. There’s no reason why this shouldn’t already be in place.

I love the app and how it has even the most obscure Disney movies to watch, and for the most part the app works amazingly and is very aesthetic. I am having troubles switching profiles meaning the it won’t let me access the other profiles sometimes, so can’t get to (my own) watchlist or resume watching something. Also while in the middle of watching something it won’t let me pause or go back etc, just shows a buffering sign. All in all a great app but please fix these bugs!!

We’re a few days into the 7day free trial and so far we’re not liking it... we still haven’t been able to watch a full movie...a few minutes into the movie it will stop and restart, black out, the picture with pause and the audio will keep playing, or it’ll just say something went wrong and say to pick another movie... as far as I’m concerned, this app has been nothing up problem after problem and I have updated. I see everyone rating this app almost perfect but from everything my household has experienced with it, I gave a 3 just because of the movies I can almost watch

So my tv basically LIVES on Disney +!!! I absolutely love it! But the only thing I realized that is a small problem is the Watchlist. I have so many movies on there that i’m not aware of because it only shows a portion of them. Will you guys be fixing that soon?

Ok so I like how I can watch classics and new shows iv seen before, but just an fyi you need to check and quadruple check your episode order for your shows as some are miss placed or simply out of order. But over all a good movie and show app

And that is rare for me. But this has EVERYTHING. All my fav Disney stuff cuz I’m in that phase, but when I wanna chill, IT HAS AVENGERS END GAME. Imma huge sucker for that too. The sad part is, Disney doesn’t own everything. No anime. There’s a lot of stuff it is missing. But Disney only puts on stuff that is theirs there. And honestly that kinda shows just how rich Disney is. To have an entire app with only their stuff. To make enough to fill an app, and keep it running. Really. There are a few syncing issues ect, but many other reviews showcase that and I wanna be a ‘happy reviewer’. Overall, it’s amazing. Buy it.

Hi, I have been using Disney+ since the day it came out and I absolutely love it. My only problem is that some of my favorite shows aren’t up there such as Dog with a Blog, Fish Hooks, Sonny with a Chance, and Corey in the House. Once again I do genuinely love the app but I was kind of disappointed when I found out that those shows weren’t on the app. :)

Fast forwarding slow

The fast forward feature is not good and show be quicker with a preview screen more like netflix or other apps. It is very very slow to fast forward and needs to be improved. There is also no increase in the fast forward speed (2x, 4x, etc.).

When watching on PS4, the app will freeze the screen about 30 seconds into anything I play, while the audio continues to play. Then the whole show will reset to when it first froze. It’s been happening for months on everything including the shorts. It’s the worst way to deal with lag. I don’t have this issue streaming on my ps4 on any other services. We have high speed internet and and wired in not with WiFi.

I’ve been using Disney+ on my iPad since December and, overall this app is absolutely great. It has all the movies/shows for me to watch everyday. There is no bugs to me for to complain about its a BIG step up from Disney now. Plus Disney+ has all the classics like Aladdin, Cinderella, and much much more. So that’s why I give this app a 5 star rating. Disney+ has ALL of it. It’s got Star Wars, avengers, and marvel. And ya, but that’s only small parts about why I like Disney plus. Disney+ has an adult profile, and a kids profile. The only difference between them is that the kids profile has PG movies/TV-PG and G movies/TV-G and adult profiles have all the way up to PG-13.(or if Disney owns R movies (which I doubt) that’s basically it for this review.

The only problem I truly have noticed and kinda have a problem with is some of the shows on the app have some episodes missing or not in order which I know it’s hard to everything perfect and everything it’s just kinda annoying but I’m just trying to watch the shows and then it just skips to a different timeline and I notice it says it’s supposed to be next but normally it shouldn’t. Also I notice some shows don’t have a part 2 after a part 1, like it skipped in the timeline. I understand its hard because it’s such a big platform and people make mistakes I just wanted to say this.

They cropped like the first 10 seasons of The Simpsons and censored out the “Mammy” jokes in some of their old cartoons. Censoring and whitewashing the past is irresponsible. Put a warning in front of the cartoon; don’t pretend it didn’t happen.

I use Disney plus on laptop phone and PlayStation. It’s worth it if you like Disney films. There still seems to be a lag issue between all these issues like it play right sometimes like the show or movie isnt synced right like movie play Audio and visual all lags and sometimes the app quits all together because it can’t respond properly. Also another thing is why are you keep on taking movies off that was once there? Seems like a rip off in a way shouldn’t we all like to see various Disney films

I have loved introducing my 3 year old to the classics and newer movies (his creative play has increased since watching a Toy Story!). However, the app got accidentally deleted from a hand me down iPad that he uses and now I cannot install it back on there due to the fact that the OS is older. Other streaming apps offer backwards compatibility on older versions; I would gladly take the glitches on an older version so that it could be on his iPad as I refuse to buy a 3 year old a brand new one.

Of course we love the content on the app. But the interface is the worst of any streaming channels. There absolutely needs to be a “Continue Watching” category on the home screen. And a “Watch it Again”. These are the most used on any of the other apps and to start over from the keyboard search every time is frustrating. Please update the home screen!

Update ver 1.2.2: Now I finally get to watch my favorite Disney films, some which I have not seen since the days of VHS. Great Content, most in 4K HDR🤓. Mandalorian alone is worth the price. However the player still needs work. Scrubbing works just ok, but 10s jumps are hit and miss. Also, the auto play next episode feature does not work on many Disney Channel shows. So for those that like to each the same shows over again, be prepared for some frustration. You will need to manually scrub every episode back to the start in order to watch it a second time. Otherwise you will just be watching the end credits again😢.

I don’t have WiFi at home so I download titles to watch later by using a screen mirroring hdmi cable with my phone. Disney + is the only video app I have that doesn’t support this, rendering it utterly useless to me.

I mainly use my PS4 to watch Disney plus, but one of my biggest problems is the fact that I can’t turn my controller off while I’m watching a show/movie. If I turn my controller off while watching something it’ll stay paused until I turn it back on and press play. My other streaming services like Netflix and YouTube let me turn the controller and whatever I’m watching continues to play but I have to keep my controller on the entire time and it drains the battery down. This is a big issue when u wanna binge a show or if you’re watching a 2 hour long movie and a the light from the controller is in the corner of your eye. Another problem is the fact that it buffers or lags a lot. The screen will pause but the sound will keep going for like 10 seconds and the it’ll rewind back to the part which is not that bad because I’m used to it now; or it’ll just have the loading screen forever and finally say something went wrong and I’ll have to close the app and reload it again. If you can fix these problems that’ll be AMAZING and I will gladly give you five stars.

Great application for streaming only thing that lacks is autoplay when watching on Apple TV, shows that have episodes, my 2 year old screams her head off when the show ends but the next episode starts, this has been a standard feature on every other streaming app.

I would LOVE to give this a 5 star rating. But there is no option to sign out of all devices. I contacted Disney + about this and each time they have told me the option is not availing as of yet?? How is this possible? Also the resume playing feature is spotty at best. About 80% of the time, it starts the movie over. Very annoyed that I paid for a year and can’t cancel now. Step it up Disney

I really enjoy this app because it has all my favorites from my childhood, but all it needs is a couple of improvements. 1. If I’m watching a show I would like for it to show which episodes I’ve already watched because sometimes I skip over episodes and I would love to know which ones I’ve seen. But it’s confusing because there isn’t any indication on which I’ve seen. 2. I’ve noticed in my watchlist the movies/shows are repeated many times which can be confusing. 3. I would like to access the episodes on the main menu then going through my watchlist then looking for it. I would like to access it in a faster way.

I’ve had the Disney app for almost a month now, and I really love it. My only draw backs are that there have been times were it’s constantly buffering or there is an error message. Am sure these things will be fixed in time. I also wish it offered more of the live action movies that have come out like Cinderella, etc. Other than that I do enjoy it.

I’ve been using the Disney plus app ever since the app came out (3 wks), and I’ve been having one issue after another. The app is a very amazing app with loads of Disney favourites and classics for the whole family to enjoy, from my childhood and I have had a great experience with using it. But, there have been a few bumps in the road when it came to me using the app on my PS4 console. I’ll experience problems such as; when I go to rewind something, the movie/show I’m watching will back out and show what will play next. This will not happen when i go to dast forward - only when I go to rewind something. I’ve also noticed very recently that when I add things to my watch list — what ever’s on the bottom will disappear and will no longer be accessable to me. Meaning, I’ll still be able to watch it, but it will no longer be in my Watchlist and this upsets me a lot. I am very happy that I now have something other than and better than Netflix. My only issue is the rewind feature (mainly on my game console) and the Watchlist adding ability. Aside from all the issues and technical difficulties I&#39;ve been facing, the app is very beautiful - bright, colourful, great movies and shows, huge variety of content for the entire family and even the price is affordable and to my liking. I do highly recommend this app to all who enjoys Disney. Just make sure to be aware of the problems I&#39;ve faced I&#39;ve you decide to use it on your video game console or even your television.

I love the content on Disney+ overall, and it’s so amazing to have all of the classic content I grew up with at my fingertips. Much of the content is great and can be watched over and over again, with tons of hours of streaming available for any major Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, or National Geographic fan. With that being said, the app is in need of some major updates. The first and most glaring issue is the “Continue Watching” section or “Watch Again” functionality. With Disney, much of the content is self explanatory and is simple to find because we know what it is called. But for the other stuff, such as National Geographic, it can be hard to identify what I watched already or what I need to continue. Please add this function as soon as possible! Another issue is the inability to view show or movies synopsis without clicking into the show on Apple TV. For instance, when you pull up Gordon Ramsay Uncharted on the Apple TV app, you can mouse over it and get a picture of Gordon Ramsay standing in front of an ocean front. The problem is, what is the show about? Is Gordon Ramsay going to chart the ocean? Is he going to cook in uncharted territories? Will he take the ocean? Who knows! With much of the content, this is easily seen past because the content is already familiar, but with new content and more things being added I think this is a definite need to make selecting a show more interesting and simple.

I’ve been using app on iOS phone/iPad/Apple TV since it’s release. One of my biggest headaches and frustrations with the app is if you are watching something, close the app out for a little bit and go to reopen one of three things will occur. 1) app will say “oops seems to be an error” something to that effect and you will have to completely close out the app and reopen. Then whatever you are watching is reset to the very beginning. 2) when you turn your device back on whatever you were watching just starts playing in the background with the app not open. When you open the app you can’t even turn it off by the show/movie isn’t playing, but yet you can hear the audio in the background...so again you have to completely close the app and reopen to yet again be at the very beginning of the show/movie. 3) when you reopen the app the show/movie is showing open still...however when you click play you get the “opps seems to be an error” an message...and you guessed you have to close app completely to reopen and have your show/movie restarted at the very beginning. Another big issue I have is if you try to rewind by clicking the rewind button the on screen buttons disappear and you get the “working” spinning wheel. The only way to make it go away is to touch the time bar. I have numerous more issues with the app...if it was not for the excellent content I would have deleted everything. Please fix the app though.
Major sound quality and loading issues

I’ve been using this app for a couple weeks and every movie I’ve watched will go from normal sound level to a barely audible level and then back to normal about every 10-20 minutes in a never ending cycle for the entirety of the movie. There’s nothing I can do to fix it, if I rewind then it will go back to normal volume but then it will switch to low volume at the exact second it did before I rewound. Its EXTREMELY frustrating and I don’t understand why it’s a thing. Also if you rewind or fast forward using the 10second buttons it will often freeze for a few seconds and when it unfreezes there will still be a loading circle where the play/pause button is make pause/fast forward/rewind unavailable unless you use the controls on your headphones. These issues should not be a thing when dealing with a company with the resources that Disney has. Please fix this bc it makes using your service unbearable. The last frustrating thing is that they don’t even have all the marvel movies on their platform. Every other streaming service gives access to ALL of their original content. I paid for this service so I could watch all of the marvel movies in order and I find myself having to go to other platforms to find certain marvel movies. They should have had every movie available at launch but instead they make us wait until as long as 3 months for certain movies even tho other services have them now.

I love this app! I’m a Disney fan through and through and even have several Disney trivia games. This app is great for me and people like me who appreciate the classic animations, newer live actions, and everything in between. My only recommendation is for some new features that I think would add a lot for the die hard fans of Disney. These two features are a chronological order and a randomized, which I will better describe below. I know there are dates with each movie and online websites, but it would be interesting to see a sort feature designated for when the movies come out. This way this wishing to cross all the Disney movies off their list, may do so. This will be especially handy, since not all the movies or tv shows owned by Disney are not yet on Disney plus, but can evolve with the development and addition of more items. The randomizes, which would be the one I would like to see the most, could be used for just movies, just tv shows, or all items listed. All it would generate after being selected is a random title from the list of all available. This would help those who can’t decide what to watch, but would also like to see something new. It would also help get exposure for some less well known titles on the app. These are both purely recommendations on my end, and other than seeing these, I love the app and where it’s at. Thank you Disney!

Overall I like Disney+. I think it is a great idea and it is wonderful to have all the movies in one place. As much as I love it, I would only give this app a 4 out of 5 star review because of a few things I have come across when having this app for a week or so now. My first thing I would point out is the no “Continue watching” bar. This is a common thing that people have pointed it to me and I have realized is a inconvenience as well. I don’t like how you have to go back and find what you were watching to continue watching it (if I even remember what I was watching). My next thing that I have found is that the movie may seem that it is on the platform but is not actually. I have realized this with some of the Marvel movies. I was looking forward to watching all of them in chronological order. As I was saving them to my “watch later” bar, I relived that even though it may seem that they are on the platform they may not come on till later in the year. I was disappointed as why would they seem like they have it on and it is not actually there. My suggestion is to have a place where all the movies or shows that are coming soon are and they are separated from the movies and shows are that are already on the platform. These are a few of my suggestions that I would greatly appreciate were reviewed.

I waited for a while before subscribing from Disney Plus for a few bugs to get worked out. Overall I am happy but there are a couple improvements I wish they would work on. First, when trying to rewind a movie with the 10 second rewind button, it usually only works once on my iPad. I have to scroll with my finger to go back, then I also get another push of the 10 second rewind button only to repeat the scrolling... I have not tried the forward button but imagine the same problem. If that is the worse problem I have with bugs then I feel they are headed in the right direction. It is a very minor annoyance for me. The other thing I wish was that Disney had more of their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s live films available. There are many I want to watch again and are not available yet. Hopefully, Disney will continue to add more movies every so often. Monthly would be perfect. I also wish there were more options for breaking down what movies or shows to choose from by preference. I like live filmed older family movies from 3 generations. Sometimes I would like to know more about the stars of the film and what other Disney films they were in, even if the films are not available yet. But, I imagine in time many changes and improvements will be made.

I love how they have ALL the Disney Chanel Originals which was the biggest thing I was wanting. I’ve only been exploring for a little while but it has sooo much. I am frustrated with not having a “currently watching” list though, that is a pretty necessary thing when I stop watching for a bit I don’t want to have to re-search for my show. That is the only reason it is not 5 stars. One last thing is I’ve read that some older movies may be censored due to racial or ethnic jokes/slurs or whatever. I really hope they DO NOT do this because that is not only changing beloved movies and shows it is an attempt to alter history. Whether it is approved of or not in today’s society it is a fact that people thought differently in former years and it shows in how they made everything from film to art to books. If there is concern on how it will affect today’s children then it should be seen as a conversation point not something to remove, and if it offends adults then they have the right not to watch it same as we all do for anything. If censoring must be done then make it optional so that those who want to watch the shows in their entirety can freely do so. Having a commentary or intro series for each explaining the societal and cultural environment of the time would be welcome

Addendum: They added a continue watching and a recommended for you. Increased to 4 stars, now just waiting for new content to see how it goes. I got this app for the bew star wars stuff coming out which is awesome. And it has things from the vault, old cartoons. It has sub sections: star wars/disney/marvel etc. that being said. Theirs things to work on. Theirs no continue watching, you need to either add it to your current watch to the watchlist or search every time. And it wont always remember where you left off especially for shows itll just replay ep 1 however i havent had this issue with movies, it remembers my place most times. It freezes often requiring you to close and reopen the app(ps4) havent had freeze issues on tablet. Itll also freeze and then go back a minute replaying things as it tries to correct itself. The current library is very limited to older disney movies. As i believe other streaming oroviders have current contracts for certain movies they prolly wont be able to add them to disney+ till other hulu/netflix movies are done with their contracts example is a limited marvel movie selection. They have plans to add more shows/movies so i think itll be like netflix where they add and remove shows and movies. When its less buggy I’ll prolly give it 4-5 stars at that time.

I LOVE this app and have really enjoyed introducing my kiddos to all of the classics! I feel like I am a kid again and am in 7th heaven when I come home and ALL of the Disney movies are just waiting for me! My kids love it and everyone has a new favorite show. All of our other streaming services have officially been forgotten so thank you Disney for saving my hard earned money and for putting all of the most amazing movies in one place!! Please do not remove older shows due to older views and fear of offending people. I love all Disney movies and appreciate them for what they were and acknowledge that views have drastically changed over the decades. Some items may be offensive, even to me as a African American woman but as so many other have pointed out these are better used as talking points for our children. We cannot alway run from the offensive history that we have, it happened, and it is better to learn from it than pretend like it has always been perfect (which it is far from perfect today). Also, I really hope we can an area that shows what we are “currently watching” and when I open up the movie it could have the bar that shows how much was completed. I know we have a “watchlist” but it doesn’t help having to search each time.

I use Disney plus all the time to watch all of my favorite Disney shows and movies. There are a lot of problems that will HAVE to be figured out! But the one that upsets me the most, actually two or more: one; if I switch devices it will often forget where I was in an episode and restart it from the beginning forcing me to skip to where I left off. Also unlike a lot of other streaming platforms, there is no PROGRESS BAR per episode, to show how far you have watched through an episode. If you open the show it will not automatically place you in the season you are watching, you have to go and choose season and scroll to the correct one. On the mobile app there is no way to view episodes if you click on the resume watching box, unlike a lot of other platforms! My mobile device will also often not automatically play the next episode, when I was a kid I dreamed of the day it would automatically play the next episode and guess what everyone else has figured it out! I like the blue circle around the play button about 5 seconds, but it is often not there! So frustrating! I like the idea and content but the curtain should have been held as we say in show business, before release!

So my family has gotten this and it is a great app! But the only thing is a minor bug. So I was bringing our iPad on a car trip, and before we went, I downloaded some episodes of my favorite Disney TV show so I could watch them offline in the car, and I stared watching them on the way to our carpool mates, and I noticed that it wasn’t as smooth as it was supposed to be... So I just thought, “Oh, this happens all the time with Netflix, so it shouldn’t be a big deal with this. I can fix it later.” So we dropped the iPad off at our house, and a few hours later, we came home, and I started to watch some more of the show, and it was still... Grainy, if you know what I mean? So I went to my dad and asked if he could fix it, but he didn’t know how, so I tried restarting the app, but it wasn’t smooth still. I tried restarting the whole iPad, but it still wouldn’t fix. So I finally figured that if I delete the app and then get it back again, it would be fixed. And we signed in again, and it worked that time... Quite an annoying situation, but it was... Kind of an “ easy” fix, but maybe you guys could fix this problem for an update. Thank you for your time! Fan

Just kidding.. but really Disney+ may be a competitor to Netflix but since I started my free trial &amp; now Verizon promotion subscription - my family &amp; I have been watching Disney+ non-stop. Of course being that this is a new app there are some small bugs but nothing that isn’t going to deter a Disney fan from loving this app anyway! Some of the movies listed aren’t available until certain dates like January 1, 2020 or sometime in April but it’s not all of the movies and I think for the most part most the hit movies are available to watch. It would be nice to have an open platform with all the movies available but you know what? For only $6.99 a month you can’t beat that. Thank you Disney for being a millennial-friendly subscription - all your movies especially Pixar have grown with my generation in mind. We appreciate you! If you have a Verizon unlimited plan definitely enroll in the Disney+ promotion it is so worth it not only for those of you who have children but sometimes us adults need some Disney magic in our lives as well - pretty sure Walt Disney himself said something of that sort at one point. Don’t come for me if he didn’t but I’m pretty sure he did :)

Here is the thing, I love Disney, my family loves Disney. Everyone young and old loves Disney. I think it’s an amazing app, with some even better features, and yes it has a bunch of glitches (which I’m not stressing about because in time those would be fixed), there are some things missing, (again could be fixed in the future, maybe something’s just need to be developed better, whatever the case may be). Those things don’t bother me. This is what I don’t like...,, ...The majority of the people who’ll be using this app are people who aren’t tech savvy or children. They aren’t always using the most up to date device or software, some children that are using Disney plus (which o can attest to) are children using gen 3 iPads. Or iPhone 4s. Things that are Easy in the hands of children. But unfortunately the app doesn’t support those devices, as they are too old for use. It would be fantastic if it was, I think they would have a lot more viewership but at this rate it’s very hard to use such a wonderful app on such an old device. I mean Netflix does work on things that old. Disney please consider this. Not everyone can or will upgrade a child’s device just so they can watch Disney movies.

First off I love all the amazing movies from the past and The Mandalorian Is soooo good! But recently the customer service has been sub par. On all my devices, as of two days ago after the few months it has been working fine is no longer working when on my home Wifi. Restarted router, uninstall reinstall all apps and support says it’s a WiFi issue. To test that theory I wold start a vid on data then quickly switch to WiFi and it works fine... I would even Fast forward/rewind pause and play to make sure it wasn’t just saved buffer and it all worked just fine. When I would exit out and try to resume the vid it then gave me an error message saying not able to connect... all customer service continues to do is say it is something on my and even after stating the facts then has yet to respond or give any details even requested a call back they said some one would respond in 10 days... My computer can stream just fine when on WiFi when I stream through there website so this is another indicator this is an app issue but no one wants to look into it or address this it seams. If they would make more of an effort I would not write this review. 100 some bucks isn’t a big deal for a year but it’s the principle of lack of accountability and assistance. A few other friends scattered around my town and local towns have had the same issue...

Overall I love Disney plus. There are so many shows/movies to select from that it’s hard for a Disney lover to decide where to start. Since today was launch day I know there will be some kinks that need to be worked out. I just wanted to list some issues or recommendations that could/should possibly be addressed in a future update. I saw one review mention that stuff they were adding to their watchlist wasn’t saving. I ran into that same issue. Another issue I ran into was my auto play wasn’t working. I have that setting turned on but when watching a series it does not automatically play the next episode. I also noticed that an episode was missing from season 1 of the little mermaid series. My recommendations for possible updates are: (1) add a “continue watching” section that shows what I was last watching and didn’t finish. (2)when watching a series have the episodes that users have watched marked in some way that shows they’ve been watched. Currently having to remember what episode I left off on. (3) maybe add a DCOM section so all those are in one place. Overall, I love Disney+ and I’m so excited to keep streaming all my Disney favorites

The app is perfect, but these crazy reviewers are the boneheads ..look people right now there is no feature of “what I watched last “ or history the app would slow down you want that go back to netflix and stay there. Just because you can add 7 people to your account is does not always mean you should. You really trust those 7 people with your account info? Remember only 4 streams allowed and You have should known that you have to have control over these devices. If your password gets changed it will be your fault deal with it. Then you free phone deal will not matter at all. The movies could and will edited if Disney sees fit you should have know this. 4.3 ? No no no 5.5 and nothing else . The app engine is pure and clean cues up easy , logo guides are clear to understand and easy find. Pick Your items then play them from the largest Disney library of gems no worries 🎥🎧🎬 Before anymore stupid comments or ideas come to past here read FQA page please! To anyone else read the fine print know what you paying for people. This pure Disney can not get any better than that nuff said . 🇬🇧🎸🔥

I absolutely love Disney+ it has brought me back to my childhood and that’s a wonderful thing to give to the world right now. All the Disney channel originals i could never find anywhere else is all right here and it makes my heart so full of happiness and nostalgia. But there’s a few issues as others have said. First, why does it have the second movie and not the first one for some titles not all but I have been noticing it with a few movies. Like with National Treasure for example, the first one’s not coming out till April 2020 what was the thought process there?! Second, when you go to rewind a movie with the touch screen in your phone it’s not accurate at all. I’ll go to a certain time take my finger off gently i might add and then it either jumps way ahead or behind of what I actually chose. Third, like others said the continued watching section is terrible why do i have to go back and search for where i was on some movies I’ve never seen, that’s just asking for spoilers just like the rewinding situation. I think with some adjustments you have yourself a truly fantastic app and a gift to the world. Thank you. 🤍

It’s cool that it has older tv shows that I grew up watching, no doubt I love that!, however it doesn’t resume my tv shows, I often times have to look for the exact one I left off at. It’s really annoying. (Especially when you have a crying child!) It also needs the “you just watched this” feature right up front so I don’t have to go searching for it. When I get on to Disney plus it’s always the same movies.. and I’m not interested in those. I want to see only what I’m interested in. That’s the reason why I bought it. Another feature it needs is. “Because you watched this, we suggest you watch that” I’m getting bored of the same things, nothing new is on there. Well not that I know of.... another suggestion that you also separate the “coming soon” movies from the other ones. People can get excited about the up coming year, instead of being supper bummed when they see they have to wait till the month of November in the year 2020 to see the movie or tv shows. I was really upset when I realized I couldn’t watch what I wanted till next Christmas. I’m not to excited about this any more. It’s not a good set up. I feel i was conned out of my money. I bought the year subscription and I wish I hadn’t.

So our family of Disney-lovers find Disney+ to be everything we wanted it to be! Can’t wait for more of the original content to be released, also! I just have a minor suggestion for a future update that would make things a lot easier for us (and I’m sure others). Our son LOVES to watch the Mickey &amp; Friends shorts. So much so, that we re-watch them constantly. However, after an episode is over and it’s continued to auto-play, if we go back to a previously played episode, it stars playing at the credits. There is no “play from the beginning button”. That leaves me scrambling to manually hold down the rewind button. Now it’s not so bad to have to rewind something, but the real problem is once that episode that I rewound is over, it will auto play the next episode and (because it was previously viewed) starts playing that from the credits again! It’s extremely frustrating considering the episodes are only 3-4 minutes long. On the Disney Now app, if the episodes were played to completion, any rewatches go back to the beginning. PLEASE MAKE THIS A FUTURE UPDATE! I fear my sanity and productivity are in jeopardy until this is fixed.
Great Service, Missing One Key Feature

My wife and kids and I love the service so far! There’s tons of stuff for everyone to watch and we’re enjoying showing them the classic movies we watched as kids. The app works quite much better now that they’ve squashed some bugs and added the all important continue watching feature. The app is still not perfect however. After using the app more, I’ve noticed some peculiarities that don’t make much sense. The first is that when someone watches something on their profile, it will often show up on the continue watching list on my profile even though I’ve never watched that show on my profile. This happens quite often with my son’s episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The other weird thing I’ve run into is that Moana can not be found on a child’s profile. This means my 5 year old who loves Moana must have an adult account that is more difficult for her to navigate in order to watch her favorite movie on the service. Overall, we’re very happy both with the service and the app. Once a few minor tweaks are made, I think Disney+ will be able to play ball with the big dogs.

OLD REVIEW: So, I gave this four stars because I do love the app and would love to give it five stars if only this one problem would be fixed. I was initially annoyed about the no “continue watching” feature but with the update that fixed my problem. Or so I thought... when I first got the continue watching update it worked on all of my devices. Unfortunately, now- no matter what device I am on- it restarts the episode that I was on. The continue watching will show me my show and say 7 mins remaining, or something like that, but when I click on it it will load to the beginning of that episode. This is not the worst because I will fast forward to where I was, but I do feel it is an inconvenience and would love for it get fixed. Again I would like to emphasize my love for this app and getting to rewatch all of my favorite Disney shows and movies. Please fix this little bug so I can change my review to five stars. NEW REVIEW: I love the app and have changed my review to five stars because the bug mentioned above was fixed. Thank you Disney+ this app is amazing.

I love this app and have had it for a little while now. All my favorite Disney channel original movies in one place, talk about a childhood dream come true! The only issue I have had that doesn’t seem to have been addressed in the update, is that my watchlist isn’t working right. Currently, it’s missing some shows and movies that I can look up and see that I’ve added to my watchlist already, though it’s not showing up when I open the watchlist. The watchlist is also duplicating the items that do show up on the list. I’m not sure if this is connected to the other problem I noted above or if it is a completely different issue. Obviously, I still love the app and have even recommended it to a few people. I just wanted to mention this issue that I am having as the other reviews I have read didn’t seem to mention this. I hope this is an easy fix, as I do think this app is great. Disney as a company is amazing! I am so grateful that I can watch all the movies and shows I love that are more recent, while also having the option to revisit some old favorites that I grew up watching (and loving).

Okay to start off I’ve never wanted to make a review of anything but this is something I wanna talk about! When they brought this up I was like it’s not like they’ll have Snow White or Crash and Bernstein! But when got the app this morning...🤯! SOMUCH CONTENT! Basically my whole childhood, my siblings childhood, my parents childhood, my Grandparents childhood, and Even my great grandparents childhood! I mean Starting off with Disney! So many TV Shows I can’t find anywhere! So many movies! So many series! And way to many things to even count! Marvel has the OG X-Men y’all! I mean I’m not even kidding! We have some Star Wars! With CLONE WARS!!!!!! And they got some FOX OG’S! Including AVATAR,HOME ALONE, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, THE SIMPSONS, THE SOUND OF MUSIC AND MORE!!!! Take my advice and get it plz y’all! If you don’t like these and like documentaries😒... they got those too with... National Geographic? I’m being honest I don’t really like Nat Geo but HEY THEY STILL GOT IT! But being honest there is some technical difficulties Disney is having so if it says “No Connection” just exit and re-enter it’s no big deal! So take my advise and get this!

We (obviously) enjoy a bunch of the Disney content, and even some of the “original” content (like The Mandalorian) is very well done. However, the app itself leaves a lot to be desired. My two main complaints are: 1. The app always begins playing a show immediately with no buffering, but then, at exactly 20 seconds in, buffers for 5-10 seconds. This is extremely annoying, especially when you’re watching a Pixar short that is only two minutes long. Also, since the update, the app has begun buffering randomly in the middle of programs, sometimes 2-3 times in a row. For reference, we also have Netflix and Britbox, and neither one EVER stops the show at any point to buffer. 2. The lack of a working “continue watching” bar. I know that this bar showed up in the update, but it doesn’t work on either of our devices. The bar is there; it shows the programs we’ve been watching, and how far we’ve progressed into them. But when I tap on one of the programs in the bar, it nearly always restarts the program from the beginning. About once in ten times, it will restart from where we stopped watching, but those aren’t good odds.

Alright, so this is going to be short and sweet. Disney plus is amazing, I use it all the time to watch my favorite movies, and recently I’ve been binge watching the marvel movies. It works out pretty well for me. New episodes come out within a few days (which is pretty awesome), you get to watch anything owned by Disney, and it’s just awesome. (Especially The Mandalorian) But there is one thing that could make it better, and I’ve seen other people make this suggestion too. Disney plus should definitely have a “currently watching” section. It’s the one thing left that I need. Otherwise I have to look up the movie that I’m watching, find the right one, and hope it starts off where I ended. And it does, but I think it’d take a little less time and effort if you put a currently watching section right on the top bar of your home screen. That way I can click the app, scroll down a tiny, tiny little bit, and click the movie or show that I’m watching. So yeah, my suggestion (which you should totally add) would be a currently watching section. Otherwise, Disney plus is basically perfect for me.

Update: So somehow as you watch content it is saved into documents and data. I have no content downloaded within the app but somehow over 6GB of documents and data?? Also it shows multiple episodes downloaded in the storage setting view of the iPhone that aren’t downloaded within the Disney plus app itself. After deleting those episodes that aren’t downloaded but somehow are, there was still over 590MB of documents and data. I deleted and reinstalled the app and it had mere kb of data. As I start watching content again, the documents and data keeps increasing, what gives? I have tons of other streaming apps that don’t do this, it’s a major hassle, please fix! Original review:Lots of things already available. The menus and selection content loads quickly and the playback quality is very good. Also tried it on the Roku and it also looks way better than every other streaming app I have. Things load and begin to play quickly. They have a search function but they also have multiple ways of categorizing so you can get to what you want pretty quickly as well. So far it’s working and looking great, have to see how it does when millions of people are using it at the same time.

The service is off the a great start and I have no doubt that Disney will continue to add more movies, shows, and shorts as it continues. However, while there is a lot of stuff in the service at launch, much of it feels like filler material and some of the things not included can felt. Such as not a single Indiana Jones movie, or the fact that Disney now owns all of Fox’s catalog but only include the Simpsons and avatar. No alien or fox X-men movie? I know these will probably be added later on but I feel like a streaming service that wants to truly compete with other platforms like Netflix should have many of these films already included to form an unbeatable backbone and then continue to support the platform with original content and other new releases after their run in movie theaters. Otherwise you get what we have now, which is a service that has a couple of main classics here and there, and a few originals, but is mostly made up of Disney channel original content and lots of live action D-list filler movies that only someone who grew up with would enjoy watching for nostalgic reasons.
TV shows out of order

For what I use the app for it works fantastic. I have noticed updates being rolled out and see the changes happen which is fantastic. The biggest con I have is the older tv shows are out of order. Watched the new Ducktales and Talespin and the first 2-3 episodes for each are hidden randomly throughout the run. I know it’s a cartoon but it is nostalgic and watching it as an adult and wanting to know why certain things happened would be nice to know at the beginning. Other complaints would be stretching the old Simpsons 4:3 into 16:9. The old Disney cartoons are 4:3 so why not the old Simpsons? The app works well with chromecast. Every now and then the programming will stop playing whether it’s 2 episodes in or 8. It’ll randomly stop. They need to add skip intros to all tv shows like The Mandalorian has. I look forward to the future of this streaming service and can’t wait for the whole MCU to be available. Also, please add more classic Mickey Mouse programming as big blocks. Not individual 6 minutes episodes. I have to search for and stream one at a time. Fix these issues I have pointed out and this will be in my eyes a five star app.
Horribly optimized app

Getting two stars because of this app missing the simplest streaming features out there across all devices. Not being able to easily resume a movie/show gets beyond irritating. Especially when they release a resume feature couple weeks after launch only to find out it’s broken, you have to manually search through the app each time to find what you were watching; find it, hit resume and it simply restarts. Thought it was my device messing up, but same happens on mobile, pc, fire stick and playstation. Don’t understand how such a big company that claims to be the new kings of streaming can’t even manage to have the simplest features work. Playbacks constantly skip where the video freezes and the audio continues. This can last 5-10 seconds, goes in a loading loop and then rewinds back to the spot before it hit the video freeze. This has also been happening since launch and happens quite often. Overall it’s a pretty crappy app that was rushed and never optimized for common use. Great selection but unless you want to deal with a headache trying to watch what you want, i’d wait till Disney decides to fix this app as it feels like a Beta testing.

I have an account and like I didn’t want to be selfish so I let my friends come on it since you can add up to 7 people. The thing is, what if one day I decided I don’t want them on it anymore but they refuse to leave. I can’t do anything abt it except cancel the subscription but then everyone else would be effected by just one person . The owner should be able to have more control. Like the owner can do stuff with other profiles and manage stuff more and ppl who aren’t the owner of it shouldn’t be able to like change or go on other ppls profile unless allowed or something. Like you can go on the owners profile even if your not the owner. The last thing is, I trust my friends so I gave them the password to it so they can login but what if for some reason(I doubt the ppl that are on my account would do this bc they are my closest friends) but one day they could just decided to change the password because even if your not the owner of the account, you can still change the password which isn’t right. But that’s all I have to say
Great selection, but lots of tech issues

I only gave 4 stars because the selection is awesome — there’s something for everyone and every mood. However, I stream Disney plus on my iphone hooked up to my TV and that has presented problems. For one, ANY notification (including phone calls) will cause the picture to pause but the audio still continues. Seldom times the show will catch up and continue, but a majority of the time, I have to restart the app. From there, the issues continue. The show seldom saves where I left off; it restarts and I have to fast forward to where I left off (or the best of my memory). Sometimes it’ll say “oops, can’t play this selection right now,” which is even more annoying because I have to unplug my phone from the adapter then reconnect it. Also, if watching a series, I don’t like it doesn’t automatically start the next episode. Otherwise, as previously mentioned, I love reliving my childhood shows and sharing them with my children. This is priceless. If the tech issues could be resolved, I’d give 5 stars.
App needs work

Your content is there. The app needs work. Profiles need personalization or more than just having a watchlist. For example, there’s no “continue watching” section so hope you know where to find whatever it is you were watching. Also, you can something to your watchlist. Finish it, but without knowing how to manipulate the bugs, remove it from your watchlist. Strolling through all the features, you can click on a show, and even if it’s in your watchlist, it won’t show that it’s in your watchlist, leaving you to believe programs you add to your watchlist aren’t actually there. In regards to manipulating the system to take something off of your watchlist, you have to click add to watchlist to ADD it again, then click it again to remove it. That seems to be the only way to remove a show from your watchlist. And this is a problem on ALL my devices not just mobile devices. This includes the Apple TV, and the firestick app. Disney, y’all are great but with so much content on this service, a person needs a better way to keep track of what’s in their watchlist and what they’ve been watching. Please correct this.
Great content, series pages need work

The amount and quality of the content here is great. However the way older TV series are being handled is inconsistent and pretty rough. Some pre-HD shows are presented in their original 4:3 aspect ratio and look fine, but others for some reason are zoomed in, stretching the image and cropping the top and bottom of the screen which looks terrible, and there is no option to switch. Additionally, nearly all the shows I browsed had every episode listed under one season, which means you can’t look for episodes by season and have to scroll right through dozens of episodes to find what you want. Some episodes are mistitled or misnumbered, meaning they auto play out of the intended viewing order. And if you plan on watching a whole series, it doesn’t appear to save your spot so you have to again scroll through the 50-80 episodes of “season 1” to find where you left off. Hopefully these issues will be addressed soon because the rest of the platform seems great and I am very excited for how much content is available to stream for the first time ever thanks to this platform.

I hate to sound like I’m parroting other reviews, but... I honestly can’t think of another word to describe Disney+ aside from fantastic. From some of the earliest classics that put the name “Walt Disney” on the map, to the legendary pictures that make up the face of the studio and the stream of new films, shows, and other projects, there’s something on here for almost everyone. I understand that at the time of this review, the service is just over a week old, but if there is at least one thing I would like to add to Disney+, it would be the addition of a section dedicated to some of the content that Disney has rights to (and might add to the service) that are geared towards more mature audiences, such as “The X-Files,” “Deadpool,” and other such properties or materials that might not be suitable for younger audiences (in case such a proposition isn’t already in effect). Aside from that suggestion, this is definitely a streaming platform for fans of Disney and beyond.

I was so excited for this app to come out. I have used many streaming services over the years, but have never even come close to experiencing one that is done so incredibly poorly. Even after the updates, I have never watched a solid 10 mins of video without getting an “oops something went wrong” and during those ten minutes the video glitches horribly. I have the fastest internet available, no other apps have problems. I love Disney, I love the ease and comfort of the features on the app, and it is visually attractive. But for a company as large as Disney, it is appalling how horribly the service actually streams video, end it takes me about 7 tries to watch a 1 hour long episode of The Mandalorian, regardless of what device I’m using the app on. Incredibly disappointing that Disney our the bar the lowest it’s ever been. Either they’re trying incredibly hard to not spend the money required to fix it, or there are some people that REALLY need to get fired because I wouldn’t trust them to change the batteries in a remote. Everyone I know has stopped or slowed down using the app for the same reasons, it’s hard to watch such a marvelous idea waste away because it’s being designed by idiots.

I absolutely love having all the movies in one place. The movies from the vault are such a blessing and it’s like I’m reliving my childhood again but the app itself could use a bit of improvement. I love how they offer a variety of section to search in and maybe find a diamond in the rough to watch but then when you do and suddenly get distracted, you lose your movie and oops! You forgot what it was called!! So I definitely definitely think it needs a “continue watching” section. Also I heard about some of the older classics being ban being of the culture it depicts... I think this is not smart at all and hope it does NOT happen. Yes those movies depict a culture of a time that is no longer relevant, but it’s still history. What’s the good in censoring history when it’s a fact that it happened? Those movies are just what they are, classic. Definitely, most definitely, should not be put back away. Over all love the app but maybe they could make some improvements!

Let me start like so many reviews by saying that the amount of content is out of this world. I will just say I look forward to updates on this app. 1.) I would like a way to mark what episodes I’ve watched already in a series. My memory isn’t good enough to do this for long seeing as my mind is filled with the needs of my cats. 2.) I would like a “last watched” section to easily remind me what I was watching before my cats got into a major fight and I went running from my comfy chair to save my poor fat cat from her distress inflicted by my sleek sporty male cat. 3.) When my lap is being occupied by a sleeping cat, I don’t often have hands to touch my phone between episodes and since the auto play option isn’t working between episodes, poor fat cat is having to move once again. While the app is working well for my cat’s diet and fitness plan, I think these slight modifications would make it more cat lady friendly. And yes, if you did read this all the way through, the first thing we watched was Aristocats.

This app has all the old and new Disney including all the other major companies like Marvel and Star Wars. It didn’t have new releases but I will hope that they will be available here before release on Red box and other sites after they leave the box office. The reason I am giving three stars is there needs to be improvements made and this is a new app. There is no place to stop and save in the middle of shows and movies. It also does not tell you what you have already watched, so it is hard to pick up unless you remember yourself. I also wish they had a “currently watching” tab included with the “my watchlist” just to make the app easier to navigate. That being said I have always loved Disney and this app is a great new way to rewatch all of my older favorites that I didn’t have easier access to before this platform. Continue improving on this app Disney and there will have more people subscribed than it already does now. I recommend this product highly as it is reasonably priced as well for the amount of content you are given, and also has multiple profile options.

I am not giving 5 stars for a couple of reasons... First, there isn’t a “recently watched” or “continue watching” area in the home screen. Every time I want to continue watching where I left off, I have to go to my profile and then to my watch list and select from there, which brings me to my second issue. If you are watching a tv series, you select the series you’re watching from your watch list, then you have to scroll down past each episode and hopefully remember which episode you’ve left off on, because if you just click the play button at the top without going to the actual episode, it starts at the very first episode and very first season. Also, unlike Netflix, if you’ve watched an episode, it doesn’t show you in some way (a progress bar or check mark) that you’ve already seen that episode. Other than those 2 things, so far I am enjoying Disney+! I love Disney, and I am curious and excited to check out the “through the years” of Mickey Mouse!

Let me start off by saying this is truly is a beautiful app, and well worth the wait for the sheer amount of titles that Disney has graced us with. That being said, the initial glitches and hiccups were definitely to be expected with the overwhelming number of first-time users. However, the app is still very well designed and all encompassing, while still leaving plenty of room for future growth. I would like to see a “Continue Watching” section (emulating similar streaming apps) as I find it time-consuming to be continuously searching for what I was watching rather than having it conveniently placed on top of the list at launch. The saving grace to this minor flaw is that the app does allow for auto play, so you don’t have to go back and fast-forward to where you were previously watching. In summary, Disney + is highly anticipated app that lives up to most expectations, and can be easily improved with consumer feedback within the coming months.

Overall the content is great! There are some concerns about the app though that I hope gets fixed. Here are a few: 1) there needs to be a continue watching section so you don’t have to re-search the movie or show you were watching and have to remember which episode you were on, 2) if you’ve added something to your watchlist it should show that if you click on it again and should have a way to remove it from the list after watching, and 3) the “recommended for you” category doesn’t seem to change and is showing the same stuff even after watching multiple things so I do not believe it takes into consideration what you seem interested in. All of these also make it seem useless to have separate profiles if a single person’s specific shows are not going to show up as continue watching or recommended. Again love that I have all of this Disney content now, but would also love to see improvement in the app itself!

The content is great. The UI is relatively friendly on both IOS and AppleTV. However, why is there not an option to resume play or to start over when you pick a movie? Having a young child we watch the same movies. Over. And over. Being able to restart from the beginning for the 90th viewing of Little Mermaid would be nice to be done at the touch of a button instead of having to pause and rewind. Also, why no chapter skip/chapter select feature to skip automatically to that one scene that the kids just have to watch repeatedly? It feels like I’m reliving my childhood not only in movies that are being viewed but also in how I’m viewing them since it’s akin to watching on VHS. If they can get these small issues resolved, which should arguably have been there at launch, it will be a 5* review. PS, Mandalorian is great! Update: the above issues for restart and resume have already been addressed. Chapter select still lacking though.

Disappointing. There are so many little things that other platforms have improved on over the years, how did Disney not check out the competition and get a jump start. The app is overly simple with very little ability to navigate. You constantly have to navigate back the the home screen and then step by step to your destination. The ‘continue watching’ list (in my opinion the most important space in a streaming app) tends to not show up; and when it does you have no ability to open the show’s page (thus allowing for episode selection). There is no skip to next episode button. No episode selection while in video. No tracker to show what you’ve previously watched (to know what episode your on). And difficult navigation to your own watchlist. The app is great for browsing and that’s about it, but since most people have a good understanding of what Disney has to offer this isn’t all that important. I love having access to all this content but that’s not what Disney+ is, it’s an experience and it’s lacking.

Download, login, and browsing happened with perfection... the first surprise. Then the content, WOW. I knew they had to offer a lot since the claims being made by Disney prior to launch were quite bold... and they weren’t kidding, the library is comprehensive, extensively built starting with the very 1st Mickey Mouse film, and including practically everything you could possibly want from Disney (a few movies or offerings have an upcoming release date if they’re not currently available, and I certainly expected a few titles to be withheld for many possible reasons, so not disappointed about that). I’m personally very excited to check out all the National Geographic shows &amp; movies that I browsed through, and watch a whole lot of movies I loved as a child &amp; haven’t encountered for 30 years! But AS FOR MY YOUNG CHILD, this will now bring a lot of happiness to his life as we get to share all the incredible Disney movies with him now!! YAY!!!!! Thank you Disney!

My friend told me about this and I thought I could give it a try. I asked my mom and she checked it out. And it was $6.99 a month! A really good deal for Disney movies, considering that Disney has a long history for classics and favorites. We bought it and I rapidly went to search for Gravity Falls. All of the episodes were there. I loved that there are some movies that aren&#39;t on Netflix and are in Disney+. The movies have a remarkable sound quality and great visuals, even though some of these movies were published in the 1930s. All of them have a variety of blockbuster films to choose from and they release earlier than Netflix does. It would take a few days or months to get a movie on to their page but with Disney+, you could admission your favorite films that were released only a few days back. Not only Disney movies, but the Star Wars series and the new and original trilogy, documentaries, Marvel movies, and finally the Simpsons.

Just downloaded the app. I loved how clean and simple the design is. Disney’s enormous library is immediately apparent. From Marvel to Snow White, it’s all hear. As a parent of two, I really like the streamlined nature of the kids section. I was prepared to add every Toy Story movie on my own, but instead there is an entire curated collection made by Disney for easy discovery. Having all your favorite Disney movies in one place will turn digging through binders of DVDs to find your copy of Hocus Pocus at Halloween an absolute breeze. With Mandalorian already out and Marvel with a lineup of original series to come, Disney there for the parents too. All I ask is that a back button of some sort be added to the top left of page for the movies you tap on. The little X in the top right is ok, but it being on the left on smartphones is way more natural, even a drag and remove would be good. Fantastic showing from Disney otherwise. 5 stars

First let me make it plain that I love Disney+. However, there are things that are needed, and I can’t figure out why they were ignored. First, WHY is there not a “continue watching” or “recently viewed” section??? It’s very annoying that we have to search for what we were watching. Secondly, when I’m setting in my chair trying to find something to watch, it can be very hard to see the title from across the room. When I hover over the movie, there should be some sort of pop up that helps me see the selection title more clearly, the rating and a short snapshot of what the selection is about. Thirdly, when I pick up watching the movie from where I left off, it says “play” instead of “continue watching”. I realize you’re trying to be different than your competitors but there are some things they’ve been doing right for a really long time. Do what they’re doing and STOP TRYING TO REINVENT THE WHEEL! I’ve paid for a year’s subscription but will probably cancel if these simple things aren’t fixed. By the way, I took one star off for each of the three complaints listed.
Great, but one slight issue

I have been using this app for the last few weeks and I can say that I absolutely love it. However, I have experienced one slight problem. When you turn forward or backward the show or movie you are watching by 10 seconds, it gets stuck loading on the iPhone 8. This prevents you from pausing it or turning it forward farther. You then have to exit the show or movie you are watching and re-enter it. This is more of a minor inconvenience than a complaint but I still feel that it should be addressed. Also Both my kids and I used to love watching dog with a blog together on Disney channel amongst other things, as well as some distinct short films like John Henry, Feast, The Little Match Girl, and Tick Tock Tale, however I have been unable to find them on Disney+. While I acknowledge that this comment will most likely be unacknowledged by most everyone, I would love it if these changes were addressed to.

Skip 10 seconds back bug

Anytime I backup 10 seconds the on screen controls go away and I just get a spinning circle. Only way to fix it is to exit the show and go back in. Any plans to fix this bug? Love Disney plus but the bug is super irritating.

when i stream on my roku express+ , if i let an episode autoplay it freezes up for a minute , and then the whole app completely crashes and restarts my whole roku.... also, when i click the “rewind 10s” button on my ipad, a loading sign comes up making it where you can’t pause or play or use the 10 second buttoned for atleast the rest of the episode i’m watching. i love the content on here tho

On my phone it streams perfectly no pauses but as soon as it’s connected to my chrome cast it pauses and after a few seconds resumes. Can’t be a internet issue because it wouldn’t stream well on my phone either
Decent but downloads are pointless

Overall the app works pretty good and many of the bugs have been fixed. However, downloads no longer work without an internet connection which defeats the purpose of downloading. Unfortunately a lot of the time that I am able to watch is time that I don’t have any internet so it was great before being able to download and watch later but lately every time I attempt to watch my videos without internet I get an error message so I just have to watch Netflix instead. I hope that they are able to resolve this issue soon.

I really dislike Disney I understand that you are try to appeal to the younger generation but please understand that I 14 I still have a lot of kid in me I just ask the you recreate the movies and tv show’s that we love such as “ let it shine ,wizards of waverly place and ,camp rock and many more “. I know you don’t care about comments like this because you have to much money to care about a kid but we all want to make the world better but without love and laughter and hope of happy life how can we live and make life better . And if by any chance you remake them please use that money to make good content and not have them end up like All That because believe it or not I cry thinking about my childhood being gone and I’m on 14 but think you for you time and good day .
Order of episodes needs to be fixed

Phineas and Ferbs episodes are mixed up, the actual first episode of the show is in the eighth spot on this app... I don’t know about the rest of the episodes but if this happened I’m sure the same happened to the rest of the episodes. (Edit) I’ve watched more of the season and all of them are jumbled...

This is strictly for the iPad version of the app. I signed up for Disney+ the instant I could though my Apple TV. It’s everything I’ve ever wanted from Disney. My Disney+ account was started and is maintained through my AppleID because I signed up through my Apple TV / ITunes subscription. I downloaded the IPad app afterward and can’t get access to any of the content. It wants me to long in with an email ( which I never created because it tied to my AppleID ) or start a free trial and by default created a 2nd Disney+ account. Why can’t I log into the iPad app with my Apple ID? Super frustrating. If I attempt to delete the app, IOS will ask me if I want to maintain my Disney+ subscription. Which of course I do, I just can’t watch anything on my iPad, because it won’t let me log in. Hoping someone sees this as my internet search for answers was fruitless.

Old Simpsons in 16:9 aspect ratio only? Shame.

Overall satisfied with the app, but the old seasons of the Simpsons have been reformatted in a 16:9 aspect ratio to fit modern TVs. That means the original 4:3 frame is chopped and this isn’t how the show was meant to look. Some visual gags are even ruined because part of the frame is missing due to this reformatting. It’s a well known defect. FX solved this problem with their FXNOW app, which let users choose between 4:3 and 16:9 when viewing The Simpsons. The Disney+ app should have had a similar feature at launch and amazingly still doesn’t have it. Various publications have called this out. The Simpsons is one of the marquee Disney+ titles, and Disney has spared no expense and has done everything possible to make sure you know they have this show, but in 16:9 it isn’t quite the same Simpsons you know and love. It needs to be available in 4:3. Other than that, they did a nice job.

Amazing app with all of the Disney classics &amp; old timer favorites. But I ALWAYS have streaming issues while using the app. This is never an issue while streaming Netflix or Prime Video to my tv via Google Chrome. Whenever I try to stream Disney+ through my Google Chrome, it frequently pauses to buffer and load the movie/show. Not impressed. I will probably cancel my subscription because the is the only way to watch it, besides on my phone..

I really love that Disney + is now a thing. There are so many old Tv show that are on here that makes me feel nostalgic, and originals that I also enjoy watching. The only issue I have with it is the watchlist. It has multiple of the same title, and sometimes the show or movie won’t be added, and it’s a little annoying. But other than that this is an awesome app.

I am not discontinuing my Disney plus service until you apply better security measures. My younger daughter can still not watch things like Guardians of the Galaxy like my older son can. And I until there is a safe guard for that I will no longer participate in your streaming services. I know the service is still new but frankly yours is the ONLY one without added security measures (proper ones anyway) and therefore the only one I do not subscribe too. Please fix. Honestly you’re Disney. There’s no reason why this shouldn’t already be in place.

I love the app and how it has even the most obscure Disney movies to watch, and for the most part the app works amazingly and is very aesthetic. I am having troubles switching profiles meaning the it won’t let me access the other profiles sometimes, so can’t get to (my own) watchlist or resume watching something. Also while in the middle of watching something it won’t let me pause or go back etc, just shows a buffering sign. All in all a great app but please fix these bugs!!

We’re a few days into the 7day free trial and so far we’re not liking it... we still haven’t been able to watch a full movie...a few minutes into the movie it will stop and restart, black out, the picture with pause and the audio will keep playing, or it’ll just say something went wrong and say to pick another movie... as far as I’m concerned, this app has been nothing up problem after problem and I have updated. I see everyone rating this app almost perfect but from everything my household has experienced with it, I gave a 3 just because of the movies I can almost watch

The sad part is, Disney doesn’t own everything. No anime. There’s a lot of stuff it is missing. But Disney only puts on stuff that is theirs there. Hi, I have been using Disney+ since the day it came out and I absolutely love it. My only problem is that some of my favorite shows aren’t up there such as Dog with a Blog, Fish Hooks, Sonny with a Chance, and Corey in the House. The fast forward feature is not good and show be quicker with a preview screen more like netflix or other apps. It is very very slow to fast forward and needs to be improved. There is also no increase in the fast forward speed (2x, 4x, etc.).

When watching on PS4, the app will freeze the screen about 30 seconds into anything I play, while the audio continues to play. Then the whole show will reset to when it first froze. It’s been happening for months on everything including the shorts. It’s the worst way to deal with lag. I don’t have this issue streaming on my ps4 on any other services. We have high speed internet and and wired in not with WiFi.

I’ve been using Disney+ on my iPad since December and, overall this app is absolutely great. It has all the movies/shows for me to watch everyday. There is no bugs to me for to complain about its a BIG step up from Disney now. Plus Disney+ has all the classics like Aladdin, Cinderella, and much much more. So that’s why I give this app a 5 star rating. Disney+ has ALL of it. It’s got Star Wars, avengers, and marvel. And ya, but that’s only small parts about why I like Disney plus. Disney+ has an adult profile, and a kids profile. The only difference between them is that the kids profile has PG movies/TV-PG and G movies/TV-G and adult profiles have all the way up to PG-13.(or if Disney owns R movies (which I doubt) that’s basically it for this review.

The only problem I truly have noticed and kinda have a problem with is some of the shows on the app have some episodes missing or not in order which I know it’s hard to everything perfect and everything it’s just kinda annoying but I’m just trying to watch the shows and then it just skips to a different timeline and I notice it says it’s supposed to be next but normally it shouldn’t. Also I notice some shows don’t have a part 2 after a part 1, like it skipped in the timeline. I understand its hard because it’s such a big platform and people make mistakes I just wanted to say this.

There still seems to be a lag issue between all these issues like it play right sometimes like the show or movie isnt synced right like movie play Audio and visual all lags and sometimes the app quits all together because it can’t respond properly. I have loved introducing my 3 year old to the classics and newer movies (his creative play has increased since watching a Toy Story!). However, the app got accidentally deleted from a hand me down iPad that he uses and now I cannot install it back on there due to the fact that the OS is older. Other streaming apps offer backwards compatibility on older versions; I would gladly take the glitches on an older version so that it could be on his iPad as I refuse to buy a 3 year old a brand new one.

Update ver 1.2.2: Now I finally get to watch my favorite Disney films, some which I have not seen since the days of VHS. Great Content, most in 4K HDR🤓. Mandalorian alone is worth the price. However the player still needs work. Scrubbing works just ok, but 10s jumps are hit and miss. Also, the auto play next episode feature does not work on many Disney Channel shows. So for those that like to each the same shows over again, be prepared for some frustration. You will need to manually scrub every episode back to the start in order to watch it a second time. Otherwise you will just be watching the end credits again😢.

I don’t have WiFi at home so I download titles to watch later by using a screen mirroring hdmi cable with my phone. Disney + is the only video app I have that doesn’t support this, rendering it utterly useless to me.

Disney plus is a great app

I mainly use my PS4 to watch Disney plus, but one of my biggest problems is the fact that I can’t turn my controller off while I’m watching a show/movie. If I turn my controller off while watching something it’ll stay paused until I turn it back on and press play. My other streaming services like Netflix and YouTube let me turn the controller and whatever I’m watching continues to play but I have to keep my controller on the entire time and it drains the battery down. This is a big issue when u wanna binge a show or if you’re watching a 2 hour long movie and a the light from the controller is in the corner of your eye. Another problem is the fact that it buffers or lags a lot. The screen will pause but the sound will keep going for like 10 seconds and the it’ll rewind back to the part which is not that bad because I’m used to it now; or it’ll just have the loading screen forever and finally say something went wrong and I’ll have to close the app and reload it again. If you can fix these problems that’ll be AMAZING and I will gladly give you five stars.

Great application for streaming only thing that lacks is autoplay when watching on Apple TV, shows that have episodes, my 2 year old screams her head off when the show ends but the next episode starts, this has been a standard feature on every other streaming app.

This app is great for only like 7 bucks a month! And has a lot of Disney movies to watch anywhere you want to but if you can speed up toy story 4 because it’s a cool movie that wanted to watch and yah I never watched it yet so please if the owner is reading this please add the movie But it’s great other wise!!! It’s fine if you can’t add the movie! But if you can’t... at least tell me I’ll be waiting!!

I would LOVE to give this a 5 star rating. But there is no option to sign out of all devices. I contacted Disney + about this and each time they have told me the option is not availing as of yet?? How is this possible? Also the resume playing feature is spotty at best. About 80% of the time, it starts the movie over. Very annoyed that I paid for a year and can’t cancel now. Step it up Disney

Buffering. Always buffering. It’s so annoying to watch movies and tv shows that randomly and frequently pause to buffer. Netflix figured it out - Hulu figured it out. Please do the same.

I really enjoy this app because it has all my favorites from my childhood, but all it needs is a couple of improvements. 1. If I’m watching a show I would like for it to show which episodes I’ve already watched because sometimes I skip over episodes and I would love to know which ones I’ve seen. But it’s confusing because there isn’t any indication on which I’ve seen. 2. I’ve noticed in my watchlist the movies/shows are repeated many times which can be confusing. 3. I would like to access the episodes on the main menu then going through my watchlist then looking for it. I would like to access it in a faster way.

I love the app and all the available titles but this particular app when streaming across my phone uses a ton of Data even when I am on WiFi it has a glitch where it still stream on my data plan. I only have a problem with this app. My Netflix and other streaming apps do not use near as much data.

I’ve had the Disney app for almost a month now, and I really love it. My only draw backs are that there have been times were it’s constantly buffering or there is an error message. Am sure these things will be fixed in time. I also wish it offered more of the live action movies that have come out like Cinderella, etc. Other than that I do enjoy it.

I’ve been using the Disney plus app ever since the app came out (3 wks), and I’ve been having one issue after another. The app is a very amazing app with loads of Disney favourites and classics for the whole family to enjoy, from my childhood and I have had a great experience with using it. But, there have been a few bumps in the road when it came to me using the app on my PS4 console. I’ll experience problems such as; when I go to rewind something, the movie/show I’m watching will back out and show what will play next. This will not happen when i go to dast forward - only when I go to rewind something. I’ve also noticed very recently that when I add things to my watch list — what ever’s on the bottom will disappear and will no longer be accessable to me. Meaning, I’ll still be able to watch it, but it will no longer be in my Watchlist and this upsets me a lot. I am very happy that I now have something other than and better than Netflix. My only issue is the rewind feature (mainly on my game console) and the Watchlist adding ability. Aside from all the issues and technical difficulties I&#39;ve been facing, the app is very beautiful - bright, colourful, great movies and shows, huge variety of content for the entire family and even the price is affordable and to my liking. I do highly recommend this app to all who enjoys Disney. Just make sure to be aware of the problems I&#39;ve faced I&#39;ve you decide to use it on your video game console or even your television.

I love the content on Disney+ overall, and it’s so amazing to have all of the classic content I grew up with at my fingertips. Much of the content is great and can be watched over and over again, with tons of hours of streaming available for any major Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, or National Geographic fan. With that being said, the app is in need of some major updates. The first and most glaring issue is the “Continue Watching” section or “Watch Again” functionality. With Disney, much of the content is self explanatory and is simple to find because we know what it is called. But for the other stuff, such as National Geographic, it can be hard to identify what I watched already or what I need to continue. Please add this function as soon as possible! Another issue is the inability to view show or movies synopsis without clicking into the show on Apple TV. For instance, when you pull up Gordon Ramsay Uncharted on the Apple TV app, you can mouse over it and get a picture of Gordon Ramsay standing in front of an ocean front. The problem is, what is the show about? Is Gordon Ramsay going to chart the ocean? Is he going to cook in uncharted territories? Will he take the ocean? Who knows! With much of the content, this is easily seen past because the content is already familiar, but with new content and more things being added I think this is a definite need to make selecting a show more interesting and simple.

I’ve been using app on iOS phone/iPad/Apple TV since it’s release. One of my biggest headaches and frustrations with the app is if you are watching something, close the app out for a little bit and go to reopen one of three things will occur. 1) app will say “oops seems to be an error” something to that effect and you will have to completely close out the app and reopen. Then whatever you are watching is reset to the very beginning. 2) when you turn your device back on whatever you were watching just starts playing in the background with the app not open. When you open the app you can’t even turn it off by the show/movie isn’t playing, but yet you can hear the audio in the background...so again you have to completely close the app and reopen to yet again be at the very beginning of the show/movie. 3) when you reopen the app the show/movie is showing open still...however when you click play you get the “opps seems to be an error” an message...and you guessed you have to close app completely to reopen and have your show/movie restarted at the very beginning. Another big issue I have is if you try to rewind by clicking the rewind button the on screen buttons disappear and you get the “working” spinning wheel. The only way to make it go away is to touch the time bar. I have numerous more issues with the app...if it was not for the excellent content I would have deleted everything. Please fix the app though.
Major sound quality and loading issues

I’ve been using this app for a couple weeks and every movie I’ve watched will go from normal sound level to a barely audible level and then back to normal about every 10-20 minutes in a never ending cycle for the entirety of the movie. There’s nothing I can do to fix it, if I rewind then it will go back to normal volume but then it will switch to low volume at the exact second it did before I rewound. Its EXTREMELY frustrating and I don’t understand why it’s a thing. Also if you rewind or fast forward using the 10second buttons it will often freeze for a few seconds and when it unfreezes there will still be a loading circle where the play/pause button is make pause/fast forward/rewind unavailable unless you use the controls on your headphones. These issues should not be a thing when dealing with a company with the resources that Disney has. Please fix this bc it makes using your service unbearable. The last frustrating thing is that they don’t even have all the marvel movies on their platform. Every other streaming service gives access to ALL of their original content. I paid for this service so I could watch all of the marvel movies in order and I find myself having to go to other platforms to find certain marvel movies. They should have had every movie available at launch but instead they make us wait until as long as 3 months for certain movies even tho other services have them now.

I love this app! I’m a Disney fan through and through and even have several Disney trivia games. This app is great for me and people like me who appreciate the classic animations, newer live actions, and everything in between. My only recommendation is for some new features that I think would add a lot for the die hard fans of Disney. These two features are a chronological order and a randomized, which I will better describe below. I know there are dates with each movie and online websites, but it would be interesting to see a sort feature designated for when the movies come out. This way this wishing to cross all the Disney movies off their list, may do so. This will be especially handy, since not all the movies or tv shows owned by Disney are not yet on Disney plus, but can evolve with the development and addition of more items. The randomizes, which would be the one I would like to see the most, could be used for just movies, just tv shows, or all items listed. All it would generate after being selected is a random title from the list of all available. This would help those who can’t decide what to watch, but would also like to see something new. It would also help get exposure for some less well known titles on the app. These are both purely recommendations on my end, and other than seeing these, I love the app and where it’s at. Thank you Disney!

Overall I like Disney+. I think it is a great idea and it is wonderful to have all the movies in one place. As much as I love it, I would only give this app a 4 out of 5 star review because of a few things I have come across when having this app for a week or so now. My first thing I would point out is the no “Continue watching” bar. This is a common thing that people have pointed it to me and I have realized is a inconvenience as well. I don’t like how you have to go back and find what you were watching to continue watching it (if I even remember what I was watching). My next thing that I have found is that the movie may seem that it is on the platform but is not actually. I have realized this with some of the Marvel movies. I was looking forward to watching all of them in chronological order. As I was saving them to my “watch later” bar, I relived that even though it may seem that they are on the platform they may not come on till later in the year. I was disappointed as why would they seem like they have it on and it is not actually there. My suggestion is to have a place where all the movies or shows that are coming soon are and they are separated from the movies and shows are that are already on the platform. These are a few of my suggestions that I would greatly appreciate were reviewed.

I waited for a while before subscribing from Disney Plus for a few bugs to get worked out. Overall I am happy but there are a couple improvements I wish they would work on. First, when trying to rewind a movie with the 10 second rewind button, it usually only works once on my iPad. I have to scroll with my finger to go back, then I also get another push of the 10 second rewind button only to repeat the scrolling... I have not tried the forward button but imagine the same problem. If that is the worse problem I have with bugs then I feel they are headed in the right direction. It is a very minor annoyance for me. The other thing I wish was that Disney had more of their 50’s, 60’s and 70’s live films available. There are many I want to watch again and are not available yet. Hopefully, Disney will continue to add more movies every so often. Monthly would be perfect. I also wish there were more options for breaking down what movies or shows to choose from by preference. I like live filmed older family movies from 3 generations. Sometimes I would like to know more about the stars of the film and what other Disney films they were in, even if the films are not available yet. But, I imagine in time many changes and improvements will be made.

I love how they have ALL the Disney Chanel Originals which was the biggest thing I was wanting. I’ve only been exploring for a little while but it has sooo much. I am frustrated with not having a “currently watching” list though, that is a pretty necessary thing when I stop watching for a bit I don’t want to have to re-search for my show. That is the only reason it is not 5 stars. One last thing is I’ve read that some older movies may be censored due to racial or ethnic jokes/slurs or whatever. I really hope they DO NOT do this because that is not only changing beloved movies and shows it is an attempt to alter history. Whether it is approved of or not in today’s society it is a fact that people thought differently in former years and it shows in how they made everything from film to art to books. If there is concern on how it will affect today’s children then it should be seen as a conversation point not something to remove, and if it offends adults then they have the right not to watch it same as we all do for anything. If censoring must be done then make it optional so that those who want to watch the shows in their entirety can freely do so. Having a commentary or intro series for each explaining the societal and cultural environment of the time would be welcome

Addendum: They added a continue watching and a recommended for you. Increased to 4 stars, now just waiting for new content to see how it goes. I got this app for the bew star wars stuff coming out which is awesome. And it has things from the vault, old cartoons. It has sub sections: star wars/disney/marvel etc. that being said. Theirs things to work on. Theirs no continue watching, you need to either add it to your current watch to the watchlist or search every time. And it wont always remember where you left off especially for shows itll just replay ep 1 however i havent had this issue with movies, it remembers my place most times. It freezes often requiring you to close and reopen the app(ps4) havent had freeze issues on tablet. Itll also freeze and then go back a minute replaying things as it tries to correct itself. The current library is very limited to older disney movies. As i believe other streaming oroviders have current contracts for certain movies they prolly wont be able to add them to disney+ till other hulu/netflix movies are done with their contracts example is a limited marvel movie selection. They have plans to add more shows/movies so i think itll be like netflix where they add and remove shows and movies. When its less buggy I’ll prolly give it 4-5 stars at that time.

I LOVE this app and have really enjoyed introducing my kiddos to all of the classics! I feel like I am a kid again and am in 7th heaven when I come home and ALL of the Disney movies are just waiting for me! My kids love it and everyone has a new favorite show. All of our other streaming services have officially been forgotten so thank you Disney for saving my hard earned money and for putting all of the most amazing movies in one place!! Please do not remove older shows due to older views and fear of offending people. I love all Disney movies and appreciate them for what they were and acknowledge that views have drastically changed over the decades. Some items may be offensive, even to me as a African American woman but as so many other have pointed out these are better used as talking points for our children. We cannot alway run from the offensive history that we have, it happened, and it is better to learn from it than pretend like it has always been perfect (which it is far from perfect today). Also, I really hope we can an area that shows what we are “currently watching” and when I open up the movie it could have the bar that shows how much was completed. I know we have a “watchlist” but it doesn’t help having to search each time.

I use Disney plus all the time to watch all of my favorite Disney shows and movies. There are a lot of problems that will HAVE to be figured out! But the one that upsets me the most, actually two or more: one; if I switch devices it will often forget where I was in an episode and restart it from the beginning forcing me to skip to where I left off. Also unlike a lot of other streaming platforms, there is no PROGRESS BAR per episode, to show how far you have watched through an episode. If you open the show it will not automatically place you in the season you are watching, you have to go and choose season and scroll to the correct one. On the mobile app there is no way to view episodes if you click on the resume watching box, unlike a lot of other platforms! My mobile device will also often not automatically play the next episode, when I was a kid I dreamed of the day it would automatically play the next episode and guess what everyone else has figured it out! I like the blue circle around the play button about 5 seconds, but it is often not there! So frustrating! I like the idea and content but the curtain should have been held as we say in show business, before release!

So my family has gotten this and it is a great app! But the only thing is a minor bug. So I was bringing our iPad on a car trip, and before we went, I downloaded some episodes of my favorite Disney TV show so I could watch them offline in the car, and I stared watching them on the way to our carpool mates, and I noticed that it wasn’t as smooth as it was supposed to be... So I just thought, “Oh, this happens all the time with Netflix, so it shouldn’t be a big deal with this. I can fix it later.” So we dropped the iPad off at our house, and a few hours later, we came home, and I started to watch some more of the show, and it was still... Grainy, if you know what I mean? So I went to my dad and asked if he could fix it, but he didn’t know how, so I tried restarting the app, but it wasn’t smooth still. I tried restarting the whole iPad, but it still wouldn’t fix. So I finally figured that if I delete the app and then get it back again, it would be fixed. And we signed in again, and it worked that time... Quite an annoying situation, but it was... Kind of an “ easy” fix, but maybe you guys could fix this problem for an update. Thank you for your time! Fan

Just kidding.. but really Disney+ may be a competitor to Netflix but since I started my free trial &amp; now Verizon promotion subscription - my family &amp; I have been watching Disney+ non-stop. Of course being that this is a new app there are some small bugs but nothing that isn’t going to deter a Disney fan from loving this app anyway! Some of the movies listed aren’t available until certain dates like January 1, 2020 or sometime in April but it’s not all of the movies and I think for the most part most the hit movies are available to watch. It would be nice to have an open platform with all the movies available but you know what? For only $6.99 a month you can’t beat that. Thank you Disney for being a millennial-friendly subscription - all your movies especially Pixar have grown with my generation in mind. We appreciate you! If you have a Verizon unlimited plan definitely enroll in the Disney+ promotion it is so worth it not only for those of you who have children but sometimes us adults need some Disney magic in our lives as well - pretty sure Walt Disney himself said something of that sort at one point. Don’t come for me if he didn’t but I’m pretty sure he did :)

Here is the thing, I love Disney, my family loves Disney. Everyone young and old loves Disney. I think it’s an amazing app, with some even better features, and yes it has a bunch of glitches (which I’m not stressing about because in time those would be fixed), there are some things missing, (again could be fixed in the future, maybe something’s just need to be developed better, whatever the case may be). Those things don’t bother me. This is what I don’t like...,, ...The majority of the people who’ll be using this app are people who aren’t tech savvy or children. They aren’t always using the most up to date device or software, some children that are using Disney plus (which o can attest to) are children using gen 3 iPads. Or iPhone 4s. Things that are Easy in the hands of children. But unfortunately the app doesn’t support those devices, as they are too old for use. It would be fantastic if it was, I think they would have a lot more viewership but at this rate it’s very hard to use such a wonderful app on such an old device. I mean Netflix does work on things that old. Disney please consider this. Not everyone can or will upgrade a child’s device just so they can watch Disney movies.

First off I love all the amazing movies from the past and The Mandalorian Is soooo good! But recently the customer service has been sub par. On all my devices, as of two days ago after the few months it has been working fine is no longer working when on my home Wifi. Restarted router, uninstall reinstall all apps and support says it’s a WiFi issue. To test that theory I wold start a vid on data then quickly switch to WiFi and it works fine... I would even Fast forward/rewind pause and play to make sure it wasn’t just saved buffer and it all worked just fine. When I would exit out and try to resume the vid it then gave me an error message saying not able to connect... all customer service continues to do is say it is something on my and even after stating the facts then has yet to respond or give any details even requested a call back they said some one would respond in 10 days... My computer can stream just fine when on WiFi when I stream through there website so this is another indicator this is an app issue but no one wants to look into it or address this it seams. If they would make more of an effort I would not write this review. 100 some bucks isn’t a big deal for a year but it’s the principle of lack of accountability and assistance. A few other friends scattered around my town and local towns have had the same issue...

Overall I love Disney plus. There are so many shows/movies to select from that it’s hard for a Disney lover to decide where to start. Since today was launch day I know there will be some kinks that need to be worked out. I just wanted to list some issues or recommendations that could/should possibly be addressed in a future update. I saw one review mention that stuff they were adding to their watchlist wasn’t saving. I ran into that same issue. Another issue I ran into was my auto play wasn’t working. I have that setting turned on but when watching a series it does not automatically play the next episode. I also noticed that an episode was missing from season 1 of the little mermaid series. My recommendations for possible updates are: (1) add a “continue watching” section that shows what I was last watching and didn’t finish. (2)when watching a series have the episodes that users have watched marked in some way that shows they’ve been watched. Currently having to remember what episode I left off on. (3) maybe add a DCOM section so all those are in one place. Overall, I love Disney+ and I’m so excited to keep streaming all my Disney favorites

The app is perfect, but these crazy reviewers are the boneheads ..look people right now there is no feature of “what I watched last “ or history the app would slow down you want that go back to netflix and stay there. Just because you can add 7 people to your account is does not always mean you should. You really trust those 7 people with your account info? Remember only 4 streams allowed and You have should known that you have to have control over these devices. If your password gets changed it will be your fault deal with it. Then you free phone deal will not matter at all. The movies could and will edited if Disney sees fit you should have know this. 4.3 ? No no no 5.5 and nothing else . The app engine is pure and clean cues up easy , logo guides are clear to understand and easy find. Pick Your items then play them from the largest Disney library of gems no worries 🎥🎧🎬 Before anymore stupid comments or ideas come to past here read FQA page please! To anyone else read the fine print know what you paying for people. This pure Disney can not get any better than that nuff said . 🇬🇧🎸🔥

I absolutely love Disney+ it has brought me back to my childhood and that’s a wonderful thing to give to the world right now. All the Disney channel originals i could never find anywhere else is all right here and it makes my heart so full of happiness and nostalgia. But there’s a few issues as others have said. First, why does it have the second movie and not the first one for some titles not all but I have been noticing it with a few movies. Like with National Treasure for example, the first one’s not coming out till April 2020 what was the thought process there?! Second, when you go to rewind a movie with the touch screen in your phone it’s not accurate at all. I’ll go to a certain time take my finger off gently i might add and then it either jumps way ahead or behind of what I actually chose. Third, like others said the continued watching section is terrible why do i have to go back and search for where i was on some movies I’ve never seen, that’s just asking for spoilers just like the rewinding situation. It needs some work

It’s cool that it has older tv shows that I grew up watching, no doubt I love that!, however it doesn’t resume my tv shows, I often times have to look for the exact one I left off at. It’s really annoying. (Especially when you have a crying child!) It also needs the “you just watched this” feature right up front so I don’t have to go searching for it. When I get on to Disney plus it’s always the same movies.. and I’m not interested in those. I want to see only what I’m interested in. That’s the reason why I bought it. Another feature it needs is. “Because you watched this, we suggest you watch that” I’m getting bored of the same things, nothing new is on there. Well not that I know of.... another suggestion that you also separate the “coming soon” movies from the other ones. People can get excited about the up coming year, instead of being supper bummed when they see they have to wait till the month of November in the year 2020 to see the movie or tv shows. I was really upset when I realized I couldn’t watch what I wanted till next Christmas. I’m not to excited about this any more. It’s not a good set up. I feel i was conned out of my money. I bought the year subscription and I wish I hadn’t.

So our family of Disney-lovers find Disney+ to be everything we wanted it to be! Can’t wait for more of the original content to be released, also! I just have a minor suggestion for a future update that would make things a lot easier for us (and I’m sure others). Our son LOVES to watch the Mickey &amp; Friends shorts. So much so, that we re-watch them constantly. However, after an episode is over and it’s continued to auto-play, if we go back to a previously played episode, it stars playing at the credits. There is no “play from the beginning button”. That leaves me scrambling to manually hold down the rewind button. Now it’s not so bad to have to rewind something, but the real problem is once that episode that I rewound is over, it will auto play the next episode and (because it was previously viewed) starts playing that from the credits again! It’s extremely frustrating considering the episodes are only 3-4 minutes long. On the Disney Now app, if the episodes were played to completion, any rewatches go back to the beginning. PLEASE MAKE THIS A FUTURE UPDATE! I fear my sanity and productivity are in jeopardy until this is fixed.
Great Service, Missing One Key Feature

My wife and kids and I love the service so far! There’s tons of stuff for everyone to watch and we’re enjoying showing them the classic movies we watched as kids. The app works quite much better now that they’ve squashed some bugs and added the all important continue watching feature. The app is still not perfect however. After using the app more, I’ve noticed some peculiarities that don’t make much sense. The first is that when someone watches something on their profile, it will often show up on the continue watching list on my profile even though I’ve never watched that show on my profile. This happens quite often with my son’s episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The other weird thing I’ve run into is that Moana can not be found on a child’s profile. This means my 5 year old who loves Moana must have an adult account that is more difficult for her to navigate in order to watch her favorite movie on the service. Overall, we’re very happy both with the service and the app. Once a few minor tweaks are made, I think Disney+ will be able to play ball with the big dogs.

OLD REVIEW: So, I gave this four stars because I do love the app and would love to give it five stars if only this one problem would be fixed. I was initially annoyed about the no “continue watching” feature but with the update that fixed my problem. Or so I thought... when I first got the continue watching update it worked on all of my devices. Unfortunately, now- no matter what device I am on- it restarts the episode that I was on. The continue watching will show me my show and say 7 mins remaining, or something like that, but when I click on it it will load to the beginning of that episode. This is not the worst because I will fast forward to where I was, but I do feel it is an inconvenience and would love for it get fixed. Again I would like to emphasize my love for this app and getting to rewatch all of my favorite Disney shows and movies. Please fix this little bug so I can change my review to five stars. NEW REVIEW: I love the app and have changed my review to five stars because the bug mentioned above was fixed. Thank you Disney+ this app is amazing.

I love this app and have had it for a little while now. All my favorite Disney channel original movies in one place, talk about a childhood dream come true! The only issue I have had that doesn’t seem to have been addressed in the update, is that my watchlist isn’t working right. Currently, it’s missing some shows and movies that I can look up and see that I’ve added to my watchlist already, though it’s not showing up when I open the watchlist. The watchlist is also duplicating the items that do show up on the list. I’m not sure if this is connected to the other problem I noted above or if it is a completely different issue. Obviously, I still love the app and have even recommended it to a few people. I just wanted to mention this issue that I am having as the other reviews I have read didn’t seem to mention this. I hope this is an easy fix, as I do think this app is great. Disney as a company is amazing! I am so grateful that I can watch all the movies and shows I love that are more recent, while also having the option to revisit some old favorites that I grew up watching (and loving).

Okay to start off I’ve never wanted to make a review of anything but this is something I wanna talk about! When they brought this up I was like it’s not like they’ll have Snow White or Crash and Bernstein! But when got the app this morning...🤯! SOMUCH CONTENT! Basically my whole childhood, my siblings childhood, my parents childhood, my Grandparents childhood, and Even my great grandparents childhood! I mean Starting off with Disney! So many TV Shows I can’t find anywhere! So many movies! So many series! And way to many things to even count! Marvel has the OG X-Men y’all! I mean I’m not even kidding! We have some Star Wars! With CLONE WARS!!!!!! And they got some FOX OG’S! Including AVATAR,HOME ALONE, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM, THE SIMPSONS, THE SOUND OF MUSIC AND MORE!!!! Take my advice and get it plz y’all! If you don’t like these and like documentaries😒... they got those too with... National Geographic? I’m being honest I don’t really like Nat Geo but HEY THEY STILL GOT IT! But being honest there is some technical difficulties Disney is having so if it says “No Connection” just exit and re-enter it’s no big deal! So take my advise and get this!

We (obviously) enjoy a bunch of the Disney content, and even some of the “original” content (like The Mandalorian) is very well done. However, the app itself leaves a lot to be desired. My two main complaints are: 1. The app always begins playing a show immediately with no buffering, but then, at exactly 20 seconds in, buffers for 5-10 seconds. This is extremely annoying, especially when you’re watching a Pixar short that is only two minutes long. Also, since the update, the app has begun buffering randomly in the middle of programs, sometimes 2-3 times in a row. For reference, we also have Netflix and Britbox, and neither one EVER stops the show at any point to buffer. 2. The lack of a working “continue watching” bar. I know that this bar showed up in the update, but it doesn’t work on either of our devices. The bar is there; it shows the programs we’ve been watching, and how far we’ve progressed into them. But when I tap on one of the programs in the bar, it nearly always restarts the program from the beginning. About once in ten times, it will restart from where we stopped watching, but those aren’t good odds.

Alright, so this is going to be short and sweet. Disney plus is amazing, I use it all the time to watch my favorite movies, and recently I’ve been binge watching the marvel movies. It works out pretty well for me. New episodes come out within a few days (which is pretty awesome), you get to watch anything owned by Disney, and it’s just awesome. (Especially The Mandalorian) But there is one thing that could make it better, and I’ve seen other people make this suggestion too. Disney plus should definitely have a “currently watching” section. It’s the one thing left that I need. Otherwise I have to look up the movie that I’m watching, find the right one, and hope it starts off where I ended. And it does, but I think it’d take a little less time and effort if you put a currently watching section right on the top bar of your home screen. That way I can click the app, scroll down a tiny, tiny little bit, and click the movie or show that I’m watching. So yeah, my suggestion (which you should totally add) would be a currently watching section. Otherwise, Disney plus is basically perfect for me.

Update: So somehow as you watch content it is saved into documents and data. I have no content downloaded within the app but somehow over 6GB of documents and data?? Also it shows multiple episodes downloaded in the storage setting view of the iPhone that aren’t downloaded within the Disney plus app itself. After deleting those episodes that aren’t downloaded but somehow are, there was still over 590MB of documents and data. I deleted and reinstalled the app and it had mere kb of data. As I start watching content again, the documents and data keeps increasing, what gives? I have tons of other streaming apps that don’t do this, it’s a major hassle, please fix! Original review:Lots of things already available. The menus and selection content loads quickly and the playback quality is very good. Also tried it on the Roku and it also looks way better than every other streaming app I have. Things load and begin to play quickly. They have a search function but they also have multiple ways of categorizing so you can get to what you want pretty quickly as well. So far it’s working and looking great, have to see how it does when millions of people are using it at the same time.

The service is off the a great start and I have no doubt that Disney will continue to add more movies, shows, and shorts as it continues. However, while there is a lot of stuff in the service at launch, much of it feels like filler material and some of the things not included can felt. Such as not a single Indiana Jones movie, or the fact that Disney now owns all of Fox’s catalog but only include the Simpsons and avatar. No alien or fox X-men movie? I know these will probably be added later on but I feel like a streaming service that wants to truly compete with other platforms like Netflix should have many of these films already included to form an unbeatable backbone and then continue to support the platform with original content and other new releases after their run in movie theaters. Otherwise you get what we have now, which is a service that has a couple of main classics here and there, and a few originals, but is mostly made up of Disney channel original content and lots of live action D-list filler movies that only someone who grew up with would enjoy watching for nostalgic reasons.

For what I use the app for it works fantastic. I have noticed updates being rolled out and see the changes happen which is fantastic. The biggest con I have is the older tv shows are out of order. Watched the new Ducktales and Talespin and the first 2-3 episodes for each are hidden randomly throughout the run. I know it’s a cartoon but it is nostalgic and watching it as an adult and wanting to know why certain things happened would be nice to know at the beginning. Other complaints would be stretching the old Simpsons 4:3 into 16:9. The old Disney cartoons are 4:3 so why not the old Simpsons? The app works well with chromecast. Every now and then the programming will stop playing whether it’s 2 episodes in or 8. It’ll randomly stop. They need to add skip intros to all tv shows like The Mandalorian has. I look forward to the future of this streaming service and can’t wait for the whole MCU to be available. Also, please add more classic Mickey Mouse programming as big blocks. Not individual 6 minutes episodes. I have to search for and stream one at a time. Fix these issues I have pointed out and this will be in my eyes a five star app.
Horribly optimized app

Getting two stars because of this app missing the simplest streaming features out there across all devices. Not being able to easily resume a movie/show gets beyond irritating. Especially when they release a resume feature couple weeks after launch only to find out it’s broken, you have to manually search through the app each time to find what you were watching; find it, hit resume and it simply restarts. Thought it was my device messing up, but same happens on mobile, pc, fire stick and playstation. Don’t understand how such a big company that claims to be the new kings of streaming can’t even manage to have the simplest features work. Playbacks constantly skip where the video freezes and the audio continues. This can last 5-10 seconds, goes in a loading loop and then rewinds back to the spot before it hit the video freeze. This has also been happening since launch and happens quite often. Overall it’s a pretty crappy app that was rushed and never optimized for common use. Great selection but unless you want to deal with a headache trying to watch what you want, i’d wait till Disney decides to fix this app as it feels like a Beta testing.

I have an account and like I didn’t want to be selfish so I let my friends come on it since you can add up to 7 people. The thing is, what if one day I decided I don’t want them on it anymore but they refuse to leave. I can’t do anything abt it except cancel the subscription but then everyone else would be effected by just one person . The owner should be able to have more control. Like the owner can do stuff with other profiles and manage stuff more and ppl who aren’t the owner of it shouldn’t be able to like change or go on other ppls profile unless allowed or something. Like you can go on the owners profile even if your not the owner. The last thing is, I trust my friends so I gave them the password to it so they can login but what if for some reason(I doubt the ppl that are on my account would do this bc they are my closest friends) but one day they could just decided to change the password because even if your not the owner of the account, you can still change the password which isn’t right. But that’s all I have to say

I only gave 4 stars because the selection is awesome — there’s something for everyone and every mood. However, I stream Disney plus on my iphone hooked up to my TV and that has presented problems. For one, ANY notification (including phone calls) will cause the picture to pause but the audio still continues. Seldom times the show will catch up and continue, but a majority of the time, I have to restart the app. From there, the issues continue. The show seldom saves where I left off; it restarts and I have to fast forward to where I left off (or the best of my memory). Sometimes it’ll say “oops, can’t play this selection right now,” which is even more annoying because I have to unplug my phone from the adapter then reconnect it. Also, if watching a series, I don’t like it doesn’t automatically start the next episode. Otherwise, as previously mentioned, I love reliving my childhood shows and sharing them with my children. This is priceless. If the tech issues could be resolved, I’d give 5 stars.

Your content is there. The app needs work. Profiles need personalization or more than just having a watchlist. For example, there’s no “continue watching” section so hope you know where to find whatever it is you were watching. Also, you can something to your watchlist. Finish it, but without knowing how to manipulate the bugs, remove it from your watchlist. Strolling through all the features, you can click on a show, and even if it’s in your watchlist, it won’t show that it’s in your watchlist, leaving you to believe programs you add to your watchlist aren’t actually there. In regards to manipulating the system to take something off of your watchlist, you have to click add to watchlist to ADD it again, then click it again to remove it. That seems to be the only way to remove a show from your watchlist. And this is a problem on ALL my devices not just mobile devices. This includes the Apple TV, and the firestick app. Disney, y’all are great but with so much content on this service, a person needs a better way to keep track of what’s in their watchlist and what they’ve been watching. Please correct this.

The amount and quality of the content here is great. However the way older TV series are being handled is inconsistent and pretty rough. Some pre-HD shows are presented in their original 4:3 aspect ratio and look fine, but others for some reason are zoomed in, stretching the image and cropping the top and bottom of the screen which looks terrible, and there is no option to switch. Additionally, nearly all the shows I browsed had every episode listed under one season, which means you can’t look for episodes by season and have to scroll right through dozens of episodes to find what you want. Some episodes are mistitled or misnumbered, meaning they auto play out of the intended viewing order. And if you plan on watching a whole series, it doesn’t appear to save your spot so you have to again scroll through the 50-80 episodes of “season 1” to find where you left off. Hopefully these issues will be addressed soon because the rest of the platform seems great and I am very excited for how much content is available to stream for the first time ever thanks to this platform.

I hate to sound like I’m parroting other reviews, but... I honestly can’t think of another word to describe Disney+ aside from fantastic. From some of the earliest classics that put the name “Walt Disney” on the map, to the legendary pictures that make up the face of the studio and the stream of new films, shows, and other projects, there’s something on here for almost everyone. I understand that at the time of this review, the service is just over a week old, but if there is at least one thing I would like to add to Disney+, it would be the addition of a section dedicated to some of the content that Disney has rights to (and might add to the service) that are geared towards more mature audiences, such as “The X-Files,” “Deadpool,” and other such properties or materials that might not be suitable for younger audiences (in case such a proposition isn’t already in effect). Aside from that suggestion, this is definitely a streaming platform for fans of Disney and beyond.

I was so excited for this app to come out. I have used many streaming services over the years, but have never even come close to experiencing one that is done so incredibly poorly. Even after the updates, I have never watched a solid 10 mins of video without getting an “oops something went wrong” and during those ten minutes the video glitches horribly. I have the fastest internet available, no other apps have problems. I love Disney, I love the ease and comfort of the features on the app, and it is visually attractive. But for a company as large as Disney, it is appalling how horribly the service actually streams video, end it takes me about 7 tries to watch a 1 hour long episode of The Mandalorian, regardless of what device I’m using the app on. Incredibly disappointing that Disney our the bar the lowest it’s ever been. Either they’re trying incredibly hard to not spend the money required to fix it, or there are some people that REALLY need to get fired because I wouldn’t trust them to change the batteries in a remote. Everyone I know has stopped or slowed down using the app for the same reasons, it’s hard to watch such a marvelous idea waste away because it’s being designed by idiots.

I absolutely love having all the movies in one place. The movies from the vault are such a blessing and it’s like I’m reliving my childhood again but the app itself could use a bit of improvement. I love how they offer a variety of section to search in and maybe find a diamond in the rough to watch but then when you do and suddenly get distracted, you lose your movie and oops! You forgot what it was called!! So I definitely definitely think it needs a “continue watching” section. Also I heard about some of the older classics being ban being of the culture it depicts... I think this is not smart at all and hope it does NOT happen. Yes those movies depict a culture of a time that is no longer relevant, but it’s still history. What’s the good in censoring history when it’s a fact that it happened? Those movies are just what they are, classic. Definitely, most definitely, should not be put back away. Over all love the app but maybe they could make some improvements!

Let me start like so many reviews by saying that the amount of content is out of this world. I will just say I look forward to updates on this app. 1.) I would like a way to mark what episodes I’ve watched already in a series. My memory isn’t good enough to do this for long seeing as my mind is filled with the needs of my cats. 2.) I would like a “last watched” section to easily remind me what I was watching before my cats got into a major fight and I went running from my comfy chair to save my poor fat cat from her distress inflicted by my sleek sporty male cat. 3.) When my lap is being occupied by a sleeping cat, I don’t often have hands to touch my phone between episodes and since the auto play option isn’t working between episodes, poor fat cat is having to move once again. While the app is working well for my cat’s diet and fitness plan, I think these slight modifications would make it more cat lady friendly. And yes, if you did read this all the way through, the first thing we watched was Aristocats.

This app has all the old and new Disney including all the other major companies like Marvel and Star Wars. It didn’t have new releases but I will hope that they will be available here before release on Red box and other sites after they leave the box office. The reason I am giving three stars is there needs to be improvements made and this is a new app. There is no place to stop and save in the middle of shows and movies. It also does not tell you what you have already watched, so it is hard to pick up unless you remember yourself. I also wish they had a “currently watching” tab included with the “my watchlist” just to make the app easier to navigate. That being said I have always loved Disney and this app is a great new way to rewatch all of my older favorites that I didn’t have easier access to before this platform. Continue improving on this app Disney and there will have more people subscribed than it already does now. I recommend this product highly as it is reasonably priced as well for the amount of content you are given, and also has multiple profile options.

I am not giving 5 stars for a couple of reasons... First, there isn’t a “recently watched” or “continue watching” area in the home screen. Every time I want to continue watching where I left off, I have to go to my profile and then to my watch list and select from there, which brings me to my second issue. If you are watching a tv series, you select the series you’re watching from your watch list, then you have to scroll down past each episode and hopefully remember which episode you’ve left off on, because if you just click the play button at the top without going to the actual episode, it starts at the very first episode and very first season. Also, unlike Netflix, if you’ve watched an episode, it doesn’t show you in some way (a progress bar or check mark) that you’ve already seen that episode. Other than those 2 things, so far I am enjoying Disney+! I love Disney, and I am curious and excited to check out the “through the years” of Mickey Mouse!

Let me start off by saying this is truly is a beautiful app, and well worth the wait for the sheer amount of titles that Disney has graced us with. That being said, the initial glitches and hiccups were definitely to be expected with the overwhelming number of first-time users. However, the app is still very well designed and all encompassing, while still leaving plenty of room for future growth. I would like to see a “Continue Watching” section (emulating similar streaming apps) as I find it time-consuming to be continuously searching for what I was watching rather than having it conveniently placed on top of the list at launch. The saving grace to this minor flaw is that the app does allow for auto play, so you don’t have to go back and fast-forward to where you were previously watching. In summary, Disney + is highly anticipated app that lives up to most expectations, and can be easily improved with consumer feedback within the coming months.

Overall the content is great! There are some concerns about the app though that I hope gets fixed. Here are a few: 1) there needs to be a continue watching section so you don’t have to re-search the movie or show you were watching and have to remember which episode you were on, 2) if you’ve added something to your watchlist it should show that if you click on it again and should have a way to remove it from the list after watching, and 3) the “recommended for you” category doesn’t seem to change and is showing the same stuff even after watching multiple things so I do not believe it takes into consideration what you seem interested in. All of these also make it seem useless to have separate profiles if a single person’s specific shows are not going to show up as continue watching or recommended. Again love that I have all of this Disney content now, but would also love to see improvement in the app itself!
Great content, but some issues

The content is great. The UI is relatively friendly on both IOS and AppleTV. However, why is there not an option to resume play or to start over when you pick a movie? Having a young child we watch the same movies. Over. And over. Being able to restart from the beginning for the 90th viewing of Little Mermaid would be nice to be done at the touch of a button instead of having to pause and rewind. Also, why no chapter skip/chapter select feature to skip automatically to that one scene that the kids just have to watch repeatedly? It feels like I’m reliving my childhood not only in movies that are being viewed but also in how I’m viewing them since it’s akin to watching on VHS. If they can get these small issues resolved, which should arguably have been there at launch, it will be a 5* review. PS, Mandalorian is great! Update: the above issues for restart and resume have already been addressed. Chapter select still lacking though.

Disappointing. There are so many little things that other platforms have improved on over the years, how did Disney not check out the competition and get a jump start. The app is overly simple with very little ability to navigate. You constantly have to navigate back the the home screen and then step by step to your destination. The ‘continue watching’ list (in my opinion the most important space in a streaming app) tends to not show up; and when it does you have no ability to open the show’s page (thus allowing for episode selection). There is no skip to next episode button. No episode selection while in video. No tracker to show what you’ve previously watched (to know what episode your on). And difficult navigation to your own watchlist. The app is great for browsing and that’s about it, but since most people have a good understanding of what Disney has to offer this isn’t all that important. I love having access to all this content but that’s not what Disney+ is, it’s an experience and it’s lacking.

Download, login, and browsing happened with perfection... the first surprise. Then the content, WOW. I knew they had to offer a lot since the claims being made by Disney prior to launch were quite bold... and they weren’t kidding, the library is comprehensive, extensively built starting with the very 1st Mickey Mouse film, and including practically everything you could possibly want from Disney (a few movies or offerings have an upcoming release date if they’re not currently available, and I certainly expected a few titles to be withheld for many possible reasons, so not disappointed about that). I’m personally very excited to check out all the National Geographic shows &amp; movies that I browsed through, and watch a whole lot of movies I loved as a child &amp; haven’t encountered for 30 years! But AS FOR MY YOUNG CHILD, this will now bring a lot of happiness to his life as we get to share all the incredible Disney movies with him now!! YAY!!!!! Thank you Disney!

My friend told me about this and I thought I could give it a try. I asked my mom and she checked it out. And it was $6.99 a month! A really good deal for Disney movies, considering that Disney has a long history for classics and favorites. We bought it and I rapidly went to search for Gravity Falls. All of the episodes were there. I loved that there are some movies that aren&#39;t on Netflix and are in Disney+. The movies have a remarkable sound quality and great visuals, even though some of these movies were published in the 1930s. All of them have a variety of blockbuster films to choose from and they release earlier than Netflix does. It would take a few days or months to get a movie on to their page but with Disney+, you could admission your favorite films that were released only a few days back. Not only Disney movies, but the Star Wars series and the new and original trilogy, documentaries, Marvel movies, and finally the Simpsons.

Just downloaded the app. I loved how clean and simple the design is. Disney’s enormous library is immediately apparent. From Marvel to Snow White, it’s all hear. As a parent of two, I really like the streamlined nature of the kids section. I was prepared to add every Toy Story movie on my own, but instead there is an entire curated collection made by Disney for easy discovery. Having all your favorite Disney movies in one place will turn digging through binders of DVDs to find your copy of Hocus Pocus at Halloween an absolute breeze. With Mandalorian already out and Marvel with a lineup of original series to come, Disney there for the parents too. All I ask is that a back button of some sort be added to the top left of page for the movies you tap on. The little X in the top right is ok, but it being on the left on smartphones is way more natural, even a drag and remove would be good. Fantastic showing from Disney otherwise. 5 stars

First let me make it plain that I love Disney+. However, there are things that are needed, and I can’t figure out why they were ignored. First, WHY is there not a “continue watching” or “recently viewed” section??? It’s very annoying that we have to search for what we were watching. Secondly, when I’m setting in my chair trying to find something to watch, it can be very hard to see the title from across the room. When I hover over the movie, there should be some sort of pop up that helps me see the selection title more clearly, the rating and a short snapshot of what the selection is about. Thirdly, when I pick up watching the movie from where I left off, it says “play” instead of “continue watching”. I realize you’re trying to be different than your competitors but there are some things they’ve been doing right for a really long time. Do what they’re doing and STOP TRYING TO REINVENT THE WHEEL! I’ve paid for a year’s subscription but will probably cancel if these simple things aren’t fixed. By the way, I took one star off for each of the three complaints listed.
Great, but one slight issue

I have been using this app for the last few weeks and I can say that I absolutely love it. However, I have experienced one slight problem. When you turn forward or backward the show or movie you are watching by 10 seconds, it gets stuck loading on the iPhone 8. This prevents you from pausing it or turning it forward farther. You then have to exit the show or movie you are watching and re-enter it. This is more of a minor inconvenience than a complaint but I still feel that it should be addressed. Also Both my kids and I used to love watching dog with a blog together on Disney channel amongst other things, as well as some distinct short films like John Henry, Feast, The Little Match Girl, and Tick Tock Tale, however I have been unable to find them on Disney+. While I acknowledge that this comment will most likely be unacknowledged by most everyone, I would love it if these changes were addressed to.
