Why does this app have a 10 min waiting thing on it??? I shouldn’t have to pay to get rid of it! I don’t get very far in my story before the 10 min thing comes up. Can you like get rid of it?? If so I will be very happy and probably rate this app with a 5-star review but this is a constant problem for me.

I love this App, very good and very addicting and why isn’t there an option to watch videos to unlock instead of waiting... I have other similar app and you can watch videos to unlock... plz create an option to watch to unlock, I don’t want and can’t wait to finish my story.
I loved it I don’t want to pay, please let have an option to watch videos for unlocking...
In the meantime I might’ve to delete the app.

When you read them, they don’t really have a climactic point. Also there is no final ending. The endings of the chat stories are just cliffhangers. I’m not trying to be rude, but the premium is $5 dollars a week. Let’s be honest, who would want to pay five dollars a week. That would cost $260 a year which would be bad if the stories had an actual plot development. I just didn’t enjoy any aspects of the app.

Good stories, really annoying business practice

The stories are absolutely fantastic, engaging and entertaining. BUT. They’re really pushing for their premium membership. There’s pictures and (maybe?) phrases that are cut out unless you pay. There’s a timer that, when it runs out, you gotta wait 10 minutes until you can continue reading. Running ads would have been much better than this.
On top of that, the premium membership ship costs $20 a MONTH. It’s literally insane. I get that businesses need to make money, but what is this? EA? Currently weighing pros and cons of uninstalling.

Ok so, when I start to read a story it makes me wait 10 minutes but you have to be in the app for the clock to pass because I went to fortnite and started playing a match and then I get back on the app and like 2 minutes have passed. Not only that some words are covered up by like a picture of an eye and it makes you pay to see what the person said and I honestly don’t recommend this app because like a person will ask a different question then I can’t read it then they move on to a whole new convoy and I don’t know what the question is and I thought the pic was showing up because my phone was glitching but no it was the app making you pay

This fake 5.0 rating is an insult to the integrity of the App Store and Apple should ban these developers for doing whatever evil it is they did to swindle this fraud. This app is horrific. I don’t even know where to start on the problems with this app. To give a taste of the thoughtless design here, every single time you tap to go to the next message your phone buzzes, and there’s no way to turn it off. I don’t know what the heck they were thinking when they decided to make it like that. Who wants to get continually buzzed as they try to read a story? All downhill from there.

Hi I’ve had this app forever and I absolutely love the thriller stories since I’m a thriller seeker I love having chills running through my spine....anyways....I remembered that this app had a offline mode and I think it doesn’t work can you make sure you fix it so I can read some stories while I have no connection if you can thanks If not I understand but thanks :)

This app is way better than Texting Story and yarn. I know a ton of people already said this, but I wished that I would have found this before Texting Story and yarn. Even though it has a ton of ads those are what makes the chat stories totally free. Thanks again!!!!

This app is so fun. It lets you invent your own stories and you can publish it on YouTube. I am using an iPad mini and I realized when I type texts, the keyboard is pretty laggy. Please fix this issue. Out of all, this is really a great app.

Out of 1,739 reviews, EVERY single person gave this app 5 stars regardless of the complaints they have. Was there some kind of “Get the app for free if you rate us 5 stars” bribe I missed? Don’t get me wrong, the only story I’ve been able to read since I downloaded it yesterday wasn’t that bad. However, the problem I have is with the “10 minute” wait time. It seems like the time only counts down when the app is open. During the very first wait, I went to another app to kill time and after several minutes or so I went back to this app and only 30 seconds had passed. I thought I was going crazy but I paid more attention the other times and sure enough, the time hardly moved. Has no one else experienced this or not have an issue with it? I’ve read many reviews and it wasn’t mentioned by one person (although, I didn’t read all of them because there are just way too many) but judging on 1,739 5 stars I’m guessing no one else has this issue. Also, I didn’t get very far in the story before the wait time came up so that was also disappointing. If these 2 issues weren’t issues I may just rate it 5 stars but if it continues I may just end up deleting it instead.

I\'ve been looking for an app like this for the longest time! I downloaded Hooked, but deleted it immediatley and downloaded Texting Story right away! My best friend and I can\'t get enough of it, we read all the time! We beg our teachers to let us read! However, the latest update is not so good. I love the app, definetley download it if you don\'t want to pay for hoots on Hooked. But if you do download, don\'t get the latest update, it improved speed and bug fixes, but reuined the stories. It makes the bar at the top stay there and makes the boxes square. The new update is strange. Other than that, I absolutley love Texting Story, download it!

Okay so I am now obsessed with apps like this! Right now I have three: Texting Story (This one), Tap, and Yarn. This one is probably my favorite of the three because 1) It has the shortest wait time. 2) It has categories for you to choose from. I love all three apps, but this one is the most friendly to all types of people, and I haven\'t used a cent on any of the apps. My friend wanted to get this app, but it\'s not available for android. I know this is because it\'s new and low on reviews, so please get this app and recommend it to friends! 😄💖✨

Ok so most people on here are having the same problem I am the story gets you into a story and then cuts ya right off. The creator of this app put an add asking to rate the game and after that it cuts you off! So the creator off this game wants you to buy the rest of your story... how stupid. I gave this a 1 star rating for that reason. And also I have it a one is because I don’t want the creator to get paid for making you buy the game... I deleted it and I don’t know if that’s what the creator thought was going to happen but that’s probably what’s mostly going to happen... unless the creator can fix it then I MIGHT re download it

Amazing but I hate how you have to wait and if you don’t want to wait you have to pay money and I don’t think that’s fare but whatever it’s very fun over all and it’s a great time killer and consumer it’s great if you want to get scared before bed and amazing if you hate reading and like electronics you honestly feel like your not reading and just texting there kind of the same but.....it’s great for car trips .... uses a little bit of battery for me not sure about you but it’s cool ❤️🙂

I love the story's in Better than hooked they definitely keep you Better than hooked! The only thing with Better than hooked is that I'm kind of angry that you have to wait about twenty minutes to finish the story and I would like it better if we didn't have to wait for it. Over all, I do recommend this app to everyone all though it may be unsuitable for younger people. That's why I give this app five out of five.

You should download this app because you get to read some interesting stories! Some can be about drama, Creepy, Romantic, Mystery, and also Comedy! I love this app because whenever I’m bored all I can do is read stories that interest me and I can have a fantastic time! I gave this a three star because I used to have this app about a year ago and it was free. I absolutely loved the stories! I hate how this app makes you pay to read the stories. I hope that you don’t have to pay in the future. If the owner(s) of this app change the money situation I will definitely leave a better review. If you don’t want to pay money to read a story I suggest getting a different app.

I like this app. It leaves you wanting to read more every time. The only downside is that if you don’t want to purchase the membership, you have to wait 30 minutes to get more texts. Overall I recommend this app. Better than hooked also has a variety of different genres of stories, so no matter what you’re in the mood for, you will always find something.

Hi I’ve had this app forever and I absolutely love the thriller stories since I’m a thriller seeker I love having chills running through my spine....anyways....I remembered that this app had a offline mode and I think it doesn’t work can you make sure you fix it so I can read some stories while I have no connection if you can thanks If not I understand but thanks :)

I love this App, very good and very addicting and why isn’t there an option to watch videos to unlock instead of waiting... I have other similar app and you can watch videos to unlock... plz create an option to watch to unlock, I don’t want and can’t wait to finish my story.

This fake 5.0 rating is an insult to the integrity of the App Store and Apple should ban these developers for doing whatever evil it is they did to swindle this fraud. This app is horrific. I don’t even know where to start on the problems with this app. To give a taste of the thoughtless design here, every single time you tap to go to the next message your phone buzzes, and there’s no way to turn it off. I don’t know what the heck they were thinking when they decided to make it like that. Who wants to get continually buzzed as they try to read a story? All downhill from there.

I rate this a five star because it does hook u to The point where you don’t want to stop reading and sometimes the stories are scary but that’s what keeps on making people read them more and more. There is a story called life of the party and it’s really good I would totally recommend it has five episodes but it’s really cool so go download the app.

I love reading the story’s. I get so in to them and just makes me feel like I’m there. I could read a thousand of them but then my phone dies😂. they make me happy, sad ,scared ,and every feeling you have felt it is so amazing. My favorite has to be romantic. I gave you guys a four star rating because I think you shouldn't have the your out of hoots it's a reading app you should read freely and yes I understand that's how you get you're money but I'm broke I can't afford to pay this stuff and I hate it how it just cuts me off but I love the app it's great actually I changed the four rating to a five rating!

Texting stories is amazing!! I just wish there were a little bit more abilities. One thing I wish would come into this app is that fact that the app would auto correct more stuff and the app should give more space to type! Over all that the App is PERFECT!!

Granted I've only read the horror versions of the story's, but every episode is super short so its not like reading a whole book, and they are all really interesting, it's like watching the twilight zone but it's more modern, and it's a great source of horror stories for the camp fire, at first I was skeptical but I'm glad I took the risk,

I love this app. Its kinda the only app I use more often out of all the other apps I have. I think you should get it if ur debating about it. U can always log out of the story and change to a different one. I just love this app let’s be real here this is the best app compared to the other apps.

This app is way better than Texting Story and yarn. I know a ton of people already said this, but I wished that I would have found this before Texting Story and yarn. Even though it has a ton of ads those are what makes the chat stories totally free. Thanks again!!!!

I love this app but it cusses. Why would you do that ? I kinda would think it's for dramatic effect but I got this game and I'm 10 . You should make sure of there age and if there over I don't know 15 they choose there language. That is my only problem but besides that it's great!!!!!!!

I love this so much and I always read from it. It make reading fun and easy. This app helped my sister start reading as well. Really easy words to pronounce. They have hard words in there to if you are a high scaled reader. I absolutely love this app.

Why does this app have a 10 min waiting thing on it??? I shouldn’t have to pay to get rid of it! I don’t get very far in my story before the 10 min thing comes up. Can you like get rid of it?? I would give it 4.9 stars if I could. The .1 is for the wait time for stories. I get that we need premium or something like that but I get through 1 story in about two days.
Also can Better than hooked become even more better with more genres? Developers consider that good stories aren’t just horror or romance. I would enjoy comedy, action, or anything else you can think of.

When you read them, they don’t really have a climactic point. Also there is no final ending. The endings of the chat stories are just cliffhangers. I’m not trying to be rude, but the premium is $5 dollars a week. Let’s be honest, who would want to pay five dollars a week. That would cost $260 a year which would be bad if the stories had an actual plot development. I just didn’t enjoy any aspects of the app.

I love this app so much. Some might get agitated by the fact that you have only a certain amount of clicks, but I don’t. I personally feel that it leaves you with some anxiety, and a strong feeling of impatientence. I love this app over all though...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! 😏

Good stories, really annoying business practice

The stories are absolutely fantastic, engaging and entertaining. BUT. They’re really pushing for their premium membership. There’s pictures and (maybe?) phrases that are cut out unless you pay. There’s a timer that, when it runs out, you gotta wait 10 minutes until you can continue reading. Running ads would have been much better than this.
On top of that, the premium membership ship costs $20 a MONTH. It’s literally insane. I get that businesses need to make money, but what is this? EA? Currently weighing pros and cons of uninstalling.

Ok so, when I start to read a story it makes me wait 10 minutes but you have to be in the app for the clock to pass because I went to fortnite and started playing a match and then I get back on the app and like 2 minutes have passed. Not only that some words are covered up by like a picture of an eye and it makes you pay to see what the person said and I honestly don’t recommend this app because like a person will ask a different question then I can’t read it then they move on to a whole new convoy and I don’t know what the question is and I thought the pic was showing up because my phone was glitching but no it was the app making you pay

This app is so fun. It lets you invent your own stories and you can publish it on YouTube. I am using an iPad mini and I realized when I type texts, the keyboard is pretty laggy. Please fix this issue. Out of all, this is really a great app.

Out of 1,739 reviews, EVERY single person gave this app 5 stars regardless of the complaints they have. Was there some kind of “Get the app for free if you rate us 5 stars” bribe I missed? Don’t get me wrong, the only story I’ve been able to read since I downloaded it yesterday wasn’t that bad. However, the problem I have is with the “10 minute” wait time. It seems like the time only counts down when the app is open. During the very first wait, I went to another app to kill time and after several minutes or so I went back to this app and only 30 seconds had passed. I thought I was going crazy but I paid more attention the other times and sure enough, the time hardly moved. Has no one else experienced this or not have an issue with it? I’ve read many reviews and it wasn’t mentioned by one person (although, I didn’t read all of them because there are just way too many) but judging on 1,739 5 stars I’m guessing no one else has this issue. Also, I didn’t get very far in the story before the wait time came up so that was also disappointing. If these 2 issues weren’t issues I may just rate it 5 stars but if it continues I may just end up deleting it instead.

I\'ve been looking for an app like this for the longest time! I downloaded Hooked, but deleted it immediatley and downloaded Texting Story right away! My best friend and I can\'t get enough of it, we read all the time! We beg our teachers to let us read! However, the latest update is not so good. I love the app, definetley download it if you don\'t want to pay for hoots on Hooked. But if you do download, don\'t get the latest update, it improved speed and bug fixes, but reuined the stories. It makes the bar at the top stay there and makes the boxes square. The new update is strange. Other than that, I absolutley love Texting Story, download it!

Okay so I am now obsessed with apps like this! Right now I have three: Texting Story (This one), Tap, and Yarn. This one is probably my favorite of the three because 1) It has the shortest wait time. 2) It has categories for you to choose from. I love all three apps, but this one is the most friendly to all types of people, and I haven\'t used a cent on any of the apps. My friend wanted to get this app, but it\'s not available for android. I know this is because it\'s new and low on reviews, so please get this app and recommend it to friends! 😄💖✨

Ok so most people on here are having the same problem I am the story gets you into a story and then cuts ya right off. The creator of this app put an add asking to rate the game and after that it cuts you off! So the creator off this game wants you to buy the rest of your story... how stupid. I gave this a 1 star rating for that reason. And also I have it a one is because I don’t want the creator to get paid for making you buy the game... I deleted it and I don’t know if that’s what the creator thought was going to happen but that’s probably what’s mostly going to happen... unless the creator can fix it then I MIGHT re download it

Amazing but I hate how you have to wait and if you don’t want to wait you have to pay money and I don’t think that’s fare but whatever it’s very fun over all and it’s a great time killer and consumer it’s great if you want to get scared before bed and amazing if you hate reading and like electronics you honestly feel like your not reading and just texting there kind of the same but.....it’s great for car trips .... uses a little bit of battery for me not sure about you but it’s cool ❤️🙂

Ok so, when I start to read a story it makes me wait 10 minutes but you have to be in the app for the clock to pass because I went to fortnite and started playing a match and then I get back on the app and like 2 minutes have passed. Not only that some words are covered up by like a picture of an eye and it makes you pay to see what the person said and I honestly don’t recommend this app because like a person will ask a different question then I can’t read it then they move on to a whole new convoy and I don’t know what the question is and I thought the pic was showing up because my phone was glitching but no it was the app making you pay
Good stories, really annoying business practice

The stories are absolutely fantastic, engaging and entertaining. BUT. They’re really pushing for their premium membership. There’s pictures and (maybe?) phrases that are cut out unless you pay. There’s a timer that, when it runs out, you gotta wait 10 minutes until you can continue reading. Running ads would have been much better than this.
On top of that, the premium membership ship costs $20 a MONTH. It’s literally insane. I get that businesses need to make money, but what is this? EA? Currently weighing pros and cons of uninstalling.

I love the story's in Better than hooked they definitely keep you Better than hooked! The only thing with Better than hooked is that I'm kind of angry that you have to wait about twenty minutes to finish the story and I would like it better if we didn't have to wait for it. Over all, I do recommend this app to everyone all though it may be unsuitable for younger people. That's why I give this app five out of five.

I gave this a three star because I used to have this app about a year ago and it was free. I absolutely loved the stories! I hate how this app makes you pay to read the stories. I hope that you don’t have to pay in the future. If the owner(s) of this app change the money situation I will definitely leave a better review. If you don’t want to pay money to read a story I suggest getting a different app.

I like this app. It leaves you wanting to read more every time. The only downside is that if you don’t want to purchase the membership, you have to wait 30 minutes to get more texts. Overall I recommend this app. Better than hooked also has a variety of different genres of stories, so no matter what you’re in the mood for, you will always find something.

Hi I’ve had this app forever and I absolutely love the thriller stories since I’m a thriller seeker I love having chills running through my spine....anyways....I remembered that this app had a offline mode and I think it doesn’t work can you make sure you fix it so I can read some stories while I have no connection if you can thanks If not I understand but thanks :)

I love this App, very good and very addicting and why isn’t there an option to watch videos to unlock instead of waiting... I have other similar app and you can watch videos to unlock... plz create an option to watch to unlock, I don’t want and can’t wait to finish my story.
I loved it I don’t want to pay, please let have an option to watch videos for unlocking...

This fake 5.0 rating is an insult to the integrity of the App Store and Apple should ban these developers for doing whatever evil it is they did to swindle this fraud. This app is horrific. I don’t even know where to start on the problems with this app. To give a taste of the thoughtless design here, every single time you tap to go to the next message your phone buzzes, and there’s no way to turn it off. I don’t know what the heck they were thinking when they decided to make it like that. Who wants to get continually buzzed as they try to read a story? All downhill from there.

I rate this a five star because it does hook u to The point where you don’t want to stop reading and sometimes the stories are scary but that’s what keeps on making people read them more and more. There is a story called life of the party and it’s really good I would totally recommend it has five episodes but it’s really cool so go download the app.

I could read a thousand of them but then my phone dies😂. they make me happy, sad ,scared ,and every feeling you have felt it is so amazing. My favorite has to be romantic. Granted I've only read the horror versions of the story's, but every episode is super short so its not like reading a whole book, and they are all really interesting, it's like watching the twilight zone but it's more modern, and it's a great source of horror stories for the camp fire, at first I was skeptical but I'm glad I took the risk,

I love this app but it cusses. Why would you do that ? I kinda would think it's for dramatic effect but I got this game and I'm 10 . You should make sure of there age and if there over I don't know 15 they choose there language. That is my only problem but besides that it's great!!!!!!!

I love this so much and I always read from it. It make reading fun and easy. This app helped my sister start reading as well. Really easy words to pronounce. They have hard words in there to if you are a high scaled reader. I absolutely love this app.

I loved that first story it was great spooky kept me guessing I never wanted to leave the page I think it is great i might just support a version of the app, I think it was a reasonable price! I followed the Author on Instagram!!! Alright in to the next story :-D I can’t wait.

Why does this app have a 10 min waiting thing on it??? I shouldn’t have to pay to get rid of it! I don’t get very far in my story before the 10 min thing comes up. Can you like get rid of it?? If so I will be very happy and probably rate this app with a 5-star review but this is a constant problem for me.

I would give it 4.9 stars if I could. The .1 is for the wait time for stories. I get that we need premium or something like that but I get through 1 story in about two days.
Also can Better than hooked become even more better with more genres? Developers consider that good stories aren’t just horror or romance. I would enjoy comedy, action, or anything else you can think of.

When you read them, they don’t really have a climactic point. Also there is no final ending. The endings of the chat stories are just cliffhangers. I’m not trying to be rude, but the premium is $5 dollars a week. Let’s be honest, who would want to pay five dollars a week. That would cost $260 a year which would be bad if the stories had an actual plot development. I just didn’t enjoy any aspects of the app.

I love this app so much. Some might get agitated by the fact that you have only a certain amount of clicks, but I don’t. I personally feel that it leaves you with some anxiety, and a strong feeling of impatientence. I love this app over all though...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! 😏

Honestly,I first thought it would be a boring old app with nothing interesting but as I read the first story, I got really interested and somewhat spooked with few of the stories. Overall great app and amazing imagination with the chat stories

It’s so suspenseful when they make you wait for the next episode,and I love it when the people don’t answer right away I feel like something happened to them

I love this app even though it can be scary it always gets you Better than hooked into the story and you some times get mad to wait but it leads up to a good suspense

Ok so what I give this game a five star ratting cuz you can get to the juicy parts by tapping as fast as you can and it’s kinda addicting like best fiends but it’s cool and it’s a Text game to witch is a bit better but this game is cool I give it a 😍 great game

This app lets your read really awesome stories. U can even creat ur own. The only thing you would change is waiting 5 minutes to get passes.

This is a game for reading especially if you like texts this is mostly text reading it is the coolest thing I’ve got it gets my interest every time I read it and this is an amazing game 5/5 PPL!!

Amazing stories, realistic content, and scary stories!‼️
The only complaint I have is that we have to wait to read but other than that definitely one of my favorite apps 🤞🏻
