Didn’t work
by shdbebf on 2019/05/19 11:50
I bought this game seeing that it works on my device but when I bought it it says it isn’t compatible with it and wouldn’t let me get a refund
Don’t waste your money on this game
by Gcrino on 2019/05/19 03:24
18 had good graphics and fun gameplay, 19 is a disappointment.🙁
Hitting is too difficult
by Epatite on 2019/05/18 17:34
Even if you perfectly time the ball, it goes nowhere. The only hits that feel possible to get are soft singles up the middle, and even those are rare. I wouldn’t recommend buying this game. Not worth 5 dollars.
Please update!!

Love the game, but I finally made it to the postseason on my franchise but the games will no longer load

Every time I hit a homerun the game shuts down and the homerun didn’t count can u fix this problem ASAP
Too buggy
by avifrombrus on 2019/05/17 18:05
Using iPhone X. Game freezes, delays in response and bit fuzzy. Underwhelming.
Fun game, too many issues
by Official Al Dude on 2019/05/17 13:16
I started the franchise mode and played half the season without issues, but haven’t been able to play for past few weeks. The franchise mode menu screen is just blank. My phone starts overheating after a couple innings of play and starts lagging around the same time. It was fun, but I can’t really play anymore
Like the game so far but one problem
by Nickruff816 on 2019/05/17 11:06
So far I’ve loved the game and it’s been a lot of fun for me, I’ve put so many hours into the franchise mode. But the issue, with just a few games left in the season and I’ve already clinched, I decided to simulate the last few games, after I simulated it glitches out and took me out of the app, now everytime I go into franchise mode, there’s nothing, it loads up with the background and stuff but no buttons except the back button to go to the menu. I put days into completing a 52 game season and now I don’t even get to play the playoffs
Fun game but super buggy and kills your battery
by AllisonFam on 2019/05/16 04:36
There are so many bugs, they obviously should’ve waited longer before releasing this one. Players run through bases that aren’t 1st and get tagged out despite beating the throw. Also the game conveniently lags in time to make sure you can’t hit certain pitches. Love the RBI Baseball games but this one needs A LOT of work (that they’ll probably never do).
Good, but could be better
by _grad_ on 2019/05/15 12:04
For a mobile game, this is fine, however I still feel there’s a lot of things that should and need to be improved. The franchise mode is kinda bare boned, I feel like trades are accepted wayyy to often, even when I set the AI to be as realistic as possible they’ll still accept a couple of relievers for mike trout or any other star player. Free agency also leaves a lot to be desired. Contracts don’t expire, there’s no monetary system, and the whole thing kinda just feels like a throw in. I do understand that I’m not gonna be getting the show level baseball here, but I don’t think simple things like that are too much to ask for.
Amazing, but some issues
by Andrés F Vargas on 2019/05/14 04:47
I love this series and wish I could only say good things, but I have run into two issues that are worrisome. I’m running this game on an iPhone XS and have severe overheating after only a couple of innings of play, followed soon after by video/command lag that very obviously affects gameplay. I hope these are things that can be remedied with an update, since, aside from those things, it is a very fun pastime.

Did anyone test this app?
by Trivia Guy on 2019/05/12 00:02
Did anyone test this app? It’s constantly locking up on the last generation iPad Pro, iPhone XS, and 6th gen iPad all running the latest iOS.
I really wanted to like it
by Zebramall on 2019/05/11 23:54
I had really wanted to like it and give it a chance from last year. I’m even more disappointed this year. Graphics and text are STILL way too small on iPhone! There are STILL cut off text boxes under the camera notch! Lame update. Sure it would be better on iPad but I want to play it on my phone.
Not the best not the worst
by Givbs on 2019/05/11 00:10
Fun game and all but what I really hate is how much battery it uses. I got onto the game at about 83% and played for about 5 minutes and I was down to 75%.
This needs a dereck jeter like mode because he is my favorite player
by poooooooooooteredffp on 2019/05/10 20:50
You need to put in like a 2002 mode so I can play with Dereck Jeter please do that for me and olso it keeps making me delete the game and load it back and I keep on having to delete this game so many times and I am getting angry
Fun but much glitchier than previous versions
by 6'Mustachio on 2019/05/09 22:57
App is constantly refreshing , resetting the screen when you try to “hold” a button. Still fun - just wish these glitches were fixed and it was optimized a bit more
Glitchy, but great otherwise great
by Jdub22ou on 2019/05/06 16:15
Playing franchise mode. Game glitches a lot, but if I pause it for a while, it seems to fix itself. Weird that I’m only 81 games into my season, but all other teams have played over 100 games 🤷🏽‍♂️. All in all, I’m happy with it. Fix the glitches and weird things and I’ll give it 5 stars.
Postseason
by pitt567 on 2019/05/04 00:48
Won’t let me play in the postseason on create a team or whatever it is
I wish I would have listened...
by MrBaseball18 on 2019/05/03 03:03
The poor reviews are correct. This game stinks and was a waste of money. It’s impossible to hit and pitching is garbage. No matter what I do, every hit is a pop fly or a ground out. Not a fun game whatsoever.
Great for a mobile game
by _JT46 on 2019/05/02 21:42
The absence of pay-to-win was always a plus with this game on mobile devices. They’ve made massive improvements to the graphics while simultaneously improving performance. Solid 60 FPS on the iPad Mini 5. And the franchise mode is terrific. Again, it’s no replacement for The Show (still waiting for a Create-A-Player system!) but for a mobile game, the graphics, simplicity of gameplay, absence of micro transactions, and depth of content are fantastic.
Ok but needs to be more realalistic
by kkllujd on 2019/05/02 00:23
I like it and it’s fun. But I was stealing with josé Altuve and it made him slow! Need to make it more realalisitic.
THE GAME IS BLAND. SHOULD BE FREE
by WHY DOES THIS GAME COST MONEY on 2019/04/30 17:02
I’ve played free baseball games (with fake players) that are better than this game. The pitching is EXTREMLY LIMITED the hitting is DIFFICULT AND BORING . You can’t edit players. You can’t even see a players overall rating. Why would u make people pay for this bare minimum mlb game. INCREDIBLY DISSATISFIED. DO BETTER.
Great, but some bugs
by Reagan Barbe on 2019/04/30 14:08
I would give a 5 star rating if I could play the game right now. Whenever I went back to the game, it would freeze on the game’s logo. But today, it got to the team logo and froze. I am reinstalling it right now. Please fix this issue so I can play the game without having to do this again.
Don’t buy this game!!
by infinite flight pro on 2019/04/28 16:42
This game is stupid and it’s impossible to hit because even if you time it right. When I started playing started a season and the score against the d-backs was 38-0. In conclusion this game is garbage and hitting is stupid
SCAM!!!
by ajstylesfanboy on 2019/04/28 14:54
I bought this game this morning and started to login but it said it doesn’t work on my phone😡🤬 after it said below the app works on this phone
Could be better, but it’s fine.
by nyy_02 on 2019/04/27 02:29
Ok I’ll start with the bad. First off, there are so many hits that should be gappers or a double but the outfielders make a once in a lifetime play. It just doesn’t make sense and is unrealistic. Second, why make everyone advance a base on the base running pad? I had a sing up the middle with a man on second and I send him home. He should be safe at home but both runners advanced a base and they just throw to second before he can get home. It’s just frustrating and makes it a whole lot less fun. Also, if you could add a home run derby mode, or a MyPlayer type of mode would be cool too. And now, onto the the good. It is the only MLB licensed game and it is fun when it works. I really like the idea of a Legends Team. The postseason mode is very fun and intense (probably my favorite part of the game), once again when it works. Overall, it’s an ok game, but improvements can definitely be made.
Epic, Game.
by RBIGamerPerson on 2019/04/26 23:38
Just awesome...
Stats
by mgconroy on 2019/04/26 19:05
Neither the statistics nor the standings make any sense. Why bother to include them if they are not accurate? Also, the app still unexpectedly closes midgame. After seven versions, one would think the developers would have fixed this.
Ridiculous
by Jskinner871 on 2019/04/26 02:59
This game is made to make sure you can’t win. Have a great lineup of heavy hitters and not a single one can hit
Keeps crashing
by Wyatt Z on 2019/04/25 22:27
Game keeps crashing. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I have iPhone XR. Would be decent game except not enough control over pitching
It’s fun!
by Pherrrrr on 2019/04/25 20:06
My only problem with this is the pitching part I prefer the MLB9Innings19 pitching style of playing. It gives the option of what pitch I could use rather than direct a speed pitch it makes my most elite pitchers look like they belong back in the minors lol but overall fun game, I would personally just change how the pitching works. Please change it or modify it and it also glitches a lot and it shuts off while playing a game and when you go back to the menu it doesn’t show the game you were playing it just shows the background of your favorite team and just the “back button”
Best iOS baseball game - could be improved
by andy-appstore-reviews on 2019/04/24 19:53
Improvements: - throws from the outfield are always way more perfect than realistic - unable to easily see how good a given player in roster/free agent/trade player views - I’ve had a two crashes after hitting a home run in a critical game situation where the home run was lost after restarting the game - it would be better if you could choose what pitch to throw and its location using a more traditional UI - starting pitcher stamina is (unrealistically) restored to full after just a few days - occasional animation glitches where the player drops the ball but it’s ruled as a catch (or vice versa) Still the best baseball game out there that I’ve tried. Will bump to 5 stars if some of the issues mentioned above are addressed.
Hitting
by Redsox0000000 on 2019/04/24 16:16
I find it frustrating to hit. Balls are mostly in the dirt and it’s hard to connect for power. In other games it’s too easy. This I find impossible
Cheap
by Anita B. Jainow on 2019/04/24 15:19
Graphics could be better. I know it’s an app but still. Horribly scripted, CPU has no errors... ever. I’ve played around 20 games and still haven’t seen one. Not very fun and you can’t even really control the pitches. You have basic controls but it’s horrendous. I could’ve made the scripts better while typing with my back end.

Love is the games
More realistic
by Maveez on 2019/04/23 00:47
The hitting and pitching can be smoother but what I like about this game is the hitting miss more realistic. Batters can actually get bloop hits. They can hit balls down the line that will actually curve around the base into foul territory. Balls actually can go over outfielders heads. Fielding is a little better. You can actually throw away balls from the outfield when you throw it in allowing the runner to advance another base. The double plays are slower to turn which I think is better game play. Base running is a little better you can now move runners over from second to third on grounders to the right side. It's still hard to get a double on a ball hit down the line. It's still hard to score from second on a base hit but it is better. It's actually a little better going from guest to third on a hot, the runner no longer pauses at second The problem I have with base running is that it's hard for a runner to score from second on a base hit or the batter is limited to a single on a ball hit of the fence. I would like to see less line drives at the pitchers and maybe have rubbers move a little faster but it's better than the last version. I have played approximately twenty games and that is what I've noticed. I played on the hardest and my hitters are hitting over 390, so that's not realistic
Franchise mode won't load post-season
by electroMAN on 2019/04/22 02:19
I finished a regular season in 1st place but when I try to continue into the post season nothing happens. What a waste. Also the CPU seems to always magically get 100 times better whenever you take a lead. Like if you make a pitch way outside it will somehow reach across and smack a HR. The graphics are great but thats about it.

by DRKbadger on 2019/04/21 15:56
So I’m not into baseball a whole lot. I love nfl. But when it comes to gaming RBI has hit it out of the park. I’m in the World Series now. Although I’m playing on hard and it’s still too easy. PLEASE ADD SOME COOL ANIMATIONS FOR WINNING BIG GAMES. LIKE THEY DO IN REAL LIFE.
Way too Frustrating
by ron302 on 2019/04/21 14:57
Great game when it’s working properly, but the bugs are getting annoying, get through 7 innings then all of a sudden I got a locked screen with no batter, game has done this way too often for charging 7 dollars
Ugh...could be good
by GoldenBoySF on 2019/04/21 05:26
If you are desperate for a baseball game you can get this. But: - game lags during hitting which is incredibly frustrating - hitting is inconsistent - strikeouts are tough to get - feels lucky when you hit the ball hard and barely make contact when you think you have hit a sweet spot Overall I wouldn’t recommend until they make the gameplay smoother
Update crashes

by misterdaanyal on 2019/04/20 18:22
No tagging up
Baserunning controls are nonexistent.
by Nagrommit on 2019/04/20 12:44
There’s no way to control individual baserunners, leading to many TOOTBLAN* situations. It’s like they didn’t even consider this in the iPad version of the game. *Thrown out on the basepaths like a nincompoop.
Lotta potential very little value
by taco riots on 2019/04/19 20:12
This game is way too hard even on easy mode. It isn’t fun anymore I’ve been playing it for more than a month I’m not even sure I’ve won a game. this game must be designed for a professional video gamers because it’s beyond me. running a 10 year Franchise is a cool idea. for me the endgame experiences have not been rewarding enough to want to keep playing. The graphics look like a baseball game did on PlayStation one which is fine because I’m playing it on the phone. don’t bother downloading this unless you’re a real master. I mean no disrespect to major-league baseball it’s a great organization. It’s just that I’m running out of hope. (Review dictated but not read.)
Uses up way too much energy!
by LordGoody on 2019/04/18 12:59

Work for iPhone 6 Plus!! And iPad
So so
by DJB33 on 2019/04/16 01:57
Fielding is easy. The problem is batting. It is impossible to hit the ball out of the infield. I either fly out or strike out. Batting has a lot to be desired. They make it almost impossible to get a base hit.
Loved RBI 18. This is disappointing.
by AllyPally6 on 2019/04/15 22:28
Problems: - Slow and clunky gameplay - Phone is heating up way too much - Batting is very boring and not fluid - Fielding is slow and clunky The whole game feels slow and awkward. In trying to make it “look” good they have lost a lot of the fun factor. I loved RBI 17 and RBI 18. I don’t even feel like playing this one...very disappointing. Gladly I kept RBI 18 and will probably just keep playing that one.
Frustrating
by Mystery010101 on 2019/04/15 15:07
My first regular game was me the All-Time AL ( supposedly the best AL teams but didn’t see Babe Ruth) and the 2019 Yankees. I didn’t score until the top of the 6 and in the bottom of the 6 my opponent scored too. It lasted 14 INNINGS! And 42 minutes. It’s fun but very frustrating
Battery drain!
by birds79 on 2019/04/14 23:44
No issues with the game itself. Actually is a fun baseball game. But buyer beware it brought my battery down from 75% to 20% in 5 minutes of playing and my phone got extremely hot. I have older hardware (iPhone 6s) but in the game description said it was supported. Game is unplayable on a 6s.
It’s true - battery killer
by jason.normandin on 2019/04/14 19:30
Great graphics and realism. Reasonably fare hitting/pitching controls - not easy but not unreasonable BUT - This game runs HOT. Battery drain is substantial and I really can’t play this game for more than 20-30 mins. iPhone 8 Plus so hardware shouldn’t be a problem.
Been playing since the original NES of 1987
by Efficiency hound on 2019/04/13 01:27
Big improvements since last years game. Thank you MLB for continuing this game, celebrating the original and for not twisting it into a “freemium” garbage game that forces players to collect and open packs of cards. This game is so fun to play and sticks to the roots of classic arcade style baseball games. You can play quick games in about 20 minutes, the stats are pretty accurate, the batting is simple yet can be challenging at times, and the games have realistic scores. I’d love to see the addition of being able to create players and would like to see players in the dugout instead of having them empty. Otherwise, keep up the great game and thanks for continuing to offer this.

Fun and simple, but miss MLB: The Show
by Eternal Outfielder on 2019/04/10 19:07
Reminds me a bit of the old-school, arcade-style gameplay of Ken Griffey Jr. Presents Major League Baseball for SNES with graphics for the times, though it is no MLB: The Show. Batting and pitching are very simplified. It would be nice to be able to choose whether to hit contact/power, see more player attributes, warm pitchers up in the bullpen, to choose specific pitches and placement as a pitcher (it feels like it doesn’t matter who starts or who I go to for relief as stamina and slight variations in velocity are the only real noticeable difference), and to be able to manually jump or dive as a fielder... granted perhaps these options, enhanced dynamics and complexity are difficult to incorporate into a mobile platform. It’s very difficult to score from second on a single into the outfield, or advance to third from first on a ball hit to right field. Relief pitchers incorrectly inherit the baserunners left on from previous pitchers as a threat to their own earned run average. I play as the Mariners and Dee Gordon hit a 507ft homerun. A little unrealistic. Scratches the baseball itch, but best to keep low expectations.
A Tough One to Judge
by Tyler L. on 2019/04/10 02:38
On the one hand, this is much improved from previous years. They’ve come a long way from ‘15. It’s a solid mobile game and is easy to knock out an inning here and there. That being said $7 is a lot to spend for a mobile game that is a bare bones baseball title. I feel like you get a deeper experience with MLB Manager, for less, even though you don’t play the games. It would have been nice to include an HR Derby mode even if it was just a reskin of the HR Derby game.
Fun and frustrating. Needs work
by Digglersbro on 2019/04/08 18:30
This game is a lot of fun IF you put the time in to learn how it works which isn’t easy. You need to learn how to find the overall for the person and then individually go through everyone which begs for some form of easier way to view player overall so that you can make quick and easy adjustments and additions. The batting is a mix of awful and awesome. It feels realistic not pre decided like most games, but it’s nearly impossible to hit without 200% attention. You’re going to swing late for a while and not hit anything worth crap. Swing early, you’ll start figuring out the timing. My biggest problem is battery drain. This game is unplayable for that reason alone. Played two games, while charging my phone on the computer, dropped 28% battery. Went to the bathroom and changed my lineup and looked at free agents for 3-5 minutes and lost 16% battery life. This thing EATS battery and until that’s solved, it’s basically a frustrating battery draining simulator.
Don’t waste your money
by chris_308 on 2019/04/08 18:04
Where should I start? The game looks great, knocked the graphics and stadiums out of the park...but that’s the best part of the game. Pitching-Bland and uneventful Hitting-Horrible...disaster...probably the worst EVER for any game. You either pop up or hit it directly to a fielder, I played the game multiple times a day for about a month before deleting it. Overall-If you could rate a game lower I would, the developers should drive to your house and crawl on their hands and knees to give you a refund...I’d rather get gang raped in a prison shower than play this crap again.
Frustrating game
by JorgePR57 on 2019/04/08 02:30
Only outs you can hit. The CPU does not strike out all the pitches it hits.
Best Baseball Game on iOS!
by E Bathurst on 2019/04/08 00:39

Meh
by DkRuLzOg on 2019/04/06 04:12
Good ideas, though simple in practice. Very barebones, only offers a franchise mode and exhibition mode. Overheard my phone very quickly, whereas other games don’t at all (ES Blades, 9 innings, etc.). Very awkward animations and floaty controls. Very barebones pitching system, without even pitch types to choose from. No player rating system. Semi-frequent game breaking glitches, causing me to either have to restart games or an entire save.
Lame.
by Selecky on 2019/04/05 20:36
3 stars is as good as it gets. Hitting is ridiculous and borderline impossible to develop a good strategy. Move your batter during the pitch? Why... Fielding, computer does it for you. Graphics are decent, hence the 3 not 1 star. Trades are simple, you can get franchise players for two bench guys. Overall it’s not a terrible game, just finding it hard to understand how it’s worth anything more the .99 ( or free)
Good, not great
by Cptwano on 2019/04/05 09:48
I love having a mobile baseball game that I can just purchase and not have to worry about in game purchases. I have a few things that would be nice additions down the line. 1) Pitch selection. I like games that allow you pick a pitch type, then select location. This feature would be great! 2) More home runs. This is a video game. Home runs are fun! I’m doing a franchise, and 85 games into a season my leading home run hitter has 13. That’s kind of lame for a simulation game. 3) I know this is petty, but I like realistic stats. Relief pitcher’s ERAs get affected by runners on base that should be charged to the pitcher who allowed them on base. (I know, I’m a geek) Also, sacrifice flies count as at-bats, and they shouldn’t. 4) The league leaders page doesn’t allow for overall view, only breakdown by position. By position is a cool view, but you should be able to see all batter is you want that view! Overall, a very good game, smooth graphics and decent game play. Fix these few things and it’s a 5 star game!
Overheats
by mpetkun on 2019/04/04 03:43

Can’t Hit
by 1hamlett2 on 2019/04/04 00:55
If you like really really realistic baseball don’t get this game. I have played many games now and here is my take. 1. Pitching doesn’t matter throw anything and the computer will do what it’s going to do. I just throw normal speed over the middle less chance of home runs and you get lots of outs. I have even struck out batters this way. Tried all the other pitches they still hit it. 2. Runners are all slow and they all run at the same speed. Triples are impossible without error. 3.fielding is okay outfielders are all golden Glover’s. 4. Hitting is probably the most realistic for me for it is very difficult. If the cpu wasn’t so good at hitting everything you pitch it would be okay. 5. Controls pretty good and intuitive. With all these things wrong it is still fun to play. I just wish I could hit better.
It’s okay...
by stevepic1 on 2019/04/03 23:53
The pitcher could throw the ball into the dugout and it’d be a strike though.
Incomplete and unpolished
by AppKile on 2019/04/03 18:46
Franchise mode has no depth whatsoever. Batting is too difficult even on easy. After playing for an hour my screen went black but the music kept playing and I had to close it. Complete waste of money.

Missing Batter and Ball
by bwoos on 2019/04/01 02:12
Loved playing this game until my batter disappeared and the ball. Game has a major bug in it.
Should let people that have a 1 GB ram iPad play it.
by 0730beastmode on 2019/04/01 00:02
I hate the reason I can’t play this game because it’s 2GB to play so I can’t play it I really wanted the upgrade because new players on new teams but nope 1GB ram can’t it. I don’t think it’s fair because I know a lot of people want the upgrade but they can’t have it if their device is a 1GB ram. Please fix!!!

Hitting is terrible. Miraculously when I’m batting the defense happens to be standing near where the ball is hit. Timing doesn’t seem to matter. In franchise mode unknown players or weak players have the best stats while Mike Trout and Aaron Judge have are some of the worst players. Attributes need to be fixed as does hitting and/AI fielding. Pitching is as expected for RBI. Has potential but right now I’m frustrated and I don’t recommend this game at all. Save your money until these issues are addressed

ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO HIT THE BALL LET ALONE FAR
Bad Controls
by Zaf444 on 2019/03/31 18:29
Franchise mode is not upgraded from last year. Those mechanics are the same. The gameplay felt a lot better last year. Can’t steal bases anymore. This game is still fun but it took a massive step in the wrong direction. I logged probably at least 60 hours in RBI 18 just for reference.
Needs more variability
by jonzagibson14 on 2019/03/31 14:57
I’ve played > 25 games, only several defensive plays exist. The pitcher knocks down or catches the ball 8-10 times per game, which would never happen in real life. Impossible to get a triple or hit a double down the line. MUST have realistic pitching velocities consistent with what the pitcher actually really throws - for example, Verlander doesn’t pitch over 93. MUST have independent runner option for advancing and tagging up. PLEASE change player stats bar during game from HB / SB to HR / RBI / OPS. Make it more like what you would see on TV.
Easy Mode Is NOT Easy
by Albmchsd on 2019/03/31 02:09
I have the difficulty set to easy mode, but I CANT win! How is that even possible? This is NOT fair!!
Not worth it
by Dybkgfburfh on 2019/03/31 02:08
The game is worse than R.B.I. 18. The game has tons of bugs and freezes. It is hard to move the character around because the pad to move them is so far down in the corner. The games graphics are absolutely terrible. Until they fix these issues I recommend R.B.I. 18. Just trade the players to make the rosters correct.
The worst baseball game I’ve played in awhile
by m1cthm4c001 on 2019/03/29 22:32
Every part of this game is built to be frustrating, from the cheers every time your opponent does well in your own home stadium to the awful voice commentary. The fact the Chris Davis had no issue straight up stealing 3rd base on me, says every thing about the realism in this game. The hitting isn’t fun and ends up being too frustrating for a mobile baseball game. —DO NOT BUY—
Postseason Problems

Amazing graphics and controls!!
by Mrauerbach on 2019/03/29 21:48
I absolutely love this game/version! The graphics are stellar abs the controls are even better than last year. However, my iPhone begins heating up after playing for about 5 minutes, and shortly after my screen dims. I’m not sure what can be done from the developer’s side, but it definitely needs something. Otherwise, I love this game after only a week of play!!

I was really looking forward to playing this game. This is the first year I bought it. But I am EXTREMELY disappointed with it. It’s impossible to hit the ball unless you’re swinging before the pitchers throws the ball. Also, I cannot play postseason games. It won’t let me advance. This is by far the worst baseball game I have played. Please fix it. It seems like this game was thrown together without any effort. I feel like have wasted $7.

by aviatorJS on 2019/03/27 16:51

It’s fun!
by Pherrrrr on 2019/04/25 20:06
My only problem with this is the pitching part I prefer the MLB9Innings19 pitching style of playing.

Can’t Hit
by 1hamlett2 on 2019/04/04 00:55
If you like really really realistic baseball don’t get this game.
I hope these are things that can be remedied with an update, since, aside from those things, it is a very fun pastime.

by Jdub22ou on 2019/05/06 16:15
Playing franchise mode.

Meh
by DkRuLzOg on 2019/04/06 04:12
Good ideas, though simple in practice.

Stats
by mgconroy on 2019/04/26 19:05
Neither the statistics nor the standings make any sense. Why bother to include them if they are not accurate? Also, the app still unexpectedly closes midgame. After seven versions, one would think the developers would have fixed this.

Franchise mode is not upgraded from last year. Those mechanics are the same. The gameplay felt a lot better last year. Can’t steal bases anymore. This game is still fun but it took a massive step in the wrong direction. I logged probably at least 60 hours in RBI 18 just for reference.
Cheap

Graphics could be better. I know it’s an app but still. Horribly scripted, CPU has no errors... ever. I’ve played around 20 games and still haven’t seen one. Not very fun and you can’t even really control the pitches. You have basic controls but it’s horrendous. I could’ve made the scripts better while typing with my back end.
Fun but much glitchier than previous versions

App is constantly refreshing , resetting the screen when you try to “hold” a button. Still fun - just wish these glitches were fixed and it was optimized a bit more
Not worth it
by Dybkgfburfh on 2019/03/31 02:08
The game is worse than R.B.I. 18. The game has tons of bugs and freezes. It is hard to move the character around because the pad to move them is so far down in the corner. The games graphics are absolutely terrible. Until they fix these issues I recommend R.B.I. 18. Just trade the players to make the rosters correct.
Not the best not the worst

Fun game and all but what I really hate is how much battery it uses. I got onto the game at about 83% and played for about 5 minutes and I was down to 75%.
Can’t advance to postseason
by Snapdragon808 on 2019/03/27 06:34
Game play was fine, AI is a bit more difficult in this game compared to the previous, which I enjoy... it makes the game more challenging. Only problem that I’ve come across is you can’t play postseason games, only sim them. Fix it!!

Good game but major issue
by XXgelod on 2019/03/27 22:11
It’s a fun game but in the franchise mode once I get to the playoffs it won’t let me play, I can press the play button but once I do I’m locked in the screen and I can’t do anything else cause it doesn’t work
Battery drain!
by birds79 on 2019/04/14 23:44
No issues with the game itself. Actually is a fun baseball game. But buyer beware it brought my battery down from 75% to 20% in 5 minutes of playing and my phone got extremely hot. I have older hardware (iPhone 6s) but in the game description said it was supported. Game is unplayable on a 6s.

Glitchy, but great otherwise great
by Jdub22ou on 2019/05/06 16:15
Playing franchise mode. Game glitches a lot, but if I pause it for a while, it seems to fix itself. Weird that I’m only 81 games into my season, but all other teams have played over 100 games 🤷🏽‍♂️. All in all, I’m happy with it. Fix the glitches and weird things and I’ll give it 5 stars.

by MrBaseball18 on 2019/05/03 03:03
The poor reviews are correct.

Epic, Game.

Stats
by mgconroy on 2019/04/26 19:05
Neither the statistics nor the standings make any sense. Why bother to include them if they are not accurate? Also, the app still unexpectedly closes midgame. After seven versions, one would think the developers would have fixed this.
Ridiculous
by Jskinner871 on 2019/04/26 02:59

Ugh...could be good
by GoldenBoySF on 2019/04/21 05:26
If you are desperate for a baseball game you can get this. But: - game lags during hitting which is incredibly frustrating - hitting is inconsistent - strikeouts are tough to get - feels lucky when you hit the ball hard and barely make contact when you think you have hit a sweet spot Overall I wouldn’t recommend until they make the gameplay smoother

by taco riots on 2019/04/19 20:12
This game is way too hard even on easy mode.

Baserunning control could improve
by TheyCallMeYou on 2019/04/06 22:38
For instance... advancing the lead runner while the others return to the last bag. This would increase runs scored instead of having everyone run simultaneously.

Meh
by DkRuLzOg on 2019/04/06 04:12
Good ideas, though simple in practice.

I absolutely love this game/version! The graphics are stellar abs the controls are even better than last year.
It’s fun!
by Pherrrrr on 2019/04/25 20:06
My only problem with this is the pitching part I prefer the MLB9Innings19 pitching style of playing. It gives the option of what pitch I could use rather than direct a speed pitch it makes my most elite pitchers look like they belong back in the minors lol but overall fun game, I would personally just change how the pitching works. Please change it or modify it and it also glitches a lot and it shuts off while playing a game and when you go back to the menu it doesn’t show the game you were playing it just shows the background of your favorite team and just the “back button”

by Nickruff816 on 2019/05/17 11:06
So far I’ve loved the game and it’s been a lot of fun for me, I’ve put so many hours into the franchise mode.

I hope these are things that can be remedied with an update, since, aside from those things, it is a very fun pastime.

by electroMAN on 2019/04/22 02:19
I finished a regular season in 1st place but when I try to continue into the post season nothing happens. What a waste. Also the CPU seems to always magically get 100 times better whenever you take a lead. Like if you make a pitch way outside it will somehow reach across and smack a HR. The graphics are great but thats about it.

I had really wanted to like it and give it a chance from last year. I’m even more disappointed this year. Graphics and text are STILL way too small on iPhone! There are STILL cut off text boxes under the camera notch! Lame update. Sure it would be better on iPad but I want to play it on my phone.

Love the RBI Baseball games but this one needs A LOT of work (that they’ll probably never do).

by LordGoody on 2019/04/18 12:59
Playing this on an iPhone 7 and my phone gets really hot after a few minutes of play. Drains the battery real quick as well.
Still the best baseball game app
by aviatorJS on 2019/03/27 16:51
Some minor glitches, like helmets being grey instead of the team color with certain uniforms.. but all in all a solid baseball app for the iPhone. I really like that you can now choose the opponent’s uniforms as well.
Add some flair when winning playoffs or WS!
by DRKbadger on 2019/04/21 15:56
So I’m not into baseball a whole lot.
Could and should be better
by Josh1772 on 2019/03/27 01:28
This is the first year I’ve played RBI Baseball. The pitching system needs to be changed ASAP. Take a look at games like 9 Innings where you can choose what type of pitch and placement. Batters feel like they swing too slow. Positives: good graphics, good animations, good franchise mode
Best Baseball Game on iOS!
by E Bathurst on 2019/04/08 00:39
This is a great port of the console game to iPhone. Only modes not on it are the homerun derby and online exhibition, which I don’t mind at all. Worth the $7 and really fun to sit down and play a game or two on the go!
Baserunning control could improve
by TheyCallMeYou on 2019/04/06 22:38
For instance... advancing the lead runner while the others return to the last bag. This would increase runs scored instead of having everyone run simultaneously.
Stats
by mgconroy on 2019/04/26 19:05
Neither the statistics nor the standings make any sense. Why bother to include them if they are not accurate? Also, the app still unexpectedly closes midgame. After seven versions, one would think the developers would have fixed this.
Cheap
Fun but much glitchier than previous versions
by 6'Mustachio on 2019/05/09 22:57
App is constantly refreshing , resetting the screen when you try to “hold” a button. Still fun - just wish these glitches were fixed and it was optimized a bit more
Not worth it
by Dybkgfburfh on 2019/03/31 02:08
The game is worse than R.B.I. 18. The game has tons of bugs and freezes. It is hard to move the character around because the pad to move them is so far down in the corner. The games graphics are absolutely terrible. Until they fix these issues I recommend R.B.I. 18. Just trade the players to make the rosters correct.
Not the best not the worst
by Givbs on 2019/05/11 00:10
Fun game and all but what I really hate is how much battery it uses. I got onto the game at about 83% and played for about 5 minutes and I was down to 75%.
Fix it!!
