Please fix the bug

Enjoying the game but the random crash bug is annoying. Also would be nice to have a pve only option so that the weak don’t get slaughtered by the strong.
Game is NOT Star Trek
by insertnane on 2019/12/11 13:30
Biggest problems are that the game is designed to be a predatory, player-eat-player mess. Players that shell out hundreds of dollars will always be able to beat you up and take your resources. Bases are upgradeable to ‘protect’ some of your resources, however the amount is extremely small and only a fraction of what you actually need to save up to do upgrades. If you want to keep people from raiding you, you have to shell out money to buy ‘peace shields’. Also, stupidly, you can’t use several smaller shields at once to have a longer shield, so your 1 hour and 4 shields are useless because you can’t cover a night of sleep or a work day with them. It only takes a few MINUTES for people to raid you and loot all your stuff, so even small gaps in protection will ruin you. Advancement is impossibly slow unless you shell out tons of cash. Upgrading officers and ships will literally take years without shelling out for multiple $99 bundles. Unlocking the base faction ships is doable with many months of farming, but anything above that will take you YEARS to unlock. Keep in mind that the resources you need to upgrade your bases and level are the same resources that upgrade your ships, so you can’t do both. So...years to upgrade base, then years to unlock a ship, then years to UPGRADE the ship. Gaining levels actually HURTS you in many ways. Quests you could complete yesterday are now impossible because the level of your target ships goes up.
Why only 3 stars.

I have been playing this game for about 3 weeks and as of yet to receive a loyalty chest but for the most part it’s really a great game.
Game mechanics don’t work
by Wootylir on 2019/12/11 12:44
Going on 3 weeks now one of the primary game mechanics don’t work. The systems don’t always load ships that are there and don’t allow you to see status of a node you need to mine making the game difficult to play. It’s been 3 weeks and still no repair.
Way too glitchy!!!!!
by Tonio513 on 2019/12/11 11:38
I like this game, but it is waaaaayyyyy too glitchy. You can’t really get into it without the game crashing when you are trying to accomplish something. Crashing is the least of the problems, the biggest problem is some of the star systems don’t load up when you go to them. They show the mining stations, but when you try to send your ship there it turns up blank. Can you guys fix the irritating glitches please?
Long term strategy game
by iSentient666 on 2019/12/11 06:46
I don’t need to add another positive review as so many people have done a better job at it than I will. However, the only complaint I can summon here is that the app is buggy AF. Half the time, you are unable to view and select various items in the solar system view. The interface turns into a simplified model of what’s really happening and I end up having to restart the game every five minutes. Hopefully the developers can fix this issue.
No incentive to improve
by Apostate Cultist on 2019/12/11 05:10
The game has become unplayable not by other players or the mechanics behind PvP but Scopely’s refusal to address bread and butter issues related to just programming. Often, many systems just show up blank and enemy patrols are invisible and hit you instantly as soon as you warp into a system costing you resources and time. The only viable work around is to restart your device every five minutes because the app uses up all available flash drive memory. I cannot tell if it’s sloppy programming, or malicious intent just to drive you crazy. The point is, Scopely has broken the game worse then when it came out of beta just for unfettered growth. They always produce new content to keep the whales entertained with no regard to the fans of the series or the casual player. I’m quite convinced they have nothing but contempt for the average FTP player. I can handle the PvP aspects, but the fact that I have to restart my device every 3-5 minutes depending on system traffic is a travesty. Until they fix basic issues I urge everyone to boycott purchasing anything. Has anyone read their new terms of service? It’s truly manipulative and overbearing.
Glitchy, expensive, time consuming

Broken game
by dhaysod on 2019/12/11 04:08
STFC is a good idea poorly executed. First, it is a Pay to Win game. Not anything necessarily wrong with that, but you need to know going in that you will be burning up your credit card if you want to get anywhere. Secondly, over the past three weeks the game has been so broken that it is all but unplayable. Solar systems won’t load. This means that you can’t see both the players and the NPCs in system. This makes it next to impossible to do missions, mine resources, PvP, and PvE. Since those are the principle actions of the game, if a system you need isn’t loading, you pretty much are dead in the water. Something that never breaks is the store where Scopely takes large amounts of your money selling you things you need to advance in the game. They seem to be incapable of hiring competent coders to fix the system loading problems or the game crashing on a regular basis requiring a reboot. So at this point I recommend you stay far away from this game. I don’t begrudge a company getting rich off a good product, but Scopely is getting rich are a buggy piece of partial code.
Good game but went south
by trudisei on 2019/12/11 04:02
Was a good game for a while, but now pretty glitchy and a waste of time. It takes forever for galaxies to load, meanwhile your literally watching for changes and actual minutes go by before it loads. Not sure what happened but I hope they fix it soon. It was a fun game.
Pay to play
by Fakename bob on 2019/12/11 01:54
You have to spend money to play higher levels and to get access to all the games futures, customer service is as helpful as a cat meowing at the moon. Useless like the programmers who fill the game with bugs with makeshift coding, systems go blank where you can not attack or mine, you get attacked and killed without even seeing the hostile coming at you. They do not test their own updates, every time they introduce a new addition to the list of bugs. Developers are in the server I play in and magically the alliance they are all in wins every single event. Avoid this game at all costs
Is this a beta?
by HamptonTight on 2019/12/10 23:18
This game is extremely buggy. Systems don’t load in after restarting the app a dozen times. You can’t get the resources you need if you can’t see them. Plan on opening the wallet up completely or else you are fodder for the credit card captains.
Unsatisfactory customer service
by Maddog198525 on 2019/12/10 22:53
The game has a lot of glitches that players all complain about and the players get the run around from customer service telling them they don’t have an ETA when they will fix issues with rss tiles not showing if they are occupied, NPC ships not loading in a system or showing where the mission location show the ships to be, kicking players from the game by locking up the game and forcing players to restart it, systems not completely loading into the game properly. I have been player for over three months and still have not gotten the 7 day loyalty box or the one month loyalty box.
Support stinks

Walkout
by Ringthane on 2019/12/10 20:17
It used to be an ok game. Now with so many glitches in the game it is nothing but frustrating. A great number of us are planning to walk out on Christmas’s Day if the glitches are not corrected.
At best an ok game, if you can put up with all the bugs.
by GameQuake on 2019/12/10 19:28
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE (12/10/2019): The bugs in the game have pretty much taken over at this point. The developers are either incapable of fixing any of the bugs or have no desire to fix them. The game is seriously imbalanced, level 39s can attack level 25s but the lowest level a level 25 can attack is a level 20. It’s pretty shocking how clueless the developers seem to be about their own game. This is my final update as I’m done with the game. There’s simply no reason to waste any more time with it because real positive changes will never happen. UPDATE: The developers added new content to the game and a new ship. Apparently they have read some the the reviews about the pay-to-win problem so the new ship can be purchased and won through contests. Naturally the people most likely to win the contests for the new ship are the people who already spent money on other ships. So while technically this new ship can be acquired without paying the reality is it cannot. True to form the developers have added two rounds of new content to the game while ignoring existing bugs. Unsurprisingly the bugs are getting worse and we are seeing still more bugs as time wears on. The latest bug causes the game to crash intermittently and as frequently as every 5 minutes. Do yourself a favor and avoid this game. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is your ordinary pay to win game. The developers make no bones about it and reserve the best ships for those people willing to pay money. There isn’t even the option of getting access to the good ships without paying. If you do decide to play this game and want to be competitive then you will have to open your wallet. When it comes to paying we aren’t talking small change, all of the purchasable ships are in the $20-$50 range so get ready to pay through the nose. You will also have to put up with bugs and the developers deem all bugs low priority. Their only interest seems to be coming up with new ways to get you to part with your money and all development effort is expended toward that end.
Buggy and no fun

Good game turned terrible
by Kennedycg on 2019/12/10 05:10
I have been playing this game for the past 4 months and really enjoyed it. However the past 2-3 weeks has made it unplayable. Can’t load systems and when they load they are blank. Everyone has been complaining about it but nothing seems to be getting done. I will give it another week and then I will quit playing!
Pirate rules
by Pastor RayJ on 2019/12/09 21:39
Good game, great graphics, and I enjoyed it - UNTIL all the super strong ships started coming through and destroying everybody to steal resources. There’s nothing you can do about it either. Until Scopely puts an end to the coward thieves, I refuse to play this game any further, because the pirates keep everyone from moving forward. Not worth the time anymore.

Another fun but shameless money grab game
by Demandred99 on 2019/12/09 10:01
The good- you fly Star Trek ships around, build a base, and have fun options for pvp and pve. ‘Free to play’. Alliances and player made rules of engagement that dictate when it’s ok to shoot other people’s ships. The reality- free to play but you’ll never realistically progress unless paying. This isn’t an angry post- just posting the truth. The grind becomes an impossible time investment. Getting the best ships involved waiting for special events where you can obtain blueprints to build them (note that 1 event never provides enough blueprints). You will literally not upgrade anything for months after maxing you’re base and research while waiting for the needed ship event. Or just buy ship blueprints when available in a special pack offer (note you will need to buy several packs for all needed blueprints.) Overall- a fun game but I don’t recommend downloading or playing unless you plan to spend at least $40 (if not much more) for each ship. Otherwise you will waste a lot of time and let’s face it, life is too short to waste time! If you plan to spend, you will have a good time for a bit.
Doesn’t work

Whole star systems fail to load rendering the game unplayable.
Pay to win or be stuck in the grind
by iOSUser4590 on 2019/12/09 06:47
The game started out really fun and fast paced. Tons of low-level missions to get you started, and super easy to upgrade. However, level 10 opens PVP, which makes resource gathering more cumbersome. Other players will knock you off mines after you have gathered more than your protected cargo limit, or just because they can. Level 14 opens up base attacks. Now here’s the kicker -there are three resources that can be raided in base attacks. Those resources are available to buy with real world cash. If you buy a package, don’t use those resources right away, then get raided, you effectively just funded another player with your own cash. Also, a couple of weeks ago, Scopely released a big feature update (warp cancellation), which promptly broke the whole game. Now, for a PVP game, you have about a 50% chance that when you enter a system, you won’t be able to see any other players or hostiles, even though the system is full of those ships. This makes resource mining particularly difficult, as you can’t tell if any of the mining nodes are actually open. Support recommends exiting and re-entering the system, but in my experience this rarely corrects the issue, even after multiple attempts. The other recommended fix is to manually force close the game and restart. With real-time game actions going on, this is a huge disadvantage - you can miss out on mining opportunities or even a good PVP battle. Finally, the pricing for in-app purchases is totally over-priced for the value. The only way to keep up a fast pace in development would be to fork out hundreds of dollars a week. Many other games with in-app purchases offer inexpensive monthly subscriptions on the order of $5 to $10, providing daily resources. Scopely offers no such route for the budget- conscious player. Instead the purchases are limited to $20 and up (yes, as much as $99 for some bundles). Right now, even though I really like the overall game concepts, I am frustrated that Scopely appears to have invested no significant effort in fixing the terribly buggy system introduced with their new features, and the super slow pace of the higher levels. Strongly considering no longer playing.
Good to play, but......
by MIEMT-B2001 on 2019/12/09 04:56
It is good to play, but there are II glitches that needs to be hashed out. One of the major glitches is when you go to view a system to see if you can mine resources like ore, that it will show a spinning wheel and you can’t see if ship is mining the ore. Another glitch is that if you go to a system and try to see if there are swarm ships that you can fight, etc., it sometimes show empty space when you know that there should be enemy ships at. A third glitch is that if you tap on your home base from whichever system you are in, it would say that it is preparing to take you back to your base and it would stay on that for awhile. I have had to force quit the app, just to restart it and try again. I also agree with one of the other reviewers that you would get attacked by higher level players when you just barely begin mining resources when you don’t stand a chance against them. I will keep playing the game. But until the glitches can be corrected and/or fixed, this app will not get any more than a three star rating from me.
Buggy and EXPENSIVE!
by Blue924 on 2019/12/09 01:13
The game constantly crashes. It also fails to load systems properly. The system appears to be empty but it is not. The offers are really expensive. You could buy 2 or 3 games for the price of a couple of upgrades. Buyer beware.
Great idea, but just a quick money grab
by aelmore001 on 2019/12/09 00:48
Absolutely horrible support. Game is 100% a money grab scheme. Also, an insane amount of bugs. Sometimes the game is unplayable. Horrible customer service. Horrible company. Seriously, if you aren’t willing to dump thousands into the game, don’t play.
Game is completely broken
by usmarineaway on 2019/12/08 22:51
Scopley.... you guys are absolutely incompetent! For the money people spend on this game... your game is the WORST game ever. -forced log offs, game glitches, etc. I hope people start suing your arses off!
Good game but to many glitches
by joe5551313 on 2019/12/08 20:44
I have played this game for a while now and for the amount of money you need to compete in this game you think they could fix the glitches. Have member of my alliance quit because of it. If it keeps up I’m out too. So frustrating!!!!! It’s like the developers don’t even care they get their money either way.
Terrible tech issues and gameplay
by Wolfex on 2019/12/08 15:19
If you like constant grinding and having all the resource you worked hard to collect stolen by players several levels ahead of you that you can’t compete against them this is your game. You really need to spend a lot of money in this game to win. You need to spend a fair amount of money to even compete. There are a lot of technical issues in the game too. It constantly freezes or crashes. Also some systems don’t load correctly so you can’t see npc’s, players, or resources in those systems. Overall it’s a poor quality game that ruins the Star Trek brand.
Awesome game

Buy or die!
by Icyraven on 2019/12/07 20:16
You cannot play a good game like this to have fun when people who spend hundreds of dollars getting ships ten or more times powerful that anything you can build playing. The needed resources are outrageous and again you need $$$. If you try to mine the resources then someone who spent $$$ comes along destroys your ship and steals you resources you spent time mining. The times needed to build ships, buildings and resources can take more than a week unless you spend a lot of $$$. It could be fun but allowing bullies that did not work to improve their ships, who just spend a lot of $$$ slaughter other players over and over is not fun and is very aggravating. They even sometimes offer a “bonus” for stealing resources.
Good luck

You’ll spend money...and when it glitches they’ll say sorry we’re aware of the problem and we’re not going to do anything to correct or make it right it for you. Disgusted by this greedy and crooked company.
Greedy, glitchy and poorly structured gameplay.
by baspears81 on 2019/12/06 23:39
Where to start? First of all Scopely is GREEDY. And sadly they do very little to disguise this fact. If you want to play this game for free, you’re not going to get very far. They start their offers for $4.99 and $9.99 which disappear after purchasing one and are replaced with $19.99, $49.99 and $99.99 packs. And once you purchase one of the $19.99 packs, they become scarce and the $49.99 and $99.99 packs are mostly what’s available. So, you start playing the game.. you have to mine resources and materials (this takes HOURS to do) which are required for building your station and ships, research, repairing your ships and upgrading your ships. The raw materials need to be refined in the refinery, which you can only do in 9 hour intervals, to get you common refined, uncommon refined and rare refined. There is no set amount of refined you will get from the amount of raw materials (ie. you refine 3600 raw material to get for example 1800 refined material from it) its completely by chance. So you could refine 3600 raw material, there’s a possibility you will only get 1 common refined material from it, but you need 300 rare refined to upgrade your ship. Now, be careful and spend those hours watching your mining ship mine those resources and materials because if you don’t, another player can destroy you and if your cargo has passed the protected limit (which is insignificant) and take those resources you just spent hours mining for. Now, this wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for the fact that your ship has a power level of let’s say 20K and can be destroyed by a ship that has a power level of 175K. How are you to defend yourself against a ship like that? You can’t. The PVP structure is a complete joke. It goes off your operations level, not the power level of each ship. It starts off keeping the levels close (ie. level 10 can attack up to level 12, 11 can hit 10-13, etc.) until you get to level 20, then it goes completely lopsided. Level 20’s PVP range is levels 18-24, level 21’s range is levels 19-27, level 22’s range is levels 20-30 and 23 is levels 21-36(I think). So, if you have people who have paid GREEDY Scopely to supercharge their upgrades, you stand no chance. Particularly if you’re on a server that has people who go around killing everyone for no reason. There is no Rules of Engagement unless each individual alliance has their own version which they may or may not actually follow. Then comes into play the glitches, which are currently so bad that when you click on a system, you can’t see anything but nodes which you can’t click on, no players, no computer hostiles, nothing. You exit the system and re-enter and that doesn’t help. So, you force close the app and restart it, this doesn’t help. This has been this way since the 6th of November, no updates to fix it. So, you contact customer support which is pathetic, unhelpful, unfriendly and basically they tell you to deal with it. They give you no answers whatsoever. And their “how to play” is laughable, it really doesn’t give you any information you need. Customer support doesn’t give you answers other than to check out the wiki or reddit, which is all user information. I mean, can the developers not give answers on how to play their own poorly coded game? I’m not surprised that there is a class action lawsuit against them already. But, I am fairly surprised that Apple and the App Store hasn’t forced them to correct this or remove the game from the App Store altogether.
Lucky Mr. Roddenberry has a huge fan base!
by admiral SaeCok on 2019/12/06 22:14
If you like paying to beta test a game this is for you! I have been playing for awhile now and truly feel Scopely doesn’t understand the meaning of finished product! Every time they get things ironed out and you think it’s getting better they introduce something new and are months fixing the glitches! If spending money to beta test groups to get 95% of the glitches worked out before releasing it publicly is too much to ask I’m sure there are tons of Trekkies willing to volunteer for the chance to have a early view and understanding of the new stuff before the rest of the gamers. Most of the people I talk to have stopped coining simply because of the glitches and the fact that most of the packs offered are in the $100 range and don’t give a long term advantage for the price!
Issue problem
by it suk on 2019/12/06 18:02
This game is bogus. there issue problem like freeze loading getting log out while playing and they have not work on those bug too bad lazy developer and bad customer support it puts a black shame mark on the star trek franchise waiting for the franchise to revoke their permit to use the star trek name why did this app get a four star ratting on this app store all the reviews are bad and a majority if it is only one star and on most apps the developer at least comments or reply on the ugly reviews they received to resolve on the issue , and that four star is stupid there are a lot more one and two stars on all the review how in the hell did it get a four star and those four or five stars are probably employees or either relatives of the developers to sell this app the app store should change that cuz its not even ISO friendly

Unplayable sadly
by Derelictbjj on 2019/12/06 15:28
I really try to like this game. It’s a castle builder that’s not set in a fantasy setting. There are familiar characters and storylines. And there is a bug that is over 2 weeks old that makes it so you can’t perform most actions. You can’t see enemies, can’t farm resources, and can’t see quest targets. It’s made me very sorry I’ve spent money on it.
Play to 15 then quit - not for casual players
by bri-nerd on 2019/12/06 14:46
This was a fun, five-star game until level 15. At 15, you become a PVP target. You spend vast amounts of time, and in some cases a bit of money on in-game purchases, to build your ships and base. It’s a great experience. At 15, that all changes. Prepare to have it all stolen from you by higher level players as you can’t toggle PVP off. I reached level 19 before I’d had enough. When you make an in-game purchase only to have all of the resources included in those purchases stolen by asshats, the pain and problems inherent in the game get real. You’re losing real money, at times. You can’t play this game as a casual player. You have to watch it 24 hours a day. I went out to dinner with my wife for three hours and lost millions in resources. I was done. Give the game a PvP toggle for casual players. Otherwise, it’s not worth the effort. You’re just building your stores for someone else. Your time is better spent playing Lemmings.
Worst gaming company ever
by deadpoolschoicen on 2019/12/06 14:27
The game its self is alright and has a lot of potential. But the company that created the game are the worst. The game is so glitchy and they don’t seem to care to try and fix it. Worse, they don’t seem to care about their costumers. Most companies will give out free resources as compensation for their games mess ups, but not Scopley. Plus the game is a giant money grab. All there packs are a 100 dollars and Scopley stops you from grow once you hit the mid level 20s unless you buy 100 dollar packs. It’s a total pay to play game, not really free to play.

Crash, Glitching players. Do Not Pay, just use it for free.
by Allig8t0r on 2019/12/05 22:31
Play it for free first before dropping money on it. Gave them some money since the game type is my favorite, looks great, played about 10 hours no issues, then after updates crash randomly, freeze, glitching player hiding on there ship on planets to avoid being attack. Resource can not be mine, no players or bots in system, but bunch of resource. You can look but not touch. Going to ask them to refund, if not then calling credit card. Also removed game and reinstall did not fix. Would give them a “Zero”.

At first this game was fun despite all the glitches. After buying all the $5, $10 and $20 packs I noticed they disappear from the store and you can only by $50 and $100 packs. These people must think we are a ATM machine or everyone has money to throw away. They made it where if you don’t buy a pack your progress is extremely slow. And the free gifts they do give you don’t put a dent into the resources you may need once you pass lvl 20. I’m not saying you can’t get the resources you need by playing the game without buying a pack, you can! But here is an example why it’s hard. “I need 3 star resources and I spend 5 days looking for any open 3 star resources with no luck”. This game has a lot of glitches with which I can understand. But what I can understand is why they made it for only one class of people (people who are rich).
Bad coding, greedy owners
by Hot4Blonds on 2019/12/05 16:42
I was attracted to this game because of the concept, however from the very beginning it has been fraught with nonstop coding errors, glitches, and other gaming issues. In addition they don’t give you enough resources to play the game, forcing you into positions to have to buy things. And what is offered to buy, is never enough for what you need. Forcing you to purchase again and again. A large part of the game is mining for resources, and there are never enough nodes to mind the resources you need. And if you attack another player you’re booted from an alliance. Between not having the resources you need, not being able to mind the resources you need, and having nonstop glitches and coding errors in the game, I would just save your time and effort and find another game. Will never get involved with another Scopley game again.
Horrible, horrible, horrible game
by The Tuck Family on 2019/12/05 14:44
Game requires you to spend hours and hours of time gathering resources, yet there are serious bugs that make that difficult and the developers refuse to address them. Player interaction is toxic, with almost no protection for lower level players against power players. Server assignment is not controllable, so you get what you get, and there’s no way to change to a more civilized server. Stay far far away from this “game”!
Fix the bugs!!!!
by ZacharyACole on 2019/12/05 13:06
I play this game everyday, but recently when entering a system it won't show any player or hostile ships. At first it only happened on rare occasions, but now it's literally every other system I enter. This has got to be fixed ASAP. It's ruining the game. As someone who has spent their hard earned money on this app, I feel that if you're going to have a pay to play aspect to the game it's common decency to give the paying customer a game that functions in its most basic capacity. I feel ripped off
Great game for bullies
by BoonerMN on 2019/12/05 13:05
If you love to have your efforts be stolen by other players, this is the game for you. I spent 3 months collecting resources in the game even purchasing some to level up. I made one mistake and lost it all over night is the space of 5 minutes. When I asked Scopely about the possibly of recovering the purchased resources, I was given a condescending FOAD. Don’t get started in this game. You will only end quitting in frustration as most of my friends have.
Constantly bugged
by Peaboken on 2019/12/05 12:37
Poor programming results in endless bugs. Scopely fixes one thing and results in two other things broken.
Glitches
by 42Alpha. on 2019/12/04 19:06
I do enjoy playing the game however their are a few problems that need to be address. When I go into a system I can’t see any other ships only the nodes which look like they are empty but they are not.also the game itself keeps shutting off and restarting. Those two issues that need to be fixed.
Glitches Galore
by gone rouge on 2019/12/04 13:23
This could be a fun game, but with all the frustration of everything needing constant and time consuming upgrades and repairs, there is a constant push to get you to spend 20 bucks here 100 bucks there to keep game moving. Then the glitches! It makes it hard to continue to care about playing at all. With all the money they are raking in, you’d think they’d spend a little to make the game actually work.
Extreme PvP
by URgunnaDIEclown on 2019/12/04 12:21
The graphics, sound effects, and base building are great. Combat is lack luster. You find another ship on the map (literally a triangle) and hit attack. A few sound effects later, one ship is destroyed, one comes out with reduced shields and hull. I am not a fan of PvP MMO game aspects, but most games I find that I can choose to avoid them. In this game, there are some PvE elements, but mostly all PvP. To advance, you must mine resources using a resource ship (you can use a combat ship, which is much slower). This can be attacked at any time. You can be attacked at any time while grinding ship combat as well. Your base can be attacked and resources looted. This is the kind of game where it’s good to be at the top, everyone below you is your PvP resource farm, and it’s impossible to advance without spending money to be competitive. Being that I find PvP frustrating, this is the most extreme form I have ever seen of exploitation by PvP, and the lack of depth in combat, I have to give this three stars. It was a lot of fun at low levels without the PvP
Too glitchy
by DeeDubYA731 on 2019/12/04 10:33
Freezes up too often. I lose a ship almost every time it happens. I am about to quit playing.
Started off great, fizzles pretty quick
by Dad or daddy on 2019/12/04 08:25
I used to think this game was fun until you can attack other players stations and steal their goods. If you think being a HUGE DB is the way to go, then this is the game for you. So disappointed in how this games pans out. Has a very cool element, but as usual, the few screw or up for the many. Save your time and money and play checkers.
Would be great if it worked
by Spicoli2020 on 2019/12/04 03:40
This is by far the glitchiest game I have ever played. There are ongoing problems that make the game almost unplayable. The developers keep producing new and expensive content, but cannot seem to put any effort into fixing ongoing gameplay problems. I am out.
Awesome....but

Scopely’s cashes in with Star Trek all the while not understanding the franchise
by UssHuntly on 2019/12/03 01:38
I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews here and there is a really good reason for it. This game is terrible. No, like really terrible. Every review hits the nail right on the head with its technical issues. Not to mention the abhorrent game play. However, what I haven’t seen mentioned so far is the fact that this game only represents Star Trek by name and icons only. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Scopely is sued by CBS for using the trademark name. And if they are indeed using the name with permission, then shame on CBS for allowing it to go to market. In what universe does Star fleet ships go around destroying others for their cargo without just cause? Not in any Gene Roddenberry universe that I know of. Scopely is blatantly using Trekkie fans to make a buck and the sad thing is that they have no freaking clue how the world of Star Trek works nor do they care. If they have bothered to make this game in a way that respects the Star Trek universe, they may have gotten a few bucks from me, but since it’s obvious they didn’t, they won’t get a cent from me. I’d be hard pressed to believe any real fan will enjoy this game. Don’t waste your time.
Set phasers on RIP OFF
by Logaloo on 2019/12/02 03:31
This has so much potential. Graphics, music, design are all top notch but it’s designed to make you spend WAY TOO MUCH. $100 for upgrades which are basically never enough of what you need. There is an option to mine for supplies but there’s never enough of the much needed items; there’s a long wait to get to mine but here’s the main problem; if you mine, another player can destroy you and take what you’ve collected. It’s based on some idea that your fair game to be robbed. So you either sit and watch the game for the hours it takes to mine supplies so you can warp away if you feel a threat is coming to destroy you, or you can go live a life and get a crappy message that another player got to keep everything you tried to mine for the last two hours. So now you have to pay hundreds to get what you needed...this is obviously a way to make you spend money. You can mine but not really but for $100’s of dollars you can get those supplies you need. This isn’t the way the Star Trek universe works; I never remember any episode about factions robbing each other. And it’s just a way to encourage bullies to take advantage. I’ve spent too much to find out about this scam of a game. I URGE YOU TO SKIP IT. Unless you want to waste lots of money or have incredibly rude players rob you, (the players who rob you are ALL rude and entitled about this behavior) I recommend you move on and avoid wasting your time by a con job of a company and it’s a pure money grab disguised as the beloved brand of Star Trek. Again, skip this abomination. You’ll be happier!
Constant issues
by Marty Manic on 2019/12/01 23:59
The game concept is excellent but the implementation is awful. Game constantly has crashes and bugs which make it almost unplayable. Resource nodes are broken, systems are broken and developer response is poor.
Game is floundering, no new meaningful content.
by P.wee...... on 2019/12/01 22:19
Would have given it zero stars if I could. The new content they do add is buggy and they refuse to fix the old content. Game is a complete money grab. It is not even finished yet after a year. Don’t waste your time or money stay away far away.
Horrible update full of bugs
by Banner33 on 2019/12/01 19:02
This last update has ruined the game. Shields failing before they should, players quitting because of it. Half the systems I go into to mine are ghost towns, can’t lode the mining nodes. Have to restart the game over and over. The doesn’t include all the other times the games crashes by itself. Can’t lode the interior on my base half the time, get stuck loading and I have to restart. Scopely needs to get their act together.
Last patch killed the game
by sherloch001 on 2019/12/01 18:19
Systems regularly won’t load data, ships don’t show up commonly, mining nodes are bugged. I have to restart the game regularly just to get a ship mining.
Starts fun, then it’s a scam
by JMan18788 on 2019/12/01 16:49
It starts off entertaining. I encourage you not to spend any money on it. The first packs you see are 5 dollars. Then 10, then 20. Then each and every pack of consequence is 50’or 100 bucks. The game has many players that have spent thousands and will eventually rob you of any resources you do buy unless you too spend thousands of dollars. This is not an exaggeration. It requires thousands to be competitive. So enjoy it at the lower levels, and when you hit a wall, quit. Or...spend 5-10 thousand dollars. Anything less and you will buy resources only to have then taken by the big spenders. It’s a shame, the game has potential. But I learned a lesson with this game. It’s a scam. I should note that their customer service is horrible. It’s a cut and paste response of “I’m sorry, we can’t help you” signed by a different and obviously fake name each time.
Slow AF
by atlpro on 2019/12/01 15:43
This game is slow AF! The missions take you on a 10 min round trip journey. And then you have to go to dry dock for repairs. I’m still playing but not as much as I was before. I don’t want to spend an hour waiting for only 3 mins of play.
Big waste👎
by BumperHigh on 2019/12/01 14:44
Too much developer control. Can’t hardly play the game without being locked out for god knows what. Lots of money spent for no progress. Can’t mine nodes. Can’t find missions. Can’t hardly do anything but wait for what ever. Don’t waste your time or money.

Great game but LOTS of bugs
by maxxscape on 2019/11/30 23:15
Love the games but it seems the more features that are introduced, the more bugs crop up - Today, after the update, the bugs were the worst I have seen - I stopped putting in tickets after the last response was - restart the game, it seems to work for everyone else - Restarting the game is not a valid response IMHO -especially in a situation like today, restarting the game more than playing it it really takes away from the game in a very bad way - you would think that with all of the money grabs going on thay some more talented people could be hired to focus on working thru the bugs, some long standing while the existing team works on the money grabs.
Still needs better development
by Some other Chad on 2019/11/30 22:41
The game has a nice premise and (if the developers can fine tune it) a fair execution. There are so better fixes like the stop warp button, plus some of the team items.... BUT.... the game is a money pit with any complaints that you have being answered over a good bit of time if ever. That said... it is a decent game to play with the tons of glitches and issues. If you have a issues with your ego; you can get goaded into dumping insane amounts of money into the game. Some of the fellow players are great people to play the game with. Some not so great; human nature after all.
Star Trek Fleet Command
by Warlord1949 on 2019/11/30 22:28
Great concept poorly executed. Very labor intensive and EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. the USS Franklin side plot is a big ripoff. Lack of dev support ruins the experience as the game is very buggy and crashes frequently. If the bugs were fixed and leveling up wasnt so expensive it would be fun As it stands SKIP IT Its gotten much worse since the last review. Omg what a garbage product. No dev support. BIG RIPOFF
More bugs than a sailor coming back from fleet week
by JonMT129 on 2019/11/30 20:33
This game, like my ex works about half the time and still doesn’t bother to give you an accounting of itself. Half the resources are unavailable because of game glitches and bugs. There are too many players fighting over too few resources once past level 21. For example, there are 6 locations per material type to mine level 3 materials, there are 1,000s of players, bigger, badder, and ballsier than you are. They WILL decimate you. FACT. Which doesn’t leave any real opportunity for character development and progress in the story, even if one pays about $100 a week, as I do. Playing this game is like paying a hooker to rob you.
Buggy and expensive
by Total 321 on 2019/11/30 16:00
First let me address the buggy issues - I’m playing from the newest generation iPad with 128 gb, I play in excess of 5 hours a day and I’m a lvl 26 player. The game locks up or becomes unresponsive 5-6 times during the day and since the new release I can look at a mining field but the display shows no ships there even though it’s loaded, I’ve also had my base attacked while the peace shield timer showed that it was still active. Cost of play - Once you hit lvl 26 the cost for advancement or staying competitive goes to at least $100 a month and more if you really want to be competitive, guys in my alliance are usually splashing out $200 - $400 a month, so this game is more for the well to do! It is the most expensive game I’ve ever played and the creators never give you any meaningful rewards, there is a lot of little meaningless rewards that they disguise. final thoughts -In the end I’m probably going to leave the game even though I’d like to stay
Whoops!
by TiredOfThis... on 2019/11/30 00:44
The only way to get VIP is paying for it? That’s a mistake. Making active players work for weeks, to earn merit rewards, and then tossing them garbage, is and has been a mistake. I’ve been an active participant, daily... Long enough to know Things aren’t right here.
Buggy Buggy Buggy
by ProfFate on 2019/11/29 22:09
Game is fun, albeit time consuming. However, the fun is quickly taken away by the bugs in this game...stuck in combat, header info at the top doesn’t go away (they say they fixed this, but nope), empty systems that are actually full...they just don’t load, and more. Forget even trying this on an iPad as the game will crash 3-4 times/hr.
One Fatal Flaw
by Bad Habits on 2019/11/29 20:58
Overall this game is a fairly good title for a Free to Play, but it has one single flaw that completely overshadows everything good about it. It’s an Player-Versus-Player environment. This turns a game that is an otherwise decent but grind heavy game into a pay to advance money pit.
“Live long with profits” corporate vs “Live long and prosper” fan
by KindredDragonSpawn on 2019/11/29 01:51
If you downloaded this app, it is because you are just like me and many others. As a fan of the Star Trek Universe we are typically compelled to try out this game. What we want is to experience a small glimpse of what it’s like to be part of the Star Trek Universe. So here are my reasons for the rating. The game is fun and interesting to play. However as many other players have problems regarding once you pass LvL 10. The fun begins to leave a bitter taste in you mouth. The game isn’t designed to be fun and enjoyable. It is designed for profits on top of profits. You will be bombarded with players who are 2 times to even 10 times more power than you, even only being 1 to 2 LvL’s above you. From exposing you to this you will be left with no choice but to buy in to become stronger, only to figure out after spending over $19.99 that it’s going to cost more. Next thing you know you have spent more money than a person who works at McD full time in a week wage. Personally in my opinion they should implement some changes. Faction vs Faction, LvL vs LvL tiers. Opinion to play PVP mode to PVE mode ( changes have a 1 hour cool down ). Imagine being able to play without some random jerk who has the jellyfish ship with 50k-100k power against your 10k even though you both are the same LvL. Players who are AFK farming a node ( any type of resources) completely depleted but still over the node, should auto move them away so other players can farm as well. There are many other improvements they can do to make this game more worthwhile to play and still make profits without having to kill joy the experience of it all. This game can be fun and can be worth the time to play, but the developers/owners of this game believe that it’s “ Live long with profits “ vs “ Live long and prosper “ how this game has a 4.4 out of 5 is beyond me. I wouldn’t doubt that fake ratings exist or the fact that players can’t change their rating once it’s made. Reason I played for some time before giving an honest rating review. So I’m just going to leave this for now.
Don’t waste your time
by LocoCaliente on 2019/11/28 02:17
Initially has a lot of appeal and moves fast but eventually takes for ever to build anything and in the mean time under constant threat by other very more powerful players wiping you out. Don’t waste your time. They blew it with this one.
Hopeful the problem can be resolved
by Tweets7711 on 2019/11/27 21:39
Once the game is installed and I open the app, it only loads to 82% then gives an error message that there is a problem loading. The choices are Help or Reload. Reload does not work and the Help section does not address the issue.
Extreme Pay-to-Win
by ThE eViL iDiOt on 2019/11/27 19:25
When I first started playing 10 months ago, this would have been a 4 or 5 star review. Since then, the game developers have turned this into a giant cash cow and they don’t care about the community. As many of the reviews have stated, if you intend to play past level 15-20 then be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars to stay alive or level up. Your base cannot generate enough resources by itself, so mining is required. While you are trying to mine an additional 30 million resources, your base must be protected or it will most likely be raided by higher level players. Many of these high level players have spent thousands of dollars on their base and ships to ensure they are the top players on the server. With that said, good luck fighting back. As an example of the disparity and pay to win, the developers changed how base defense is calculated to make defending your base easier. Two weeks later, the developers rolled out a $100 pack targeting high level buyers so they can go back to one-hitting bases. The $100 pack was accompanied by several other $100/each packs to increase the strength of the ship. Between poor game mechanics and the extreme pay to win disparity, the game is unplayable at higher levels and has a toxic community. Avoid downloading, spend time elsewhere.
A game for whales and bullies
by noblenickel on 2019/11/26 21:25
Don’t play this game unless you plan to spend a lot. It’s pretty slow and not well thought out. The designers just made more changes to the combat and station defense that favors high level players raiding smaller lower level players that have no viable defense and no possible revenge. Several mechanics of the game are broken including officers’ abilities not working at all etc.
Cool, but poor client service and expensive
by CptAnderStevens on 2019/11/26 18:00
Like the game and love Star Trek. But, buyer beware! To advance in game is very expensive and often glitchy and occasional crashing of game. The worst part is customer service people don’t care about your issues and always take the position the user is wrong. I believe on more than one occasion I was cheated out of rewards for $99 in game purchases. I still play because I like the game and frankly I am rich. However Scopely’s attitude toward clients is the worst I have ever experienced. Expect to spend and don’t expect help.
Excellent game, garbage programming (no offense).
by NACA (348th) on 2019/11/26 03:52
The game is overall great, with balancing measures put in to protect new and unpaid players. With the new update that enables ships to drop out of warp before reaching its original destination, my only frustration with gameplay had been dealt with. However, the game has its flaws in the programming. There are numerous bugs that are difficult to reproduce reliably but frequently occur, listing the examples: 1. Sometimes ship drops out of warp immediately at the destination of travel, which is within the system and not on its boundary (where it should). The ship is then unable to perform its task of mining or attacking. Reentering the game shows the task has been performed. 2. Mining the same spot with two ships results in the first ship to arrive being recalled. 3. Some hostile ships are shown, but cannot be interacted with, and cannot move. For example, the level 13 Pakled Thief on the top right corner of Bellas. 4. Sometimes the map shows a ship staying at the location of departure when warping. These minor problems do not significantly affect gameplay, but are easily observable.
Another resource farming game
by Rob.M on 2019/11/26 03:39
If you enjoy hours of resource farming just to move up to the next level, repeating the process over again with several more hours added to reach the next level, then this is your game. Not much more than FarmVille in Star Trek skin. Additionally, the game combat is terribly unbalanced. High level trolls have all the advantage and there’s little new players can do to avoid losing hard earned resource to raiders. So even if you enjoy that sort of game play, you’re likely to be frustrated by how often your hard work amounts to nothing.

Glitchy App
by liberalblues on 2019/11/26 01:35

Can’t relocate to a different server , can’t repair multiple ships at once , can’t declare war on another alliance or deem them an ally to change the color of them to single them out to find .. o and did I mention that this game is CRAZY EXPENSIVE!! With low yield ! If you ain’t rich , you ain’t getting anywhere on this game .
Game is not for Kids
by True Trek on 2019/11/25 20:41
This is a fun game. I enjoy leveling up my station and ships, mining, and completing missions in the Star Trek theme. For some reason this rated for ages 4+ but it is not for kids. There is a chat on this game and it is used by certain individuals and alliances with vulgar names and they use a lot of sexual and references and hate in their discussions. You can also individually message people which could lead to problems as well. Unfortunately, some of the people who play this game don’t follow what Star Trek was truly about and they go around pillaging and attacking ships needlessly. It has made the game less true to its theme and less fun to play. Hopefully the game developers address these issues and restore the theme of Star Trek back to this wonderful game.

Yes this is a beautiful game but way to many problems. Devs acknowledge an issue after you raise it with them multiple times. Can’t offer any support. I was refunded all money spent on this game from apple thank god. Half of the game and abilities do not work buy a bonus and the bonus doesn’t even work. It’s a money grab and it’s a shame it is associated to Star Trek name:(

Don’t waste your time or money!
by Elder8 on 2019/11/24 23:15
This game is nothing it a money racket plain and simple. Now all games ask you to buy certain things to help you progress faster, but in this game you MUST buy things in order to advance certain aspects of your play. If you don’t spend you simply get trampled and robbed (and yes I literally mean robbed) by others that have and will pay2play. My simple opinion but I am deleting this game because it requires nearly 24/7 baby sitting if you want to keep anything you acquire or earn. It is simply not worth the time effort or money it takes. And don’t bother to complain to the developers if something on their end costs you ANYTHING. They are totally useless!!!
Ruined, don’t bother starting
by Fmaaaass on 2019/11/24 15:07
After the newest balance update the developers have ruined the fast paced raiding atmosphere where even f2p players could be competitive if they were active and gathered resources into a boring static scape. The majority of players are now stuck in the basic mobile app grind for even less reward than before, while they wait for some big spender to come see up their hard earned resources. If you download it, you will become a farm. Also the “support” team is still horrible.
Buggy and pay to play
by raphaelc73 on 2019/11/24 00:20
For the amount of money that the developers make, you would think this is a stellar game to play. But, don’t be fooled. It feels like this game is being hosted on a suped up Commodore 64 in the basement of one of the developer’s parents. I’ve seen and have been bullied in the game which is comical to me. Seriously though, in order to move up in the game you’ll need to pay. I fell for it, so please don’t fall for it. This game is not worth the latinum. Play other games which have better support and graphics. This is not one of them.
Glitchy
by Tom12345678 on 2019/11/22 19:33
Decent graphics and fun missions but that’s where it stops. Game is very glitchy, crashes frequently and there are performance problems. As for game support, well, you get canned replies, support will not work with you or address your concerns. Changing to 1 Star. With latest updates games crashes constant, hangs, and in general is no longer enjoyable. Unless you pay you won’t get very far and Scopely only cares about making you pay. Customer support is getting worse and are pretty much telling you to take a home.
One major flaw. Game breaking
by PandaGeorge on 2019/01/26 19:53
If youre reading this is bc youre considering the game. The game is super fun. Lots of grinding. Its fun. Ive been hooked since Xmas and ive not used my xbox since because this game has me dominated. So here’s what the main game breaking issue lies. All the way to lvl 15 you can attack people in your range , im at 14 and can kill from lvl11-17; thing is the station becomes pvp able at lvl15, and WHOEVER at WHATEVER lvl can come and destroy everything you have making you literally unplayable. I have beared witness people with ships at 275k power being able to crack open bases from lvl15 and take all. There is no cap. And WORSE ALL, you can buy packs to help improve which i have no issue with. Problem is i can spend $20 on a pack of resources than will be stolen a minute later. That part of the system is broken. It allows people to bleed money they cannot use in game bc of timings. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed otherwise you cannot enjoy this game. If you are a player that spends cash( again, zero issues here with that) the possibilities of losing it all before you can use it its there. Regarless of game shields you cannot stay 24/7 guarding your cash
To boldly play no more.

I’ve been playing this for little over a month now and it’s been a lot of fun, exploring the universe, the missions and building up my station has been enjoyable and the alliances have been nice and so for there’s been little grieving from other players and alliances which have been fun. But sadly all that has come to an end, with the release of the new event the alliance wars. It’s made the game pretty much unplayable. Within the time so far I’ve watched entire sectors that were once filled with people now empty besides these high level players that swoop in to kill any ship in the area, they have a 4-5 level on an of the other ships in the area and we can’t even mine with out a ship being hit not even 5 minutes out. Before there was a stable but easy truths with players not to attack ships unless at war or over capacity, but now it’s just chaos. Players aren’t leaving there bases now out of fear of being attacked. There’s no way unless you pay to have any level of protection. Just a little bit ago I was chased from three different sectors by higher levels ships in level 13 they were 15-16. Even after I jumped to a lower level area I still found 15 in 10-11 level areas attacking any ship they find. So unless you have a high level ships or you are willing to pay money for temporary protection there’s almost no point in playing right now after level 10.
Still in the Alpha stage of development
by =FishCracker= on 2018/12/13 04:31
I love Star Trek and so I have been excited to jump in and play. I am probably about 30 hours into game play and while I really have enjoyed the concept but definitely missing the mark. There are consistent issues with glitches and bugs. Menus or buttons will break and you won’t be able to exit or interact with anything. Notifications will get stuck and you won’t be able to get rid of a badge even though you’ve already acknowledged it. After about level 10 you are able to attack and be attacked by other players. Which would seem exciting except for there are no natural barriers that separates players. So it doesn’t matter that you’ve advanced to a certain level, someone that is 3x your power can easily attack your ship and destroy it. You can also do the same to others. The challenge is if you’re trying to complete missions or mine resources it is inevitable that within a few minutes you will be attacked and destroyed. As your ships become more and more powerful it takes longer and longer for them to repair. So get ready to wait 30 minutes to an hour for your ships to rebuild every time you login. I could go on about the things that aren’t quite there but this game has wasted enough of my time. Overall, great concept and if you have a week to blow on this game then do it. After that you’ll prolly get bored of it like so many other players and delete the app.
Starts strong finishes weak, poor service
by Delivery Errors on 2019/02/03 13:21
Do yourself a favor. Read the reviews, the star levels are pumped up, do the math. I have deleted this app. When I first started the game There were only a few bugs and had more than enough resources to help build. As with any strategy game when you progress resources become more scarce. Today there are more bugs that cause the game to glitch or just quit and when it does you lose all your hard earned Dilithium for no reason. I notified their customer service twice with no response. Once you pass level 9 it is next impossible to mine Dilithium And Other raw elements to help you build your ships upgrade your supplies and materials and station. I am at level 14 and won’t go beyond because once you go to level 15 then your station can be regularly attacked by others. The problem with is that just about everybody is subject to trolls. You can’t mine for minerals longer than five minutes before somebody is fighting with you and killing you. To keep up with everyone you need to buy upgrades. It starts out cheap at $5 but after you buy one or two you can only buy$25 items, then later only $50 items are available. If you ever watch the advertisement on TV the play of the game is nothing like that, you don’t see any video clips or epic battles. The commercial has nothing to do with the game. I started out enjoying the game now it just not worth playing. Don’t waste your time unless you got money to burn.

Play to win players have the advantage with better ships stronger bases. Makes it hard to mine resources as the play to win folks have the jellyfish at 40k+ strength that just destroyed your mining ship even when unprovoked. Selling the jellyfish packs so soon was a mistake as it was expensive($28 partial pack $70 for full pack) and made play to win players have the complete advantage so early in the game. You can do missions and get SOME pieces but they are almost impossible to find. Events are made super short usually around 6-11 hours and the events are to upgrade station and officers to certain strength and it takes more than 6-11 hours to complete it for the top prizes. You have to save lots of speed up or be play to win to complete the events. I also created an alliance and the system is terrible!! I can’t tell who is offline or online and for how long. The daily missions which requires you to kill certain level hostiles takes forever. It feel likes the game rigged it. When I need to kill level 15 hostiles there is only like 2 in system 4 at most I seen and it’s impossible to kill when there is also 3 other players trying to complete the same task. And when I don’t need level 15 after I leveled up they suddenly appear everywhere and the ones I actually do need the level 16 and the 17 which was common when I was hunting lvl 15 now suddenly dropped in numbers.
Starts good but doesn’t last
by adarkartist on 2019/06/11 22:20
Starts out fun exploring, missions, and resource gathering. But the closer you get to level 20 the less point there is to playing anymore. If you do the missions you eventually hit a point where your expected to kill ships that are over twice the power of your current ships, and to tier up your ships take forever unless you pay $$$. The resources needed for tier up and upgrades have to be gather, but mining vessels get destroyed before you can gather. And the fights become pointless, example: ship A power level 17k, ship B 120k power level. Ship b attacks every ship in the area, player with ship A wiped out, obviously. Ship c power level 11k, ship A cannot attack ship C because the level difference is too high... and yet having a ship with over 100k pl difference attack is perfectly fine. Don’t waste your time unless you want to spend hundreds of $$$s. Even someone of the same level can buy designs giving them 10s of thousands of power difference. While you think you can get the same for free and it will just take longer, that is not the case, I’m level 19 can’t do any of the missions I have because anything I have to fight is 2x the power level of my ships. Or they want donations of resources that max capacity doesn’t cover. Can’t mine anything without getting destroyed by ships that shouldn’t even need the resources I’m mining.
Seriously unbalanced
by Hsutxman on 2019/04/30 04:02
This game started out extremely fun. Who wouldn’t want to fly around in a starship, blow up hostiles, complete missions and engage is some friendly PvP. There are numerous pay walls as you progress and with a maximum level of 50, hitting a major pay wall at 19 is ridiculous. I spent just over $2k on the game and made it halfway through level 27. Upgrading structures and buildings takes 3-4x more resources than your station can possibly generate on its own. The change in resources needed as you level is exponential and not linear at all. At lvl 27 I can generate and hold ~3 million par steel. Building upgrades cost upwards of 10 million. It is absurd that on order to level up the station you must spend $99 per pack and probably need 3-4 packs to gain a level. Also, pack purchases scale with your station level. At lvl 1, packs give substantially less than at lvl 10 and even less at lvl 20. Packs shouldn’t be tiered to give more at higher levels. Packs should not scale whatsoever and simply give less benefit as you gain levels. Either that or make all packs scaled to what they would give at maximum level. The individual servers are run by those who spend tons of $$$ Because they have the most powerful stations and make the rules. I am quitting the game mostly for this reason alone. My recommendation is that unless you have a massive disposable income or are keen on massive credit card debt I would steer clear of this game entirely.
Wish I could give it 5*
by bryanscott75 on 2019/03/02 23:33
The concept behind the game is fantastic...but there is a very long way to go before it is 5* worthy. The PvP scale is WAY off. That needs to be addressed. Why is there no kind of alliance battle log? There are battle reports per individual, but leadership cannot see what is happening with our members. Why is there no way to check member activity? We have strict standards of activity, but the only way of knowing, is physically seeing a ship in motion, or seeing them in chat. Dead mining nodes are a huge problem. Lack of nodes for the amount of players are another. The uncommon material drops are preposterous for the amount that is required for upgrades and research. Who ever came up with that algorithm should be fired, and someone with half a brain put in their place. I’m at a complete standstill in building and ship upgrades because of this stupid wait time between refining materials, and the insane drop rate of uncommon. Now moving on to the ‘store’. May as well call it the black market. $100, just to be able to get ahead...Seriously ? This game is geared toward those that can afford to drop serious money to make any headway. And is in NO way friendly to those of us that have to work for what we get. Needless to say, there are numerous issues to address before your fan base drops, and business is lost.
Online bullying is encouraged by scopely
by tribbleTrouble357 on 2019/05/22 12:57
This game can be fun and a welcome diversion at first. However the game designers have encouraged an environment that promotes bullies. The bullies in the top alliances continuously raid bases and destroy the miners of players and alliances that have no chance of fighting back. When you are bullied the game designers want you to become enraged and buy packages for ship and base upgrades so you can ‘defend’ yourself. What you don’t realize is that these packages cost $100 and will only give you enough to sometimes level something up. You still can’t defend yourself against rich people who dump thousands of dollars into their account to stay more powerful than honest players. Oh and there is also the fact that if you buy upgrade packages, the abusive players can steal that from you too. I was a hardcore player for several months and I spent nearly $1000 on packages and upgrades. I was planning my sleep schedule and social schedule around the game and when it would be safe for my account for me to step away for a few hours. I reached level 23 and I was fairly strong for my level. However, I still couldn’t compete with players that spend thousands of dollars on the game, and I was just cannon fodder or a cash cow for the in game bullies to steal from. I walked away from the game and deleted it from my devices; I’m much happier now. TLDR: Don’t bother downloading this game.
Abhorrent Customer Support
by Ax5645 on 2019/04/28 15:18
I contacted apple about the developers micro transaction policy. My son whom is the actual player of this game, had accidentally purchased multiple packs because, as I found though research, when you tap on an item to “build” in game or whatever it says “speed up” with no confirmation dialogue or anything it simply uses in game purchase able currency. What’s worse, you can tap on one item out of a list of 4 and the menu randomly jumps between items after a tap. So you could accidentally purchase multiple different things when intention was to get one. My son ended up getting 3 of the packs this way. I contacted the developer because APPLE DOES NOT CONTROL in app microtransactions. The developers do. After literally 25 separate emails of the developer saying “We can’t it has to be refunded though apple” and me replying to them with apples app policy and apples emails saying it’s developer controlled I am now here. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS GAME. The company is now on my list of fKd up developers. Shady practice jumping menu items around to get players to waste money. Especially since they clearly know that this is the case which is why they feign understand and try to redirect you to apple support. If I worked at Apple I would delist this application and all others from this developer. It makes a terrible reflection on Apple as a company for allowing this crap to go on.
Slow Game Play But Very Fun
by LouieR5135 on 2019/07/18 20:15
The game is extremely fun to play and addictive in the beginning it’s easy to upgrade and you can pretty much gain all the resources necessary endgame to upgrade but it is a grind my recommendation would be to join a very good alliance from the beginning that supports you teaches you about the inns and outs of the game and even help you gain resources and protect you against bullies in the game because let me tell you this game has lots of bullies in it that constantly attack weaker players one of the things I would add in this gameWould be Easter egg like prizes that would be random of course but would encourage players to stay in and play to try to get these where the prices would be extraordinary allowing them to advance things like 100 hours of speed ups or combination of speed ups big swaths of resources instead of little tiny ones that feed you with a bird dropper people want to advance that is in our nature and if it takes them five weeks just to try to get it shipped to compete less people are going to stay in the game and play but all in all I give it five stars because it is a lot of fun and the possibilities are pretty much endless
Money grab
by Startrekkin58 on 2019/01/07 06:03
It’s sad that this is being passed off as a Star Trek game when there’s very little Star Trek to it. Mine, blow other ships up, attack bases, etc. might all sound fun but it’s not. Mining can take HOURS, during which you’ll get attacked and destroyed by some jerk who bought a super unbeatable ship during the first days of release for $50. And when you’re destroyed, you lose part of what you mine. So it’s one step forward, two steps back. Upgrading takes 8+ hours to days on end. Alliances are helpful but only up to a point. It’s literally kill or be killed and currently the top alliances are solely focused on blitz attacks on lower level players because they can. The response is “hey it’s just a game, relax.” But therein lies the problem. You’ve taken away anything that can be fun about it and made it incredibly frustrating. To stick around, you either have to play for 18 hours a day or make purchases for resources and faster upgrades. I caved and bought a few, thinking it would take the target off my back and maybe allow me to enjoy the game without constant barrages. It didn’t. I played since day 2. Spent maybe $60 and I’ve had enough. Uninstalled and frankly I’d like my money back but I know that’s not happening. Don’t bother downloading unless you like your eyes glued to your iPad 24/7 and you don’t mind constant ambushes. Does anyone remember when Star Trek used to be about exploring?
Don’t waste your time....
by J MSW/PHD on 2019/02/10 21:19
I would give this less than a 1 Star if I could. On the surface, the game seems good. The concept of Star Trek is what got me to play. However, the game should have never gotten out of Beta. Most of the crew abilities don’t work, ship abilities don’t work, ships randomly blow up in space dock, ships jump out of warp with the “timer” off meaning you can’t do anything and you get blown up by hostiles resulting in wasting resources... need more resources, no problem you can BUY them. When Scopely bothers to push updates, they roll back the power of your ships and base. What does this mean, BUY more stuff to get back the power you already paid for. Silver lining, APPLE has refunded many, many people some even 100%. However, even though you get a refund for what you paid for that Scopely rolled back, Scopely will then kick you from the game, or reset your game back to day one and put you on a different sever with no way of changing servers. Mind you, they kick you even if you didn’t get 100% refunded, meaning they took your money. Their reason, you broke the terms of service... despite they negated your purchases in the first place precipitating the refund! Buyer be ware, Scopely has a horrible BBB rating and extensive complaints about this game and others. You would be better served buying a dead cat off the street to play with, it works better than this game.
An embarrassment to the Star Trek name
by SeedBoy23 on 2019/01/12 03:25
I have played for a while, but I’m sorry this is just a poorly designed game that brings shame on the Star Trek franchise. Trek is about a positive hopeful future, boldly exploring, meeting new races and civilizations, team missions on strange worlds, the examples set by Kirk, Picard, Archer, and all the rest. Not mining. Soooo much mining, unless you pay to play. Unlock a new ship? Great, now you have to mine something new. Which brings us to the most broken part, PvP. Ship power scales way too quickly and becomes overpowering even a couple levels up. As in they suffer less than 5% damage when taking out all my ships, or space station. Yeah that’s right one ship can destroy a whole space station and 3 ships while taking less than 10% damage. Imagine Picard just flying from station to station blowing them up then taking out 10 mining vessels and that’s the whole game. Just grind away and pick on people less powerful than you, sounds nothing like Star Trek. Building your station is kinda cool, even if you have no frame of reference for any values. And the tech progression is ok, but tedious. If they had just built around that they could have made a decent game. If you want a Star Trek fix, try Timelines, much better play balance and a lot more characters you remember from every series and movie. Live long and Prosper, but not with this game!
The game is fun but has many glitches
by Remc78 on 2019/05/12 23:45
I played the game for about three months, enjoying most aspects of the game despite the many glitches. A few mining nodes don’t work even after updates that supposedly fixed them and several times I completed missions but didn’t receive the rewards. The game is very unbalanced, I was getting hit by players 11+ levels above me. A fully upgraded lv22 station has no chance of defense against a lv30+ ship. I learned to just keep a shield up when I wasn’t playing. I personally spend money on games cause it allows me to not spend time doing the stuff that is not enjoyable. I also realize that if people don’t spend money then developers will no longer make games. Which brings me to my biggest complaint, customer service. I bought a pack which came with resources and started a few upgrades. I put up a shield. While the shield was active, I got attacked and lost most of the resources I bought. The game failed me in three ways, (1) I was attacked while under a shield, (2) I never received a shield notification, (3) I never received a station attack notification. I reached out to support and they were unwilling to correct the issue. Supports response was “In as much as I want to help you out, I can only do so much.” They did nothing to correct the problem.
Don’t bother
by Skyknight78 on 2018/12/29 07:17
Typical pay to even try to play game. This game was fun at first but rapidly gets old. There’s a lot of emphasis on mining and its tedious. There’s no way to find out where the materials you need are without having to look through each system you’ve explored. A search option would have been nice. Once you find what you need you’ll likely get killed right away by some bully players that have deep pockets of real money. Then you wait for repairs and repeat. Mining takes forever and if you look away for 5 minutes you’ll likely get killed. Other missions get old too. Go to one place or kill one ship, then do it again and again. They had some interesting storylines, but in the end its the same thing over and over again while you waste tons of time just waiting for your ship to get where it needs to go, or stare at your screen while you mine and hope to get what you need before some player rolls up with a warship to easily kill your mining ship. I was hoping you could pick a faction to play for but you’re stuck being an independent and once you get high enough you can go near one of the empires, but thats probably after you get to level 15 or better. I played for a week and got to 14 hoping for more before the game got too annoying to put up with. I cannot wait for these types of games to go extinct.
Very Unbalanced
by Semi-Conscious on 2019/10/23 13:35
All reviews that tell you that this game is amazing, fun, addicting and enjoyable are probably from people who sit in their house all day spending money, since playing games is probably all they do each day every day. So if you truly want to know what the game is like don’t rely on reviews. Play the game for a little bit and decide for yourself. The game is, for lack of any other word, neat and a time killer. Any game to claiming that they are very well “balanced” is feeding you propaganda. The only balanced games I come across are from companies that have been in business for more than a few years. Honestly if there is any balance in any PvP/PvE game you would have a separation of lower and higher levels, figurative not literal. To give a simple idea of one small unbalanced portion of this game, the developers allow higher levels players to attack and harass lower level players but it tells you when you are a lower level that you cannot attack the player since their level is too high. Well if a player is not allowed to attack a higher level then the higher level should not be allowed to attack you. This premise is PvP 101 stuff people get with it or find new programmers. Balanced? I think not! It’s a far cry of being called balanced, they’re in the business to make money. So don’t take my word for it, decide for yourself.
Truly Enjoy the game, but...
by Epi Girl on 2019/01/14 07:44
As my title indicates, this is a fun game. There are a lot of dimensions to the game that make it entertaining, such as the missions, various research paths, strengthening your station and ships. I also enjoy the real time chat with Alliance members and other players. However, there are some glitches such as mines that seem to be unavailable (spinning circle), ships on mines but they really aren’t there, and it might just be me but... it’s very easy to inadvertently send your ship somewhere and then it’s difficult to find where it went. A frustrating aspect of the game (no fault of the developers) is there are Alliances that simply enjoy destroying other players’ ships while mining (mining is an integral aspect of the game). Very often my ships will only be mining for a minute or two, and a player from specific Alliances will destroy me and others just because they can. Probably players who spent loads of money to get to the high level and strength. So there is a level of frustration in that sense. Maybe the developers can develop activities where collaborations, etc... vs pvp balance out the easier method of destroying other players ships and stations.
This game is beyond trash

If you want to feel inferior to those with money, feel free to download this game. If you want to be attacked by people of 5+ levels above you without recourse, download this game. But if you don’t want stress over extreme drama, and a failure of a game in your life; then DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME!!! If you like being attacked by folks 5+ levels higher than you; if you don’t like fairness in what seems to be a simple base builder and strategy game. Basically if you want to avoid paying to win. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME!!! The only improvement they’ve made is on graphics, regardless of the NUMEROUS people requesting level attack updates and other changes. Basically, if you want to hate your life becAuse devs fail to act... download this game. If you like being killed over and over and over and over and over agin by higher level people. Download this game. If you like trying to attack people 4 levels below you that you ultimately cant, even though you got attacked yesterday by someone 4 levels higher than you, then this cash grab is the monetary waste for you. If you’ve read through this and still downloaded, you are a waste of life. Words can not sway you, and not can facts. You must support trump’s failure of a presidency. If that’s the case PLEASE DOWNLOAD THIS GAME. For all others. Please avoid this, for your own sake.
Could be good game, but....
by jamiethescienceteacher on 2019/02/03 01:21
I was looking for a game to take over from Galaxy On Fire Alliances, that I’d played for years, but which now is pretty much dead. This game looked good. Started out and seemed OK, although it seemed a bit “pay to win”. After a few weeks now, I’ve quit and deleted it. Not going to pour money into this. It could be a really good game-if they dialled back the money aspect a bit and fixed some issues. Sadly having spoken with their support, that seems unlikely. There are frequent “events”-which at first I found encouraged me to play. Until I realised that even playing very frequently to meet the goals, I still came up halfway. So I wouldn’t get the awesome ship-I’d have to pay to get the other half of the blueprints. Great! Then my base got attacked. Fine-that’s part of a game like this. Except that it had already happened-so I’d built up my base to mitigate such attacks. Sadly the game dynamics were screwy-a player with ships ¼ of my base’s strength easily defeated me and raided the resources I’d built up over a week or two. I don’t blame the player-they were just exploiting screwy dynamics. It really annoyed me, so I contacted game support. Zero help-just repeated fob-offs. So here we are-another game that could’ve made some money off me & that I could’ve enjoyed playing, deleted.
Don’t believe the 4.5 stars. The game is impossible to advance.
by pizzabone on 2019/02/16 21:52
I had high hopes for this game, but after you get to level 10 or 11 it gets really hard to advance without spending money. I spent some money. I quickly started to make some progress but when I got to level 15 things just got impossible. I purchased a large pack which gave me a ton of resources and started leveling up again. Within 8 hours of my purchase, one player that was 5 lvls higher and in a ship there was no way in hell I could defend against, cleaned me out of all my stored resources in just an hour. I had only used 20% of the resources I had purchased and given the time requirements for building and leveling it would have taken me a week to use all the resources I had. The other player was rude, and completely happy and proud to have stolen my stuff. This community has no etiquette, no respect for other players and is full of bullies and cowards who must have absolutely no life in the outside world. There is no way to report these players and there is no way to defend your self, because you only get so many shields. If someone destroys your base, you get a 5 min shield. Just 5 min. That is how the guy could sit there and attack me 7 times in a row while I was offline living my normal life. Don’t spend any money cause all it is right now is a ripoff.
Safe- for now
by Scopely is bad on 2018/12/10 23:04
So far it’s a good game with minimum pay to win and lots of things to do, but only because it’s been out for a day and everyone is the same rank and stuff and there’s nothing TOO pay to win (at the moment at least, considering this is a Scopely game.) And i’ve lost faith in Scopely as they are extremely unresponsive and have been censoring me on their forums and ignoring my emails. I’m serious i have proof. BUT this game seems pretty good for a start but i guarantee they’re going to be rolling out $50 loot crates anytime now. Character rarity is 3 star max and so are ships but you can guarantee when you max them out next week they’ll release 4 stars that completely shadow your characters. Did i mention when you roll a loot box you don’t get the character, you get fragments, and to get say, spock or kirk, you need 100, and with about 3 fragments per pull, well, have fun buddy. did i also mention the chances of getting the fragments are 5%? Yup you read that right. But, i digress, it is pretty good right now but again that’s only because they don’t have much of a pay to win aspect, YET. I’m just glad they can’t censor my review on apple store! *UPDATE* Not even a month since the games been released and they’re already selling a virtual ship for $50 that’s rarer and more powerful than any ship until you hit 3* ships! Don’t bother!
Very fun
by bennydejet on 2018/12/29 19:21
Overall, the game is surprisingly really fun to play. That being said, only to a certain extent. While oneself plays the game, they will notice as they level up build times will be come really long. I myself noticed this myself. Once a player has reached the levels of 17 and above, building times become more than a day or a few. This is ridiculous if you only have one building operation. That means you would have to wait a day or a few just to build something else!!! I wish the creators of the game would present an alternative solution to this matter. In addition, due to the game being really fun, I have spend real currency on this game. But here is the downfall, I recently purchased the station pack and ship pack for $5 usd each. I was expecting that this was an offer for the whole time but it was not. Every time the consumer purchase a pack, it presents another offer. Once I purchased the station pack and ship pack, the game presented the advanced ship pack and advanced station pack. The one problem with these packs was that they were not $5 usd anymore but instead $20 usd each this time. This ridiculous!!! Why couldn’t the creators just keep the $5 packs ? $20 is such a huge jump in a price!! That’s same price someone could spend on a actual console game. I hope the creators notice this problem.
Great but....
by Shadowtitan94 on 2019/04/20 19:09
I feel this game is trying to be like 2 different games at once I feel like it’s trying to be a Star Trek rpg and than trying to be a clash of clans styled base builder which isn’t a bad thing I jus feel it tends to not blend in well but my major issue is where are all the characters can we at least get some TNG ones in here I don’t mind new age TOS characters but come one there is so much In the Star Trek universe like what about discovery characters you know I feel it doesn’t have enough content but at the same time has enough to keep you going point is if you live Star Trek your going to like this game so far everyone has there own pet peeve about this game mine is mainly not enough content and sometimes to many things happening on screen cuz it’s trying to be sorry not 2 but 3 types of games clash of clans, world war rising and Star Trek all at once idk maybe I was expecting a more chill vibe but got a more action vibe which is fine I know it seems like I have been ranting but it’s a really great game DOWNLOAD IT TODAY!!!! The developers are excellent at responding to there reviews!!!!
Great Concept.
by Rezzzzzzo on 2019/01/12 14:45
I have to say this game was very fun and entertaining. I am not a huge pvper but I will pay if I think the game has potential. This one does, however if you start as a new player, do not level any higher than level 20 or so. I have leveled up to 25 pretty quickly and am now bored during the server events. Pretty much just set back and watch. Even though I am really more interested in the story lines it would be nice to be able to help the alliance in some of the events. Another issues with leveling is that after level 25 you now need very specific grade 3 ore/gas/crystal to level buildings or do research. There is no real way to get them other than the refinery. Unfortunately it only yields 1 or 2 every 9 hours if you are lucky. And you need in the hundreds for everything. So now that I have hit level 25 I don’t see me spending much time on the game as it seems a waste at this point. It seems a lot of larger players have stopped playing also. So it is a great game and may be awesome if the developer actually figure out how to balance it regardless of level...
Solid foundation that comes up Waaaay Short
by Clbrvsfn on 2019/06/23 15:55
This game could be great, the could be is the problem. I have played many video games over my life and this isn’t even a beta version....it’s worse. There are far too many glitches, errors, coding problems to go over in just one review. The main problem I have is that the developer doesn’t care about the issues because people are forking over millions every month to play an incomplete mobile game. They are stealing from players (the developer) as well. Try and instant repair one of your ships, that will cost you 19 additional in game currency than what is communicated to players, basically pocketing that currency each time short changing the player. The developer is only out to sell packs and get people to pay to win. You can grind in this game quite successfully but when the game breaks and you can’t get around having to pay it makes it not fun any more. I also wish the PvP parts actually worked, you don’t get notified when your base is under attack and you hardly ever have the opportunity to defend yourself. Lots of potential here but no follow through from developer. Do not download this game if you don’t have time to grind, grind, and grind some more every day.
Don’t waste your time
by TheKAManley on 2019/02/11 05:33
This game started great. A game with an “open world” feel where you can fly around, do missions, recruit officers from the Star Trek universe, upgrade your ships, relocate your base to new systems, etc, and everything happens in real time - like seeing other players flying around you and playing alongside you. It had SO much potential for a phone game. However, you guessed it. Pay to win is ruining this game. People pay big money to upgrade their ships and advance quickly, and the only way to compete with them is to also spend money. The higher level you are, the larger the range of levels that can attack you. So you’re always outmatched and being attacked by someone higher level than you, and you can’t do anything to defend yourself - Unless you want to spend money to advance as fast as they do. So what’s the point? There are NO NON-PVP ACTIVITIES IN THIS GAME. ZERO. Anywhere you fly, to mine or do missions, you are open to being attacked. There are no safe zones or safe activities. So again, when you can’t escape the wallet players, what’s the point? There is no way to enjoy this game casually without spending money. Unless you want to stay hidden away in your base and do nothing. Unless you enjoy spending hundreds on phone games, move on. Don’t waste your time like I did.
Fun but a buggy mess
by Monkeyunderground on 2019/01/16 02:25
While the gameplay is fun and addicting, it’s still a hot mess too far in. The bugs come hot and fast and the devs seem unable to permanently fix them when they don’t just write them off. I have contacted them several times and they only resolved one issue completely. On another known issue, false battle reports, they refused to even acknowledge the problem despite evidence I submitted. It’s getting to the point that submitting tickets to customer service is pointless. And this also doesn’t address the fact that there is significant pay to win. The pay packages are pretty outrageously overpriced and escalate with each purchase. They give significant advantage considering the fact that the game is unbalanced. Small differentials of power can result in colossal defeat, so even minor fluctuations from packages can severely tilt results. The power differential is also significant because it means that powerful players can’t even be zerged to balance out their op stats and they can act with impunity. It’s almost impossible to catch players ahead of you without paying, so they can indefinitely ream you. TLDR: great concept but extremely buggy and imbalanced to the point you have to pay to win to survive if you started late.
Fun for a while.
by Lerdma69321 on 2019/08/16 03:37
I’ve played this game for quite some time and in the beginning, it's fun and challenging. It's fairly fast-paced moving through the levels and acquiring new ships and advancing the crews of those ships. Then you hit what I call the pay to play levels. This seems to be around levels 23 to 24. You have to have large amounts of resources to do anything and if you haven't spent cash the people that have will take almost everything from you. It takes days to upgrade your station and ships so unless you can afford to buy peace shields to stay in a constant bubble the people with large bank accounts will take everything from you. I have push notifications turned on but don't get alerted that my station is under attack until well after everything has been taken. The developers constantly promise this will be fixed...it never has been. I have a theory that people that spend big bucks get freebee attacks on players that don't spend much. This is just a theory but seems odd that after I paid for an upgraded ship I received alerts immediately upon being attacked. Since I haven't bought anything recently I don't get notified until I'm cleaned out. Enjoy the game, it's fun for a while.
Worst Example of a few thugs ruining a beautiful game.
by Gramopolis on 2019/04/28 07:14
I can tell you why the stock price of this game plummeted. A small handfull of thuggish players have claimed all of the universe as theirs and won't allow for any player to play a peaceful game doing the developers' in-game missions. The developers are not making correction (putting the thugs on a different server so they can play their game while others play theirs) When you start, if your're able, you want to spend money to have the beautiful ships and abilities to fly them to defeat the computer hostiles, make trekkie friends and happily geek out. However, you Can't get the ships or to the destinations of the missions if the resources you have paid for are continually stolen by real people. I wound up an admiral of a fleet of peacefuls whose psyches have actually been harmed by these idiots. Star Trek fun geekiness is totally absent on this, one of several servers, my people have been assigned to. In particular, FireGryphon, claims he started all the fleets and all the thugs are loyal to him. He calls for other players to hit peaceful players and wipes out their resources which he gets to keep. It might as well be a 3rd party shooter game where you are virtually his target. If you want to pay money to be threatened and abused this is the game for you. OMG. THIS IS NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY GAME.
Pretty obviously pay to play
by Cutiepye98 on 2019/03/26 17:08
If you can find an alliance that is fun to play with the game can stay enjoyable for a bit but progressing in the game it is extremely slow if you don’t put up cash. I’m willing to spend a little bit on a game $5-$10 dollars a month but with this game after you buy the $5 pack it’s gone and you can only spent $25-$99 after that which is why I won’t spend anymore on this game. If I felt like the money went to improving the game server I’d consider spending more but I just feel as tho they want to drain as much cash as they can from players willing to pay before the server is dead. During an event they had a pack containing parts for a jellyfish ship.. you could buy 25 parts or 75 parts. You need 75 to complete the ship, you can supposedly get the ship without paying but from what I can tell is you end up needing 26 parts to complete the jellyfish effectively meaning no matter what you need to buy the larger pack or risk ending up 1 part short for the remainder of the game. Between the time required to put in to be a F2P player and the fact any low cost buyable upgrades disappear after one purchase leads me to believe this game was designed as part of a ferengi plot to steal wealth.
Glitches and Ships
by myroncm on 2019/01/13 15:22
I rated this app at a two of five stars because for being a fully released app it still has a ton of glitches and they don’t seem to be disappearing or even trying to fix them with some having gone on for weeks or multiple events with the reoccurring complete mission and showing the rewards over and over again without actually giving you the reward again, if that was the case I wouldn’t mind... but seeing it every time I re-enter the game is just annoying. Then whenever I send a moving ship into warp I can’t even see the ship once I clip warp with the countdown timing off for the engines warming up. This would be helpful for the quick escapes to be able to see if I am going to or not... then there is the stupid jellyfish ship that at first seems like of I’ll have this in a week or month and wait, I can’t seem to find them anymore... of you are telling me there was a buying event where people had to pay $50 for the ship or they would never get it? That’s crazy! Also missions are far from a continuous thing... I can’t even seem to find a mission to complete anymore that’s within a reasonable level range. Without me paying $50 to jump a level or two and try then...
Horrible customer service
by Scopely steals your $ on 2019/06/28 13:51
Wow, just wow... I’ve played clash of clans and all of its spin offs, Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes, and various other f2p with p2p capability, but never have I deal with such rude and horrible customer service. The game is full of bugs, yet they will put several bugged officers in a special pack and sell it to you without informing you that they don’t work. You will play in real time events that track “live” how many points each player has, and you will use credits that you’ve paid for to come in first, actually get 1st place, then go to collect your rewards and be told you actually got second place because of server lag and there’s nothing they will do about it to rectify the situation. I’m the admiral of the 3rd strongest alliance on our server, we have the highest spending player on the server, people have spent well over a combined $100k in our alliance alone, but they still haven’t fixed a bug since March that is preventing us from filling our alliance to capacity, a capacity that we have expanded with resources that were purchased with real $$$$$. They don’t care. They take your money, then they don’t stand behind the product. The game has so much potential and can be a lot of fun, but at this rate Scopely will end up with a class action lawsuit.
Fun til you hit the wall
by What_a_Scam on 2019/11/12 04:23
So I will start out by saying that this game can become very addicting at first, but soon you can’t help but notice how unbalanced the game is. My biggest gripe has to be with the uncommon ore drops. I have mined consistently for 5 days, a task that is incredibly difficult as players consistently attack you for both your node or in most cases, just for fun. I spent 15K in G2 raw gas and got 5 uncommon. Like seriously? It would take me several months at this rate before I could fully tier up the ship. As far as it being a pay-to-play scenario, I get it. I actually have dropped some cash into this game, but at the stage I’m at there really isn’t a pack that works for my needs. I need uncommon refined ore, but the reasonably priced one ($20) will only give 100 (the ship needs 200+ for just one compliment upgrade). The missions were also fun at the beginning, but right after level 15-16 there’s such a significant jump in power of the opposing ships it’s impossible for you to win. You’d have to upgrade your ship, but as I mentioned above, this could take months. I think I’ll continue to casually play until I burn through all the resources I’ve bought, but I certainly won’t be spending any more money on the game.
4.5 has to be fake
by S. Wolf on 2019/03/23 04:56
Game written to frustrate you into paying real money to just survive. $50 gets you a ship that is unbeatable by levels 5 higher than you. Then after that has been out enough to annoy everyone, another ship for $50 that makes you stronger than that last $50 everyone spent. You can’t level without spending money. Missions require beating ships 100k+ higher than you and to upgrade you have to mine ore that you have refine for what you need. This part take 9 hours and is you’re lucky you might get 5 of the 500 you need. I’ve been trying to upgrade for 3 months and only have 43 out of the 500 needed. This doesn’t count your miners getting killed by the people who paid $50 or more and just harass everyone. Then to top that, guess what you need to make repairs, that’s right just what you been trying to gather for the upgrade. Everything cost far more than can be collected without spending real money. As a Star Trek fan I feel this is damaging the franchise. This should be called GRIEFWARE and there should be a warning that you need to spend cash to play. As a person with a bad heart requiring a machine to live, I don’t have time to waste with this garbage and limited as to what I can do for entertainment. Taking advantage of people is pathetic.
Fun game but f2p ruined it
by Mil Doc Jr on 2019/05/28 03:25
I played this game when it first came out. It was fun and the price model seemed ok. Everything was $5. After I bought one pack it disappeared and was replaced with a $10 pack, for some of my friends, they made $100 purchases and realized that they were stuck with $100 packs. The game was well balanced until the Jellyfish pack came out. That’s when the game went downhill. For the players that bought it, they quickly became the top players and completely stopped the progress of those who didn’t. I continued to play for a couple of months hoping that the bugs would get fixed and the game would be more balanced. By the time the bugs got fixed, all of the players who dropped money on the jellyfish pack now had the higher tier ships. I stopped playing for 2 months and came back to it and it was completely unplayable. I could only mine for a few minutes before getting attacked. Ended up spending more in repairs on my best ships than what I made in resources. You are only limited on who you can hit rather than by ship strength, so yes the developers are right when they say the game gets more difficult but they fail to mention that the difficulty is exponential.
Don’t waste your time
by A35barber on 2019/03/31 16:28
It is a fun game do not get me wrong but the people who play make it terrible. They have vague rules of engagement that is not built into the game. You have some that follow it and the rest just run wild. You basically have kids who have their mom’s credit card vs people who are trying to just play and have fun. If you are in an alliance that follows the rules, they will act like they care (and like your boss) and dictate how you play and what you should do (Im thinking they have zero real life authority and act like whiny parents in the game) but if you are not in an alliance those same people will violate their own rules and keep striking you. Once you hit level 19 it will take a lot of time to get to level 20 unless you pay or by some luck avoid the people who will keep striking you. If you are in a rules of engagement alliance, you will not be allowed to strike back and if you are in a non R.O.E., they will strike you no matter what. Until the developers build in some rules of engagement then I would avoid this. It is seriously a fun game until you get pass level 15. Keep in mind it is a game that is time consuming and frustrating if you do not dump like $300 cash right away. Fun but stay away
Good Game Over All
by SLDX on 2019/05/17 00:56
There are a lot of very negative reviews out there about the game. I have been playing now for several months and have enjoyed the game. Yes there are some issues but the developers are always working to improve the game play for everyone. Yes you can spend a lot of money on this game but you don’t have to there are a lot of free to play players out there. The main issue is just like with any game it’s slow going if you as they say grinding it out it will take awhile but it’s possible. The developers just added additional content and are continually striving to fix in game issues and make the game interesting and fun to play. This is the only game I have found where the developers are sending out surveys to players to help them find areas players don’t like, areas to improve or new content to add. It’s free to play so why not try it. Most of us on here are just Trekies who love Star Trek and look to play a Star Trek game. I think the game graphics are really amazing and the developers have spent some time making everything look as good as it does.
You will spend all your time repairing your ship
by Hikerdave on 2018/12/11 08:24
The game itself is fun at the beginning, following various story lines and running errands (though it would be nice to know who you will be working for before you accept a mission or a way to delete a mission you don’t want after you take it). After you get to a certain level though fairly soon into the game you will find you are spending all your real time and your in-game resources repairing your destroyed ships. A big part of the game is mining resources, but if you leave your ship somewhere for just a couple minutes someone who must have paid real money for a bigger stronger ship will come along and destroy your ship. Which then you need to repair for 10 to 30 minutes of real time depending on how strong your ship is. I do not normally spend real money on games but I did in this game for a resource pack and a crew pack because I was enjoying the game but now I have deleted the game. I was level 14 when I got fed up and at this level the game has you increased the defenses of your base. This tells me that players will be able to attack other bases once I had hit some level. Just what I want, to be spending all my time repairing my ships and my base.
Greed ruined a great game
by Blaq jaq on 2019/03/21 02:12
I really loved playing this game. Great stories, nearly unlimited pathways to play, but, the one thing is the developers are filthy greedy animals. They design a fantastic game and then make it so you have to dump in tons of cash to get the resources(latinum) need to survive saying nothing about playing. You need latinum for EVERYTHING. The games paltry trickle of latinum isn’t enough for any one thing you might use it for so you have to buy it. My advice is DONT PLAY IT. If enough people boycott the game maybe they will adjust the game in the next update. I know I’m done with this money pit. Just because it says Star Trek doesn’t mean we are stupid enough to throw money at it. To top it off it’s full of greedy lazy chicken crap animals that steal everything you work so hard for and spend so much time on getting when you are not around. Totally destroyed the fun and morale of the game. I can’t emphasize strongly enough to NOT PLAY THIS GAME. It’s alluring at first but before you realize it you’ve spent $100 and are no better then level 18 out of 50 and still have to deal with thieves so not only is it money WASTED but money STOLEN soon after. Just because it says Star Trek doesn’t mean you have to be dumb enough to play it and waste money on. I give it less then zero stars.
Great game but the bugs, frequent crashes and paywall make 5* game a 2* experience
by KingJerky on 2019/02/16 04:19
I have enjoyed playing up to level 17 thus far, but it is clear that the paywall ships create imbalance to a fault. The game crashes every 5-10 minutes on IOS with an iPad Pro. Interface bugs abound as well that require a restart of the application to resolve. I have played heavily for a few weeks now as the game is very entertaining when the aforementioned issues aren't ruining the experience. Cash appears to be king in this game and those that spend it gain an edge that the casual gamer cannot compete with. I have not seen any bug fixes or stability improvements since I started playing, if anything the crashes have gotten worse. The storyline quests are the most entertaining part of the game, but they are too sparse to get you from level to level. The requirement of "uncommon", which should be read RARE, materials to upgrade ships and outpost buildings results in yet another paywall delay. Hoping they resolve the game balance problems and fix the bugs or they will start bleeding players. I have spent no cash on the game, nor will I until I see a real effort to address these problems. I have my fingers crossed...
Rip-off and waste of money
by Game is a rip-iff on 2019/04/09 12:57
Unless you are rich, don’t bother with this game. Started fun but too many hyper aggressive players and alliances who steal resources that I paid money for. That is what they exist for according to their ship names and alliance names. Ships may still be attacked even when Peace Shields are in place. If you don’t have enough station peace shields for 24 hours a day, everyday, then you will be attacked and all the resources you purchased via the store will be stolen. Of course you can build vaults but unless you get to levels higher than 25, they don’t hold enough resources to protect the millions you buy at one time from the store. The build speeds for ships and buildings is so slow that you cannot use all of the resources fast enough and they must be constantly protected from other player alliances who exist to steal them. I get the idea of pvp games but to allow stronger players to decimate stations and ships of lower strength players is outright theft. I am not talking about resources that were mined within the game but ones that I paid money for. Money that I spent to have more fun on missions and against non player ships is gone and a game that was supposed to be fun is a rip off. Will never spend another dime on this game or with the company who makes it.
Pay to win and super glitchy
by Omegas sky on 2019/01/06 00:12
I really enjoyed the game at the very beginning, but that hasn’t maintained. The game is EXTREMELY glitchy and support is a COMPLETE JOKE. I can’t tell you how many messages I’ve sent that were either outrightly ignored or giving cookie cutter BS answers and NO effort at all has been made to compensate players for ships lost for no reason and all the resources it costs to repair them. Support loves the reply of clear local cache to take care of glitches, but I’ve yet to see that do anything to help with any of the many many glitches that infest the game. Having to constantly log out and back in and restart phone sometimes helps, but only sometimes and while you are doing that the game runs on and you are again having ships destroyed that support doesn’t seem to care remotely about. On top of all the glitches is the fact that the game is skewed HARD in the PAY to WIN direction and really pay just to play if you want to be even remotely competitive. The packs are expensive and will really only give you a little boost so that you have to purchase multiple packs to stand any chance or make much progress. I’ve gone from really excited and happy to fairly well disgusted with developers and most certainly with support.
Waste of time
by JGcromedyfuuun! on 2018/12/22 10:11
Any Trek game has potential in my mind, but this...game...is a complete waste of time. It’s just like every other building game I’ve played, super boring. Add in a mmo experience and the game is completely useless, as higher powered players will seek you and destroy your ships. I would be willing to pay for a game that is worth it, but this game is trash, it looks good, but the play is just like every other game designed to drain your wallet to advance further. I’m also unhappy that this game only contains the “alternate reality” characters, but I guess that’s what you get when you gear the game to be for kids who spend their parents money on these trash games, instead of actually making a game that is worth spending my own money on. This behavior from developers is what has driven me away from gaming. I was a hardcore gamer before “pay to advance” became a thing. I miss playing games where you actually have to be more skilled than your opponent, not just have spent more money in-game. By doing this you’re pigeon-holing yourself into a certain client base, instead of making a mobile game most people would enjoy, and be willing to spend $10 - 20. You cater to a much narrower margin who are willing to spend >$50, that’s just bad business, and it’s ignorant
Tough grind until a pay to play ceiling.
by Joeb3028 on 2019/11/03 15:33
I have been playing this game for about 12 months now. The game is super glitchy. I can deal with this but overall the game is just too lopsided at this point. Once you reach about level 25, the resources required to upgrade are unobtainable. This has been amplified since resource awards (uncommon refined materials) have become more and more scarce. It all might be doable if significantly higher level players where not just pillaging all your resources by attacking your station. You either have to be logged in to the game all the time (push notification does not work well, another glitch) or permanently live under a peace shield. The peace shield means you can’t really mine new resources since these resources are all occupied by other players and attacking someone cancels your peace shield. For the most part, you will also have to buy these shields as they are not awarded in usefully amount. So really you are forced to pay for most things eventually. The game has potential and is fun but you will spend a lot of time building up to an inevitable ceiling where you either pay to keep up or really move on and write off the time you spent.
Okay
by Jman2121 on 2018/12/18 18:46
I wanted to wait until level 10 to leave a review (the level where your ships can be attacked by other players). The game starts out to actually be a lot of fun. You don’t have to worry about energy refills or any other time limits other than travel (and even then, travel speeds are quick). They offer base building, researching, upgrading ships, officers and many other aspects. However, everything falls on its face when you hit the levels of being attacked. A lot like GoW and other bass building games, constantly being attached ruins the game completely. If you don’t have the ability to watch your ships at all times, then the game is pointless. I’ve sent a ship out 3 times since hitting 3 lvl 10 to collect resources and all 3 times the ship has been destroyed because I wasn’t able to monitor it. I know my review doesn’t count for much considering how many good reviews it has, I just wish games gave the ability to have a strictly PvE aspect. This would absolutely be a 5 star game. It’s just impossible to be on at all times to monitor ships and don’t see the ability to make progress without spending money. I would be more inclined to spend money in a more PvE oriented game.
Paywall too high to climb
by JoeWKM on 2019/01/05 10:08
This game has a lot of promise but it’s already off to a rough start: multiple $99 boost packs that are basically required to even progress to lvl20? You have some players pushing ships that are already 4-8x as powerful as free2play setups in the same time since launch. I get that this is a licensed game so it’s gonna have a higher cost to develop and maintain but compared to other licensed properties like Star Wars GOH or even the new Red Alert the cost in this game is off the charts. Some whales are dropping >$1,000 to try and claim that too spot. In a PVP heavy game that kills the vibe pretty fast. The bugs are understandable but annoying, I suspect bug smashing vs feature vs content balance is a daily discussion with the dev and probably will be for a while when the revenue starts to wane because of frustration. Pacing in the game is very uneven; gotta keep those smaller incremental upgrades either worth the 18-40 hour waits or lower the cost to accelerate. They’d do better milking 25-40 a month from folks vs trying to grab $150+ in the first 2 weeks. May stick around for the first big feature enhancement but doubtful beyond that, just too expensive even for a fairly pretty game.
Pay2win and bugs
by Nick #3 on 2019/01/15 16:49
Pretty obvious pay to win, it is quite apparent in those 100% damage improvement techs that takes 300k of resources normal chests give you 20 per chest. Normal techs give you 1% (on important stats such as damage) to 20% (on unimportant stats such as storage cap). Such techs take about 1/5 of your tech tree. Also the game is a time sink designed to grab your attention every 5 minutes, so not really for anyone holding a job. There is also an “ADMIN” account flooding ads every day on public chat to a fishy site promising in-game cash for apps which require membership at $14 per month. Sincerely hope that is not related to the developer. The game has data consistency issues, often you see critters that aren’t there, or mines that no longer are. Game occasionally freezes and instead of taking an empty mine you are suddenly attacking a guy twice your score. Your alliance mates giving you help is a nice idea, however since I often have to restart the game to get their requests I doubt many saw your call for help. The developer updates seem to be focusing on adding stuff. I expect things to get really cutthroat after you reach level 10 and becomes pvp-prone, which is likely when I send them a letter to delete my account.
Broken mechanics, too many bugs, not that fun
by Mumbledypeg on 2019/04/01 05:24
I have spent several weeks playing but am giving up in frustration at this point. Love Star Trek and the game has some promise but there are too many flaws. The core mechanics of the game reward players who are ahead on the power curve at the expense of those starting out. While some of that is understandable, the extent to which you can be attacked, kept from advancing, and have what resources you do manage to accumulate stolen goes too far. Add to that many glitches, bugs and performance issues which constantly distract players and prevent success in objectives, and you have additional problems. Finally - when things are working and you don’t have other players preying on you, the game commits the worst sin of all. It just is not that fun. A lot of hurry up and wait, and lot of repetitive missions with thin stories, and not a lot to do other than click, wait, check in three hours later. You can mitigate this to some extent by spending money - and I actually do not mind investing in a game to have more fun. However, the amount it takes here is beyond reasonable and could easily run to hundreds of dollars. Just is not worth my time or funds. Too bad.

It’s a total pay to play game, not really free to play.

by Allig8t0r on 2019/12/05 22:31
Play it for free first before dropping money on it.

Still in the Alpha stage of development
by =FishCracker= on 2018/12/13 04:31
I love Star Trek and so I have been excited to jump in and play.

Too bad.
