This really has helped me increase my water intake. I’m not perfect but I’m definitely improving! I like that it’s not just a reminder...I need to water my baby plant too. It’s a cute app and I recommend it for anyone who will easily ignore a plain reminder.

Apple Watch Compatibility
by nelsonkyle27 on 2020/02/26 07:39
Would love to be able to log water through my Apple Watch like other water tracking apps. This app is fun and helps give more motivation to keep up with water intake than other apps, however I would be so much more inclined to use this app if I could log the water on my watch. I’ve read other reviews with this same review as well, seems like I’m not the only one.

I used plant nanny’s older version and loved it. Plant nanny 2 is even cute than before. It’s fun to do something healthy for yourself and grow a virtual plant.

Great way to remind you to stay hydrated. Have hydrated my self and plants since the original version. Only thing I would like would be to be able to “water the plants” on my watch.

This app changed everything for me. I’m busy, like everyone else, and easily distracted. This app reminding me to drink through the day - and how much I should drink - has helped my energy levels and gut health. Total game changer. Plus, my kids get into it....which is awesome! Thank you, Plant Nanny!
Adorable and does the job.
by precious🪐🐉 on 2020/02/25 02:09
The game encourages hydration in the cutest way! I have a hard time remembering to drink enough water (I’m oftentimes found drinking coffee or juice instead) and have had a hard time controlling my migraines because I just really don’t like drinking water. But! Never fear, my monkey brain likes the reward system of drinking the water and watching my plant grow.
I’m hydrated and entertained
by Clairvoyantme on 2020/02/25 01:20
It’s cute but it has reminders that I needed to drink just the right amount. That’s the whole reason I got it. The cute plants keep drinking interesting.

This game has improved since the last time I played it. I really enjoy the gamification and it motivates me to drink water. I’d like to see a collection of all of the pots I’ve purchased if that’s possible. That’d be a cool addition to the gamification as it’d be fun to collect all of the different pots - even the seasonal ones.

I love this app! It is a great motivation to drink water. I especially love that you can turn on reminder notifications! HOWEVER The reminder notifications keep coming after I have finished my water quota of the day which is annoying. Also, I love naming the plants but once you put them in your greenhouse you can no longer see the names which makes me sad.

by Waterrr Is Good on 2019/06/29 18:19
Plant Nanny is very helpful in keeping me drinking the amount of water I should everyday. It doesn’t even feel much like a chore because I’m keeping this cute little plant alive!😜 I do wish I could take a glass of water through my Apple Watch... this would be way more convenient because I see the notification pop up but am usually talking to someone or in other words, too busy to bring out my phone at the moment and I forget later. And the other thing I would like to see is more ways to get more involved in the game... My son likes to play the game just for the plant and it does encourage him to drink more water, however, when water isn’t available (or he’s too lazy to get it) he likes to douce the plant in tons of water he isn’t actually drinking because there isn’t much else to do... I know that is very specific and more my problem than yours, but I think if you were to take care of it more like play games or more customizations, like of the background, people might have a better time visiting the game... Again, more my problem than yours so this is only a tiny suggestion if you want..
Falls short of the original Plant Nanny
by LittleBunnyV on 2019/01/29 00:44
I hope the creators will still be updating the original Plant Nanny, because this new version falls short on the following points, for me: (1) no more options for different glasses of water - a feature I thought distinguished the original app from other health tracking apps. We don’t drink the same quantity of water every time we go for a glass of fluid! In the new version, I have to go change the custom glass size in the settings for each drink - that’s pretty inconvenient. (2) This is a personal preference, but I think the new aesthetics are too cutesy, and focused on the character rather than the plant! I want a plant, not a tamagotchi. I also like the window sill and the options for backgrounds.. Sure, the graphics could use an update, but the concept was nice - I found comfort and familiarity with having a houseplant by the window. The new background is not as relatable. (3) User interface is, yes, not as primitive as the original, but that also makes it a tad less simple and friendly. (4) This is so minor, but I thought the golden clovers was popcorn. Hehe (5) Finally, the advent of a new version seems to signal to the fact that the original will no longer be updated, and will slowly get phased out via incompatibility with newer software updates (ie. we will lose all of our precious plants and an app that works better than its successor). PLEASE KEEP UPDATING THE ORIGINAL PLANT NANNY 🙏!
Could be better
by 312121212121213 on 2019/09/29 13:14
This app has helped me drink more water which is very helpful but I think it could still improve. The multiple currency systems are confusing, the scrolling with the plants’ displays is difficult to use and the plants are limited, since there are only seven different ones with four growth stages per plant and they get boring quickly. There is also no motivation to use the clover currency to buy pots because it is such a limited way to customize your plants so for me at least the clovers just sit around. I would suggest combining clover and acorn currencies for the future, as well as adding more plants and possibly different paths for the plants to grow so there are more possibilities for unique plants. I also think the app should fix some of its technical issues like the scrolling and some of the writing in the English version, which is sometimes confusing or repetitive. I wish there were more options for arranging plants as well because the current system has them out of sight, out of mind in underground displays that I only look at to collect seeds. Something like what Viridi does might be a good idea, since Viridi’s options for customization are very good and I love their art style. I still really like this app and use it every day!
Love it! But...
by Mertensia on 2019/11/01 03:41
I adore using plant nanny two to track my hydration! To me, staying hydrated is just as important to keeping up my mental health alongside my physical health. Plus, the cute plants just make me want to take care of them!! My only only only issue at this point is when the app day-in and day-out tells me to SLOW DOWN! While I appreciate the importance of this lesson (I have overdone it myself a few times) I wish there was a way to turn this notification off. Much of the time, I’m at work and can’t look at my phone (someone’s always around the corner at just the wring time to catch you) so I log most of my water after my shift, when I know that I drank two or three fills of my reusable bottle. But logging it and getting the repetitive shout that I shouldn’t drink to fast just takes away a smidgen of the joy there is in watering these cute little babies. I hope y’all keep it up with the awesome apps and updates!
Rather Loud Graphics
by Plantiest of Nannies on 2019/05/06 02:00
As soon as I opened the game I felt like a hundred things were being thrown at my brain. While everything is very colorful and cute, it’s also very busy, and not very customizable for all that boast. Immediately I dislike that you have to change whether your water is in oz or ml AFTER the tutorial; I have no clue how to do that! It doesn’t appear that there’s actually a way to change how much water you drink with each “watering” of the plant either, which doesn’t make sense unless someone were to go the extra mile and write down on their own whether they’ve reached their goal. I’m disappointed by the lack of free plants, and that the currency is some type of clover instead of seeds? The original use of seeds always seemed rather innovative and made quite a bit of sense. While the new graphics are cute, and I appreciate the extra activity setting, everything else seems too much or far too little. Quite disappointed. Also, as a personal pet peeve, the descriptions of the plants hold spelling and grammatical mistakes, as well as split words over separate levels of text. Aesthetically very agitating! I only downloaded this because I figured it would be a good back up if my phone stopped processing the original, though I hoped I would at least enjoy it a bit more.
No cups and no way to edit past days?
by bananas2day on 2019/01/28 20:22
I would love to switch over to this version, but you can’t create different cups that hold different amounts of water like you could in the original. This makes it so that I have to go into settings and adjust the cup volume in the new app every time I drink from a different glass or bottle. This change isn’t useful unless you’re a person who only ever drinks from one special cup, and you carry that cup around with you throughout the day and evening. No one (at least that I know) does that, so that change makes the app harder to use for the majority of people! I’ll stick to the original app until that feature is added. Additionally, there’s no way (in this app or the original) to go back and add water to previous days. Some days I’m really busy and I forget to log my water, and then my plant will die because it thinks I didn’t drink anything and I have to start over again. I’m kind of surprised that feature wasn’t added to this version because it was a pretty clear drawback of the original Plant Nanny. Adding a way to go back and add water from previous days would be a huge improvement!
Great water reminder but could be better
by mistytown on 2019/04/05 20:15
This is a great way for you to get set reminders (you can choose when) to drink water every day. It’s fun and cute. Nevertheless, they could improve the app by the following few things. They let you name the plant (the plants are already named by the type of flower or plant it is, but you can change it) yet on the main watering page and even after it’s planted into it’s Flower Box in the tree hole, the names of the plants are never shown anywhere. It would be nice if they would put the names at the bottom of the planter of each plant. I played the original Plant Nanny for a couple years and it had more plants to choose from (and the names were displayed). Plant Nanny 2 only has seven plants to choose from. They really need to add more plants, not to mention more pot options (colors, shapes, designs) as well. Other than that, I can’t think of anything else that would make the game better but will update my review later. All in all, it is a great app and you should give it a shot!
Great tracking, needs new formula
by jacksonlaurar on 2020/02/21 13:32
So I love the tracking aspect of this app, it’s fun and user friendly. However, their formula needs work when it comes to larger people. Despite my weight, I am incredibly active and workout 5-6 times per week. I put in my accurate weight and activity level and it suggested 152 oz of water per day. So I started meeting that goal! And immediately felt incredibly nauseous during my workouts (changing nothing else about my diet/exercise routine except adding this app). I also would occasionally feel sick throughout the day. So I went to my PCP and he said I had hydration sickness and was drinking WAY too much water. He said that I could have potentially caused myself serious harm if I had done this any longer than a week, and suggested I adjust my intake to 100 oz. the app will not let you set your own goal, so I had to adjust my weight until it was at 100oz. The formula needs to have a cap so that larger people are not putting themselves in danger by drinking way too much water. The formula that works for a 120lb person does not work for a 200 lb person and that is incredibly dangerous.
It actually is working for me!!!

So, I'm TERRIBLE at reminding myself to drink water throughout the day. Other apps I'd feel pushed to reach my goal and sometimes I drink too fast then end up feeling sick after. I stopped using those apps because of that issue. With this app, I like that it reminds me of when I'm drinking too much and it'll advise me to slow down. Which is fantastic, because it would actually notify me to right at that point where if I kept drinking the water at that pace, I'd instantly start feeling sick. So, I like that it tells me exactly before I start feeling sick to slow down. And I love the music!!!! The plants are adorable!! (Even the affordable ones!) If you can't decide on a plant at first, try going to google and searching it. That's what I did. 😋 Now, I don't normally one-star rate apps like these, but this one I feel really deserves the whole five stars! Great job, guys!!!! 💖
Cute, but missing v1 concenience
by MissJordo on 2019/03/12 17:03
Pros: The new modern interface is nice and it's a definite plus that I'm able to link to Apple's Health app. If you're like me and you dislike seeing a red notification bubble on your home screen, you'll like that this version doesn't utilize that as a countdown feature. Cons: There is only one quick cup size. While you can customize how many oz or ml in your "default," I don't always use the same cup size all day and need to manually adjust it every time. I liked the feature in v1 that allowed you to preset multiple cups you might drink from in a given day. I hope a future update will make this available. Also, the notification is not dynamic. I just recorded drinking a glass of water, and two minutes later was reminded to drink more just because it was on the hour. I know going in to record more already will give me a warning to slow down, so I would like to see a notification pop up an hour from my last cup rather than prompted by the world clock.
Cute AND Helpful
by Bad_Wolf242 on 2019/02/27 16:31
I have used the original Plant Nanny app for a while and really loved it! I was happy to see a newer app come out, and I really enjoy it as well; however I do hope to see the glass size options come back in the new app as well as possibly some customization options. I liked that I could change the background of the window sill in the original app - not a big deal, but something that could make it a little more personal and uplifting. I would also love to see an update that could allow one to add a cup from an Apple Watch. I get the notifications there and it would just be a petty and convenient touch to be able to press a button right then and there since I often finish my current cup when the notification pops up. Overall, would recommend, thank you Plant Nanny team! :)
Just short of perfection
by Navin Ramkissoon on 2019/07/03 20:38
I love this app, it has helped me to monitor my water intake and at times forced me to drink water when I would rather be drinking something else, all in an effort to keep my little planties happy. I have 3 issues that I hope would be addressed in the near future. Firstly I would like to change the amount of water I drink, I don’t always drink 240ml. Secondly, I would like to be able to use my watch to log when I drink, its way easier to do and a lot more convenient. This ties into my final issue, when I’m driving, or otherwise engaged, I drink water, but I’m unable to log it(the watch can assist with this). When I do get a chance, it’s a bit annoying to get a warning message about drinking too much water every time. I hope the developer can find a workaround for this. That being said, I love this app, it’s my favorite water tracker and I have no intention of switching to any other. Highly recommended
Absolutely amazing
by giatem on 2019/09/15 04:44
I have a really bad problem with drinking water and have even gone on the edge of passing out because I hadn’t drunken enough water. When I almost fainted bc of it I made the decision to start drinking more water. But I couldn’t do it by myself, I forgot, I drank to much, or I would just not do it. Then I decided to look up apps to drink more water and first got the original one and then decided to change to the newer one. This app has helped amazingly, I have gotten so much healthier bc of it, I haven’t almost passed out or even gotten that dizzy, my skin is healthier and it is all bc of this app. Sometimes I wouldn’t drink much water and would ignore the app and then when I remembered that my little plant starts dying if I don’t drink water I immediately grabbed a cup and drank some.
So close to being great
by Mcm710 on 2020/01/06 03:49
I really like this ideas. BUT, there are a few things. I need more flexibility in the reminders. It only gives you every 2, 4, or 6 hours. And doesn't let you adjust the times. It will remind you from 8am-10pm. I start my day at 5 and go to be well before 10. It lets you make custom times so I figured I’d take the time and set up one hour intervals only to find out it only lets you had a few and that’s it. I’d like to be able to set my own time intervals and my own time parameters. Another thing is...it only allows me to drink 2 cups of water at a time. So if I forgot to log it an hour ago, I can’t log a few extra to make up for it. It tells me it’s not safe to drink too much water at one time and won’t let me log it. That’s really annoying. But the visual of the plant is definitely a great motivator. I just hope they tweak it.
Plant Nanny is a great app!
by Alex Wood Rates on 2019/12/28 21:22
Plant Nanny helps you keep track of how much water you drink in a day. Every human being is supposed to get 8 glasses of water a day. Your body is 70% made of water. You put in your weight and how active you are to get your personal recommended water intake. Once you know how much water you have to drink per day you choose a plant and a pot. Throughout the day you drink your cups of water after each cup you add it to your plant. Eventually the plant will grow. As your plant grows you get coins to buy more plants and pots. This app has helped me a lot I would recommend it to everyone. One thing I don’t like about this app is that when you turn your notifications on they send way too much. Another thing I don’t like about this app is that at the start not all plants are free. But over all I love this app! Please consider getting Plant Nanny!
Super cute water app!
by mamaleb on 2019/05/28 13:46
I’ve tried other water apps before and ended up ignoring them after awhile. Not this one! The cute plants in this app keep me engaged. I’ve been using it daily for almost 2 months now and will continue to do so. Love it! 2 cons: I had to more than double my real weight in the app to get the desired cups of water I wanted per day (why not just let me select the number of cups?) and the warning that I’m drinking too fast if I put in more than 1 cup of water at a time is *really* annoying. I have a 3-cup water bottle and put the water amounts in the app every time I finish it getting that warning messages over and over. Please consider changing that feature to a daily or better yet one-time sign and understand feature.
Needs better graph system
by pookieman2000 on 2020/01/16 16:18
This app is both cute and functional, however I think it could use some improvements. First of all, the water amounts suggested seem way too high for someone who struggles to drink water on a daily basis, it’d be better if we could choose our own goal to work towards and improve on as our bodies get used to drinking more. This apps whole purpose is supposed to be a way to track your water intake and log your progress with a cute touch of growing a garden with your water... but I find it very difficult to see my progress because the data graph bars only show an estimate of what you drank in previous days. I wish there was a feature that showed you exactly how much water you logged each day. In the app Walkr we are allowed to scroll through each day and see exactly how many steps we took, I wish it was the same for this app.
Cute, a nice update
by Jabuhrer on 2019/02/08 21:00
This is a cute app that does what it’s supposed to and feels like a nice update from the older version. Considering it’s a free app, no complaints. The one thing that gets a little annoying is that it kinda scolds you when you enter more than one drink back-to-back, saying “drinking too fast isn’t good for you” or whatever. Considering you can’t always enter every portion of water in real time (say, if you’re driving or in a meeting), I’d think that entering a couple of servings at a time would be pretty standard for most people. It’s not like they don’t allow you to do it or anything, but the warning gets old and it would be nice if you could disable it after the first time. But all in all it’s a nice, useful and entertaining app.
Definitely a good way to hydrate!
by Coco 🥔🙃 on 2019/09/30 20:16
Plant Nanny is over all great! It has totally helped me stay hydrated in a cute fun way :) Some things that I would have a problem with are lil minor things, that might not be a problem for other people; I’m still in school, and phones aren’t aloud, so I end up putting all the water i drank that day at once, and it always says I’m drinking too much at once. Another thing is when it’s time to get a new plant, I would have to buy a new one immediately. Sometimes when I had fully grown up a plant, I just wouldn’t have enough money for a new different plant or the one I wanted. Once again, great app! A lil recommendation to the creators, more types of plants! I like the ones on there now, just a few more would be great!
Sadly prefer the original Plant Nanny
by DellaAnneDiamond on 2019/01/30 18:49
I was excited to see a new version of Plant Nanny, because while it’s been my favorite water tracking app for years, I thought it could use some improvements, mostly around reminders. (My “day” doesn’t necessarily end at midnight, and even if I logged water at 7:58AM, I’d get a reminder to drink water at 8AM, which seemed silly.) With all that was advertised with this new app, I thought some of those flaws would be addressed. NOPE. And now you also can’t easily toggle between cup sizes. Sure, I have my trusty 24 oz bottle, but if I just have a glass or use a different bottle I either have to a) go into settings to switch the cup size each time, which is inconvenient, or b) try to remember the difference on my own and only log it when I reach the default cup size, which defeats the purpose of a tracker. Sadly I’m going back to the original for now and just hope it’ll remain compatible.
Love it
by sk8rdude63 on 2019/07/15 03:52
Personally, I really like the new look, looks much more polished and friendly than the first Plant Nanny. I don’t really think the interface is all that confusing, if anything I think it looks better. The only feedback I have is that the first had more options like pots, plants, the choice of backgrounds, etc. It isn’t much of a bother since the real goal is just trying to drink more water and backgrounds may not help that much, but it was a nice detail I appreciated. I hope there is more plants being worked on, currently there is not that many and one of my biggest motivators to stay on track was the excitement of unlocking new plants. Overall VERY cute and helpful app, looking forward to more updates! P.S love the music as well.
Cute Way To Encourage Drinking Water!
by Mawc111 on 2019/12/13 01:47
I, like everyone else, need to hydrate myself more each day. Goal is 7 glasses a day (10 even better), and the adorable plants in this app make me want to drink more in real life so my plants can grow faster! Only complaint I have though is in the previous (first) Plant Nanny app, I got a spring onion plant from some kind of award. I LOVE onions, so it would be nice if it could move over to this version of the app. The only reason I have the old plant nanny app is for that one plant only. Hopefully, if it gets added here, I can choose it as my next plant (if that’s how it works)!! Lovely app besides that!! I use no other water tracker, as this is perfect and should last me a while ☺️ Let’s see if they listen/read my review...hehe
Fan of Original; 2 Seems to Be Listening Now
by Arica Tuesday on 2019/05/22 02:30
Thought I’d give the second one a go again after a hiatus from both. It looks like 2 is finally taking action. Thank you for adding cup size. Took me a bit to figure out how to hold the water button and slide it to the cup size you want and then let go, but once learned it’s actually kind of nice. Could be a little more comfortable though (right above water button as opposed to the right side? Bigger?) also maybe a small guided tutorial on how to use it and Cup Volumes. Improvement when it comes to turning urine into golden clovers, but yes, they looked like popcorn to me at first glance as well ^^* Very charming otherwise, new, more cohesive design sense and addition of creatures is cool!
Great App
by Funnngi on 2019/06/26 14:32
We live in Arizona where water is essential. I also coach cross country and we run all summer long....even when it is 115 degrees out...so water intake is very important. I like this app because it really makes you aware of how much water you need based on your activity level, height, and weight. My athletes thought they were consuming enough water but after using the app (mandatory to have the app for summer training) they realized they were not drinking enough water. They admit they do feel better after the workouts and do not have the dry mouth during runs since they have been using the app. I would agree. The plants and pots and other animations just make it fun. I also like the reminders.
Super helpful!
by wildflxwers on 2019/03/09 22:50
I love this app so much, and it's art design is adorable. I am going to provide a little bit of feedback for the creators: I think that sometimes when you log water, you possibly did it at a specific time, and then logged it later. I do this a lot, so it always shows the "Dont drink so fast" icon and pop-up. So whenever you log water, I think that there should be an option to select a time you logged the water, to make the logging process more accurate. This is exceptionally helpful when let's say you have your bottle amount set to 16, but you drank a whole waterbottle that was 32oz. Again, this is just some feedback. other than this, I overall love the app!
Fun and easy to follow
by Rise86 on 2020/01/12 19:44
I’m a gamer since I was little. And I always loved tamagotchis. This is basically a combo of those two things in one. Except that it’s simpler and it just requires for you to drink water. This is my 4th day drinking the right amount water and more. I dislike water and if anything I drink like a glass a day. Not healthy at all. After three days of following the little plant I feel so much better and haven’t even gotten a gastritis episode which it’s pretty much every day! I’m impress how much the water intake actually helps. People say it, Doctors say it but it’s just mind blowing when you feel it instead. All thanks to Nanny Plant. I’m happy with the results.
The cringe is too real
by asdfgsgh on 2020/02/20 23:13
As far as using this app for hydration reminders, it does its job. However the design of the original app was a lot more straightforward, simple, and fun— which this one doesn’t even come close. There’s actually a lot of things I hate about this app but the worst for me is it’s cringey graphics and music. It’s like one of those terrible animes that’s overly cute and baby-ish. I stuck it out for a few days to give it a chance, but the cringe of the whole set up made me want to tell my cute little adorable plant to go stick itself everytime i gave it water. I’ve never written a review for an app before but I’m doing it now because I’m so upset they went a full 180 after producing a really good app the first time. At least they’re keeping the original app available for now so I’ll be using that one as long as they have it.
In Love!!
by Micah Roe on 2019/11/25 17:28
I absolutely love this app! I personally have never been a big water drinker. And I’ve currently have been wanting to take care of my self better. And this is a great app to help with drinking more water. It’s a game as well as a tracker. It motivates you to drink more water by you wanting to see your plant level up and grow! It also doesn’t just say you need a certain amount of cups of water. But it gives the certain amount for your need. Depending on how much you weigh and exercise it adds up to how much water you will need. I need 9 cups according to my weight and how much I exercise. The plants are just absolutely adorable! I love the app! I totally recommend it!
Fun health conscious game
by fatrolf on 2019/09/27 00:16
I had the original plant nanny downloaded, and switched over to 2 about a month ago. The app gives you a fun and gentle reminder to help you remember to keep hydrated. It’s certainly helped me, even after several months of playing the game! The plants are happy and appreciative of your care and it makes keeping tabs on your water consumption more fun. The ONLY thing I would change is possibly having more things to collect or purchase from the in-game market with your clovers. There’s more in this version than in v.1, but to keep interest Id love to see more plants or trinkets to collect.
My favorite tracker minus one thing..
by Stroppy moon on 2019/08/08 16:27
I just want to say that I absolutely love this app. Everything about it is fantastic and I couldn’t enjoy it more. However, one of my biggest critiques of this app is that there is very little to do. I find myself really enjoying the idea of raising my plants and discovering new ones, but in reality there’s nothing more to do with this app. I think a fantastic addition to the app would be to take advantage of the accounts and make some sort of friend-based things. I also think it would be helpful to have a custom measurement of whatever it is you might be drinking. For example, I don’t find myself ALWAYS having a 500ml water bottle. Great app. I just wish there was more.
Missing Old Features
by love2lovehim on 2019/01/29 14:02
I’ve been using Plant Nanny for over a year to track my water intake and have gotten attached to the app. I was very excited to try Plant Nanny 2 and while love the new look of it, it’s missing old features that I love from the original Plant Nanny. For starters, there is no collection of cups in Plant Nanny 2; I drink a variety of ounces and it’s annoying to have to change the size every time I finish a glass. Additionally, in Plant Nanny, I knew what percentage I had finished right on the main screen; in Plant Nanny 2, I have to click on an icon to see it. These issues probably don’t matter if you’ve never used the original Plant Nanny, but they make my experience on Plant Nanny 2 mildly annoying. I think I’ll stick with the original Plant Nanny for now.
It’s cute, but the original is better
by maebaby1978 on 2019/03/03 03:17
I prefer the original Plant Nanny app. The design of the original is better and I preferred them being in front of the window than outside. The daily reward is always clovers for me and you can only use those to buy pots. I can’t get enough acorns to get more than the first two plants which can be monotonous. Yes, the first plant is free, but I liked having more variety to choose from. I don’t like having to go to the settings to change the amount of water I drink each time. I also liked being able to visit the old plants and collect seeds from them. They don’t even have an option to buy acorns, which I would do. I hope they incorporate those options into the new Plant Nanny. I don’t see myself using it for much longer if they don’t.
Love this app!
by roni61900 on 2020/02/20 02:06
I’ve been meaning to start drinking more water for awhile now, but every time I start to, I always forget or give up within a few days! But since I downloaded this app, I’ve been right on schedule with my water intake thanks to the reminders and have enjoyed all the extra water just for the cute plants to take care of! Definitely would recommend if you’re looking to start drinking more water or just being a little healthier about your water habits in general (it even warned me not to drink water too quickly when I recorded drinks too close together!)
Awesome app
by EGE1108 on 2019/11/25 13:54
I recently realized how little water I have been drinking. I already get frequent headaches, but they’re we’re even more frequent and getting worse. Then I found this app. I have been taking in exactly as much water the app said I should, and feel so much better. I haven’t even gotten one headache these past two weeks. I also love how the app tells you how much water you need to drink based on your activity. I had no idea I need to drink 9 cups a day! I have already recommended this app to so many people and will continue to recommend it. (Plus, the little plants are so cute!)
Suggestion
by Iwasforcedtoreviewthis on 2020/01/26 04:05
This app is adorable and so far the only water app I’ve been able to keep up with with fear of my plant getting sick. However, as someone who struggles with water intake it would be nice to have a slow build up to the amount water needed. For example, for the first three days as my seed gets the water it needs it could go up each day in amount as the plant grows. There is also no accomplishment medal or anything like it and with competing apps that do this, it might be something to look into. Thank you for the hard work on this app!
Needs changes for me to switch over.
by HarryPotterFan12345 on 2019/02/08 14:09
I’ve been playing the original plant nanny for a week now and it’s really helpful. I wanted to switch to this new version, but I can’t because it’s so inconvenient. The art is super cute, (a little lazy that this new version doesn’t have a day/night cycle), but there are certain aspects I can’t play with. First of all, the water intake ratio is WAY TOO HIGH. The issue is that I don’t drink any water, forcing me to then drink over 90 fl oz instantly to keep this plant alive is absolutely ridiculous, and it can’t be edited without changing my weight. Also, the drink size shelf from the original game was very very helpful, why is that not in here?? The set sizes are ridiculous to have to switch in the settings every time, and don’t have custom inputs. Stop bug fixing and fix the real issues here.
Function over Beauty Please
by ishipnizza1 (kerrigan) on 2019/03/21 01:27
I feel as though Plant Nanny 2, although the graphics are much more beautiful, took a step in the wrong direction. It’s lacking a few features from the first app, for one, the option to add multiple different sized glasses. I don’t always drink from the same cup all day and even changing the size daily is an inconvenience. Also with the first app, the iPhone notification badge with the count of how many glasses I had left to drink was a great reminder every time I picked up my phone but now the badge goes away with the second app. I do hope they make these changes with the second app though because it is beautiful and the new plants are intriguing!
Enjoying it so far
by Viviolay on 2019/09/26 16:43
Just got this new app and it’s definitely made me more mindful about water. I was skeptical that the plant wouldn’t die if I didn’t drink (I need to believe it would to take it seriously) and drank only a little yesterday. I was surprised this morning to find my poor plant shriveled :( even tho dehydrating my body should be enough motivation, seeing that poor plants face made me jump up and down two glasses right away!! Some people are motivated by their personal health. Some people are motivated by cute chibi plants. Whatever works lol
Love it but.....
by Fly baby MO on 2019/09/27 16:53
I enjoy the app very much. This version is more than the first. I feel it’s easier to switch from the cup size than version 1. But I really wish that I could mark my preset cup from my Apple Watch. I have the app set up where I get reminders every hour. Well for me in my busy day, I remember to drink the water but not to mark it in the app. So if I can’t remember to mark it, I can’t know by memory if I drunk my goal amour of water. If it can be marked on the Apple Watch, then I can have this app one of the apps on my watch face for quick access and mark it quickly. Just a thought when you do an update. Thank you
Still fun, but needs work
by KpopIdols.Love.Me on 2019/02/03 19:54
I was a huge fan of the simplicity of the first Plant Nanny app. This app needs the following: a choice to save cups and their measurements-having to keep changing the custom measurements is irritating.; easier UI- there are many interface interactions that make no sense and are introduced so quickly that I didn’t know how to see my grown plants. Also trying to swipe through the different plant cards needs work. Many text-box modules in the status section make no sense and need to be removed.; Also there needs to be a way to take the plants from the first Plant Nanny app and transfer them to the second one if this app is truly going to be a replacement.
Just downloaded today and already finding things I don’t like...
by jjessbeckk on 2020/02/20 00:33
I understand that my body only needs a minimum amount of water per day, but I usually drink about a gallon. When I log more water after I hit my goal, the app essentially scolds me for drinking “too much water.” It’s only 4:30pm. What am I just supposed to be thirsty for the rest of the evening? Seems kinda silly to me. The upper limits should be anything over a gallon, and even then it should just be a reminder and not make the user feel ashamed for drinking more than the minimum amount of water needed for their body. The calculated amount should be the MINIMUM amount of water you drink, not the maximum.
Newer version is so much cuter!
by LucyNYC on 2019/04/12 19:59
I heard about this at a WW Meeting, and I am always struggling to drink enough water. Loved the concept and it has motivated me to have healthier habits in a fun way. I checked out the original version, but thought the characters and design on this newer version were much cuter. (i am into all things Kawaii) My only reason for not giving 4 stars is that it is not tech moron intuitive. I am middle aged and do not do any gaming whatsoever, so I had a learning curve a little bit (I will say that if things are too simple then we do not exercise our brains, so the learning curve is better for my brain health in the end)
Good for what I need
by Brianna McDonald05 on 2019/05/05 03:06
It’s a good tracker for drinking my water... I only decided to get this because the original plant nanny is not compatible with Apple Watch. It is okay, and I’ve seen some reviews that you have to go into the settings to change the quantity of water, but I don’t know if there’s a new update or this has always been there but they didn’t see it, but if u go to setting them cup size, mark all three extra cup sizes and next time you track your water, hold it down and slide your finger to select the size you want. I just got it a couple days ago but it seems to be working fine.
Need better watch functionality
by Alieraisu on 2019/12/27 00:11
This app is very cute and I’m enjoying it already but I feel it could do with a few improvements. First is the Apple Watch interface. There’s almost nothing to it and you can’t add water on the watch which is kind of silly since not everyone is next to their phone all day long. Next is the ability to change daily requirements without changing your weight. I set it up but I feel like 13 glasses of water is a lot. Third is (as has been stated by a lot of other reviews) the need for the ability to input ounces manually since we don’t always drink the same size glass all day long.
Cute app, wish I could edit records
by L. DeLuca on 2019/07/07 16:53
This app is very cute and has been great for helping me track my water. I wish I could edit previous days though. The way the app works, water is logged at the current time (there’s no way to edit when you drank the water.) This is usually good because it encourages immediate feedback and simplifies the app. However, if you log water past midnight, it will count for the next day, and show that you missed your goal for the current day. I wish I could edit the number of cups for previous days, that way my counts would stay accurate.
Plant Nanny 2!!!
by heztastic on 2019/01/23 21:12
I have been using Plant Nanny 1 for nearly a year, and it really helped me monitor my water intake and motivated me to stay hydrated. Plant Nanny 2 has a different art style, which may seem too cutesy compared to the first Plant Nanny to some people. But I love it. Anyway, the greenhouse is a nice new addition, and I look forward to discovering new creatures and completing more quests! The app is still new, so there aren’t as many plants or pots to unlock as the first Plant Nanny (yet!!!) but I’m sure that as time goes on the developers will add more content. Thank you for the Plant Nanny and Walkr apps!!
Everyone needs this app!
by hydro flask nation on 2019/11/17 23:18
I remember seeing this app somewhere a long time ago on the App Store thinking it was so clever and cute. So when my friend said she needed to drink more water, I recommended the app even though I had never used it. She absolutely loves it! It had boosted her energy and patience and she’s been using it and talking about it constantly. So I decided to try it. I’ve had it for about a month, and it’s been fantastic for me! I love the Kawaii art and the little gift packages. Everyone should use this app! Thanks to the creators!
Fun, and super cute!
by Wolf love dragons on 2019/09/27 04:40
A lovely game! I personally am guilty of not actually accurately tracking my water (more of an estimate at the end of the day) but it’s so fun! It’s part of my night time routine EVERY DAY! I collect all my seeds and then go to bed. Helpful to tell you how much water to drink, and fun to drink it so your plant stays healthy! Not to mention it’s the cutest thing to watch your plants grow. Honestly, the leveling system for your personal flourish level could use some work- it’s far too slow and unclear as to how to gain xp points to raise it. But that’s my only issue!
Water goals
by The Beautiful One 7 on 2020/01/06 07:57
This app is great and fun and keeps me on track to my water goals. I find I am more keen to drink water as I want to complete my journeys and quests. I am loving to find new creatures and complete my little missions. It’s fun and easy to use and the app layout is easy on the eyes and cute. I like using it for me and friends and the plants are adorable. I like that you can name them too. I collect seeds a lot daily from making the greenhouse. Try it you will be come addicted to it and drink more water. It helps you have fun and get healthy

It actually is working for me!!!
by Adorabelle(: on 2019/12/30 22:44
So, I'm TERRIBLE at reminding myself to drink water throughout the day.

Water goals

This app is great and fun and keeps me on track to my water goals. I find I am more keen to drink water as I want to complete my journeys and quests. I am loving to find new creatures and complete my little missions. It’s fun and easy to use and the app layout is easy on the eyes and cute. I like using it for me and friends and the plants are adorable. I like that you can name them too. I collect seeds a lot daily from making the greenhouse. Try it you will be come addicted to it and drink more water. It helps you have fun and get healthy
