Picture Perfect isn’t so perfect
by yakkerdss on 2020/10/24 04:13
After the 2nd to the last update, the very last game (hot pursuit)in Picture Perfect will not play correctly. Kate and her partner’s icons don’t show up. I hit go, the timer clicks down, I click everywhere and nothing happens, and then the girl escapes. It worked before the update, I just hadn’t solved it yet. I was so excited when the most current update came so quickly, but it didn’t solve the problem.

Great games! Fun puzzles you can solve on your own for free or buy hints if you get stuck.
More keys
by 1Rose71 on 2020/10/21 02:15
This game is so good but yet so annoying we have to wait every three hours just to get a key to continue playing so that means it gonna take you like three months before you can even play all of the games no one wants to pay for games in these days we watch enough ads so the developers can get paid so why do we have to pay for keys also.Other than that I love you all games I’ve played them all and completing them all except for this this one because of needing keys.
Love!
by Addkdjddnx on 2020/10/21 00:22
I am a huge fan of these games! I was so excited when there was an update because the new game Picture Perfect was ready! Playing Murder inn right now which is probably the most difficult but I’m really enjoying it! But near the end of the game when you have the place the tiles (flower crown bird leaf) into the door there seemed to be a glitch. I only placed 2 or 3 into the door and had the rest at the bottom and it opened the door and I wasn’t able to even finish the puzzle. I really can’t get enough of these games! I’ve played them all! I really try to not use hints but it’s hard not to! When it comes to the games you can download separately, when I get stuck, I will usually delete the game and move to another one. Then eventually I redownload that game and come back at it with a fresh pair of eyes. I know it sounds weird but I just really want to complete the game without hints so to keep me from looking that’s what I do! However I don’t think I’ve complete much or any without taking a peak at something. The new game Picture Perfect may be the first time for me and trust me, it hasn’t been easy but I’m doing it! Picture Perfect has been a blast to play! Puzzles were very fun and got me to think. A couple that I completed I still need an explanation like putting the paint in the beakers. I came up with the right answer but really was just a guess after I had already tried ones I thought were for sure. I honestly never would have guess what the actual right answer was. The puzzle near the ends with the stairs/keys/doors was a lot of fun; liked that one a lot!
Good quality puzzles - but consider handicaps
by jdib78 on 2020/10/20 19:33
I’ve always been a fan of escape room style puzzle games and the many free/freemium games I’ve played have been pretty much the same old thing. But these games add a dramatic element I’ve never seen before that really make them more enjoyable. Not only must you find the appropriate items to solve the puzzles but you have to solve story puzzles as well, which just add to the fun. So I give them five stars for that. If I have any criticism it would be to take user handicaps into consideration, namely color-blindness. There are several puzzles that require clear color vision in order to solve, and depending on the user’s particular type of color-blindness, these puzzles can be next to impossible, even with the hints. For instance, I’m red-green color-blind, and I have a difficult time distinguishing between colors that have red or green in them. So, if you have items that are blue, purple, orange, and yellow, I often can’t distinguish the blue from the purple or the orange from the yellow. Sometimes green looks like yellow as well. So even if I know HOW to solve the puzzle, I can’t. It can be very frustrating to have to ask a family member to help you solve a puzzle that should be simple. But other people have different variations of color-blindness, so fixing the problem for some may make it worse for others. My recommendation would be to include additional distinguishable markings on the colored objects that help differentiate them for those with this handicap. One other small annoyance is the lack of ability to zoom into the scene. Sometimes I think I see something but nothing happens when I tap there. I can’t tell if it’s because there’s nothing there or it’s just my fat thumbs. I usually have to take a screenshot with my phone just to zoom in. There have been times I’ve tapped all over an area never finding anything, but when I finally use a hint, it shows an item hidden in plain sight that I just missed with my taps. Pretty frustrating to lose hard-earned stars like that. Otherwise, I love this game!
Awesome escape

Some are incredibly tough and mind boggling but overall great escape game , looking forward to more ! This is first place to check if anything new has come... great graphics as well !
Nice but not working now
by koptomist on 2020/10/20 14:30
I would ideally give a 5 star review since I really love the Haiku brand of games. I have just updated my app and now it won’t load at all, it just flashes the haiku logo and then quits. I deleted the app and reloaded it,but to no avail. An updated app is no use to me if I cannot use it. Please respond
Fun game so far.
by Lippy Lou on 2020/10/20 02:39
I downloaded the app recently and started playing one of the titles. It’s fun so far. Great puzzles and the graphics are great too. I’m looking forward to playing more.

Amazing
Plays as advertised - shame that’s exceptional but it is!
by Angelrising on 2020/10/12 02:21
Finally a game that plays as billed without tons of clickbait/ads and recycled candy crush gameplay. Fun and challenging puzzles and thoughtful gameplay. I’m enjoying it.
Awesome game
by Sha_Bay56 on 2020/10/11 03:43
Love the game and the puzzles are pretty cool. Some take longer than others but it’s the joy of the game. Only thing I don’t like is having to wait THREE HOURS for TWO keys to continue chapters. I don’t mind a waiting period but three hours is way too excessive. If I didn’t get the notification that the keys renewed, I probably wouldn’t keep playing the game. The only flaw but otherwise, awesome game!
Great Stories - Great game
by dhdbeheh on 2020/10/11 03:26
All of the puzzles are great and fun to play. Also, Kate and Murphy are the ultimate “will they/won’t they” romance. I get so excited every time there’s a new Detective Kate game, and Picture Perfect did not disappoint. I love the back and forth between her and Murphy as much as playing the game itself. My only question - will they ever finally get together??
Haiku games RULE
by great song expert101 on 2020/10/10 04:46
The Haiku developers are incredible. Graphics and physics are amazing. Puzzles are challenging and unique. Free to download and basically ad-free to play. What more could you want? Picture Perfect might be the best one yet. Hurry and make more. Outstanding!!
Has no word to add!! So master level
by Blah_Ymc on 2020/10/08 04:14
I rarely leave reviews on app store. For Haiku Games, I feel the need to do so since it's so perfect in many ways!! User friendly, not so expensive, life-like graphics and excellent storyline. I really recommend this to those who, like me, loves solving puzzles with excellent graphics. Nice craft!! Thanks a lot developers Im truly grateful for this amazing game series.🤩
Logic at its best!
by Fallettistyles on 2020/10/06 02:34
I’ve played a lot of these types of games and these, by far, are the best! I love the interaction and that they offer different levels! I just wish keys to unlock chapters regenerated a little quicker!

LOVE these games!
by Kuro_hime on 2020/10/01 05:23
I have been a big fan of Haiku games for years and am really loving the central game hub they have implemented most recently. I like how they build on certain series, while also still ,among sure to come up with new stories with unique characters and settings. The puzzles are really great. Yes, some have solutions that are frustratingly non-intuitive, but the majority are solvable with a little perseverance! Great concept, with a perfect balance between adventure and puzzle, and good narratives as well! I always get excited when a new games comes out.
Fun!

No complaints so far!
Can’t believe they’re free
by PGMT2017 on 2020/09/30 14:01
I get excited when you release a new game. I know I can count on a quality game with puzzles that require some thinking but don’t require some obscure solution. Thank you to the developers for providing these awesome games.
Seriously Addictive
by kbird1104 on 2020/09/30 08:19
The puzzles are challenging and the story line keeps you pulled in. Great game!
All about the money now /:
by 😐😕😑😠😤😒😔😕😑😑 on 2020/09/27 19:52
Honestly, I love these games. Playing the most recent game though was very frustrating. Before, you would get stars every time you solved a puzzle but now it’s impossible to have more than 6 stars per chapter. They raised the prices for buying stars and if you think about it, it’s a huge rip off. 30 stars for 5 bucks? Most puzzles that you get stuck on require 30 stars to skip it. Lower the prices of stars or bring back the stars you get when you complete a puzzle. It’s off putting and I would find myself playing less due to the frustration of being stuck on a puzzle and having the option to either waste 5 dollars on skipping or just trying over and over every few days until you complete it.
DOWNLOAD ASAP!!!
by Kjs19 on 2020/09/27 05:10
This game is so addicting and fun!! I wish the lives refilled quicker than 2 hours, but each game you play lasts a good amount of time and they pull you in. Each game is really exciting. Some make you think a little more than others, but they’re not so hard that it’s impossible to progress.
Two for a clue
by Nomad-01 on 2020/09/26 03:07
My wife and I play this together, which makes it more fun and less frustrating, since she is good at some things and I’m good at other things. I am thrifty with stars, she ...not so much. We tease each other as to who is helping the other more. Of course I help her more but that’s OK, she can believe what she wants. Great game, try it.
SUCH A GOOD GAME!
by Panko1999 on 2020/09/25 03:56
The graphics are amazing, the puzzles are very interesting, the story lines compelling, and it’s overall a fantastic adventure experience. I’ve been looking for a game like this for so long and I’m glad I found it. Definitely recommend!
Practically Perfect Games
by Veggienae on 2020/09/23 23:29
These are the brain teaser games I’ve been looking for! The puzzles are always logical and never rely on blind guessing. Many are innovative and go well beyond the five or six types most games rely on. And these puzzles don’t just fit the storyline: they almost always enhance it. Best of all, the few ads never interrupt the game; they come at the beginning or end of chapters. The games are practically perfect in every way!
Can NOT Stop!
by Ky135759 on 2020/09/23 16:08
I have now downloaded and played every single game they have made and now do not know what to do with myself. I am obsessed. The graphics the puzzles (that sometimes completely rack my brain). I just cannot express enough how much I love the developers and everyone involved in creating such a fun and innovative game. Thank you to Haiku Game Co. I hope there is more to come!
Stellar job as always

Challenging puzzles, solid story line, lovable characters. You guys deliver so hard. Every. Single. Time. I’m so hooked on Haiku. Keep ‘em coming!!!
Best Adventure Games/Puzzles (No hidden object)
by Protection/Health Bar on 2020/09/23 08:36
Haiku makes the best adventure games with the most interesting puzzles. The time they take crafting the story, puzzles, and characters ensures that you are going to get a superior product without paying and minimal advertising. They are well above the major Adventure/Puzzle game makers in quality and originality. If you typically burn through games and are used to the every week releases “free to try, pay to unlock collectors edition” hidden object/puzzle games you might be surprised that a small independent game company has set the bar. Don’t be. Haiku doesn’t put out weekly games, the put out great games. Until next time Adventure Escape or Solve It, bravo! Can’t wait for the release of Haunted Hunt again. Long time fan. (Trapmaker, Allied Spies, Time Library) Note to developers: Please, color blind mode. Red/green cb affects many males. The neon light puzzles kill me. Neon green or yellow? purple or blue? You are not the only developers that have this issue, but you might be the only ones who would care enough to come up with a solution.
Fantastic
by DiMartino22 on 2020/09/23 04:55
Love the game, absolutely love it. The only reason I won’t give it 4 stars is because you have to pay to play and by that I mean you have to buy keys to play different stories. That is a huge turn off
Great games, great app, great devs
by lllllllllllllllillllllllll on 2020/09/21 22:58
The games are fun and intriguing. A super fun way to get your daily dose of puzzles. Plus new content is added often. There are barely any bugs and when they arise they get fixed quickly. Perfect amount of time between earning keys, and just enough hints. If you like Haiku, you’ll love this app!
Neat game

Enjoying the game very much.
These are the best!
by SoBelle on 2020/09/18 20:48
I need more Painted Worlds!! By far the best adventure yet. I still have a number to complete, though. Haiku games go above to ensure a challenging, yet enjoyable game. They aren’t so hard that you get frustrated, yet sometimes you do feel like you just need that one clue... or two. Truly such a a joy to play! Especially, Painted Worlds! Blew me away! So fun!!
Amazing puzzle game
by Mr_Wirenut on 2020/09/18 15:50
I’ve played through a few of the stories so far and am pretty impressed with the puzzles, stories and quality of this app. The puzzles are challenging but not unachievable and if you get stuck there are hints (or you can just lookup a walkthrough guide online). I do suggest playing on a tablet because some things that you need to click on are small and not easily seen on a phone. Great app!!!
Obsessed
by Dwalktx on 2020/09/16 17:21
Since I discovered this game in an ad, I’ve been absolutely enthralled. The only thing I would recommended is a little more direction on some of the puzzles. I still am not sure how I solved 1 or 2.
Great challenging puzzles

Two hours wasted on a broken puzzle
by EnviousDominous on 2020/09/15 07:00
Pirate's Cove Chapter 4 is bugged. The first puzzle where you have to arrange the gemstones. I stewed over that one for two hours before breaking down and looking up a solution. The solution was the EXACT layout that I had. Your game wouldn't acknowledge that the puzzle was completed. STOP MAKING GAMES IF YOU CAN'T FINISH THEM!
“Patiently” waiting
by SarahBHdz on 2020/09/13 07:57
When is the new game going to come out? I check daily and I’ve seen “Soon” in the box for a long time now. Can’t wait to play it!

Fun and Distracting
by Sellerofpurple00 on 2020/09/12 03:27
It’s really fun to have something to distract the mind from all the political hype from the main stream drive-by media! Thank you for making these games for such a time as this!
Creative - but the puzzles aren’t always clear
by NikkiRoda on 2020/09/11 11:59
So far, very excited about all the games to play... but even after a day, I’m feeling a little frustrated that some of the puzzles aren’t clearer - I feel I’m ‘wasting’ hints on stupid clarification. They probably will get more intuitive as I play on, but worth giving a heads up
Color puzzles hard to solve for color blind people
by HuskyGeek on 2020/09/11 02:59
It would be nice to have the option to switch to a pattern or something other than red, green, brown, orange which are difficult to tell the differences for color blind people.
Wonderful

Escape games with a story line! Love it!!
Well worth downloading and playing
by DBKIII on 2020/09/09 23:30
These puzzle games are high quality and are a blast to play! You can either buy to unlock or wait to unlock chapters. These are truly fun to play and you might have to watch an add at the beginning of a chapter for 8 seconds. The chapters are pretty long so there is very little add time with a lot of play time. Just have to wait to unlock chapters. This is a very high quality game with multiple scenarios. I have almost finished two and already this is one of my favorite games. Thank you for doing it right!!!

Love it but it’s hard and expensive
by Mev72 on 2020/09/09 01:30
I will probably have to delete this app because it costs a lot of money between keys and hints. I noticed things I definitely clicked on multiple times wouldn’t work until I spent hint stars which is frustrating and another reason I will likely delete it. It’s too bad I enjoy it so much.
Mostly Great
by V Style on 2020/09/08 12:33
I have really enjoyed the game for the most part. It is just difficult enough where I cannot figure things out too quickly yet if I put forth effort I can complete the challenges/puzzles. I don’t mind if I get to a point where I need more clues and have to purchase more stars because i can decide if I want to do that or not? However I noticed on chapter 8 of Paradise Mystery, there are a series of pieces of paper that you have to put together to figure out a combination to a safe or something. My problem is I used stars I purchased for a clue, which is fine however the clue is incorrect. It says the order(mailbox table bedroom) one way but I used an additional 20 stars based on that wrong info. The actual order was table bedroom mailbox. Not happy and just felt like it was a trick to make me purchase more stars.

by PandaPox93 on 2020/09/05 20:19
I have played through the Trapmaker series, and I can’t get enough of it. I’m playing through again. I love all the Haiku games!
It’s free. Watch an ad or two. Worth your time.
by Gddyuhgchgff on 2020/09/05 01:10
The keys needed to open the next levels take a while (3 hrs) to regenerate. You can always buy more keys if you’re on a tear. I’ve played two scenarios all the way through. The puzzles are fair and you can solve them with the visual clues given. I’ve enjoyed the chapters so far. If you like room escape puzzles you should be satisfied. I’m looking forward to tackling the advanced stories.
Absolutely love it
by Jrhxjsbxinsixhwk on 2020/09/04 18:10
Your games are by far the best escape games I have ever played. I understand a lot of people get upset by the long wait time, but it’s free! Your escape games are the only ones on the App Store I find enjoyable. One small complaint though, I wish there was an estimate of when the new stuff was coming to this app. I don’t care about the long wait times, because, like I said, it’s free, but it would be nice to know when it’s coming instead of having to check everyday. Other than that no complaints!
Awesome

Haiku games are really, really clever and fun. They’re engaging, like a great book. I have played almost all of them and am preparing for a deep depression. I’ve tried comparable games to get my fix but nothing compares to Haiku.
Worst game ever
by pricktrump on 2020/08/31 21:55
If you can’t understand the game in 15 minutes, it needs lots of help. It is only frustrating. Don’t down.
Expensive
by She? Oh me! on 2020/08/31 01:07
Love this game, wish the keys and stars were easier to earn though. There are a few puzzles that even after I buy enough hints to get the answer to solve, they still don’t make sense. I go back to check the clues with the given answer or combination and still can’t figure out how they came up with the answer. But still love!!

One of my favorite apps of 2020
by SamWizeIII on 2020/08/23 19:38
I really really love this game and how it’s basically free to play. the only in our purchases or if you’re too freaking impatient to wait for new keys and hints. I will say my only real complaint however, is that it takes a while for you to refill on keys. Constructive feedback:Maybe add more to the full amount of keys, and have it take a little less time to refill.
Excellent and Thank You.
by yillo79 on 2020/08/23 17:20
The mini-game puzzles in these stories are the best I’ve played. For example, in “Dark Ruins” the swimming in underwater caves game, the blocking the alligators with a gate game, the creating a path through croc pit game, etc. are so fun to play because you have to try, fail, accumulate knowledge, try again, etc. so that when you do “win,” it is really satisfying and fun. Add to that - the mini-games are just plain pretty to look at (like the gems and casings mini-game in the “Pirate” mystery), cleverly fit into the overall story “plot” (rescuing kidnapped partner game in “Dark Ruins”), and often unique (dumb-waiter game in “Pirate” story). So, whoever is creating and designing these, if anyone ever rolls their eyes at you because you make games for a living, know this: I live in a “hotspot,” I take care of and worry about an 88 yr old parent in my home and I worry about a 19 yr old who went off to a college dorm. I worry almost all the time. But, I find I can take my mind off things for a while when I play these games. I truly need and appreciate that. So, kudos to you.
Potential, but a rip off
by meNstl on 2020/08/22 19:27
First, the game has good ideas, but execution is horrible. The scenes are hard to see and distinguish. Sometimes very blurry. If you get stuck towards the end of a scene and want to buy a hint, you have to pay for all the previous hints up to your save point to get the current scene’s hint. What a rip off!!
Mostly fun

Best mobile games I have seen
by Jigoes on 2020/08/21 03:02
I don’t know where to start with these. I’ve been made to expect so little from mobile games, let alone free ones, that something of this quality defies explanation. Amazing artwork, little ads, interesting puzzles, many different stories, original mini games, intriguing plot lines, everything I want in a game. Thank you for making this available for free and thank you for being there for your fans. I wish you all the best.
Extremely fun and a great challenge!
by sunset_skies1 on 2020/08/20 00:57
Haiku mysteries have been my favorite for years! Playing these ones are even better. Even if I can’t afford to get more keys the app still provides good waiting time to refresh the keys so it gives me time to kill solving puzzles from the current chapter. The stories are very attention grabbing which makes it even more fun. Maybe include an optional ad every so often to refresh keys so that keys don’t run out so fast and gives people without money more flexibility.
Awesome!!!!!!!👌

I just love this game! I have played these for about 2months now to give a accurate review. Well the stories are intriguing and the puzzles really are just common sense oriented. Hey I’m still avidly playing and I’m one that normally gets bored and deletes games after about a month. Great job AE keep it up.
Entertaining

I love this game. It’s entertaining. The puzzles are challenging and fun. My only issue is when the characters are talking, you can’t go back if you missed something because you tapped ahead too fast.
Finally!
by Ranchero4293 on 2020/08/17 00:59
I’ve been looking for months for a game exactly like this! Having multiple story lines to choose from keeps one single story from becoming stale, but also allows for plenty creativity. The trap maker trilogy is a blast to play through! The puzzles vary between having an eye for detail, logic, critical thinking, and being able to view the big picture to solve. This provides constant entertainment and challenges, simply wonderful. This game challenges you to be flexible and not get stuck on one play style, which brings a lot more to the table in the short and long run The hints you can ask for provide the perfect amount of help, with out solving it for you. They act as a subtle funnel for your thought process vs “put this piece here” I respect that this isn’t a purely pay to play game. Although you only hold 2 keys max, the recharge time between keys, I feel, is appropriate while still allowing the user to purchase more for a low price should you be charging through each chapter Overall I’m beyond thrilled with this game! This is the only game I haven't deleted off my phone in a matter of days due to boredom or frustration with the pay to play style Well done!
Fun so far

I just started playing yesterday but I’ve been hooked. I enjoy the story line attached to the room escape. My only qualm is having to wait over 2 hours for a key to move onto the next level. I originally took a star off for this, but after reading other reviews about what it takes to produce a high quality interactive game like this, I recognize that not everything should be a free for all.

Puzzles are kind of irritating
by Milahlah on 2020/08/15 14:37
Given that this is a puzzle/escape type game I expect it to be difficult but, I also expect it to make sense. Why would a candy foil replace a microchip? Why would I use some random letter A I found to unscrew the top on the emergency exit button when I have a pair of pliers? How would I know that the victim had a secret Fanny Pack in their pants? Like I get the point is to use everything the game gives you no matter how trivial it is even if it’s weird but, it’s like you’re forcing me to use hints to solve the puzzles, the mini games for the tutorial are so mundane and difficult you just want to skip them to get on with the story. You use almost all your stars just starting to play the game so you’re forced to figure it out after that. The key mechanics remind me of the game Episode and I absolutely abhor that method of finessing money out of your customers. It’s like you have a good game premise but you implemented all the things people can’t stand about other mobile games.
Highly recommend to those like to solve puzzles and don’t mind a bit of drama

Love this game! Never write a app review before but this game makes me wanna say something to compensate their hard work. I’m at “The Covenant” right now, the plot is super intriguing and the puzzles are at proper difficulty. Can’t wait to play next chapter.

I honestly hate having to wait like 3 hours to get keys, would buy keys if I wasn’t broke lol, but a very honest review to you guys, shout out to the art team, programming team, whoever is working on this game, you guys put in some AMAZING effort!♥️

Wait time for keys is ridiculous

Great game, but the wait time for keys and new levels being 2.5+ hours is absurd
Awesome game

Great Gameplay, Keys Take Too Long
by shbnmu12 on 2020/08/07 18:28
I really enjoy this style of game, and AE Mysteries is probably the best venue for this type I’ve played. Interesting storytelling, good graphics, varied levels of experience... however, I have one major issue and that involves the key system. You need a key to unlock each chapter and it takes 3 hours to generate a new one. Furthermore, the game caps you at 2 keys unless purchased. I feel like this should be updated. I would likely purchase a whole version where keys are not necessary, or I would suggest either removing (or upping) the limit of keys one can hold without purchase, or making the regeneration period significantly less - 45 min- an hour. Admittedly, I’m not privy to how app makers earn money on free apps (barring in-app purchases) so maybe this isn’t feasible? Just wish I could play more than two chapters after not playing for 24 hours or often longer!
This is awesome

dumb keys
by Crazy4Penguinz77 on 2020/08/05 08:39
this game is fun and engaging but having to wait 4-5 hours to reload all keys so you can play again is dumb like i understand having a timer but i would like it for it to be shorter time to wait or if you were to keep the 2 hour wait time, then when that timer is done you should give the person 3 keys back to play, otherwise people are going to get frustrated
Super fun and challenging!

Was a fan, STILL a fan aka pay your game designers)
by SydneyM2690 on 2019/01/28 03:42
Haiku games are some of the only escape games in the App Store worth playing. Compelling stories, user friendly, fun puzzles and interaction, and aesthetically pleasing. I’ve been a long time fan. Despite that, I’ve never left a review. I’m leaving a review now because I think it’s important to advocate for a product I enjoy, as well as contextualize this new game format. I know it’s received a lot of (I believe) unfair criticism. Normally I take issue with app models that require you to wait to play, but Haiku escape games are so high quality that I can’t really begrudge them. Most escape games in the App Store are depressingly low quality. Haiku games are the exception and take time, energy and skill to produce and we are lucky enough to play them FOR FREE. Most games like this would require payment upon purchase. Each chapter is long enough that I think that so long as the ads only play after COMPLETING the chapter I don’t think it’s unreasonable for the producers to use this model. This is a quality product that the game designers deserve to be compensated for. A potential solution might be a pricier in-app purchase that gives unlimited keys, or however many keys are needed to complete a story without needing to purchase more. That way users who take issue with the new format can buy out a story and play freely, but game producers are still compensated fairly.
By far the best adventure and /or escape games, paid or free
by FashionistaLA07 on 2020/05/12 19:21
What can I say about the genius of these games? Beautiful graphics, super engaging puzzles, completely immersive storylines, takes you into the games and once it’s over much too soon, leaves you wishing there were more chapters. The cheapskate who had the nerve to call out a company that offers such excellent content as “money grubbers,” are you serious? Most other gaming companies charge a lot for seriously crappy content. I hope this company continues to grow and reach a wider audience, they have what it takes to become a Fortune 500. My only complaints would be wishing they had a faster turnout of games, and having an option to download the separate game instead of the bundled version- I liked it when they kept the games separate and each had a cool opening sequence. Love the WWII one, the spooky and haunted ones, the Kate Grey mysteries (especially Murder Inn), and the Covenant is my new favorite! Please keep growing and making exceptional content.
A sincere but reluctant five stars
by Mistborngriffyn on 2020/07/15 21:04
You see, I love the haiku mystery games. They’re worth my time and twist my brain so I don’t become dull. But with this one, I have one problem that I consistently find: the stars that help with gaining hints are hard to find. Don’t get me wrong, it keeps my eyes peeled so if I do need a hint, I can get it. However, unlike the keys that are supplied over time, they aren’t and have to be found little by little as the game goes on. And to add on to the worry of finding them, they are carried over from other mysteries in the game. This is where I falter on giving the game five stars. The hint stars are harder and harder to find and I have a hard time weighing the facts of buying the stars with money or just trying to figure out something that seems impossible for the next few hours, much less days. It could be operator error on my part as I may not catch on as fast as I’d want or something like that, but I think that it would be something to consider.
Awesome Escape games
by TerraKy on 2020/02/24 16:47
I’m so glad I decided to play your Haiku Escape games, cause usually I like the more realistic style Escape games. But these are so rich with color, texture, story lines, dialogue, and especially game play that I have become hooked on this style of Escape games. I think the puzzles and challenges are very unique and thoughtful. I salute the person(s) that put the logic together for these games. They are geniuses. I can play these games for hours and not get bored or run out of puzzles and challenges because there is a continuous storyline, that keeps me interested and engaged. I like that there are different levels of difficulty too. But even at the “beginner’s” level the challenges are difficult enough to make you think (logically and “outside the box”). Which is what I think an “Escape” challenge should be all about. So keep them coming Haiku. You’re doing an Awesome job keeping someone as mentally picky as me challenged.
It’s actually really interesting
by MalieLynn on 2020/04/28 03:55
I’m really good at escape games & in all honesty my dream career would be investigative work in criminal activity. However, choosing to have a family was more important. That set aside, these games have to be immense to even keep me going. I’ve been “stuck” several times to say the least & I'm not certain if a couple of those moments were my fault or the lack of information given on the games end. So whichever way you look at it, this game is on a streak of not wanting me to uninstall it, that is for sure. I play & play until I figure it out, & trust me... that alone can make you want to lose it 😂😂. No, but really this game is infatuating at first and becomes almost too much to walk away from. ALSO, I’ve purchased one package for $5 that seemed worth it. Don’t just waste money on games unless you have money to waste. Great game. You won’t be disappointed. At. All.
I Love Haiku games!
by Hooked on this game!!! on 2019/05/23 06:27
Haiku games are the best escape games I’ve found and they are free! I’ve played every game so far, and always anticipate the next one. The stories are great, the puzzles are challenging but not unsolvable and the clues are always there (unlike some escape games with puzzles that seem to have no solution but to use a hint or google search). Yes, the new key system makes you wait or pay, but the wait is worth it and the Haiku team deserves payment for their hard work! Besides, the keys return before I need them because I don’t like to rush through the game. That’s another reason I love Haiku games so much; they have substance and length instead of a hurried story and easy puzzles that are over in a couple of hours. Don’t listen to the haters! Play these games and pay these people if you can, they deserve it! Keep up the good work Haiku team! You rock!

Would rather pay upfront
by sugahustler on 2018/12/31 18:11
I’m currently playing Trapmaker, and, so far, the gameplay is great. I’ve always been surprised that your games are free, and I certainly have no problem with you charging for such quality work. However, I would much rather have the option to pay to download, and forgo the keys altogether. Also, if you’re making it a paid app with the keys, there shouldn’t be ads. When I pay to download games, they’re ad-free. Maybe offer a lite version, with keys or limited play, for people to check out the quality, with option to unlock full version? I know I prefer to a) know how much a game is going to cost me upfront, b) have uninterrupted gameplay. And the constant sign-up pop-ups are super annoying. In this age of constant security breaches and spamming, I am very judicious with who I give my information. It’s good to have a sign-up option, but not with a constant pop-up. Great work on another great game!
An amazing developer!
by Just another 20 something on 2020/01/13 19:08
I have been a big fan of Haiku’s individual games but I really think this app is an amazing idea. I genuinely don’t understand how anyone could think this company is money hungry. There is like one other developer that make adventure escape/mystery games that are even close to as good as this one and those aren’t free. You get two passes every few hours for free and if you want to pay for more than that you can. It’s nice being able to have hints carry over from any game you play. The story visuals are amazing, the puzzles ACTUALLY MAKE SENSE and there’s quite a few stories on here with more being added as they can. I love that you don’t have to buy it up front cause I’ve done that once or twice with other apps in the same genre and hated them. I cannot give this app or the developer enough praise.
Great as usual, but different
by DelleeComeOn on 2019/06/04 02:32
When I first saw this new app, I was dubious because it was different than previous Haiku/Adventure Escape games. There were multiple games in one, keys to buy in order to play multiple chapters, a registration screen after every chapter, and even ads after every chapter. I was afraid you had sold out the integrity of your well-made games! Surprisingly, the first one, "Trapmaker", was really fun and probably one of my favorites! But the stuff I previously mentioned was a bit much. If I didn't have patience and waited each day for a new key, I would not have continued playing if I would've had to pay for the next scene. Just my honest opinion! EDIT: I am now on the fourth game, Trapmaker 3, and it just will not let me play. After loading it many times, I might get lucky and get to play for 5 minutes before it crashes again. It started doing this on the last chapter of Cursed Crown. I wonder if it's because there are many games bundled together, instead of one game per app like it used to be??

I love mystery games & puzzles! Not a fan of hidden object games, so this is great! I’ve played all of them & I’m enjoying the new format as well ! I like that I have to wait if I don’t pay. I solve things pretty quickly & Then I don’t spend hours playing when I should be doing other things. Gives me something to look forward to. In the past I’ve deleted games because it took so much of my time; not because it was so difficult, but because I was being irresponsible with the time I was spending playing it. This gives me a balance which I appreciate. Love the themes in this as well. So many others are so dark in nature. These always have positive elements in them & are not occult driven like most other game creators. I know A LOT of people that play from this creator for that reason!
Fun game! But still has some bugs
by Anders8717 on 2020/05/18 21:39
This is a very fun game, but I have recently been noticing some bugs. I have played almost all the different stories and now I’m on the story Covenant. The mini games are having some problems and because of this I can’t get past chapter 2. In chapter 2 there is a mini game where you have to move around pipe parts to make the water flow. If you mess up or want to redo the mini game there’s a redo button... but that doesn’t work... when I press it nothing happens. Since I couldn’t figure out this mini game I decided to spend 30 stars on skipping the puzzle. Once I spent my stars, it didn’t skip the puzzle and first wanted me to pay 30 more stars to skip, so I got distracted and left the game. I came back a day later to see if anything has changed and it did it said skip for 0 stars I keep clicking it but nothing happens. I’ve noticed this with a few other mini games as well.
Love the Haiku games!
by _mj23_ on 2019/03/10 18:29
I’ve never left a review before, but I’ve been hooked on Haiku games for the last month and here’s why: 1. The games are well designed, with good stories. The story arc is the biggest pull for me - it feels like you’re working towards and end goal. For anyone who has played games on PC like Nancy Drew or something, this is a mobile version of them. 2. It’s free! Some other games depend on “energy” that dwindles quickly, and you can only get 10 minutes of playtime. The key system has gotten some flack but I think it makes sense and still allows you to play a full chapter per key! And it only takes 3 hrs to load a new one - if anything this has really helped me not sit down and binge play. I did also buy one of the sets of keys from the in app purchase - these games are made well enough that i feel like it’s worth buying the keys to allow for a longer playing experience. 3. It’s a consistent experience across their games. I like the structure of the games: a tutorial, chapters, the puzzles - it’s different enough to stay interesting, but i like the consistency of actions & length of games. Overall, a set of games that’s worth playing! My faves are still the detective ones - keep them coming!
Y’all hiring??
by kriscava on 2019/04/08 01:16
This game is so amazing that I wish I could say I was a part of the team that made it. I have played every single adventure escape game this developer has made and they never fail to impress me. The mystery aspect keeps me engaged and excited, while the room escape type challenges make the game fun and a great way to pass time. I especially love all the stories about Detective Kate. I have played many of The Room games and while this is similar, I honestly think this is better. It has all the fun puzzle aspects, but also has a more engaging and high stakes story lines. As a writer and an avid mystery reader, this game combines so many of my favorite things. I cannot stop playing and I cannot wait until the next games are released. These games are incredible and I hope to see more soon.
Games are always great but......
by mayaaaaaaaa45817 on 2018/12/30 15:32
Usually love these games but they changed the app format. Now you have to use keys to unlock levels which means I only really play 2 levels every few days. Each key takes 2.5 hours to regenerate which splits up the story line and is super annoying if you’re good at these games and play quickly like me. Also asking for registration all the time is really annoying. I’ve also noticed that certain actions don’t unlock the way they’re supposed to. I completed all the steps for a stage and now the one action (using an item on something) I need to continue won’t work. No matter how many ways I try to use the item on he object it doesn’t work and now I’m stuck with no way of continuing on the game short of completely restarting and taking three days to get to the exact same place. Usually LOVE haiku games but this new app format is horrible. Change it back!!
It’s alright
by joeyy on 2020/03/09 05:37
I don’t like the fact that yeah there’s a bunch of different games to choose from, but you have to unlock “chapters” with no other way then waiting for keys. And not like you’ll keep accumulating them, oh no. It’s like 2 hours for 1? And you get a max of 2. That’s entertaining for all of 5 minutes. The puzzles are hard yes, but being stuck with this stupid kraken at the end of the pirate game, impossible. There is absolutely no kind of skill test to this. They literally put these tentacles sporadically and randomly whenever they want apparently. Can’t reset it if you think you messed up. Nope. Been playing against these stupid things for an hour now getting no where. Waste of time if the other games are gonna be like that too. I get it’s a puzzle game. But at least make it so you’re not playing the same thing going no where for over an hour. Not even worth it if you ask me between waiting to unlock chapters and apparently impossible tasks. Deleting this game. Thanks for wasting my time.
Finally!
by Ranchero4293 on 2020/08/17 00:59
I’ve been looking for months for a game exactly like this!
Bug in new story (scuba diving)
by Everyonehasiphones on 2019/09/13 03:06
Love this game, but noticed a bug in the new story that released today. In the part where you're scuba diving and following the two documents about the fish/coral and which to follow/avoid. There's one area where there's two butterfly fish (meaning I have to follow one). One is accompanied by a blue Tang (which I'm never supposed to follow). However, the other butterfly fish is going right, but there's also a sea anemone in the bottom left corner (which means I'm not supposed to go right). These two rules contradict each other. It turns out that turning right is the correct answer, but according to the rules I shouldn't have gone right... I suggest updating the game and removing that sea anemone so that turning right doesn't conflict with the rules that you set up.

I love u guys!! You make the best games!!!! I believe I played every single mystery game y’all uploaded and now I’m starting to play the one with 3 games in it. (I hope you add more when u can :D). I think the criticism you guys face is super unfair. almost every game on AppStore uses ads and keys/purchases systems. And I, as a fan, really want to support you guys (and hopefully all the rest of the fans want to support you too.) The problem is I don’t really have money to buy stuff, so I’m happy to watch some ads to show my support for your work, because we can see how much work you put into each and every one of your stories. Anyways, I love you all so much. The art is beautiful, the storyline is super interesting and each character is so unique. Keep up the good work:):)
So much fun!
by KaeBear714 on 2019/05/21 18:51
I love Haiku games! They are so much fun! On this one, they changed it so you have to wait a few hours for a new key if you used both of yours. I honestly don’t mind the wait time. I makes it so the game lasts longer and It’s just like other games where you run out of lives, you gotta wait for a new life. I do however think the time you have to wait for one key is extensive. To me though, it’s worth it and makes it better when you can play again. Do NOT let that be the reason you don’t download and play! That is so minimal compared to everything else this game has to offer! I have been WAITING for what seems like forever for a new one to come out and I think this might be their best yet. Great job guys! Keep it up!
Not a fan of the new format
by My cat is evil on 2019/01/08 09:17
Unfortunately, I think I’m all done with this developer after this game (unless something changes). I’ve played every single game since the beginning, and I used to love them. But I was already getting frustrated with some of the newer games before this one. The puzzles became either ridiculously easy, or ridiculously hard (unintuitive, and it felt like they were geared toward having to use/buy hints). This new key thing is a dealbreaker for me. I understand that you’ve done ‘research,’ but I don’t fall into the category of taking 1.5 hours to complete a chapter. And I definitely don’t fall into the category of getting bored or burned out if chapters are instantly available. Who would? That sounds pretty unbelievable. Having to wait or pay to play is what bores me. When I want to play a game, I want to play a game. I don’t want to play a chapter and then wait hours for the next one. I’ll just exit your game and play a different one. I greatly appreciate free games, and I never complain about ads. If you gave the option of paying upfront for the game in addition to the key system, I’d probably do that. But this feels like a cheap money grab (especially considering that purchases don’t transfer to replay), and your explanation for it feels a bit insulting.
Excellent games, more poor choices
by ,\\'//<//?/_// //3/-\\//_ _\\ on 2020/04/21 05:24
So I totally understand the reason for an app developer to charge money, but this has gone from a completely free set of great escape games, to money money money give us more money. I’d rather pay 2-3$ for (new) games, and just be able to play it like it used to be instead of holding my free stars random in a piggy bank, or since the scenes don’t give but(maybe) one single hidden star now . I am one who paid for ad free, and I still am harassed after each chapter about giving money to developer5$ for 50 stars are you high? PS still an advert asking for $ for stars, considered illegal to falsely claim: pay this to “remove ads” and then try to sell me something constantly after every chapter. Should offer to “remove ads oh well except for haiku games ads for stars you still get those every ten minutes”
What I’ve been searching for
by HeaBat10 on 2020/04/26 00:33
I love games with all sorts of different puzzles. It’s what makes games like Zelda so awesome, the puzzles! And I’ve been bored out of my mind lately, looking for another game that doesn’t just pacify the time, but actually hold my attention. This is exactly what I’ve been searching for. I check often to see if I have new keys, excited to play the next chapter. And the fact that it is free is amazing. I wish there were more games like this one. I do not know what a I will do when I beat all of the different stories. I hope they continue to create more. I’ve even come to see if the producers have created other games for me to download. I can not recommend this game enough.
Fully support the new system
by UsherMocha on 2018/12/31 16:34
Read through some reviews of people disappointed that the developers want to make a living. Not sure if they think indie game developers all live in mansions with a roomful of accountants dreaming up ways to make more money for their yachts but I fully support Haiku in their attempt to create a sustainable business. Five bucks gives you enough keys to finish a game and then some. I pay three times that for a movie that’s over in half the time and is often half as fun. That said, I’d love an opt out for the registration. I don’t play on multiple devices and Haiku already has my email address so I don’t need to be reminded to register after each chapter. Keep up the good work!
Great game- glitch fixed immediately!!
by G1tana_del_Mar on 2019/08/03 18:41
EDIT: Within a few days of writing about the glitch, Haiku immediately took care of it and sent the update. I’m amending my review and want to add that I am very impressed with the immediate response. These games are great, and so is the team behind them! ——————————————- I’ve played and highly enjoyed Haiku games, and Trapmaker is no different. However in Trapmaker 2, I’m stuck in chapter 3 in spite of solving all the puzzles. I’ll get to the point where the next chapter is supposed to begin but it takes me right back to the start of chapter 3. I redid the chapter the first time thinking I pushed a wrong button, but it happened again. I’m so disappointed because I was loving the storyline.
Twice the fun
by Different Destination everyDay on 2019/09/27 13:26
Great pair of games! Interesting characters content and storyline. Longtime player who gobbles the gameplay till complete, then returns when life allows to look for more. I am appreciating being able to resume on different devices, although it made me restart the chapter when I moved from my old iPad to my iPhone XR. It's ok though, kind of fun to efficiently move through after playing a few hours earlier. Is there somewhere the parameters of the key system are explained? It seems to be one generated in three hours, but is that real time? Active playing time? So many generated per day? It is hard to tell based on the one or two when I come back several hours later.
As always... Best escape adventures in the App Store
by Kmoc1972 on 2019/02/11 04:39
I absolutely LOVE these games. All of them. This game included. Love the different format. It’s nice for a change. Puzzles were much more difficult than usual but still enjoyable. I just needed more hints than I normally do. This game was long. And I’m amazed they are still free. Thank you for that. Haiku hasn’t sold out. They don’t get you hooked on their games then make you pay. I will forever be a fan of your amazing work. Thanks again. Can’t wait to play the next one!! Update: Ive now played both games. Can’t wait for Trapmaker 2! Estimated date of release?? I’m a huge fan of your games. You’ll always get 5 stars from. Keep the games coming Haiku! You guys are awesome!
Excellent real escape games
by ChloeAlways on 2020/03/10 07:25
I enjoyed playing all the Haiku Adventure Escape games. They are on different a level of difficulty but all of them are worth playing. They are free to play, not a scam like other games that make you addicted and them ask you for money every time you need to do anything. I gladly pay some money for a good game, because the developers need to live!, but not like every time I need to complete a challenge. Well Haiku games are not like that. Yes, you have to watch some advertisements but not a lot, and you have to wait or pay for keys when you run out of them, just to begin new chapters and is not bad. I'm looking forward to see more games, I love them all.
Best Escape Games by Far
by meggie346444 on 2020/07/03 03:16
Let me start off by staying that I’ve played every single Haiku game over the years and they’re the best designed adventure escape game you’re going to come across. Now on to this “key” issue everyone is complaining about. Have you all lost your minds? The vast majority of “free” games overwhelm you with ads every 15 seconds, have terrible graphics, and boring gameplay. I’m not someone who wants to pay for a game first without knowing if I like it so the Freemium model works best. A chapter takes a minimum of 30 minutes to complete so you get an hour of uninterrupted gameplay before having to wait or if you’re sucked into the game because it’s soooooo good you can actually compensate the developers for their massive efforts. You know like paying for services like you do for every thing else in the world!!! I just played all their Solve It games too and kept buying keys because I felt guilty for all of the years of free play they have given me which has gone light years beyond any other developer. Thank you Haiku Games
Great Stories Despite Changes
by 123$!;&8&'s on 2020/01/21 08:13
Change is always hard but overtime you appreciate it. I actually enjoy the new format! I understand that some players may want to zip through the games as fast as possible, but I can’t imagine how much time it takes Haiku Games to develop these. This new format allows players to appreciate the games more and I welcome it! Each release just gets better and better. I’m a grown adult and still enjoy the stories that each game tries to tell. I appreciate the diverse characters and the wide audience the game reaches. Players are lucky that they get to play such high quality games for free. I rarely write reviews but want to support these games.
So GOOD!
by Vktat on 2019/04/07 16:40
Love love love these games! Just downloaded Trapmaker 2 and I’m only a couple chapters in. The game doesn’t just hand you the answers to everything. You actually have to look a little bit, be observant, and use your brain. The puzzles are new and unique. It’s so refreshing. This developer is getting better with every game release. I will spend money on very few developers to play their games unless I know they are good. I have no hesitation whatsoever buying from Haiku Games. Thank you for all the time and hard work you’ve put into these apps, and for the hours of entertainment you’ve brought to us players/fans. Please keep them comin’, cause we’ll keep on buyin’!
BEST PUZZLE GAMES!!!!
by shutupmisty on 2019/04/16 04:25
I’ve been a huge fan of Haiku Games for at least 2 years now, and I still get excited every time they release a new game. While sometimes the puzzles are a little difficult for me, I love the challenge and I love the stories. Not to mention the fact that the art is absolutely gorgeous. It makes me so happy to see that they’re still creating, and I can only hope that one day they’ll expand and upgrade to more complex games, maybe even for console. I’d happily pay for that! However, I’m quite appreciative of the free mobile games they have available now. I haven’t played this one yet, but I already know it’s five stars. Keep it up, guys!
Great app!
by Mirjealo on 2020/04/27 23:25
I have played a lot of games like this for my pc, but haven’t found any good ones in recent years. Decided to load a new app for my iPad and this popped up. Loaded it and I am quite pleased with it! Love that you can get hints when you are stuck, the story lines are interesting, and most of all, it is just over all fun! Best thing in my opinion is the fact that it is NOT a daily play game. You get a max of 2 chapters that you can save up, and every few hours you can unlock another chapter. So you can play more chapters thru out the day than if it was a certain number of chapters per day. All in all, I’m a very happy customer!
More Character Interaction
by MakAnndCheese on 2019/06/10 14:52
I have loved these escape games for a long time, and they are by far the best on the App Store. They are very intriguing and the puzzles always get your brain going. However, because it is such a good game with very intriguing characters, it’s a little disappointing to see that the story lines for the Kate Grey mysteries don’t include the other characters at times. It would be nice to see Kate interacting with the other characters a bit more, because it almost seems like an inside joke. I, as a reader, feel a little left out on the character backstories when they all seem to know each other within the game. Aside from that one aspect of the game, everything else is fantastic. Great work! 👍🏼
Best free games on the App Store
by SleepySleep17 on 2020/02/23 18:54
These are some of my favorite games! The challenge level is perfect to be stimulating but not frustrating. And the system to keep it free is one of the best out there. It is so annoying when games show 1000 ads every time you want to do anything. Haiku’s system makes it so you only have to watch a few ads - it is not at all intrusive. And there is enough content to make it really great and give hours of play time even as a completely free game. Then there is the option to pay to get more continuous play time, which is not necessary but nice to add. Truly great - I hope they keep producing more games!
Keys need to be fixed!
by fix_the_keys on 2020/01/08 21:03
I am obsessed with the game and love every aspect of the puzzle interactions, however only 2 free keys AND the fact that it takes almost THREE HOURS to receive a new one needs to be modified. I can get through a chapter in 30 minutes, so it takes 6 hours to be able to play for 1 hour, in my case. Either lower the amount of time it takes for keys to reimburse, increase the amount of keys OR allow players to use their stars to buy more keys. I usually do not use a lot of stars for hints, so I have plenty of stars that could allow me to get more chapter keys. All in all it is a great game, which is why I would love to be able to play it more without breaking the bank.
Let’s play a game, Kate
by Dexy Too Sexy on 2020/05/11 17:06
Love this game. I played the pirate game first and it was just ok, but the Trapmaker series is excellent, and The Covenant is great so far too! I’m hooked. Some puzzles are really easy, and in a way it’s satisfying how quickly you solve them, and some are really quite tough. I’ve enjoyed the variety of puzzles so far. I haven’t spent any real money on the game but would be willing to. This game is well worth it. The game looks great and the characters and stories are interesting. Highly recommend to anyone who likes escape rooms and similar activities. Not recommended for people who are impatient or who think they are smarter than they actually are!
Great Games Fair Approach
by Shaedow Fire on 2020/07/04 21:57
I’m a long time adventure and puzzle game fab, but new to AE Mysteries. The games so far have been great - strong story, beautiful graphics, and challenging puzzles. The in-app keys and stars buy the ability to get hints when you’re stuck and unlock new chapters, but normal game play yields enough of both that you can complete the games without spending money. Keys regenerate with time (3 hours) and stars are awarded 3 at the end of chapters (8 per game) and scattered around the game. The chapters are rich enough that I have rarely bumped into the time limit. Hints cost 5 stars maybe more if you need additional hints. You can skip a particularly tough puzzle for 20 or 30 stars, from what I’ve seen. Since I have only occasionally used hints and never skipped a puzzle, I have about 120 stars playing 4 games. Back to the stories and graphics - this is what really make the games worth it. Fun puzzles, lots of people, lots of scenes, time periods, and themes to choose from. Ones of the best puzzle themed adventures out there.
My favorite game creator!
by linsey bae on 2019/08/01 05:43
I love haiku games all of them! They are fun have a great story line and I’m enjoying the levels of trapmaker! They literally get harder every chapter and really makes your brain think! I love to play to challenge myself to think outside the box. The clues are right in front of you but you have to look at it a different way. I have been playing haiku games since their very first game a few years back and have been hooked since. I’m always checking for new game releases and am right on it when they come out. I also enjoy the fact that they are FREE the entire game and don’t make you pay mid game to finish.
Love the games but the 3 hr wait per key is ridiculous
by Crimson_Night on 2019/06/02 01:46
I love Haiku Games because they’re interesting and it’s not a hidden object game. In fact I would say Haiku Games are my favorite mystery games on the App Store. That being said, the wait time for the keys is ridiculous. Before the new update the key wait time was like 2 hrs per key for 2 keys but now it’s 3 hrs per key for 2 keys. I understand that developers are trying to support themselves because these amazingly made games are free for purchase (unless you pay for the stuff in the app) but waiting 3 hours to play one chapter of a game is a bit much. As much as I didn’t like the 2 hr wait from before, I would prefer it to the 3 hour wait we have now.
Love these escape games... Addictive!
by KK Game Girl on 2020/05/15 00:03
These games are so interesting and fun... hours can slip away before you realize it! The quality and diversity of the stories, graphics, and puzzles are above average... amazing you can come up with so many different puzzles and tricks which keeps one interested in continuing to play the different games. I found myself going through the games too quickly (not because they’re easy but because I’m addicted) so I’ve slowed myself down by refusing to use the hints available to me. Please keep making these! I think the Painted World game in particular is a very creative story line.
A great game, but one major issue
by Serenimon02 on 2018/12/30 18:25
I have played all of the Haiku games and have enjoyed them immensely. However, a few of the games suffer from one major issue: there’s no replay option. Most of the games allow you to replay the game with no problem. However, this game and Asylum are the only two that don’t allow players to replay them without deleting and reinstalling them. As other reviewers have said, this is a problem, especially with Cursed Crown due to its choose your own adventure mechanic. I really like these games and can’t wait to play the other two. I know I might be impatient, but I really like the games and want to be able to enjoy them a second time.
Love Kate Grey Mysteries!
by Megan Boyd on 2020/05/30 08:17
This game is genuinely amazing! The stories are compelling and if you really get stuck and don’t have stars you can find a walkthrough on basically all of the games. The only down side is that the keys take 3 hours each to replenish and you can only have 2 free keys at a time. If the key time could be shorter or you are able to stack up on more keys that would be great! Overall a good game that’s kept me entertained during this pandemic along with all of their other games! I personally like the Detective Kate Grey Mystery stories. Please add more new ones as I’m obsessed and have already played them all!
Trapmaker Games
by Granny McSad on 2020/02/08 17:21
I’m enjoying these games but it appears we’re getting cheated with the keys to open chapters. Example: The timer said 2:59 when I used the first key to unlock the first chapter. I played the chapter and when I went to unlock the next chapter with the second key, the timer was down to :40. I used the second key to play the next chapter. When I completed the chapter and needed to unlock the next one, the key timer was reset back to 2:59 and there were no keys. So if the keys reset back to 2 keys every 2 hours and 59 minutes and there was 40 minutes left on the timer when I used the second key, why did I not get 2 more keys after the 40 minutes had passed, instead of the timer being reset back to 2:59 with no keys available? Is it a cheat, a glitch or am I misunderstanding the purpose of the timer?

Picture Perfect isn’t so perfect
by yakkerdss on 2020/10/24 04:13
After the 2nd to the last update, the very last game (hot pursuit)in Picture Perfect will not play correctly. Kate and her partner’s icons don’t show up. I hit go, the timer clicks down, I click everywhere and nothing happens, and then the girl escapes. It worked before the update, I just hadn’t solved it yet. I was so excited when the most current update came so quickly, but it didn’t solve the problem.

More keys
by 1Rose71 on 2020/10/21 02:15
This game is so good but yet so annoying we have to wait every three hours just to get a key to continue playing so that means it gonna take you like three months before you can even play all of the games no one wants to pay for games in these days we watch enough ads so the developers can get paid so why do we have to pay for keys also.Other than that I love you all games I’ve played them all and completing them all except for this this one because of needing keys.
Love!
by Addkdjddnx on 2020/10/21 00:22
I am a huge fan of these games!

Thanks a lot developers Im truly grateful for this amazing game series.🤩

by Kuro_hime on 2020/10/01 05:23
I have been a big fan of Haiku games for years and am really loving the central game hub they have implemented most recently.
Fun!

I get excited when you release a new game. I know I can count on a quality game with puzzles that require some thinking but don’t require some obscure solution. Thank you to the developers for providing these awesome games.

If you like Haiku, you’ll love this app!

by SoBelle on 2020/09/18 20:48
I need more Painted Worlds!!
Great app!!!

by Dwalktx on 2020/09/16 17:21
Since I discovered this game in an ad, I’ve been absolutely enthralled. The only thing I would recommended is a little more direction on some of the puzzles. I still am not sure how I solved 1 or 2.

Awesome!!!!!!!👌
by Lorraemunyon on 2020/08/19 22:31
I just love this game! I have played these for about 2months now to give a accurate review. Well the stories are intriguing and the puzzles really are just common sense oriented. Hey I’m still avidly playing and I’m one that normally gets bored and deletes games after about a month. Great job AE keep it up.
Entertaining
by anfletcher on 2020/08/19 01:12
I love this game.
Fun so far
by CDMbro on 2020/08/16 22:04
I just started playing yesterday but I’ve been hooked.

Not wanting to work
dumb keys
by Crazy4Penguinz77 on 2020/08/05 08:39
this game is fun and engaging but having to wait 4-5 hours to reload all keys so you can play again is dumb like i understand having a timer but i would like it for it to be shorter time to wait or if you were to keep the 2 hour wait time, then when that timer is done you should give the person 3 keys back to play, otherwise people are going to get frustrated
Super fun and challenging!
by CSS TJH on 2020/08/04 15:25
These escape games teach some great problem solving skills. The puzzles are fun and varied! I look forward to using some of my new skills in a real life escape room! 10/10 would recommend to a friend!
You rock!
Great game
by NCButterfly17 on 2019/01/26 20:34
I love mystery games & puzzles!
