Latest version buggy
by WTPhug on 2019/04/25 01:18
This is a five star game. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it. However, this is the second time I have regretted updating the game. This 1.27 version has broken MFI controller support, and the support was only partial to begin with. It really ruins playing the game. Disappointed. I hope there’s a fix coming any second now.
One of the best framing games out
by I'd 4 on 2019/04/24 20:46
This game is truly a master piece. To anyone that is a harvest moon fan, you will find this game very statisfying. It has all the features that you can wish for and gives you control on how to design your farm the way that you like it. I own this game for IOS and android. The only thing i would like to ask the developers is that they can add more customize controls. For example if we are able to use an external controller that would help a lot. i notice that some of the vitrual controls can be buggy at times and would like to see the addition of either external controller support or a feature to add buttons with customize hot links. An example would be to able to create a button that will allow you to switch tools very quickly instead of relying on touch controls. Either way, Hands down this game is still one of my favorite games to play.
Great game shotty port
by Jdjgahctha on 2019/04/24 19:55
I love playing Stardew Valley, but this port of the game is apt to crash whenever entering the museum and adventurers guild. Essentially corrupting your save data for that day, which can feel frustrating.
Great game! Until....
by Charlitos S. on 2019/04/24 06:56
I had high hopes for this port and it exceeded my expectations. The reason for the one star is because I was finally getting some traction in the game and a good amount of time playing and the game crashes while I was fishing. I wasn’t able to play the app after that. I kept trying to reopen the app but my whole phone screen would go white and just go back to my home screen. I ended up just deleting the app and re-downloading it in the hopes of this not happening again. FWI...if you delete the game from the phone...you delete all your progress 😵...CONCERNED APE PLEASE FIX THIS!
Amazing
by Marlon_2910 on 2019/04/24 00:12
This is the best mobile game I have ever played.
Almost Best Game Ever
by Nobody121 on 2019/04/23 22:25
I love everything about this game except that the bugs are really annoying and sometimes I can’t wake up so I keep saving forever. Also It keeps crashing. Fix these problems and it will be 5 stars.
Love the game but it crashes a lot
by north kacalaca on 2019/04/23 21:11
Love this game sooooooo much the only bad thing about it is it crashes a lot so if they fix that it is a completely amazing game!
Massive game. Fishing is impossible though.
by TeD2D on 2019/04/23 02:40
This game is much bigger than I had expected. It’s pretty relaxing and is completely open. Completely worth the $8 since there’s no in-app purchases and it’s updated almost every two weeks. The only MAJOR drawbacks: 1. (Minus 1 star) Fishing sometimes is near impossible. The tapping to keep the fish in the green while it jumps up/down quickly is frustrating and random, and requires dumb luck rather than skill. It should be redesigned. It may work on a PC but not on mobile. Developers please consider this. I’m not the only one with this issue, just look at the reviews. 2. Earning money initially takes forever because the character just falls asleep when you finally get an opportunity to earn. It should 1) not fall asleep or 2) don’t penalize with a high fine wiping out all nominal earnings. That “initial grind” is just too steep and takes forever It does get a little easier after year 1. But the first year is tough. 3. Request! Please local LAN multiplayer. Other than that, solid old Harvest Moon/Old Animal Crossing vibe to this. Great game! Even if some of the villagers stories are a bit dark.
Needs multi-player support
by VinceBarter on 2019/04/23 02:14
Lovely game but this app really needs to have multi-player support. It's 2019...
MFi Controller Issue
by Retro-Classic-Rover on 2019/04/23 01:01
Okay, this game keeps getting updated, which is great. However, MFi controller support is getting worse. Previously, I was able to exit menus using the Y button. Now, nothing. I have to physically touch the screen to close it. Also, placing/collecting items diagonally up is useless with a controller. I can’t believe this is still an ongoing issue... 😒
Moving on
by Clams Maloney on 2019/04/22 19:05
I loved this game, even with all the game breaking bugs Chucklefish has shipped. But removing the ability to copy save files to another device (via the Files app) has ruined it for me. I can't transfer my save from my phone to my new iPad, which has left me not even wanting to play any more, as I don't want to start a new game just because I got a new device. This amounts to nothing less than a terrible user experience. So, I'm done. Time to cut my losses and move on to another game.
Fantastic game but fishing is impossible
by hnbanana on 2019/04/22 16:49
I have spent dozens of hours on this game since I downloaded it a couple weeks ago, it's truly great!!! I can open it up intending to only play a little bit, and then look up 4 hours later not knowing where the time went. The only change I ask is that the developers improve the fishing controls! I didn't mind not being able to fish at the beginning, but now that I'm trying to finish up the bundles, not being able to fish has really held me back.
Multiplayer?
by restartqueen on 2019/04/22 16:44
So why do the other Stardew Valley have multiplier but not Mobile so when will multiplayer be added to Stardew Valley. Please come I can’t wait any longer please comment on this so please just tell me
Awesome game!!!
by Knight mail on 2019/04/22 15:50
I absolutely love this game. Lots of things to do and very addicting!😀 I love how you can personalize your avatar! No in app purchases either so ya only pay once! Great game! My new fave! Not liking how tiny the toolbar is now😑
Chinese Please !!!
by AkiraAkimoto on 2019/04/22 14:41
Please add Chinese support! I mean, the pc version is already translated. What are the difficulties when it comes to the iOS version?
Fantastic gameplay
by Brony6000 on 2019/04/22 01:18
I don’t think I’ve ever spent this many hours playing a game. There’s just so much do to, it never gets old. I struggled at first, but once you learn how to manage your time and figure out how to make money it gets a lot more fun
Kitty lover 6565
by kittyloverjojs on 2019/04/21 23:48
Fantastic but gets boring after you play it a while . And I think it’s weird you can eat flowers and wild mushrooms. And wish you could change your profile after you set it. P.S has some glitches
This games cool
by Epicjoeyjety on 2019/04/21 19:11
But the only problem is the controls they get kinda difficult for me to play with
Amazing game
by 1jdien-9 on 2019/04/21 14:35
I downloaded this game a few days ago and I’ve been loving it since. I always wanted the PC version but don’t like playing games like this on pc since I don’t use it as much, so this game being on the phone is so handy for me. If you play animal crossing this game has a very similar concept, but looks different and gives you more creativity and more things to do in terms of farming. Instead of being forced to play every day and one day lasting a whole day the game uses a different concept. The day starts when you play and you can play as many days as you’d like in a sitting. Days only last around 20 mins so its not very time consuming. Stores are open at select hours and there are many activities limited to time too. Every season consists of 28 days and there are certain things that you can grow/ do in each season. It’s not as easy as animal crossing, though. Fishing is very challenging, it takes way more planning out because you can run out of energy and most plants will die when the season chances, becoming friends with the others isn’t easy either. Overall I think this is a better version of animal crossing and think that it’s worth the 8$
Okay this game is amazing but...
by Chicken_Nugget3 on 2019/04/21 13:07
I’m literally obsessed with this game but every time I try to enter the library/museum, it lags a lot and my character starts to move really slowly.
Expensive
by Autumn2611 on 2019/04/21 02:36
The game’s good and all but very pricey. Maybe lower the price a pit. It’s ok if you don’t. Some kids want to get it but they can’t afford it.
Yeet.
by Avery AKA Ava on 2019/04/21 02:15
I love this game I'm married to Sam and have two children, Alex(girl) Conner(boy) and a cat named belle and a horse named Geode and four chickens, French fries, Spot, Snow White, and (my favorite) Oat Meal! There's so much to do, always a task to complete, never disappointed. Worth the money!
Fun, Relaxing, Addictive
by Danky740 on 2019/04/21 01:56
If you like games, buy this game.
Lovely~
by Audibt on 2019/04/21 01:00
I have never loved a game as much as I love this one! The stories, the friendships and the activities are so amazing I can’t stop playing! I do have some tiny suggestions though but not too many. I would love it if my character could have the same outfits as the npcs during the flower dance and also a wedding outfit? Oh and the kissing animation when your character is a girl is really strange looking... Tiny things but they’re important to me! Thank you for reading and it’s alright if you don’t end up changing anything, I’ll always love this game! -Bella
Really great game
by criner on 2019/04/21 00:50
I love this game hours upon hours of gameplay and Lots of things too do
Missing multiplayer option.
by Jamie Maloney on 2019/04/21 00:40
This game would be 10x better with the added multiplayer mode that every other version of this game has on the other platforms. It’s really missing a major part of the fun for me without it. Other than that huge void this is a great port.
It’s such a great game but keeps crashing
by jimbo jimothy on 2019/04/20 15:59
I love the game but it keeps crashing! They need to fix this I can’t progress through the game because it keeps crashing all the time. And why can’t I play this game on the same save on all my devices? I’d like to play from iphone to iPad on the same save. You should expect that from a premium game like this
Waiting for the next version
by selyzz on 2019/04/20 15:48
One of the best games ever, mix of crafting, farming, adventure, and social.
It’s boring

I’m obsessed
by jellhay on 2019/04/20 13:39
This game is super fun, addicting, and very calming. Everytime I free time this is the first game I go on and I find that time flies, this game is gorgeous and has such great storylines, while realigning customizable. I’m. In. Love.
Unplayable, please help
by Teala7 on 2019/04/20 04:05
I can’t get through the game intro because it keeps crashing. Please fix this, a friend recommended and I want to play. I just feel cheated, I have never bought a mobile game before and I took the plunge for the price of a whole combo meal at a fast food place and it was a waste.
Pretty bada$$
by Frank Alvie on 2019/04/20 03:11
This game is 2 legit 2 quit. I played, got hooked, got mad, quit, got back in and now I’m in year 2. Weird flex but ok.
Best farming game ever!
by giant rudy on 2019/04/19 23:27
You should put more like hunting
It keeps crashing :(
by cdegraaf on 2019/04/19 17:40
I really really love this game, I have it on steam and recently found that it was on the App Store so I bought it. So I was playing the game and it was all fun and great then I got to the egg festival. After the time ran out for the egg hunt thing the game crashed and so I swiped it out and tried opening it again but it crashed again. So I tried restarting my phone and turning it on and off and it’s still crashing. Idk what to do now, help plz.
Awesome game But...
by pomeloFan389 on 2019/04/19 17:10
Ok I adore stardew valley but there is one thing I want you to add multiplayer. I want multiplayer because it will make me feel more connected with my friends and family and also if possible add voice chat or something like that so if people are far away we can still talk to each other so please add it other wise it’s a awesome game.
Please change the controls
by penelope :-) on 2019/04/19 17:09
I love the game sm just the controls are a bit annoying. If there was a joystick that would make everything better.
I love Stardew Valley but...
by mumps_ on 2019/04/19 15:04
First of let me say this game is one of the best I have ever played just not on iPhone. I bought this game on almost all my steam accounts because I liked it so much. It’s just on iPhone that the game is bad. Mostly because of the controls. I have to move my entire hand just to move my player and on a iPhone X the Hot-bar is bad. It does not look like that big of a deal but you will see what I mean if you buy it. But if you don’t care about things like that and never played this game it is still a good choice. I don’t regret buying this game on the iPhone.
Like my childhood... only I can’t play it
by Jenna Jellybean on 2019/04/19 07:34
I love games like this (used to play something similar on the Nintendo!) and I’m so happy there’s now a game for the iPhone, unfortunately it’s a bit tricky to play while worrying about it suddenly quitting down and losing all your progress for that day, also I’ve only just now gotten to the Easter egg hunt and it’s quit down 4 times already... I can’t play anymore because of this, I haven’t been able to find a way around it. Very disappointing since I would love to keep playing :(
Please reply, marnie bug?
by viabug17 on 2019/04/19 03:34
Hello! I love this game and I was wondering if the creator was ever going to put multiplayer on mobile?? It would be so much fun! Anyway I have been giving marnie two quartz every single week and she has stayed at one heart. Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Fix text box bug in character creator!
by -First King!- on 2019/04/18 16:46
The game is fine but character creating is not very good. It crashes whenever I try to type in the text box.
This is one of the BEST GAMES I’ve played
by JSE =#1 on 2019/04/18 02:06
It is so fun and full of story. While there are bugs, it doesn’t hinder the game enough to make it impossible to even play. I would recommend this game if you like games that are slightly difficult and have a good story
Please fix!!
by Tiger shorty on 2019/04/16 23:42
Having a lot of problems with it not saving and losing all my progress! It would be an enjoyable game if not for this issue. Will change my rating when this is fixed.
Awesome game but a few mistakes
by Ssundee Fan #1 on 2019/04/16 12:35
I love this game and it is so much fun. But there are a few things I would change. One, I like to use the joystick but I also like the auto attack feature. It would be awesome if there could be a joystick with auto attack.
I love this game!

by Hextechnology on 2019/04/15 18:30
Fishing is awful with the touchpad. I can’t figure it out at all and it’s getting so frustrating that I tried to skip that part of the game entirely.
Really great game until it crashes
by KarateDadJr on 2019/04/15 02:34
With latest updates I’ve had my game crash during various events. Specifically cutscenes, events, and mini-games. Please fix this, the game is amazing otherwise
Great! But have a couple suggestions
by Bard-of-Hyrule on 2019/04/14 20:57
I absolutely love this game. It’s that kinda game where you can either relax and play, or think logically about how to work with things in the game. However I do have a few suggestions. I wish they did more with the children the players can have, like have them grow past the toddler stage, have them help around the farm, that kind of thing. I can stand with not having multiplayer for mobile, but it would have been cool. But I still think there are things that could be added to enhance the game. Thanks you
Omg!

I LVE THIS GAMEEEEEEEEEEEE NO ADS OLNY.... FUN GET THIS GAME I LOVEEE ITTTTTTTT
Multiplayer
by matplayz99 on 2019/04/14 02:09
Stardew valley is fun but I think it would be more fun if they added multiplayer to the game. Sometimes I play for a hour or two then I get bored because I’m not playing with my friends, so if you are reading this please add multiplayer.
Please fix this!
by skdldldlcllflf on 2019/04/13 23:57
Truly amazing game! However, on the new iPhone XR, the controls are a little bit messed up. I would love it if you could fix this so that I can get back to playing as usual!
What A Great Game!
by Daniel in the Lions Den on 2019/04/13 12:50
The game is definitely worth your time and although it takes some effort it is something that you will have a great time playing and enjoying!
Yes!!
by Updated 😡 on 2019/04/13 12:37
Great game! There is ALWAYS something to do. Weather you want to fish, mine, or farm this game has it all. There are also special quest and crafting. ZERO in app purchases! Best of all, you can progress through the game without being stuck behind a paywall.
Multiplayer maybe?
by CorgiLoverGirl on 2019/04/13 11:47
I love this game, and have no problems in game, but I was wondering if or when multiplayer would come out for pocket edition. I would really like to play with my friends on this game. It’s a amazing game overall all it can do from now is improve (which I’m hoping it will)
So much fun
by Jdeeizzle3 on 2019/04/13 04:55
I have been playing for hours nonstop. Day and night. There’s so much to do and many mystery’s, quests, adventures, plants, experience to gain. Love this game. Upgrades to get! It’s a must get game if you like role playing games and farming with fighting monsters and getting married.

Terrific port, some issues
by D16378 on 2019/04/12 00:43
I updated the app on April 10, 2019, and the game was basically unplayable immediately after the update. I couldn't interact with objects or navigate properly. After some fiddling with the new settings, I was able to get it back to a playable state. ---------------- Terrific port of a terrific game. There are a few issues with the controls that I hope get worked out soon. The auto-select feature for tools sometimes gets it wrong. For example, it's auto-selected the pickaxe or axe when I've manually-selected and been trying to use the watering can, resulting in some destroyed crops. But these are comparatively minor issues, and overall, I'm pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the port. --------- I'm pleasantly surprised by how quickly my initial issues were fixed. For example, I haven't accidentally destroyed any more crops because of auto select since the last update. Now, my only issue is that it crashes sometimes when I try to take a staircase in the mines. The app just quits.
Good but hard
by meanybeany on 2019/04/11 21:11
I love this game but I think is too hard to upgrade your house which you need to start a family
This game deserves more than 5 stars
by Musolinni on 2019/04/11 17:28
I never ever write reviews but omg I love this game. The graphics are beautiful, the sounds are amazing, the story is perfect. I really love it. To the point when without any suggestion from the game I decided to write a review. My only recommendation is: I would love to be able to transfer my account to other devices, I play on my iPad but I can’t play the same account on my cellphone... but that’s a minor thing. I love this game.

Amazing, but room for improvement.

Dear Concerned Ape, I love every aspect of this game, that said I use the steel series nimbus, and I love it; However, It does not have 100 percent Support. I can you It for everything but the menus. Please Upgrade from partial controller support to Full controller support, and please make the steel series nimbus one of the fully supported controllers. One other thing, I really want multiplayer support like on the other versions of the game such as pc, and the switch. But really Props to you, a single person on making such a masterpiece. Impossible Fishing
by Lahaye666 on 2019/04/09 07:20
I am obsessed with this game. It involves all my wants and desires. But I never fish because it is impossible to do it. I wish it had an Easier fishing. Maybe can toggle it on and off in options, like auto combat.

Poor game that keeps calling me a male
by Jetakai on 2019/04/09 02:16
Grandson, son, etc. extremely poor tutorial. Thought it would be cool to fish and grow but fishing is impossible. Every tap or hold shoots the bobber past the fish. Never caught one. Nothing grew though I watered each day. People say hi but they are almost all women or girls, no men which explains all the references to “son”. Not happy about all the high reviews to waste 8 bucks.
Heart system is broken
by russiansybiria on 2019/04/08 19:19
Hi, I love the game, but with the recent update the heart system does not increase at all, either for birthdays or secret Santa- it just stays the same level for all the villagers I’ve been giving gifts to for a whole season twice a week. Please fix.

Hooked me on hours and hours on end, and there’s still a ton for me to do. If you like a peaceful game where you own a farm, mine, have a pet, fishing, or simply just get married, then this game is definitely for you. Absolutely one of the best games on the platform. Pros: •Nice music •Nice story •Addicting gameplay •Decent controls, could be better but they’re usable. I didn’t mind at all. Cons: •Starts off a little slow since you need to wait a few days for the crops but surprisingly it’s still tons of fun. •The controls could be better And that’s it, there aren’t many cons to me, and the existing cons aren’t game breaking at all, so what are you waiting for? Have fun :)
Best game ever

I love the game it worked perfectly and bug are fixed the only sad part is that I wish it was multiplayer
One of my favorite all time games.
by moira_fae11 on 2019/04/07 21:03
The iOS version has its little quirks, but it’s an excellent port of one of my fave games of all time. I own Stardew for the PC as well, I have over 300 hrs banked between 4 game saves, and now I can take it on the go! Getting used to the tap controls takes a moment, and sometimes when fishing it can be slightly wonky, but other than that, I think it’s great. The option to auto attack with my sword around mobs is brilliant - I wish we had that option in the PC version! Everything else feels just fine, and I can’t think of anything I would change. If you haven’t tried Stardew, there’s a little something for everyone, casual or not, and especially if you like any of the Harvest Moon/Song of Seasons/Rune Factory games, or even games like Animal Crossing or sim games. If you’re already a fan of Stardew, you’ll not be disappointed. It’s worth the money!
Love love love!
by gingernip626 on 2019/04/07 18:58
I’ve played this game on PC, and I have to say mobile is a more satisfying experience for me. The auto tool switch and auto combat is perfect. I adore the lack of in app purchases and adds, amazing value for less than $10! I do have a problem when I try to put quartz in the furnace, it gives me an iron bar instead of refined quartz. Bug or had the recipe changed?
Great game! One flaw..
by Arran1977 on 2019/04/07 17:09
I absolutely love this game, it’s awesome, but I would really like it to have multiplayer for mobile, thank you! And again, it’s still an amazing game, but add that and it would be perfect!

Constant crashes
by cavechilde on 2019/04/06 19:40
The game, when working, is fantastic. But the iOS version has been crashing constantly, resulting in lost game progress. For months. Over multiple app updates. On modern hardware (XR). And customer support is unresponsive. Do not buy on this platform.
Needs some work
by IAMSODONEWITHSNAPCHAT on 2019/04/06 19:17
I honestly love this game but it needs a bit work. First, fishing is extremely difficult with the mechanics and no matter how hard I try I feel like the actions are a bit delayed. Also, auto save does not work and crashes often sending me back to the beginning of the day
Beautiful in every way
by Jazzy_Dimension on 2019/04/06 15:38
The game is magnificent in every way, no doubt about that.Sometimes if I’ve had a bad day just play Stardew Valley. It helps relax and ease your mind even if it’s just a video game to some people, but a blessing to others. Thank you so much for creating a wonderful, artistic, game!

XR screen bug
by ProtoRed on 2019/04/06 06:02
Game = awesome Screen bug doesn’t allow me to select any of my tools cause there all being hidden by the top of the phone(Besil. Srry wring spelling) I constantly have to swap my phone around just to select the tools or to do just about anything that has to do with the side of the screen. Not sure if this is a problem being worked on or not but I hope it gets solved.

I’ve been really enjoying this game, but with the recent update, my game has shutdown every timeI have attempted to complete the Egg Hunt event. I’d really appreciate it if this bug could be fixed.

BEST INDIE GAME but with a few mechanic issues
by Jem1966 on 2019/04/06 01:42
Having one of my favorite sandbox games on mobile is a dream come true. And unlike other mobile adaptations, this has all the features of the original game. However, some controls are very hard. For example, I can’t even get past the first level of the Prairie King arcade game.
Fantastic
by ENLVA on 2019/04/05 22:45
I love this game. It is so fun and relaxing. Absolutely worth the money. I had an issue with the game crashing, but my progress actually did turn out to be saved when I loaded the game the next day. I have added the fifth star due to this discovery! I do wish the NPC dialogue was more varied and we had more opportunities to choose what you say to them (have conversations) a la Fallout. Spouses could also be more helpful around the house and that sort of thing. It isn’t anything that I feel detracts from the game but is more of a wishlist to flesh it out.
I love this game, minor changes needed for best experience
by Tessa Fox on 2018/10/29 05:01
I do adore this game, I have played it on my friends switch for hours on end after them went to bed and even when they were awake. When I herd it was coming to mobile I was stoked, I immediately preordered and the moment it was out I was downloading. I began to play and noticed differences in controls, when I started playing there were three things I would change. Not having to switch between tools, it was in the right place it’s a wonderful mechanic, until your trying to water your crops and you accidentally use your pickaxe and destroy it. Smaller screen, once again in the right place a smaller screen smaller window right? As someone who likes to see more especially with such vast spaces like the woods a bigger area that you can see is preferred, if there were perhaps an option to scale this in any way that would be perfect. Some things take more time, compared to the switch at least. One of the things I loved about the switch was just being able to throw things into the deposit box. When I noticed this ability had been removed I was saddened partly due to inside jokes but mainly because it saved time being able to run by and throw things was easier then having to open a menu and select from there. Anyway those are just three small things I would be so happy if were changed but these things wouldn’t keep me from this game ever. It’s such a fun and immersive game that just steals your attention, it’s fantastic.
Almost perfect.
by alargent82 on 2018/12/22 06:20
I love that the game is available for mobile now. There are a few things that bug me though. The auto attack feature needs some work. When I play on my pc or ps4 I never die in the mines but in this version I die every time!!! I even have the galaxy sword and hammer and I use foods to give me more luck or defense. The controls are a bit cumbersome. The menu is on the left so my hand is always blocking the screen. And I’m frantically trying to switch between items before I get attacked suddenly and die again. I like that as long as my tools are in my inventory they will work automatically. Except for my weapons!!! I’ll place a bomb and I’m trying to run away and switch back to my hammer or eat something really quickly. I tried using the menu on the bottom. I liked it better but it is really flawed. When I’m in the mines trying to equip my weapon I wind up moving the menu spaces. Sometimes it will move so much that the weapon is no longer in the screen. It’s becoming really frustrating. I’ve tried the joystick controls but I’m constantly hitting other things. I just can’t get the hang of it. Aside from those few things I love it! I understand how controls can be really tricky since it’s on a phone but maybe make a few adjustments to the bad guys in the mine. It takes so many hits to kill bad guys in the skull cavern. And so few to die. Even with the iridium band and the slime band. Sorry for my rambles. It probably doesn’t make much sense. Haha!
I love this game.
by Jmeisternixon on 2019/01/08 13:40
It is sooooo easy to lose hours playing this. I have lost countless hours in this game and I have no regrets. I really like the fact that this game is not a paid to win model and I like that proportionately the price is very good considering it’s an iOS game but yet it is a full pledge game. So with all of that being said I gave the game five stars because with every review that I’ve done with every update every issue that has been addressed has pretty much been solved with every issue and so I not only give five stars to the game but also five stars to the developer who listens to review feedback and customer support. Of course I feel that with any port of a game that either started off on consoles or a platform with mechanical controls I always feel that the controls can be better but I also don’t know how to solve it so I am not going to complain too much. However if there is one thing that I can ask is that I think the inventory system needs to be reworked. A suggestion for that would be instead of the scrolling feature that we currently have to scroll through all of our inventory while we’re playing the game, Instead perhaps have a drag and slide from the left side out option so that we have full access to our inventory. Regardless of that I have absolutely no issues with this game that would allow me to give it any less than five stars.
Great, still some bugs
by JenniPoP on 2018/10/31 13:41
I’ve got the played this game for a while on my Mac and love it. Moving it to iOS is amazing, as I rarely have time to sit down with my computer and play, so getting a day or two in here and there in between real life is GREAT! However, there’s still a few bugs. The Spring Easter Egg hunt was a bust, it wouldn’t let me collect any eggs! I saw them everywhere, but I couldn’t click on them or walk through them, they just stayed. The controls take a little getting used to, and battling in the mines isn’t very user friendly with the controls. It definitely doesn’t work like a point and click on the computer. I’m glad they’ve added the ability to aim your cast when fishing, as sometimes the bubbles appear on a diagonal from any standing point with no way to reach them! Hopefully this helps. I am happy to see this game mirrors the full version in every way (so far), as I’ve been a huge fan for ages! There hasn’t been any real games like this for iOS so I’m ecstatic! Please just fix the Easter Egg Hunts, and make the battle controls a little more accurate! Auto-fighting is terrible, you can’t back away because you get hit, however slime balls just do constant damage while you auto swing at the wrong time. Manual isn’t much better, as it seems to have a lag, unlike the point and click of the Mac version.
Awesome, but Flawed
by _Tenpura_ on 2018/10/26 22:02
Don’t get me wrong, I love this game! I have hundreds of hours on the Steam version and I was so hyped for a mobile version coming out. I like how they didn’t produce a washed down version of Stardew Valley and kept it fundamentally the same. But, the controls need to be updated. It’s tapping and holding down to move and use your items. This creates a weird combination of the two especially when you’re fighting in the mines. Your hand is blocking your view of your energy and health bar when you want to mine something, fight, or move somewhere. The slimes are attacking you and it’s hard to fight back given the current controls. The auto fighting option doesn’t help whatsoever. It seems to make it even worse, in my opinion. I suggest adding joystick or buttons of some kind like in RPGs for moving and using items. If the developers don’t like the idea of having that as the automatic controls, there should at least be an option for it. Maybe it’s an iPad thing, but the fishing mini game is so small. It takes up less than half of my screen and is hard to manage. Even the tutorial for the fishing was difficult because of that. I’m sure after a new update comes, all will be fixed and I can’t wait for that. I’ll also change my review to reflect what it is currently. I hope this helps somewhat and if anyone is actually reading this, thank you for your time.
Amazing Game, Fantastic Port, But Not Perfect.
by CosineGod on 2018/10/24 07:57
I don’t think I’ve ever played a game as captivating as Stardew Valley. It is a game I can sink hours into the gameplay cycle, yet it fails to get repetitive. As a long time fan of Stardew Valley, I’ve always thought it would make a fantastic iOS game. That finally came to fruition today with the official App Store debut. The game looks especially gorgeous on the iPhone XS’s display. After spending two hours with the game already, there is little to complain about. Though the automatic tool switching truly makes this port a dream, it’s a completely different control scheme. I did not find it immediately intuitive, and I am still trying to adjust to it making a lot of unintended moves. I would like to see this potentially optimized as one of my biggest gripes is that the ‘drag and follow’ control for movement can get tedious when switching between screens or just simply navigating around. Either adding an alternative control scheme or further optimizing the existing one would fix this. The game is equally as great as ever, and my complaints about the game are far too minimal to deter me from playing the game. I cannot wait to dive further into this game once more, and I would highly encourage everyone else to do so.
Great on the go version of the game!
by Dulalumim on 2018/11/15 17:17
I love Stardew Valley and have played way too many hours on both the PC and Switch versions. When I heard it was coming to iPhone I was over the moon. Because of the transfer to touchscreen, expect major control changes. For example, you can now choose to autoattack in the caves which works but still could use some tweaking. Some changes actually make the game easier to play such as the auto navigation feature when you click somewhere you want to go around an obstacle and the auto switch to the correct tool when you are chopping trees or cutting grass. One annoying thing about the game is the lack of autosave meaning if you put the game down for too long it will shut down and make you restart the day. But looks like a new update just came out which fixed this problem so we’ll see how that goes. Overall, if you’re a fan of the original game this is a great miniature, on the go version that will keep you entertained for hours on end. It’s still going through some control changes and hopefully will be a smoother experience in the future. Hopefully they will be able to bring the new beta changes with multiplayer support in the future!
Amazing game

Overall I think this is a better version of animal crossing and think that it’s worth the 8$
Masterpiece game with one big problem
by Jutesbootii on 2018/10/29 13:28
I’ve played the heck out of the PC version of the game and was ecstatic that I can now play it on my phone whenever and wherever. However, the mobile version has one major flaw: the controls. The control system is a kind of “point-and-click” system where you tap a grid-square not only to move, but to do an action as well. This control system is OK when it comes to building and farming, but mining and the skull cavern are a different story. I wish I had a nicer way to put it, but the point-and-click controls completely ruin the game once you hit the mines. The mines are essential in progressing in the game, but with the controls as they are now, it is EXTREMELY difficult and frustrating to go spelunking. Killing mobs takes ages with both auto attack and manual attack. Auto attack constantly spams mobs out of range and manual attacking takes a long time to maneuver and attack without getting hit. Moving around is just way too difficult to do with current controls. It is clunky and annoying to use. In my opinion, the controls ruin the rest of the game. Adding a joystick or something of the sort will definitely improve the experience, but right now, all you can efficiently do is maintenance of save files you’ve moved over from your PC.
Amazing game

Stardew Valley is one of the greats and put a lot of time in the game on Xbox but now I can play the new 1.3 update since it came with the game for mobile which is awesome and surprising :). The only downfall of the game though is that even though the game is so fun and amazing the game is still kinda small like you can still get hundreds of hours into the game but to do everything doesn’t take long at all so putting hundreds of hours into the game is honestly a waste of time because once you do it all then you Should be done like ya you can load your farm up with expensive items but there’s not much of that in all honesty. I love the game so much but there needs to be so much content of items in the game because this game is perfect for that and it’s meant for a ton of items since it’s a grindy game obviously. Anyways the game gets a 5 stars because it truly is amazing but I thought I’d give an honest review on what the game really does need since I’ve played the game for so long that it would be dumb for me to leave a review like it’s my first time playing lol. I just love content in games that have lots of it and Stardew Valley does have enough of it but needs so much more
Amazing, thoughtful, intriguing.
by 0ver.1t on 2018/12/06 00:23
I love this game. The three words that come to mind are amazing, thoughtful, and intriguing. This game is so well thought out. I originally wanted to get this on my Xbox one, but since this one released and was cheaper I thought I’d give it a shot here. Since the release I have nonstop played this game at home, and on the go. There’s just so much you can do it and it so packed with detail. There’s quests, friendships, farming, mining. It’s just so many fun and familiar games jammed packed into one awesome pixel experience! People have often described it as a mix of games like Minecraft, harvest moon, animal crossing, and more. If you buy this game please take the time to play and know that your first year in the game can be a bit boring! But once you get up there, it is an amazing time. There’s so much to do, and this game will have you absolutely addicted and pulled in. I’ve spent so much time on this, creating my lovely virtual world that I am so proud of. ConcernedApe, you are an amazing creator. And I cannot wait to see future content. The only bad thing personally is how difficult fishing is. I’m hoping that will be a tad bit easier when I get the console version next week.
AMAZING!

I’ve always wanted to play Stardew Valley, but never had a platform that could support it. So when I heard there was an app, I scrounged up $8 to get it as soon as it came out. This game is absolutely everything I’ve ever wanted. I love the control setup, and I enjoy the tap or drag to walk. It’s been easy to advance in the game, and I’m already in the fall, with plenty of upgrades, One things I’ve been having issues with is what I’d like to call the “glitch disease”, because it continues to spread. The library/museum was the first victim. When I go inside, everything is super slow and characters glitch across the rooms and text pops up in chunks instead of flowing smoothly, so I can’t put any artifacts in there because of the glitches. Then, sadly, the clinic became the next victim. It gets annoying when I’m trying to give Harvey gifts, and I have to glitch my way behind the counter. Then my most recent victim is the carpenter’s shop/Robin and Demitrius’s home. I tried to get some upgrades and buildings and it took 2x the time. Besides this “disease”, this game is absolutely amazing and I don’t think I’ll ever quit playing it!
Great game but stabilization needed!
by Ablooblooblah on 2018/11/09 17:49
I had Stardew Valley for my PC and absolutely loved it! I played it way too much and it was/is one of my favorite games so when I saw it was coming out for the iPhone, I freaked a little bit. Don’t get me wrong, I am IN LOVE with this game on a mobile platform. It really is good to play while I’m waiting for a doctor’s appointment or in between my classes and then be able to quickly close it and then come back later! This is one of those games that is amazing for phones, because sometimes I just want to play for 10 or 15mins at a time. However, it does need some stabilization improvements. Perhaps it’s just where I am currently, but the last 3 times I’ve gone into the cave to do spelunking, the game has crashed. It wouldn’t be that annoying but I lost about 20 floors of progress the first time and about 10 the second and third time. At this point, it’s just annoying more than anything else. Even then, I still love this game and would EASILY give it 5 stars if not for the game crashing hiccups. This game is amazing on the iPhone in every way, shape, and form. If you’re on the fence on whether to get it or not, I would highly recommend it!
Love this game but a few problems
by someone whos tired on 2018/11/07 22:36
I love Stardew Valley and I was super excited for this port!! It controls super nicely for the most part but there are a few areas where it’s lacking. 1. When using the water can, you press and hold so it can water more spaces. It’s really hard to position your character so it waters the right spaces. I found that using it actually wasted time instead of saving it, which doesn’t happen on pc. For the most part this seems like something that can only be remedied by a joystick type control. 2. The sleeping to save works well on pc because when you sit down to play, you know your gonna be playing for a while and saving isn’t a big deal. But on mobile..... it works.... poorly... I never know when I’m gonna get a phone call or have to leave the app to text someone and loose all my progress for that day or I’m in public and something else needs my attention. This game desperately needs a save button. It just makes it frustrating when you leave the app for a moment and everything’s gone! Overall this port is great. The good definitely outweighs the bad. I’m excited to see the changes that come in the future!
About 3 hours after a new bug was introduced it was fixed
by Me1172 on 2018/12/09 23:39
UPDATE: the planting is fixed, I love everything and find combat and fishing a bit annoying but more of a new challenge then anything else. So I love this game on Xbox and pc but the mobile version still needs some work. I was planting seeds and farming happily until the summer season started and then suddenly none of the seeds (I was trying to plant melons and peppers) would plant... it isn’t me I don’t think because I could plant until the start of summer and I have played so many times on other devices and never had this problem but I hope it’ll be fixed soon. (The game was also updated to fix a different bug in between when it was working and when it wasn’t, so that may be a part of it.) aside from this fishing is challenging but I’m sure I just need to get used to it and the arcade games and combat need a bit of tweaking because the controls are annoying. I know that’s a lot of criticism but overall is still find myself playing for frequently because it’s just such a wonderful game!!! Keep it up guys🙂
Controls
by Sparky7536 on 2018/10/24 20:02
The game is perfect for mobile... almost. Everything else I really enjoy about the game, however; I would really wish if you could add an analog stick/joystick option in the settings. Moving my character around I do prefer an analog stick, the controls for moving your character around seem a bit stiff in my opinion, an analog stick or joystick would be mostly appreciated for this game. I play on an ipad air 2 and the game runs really great, its just the fact of having to move my finger around the ipad gets a bit annoying at times. My suggestion would be to just add an option in settings to switch between touch and a joystick, and maybe a button on screen to realize an action (alternative for tapping). The game is really great, all that really needs some fixing in my opinion is the controls. Please I hope you read and consider my review, game would be perfect with just these minor tweaks. I understand it just came out, with updates oncoming in the near future, but please consider an option to choose between play style. “Thank You” for reading and continue the great work!
Good stuff mostly
by 24hrtow on 2018/10/29 05:47
This game is great! A few things though...fishing is crazy hard with the iPad controls and...MY CAT KEEPS GETTING IN MY WAY SO I CANT REACH THE BED! It’s super annoying to rush to bed at midnight to find that I made it it in time but TOO BAD I can’t get to my bed. Can we wake them up or move them or maybe the hallways doesn’t have to be so narrow!?!? Please? It seems random where they sleep and maybe I’m just unlucky...but...it’s lame... also...after deciding to restart the day after this (while distracted watching tv) i managed to delete me save. I accept that this is my fault for not paying enough attention and clicking through screens too quickly out of habit instead of reading but...maybe...you could make the junk button be smaller? Not on the exact right where right handed people will of course touch?...idk...dumb on my part for being distracted while loading it I guess but since it’s a mobile game I’d like expect some distraction and maybe you can make deleting a game a little harder 🤦🏻‍♀️. I’ll start over in a month or so when It doesn’t feel so much like back tracking I guess...
HUGE HEARTBREAKING BUG!!! (Concerned Ape Please read!!!!!
by Soccer 24/7!!! on 2018/12/09 02:07
So, here’s the thing. I really love Stardew Valley. I was overjoyed when I had found the Xbox version at GameStop last year, and I was in complete shock when I found out it was coming about on mobile. (And I, of course, bought that too 😆) but there is a huge problem that I just found with the most recent update. (The one that fixes the green slime issue.) I can’t interact with ANY NPC. EVER. I’ve tried restarting the day but this heartbreaking bug is still here!!! I don’t know what to do anymore. If I tap on an NPC (lets take Evelyn for example) I just go up to her, and my character just violently glitches in her spot. I don’t know how to fix this, and NPC-interacting is such a huge core of this game!! I don’t know if anyone is struggling with this glitch as well, or it will correct itself if I have my character go to bed and sleep it off, but I had made so much progress in my save file!! I really don’t want to have to delete it!!! Concerned Ape, if you are reading, please help me!! Thank you for your time.
We need more like this on iOS
by idontknow1029934 on 2019/03/16 07:08
I never played this game (somehow) in desktop platforms and picked it up when it was released on iOS because I felt like I was living under a rock for having not played it and because I always like to see better quality titles getting released on iPad specifically. I’m only a couple of hours in but it’s a very solid port; the game’s controls mostly work pretty well with a touch screen interface (tap to move/select/interact with) and, like the Baldur’s Gate ports, are a good example of how RPG and strategy games are excellent candidates for phones and especially tablets. There are some occasional annoyances, but nothing major. And it’s a fantastic game in its own right if you’ve been waiting for a great crafting/farming/town building game on the platform. Other devs need to take note and start bringing better games (especially indie titles and strategy games and RPGs that tend to have touchscreen friendly user interfaces) to iOS. I’m sick of the AppStore getting bloated with ad/pay to win model supported trashware.
This is a great game!
by Jacuzzi 538 on 2019/03/16 17:40
I love this game, I played it on pc but I actually prefer it on mobile because they did such a great job of giving us the same game. The auto attack can be a bit buggy, but overall it’s a lifesaver because playing on my iPhone 7plus is still a bit hard to hit specifics sometimes. You can accidentally destroy plants if you aren’t paying attention, but all you have to do is pay attention and it isn’t a problem. My only qualm with the game so far had been very recent, an apple tech that was bad at thier job apparently, erased my entire phone. I was well in to year 3 and lost it all, which is not the developers fault at all. Although I wish there was a way to backup to somewhere off my phone so I could have just picked up at my last save or could switch to my tablet or something without starting over. They had a crashing error after the most recent update, and it was fixed with 24 hours! I am very impressed with the way they listen to customers!
Such a great game!
by BlueYoureMyBoy on 2018/10/24 16:07
Let me start by saying I own Stardew Valley on Xbox, Switch, and no mobile. This game is simply amazing on all platforms. I would highly recommend this game if you are at all interested. One thing I would like to see added with a future update would be basic controls using a dpad and an action button. The touch to move has gotten a little easier to use, but I find myself touching things to the side of what I meant to and sometimes wasting energy I didn’t want to. I have an especially hard time checking the TV in the morning. The first touch works for the weather channel, the. I try and touch the TV again to check the fortune but it won’t allow me to unless I move my character to the opposite side of the TV. Nothing major, just something I would like to see as an option for people, like me, who would rather have a virtual dpad on the screen with an action button. Great job by The Secret Police on the mobile version and of course to the creator Eric Barone for this amazing game

The iOS version of this title is something that many users—myself included—have anticipated for years. It is an indie darling that has experienced success on almost every major platform due to the tireless efforts of a one-man development team and dedicated publisher who have worked to ensure quality at every turn. I purchased and gifted several copies of Stardew Valley to folks who can now experience the joy of simple pleasures and pursuits whether they find themselves. It is a transformative and, at times, magical experience that somehow manages to not only pull together but also improve upon the best aspects of the genre. My hope is that the dev and publisher have success addressing community issues while navigating the troubled waters of iOS development, including Apple’s ever-changing software and hardware requirements. Thus far, at least, the UI adaptations and refinements have met or exceeded my every expectation. This is one of those titles that—when done well, as is the case here—can elevate an entire platform.
LOVE this game...BUT
by Chrysno on 2018/11/17 02:00
I absolutely love this game. I first started playing on switch and it was a great game but eh on a system like that. I was crazy hype when I saw this game on mobile..genius! I do see an update happened recent that changed how you combat. Now there’s sections where you use your fingers to move the player and two sections on the right side of the screen for hitting...I absolutely hate the combat, it was better when it automatic. The movements are way to sensitive and you find yourself losing your health way to quick over finicky controls. Another concern is how there soooo much to do and sooo much to craft that you literally have to google ways to make stuff to make stuff to make more stuff with no layout as to how and where to obtain materials needed. Other than this I really don’t have much else to complain...one more thing tho, I always try to stop playing after an entire day has passed to save my progress. However I find myself repeating the last day played more often recent. Hope this gets fixed to. Overall I’m super happy with this game and have been playing it almost everyday.
Great game, replayable, regular updates, a bit glitchy
by LlamaScarf on 2018/11/19 04:03
I want to start with my criticism. The game doesn’t auto save like it did at first. My game crashed and it didn’t auto save. I have the option checked, it auto saves sometimes, but it didn’t work on the last crash. I had a very story packed day with about 5 different cut scenes from earning hearts and the game crashed when I tried to get on my horse.... I’m so discouraged to go through that again... I will because I enjoy the game, but please fix! Now my main review. This game has the potential for you to replay the main story over and over, or dig your roots deep into one game and play it for many in-game years. There are many routes you can take to success. You can create your own storyline in a sense depending on who you befriend. There’s no “win condition,” you simply play, and complete the parts of the game you want to. There’s many ways to make money and some small decisions along the way that can help you do this. I don’t normally buy apps but this one was really worth it for me.
good!!! but...
by Kkkjjjjgfswrvhnkopfwwrcbkdeyh on 2019/01/02 17:24
okay so i've never played this game on pc or console so i can't comment as to how it compares. i like this game. i'm a little bit addicted right now. it's like minecraft mixed with animal crossing and it's great. i love the aesthetics i love the people i love the variety of activities and landscapes. the town your character lives in is kinda small but it feels a lot bigger because there's a lot to do in each part of it. my ONE qualm and ONE request is that fishing is entirely too hard and needs to be made easier. maybe it's easy for some people but personally i have no idea what i'm doing or how to be successful when fishing in this game. i've heard it's easier on pc which is understandable but also my dudes there really needs to be some kind of fishing system that works better on mobile. i gotta fill up those fishing bundles bro!!! other than that i love the game, i'm so happy i bought it, i've already spent a good amount of time avoiding reality on it!! it's a very cute fun game that just feels good to play. fix the fishing system and it'll be perfect.
Great port with some MFI and multiplayer issues.
by Tytan87 on 2019/01/15 02:38
This is a pretty great, complete port, but there a couple things that leave me wanting. 1. No multiplayer, especially in a mobile port of this game, is a little disappointing. You can play it on the go, so why not with another person? 2. MFI support is there, but incomplete and even, at times, unintuitive or broken. It does not truly support analog control, and many features of the UI, like menus, were not ported in a functional manner. Most menus must be navigated via touch. Eat something in your inventory? Select and use it the same way you do on PC or consoles, but you can only confirm the pop up menu with a press of the screen. Also, all menus are enterable or cancelable with a controller but cannot be positionally navigated via the controller. The L1 and R1 buttons, which should cycle through larger swaths of your inventory, only cycle your view of it one item at a time, redundant to the selection triggers. Would love an update that uses the full MFI functionality or makes the controller mappable!
AMAZING! But one thing...
by Relick-Dawnblade-Warlock on 2018/10/27 20:42
So tons of my friend were telling me tk get this game and I’ve been loving it ever since I got into the game Starbound made by also by Chucklefish. I Pre-ordered it and kept checking it every day very anxious to play it. Then the day it came out I jumped right into the game. And simply: it’s amazing! The lore, the content and story there’s sooooo much to do. But there’s just one thing... the movement controls. Don’t get me wrong it’s not horrible, just strange. Tap to go where you want or drag. This gets a bit weird at times, I’ll be holding my finger down to walk forward somewhere and I can’t see my character, so at times I’ll run into things and it’s a bit hard to navigate. My suggestion is just add the option to use a D-pad/joystick to move around. This would be so much better and that’s literally the only reason why I didn’t rate it 5 stars. This game is truly amazing, a new favorite, just please at some kind of joystick to move around. 9/10 would recommend. 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Just please add a new movement method.
Fantastic Game That Needs Better QA
by Goblinkatie on 2018/12/10 13:18
The game itself is incredible, a phenomenal port of the computer game. Yes, fishing is tricky, but once you suffer through catching trash in your farm lake and catching carp in the sewers for a couple levels it becomes much easier. My only real complaint about the game is that it seems like there is little to no Quality Assurance being carried out on updates before they go live. Most recently it appears that the placement of the player character in his/her environment is incorrect which has caused several features of the game (fishing, farming, interacting with NPCs) to fail. This should have been an obvious issue had the developers taken any time to check the playability of the update before submitting it to the Apple Store. I understand the need for a fast turnaround, but the priority of speed over quality is having a tremendously negative impact on the game. UPDATE: They patched the latest issue within 36 hours. Their turnaround time is great, just wish it wasn’t necessary. Raising my review to 4 stars.
YESSSSS!!!!
by Pooh51O on 2018/11/03 21:29
I’m a strictly a COMPUTER gamer as my boyfriend takes over the TV with his PlayStation. I don’t mind though, I play games like The Sims which is more detailed on a computer compared to other platforms. That being said I feel in love with Stardew Valley when it first released. The whole game from the way you can customize everything to the characters is amazing and worth the price on any platform. I’d play this on my computer everyday so imagine when I seen this in the App Store coming soon section. So far it has some bugs to it but it’s the same game I know and love. I never tried the multiplayer feature so I’m not missing it. I was able to transfer my save files which was easy. I will say some features were forgotten like if you have fruit trees in your greenhouse some won’t let you collect the fruit I’m guessing because of the way I have them setup. I also can’t decorate walls in my sheds. Little bugs I’m sure will be updated.
Great game but a “little” issue.
by Simply Scuptios on 2018/10/25 07:39
I have hundreds of hours clocked on the steam version of this game, and plan on spending many more in this one, but there’s an issue that really affects the way I like to play. Fishing is very poorly optimized. To start, I am playing on an iPad 2018 and the fishing bar is extremely tiny. It looks like the PC version plopped in and downsized, and I’m sure that’s all it really is. The second part of fishing that makes it fairly annoying is casting. This becomes more of a general complaint with the game, but I think that there needs to be some sort of use button. In order to cast the fishing rod, you have to tap directly on the water in front of the character, and even then your character might glitch and walk around before casting. Every part of the game played fairly smoothly until I cast a line into the ocean. Edit: after play testing the game on my iPhone SE, it became apparent that the fishing bar simply doesn’t scale with screen size. Probably more of a bug than a poor port.
So much better than other mobile games
by ChewyBentley on 2019/03/17 16:10
I had played this before on the PlayStation, and loved it but never really had time to play. I play more mobile games than anything because of the convenience of having them with me wherever I go. Most mobile games are pay to win, or have ridiculous ads, but with this one for a small price you can play Stardew Valley indefinitely. Everything from the music, the storylines, and playability are all amazing. Depending on your mood you can spend a in-game day piddling around, or spend the day trying a new challenge. Even after you technically beat the game, there is so much more to do and really up to you to what you make of it. This game has long-term playability, and a great community of players on social media channels if you like to be social with your games. The Stardew Valley wiki is also very helpful. Overall, a really great game and something you can play for years if you want to!
Fantastic and Addicting
by JoelTheRater on 2018/11/05 01:53
*** EDIT - So I’ve noticed a few bugs here and there, the main one being that I can’t place crab pots in the water? I bought three and I’m unable to place any of them in the water. Also, the combat is a bit broken and the auto attack feature gets buggy at times (coming from 20+ hrs of gameplay) I got this game after it came out because I heard a lot of great things about Stardew, and I’m not disappointed. All the mechanics from the other versions are smoothly implemented into this port, and the controls are a lot better than I could have imagined. Everything is intuitive, and I’m sure for all the old Stardew players, this will be a fantastic portable edition. I have over 10 hours so far, and I hope to play this game for much more to come. The only problems I have are the fishing mechanics (trying to accurately cast line) and watering multiple plants at a time. Other than that, this game is outstanding!
I love this game but…
by Simsimtab on 2019/01/10 02:12
I am addicted this game. I have spent quite a few hours playing and I just can’t seem to let it go. It is hard at first but with time and effort you can make a lot of money. It has things that make me want to play until the end of time. Except there are things that get pretty annoying. Like I upgraded my house and before the upgrade I placed a decor in-front of where the stairs were, I tried everything to move it, and the old tv that I didn’t put there, but they wouldn’t budge. Also fishing is too hard, the fish for the bundle at the community center is mostly fish from the traveling merchant. Finally as a detail the game makers put this area above the farm that blocks some places from my sight. Also I would love a scale for the game so that I can see further and not have a limited view. I really really hope that the developers fix these problems soon cause it’s really really annoying to point that I’m done playing the game for a while.
Please help me.
by Just another kid. on 2018/11/15 22:22
I love this game and have been waiting for the joystick option to come out ever since release. But it doesn’t work for me, I’m right handed and prefer to use the joystick with my right hand while playing. But the game simply won’t let me. I used the option to personalize the joystick layout and put the joystick on the right side, but even after confirming these settings dozens of times over and over I have concluded with the same results. The game forces the joystick to the left side of the screen, I’ve disliked the tap controls for a while and do not want to use them again if optional. I don’t know what’s causing this issue, but it isn’t me. Please fix my problem. Sorry if I’ve come off as a robot, I’m not used to writing reviews. All I know is that this is one of my favorite games, and I hate to find it difficult to play for me and some other people with the same problem. Thank you. :)
Fantastic Port from Console and PC
by GreenDay2017 on 2018/10/28 22:35
Stardew Valley on mobile is nearly as good as on console and PC with a few minor issues. First, combat is tricky because with auto attack on, sometimes your character doesn't know where to aim, and with auto attack off, the game doesn't always know if you want to attack or move. Second, moving around and using tools is easy most of the time and difficult other times. I like to drag my finger to where I want my player to go but he frequently gets stuck and it takes too long to move him. Other times, I'm cutting grass and breaking rocks and wood, but when I try to cut the weeds he doesn't do anything. I think both of these problems could potentially be solved if there were to be an update that made a circle pad for movement and buttons for mapping tools added to the game. However, this is still a stellar port of an amazing game and I recommend those who haven't played Stardew Valley before to buy this version of the game.
Great game, but...
by JUST ACCEPT A NAME on 2018/10/28 14:56
I love Stardew Valley, and I was extremely excited to hear that it was coming to mobile. It’s great that it’s not some lame port with only a portion of the game, and that the developers really put their all into this. But my problems are Controls and Multiplayer. First off, the controls. They’re too stiff in my opinion, and it’s really weird when you have to reach over half the screen just to do something, and with this, you could accidentally waste unnecessary energy. If the devs could add an analog stick or a d-pad, and maybe an action button, that would definitely solve the problem. Second, Multiplayer. It’s great in single player, but I would like to play with my friends on mobile, with local or possibly online play. Don’t get me wrong, single player is great, but this game has the potential to have multiplayer as well. I hope the devs see this and take these issues into account.
Great game with flaws.
by Teslaaaaaaa on 2019/01/11 14:57
This game is a great game to play and get lost in. But for $7, I would expect fishing to be a lot less difficult. The only fish that was easy to catch was the one in the short and quick tutorial. Everything else is hard to catch no matter how close you are to getting it. Fishing needs to be revamped or made easier. My game often crashes and my progress is of course lost to the wind. Which gets frustrating because I’m trying to retrace my steps. It would be nice to have access from my iPad to pick up where I left off and have a bigger screen to play on. But this ability has not happened yet I believe. For this price, or even lower, other games have integration across devices while this one does not. There also needs to be auto save or an obvious “Save Progress” button so that when the app does crash, at least I can pick up where I left off. For these reasons, I can only give three stars. I look forward to these issues being solved in the future.
I LOVE IT!

So I’ve known about Stardew Valley when Gamecubes were still around 😅. From the moment I popped that tiny disc into my GameCube system I fell in love. Years after that it had long been forgotten with the Wii coming out and the PSP. Good times... Anyway, I recently bought the game on XBOX One last year, but haven’t been able to play it anymore. But this port is AMAZING! When I found out that there was going to be a Stardew Valley game on IOS I IMMEDIATELY pre ordered it! And I have not regretted it since (even though a full day hasn’t passed since it’s been released). The controls are AMAZING! Yeah, the whole touching-certain-spots-to-move can be tiresome, but I’d rather do that then having that makeshift analog stick taking up the screen. The graphics are GREAT! Everything is just about the same from when I last played. I can say a whole lot more, but I’d rather be playing Stardew Valley now. Great job to who ever created this! 👍🏽
Amazing Job

So a few months ago a I brought this game in a Steam sale just like any normal person right? And just like any normal person I ended up dropping the game after a few weeks in favor of another game. Fastforward a few months I saw that my friend was playing this game. So i thought why not get it again maybe it’ll be even better on mobile? Boy was I right, this game is heaven when you are bored. Honestly i’ve enjoyed this game so much more now that i have it mobile. It’s like it was always meant to be a mobile game. The game itself is so relaxing (except the mines) that you will always be able to pull it out and bust out another day wherever you are. It’s also so addictive that you’ll find yourself starting another day before you even know it. Each day is like 15 minutes and it’ll be gone before you know it. What else is there so say but you can farm, raise animals, fish, mine, and grow relationships. The fishing is just hard to not be too frustrating but challenging. The farming is where it’s at that’s where you earn the most money. The relationship is also very fun as you simply give gifts to a certain someone and get married there is also very good dialogue. Just please get the game! You won’t be disappointed. Pro tip: In the early game, spend all your money on turnips you will obtain money extremely fast that way.
Amazing Game
by Stardew Valley Player on 2018/11/21 03:03
I absolutely love this game! I’ve never played it on other platforms, though I’ve watched other people play it. I was super excited finding out it was on mobile because it’s the only platform I have access to. I have a few suggestions for making the gameplay better. Firstly, make an option to zoom out, as the screen sometimes feels small. Second, I’ve seen people playing Stardew Valley multiplayer and that seems like a lot of fun. I’d love to have a multiplayer option for my gameplay. Lastly, the save is a little confusing. After the most recent update it sometimes is able to save partway through the day but sometimes it makes me start the whole day over. I don’t really have a suggestion on how it could be fixed but it might be something to look into. Overall I’m having lots of fun playing this game. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Bug
by SomeOneSpicy on 2019/01/06 19:36
I love this port of the game, but it has a minor issue. I play on the button layout that has a joystick and 2 buttons, and it works great! But the only problem with it is that I can't move furniture, I can somewhat move things like the rug but I can't place it where I want it to be placed. (And sometimes it would be placed in a random spot). If I want to move furniture / any placable items, I would have to change the control scheme, then change it back. Please fix the issue pls :D Also it would be nice if you could move the "buy" button higher up. Whenever I talk to Pierre I have to click the screen, and once the menu pops up my thumb is in the exact place for buying certain items, when I release y thumb it buys the item when I didn't want it to. So I ended up spending money on something that I don't want. I would like it if you could raise the buying button higher so I would Stop buying things I don't want. Thanks!

This would have been 4 or 5 stars, it’s just that the names aren’t long enough, when I was naming my horse, it missed the last letter, and that was all I could think about and every time I went to my player card and saw its misspelled name I felt deeply unsatisfied, lost all motivation to play, and ended up deleting my save. My OCD won’t shut up about it. I can’t sell the horse. I can’t get rid of the horse. God, please make it so players can change their pets’ names, or at least be able to sell their horses. You’d think that would be an option, no? The players on PC and Mac have to resort to actual coding to change their horses’ names, whereas PS and Xbox players are on the same boat as me. So. Yikes. Please change that. Edit: Please... put the fishing bar back to normal again. Moving it to the other side for no reason and making it that big and clunky and pixely looks lazy and just makes it harder to fish... Not to mention the “perfect!” text at the top goes off the screen. Looks very unprofessional. Makes me cringe.
Needs iCloud Sync!
by TK Dennis on 2018/11/25 19:09
Honesty, the developer has expertly solved almost every problem I had with this game at launch. It is an amazing game that feels a bit like animal crossing, but with more adventure RPG elements. It is a very fun game, and well worth $20 or $30, let alone the low price the developer charges. I love playing on iPad with my MFI controller, but I also want to take it on the go with my iPhone XS Max. Sadly, you cannot sync games between devices. iCloud sync would make this a perfect five star experience for me. That being said, great job taking an incredible desktop classic that I would have never got around to, and bringing it to iOS where it is accessible for us fringe gamers who don’t get to game on a Mac or PC anymore. It has been a delightful experience, and I’m sure anyone else would agree. (P.S. The game is deep! Don’t be fooled by the world map size. There is so much stuff crammed into every nook and cranny, with a lot to master, battle, explore, and collect.)
I love it! A few suggestions for fun though
by just a person wit' an opinion on 2019/02/18 02:59
So when I saw Stardew Valley on Pre-Order, I was hyped and and couldn’t wait to get it. I played and thoroughly enjoyed it, and still do to this day. So, I have a few suggestions for all platforms?.. like a new thing or two that could be added to Switch, PC, and of course, mobile. So during the winter season, you could add something like a temperature meter that could lower to show that your character is getting too cold and could be kept up by wearing hats and jackets and/or sweaters that your character can wear, just like hats, but with more purpose than just cosmetics. Or you could just add jackets and sweaters and stuff that could become available maybe during the fall/winter seasons of the first year and serve the same current purpose as hats. Anyways, I really love the game and I think it’d be cool if you added something like this!
I’ve waited for this FOREVER!
by LPSFox500 on 2018/10/30 00:29
I’ve wanted Stardew Valley for a while now, but never had the time to purchase it on my computer. When this came out, I was literally ready to scream. This game has been everything I wanted, even if it’s a mobile game. I can imagine it being more compatible with computers, but when the company pulled out this mobile game, I was very grateful. It saved me the money and time, and even if it’s not what I thought and the controls are a bit harder then I expected, I’m in love with this game. If you ever want to spend some money on a new game, definitely try this. It’s everything you want in a farming game, with a little extra to make it even more enjoyable l. You may think the graphics aren’t very good, but they fit the game so well you’ll take back everything you’ve said about this game. I’ve never spent money so well, and I’m so happy with my purchase.
Awesome game!!! Great on IOS but....
by Topgun.1 on 2019/01/06 08:42
This game is absolutely fantastic on iOS! Thought it would turn out to be a clunky, micro-transaction infested mobile app but was pleasantly surprised by its parallel to the pc and switch version (both of which I play and own). It could however, do with some updated controls such as adding left-handed controls(as being left-handed makes fishing waaayyy too hard). I do like the click to move and super accurate tap to farm/water/collect. It makes the game a lot more enjoyable. I also love how you don’t have to constantly switch between tools (can just tap and it auto switches). Overall, this is an awesome representation of the game and recommend getting it for its replayability and endless hours of fun! If anyone is still on the fence about buying this game, it puts $20+ mobile games to shame. Definitely a buy you will not regret!
Great Port!
by fairyk8lyn on 2018/11/07 16:24
I love Stardew Valley. I (a little too impatiently) waited for its release on pc and the same goes for mobile. Playing on the iPhone, most of it has been great. The touch controls are easy enough to get used to and besides that it’s the same great game I love. I spent ages playing on PC (even making my own cosmetic mods) and I was ecstatic to play on mobile. Nothing beats playing a day or two while waiting. There’s a few problems I’ve encountered. The biggest being combat. It ranges from annoying to impossible. I use auto attack, which means my character automatically swings her sword whenever an enemy is too close, but sometimes she faces *away* from them. I’m not sure how to fix the combat, but the farther I get, the more irritating it is. The only other thing I find an issue with is fence gates. it would be so much easier if they automatically closed behind you. Aside from those things, this is a great port of an amazing game.
Really Fun Game, Some bugs
by Elijah T. G, on 2019/02/09 22:51
Stardew Valley has almost instantly become one of my favorite games, I have spent tons of time playing this game and I am really hoping they add multiplayer to the mobile version. Even though the game is fun it has some bugs. I have had some crashing problems of my game crashing and loosing 3 days of progress even though it is suppose to save every night, I also had an issue of when I put 5 crab pots on the beach on the last day of the night market, and they disappeared the next day. I am very upset this happened as I had spent a lot of resources to get them. This bug has not caused me to want to stop playing the game but after I am very annoyed. My only request is that this issue be looked at and fixed so it does not happen to anyone else. Other than those two, I would definitely recommend buying this game.

It’s boring

by jellhay on 2019/04/20 13:39
This game is super fun, addicting, and very calming.

Thanks you
Omg!

Multiplayer
by matplayz99 on 2019/04/14 02:09
Stardew valley is fun but I think it would be more fun if they added multiplayer to the game.

This game deserves more than 5 stars
by Musolinni on 2019/04/11 17:28
I never ever write reviews but omg I love this game. The graphics are beautiful, the sounds are amazing, the story is perfect. I really love it. To the point when without any suggestion from the game I decided to write a review. My only recommendation is: I would love to be able to transfer my account to other devices, I play on my iPad but I can’t play the same account on my cellphone... but that’s a minor thing. I love this game.

Please fix.

This game is a MUST!
by Thepumpkindude on 2019/04/07 23:17
Hooked me on hours and hours on end, and there’s still a ton for me to do.

Overall I think this is a better version of animal crossing and think that it’s worth the 8$
Masterpiece game with one big problem
by Jutesbootii on 2018/10/29 13:28
I’ve played the heck out of the PC version of the game and was ecstatic that I can now play it on my phone whenever and wherever.

XS Max, iOS 12.x
