Love it but need some updates and cloud save feature.
by DeepBlueOcean84 on 2019/02/16 04:25
I’d like there to be cloud saves so that I can play it from my iPad to iPhone without having to start all over. Once I upgrade my iPhone I don’t want to start the game all anew. Also some new features like some added locations, characters, events, pets have a bigger role and make the community center a place that more characters use. They are wasting my time not hanging out there. Also get rid of the a JOJo mart that’s no longer active. That being said thanks for a great game to play during the winter on the iOS!
I love this game
by Barclay312 on 2019/02/16 02:21
I love this game so much Alex’s backstory makes me sad.
Not mobile friendly
by Zynski on 2019/02/14 18:28
The port to mobile was a cool idea but between the controls (which make the game very frustrating to move and complete tasks) and small screen (constantly choosing wrong item on inventory & can only see a very small area) makes this game very difficult and annoying to play. Get it on another platform, mobile is DEFINITELY not good for this game. I’d get a refund if I could...
BEST GAME, having issues with Mobile
by Blondeii on 2019/02/14 16:36
This is the best game hands down. I play it on my console all the time and when I found out it was on mobile I was so excited to play. However, after getting the new iPhone (xs max) whenever I try to play Stardew valley the screen is so big that my inventory is blocked by the camera and whenever the npc’s talk to me part of the text is blocked because of the screen. I noticed on YouTube that the screen will adapt to the new phone, but it hasn’t for me? Am I doing something wrong?
Super fun but...
by Puzzle2me on 2019/02/14 12:54
On ipad, the fishing is next to impossible. Tutorial is very small, no explanation for things that become important. Otherwise having a great time. Time moves a bit too quickly. I have hard time going to shops and getting farming or mining done. Please update for mobile. Then i would give it 5 stars. Do you hate cats? Every time i try to pet my cat a weapon suddenly appears. Did not select a weapon. Angry. Really need to make fishing a lot easier for ipad users! Mining is way too dark even at level 30. I have my display screen on full light but cannot see any ladders.
Great game
by Hotguy303 on 2019/02/14 00:45
It is soo much like the pc and Xbox versions, except for the fact that there is no multiplayer, hope they can add that soon. This game is great to just play for hours on end and there are new things everywhere
Crashes

Always lags and crashes during festivals. Also mini games are hard to control most of the time.
Freeze on end of day saving
by Denrae- on 2019/02/13 21:01
I really enjoy this game but I keep getting a freeze when trying to go to sleep and it gets stuck on the saving screen. Have to close app and lose an entire days worth of work. Frustrating and making the game unplayable. Please fix!
Addictive!! Minor glitches.
by Kari21631 on 2019/02/13 20:33
First let me say - this game is well worth the money. Don’t think twice, just buy and try. The art is fantastic. The music is something you can listen to repeatedly and never tire of. The game is very cheerful, but not childish. Characters are endearing and realistic. Animals are cute, but not cartoonish. Whether you like exploring, following the storyline, questing, fighting monsters, fishing, farming, or grinding for cash - there is something for everyone. I’m a Stardew Valley fan girl through and through - and the iPhone version DID NOT disappoint! I was amazed at how well they pulled this off. It’s outstanding. Check out DangerouslyFunny’s youtube vid about the iPhone version for a great review of the controls. The only issue I’ve encountered is that my game doesn’t save properly. It’s minor. The game runs fine while I’m playing it, and it will save fine from one day to the next if I have the app open. However, when I’m done playing and I end the day, wait for it to save, wait for the next day to load just to be sure, and exit the game for the evening - if I come back to the game later, all of my outdoor slimes will be gone. They are perfectly enclosed and provided with water, and they last so long as I’m actively playing the game. When I stop playing for about 12 hours or so, and I come back, 4-5 slimes will have vanished without any notifications. I’ve also noticed that something seems funky about my kegs - they appear to produce products, even when they shouldn’t have been able to yet. Also, none of my animals are able to develop hearts. I cuddle them every day, and they all have auto feed buildings, but their hearts consistently remain at 0. I think something is messed up with how the app is storing data on my phone - but it doesn’t interfere with my gameplay. I hope someone can look into it! Other than that small issue - everything else about the game is 100% functional, and out of this world fun!
Stuck on saving screen
by LilTrumepter on 2019/02/13 20:12
Love this game, but every few days, after I finish a day, it’ll be stuck on saving and not load at all until I have to close the app and start the day over
Multiplayer
by matplayz99 on 2019/02/13 05:05
Stardew valley is fun but I think it would be more fun if the6 added multiplayer to the game. Sometimes I play for a hour or two then I get bored because I’m not playing with my friends, so if you are reading this please add multiplayer.
Not ready for mobile
by twalte on 2019/02/12 22:32
Lots of game-stopping bugs, like a complete inability to place buildings. The UI is also not designed for the notch on iPhone X/S/R or mobile generally. Everything was just shrunk down to fit onto a small screen, rather then be designed for the small screen. Makes it difficult to read and use.
Please update...
by hannahmbananaa on 2019/02/12 22:28
It really needs an update. I hope it’s not being abandoned already?? Please add more options like snow transparency and more importantly an option to zoom out like on pc!
5 star game; 1 star for fishing controls
by JackJones on 2019/02/12 18:17
Love the game. I play it as much as I can. Unfortunately I’ve had to basically quit the fishing part of the game. The controls are just ridiculously frustrating. Seriously, I’ve never been more angry playing a game than trying to catch fish in this game. I hope that part of the game can be made a little more fun someday 😔
A true Stardew experience
by ETHREAL1 on 2019/02/12 11:16
Love that this is on mobile and that you can save at anytime, it’s great when you can play say when waiting at the doctors office and when they call you back you just lock the phone. With that said there are two things that in my opinion must be changed 1. Duel joystick controls for combat left for movement right would be just like it is when you have attack joystick on 2. The ability to change where the toolbar is, I would prefer having the toolbar either on the right or top but never the left side, the thing that keeps happening (killed me once) if you use the joystick and you move left and release it can often change what’s equipped and even use it, i once accidentally selected and used a cherry bomb and got killed from it... It would also be nice if you can adjust the screen zoom but that super minor
App crashes
by Paradise_761 on 2019/02/12 09:05
Lately the whole app just crashes and completely resets a complete days worth of farming/foraging !
Great but one glitch
by liz 5259 on 2019/02/12 00:14
It’s just a normal day and my avatar is walking around town and every thing just freezes other then that this is one of my favorite games it really lets you go on a virtual adventure every day of your life with easy controls and again I LOVE ❤️ this game
Love this port, but so many crashes!!
by sashimigirl on 2019/02/11 15:55
I fell in love with the Switch version and was so happy to see this game ported to iOS. They’ve added some new festivals and items, and I am mostly aok with the controls (auto tool select and auto battle). Really my only issue is the frequent crashes that then force me to restart a day, especially when they happen near the end of the day, argh. The crashes seem to most often happen when the screen transitions to a festival. Fix this and it would be perfect! Also, re fishing: it’s got a big learning curve even in the original game until you get the better fishing rods and tackle.
Gorgeous game, multiplayer?
by Jo25429 on 2019/02/11 03:15
This is one of my absolute favorite games, it never gets old. I grew up with Harvest moon games and may play one on an old console every-once in a while. This game is immersive, and adorable. Exciting and beautiful. The stories you hear are amazing and the simple, laid back style is perfect. I have heard about multiplayer on other platforms and I was just wondering if it was ever gonna come for IOS? Again, wonderful game, highly suggest.
Don’t even hesitate...
by Evilsisi on 2019/02/11 03:06
This is game is amazing. The amount of time and effort the developer put into this game is stunning. I have have tons of hours on it on my pc and pre ordered it as soon as possible on mobile. This game is so fun and although there are a few difficulties on mobile such as mining(I believe this to be because it’s on such a small screen) it’s still an amazing game.

Fun but issues
by andy_has_no_idea on 2019/02/10 21:58
It’s a fun game. But it’s a pain in the butt if your animal decides to sit in front of the door or the bed so you can waste a bunch of money being treated by the doctor. Kinda BS if you ask me. This game is fun, but now two nights in a row I can’t get to the bed or even inside the door because of my pet. $1200 down the drain. Thanks

Amazing game, but...
by spydglzto on 2019/02/10 19:35
Stardew Valley is one of my favorite games. Everything about it is great. There is just one really annoying bug that when the day ends, it starts to save, but it never stops. It just stays on the saving screen and never goes off unless you reload the game!! Then you have to start the whole day over again!! Please fix this!!!
Glitch
by Logan Pauls Legit GF on 2019/02/10 17:24
I’m at ten hearts with penny Shane and Alex, but have not been given the opportunity to trigger the ten heart events. For instance, I have gotten no letters from Alex, or penny, etc. I’m on year two, and I have been waiting since fall of year one. Is it a glitch, or did I do something wrong? Thanks for the great game!
BORING
by Boogie bus on 2019/02/10 03:09
Unless you like running around for an hour trying to find some dumb person or shop, this game is awful. I played this for 30 minutes and got bored in the first 10. There is just nothing to do but plant crop, wait... wait... wait... walk around and get lost. It’s just a cluster if you don’t have photographic memory. I give this gave a 2 star because I do like the gather sell bit. Otherwise, trash. Don’t waste your money.
Now all it needs is multiplayer.
by ChaiTeaYummy on 2019/02/10 01:45
It’s exactly like the PC game, but has a better optional tutorial and auto attack if you struggle in the mines. Some bugs here or there that I’ve seen others experience but personally haven’t ran into any so far. I love being able to flop onto my bed and relax. Now it just needs multiplayer so I can buy it for my husband to play with me.
Really Fun Game, Some bugs
by Elijah T. G, on 2019/02/09 22:51
Stardew Valley has almost instantly become one of my favorite games, I have spent tons of time playing this game and I am really hoping they add multiplayer to the mobile version. Even though the game is fun it has some bugs. I have had some crashing problems of my game crashing and loosing 3 days of progress even though it is suppose to save every night, I also had an issue of when I put 5 crab pots on the beach on the last day of the night market, and they disappeared the next day. I am very upset this happened as I had spent a lot of resources to get them. This bug has not caused me to want to stop playing the game but after I am very annoyed. My only request is that this issue be looked at and fixed so it does not happen to anyone else. Other than those two, I would definitely recommend buying this game.
I am utterly addicted but...
by BenitaBee on 2019/02/09 18:38
The fishing guys. Like come on!!!! I can’t fish to save my life. The only thing ruining this game for me is the fishing. I paid $8 and feel like I’ve gotten my money back but the fishing is the end of me. PLEASE FIX IT

It’s not longer Christmas and if you could remove the seasonal decorations off the icon. Most importantly I’ve been begging for you to allow brackets in the name, a feature I loved in the console edition which I also bought! I’ve been supporting since the start of just love it if I could get the same experience I paid for on the console version please?!?

I love this game it’s pretty much the only game I play but I have one problem...SLEEPING, every once in a while when I go to bed it works but when it gets to the saving screen sometimes it just stays there and I have to close the game and start over from the middle of the day

Love this!
by iloveapplegrl on 2019/02/07 13:47
I absolutely love this game, with 1 exception...fishing. I have been playing for a few weeks and find the fishing game on iOS to be impossible and frustrating- not allowing me to complete quests. If the developer can fix this I would give it a 5 without hesitation.
My game💞
by QueenNiyah777 on 2019/02/07 10:39
I love stardew valley but now I have to delete the game because they patched it. I don't understand what switch has to do with iOS but taking it away because of switched completely ruined my my game.😢
2 stars due to lack of multiplayer.
by Jamie Maloney on 2019/02/07 05:03
We need multiplayer on the IOS version like the other platforms. It really brings the game down for me. Multiplayer makes it feel alive.
Fix the Fishing!!!
by A. Moondust on 2019/02/07 03:00
The developer does not understand the touchscreen. You can not use the same mechanics that work for a mouse on a touchscreen!!! Fishing is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE in this game. It doesn’t matter how many hours you waste trying in vain to catch a fish you will not catch one. NO YOU WONT! It doesn’t matter what body of water you try to fish in, what time of day or how often you tap and recast, or not touch it at all. I have tried ever variation of techniques and nothing works. When you tap the bobber doesn’t move at all. When you touch, even very lightly- the bobber goes flying to the top and you lose the fish. I even looked up tips on fishing on the IOS and everyone else concludes fishing on IOS is broken. It doesn’t work. You won’t catch fish on IOS. This is BS. This wouldn’t be such a bad thing if fishing wasn’t essential in game for completing quests and revitalizing the town. I am in the Summer of Year 3 and the community center is not finished because it requires fish. Fix the fishing mechanics of this game! For gods sakes make it work on IOS. Pocket Camp is a great game that has fishing and you CAN fish in Pocket Camp and obtain the fish you need because they got the fishing mechanics right. If not for fishing this review would be 5 stars. But I can’t finish the game at this point.
Help!
by TaffyHamster on 2019/02/07 02:36
This is an amazing game. I got it when it was a few dollars off, for New Years, and I love it! I love how there are different seasons, and how you can have interactions with all the townspeople! PLEASE READ: I accidentally declined the offer from Marnie for a cat, and I really wanna cat! Is there anyway I could get a cat after that, or am I just stuck cat-less, at least for that person, forever?
Yaaaaassss! (But one suggestion)
by Miniturr on 2019/02/07 00:24
I LOVE THIS GAME! I play it way too much for it to be healthy, and It is definitely worth the price! Buuuuut, it does not have multiplayer like the computer version, and I think that would be an amazing update, so I can play with my sister. Other than that, it’s perfect!
I LOVE STARDEW VALLEY!

I'll never need another ios game. this is it. thank you
PLEASE FIX!
by nateyonthespot on 2019/02/06 18:45
I’m in love with this game. Im traveling Europe and don’t have the ability to play my usual games. Stardew Valley has given me my fix, and exceeded my expectations. BUT there is a bug that messes everything up. At the start of a new day you will occasionally end up freezing at the loading screen, and you’ll lose a days worth of progress! It can be really hard to pick back up when it feels like every in-game week one of the days will end up like groundhogs day! Devs please start working on this bug next it’s really getting hard to continue to play.
Great, but could you add multiplayer?
by EMERALDMEGALODON on 2019/02/06 17:07
This game is amazing. I’ve spent at least 200 hours since last December playing this, and it never gets old. My sister also loves to play this, but we can’t play it together. Please add multiplayer soon, ConcernedApe. But even without multiplayer, it’s still so amazing.

My favorite mobile game!
by QuantumStarr7127 on 2019/02/06 03:15
I love this game so much. It’s perfect in every way. Except the controls. They are terrible. Please fix them. Also take the ability to be homosexual away. Kids will be playing this game and could find their way into accidentally marrying their same gender. This is not okay. Please change this. Otherwise this game is amazing!

Family sharing not sharing
by Frankie maxx on 2019/02/05 21:01
I bought this for my phone and wanted to use in my iPad because of how small my phone is.. my son is set up as the owner and while he does use it sometimes I use it more.. it wants me to pay for it again..8 should be able to share on family share plan and it’s not working.. I tried to figure out how to email but it directs me to a forum and not an email so I cannot mail in the error.. not sure how else to get a message to the developer other than a poor review..
A “mobile” game actually worth buying
by JS.Fortnight.A on 2019/02/05 13:54
I generally don’t buy games for mobile and I NEVER write reviews for mobile; but for this one I had to make an exception. I had seen this title on Steam in the past and had been curious about it; but as I don’t have much time to play games on PC, when I saw that it was available on iOS and that it didn’t have ANY micro-transactions or the usual locked-in time-based mobile game mechanics, I decided to give it a chance. What a wonderful, chill, and just all around enjoyable game. One can immediately tell that for its creator this game was/is a labor of love. Well done, and worth every penny.
Best Harvest Moon Type of game
by Pixielf7 on 2019/02/05 00:29
I’ve spent over a hundred hours on this game and I can still say I haven’t finished everything. This game has a bit of everything and so worth the money.
It’s great but....
by emplayer395 on 2019/02/04 20:28
I love this game but there are some minor bugs. Like the dog will sleep in the little hallway connected to the bedroom so I can’t enter it to sleep. The dog sometime ends up glitching sometimes. But overall I do love this game and I would highly recommend it.
Best game ever
by Sup no I don't have a nickname on 2019/02/03 04:18
I love this game. I’m always looking for a good role play game with farm and family. Because no one makes them as good as Stardew and Minecraft and Stacey and hytale. So this was sooo fun when it came to mobile.
Massive and relaxing game. Fishing is impossible though.
by TeD2D on 2019/02/03 03:53
This game is much bigger than I had expected. It’s pretty relaxing and is completely open. Completely worth the $8 since there’s no in-app purchases and it’s updated almost every two weeks. The only MAJOR drawbacks: 1. (Minus 1 star) Fishing sometimes is near impossible. The tapping to keep the fish in the green while it jumps up/down quickly is frustrating and random, and requires dumb luck rather than skill. It should be redesigned. It may work on a PC but not on mobile. Developers please consider this. I’m not the only one with this issue, just look at the reviews. 2. Earning money initially takes forever because the character just falls asleep when you finally get an opportunity to earn. It should 1) not fall asleep or 2) don’t penalize with a high fine wiping out all nominal earnings. That “initial grind” is just too steep and takes forever It does get a little easier after year 1. But the first year is tough. 3. Request! Please local LAN multiplayer. Other than that, solid old Harvest Moon/Old Animal Crossing vibe to this. Great game! Even if some of the villagers stories are a bit dark.
Good game but.....
by I lovewalter on 2019/02/03 02:00
I love this game, but after one week, this game started force closing, anyone know why? People say that, there might be a update coming, and the game is preparing its self, but I doubt that, help?

Not suited for the iPhone X Max
by kholl098 on 2019/02/02 17:42
I loved this game when playing on the iPhone 6 however it’s nearly impossible to play it on an iPhone X Max because the necessary controls are blocked by certain parts of the phone’s screen. Needs an update.
Crashing
by Aki_Pocky on 2019/02/02 17:10

by LishP on 2019/02/02 12:36
Once I got to year 2 winter day 28 it just shut off at the end of the day. I played the day 3 times hoping it was my error. I hate to start over but I may do that just to keep playing. Please fix this for a five star game
Rain glitch
by kristen589 on 2019/02/02 05:41
Really fun game and I would give it 5 stars if there wasn’t a glitch where it didn’t rain at all in year 2 (at least not yet and I’m half way through summer). Please fix this!!!
Fix the dumb “Secret Police” vanity trailer
by McSnee on 2019/02/02 04:14
Love the game—it’s fantastic, five stars all the way. Wish the stupid “Secret Police” vanity trailer at the beginning didn’t mess with my background audio, though. Yeah, we get it: you’re the iOS publishers, or whatever. Quit being lame: you didn’t make the game, and ConcernedApe doesn’t mess with my background sounds.
Frequent crashing
by Challaesy on 2019/02/02 03:56
I really love this game. However, the game crashes on me almost every single day. I have the most up to date version too. Consistently having to redo entire days gets annoying really fast. :( I wish the crashing would discontinue.
Beautiful but could use some changes
by Someone That Loves Anime on 2019/02/02 03:14
Stardew valley is a lovely farming RPG that I love and I was excited when it came to mobile! When I purchased it I got into a new world and the setting were really weird. I tried messing with the settings but I do not like them. It would be lovely if they could add a custom settings button. Also, I play on PC and I noticed that on mobile that there isn’t Co-op. I know it was released not to long ago so I wondered if they were going to make an update about it. All my friends have it on mobile and I would make me so happy if they added Co-op!
Please Update Fishing Mechanics
by NaimaZ95 on 2019/02/02 02:30
Everything else on mobile works beautifully, combat, farming, and just the general mechanics are all great. I don’t understand why fishing is the only thing lacking in this. It is extremely difficult to catch a fish unless it stays at the bottom of the bar. No amount of tapping or holding works. It would honestly be a 5 star game for me if not for the fishing. Looking at other reviews it seems that i’m not the only one having trouble with this.

I’m having ALOT of fun, it’s a good game, it has ALOT to do. You can get married for the lonely folk, u can fish for the calm folk, you can farm for the hardworking folk, you can fight in a mine/dungeon for the heroic folk, there are many birthdays and events to go to for the organized folk and a money currency in the game for the greedy folk, something for all to do.😄
Absolutely love it but...
by Onyxai on 2019/01/31 14:53
Stardew Valley is such a fun game and very calming after an infuriating FPS game and as soon as I heard it was on mobile, I downloaded it immediately. The one problem is, is not with the controls or anything, but the fact that we either can’t temporarily drop items, or I just haven’t found out how to yet. And early game, this is very frustrating cause I haven’t got the money for an upgrade quite yet, but I need to pick up something (like boots) that will leave an open space after I put them on, and then I can pick up what I needed to drop. So far, I can only throw it away, and that ends with my getting rid of something valuable sometimes. If we can just drop items, please, someone somehow, let me know, otherwise, I would really enjoy a feature to drop items without having to use the trash can.

Still having frequent issues where the game freezes when saving and I lose progress
No brackets allowed?!

I love this game but really liked the fact I could name myself with an item glitch. On Xbox you can still do this, for some awful reason you cannot on iOS platform. Please give us back the brackets[] otherwise I want my 8 dollars back!
I love this game!!

I love this game but one tiny thing I think would be nice is not having to pet animals once they reach 5 hearts if that isn’t already a feature.

Fishing Impossible

Fishing on mobile is so difficult that most people give up. Please fix this! Otherwise, the game is great!
Why though
by 100% sodium on 2019/01/28 03:48
Great game overall, but I'm an over salted person so immana bring up how my inventory will be full, so I'm walking around and my finger runs into a person. This causes me to loose a perhaps very precious item to a Leah, stating, "I guess everyone has different tastes" leaving me to check my inventory over and over for that artifact I just "gifted". In conclusion, maybe just a tiny little window that asks you if you really want to gift your item to an NPC. Also, for extra salt, once I had an empty slot in my inventory, and I crafted a chest (this was while standing in a patch of tall grass) then I checked for the chest, only to find it had completely poofed out of existence.
In need of Fishing HELP!
by Luckypnut1 on 2019/01/27 21:13
I love this game except for the fishing. Maybe because I’m playing the game on my iPad, or it’s just me. I’ve caught one fish and that was right after I received the pole from Willy. I’ve also watched many uTube videos on fishing; read Wiki and other helpful walkthroughs but have had no luck at all. I even started a new game just for practicing fishing. Still nothing. Anyone got an easier way to fish so I catch something for the Community Center? HELP!
Feels funny saying this
by Christyks955 on 2019/01/27 19:24
Beautiful game with simple yet effective graphics. Surprisingly one of the things that I’ve loved about games like these are the little glitches that allow you to do unique things that you wouldn’t normally be able to do. Which is why I was sad to see some things patched up from the original. It gave you more power and more options, it was a different and enjoyable way to play. I love games that have their own unique code and aren’t perfect, as long as the game was still playable what was the issue? Also, it’d be fantastic if you’d find the time to add more story, map, and adventure. I’d be your first paying customer for some kind of expansion!

I love this game and all the amazing content it has. The only thing is I have it on mobile obviously and the fishing is part of the game because you have to finish the community center with it. It is literally the hardest thing to do! I have not been able to catch one fish. Please when y’all update it again please try and make fishing easier. The rest of the game is on point! Love it!

Tweaking these tiny issues will make this game entirely more playable!!! I LOVE this game, but I deleted it because of the continuous need to travel all the way back to my home to sleep so often. Got bored spending most of my time walking around, not being able to accomplish anything with the time given. Also what’s up with fishing?? It’s frustratingly difficult!
Lovely but needs some work!!
by Theamazingcbear on 2019/01/26 04:52
A lovely game, beautiful really!! However, one thing I’ve noticed is that the saves tend to crash every so often- so you lose your progress of a full day, which is especially annoying when you spent the full day mining or picking crops! If this was fixed then it would be EXCELLENT
Amazing, BUT
by Qazzie9 on 2019/01/26 01:50
This game is so fun and I want to sing its praises but I can’t ignore the game’s flaws. It crashes frequently after mine runs. I hate putting in all this effort in the mines only for the game to crash on the saving screen and require me to restart the entire day. Also I’ve almost passed out because for some reason the cat is allowed to sleep in front of the front door. Path finding in the coop bugs out and brings you outside instead.
Addictice

Thus game is so addictive! When I first downloaded it, I spent hours setting up my farm. Now that I am pretty far along in the game, married and have a baby, I do wish there was more to do. The events, for instance, repeat every year. I think it’s fine to add in some new ones! I have pretty much given up on the desert mine, you have to have some serious time to get far. Overall a great game, but I do think some additions would be great to keep the playability going.

I love Stardew Valley... The only hung that is hard is the fishing. I have seen that a lot of people also have trouble with the fishing. If there is any way that you could help fix this problem it would be helpful. Some ideas are: when your catching a fish instead of keeping the bar on the fish maybe you could wait for the fish to be in the middle of the bar and click?

BUG REPORT Ok so there’s a bug where the game won’t save so I have to restart the day. So I get my payment for the stuff I sold then it says the day it’s on but loads forever. I legit waited ten minutes before giving up once!!! This gets pretty annoying on a day you would’ve earned like 5000+ coins. Still a great game, I’ve been playing 24/7. I love it [: It’s really addictive, I’ve already spent 50+ hours on it and I got it a couple weeks ago!!! You can’t use brackets which is a little annoying for me since I do :] for a more unique smiley face but that’s ok! Currently in summer year three, happily married to Alex. Keep up the good work!!!

Sometimes the font background will change color. The game will lag for 30 seconds and then it crashes. Forcing me to restart whatever day it is. Other than that super fun like on the computer. Controls aren’t too tough but can be tricky at times. Fun though!
I love the game, but..
by DeadGirlPatience on 2019/01/23 03:22
I love the game, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes it won’t save my game, it will stay on the saving screen for hours, I’ll exit and enter the game again, but the whole day has been reset.
Great game — Needs keyboard controls
by NoInternet on 2019/01/22 16:16
I’ve been playing this game for many years now. The iPad version is great, but definitely takes a little time to get used to the touch controls. One update I’d recommend is adding back the keyboard controls when the iPad is connected to a keyboard case. All things considered, I’d still recommend this game to anybody.
Quick Question

My Stardew Valley was working perfectly fine, but today, it crashes every time I try to go on it. I don’t know what happened. Update: I even tried to contact someone on the ChuckleFish Forums, but they didn’t respond. I want this to fix! Another Update: C’mon! I paid 8 dollars on this and yet, IT DOESN’T EVEN WORK!!!
I love this game, minor changes needed for best experience
by Tessa Fox on 2018/10/29 05:01
I do adore this game, I have played it on my friends switch for hours on end after them went to bed and even when they were awake. When I herd it was coming to mobile I was stoked, I immediately preordered and the moment it was out I was downloading. I began to play and noticed differences in controls, when I started playing there were three things I would change. Not having to switch between tools, it was in the right place it’s a wonderful mechanic, until your trying to water your crops and you accidentally use your pickaxe and destroy it. Smaller screen, once again in the right place a smaller screen smaller window right? As someone who likes to see more especially with such vast spaces like the woods a bigger area that you can see is preferred, if there were perhaps an option to scale this in any way that would be perfect. Some things take more time, compared to the switch at least. One of the things I loved about the switch was just being able to throw things into the deposit box. When I noticed this ability had been removed I was saddened partly due to inside jokes but mainly because it saved time being able to run by and throw things was easier then having to open a menu and select from there. Anyway those are just three small things I would be so happy if were changed but these things wouldn’t keep me from this game ever. It’s such a fun and immersive game that just steals your attention, it’s fantastic.
Almost perfect.

I love that the game is available for mobile now. There are a few things that bug me though. The auto attack feature needs some work. When I play on my pc or ps4 I never die in the mines but in this version I die every time!!! I even have the galaxy sword and hammer and I use foods to give me more luck or defense. The controls are a bit cumbersome. The menu is on the left so my hand is always blocking the screen. And I’m frantically trying to switch between items before I get attacked suddenly and die again. I like that as long as my tools are in my inventory they will work automatically. Except for my weapons!!! I’ll place a bomb and I’m trying to run away and switch back to my hammer or eat something really quickly. I tried using the menu on the bottom. I liked it better but it is really flawed. When I’m in the mines trying to equip my weapon I wind up moving the menu spaces. Sometimes it will move so much that the weapon is no longer in the screen. It’s becoming really frustrating. I’ve tried the joystick controls but I’m constantly hitting other things. I just can’t get the hang of it. Aside from those few things I love it! I understand how controls can be really tricky since it’s on a phone but maybe make a few adjustments to the bad guys in the mine. It takes so many hits to kill bad guys in the skull cavern. And so few to die. Even with the iridium band and the slime band. Sorry for my rambles. It probably doesn’t make much sense. Haha!
I love this game.
by Jmeisternixon on 2019/01/08 13:40
It is sooooo easy to lose hours playing this. I have lost countless hours in this game and I have no regrets. I really like the fact that this game is not a paid to win model and I like that proportionately the price is very good considering it’s an iOS game but yet it is a full pledge game. So with all of that being said I gave the game five stars because with every review that I’ve done with every update every issue that has been addressed has pretty much been solved with every issue and so I not only give five stars to the game but also five stars to the developer who listens to review feedback and customer support. Of course I feel that with any port of a game that either started off on consoles or a platform with mechanical controls I always feel that the controls can be better but I also don’t know how to solve it so I am not going to complain too much. However if there is one thing that I can ask is that I think the inventory system needs to be reworked. A suggestion for that would be instead of the scrolling feature that we currently have to scroll through all of our inventory while we’re playing the game, Instead perhaps have a drag and slide from the left side out option so that we have full access to our inventory. Regardless of that I have absolutely no issues with this game that would allow me to give it any less than five stars.
Great, still some bugs
by JenniPoP on 2018/10/31 13:41
I’ve got the played this game for a while on my Mac and love it. Moving it to iOS is amazing, as I rarely have time to sit down with my computer and play, so getting a day or two in here and there in between real life is GREAT! However, there’s still a few bugs. The Spring Easter Egg hunt was a bust, it wouldn’t let me collect any eggs! I saw them everywhere, but I couldn’t click on them or walk through them, they just stayed. The controls take a little getting used to, and battling in the mines isn’t very user friendly with the controls. It definitely doesn’t work like a point and click on the computer. I’m glad they’ve added the ability to aim your cast when fishing, as sometimes the bubbles appear on a diagonal from any standing point with no way to reach them! Hopefully this helps. I am happy to see this game mirrors the full version in every way (so far), as I’ve been a huge fan for ages! There hasn’t been any real games like this for iOS so I’m ecstatic! Please just fix the Easter Egg Hunts, and make the battle controls a little more accurate! Auto-fighting is terrible, you can’t back away because you get hit, however slime balls just do constant damage while you auto swing at the wrong time. Manual isn’t much better, as it seems to have a lag, unlike the point and click of the Mac version.
Awesome, but Flawed
by _Tenpura_ on 2018/10/26 22:02
Don’t get me wrong, I love this game! I have hundreds of hours on the Steam version and I was so hyped for a mobile version coming out. I like how they didn’t produce a washed down version of Stardew Valley and kept it fundamentally the same. But, the controls need to be updated. It’s tapping and holding down to move and use your items. This creates a weird combination of the two especially when you’re fighting in the mines. Your hand is blocking your view of your energy and health bar when you want to mine something, fight, or move somewhere. The slimes are attacking you and it’s hard to fight back given the current controls. The auto fighting option doesn’t help whatsoever. It seems to make it even worse, in my opinion. I suggest adding joystick or buttons of some kind like in RPGs for moving and using items. If the developers don’t like the idea of having that as the automatic controls, there should at least be an option for it. Maybe it’s an iPad thing, but the fishing mini game is so small. It takes up less than half of my screen and is hard to manage. Even the tutorial for the fishing was difficult because of that. I’m sure after a new update comes, all will be fixed and I can’t wait for that. I’ll also change my review to reflect what it is currently. I hope this helps somewhat and if anyone is actually reading this, thank you for your time.
Amazing Game, Fantastic Port, But Not Perfect.
by CosineGod on 2018/10/24 07:57
I don’t think I’ve ever played a game as captivating as Stardew Valley. It is a game I can sink hours into the gameplay cycle, yet it fails to get repetitive. As a long time fan of Stardew Valley, I’ve always thought it would make a fantastic iOS game. That finally came to fruition today with the official App Store debut. The game looks especially gorgeous on the iPhone XS’s display. After spending two hours with the game already, there is little to complain about. Though the automatic tool switching truly makes this port a dream, it’s a completely different control scheme. I did not find it immediately intuitive, and I am still trying to adjust to it making a lot of unintended moves. I would like to see this potentially optimized as one of my biggest gripes is that the ‘drag and follow’ control for movement can get tedious when switching between screens or just simply navigating around. Either adding an alternative control scheme or further optimizing the existing one would fix this. The game is equally as great as ever, and my complaints about the game are far too minimal to deter me from playing the game. I cannot wait to dive further into this game once more, and I would highly encourage everyone else to do so.
Great on the go version of the game!
by Dulalumim on 2018/11/15 17:17
I love Stardew Valley and have played way too many hours on both the PC and Switch versions. When I heard it was coming to iPhone I was over the moon. Because of the transfer to touchscreen, expect major control changes. For example, you can now choose to autoattack in the caves which works but still could use some tweaking. Some changes actually make the game easier to play such as the auto navigation feature when you click somewhere you want to go around an obstacle and the auto switch to the correct tool when you are chopping trees or cutting grass. One annoying thing about the game is the lack of autosave meaning if you put the game down for too long it will shut down and make you restart the day. But looks like a new update just came out which fixed this problem so we’ll see how that goes. Overall, if you’re a fan of the original game this is a great miniature, on the go version that will keep you entertained for hours on end. It’s still going through some control changes and hopefully will be a smoother experience in the future. Hopefully they will be able to bring the new beta changes with multiplayer support in the future!
Masterpiece game with one big problem
by Jutesbootii on 2018/10/29 13:28
I’ve played the heck out of the PC version of the game and was ecstatic that I can now play it on my phone whenever and wherever. However, the mobile version has one major flaw: the controls. The control system is a kind of “point-and-click” system where you tap a grid-square not only to move, but to do an action as well. This control system is OK when it comes to building and farming, but mining and the skull cavern are a different story. I wish I had a nicer way to put it, but the point-and-click controls completely ruin the game once you hit the mines. The mines are essential in progressing in the game, but with the controls as they are now, it is EXTREMELY difficult and frustrating to go spelunking. Killing mobs takes ages with both auto attack and manual attack. Auto attack constantly spams mobs out of range and manual attacking takes a long time to maneuver and attack without getting hit. Moving around is just way too difficult to do with current controls. It is clunky and annoying to use. In my opinion, the controls ruin the rest of the game. Adding a joystick or something of the sort will definitely improve the experience, but right now, all you can efficiently do is maintenance of save files you’ve moved over from your PC.
Amazing game
by blueprintking on 2018/10/26 13:44
Stardew Valley is one of the greats and put a lot of time in the game on Xbox but now I can play the new 1.3 update since it came with the game for mobile which is awesome and surprising :). The only downfall of the game though is that even though the game is so fun and amazing the game is still kinda small like you can still get hundreds of hours into the game but to do everything doesn’t take long at all so putting hundreds of hours into the game is honestly a waste of time because once you do it all then you Should be done like ya you can load your farm up with expensive items but there’s not much of that in all honesty. I love the game so much but there needs to be so much content of items in the game because this game is perfect for that and it’s meant for a ton of items since it’s a grindy game obviously. Anyways the game gets a 5 stars because it truly is amazing but I thought I’d give an honest review on what the game really does need since I’ve played the game for so long that it would be dumb for me to leave a review like it’s my first time playing lol. I just love content in games that have lots of it and Stardew Valley does have enough of it but needs so much more
Amazing, thoughtful, intriguing.
by 0ver.1t on 2018/12/06 00:23
I love this game. The three words that come to mind are amazing, thoughtful, and intriguing. This game is so well thought out. I originally wanted to get this on my Xbox one, but since this one released and was cheaper I thought I’d give it a shot here. Since the release I have nonstop played this game at home, and on the go. There’s just so much you can do it and it so packed with detail. There’s quests, friendships, farming, mining. It’s just so many fun and familiar games jammed packed into one awesome pixel experience! People have often described it as a mix of games like Minecraft, harvest moon, animal crossing, and more. If you buy this game please take the time to play and know that your first year in the game can be a bit boring! But once you get up there, it is an amazing time. There’s so much to do, and this game will have you absolutely addicted and pulled in. I’ve spent so much time on this, creating my lovely virtual world that I am so proud of. ConcernedApe, you are an amazing creator. And I cannot wait to see future content. The only bad thing personally is how difficult fishing is. I’m hoping that will be a tad bit easier when I get the console version next week.
AMAZING!

I’ve always wanted to play Stardew Valley, but never had a platform that could support it. So when I heard there was an app, I scrounged up $8 to get it as soon as it came out. This game is absolutely everything I’ve ever wanted. I love the control setup, and I enjoy the tap or drag to walk. It’s been easy to advance in the game, and I’m already in the fall, with plenty of upgrades, One things I’ve been having issues with is what I’d like to call the “glitch disease”, because it continues to spread. The library/museum was the first victim. When I go inside, everything is super slow and characters glitch across the rooms and text pops up in chunks instead of flowing smoothly, so I can’t put any artifacts in there because of the glitches. Then, sadly, the clinic became the next victim. It gets annoying when I’m trying to give Harvey gifts, and I have to glitch my way behind the counter. Then my most recent victim is the carpenter’s shop/Robin and Demitrius’s home. I tried to get some upgrades and buildings and it took 2x the time. Besides this “disease”, this game is absolutely amazing and I don’t think I’ll ever quit playing it!
Great game but stabilization needed!
by Ablooblooblah on 2018/11/09 17:49
I had Stardew Valley for my PC and absolutely loved it! I played it way too much and it was/is one of my favorite games so when I saw it was coming out for the iPhone, I freaked a little bit. Don’t get me wrong, I am IN LOVE with this game on a mobile platform. It really is good to play while I’m waiting for a doctor’s appointment or in between my classes and then be able to quickly close it and then come back later! This is one of those games that is amazing for phones, because sometimes I just want to play for 10 or 15mins at a time. However, it does need some stabilization improvements. Perhaps it’s just where I am currently, but the last 3 times I’ve gone into the cave to do spelunking, the game has crashed. It wouldn’t be that annoying but I lost about 20 floors of progress the first time and about 10 the second and third time. At this point, it’s just annoying more than anything else. Even then, I still love this game and would EASILY give it 5 stars if not for the game crashing hiccups. This game is amazing on the iPhone in every way, shape, and form. If you’re on the fence on whether to get it or not, I would highly recommend it!
Love this game but a few problems
by someone whos tired on 2018/11/07 22:36
I love Stardew Valley and I was super excited for this port!! It controls super nicely for the most part but there are a few areas where it’s lacking. 1. When using the water can, you press and hold so it can water more spaces. It’s really hard to position your character so it waters the right spaces. I found that using it actually wasted time instead of saving it, which doesn’t happen on pc. For the most part this seems like something that can only be remedied by a joystick type control. 2. The sleeping to save works well on pc because when you sit down to play, you know your gonna be playing for a while and saving isn’t a big deal. But on mobile..... it works.... poorly... I never know when I’m gonna get a phone call or have to leave the app to text someone and loose all my progress for that day or I’m in public and something else needs my attention. This game desperately needs a save button. It just makes it frustrating when you leave the app for a moment and everything’s gone! Overall this port is great. The good definitely outweighs the bad. I’m excited to see the changes that come in the future!
About 3 hours after a new bug was introduced it was fixed
by Me1172 on 2018/12/09 23:39
UPDATE: the planting is fixed, I love everything and find combat and fishing a bit annoying but more of a new challenge then anything else. So I love this game on Xbox and pc but the mobile version still needs some work. I was planting seeds and farming happily until the summer season started and then suddenly none of the seeds (I was trying to plant melons and peppers) would plant... it isn’t me I don’t think because I could plant until the start of summer and I have played so many times on other devices and never had this problem but I hope it’ll be fixed soon. (The game was also updated to fix a different bug in between when it was working and when it wasn’t, so that may be a part of it.) aside from this fishing is challenging but I’m sure I just need to get used to it and the arcade games and combat need a bit of tweaking because the controls are annoying. I know that’s a lot of criticism but overall is still find myself playing for frequently because it’s just such a wonderful game!!! Keep it up guys🙂
Controls
by Sparky7536 on 2018/10/24 20:02
The game is perfect for mobile... almost. Everything else I really enjoy about the game, however; I would really wish if you could add an analog stick/joystick option in the settings. Moving my character around I do prefer an analog stick, the controls for moving your character around seem a bit stiff in my opinion, an analog stick or joystick would be mostly appreciated for this game. I play on an ipad air 2 and the game runs really great, its just the fact of having to move my finger around the ipad gets a bit annoying at times. My suggestion would be to just add an option in settings to switch between touch and a joystick, and maybe a button on screen to realize an action (alternative for tapping). The game is really great, all that really needs some fixing in my opinion is the controls. Please I hope you read and consider my review, game would be perfect with just these minor tweaks. I understand it just came out, with updates oncoming in the near future, but please consider an option to choose between play style. “Thank You” for reading and continue the great work!
Good stuff mostly
by 24hrtow on 2018/10/29 05:47
This game is great! A few things though...fishing is crazy hard with the iPad controls and...MY CAT KEEPS GETTING IN MY WAY SO I CANT REACH THE BED! It’s super annoying to rush to bed at midnight to find that I made it it in time but TOO BAD I can’t get to my bed. Can we wake them up or move them or maybe the hallways doesn’t have to be so narrow!?!? Please? It seems random where they sleep and maybe I’m just unlucky...but...it’s lame... also...after deciding to restart the day after this (while distracted watching tv) i managed to delete me save. I accept that this is my fault for not paying enough attention and clicking through screens too quickly out of habit instead of reading but...maybe...you could make the junk button be smaller? Not on the exact right where right handed people will of course touch?...idk...dumb on my part for being distracted while loading it I guess but since it’s a mobile game I’d like expect some distraction and maybe you can make deleting a game a little harder 🤦🏻‍♀️. I’ll start over in a month or so when It doesn’t feel so much like back tracking I guess...
HUGE HEARTBREAKING BUG!!! (Concerned Ape Please read!!!!!
by Soccer 24/7!!! on 2018/12/09 02:07
So, here’s the thing. I really love Stardew Valley. I was overjoyed when I had found the Xbox version at GameStop last year, and I was in complete shock when I found out it was coming about on mobile. (And I, of course, bought that too 😆) but there is a huge problem that I just found with the most recent update. (The one that fixes the green slime issue.) I can’t interact with ANY NPC. EVER. I’ve tried restarting the day but this heartbreaking bug is still here!!! I don’t know what to do anymore. If I tap on an NPC (lets take Evelyn for example) I just go up to her, and my character just violently glitches in her spot. I don’t know how to fix this, and NPC-interacting is such a huge core of this game!! I don’t know if anyone is struggling with this glitch as well, or it will correct itself if I have my character go to bed and sleep it off, but I had made so much progress in my save file!! I really don’t want to have to delete it!!! Concerned Ape, if you are reading, please help me!! Thank you for your time.
Such a great game!

Let me start by saying I own Stardew Valley on Xbox, Switch, and no mobile. This game is simply amazing on all platforms. I would highly recommend this game if you are at all interested. One thing I would like to see added with a future update would be basic controls using a dpad and an action button. The touch to move has gotten a little easier to use, but I find myself touching things to the side of what I meant to and sometimes wasting energy I didn’t want to. I have an especially hard time checking the TV in the morning. The first touch works for the weather channel, the. I try and touch the TV again to check the fortune but it won’t allow me to unless I move my character to the opposite side of the TV. Nothing major, just something I would like to see as an option for people, like me, who would rather have a virtual dpad on the screen with an action button. Great job by The Secret Police on the mobile version and of course to the creator Eric Barone for this amazing game

Yes... finally a game I can get immersed in without having to wait on an energy refill or feel pressured to buy in-app purchases! I have spent countless hours already in this game and am so indulged that it’s hard to quit playing. Thank you for developing this wonderful game. With that said, I have only ran into a couple of minor issues. Every now and again, my pet cat pins me in a corner or some odd place and it’s quite a time sometimes before it moves so I can continue to play. I am hoping this recent update addresses this issue. Also, after playing for hours on end, the game will crash for no apparent reason and I lose the last 5 or 10 mins of play progress. That’s very annoying. I guess I should take a break from the game and save manually once in a while to remedy this. 😋😉 I look forward to more wonderful updates for the progress of this game and thank you again for making this WITHOUT all the annoyances of other games such as in-app purchases or energy refills! BRAVO
XS Max, iOS 12.x

The iOS version of this title is something that many users—myself included—have anticipated for years. It is an indie darling that has experienced success on almost every major platform due to the tireless efforts of a one-man development team and dedicated publisher who have worked to ensure quality at every turn. I purchased and gifted several copies of Stardew Valley to folks who can now experience the joy of simple pleasures and pursuits whether they find themselves. It is a transformative and, at times, magical experience that somehow manages to not only pull together but also improve upon the best aspects of the genre. My hope is that the dev and publisher have success addressing community issues while navigating the troubled waters of iOS development, including Apple’s ever-changing software and hardware requirements. Thus far, at least, the UI adaptations and refinements have met or exceeded my every expectation. This is one of those titles that—when done well, as is the case here—can elevate an entire platform.
LOVE this game...BUT
by Chrysno on 2018/11/17 02:00
I absolutely love this game. I first started playing on switch and it was a great game but eh on a system like that. I was crazy hype when I saw this game on mobile..genius! I do see an update happened recent that changed how you combat. Now there’s sections where you use your fingers to move the player and two sections on the right side of the screen for hitting...I absolutely hate the combat, it was better when it automatic. The movements are way to sensitive and you find yourself losing your health way to quick over finicky controls. Another concern is how there soooo much to do and sooo much to craft that you literally have to google ways to make stuff to make stuff to make more stuff with no layout as to how and where to obtain materials needed. Other than this I really don’t have much else to complain...one more thing tho, I always try to stop playing after an entire day has passed to save my progress. However I find myself repeating the last day played more often recent. Hope this gets fixed to. Overall I’m super happy with this game and have been playing it almost everyday.
Great game, replayable, regular updates, a bit glitchy
by LlamaScarf on 2018/11/19 04:03
I want to start with my criticism. The game doesn’t auto save like it did at first. My game crashed and it didn’t auto save. I have the option checked, it auto saves sometimes, but it didn’t work on the last crash. I had a very story packed day with about 5 different cut scenes from earning hearts and the game crashed when I tried to get on my horse.... I’m so discouraged to go through that again... I will because I enjoy the game, but please fix! Now my main review. This game has the potential for you to replay the main story over and over, or dig your roots deep into one game and play it for many in-game years. There are many routes you can take to success. You can create your own storyline in a sense depending on who you befriend. There’s no “win condition,” you simply play, and complete the parts of the game you want to. There’s many ways to make money and some small decisions along the way that can help you do this. I don’t normally buy apps but this one was really worth it for me.
good!!! but...
by Kkkjjjjgfswrvhnkopfwwrcbkdeyh on 2019/01/02 17:24
okay so i've never played this game on pc or console so i can't comment as to how it compares. i like this game. i'm a little bit addicted right now. it's like minecraft mixed with animal crossing and it's great. i love the aesthetics i love the people i love the variety of activities and landscapes. the town your character lives in is kinda small but it feels a lot bigger because there's a lot to do in each part of it. my ONE qualm and ONE request is that fishing is entirely too hard and needs to be made easier. maybe it's easy for some people but personally i have no idea what i'm doing or how to be successful when fishing in this game. i've heard it's easier on pc which is understandable but also my dudes there really needs to be some kind of fishing system that works better on mobile. i gotta fill up those fishing bundles bro!!! other than that i love the game, i'm so happy i bought it, i've already spent a good amount of time avoiding reality on it!! it's a very cute fun game that just feels good to play. fix the fishing system and it'll be perfect.
Great port with some MFI and multiplayer issues.
by Tytan87 on 2019/01/15 02:38
This is a pretty great, complete port, but there a couple things that leave me wanting. 1. No multiplayer, especially in a mobile port of this game, is a little disappointing. You can play it on the go, so why not with another person? 2. MFI support is there, but incomplete and even, at times, unintuitive or broken. It does not truly support analog control, and many features of the UI, like menus, were not ported in a functional manner. Most menus must be navigated via touch. Eat something in your inventory? Select and use it the same way you do on PC or consoles, but you can only confirm the pop up menu with a press of the screen. Also, all menus are enterable or cancelable with a controller but cannot be positionally navigated via the controller. The L1 and R1 buttons, which should cycle through larger swaths of your inventory, only cycle your view of it one item at a time, redundant to the selection triggers. Would love an update that uses the full MFI functionality or makes the controller mappable!
Fantastic Game That Needs Better QA
by Goblinkatie on 2018/12/10 13:18
The game itself is incredible, a phenomenal port of the computer game. Yes, fishing is tricky, but once you suffer through catching trash in your farm lake and catching carp in the sewers for a couple levels it becomes much easier. My only real complaint about the game is that it seems like there is little to no Quality Assurance being carried out on updates before they go live. Most recently it appears that the placement of the player character in his/her environment is incorrect which has caused several features of the game (fishing, farming, interacting with NPCs) to fail. This should have been an obvious issue had the developers taken any time to check the playability of the update before submitting it to the Apple Store. I understand the need for a fast turnaround, but the priority of speed over quality is having a tremendously negative impact on the game. UPDATE: They patched the latest issue within 36 hours. Their turnaround time is great, just wish it wasn’t necessary. Raising my review to 4 stars.
AMAZING! But one thing...
by Relick-Dawnblade-Warlock on 2018/10/27 20:42
So tons of my friend were telling me tk get this game and I’ve been loving it ever since I got into the game Starbound made by also by Chucklefish. I Pre-ordered it and kept checking it every day very anxious to play it. Then the day it came out I jumped right into the game. And simply: it’s amazing! The lore, the content and story there’s sooooo much to do. But there’s just one thing... the movement controls. Don’t get me wrong it’s not horrible, just strange. Tap to go where you want or drag. This gets a bit weird at times, I’ll be holding my finger down to walk forward somewhere and I can’t see my character, so at times I’ll run into things and it’s a bit hard to navigate. My suggestion is just add the option to use a D-pad/joystick to move around. This would be so much better and that’s literally the only reason why I didn’t rate it 5 stars. This game is truly amazing, a new favorite, just please at some kind of joystick to move around. 9/10 would recommend. 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Just please add a new movement method.
YESSSSS!!!!

I’m a strictly a COMPUTER gamer as my boyfriend takes over the TV with his PlayStation. I don’t mind though, I play games like The Sims which is more detailed on a computer compared to other platforms. That being said I feel in love with Stardew Valley when it first released. The whole game from the way you can customize everything to the characters is amazing and worth the price on any platform. I’d play this on my computer everyday so imagine when I seen this in the App Store coming soon section. So far it has some bugs to it but it’s the same game I know and love. I never tried the multiplayer feature so I’m not missing it. I was able to transfer my save files which was easy. I will say some features were forgotten like if you have fruit trees in your greenhouse some won’t let you collect the fruit I’m guessing because of the way I have them setup. I also can’t decorate walls in my sheds. Little bugs I’m sure will be updated.
Great game but a “little” issue.
by Simply Scuptios on 2018/10/25 07:39
I have hundreds of hours clocked on the steam version of this game, and plan on spending many more in this one, but there’s an issue that really affects the way I like to play. Fishing is very poorly optimized. To start, I am playing on an iPad 2018 and the fishing bar is extremely tiny. It looks like the PC version plopped in and downsized, and I’m sure that’s all it really is. The second part of fishing that makes it fairly annoying is casting. This becomes more of a general complaint with the game, but I think that there needs to be some sort of use button. In order to cast the fishing rod, you have to tap directly on the water in front of the character, and even then your character might glitch and walk around before casting. Every part of the game played fairly smoothly until I cast a line into the ocean. Edit: after play testing the game on my iPhone SE, it became apparent that the fishing bar simply doesn’t scale with screen size. Probably more of a bug than a poor port.
Fantastic and Addicting
by JoelTheRater on 2018/11/05 01:53
*** EDIT - So I’ve noticed a few bugs here and there, the main one being that I can’t place crab pots in the water? I bought three and I’m unable to place any of them in the water. Also, the combat is a bit broken and the auto attack feature gets buggy at times (coming from 20+ hrs of gameplay) I got this game after it came out because I heard a lot of great things about Stardew, and I’m not disappointed. All the mechanics from the other versions are smoothly implemented into this port, and the controls are a lot better than I could have imagined. Everything is intuitive, and I’m sure for all the old Stardew players, this will be a fantastic portable edition. I have over 10 hours so far, and I hope to play this game for much more to come. The only problems I have are the fishing mechanics (trying to accurately cast line) and watering multiple plants at a time. Other than that, this game is outstanding!
I love this game but…
by Simsimtab on 2019/01/10 02:12
I am addicted this game. I have spent quite a few hours playing and I just can’t seem to let it go. It is hard at first but with time and effort you can make a lot of money. It has things that make me want to play until the end of time. Except there are things that get pretty annoying. Like I upgraded my house and before the upgrade I placed a decor in-front of where the stairs were, I tried everything to move it, and the old tv that I didn’t put there, but they wouldn’t budge. Also fishing is too hard, the fish for the bundle at the community center is mostly fish from the traveling merchant. Finally as a detail the game makers put this area above the farm that blocks some places from my sight. Also I would love a scale for the game so that I can see further and not have a limited view. I really really hope that the developers fix these problems soon cause it’s really really annoying to point that I’m done playing the game for a while.
Please help me.
by Just another kid. on 2018/11/15 22:22
I love this game and have been waiting for the joystick option to come out ever since release. But it doesn’t work for me, I’m right handed and prefer to use the joystick with my right hand while playing. But the game simply won’t let me. I used the option to personalize the joystick layout and put the joystick on the right side, but even after confirming these settings dozens of times over and over I have concluded with the same results. The game forces the joystick to the left side of the screen, I’ve disliked the tap controls for a while and do not want to use them again if optional. I don’t know what’s causing this issue, but it isn’t me. Please fix my problem. Sorry if I’ve come off as a robot, I’m not used to writing reviews. All I know is that this is one of my favorite games, and I hate to find it difficult to play for me and some other people with the same problem. Thank you. :)
Fantastic Port from Console and PC
by GreenDay2017 on 2018/10/28 22:35
Stardew Valley on mobile is nearly as good as on console and PC with a few minor issues. First, combat is tricky because with auto attack on, sometimes your character doesn't know where to aim, and with auto attack off, the game doesn't always know if you want to attack or move. Second, moving around and using tools is easy most of the time and difficult other times. I like to drag my finger to where I want my player to go but he frequently gets stuck and it takes too long to move him. Other times, I'm cutting grass and breaking rocks and wood, but when I try to cut the weeds he doesn't do anything. I think both of these problems could potentially be solved if there were to be an update that made a circle pad for movement and buttons for mapping tools added to the game. However, this is still a stellar port of an amazing game and I recommend those who haven't played Stardew Valley before to buy this version of the game.
Great game, but...
by JUST ACCEPT A NAME on 2018/10/28 14:56
I love Stardew Valley, and I was extremely excited to hear that it was coming to mobile. It’s great that it’s not some lame port with only a portion of the game, and that the developers really put their all into this. But my problems are Controls and Multiplayer. First off, the controls. They’re too stiff in my opinion, and it’s really weird when you have to reach over half the screen just to do something, and with this, you could accidentally waste unnecessary energy. If the devs could add an analog stick or a d-pad, and maybe an action button, that would definitely solve the problem. Second, Multiplayer. It’s great in single player, but I would like to play with my friends on mobile, with local or possibly online play. Don’t get me wrong, single player is great, but this game has the potential to have multiplayer as well. I hope the devs see this and take these issues into account.
Great game with flaws.
by Teslaaaaaaa on 2019/01/11 14:57
This game is a great game to play and get lost in. But for $7, I would expect fishing to be a lot less difficult. The only fish that was easy to catch was the one in the short and quick tutorial. Everything else is hard to catch no matter how close you are to getting it. Fishing needs to be revamped or made easier. My game often crashes and my progress is of course lost to the wind. Which gets frustrating because I’m trying to retrace my steps. It would be nice to have access from my iPad to pick up where I left off and have a bigger screen to play on. But this ability has not happened yet I believe. For this price, or even lower, other games have integration across devices while this one does not. There also needs to be auto save or an obvious “Save Progress” button so that when the app does crash, at least I can pick up where I left off. For these reasons, I can only give three stars. I look forward to these issues being solved in the future.
Amazing Job

So a few months ago a I brought this game in a Steam sale just like any normal person right? And just like any normal person I ended up dropping the game after a few weeks in favor of another game. Fastforward a few months I saw that my friend was playing this game. So i thought why not get it again maybe it’ll be even better on mobile? Boy was I right, this game is heaven when you are bored. Honestly i’ve enjoyed this game so much more now that i have it mobile. It’s like it was always meant to be a mobile game. The game itself is so relaxing (except the mines) that you will always be able to pull it out and bust out another day wherever you are. It’s also so addictive that you’ll find yourself starting another day before you even know it. Each day is like 15 minutes and it’ll be gone before you know it. What else is there so say but you can farm, raise animals, fish, mine, and grow relationships. The fishing is just hard to not be too frustrating but challenging. The farming is where it’s at that’s where you earn the most money. The relationship is also very fun as you simply give gifts to a certain someone and get married there is also very good dialogue. Just please get the game! You won’t be disappointed. Pro tip: In the early game, spend all your money on turnips you will obtain money extremely fast that way.
Amazing Game
by Stardew Valley Player on 2018/11/21 03:03
I absolutely love this game! I’ve never played it on other platforms, though I’ve watched other people play it. I was super excited finding out it was on mobile because it’s the only platform I have access to. I have a few suggestions for making the gameplay better. Firstly, make an option to zoom out, as the screen sometimes feels small. Second, I’ve seen people playing Stardew Valley multiplayer and that seems like a lot of fun. I’d love to have a multiplayer option for my gameplay. Lastly, the save is a little confusing. After the most recent update it sometimes is able to save partway through the day but sometimes it makes me start the whole day over. I don’t really have a suggestion on how it could be fixed but it might be something to look into. Overall I’m having lots of fun playing this game. Thank you and keep up the good work!
I LOVE IT!

So I’ve known about Stardew Valley when Gamecubes were still around 😅. From the moment I popped that tiny disc into my GameCube system I fell in love. Years after that it had long been forgotten with the Wii coming out and the PSP. Good times... Anyway, I recently bought the game on XBOX One last year, but haven’t been able to play it anymore. But this port is AMAZING! When I found out that there was going to be a Stardew Valley game on IOS I IMMEDIATELY pre ordered it! And I have not regretted it since (even though a full day hasn’t passed since it’s been released). The controls are AMAZING! Yeah, the whole touching-certain-spots-to-move can be tiresome, but I’d rather do that then having that makeshift analog stick taking up the screen. The graphics are GREAT! Everything is just about the same from when I last played. I can say a whole lot more, but I’d rather be playing Stardew Valley now. Great job to who ever created this! 👍🏽
Bug
by SomeOneSpicy on 2019/01/06 19:36
I love this port of the game, but it has a minor issue. I play on the button layout that has a joystick and 2 buttons, and it works great! But the only problem with it is that I can't move furniture, I can somewhat move things like the rug but I can't place it where I want it to be placed. (And sometimes it would be placed in a random spot). If I want to move furniture / any placable items, I would have to change the control scheme, then change it back. Please fix the issue pls :D Also it would be nice if you could move the "buy" button higher up. Whenever I talk to Pierre I have to click the screen, and once the menu pops up my thumb is in the exact place for buying certain items, when I release y thumb it buys the item when I didn't want it to. So I ended up spending money on something that I don't want. I would like it if you could raise the buying button higher so I would Stop buying things I don't want. Thanks!

This would have been 4 or 5 stars, it’s just that the names aren’t long enough, when I was naming my horse, it missed the last letter, and that was all I could think about and every time I went to my player card and saw its misspelled name I felt deeply unsatisfied, lost all motivation to play, and ended up deleting my save. My OCD won’t shut up about it. I can’t sell the horse. I can’t get rid of the horse. God, please make it so players can change their pets’ names, or at least be able to sell their horses. You’d think that would be an option, no? The players on PC and Mac have to resort to actual coding to change their horses’ names, whereas PS and Xbox players are on the same boat as me. So. Yikes. Please change that. Edit: Please... put the fishing bar back to normal again. Moving it to the other side for no reason and making it that big and clunky and pixely looks lazy and just makes it harder to fish... Not to mention the “perfect!” text at the top goes off the screen. Looks very unprofessional. Makes me cringe.
Needs iCloud Sync!
by TK Dennis on 2018/11/25 19:09
Honesty, the developer has expertly solved almost every problem I had with this game at launch. It is an amazing game that feels a bit like animal crossing, but with more adventure RPG elements. It is a very fun game, and well worth $20 or $30, let alone the low price the developer charges. I love playing on iPad with my MFI controller, but I also want to take it on the go with my iPhone XS Max. Sadly, you cannot sync games between devices. iCloud sync would make this a perfect five star experience for me. That being said, great job taking an incredible desktop classic that I would have never got around to, and bringing it to iOS where it is accessible for us fringe gamers who don’t get to game on a Mac or PC anymore. It has been a delightful experience, and I’m sure anyone else would agree. (P.S. The game is deep! Don’t be fooled by the world map size. There is so much stuff crammed into every nook and cranny, with a lot to master, battle, explore, and collect.)
Awesome game!!! Great on IOS but....
by Topgun.1 on 2019/01/06 08:42
This game is absolutely fantastic on iOS! Thought it would turn out to be a clunky, micro-transaction infested mobile app but was pleasantly surprised by its parallel to the pc and switch version (both of which I play and own). It could however, do with some updated controls such as adding left-handed controls(as being left-handed makes fishing waaayyy too hard). I do like the click to move and super accurate tap to farm/water/collect. It makes the game a lot more enjoyable. I also love how you don’t have to constantly switch between tools (can just tap and it auto switches). Overall, this is an awesome representation of the game and recommend getting it for its replayability and endless hours of fun! If anyone is still on the fence about buying this game, it puts $20+ mobile games to shame. Definitely a buy you will not regret!
Great Port!
by fairyk8lyn on 2018/11/07 16:24
I love Stardew Valley. I (a little too impatiently) waited for its release on pc and the same goes for mobile. Playing on the iPhone, most of it has been great. The touch controls are easy enough to get used to and besides that it’s the same great game I love. I spent ages playing on PC (even making my own cosmetic mods) and I was ecstatic to play on mobile. Nothing beats playing a day or two while waiting. There’s a few problems I’ve encountered. The biggest being combat. It ranges from annoying to impossible. I use auto attack, which means my character automatically swings her sword whenever an enemy is too close, but sometimes she faces *away* from them. I’m not sure how to fix the combat, but the farther I get, the more irritating it is. The only other thing I find an issue with is fence gates. it would be so much easier if they automatically closed behind you. Aside from those things, this is a great port of an amazing game.
I’ve waited for this FOREVER!

I’ve wanted Stardew Valley for a while now, but never had the time to purchase it on my computer. When this came out, I was literally ready to scream. This game has been everything I wanted, even if it’s a mobile game. I can imagine it being more compatible with computers, but when the company pulled out this mobile game, I was very grateful. It saved me the money and time, and even if it’s not what I thought and the controls are a bit harder then I expected, I’m in love with this game. If you ever want to spend some money on a new game, definitely try this. It’s everything you want in a farming game, with a little extra to make it even more enjoyable l. You may think the graphics aren’t very good, but they fit the game so well you’ll take back everything you’ve said about this game. I’ve never spent money so well, and I’m so happy with my purchase.
Amazing Experience!
by Baaarrb on 2018/11/17 17:08
This game is absolutely everything I’ve ever wanted. I would rate the game experience 1000 stars, if I could. Huge thanks to the developers for responding so quickly to bugs and providing helpful updates so frequently. It seems like every time I have an issue, I check and there is an update fixing it. I can only imagine how far this game will go in the future. The only things that I would appreciate a little attention on would be the placement of the fishing rod (would be helpful if player could choose which side it’s located on the screen), and also the fact that the cat often blocks the character’s path inside the house. Several times I haven’t made it to bed because my cat had fallen asleep and blocked either the bed, the hallway or the front door. Small issues, which I’m sure will be resolved eventually. Awesome, awesome game!
Gunther Machine Broke
by Fergus Lin on 2018/10/27 18:53
I want to start off first by saying I absolutely love this game. There’s so much to do and you learn or discover something new to do in the game each day. I do have two concerns however. The first, a minor gameplay concern, is the availability of iron, granted I’ve only reached the 10th level of the mine, I might have to go deeper, but that’s just a personal opinion. One big issue however is Gunther’s museum. Often when I enter to turn in an artifact or mineral, the frame rate drops and I have to leave before the game crashes. The first time this happened, I tried donating to the museum, it froze my character. I then clicked a book and the dialogue box came up with “there is a book missing here.” The dialogue box didn’t go away and then my game froze there. Ever since, my game frequently drops in frames when I enter the museum, otherwise the game is great altogether.

I love this game, I’m a newcomer to the Stardew valley game and having a mobile game as unique as this is really cool! But Bugs and glitches can ruin any great game and that’s what’s happening here. I’ve run into a few glitches that are really big issue when trying to play the game. 1. I cant talk to anybody but Alex, I can still give gifts to everybody but they won’t talk to me and I can’t talk to them even on days I haven’t talked to them at all. 2. I’m not able to plant seeds anymore, I made sure they were the right season and made sure to do everything to plant them but it wouldn’t let me. So I tried seeing if it was the controls that weren’t letting me, I use Tap and auto attack usually, and it turned out it was the controls but I still wasnt able to plant well because all the other control settings are soooo difficult to use. 3. My game crashes any time I’m about to start the mini game to catch a fish. 4. Whenever I try to talk to anybody my character will go right next to them and spaz out. 5. I wasn’t able to collect any of the eggs during the egg hunt event. I tried clicking on them and around them and it still wouldn’t do anything. Other than these glitches and the other glitches other players have found I think it’s an amazing game! I really really hope these get fixed in the near future. Hope you have a good day!
Absolutely love it but...

Wonderful game but glitchy
by Me dayle on 2019/01/13 09:19
I’m now in love with this game I’ve played it non stop for many days now, however it does have a tendency to crash and I noticed once that the death animations for the rock dudes and the dudes at the wilderness farm were glitching out and not displaying correctly. Also I’ve noticed that the flying bugs that hatch from the worm cackling things make no noise, is this normal? Finally there are times when I have not talked to someone that day but the game acts as if I already have and refuses to give me a dialogue line, I don’t know if this affects whether or not it counts me as talking to them that day but it is irritating. The crashing is the most bothersome thing but it’s not bad enough to make me not play the game. I would also love to see multiplayer come to this! It would be a great addition to the game and really make my day! Fishing is just fine for me by the way difficult but manageable.

PLEASE FIX!
by nateyonthespot on 2019/02/06 18:45
I’m in love with this game.

Best Harvest Moon Type of game

by emplayer395 on 2019/02/04 20:28
I love this game but there are some minor bugs.

Crashing
by Aki_Pocky on 2019/02/02 17:10
The game keeps on crashing and kicking me off when I tap on the app and I don’t know what to do (It won’t let me update the game and I’m confused)
I love it...I wish it worked
by LishP on 2019/02/02 12:36
Once I got to year 2 winter day 28 it just shut off at the end of the day.
Its hard to fish

Best game ever!!

This is best game ever!! Pretty simple but has story and customize stuff. And I don’t really need to check consistently like other farm games. This game is more than farming game I love it!! I hope it updates more maps that i can explore

Worth $8
by Maritory on 2019/02/01 01:53
I’m having ALOT of fun, it’s a good game, it has ALOT to do.

Addictice
by The Hungry Snowman on 2019/01/25 04:13
Thus game is so addictive!

Almost perfect.
by alargent82 on 2018/12/22 06:20
I love that the game is available for mobile now.

Such a great game!
by BlueYoureMyBoy on 2018/10/24 16:07
Let me start by saying I own Stardew Valley on Xbox, Switch, and no mobile.
5 Stars
by TexasGal69 on 2018/12/06 16:17
Yes... finally a game I can get immersed in without having to wait on an energy refill or feel pressured to buy in-app purchases! BRAVO
XS Max, iOS 12.x
by notknwn_ on 2018/10/24 04:21
The iOS version of this title is something that many users—myself included—have anticipated for years.

Great Port!

Amazing Experience!

Buggggsssss

Wonderful game but glitchy
