Love this company and have been using the Forest App for over 2 years. Just downloaded this app hoping for a similar reaction, but the app simply remains on the loading screen while playing music in the background. I have tried redownloading the app multiple times, but it simply does not work. If this gets fixed I’ll fix this review, but until then I’ll leave it a 2 star!
Does not load

I use the company’s other apps and Love them both and have been contemplating purchasing this one for a while. Finally pulled the trigger this morning and the app does not load past the welcome screen. I have tried deleting and re-downloading several times and still no luck. Not sure what the issue is but I am very disappointed and will be requesting a refund. So sad!
Increase Task Limit
by Ron in Austin TX on 2020/12/14 23:08
Please increase the maximum limit of tasks for day because, currently, Water Do is useless. I would demand my money back if I didn't use their other apps, Forest and Sleeptown, every day.
My productivity, accountability, and happiness are up!
by Merryannm on 2020/10/02 02:07
I do the task. I get to pop the water bubble. The bubble pops with a satisfying splash. The music is soothing. The colors enable me to sort tasks by type. I understand there is a reward in the chest when I reach it, and yeah, that’s fun and all...but the point for me is that I do the task and I get to pop the water ball. That simplicity makes WaterDo perfect for me. I am staying focused and motivated. And my main reward is the action I take - popping the bubble, as opposed to an action the game takes - giving me a treasure chest reward. (I hope I worded that in a way that makes sense because to me this is an important difference.) I like this app a lot. Thanks for reading my review.
Ok but could be better
by EBRreads on 2020/09/18 03:16
As others have suggested, I’d use the app more if you increased number of tasks you could be rewarded for (either with water level or just coins). Makes sense to have a limit, but I think 12 or even 18/tasks a day would be more reasonable. I removed things like morning stretches and exercise from my list because I want to save the incentives for my work day, but I want to have enough incentives to last throughout the whole day so I don’t have to do that. Even if you increased the prices of things proportionally at the same time, it’s nice to feel like you’re making progress in the game in some way. You wouldn’t even have to design more locations if you just switch to 12 tasks, 30 per chest and 600 coins an item. Everyone is asking for the same change in your reviews so I doubt anyone would mind the price inflation. 6 tasks a day is just too few! All the productivity experts say break your tasks into small easy chunks, but this app encourages exactly the opposite!
Great app! More feature requests:
by a;lskdjflasj on 2020/06/28 00:53
Love it! Just a few more feature requests: 1. Love it that you can add checklist inside the water ball. I wonder if you could make the water ball reflect your progress in the checklist as well. For example, as you check more items in the checklist, you make the water ball more and more transparent (i.e. closer and closer to “bursting”). This encourages users to break a bigger task into smaller tasks and get rewarded along the way. This might also partly solve the complaint that one cannot fit too many water balls on the screen. I personally don’t have an issue with that as I think an overly long to-do list is counterproductive, but I would love to be able to break major tasks in a day into smaller steps. 2. I really love the music in the app. Wondering if you can provide a few options of background music. (Or does music change according to location? Sorry if that’s the case since I haven’t unlocked new locations yet). 3. “Timely water ball”: a fun feature to encourage people to finish a task timely (if they choose so). It’s a water ball that will “evaporate” if you leave it there for longer than your set time. It’ll give higher rewards than normal water ball, but if you don’t finish in time, you get nothing. To make it a bit less intense, I guess you can also allow people to extend the time before it’s up.
Bubbles go off screen
by thankunextttt on 2020/05/06 08:42
I really love the reward aspect of this app and seeing my bubbles pop. As someone suffering from depression, I use the app to remind myself to eat 3 meals a day and complete personal hygiene tasks (waking up, showering, change clothes, etc). I wish my bubbles would be resized as I add more tasks so they all properly fit on the screen. Right now some bubbles at the very top of my screen are cut off halfway so I can’t read what they say.

This is the first review I’ve left for an app, I am in love with it and everything from seekrtech. That said, as a student I have lots of weekly recurring assignments, and often there are so many that the bubbles at the top get pushed out of the frame. I would suggest making a feature that shows only the tasks you have within the next seven days. Otherwise it defeats the recurring events function because I have to set them week by week to avoid having too many at the same time.
Limits your daily usage toward the game aspect
by WordGirl8602190 on 2020/04/09 03:12
As someone who already battles depression, and has been concerned about staying productive during the stay at home orders, I was excited to find a to do list that gamified my daily activities. There are many great features of the app, like allowing you to tag/categorize and sort to do items, set recurring items, and reminders. But on my first day of using this app fully, an app that we have paid for already, you’re limited in how many items on your list can be counted toward the game aspect. Why promote it as a game experience if you limit the game aspect of it? Let the water rise for every ball ticked off. Who cares how quickly we advance? If I have 17 things on my to do list, I want all 17 to count toward the game. It’s also hard to see all the balls in the water ball mode. I can use the two finger scroll, but there’s no rhyme or reason to what shows where, so I’m always searching. I chose this app to have something other than just another list, but I end up having to use the list mode any way. Very disappointed.

Can’t see all the bubbles
by Takeoutchick on 2020/01/09 06:32
Only a total of 12 bubbles can be seen on my iPhone, even though I have more, and it’s annoying to have to change views all the time. Please fix.
Love it. Strongly recommend.

This is a wonderful gamification of daily tasks and lifestyle. I really vibe with how it works and looks. The themes and the characters are cool and intriguing. And the bubbles are fun to pop as well. I hope you guys can keep doing this amazing work. Please add more themes and stories to it! In addition, I understand that the water volume shouldn’t be added after 5 bubbles. Perhaps after 5, the bubbles popped can add some coins? Even just a little bit? Like one coin or something.
Good features, but requires sign in.
by Increasingly Disappointed on 2019/07/26 16:38
The to-do features themselves are great; the music and sounds are calming and there are plenty of options for every type of task. You have to sign in and accept a third party privacy policy to keep using the gamification features (ie, accept rewards or change levels) beyond the tutorial. I think this is a poor choice; there should be an option to keep all of my data on my own device and not have to sign in just to continue using those features, as there is no clear need for doing so. This is why I am rating 4 stars instead of 5. My only other comment on the gamification aspect is that there appears to be no difference between clearing an expired task versus clearing a task on time, which reduces the incentive to finish your list items by a specific date if you choose to set one. Some people may prefer this.
