Lack of Widget
by Bob347hgf on 2020/10/24 19:46
Love the app, but there needs to be a widget for iOS 14 Home Screen !
Great for basic lists
by Raman Pfaff on 2020/10/22 00:59
It's really gotten hard to find a good app for lists/tasks. This one does it for me.
Straight forward
by Gmadda on 2020/10/21 12:44
Intuitive and you can divide up projects by deadlines and by sub tasks. Easy to access across multiple platforms
Inconvenient
by ace_684 on 2020/10/20 17:46
Please combine it with google calendar
Excellent
by sjdemoor85 on 2020/10/20 02:46
Keeps me on task and moving forward! Much appreciated Google
priority settings
by Abtin.na98 on 2020/10/19 07:08
one of the good features that apple’s Reminder app have is priority setting that you can set to high and you will see that reminder on your lock screen till you check it. but in this app when the time of reminder comes, you just receive a normal notification no matter what!
Great for integrating “to-do”s with Gmail
by HuntleyRN on 2020/10/16 13:25
I love that I can create an email in to my to do’s immediately, I only wish Siri would get on board. I’m about to download ask Google so that I can voice command my task list hopefully.
Sweet calendar deadlines!
by Ms. Miyagi on 2020/10/13 01:48
The calendar deadlines make this app.
Notifications not working right away?
by AvengerLE on 2020/10/13 00:08
I did not get any notifications initially for maybe the first 10-30min after install. I didn’t change anything and did start to get notifications later. Weird. Also there is almost no way to sort the tasks, even by time within a day. Setting choices are also poor. Overall not what I expect out of Google, especially for such a simple app.
Another update … still no search
by Liberty53k on 2020/10/12 20:51
No standalone option on desktop?!!!
Multiple list
by gittel f on 2020/10/12 14:51
I like having the ability to create multiple lists all in one easily accessible place.
Only for one list
by Dutiful Dan on 2020/10/11 14:12
Two glaring problems with this app, first there is no way to reorder your lists and second switching between lists requires multiple taps with no gesture. Bottom line is that it feels frustrating to work with.
Great!
by Jeezopete on 2020/10/10 21:36
Please make it shareable
Excellent coordination
by Chan CPA on 2020/10/10 16:39
Similar to Apple Tasks but accessible across platforms via Google. Works seamlessly with G Assistant.
Tasks help stay on track
by soulewoman on 2020/10/10 15:01
I use tasks everyday. Live that I can separate work and home and even specific projects
Easy
by Gü3r@ on 2020/10/10 14:09
It’s an app pretty easy to manage and so useful!
Helping me stay organized!
by Cehein on 2020/10/09 16:13
This is the easiest way for me to have access to things that I need to keep top of mind. I love how it seamlessly integrates with gmail desktop version. I couldn’t be happier with this app!!
This app is amazing
by luckypig48 on 2020/10/08 15:42
its so simple it took me like 3 minutes to figure out how it works. I recommend it fr
There’s no way to search for a task in the app??
by Jafski12 on 2020/10/08 10:09
I couldn’t believe it when I realized after starting to use this app that there’s no way to search by keyword for a task. That’s so elementary! How is that missing??
One more child . . .
by Earth Pearl on 2020/10/07 23:22
Google Tasks which is part of Gmail, has two hierarchies built in: 1 parent task with 1 child indented and nested below. Each allows as many sub tasks as you want. If it allowed another child I’d love it even more! 💮

PLEASE DO THE WIDGET FOR IOS 14
by Jwodowpwosjdej on 2020/10/06 22:40
The widget is desperately needed for this app! Sometimes it’s really hard to manage the tasks here
It’s a normal app
by Hasan_mousavi on 2020/10/03 19:08
If they add a notification widget and badge number, it would be great and 5 star but right know it’s a no go for me
Subtasks
by atkomumuney on 2020/10/03 01:01
Create sub task of a task using tab key just like headings.
Good start
by TruD@T on 2020/10/02 22:17
Very little functionality. I am surprised this is 4 years old and still looks like a first draft/early release. Cons: - Can’t collapse task with dependents - Cant swipe to delete/add to task parent/add date. Only to complete a task - Can’t rearrange the order of items entered - No #tagging - No color coding These were basic functionality I was looking for. One list for all tasks - parent headers with sub task that can be easily rearranged, drag and drop to dates based on availability, and to apply importance level. Fast quick actions to move with me in my busy day. I would also love to see the daily weather for a week at a time that I am planning for to now where I have availability for outdoor tasks. This app seems too slow and can’t manage large amount of tasks. This is more for an elderly person to use to past the time in between sudoku and solitaire.
Google Task is Rudimentary
by EdZw8 on 2020/10/01 20:43
If you want to keep VERY simple task lists it’ll kind of work. You can’t even print a list....
Does not display a notification badge
by Jon A. Hull on 2020/09/29 16:41
I use the app for reminders. Because the app doesn’t display badge notifications, I find that I forget to check the app. If they added this feature, my review would be 5 Stars, but this is a critical oversight.
Gapping and appearance needs work.
by yeah. whatever. on 2020/09/29 04:55
Stacking and appearance is docility time follow. Priority and category would be helpful
Unbelievable. Does not such with Calendar app
by Guitar hacker on 2020/09/28 11:55
It is hard to believe, but, even though Google calendar (on PC) has Tasks, they do not show up on the iOS Google Calendar. As a stand alone app, it is meh. Not integrating with Calendar app is unforgivable.
So far so good! Syncs with Google Calendar (Web)
by Sunny해 on 2020/09/26 08:30
I was worried it wouldn’t sync up but the web version for Google Calendar and this app (Google Tasks) sync up perfectly together. It takes a minute or two to show up, no problem. :) It would be 5/5 if there was a Widget (similar to Apple’s ‘Reminders’ widget). Still good though.
PLEASE ADD TASK SYNC WITH ICAL
by Luna Kodama on 2020/09/24 20:26
if i can schedule it on google calendar, and it shows on desktop for google calendar, it should on ical, too. as well as the ios calendar. i have scheduled tasks every single day that i really wish i could see on my phones calendar without having to go back to my laptop, or if i’m not home it’s just kinda not possible. i’d like to see them in the ios widget as well. i’m confused because the calendar “tasks” where tasks go, doesn’t show on the calendar. PLEEEEEASE add this feature i’ve been waiting years! ha
Reminder Should Have a Sound Indicator
by Nikkinations on 2020/09/23 20:54
Its a nice feature but it would be better to have a sound indicator to remind you of the task. If you’re not looking at your phone you won’t know you have a task to complete.
Doesn’t sync or notify consistently
by UTGrunt on 2020/09/23 16:13
I don’t always get notifications when scheduled, and tapping the “completed” button on a watch notification doesn’t always mark the task as completed in the iPhone app

Worthless if you lose internet access
by Jeff J.2 on 2020/09/22 01:20
I had a big list of things to do today. I got into an area with no internet service and had no way, no how to get to any scrap of anything at all in Google Tasks.

Great for students
by sktpndt on 2020/09/15 19:04
In grad school right now, and Google Tasks has completely replaced my old-school agenda planner. I highly recommend that any student use this app, as it also has integration with google calendar and can be used on desktop as well.

Like many Google products: good enough It lacks any refinement or user-interface design but does what it says. I can think of several improvements but I am only one user screaming into a void.
Simply Amazing
by AmazonianMP on 2020/09/11 06:08
Rather than paying a subscription fee for a productivity/task tracker, Google Task is the simplest and most reliable free version out there. I do hope they’ll be able to make it into a widget. But so far I’m happy with what it offers. Thanks Google.
Great Experience
by OttMan12 on 2020/09/11 04:41
Seamless operation. This app works great and syncs with Tasks from within GMail on desktop, which makes it so convenient to manage what I need to do regardless of where I am.
Can’t Open task on iPad
by lchnt95 on 2020/09/10 23:13
I use task for everything and today i tried to open tasks on my iPad and i opens, but crashes right away. Is there a new software for it? My software on my iPad is fully upadated. Help!
Great app but little heirarchy
by A U.S. US3R on 2020/09/10 15:30
The google tasks app is great. I really enjoyed its simplicity, but I wanted to be able to add a sub task to a sub task. This is the only thing that stops me from giving the full 4 stars.
Needs Snooze option like “Due”
by Big Dyce on 2020/09/07 15:02
It’s cool, but I really need a snooze option. Going back to the Due app.
Deletes my list
by 122747585MPB on 2020/09/07 13:54
I’ve had multiple times that if i leave an item open, while I’m adding details, the the entire item disappears. It’s not in the completed tasks section and I lose the info I’ve noted in that list item.
Too Disorganized in Date Mode
by Glad_e on 2020/09/06 16:04
I downloaded this app thinking, finally, a simple and clean UI that lets me create subtasks with due dates and room for notes. The bad part is when switching to view your list via Due Date. Say you have a sub task with its own due date. It will get separated from the main task and when clicking on it, have no ties to the main task. An example would be having a main task with a client’s name. And the sub task that says “send invoice”. When clicking on the sub task, there’s no indication to who the client is because it doesn’t link to the primary task. So if you have multiple subtasks that say “send invoice”, you wouldn’t know who it’s referring to. I’m back on Trello and it’s much easier. It’s a bummer because I love Google products but this one isn’t there yet.
Very Useful
by jgellman57 on 2020/09/05 17:05
Useful app. Easy to navigate. Links with reminders.
Tasks
by SeekDiscovery on 2020/09/05 14:31
Very user friendly and integrates seamlessly with Google and Apple calendars. Would be 5 stars if I could print full task list.
Great for Online Learning
by jejhshsknd on 2020/09/04 22:30
Absolutely love it, especially doing online learning due to Covid. Just wish you could add subtasks under a repeating task
extremely helpful and convenient
by what is snapchat about on 2020/09/03 23:03
I recently started using Tasks and appreciate the extra help being a busy mom. I would have given it 5 stars but I had a hard time attaching my emails. Starting task & attaching the first time was a breeze. But when I went to attach a second I had no way of sending it. I had to go online & figure out how to do this on my iPhone. I wish it would have given this information when setting up the app., it would have saved time & frustration.
I want to love this app
by brytonmackey on 2020/09/03 09:50
I am also a Apple lover but recently wanting to move from Apple calendar, reminders to google calendar, & tasks. Only thing I wish, is that SIRI was available for google calendar & tasks! I am constantly hands free when I need to get a calendar event done or reminder! I absolutely love not having to punch in all the info when I can just say it & Siri does it for me.
Excellent app!
by Lisaiceland on 2020/09/02 20:42
I’ve tried them all. This is THE todo app. Elegance in simplicity. Thnx Google!
Review
by hshabdid end on 2020/09/02 04:30
Google needs a standalone app or interface for Tasks on PCs
Overall just great
by Gizzie125550 on 2020/09/01 02:54
It’s great. I can write stuff down and check it off when I’m done. It syncs to all my devices almost immediately and keeps me organized. I would like my tasks to be sorted alphabetically but it’s not that hard to just drag it to the spot I want it so it dosent really bother me. It’s easy to make check off and add notes so it’s not a pain to check what I have to do. Definitely a great app I use every day.
No google home / assistant integration?
by Greggerzz on 2020/08/31 13:03
It seems this doesn’t work with google home. When I ask my assistant to add a task it is not added to this app and when I add a task to this app my assistant doesn’t have any idea I added it. So where are the tasks added through my google home put? This fragmentation is confusing.
Google task review
by Hana Like on 2020/08/30 23:29
I use the app to plan my days. I want to be able to see all tasks at once and the ability to record when a task will end.
Tasks should show up in Google calendar on the iPhone
by AshRaggi on 2020/08/30 18:04
Please integrate this. It works on the computer but not the phone. Really frustrating to have to use two apps to stay organized on the go.
Not integrated into the calendar app
by luckym1 on 2020/08/29 05:04
I religiously use tasks on my google calendar on my computer along with reminders and calendar events, google did it right on the browser version. But for some reason they split tasks and the calendar in to two apps so now I miss tasks when looking at just the calendar. The calendar app and the tasks app should be the same app!
Doesn't remind when it's supposed to
by skohty on 2020/08/29 01:13
Great interface and all but there are times when you set a date and time to remind you to do something and it doesn't. Other times it works perfectly and reminds at the right time, but it's not consistent enough. Just be wary for very important deadlines.
Basics ok, missing critical features
by Tasks_User on 2020/08/28 18:35
Export to email or text file is a critical missing feature.
Nice App 👍

Good APP
by IAMDPA on 2020/08/27 00:15
This APP is very easy to use. The reminders APP is changed and is not user friendly at all. I deleted that APP and downloaded this APP and I’m very happy
Tasks and calendar need to be integrated on iphone
by AnneCad on 2020/08/25 13:04
It would be great if the tasks showed up in google calendar.
Functional and mostly smooth
by margehasmittens on 2020/08/24 17:03
Use often, less clunky that gmail interface. Still a bit clunky to move, organize, and outline/tier tasks but has mostly replaced my paper lists.
Simple and easy to setup
by inibawas on 2020/08/21 15:38
The best organized and simple
Needs Notification Sounds
by yeeyeeboissss on 2020/08/20 23:28
No reminder or task app is functional without a notification sound and this is where this app fails. I get a banner in my notification center but no alert sound to go along with it. But I love that I can import my emails into a task! It's easy to write a quick description and set a date/time to be reminded. However, despite the easy to see bullet-point layout and organization there isn't much customization. We can't change the order of tasks manually after creating them, just by date or order the task was created. There should also be an option to add a task reminder for multiple days in a week rather than creating sub tasks to do so. Just fix the notification sound issue and it's a 4 star worthy app!
Great app to perform your day to day
by Guendavienny on 2020/08/20 17:50
Do you want daily achievements, set daily goals 🔥💯👌🏻 You want to be more efficiently? Want to achieve and complete that goals you thought about? This app would definitely make your life better, would reduce your worries, if your worried & stress about problems that you need to fix. Dividing big problems into small tasks will make things much more easy. If you want to achieve that goals that your always dreaming about, thinking on. Now is the time, write down a plan, set up steps do, and guess what make daily “tasks”. Big changes start with small changes. By making simple things as clean up the mess, making your bed, would encourage you to make bigger changes. And this is the app to make those changes. #ChangeYourLife #Success

Master list
by SDeBoth on 2020/08/20 04:45
Why is there no master list? Why must I go through all my different lists to see what is due today? Why doesn’t it integrate with the Calendar app?
Need a reminder for the reminder
by Good timo on 2020/08/18 16:54
It would be nice if yah add an alarm to set for the task, that would be helpful. I like the app but Im missing my task
Needs some updates
by MH Minto on 2020/08/18 16:20
This app is perfect with a lot of options. But it just doesn’t appear in your widgets which would be a great update. Hope that google adds this option too
Great app for keeping track of my knitting and needlework
by countingthreads on 2020/08/16 16:34
I use this app for many different things. I’ve created several lists for the various types of crafts I do. It’s been a great way to track both active and planned projects, as well as household and business tasks. I absolutely love this app. I’ve tried many different kinds, but this is by far the best I’ve tried. The only reason I gave a four instead of five is that recurring tasks don’t show up again until the day they are scheduled again. I like seeing all upcoming tasks including repeating tasks. That’s the only change I would make if I were asked how to improve.
Pretty Good so far
by DOLPHIN2121 on 2020/08/15 19:30
I just started using this a few hours ago and they are already asking for a review so this is just a pretty early review I’m not really sure how well this works what I don’t like about it is the fact that you have to link it with your Google account which means there’s less of your information that’s private and I’m not sure how much they’re sharing information with other companies that’s what I don’t like about it what I do like about it is that it’s free and it does seem to be working well
Notifications don’t work correctly
by AleshaLee on 2020/08/14 16:34
I only downloaded this because I wanted to attach emails to tasks. It’s turning out to be more of a pain in the rear than it’s worth. I get ONE notification of the task...the badge icon has never worked.
How bout some basic integration
by Rottenweiler on 2020/08/14 13:58
I get it I’m one dude that this rating will go un noticed but come on Google. How about deploying basic integration. It seems like there is a todo or task option in Keep, Gmail assistant and Calendar and when entering a todo or task in to any of those apps they don’t carry over to any other app and now there is a tasks app that doesn’t integrate with any of it. If we enter a task in this app it should immediately post to the other apps including assistant. Google home should be able to see it and play an alert over the speaker. There are just too many random features of so many Google products that just don’t integrate with one another. It took forever to find reminders i set in assistant because they don’t show anywhere but by going literally in to profile then selecting reminders. It’s pretty silly
Easy to use, but has basic flaws
by Parker Hoye on 2020/08/10 22:37
Not has good as Apple’s Reminders. I generally like the Tasks app, but it has a couple basic flaws that *seem* like easy fixes: (1) there are not “push” notifications on tasks with due dates and uncompleted tasks don’t stay on your lock screen(I would assume this is a bug or something ), and (2) it does not have a “today” view, or a view that shows you all the items due today (you can only view by individual task list).

LIFE SAVER
by mjpeyton on 2020/08/03 02:20
From Google Calendar, to my Gmail account, to Google Tasks, I love Google. I would have gotten fired from my job by now without Google. Tasks help keep me so organized! I wake up at 2 am and add a task that I forgot needed to be done, and I’m confident it will show up for me to view and get done the next morning. I could not live without it!!

Google tasks
by Lisa Schutzer on 2020/07/31 21:12
Very helpful to be able to automatically ass to task list. Just started using and I will continue with it.
Pressing enter
by amtryyqq on 2020/07/31 17:28
My biggest issue is when you create your task and press enter it creates a blank task below it so you end up having link tasks throughout the list. Which then you need to highlight to clear. An unnecessary glitch.
Love Tasks. Needs Notes & Calendar integrations!
by thebasispoint on 2020/07/31 17:20
I love Tasks and hope Google keeps pushing to develop it to integrate better to Calendar and Keep. I quite like the simplicity — it’s mostly just a checklist for me, and I like that you can also add deadlines and notes that are contained within Tasks. But sometimes I wish I could have the Tasks deadline show on my calendar automatically. And sometimes when my Tasks notes get longer I wish I could convert those to Notes—and I would LOVE if I could push a Task note to a pre-existing note in Notes. Is this possible?
Simple and seamless!
by cjaliotta on 2020/07/31 13:11
While there are plenty of robust and multifunctional task management apps out there, I love the clean, easy way that Gtasks gets the job done. Flawless cooperation with other Google apps and attractive, minimalistic styling save me time and keep my to-do's ever within eye's reach.
Hey Google Tasks....
by Tyler elyse on 2020/07/30 03:05
You rock. I absolutely love this app and use it for all of my to-do lists! It makes completing the task itself much more satisfying.
One major flaw
by Brainydoc on 2020/07/29 11:01
Google tasks is okay but has one major flaw. Unlike Reminders which are integrated with calendar and can be viewed within the calendar, tasks are not. That is a major irritation because it requires switching back and forth between two apps. I am tempted to going back to using Reminders for that reason. The day Google integrates Tasks into Calendar, it will get my 5 Stars.
So convenient
by AuntieBeeSLP on 2020/07/27 18:16
Why didn’t I realize that I could do the tasks on my phone? I always thought I had to go to my computer. This is a game changer.
Beautiful, long-awaited app, fulfills my wishlist
by vicky.txt on 2018/04/27 14:30
I was very excited to learn that Google Tasks was finally available as an app yesterday, so I downloaded it right away and was pleased by the simplicity and functionality. I wonder what took so long. It is super satisfying to watch the to-do list item "pop" away when you check off the bubble. I can switch between my personal and work accounts. It remembers the specific list I selected to view last and loads that one vs. requiring me to change it each time. Previously, I had been using a mix of my Google calendar, another calendar app only for its tasks feature, the iPhone reminders app, and an old-school index card to combine all the specific features I like from each. I am glad this app helps sync some of that up in one central place now ☺️
Simple and concise
by JohnathonSullinger on 2018/05/23 03:07
This app is really simple and clutter free. I’m not bogged down by a ton of different options that make things confusing and difficult. No need to “build a system”, since it’s just Lists and tasks. If you like Apple Reminders, Microsoft Todo or Clear, this app will be great for you. If you’re looking for the flexibility of Omnifocus or the structure/filtering of Todoist then probably not. It’s free though, and integrates with my Google Calendar and GMail so desktop support is available on all platforms essentially. Not so much for OmniFocus and some of the other iOS task apps (Apple only). I can work on my tasks while on my work computer (Windows) while adding on my iPhone when in a meeting. I would love to see Google search in the app. Search by the context of what I’m doing and have their AI recommend tasks to work on based on my availability or context. Any kind of search would be better than no search. Otherwise, it’s a good app. I’ll be using this instead of renewing my Todoist.
Doesn’t Sync, Obvious Features Missing
by Jennifergoble on 2020/04/16 15:22
I love Tasks for a to do list, and despite the issues, I use it for work. I don’t have a lot of time in my busy day to plan, so it would be great if my phone would sync to my PC. It often doesn’t, and my list is out dated, useless. I’ll add a task on my phone, then it doesn’t show up on my PC. I just use the PC list now. This app is a waste of phone space, but I would love to use it for the notification feature alone, if it would only sync. I’m a sped teacher with timelines for paperwork that happen over and over through out the year as I complete them for each student. I would love to be able to make a list that I can check off and regenerate easily all at once. Some things are due a month out, then 3 weeks out, the day before, etc. I hate how subtasks don’t stay with the main task when sorted by date as I need to focus on items with the closest deadline. There should be a search feature as well to quickly find something when I’m not sure which list it’s on or I completed it but want to reuse/uncheck it. Still better than buying a planner.
Please add a way to search for tasks
by Taygraf on 2019/03/20 11:07
I have been using Google Tasks within Google Calendar for years. It’s ability to layer tasks on my calendar made it my task management tool of choice over all others since I use Google Calendar every day. I needed a way to access, add to & edit my tasks on the go, like on the subway, when I think about things I have to do & process my lists. Because Google didn’t have an app, I used GTasks. When Google finally came out with this app I was so excited. I am completely shocked, however, that there is no search feature. This is essential and it seems pretty obviously from an end user work flow standpoint that this would be necessary. When I am thinking about a particular task that I know I have put on one of my lists and want to find it to add to it or adjust the due date; it doesn’t make sense that I have to manually search through hundreds of tasks to find it. That is inefficient. Isn’t the purpose of technology to make things faster & easier.
Great for quick use, but pretty limited capabilities.
by Bland Nickname on 2020/01/07 04:03
I use this app to list urgent tasks (whereas I use Google Keep to log tasks that aren’t necessarily timely). I like that it is simple and straightforward for this purpose; I can quickly add and cross off new tasks. It is a bit cumbersome at times. I liked the idea that I could add sub-tasks, but you can’t check then off if you are clicked on the master task in edit mode; you can only delete the sub-task entirely or complete the master task, but makes the sub-task capability kind of pointless. Thus, I stopped using sub-tasks. My feed is now very full and unorganized, which is a bummer. One other complaint is that you can’t add a voice memo like you can on Keep. I do think this app has a lot of potential, though, and Google does a good job of making reasonable updates without too much time passing by, in my opinion. I assume it will be adjusted to fit these criteria in the bear future.
Perfect app for my organization obsession
by Happygoluckylaura on 2019/06/15 11:11
This app is a great addition to my life. Previously, I would carry around a daily planner for all my to do lists, reminders, and appointments. It was really inconvenient if I didn’t have it with me or even if it was on a different floor of my house. Tasks, paired with Google Calendar, has managed to replace that and I can utilize this organization system on both the computer and my phone. It’s easy to add additional details, like location and set reminders before appointments. It’s different than other to do list apps that I’ve used because it allows you to easily categorize lists. For example, I have one for work, one for my personal life, one for household handyman tasks I’d like to have done, one for wedding planning, etc. This app gets 4 stars because there is currently a glitch that I can’t delete lists.
Love it! (Excited for continuous improvement)
by Cay-o on 2020/06/14 23:40
Love Google Tasks. My husband and I use the Google Suite of products for all of our personal and professional resources, to-do’s, and projects. We run a small business and we’re having a difficult time trying to find a tool that would help us keep track of day-to-day items. We tried Trello, Wunderlist, Asana, and more. All were beautiful but more than what we needed. Along came Google Tasks and it was the simplicity and design that fit our needs. Now we use it for everything! The only wishlist item I have for the developers would be to have a search bar so I could easily go to the task I was looking for (similar to the functionality in Google Keep.) Other than that, bravo!
Simplistic and that’s a good thing.
by acbimmer on 2020/06/17 05:55
The app is very similar and to the point which is perfect for tasks. One thing that could be improved is the UI. The hamburger menu button should be accessible by a gesture swipe from the left side of the screen. Or remove the hamburger menu button completely and replace with a bottom UI bar that everyone is using now. It will be more accessible to all folks versus right hand or left hand dominant users. The create task button is in a different place from other google apps as well which is a little confusing, but not a huge gripe. The last issue I find is the inability to view multiple lists at once. I constantly have to click the menu button and switch lists and that drives me absolutely bonkers.
Reuse a list
by AC Slatter on 2018/09/05 15:56
I love this app and have been telling everyone about since I discovered it! The only thing I would find REALLY helpful is to be able to make a list that I can re-use over and over. For example I would love to have a master grocery list that I could check off and then when I leave the store, uncheck or reuse the same list for the next visit. I’ve also used this for bills, and would like to do the same thing with that list instead of creating it over again each month. Maybe there’s a way to do this that I haven’t figured out yet, but if there’s not this would be an AMAZING feature to add on the next update! Otherwise I highly recommended this app 😊
Better than reminders
by haneuloh on 2019/06/13 19:21
I was waiting for google tasks to get updates which would allow dates/times so I can replace Apple reminders with it. Now that is has all that, I absolutely love it, being able to have it connected to my email account regardless of which device I’m using. However, few little fixes would be great. I like to have my tasks listed in order of date, but when I choose this setting, the order of time is not reflected. I feel like the point of this setting is to have everything in chronological order. Once that is fixed, it should feel even more organized. Also, I feel like the time should show on the side of each task without me having to click on them.
Solid app needs a few more features
by Absolutextasi on 2018/08/15 17:29
I used to use Wunderlist and since Microsoft biught them out and not released anything with significance, I’ve been look for another app. Well, i just upgraded to the new google and I saw this really simple app. It’s a great start, but it would be helpful to put things on repeat in the same way the calendar app is used where you can repeat tasks every week or every 1st Monday of the month etc. Also, it would help if we could share this app with other people we may be working with. Other things; To have a comment section would be nice. To be able to have printable lists would be really great as well. Wunderlist even had a place where people could vote on features and create ideas where people could vote which allowed developers to know where to focus as they followed what their dedicated users wanted. That would be an amazing feature as we could know that our voice counts. There are some more things, but maybe you can start with these. I will move my rating to 5 stars when I start seeing these things integrated. Thanks for what you have so far
Very simple scaled back beginning
by Seanbhappy on 2018/04/25 22:14
Ok, so it’s not great...yet. It is a very simple list concept for tasks they includes sub task, scheduling by date, very reminiscent of iOS reminders just more elegant and usable. I am giving four stars because it’s a far cry of what it could be and should be, no Google assistant yet, no connecting to Google calendar and Google Reminders and Google Keep...yet. Read a good article that had this quote to sum it up... According to David Pierce of The Wall Street Journal, Google is apparently working on this: "At some point, Google says it’ll combine Tasks and Reminders, through all the many Google apps, into one killer task manager," Pierce said on Twitter. "Today is not that day."
Simple, minimal, & clean
by stschnatz on 2019/09/27 18:10
Searched for an easy to-do list app all my life with utter disappointment until Google Tasks. Basic, yet functional and able to meet all of my needs; although, I would appreciate 2 minor glitch fixes: 1) the ability to edit my tasks/subtasks (rather than having to delete the task entirely and re-type tasks & subtasks from scratch), as well as 2) filing subtasks under the corresponding task with the correct date (currently, subtasks appear at the very bottom under “no date,” although stored under a task with a set date).
Want to love it - not there just yet
by MrKernicus on 2019/05/24 04:26
As an personal iOS and Windows user at work, I use Google for literally "all the things." Being cross platform is absolutely critical, which is why I don't/can't rely soly on things like Apple Reminders, Notes, etc. Google tasks is clearly the way forward, but I need a few more things for it to be a full Reminders or Todoist replacement. First off, simple badges for overdue tasks would be super helpful. At a glance from the homescreen, I need something to stand out. Either there, or permenantly affixed to the iOS lock screen. Would also love task labels and filters if possible. I'm confident this product/service will eventually get there, just today it's not on the same plane as Google's other apps. Fingers crossed!
FINALLY a to-do app that works for me!
by Flora Fairfield on 2019/07/08 05:10
I love this app. Clean user interface, ability to make multiple lists of tasks, rearrange order, add sub tasks to a task, and schedule tasks. You can also move a task from one list to another easily (I do this by starting the week putting all my tasks in a “this week” list, and then on a daily basis moving some to the “today” list.) I also love that I can see the tasks in my gmail browser on the computer! Would highly recommend. A feature request - ability to collapse/expand the subtasks of a task would be awesome!
Tasks for business is fantastic!
by CEO- G on 2018/09/23 17:28
I love Google Tasks and I am happy that they now have an app. The best feature is that when I’ve created a task from my work g-mail on my computer, I can now click on the email link within the Task app and it automatically opens up that email in my Gmail app on my phone. This way I get the same user experience on my phone as I do on my computer. I just wished I had the option to create a task with an e-mail from within the gmail app. This would definitely make it a mobile experience with the Task and Gmail apps. Thanks!
How Google Tasks made me a better student
by rikhavs on 2020/05/15 13:49
I always would lose track of my assignments or what was due when, and because I understood the material, I felt really stupid to be losing points because of missing assignments. One day while checking my assignments, my dad introduced Google Tasks. He created a checklist to manage my assignments and it has been very helpful ever since! I now prioritize my time much better, and I can always check back at the Task List whenever I need to. I love this app!
Amazing, please add a widget!
by TankBoy7373 on 2020/01/01 17:28
App works just as you would expect it to, including all the GSuite integrations! However, PLEASE add a widget for my home screen so I can check off tasks quickly and easily. Allow me to set a default list to display and have the option to quickly switch between my lists, as well as show tasks for the day amoungst all lists so I can check them off easily as I go. Tasks Dev team, I believe in you. Add this feature and I couldn't ask for anything more. I see this app doesn't get many updates, please prioritize this for the next release!
Reminders? Or Tasks?
by Dawsonfp on 2020/02/05 00:01
The only problem here is that when you set a reminder with the Google Assistant, it doesn’t go to Tasks... or any Reminder app dedicated for them. It stays inside the Assistant app or can be viewed on Google Calendar. They should go to 1 place and 1 place only: Google Tasks. As soon as that is the case, this is an easy 5 star. It would be 2 or 3 stars but they make it very simple to import Reminders from the Assistant into Tasks so I give them credit there too. But again, that should be automatically done for all reminders made through the Google Assistant.
Good but needs improvement IMHO
by Photoshopman1972 on 2020/02/21 13:28
I am trying Google Tasks to help me maybe fix what Apple broke in the last updates. I like the features that the app has however it is not a very good player with the Apple ecosystem nor does it have all the features that would really make this a useful app. Before everyone jumps my mess, allow me to elaborate. With the later iOS versions especially with iPadOS, the ability to drag and drop is sorely missing with the Google apps! This makes some tasks harder to do with this and other apps. Got spoiled on that feature! The IMHO opinion is a GLARING missing feature is the ability to see EVERYTHING that is due today throughout your lists! You cannot see more than one list at a time and in my case, I need a few different lists to keep the mess organized. Especially I need to use a program like this to keep my memory good with things like meds. Maybe Google can fix this soon or I’ll just uninstall it and go back to what Apple broke.
Simple and Fast, but Lacking a few Key features
by cjsanchez94 on 2018/08/18 14:27
Great app. Already deleted all the other planner apps. Please take this feedback into consideration: - Make switching between lists easier, such as a force press right or left swipe, or a tab menu (where the current "list title" is) that will display recently used 2-3 lists. - Allow the lists the communicate with one another. For example, users might want to move a task from one list to another (or simply add a task to multiple lists) and not have to manually insert it multiple times. - Add a widget (this is a big one) so IOS users can access from home screen shortcut. - Under the Add Details, provide an option for users to predict how long each task will take (this would help tremendously for people trying to use a list as a daily planner and task list). If you take any or all of these suggestions into consideration it would be greatly appreciated.
Note Feature
by Chris B in MN on 2020/01/22 13:00
I really love the ability to link an email to the task, as I am using Tasks in G Suite to create an action list for my boss from emails received on our public contact email. It works very smoothly. While I am able to add instructions or ask a question in the task details, it would be great if there were a way for him to easily add a note or comment back from within the task. Is this a possible add or does it already exist? Otherwise...love this tool. Thank-you!
One problem
by Corey or Georgia on 2020/04/27 19:16
I like this app but there’s one problem for me. Whenever I’m on google tasks, I tend to look at task by its date. Yes, it’s good but lots of times, I add a specific time like Monday at 11 pm. The problem is that the 11 pm doesn’t show up unless I click on that specific task. And for me, most of my tasks don’t have specific times, just a date. And for the ones I do add with a specific time 11 or 12 pm, I forget them and when I actually check it, Im already late. Can you add a option to add the time (like 11:39 am or 5:28 pm) to the date label, not just the date?
Clean and simple - 2 recommendations
by SBUX Mocha on 2020/04/06 14:52
I switched to this after I saw the beloved Wonderlist will be decommissioned. This task app is nice in that it is clean and simple to use. Two recommendations are 1) integrate with Google family like as with the Calendar. My family used Wanderlist to share and keep track of tasks. I cannot share the tasks here. 2) show all upcoming tasks by day, week, or month. I’m constantly worried that somehow my recurring tasks have been dropped since I don’t see them until they pop up. Need to be able to fire and forget - not worry if something critical has be dropped from the list (perhaps due to user input error) and then not get done.
Not Useful Yet
by Talkingmountain on 2018/06/07 01:11
The UI is decent and intuitive, but the app (as well as the web based Google Tasks) still lacks 4 incredibly basic but critical functionalities: 1. Needs to have a multi-task editing (aka “bulk editing”). I.e. the user can select several tasks and perform the same edit to them (e.g. change due date, change Priority, move to a different list, etc). 2. Needs the ability to add notes/updates to a task (e.g. for a task to “Call John,” can add note “left voicemail on date xx/xx/xxxx.” 3. Needs landscape format for iPad use. 4. Needs recurring tasks. If all you need is a simple to-do List, google tasks might be a great fit for you But for those of us who use Google as our business environment, we really need a better task app. I’ve shelled out a lot of money to try dozens of them and they all end up being too complicated, quirky, or don’t meld well w Google. Google Tasks has a rare opportunity to fill a much-needed niche, if they will make the task a little more sophisticated without going overboard into complexity.
Because
by sorry4ever on 2018/08/21 18:18
5 Stars because it’s very easy to use, fun to use, very useful and quick as lightning to add tasks and to do lists; and you can create separate lists with categories; so helpful and handy. One wish I have is to be able to print out my lists. But that might make the size of the app larger, so maybe not. One other thing that I love about the app is the fact that it doesn’t take up a lot of space on any of my devices. So there, that’s how I feel about it. Thanks.
My favorite task app
by nn747 on 2018/08/09 04:46
This is my favorite task app and very similar to apple reminders. It will sync with your gmail sidebar Task if signed in to the same account. It is very simple and easy to use. I don’t like task apps that are full of unnecessary features. Many people complain that this app is too simple. They should delete this app right away and download other competing task apps. Google should keep this app as it is. Please don’t add any other features that will make it clunky and difficult to use.
Extremely useful
by St1ac2ey3 on 2020/06/08 15:08
The tasks let me take things from emails that I need to do and make tasks out of them. When I set due dates it pops up on my phone as a reminder. That is very helpful. I put the app on my phone and I really like I can create separate task categories. It’s very simple to use without all the extra bells and whistles I don’t need. I do like that I can add notes to tasks. And best of all it’s part of gmail and is free. Does what all the paid task apps do.
extremely helpful and convenient
by what is snapchat about on 2020/09/03 23:03
I recently started using Tasks and appreciate the extra help being a busy mom.
Want to love it!
by P Cape on 2020/02/27 16:38
I would love to have a checklist app like this that syncs with my google account and is reliable. This is almost there! I have lots of repeat tasks that happen weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually and they must be done on time. That’s why I add them to an app to remind me. With this app when I check an item off as being completed, I get a pop up saying “Completed now. Will repeat next week.” HOWEVER, it never shows up on the list again. I’m still using my previous app to stay on task, but don’t want to give up on this google one. Please fix this glitch!!
Almost there
by Jesserhaywood on 2018/09/02 11:43
I love the simplicity in design but it's a little too simple in function which in turn makes it not that useful. I could carry around field notes in my back pocket rather than use this app because they have the same function. It should be simply smart, not just simple. If a task could have a time reminder on it, that would be extremely useful. Also, if it would sync to the tasks section in Google calendar that would be extremely helpful as well. If those two features were included, then it would receive 5 stars.
Missing option to automatically add new items to bottom of list.
by Tv723 on 2020/03/30 22:41
The only thing keeping this app from a five star review, is the fact that the app seems to be missing the option to add tasks to the bottom of the list. You can only add by date or “my order” where it gets automatically added to the top of the list. I’d like to be able to list my tasks in chronological order. But i suppose i can just read from the bottom of the list up. It’s a small thing
Needs more integration with the rest of Google products
by aletsar on 2019/03/19 22:19
Good update with addition of start dates for tasks. Honestly, you should also add an app badge counter and the ability to snooze the reminder for 15, 30, 60 minutes, or Later Today options. Google Reminders needs to integrate with Tasks in order to make it more useful. Also, Tasks needs to become integrated into Google Calendar app, so that tasks can be added from within the Calendar app and viewed on the agenda based on the due date.
No nearly ready for release..
by Chefclean on 2018/04/29 22:02
I’m just wondering what was going through the developers head- and Apples for thus matter- when they decided to release this garbage. To begin with, the syncing issues are very good. When you add a task online ( I did mine through my Google Email, which is pretty cool) it goes right to your phone. That’s about the only good thing there is about thus app. You can add sub tasks but cannot collapse the task. No widget notification. All of my folders have downloaded in the wrong order and have been repeated at least five times. The UI is horrible and cheap looking. I could go on and on but I just want to delete this thing and go back to my old way of tasking.
UNBELIEVEABLE
by druefro on 2018/04/26 20:22
I have been using tasks with my gmail and google calendar for a long time, and there was no easy way to get the tasks onto your phone. I tried the 3rd party apps, which I paid $5 for and then $6/month for an incredibly mediocre app. I use tasks for everyday stuff and to keep track of assignments. Now, this works flawlessly with my google calendar and gmail and I can add or complete tasks at my whim. Thanks SO MUCH for listening google, I’m so excited and happy!!
Wish it offered sub-sub tasks also
by cacofonix1 on 2018/07/15 21:16
I have been looking for a task/outliner with the ability to create an alarm at any level. This is a nice clean app. I like the month calendar that pops up vs Apple’s Scroll Wheels which I detest. It lets me create an outline but only one level deep. Love the fact that I can access my tasks via desktop/web Need ability for left swipe that shows multiple options - Delete, move, Edit Date etc Completing a sub task should only check it off. Not make it go away. The relationship to the parent task needs to be maintained. This app is childish. Look at ActionTree. Meld the two together and I will be happy.
The best for productivity! Perfect for college!

Honestly, this is the best app for productivity. It easily syncs with google calendar and allows you to pick dates for each task (including sub tasks). This is perfect for juggling assignments in college. I love how I can easily create a step by step project and label its time frame. The app is very easy to use, as well as the web component. The only thing that would make it better would be the option of picking colors for tasks! Thanks google! :)
As simple as organization could possibly be.
by By David Achter on 2019/10/05 14:23
I started using this app to keep track of my school projects; since this year I’m getting bombarded with them. It’s a very simple way to keep track of what’s due and when. It’s helping me NOT procrastinate. The reason I gave it 4 stars was because I found no way to add something from your Google Drive to the task. With many of my projects being on the Drive, this is a feature I would appreciate. Other than that, great app!
Like Siplicity in the app, but in a way too I would like just a bit more features
by Midknightnight on 2018/09/29 05:05
I like the minimalist approach to the app. I like the button layout, how easy it is to use, and how it is integrated with Google calendar on the desktop website I would love to have some features though 1. A dark or grey mode or a different color mode 2. A way to have Google calendar be a button on the interface. I wish I don't have to exit the app with extra clicks to see how to plan out my day without overlooking some events 3. A way to make time scheduling or time chunking a day more easy. I use it mainly to say what time I will do what activity 4. A way to hold or underline text just by highlighting words and tapping 5. To be able to compact sub lists and expand them in a task list by tapping g the main name of the list 6.adding more subs to the items 7. Adding a feature to send email, reminders , or alarms
Pretty Good so far
by DOLPHIN2121 on 2020/08/15 19:30
I just started using this a few hours ago and they are already asking for a review so this is just a pretty early review I’m not really sure how well this works what I don’t like about it is the fact that you have to link it with your Google account which means there’s less of your information that’s private and I’m not sure how much they’re sharing information with other companies that’s what I don’t like about it what I do like about it is that it’s free and it does seem to be working well
Great start but woefully limited in features
by HappyHowell on 2018/05/17 02:39
Tasks is a beautifully designed and very functional app. It’s intuitive, quick, and a joy to use. It is seriously lacking in features, though- no ability to share task lists with others, no ability to tag or label tasks, and no ability to set a time for reminders. This also does not appear to sync with the reminders in google calendar, which would be enormously logical. A really excellent start, but needs further development before it can be used as a serious task app- especially when it comes to GSuite members.
Three stars for lack of day at a glance
by sharlynora on 2020/04/29 14:34
This app is pretty great; easy to use. My only reason for giving three stars is that you can’t view all tasks with today’s due date in one spot. You have to toggle between your various lists in order to view all of today’s tasks. For that matter, I would like to preview all of tomorrow’s tasks. But can’t do that either. If they were to update the app with the ability to put all of the tasks with today’s date all in one spot, I would happily change my rating to 5 stars.

Lack of Widget
by Bob347hgf on 2020/10/24 19:46
Love the app, but there needs to be a widget for iOS 14 Home Screen !
Great for basic lists
by Raman Pfaff on 2020/10/22 00:59
It's really gotten hard to find a good app for lists/tasks. This one does it for me.
Straight forward
by Gmadda on 2020/10/21 12:44
Intuitive and you can divide up projects by deadlines and by sub tasks. Easy to access across multiple platforms
Inconvenient

priority settings
by Abtin.na98 on 2020/10/19 07:08
one of the good features that apple’s Reminder app have is priority setting that you can set to high and you will see that reminder on your lock screen till you check it. but in this app when the time of reminder comes, you just receive a normal notification no matter what!
Great for integrating “to-do”s with Gmail
by HuntleyRN on 2020/10/16 13:25
I love that I can create an email in to my to do’s immediately, I only wish Siri would get on board. I’m about to download ask Google so that I can voice command my task list hopefully.
Sweet calendar deadlines!
by Ms. Miyagi on 2020/10/13 01:48
The calendar deadlines make this app.
Notifications not working right away?
by AvengerLE on 2020/10/13 00:08
I did not get any notifications initially for maybe the first 10-30min after install. I didn’t change anything and did start to get notifications later. Weird. Also there is almost no way to sort the tasks, even by time within a day. Setting choices are also poor. Overall not what I expect out of Google, especially for such a simple app.
Another update … still no search
by Liberty53k on 2020/10/12 20:51
No standalone option on desktop?!!!
Multiple list
by gittel f on 2020/10/12 14:51
I like having the ability to create multiple lists all in one easily accessible place.
Only for one list
by Dutiful Dan on 2020/10/11 14:12
Two glaring problems with this app, first there is no way to reorder your lists and second switching between lists requires multiple taps with no gesture. Bottom line is that it feels frustrating to work with.
Great!
by Jeezopete on 2020/10/10 21:36
Please make it shareable
Excellent coordination

Similar to Apple Tasks but accessible across platforms via Google. Works seamlessly with G Assistant.

Worthless if you lose internet access
by Jeff J.2 on 2020/09/22 01:20

by sktpndt on 2020/09/15 19:04

Simply Amazing
by AmazonianMP on 2020/09/11 06:08
Rather than paying a subscription fee for a productivity/task tracker, Google Task is the simplest and most reliable free version out there. I do hope they’ll be able to make it into a widget. But so far I’m happy with what it offers. Thanks Google.
Great Experience
by OttMan12 on 2020/09/11 04:41
Seamless operation. This app works great and syncs with Tasks from within GMail on desktop, which makes it so convenient to manage what I need to do regardless of where I am.
Can’t Open task on iPad
by lchnt95 on 2020/09/10 23:13

I’ve tried them all. This is THE todo app. Elegance in simplicity. Thnx Google!

Functional and mostly smooth
by margehasmittens on 2020/08/24 17:03

Very useful..

LIFE SAVER
by mjpeyton on 2020/08/03 02:20
From Google Calendar, to my Gmail account, to Google Tasks, I love Google. I would have gotten fired from my job by now without Google. Tasks help keep me so organized! I wake up at 2 am and add a task that I forgot needed to be done, and I’m confident it will show up for me to view and get done the next morning. I could not live without it!!
Great app

No distractions

I love that google task enables me to view my important emails without the distraction of other emails or social media sites. It’s saves me a tremendous amount of time daily. Consequently, I can get not only more done, but accomplish more of the truly important tasks.

Great app to perform your day to day

"Today is not that day."

by stschnatz on 2019/09/27 18:10
Searched for an easy to-do list app all my life with utter disappointment until Google Tasks.

Because

I recently started using Tasks and appreciate the extra help being a busy mom. I would have given it 5 stars but I had a hard time attaching my emails. Starting task & attaching the first time was a breeze. But when I went to attach a second I had no way of sending it. I had to go online & figure out how to do this on my iPhone. I wish it would have given this information when setting up the app., it would have saved time & frustration.
Want to love it!

Perfect for college!
by M: zee music girl on 2019/08/21 17:25
Honestly, this is the best app for productivity. :)
As simple as organization could possibly be.
