Description
Isoland 2 - Ashes of Time is a truly artistic adventure puzzle game. Experience a unique fusion of captivating puzzles, a philosophical parable and lighthearted storytelling that will transport you to a beautiful hand-drawn island filled with wonders. Embark on a fascinating journey through time and space, discover traces of a lost civilization, and tinker with mysterious machinery to unveil long forgotten secrets. On Isoland, you will need to find your own pace and your own approach to solving the mysteries ahead. The citizens of the little island you find yourself on will happily share their thoughts with you, and you may be surprised what they have to say about life and the universe. Listen to their stories and help them solve their problems, and you can be sure they will help you with your tasks, too. The non-linear game play allows you to decide for yourself what puzzle to solve, what person to talk to and what item to use at any given time. Take a stroll around town and keep your eyes open, and you may just stumble over the hint you had been missing. And if you don't, why not travel back in time and see if what you are looking for can be found in ancient times? Isoland awaits you - Go visit this enchanted island and find the truths it's hiding. **FEATURES** - beautiful hand-drawn artwork - non-linear gameplay - intelligent plot transcending time and space - mind-soothing soundtrack - NPCs that share their philosophy with you - achievement system, hidden achievements and NewGame+ - easter eggs all over the place
Fun, fair, clever

Crisp, entertaining, delightful game. I almost used a walkthrough but it was all fair in the end, I had done Isoland 1 which helped.
Semi-worthy sequel
by Bobbystiych13 on 2020/08/05 16:40
A bit harder to follow than the first, and the puzzles are much, much harder. Looks, sounds and plays exactly like the first one though, which makes it worth playing if you liked that one.
Extremely enjoyable
by Elpida15 on 2020/05/23 20:28
I really like this Group’s work ...the reference to Gattaca the movie ..or rather text from same was a lovely touch .Look forward to playing more. Well done😷
I cried when it was over - thanks Covid

I don’t usually get much from my games, I play them mindlessly and enjoy them at face value but 2020 has been hard. The little message at the ending encouraged me to keep going on a day that’s been really tough. Thanks for making such a special and thoughtful game. I look forward to Isoland 3 <3
Redundant
by Kgamr on 2020/04/06 02:21
I played the first Isoland and had to replay to get the real ending. Played this one, the sequel, and you have to play it all over again too?!? Ugh, I really don’t want to have to do all those puzzles again. I deleted it after googling a walkthrough and seeing what the real ending is; not worth my time.
Great little game! Worth it.
by Brion Riborn on 2019/11/09 20:06
Lots of puzzles and a good story. Totally worth the money. Also, love the Gattaca reference at the end! Great movie and great little game! Keep it up.
Thumbs Up
by Gary Seven on 2019/04/10 23:14
The puzzles hit the sweet point where they’re not too easy and not too hard. Got a couple of nights of play and was able to complete both play-throughs without needing any clues.
Isoland 3!

Great way to kill some time

Puzzle games shouldn’t be impossible and, in my opinion, should give you a break from the real world. Isoland’s cute graphics and puzzles are a great way to relax. I really enjoyed this game.
Great challenge
by DluxV on 2019/01/21 15:37
This was a great game. I really enjoyed that it was a lot more challenging than most puzzle games and it was actually a pretty good length. It took a lot of going back and forth to different areas on map to find the answers to the puzzles. Awesome drawings and cool atmosphere and mystery.
Great game!!
by Hussyboy on 2018/08/24 13:47
I truly never write reviews, however I feel like I must for this game. At first glance, the art alone of isoland and isoland 2 is unique and very interesting. Once you dig into the game, you’ll find that these games are fun, sometimes quite challenging, and will get you thinking about the each character and how they fit into the larger puzzle. Support this game people! You won’t regret it! Also I hope a third isoland is made!!!
Love it
by Feline Muse on 2018/08/03 06:52
Please make an Isoland 3 and 4! I didn’t care to start over in order to see a different ending but I enjoyed the first time through immensely. Just the right amount of difficulty.
As great as before
by Uncle Fecal on 2018/07/28 19:14
I hope that’s not the end of the story guys! I’ll gladly play another. Lotta fun.
Game Crashes
by Derp127 on 2018/07/25 19:46
I was stuck in the middle of the game so I tried buying a hint coin or whatever and now when I try to open the app it crashes and won’t let mr do anything
No coin received!
by i_7amza on 2018/07/23 18:03
I have bought one coin to get a hint, but after I pay the $0.99, the game quit instantly. And now it crashes each time I open the game! I tried installing the game on my 10.5-inch iPad Pro, the game runs ok, but no coin received! My device is iPhone X with iOS 11.4.1 Once this is fixed, I will rate it 4.5/5
Highly recommend

Great game but I’m stuck
by Speedyalmex on 2018/07/12 14:42
I just bought it yesterday and I’m addicted already but I’m stuck and even I bought a hint but it seems that it doesn’t work, I’m still not able to keep going? Normally I’m very good at this. Even I asked for help but no luck. I’ll keep trying though.
Could not get into this game due to 3D Touch
by Riottool on 2018/07/10 01:55
Every other time I touch the screen on something The notepad comes up. There is no way turning this feature off. It was super annoying. Seriously could not deal with it. I really wish there was a way to turn it off. Seeing that there is already a button at the upper right corner of the screen which is easy to hit... seeing that it’s a cellphone screen and not a giant tv. I don’t understand the redundancy of that feature.
Disappointing

Got this game so my grandson and I could do this together. We were having a lot of fun together. I was really proud how my grandson was figuring out the mini puzzles before I was. But after we got to a certain point we could not get any further. So out of desperation we went on YouTube to look at the walk-through. We finally realize that at the point were you dig up the treasure we were not given IV of the stones we needed to complete this game.😡So we were not able to finish this game in the proper way very disappointing. I really feel that we got ripped off, a waste of money. I would’ve given this game 4.5 stars otherwise.
Well...
by Eageralanpoe on 2018/07/09 04:13
....i’ve done the initial trip around the island, bumped into an impossible entry to a lighthouse, from which all life issues. For me, that’s end of game, but there are a couple of new games i can turn to. It’s a great game. I’ll come back and fiddle at the lighthouse from time to time, wiggle the elk’s antler, then go play something more productive. Actually I do only one review and perhaps edit it, or refine my intent. If there is more than one review I would suspect it to be the product of programmers who haven’t learned how to keep the current review and delete previous copies.
Excellent sequel to Isoland 1
by VirginiaVetMom on 2018/07/07 21:35
Really enjoyed this point n click game. Pretty straightforward, although I got temporarily stuck on what to do next a couple times...not unusual for a p n c game. (Hint: Talk to everyone and take note of their comments). Good job! (That one puzzle with the red, blue and yellow wires that needed straightening was a bear. Had to leave and come back for that one haha)
So far so good
by BooberryDreams on 2018/07/07 00:58
But the first time I tried playing this game, it was set in Korean by default cause I downloaded this game in Korea. But in Korean translation, the captain of the boat doesn’t give you the directional hint needed to open the light house. All he says is ‘I know the world to be big, if you go around enough, you’ll end up in the same place’, something along the lines of that in Korean. It doesn’t give you the necessary hint, so I was lost for the longest time before I looked up a walkthrough and found out what was missing. It’s frustrating cause the whole point of this game is to find clues and solve mysteries. And I would hate to do this again in the future as I play it through and some clues are lost due to mistranslation again. Please fix this.
Second review ever, must have for myst / room escape adventure fans
by Polabonez on 2018/07/06 18:22
It’s beautifully designed, great characters and art. Good logic - if you are an escape the room / myst style adventure hunter don’t even think - just buy it. Got through the game without hints after a few days. I was confused with the ending so looked online after to see if I was missing something ... and I was. Hint: play the game through TWICE for the alternate, much more satisfying ending. Great game developers I’m checking out your other titles now!
My Kind of Game!
by Gammygamer on 2018/07/06 17:34
I’ve been so in need of a game I could immerse myself in and solve challenges, I went back and played some old goodies. Then I saw this and have been hooked! Well done! I am going to go to the first one and try that. Kinda reminds me of the Rusty Lake series!
Amazing game 👍🏼
by Jamcat1190 on 2018/07/05 00:43
I really enjoyed this game, even better than the first one! The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the screen where you can write notes kept popping up when I tapped the screen. Even when I tried to tap on something in the opposite corner as the notes button, it would pop up. This bug was annoying because I was constantly having to close the notes screen. It didn’t prevent me from finishing the game or anything and I absolutely loved the graphics. You can tell a lot of effort went into making this game!
Much love for this game!
by Michael_Athey on 2018/07/05 00:17
Actually all the games up to this point — Mr. Pumpkin’s Adventure, Isoland, and now Isoland 2. The unique art style is what initially attracted me, and then the story and gameplay got me hooked. There are a LOT of point and click type games out there on the market, but few produce such a fine balance of logical challenge, visual esthetic, and solidly intuitive controls. The drawing pad option was a nice add (like in Agent A), though I was still more inclined to snap pics on my phone or keep a scratch pad handy. This one does feel a bit shorter than the other installments, but don’t let that stop you. It’s still a great addition to play through!
Lurve this game
by Super Mouse1234567890 on 2018/07/02 01:45
I don’t just love this game I lurve it, everything about it. The dialogue is like weird poetry. The puzzles are unusual and just hard enough. I was unable to use the camera on my 2018 iPad, but I just used the pencil and made drawings instead. I love that there are several female characters. I loved the time travel swish. I was sad I couldn’t save the whale or the creatures in jars.
A RIVAL FREAK
by Greypatchesoreo on 2018/06/29 17:09
WORTH THE WAIT!!! I stumbled upon Isoland shortly after it was in the App Store. Over the past few years, I’ve returned to play it, although it’s been some time. When I saw pre-order for part 2, I knew I was gonna get it ASAP, tho I didn’t pre-order it. I happened to be awake about 2:30 in morning EST, n it must’ve just hit, cuz at first it wouldn’t accept my payment. I was elated after a few tries n it began its download. Loved the fact that there aren’t any walkthroughs available yet to look up, and so I truly was forced to get thru it on my own (or pay for hints). A few times I got stumped for awhile, but that’s mostly due to the non-linear aspect, WHICH IS A GREAT WAY TO DO THE GAME. It’s less structured, n makes u recall things one might have seen much earlier on. The only hindrance w/this method, is when speaking to ppl, they repeat n tell u things like a machine is broken, despite already having fixed it, etc. I took my time, knowing this would be it for a LONG time again, as these games take a lot of work. I enjoyed the Easter eggs I found (don’t know what I may have missed, as again, it’s too new for walkthroughs that would tell you). If ur used to these games n get frustrated n want to just ‘cheat a little’ on a part or clue u just feel too stumped on...DONT! Trust me, you’ll figure it out n savor the game. I looked thru the machine where u purchase clues or can scroll items. So, towards the end, I knew I had a few I still needed, b4 taking off on the rocket. U can do that w/o a hint, n it was helpful to know to keeeep looking for things u might not necessarily need to complete. SOMEHOW I managed to miss the achievement for not speaking to EVERY SINGLE PERSON ON THE ISLAND. lol. Looked at my achievements AFTER I’d already taken off in rocket n ended game, so I’ll let this one go a bit, then give it another go.
Short but worth every penny.

I absolutely adored this game. The puzzles were inventive and fun. They weren’t rehashed puzzles or over used. The graphics and dialogue were delightful and the story was so cute. I can’t wait to play another game by this developer. I can only say I laughed out loud at the ending. ❤️
Off to a rough start
by Brianjoe66 on 2018/06/29 14:49
I prefer to be able to keep any pictures I take in the game itself rather than in my personal photos. Since I don’t have that option, I figured I’d save then delete as needed. But when I select ‘save to files,’ the game crashes. I really enjoyed the first Isoland, so I hope this won’t be an issue.
Much love for this game!

Isoland 2: Ashes of Time
Isoland 2 - Ashes of Time features an achievement system and a New Game+, making for a rewarding and challenging experience.
Fun, fair, clever
by kendradog on 2020/10/17 06:46
Crisp, entertaining, delightful game.
Well done😷
I cried when it was over - thanks Covid
by jxrenee on 2020/05/11 03:14
I don’t usually get much from my games, I play them mindlessly and enjoy them at face value but 2020 has been hard.
Isoland 3!

Can’t wait for it!
Great way to kill some time
by Abundant Grace on 2019/01/24 04:53
Puzzle games shouldn’t be impossible and, in my opinion, should give you a break from the real world.
