Suuuper buggy- mask is way off
by theENZER on 2019/08/26 03:29
Masking is way off. Any try to mask the area results in a selection no where near the area I’m actually trying to isolate. Super frustrating. Refund please.
Fits the bill perfectly
by Hemalac on 2019/05/04 14:50
Perfect for freezing parts of a video and creating seamless loops. I was really glad to see the adjustments (shadows/contrast/color cast/etc) are easy to use and make the videos really pop. Super simple, intuitive interface but not lacking any features. I am imagining the lower reviews are from before a lot of improvements. It is so totally worth the small price tag in my opinion!!
Cinemagraphs!
by Cheule on 2019/03/26 21:07
I was playing around with Cinemagraph Pro, another app on the App Store, who wants $99 a year minimum (up to $299!) to remove the watermarks. I read the reviews for this app, and several reviews claimed the app didn’t work, or that the “cursor” was off when painting movement layers. It made me wonder if I was wasting $2, and if I should just purchase the $15/month, $99/year expensive app. However, the brush alignment is perfect on my phone. I don’t know what’s going on with other people. I’m on the newest hardware too, an iPhone XS Max. I’m so glad I bought this one! Yes the UI is a *little* clunkier, but it does all the same things that the expensive app does. Three hints: 1) use a tripod 2) record 4K video in the default camera app first 3) after you’ve imported the video into cinegraph, you can make Live Photos with another app called IntoLive (under $5) and now you have all the functionality of the $99 app!
Don't waste your money on this. Here's why
by JeffMurnahan on 2019/03/18 22:16
Don't waste your money on this until they come out with an update. They still have it to where the brush does not match up with your fingers so it makes it impossible to make what you want move without unintentionally making other things move as well. If you zoom in and try it you won't even be able to see what was marked until you zoom out because the brush does not match up with your finger Until they update their app to make the brush match with where you touch don't get this app. It's unusable. It should really be pulled from the App Store they're stealing from people
Great but Confusing Description
by TimBsTechTalk on 2018/12/15 13:36
This app works like Cinemagraph. It enables you to freeze sections of your video or Live Photo. A very affordable alternative. However, unlike what the description indicates, you cannot animate photos. Photos cannot be imported into the app unless they are Live Photos. The developers should update the description
Lame...
by Cheesetelli on 2018/11/18 08:20
I’ve never written an app review but this app is not worth the $2. It is so unuseful. When you’re selecting the area where you want movement, it doesn’t select where you press... it’s so off. In addition, it is extremely lacking in user interface. No options to undo. Result does not look realistic/flattering at all. Waste.
Updated needed!!!!
by Hippotoe on 2018/10/02 08:54
When attempting to select the area to keep in motion, the app tracks my finger on a completely different part of the video, it makes it basically impossible to do anything. I have to guess where the app is going to track my finger, silly. Not worthy of more than one star until it gets fixed.
Misleading

Description says create photos with motion. But you cant even upload photos. You have to create a photo from a video. Lame. Looper is better. Will request money back for misleading description

by renegademan1177 on 2018/07/06 04:59
App is not easy to use and the effects are choppy at best. I even searched for a few videos on how to use the features because the app is not intuitive as prior reviews makes it seem and found zero assistance from Cinegraph user community...recommend you pass.
Simplest, most balanced cinemagraph-maker

When one of my favorite apps, Cinemagram, was abandoned, I was super-bummed. There are some alternatives, but this app is absolutely the best replacement. My one feature request from Cinemagram: optional image stabilization. It’d be nice to not need to use a tripod to make really convincing ‘graphs.
Confusing but has potential
by etnoivehs on 2018/04/19 18:35
The app is complicated, is there anyway to make the edits less visible, am I doing something wrong? Also there should be a way to view the sample directions/ videos if you need to.
Great functional app

I’ve tried a few of these and many of them forget to allow a fade in during the loop part. The app is pretty easy to use and navigate and I haven’t encountered and bugs or errors. Very happy with it!
