Daily puzzle page
by Van hagger on 2020/10/23 14:30
I enjoy this puzzle page as I have tried others and it seems to have questions that are reasonable and not so obscure that you get frustrated trying to figure them out but challenging enough to give your brain a little workout.
Gotten WAY too greedy on Ads-ruining app play
by Orion35244 on 2020/10/23 06:11
I’ve got no problem with ad-supported content; but as I’ve played the games in this app over the years the quantity of ads has spiked DRAMATICALLY! Playing a game (if you’re not paying for their subscription) requires a token. You get tokens mainly by watching ads or buying them. After you play almost every game now, for which you’ve already “purchased” by money or your time watching ads, you’re forced to watch yet another 30 second ad! Most of these games are fairly simple. When you add the 30 second ad you watch to play the game with the 30 second ad they now require you to watch after a game - you’re spending more time watching ads than playing most games. There’s a fine line between a fair ad policy and ad abuse; sadly this app has now stepped on, jumped on, and rolled all over that line.

Game keeps crashing since last update.
Decent variety; too easy; too expensive
by ThinePwnage on 2020/10/22 18:33
Free users are severely limited in how many puzzles they can play a day, and the harder puzzles are locked behind a subscription, as well, so I got a month subscription. Every day gives you new puzzles, along the same pattern as previous weeks, and they’re free to play with the subscription. You have access to the puzzle books (subscription only), which have a disappointingly limited range in difficulty (each of the 10 pages features 2 of each difficulty, and further books for a game are locked until you fully complete the current book). Each day, you’re allowed to do 5 puzzles from the books for free; after that, they cost tokens for some unfathomable reason—if I’m paying $6 a month, I expect to get full access to the game! The puzzle variety is generally good, with a few puzzles and variations on them that you’re likely familiar with, and some that are probably completely new to you. There are three types of crossword puzzles, though there is no difference between them (one is standard, one is shaped like a diamond, and one is “harder”). The clues are often repeated between puzzles, and often times infuriatingly incorrect (though if you are incredibly forgiving, you can typically shrug your way through the answer and say “sure, close enough”), and they are almost exclusively definition/synonym clues. Certain quality of life functions in this app are fantastic—undo, check for errors, soft locking the content of a box so that you can sweep your finger past it without changing that box, auto-fill, and the ability to highlight all instances of one number on a number puzzle. However, some of these functions go a little too far—while I appreciate that when I pen a number into a sudoku puzzle, it automatically clears that penciled number from the rest of the box, row, and column, I despise the fact that it also automatically does some of the logic deductions for me and actively assists me in solving the puzzle. At a certain point, all I’m doing is penning in the numbers I’m left with because of its logic deductions instead of deducing these things myself. This would be fine if it were optional, but it’s a mandatory function in the app. On that same note, I would prefer if the auto fill option had a choice between “fill in all possible numbers given the current clues” (which it does) and “just fill in all numbers available”. When I’m doing a new 9x9 puzzle, I don’t want to have to manually select each of the 81 boxes and then tap all nine numbers each time, but I also don’t necessarily want the auto fill to deduce the possible numbers for me, either. So, overall: there is a good variety of puzzles in a poor variety of difficulties, with the only real problems in puzzles being slightly inaccurate clues in the crosswords (I’ve not found a typo or inaccuracy in math or logic anywhere). Some puzzles are clearly just filler, though (word search and “Xs and Os”). This is very accessible for puzzlers of any skill level, but will likely get tiresome very quickly for those who prefer harder puzzles. The quality of life functions in the game make it very satisfying to solve puzzles and you will never have to face being unable to complete one, but that is also the negative for those who want more of a challenge. However, the price for the subscription is ludicrous for what you get from it.
Forced Ads
by Bytra on 2020/10/22 04:28
Oct 21... pop vote ads none stop. I highly don't recommend downloading. The amount of ads that auto load seem to be increasing while the has not really improved. Would be 5 stars if not for that.

Lost some stars
by kyroha on 2020/10/20 21:03
I’ve loved this app and the different games allows for little boredom. My biggest issue now is that ever since the new update the app keep crashing on me. If this is a problem that will persist I may have to rethink my subscription.
Fun but...
by RA. Stokes on 2020/10/20 17:59
I have always enjoyed this game. Only used the free subscription and have been perfectly fine with the puzzles I get. Giving 4 stars because I really dont get the last update. What is puzzling points???? There was no explanation.
Puzzle Page-Daily Puzzles
by Nanamichelle on 2020/10/20 15:04
This is my all-time favorite app! I spend many hours each day stretching my brain power. Lately though, it crashes often. Yesterday it probably crashed three-dozen times or more! This seems to happen mainly early in the day. Today it’s only crashed about eight times so far but I am so frustrated I’m moving on to something else.
Major issues
by Rocket6488 on 2020/10/20 08:20
I’ve enjoyed this app for a long time, and I appreciate the diversity of puzzles, but it’s become unplayable. It started where it crashed infrequently, then it migrated to crashing after each puzzle, and now I can’t open the app at all anymore. I am on the latest OS, and I have an iPhone 7, and I’m not the only person in my family who has had this issue. I’d rate higher, but the sheer volume of crashes is deterring me from renewing my subscription
Fun puzzle collection
by Mariorox1956 on 2020/10/19 20:29
As someone who has played this game since March of 2018, I enjoy this game very much. Since then, it has received many QOL updates as well as fun features. That being said, the new overlay just confuses me. I understand moving achievements to the player status screen, but now I can't find where the new quests are besides on the puzzle page screen. I liked having the concise list of the quests for the day on the same screen, but I can't tell if it's just a bug with my phone or it's gone for good. It could be a problem with my iOS, but I'm uncertain. Overall though I do love the variety of puzzles that this app gives. Besides my minor gripes, I still play it everyday.

Nothing for people that don’t subscribe
by fashion608 on 2020/10/18 07:23
It used to be that about every month un-subscribers would get access to special issues. Now special issues are all only for subscribers. That is not fun or fair, and makes me question why I play this game, especially with the amount of ads I have to watch to play ONE puzzle. I did like the update that when you pay 20 tokens for a puzzle on a page the rest of the page was only 10 tokens. But I am already in May 2018 because I’ve finished every day before that... the fact that I can’t reach milestones with new special issues because I don’t want to pay for a subscription is upsetting because it hasn’t been like this for months or since this app started... It’s truly disappointing that this app is so money hungry, after advertising as a free app. Also with the new update they added “points, which makeno sense and they gave no explanation on how these points work or what they give you when you reach a new “level”. I’ve been a loyal customer and am greatly disappointed.
Won’t open
by ThelmaH1976 on 2020/10/17 15:41
I love this game! However for the last few weeks, it has been closing out on me as I try to do puzzles. Now it won’t even Open. I miss doing the puzzles. Please fix the issue. Normally your tech team gets right on the problem. However, the problem hasn’t gotten fix. Therefore I decided to write a review.
Bug on Picture Cross
by Ruki77 on 2020/10/17 13:12
I absolutely LOVE this app and play it every day. Very happy subscriber here. Recently I’ve experienced an issue with picture cross on my iPhone where the X’s on the top and left side of the puzzle are giant and block the numbers. Just FYI in case this can be fixed. It’s a new issue since the last update.
Bad changes
by brit729 on 2020/10/16 10:58
I’ve play this game regularly for many months now and loved it. I’ve found some great new types of puzzles that I love. However the newest update lost all my progress. I still had coins but all the puzzles levels were reset to 1. Now all the puzzles are much to easy and I don’t want to spend many more months getting back to where I was. As others have noted, the update also limits free functionality. Now there’s very little to do
Sloooowww
by acarroll1 on 2020/10/16 02:48
It’s fine when I can play but the game is very slow to respond when choosing anything and tends to close half that time after I choose a puzzle. Hard to know if I’d really like the game since it’s so frustrating.
Many choices
by arill1970 on 2020/10/15 23:59
Nice variety of daily games. I was very pleased after reporting a minor issue, that I received a helpful response within a day.
Awesome game!! But..
by stc379 on 2020/10/15 14:50
I love the variety and I play quite often but I really wish tokens were provided as a reward more often. The option to maybe exchange large sums of coins for tokens would be very nice. I’ve accumulated a lot of tokens, but I don’t use them so they just pile up. There’s a lot of waiting for the daily rewards just to get tokens because they’re hardly given as rewards. Great game besides that though!

Best app for Puzzlers! (+1 Request)
by MsKista on 2020/10/14 11:40
I'm digging the new changes. I like seeing my progress as I reach new levels. I do have one request and that is for dark mode, please? I play every night in bed before I go to sleep and the white background is very bright, even if I adjust the display settings.
Cool puzzles too many Ads
by Cryspez on 2020/10/14 05:25
The app is very busy, pick what you want the user to experience; newsletter, daily challenges, calendar, app is not easy on the eyes, needs more organizing. If you’re okay playing one puzzle a day then it will be good, way too many ads and so long at that. It really takes away from the cool puzzles, they’re unique not sure if they’re worth the million ads.

I really liked the idea of this game (being able to play a lot of different games from one screen) but quickly realized that if you weren’t willing to spend a lot of money on a subscription then you weren’t going to get to play much.
Ads have become unbearable
by J RoRo on 2020/10/13 13:16
I was playing every day. The games are great and the updates as well. Until recently, I only had to watch an ad if I wanted to earn something. Now, after almost every game, you drop me in a video. Today, you made me watch an online gambling ad that I was forced to interact with in order to get back to the game. The thing is, every tap, every interaction is tracked by middleware Ad-trackers. I do not wish to be tracked as clicking on internet gambling sites (which I was forced to click on today.) I get that you want to increase your profits - it’ll just be without me. Good luck.

Hours of fun--if you've got the tokens
by DSDragon on 2020/10/12 12:52
I have been playing Puzzle Page for a few years now, so I've racked up about 1.6 million coins that I almost never use more than a few hundred of per day. On the other hand, I often cannot finish the day's page because 20 tokens is not enough to unlock all 6 or 7 puzzles. The developers hand out coins left and right, but tokens are in extremely short supply. It would be great if we could trade coins for tokens. It would probably need to be a lot of coins for a small number of tokens (say 1,000 coins per token or 3 for 2,500?) so that the game developers could still make money from people either paying for the tokens or watching paid ads too. But I'm sure I'm not the only one who gains coins faster than they can use them and uses tokens faster than they can gain them.
Need more Picture Sweep

New and Improved? Most Definitely Not
by El Esposo on 2020/10/12 11:20
Great app-Definitely one of the ‘something for everyone’ type of deals. Excellent variety, like most games and don’t bother with rest. Not too many ads, and not much to opt out. But, the ads for getting tokens are having a tendency to freeze up and I have to stop playing for awhile til it unfreezes (and then I don’t get the tokens I earned by watching-Y’all owe me about 100 tokens😡). Also, but only on my iPad, the app just cuts off mid-game and has to be restarted. It’s annoying to have to restart-even more so because I usually lose some progress in whatever game I was playing. If those bugs are dealt with, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ easy. UPDATE: Some genius decided to ‘improve’ the game by adding a stupid, useless orange bar/tab with meaningless levels on it. Once the happened, the link between my phone and tablet quit working. On my phone it doesn’t even recognize me as a subscriber. Since I’m on my phone far more after than tablet, there’s no point in maintaining subscription. Will be cancelling before next renewal.

great assortment and helpful demos
by stimpak4 U on 2020/10/11 18:29
i do not play alot of games on my phone or hardly at all. however this app keeps me entertained when books dont always give an adequate example of how to do a puzzle. the videos that accompany hard ones like picture cross or pictocross. never really understood it untill i watched the video and their meaning of groupings. now i have a new puzzle i enjoy. not only that i now have the hang of cross word. my dad excelled at it with no problems but i couldnt remember every word like he could. now its actually fun to attempt and complete. yall got a great app. the help pages are also pretty decent when it comes to explaining the puzzle you wish to attempt. 👍

Bugs
by ThatOneGirlYana on 2020/10/10 16:41
The games themself are great. But since last month the in app notifications won’t go away. So every day when I log in it tells me there’s new notifications, I click through them, I delete all of them, and then the whole process starts again the next day.
Crashing a lot
by Sarbear9999 on 2020/10/10 14:39
The last two versions have been crashing more often. It was doing really well for a stretch there, but now crashes at least 2 or 3 times while just trying to complete the daily page. Also, the puzzling points and level thing is really dumb. There are no rewards for going to the next level, so I’d rather be able to see what puzzles I need to complete for achievements on the dashboard.
good game but
by zoxxyYT on 2020/10/10 12:16
the game is very good i used to play a whole bunch of separate apps to play the games on here the only reason i gave a 3 star is they really want you to subscribe to their app so they limit the free play pretty badly
Pretty good
by pattycake102 on 2020/10/10 04:42
I really enjoyed the variety of puzzles. I decided to subscribe for a short while as there is no at to get more then a few tokens a day otherwise. I wish you could exchange coins for tokens, I never need the coins! Also I noticed that a lot of the crossword style puzzles used the same words over and over so it started to feel a bit predictable which is why I chose to unsubscribe.
Great support!
by SPM21Bucky on 2020/10/09 23:08
They addressed an issue with ads and hopefully ads like that have been removed. I don’t mind watching an ad now and then to unlock currency to spend on more puzzles. This app has a good variety of puzzles, I enjoy most of them.

Every update screws it up
by Former puzzle addict on 2020/10/08 23:32
While this is a good idea, every time they "improve" the app, they screw it up. It used to just be unstable. Now it won't even open. And customer service is non-existent. If there were a way to give negative stars, I would take 1 away for every day of unresolved problems, which would put the tally around Minus 200.

Fun puzzles, but you need tokens to complete them.
Cost vs encouragements
by Tjones2222 on 2020/10/08 01:16
I was looking forward to trying out the variety of puzzles/games. And there are a lot of them. And each puzzle you complete you get a few coins. But if you want to keep playing, you pay with tokens. 10-20 tokens for each puzzle. Doesn’t matter that you can complete a puzzle in seconds. You have to pay for the next one. It would be more encouraging to continue, if you could take the coins you win for completion of games and have the opportunity to trade them in for tokens, so you can keep playing. I paid $ for 20 ‘on sale’ games, and they were spent in 8 minutes. Now what? I can’t keep playing unless I fork over more money, and there’s too many apps out there that you don’t have to pay for. If paying wasn’t an issue, it’s a great app. It’s very busy, though. Too much to read when I just wanna play. But the variety is very good, and no ads/commercials is nice. And I know you need to get paid by some means to provide this app. Just allow the coins to be traded in for tokens. Simple little request. Now your app sits unopened since I have no more tokens. I’d use it everyday if I didn’t have to pay for how much I use it. And I get that you offer unlimited games for like $40-$70 but that’s pretty steep. Again, there are plenty of free ones to keep me occupied. Thanks for the chance to try out a few games I have never played before, cause now I know what apps to look for. Sorry. The honeymoon is over.

Newest updates broke the game!
by Mishra's Shadow on 2020/10/06 22:36
Hating the newest “improved” update! Can’t find the screen to view the usual 3 daily challenges. I can only see one when on ‘today’s page’ but it gets blocked by the ads at the bottom of the screen!! And what’s the point of the new leveling system? It seems unnecessary and pointless.
Great change in this Updare!
by kodiakak on 2020/10/06 11:15
I really love this app. The number of challenging puzzles you offer without a subscription is phenomenal. The variety is really nice and the ability to choose a different level of difficulty is wonderful! Thank you for making the completed picture puzzles stay on the screen a bit longer! That is a really nice change! I wish advertisers realized that we watch 15 second ads. We set our phones down for longer ones. 30 to 45 seconds of match-3 and false advertising (especially when we’ve seen the same ad way too many times) is just painfully boring. Thanks for a great app!
Love the puzzles — let me customize!
by Cannon38 on 2020/10/06 02:21
I really like this app with one HUGE exception — I absolutely hate picture sweep. I would like to turn off every single picture sweep puzzle so I can I enjoy completing pages and other aspects of the game. It would be great — and shouldn’t be that hard — to let me set some preferences on puzzle types.
Love!!
by LRS1972 on 2020/10/06 01:49
After playing this for several months, I broke down and subscribed not to just get rid of ads, but to go back and do the days I missed. This is a lot of fun and the ever changing puzzles keep it interesting. I like how they have added new games and look forward to even more to be added.
Horrible with Updates!
by maxman214 on 2020/10/05 17:14
Used to have fun logging in everyday to play the variety of games. Then the updates came and the fun left! Last slew of updates have now taken over the screen completely, you can’t play anything until you walk through the updates! You can’t even opt out of them! Fortunately, this will not be missed, I can spend more time on better written programs! Goodbye & Good luck!

by CarrieLilBits85 on 2020/10/04 13:27

by mellieforyellie on 2020/10/03 03:59
i use this app to relax before bed every night, too calm down from anxiety attacks, or to just pass the time. there’s so many different kinds of puzzles to choose from no matter what i’m in the mood for, and the subscription is COMPLETELY worth it. my only suggestion for improvement is can you PLEASE add a dark mode option? i often play to wind down at night and the blaring white background is so hard on my eyes, even with brightness all the way down and night shift on. thank you for the amazing app and all your hard work!
Unhappy with new update
by Munchy Crunchy on 2020/10/03 00:12
In the newest update some of the achievements leapt from needing 75 of a certain puzzle done to 100. So on a few I was close to leveling up to professor in those puzzles but now I'm 25+ away. This is pretty annoying to me, that's 25 extra puzzles I have to do to reach the same rank I was almost at. And one of the other ones wasn't changed, although it's the challenger one, which is supposed to be a bit more difficult so maybe you can level up with less? It also set me back one puzzle, which isn't bad but makes me think there might be some bugs. Idk the other ones are kind of a drag now.
Best Variety Puzzle App
by Kkander on 2020/10/02 20:44
I’ve used this app almost daily for eight months now and have no plans on quitting any time soon. There is always an update every month (with the exception of one time probably due to the start of COVID) and you can go back as far back as 2018 to play puzzles. I have never run out of content and never get bored of it. If you are a puzzle fanatic, the subscription is very much worth the cost - I have definitely played way more than some games I’ve paid $60 for. My only change would be to suggest a rework of the quest to complete one puzzle for 7 consecutive days, because the coins you are rewarded are not worth the time spent. It’s more beneficial (and cost effective) to just skip the quest and get a shorter one for the next few days. Overall, I’d like to say thank you to the devs for always keeping the game updated and for coming up with fun new puzzles types every now and then. You rock!

Embracing violent ads
by saidwhat123456789 on 2020/10/01 15:11
I love Puzzle Page. The ads to play are lengthy and the price outrageous, however, I continue to utilize the app. I love the puzzles and the variety. Recently the ads are for violent video games and are very disturbing to witness. I will try to get passed this, but I resent the exposure to the violence, so we shall see. If it wasn’t for the price and disturbing ads, I would definitely give it 5 stars.
A Whole New Swarm of Bugs!
by Marthooh on 2020/10/01 13:58
This is a five-star app that got updated to three stars. I’m a subscriber and I expect better from you! Here’s what the October update did: Achivements are not rewarded. The app now has meaningless "levels" that are not rewarded or even acknowledged. There are a variety of odd glitches, like showing I've unlocked a volume of puzzles that I can’t possibly have unlocked? And showing a volume as finished when I haven't finished it? tl;dr The puzzles are still good, but what a randomly annoying update.
Updates no fun
by ANameNotTaken12345 on 2020/09/30 15:11
Love and hate this app. It freezes up all the time for me and I have to delete it and reload it to my phone, which I think has to do mostly with my phone. But when its working, i enjoy it very much. The thing that may ultimately cause me to not keep the app much longer is when the last update came through I lost about 45k coins and all my bonus cards which is a bummer since I worked so hard on getting a collection for a rainy day of one clue, my kryptonite puzzle.
Not saving completed games after update
by CrashNations on 2020/09/30 13:09
After updating, games are not saving after completion therefore goals aren’t crediting. Completed games show green and cloud but they are definitely completed and won’t allow any further entry. Update broke the game for me.
Love this app!
by eeyoretailz on 2020/09/30 04:06
The variety of puzzles is great! I like how they change day to day. This is by far the best puzzle app that I’ve found. As a side note, I would love to see logic problems added.

THIS GAMe IS TRASH
Very political
by Amber4311 on 2020/09/29 12:20
This actually is a great puzzle pack but you will see a lot of ads. My problem is that the majority of the ads are political and are one sided. I do not play the game so that I can have someone’s political views pushed on me. I will remove this app if it continues
Updates to fix bugs not working
by Tris From The Hill on 2020/09/29 07:19
The August 29, 2020 picture cross has been missing colors off it since it was sent out. Updates said it was fixed, so I tried to solve it their are still colors missing, light green is one of the, this last update did not fix it either. Tired of the bugs, deleting the app.
Love the puzzles, not the recent glitches.
by PomX3 on 2020/09/28 20:03
I love the variety of puzzles in this app. In the last several days, the app has become increasingly frustrating. I have updated to most recent versions. First, when I try to watch an in-app ad to earn tokens or coins, the screen goes black sometimes and I have to completely close the app and reload. I can actually watch an ad about 5% of the time. Other responses is that the app crashes aside from watching ads. Sometimes the app doesn’t crash until the ad is done, but before I get the tokens. This problem seems to be getting worse. Today the app crashes even without looking at ads. Very unstable. I plan to delete app if issues not resolved. Update: Thank you for replying to my post. I was able to fix this issue by turning my iPhone off and rebooting it. The glitches seem to have been fixed by it.
Heating Up
by Rkmihandoost on 2020/09/28 13:45
I really like playing the games daily. However, the app has started making my iPhone heat up. It’s the only app that does it. I first started noticing something was wrong when the display light kept going from dim to bright when the ambient light had not changed. I noticed the phone was warm even through my phone case and was hot to the touch outside of the case. Please fix this issue or I’ll have to delete the app.
Subscriptions
by Lorimffpb on 2020/09/28 01:35
This is the only game I have ever subscribed to! But I’m very frustrated when It says I haven’t subscribed. I use my iPhone and tablet and twice a month or so it shows that I haven’t subscribed. I do this and that and some how I “fix” it. Why is it doing this? Sincerely, Puzzled (lolololol) Lori
This will NOT present in landscape mode
by GCPGCP on 2020/09/27 05:46
Its extremely frustrating that this app will not present in landscape. I have an ipad pro with the keyboard attached. To play this game I must either hold the ipad in an awkward position to play or completely disassemble the keyboard and case and prop up the unprotected ipad to play. The games are a good mix of logic puzzles and I like that. I’d like it more if I could play it in landscape on a table as the ipad is designed to be used with the keyboard. Developer: We dont need the entire screen to play a puzzle so pls consider formatting to work in landscape mode. Thank you

So the game was playable and this app doesn’t inundate you with ads. But I deleted because the functionality was not very intuitive. I just spent 10 mins trying to start a game and nothing worked. I do not know how to start day two of playing. Got frustrated and deleted the app. Sorry if you build an app have people test it

Like having a variety puzzle magazine on your phone!
by Jmshatz on 2020/09/25 14:21
This has become my daily brain fix. Love the variety of puzzles to work on a daily basis. The word trivia that’s included on the daily puzzle page is interesting as well. I used to buy the Variety puzzle magazines (especially when traveling by plane), this is like having one of these on my phone! Can you add a Logic puzzle to the rotation?
Not saving completed puzzles

Love this game
by Jen325 on 2020/09/24 02:33
This game is great, chock full of a wide variety of puzzles from word to number to visual. And they keep adding new types of puzzles! The subscription is actually worth paying for. I only have two issues which are minor but very frustrating, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. 1. The picture cross squares are small, especially the 15x15. It can be hard to tap the correct square and hard to read the numbers. Needs the ability to zoom as in other puzzles. 2. In the sudoku it’s tedious to mark multiple squares, and way too easy to accidentally tap the wrong number when moving quickly out of impatience. The ability to highlight multiple squares and then choose a number to fill all of them at once would save a ton of time.
Been playing for a while now
by Lalaliz4eva on 2020/09/23 23:10
I love almost every thing about this game. It has a good variety of different types of puzzles to solve. A lot of them I had never even heard of before I downloaded this app. Also, instructions on how to play each puzzle, are very clear and helpful if you don't know how to play or have any questions. I like that every day it gives you a new page to look at. I also like having the ability to go back to previous days and being able to play those puzzles as well. The only thing I don't like is that you run out of the free coins that the game starts you out with, way too fast before they give you the option to purchase more, even if you arent spending any of them on hints, ect. Now, I understand that the game can't be totally free. However, i think that the app should initially start you out with a few more free coins.
Ads

Some Cons but Better than Most
by VioletAether on 2020/09/22 15:47
I have been using this app for about five months now, usually on a daily basis. It has more puzzles than any other app I have ever seen. I use the free version for a few reasons, the primary one being that many of the puzzles are just repeats of others from previous months with one or two things changed to make it a “different” puzzle. The one or two changed things are insubstantial and do not contribute to making the puzzle challenging at all because when I remember my previous answers I can plug them in and the remaining small changed answers are immediately obvious. I have noticed this with the number puzzles only, but I play fewer of the word puzzles so that may be why. The gold coins are completely pointless as the puzzles never become challenging enough for them to be necessary, and you cannot buy green tokens with them. I do like that the puzzles increase in difficulty as you play. I still rate it highly because it is the best I have found and I do usually do at least one puzzle per day. Sometimes I enjoy doing the picture puzzles just because the pictures are often so badly done that it is fun to guess what it is a picture of before I finish the puzzle and it tells me. 😂 Oh, and also wayyyyy more ads than I see in better quality apps. Edited to add: There is this weird sneaky auto complete thing in many of the puzzles that to my knowledge cannot be turned off. The idea is that if you press and hold something and there is only one possible solution to it, it will auto complete that part of the puzzle for you. The problem is that this happens all of the time whether you barely touch something or not, and these kinds of puzzles have “lives” that you lose if you press auto complete and there is more than one solution to the part of the puzzle you touched. This feature not only doesn’t work correctly, but it is dumb and completely pointless. I’d like to do these puzzles myself and not with the help of some auto complete feature that doesn’t even work. Please at least give us the option to turn this ridiculous feature off.

Great idea
by slartibarphast on 2020/09/21 02:14
I love the execution it’s like a puzzle book or newspaper. One idea might be to offer a “ban” for a type of puzzle you dislike. I don’t know if the daily pages are for all or generated per user. If user, an option to “ban” a type would be great. I hate the tic tac toe puzzle, be nice if I never got those.

I love the puzzles in this app - it’s like all my favorite little games in one and I don’t mind watching videos to play on a non subscription. Sometimes my phone completely crashes when trying to watch an ad, so I can end up having to watch it 3-4 times to play, otherwise would be 5 stars

Works fine on iPhone, but on iPad, it crashes while watching ads, while idle on a game for too long, or just at random times. Love the game otherwise, but extremely frustrating. It's iPad iOS 10.3.3. It and the game are up to date, and it worked perfectly before the last game update.

This is a great app. Love the variety, the brain work, and the clean design. I really appreciate the undo feature and restart, as well as, the helps for checking for errors and for times when I’m stuck and can’t figure the puzzle out. Clearly the developer has integrity! Thanks!

Great mix of puzzles and fun daily challenges
by Kassy1212 on 2019/07/02 08:44
Updated review: I don’t know if they have super fast tech folks or more likely they were working on the problem before I reviewed it, but it is fixed and I am a happy subscriber. I love all the great games and daily challenges. Thanks for you help. Old review before the fix: I love the mix of puzzles that is part of this game and the daily challenges. However right now there is a problem with the subscription. I started the subscription a month or two ago and it was working great for a time, but within the past couple days it acts like I have no subscription even though I can see when I look at “manage my subscriptions” under my profile in the App Store that it is still in place and should continue until July 27th. I tried on the subscription section in the app to hit “restore my subscription” but that just suddenly closes the app and doesn’t fix the problem. So I am planning on canceling my subscription until this gets fixed since right now being subscribed is no longer giving me any advantage. Developers if you want to continue to get my money and see me raise this star rating on this review please look into why, even though I paid to be subscribed, the app has suddenly stopped seeing me as subscribed. Thank you.
Good
by dollbones on 2020/06/04 11:57
For the most part I love this app. I play it everyday, and I love that as long as I don’t mind watching ads I can keep up with the daily puzzles and even do a few of the special issues once in a while. I have a very tight budget so subscriptions to games are not something I can afford. However, a few programming changes they’ve made recently are a bit annoying, and one of them I think might actually be a bug. 1. After finishing a puzzle and getting the reward screen I don’t like how it sometimes kicks you out of the page you were on all the way back to the main daily page calendar. This seems to only happen when you complete a “quest” which is a new feature for getting additional rewards. Not really needed, but if it has to be in please have it send you back to whatever page you were on, not kick you out all the way back to the main calendar. 2. After getting kicked back to the calendar, if you were in a previous month BEFORE getting kicked out of the page, you will be placed into the current month but the previous month’s name will show at the top and any dates you tap on will take you to the same date for the previous month. This has to be a bug. You can fix it by sliding to the previous month and back to the current month again, but it’s annoying. Maybe just...have it not kick us back to the main menu after completing a quest. That seems like a really easy way to fix this.
Best Puzzle App I’ve Used
by 2boredsoimadethisreview on 2020/02/04 14:46
I downloaded this app last year and spent a few months with no subscription. I was able to accumulate tons of coins (which are used to give hints in puzzles) and a decent amount of tokens (which are used to play a puzzle). About a month or two ago, I decided to pay for the annual subscription to get rid of the ads, and it did, which is GREAT! Also, all of the daily puzzles are free with subscription and you get to play five special issues for free per day (any more than that and it costs you tokens). I really appreciate the range of puzzles this app offers, unlike a lot of other apps. I’ve gotten better at puzzles I didn’t enjoy or know how to play earlier, like killer sudoku (which is still tough), but the instructions for each puzzle are very clear. I also like that the player can choose which difficulty they want to play a puzzle if they are still learning or haven’t mastered that puzzle type yet. The special issues are GREAT since they’re great practice...I don’t know if I’ll ever complete all of them! I also love that the developers are always adding new puzzles and new issues, which keeps the app fresh and never boring. I use this app every day to keep my mind sharp and I absolutely love it!
Absolutely love the game, just one minor flaw
by RedLightning - Valued customer on 2020/04/20 19:02
I love this game to death. It reminds me of the games/trivia page found in daily newspapers and I adore that. It always keeps me busy and thinking. I’ve been subscribed to it for about over a year now. Very much deserving of 5 stars. Currently I only see one things that I hope could be fixed/tinkered with. After playing the game for like 30 minutes or so certain images from the puzzles like the X in the top left corner of every game gets slightly burned into the screen for a bit and I notice it when in other apps. It goes away after a bit but gets worse and more noticeable for longer durations of play. Personally I’d suggest finding a way to and a light and dark mode which can be accessed through the settings. I think this would fix that screen burning and also make the game a lot more physically appealing and attract a bigger audience to get the game. I do so greatly hope that the creators of this amazing game find and read this as I’d also very much like to see this game get eternally better and more popular. :)
Great puzzles
by mickeymick2001 on 2019/06/04 23:25
I love this and it’s new look is much more eye pleasing and fun. Only thing I am not super fond of is you only get 10-20 tokens for logging in everyday and you only get 5 tokens for watching a video which you have to watch in between puzzles. The only other way to get tokens is by doing the most annoying surveys ever. You never get to the end of the survey and if you back out you don’t get the tokens or you have to purchase something. Spent 30 mins doing one before I was irritated and still didn’t get the tokens anyways. If I wanted tokens bad enough to by something I would simply buy them from the shop without having to jump through loop holes. If the purpose of doing that to your customers is to trick them into buying tokens because it’s to hard to earn them then I don’t want to buy tokens. If I’m simply tired of doing things to try and get the tokens then great but if I can’t even work legitimately for the tickets I feel like that’s a bad play. Other then the tokens the games are always fun and challenging and the switching them daily is a good balance too. You really only get coins from the achievements so you can’t keep playing without buying more tokens or paying for the membership. But if your good with buying the membership it’s great for you
Fantastic...until recently
by MzMizzou on 2019/09/21 14:11
Plenty of fun and challenging puzzles, until some changes and, perhaps, glitches took place. The developers tried to help people by making it possible to choose between Standard, Quick, and Super Quick versions of each game, in which portions of the puzzles are completed for you. I prefer the games the way they were before, for example, you could choose the difficulty level of the sudoku puzzles. I prefer control over difficulty, not quickness of game. But the biggest problem is a change or glitch to the coins. I had about 5,000 coins saved up and could play with no problems, then all of a sudden, most of my coins disappeared and/or are now being used at a higher rate. I “paid” 10 tokens for a sudoku game last night and when I started I now had about 350 tokens. While I was playing the game a message popped up saying I didn’t have enough tokens! I hadn’t used any helpers or other tools that cost coins. Now I’m wondering if EVERY MOVE costs tokens? Also, ads encouraging me to buy more coins keep popping up. I don’t mind paying for an app, but if coins are going to be used at such a high rate, I’m not going pay to keep getting them in order to play the games. It was fun while it lasted...
Great app, would love some tweaks
by eli4414 on 2020/07/03 08:17
This app is lots of fun, I had it downloaded on my old iPhone and recently re downloaded it to this one. I love that it gives you a variety of puzzle types and they’re always updating and adding new ones. I have just a couple of suggestions: First, it would be great to have some sort of dark mode. I often play at night and even with my brightness down the white backgrounds are super bright. Maybe the option could be added near the option to change the ink color? Second, it would be great if with the crossword and challenger games there was an option to move sequentially through unfinished clues instead of having to tap on them within the puzzle. If I’m playing with one hand, it’s hard to reach all the way up to the top of the screen. Adding little arrow keys to move to the next clue would be super helpful. Even without these changes, it’s still a great app, and they’re always prompt with bug fixes, which is a huge plus in my opinion.
Bad Update
by Bjs8311 on 2019/07/14 18:29
I loved this app until the last update. I really only play a few of the games - sudoku, killer sudoku, kakuro, and futoshiki. With all of these, there is the choice to put numbers in pencil or pen. Since the update, there’s a pretty major glitch when changing numbers from pencil to pen. Sometimes, when you hit the pen number, it cancels everything out of the box without actually placing the pen numbers right away. Other times, it randomly edits out completely unrelated pencil numbers in other boxes. In killer sudoku, it has also stopped updating the pencil numbers when something changes within the outline designating the goal total but not within the same quadrant (my description isn’t great on that one, I know...). Add on top of all of this that the number of ads you have to watch has increased substantially. This morning, I watched a video to access a free puzzle, then was forced to watch another ad after solving the puzzle. Also, I frequently have to watch a 30-second ad after finishing a puzzle that I spent tokens on - tokens I earned by watching ads. These glitches are very frustrating and have me considering deleting this app and finding a different app for these types of puzzles.
Puzzle page
by qbcuoe b h idh idwn on 2019/04/05 14:16
I love the variety of puzzles available. My main complaint is the addressing of issues that you may incur while playing the game. I have written several times to address failure to capture tokens earned from completing tasks. I receive a standard form letter back immediately, however there is no further follow up. I always get the feeling of being cheated! And now with the new format of receiving less tokens to cover the daily puzzles, your token supply decreases 5 tokens daily on the weekday puzzles and 15 tokens on the weekend puzzles. Do the math! Eventually, you will run out of tokens and be forced to buy, if you want to continue playing. I’m sure that is the objective. That would not be an issue if you were rewarded the tokens you earned. This is crazy. I tried to enter this review(which requires a nickname) and every name I entered (and I created many nonsensical ones) stated it was already used so I couldn’t submit the review! So I’m going to rate this a 5 star, to see if it will be accepted it then! In reality, I’m giving the this a 1 star due to another noted glitch. I had originally given it a 3 star, which it wouldn’t accept!
You rock!
Bugs
by Forreals& on 2020/06/12 13:54
This game is pretty good. I really enjoy the assortment of puzzles on a daily basis. Also, I really enjoy the challenges and achievements. That being said, I’ve been playing this game for over a year now and have had the same problem occur multiple times. At first I thought it was a one time glitch and shrugged it off. Now, I’m pretty sure it’s a bug on the game’s end. Every so often I will reach an achievement such as complete 100 puzzles of a certain kind. Usually when you get an achievement you get a reward of tokens. As you get higher levels of that achievement you get more tokens. I have been gypped out of tokens at least 3 times on higher level achievements. Most recently I was supposed to receive 45 tokens, but didn’t. 45 tokens is a great reward and would let me play many more puzzles. This time when I reached the achievement, I looked at the box and it told me 0 more puzzles to complete, so I knew I got it. I restarted the app and suddenly I was on the next level with no reward. Again, if this had happened only once it would be no big deal, but it has happened many times.
Getting better and better
by tbnfl on 2018/11/10 15:08
New update had brought a welcome change and coming the navigation is going to improve. All this is needed and is worth mentioning that the developers are actively working to improve the page. The "only" reason it gets 4 instead of 5 stars? It's still bloody difficult to get tokens! Especially if there are some puzzles you just don't care about, e.g. The pictures ones, X/O's, Sums, word slide (although this particular one may be better since it will encompass famous quotes, wait and see), & 1/2 more can't remember... Coins seem pretty easy to get but tokens? Way too tough...maybe, & I really don't know if you can buy them, because normally I'm not buying anything in-app unless very special. And for this game, unfortunately for developers if it is their money maker, there are too many free word games you can download and only be bothered with a brief ad in between, but at least you can still keep playing. The game is showing progresses however and I think developers are listening so for now I'm gonna stay with them!!
Still too buggy to subscribe
by Saswin11 on 2020/07/19 15:36
I wrote a review about a month ago and gave this game three stars but complained that it was freezing my (dated) iPad much too frequently, particularly when you were watching an ad to get a puzzle. I also complained about the load time. The developers wrote to me and told me that my operating system may not have been updated and that was necessary for the game to work. I’m leery about updating the operating system, because doing it often means that an older machine will run too slowly and crash more frequently after an update, because undoubtedly they’ve added some new function or complicated graphics that you don’t need. But I went ahead and did the update. Now one of my other games that I liked won’t run anymore, and guess what? Puzzle Game still loads slowly and freezes all the time. So I’ve lowered my rating to two stars. I can’t see why this game should need so much memory to run — the graphics are primitive and the games don’t require much processing. This could be a good app, I would even have subscribed to avoid the endless ads, but I just don’t understand why they can’t get this game to run better.
3rd Update No Tokens bug and removed puzzle difficulty
by Spudlips on 2019/11/05 14:45
This game keeps going from bad to worse. Now you can’t watch enough videos to get tokens to complete a page. Developers also won’t address bringing back the puzzle difficulty menu. The latest update along with IOS 13.1.2 now has Zoom Enabled popping up all the time during game play and ads. Very annoying. Update: The June update added Play Mode Selector which is great for puzzles you don’t care about, but you removed puzzle difficulty. Playing Sudoku for example you could pick Easy/Med/Hard puzzle mode, then start playing. I may want to play Med mode today and NOT have the puzzle partially solved! Please add back this mode as well, the 2 modes are not mutually exclusive. Start a game, ads flashing in your face. Start a game, then back out to main screen, get an ad. Finish a game, get an ad. Can’t finish a page of games unless you watch ads for tokens. Now with last update, you can’t even play certain games without first watching an ad. Total greed is wrecking a once fun app. I’ll move on to something else to save battery, d/l minutes, and my time.
Loved this game until this month....wish I could undo update!!
by ~TiGGeR~ on 2019/05/20 18:07
I noticed today my Puzzle Page app was saying "n/a" after I watched an ad for 5 tokens, even after the token timer counted down and had awarded me 5 more tokens (I wanted to watch an ad so I had a total of 10 tokens - enough to play a game). Thinking there may be an update, I checked online, and sure enough, there was. Ever since I updated, however, my "token timer" has been "stuck" and is not counting down anymore. I have tried to reboot the app, and my device, both to no avail. So now, instead of being able to play multiple games, I’m barely able to complete the daily...any only because it was a short day and I updated after watching several vids. Not to mention the counter is now stuck at zero, so I have several achievement awards I've been building up to that are in an increment of 5, so I should have an "extra" when they're awarded, but now, I won't.... (i.e. 35 tokens + 5 = enough for 4 games vs 35 tokens is only enough for 3!) I wish there was a way to undo May's update!
Was a 5 star game
by shadowfire76 on 2019/04/20 23:17
First off I loved this game enough to by a year subscription in February. Then the updates started and changes to the layout of the game. It has taken a while to adjust to the changes. I can see where non subscribers have issues getting enough token to finish the pages each day. The rewards have gotten a great deal smaller since the change. While I don’t struggle with tokens to complete pages, I struggle with getting coins to buy hints. Even though running out of coins is annoying I find myself even more annoyed with the block that flashes the “subscribe now” junk on the main page for the day. I am subscribed and do not want to see that on my daily page screen. Also my quests have been stuck in “check back tomorrow” status for weeks now. That used to be a good way to gain coins. If I would have reviewed this in February I would have given 5 stars, however little issues (tokens/coins, quests and the annoying flashing box) make me give it 4 stars.
Great puzzles
by PamBreed on 2020/02/05 13:51
I enjoy and play daily, and I appreciate the one-click reward page from the recent update. I do have some suggestions to improve gameplay: 1. Have a brush function for Sudoku, Kakuro, etc., that allows you to pick a number and then place that number everywhere you touch until you deselect that option. Going back and forth to select the same number gets tedious. 2. Similarly, a fill-all option for a cell would be helpful. For example, if a cell in Futoshiki could be all of the numbers, say 1-6, have a button to put all six pencilled numbers in that cell. 3. On crossword-style puzzles, allow the user to fill in letters in any part of the word rather than going in order. Sometimes it’s obvious that the word ends in something like LY, S, ED, or ING, and filling out that bit is helpful to view when figuring out the rest of the word. It’s OK if those letters go away if you give up on that word and select another word since they may not be correct. 4. Have more ways to earn tokens. Two other suggestions related to the app: 1. I have submitted requests through your Help - Contact Us link within the app, but I have never received a response to any of those. It makes me wonder if that link is active or monitored in any way. 2. If we received tokens instead of coins for sharing progress, I would be more likely to share. I almost never use coins, so they aren’t much of an incentive. That may be the case for others as well. Thanks!
So fun but so restricted
by coolsteph86 on 2020/06/11 12:29
This is a great app. The variety of puzzles make hours of fun! One complaint is that special issues are so restricted. I pay for the subscription but can’t access all of the puzzles. This is a problem because I only like to play the most difficult. However, even subscribers must complete all puzzles in a special issue to open the next. Why do I pay if I can’t play the puzzles I like to play. Also, you only get five “free” special issue puzzles per day. Then you must use tokens. Again, why pay if I can’t play the puzzles that I like? It’s understandable to worry that subscribers might cancel if they can play all of the puzzles they want as quickly as they want, but I would not. I frequently replay my favorite difficult puzzles and follow a system so that by the time I replay one, I’ve forgotten the solution. They are losing a subscriber because I’m paying for puzzles I cannot play without spending a ton on tokens to race through the annoying, easy puzzles. Hate to cancel, but currently it’s not worth the money.
FUN and ADDICTING !!!
by MsDiaz0314 on 2020/03/26 05:17
I love having an array of puzzles available to me at once. I enjoy the challenge of completing “pages” with a different compilation of puzzles. It makes each day unique. I am also thrilled that I have the opportunity to learn about puzzles I have never played before. Highly recommend! The only concern I have about this games is the collection of tokens. Without purchasing a subscription, I am not certain I will earn enough free token on a daily basis to play all the puzzles I would like! Each page has a variety of puzzles, and although some puzzles may be free if you watch a video, most puzzles on the page cost tokens. Even with the “50% off tokens” that shows up with the daily page, to complete the page will still cost a chunk of your tokens. At this rate I either limit myself to a few puzzles a day (never completing a page in day) or I keep completing all puzzles in a page and be out of tokens by the end of the week. Honestly I do not know what to do?!
Great puzzles but tokens are a joke
by Gabri3133 on 2018/11/07 12:49
First of all, I truly love these puzzles. I look forward to them every day and I’ve been playing for a few months now. However, that being said my 2 star rating is solely because of the ridiculous token system. When first starting the game, you get plenty of tokens by completing quests/achievements. But now after a few months, those are few and far between. Each day, it will cost 60 to 80 tokens to complete the page. Tapjoy is a way that you can earn extra tokens which works if there are other apps/games that I’m interested in or is worth the time to complete. Not to mention that nearly every single one I’ve done through Tapjoy, I have to contact them to get my tokens because it never does it automatically. I also completed one that disappeared from the pending so that was time completely wasted. I don’t want to spend my morning trying to earn tokens, I want to play the puzzles. There is a $5 monthly subscription which I think is outrageous. I truly hope the devolved changes this token system so that the awesome puzzles can be enjoyed.
REALLY Like PP But . . . . .
by BJShearer on 2020/03/25 13:06
I do really like PP and play it daily, managing to accumulate coins & tokens incrementally within the game process & by watching videos. BUT . . . the app freezes up MUCH too often, & I have to close down, re-open, & wait while it does its opening dance before I can continue with the game at hand. VERY annoying - and the reason I’ve given this review 3 stars instead of 5. There’s a nice variety of games each day. Use the pie-cut circle for suggested games to play &, when the “pie slices” have been completed, earn a nice reward. Occasionally, the reward for completing 3 games per day for 3 consecutive days will earn another 50 coins or such. There are also options with each game to select 2 easier methods (usually a few or a lot of filled-in spaces) if it’s not your favorite game. Highly recommended - but be aware that the app DOES freeze up much more often than a well-constructed game should.
Great games, customer service is awful
by SuzCash on 2019/05/16 03:47
This is the only game I have ever paid for. The puzzles are great. However, the game keeps shorting me massive amounts of tokens (like, I earn 250 and get 20, or I earn 100 and get 15, and you don’t have many opportunities to earn them - every 50 to 100 games or so). I have emailed customer service, get a canned response and no follow up or fix. Reading through the other reviews, this is a long-standing problem that has been ignored. It irks me that I am a paid subscriber and get no response or correction. It’s bad enough that as a paid subscriber I still have to even worry about tokens - what am I paying for? But then to have the game consistently and severely short my tokens and no resolution is incredibly frustrating and insulting. Update: No, not caught by my spam filter. Nice of you to FINALLY reply to my multiple emails. But are you going to actually FIX the problem or just ignore it again? I am clearly not the only one having problems. The other problems listed here in your reviews - No quests, the daily challenges listing games already completed...you guys just ignore them. How about actually fixing them?
Inappropriate ads
by 17Owl on 2019/03/21 01:51
I really have enjoyed this puzzle game!! It has been amazing. However, once again, I’m finding that the ads contain “Choices” or whatever which displays and promotes cheating spouse, lovers, etc....this is very wrong! I mean, seriously, it’s bad enough that we are exposed to it in day to day life, news, social media, etc. it would be great to actually unwind with a great puzzle like the ones you offer and not be blasted with game ads involving cheating. There could be children playing some of these puzzles. I even had seen an app that had an ad involving the cheating type scenario but with even more cartoonishly characters like you’d see in a children’s show. Come on!! Please, fix that. I barely have any puzzles, card games, etc I can even do without ads like these popping up. No, I do not wish to purchase ad free games either. These were to gain more tokens if you watch video. We barely get enough tokens to play. Again, other than the crappy ads, the puzzles and new update of the new layout are neat!
Four ads to access one puzzle?!
by homeskillet2011 on 2019/11/30 05:09
The puzzles are great, but it’s so incredibly difficult to access them! I don’t for the life of me understand why this game has this system in place. Each puzzle costs 20 tokens. You are rewarded coins when completing a puzzle. Coins cannot be used to access puzzles, but can be used for hints. Every day you get 10 tokens for logging in. (There is an opportunity to earn more if you log in on consecutive days, with a limit of 20. You also get a token discount for every day you log in). It is so incredibly difficult to earn tokens! There are ads after every puzzle, plus you have a rare opportunity to unlock a puzzle with an ad- a sponsored puzzle. You also can watch ads to earn tokens or coins. However, each ad only earns you 5 tokens. You need to watch 4 ads to play one puzzle. I would love this game if I could actually play it. If I could change the game, I would only change one thing: just put an ad before every puzzle. I’m happy to do so. There is no need for this crazy and complex token/coin system.
Best game ever!!!
by Lakeofwaterlilies on 2019/03/13 08:09
I seriously love this game! These are the kinds of puzzles that are challenging, but relaxing, because they are so enjoyable. There aren’t any other apps that offer the great selection of puzzles available here. The only time I missed a few days playing was when our power was knocked out. Really, really LOVE the new killer sudoku! It’s, well.....killer! The color picture cross is my second favorite. Picture cross is addictive and color picture cross is beyond! Doing the new daily page is something I really look forward to. I just have one question/criticism. Why aren’t there any new special pages? I’m a subscriber and I still dutifully watch ads to gain tokens and I’ve bought tokens. There’s nothing to spend them on! I’ve replayed my favorite games many times. I wish you had put out more special pages in the last few months. Still a big fan!
Updating the wrong thing
by Kara's mom 13 on 2020/05/28 16:20
I always gave it 5 stars after every update except for the past 3. What’s up with updating to create new puzzles but ignoring all the bugs that continue to worsen with every update? How about you fix the achievements section so that we don’t complete a page/puzzle/special page/special issue, for absolutely nothing because your achievements section no longer updates after every puzzle showing you’re not advancing at all? How about testing your update before sending it to all of us so that pre-existing puzzles, oh idk (like the anagram), stop freezing/crashing & cause a reboot? Or better yet.... how about fixing the fact that after this new update the app ONLY WORKS when cellular data or WiFi are available? So if you’re stuck as a passenger on a long trip somewhere your app page is unusable. I already contacted/emailed & reported these issues to you guys after each update so how about before creating another puzzle..... FIX THE APP. Thank you in advance, from a fan & a subscriber that’s been here from the very start but is seriously considering deleting it forever.
Extremely fun, but tokens are a problem.
by LoCeeBel on 2018/08/18 12:23
All of the puzzles are extremely fun and challenging, although I wish there were fewer crosswords and a little more variety - like, more picture sweeps, codewords, and Kakuro puzzles, instead of some daily pages having 4 different varieties of crossword puzzles... but other than that, I hadn't even heard of some of these puzzle types, and it's tons of fun. BUT - Tokens have been a problem in EVERY single game that these developers have released. They have such fun and challenging games, but they pressure you to spend real money on tokens. If you haven't subscribed to the app, then you get bombarded with full-volume 30-second ads, and you win a measly amount of tokens and a large amount of coins. Coins are only helpful for hints, and it's easy to accumulate thousands of coins that you don't need. Tokens are required to play puzzles, and you often need 70 tokens to complete a daily page, but you'll probably only earn 20-30 tokens in a day of playing, meaning you'll probably run out of tokens and won't be able to play anymore unless you spend real money to get more. Also, I've actually subscribed, but now the app has stopped giving me tokens for completing challenges. Seems to me like the developers want me to stay subscribed, or else I won't be able to afford playing anymore. It's clear now that these guys just want money, and they're willing to destroy the fun of the gaming experience in their greedy pursuit.
Quest Issues
by Futility1912 on 2020/05/01 14:28
I am not a subscriber, so I rely on the quests and the cards to get enough diamonds to play each day. I’ve had the app for about a week and today, when I needed the diamonds from the quests and cards to continue playing the daily page, I didn’t get credit for one of the quests. It was complete a puzzle for 3 consecutive days, so I went back through the past 2 days of puzzles and found that I had completed a Picture Cross and a Crossword on each of those daily pages. I completed today’s Picture Cross and Crossword and still hadn’t received credit for the quest. I only had enough diamonds left to play 1 more game, so I did a Crossword from the introduction special issue but still didn’t receive credit for the quest. Very disappointed that there is an issue with logging the quests, as it feels intentional to force people to buy a subscription. I love the app, but won’t pay for it and if I can only do a couple of puzzles with the diamonds earned each day it really isn’t worth the space it takes up on my phone. ☹️
Fully engaging!
by Guam Bomb 671 on 2020/04/27 08:05
This is a wonderful mix of different puzzles accommodate most skill levels. I try to use it every morning as part of my wake up (and b coherent) routine. It’s SUCH a good mix, that I recommended it to my aging mother who is worried about her declining mental facilities. She insisted that she used to do sudoku and crossword puzzles but I pointed out that doing the same type of puzzle won’t keep her mind as nimble. I suggested this app and told her that I would pay for a subscription for her if she liked it. I don’t know if this is actually aiding her mental acuity, but she isn’t so worried anymore. :) so now, we challenge each other daily to finish the page. Thanks Puzzle Page! :) If there was a single thing that I could add to my wish list, it would be a dark mode. I’ll sometimes open this during the night, as I wake up periodically. It would be AWESOME to not be blinded. 👍🏽👍🏽🤞🏽
Best puzzles, hate the tokens!!
by Mel8209 on 2018/11/20 00:34
This is by far the best puzzle game I’ve played. I love all the games with picture cross being a new found love for me. Why three stars??? Earning tokens is ridiculous! Each puzzle cost 10 tokens to play, yet you only earn 20 free tokens per day. Yes, you can earn a few more by watching ads but those are limited. Lately I can’t even finish the daily page with the free tokens I’ve earned in a day. Tapjoy is another way to earn and it’s plain awful. They want all your info, just slight of your social security number, all to earn 12 tokens or less. And then you are bombarded with spam email and soliciting phone calls. I’m all set with that. Or you can play their games, and that’s another horror. Some take you half hour or more to complete; you get excited that you’ve earned 50+ tokens and then tapjoy doesn’t pay you!! Developers need to find another way to make money. If this doesn’t change, I will sadly be deleting this game. Very sadly...
Hey brain, WAKE UP!!!!
by Ohcarolz on 2019/08/25 17:58
These Puzzles are a great way to get my brain going in the morning and being 62 years old, sometimes I need to clear the fog at other times of the day. I like the way you can decide if you want to simplify the puzzles or play them st their most challenging. If I don’t have a lot of time in the morning I will play the fastest level. I wasn’t so impressed with the way I was almost forced to “subscribe” in order to play more than one game at a time. Once the tokens ran out (which you have to pay for each puzzle) I was having to watch a bunch of video advertisements for other games that I wasn’t interested in, in order to earn tokens or coins. I’ve only explored a couple of new games and will continue to keep my brain cobweb free while trying more and more games.
GLITCHING KILLER SUDOKU
by Jules12349 on 2019/07/09 17:39
Finally just went in and paid to subscribe for a month and I’m (obviously) enjoying the app much more and playing more puzzles. There is a new issue since the last update. When playing killer sudoku, sometimes when I click on a box to pen in a final selection for the box, it will not pen it in AND it will delete some of the small penciled numbers in that box and other boxes. This totally screws me when completing the puzzle, because it will delete valid little numbers and I end up thinking the final number is something it’s not. Even if I undo the move and try again, it still does this, so I have to try to catch all the numbers it deletes to reinput them. I am not sure if it does it on regular sudoku as I don’t play that as often. I have a screen video of it if any developers care for that. *Edited to add that I filled out the form on the website to inform the developers. I am awaiting response*
Expectations not lived up to, tokens are useless
by Grace F Sweeney on 2020/02/23 16:37
When I first got Puzzle Page, you could say I was excited. Being a bit of a brainiac, I was up for challenges and puzzles to mess with my knowledge. But my expectations were not lived up to. If you wish to do any sort of puzzle from this days options, it costs ten tokens. If you finish all of the puzzles from today and wish to do some from other days, it costs you 20 tokens. To gain tokens, you get 5 from watching a pointless add and 1 per ten minutes. Within 2 days, all of my tokens were gone from playing puzzles, and I was not interested in watching 2 adds just to gain tokens. My only other option was to pay. Puzzle Page tricks you into paying for more tokens, but then those tokens only last for 15 puzzles. If you wanted unlimited tokens, you of course had to pay again for a subscription. This is my 5th day with the app, and I can confidently say I am deleting it after this review. Please don’t get tricked by this Puzzle Page into paying for useless tokens. Overall, awful experience.
Soooo glitchy
by chrissytina ^_^ on 2019/11/13 04:22
I love this app. It has the best variety of puzzles that get your brain thinking. Easily five stars. A lot of people like to complain about the amount ads, but I get it. I really don’t mind them, and I understand that you get what you pay for. I like the watch ads option to earn tokens. My main frustration at the moment, though, is just how buggy the app is! It gets worse after every update. I cannot get through a single puzzle anymore without having to force close and restart. And then, when I do restart, the quest is different, so now I don’t earn the point towards the prize for the puzzle I’m working on. I just had to restart the app three times to finish the one puzzle I was working on. It used to freeze very rarely until a few months ago. Then it would freeze only during ads. But, the past few weeks, I literally cannot use the app. I usually just give up on the daily page because I get frustrated with the amount of app freezing. Please fix soon!
Fun but very British
by Kay_Rock on 2019/06/07 18:31
There are many things I love about this app. A whole new page of puzzles every day in a variety of styles and varying levels of challenge. But I despise the crossword puzzles. Never before have I been so aware of the fact that American English and British English are two vastly different languages. And apparently the “rules” of crosswords are slightly different there as well. The clueing they use would often be rejected here. And the answers are often very challenging because so many of them are based on cultural slang. And even common, every day words have very different meanings there. Sometimes, when I finally get an answer, I am stunned at how much it does NOT match the clue. For a long time I thought their puzzle creators were just mildly illiterate, and then I realized it is just a different language. I dread doing the word puzzles, but the quality of the rest makes it worth it.
Update ruined it
by Aidan not Aiden on 2019/02/13 20:46
I never had a problem with this app until it updated. Now every time I start to play a game a banner ad comes up on top with no way to close it, blocking the hints, instructions, and exit—so if I want to go back to the main page I have to force close and restart the app. That was annoying, but manageable. What pushed me over the edge is the glitches in the game. I paid my tokens to play killer sudoku. I wish I could attach the screenshots of this game. I have numbers 1-6 available. I have single squares saying they equal 7, two squares which apparently equal 13 (but the highest number I can make is 5+6=11), and single squares that are just EMPTY. I had a single square equaled to 4, so I put a 4 in there. I spent coins to fill in the single =7 square and it told me my 4 (in the single square equaled to 4) was wrong, but didn’t fill in the =7 square, and I know I used the right hint. The game is literally unsolvable without spending the coins! It’s ridiculous! I will keep my review at 1 star until the problems from the most recent update are fixed.
“Free to play” if you want 2 puzzles per day
by StashKitty on 2019/02/06 21:09
Initially you can earn tokens to play all 7 daily games by watching 17 ads. After a month though the section of the page where you can earn tokens becomes a riddle section. Thereafter you can play only two games per daily page without a pretty steep subscription of $5.99 per month. I don’t mind limited free games for trial purposes. That’s quite reasonable to say you can play free for a certain period of time, a certain number of turns, up to a certain score, etc. in order to evaluate whether you’d like to purchase the game. The way they set this up feels slimy because they weren’t up front about the agreement. They didn’t mention the play parameters would change after a month to try to push you into buying a subscription. An app that costs $72 per year to play and the price may change without warning at any time. I knew that was a bad deal up front. I feel really bad for parents who allow a child a free trial on this game and then have to explain how corporate greed and false advertising work to a child or teen may well vent their frustration on the parent for not caving in to this bait and switch. The good news is that there are apps that let you play soduko, kukaro, and the others for free or for a modest fee ($1-$2 without subscription). I recommend that route unless you already know you want to pay $72 a year to play games you could buy outright for pocket change if only you poke around a bit in the app store.
Enjoy but a few criticisms
by MJG145 on 2020/01/15 00:20
I really enjoy this game and I don’t even mind watching ads for tokens BUT over the last few days the ads got glitchy and are now barely available to watch. Sometimes they crash or can’t be exited out of so I get no tokens even after watching an ad. I wish it was possible to trade coins for tokens even if it’s a high conversion like 100 coins = 1 token. I considered subscribing but then I realized that even if you pay it only makes the daily puzzles free. I feel like if I’m paying for the game I shouldn’t have to rely on the token system at all. If I got access to every single puzzle with no need to ever use tokens, I would go ahead and subscribe. But just for daily puzzles, I can’t do it. But I still love playing the puzzles and I love the variety. This is a great game for puzzle lovers. I just wish they would work out these slight issues.
No Longer a Subscriber to this one!
by MacDaddyXL on 2019/11/05 19:10
I enjoyed Puzzle Page in the early stages and touted it to loved ones and friends. I even became a yearly subscriber. Then...I didn’t renew my subscription, but had over 1,500 Green tokens to use to play daily puzzles at 10 tokens per puzzle (logged in daily and got 50% off each day to make the tokens last). In addition, I routinely watched the ads to acquire more tokens to use - usually about 5-10 ads per day just for the free tokens. Day by day I noticed my token count swiftly moved done at an unbelievable pace. So I started paying attention to the actual count and noticed the game was swiping 40 tokens from me each time I accessed a puzzle - including puzzles that I had already activated/started. I went from 1,000s of tokens to 0 in about 2 weeks and I only play the daily puzzles. Most of the tokens were acquired from when I was a paying customer. This developer will not see any more money from my end. I was so close to signing back up for a yearly subscription - before I started paying attention!
New update is kind of annoying
by CrunchatizeMeSenpai on 2019/02/08 13:07
I probably would have given this a 4, maybe even 5, prior to this new update, but it’s down to a 3 right now. The banner ads are either glitched, or were not thought through very well. They appear at the top of the screen, blocking off the player’s view of the “clue” section and generally acting as a distraction. Even if they were at the bottom (where it seems like they’re supposed to be, given the blank gray space down there), the fact that they’re always changing around is very distracting when we’re trying to focus on finding a solution to a puzzle. They should really be confined to only appearing on the pages where you choose your puzzles. Also, smaller gripe: the new puzzles that show up on the page are often quite difficult, with no hint system built in for them. It’s a cool idea, but I feel like I’m just shooting in the dark when trying to solve some of them. And while I’m here, I guess I’ll just leave a suggestion I’ve been wanting to leave for awhile. In crossword-type puzzles, like One Clue and the like, it would be extremely helpful to have a hint option that scrambles the letters around. All this aside, I still think this is a wonderful time sink if you’re sitting around with nothing to do- one of the most fun mobile games I’ve played. Just needs a little work to fix this new update.
Glitches in crossword puzzle...
by ThereNBackAgain on 2018/10/23 03:44
I’ve been enjoying the various puzzles for the most part for less than two weeks and appreciate the variety between different days. However, I experienced a problem with the crossword puzzle for October 22, 2018 with several word clues (ex: 9 Down gave me the letter count as (4,2) but there are 7 spaces... so that answer was “spot on” with an added ‘o’ at the end... then 14 Across had the clue “computer file” but there was an ‘o’ where the ‘I’ should have been if the answer is “file”, however the answer approved was “fole”...[that’s just 2 examples of the 5 I experienced]) I find this a little frustrating as I really enjoy puzzles and this one had several inaccuracies. I even had to spend coins to use clues because I was confident only to discover the typos and mistakes. Someone should check into this issue to prevent this again... I’m going to be a little apprehensive playing this in the future.
I Play It Every Day
by organgeboxcutter on 2020/06/12 17:41
Almost as soon as I found this app I became a subscriber. I like the variety of types of puzzles, the frequent updates, and introductions of new puzzles. There are only two puzzles I dislike; the rest are fun and challenging. To make things more interesting, it’s obvious the developers use British English — the crosswords sometimes pop up with British slang or word usages. I do have one suggestion: once you complete a puzzle, it is removed instantaneously, too quickly for you to look it over. After that, you can’t call it up again, the only choice given you is to replay the puzzle. Is there any way to click on a completed puzzle and have the choice of just looking at it, clues and all in the case of crosswords, without changing anything or redoing the puzzle?
The token price to reward ratio is horrible
by udontneedtoseemynickname on 2020/08/13 00:30
As far as the actual puzzles go, it’s a great game... if you can find a way to hoard enough tokens to actually play. It costs 20 tokens per game (unless you’re playing the days page and use the “discount” that drops it to 10tokens), and if you finish the puzzle half the time, and I’m being generous with the “half”, you’ll receive 5 tokens. Already, best case scenario, you’re spending 20 tokens to win back 5. Also, today I finished a page of 9 puzzles at 10 tokens each (90 total to play all) and my reward for completing the page, drumroll.... 5 tokens. 🤨 so unless you wanna watch ads for 5 tokens a pop you’re left with the option of paying for tokens or not playing until the next day when you can receive between 10-15 tokens for the day. If they stoped being so stingy with the tokens then I would be more than happy to leave a better rating, cause as I said, the puzzles themselves are pretty fun.
Good...Aside from the Monetization
by Vinyl Darkscratch on 2019/11/26 17:00
I do enjoy solving a good puzzle every once and a while, and I found this app in the App Store recently, so I decided to give it a shot. It’s a good and simple app with a lot of puzzles, but there’s always room for improvement. In this case, it’s primarily related to the monetization. First off, I don’t like when apps have microtransactions, especially if it’s critical to playing the game. I know that’s a big way that most mobile games make their money, and I’m fine with that, but I’d love to have a way to still play a game without purchasing tokens of any kind. This app features a monthly/yearly subscription service that I thought would be the solution to that issue (though I’d rather just buy it once and be done), but that doesn’t seem to be the case. One of the selling points is that you no longer need to worry about tokens, but this is not true; in special issues, you only get five free puzzles a day before you have to start getting tokens again. While you can get them through watching ads, there’s a daily limit on how many ads you can watch for free tokens/coins, too. It’s pretty nice having an app with so many different types of puzzles, but if you’re like me and you just want to focus on the edition bundles they have rather than the daily articles, I’d suggest saving the storage space and just downloading PDFs from the internet for now.
Love this!
by Rah_Sha on 2019/04/11 14:48
Love the variety of puzzles and have found a new love, Picture Cross. Puzzles cost tokens but you acquire some each day you log in, and you can get additional ones by watching videos. Most videos are appropriate for all ages but the other day I came across one not appropriate for kids. My 12-year old downloaded this and I wouldn’t want him to see a video with half-naked women. As far as the subscription, I think it’s too much and will not pay. Instead of a subscription cost, it would be nice when you run out of tokens you could “buy” more with the coins acquired. Coins are so easy to get and, unless you use them for hints often, you end up with a lot. Also, love that you can go back in time to previous days and months to play other puzzles.
Too many ads
by smartin0385 on 2018/09/07 15:05
I understand the app being ad supported, but this is crazy. You need to pay 10 tokens to unlock a puzzle. There are usually 7 puzzles on the daily page. You are given 20 a day for using the app on consecutive days. To earn the rest of the tokens you must “watch” videos, some as long as 45 seconds. As your reward you are given 5 tokens, meaning that you must watch 10 ads to get enough tokens to complete the daily page. Problem is, you only have the ability to earn tokens watching 9 videos, leaving you 5 tokens short on completing a page. That doesn’t mean your done watching videos. Every time you complete a puzzle you get another video (sometimes 2). If I’m being forced to watch these additional videos, I should at least earn enough tokens to complete the daily page. I like most of the puzzles, but only gave 2 stars because of the ads and inability to complete a daily age with the tokens “awarded”.

Since most recent update the game is not loading. I tap on it and nothing happens.

Hard to know if I’d really like the game since it’s so frustrating.

by arill1970 on 2020/10/15 23:59
Nice variety of daily games.

Will be cancelling before next renewal.

i do not play alot of games on my phone or hardly at all. however this app keeps me entertained when books dont always give an adequate example of how to do a puzzle. the videos that accompany hard ones like picture cross or pictocross. never really understood it untill i watched the video and their meaning of groupings. now i have a new puzzle i enjoy. not only that i now have the hang of cross word. my dad excelled at it with no problems but i couldnt remember every word like he could. now its actually fun to attempt and complete. yall got a great app. the help pages are also pretty decent when it comes to explaining the puzzle you wish to attempt. 👍

by ThatOneGirlYana on 2020/10/10 16:41
The games themself are great.

❤️One of the best apps I've ever come across!

The latest update
by slcme on 2020/10/05 06:10
I really enjoy this page and would give it 5 stars most days. But at the first of the month, when they’ve added new content (which is great) I have to uninstall and then install again. The latest version won’t load at all
Update
by Chris91292 on 2020/10/05 00:00
I have loved working these puzzles for about 2 years. I am a subscriber for the second year. Just did the update and the app won't open! I have turned my wifi off and on. I have turned my device off and on. I don't want to delete and reinstall because I will lose my subscription! Not happy!!
Too many ads
by CarrieLilBits85 on 2020/10/04 13:27
It used to be good. I didn’t mind watching ads to get more tokens but now I use tokens to “pay” for a game and STILL am forced to watch ads before and after each game whether I use tokens or not. ENOUGH!!
Fun to play again
by hatesittingstill on 2020/10/04 12:46
The October update seems to have fixed the problems that were causing the games to hesitate and stall. So much better to play now.THANK YOU!
my favorite app
by mellieforyellie on 2020/10/03 03:59
i use this app to relax before bed every night, too calm down from anxiety attacks, or to just pass the time. there’s so many different kinds of puzzles to choose from no matter what i’m in the mood for, and the subscription is COMPLETELY worth it. my only suggestion for improvement is can you PLEASE add a dark mode option? i often play to wind down at night and the blaring white background is so hard on my eyes, even with brightness all the way down and night shift on. thank you for the amazing app and all your hard work!

App has started crashing my iPad

Great idea
by slartibarphast on 2020/09/21 02:14
I love the execution it’s like a puzzle book or newspaper. One idea might be to offer a “ban” for a type of puzzle you dislike. I don’t know if the daily pages are for all or generated per user. If user, an option to “ban” a type would be great. I hate the tic tac toe puzzle, be nice if I never got those.

Great Games
by allieo1990 on 2020/09/20 17:03
I love the puzzles in this app - it’s like all my favorite little games in one and I don’t mind watching videos to play on a non subscription.

Puzzle Page is great!!

You rock!
Bugs
by Forreals& on 2020/06/12 13:54
This game is pretty good.

Love this!
