Description
Do you need security and Web protection for your devices? Yes, lookout! If you surf the web, log into email or use public Wifi, you are exposing your privacy and sensitive information (like passwords and browsing history) to online threats. Your devices carry a lot of information and may be at risk. Norton has an all-new security app which helps deliver powerful protection for your device and personal information against cyber threats and online scams. norton mobile security notifies you when it’s time to take action. Help stop cybercriminals from stealing your passwords, bank account number or other personal information. ►Wifi Security - Uses advanced scans to help detect and notify you about unsecure Wifi networks, and those under attack by cybercriminals eavesdropping on your Wifi connection to steal or glean personal information from the web sites you visit or infecting your device with malware. ►Web Protection - Helps detect and safeguard you from navigation to scam and malicious websites when using your preferred browser, app, SMS, and Email. Helps keep your device clean from viruses and malware as well as privacy of your personal information secure by helping you avoid online scams. ►Device Security - Alerts you when your operating system (OS) is out of date, so you can take action to secure and protect your device against vulnerabilities that could allow cybercriminals to take control of it or steal your personal information. Our Wifi Security warnings are: ►Wifi Security Green: No suspicious activity detected. ►Wifi Security Orange: You’re connecting to an unsafe or unsecured network. We recommend using a VPN service like Norton Secure VPN to ensure your data privacy. ►Wifi Security Red: The network you’re connecting to is under a man-in-the-middle attack, where an unknown party on the same network is spying on your online activity. We highly recommend that you disconnect. Are there email scams for iPhone users? Yes. Your iPhone may fall victim to phishing or virus scams just like any other device. This is where you are asked to click on a link for various reasons and end up providing your personal information (like user names and passwords to your accounts) and inviting this way viruses and malware. This may occur through email or text messages. Are there risks with an outdated OS? Yes. An outdated OS can create vulnerabilities and opportunities for cybercriminals. By notifying you of the latest security patches and iOS updates, norton mobile security helps you keep your operating system up to date – one of the best ways to stay secure from old vulnerabilities and exploits. ------------------------------ ►SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS •norton mobile security Subscription: Delivers powerful protection against cyber threats and online scams. •30-day free trial requires activation of annual subscription. •Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. •Subscription will renew automatically at the end of the subscription term unless canceled. Norton causing issues with iPhone 11
by Screaming in Houston on 2019/12/08 23:44
For some reason I cannot get Norton to update. Attempts, but won’t complete update. After reading a previous comment, I wonder if Norton is responsible for inability to back up to the cloud and recurring restart issues. Seems to work fine on iPad and desktop pc, but numerous issues with iPhone 11 especially when utilizing WiFi.
VPN - Very, Very Bad
by JW-99 on 2019/12/07 22:09
With VPN on & no WiFi VPN kills the cellular connection. iPhone shows LTE & 2 to 3 bars, but all apps say there is no Internet. Try to turn VPN off & it constantly turns back on by itself. Uninstall app & all apps connect & everthing works fine. On iPad VPN won't turn off either, as it constantly turns itself back on. All it does is degrade the connection. I have been an Android user forever & Norton works great on that platform. On IOS, it's terrible. Going to uninstall it onall my devices.

Horrible App — Locked Up iPhone
by Writer4HisGlory on 2019/11/29 01:13
I should have heeded the advice of other reviewers before installing and purchasing this worthless app. After I installed it on my iPhone X running software version 13.2.3, I could no longer use WiFi to do anything and couldn’t even access Web-based apps via my cellular connection. It may have something to do with the VPN setting (?). In any case, I strongly recommend that you DO NOT use this app.
Facebook
by tharun79 on 2019/11/28 19:28
Anyone noticed while scrolling over Facebook there is a slight delay. Is it Norton trying to blocking some of the tricky crawlers that gather info or Norton just getting too much control of me controlling over what I see ?

This app does not work correctly on my IPhone 8 Plus nor on my 12.9 Ipad 3rd generation. I can be in any other app and it will lock the screen and them it shuts down and a few seconds later my. Ipad and IPhone restart. This has no consistency, it does it when ever it feels like it. I have the latest updates on the IOS and all my apps.

Not happy with the VPN
by serway on 2019/11/22 04:16
When the VPN is running I frequently have to turn it off when using Google. It does not matter if it’s a trusted site it locks up and slows me down. It’s annoying and I am getting ready to remove it so I can have a functioning device again.
I HATE LifeLock
by Ilpt on 2019/11/21 02:37
Oh My Gosh! At home doing nothing but reading and the phone shuts off up to 30 times a day. You don’t need to change page and poof off. Writing in pdf file and poof off along with all your work. If this is Lifelock safe I just as soon be without a phone. It is past unbearable, the amount of work I’ve had to redo is **** !!!
Customer Service is worthless!
by Northern Frustration on 2019/11/19 22:16
I was going on my second year of service with Norton. Didn’t have any issues until I changed my phone number. I couldn’t access my account. Contacted customer service and they said I would have to set up a new account because of the two factor authentication (?). Anyway, I asked why can’t they just change it to my new phone number. They said they can’t do that. Never received an answer as to why. I’m very frustrated. Asked them for a phone number. After a few tries of asking for a phone number to talk to someone, they finally gave it to me and said the answer would remain the same, no refund and I would have to set up a new account. As a customer, I am supposed to trust these guys? Absolutely NOT! I will take my business elsewhere. If I could give negative stars, it would. Never seen a customer service like this. I would caution people before using this company. Ultimately, it’s your decision.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS APP TO ANYONE!!!!
by Alex230zombie on 2019/11/19 20:05
So I got this app a little bit ago and I had 35 dollars in my account. So I did not like it so not finding anyway to cancel I I just deleted norton, think that worked? No! I was charged for weeks until my acount was down to .24 so I had 24 cents and I was broke then they text me telling me I need to pay them or update payment F**CK this app I want a re-fund . If I could put 0 or -5 stars I would but for now it’s going to be 1 star for using all my birthday money. It better pay me back!!!
Better delete the app if you cancel the trial
by pookerella on 2019/11/17 18:13
Just like its intrusive program on your computer, it will bug you if you don’t subscribe. This app wasn’t bad, but it also wouldn’t let me connect to my cable company’s app and kept blocking the connection, so I cancelled the trial subscription. Now it sends reminders you should continue to subscribe. So even though they urge you to keep the app, delete it. There is always one issue or another with Norton. I couldn’t find how to allow my cable company’s app to work properly. Otherwise, not bad. I felt more secure. Don’t know if it’s necessary, though.

Disappointed with Performance
by BillinVirginia on 2019/11/17 15:27
I downloaded Norton Mobile Security to my MacPro Notebook, iPhone and iPad. It appears to work fine on my notebook, but problems persisted on my iPhone and iPad, so I had to uninstall on both. I have a Comcast Internet Home Network and was unable to open Apps. I could not download mail, nor download App updates. After two days of use, I was forced to uninstall from the iPhone and iPad. After uninstalling, everything started working again on both devices. As a Comcast Internet customer, I received Norton Mobile Security for free, so I was very, very disappointed!

Wrong App.
by Seahawk190 on 2019/11/05 00:13
Why pay for a security app that tells you to buy another app to be secure? Norton recommends buying a VPN in addition to this app because the VPN included with this app is not used as a VPN. Go figure. The app description says it has a VPN, and your device will show a VPN is connected, but they tell you it is not a true VPN. Also, the app tells you when your wifi connection is password-protected, and when your iOS needs updating, but you already have that information without this app. Since Apple iOS already provides great security, what good is this app?

App constantly tries to sell other Norton products
by s'ad;lkfnmas;lgk on 2019/11/03 13:43
All this app seems to do is constantly trigger notifications to buy the Norton VPN app. Very annoying. If I’m not careful one of my kids might accidentally click on these messages and buy a $50 dollar vpn when I already have one. Very disappointed that Norton has such an annoying product that seems to do little other than push the sales of it’s other products. I finally had to deinstall it to make the constant messages go away. Much easier to just use one of the myriad of cheaper VPN tools than put up with constants push sales from this app.

Hacked and could not repair
by pasnipe on 2019/11/01 20:31
I have Norton full service through Xfinity. Used it for three years. Suddenly the big red screen appeared that I had been hacked. Spent three days on line with the Xfinity techs. Installed a new modem through Xfinity. Within minutes hacked again. They connect me with Robert their norton guru. I waited for an hour before he answered. He told me my iPad and iPhone were infected with versus, to take to a repair shop. I called Apple they check my devices and suggest I remove norton. Norton was disconnecting my home modem service, I could not use my house modem without seeing the hacked screen. Outside my home I had no problems on my iPhone and I could connect my iPad through my iPhone (at home) with no problems. I finally disconnected my norton service and am now trying to find a reliable vpn.

False errors about compromised Home WiFi network
by Popposreeder on 2019/10/30 00:41
I really liked this app when I 1st loaded it but then after several months it now gives me “WiFi network is comprised by a third party”. This is me Home network that is password protected and encrypted. My wife’s IPhone does not give this massage and shows secured. Very flustered.
Why did you update?
by jop1069 on 2019/10/29 20:05

I use Spectrum and my computer does not reflect such — only my iPad and phone. Please back out your update and have someone to test it before implementing. Is this just to purchase another application? Please HELP. This is annoying.

Norton has ruined my WiFi on iPad
by gleddy2015 on 2019/10/29 06:10
I upgraded my iOS on my iPad. It had Norton installed in the system. Now it prevents my WiFi from connecting fully even when I am online. There is no wifi bars in the header any more. I can not uninstall Norton but I can tell it is the problem. Would love to hear from folks on how to get rid of it.
What did you do? Your update is causing problems
by Angdentandt on 2019/10/28 07:07
What did you do? Your update is causing problems! I’ve had norton on my iPhone for a few weeks and all of the sudden I am getting this message: ”norton mobile security your personal data and communications are exposed to an attacker on this network” This is only happening on mine and my hubby’s iPhones, not in our laptops… will you have an update to fix this soon? I’ve already changed password to my router etc. I honestly feel like you are pushing your VPN product on me… I already have VPN active on both iPhones so I feel the recommendation to purchase your VPN and this “alert” is a scam to sell your product!! FIX IT ASAP ITS EXTREMELY ANNOYING HAVING THIS ALERT POP UP EVERY MINUTE!!!!

by dfoxmi on 2019/10/26 19:01
The app seems buggy. I have problems connecting at home. Tonight the only solution was to uninstall and reinstall. Tech support just seems happy that the problem is solved today and seems unconcerned that daily I am wasting time. Waiting now for over a week to get a response from customer support after my case was escalated. I did get a response to either this review or the one VPN that I left there. I’ve responded to them three times, but haven’t heard anything back. I don’t think they really care. They need to get their act together.

by NurseMo48 on 2019/10/25 14:16
I love my iPhone and iPad to be protected at all times.I recently purchase Norton 360 with LifeLock all in one which includes vpn . So far this one of the best vpn security ever.. I was with nord vpn for quite sometime now.Which is pretty good too the only problem I had which is :it kept cutting off in certain areas. Off and on . Which I was paying 11.99 mo .I figured I’ll try Norton 360 with LifeLock for 9.99mo and it’s good .no problem, I love that you can talk to a live customer service representative 24/7 . I called at 11:00 pm the other night just to ask a general question.. and he was very nice and tentative to my needs. As of right now I’ll stay with Norton 360 security vpn.

Not As Expected
by xxtragic07xx on 2019/10/25 01:51
I don’t use Wi-Fi outside of my dedicated provider so this portion of the app wasn’t useful, I can see how it would be for others though. Not looking for a vpn in a product I was expecting virus and malware scanning from. I’m set to auto update on my device so this feature was also not useful. I would like a virus and malware scanner for my device, which is what I was expecting, not just something that attempts to prevent it. If there is a way to scan your device it was not clear or labeled or even described in any screen selection or settings screen. Love this on my laptop, wish it was the same here.

Painful and Support Pingpong
by AustinGal45 on 2019/10/11 17:44
Renewed my annual subscription across devices. First after numerous emails from Norton to renew I finally moved forward since they try to auto-renew too early. I turn off auto renewal and renew a few days prior the renewal. My online account is only showing my PC and iPad active and not my iPhone even though my iPhone shows on my iPhone as active. Contacting support is painful. Very painful. Repeating the same info over and over and over. They go in circles. If I go by my online account then I can add 3 more devices for the 5 max. Then support says now they only show iPad and iPhone but not my PC!!!! OMG!!’ I wanna scream. Now they are telling me to reactivate Norton on my iPhone. Ugh, not like I haven’t told them I have already done this several times. I will use another product next year.

Had this on my phone as Norton has been great on my PC for numerous years.. All of a sudden, Norton mobile security and secure VPN quit working. I have followed the uninstall and reinstall process and it still isn't working ... If I can't get this to work will be forced to get rid of something that should work but doesn't and the bad part is, I have a subscription with my home PC so I will also be forced to pay for something I can't use....totally unfair and am considering asking g for my money back...no joke

App doesn’t work properly with iOS 13. The app shows that the VPN is not connected, but in settings it’s on. When the VPN is activated, I get disconnected from the internet. I have to turn off WiFi or delete the VPN to get back on. It was working great.... until iOS 13!

Big Trouble with IOS 13.1 (OK with iPadOS 13.1???)
by HWE46 on 2019/09/27 11:02
On two iPhone XRs version 1.5.1331 of the app always reports Web Protection as inactive. It spins if toggled to activate. But, the VPN badge displays normally in Notifications and, in IOS Settings, both Norton Mobile Security and Secure VPN show as “Connected”. Net: Have to assume that it isn’t working but I’m not certain. Delete app, Restart phone, Reinstall app doesn’t help. Weirdly, Web Protection works normally in iPadOS 13.1 on an iPad Pro. One more annoying glitch in an app that does NOT “just work” without a lot of fiddling. In a previous review I rated the app even lower, but except for this situation updates have improved it. Hope Norton fixes this ASAP!
Slows down app use.

I tried this & while at home using my home WiFi, my apps will not load or even work properly. I had to turn off WiFi just to use my apps.

Norton VPN
by romierome62 on 2019/09/24 17:15
This is a decent vpn app. But the problem I can't get resolvedis that it won't turn on my web protection for quite some time now. I sent report haven't gotten a response which is annoying being that they take your money. I would like this issue fixed today. Again it says " WEB PROTECTION INACTIVE" even when I tried turning it on it just won't connect.
Going to have to uninstall
by DMH78 on 2019/09/24 02:58
I downloaded this app because Norton is a pretty good anti virus but the way this app is eating my battery life and it has made half my internet useless. With this installed, it takes 10-15 minutes for Facebook comments to load. I’m pretty disappointed but with me still in the free trial period, I might as well figure this out.
Norton fix this
by str8 horror on 2019/09/21 18:24
Why is it that every time I get online or should I say ( trying to get online) it freezes and you wait and nothing. So I turn of web protection and just like that back to normal. You need a way for people to be able to have a way to block on safe websites, and have a allowed list.
It’s been a disaster
by Buzz33330 on 2019/09/20 17:49
Before ios13 it was very slow on home wifi, turned off to bring the phone back to speed. Away from home it simply didn’t work so to use the phone it was turned off. Now that I have iOS 13 it doesn’t want to work with home Wi-Fi so I removed it from the phone! Seems to also drain the battery with excessive data processing. Very disappointed, was a waste of money. I didn’t expect this from Norton
Does Not Work and Crashes iPhone 8
by TravelersAmongUs on 2019/09/20 08:50
Shortly after installing this app and the Secure VPN app, I began encountering difficulties accessing the internet from any Wi-Fi spot. (I am currently based in Turkey.) As I pay a great deal for the anti-virus/VPN bundle for my PC, I was reluctant to give it up without a fight. Unfortunately, things only got worse and the last 2 weeks saw an escalation in my iPhone 8 mysteriously crashing and suddenly restarting on its own several times every hour, which negatively impacted my work. I finally relented and removed just the Secure VPN to test, but my mobile continued to crash and restart (though the episodes did decrease) and warnings of unsecured connections increased. I removed this app and replaced it with NordVPN and all connection issues, crashes, and restarts immediately ceased. As I now have to pay for another service to get the security necessary in these times, I will be evaluating other anti-virus programs for my PC (particularly since the Secure VPN has never worked there either). I should explain that I have had Norton services for many years and was very satisfied with its protection performance... while back home in the States. But as someone who travels extensively outside the States more and more, reliable security is non-negotiable, and I am disappointed to say goodbye to a service I trusted for so long.
There are some kinks.
by gman1592 on 2019/09/20 04:23
The app slowed my WiFi connection down, drained my battery, slowed the connection to messenger and WhatsApp and it slowed the connection to simple tasks on FB. Sometimes it was delayed in scanning my phone itself. It seems like other people have had these same issues. What has been done to improve the app?
Disappointed
by DeaN4U2C on 2018/10/30 20:24
UPDATE: After a couple of hours, I reactivated the “online” function of the app, and it seems to be humming along with no appreciable delays or issues. I will up my rating from two to three stars now, and report on its long-term performance after about a month. When I attempted to browse the web, it not only froze, there were no alerts or notifications as to the reason. I deactivated the VPN (web browsing), so I could access the internet. Now it tells me I am not being protected when I am on the web. It makes some sense. With the function on I cannot use the internet. No chance of running into a malicious site. If that’s the choice, I’ll take my chances and keep it turned off.

Norton Still Has Serious Problems
by Psumtman on 2019/06/23 23:55
Norton, Please fix this app so we are protected & able to use our devices. Having internet security in today’s tech environment is crucial. The problem is I can not use my device unless I sign out then sign back in repeatedly. I currently have the fastest internet service in my area, 1 gbps or 1,000 Mbps. My iPhone can utilize an estimated 350 mbps. That is more than enough for me to surf the internet while I download a movie, download a complete O.S. Etc. The problem is my service acts worse than DSL because of this situation. Norton has tried to fix the problem but every attempt has been a complete failure. Every time I see there’s a new update I cross my fingers hoping they will correct the problem. Instead we are let down. Norton is supposed to be the Standard in internet security. I prefer Norton over other products in the industry. The Norton brand is taking a hit because they cannot perform like they have in the past by correcting problems effectively & efficiently. I know you can fix this problem if you put enough of your top assets on it. At this point you have to do something. I will be happy to edit my review once the situation is handled.
iPhone XR users beware
by pambeeslyyy on 2019/09/12 13:26
I love Norton products... for my laptop. With that said, I was happy to find out I got free mobile protection from my laptop’s protection. I accidentally clicked on a link when I was trying to swipe away and thought immediately my phone was going to be infected with malware. So I downloaded all the Norton apps. Shortly after, my phone began to mess up. It was going slow, it would then freeze and restart on it’s own. It was doing this even without me having to touch it. I ended up resetting the phone and it was fine after. Redownloaded the Norton apps, and what do you know, the same thing happened! At first I thought that maybe the iOS i downloaded was causing it, because the issues started happening again immediately after that. So I reset my phone AGAIN. Took a few days before I remembered to download Norton, but when I did, the issues were back immediately. I almost reset once more, but then decided to try deleting all the Norton apps I had downloaded as a test, and imagine to my (not so) surprise when my phone began to magically work perfectly again. I don’t know if this is an iPhone XR issue, an Apple issue, or a Norton issue, but I won’t be downloading their mobile products anymore.
Why no notification the other app no longer worked?
by CarolMTexas on 2019/05/10 22:17
So we upgraded our Norton plan specifically because we bought an iPad and wanted protection. Today I happen to tap on the icon and it basically says it doesn’t work anymore for iPad and to contact iOS for options. Chatting with norton rep he tells me to uninstall it and reinstall app —-with same name. After that he wants screenshot of error. A little late for that since he had me uninstall it. Why didn’t norton notify us the app was no longer useable for iPad mobile security? I thought they took my security a seriously as I do. Apparently not. So now I have a Strange looking norton app. Strange because I Can’t really tell what, if anything it’s doing because all it says is my home network is secure. The chat rep didn’t know either. Glad it’s not a norton network or I might not know for months. Is this app doing anything at all for my iPad?? How do I know? There’s nothing there to clue me in. So now I’m typing and sending more screen shots via email of what this currently looks like on my iPad and ...someday...maybe....Norton with fix this????
Did not work for me (sighs)
by ABG Crazyman on 2019/06/30 20:20
Unfortunately it did not work for me the way I thought it would, these are the problems I had to endure during the time I used it: - Battery Drain: My phone is a new iPhone 8S Plus and the amount of battery drained before and after having this app is absurd. I could have my phone without charging under normal circumstances for up to (2) days, before installing the app, and after installing it, I had to charge it at least twice a day. Not good at all. - Data consumption: Most of the data consumption after installing this app (at least 70%) came from the app itself. I never had to use up to 5 Gb in one month before installing this app and I was very surprised and annoyed that it would be this way. My normal data usage would be up to 2Gb when really busy. Outrageous! - Internet Connection Issues: Main problem that forced me to uninstall the app was the connectivity issues when I was not connected to my home or work network. I always had to turn off the VPN connection to use the internet when on the road, which cancels out the purpose of the app. Overall, it works great on my laptop, I love it for its easy-to-use approach on my computer but for my phone it was not the case, unfortunately.
It should deliver more clarity and more conclusive protection.
by R-L-Z-4 CkMD on 2019/08/04 11:26
It often happens that a warning shows up saying I shouldn’t visit site “A” because it’s unsafe. Problem is, I am not on site ‘A’ and did nothing to go to site ‘A’. So.. what am I supposed to do? To make it worse, this warning pops up in the middle of reading something on a site, minutes after I get to it. I have no clue whar is the app talking about and which one is the contaminated site, as I may have multiple tabs in a browser and multiple apps open at that time. And none of them is called ‘A’. Neither did I get to any looking for any ‘A’. Why not just block access to the ‘A’ and tell the user what site or app they were visiting contains the suspicious ‘A’, oferring the possibility for the user to unlock access to ‘A’ if they chose to do so, despite the warning?
Questionable worth
by 33roper748 on 2019/02/06 15:02
When NORTON updated their mobile security for iPhones they did no one any favors. The new version at noted by another reviewer often does not recognize my Wi-Fi network and says I am not connected when in fact I am. And the I have to disconnect and and reconnect in order for the Norton app to recognize the network. The other main problem, and this is even far more aggravating in my opinion is the amount of battery that this app use while running in the background. Upon checking I find that over a 10 day period the Norton app had taken up 32% of the battery usage. Over the next 10 days it had eaten up 36% of the battery usage. I got one have better things to do than continually worry about keeping my phone charged because an app is eating up all the battery life. I have removed the app from my phone. I might check at some point in the future to see if Norton has addressed and fixed these issues.

Don’t expect to get any service from Norton!!!
by Granddadx2 on 2019/07/06 14:43
If I could give this app ZERO stars I would!!! I downloaded the app and it installed easily. It then went on to register the license and it couldn’t register it. After 2 different chat sessions with their support staff I finally decided to just uninstall the software. The second support chat was about what I was concerned about with using the software, well I didn’t have any concerns because it won’t work! Neither of the staff could understand that I downloaded the app from the AppStore and it was the 30 day free trial!!!!! Maybe Norton should invest in new support staff. I was throughly disgusted with this company by the time I got done with their garbage support chat sessions. I did want to try it out and see if it is as good as they say but after dealing with this crap support staff is making me think twice about this company. They obviously don’t do a background check on qualifications to get this job!!!!!!!!!!
This app does not support Apple IPad!
by WomansToolBelt on 2019/06/15 17:39
So I provided a review on why I was upset with Norton due to you cannot use the Norton Security on any IPad. A representative from Norton commented on my negative review suggesting that I contact Norton for further assistance. What I now realize is someone from Norton is being paid to lookout for negative reviews like mine so that they can respond that, “they apologize for the inconvenience and suggest that I contact them for further support”. Well I’m one of those suckers bc I did exactly that...I spoke to Norton Customer Support and was told that I can use “Norton” on Apple IPads, so I went ahead and reinstalled everything but shame on me bc I should have listened more carefully ....it will allow you to use the Norton VPN and Password Manager apps. However, when I began to open the security app, I was still blocked from using it. I called Norton again, was transferred to Norton IT who told me that I CANNOT use the Norton Security app on Apple IPads. She explained that IPad users already have a built in system for this purpose. I get that you do not want to antivirus programs on a device. However, how many of us IPad users accidentally download/stumble upon viruses, malware, spyware that somehow has corrupted something on your IPad and never received notification about the bug. All I ever use is my IPad so this app is useless to me.
Repeated reboot and preventing backup
by IBeDisappointed on 2019/06/23 21:05
The app would repeatedly reboot my iPhone when the phone was charging. At first I thought it was problems with “new” replacement phones. Apple worked with me each time to replace the phones. I deleted the app from the third phone and have not had any problems since. I contacted Norton support, but have not heard back. After a short time I reinstalled the app. It seemed to work well with my phone for a couple of months. When our temperatures hit the 90s, I noticed the phone would reboot and thought the battery might be overheating when I work outside. Today iCloud notified me my phone had not backed up in two weeks. When I tried to back up my phone to iCloud with Norton turned on, the phone would shut down and reboot about five minutes in. When I turn Norton Security off, iCloud backed up successfully. I have deleted Norton Security from my phone.
True to its every word!

Not computer literate and was using another highly rated antivirus program because a bit cheaper. But in the back of my mind I always felt my iPhone was vulnerable to others, especially when I did my banking. I thought I would try Norton for that bit of extra security it offers. As I was purchasing the Norton I realized it wasn't as expensive as I thought it was and offered so much more for the minimal added expense. I use my iPhone for pretty much everything. to paying my bills along with going into my bank account. Before in the back of my mind I felt an uneasiness about going into my bank account and doing my banking. Now I feel completely safe in doing my banking, paying credit cards, to surfing the web. Norton made me a believer and as long as I have the internet, I will have Norton downloaded. I feel completely comfortable with them that I sent it to my sons. Keep up the great work Norton, always have me as a customer Regards Feel Safe Now
Hacked and could not repair
by pasnipe on 2019/11/01 20:31
I have Norton full service through Xfinity. I finally disconnected my norton service and am now trying to find a reliable vpn.
only a small prob BUT annoying!
by BostonAbz on 2019/07/29 19:52
Been using Norton products since 1990s and always found them to be the best. But since the latest updates (~week ago) I can’t get rid of the message # app badge DESPITE having turned it off in ios settings. All parameters check out on app’s scans just fine and can’t locate any actual messages in/on app pages, all updates of system fine, have newest app update, etc, but that annoyng “1” on the app on my home screen simply won’t go away. The real problem is that I can’t contact Norton Support or Error Report in any way, when fill out error report the pageshows “send” greyed out, so I can never actually contact anyone!
Watch out for Lifelock
by Alailima on 2019/06/11 17:38
I love my Norton on my Windows desktop, and wanted it on my Apple devices also. However what I received from this App is paired with Lifelock. I both called and chatted with Lifelock and they refuse to delete Lifelock. I chatted with Norton and they say they have nothing to do with Lifelock. Be very careful that this App does not automatically pair you with Lifelock, because Helpdesks on both Norton and Lifelock claim they have nothing to do with the other, and no control over the other.
Norton stealing
by CLFan1 on 2019/06/22 02:18
I have two Norton subscriptions. One is for 10 devices and the other is for one device. I had a device stolen and now that I have a new iPad I want to install Norton. We have 10 other devices in our house that all have Norton installed and running. I removed the stolen device from my Norton profile. When I attempt to login on my new iPad I receive a msg that I have no open seats. Spent 1 hour 20 minutes on the phone today with 3 different Norton tech people all in one call. They were unable to solve the issue and all gave me the same guidance on how to install, but would not listen when I told them I was already told the same thing. I hesitate to buy another Norton subscription as I feel I will be locked out and just waste my money. Looks like I will need to cancel Norton and buy one of the competitors.
Confusing and unclear
by 20 year Norton User on 2019/08/08 18:36
Received an email making me aware that coverage mirroring PC coverage was available. Followed link to App Store. Page opened not on Norton Security, but on Norton Password Protector (!?!) Had to search to find Norton Mobile Security. My primary interest is in protection from email and malicious websites. It is not clear at all from the description if this is even a function of Norton mobile security. It seems to be designed for people sitting in Starbucks all day on Wi-Fi networks concerned about their Wi-Fi being hacked. This program needs to mirror the PC version and clarify the description of what it actually does. It also needs to open directly on the application and not five other Norton programs they would like to sell you. I thought Norton cleared up this kind of ambiguity several years back?
VPN disconnects WiFi
by MrsLJ on 2019/01/01 20:25
I have to turn web protection off to connect to any WiFi, but the second I turn it on again it will disconnect me from whatever WiFi I’m on and will not reconnect until I turn web protection back off in the app. Also, the switch in settings for turning the VPN on and off does not work. As soon as I leave settings, the VPN is on again. The only way to turn it off so that I can connect to WiFi is to go into the app. Update: I was shown that turning WiFi on and off multiple times and waiting several minutes would occasionally allow my iPhone to connect to the WiFi network. I am glad to of regained some ability to connect to WiFi but this is still a tedious and annoying process to have to go through every time I leave the vicinity of my WiFi hotspot.
Nice idea but
by BBozorg on 2018/11/08 14:22
Unusable at this time. Ever since I installed this app, I began to realize my phone would stay on LTE no matter where I was. Usually at home and at work and other places where I have the WiFi key programmed in, my phone should automatically switch to WiFi instead of one bar of lousy cell signal. I’m guessing it’s the aggressive vpn feature of the app which doesn’t seem to turn off ever. I can manually turn on my WiFi and it would work, but then wouldn’t reconnect if I leave the hotspot and come back again. Annoying to have to manually reconnect to a WiFi network your device already has memorized. Anyway, deleted for now, and WiFi immediately fine again. Seems maybe some more work is needed on the app.
Internet connection issue not fixed
by hkmurano on 2019/05/24 18:23
Supposedly the internet connection issue when web protection is turned on is still existing with the latest version. And the chat support on your website was no help and waste of time. Went through 3 support people to chat and ended up with the issue not resolved and just telling me to turn off the web protection and when accessing the internet which defeats the whole purpose of having this software in the first place. So frustrating! Update: looks like it wasn’t just your problem. iOS 12.3.1, the latest os version fixed the problem.

Battery battery battery
by tygerm on 2019/07/02 15:45
The performance in my perspective is fully linked to use of battery on any extend. I have an iPhone XR which the battery normally last all day meaning 24 hours no problem. After I installed the app, the phone can last between 6-12 hours. Why?! Well the more u change networks and/or change Wifis or cell connection the more it works and more battery is being sucked out of the phone. I am not sure about application besides search engines. I have been really contemplating to delete the app because it is making my new iPhone have the same problems that made me get a new one phone which it was battery life.
Sapped my memory
by Samp5183 on 2019/04/20 16:30
Downloaded last night. Went to bed with 100% memory. Six hours later I waked with 46% memory. Settings shows this using 76% of my memory. Having to plug in to write this after disabling everything possible and still have reasonable use of my iPhone. Gave it 2 stars for great features I may not be able to use. Update: finally out of frustration I deleted all Norton apps and reinstalled. Seems to have remedied the problem, still no idea of cause but memory is no longer being sapped out as before.
Useless alerts
by TonyMan388 on 2019/07/16 22:15
Keep getting alerts telling me about unsafe sites. I’m never going to any of those sites anyway so why the alerts? Don’t say it is to alert me to the danger of those sites! Sending me alerts about sites I would never, ever, ever visit makes me think you are trying to validate your worth. That tactic doesn’t work with me. It has the opposite effect. I am on the verge of cancelling your service because of what I feel are bogus alerts to boost your status. I say bogus because I have not, and never intend to, even visit those sites. Now if you want to prove your worth, to me, alert me “when I” actually do try to visit a site that is factually not secure. Until then stop with the worthless alerts
Version 1.1.5 works now
by David Truong on 2019/03/30 21:21
Thank you for the updated app version, it works for me now, now I can login. Oh and for some people that are experiencing a battery problem and if your phone is about 8 months or older it’s most likely your phone, it’s time for a new battery. Changed my battery now my phone works great battery lasts longer now, make sure your iOS is up to date too, this will fix a lot of battery problems.
Repeated warnings without block option
by ccounts 1 on 2019/02/19 16:21
I get repeated recommendations to not use a site I am not using. What do I need to do about this? I want Norton to block it if it’s not a safe site. If they are constantly trying to break into my phone or computer, I want the site to be blocked once and for all. There is no option on this recommendation to block the site. There is only an option to allow it. There should be an option to block it so I don’t keep getting the message over and over many times a day. Please fix this right away, thanks.
I have used Norton for years
by seaspindle on 2019/03/13 14:12
I have used Norton for years, on all computers I have had. I will recommend Norton to anyone who is wanting good safe coverage for their computer. When I got my first computer in the nineties I dealt with crashes and hacks and viruses. Once I put Norton on my computer and kept it updated I no longer had crashes. And it has kept it running smoothly. I am a life time user of Norton.
Problem with Home WiFi
by Wild Type on 2018/11/22 06:24
The Norton Mobile Security app routes web traffic through a VPN and presumably monitors for signs that a website should not be trusted. After having the app on my iPhone 7 with IOS 12 for about a month, I’ve found that this VPN function seems to prevent the phone from using data through my home WiFi network. The LTE symbol is displayed on the phone’s home screen. Oddly enough, the Settings menu shows that WiFi is on and should be connected. Turning the phone off and back on usually fixed the problem, but I finally decided to just delete the app.
Battery drain
by Whazzup1478 on 2019/01/15 12:44
I had a different product last year and decided to switch to Norton this year just to try it out (both Norton and my old product got strong reviews). Now my battery drains really fast. For example, yesterday I hardly used my phone and when I checked it, battery was down to 45%. Normally, my phone would have been down to 85-90%. Battery usage showed Norton using 52% of my battery. Same issue with other devices we have loaded with Norton. I guess the protection is fine, but unless the battery use gets fixed we won’t renew and will try to cancel and get a refund.
So far so good.
by Wild Bill Winneconne on 2018/11/25 04:28
As a former G5 Mac power user (13 or 15 years ago) I used Norton products but found them to slow my system down. Now many years later I have bought new Macs, iPads, iPhones and bought a new subscription to Norton Security. So far loading the software on my devices has been a breeze. First scan on a new MacBook Pro that I only have owned for a couple months turned up and took care of 3 Trojans. I like the idea of the VPN. I hope this VPN does not slow me down. Others have.
Norton is a great Security Organization
by cw2jhg on 2019/01/28 03:47
Review I have been using Norton Security Programs since the 1990’s when I was introduced to their Security Programs in a Federal Government Security Course. I have used and trusted it ever since. I have Norton Wi-Fi Core and it’s great when I hit a site the Core stops me from going to it. The core does give me the option to override but knowing Norton they are way ahead of me in Computer Security.
Settings
by Aldin4 on 2019/01/20 02:47
I feel very safe now using my iPhone no matter where I am. I have just one problem. Why can’t I get into my “Settings” anymore? I can’t look at any of my programs from inside iPhone’s “Settings”. I feel as if I have completely lost control of my phone! I don’t like that feeling but will live with it a few days to see if I get more comfortable. If not, I’m not really sure what I will do. But, I don’t think I can work my phone this way. Deano4
Uses a TON of data and does interferes with data and WiFi
by KenAdamsinFL on 2019/03/06 14:00
When I’m not on WiFi it uses a TON of data. It’s used over 11 GB of data in less than 2 weeks draining my battery, slowing my device and connectivity. It interferes with my home WiFi having to turn my WiFi connection off and on again to get it connected repeatedly and it interferes with and slows down my data connection and downloads when not on WiFi. Plus the VPN offers no actual protection on public WiFi’s, just warnings. That’s not a VPN, a VPN would offer true protection. Without that I just don’t connect to public or unfamiliar WiFi. Just common sense.
Ok, but...
by TeeBoune on 2019/09/19 22:24
Checks various security settings for wifi router. Checks for latest version of iOS. But, gives too many false warnings for websites and even within certain apps (like the eBay app). Also causes problems with wifi. iPad will show that wifi is connected, but it doesn’t work. Turn off VPN and restart iPad and then wifi works again. Too many problems. If I didn’t have a 5-license Norton key, I certainly would not pay for this as a stand-alone app. Contacted Norton support via their website, but no reply.
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST

We have been using Norton for years and they have kept us safe all this time. They offer the BEST IN SECURITY AND SERVICE and they have always lived up to their WORD. Their Support Staff is always ready, willing and able to help you no matter what you’re asking. They are always pleasant to work with and they’re honest to a fault. It can be embarrassing at times. BUT, that’s what they’re there for. We will definitely keep using Norton as long as they are available. They are like a fine wine, they get better with age (improving their products, experiences and support staff). THANK YOU 😊 FOR YOUR WONDERFUL PRODUCT AND KEEP UP WITH YOUR GREAT WORK!!!!!
Working
by Basket Weaver of East Troy on 2018/10/31 01:04
Well a program that apple has on its app list is flagging me that it is a dangerous site. If the 1010 themes app is dangerous I guess it is doing its job if this is a false positive, someone has some work to do. I am not computer savvy enough to figure it out. If it is a dangerous site going there and asking them is dumb wouldn’t you say!

We live in a world of “portable” devices and “mobile” computers. However, tragically we live in a world of HACKERS, IDENTITY THEFT, MALWARE AND RANSOM TAKE OVER. Then NORTONS CAME TO MY RESCUE !!!!!! Now you’re telling me you don’t love my mobile devices, and my portables...you have just abandoned them. Whhhhy, Whhhy??? Didn’t I brag about you daily? I told allll of my friends and family about your outstanding skills. I never let a moment slip by without speaking about how user friendly you are. Let’s not forget about the complete, fully “enclosed” ways you covered my mobile, portable devices. Sometimes while I was using them, I would get these little notes. Don’t forget to scan, your computer just had a “live update, and my favorite...we just blocked a suspicious something. I could just go on and on. But now all of that is a memory. You left me a note..WE NO LONGER OFFER THIS SERVICE! HOW DARE YOU!!!
Norton security data systems

We’ve been with Norton for the past 30+ years. There is no other we trust with our electrical data. They are quick to return all calls and help over the phone with any problems. And go step by step until correct.
Do not download!!
by Misskiss75 on 2019/03/11 15:47
I thought since I had Norton’s on my computer, I could trust this app. NO!! This made my phone go crazy rebooting and draining the battery AND I just had to have the internet guy here because after turning on the VPN I didn’t have any bandwidth left to open pages on my phone or run my firestick! This is bad!! The tech guy said it was running everything down like crazy. As soon as I deleted it, my internet speed came back up and I could stream back on my tv and my phone and he could on his phone. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!
Get real, Norton!
by Mr Justified Complainer on 2019/03/19 02:50
I went on Safari on my iPhone to ‘google’ a movie! Norton pops up with “We recommend that you don’t use this site.” Every thing I click on gets that stupid message! If I follow Norton’s suggestions, I won’t be able to use my iPhone for anything but phone calls & as a clock! Absolutely stupid! And when I go to the report & click on ‘allow this site’, it doesn’t allow it! Keeps interfering with using the same site that I told it to allow! Ridiculous! Fix the Norton software so it works!
Great Company But a CHEAP PRODUCT

I’m sorry Symantec with need a over look on this product thanks And I wish the best on the successful journey

Ultimately, it’s your decision.

by Alex230zombie on 2019/11/19 20:05
So I got this app a little bit ago and I had 35 dollars in my account.

Tired of this app

Paying for ????
by I ain't gonna do it ! on 2019/11/01 02:10
I’m paying for VPN and security and was told tonight that I have ne security!!! They take my money, with no problems. Why does it have to be a problem with what you pay for!!!! And then you talk to someone from god know where, and they hang up on you after almost two hours messing with them!!!! Not happy!!!

What is going on?
by PRice2010 on 2019/10/30 10:28
Over the weekend, I started getting a “WIFI compromised message” all of the sudden. This is on my Norton Core at home. Also, I’m having the same problem at work. Seems to me that it is something with the app. What is going on? I’m pretty frustrated.
Why did you update?
by jop1069 on 2019/10/29 20:05
I have used Norton for years. Since your last update, I’m getting a message, “my xxx network has been compromised” on my mobile devices.

Frustrating.
by dfoxmi on 2019/10/26 19:01
The app seems buggy.

Love protection
by NurseMo48 on 2019/10/25 14:16
I love my iPhone and iPad to be protected at all times.I recently purchase Norton 360 with LifeLock all in one which includes vpn .

This is a decent vpn app. But the problem I can't get resolvedis that it won't turn on my web protection for quite some time now. I sent report haven't gotten a response which is annoying being that they take your money. I would like this issue fixed today.

True to its every word!
by Feel Safe Now on 2018/11/02 16:28
Not computer literate and was using another highly rated antivirus program because a bit cheaper.
I finally disconnected my norton service and am now trying to find a reliable vpn.
only a small prob BUT annoying!
by BostonAbz on 2019/07/29 19:52
Been using Norton products since 1990s and always found them to be the best.

Started then quit
by Powder River on 2019/10/04 02:33
Had this on my phone as Norton has been great on my PC for numerous years..
Working
by Basket Weaver of East Troy on 2018/10/31 01:04
Well a program that apple has on its app list is flagging me that it is a dangerous site. If the 1010 themes app is dangerous I guess it is doing its job if this is a false positive, someone has some work to do. I am not computer savvy enough to figure it out. If it is a dangerous site going there and asking them is dumb wouldn’t you say!
Wrong App.
by Seahawk190 on 2019/11/05 00:13
Why pay for a security app that tells you to buy another app to be secure? Norton recommends buying a VPN in addition to this app because the VPN included with this app is not used as a VPN. Go figure. The app description says it has a VPN, and your device will show a VPN is connected, but they tell you it is not a true VPN. Also, the app tells you when your wifi connection is password-protected, and when your iOS needs updating, but you already have that information without this app. Since Apple iOS already provides great security, what good is this app?
NO. MORE. MOBILE SECURITY!!!!! WHAT?WHAT? WHAT?
by Flavorystar on 2019/04/15 13:50
We live in a world of “portable” devices and “mobile” computers.

Great Company But a CHEAP PRODUCT
by Black Eagle 25 on 2019/10/12 12:28
The company has been working hard to provide a great customer service and a serial of products but in this one I will have to say I pass when you got featured or product that interferes with the full functionality of the device that it’s not longer a plus or must have features even my face time with my job get interrupted, even with a my own home WiFi keep killing it. I’m sorry Symantec with need a over look on this product thanks And I wish the best on the successful journey
