Perfect game

Amazing game only been playing for a year or so and it’s one of the best MMORPG’s I’ve ever played!
Great game :D
by Weston Sequeira on 2019/11/19 23:43
Fell in love with this game in middle school , very happy that mobile has come. Probably the best RPG game on the app marketplace, Plenty of things to do even if you chose to stay free to play , highly recommend members but would try the free to play for a few weeks before you dive in. You can pay for membership via in game currency ( it’s a thing they added after I stopped playing ) which is huge! 9/10 overall Some aspects of the game are difficult on mobile but so far , haven’t had too much trouble. Add me if you need help/have questions in game! Rsn: Bauttosaii

Runescape is not for everyone but the mobile port is of high quality. It’s a full mmo and being able to switch from pc to phone is quite nice.
Bringing the greatest game to your phone!

Unbelievable job bringing old school runescape to mobile :).. the setup is nice and clean once you get used to it and is easy to function with... If id have one small complaint its that the app randomly freezes and turns off very randomly
Really addictive, I can’t stop playing!

Game Locks Up Entire Phone
by Customer#9 on 2019/11/18 05:22
OSRS is hands down my favorite mobile game of the moment, and has been for awhile. Sometime in the past few updates, my phone now freezes on a still screen. The home button will click, but not have a response. I cannot turn the phone off manually, as the power button doesn’t cause a reaction either. I have to set my phone aside for up to 10 minutes, until it eventually times itself out and hard resets on its own. I will update to the well-earned 5 star review when I don’t have to deal with this at least once or twice a day.

I put a lot of time into this game just to have a scammer kill me in a pvp world and loose all my gp! will never play this game again till they fix all the bugs in this game. Like the bank trade glitch and get rid of all bots. The community is full of horrible people that are rude and money hungry! Jagex make changes to your terrible game!

Waste of time
by Gbavgdseyh on 2019/11/12 09:34
You would think that if you payed for a membership, to play a game, you would maybe have better luck then a person who spends in game money money for the same membership. Unfortunately not the case. No matter how long you play for. Or what you do, this game will always waste your time in the long run. Almost never rewarding you. Other players steal from you, and community is just toxic. Recommend anything but this game...

Not worth it
by twonly23 on 2019/11/11 11:55
As this game runs an plays smoothly, you’ll be needing to sacrifice countless months to level up unless you have no life grinding on this game, killing repetitive enemies not to forget jagex’s poor rewards from scrolls & quests with major back tracking, prices are very high for items that take forever to use in game.

Mobile got my Account Hacked
by IAmRaptorX on 2019/11/11 01:17
I have been playing runescape for years. Thought jt was awesome that it was available on mobile. Today my account was hacked and my items were wiped from the account. It seems like there are many others having the same issue and its all related to the mobile app. I quit playing the game over this and other users should be aware that there are unaddressed security issues.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD
by Zerafu on 2019/11/11 00:15
They have banned me due to macroing, the problem is, I have an iPhone, I do not have anything that is a botting software. I don't even know how to bot but yet I've been permanently banned for botting regardless when I have worked my butt off and paid for my membership. Do not download this game as they will ban you for no reason what so ever. Also I should mention, if you haven't done anything wrong and was banned for the first time, you will not get an appeal and it's a permanent ban. I have never been in trouble with runscapes years ago as I stopped playing back then. I have never done anything wrong this time and with it being me "first offense" I get PERMANENTLY BANNED WITH NO APPEAL. So even if I were to do what you guys told me to do, y'all don't fix it cause y'all do not lift permanent bans with no appeals. All my research, you guys hate anyone who even were suspected of macroing. My account was hacked TWICE, and I changed my password and put a pin on my bank. Whoever hacked my account got me banned. But y'all won't listen to that or even give me a chance to prove I wasn't macroing. So stop telling me to go and file for an appeal for a ban which was listed as NO APPEAL on my account. Y'all won't help me one but just cause I was slapped with macroing by a hacker. So stop telling me to appeal, FIX YOUR SECURITY! Telling me that the security is MY problem is actually wrong when y'all have a huge hacking problem which none of you guys are fixing!!!
Always freezing
by BlindZR1 on 2019/11/10 19:42
I give the game its self 5 stars. One of my all time favorite games. But the mobile app is horrible. The app is always freezing to the point where I have to hard reset my phone. It also doesn’t always wanna work when you first open It, sometimes you have to close out the app and re open It just for It to load up, highly annoying. But the game itself is amazing. I’d recommend just playing on your computer or else you’ll be restarting your phone 4 times a day!
Love it
by Rizzanerd on 2019/11/10 03:45
Excellent app. Jagex has outdone themselves this time. Use it all the time and has made me relive the game. 5 stars

Would give 5 out of 5 if it wasn’t for the freezing
by 123458683735$ on 2019/11/09 23:30
I have been playing runescape for around 4-5 months now and I really enjoy the game especially since it’s on mobile but the biggest flaw it has is the freezing. From my own personal experience the app literally froze my entire phone and I couldn’t even reset it or do anything at all. My only two choices were to let the phone die or wait. Please Jagex fix this ASAP it is extremely inconvenient especially if I’m only on runescape for a while and then I have to wait 10-15 minutes to make a phone call because the game freezes my phone.
Most underrated game for iPad.
by HVFF1438 on 2019/11/09 19:48
I’ve been a runescape player since 2003 at least and have always loved the huge variety of stuff to do. The fact I can play it on my iPad at work now is absolutely amazing. If you haven’t played OSRS then you absolutely should stop whatever you’re doing and give it a whirl

by Mumuffin on 2019/11/09 00:46
OSRS mobile app did a great job of being literally the exact same as the game on your computer. It has a tough learning curve but if you know what you’re doing this game will make you grind and challenge you.

by rockamybaby on 2019/11/07 19:41
This game is good telling from the tutorial, Since I’m new to this game I don’t really know much about but from the tutorial it is really good and I don’t regret anything. So if you rated this a 1 star and you delete and play another game your just wasting your time.
Old School Runescape review
by hacker 6666666666666 on 2019/11/07 18:58
I am enjoying Old School Runescape really well, however, I am noticing a verry high chance of my character hitting 0’s almost everytime that I attack my opponent(s), and ususally occurs alot, and I usually hit 2 zero’s in a row, and 3, 4, 5, and 6 Zero’s in a row as well, and that is frustrating to me, and my attack level is 95. I would verry much stongly recommend that you fix (update) the constant 0’s bug, the correct amount of 0’s is ok with me, I don’t want to hit more 0’s than I am supposed to for my attack level, and against level 42 Moss Giants, and lower. That is all Thank you.
Best game ever and on mobile now :)
by Final Hero G on 2019/11/07 14:54
This game has so much content it’s been on PC for over 15 years and I’ve been playing it for 10 years and let me tell you this is the most fun content you’ll ever get in an app period. The developers have put years of work and the mobile app is a great way to cross play with PC users.runescape always does seasonal events and lots of updates based on the community polls so it really learned its lesson from bad updates to actually listen to the player base. If you haven’t already you need to check this out!

Very nostalgic
by Dr.cheese454 on 2019/11/06 04:59
The mobile version is a bit slower paced than the pc/Mac version, but reliving the nostalgia from my childhood has never felt so amazing, as soon as I saw this app available I went right for it, the pros of mobile is that you can access your account on the go, it’s definitely more convenient, the cons, a mouse is nicer than fingers.

Full of Diarrhea People
by Mudplayerx on 2019/11/04 04:27
Full of people spamming hold sales, gambling, etc. The player base is also full of people that do everything they can to exploit the outdated mechanics to take/steal from you or otherwise benefit from your work or misfortune. I was enjoying myself until I got off of the tutorial island and people just followed me around and stole things from me and tapped on items that I made/worked for before I could. Pure diarrhea people.

Good value, loads of fun
by Matthew Trevett on 2019/11/04 00:36
First off, the world is massive. The skills are varied and fun. The mini games and pvm activities vary from solo to multiple players including raids. Iron man mode is challenging. The art style and music are aesthetically pleasing. At $11 a month (or by buying in game bonds for membership), you get hundreds of hours of gaming per month. There’s a lot to grind, but everything is optional. Quests are just awesome. They’re non linear and interconnected. The humor is outstanding. The memes are strong. Excellent community support with a variety of clans to join. Just give it a shot. Also can play with your same account on mobile iOS / Android, and PC.

by 123chrisisme on 2019/11/01 20:22
The new 158.1 patch for Osrs made the app frame rate drop. The game no longer runs smooth. And it completely ruins the experience.
Best game ever created
by Saenzleslie7 on 2019/11/01 15:58
I’ve been RuneScape on and off for years now. I recall playing it in my younger years when I was 10yrs old, however I stopped for years cause I got into sports and stuff. When I found out about the mobile app, I was hooked again. I’ve been playing since and I’m glad to be back.
Fix the authenticator
by Dirtkilled on 2019/11/01 06:35
So my phone was stolen and I had an authenticator attached. So I can’t log in without that. What makes my situation worse is an old email that I can’t access because it’s been deactivated from years of no one logging into it. I tried retrieving my account just to get told I’m being denied. Idk what to do and losing a account that I put more than 500 hours is disappointing. Idk what to do and it’s really frustrating me.

I started playing runescape in middle school, (now 24) and have always loved the game. When Rs3 came out i stopped playing. Then old school came out and I started playing again. It feels like it used to, with way more content! I love the fact that it’s out on Mobile. Now you can play wherever, so no xp waste. There are so many things to do on this game, I still haven’t experienced it all, and I’ve been playing for years. TLDR- this game is awesome, you have to try it out.

by PunjabiHillbilly on 2019/10/31 21:12
I can’t even begin to make people understand that runescape is pretty much most of my childhood. Coming home from school to play runescape for hours on my PC and now as an adult I can play that whole entire game on my mobile phone? Wow Jagex! I got to give it to you, you guys nailed it here. Now I have the accessibility to skill for more hours and get things done. Time flies by so fast playing this game because I really love, it’s not everyone’s favorite but I know people who’ve been playing RuneScape for years will love this mobile version. Jagex has really got it spot on with the controls and gameplay for the mobile application! Also they’re team has grown tremendously and I see they’ve been updating quite frequently so their players can continue enjoying a smooth interface. Thank you for that and don’t miss out on playing runescape mobile!
All I’ve Ever Wanted
by RuneScape Boy on 2019/10/31 14:30
I’ve been playing Runescape for more than half of my lifetime, dropping it right after EOC and picking it back up with the release of OSRS. The amount of 3rd party browsing clients that I downloaded that supported Java, JUST to play Runescape on the most terrible platform ever is unimaginable. THIS APP CHANGED EVERYTHING. Literally dreamed of this app developing, and happy 1 year OSRS Mobile.

🤬🤬🤬🤬
by Higley on 2019/10/29 04:24
My account is stuck in a “mini game” that I want to get out of, but it won’t let me… I can’t see what this “Mime” is doing and I don’t want to be a part of it, I’d just like to go back to being able to do what I was with my $12/month subscription. Unfortunately the game will Not let me leave the mini game. I’d say that issue needs to be fixed ASAP, and it’s also convinced me to request a refund for my subscription and stop playing this game. I used to love this game 20 years ago, but in my opinion, the adaptation to mobile has been poor, and nothing more than a money grab. This review was also not left in malice, this is after spending more than enough time on their actual website to try to contact them… btw I also started a brand new character and with 29 days left of my membership, just garbage. You got me for $12, congratulations to letting me start a new player and I don’t even have the option to complain about this in the “voters box” in the banks, I canceled my subscription and before I deleted the game, I did end with 28 days of my membership left, so I guess I got 2 good days. Update: I finally got out of it, but far from returning me back to where I was (like it promised each time I tried to get out) it transferred me to Lumbridge or whatever town you go to when you die, which is about 5-10 minutes real time from where I was. Those little pop up things you have is as bad as Facebook selling your photos. It’s Spam, and when someone is paying more for your game than they are on a $10/month Apple Music subscription?! You need to come correct, Update: the game still has horrible traps when you’re farming, and any and ALL participation on mobile will lock you out of the game for several minutes October 2019 update. Doing trawler and while I was watching the nets and fixing them it kicked me off for inactivity. I know you’ll not get any more of my money for your BS app. Always an issue with this game, so it’s time to leave the past where it belongs.

Great app, but hot phone
by Slimeyant on 2019/10/28 03:24
This app is actually pretty intuitive if you have been playing runescape on computer. The game is very smooth and not as buggy as many would think. However the beginning load screen gets buggy and may crash, but once you reach the load out screen you are golden. My phone gets pretty hot and drains the battery but nothing extreme. I wouldn’t recommend questing or doing dangerous skills because disconnecting is more likely if on cellular data. I would recommend afk skills like smithing fishing fletching and woodcutting. I wish this app would stay on while you multitask but it will log you out if you sign into Facebook or reply to text messages in the message app. Update: Osmobile continues to get better and smoother with each update and the iPhone seems to last longer before getting hot if does get hot. However I have noticed that the keyboard function is a little laggy when searching items in the bank and buying items from the grand exchange. I am excited to see what updates are in store for OSRS and it’s mobile version

Best game on the App Store hands down
by Peckat32 on 2019/10/27 21:21
Nothing beats the grind of RuneScape. It’s been a childhood dream to have the ability to play runescape on the go I remember trying on every new phone I got as a kid thinking it’d let me download and play but this year was it. Finally after so many years I’m able to jump back into the game I love.

Speechless.
by R.Morrell on 2019/10/26 15:18
I have played RuneScape off and on since the original RuneScape. And every time I start back I start over with a new account, I had stopped playing a few years ago due to my computer crashing. I had always heard rumors that one day RS would go mobile, and when that time came I knew it was time to start back. I did and I’m loving every minute of it. The game is perfect. It looks amazing on mobile. The only problems I have and it might be because of the phone I use.(iPhone 8) I have a hard time clicking on the small icons on the screen, I don’t have large fingers so that’s not the cause. And the next problem I have is more of a suggestion, and I do not know what to suggest, but maybe you guys could add some more of a way to customize and move around all the boxes, maps, icons, on the screen. You could maybe even make them resize able . They none of the 2 things I listed about compromise the perfection of this game, I plan on getting a small styles so I can be more precise with my clicks! Thanks Jagex !! And Thank you OSRS Team!! Thank you for the many years of joy you brought to my life!!!!
Enjoyed, but having one known bug trouble.
by E.V.XIII on 2019/10/26 12:17
Hello, I have played OSRS for a while and really enjoyed it. The only thing I’m not enjoy about is having it black screening after I played it for a while and having to uninstall and reinstall it back to work. Other than that, it’s fun and I like it.

I have loved Runescape for years, but I'm not typically one to sit down at my computer to play it. But with this amazing mobile app I can still play my favorite game! The only downside is it eats up battery-life, so keep a mobile charger on hand. Still not enough to drop a star: for a game this size on a mobile device, it is expected.
Well made

Osrs
by ZackaryDaniel91 on 2019/10/26 00:05
I’ve played runescape since the rsc and rs2 days. Osrs is awesome! It runs great on most devices. The only issue I’m having right now is that I got a new phone (iPhone 11) and the osrs app makes my phone hot REALLY FAST. It never did this on my android and this iPhone 11 has better hardware than my android did. Jagged please fix this! I’m not sure if it’s because of the power consumption or what.. thank you!
Awesome game

I’m so glad this game has an app I remember when I used to play on computer in 2007 thank you Jagex for putting it on mobile it’s a great way to relieve stress and gives me goals to work on it helps me learn how to manage money and learn how to cope with the stress of my life :)
By far the best mobile RPG game on the market
by DoYouEvenScapeBro? on 2019/10/23 09:01
What can really be said, it’s the best game on the market. From skipping school as a teenager to sneak to the library to play Runescape, to always having a good conversation with friends, and always having something to grind out in game. This game is the best. I’ve always skipped playing other mmorpgs because i like RS that much. I didn’t wanna get hooked on another game. Never regretted that decision. For a Pc game ported to mobile it runs smooth, has great graphics, and literally when your bored you can grind anywhere your at on your skills etc. The community is great as well, you can always find someone to talk with and even make some online friends to play with and talk to each time your on. I have no complaints at all. RS will always be on my phone even if I would take breaks for a month or two like I have before, I’ll always be back to play again. This is an addiction that you’ll want to have. Haha, to new players, don’t give up easily. Learning the game takes time but it’s simple to understand after a little time playing. Keep at it, you won’t regret it. Hope everyone is having a great day, and happy scaping.
Still Amazing

Terrible support no live person responses all automated
by Otffg on 2019/10/23 02:01
Dear Jagex, I have tried to use your site support time and time again. Recently I returned from a family vacation, enjoying myself until I came back home. When I came back home I saw an email, which stated that my account was banned. I tried to log into Runescape via the game client in hopes that the email I received may have been a scam however, it was not. I promptly scanned my computer. I use the latest version of Comodo Anti-Virus and I selected a full scan. In total it detected 2 threats. One of the threats was classed as a Trojan and another was classed as a worm. After extensive research I found that Trojans are capable of stealing saved passwords in web browsers and my web browser, Google Chrome, had my login information saved on the website. Therefore, I believe my information was stolen then hacked into. I then did further research in to where this Trojan came from. The Trojan came from a phisher site which therefore shows that the people who created the Trojan where targeting Runescape accounts. I can send you screenshots of the evidence of the threat, where it was downloaded from (it was downloaded from a webpage without my consent) and my scan results. In addition I can also send you the website address which contained the virus. I have also reported the website to my internet browser in hopes they class it as a phisher site to protect other people. After I did all my research I removed the malware and rescanned with Comodo and Malwarebytes and found no further threats. I plan on reformatting later. I hope you can help me resolve this issue as I am very upset about losing my account because of a hacker. Best Regards

OSRS IS GREAT!
by D36DONUT on 2019/10/22 17:45
Played back before 07 and came back recently now that I can play on the go or at home and have not been let down. People complain about pvp but honestly mobile is more of a skipping tool. If you can live with that then this is for you. There are successful pk’ers out there who play mobile. It can be done. Enjoy!
Decent but Bugged
by Chryyan on 2019/10/22 03:15
Fun game but mobile doesn’t work half the time I try to open it. Have an iPhone XS Max with the most updated iOS. I click on the app and just get a black screen about 20% of the time. Sometimes it even freezes my entire phone and I cannot use it for like five minutes.

Best mobile game ever
by The_Worldmind on 2018/11/07 20:02
I have played Runescape on and off since I was a teenager(28 now). I always loved the game, but couldn’t play as much as I wanted since I have had kids now. I loved when they brought out osrs because that was the game I fell in love with. I play when I can and work on grinding here and there, but this coming out on mobile is the best thing that could have happened for me now as an adult. It is the full game just as it is on PC and it’s the same character I have on PC. I can log in on either device. The mobile game controls really well. I wasn’t sure about the camera controls at first, but you can adjust the look speed and slowing it down made things feel better for me. I like that they have the screen control options on the left side allowing you to one-tap or always right click as it is on PC or tap to drop. This makes it to where I am pretty comfortable doing almost anything in the game from my phone. I don’t think I would do PKing on mobile, but I was never much of a PKer anyway. I have done quests, trained Melee, magic, done farm and birdhouse runs and had no trouble with any of it. Being able to play this game from my phone anytime I want is amazing. It’s even better on my iPad. The 1 star reviews I have seen are nonsense. People who don’t understand the game and get mad way too easy. From someone who has played osrs for years and understands the game this is really great on mobile.
A large amount of the bad reviews are uninformed
by BrungusWasTakenLol on 2018/11/02 00:58
After looking through about a hundred of the 1 star reviews i saw that a very large percentage of them were people upset about the progress of their characters they made a decade ago not transferring over. What they don’t understand is that jagex re-released oldschool runescape in 2013 and everybody needed to start from the beginning if they wanted to play. Their old accounts are still available to them on the “main” game. This is the oldschool version and the reason they are upset does not at all reflect the quality of this app. Oldschool runescape is a fantastic game which has been massively growing since its birth in 2013. Against all odds the outdated graphics and grindy gameplay has thrived in this generation of video games which are typically the opposite. If you’re looking for a mobile game with flashy graphics and an instant gratification gameplay loop giving you rewards every 15 seconds to keep you interested and offering you the ability to skip the gameplay for small amounts of real life money, then this isn’t the game for you. It is old runescape (the pinnacle of last generation MMOs) in all of its glory. Oldschool runescape has the best gaming community out there and is run by an extremely dedicated developer team who update the game almost 100% based on player feedback. Anybody who hasn’t given it a try is very much missing out.
Ignore the poor reviews
by TheJerry(: on 2018/11/01 13:17
1) Ignore all the poor reviews giving to this game. Especially JaredL42 guy. If you’re an old player coming back, don’t expect to have you old account saved. OSRS evolved over the years to what is now known as RuneScape3 (RS3) that’s where your old account is. Due to high demand of bringing back the old school RuneScape. Jaggex had to Re-create separate game (osrs) for the community to try save the player base. People were happy OSRS was back and that’s what they prefer to play while others enjoy playing RS3. So there for you have to start over for OSRS while your old account is still in RS3. Stop complaining and don’t listen to those whining spoil kids. 2) If you’re a veteran or returning player this is an awesome app! Great way to AFK training or even to kill time. There’s definitely things you wouldn’t want to do on mobile like PK’ing or maybe even raising against hard bosses. Just because it’s a little harder on mobile. 3) if you’re a new player this may take time to get use to, I’ll recommend to try the full experience on PC for you to get the full feel of the game then come to mobile. Because I do see mobile more beneficial to veteran players. Don’t get frustrated with the game, it’s an mmorpg there’s so much to do in this game and it takes time to learn. Overall I’m very happy with the work they have done!!
Brilliant
by gamer1159 on 2018/11/19 22:07
Just like the title says this is brilliant. Not only is it the full game and it plays and runs very well on my iPhone 8 it is just such a joy to come back to the game that as a teenager I spent so many hours in I can’t even count. I was worried this game would eventually die out, it makes sense because much of its original player base has matured and now have jobs and many more responsibilities in life than they did previously so if was natural to see the player base decline, with the launch of mobile I was laughing to see so many old and new players back and finding myself right down back nostalgia lanes. That being said now that this game is on mobile I am super happy to know I will be able to play this whenever I want and literally wherever I want, I probably wouldn’t recommend however doing anything much more than light grinding on your phone or tablet as the control scheme is good but slower on a touch screen for obvious reasons so I don’t see myself PKing anytime soon in my phone but I do see myself grinding away at other skills to my hearts content. All in all well done Jagex you found another way to innovate on your game and you did it properly this app is great given it isn’t a botched version of the game at all. Well done 5/5
Fantastic Game!, Completely Mobile Friendly Port (10 Yr Vet.)
by yodaking2 on 2018/11/22 16:43
OldSchool Runescape is a fantastic mmorpg, that on the surface may seem like a grab at your nostalgia cords, but truly, this game is a fully supported and developed MMORPG with a thriving community and dedicated developers who are constantly listening to the community (through twitter, reddit, weekly Q&As). The addition of 95% of content is polled in-game from very minor balancing changes, to the addition of completely new areas. Overall, OSRS is a fantastic game of progression and grind that is very fulfilling at all stages of the game. Mobile is the culmination of the dedication of Jagex to constantly create a quality product that is not just a poor attempt at taking our money. This COMPLETELY FREE port allows you to take control of the same character that you can access on PC with literally the same ease of play as PC. The mobile version does not suffer with mobile controls, where many other mobile games do and the interface works fantastically and is not OP nor is it impossible to use. I was able to kill Zulrah, KBD, KQ, all GWs bosses and complete a handfull of difficult quests all on mobile without any struggle. Jagex has really outdone themselves and any person should give this game a try. GL and HF!
Very impressive
by Christiano111111 on 2018/11/22 13:54
Hi, I’m a long time player of runescape and an active player of old school and I just wanted to say that I am very impressed by how easy it is to use this app. The tap response is pretty good and the interface is extremely easy to use. Features like the tap to drop and filtered spell book we’re also amazing additions that make mobile a viable option for game play. If you’re wondering why I gave it 4 stars, it’s because of the fact that this app does not refresh in the background for IOS like it does for other types of phones. This means if you lock your screen or even go to look something up, you will lose connection to the app which can get a little annoying. Other than that the only other thing I could complain about is the fact that sometimes I have a hard time dragging items to different position in my inventory or bank because the placement of the item needs to be right on the spot. This isn’t really much of a big deal and doesn’t effect gameplay at all really, I just think it’s something that could be tweaked. All in all very good app, I would have given it 4.5 if I was allowed to but if it’s made so that you can look up things on the ge webpage or wiki without disconnecting you, I would definitely come back and rate it 5 stars.
Ohhh runescape
by sutton120 on 2018/11/05 04:14
Well this is pretty incredible, I started playing runescape when I was almost 9 years old. It gave me something to do at the boys and girls club while my parents worked. I played until I was about 14 non stop, and then it started to get loads of weird updates. I think a lot of stuff was cool, but it became to much to handle when I wouldn't play for a few months and I would come back to sooooo much wired stuff. I give this app 5 stars because for what jagex offers with runescape you could literally play this game for years for free, or like 7$ a month to be a member or something. I was a member most of my runescape life. I really wish that jagex could have somehow transferred my 14 year old character over to the old school runescape and just deleted all of the updated gear on that account, of course there should be a voucher stating that :WARNING if you accept to this you will loose all gear associated with runsescape after a certain date. And I would have been fine with that. I really miss good old fashioned runescape with my friends just grinding away XP to lvl up. I guess I will be waiting for RS3 :(. There's really no point for me to restart a character I put long long nights into for years.
The perfect mobile game.
by MagneticBadger on 2018/11/06 10:50
First and foremost: no microtransactions! This is a proper red herring in modern times, to say the least. It allows players to truly enjoy the game as... well, a game. Moreover, OSRS mobile is everything I could have hoped from a mobile RPG. You have to build and develop your character through acquisition of skills and truly have to interact with the community to get the most out of your experience (and character). The presence of a community is one of the most refreshing parts of OSRS in comparison to other MMOs — that and a true feeling of difficulty and accomplishment when you finish your goals. That, in my opinion, is what makes OSRS a truly remarkable game. You set your own goals — yes, this is technically true of all games, but the manner in which it is presented in OSRS makes you, the player, feel as if you are the one in control instead of the game. On top of this, the care with which the game world has been crafted and the joy of completing the numerous quests (which are not all your standard fetch/kill quests) makes OSRS truly a joy to play. Especially since they have managed to keep the game true to its spirit — at least for as much as I can remember from over a decade ago!
Long standing player

I have played RuneScape since i was pretty young. All the way through school, up to now. I’ve had several accounts, and was extremely excited about the new OSRS platform. I had taken a several year hiatus due to not having the time, and started playing again earlier this year, in the new OSRS servers, as my main, and original account had been grandfathered into RS3😢. No worries. Well, i started to get busy again, and had to take another break, but with the mobile platforms release i began playing again. Doing AFK tasks, such as woodcutting, or mining, or general GE trades. However, i played exclusively on mobile. With this being said, with 2 weeks i was permabanned for “Macroing Major”. I wasn’t botting, and the last time i had played i had poor signal, so i quit trying to play due to my lagging. Well, i did reasearch and went through the appeal process, which was denied, due to them believing that i was botting still. I have reached out to mods, and tried to find a person to talk to, to see about other options, and received no feedback, and no help. I’ve had this account for 12+ years, and was only banned for gameplay on the old funorb website, when i was much younger. Hopefully this review gets someone’s attention and i can possibly email someone, and actually discuss this issue with someone, as a long time consumer and lover of RuneScape.

Haven’t been able to play as much since I go to uni. Ever since the mobile release I’ve gotten back on my Ironman for some time and have even seen old time friends get back on since the release of mobile. Thank you for the app and I’m glad it’s bringing the community new players and old players alike. P.S. the new players really need to start critically thinking and using the runescape wikia instead of having to bug the mods 24/7 crying about account bans, can’t retain my Runescape 3 character gear and stats, and just overall lack of common sense issues. It’s ridiculous the amount of people that think the game is horrible I get that it isn’t for everyone but seriously? You know you can change character looks? Look up guides (you have the internet)? Or just ask someone for help....Jesus man. Great app overall if you’re looking to have something to do. Can be a battery drain on older phone models and cross continental servers will lag a bit if you’re out of that country. Also do not listen to anyone posting about dark wizards on the OSRS Wikia page...it’s usually BS that tries to get clueless and new people killed
Extremely disappointed and unsatisfied.

I’m a long time player and you’ve heard this a million times I know. With one search for jagex support you are led to the lowest rated support line/team of any mainstream game ever. I’m truly saddened for how low this company has gone, flat out refusing to let ANYONE defend their case under any circumstances if they deem you wrong, even without any warning or evidence to back up their claims. What this game has done is take a long time costumer that has supported them in every way for many years, and told me to shove it. In their words “we thoroughly review the account to make sure the owner is responsible”. The month that the ban took place was in June 2019 and I ended my subscription in May 2019 because I didn’t play at the time. I tried to come back in September 2019 just to play around or do some slayer just to find out I was permanently banned for “real world training”. I understand at the bare bottom of this, it’s just a game, but I put in years of time and money to enjoy this game they made. To be cut off so blatantly and with zero means to plead my case, even after many many honest years of support. That’s wrong, and I’m sure no one will respond to this because of the type of ban they gave me. It’s truly sad to see how far this game has fallen. I would have never wanted it to crash and burn, but it looks like the developers are going to make that happen anyways.
Great to see this game come back to life
by Templar Fire on 2018/11/10 20:36
I played this game 4 years ago. And while I didn’t hate the changes in the new RS game I hated seeing the playerbase slowly die out as well as how easy it was to get lost in all of the undercooked developments. Bringing old RS allows us to return to the roots of the game. That being said, clan leading and community-building is one area that inspired lots of active growth, especially for me. I would love to see elements of the current clan system carry over as it could honestly be a game of its own trying to balance leveling, questing, and community building. I hope that the old RS team will work to bring us together, as that’s what made this game amazing for much of my time playing. Also, please expand polls to more than just p2p!! At the least make it where a certain amount of total level or time played can earn you polling power(even if maybe your vote is worth less). F2P has always had just as big an impact on RS and even if the team doesn’t see any money from us it’s letting us know you want our thoughts that makes us decide to switch to p2p. This game has already brought so many players back. Now ya’ll need to give us a reason to stay! And thank you so much for making this mobile!
Very satisfied
by L1f3R on 2019/05/29 14:52
I use to play this game when it’s was younger on dial up internet back over 10 years ago and I remember just enjoying myself but times weren’t the best and we couldn’t afford internet and they didn’t make it for PlayStation so I could never play. As time went on and touch screen phones came out and started getting to where people were playing actual video games on them me and my brothers were always like I wish they would bring runescape to mobile we’d play all the time, and we’d even try to go to there site and play anyway but it wouldn’t let us. Then one day I get a call from my dad like guess what runescape is on mobile, and I just couldn’t believe it. I downloaded it right away my whole family plays my brothers and my dad. It’s nice to be able to play a game that you use to enjoy so much as a kid as an adult on your phone none the less. I don’t get to “grind” like I would like but for someone works 40 hours a week and has a young family I’m beyond satisfied with being able to pull it out of my pocket and play as much as I’d like whenever I have the time. This game is awesome and will always be one of my favorites!
Flawless port
by ruskointhehizzy on 2018/12/01 20:05
I am an old time veteran of this game, I played back during the times of autorune. If you don’t know what autorune is you are missing a big part of the history of this game. I feel I am certified to give a review on the port of this game, other reviews already review the game itself - and this is the 2007 version, not classic or rs3. I think classic is the best version but the community thinks this is the best version so it’s the best choice to port to mobile. The port is flawless. You tap to move and hold down on objects to pull up the right click menu. You text to chat and everything is there. My OSRS account was ready to go. This game feel really good on the phone almost perfect because the combat is static at times which gives you time to move the camera, use prayers/pots/etc., and make decisions. Training is great and the tap to click is perfect. The community is huge which is amazing to see - so many players it’s really like the old days. People are actually killing cows and goblins in lumby and scams and bots are in full forces it’s complete legit. I am pretty happy about this port and the choice to make it free. Good job Jagex!
Best MMO Ever

So you start out on this land mass surrounded by water (I think it’s called an island?), but anyway, they teach you how to play and you can get some levels there. But don’t be dumb like me, your skills max at 3 here! Spent 14 hours fishing shrimps for no reason. Any way, after you finish the tutorial you go to this sicknasty castle in a swamp! Monty Python would be proud. You also get some gear! So I killed a man. And a rat. And a goblin. And a cow. And a LOT of chickens. Now I was stronger. I went north until I found some wizard dudes. Man they were evil! I had to run away. Barely escaped, but on the bright side, I found a huge city! But, just like New York, people are only there to scam you. Some dude said he was doubling money, so I gave him all my stuff. He didn’t give it back, and I’m like “lol I’m dumb” but some nice dude gave me some steel armor and a sword! Told me I could make money killing stuff, so I started killing guards - because let’s be real, they probably were gonna attack me anyway for killing that man earlier. And so I kill one and it drops a treasure map! And I was so confused! And now I’m googling to see what to do! 10/10 would play again!
Best Mobile Game in Existence
by Yuggerz on 2018/11/01 14:08
A note before before my two cents: To those of you who are frustrated your progress didn't carry over; you don’t understand what happened at all. If you had played old school runescape prior to the mobile release, your progress would have carried over. You are confusing RS3 with Old School. The progress you are talking about would have been made on RS3. That will also be coming out on mobile in the near future. If you haven’t played in a long time and want to pick up where you left off, you need to play RS3. This has been talked about a lot (though perhaps a while ago because most players know the difference between the two version of the game) so I encourage you to read more in depth on the RS3 and Old School websites if you are still confused. My two cents: This is the best mobile game out there. I’m also really excited for RS3 to come out. Jagex, you have done an excellent job. The interface is easy to use, I honestly like the mobile controls better than desktop, and the game is still incredible. Seriously, thank you for releasing runescape on mobile.
Great but there is definitely some work to be done

I play OSRS often and when I’ve been following the news for mobile for a while so I decided to give it a shot (keep in mind I only played mobile for like 2hrs before making this)I knew this was more for the beginner or the guy that wants to lvl up while using the bathroom so I downloaded it and the login screen is very pleasing but the GUI of the actual game needs some working on it runs great on my iPhone 6 but the GUI is just bad we don’t need a button for the trade requests and the clan chat and all and the game chat it just takes up too much screen real estate and all the stuff on the left of the screen like emotes and stuff is just not needed it can be put in a sub menu infact that’s what the chat needs as well a sub menu and if you don’t do Any of these just please lower the sensitivity on the zoom in and out thanks and just btw I’m not a hater I adore OSRS I’ve been a player for a long time and I super anxious to receive my records I bought from you guys it’s just this app needs a little work and hopefully it will help the OSRS fan base grow -xSTEAMYx on the scape
Needs to work on involving a new fan base
by Drbabymario on 2018/11/01 22:34
So as a person who’s been playing the game on and off since 2006 I love it. Everything runs pretty much flawlessly and as I would have expected it to run. And it is a fantastic app for people who play/have played RuneScape since oldschool an rs3 separated. Now for people who haven’t played the game before I could see going into the game being VERY confused. I haven’t done tutorial in a long time, but I can imagine being dropped into this MASSIVE game and having absolutely no idea what to do. XP rates I already know will be so slow to users that aren’t familiar with the game in comparison to other phone MMO’s and i can see users getting extremely annoyed, extremely quick. I’m not sure how to combat this to get new, long term users into the game without creating a whole new mobile version but It will without a doubt become a problem if it hasn’t already which will stifle the MASSIVE potential that a mobile version of this game has. With that being said, as an on and off player, I think it is very well done so kudos to the team for pulling this off so well.
Best MMORPG of all time.
by zarchvil on 2018/12/09 01:58
My first review had to be about this masterpiece. I am one of those 90s kids who played this game after school and on the weekends on my old PC when I should’ve been studying. The game has an undeniable charm factor to it, one that has allowed it to drag me back in after so many years. It is possibly the best MMORPG of all time, which is crazy, considering its age and the fact that the game is free to play. Free to play means that it is actually free to try, but Runescape does this model perfectly, as you are able to get a satisfying taste for the main mechanics of the game before you decide to make the leap to membership. Yet before you do so, you still have hours on hours of content to go through for free. Quests are funny and interesting, combat is somewhat dated but charming in its own way as it makes the game unique, player interactions are actually a positive aspect of the game as you are able to make friends easily while you play and the mobile port is very well executed. If you are into MMORPGs and are tired of the repetitive games on the app store, you need to play this now.
Keyboard has problems game severely lags when typing iPhone 7+
by it works for tomb raider 2 tho on 2018/12/29 09:31
Basically typing causes lag... no idea what to do, causes spelling errors also because it doesn’t register what key you typed forming word salad if you’re trying to type fast... I run iPhone 7+, softwares up to date. I tried shutting off predictive suggestions and it didn’t fix, deleting and reinstalling app did nothing, this is a fairly new phone with over 100gb of space, other apps closed etc, doesn’t matter if charged WiFi or lte, doesn’t matter if area is crowded or not. Typing causes lag and it’s impossible, also i’d rather type with my phone’s small keyboard even if runescape has to be sideways while doing so, horizontal keyboard is obnoxious. Also this game consumes a lot of battery, making it almost useless if you want to go somewhere without a charger plugged in... most power banks take 8 hours to charge... and if I have to take extra bulk might as well use a laptop, lol. I’d work on fixing the keyboard before we worry about batteries tho, and FYI my battery is new, went to Apple and got a refurbished phone. I’m too technologically self aware for it to be a settings issue, and will be offended if you assume I’m stupid and give a generic reply with advice I already know, it’s a problem on your end, causing one on mine not vice versa I assure you.
Understanding Oldschool Runescape
by ironman god on 2018/11/01 20:05
Once you understand osrs you will have a game that will keep you playing for hours. The first thing you need to know that this game is driven by the community and all updates go thru an in game voting process requiring 70% to actually implement it. I see some reviews here complaining about things that are simple, for example some guy can’t do a maze(lol) it’s a maze man get good. I suggest you read everything because this game will test your reflexes , luck ,skills, endurance and probably the must fun of all is finding unique ways to play the game that nobody has even thought about it yet. There are people trying to get “in game money from noobs” don’t believe anybody in the game never give your personal information. Like I said this game is unlimited and you can play it however you want , it’s an open world. You will never run out things to do. Lastly, there are “things” like quest, bosses, ways of skilling, and pvp that some players can’t do because they don’t have the ability. So it’s time to show you can do everything , prove your worth.
Falsely Permabanned
by Gamer4Ever!!! on 2019/09/16 19:05
First of all, I love that OSRS is available to everyone, and is now playable on iPhones. I played the hell out of this game for a while, but took a break from it to focus more on work and college. I finally had the time to reinstall and play this game again, but found out I was permabanned for macroing. I am not a tech savvy guy and don’t know how to hack or not or anything like that. So it seemed super odd that I would be banned for this. I looked at the records for this ban and it said the ban was issued during the time I was out of state, onvacation in Yellowstone with my family. There is no internet access out there at all, so how could I have logged in and “married?” This doesn’t make sense. Also, I read online from multiple sources that Jagex doesn’t read appeals specifically for macro bans. Which is quite sad since there are people like me who might have been hacked or truly, falsely banned for something they didn’t do. So Jagex, if you’re reading this, please accept my appeal to unban my account. I was banned during a time I didn’t have access to the internet and I don’t want to have to grind all my stats up all over again in a game that requires a ton of time to grind up every skill.
Happy as heck
by Jmmonarch4 on 2018/11/21 09:28
I’ve lived this games since I was a teenager and couldn’t play much once I got a job and just couldn’t be around a computer to play as much anymore and have a family now . Now I can okay on my phone, anytime I want and I play on my breaks at lunch. The only thing I hate is that it makes you start over all again even with your same account. It jumped my old leveled up account to rs3 and makes you use the same name but a new player account on old school and start over , but whatever . The game is very smooth and actually faster and better than my computer , just had to get used to where the buttons were again and touching on a smaller scale but also I use my iPad to play on a bigger screen when I can to make it easier. I love going back to what I used to play years ago, and don’t much like what they’ve done with rs3 and jumping my old account to that to where I have to start over again this my 4 stars , but this is what jagex should have done years ago and people have told them that . Sad it’s taken this long and after many players left and stopped playing over it but they needed this.
A diamond gem behind the grind
by AirSputty on 2018/11/05 01:16
I’ve played this is middle school and recently came back a year ago. The mobile client runs the game flawlessly and very smoothly. I also play on my tablet and pc. RuneScape has some of the most beautiful quests as well as true player freedom than most of the games I’ve ever played. That’s what’s so beautiful about it. After passing a short tutorial, you are free to do whatever you please. Want to kill some enemies? Maybe you liked mining/smithing or fishing/cooking. Do you want to cast magic? Or shoot arrows. The beautiful thing is that you can do it all at your own pace. You could jump into some quests or you could go explore! But don’t be fooled, a lot of this game can be Grindy. But to be honest, that’s why you keep coming back. There’s various stages of the game and even bossing and raids at the end. So welcome to Gielinor! Stay a while and have fun. Be careful of the Wilderness that’s to the North where players can attack other players ;) unless you’re willing to risk the items that you’re carrying!
Absolutely not fair, falsely banned
by Lakerfan8224 on 2018/11/17 20:45
I’m writing this because my account was banned and I do not understand how. I was banned for macro botting... something I would not ever do. Even worse the “ban appeal” process does nothing. I’ve heard from several others in similar experiences that Jagex does not bother looking into “severe ban appeals”. I was just playing the game. I was not botting. I, an actual player, had to compete with bots for resources. How do those accounts not get banned but I do? I’ve read from multiple people that the app might be to blame. I was last playing on the app. I’ve also heard Jagex’s dumb authenticator app / security system could also be to blame. I installed that too because I had to in order to claim rewards in the stronghold of security. Because I’m not a bot, bots don’t go to places like the stronghold of security. All they do is mine or cut trees. The most frustrating part of this is that I cannot even email Jagex directly to communicate with them that there has been a mistake. I was falsely banned. This is not fair. I am only writing this review in hopes that someone may help me. If not, at the very least I hope that with enough reviews people start to notice this to prevent more accounts from being lost. But if I cannot get my account back then Jagex is losing a loyal customer of over 10 years.
Full game in your pocket. Needs better customizability though
by Legend Angels on 2019/05/04 13:26
This is great. I love osrs and being on mobile got me back into playing it. This is literally the full game and I’m blown away they got it this smooth and working on mobile. My biggest problem is that on mobile I choose to try and level skills and not do intense PVM or PVP but the lack of customizing the location of the tabs such as magic ruins it for me. Alching would be amazing on phone if you could move the magic tab to the right side because right now I have to click a tiny spell on the left (which you can filter to make bigger) and then click a tiny item on the right. On the computer you can get them so they’re in the same spot and you just keep pressing the same area. I miss hitting the item maybe 10% of the item and it’s much more work I can’t play one handed to allow multitasking and if you miss I have to re click the right side and then hit the item again. It’s a small thing I know but I can’t imagine it’s very hard to fix. I would play this 10x more if they allowed moving the tabs to either side and a little more customizability to make user interface better.
Extremely Happy!!!

Like most people who love Osrs I've been playing since i was a kid and oh boy being able to play on my phone is probably the best thing ever the controls are super easy and the graphics are incredible. Trust me once you get the hang of how things work you will have so much fun and get addicted because theres so much the game offers maybe thats why I've been playing it for 11 years and never get tired of it. You can level up your combat skills, get tired of that go skilling theres a bunch of skilling options so once you get bored of one you easily go do another. Feel like questing? Well theres a bunch of quests you can do and probably the most important reason I haven’t stopped playing is that you can make so many different accounts from Mains, so many different options for pures, lvl 3 skillers(Probably my favorite) And theres also iron man accounts you can make which is more challenging but fun. I can write a whole book on how fun runescape is but try it out noobies lol trust you will love it.
Best Game I Have Ever Played
by Archer View on 2018/11/08 15:39
Runescape was the first game that I started playing back in 2004 when my older brother introduced me to it. I played the game almost everyday up until the game started changing into RS3. I dont really miss the account that I had because I enjoyed this game so much (maybe too much). I created an account for Oldschool Runescape about 3 years ago when I heard about it, and thought that I would get back into the game that I loved throughout my childhood. That account is better than the one that I used to have and that makes me so happy that I can still enjoy this game even after 14 years since I started playing it. The release to mobile is amazing and it lead me to create another account just for mobile. I really love this game and it hurts me to see all the 1 star reviews over things like “taken usernames” and “can’t get my old account back” when those issues are not the game’s problems. This game is the best game I have and will ever play so thank you so much Oldschool Runescape.
Great App, amazing developers.
by DarkDragon097 on 2018/11/01 09:06
I love RuneScape, and really enjoy the app. It even works on my iPhone 5s, which is amazing! This is a great way to play RuneScape on the go, and it doesn’t really affect battery life as hard as other apps do. Other than that, it’s still the same game you loved from 2007, but with a few modern tweaks and quality of life updates to keep it fresh. You’re going to have to start with nothing as far as stats go though, because saves were not transferable between this and RS3. That said, it’s still worth it for the new experience that the team on Oldschool RuneScape brings to the table. They have done a great job with this app release. Another thing to mention is that the game is community driven. In that sense, the game has been influenced by, and partly built by players. A lot of updates/rewards are voted on by the players. (Aside from the mandatory tweaking of drop tables, etc.) I’ve never found myself having issues navigating the game world through the app, and find it really easy to use the map features. Lastly, I would say that my favorite parts of the app are that you can communicate with players between both games. (Rs3 and OSRS) This means you’re still able to talk with your friends whichever version you’re playing! Another cool feature I found is that you can see your battery life and WiFi connection within the app. (Seriously so nice!!) I really do hope my review is helpful to someone who is wondering if they should give it a try.
Hands down greatest game to ever exist
by eWagsJr on 2018/11/01 01:31
ACCOUNT PROGRESS DOES CARRY OVER This game was meant for mobile. It’s lightweight, uses minimal data (<1mb per hour), and has high quality content updated weekly. Hands down the best staff I’ve seen on any game. I’ve been getting sick of the games that are pay to win or gambling based. RuneScape is a legit title that you pay monthly for loads of members content and weekly “Update Thursdays”. They will never run ads on us and they will never have gambling incentives to make us want to pay more money than we want to. The only thing you can buy besides membership is the in-game currency through bonds. By doing this, you basically pay for other people’s membership/bonus name changes if they decide to change it more than once a month. How the process works is you buy it with IRL currency and in exchange they give you in game currency for membership. What this does is reduces the value of buying gold for third parties and reducing the incentive to use bots to cheat the game.
Would like “main” account
by Mclovin247408 on 2018/11/03 05:02
The reason I give this a one star is for the fact I can’t play my main account onto the mobile version. I invested a lot of time and effort over the years building up my account and now when there’s an opportunity to play mobile, you basically log in and start from scratch is not right at all. I love the game since day one but I refuse to start completely over doing quests I already done to earning exp for various skills which also have requirements to be able to do certain quests. For those you enjoy this game, deserve to have that option to play their main accounts but I will not invest any money in to this game or download this app until that option is allowed to all players. Think about, playing on the go with their main accounts and play anywhere you please will bring in more money. If this is not possible I’ll wait for the “new” school RuneScape where you can actually have your “main” account with better graphics and updates it has made to the game over the years which is possible to do if you applied the same mechanics to “old “ school RuneScape and the growing technology and programs to allow so. Until then 1 Star it is til you think outside the box.
WHAT CAN I SAY?!
by KingNightfury on 2018/10/31 03:25
AS A VETERAN RUNESCAPE PLAYER (12+ years) IM REALLY PROUD OF THE TEAM FOR PULLING THIS OFF SO PERFECTLY. Where do I start??? The game runs ultra smooth with up to 60fps! Options to lower your FPS to decrease you battery consumption as well! AND NO NEED TO START A NEW ACCOUNT?!? Heck YEAH! Unlike most pc games that make a mobile version that requires you to start a whole new account on a game that can’t even be called the same as the pc version! This one you log off ur pc and log on your phone and play the same exact game in the exact spot where you left off! And let me tell ya! The way the controls were delivered, superb! Can do nearly everything you can with a mouse and keyboard on your phone! It doesn’t feel like you’re sacrificing anything! I’m glad to see that the team took a whole year beta testing it to deliver us the best quality app that they could, with more updates that will only improve everything to come! Overall, great game, great cross platform, great controls, and just a great team backing it all up! TRY IT NOW!

Watch out! This game has been shown to negatively affect your grades in school! If you have played Runescape in the past, or are a new player, this is a great way to test the waters and see if it’s something you could enjoy. With that said, this is not the way the game is meant to be played. It is a much better experience on pc and opens many doors that mobile doesn’t have the capabilities to let players try. For instance, almost all bosses will be very difficult on mobile, and PKing would be nearly impossible because all of the rapid changes in combat. You should try this game out. If you find you like it, play it on pc. Then when you experience what f2p has to offer and you want something more, become a member to gain a vast amount of new content and areas to explore. Ps. Membership can be purchased through in game currency. After you manage to become a member either through in game or paying for it, it is so easy to make the money to continue membership.
Game not fit for modern gaming
by Nathanmmakshs on 2018/11/03 18:49
This game should have never been released for mobile in its current state. I've played old school when it first released and stopped after a while so I know how to play the game, but this is a 15 year old game which is not nearly updated enough to try to take to the market and bring new players in. Mobile gamers have never experienced anything close to this, so with the same old tutorial I knew we would see major problems starting to arise. The amount of 5 star ratings solely come from a devoted player base that the company doesn't deserve, who want to see the game they love grow again. I asked a friend of mine to try it out and give me first opinions and they disliked almost everything about it. Outdated style of gameplay, poor clicking, and lack of direction. All things I'd expect from someone who didn't really understand that this was originally intended for pc. I don't think the game is bad I just dislike how the company jagex handled this. Runescape has been around for a LONG time. People who want to play it are and the many who don't like it's gameplay don't. A mobile version to try to snag some money from a new market just seems lazy. Much higher reviews than it deserves
Wow :)

RuneScape. Before this I wasn’t really an RPG fan let alone MMORPGS. But this- This is A M A Z I N G. I literally can not put it down. This game is so addictive. There is just so much to do so little time. Do I want to fish, farm, hunt, gather mine, trade, go on quests?? This is the beauty of this game, do whatever you want. Once you finished the tutorial it just kinda throws you in this game and is like here, your time is your own. I have been addicted to this game for a week and I still have so much to learn. The map is HUGE, it’s a big massive world for you to explore. I also love the community involvement. Every update they put a poll in the game and the update will only come out if there are at least 75% of people supporting it. But the things I would change to this game would be FASTER RUNNING RECHARGE! In the game you have a running meter that is up to 100. When you run it depletes VERY QUICKLY and refills VERY S L O W L Y. Also, stop F2P discrimination. But in the in need this is a 9/10 game that EVERYONE should try. I mean, it is free.

I started playing RuneScape the first time when I was 10 years old, almost 18 years ago I played in classic when the game just came out, I played the first day rs2 came out and played for a very long time reaching 99 in 13 skills after a couple updates that really changed the game and after graduating high school i slowly stopped playing, I played rs3 for a couple months and also played OSRS the day it was released I was so excited when I seen OSRS mobile was coming out and waited a month for it playing it the day it was released after starting over in OSRS and starting mobile with a lvl 20 account I have made my account into an awesome melee slayer account that is lvl 109 with 93 str 75 prayer and much more also with all the new items slaying makes me so much money I now have 250m which took me years to get back at the beginning of rs2 I am a big fan of RuneScape always have been and I love Jagex for the support and time they put into the game
A childhood dream complete
by S. Clown on 2018/11/07 20:40
When I was around 8 years old I discovered a weird free browser game called Runescape. I quickly fell into what became years and years of memories and gaming that left lasting impacts on me. When I was younger, my friends and I would rush home from school and play all afternoon. Snow days? Runescape. 2 hour delay? Runescape. Around this time the Apple iTouch was revolutionary and me and my friends spent countless hours playing games like Line Rider and others on the new devices, but we never understood why we couldn’t play Runescape too. Now as a 21 year old college student, it’s one of those moments in life where something from your past comes full circle. Things I couldn’t imagine as a kid are now commonplace. Runescape mobile is now one of them. Thank you Jagex for the endless years of fun and joy, and for fulfilling a wish many of us back in the day could only fantasize about. You are a gaming company that has almost always done right by its player base.
I love Runescape, But this app...
by Tommsto on 2019/03/10 01:17
I’ve been playing RuneScape since late 2005. It was a very impacting part of my childhood. I never thought it would become mobile compatible. What a time to be alive that I can play it on my smartphone. However, I rate this 2/5 stars since there is a lot of performance issues. My phone battery depletes by a percent every few minutes giving my phone about as much battery power as a low end laptop. My phone gets extremely hot and triggers the temperature sensitive settings such as reducing performance and screen dimming eventually leading to my phone disabling itself for becoming too hot. I have an IPhone 7 Plus and my phone shouldn’t have as many issues running this app as I do. I’d use mobile for more skilling and such but it doesn’t make running the app worth it if my phone loses 10% battery over 15 minutes of runecrafting. The app is great and convenience and the increase in the player base from mobile was a great move to make. I’d love to see where the development of this app goes and I hope I can play the game for multiple hours without having to charge my phone after a short session.
Exceptional

Mirrored directly from the actual game and allows you to play with an account that existed even before 2007. I prefer pre eoc runescape over 2007, however mobile has reignited my will to play. It offers many new content if you’re getting back to the game after so long and offers useful items with little dead content compared to Rs3. I found that it has more useful construction utility. PKing is HUGE. I find myself being weary in the wilderness again. Special attacks for weapons offers a variety of utility to how you want to end your foe. However, Graphic maybe off as I said I prefer pre eoc in terms of graphics and some gameplay such as summoning dungeoneering, but those aren’t too much to gripe about. All in all, it’s still that game I know and love with very little to complain. For new players, come and join to find out why we keep coming back. As for returning players. We never stop playing. We’re just afk. Cheers. -RSN: Guy on Duty
Brings back memories
by Xzey the vinylknight on 2018/11/05 11:18
Old School Runescape (Osrs) really does bring back memories of my younger years. Throughout those years, I always see Runescape the heart of my life game. Why do I love it? It’s because the game had so many MANY things to do. It’s like doing task, goals, achievements, and challenges that you can work on as time passes by. So what is special about the game? This game has provided many surprising stuff in the game, even in the RS3 doesn’t put up variety of unique items, special bosses, and quests into their game. Of course you have to start from scratch if your familiar with the runescape, but it’s old school and it provides other fun activities and surprising locations. Since it is now on mobile, I feel happier to just kick back and lay down in bed every day or go out and still play runescape wherever I go. I’ve been waiting to see this on mobile for long long time. And now it made things more closer to my younger years. Thank you Jagex!
Best MMO in 2018
by tf2234 on 2018/11/01 04:23
With every game these days trying to get more and more money from you, Old School Runescape sticks to its morals by not allowing any ways of paying for experience. The dev team cares so much for the community as most of them play the game themselves anyway. The poll system ensures that the community always gets what they want and it is truly one of the best games to be playing right now. Also, people seem to be mixing up which game this is. This is “Old School Runescape,” not “Runescape.” Old School Runescape is a separate game released in 2013 based off of a version of the game from 2007. If you played Runescape back in the day, your progress will not carry over to Old School Runescape because it is a different game. However, should you log in to Runescape, you will find your account is exactly how you left it. Just know that the game has changed significantly since then and the old school version may be closer to what you remember.
Jagex doesn’t care about us, don’t waste your time
by AGibbs. on 2019/01/16 03:11
I loved this game when I was young and was very excited when the app came out! I found out my old account was hacked and banned for botting in 2013 after not playing for 8 years. I downloaded the app anyway and created a new game center account. Added an email and password to get cash from the Stronghold of Security and within a month my new account was hacked and had about 50 million worth of gold and items stolen (I bought a pack of bonds to make up time lost on my hacked account). Jagex is crap and their website even states they will not help you get your stolen items back. I messaged them anyway about 3 weeks ago hoping to get some sort of resolution and have not received a reply at all (I know the website also says it can take up to 30 days to receive a reply, this obviously shows they care enough about their players to be prompt... NOT) They do not care about us, it’s not worth the grind anymore. Not after spending money on this game and getting a big middle finger back from Jagex. Also, the app crashes often on IOS when you use the map or get into a heavily populated area like the G.E.
Almost as good a port as it gets
by Gone Slayin on 2018/10/31 01:07
While my time with this client has been limited to today, I am confident in my 5 star rating. The game looks and runs flawlessly similar to the desktop version. The user interface is easy to understand right from the get go, and functions virtually exactly like the desktop client. If I had ONE complaint, it would be it is TOO faithful to the original Old School Client. Some small tweaks could be made in the future. For example, holding down on a pile of items should be allow you to pick up the every item on the tile. The minimap and drop down menu could be slightly bigger, or customizable for those of us with larger fingers. But these are small changes. The UI is easily the most important aspect of a mobile port, and Jagex hit a slam dunk here. Would I attempt fight caves or God wars dungeon on this port? No. But that's not what this port was meant for. The thing is, if I was so inclined, it would be possible. That speaks volume of this port. I expect RuneScape to have a surge of popularity after this port. Expect to make new friends running into others playing this game at airports and coffee shops. I hope the extra revenue from new memberships will lead to even better and more frequent updates to the game in the future. If you haven't returned to runescape in years, or you've never played it to begin with, now is the best time I history to jump back into the adventure.
The best game in existence.
by homie1kinobi on 2018/11/02 21:22
Let me start by addressing many bad ratings for the game. The name of this game is Old School RuneScape (OSRS). Many people came back for the nostalgia but were disappointed when their account had seemingly been wiped clean and had to start over. Your account still exists, just in the newer updated version. OSRS brings back the memories for many players but requires them to start over. This should be a minor set-back for most, as I’d rather have to start over and have OSRS than to not have OSRS at all. Others come to the game brand new looking for another mobile game to waste time in. However, they come to a halt when they’re not sure where to go. The game page has a lot of hints and descriptions about the type of game it is, so unfortunately these reviews are due to lack of reading. The one thing I wish the game had would be clearer instructions or suggestions that appear to help newer players progress.
Child hood dream achieved
by zenobrooks on 2019/06/19 01:38
Ever since I was a young child I played RuneScape and we always joked about and wished they would release a mobile version and do the same silly stuff we did as kids. Now it’s finally out and I couldn’t be happier. Mainly because I can use AFK methods while I’m at work and play actively when not working, or away from my computer. I’ve tried so many other games after I quit RS so long ago. But I yearn to play OSRS as every time I log in I’m ambushed by all the nostalgia and re-live my child hood, except I’m a lot better at the game now! I love the new added feature that you can buy membership with in game coins, formerly hated because I was a money making scrub, and not many games have that option. The self driven economy is an amazing implementation into a MMROPG with minimal inflation and deflation rates that could teach many people about how consumer demand and supply really works in the real work! Great freaking job!!!!
Something Old with Contemporary Content
by Empyreuma on 2018/11/02 16:47
Every time I log into this game, I get the same vibe I did back in 2004 when I began playing. While it looks like what we all know as Runescape 2 or the ‘07 Era, it is very much its own game regarding features and content. While there is still work to be done on the mobile interface, it is very easy to use and has minor unnoticeable issues that will get polished out over time. If you want to find something you can play for a long time at a reasonable cost, look no further as this game is the definition of grind without the micro transactions that usually come with the mobile genre. You have the option to play completely free or pay a monthly subscription fee. You can also use in-game currency to purchase bonds that can be exchanged for subscription time similar to other free-to-play mmo business models. It’s a great game and is worth checking out if mmorpgs are your cup of tea.
DO NOT ACCEPT THIS GAME’S FREE TRIAL!!!
by Fsthfhosrosflchz on 2019/02/07 01:20
I downloaded this game last month and signed up for a free trial. The catch was I had to provide a credit card, but I figured I could take the card off before the trial ends. What they DON’T tell you is that this game’s company goes out of its way to make that very simple process as complicated as possible. I’ve tried doing it from my phone, but that required a password change. Once I changed it, the game wouldn’t recognize the old password. I tried logging in from my computer, but when I went to manage my account, it said I didn’t have a subscription. I was charged regardless and I asked my bank to refund the first month, but for whatever reason, that didn’t stop them from charging me for a second month! Bottom line, this game is a scam. Once they have your card number, they’ll do anything in their power to keep it and force you to pay endlessly. Now I have to take time out of my day and call customer service, HOPEFULLY I’ll get somewhere with that. In the meantime, all I can do is convince as many people as I can to not get this game’s free trial, not unless you want to keep the subscription for life!
Jagex is a well-oiled machine
by OSRS Bum on 2019/04/17 14:16
Old School RuneScape or OSRS, is a great and fun game for anyone to pick up. I use to play back in 06-09 era then when to college and time to play greatly diminished. I always loved Runescape as it was a great piece of my childhood and missed how I couldn’t give it as much attention. Then I saw ads for OSRS on mobile and was curious. I checked it out and was impressed immediately. There will be bugs but I believe Jagex is a true listener to the community and acts rapidly and accordingly. It helped me get back into a RuneScape with its simple and easy to manage app. I’m more causal now but play nearly every day because of the convenience of the app on the go. This has been a huge blessing! I definitely recommend to curious, new, or older returning players who “grew” up and don’t have the time. Mobile makes it simple as well as you can pick back up on a pc when you’re home or have more dedicated free time to spare.

Just like the computer
by Mumuffin on 2019/11/09 00:46
OSRS mobile app did a great job of being literally the exact same as the game on your computer. It has a tough learning curve but if you know what you’re doing this game will make you grind and challenge you.

My First Impressions
by rockamybaby on 2019/11/07 19:41
This game is good telling from the tutorial, Since I’m new to this game I don’t really know much about but from the tutorial it is really good and I don’t regret anything.

Also can play with your same account on mobile iOS / Android, and PC.

by Saenzleslie7 on 2019/11/01 15:58
I’ve been RuneScape on and off for years now.

Every time I force close it, it refuses to start again (stuck on black screen) until I fully restart my phone. No amounts of force close will fix it.

by Higley on 2019/10/29 04:24
My account is stuck in a “mini game” that I want to get out of, but it won’t let me… I can’t see what this “Mime” is doing and I don’t want to be a part of it, I’d just like to go back to being able to do what I was with my $12/month subscription.

Love this game!!!

I really love this game I have been playing for 12 years and all I can say is I am not tired of playing this exciting game. Love RS3 as well. Can’t wait for that to come on mobile soon!
Drop stacks
by whydietry on 2019/10/27 12:49
Example; when I’m barraging nechs, smoke devils, dust devils when they are stacked up in on spot once I kill them all and go to pick up the items all it shows is examine. Just started happening not too long ago and it needs to be fixed.

by R.Morrell on 2019/10/26 15:18
I have played RuneScape off and on since the original RuneScape.
Mobile Life
by RogueRuskie on 2019/10/26 11:28
I have loved Runescape for years, but I'm not typically one to sit down at my computer to play it. But with this amazing mobile app I can still play my favorite game! The only downside is it eats up battery-life, so keep a mobile charger on hand. Still not enough to drop a star: for a game this size on a mobile device, it is expected.

Osrs
by ZackaryDaniel91 on 2019/10/26 00:05
I’ve played runescape since the rsc and rs2 days. I’m not sure if it’s because of the power consumption or what.. thank you!

Long standing player
by Tboysen11 on 2018/11/17 00:37
I have played RuneScape since i was pretty young.

Great but there is definitely some work to be done
by -The One Who Knocks on 2018/10/30 18:09
I play OSRS often and when I’ve been following the news for mobile for a while so I decided to give it a shot (keep in mind I only played mobile for like 2hrs before making this)I knew this was more for the beginner or the guy that wants to lvl up while using the bathroom so I downloaded it and the login screen is very pleasing but the GUI of the actual game needs some working on it runs great on my iPhone 6 but the GUI is just bad we don’t need a button for the trade requests and the clan chat and all and the game chat it just takes up too much screen real estate and all the stuff on the left of the screen like emotes and stuff is just not needed it can be put in a sub menu infact that’s what the chat needs as well a sub menu and if you don’t do Any of these just please lower the sensitivity on the zoom in and out thanks and just btw I’m not a hater I adore OSRS I’ve been a player for a long time and I super anxious to receive my records I bought from you guys it’s just this app needs a little work and hopefully it will help the OSRS fan base grow -xSTEAMYx on the scape
