Rip off game!
by HBOsEND on 2020/02/28 04:16
It’s almost like you have to spend quite a bit of money or the game pairs you against higher opponents. You’re better off to just buy a game system and buy the game. Complete waste of money.
Worst example of pay to win
by Bdizzle76 on 2020/02/26 15:09
Title says it all. At silver rank its so slow to level units even with high win rate because you need upgrade cards you HAVE to buy to reasonably level for the people who buy constantly
Took a huge turn for the worse, somewhere along the way
by Eclipse897 on 2020/02/26 08:51
Played this game when it first came out and was pleasantly surprised with the gameplay. Nothing felt op and the community was alive and fun to be a part of. Fast forward to today, and holy hell this game is unbalanced. Trying to climb the ladder is nigh impossible because everyone is max rank and unit level matters a LOT. But the only way to level up is to pay, or play a ton, and playing in gruesome to say the least, since nearly every match is insanely one sided which makes the game a brutal slog that’s frankly not worth anyone’s time. They tried to remedy this by making you not lose points when playing against over leveled opponents but frankly that is more of a cop out than an actual solution for figuring out how to balance the game. The last thing anyone wants to do is suffer match after match until you manage to scrape together a win through user error on the side of your roided-out opponent rather than getting to enjoy engaging gameplay that challenges your skill rather than your pocketbook. With balance, and a LOT of it, this game could be great. Until then, I’d give it a 0/5 if I could. (P.s. the UI bug that’s been in this game for weeks now is unacceptable for a game published by a major developer. What the hell guys?!)
Fun but big issues
by Ryan294774 on 2020/02/26 02:51
I really liked this game for a week or so. As I leveled up I got thrown into higher level matches which are ridiculous. I have access to level 15 units and the opponent has up to level 60. Those high level units crush anything I have so I don’t see any reason to keep playing.
***WARNING, GREAT BUT...***
by EmployedHere on 2020/02/25 23:00
It’s great real time strategy. Just be warned however, that the developers only match you with players that have the best counter for your set up. Otherwise, there would be a lot of steam rolling from certain players. So, the trick is to not get frustrated with other players, it’s the developer who matched you according to a preset algorithm. Good Luck, and Happy Fight!!!
Over consumed with bugs
by cavv2010 on 2020/02/25 19:52
It is a fun game but compared to other apps even streaming video it takes way too much battery life for shot term use which could be that it’s not secure enough and has many bugs using resources Support team does very little to assist when reaching out for troubleshooting request. They can’t even pull up your account info from email address! They are either lazy or just don’t know their own platform!
Pay To Win
by PianoGoth on 2020/02/25 19:16
You will quickly realize the only way to advance is to win. Strips any fun the game had. Truly cheap rendition of Command and Conquer.
Don’t play to much
by Busadaddy1300 on 2020/02/25 18:54
Game is great until you reach a certain point and then you only fight battles you can’t win against hard/computer opponents that have units I’ve never even seen.
I miss the old C&C
by Sonarcreature on 2020/02/25 02:46
Although, this game is fun. I want my old game back. I want to build massive armies on a big map with bases. Where time limits on units not affected by units trained at different buildings.
Good
by zhansen06 on 2020/02/24 17:40
I played the originals back in the day, and this game is a nice spin on those classics. They did a good job bringing back the original characters and units. The gameplay is short and sweet - perfect for a mobile device. It’s fun figuring out which units work best against others and planning your strategy. This game is not original in the least bit. I’m not a fan of all the micro-transactions being offered or the events which promise great rewards - if only you pay for more gems. This game is great on its foundations. I would happily pay a one time fee to unlock it. Unfortunately the entire game is based around micro-transactions and wouldn’t really work without a complete re-design to get around this. It feels like all the other games on the App Store, such as Clash of Clans or Domination - both games which I have stopped playing due to repetitive gambling behaviors that just aren’t fun. Due to this, I give it 3 stars. Also, the graphics are glitchy on my iPhone 11.
Amazing game... but
by veritas-77 on 2020/02/23 22:37
The ranking system is horrible You will constantly be battling some one way higher level then yourself or... you will be battling some one way higher of a rank. At that point it becomes a waist of time after three losses in a row.
Actual trash
by Roys my boy on 2020/02/23 16:17
I’ve never deleted a game so fast after getting it. The AI would do things I never told it to do. The maps are boring and the same. This game feels like the devs got lazy. I could easily make better maps. The card mechanics make this an obvious p2w game. I would never recommend this game to anyone.
Pay to play
by 7shamrocks on 2020/02/23 12:34
Would be great if not ruined by pay to play. The user is constantly bombarded with special offers and “rewards” which, surprise, must actually be purchased. This money-grubbing is so overt and annoying that it detracts from the game experience. Won a tournament? Here are your rewards. Just kidding—that will be $5.99. Look, your earning bonus cards. Just a few more, then you get them. Haha, sucker. Get out your credit card again because those “bonuses” will cost you.
The “Harvester Attack Game”
by SniperServicesInc on 2020/02/22 17:15
So pretty much if you want to actually fight with some semblance of honor this game is not for you. Even when your opponent has much higher level weapons they will only go after your harvester because 99% of the people playing have no real skill or strategy aside from attacking harvesters. It has gotten so bad that I share the replays to the alliance (Lil🐈’s attack Harvesters) and brutally rate the players skill and as a person. There really should be some balance maybe the harvesters get armor or a weapon upgrade as match progresses or perhaps the idiot programmers will stop rewarding full value for no skill harvester attackers, they can still get the win but a much lower 1/4 payout of points... I’ve fought the urge to come out the gate attacking harvesters as all the no talent losers do now and most of the time on challenge battles I just continually build harvesters and nothing else so maybe they’ll get bored of being 🐈s next time but since they can’t win any other way that’ll be their only strategy. Perhaps if more people just rebuilt the free harvester after it was destroyed when in challenge battles (no points lost lose) people would take the hint. So in summary if you like getting your butt kicked the same way every time by players that already have a level advantage... this game is for you. If you want to fight with honor your probably going to hate this game. Update: So this is a Pay to Play game... at some point you reach a point that unless you are willing to pay for better stuff it becomes boring. Everyone beyond about level 11 has paid. The vault you’ve been filling is only accessible with diamonds which you more than likely have to pay for. The side missions are the games side hustle... you fight through several modified battles with either one missile or four at the end you find you can either get $50 of if you’ll buy diamonds you get $1000, 100 rare cards, and whatever other fabulous prize carrot they decided will feed the coin. Maybe if there was a paid for version say $9.99 full game that unlocked the better rewards instead of the buy more diamonds ripoff it’d be more fun but as it stands I’m about to delete the game because everyone I’m pitted against has paid to have only the finest highest unbeatable stuff which is just lame.
One star
by nickname reeeesee on 2020/02/21 03:18
Great game design but, in orders to win you half to pay money so stupid game
Challenge Battles?
by HopeLessSou1 on 2020/02/20 17:29
Seriously battling high level opponents while not having the cards to evenly match the player I’m up against is very frustrating instead of an even match
Awesome game...But
by Adrackll on 2020/02/20 15:46
So the game is very good. The problem is with these challenge battles that allow you to push up the ladder. You can’t lose points. At this point all battles are challenge so everyone is. Dry tough. If they weren’t in the game at all it would be five stars.
After a while
by dum boi on 2020/02/19 19:54
The matchmaking gets super unfair, I’m getting matched up with max level players so I’m at a huge disadvantage, if it’s not bad enough that my opponent has units 4 levels higher, they have the best units such as mammoth tanks and avatars but I’m unable to counter them because there’s no real way of stopping them
Frustrating and annoying.
by Hawks1!! on 2020/02/18 19:34
I had to remove the app. It was disappointing and not any pleasure to play when all you do is lose. Soooo if you want to lose and then lose and then win about 3 games and then keep losing because they put you against someone that are many levels higher then you.....then you will Love this game. They need to fix how they match up but after reading soooo many reviews saying this. I am guessing that won’t happen.
Was good going down hill fast

Uneven gameplay
by Quinn088 on 2020/02/18 04:56
This game is way to uneven at times...you can be ranked 25...going against a 46...with no hopes of winning unless you decide to spend a ton of money. Fix your matchmaking!!!!!
Screen is dirty
by hahay0910 on 2020/02/17 21:15

I love this game.
Algorithm problem...
by Steph95356 on 2020/02/15 19:05
Not sure how they “match” people but I’m a level 40 and they keep matching me with level 60+ players.... It’s unfair!!!! They need to fix it where all same level players with level equipment should be able to fight or at least give the option if they feel confident enough to love up like the “sub” level games. It’s so infuriating I’m thinking about to stop playing the game. Lastly, there’s some weird glitch on iPhone app the makes the Tiberium pixelated. It’s looks really funny. I miss the old command and conquer games or even the original red alert platform. :,( can’t wait for that to come out/remastered. I hope they don’t change the sequence of play.
Great pocket strat game
by SK8ZOM313 on 2020/02/14 10:41
Duuude, this game is deeeecent. Whyaintchaplaynit? what, youd rather play some game where weirdo peds hangout playing against tweens, so they can use their legendary fuzzy dice w/ epic flatulence card that gets bonus attacks against some dillweed-looking guy with a pencil mustache and , i dunno, rides on some kinda giraffe with snakes for arms or something? ya, cuz that's real slick lol
New unit for nod
by agent S. 4567 on 2020/02/14 07:21
I think there should be shadow troopers to be as the jump jets but they go over mountains lakes and troopers and good with their duel pistols to take down snipers and LMGs. Please make this unit because this will be really cool from Kane’s wrath.
Pay to win
by kkkkkasssuud on 2020/02/13 23:46
You literally go against pay to win player they have way higher level troops then yours it like clash royal your a level 1 arena going against a level 5 arena a totally unfair disadvantage
Not as good as the original

It’s an ok game but no where as good as the original pc version
Add the scrin
by Codybrovo on 2020/02/12 03:00

Clumsy controls, poor connection
by hsbdbdnjdm on 2020/02/11 22:56
Constantly loses connection during gameplay. Clumsy controls are inadequate for such a micro heavy game. Extremely frustrating to play.

Good game but laggy and buggy
by Billionpredator on 2020/02/11 10:41
Although the game is competitive and amazing it still has a lot of bugs and the game server is laggy. The worst part of this game is stability. On my iPhone 11, I have crash multiple times during battles and game graphic is becoming stretching over and over.

New Players Beware - Matchmaking is Broken
by b-Rain man on 2020/02/10 21:13
Fun game, but matchmaking is broken. Matches are a foregone conclusion when someone who just started playing is matched up with players who have substantially higher level troops and units you have no counter against.
outmatched and out spent
by smeginald on 2020/02/09 16:29
i gave this game a second shot , i redownloaded and started fresh building up only what i would use. choosing to only play NOD up to about level 6 things were evenly matched . now every match is a challenge battle . while you don’t lose any trophies it’s not fun to get clobbered every match . no matter the combination , you will be dominated .
Great game but PvP is lacking
by rad725 on 2020/02/08 23:22
Love the C&C reboot but when the PvP are continuously either three levels above or three below, either you get bored with smashing or getting smashed. Started out playing for a while, now after a battle or two, it’s time to close and move to the next game.
Excellent fast paced strategy
by Spymaster64 on 2020/02/08 13:34
Its a Quick strategy game that is very addictive for those who are into challenging games vs other in real time or vs A.I. Pick your troops depending on the strategy of attack you like and go challenge players online. You always keep wanting to play more matches since its quick game.
Just deleted the App
by TeeeRekt on 2020/02/08 00:12
I’m a huge C&C fan and this game has everything going for it... Except, it’s mostly tailored to pay to win crowds. PvP is very unbalanced. It punishes good players by bringing progress to a screeching halt. Eventually, you are matched with, 90% of the time, with units/players that out level you by 2-3 lvl which doesn’t seem like a lot but it’s enough to make hard-counter units get squished like bugs by units they would otherwise ravage if they were around the same lvl. I would recommend trying it out but eventually it gets old when you climb the ladder high enough. Hence why I deleted it and it will never be my go-to mobile game.
Pay to play :(
by DieselFartz on 2020/02/07 20:16
Lots and f fun but if you don’t purchase upgrades you will be outmatches and it’s no fun.
Boring, needs an update
by scarver2 on 2020/02/07 13:40
The gameplay is practically the same on every level. Once you reach the top, your stuck playing the same game and opponents on the same terrain. This is no where near as fun as the original C&C games. EA resurrect the joy of playing this game.
Exciting game play
by KLabe07 on 2020/02/07 03:48
This is a very exciting, almost stressful game to play. At times it can be frustrating when they pair you up with challenge opponents, but losing doesn’t count toward your win streak or medal loss. Also, it can be very one-dimensional with having only PvP, but every opponent has a different strategy, so every battle is different. Plus there are plenty of opportunities to upgrade your troops for free. I don’t think you have to spend a dime on this game to have fun.

Best pvp game
by predatorpitbull on 2020/02/05 06:52
Love pvp gameplay overall need to add more units, perhaps a 3rd faction. Copy original c&c with 3 factions. Use to be USA, China, GLA. Change the names as you already have with Nod and GDI but same basic concept. Having a 3rd team will have many unforeseen benefits including more money potential
Yes Yes YES
by JQuePi on 2020/02/05 03:26
Give me more! This was my game for all times! I had to always upgrade my pc when new releases were out. This version is the skirmish that can get your heart racing in an instant when your in the game. Thinking ahead and having a strategy and plan with a few extra more moves in the back of your head thinking your going to out deploy the other gamer. This again is my favorite game and if your played the pc version in the past this is your new home.
Worst game ever, wonder why this review isn’t on the app download
by Kingzoor on 2020/02/05 02:48
I go back to the very beginning and C&C is my favorite game ever, but this version is the very worst. I own every game ever put out. I’ve played 20 matches. 18 were challenge matches which I went up against players 10 levels above me. I know they were because of the weapons they used. It takes months to get any where in this game because your always getting your but kicked by higher level players. You literally have no chance to do anything. How do you expect new players to advance and get higher if you have no chance to win. WORST C&C GAME EVER MADE!
Don’t bother
by vlad the emperor on 2020/02/05 01:25
Developers abandoned shipped with mobile version. Don’t even bother. They won’t fix it. It has gotten worse. Now crashes so many times.
Not willing to pay you can’t progress
by bdflcs on 2020/02/04 15:13
You get to a point quickly when every battle is against supper high ranked and opponents with units way beyond your own
Enjoyable to a point
by Masekle on 2020/02/04 11:47
The game is very enjoyable until you reach a certain point. This point until you start near master rank. Then once you do reach master rank you can forget about it, unless your a fan of pay to win. Example, it takes 3 laser squads at tier 1 lvl 10 to take out a tier ? lvl 11 buggy. It cost 8000 coin to upgrade 1 tier at lvl 10. Hence the pay to win. I believe about 90% of community at master rank are pay to win. That number probably grows as you increase in rank. Even with the rest at the end of the season (drops your rank down based on w/l ratio, I believe) is not sufficient because you will be back in that pool in little yo no time. So now i have not play a entire season or two just to make competitive. Because currently it is a waste of time or worse food for someone to play with.
Unfair match making
by Ur King $$$$ on 2020/02/04 00:47
Don’t waste your time playing this game. Example if you are a level 9 you all ways play against level 10 or better and there armies are so much stronger than yours you have to pay to upgrade your army just to have a chance at winning
Too many cheaters!
by TheymanM on 2020/02/03 22:35

The game great but needs improvement

Game is a joke
by Don't bother 12 on 2020/02/02 18:11
So anytime you change your troop configuration the game automatically changes the opponents your going against. You think your making changes to counter your opponents, but the game just puts you against other teams that counter your attack. It’s pretty ridiculous, you just end up going in circles. The purpose of this is because they want you to get frustrated, so you upgrade your Tripp’s and purchase more items. They are just money hungry. Pay to win!!!!!!
Unfair balancing
by app scrutinator on 2020/02/02 15:27
You can battle well at first, but then the computer wants you to spend more money and if you don’t, then you will lose and decrease your score. It’s too bad EA practices this type of pay to play. I can understand pay to level up, but the type of matching snipe when you don’t pay is evil and screws players The AI makes sure you are battling opponents that are stronger then you. PAY TO PLAY!!
Meh.
by Boohonky on 2020/02/02 03:05
Typical pay to play game. I reached level 10 and saw it didn’t matter the level. A level 3 had weapons that killed everything I had in 1 shot. I’m not talking about the small stuff. The 70’s and 130’s. 1 shot. He had more units on the map than I ever had in previous games combined. I can only crank out around 5-6 before it slows me to a crawl. This player had about 10 at any given time. All would wipe anything I sent in 1-2 quick shots. Sure you could play until you ranked up and enjoy the few wins but the game is like every other pay to play. Spend money, throw the “game” aspect out the window. It’s like an arcade game. No matter how good you are, you have to keep throwing money at it to win. It was ok but now it’s been replaced by other games. If they ever bring back the original style command and conquer I’d play but this is generic pay to play banking on nostalgia.
Auto match making is a joke
by MR. Awsome87 on 2020/02/02 02:17
Most often you will be matched with some with 2+ levels on you. Not normally a big deal but at the levels units are unlocked it’s definitely unfair to the lower level. I put $2 in this game wont be putting any more into it. Its 100% a wallet warrior game. Uninstalling for sure.

Matchmaking is garbage level 4-6 I keep getting put with 8/9 and above bases with players who have maxed out units It’s horrendous fix the matchmaking the game will be so much more fun I’m So disappointed I loved this when it first came out on my last phone it’s horrible now
Disgrace to the C&C franchise
by n8236 on 2020/01/31 03:02
Yes, you have to move with the times. But if you’re going to do it, don’t forget your heritage. Challenged Battles are poorly balanced. Your opponents will destroy you most of the time and it’s just an ego boost for paid members. For the non-paid, the losing gets old fast and there aren’t really many ways to move up unless you grind it out for months or pay dearly. Once at level 8+, upward mobility becomes very limited and quickly expires your motivation to play. If Redwood wants to entice non-paying players to pay, they need to rethink their coin system. All the units get extremely expensive and cards become too spread out among all the units for upgrades. As a non-paying player, the small fortune I spend needs to be more rewarding where it leads to realistic wins. Right now, it doesn’t translate to that. Lessen the aggressiveness in asking for $ and make it fun. The $ will roll in then. The bot fights are also worthless as the AI is hot garbage and you can’t choose difficulty. Stop trying so hard to gain paid members and actually execute on making the game better. What a total yawn fest.

Pay to play garbage
by cohmian on 2020/01/30 14:55
This game is total crap. Once you hit a certain level the game only matches you against players of significantly higher level. If you don’t pay to upgrade your units you can not compete and you will never win a match again. Every time I get in a Mach it’s always a challenge match in which my opponent is at minimum 3 levels higher than me. Total waste of time unless you like paying money to advance. I’m so sick of this model of mobile gaming everything seems to be built around it now because the developers care more about their money than they do their players. Just make the game a paid app and make it fair for everyone.
Medieval version?
by lovableduke on 2020/01/30 03:43
Having another version with the same gameplay but looks different and with different units would be amazing, just keep the mechanics.
Too Bad
by Rickus22 on 2020/01/30 02:18
I am adding this. If you want help and your iPad loads the Help using Safari, it will not load with Safari. No help for you. Also, the graphic problem with the flickering Tiberium ore is still going on after more then a month. Crashed twice on me today (Jan 28 2020) while loading a match and each time I was penalized as a loss. EA fix the problems! Some service for all the money spent, PLEASE. From a pure gaming perspective I would give this game 5 stars. Plenty of weapons, game is fairly intense, good graphics and definitely good strategy is required. However, this game is designed to take cash out of you wallet. You cannot progress or upgrade your weapons without spending a lot. Also, more advanced players get resources faster so they can build more weapons then you and at a faster rate making extremely difficult to win, unless you want to spend more money. And the final cheat. If you are Colonial Jackson or his opposite in Nod you can use there abilities to super speed up the harvesters and thus be able to produce premium weapons at a very rapid rate. The top end advance by challenging the lower end who they know they should defeat and they advance even further. More then once I had an opponent produce 5 super tanks. I just had an opponent attack me with 5 Titans when I barely had time to produce one with the same 2 harvesters. I am maxed out on level 60 but that restarts itself about monthly so you can max out again. The best part is the contests where they limit your level so you have a fairer chance against opponents that would normally be several levels above you. This should be the core of the regular game. Too Bad it is not.
Love the game on my iPone 6 S plus but not on my new phone iPhone 11 Pro Max

Great game love it, give it only 4 stars for one reason, vanity cards? I’ve been aging and spending money some last year and still no vanity. Going off track here... my new iPhone 11 has graphic glitch while playing the game. Why? It’s a newer platform you say you have updates for it but doesn’t seem to be the case henc 4 star.

Zero hour and command and conquer generals is the only generals game I’ll ever play. Makes you feel like you are in command of a real army not this futuristic bologna.
Great game of strategy!
by Interested0002 on 2020/01/27 04:03
Great game ! There is no one army composition to win, and no one way to play your army. E To sin, one must adjust to respond to what the enemy does. Also, you must prioritize which units o train. Have fun!

Not well balanced
by awesomo6000 on 2020/01/26 20:59
Basically once you’ve played for 3-4 days, every match is a “challenge match” meaning you’ll go up against opponents who have units that none of the units in your army can kill. You just become fodder for the PTW
Cash grab
by Bkestel71 on 2020/01/25 15:03
Love the game but unless you spend a lot of money you will get stuck and won’t advance. Constantly playing higher level units you just can’t beat. Very frustrating

When I first saw the review I was skeptical. I’m a long time fan of C&C so I wasn’t sure how this would fill the void. I must say I’m literally addicted to this game. It takes strategy and focus. I do think it could be three rounds versus two but that’s my only gripe.
Love and hate
by Keithnickname on 2020/01/22 23:32
This is a game of very quick head-to-head battle with others. I’ve been playing it for a few days. It started out fun, I would win most games. Then, as I progressed I found that most matches are uneven. Rarely do I get an opponent that I win against because most have much higher level equipment than I do. Winning 10% of the time doesn’t make me want to spend more money on the game, it makes me want to find something else.
Typical pay to play.
by ydogggg on 2020/01/22 02:28
Same old pay to play junk on the AppStore. You’ll just get sucked into another money pit paying to level up so you can win. You will get more enjoyment smashing your iPhone on the ground after the 10th lost battle due to “connection error” problems than playing the actual game. Go watch cat videos, don’t waste your time with this pile of...greedy poopoo.

Hard to play due to graphics lag
by madmax4494 on 2020/01/21 21:08
Graphics aren’t terrible but once the screen starts loading up with stuff it lags so badly that you can’t play it easily and lags behind which in turn lets your opponent beat you. Would not recommend
Ok game for awhile.
by Bigfist11 on 2020/01/21 05:26
Like most games you will need to spend money. 90% of the time you will not win. It’s just the way EA has it set up. You will be battling in challenge matches 98% of the time against opponents who are way above your level, no hope of winning, so you just surrender and pick up a few points. Don’t bother looking on EA site for help, there not going to fix it, it’s the biggest compliant. Fun game for a little while. Update, something changed. Made game even worse. 12-9-19. Some how, even after spending money, and working your way up, the other team some how has more to spend than you do and can do it faster. I’ve watched the reply’s, . How???? FEBRUARY..Challenge battles. The opposing team starts out with more money. What the hell????
I love it!!!!!!

Pay for play ...
by Peter Kentucky on 2020/01/18 17:43
It is well created but matchmaking isn’t the best . Developers want you to pay for better equipment in order to win battles- players who don’t pay, play vs. better equipped enemies and it s hard to keep up with overpowered troops . At the end it annoyed me and I decided to delete this app.

Pros: Game is fast paced, solid, and unforgiving to those who can't react on time. It's not an RTS in the traditional sense, but it's a great version for mobile gameplay and I play it daily! Cons: - The Tiberium has a pixelated glitch eveey time I play it on my iPad Air and it's not getting fixed even though the developers and community managers are seemingly aware of it. Shame cause I would love rather play it on my iPad. - The microtransactions which obviously fund the game cause there's no ads are too expensive and aren't worth the reward. I invested just a bit because I want to be supportive, but I wish they took more ideas out of Clash Royale. - Worst of all the development of the game just seemed very neglected over the past several years. It's been a while since any new units or skins were introduced, the prices are still the same, and as much as I would like the game to have a Red Alert and Generals cross-over in the future, the development seems so neglected that it's hard to ever see it happening at this point. I would totally pay $5/mo for season passes like I did to Clash Royale before this game became my #1 and I am writing this review with love and hope for a better fan service and so I could eventually change the scote to 5/5. Thank you for reading my review.

It was fun until
by esoTeriq on 2020/01/14 17:01
I feel like this was almost a great game. I had a lot of fun playing until I started getting matched with people 2 and 3 full levels higher. my win rate went from about 70% down to less than 10%. It’s really frustrating being stuck in a tier where most of your wins come from your opponent surrendering (which I now know was so they wouldn’t end up in this exact situation). It’s like a game of paper rock scissors but your opponent pays cash to get two tries
Make a new unit called the toxic zombie
by Jakikoripiba on 2020/01/13 21:37
The toxic zombie is on team nod and can only defeat infantry. They will only attack ground units and run normal speed. Their ability to make more zombies by defeating infantry units. Also another ability to stand on the crystals. and for a cost to spawn them is 30 crystals from the hands of nod.
My favorite mobile game
by spartan1231 on 2019/10/09 04:35
I started playing this game and I found it slow and myself out matched. I still played it on the side. Once I unlocked some very powerful units. I started to dominate the competition and found it very satisfying. I found that my units were to similar and I changed it up to win more. I hit level 30 and thought it took much to long to level up but I started to learn how to use to units I already had and master them. I kept playing and after few months the game began to feel simple and easy. As I was getting close to quitting I unlocked new units and began to learn to play with them. These new units were different than the rest. They were much more specialized than the others creating a massive advantage if used properly but a huge weak point of not. As I neared the max level I figured out that to many expensive units are to difficult to make and get overrun if not supported. So I turned back to some of the first units I got and it really made a difference. I am still changing how I play. The game is constantly getting new units to use each with their own abilities and weaknesses. The game is to good to just read about you have to get it and try it for yourself. Give it time it will feel simple started out and like every time you fight you either dominate or get dominated. This changes and the battles will feel like a struggle.
An enjoyable walk down memory lane
by Teutates1987 on 2018/12/19 02:25
I had my reservations when I saw the promotion for the game because I grew up with C&C. It was the first PC game I played as a kid and I’ve played all the games up to Tiberium Wars 4. The game is a little less involved than the PC version (obviously because it is on mobile), but that doesn’t take away from the addictive game play. Matches are short and fairly balanced. There is a level of strategy involved (the most expensive units are not always the best to field). Leveling up units is straight forward and it doesn’t make you feel like EA is out for a money grab pay-to-win “strategy” game like so many so-called “strategy” game apps. If I were to give it a critique, it would be the build times. Every unit across your build list loads at one time so you can field a soldier in the same time it takes to build a Wolverine mech. It would be nice to see some of the PC build times included where barracks build unit faster and cheaper but are weaker to the more expensive longer build time units. All-in-all, it does make me want to bust out some of the older PC games and give them another spin.
Thoroughly Good game, but pay to win.
by Tayd0gta on 2019/12/23 05:53
This game is great, with lots of units, strategies and characters (and C&C lore too) and presents a definite drive to grind. But it thrives on pay to play, I can not help but think that my opponent who has massively higher level units has paid to be able to win when I have not spent a dollar. Pay for play takes you out of the game, wrecks the immersion and the thrill of the battle, as how well you do in the outside world comes into the game (paycheck size or willingness of parents, yes the younger people as well are in this). You play a game to escape the outside world, not see it come to wreck in just another way. I recognize that it is how the company makes its money but perhaps it could make its money off of cosmetics. This could include unit skins, map skins, possibly an in-game map maker feature as dlc. Possibly special colors and effects for special abilities and unit kills. They already have emotes to buy, I do not understand why this game can not be like League of Legends or similar games and allow a fair playing field and still make a killing on hardcore fans, which are most of the people who play this game on a daily basis anyways. If you want to make it to the top without paying, you can, but it will be a hard.. and long journey, that unfortunately doesn’t get to be that way for others. But it could be, the developers willing..
Fun but yes pay to win! End of story
by cadillak4209 on 2019/01/06 03:42
Now I’m not saying I don’t love the game because I do I just spent my first 20 $ over the last week and am now lvl 10 and in both leagues silver and one gold and can barely compete basically 2 or 3 losses per win. Ima tell you straight out a few tips first play and enjoy the game cuz it’s mostly bots or guys who really don’t give a dam at first who you’ll be playing with this is the best times you’ll .... after you unlock nod at lvl join an alliance this is key and join a big one because you donate cards and they do to so this helps you get the cards without paying and this is when the game becomes major pay 2 play like how I’m having trouble now even 20$ in..so yes you will pay because wen it’s 3,000 credits and 150 cards to level up a rifleman squad by god you will pay or play till next year for them lol now is it fun? Yes does it have robots and cool space vehicles? Yes do you build the base? Not really but yea I guess so...so join an alliance be prepared to spend a little money like I said I spent 20$ and am having a little trouble still which is why I dropped my rating to three star...and pls add campaign like South Park phone destroyer to unlock cards! And increase currency and xp gain per win or just do somerhing where we can get stuff for free I don’t mind paying but 20$ in a still getting rolled on come on EA!thx for reading my long review just wanted it to be honest - Cadillak(in the game)
Good game, but...
by Robert Seeber on 2018/12/18 00:50
The game is fun, but when I saw the ad, I was thinking of a large scale battlefield with mobile bases and a thousand ways to attack, and the ability to capitalizing on the stats of either the allies, Soviet Union, or the Imperial Empire like in Red Alert, but when I started playing the game, the feeling from the original games when away and left me with an “oh...” kinda feeling, the game itself isn’t that bad, but it barely relates to the original games, the screen is fixed in a certain area without and movement, the bases are fixed in place, the need to build endless fields power plants and other essentials and gone, and it’s purely a capture this point kinda game that personally gets boring really quickly, it’s not so bad that I can’t even look at it anymore and rave about it on Twitter, but it wasn’t nearly what I was expecting and gets boring easily, but at least it brings in new features like personal troop upgrades though, and it’s a red vs blue style game, but I hope that we get a game like that soon where we can rest on feelings nostalgia while besting the Soviet Union at every turn with our friends, or fail and get crushed by the hammer over and over again with said friends. Thank you for reading this review if you did, and I hope I’ve given you guys some new ideas for updates or new games
This isn’t command and conquer
by FällWölf on 2019/07/28 22:11
I have played this game for a good two weeks and I am disappointed to say this is just not a command and conquer game it doesn’t feel like one instead it feels something akin to clash royal i honestly had fun with the game for the first week but around gold one was we’re I ran into the problem of the enemy having better equipment all around, this continued until I dropped down to gold three most of this was do to me coming across ridiculously high level enemies for we’re I stand, a level ten zone trooper would eat through my level five rhinos time and time again but the worst part was when I dropped to gold three and silver twos had better troops than I did all level wise you only get a crate every four hours and have to progress like mad to get any more or wait to get them as daily rewards. This begs the question we’re are these lower level players getting these high levels, from buying crates no doubt anyone who legitimately grinds this game and has skill most likely will lose to the player who spent fifty dollars on the game and got lucky with the troops he received I know it’s a free to play game but the grind is just absurd. For anyone who truly wants to play a good command and conquer game go onto your computer and go download one there you might actually find quality.
Nothing like classic C&C, but that’s a good thing here.
by Justinchrist on 2019/07/19 21:00
They’ve done a great job converting C&C into a fast paced mobile game. There is no base building, just combat, as you and your opponent fight for control of 2 or 3 launch pads. A meter fills up when one player has the majority of launch pads, and when it’s full a missile launches on his opponent’s base. 2 missiles wins the game. Games take 2 to 5 minutes on average, which is perfect for gaming on the go. There does seem to be an issue where players who advance too quickly will suddenly find themselves consistently outmatched by about 2 unit levels. This is prettymuch like a brick wall that stops a player from getting any further up the ladder, for a while. I have 2 accounts. On my main account I advanced very slowly and have spent about $65 in micro transactions, and I get fair battles, but on my 2nd account I went on a 42 game win streak, then 35, then 51, and I’ve spent nothing, and now every match I get is a challenge battle, and that’s no exaggeration (the past 50 consecutive battles have been challenge battles). It’s pretty discouraging because I had set out to prove that free players had an equal chance in this arena, but it seem that may only be true up to a point.
Not like Red Alert 2 or Generals
by MoneyHungry-Fool on 2019/04/25 04:19
I can see myself getting bored play this game. Same thing over and over again. I was hoping for a game similar to Red Alert 2 or Generals. It is an ok game. It does takes strategy to win battles so it is close. I really would love to see the return of the Red Alert 2. That game I wouldn’t mind spending money on. Give us something that has a storyline and missions to complete. ok after playing the game for several months now i am not getting tired of the action at all. this is the most fun i have had on my ipad or iphone. i can’t get enough of this game. sure you can spend money and i have. But you don’t have too. It’s just a lot slower to level up but the fun is still there. i have been beat by low level players that had some serious game strategy. you learn a little more from every loss. i have seen people with lev 3-8 stuff in Master 1. so the whole pay to play stuff gets blown out of the water. You can climb up the ladder if you have game. End of story.
A good game ruined by bad monetization
by Ardonis84 on 2019/11/09 18:49
If you stripped out all of the pay2win elements, and completely divorced this game from f2p monetization, it would actually be a pretty good game. There’s strategy to it, and enough customization that you can easily play it for an hour or two a day without it getting too monotonous. However, unit advancement is gated behind a harsh gacha system, requiring you to find an exponentially increasing number of cards to upgrade units, along with coins, which are very difficult to grind out. You can also only get a minuscule amount of gems, the game’s RM currency, for free during play. Ultimately this all is intended to drive players to spend money, whether for loot boxes or gems, just to keep up. Furthermore, while the game hosts frequent events, the “standard” (aka free) rewards are pathetically bad, with the good rewards locked behind “premium” gates that you have to spend the game’s gem currency to acquire. Top that with the fact that tech lab units are so hands-down better than the others, a lot of what makes this game good early on vanishes after only a few days of playing. EA: just make an ACTUAL command and conquer game. I promise you, as long as you put any care and consideration into its development, people will buy it!
lvl 21 review
by CncPete on 2019/03/03 22:28
i've played all cnc from the beginning and this is nothing like the original, which is perfectly fine because there's no way a game like that could be played on a touchscreen. this game has been fun so far, but now i reached a point where i play people much higher than my rank and it says i'll earn twice the amount of xp for winning or lose no xp for losing. realistically you're going to lose most of the time against these people because they have stronger troops. now it feels like a pay to win game. also, i noticed i am playing a lot of the same opponents over and over. i guess not many people are playing this game anymore? it would be nice if they added a third faction like scrin to give the game more variety. or an even better idea would be if every commander had 2 special abilities for example kane would have obelisk of light and a nuclear bomb. or if Lt strongarm had the turret and paratroopers. having 2 abilities would be a lot more unpredictable edit: lvl 35 now, update review. i'm changing from a 3 star to a 4 star because they are constantly balancing units and releasing new units as well. 👌
This is the best mobile strategy game that no need to wait for upgrade. Just drop and boom
by Htarwara6245 on 2018/12/06 08:47
When I started playing this, I felt my self that I am playing the C&C PC games. The hexagon layout is just for placing the position which two component can’t use the same place. It’s just exactly like PC C&C games. You collect resource to construct building or train your squad using harvester. You can drop anywhere you like but make sure you drop and take the right place first. This is THE MAIN STRATEGY, people. You can destroy enemy harvester to stop enemy from collecting resources. EA give you free enough items to play this game as a pro. You only need to buy coins and diamond for upgrading your troops faster and it doesn’t require for you to wait and this is what we have been waiting for. Battle matching system is pretty much fair. You just need to play smartly. Thanks EA Team for bringing our old memories back. Suggestion: if we can attack enemy base directly, that will be great instead of owning nuke.
Not Command and Conquer™ Generals II, but also not bad.
by Bavinnie on 2019/03/06 06:22
So this game is Command and Conquer, also this game isn’t really Command and Conquer. It is a really fun mobile game that gets major kudos for not requiring “energy” or anything else to play. You can play as much as you want for free. I love that. This game has an awesome Command and Conquer skin, but to me doesn’t totally feel like a Command and Conquer. You have no control of your base, it’s just the object you protect, and I understand why. It’s a mobile game. The ability to build new buildings with more powerful units is in there but you don’t have the ability to bring your command center with you or control its location; that function and many others are completely missing from this game, but with all that said it’s a good mobile strategy game and you can play free. You also can pay and get more upgrade cards for your individual units and the large amounts of in game gold you spend to complete the upgrades along with the upgrade cards. It is a fun game I play pretty regularly and I enjoy it, Just remember that it is kinda Command and Conquer™ and kinda not.
Fix this game it should not be like this
by BlackLegion52 on 2018/12/13 13:46
I love this game but now it’s getting a little bit out of hand either someone send something towards my base that I can’t kill because it’s a way to tank he or someone just keeps taking out my collectors it and I can’t even kill that thing because half the time there is no counters for it that early on and it’s just getting out of hand I win once and then lose about three other times and then one again and then just the cycle goes on and I lose all the medals I just earned and another thing that I think you should fix is certain units that like if you have an aerial unit and you have something that can kill it it just runs away and you can’t kill it because he keeps it’s faster than you I think that some anti-air units have a long anti air range so they can’t keep running away 1 tile then coming back I think that say like the wolverine or the nod spider should have a two hexagon range which would counter most things like they’re supposed to so then you can’t really get screwed by air units ALSO flame tank still needs nerf
I don’t know who got paid to rate this game 5 stars
by CaCFan4206969420 on 2018/12/15 18:12
Anybody saying that this game isn’t pay-to-win is lying to you. The strategic element of this game is vastly overshadowed by the fact that if your troops are slightly over leveled you can absolutely crush your opponent without even trying. Also, anyone saying that they were a “big fan” of the original command and conquer and say that “this is a fun and new take on one of my favorite games as a child” has to be a bot or a review made by the EA devs themselves because it makes no sense. This game is just a command and conquer skin loosely draped over a standard battle arena game. It’s obvious that EA just slapped the command and conquer name to this irrelevant game because they had no plans whatsoever to make an actual sequel, and it’s a somewhat recognizable title that will draw in a few more downloads. This game is just another transparent cash-grab that lulls you in with fast progression in the beginning to hook you in and grinds to a crawl so you feel like you need to pay money to progress faster because you keep playing players that are a little too high of a level and your win rate plummets. Don’t waste your time on a soulless cash grab. Play literally anything else.
Great game, please balance a little more.
by Harry Fishnet on 2019/03/03 07:35
I’ve always loved command and conquer games, and the EA team has done a great job implementing the same aspects I loved into a mobile game. Amazing graphics, intense battles, and unique units and customization make for a definitely worthwhile download. My only problem is these being free to play they motivate to buy by giving you that head start for investing. I’ve spent probably over $50 on the game and still got stomped in rivals championship, only won about half the games because I was either way out-leveled or they have an avatar and I’m nowhere close to unlocking that. So another nerf to avatar and fanaticism/ heroic charge, and please make the level maximum level 9 with full training for the tournament. I only have one common card level 10 and fighting all 11s fully trained is brutal. I feel like a lower level tier would ensure that championship results are based only on skill not who has spent more on the game.
P2W CASH SHOP SPAM
by .102908(: on 2019/02/20 07:01
First of all: the game is fun.. I’ve always been the type to steer from games that require me to micromanage and this game is a perfect trainer for this. If you can’t micromanage your units, you lose. NOW for the crappy part of this game. It’s pay-2-win end of story. F2P will only get you so far before you’re getting smashed by higher level units/commanders. And even when you do spend money, it’s not enough. They are too many units that require too much gold to upgrade that become obsolete way too fast and when you level up the pool possible rewards from crates becomes even larger making your f2p progress even slower. Another thing with the P2W.. this is arguably one the most expensive and aggressive cash sho games I’ve played. Every thing is over $15 and every time a new unit or “special offer” comes up, it’s spams your menu and makes you want to delete the game. Like if you hit a button to go away from the main screen to and go back to main, a prompt to buy something pops and it does this an infinite amount of times.
Very fun!
by Drudjxx on 2019/02/04 16:57
I slaughtered the competition at first. Now I regularly get pitted against players 10 levels above me that have access to far better units. I don’t mind losing when evenly matched, but all my units have a range of 1. I get slaughtered by powerful units with a range of 2 over and over again. Also, you get good experience from the first 10 matches each day. Winning gives you a 5% bonus. So winning doesn’t really matter much as far as gaining player levels. But winning does matter to gain PvP score. It seems I am now stuck. I am forced to level up my player level and it seems I will never get back to being pitted against players my own level. Or perhaps I am wrong. I lose slightly more than I win now so although my player level increases, my PvP score stays the same. So maybe I just have to slog through 10 more player levels with a 50/50 win loss record to finally get matched against players my own level? If matchmaking is explained in the app I have missed it. Having said that, the game is great fun at first. More strategies open up as you gain levels and get access to more powerful units. It’s definately pay to win, but not to an extreme. Edit: Boy, was I wrong. The League resets each month. There is also a little “i” button to click to get more info about the league. I also got some units with a range of 2, which helps level the playing field. All is well!
Excellent RTS on Mobile
by Jobbart on 2019/02/15 23:48
I am a long time RTS fan on PC and when I saw that C&C was getting a mobile game I, like many, scoffed at the idea. After play a few hundred games I am excited to say I was very wrong. It delivers a compressed version of traditional RTS 1v1s that take no longer than 5 minutes. I get in a few games a day and it really scratches that RTS itch that my schedule doesn’t allow me fulfill with longer format PC games. I also must add, I truly do not believe the game is pay to win outside of maybe Tiberium league. The reviews that claim it is are by people who are uncomfortable with the idea of losing as a necessity for skill growth. If you are familiar with real time strategy games and understand the concepts of economy, harassment, builds, and learn unit counters you will not need to spend a dime on the game. I have put no money into it and with practice I have no problem reaching diamond league with both factions.
Fun multiplayer game!
by Neogunhero yeeeee on 2019/05/07 14:14
This is one of those classic examples of “if they would just drop the franchise name it would make a lot more sense”. For fans of Command & Conquer on PC, this is NOTHING like those games. However, it is still pretty good and very fun! It’s a 1v1 hexagonal PVP game where you deploy units to fight each other, and launch a bomb that destroys the enemy base in two hits. The gameplay and premise is simple, yet at higher competitive ranks, a good deal of strategy and tactics are required to outsmart the enemy and destroy them. I’ve been searching for a multiplayer game on mobile that is great to just pick up and play and this game is almost perfect for that. It’s easy to learn, hard to master. Matches don’t last longer than 5 minutes, so you can play a quick match while on the toilet or sitting in a boring lecture at school. I recommend it if you like PVP strategy games!
Unbalanced and hackers
by Huuuhe loose casino on 2018/12/17 05:01
This game has so many bad parts that out weigh the good ones. Hackers are already taken control in this pay to win game but the worst part is the movement of units. If a unit spawns from my base and I click a spot on the missile silo and that spot gets taken it stops. Then You select another spot but now it moves another unit and not that one so your units look like an ant hill on fire. The tug of war on the missile is not fair since you can control the missile up to almost launching but then the enemy moves a fee units on to the pad and they now have it and “launch”. It should be full control for a time period not this rob you blind method. So now hackers that have basic infantry units crush tanks and turrets like no other or they spawn expensive units with no harvester. Its a really small display so you can barely see units stacked on each other and it runs smooth but drains your battery big time. Until somethings are fixed like NoD is so OP to GDI its lame and control of the missile silo more time on then jack move ( King of the Hill or Control) I will then comeback .
Fun, for awhile.

I’ve been playing C&C games since they first came out nearly thirty years ago. I especially used to love the gameplay against computer players. I was skeptical when I saw the gameplay in rivals is PvP. The game was fun for awhile, but it becomes evident early on that pay for play is necessary. I generally don’t mind spending a little money in support of the developers, but the purchases are set up in tiers; in other words, purchase prices double as you gain more levels. The first tier is $4.99, the second is closer to $10, and presumably the next tier is $20. I refuse to keep paying to play a game advertised as free. While it IS technically free, unless you spend money you’ll be fodder for those who do. You’ll be allowed to win a game or two out of every ten or fifteen you play, but it becomes VERY obvious you’ll be padding the win record of paying players. As much as I love the game, losing to players with less experience and more money will inevitably get this game deleted.
Read the reviews, they don’t lie
by Jwmaster420 on 2019/11/26 20:53
Straight-up, I thot I was the only one being pitted against players Wayy above me 0ver & 0ver again... Until I read these. It makes sense now, they want u to pay to advance your rank- TREMENDOUSLY FRUSTRATING that the ONLY only outcomes are to be GROSSLY ANHIALLATED OR surrender (9/10 of these challenge matches, your opponent is 2-3 levels above you & their weakest units absolutely decimate your strongest units with 2 or 3 shots, not to mention producing units 4x faster.) There’s ZER0 point in playing after doing so for a couple weex (which were fun) cuz unless you plan on giving up a credit card # & spending GOOD $ on this BS game, you’ll be matched against players literally 5x stronger than you. I’ve already sent a couple emails to the support team but, of course, heard nothing back. They’re also allowing players to hack the game, thus creating an invincible army & taking away ANY & ALL medals that you MAY have earned in the 1st week or two. I don’t think anyone will fully appreciate the one-sidedness of the game until actually playing it, but just take my & the other ‘reviewers’ word for it- NOT WORTH IT
Such great potential. Such a letdown.
by joeandbeck on 2018/12/12 20:41
The redesign is fantastic. The leveling up of units is a nice touch to improve from the old pc versions. The problem here is , unlike the old versions, you must move forward each mission. Instead of being able to replay the early levels many times to become familiar with units and develop strategy, you are immediately thrown into higher level missions where you will encounter players who have been using this app longer and learned more about it than you. So the first 30 minutes I used my familiarity with the CNC game concepts to win matches. Then I didn’t win again for an hour. Each new game I met a competitor with troop leveled 3 or 4 tines above my own. So simply, I lose every troop encounter. The game is useless from that point unless I spend a ton of money to level my own troops. This, I’m afraid is the real and only reason for this game. The CNC franchise was something that gained loyal followers and spawned epic nights of fun in college. Now it’s a bunch of app designers looking to cash in. Sad and pathetic.
Fun, challenging, balanced, and a little laggy
by Christopher Richez on 2019/02/02 22:02
This is a great mobile game. To clarify: you CAN pay to level-up units. This is literally pay-to-win. However you will always be matched with people with similar unit levels, so those people you won’t see much. If they throw you up against someone that paid bank and is out-leveling you, they make it a “challenge battle” so it doesn’t count as a loss. And tbh I’ve won like 75% of those too. I haven’t spent a penny and have a 90% win rate. The game is really good at not being too in-your-face about micro transactions (which is weird for EA). The only pop-up is on the launch screen. I’ve just experienced a lot of lag and sometimes disconnections. Not just me, sometimes my opponent. I play on 5GHz WiFi, and even with a gigabit connection at work it still isn’t consistent. Usually not a dealbreaker but sometimes you miss something that could save you a missile launch.
Great game; could be better
by Mandin101 on 2019/06/30 21:04
This is one of my favorite mobile games at the moment. The strategy is fun and the characters are great. Yes, the game has a pay to win aspect to it, but it’s not as bad as most of the mobile games today. The general feel of the game is amazing, and I’m having a blast playing it. However there are a few things that I think would make it better. An amazing feature would be some sort of guild war. You could have a giant map and with six players. Three vs three. In addition, character skins would add a fun artistic bonus to the game. Also, adding a “make your own map” feature would give players the freedom to choose how there map looks and feels to play. In conclusion, this game is already so fun to play, but in my opinion, adding these features would make the game feel so much more enjoyable.
It sure what it is...
by senormarcos on 2019/08/07 17:55
The game is awesome, awesome graphics, awesome gameplay, and awesome rewards. The first game I played where I really feel rewarded just for playing, let alone winning matches. HOWEVER, I do have one complaint and the reason I went with 4 out of 5 stars: I don’t think the matches are played in “real-time”. I think I’m always playing against A.I. using a random player’s profile (deck). Also, I hated that at the last minute it seemed someone within only a few hours left in a race, beat me by about 300 medals (after having to climb over 600 medals from second place; W.T.F.)...I’m still scratching my head on that one. Either this player played this game non-stop and bought all kinds of in-app purchases to boost his stats, or the developers of the game decided I shouldn’t deserve to get the first place prize. But, in the end it’s a solid game and I’m enjoying the hell out of it at the moment.
Lots of fun, Definitely not pay to win
by MamaDruchii on 2020/01/02 04:07
Although it’s hard to get to the highest tiers of the competition without grinding for unit levels, there are plenty of events that serve as level equalizers that cap unit strength to your highest. The game is all about unit counters, so your levels are not necessarily the end all be all so long as you’ve got good micro and deck construction. If the matchmaker since you’re up against an opponent who is hired of the units, it is considered a challenge match and you do not actually lose anything at all, but get double the points if you win. Fantastic balance. They managed to fit a good real time strategy on mobile, and I think it’s definitely worth a try for anyone interested in a strategy game. Contains two factions that both have some interesting twists. Your deck is limited to 6 units, so good preplanning is required. A+
Great job, Great game
by AwsomeChad on 2018/12/06 02:34
I must say, I love command and conquer games and this is nothing like any of them, but that’s a good thing! To try and do all the things that you would normally do in a real C@C game would well, just be to much for the player on a phone or tablet. I think simplifying things a bit was a great concept for the developers. And I love how they kept the Rock/paper/scissor mechanic and kept harvesting a crucial part of the game, but also adding new mechanics like the nuke pads and it adds a new and fresh take on map control and positioning your troops. There’s just so much to say about this game! Yes some unit comps are a little OP and needs to be fine tuned a bit, but is a new game so I hope the team behind the scenes makes the right choices, they certainly have so far! Keep up the good work and I’ll see you on the battlefield! Good luck!! 🤯
Changes

I can’t give any higher than 3 stars. I love this game, I’m good enough to be in high masters with level 8s. But skill only goes so far in this game. Pay to win is the games main thing. Unless someone is complete garbage with higher levels than you you’ll always lose to the people who have spent more money than you. Which I hate in a game. Cosmetics, unit effects, emotes, so on so on. Should be the money maker. But no, EA just couldn’t help but put in a mechanic. Where every level makes a unit more effective, and levels can be bought with real money spent on in game resources. So people who are less skillful then me constantly win against me because they win every 1v1 because their unit is leveled up more than mine. As someone who has played this game for 9 months, I love it to death. But with the razor back and shade becoming super stupidly overpowered, people just buy resources and level them up and never lose against free to play players.
C&C lame excuse for a game.
by CavScout(19D) on 2018/12/25 18:22
Sadly the “ strategy” is to just rush your opponent and block them off so they can’t move. After about 200 games I have won about 75-80 games. GDI gets bullets that hurts everything and NOD gets fire that hurts troops and buildings. Still with that said with GDI I have lost about 500xp; meaning I have won the same empty crate 2 or 3 times. The issues started around level 7 for me. Enemies can be 4 levels above you. There is no logical matchmaking. Also get use to enemies to having Elite units you may not get for 5-10 more levels (Ya thinking of you Orca!) Also the joy of having one harvester and the enemy has two- which in a few games I didn’t even have a 2nd one as an option. Oh the reviewer that said “It’s just exactly like PC C&C games.”; Really should actually play the PC C&C games. If you want to win...... get your wallet ready! This game is 20% fun and 80% frustrating and maddening.
definitely fun and addicting but diehard c&c fans won’t be pleased
by 4dventurist on 2019/02/04 23:27
it’s hard to rate this game... purely taking the game by itself and rating how fun it is I’d give it a 5. It’s probably the most fun I’ve had on the iPad with RTS and can easily play 10 games in a row, having a blast each time. Games are quick and it’s easy to learn each unit. There are many different strategies you can try also which makes it more interesting. that being said this is definitely not Command and Conquer. All the wonderful single player missions are not there. There is no huge battlefield. There is also no balance between players. This last one really irritates me. I can accept people choosing to bring different units into battle, but having to play someone with units 2 levels higher is not right. So with it’s flaws it is a fun game, but don’t expect to get mobile Command and Conquer.
Could be much better
by 123@456+789 on 2019/11/22 00:55
This game could be so much more fun if there was an algorithm that allowed for fair play. As it stands, you tend to either play people that are so far below your level that it’s boring to win or you play people that are so far ahead of you that they have units you’ve never even seen before. One commander has an attack that kills everything in a four tile square which is SO OVERPOWERED compared to any other commander’s special ability. You can join a clan which helps some because you can talk and get strategies and even request cards. Problem is you can’t request cards you don’t already have and I’ve played for three months or so and all I ever get are the same crap cards I basically started with. It’s random but it shouldn’t be completely random. You should get rewarded automatically at certain levels with the cards you’ll need to succeed. That’s way it would truly be about strategy and not just who was luckier with their card rewards.
Used to be fun
by GameJunkie2015 on 2019/08/20 08:59
I’ve been playing now for about 2 months or so, started off being pretty decent but challenging. Now days if you’re playing as GDI your going to lose at least half the battle more then likely 2/3 or more when you get to the diamond league. I’ve tried many strategies and mixed up unit selections and it’s very difficult now to win as GDI. I’m having trouble periodically with the game correctly responding to my touch at times now also. You have a much better chance winning as the NOD faction which is unfair if you’re like me and try to play both. Units need adjustment to make the two factions similar in strength.. I’ve noticed a big change since the most recent update. I like the game a lot but it’s become aggravating to play when you’re level 9 with lvl 8-9 units and you’re fight lvl 10-11 opponents.. also when I lose they take 20 points.. when I manage to pull off a win I get 15-19 points.. seems to be pushing more toward payed players if you ask my opinion.
Awful troop control
by JoMamaLee on 2018/12/06 18:14
The game play is absolutely awful, because of how the game is setup your troops will never actually go to where you send them to because they can’t go through certain things so instead of immediately going to where you tell them to, they have to take the longest route possible or they just stop and don’t go anywhere at all, either way it’ll usually end up making you lose the game. And it doesn’t matter what troops your opponent has because as long as they have troops on all three spots of an objective, you’re guaranteed to lose because you can’t contest the point. Overall there isn’t really any gameplay to begin with though since there is no campaign and the games are incredibly short. So it’s just the same 5 minute game over and over and over. The game is very repetitive and just gets boring very fast. Maybe after some updates to improve the game and adding more stuff to it, I’ll come back, but for now I’m gonna pass on the game.
I loved it. Read this for honest review.
by SulliEzz on 2019/07/30 18:22
I’ve always been a BIG fan of C&C. Ever since Red Alert 2. This game is just what you need if you love a good RTS game. there is so many reviews of people saying its “pay-2-win”, this is not the case. I have played against people with stronger and better units than me and i still am able to win against them. If you are a competitive player and love the challenge of being put against others its a great way to see what you can do. Yes the game is free. So you can pay for different units and higher levels if you like. But all that means nothing if you don't know what you’re doing. Remember people have been playing games like this for decades. There is no campaign to this game. It is all player vs player. I am really hoping they will bring it in the future.
Has a lot of potential
by Mobilegamessuck on 2020/01/18 04:09
Pros: Game is fast paced, solid, and unforgiving to those who can't react on time.
ATTENTION LAWYERS: Fun at first, but demands you pay
by Findbgs on 2019/08/31 00:19
ATTENTION ATTORNEYS: This would be a great class action suit for fraud. Unethical for sure: The algorithms clearly change depending on how long you play the game. The first few games are always easy, but if you play for awhile then it changes to where are only pitted against players that always have superior units, armies and levels. It’s designed to sucker you out of your cash. I hope apple gets sued for prompting this as an editors choice game. I’m sure, that they are raking in the cash. Edit: This game is potentially unethical. I’m at level 37, and 90% of the games I play are “challenge battles”. Those are games where you can’t lose points, but you’re up against a clearly superior player (by level and units). For example, my level 37 units are playing against units that aren’t even available until level 57 or 59. Clearly those players (who likely paid a wad o cash) are playing against vastly inferior players. It’s clearly programmed to milk your cash. I’m sure some have dumped hundreds into it. I hope someone files a class action against EA. Original review: Had a lot of fun with this game, and even spent $10. I think that is about what it is worth. But, it keeps trying to get you to spend more by consistently matching you with superior players. I understand the devs need to put food on their table, but it appears that they’ve gotten too greedy. Save yourself the frustration, and go elsewhere.
Fantastic game
by Gamegeek33 on 2019/07/02 12:18
I absolutely cannot put this game down. Every time I pick up my phone, I’m opening a crate or doing a match or two, and I love it. The unit choices are diverse enough that you can have a strategy unique to you, and there is a counter to everything. On a side note, I am in platinum league, and 8 of every 10 battles are chalenge battles, because my opponents units are “too high level” or they are “highly ranked” or they have “unknown units.” It’s nice not to loose medals from challenge battles, but it gets a bit frustrating fighting against people you know are better than you. I believe this is a result of a low amount of players online at a given time, but the matchmaking can be incredibly fast. Perhaps a longer wait time would allow for more balanced games?
Decent but annoying content stalling
by Alex55678 on 2018/12/08 05:22
The gameplay is very fun, but the way that many units and the entire Nod faction is locked being an artificial experience wall is weird. In a game that is encouraging me to make micro transactions to level units, it is super frustrating that 90% of the units aren’t yet accessible, so any of these loot boxes I buy are only being applied to the introductory units. You can play as much as you want but it takes 20,000 xp to level up (and access new content), and a win gives 50 Xp... so you can only level up from the bonus xp granted daily and not from playing the game. In other words you can play as much as you want but the later units are just not going to be accessible for a set amount of time, so you keep having to cough up money for loot boxes. I mean might as well charge a weekly subscription fee, let me use all the units, and it would feel less dirty.
Awesome
by BüDōPéY on 2019/02/11 21:26
I love this game! Awesome App version of the original title! Yes, it is not the exact same and could have more features, but it is also a mobile app version of the game. You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars to play and have fun. You do not have to worry about being wiped out when away and there is always room for improvement on battle strategy. I hope to see more features soon though because it is only 1v1 which makes an Alliance sorta pointless. I hope to see more features soon such as 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 matches. If that isn’t added soon, the game may get boring... just my opinion! Other players have been playing and are still playing with only 1v1 matches, so that should say how fun the game can be for other fans of this title.
Why can't I just pay one price for the entire game?
by -⭐️bHoly⭐️- on 2019/04/29 08:12
I love the Command & Conquer series. I have played every installment from the Red Alert series to everything under the Tiberian Sun series. I played them for countless hours on my computer. We paid retail price for the entire game, and you got everything unlocked by earring it in the game not purchasing it. Look I'm not against the IAP's if that's your cup of tea we'll cheers mate, but I've waited so long for a new Command & Conquer game, and the game looks great I'm sure it's fun to play if you don't mind IAP's but why can't there be both methods to accommodate the ones like me who have paid for games on the same business model since Atari, Intelivison, Commodore64, Nintendo, Sega...ect ect. Why can't games of this anticipation, caliber, and demand be given to the consumer with both the standard & IAP business models? And I love mobile gaming and play console quality games on my phone and paid good money to enjoy those games with no IAP's
Nice and even game play

Thank you guys for taking care of this games history . This game is a lot of fun and i have enjoyed playing it for a long while now sure there’s a limit to how much stuff you can earn in a day , but this game isn’t meant for grinding on all day ( it’s free to play for a reason ) , the gameplay is very smooth just wish there were more cards to unlock . I have not spent a penny on this game and i already have 5 epic rarity cards in less than a week :) . Thanks for not being another pay to win version of command and conquer i loved the old pc game and am greatly enjoying this one . Just a side note i already have a 75% win rate and would love to be part of an esports league for this game . Thank you again for not being pay to win :) !!!
MAJOR PAY 2 PLAY HOPE YOURE RICH
by Joe_macy on 2019/10/01 20:14
Sure the beginning of the game is fun and you’ll win a lot. I was fooled because I’m like wow this game is awesome I’ll keep playing. Not even a day in and it’s become impossible to win anything. I went from winning 10 in a row to losing every game after that. I literally get rolled over like nothing. I lose within the first 30 seconds of every match. All of these people you play against spent a lot of money because they have units that you can’t unlock within the level bracket that you play in. It’s ridiculous and I’m beyond heated I’m deleting this game because it’s trash. Should have known EA is money hungry with any game they put out let it be mobile or console games. Ridiculous. The graphics are decent and the concept is fun. The game interface is put together well but actually playing is a nightmare and a headache. Try not to have a heart attack from anger like me. Do yourself a favor and avoid it.
C&C Rivals is Fun and Challenging try to log in at least every 12 hours and better yet every 8
by DrDQ on 2019/01/24 10:07
Great addition to the C&C universe... I love all their games. I really wish they would complete the much awaited “C&C Generals 2”. I bought 5 copies of the ultimate collection just to get the early access to C&C Generals 2... as for gameplay I think this game still has balance issues... I get really frustrated when most of my matches I am totally being wiped by players 10 to 15 levels and more above me. Other than that I love to play... I really wish you could play against same level players or even a CPU. Be careful some players steal your resources first thing and you can never recover, or have such high level units you have no chance. Some battles are so unevenly matched and have such bad lag you almost want to rage quit or throw your device through a window. Just remember it is only a game, you can bless others by letting them win, get in your 10 battles a day, and I am sure the game will only get better.
Deeply flawed game
by d.pwner on 2018/12/21 13:43
it’s rigged progression folks your skill is irrelevant. you will be paired against much higher level players and lose ( it’s imposible to best troops with twice your health and firepower that cost the same as yours) then you will be paired against a lower level than you so it’s an Insta win. Since you gain more xp per win than you lose you are guaranteed a slow and painful progression but your gaming experience will be one of imposible to win fights and impossible to lose ones very unrewarding. Other negatives are 1. Crate system is absurd 2. Xp and gold gained from battles is caped so 100% pay to win 3. Pathing is pathetic units go in an arch around enemy units taking fire like morons so you have to micromanage each and every unit (Painful in a phone maybe playable game on a large tablet or pc) but why not make the units a bit more intelligent? Holding on tiles is the end all of the game so rush and hold... unless the other guy is two Levels up from you and his units simply won’t die lol again unrewarding rigged game
Matchmaking encourages pay to win scheme
by eric_chacon on 2018/12/09 02:27
I’m constantly being match against people with the same units but their units are 2 or 3 levels above mine which means my units will always lose 1v1 early game even if I get the first shot or two off. If matchmaking was more balanced I would give a better review. The game is fun, but it’s not a strategy game. Your recruitment gets slowed the more units you have in a match so your early game lead rarely turns into a steamroll. It limits your unit compilation by forcing you to choose 7 from a choice of like 25. Some units are really obsolete like riflemen, three rifle men will lose to one flame or shatter troop which I don’t like, attack bike are way better than pitbulls. And I feel Nods unit variation and design is more thought out and creative than GDI’s but I think this has always been the case in CBC games. But it’s fun and a very good step in mobile rts where a market exists. I’m still waiting for advanced wars on mobile though.
Was fun till you get on a win streak
by S3xyahrimid3814 on 2018/12/28 11:35
This game is so much fun love the content. It makes you constantly think and I love that however when you win to many games it takes a dark turn and matches you with people levels above u in commander or troops or even both sometimes and those games are down right impossible to win you need to find 2v1s all the time and will barely win those and if you calculate that they will win by mid game due to just having a higher cristal income and thus more troops and with it the W. The game itself is 5 stars the way they chose to take it and make it micro transactions based to get cards to win the game turned this into another thing to add to the list of games this company has destroyed with their money making greed. #boycottEA(it’s about time this company is kicked out of the games making industry after battlefront 2 and many others this just keeps on getting worse. I just hope anthem doesn’t go down with EA syndrome as well)
Yet another game no one asked for
by VG Sweetie on 2018/12/09 15:27
Why do game companies keep doing this? Why do they feel the need to fix what isn’t broken and make this crap? Mobile gaming has its place and mobile gaming has its titles made for mobile gaming (temple run, candy crush, etc) BUT C&C HAS NO BUSINESS ON MOBILE!!!! Who ever makes the decisions for these companies needs a reality check or maybe needs to look for another career in a different industry. I’m tired of companies ruining games I love. First you scrap an exciting game like C&C Generals 2 that everyone would have much preferred over this garbage, to get this, MAKE THIS GARBAGE. EA, you should feel ashamed for causing the type of damage you do on the gaming community and industry. You have 0 respect or intelligence to identify what gamers want and make titles based off that. You look at the money first and that is why everyone wants you gone. Keep this up and one day you won’t have an ability to make games because we will all destroy you and watch your company burn. #DOWNWITHEA
Frustrating and broken, extremely pay2win
by skytheguy17 on 2019/10/18 02:11
This game does a tremendous job of introducing you to it. Makes you think its fun and everything. Until you reach higher levels of play/higher ranks. You usually get here by playing “too well for your own good” and you’re stuck fighting players with much higher level units. You cant go back down because you don’t lose medals, and you can’t go up because theres a huge wall that prevents you from progressing. That is unless the developer succeeds in their attempt at extorting you for money from their half baked take at making a mockery of the C&C franchise. Then you can finally progress and not be at a CONSTANT DISADVANTAGE every match. The game also suffers from a really small meta, which also includes horrible balancing. Most units aren’t viable in a lot of decks unless you have some sort of mastery of how to use them. You’re mostly limited to the standard cookie cutter decks that pretty much kills any sort of diverse gameplay. I’m not gonna lie. At first the game was an absolute blast and chances are you will like it too, just remember to tank your medals before diamond league in order to avoid being trapped and having any enjoyment sucked out of your experience like it did for me. The developers deserve to be canned for this, but its EA, and knowing its a C&C game they might just shut down redwood studios like they did to those who came before them

Cash grab

Fun, for awhile.
by nurseypaola on 2019/01/03 02:05
I’ve been playing C&C games since they first came out nearly thirty years ago.
