The interface is well designed, and it is great to play against players from around the world. But in the Texas Hold Em game, the starting hands, flops, turns, and rivers seem to be predetermined. I have not way to prove it, but it is my impression. Compared to live in-person gameplay, there seem to be many more flushes and straights than you would otherwise see. It is fun app, but I’d like to learn a bit more about the real “randomness” of the deals.

I went from one table to another and my chips just disappeared. At the next table it auto downloaded the remaining chips I had I chose not to play because of my missing chips. Later on that same day I went back in and those chips were missing. Contacted support ,no answer tried to contact several times more and every time it said could not connect with server. Don’t waste your time.

Lost 70 million in a couple hrs playing 2.5 million tournaments. No lie almost 20 in a row on river cards and against 90% starter or novice players. That’s when I noticed this is more then just bad beats . Complete buy more chips money scam. Fun to kill time but ull see what I’m talking about. Disappointed PokerStars! U might b hooking ppl now but eventually more and more ppl will notice then nobody will b playing. Bots vs bots? Hmmmm.....

The bad luck after you pay real money is in real... will pay ..99 or 4.99 on micro here and there and lose it within the week because I cannot call on ridiculous hands, when I do, there’s no luck. It seems I can’t get anything over a 9 in what seems like 10 hands, while everyone is raising their hands. The river generator is ridiculous, I’ve lost flops because of rivers I shouldn’t have lost, so for a new player, do not fold until you hit river!! The computer is hard sole, needs more generation but I continue to play because I love poker

The developer needs to work on the shuffle of the cards(random number generator). The deal of the cards has the common problem of not taking into account true odds when dealing. So you start seeing 4 of a kind come off several times a day instead of once a week when you play. I have seen this on many sites but. It on PokerStars in the past when I played for real money.

By far the best poker game on the phone as far as user friendliness, graphics, and playability but........it is missing tournament style play which would merit a better rating along with fixing the fact that if you get booted due to connection or other reasons, you cannot re-enter your table.

Completely rigged. I’ve seen it from both sides. Making straight flushes against ace high flush. Then on the flip side I can’t win a hand when going to the river 90+ favorite. I go all in with kings or aces and king queen off calls and makes trips or a runner runner flush in a twenty tournament span. Play with caution but don’t buy chips. Save your money!

Each tier of buy in has a higher jackpot spin in which you could play for a large amount of chips. Unfortunately that’s never the case. Example: just bought in for 500k, and played for 750k! That’s robbery! At the very least you should be playing for the buy ins, of the players! In this current situation, if you lose one game, you have to win the next two tournaments to break even! That’s BS! This is how they get you to make a purchase if you want to continue playing, smart! I’ll continue to play until my free chips runs out, but if I’m paying to play, I’m gonna play live cash games instead of paying to play for free.

I think you should add this feature where you can show your cards if you are the last person folding to let people enjoy the game and make great folds or bluffs or show you cards when everyone folds to your bet, its a very nice feature to add to the game.

Just downloaded this game. Literally every single winning hand - (i.e. three of a kind on flop, straights, flushes, even a full house) - gets called by someone who needs runner runner - and they win. EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! I started recording my play - ten hands in a row this happened to me and it’s statistically improbable to have that happen unless cards are being manipulated. Good luck in getting me to play real money version. I’ll stick to bet online.

I used to love playing this whenever I had free time. On my birthday, a day I took off from work to relax, I wanted to get my poker fix, since I de-stress by playing and it is my hobby. Well, that entire day, pokerstars was down for maintenance. Okay, oh well, it happens. Since their full day of maintenance, you would expect no bugs afterwards, right? Wrong. So many times, I have played high stakes tourneys, just to have the screen freeze right after buying in. Beyond frustrating. Especially because I purchased chips prior to these bugs FREQUENTLY. It was excited being promoted in the leagues every week. Addicting. Well, after all of the disappointment, it didn’t make sense to keep purchasing chips. So I earned them for free watching ads, spinning the wheel, etc. only to find that after doing so, the freezing is still occurring. Did I mention this is beyond frustrating? I’ve reached out to customer service sending time stamped screenshots. They ask what operating software & phone I use. That would be IPhone X that updates the iOS and my apps AUTOMATICALLY. So the blame is not on me. My WiFi Is always dependable and all of my other apps work perfect so yeah, again, blame is not on me. I am a business owner and I can tell you, this is customer service at its worst. I will be happy to change my review for an app that was once my favorite, if the a situation is properly resolved. Until then, it’s one lonely star for pokerstars unless they decide to actually do what is fair. Until then, I am even going to throw in the famous, “I’d give it no stars if I could”

Thanks for the polite response, unlike the last one that I got. My frustration keeps growing. I try to unwind after work and play this app and the freezes, And constantly having to leave just to reopen the app and lose chips drives me crazy. I’m trying not to give up on this app but the more I play it lately, the more my frustration grows. I have numerous screenshots of this happening as well as emails with no attempts to at least attempt to reimburse.

Every spin in the winner take all is either 2-2.5x buy in. Nothing more after a week of playing And that’s if it loads. On different WiFi, off WiFi, reinstalled, etc. trash now. It’ll just sit in the lobby of the game until I close and open the app. By the time it does load I have 0 chips left and I’m done. Fun

No longer works on my ipad. This is a company that should be investigated. Regularly eats your winnings. Do not put real money into this! It is easy to play for free.
All “spin the wheels” result in the lowest possible win. So obviously not random. And if these algorithms are “fixed”, then what algorithms aren’t “fixed”? I would suspect all algorithms are “fixed” towards you spending more money.

I have been working my way up through the ranks. I have found that you did get discernible difference in quality of players - generally speaking, as you play up against more established or experienced players. (I mention this because you often have to wonder if you aren’t just playing “Bots”.
I have had several .. minor-ish problems:
Once, I and another player “FoxyXYZ?” (I’m TC1228).. somehow “shared” profiles for a while - and HE benefitted from my playing because once I saw that the userID wasn’t mine - I figured out how to log into my proper profile. PROBLEM? - I lost the chips I had accumulated (just north of 1 MM, at that time.)
Another problem: I have seen other users have actual pictures of themselves in their profile image. I wrote asking how I could do the same. I was instructed to log in using FaceBook. I don’t use FaceBook! But that should not be an obstacle, in my view.
(When I had originally written about this matter - I even anticipated some “gotcha” so I had attached my jpg picture to my e-mail (if I remember correctly - and had asked the help-desk people to attach it...)
Finally, I minor-ish short-coming of the program - I have seen that Russian regularly are able to be quite a range of bets at all assorted levels of gaming. I, on the other hand, am restricted to rather large “lumpy” bets.. that is ONLY in big-blind increments. I REALLY feel that it is a legitimate “need” to be able to tweak your bets, sometimes - so as to influence play. I can’t do this because... I have to bet in “lumpy”... finite bet-increments.
Oh - one other matter - I play on my tablet. I find that typing even very short messages to other players is VERY cumbersome.. (I have to: click on my icon, click on the keyboard, THEN try to quickly type a message.
Can - might - the developers make it so that composing messages is easier? ... OR.. how about allowing us to customize some canned messages WE can choose from? Our OWN messages... (you provide us some, already - but.. e.g., let me select, “You are SUCH a calling station!” Or... “That was MY play!”... you get the idea...

I’ve been playing for some time. The deals are terrible. Too many times you get beat where you are 95% to win. Flush beat with a full house at least 30-40% of the time. Seems like they encourage donkeys to always go all in because it is “exciting”. Makes the game more like roulette than anything like poker. There is no way this is random. Tested or not, it is crap. Absolutely rigged. Miracle rivers almost every match. Do not waste your time with this! Deleting this bullish!t app. Glad I never spent a dime buying chips.

This game makes it sound as if you can easily buy in and win real money. That is anything but true. They force you to buy in before you even get a chance to make an account, then they make creating an account very hard. And forget about withdrawing, that’s basically impossible. This is just another poker app that uses “free chip” bs To entice people into their scam. Disgusted with my experience and feel like a fool.

There seems to be some bugs in the game that assume I am not playing so they skip my hand and force me to fold. There is a button that I click that says “I’m ready” to come back and play and sometimes I will click it and it does not register and forces me to fold over and over again. It does this until I lose all of my chips on the blinds and I am forced to quit the game. It would be a fun game if this did not happen.

I have asked for ban, account delete. What ever I can do. I just tilted my 2 billion chips.
Went from a 42 % win rate to a 31 % win rate. The only time I can win is when I spend 100.00.
Game bugs have cost me more than that.

This isn’t real Poker. It’s completely rigged. I had a 40% tournament win rate when I was beginner/novice rank. But now that I’m in ‘skilled,’ I’ve lost about 20 tournaments in a row with maybe ONE win in between for only a 1.5x gain and my win rate has dropped to 37%. I am not exaggerating. Ever since my rank has been in ‘skilled’ tier, almost every single hand that I raise, the other two players call me with absolutely nothing and then one of them hits the nuts on the river. After you begin requiring a large amount of winnings to advance to the next tier, the game tries very VERY hard to clean you because it knows you’re likely to spend. It’s merely a cash grab, nothing more. It’s also full of glitches such as having your cards dealt to your face down, or being unable to raise. Big waste of time.

Was working my way my all the way to the top to be a Poker Star, level 236 I had $334,042,154 in chips. Then I get a message that I have logged unto another device wouldn't let me play any longer
Tried emailing PokerStars Play I didn't get a response gave them my ID number what I ended up with was some new ID# no response $110,000. Don't waste your time, money or time n this game. I did and regret ever even downloading it to my phone. Still waiting for a response to my email.

So I played this now for about eight months and I like it quite a bit as a lot of variety of the games as well as people who actually want to play the game correctly although when I’ve made purchases I am curious to know what the gold collecting really Benifits.. I get really frustrated with the game when the hands dealt are not statistically real. Once you get used to the anomalies of dealing, you can have fun trying to outwit the other players, which is the true poker test.

Played for a year. I have noticed what must be random patterns according to all these poker apps including yep this one and read reviews of others that say same thing. Get a lot of beginners luck. See a lot of miracles on the river. See a lot of spin & go where you check all the way through with 6,7 unsuited and the winner has 7,8. Seen a lot of trips on the flop, get a full house and someone always has four of a kind. See a lot of bad luck after you buy chips. Seen a lot of bad beats including losing to three full houses in one session. Seen a lot of top pair hole cards where everyone folds before you can make a bet. Have been on both sides of all these but mostly the wrong side. Rigged or not and I notice that the developer does not say they have been certified by some independent fair play organization - which WSOP say they have and post every time someone writes a review like this one. In the end, if you want to spend money being entertained, then go for it. I went on a bad losing streak and deleted the app after I lost on a straight to a flush on the river. I am going to go back to playing with real cards shuffled by real people.

Unbelievable hands show up. Flushes are like pairs. If you get 3 of the same suit on the flop 90% of the time the winning hand is a flush. I you think you have something decent to play, forget it. The game will deal unrealistic cards consistently that will guarantee you a loss. I could go on and on. It used to be fun but not anymore.

I love this game but when I am waiting for my turn, it skips me and folds my hand automatically without my input from me... for example, it lags on the player before me(visually) and wham my hand is folded. Sad..

As fate as ease of use and speed of game play, I have no complaints. The issue I have is that all tables are 3 handed & play chips encourage players to bet with absolutely no concept of range. I broke out of a tournament when a player went all in first hand with jack/2 off suit while I was holding AQ suited. When would this ever happen at a real poker table? This sort of thing makes this app unhelpful at best. If you want to practice your poker skills, don’t play here. Sorry to the developers.

Just as good as my Poker Stars desktop version on Mac. No bugs so far. The ads are all optional too. You only need to watch ads if you're losing and need chips which is good for me since I'm an okay player at best 👍🏼

It’s COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE to sharpen your game with this rigged app. First off, their claim that the card generator is definitionally incorrect. There is absolutely nothing random about computers. Computers only do what they are told to do or programmed to do. And with this app, it’s completely ridiculous. I’m assuming that they program it to create “exciting” hands. About 75 percent of hands are decided on the river. There are an insanely disproportionate number of hands that contain flush over flush, set over set, etc. if you flop top pair, you can bet your life that the other two cards match someone’s hole cards. It seems that I am on the losing end of these rigged hands most of the time but I also have won several hands in the same ridiculous fashion. There’s just no possible way that all of these crazy wild hands that are decided on the river are random. Also DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY BONUS CHIPS FROM THIS APP. I did this on three occasions and after each time, I lost EVERY SINGLE TOURNANENT I entered until the chips were gone (lost 17 straight tournaments one time). Do not waste your time!

This is a really fun app that is mildly interactive. The glitches thoroughly got to me and I was done! Totally going to delete it. Alas, I kept returning to it and learned to wait out the glitches and know it’s just an app. Unbelievable hands come through on the river but I’d say the app is non-personal and anyone could be the lucky one. More often, it’s just plain fun even with imperfections OMG. In good conscience, I had to update my former review. Enjoy, it’s just a game. :)

Tournaments jackpots are not RNG. See how many times a 3 person tournament has a pool of less than 3x the people participating (hint: not random).
See how many you lose to a “bad beat” I.e. a set up hand. You get a killer hand only to be beat by a much worse one. And in heads up play no less. It’s one thing to argue quantities and expected values. But these things don’t happen that often in heads up play - the majority of heads up play is supposed to be boring!!

Read some of the reviews can’t believe anyone would complain, it’s free and it’s a lot of fun! A great way to burn time if you have time to burn, players get better hands then real poker but if you play right as if you was playing real poker and truly know how to play it all washes out the same.. it’s the only game I now have on my phone and the only one I want or need.. happy playing but if you come and play like you don’t have no since beware I’ll take your chips

The game is fun and it’s easy to use. The only reason I gave this a 3 star review is the profile system. It asked for my Facebook log in info or to create a guest account. I don’t like linking everything to my Facebook so I created the guest account. Played the game for a few weeks and then they closed the account. So I went into the settings and attempted to log in with Facebook. It didn’t work. Contacted customer support and they said I have to create another account. Why allow someone to create the guest account if you can’t use it long term/log in to facebook later? Not the worst thing in the world but it is annoying when you had 2 million chips saved up. I won’t be creating another account or playing this anymore. If you want to play this game, immediately create a profile using your Facebook info.
Update: Changed to 4 stars since the developer reached out to correct the mistake. To the developer: My guest account was Goodflush570. I wasn’t able to link this to my Facebook after it got closed so I never made an actual account. Since I’ve removed the app I imagine the account is no longer active. Hopefully you’re able to see what happen. I appreciate the reimbursement but I don’t think I’ll be getting the app again.

Glitches and patterns

Was skeptical of new software (old PokerStars player) but gave it a shot. Not bad for a play money app. I have come across a couple of glitches that aren’t frequent but aren’t rare either where the check button doesn’t come up forcing you to bet or neither the check nor the bet button comes up - annoying but not often enough to hate playing. What I got into though was the leagues portion of the game. Unfortunately, I’m noticing that it doesn’t log all my tournament wins. I won several the night before and I come back today to a 0 balance (and yes, this was after the old league stats ended and should have been counted on new league) very disappointing. Also, they really should eliminate the 1.5x tourney prize on these games - but that’s just my opinion. Also starting to notice patterns of repeated odds beating by certain players meaning time after time in the same tournaments they defy odds to win. Not just the occasional bad beat but runner runner over and over again (and runner runner runner runner too). I understand the “Unbelievable” as one of your three default options for chat.

A play money app should make all of its income from advertising(which there is plenty of on this one), right...unless people actually purchase chips(which seems highly unlikely [but not necessarily “unbelievable”])? My biggest complaint is that on the spin and go 3-person tournaments that the most frequent payout is only 1.5 times the buy-in, which is completely absurd. Not once have I played and it spun for the however many millions each one has as its highest denomination on the wheel, but regardless the least you should make back for winning is 3x your buy-in which doesn’t seem unreasonable considering the chip value is imaginary(and by winning more people would naturally play more)... maybe I’m wrong and people actually do purchase fake chips, if so then good on ya, if not it would make more sense to keep people on the app furthering your advertising exposure, no? Just one guy’s $.02.

This isn’t real Poker. It’s completely rigged. I had a 40% tournament win rate when I was beginner/novice rank. But now that I’m in ‘skilled,’ I’ve lost about 20 tournaments in a row with maybe ONE win in between for only a 1.5x gain and my win rate has dropped to 37%. I am not exaggerating. Ever since my rank has been in ‘skilled’ tier, almost every single hand that I raise, the other two players call me with absolutely nothing and then one of them hits the nuts on the river. I have been playing this game for about 2 months. I love the ease of use and the playability, however, if you go into this thinking it is a “fair game”, you are going to be very disappointed. I have played MULTIPLE tournaments at all levels and regardless of the situation I have seen hands such as 3 of a kind, full houses, straights and even straight flushes get beaten on the river by hands that should never have even been in the pot to begin with. It’s a crapshoot at best. People calling all in bets when all they have is a small pair, 3 to a flush, needing 2 cards t fill an inside straight and somehow winning against dominate hands, REGULARLY. I’ll you want to do is pass the time, enjoy, but if you want a realistic experience, pass on this one.

Wish that it was like the good old PokerStars days.. I miss real money play tourneys and satellites can't get the numbers in real life like online and micro buyins are my flavor because I'm not very wealthy,This app seems like it started having bad beats more since I actually purchased a bonus offer I had pop for chips , I didn't think I ever would but now I have expensive taste as far as my blond size and tournament buy in size but , I lost all of it after realizing it was against me I got a little tilted and started donating my chips in my rage.. now it kind of ruined the normal play for me with the free 15-45k they dish out, it's just dull to me now, but I don't have the desire to buy any chips that seems kind of dumb that I would have to begin with.

I don’t know how the “new” PokerStars apps are designed, but I can tell you this one is terrible. It looks okay. It’s addictive...but it’s garbage. I could go on all day about why. But I’m just going to say the community is toxic. They don’t have any form of fast play, so people slow roll any time they lose a hand. Call each other derogatory names. Chips vanish when you leave a table. Most of the time they come back after you exit the app. But sometimes they don’t.
It was the same thing every table. Tossed my 30,000,000 chips in two hands (on purpose), so I wouldn’t be tempted to play again. It was difficult to get someone to call because they thought I was donking it. Anyhow, play WSOP or hell, any of them before you play this one. If you do play this one, good luck...

It’s fun at first but I must say in beginning it runs smoothly my experience is I caught a lot of good cards a the start won a good bit of chips once I hit a million no matter how good my hand is someone has better I see it cause now there’s a glitch before the hands last card so that’s led me to believe that I’m gonna most likely lose all my chips so that I buy more but once they’re gone I’ll delete it. I could be wrong that’s certainly the way it seems though my experience anyhow. 24 hours later........ so to reassure me that what I thought was true I just had a strife and was beat by one pair did the rules of poker change?? That was bs I never knew one pair was better than a straight yea there’s no fair dealing for sure. Too many poker apps to put up with such obvious cheating

Fun and easy and visual. It’s free but not exactly free since you need more chips to play with better players. So chips cost something.
It makes the game more interesting as players become more responsible.
I put 4 stars and not 5 because it’s too hard to play for inexperienced players. Time for your turn goes by so quickly you barely can weigh your hand. And when the game is done and all the cards are on the table it’s only a second to see other players’ hands (to understand their ways of thinking)
Overall it’s a very decent game especially for the regions where money poker is unlawful.

Love PokerStars was an old player when we could actually play for money. Government took that away from us in Indianapolis and I helped you fight the good fight in DC. Gave it 4 stars due to a few glitches, one is I get disconnected quite a bit on my cell phone, 2 is sometimes trying to fold a hand I can’t get the cards to move. 3rd is I made it through the ranks quickly to find out you get Demoted when there is no time in my busy schedule to play. I understand the lower ranks but once you reach elite you should be able to hold that respect from other players. On the whole, love you guys and gals.

1) I watch a commercial to get some chips and guess what after watching there’s no way to get out ?? so I have to leave the app and get no chips BOO ! Doesn’t anyone check this stuff out ?
2) playing in a game sometimes the cards are facedown how the hell you bet when you can see cards I just laugh and say geezus and No it’s not my internet connection and Yes I have all the latest updates

Each tier of buy in has a higher jackpot spin in which you could play for a large amount of chips. Unfortunately that’s never the case. Example: just bought in for 500k, and played for 750k! That’s robbery! At the very least you should be playing for the buy ins, of the players! In this current situation, if you lose one game, you have to win the next two tournaments to break even! That’s BS! This is how they get you to make a purchase if you want to continue playing, smart! I’ll continue to play until my free chips runs out, but if I’m paying to play, I’m gonna play live cash games instead of paying to play for free.

I have found cheaters of a couple different kinds
Programs are out primarily in USSR players that allow the user to see all cards and cards due to come off the deck
They never loose a hand they are in and outrageously bet over the top on hands they are in.
The next type are players from the same country. They never compete against each other and come in to the table at close to the same time and are on the phone to each other or on the phone to a few players at the table, again all from the same court try and never bet against each other and are usually out of hands by the turn card.
It’s a problem that they know about at PS and have taken some steps to return integrity to the site.
I have notice some obnoxious players loosing the chat side.
Some are suspended for a period of time and can not sign in and play....then are Chat-less for awhile if I see them again.
I enjoy the game and can usually spot consistent cheaters

Horrible for poker

I am a user of the PokerStars lite app that is no longer on the App Store. I downloaded this for a friend who got a new iPad and tried it-HATED IT. He also hated it. To be fair I then downloaded it on my own iPad to give it a chance. I hate it even more now after using it. My login and password worked, but the menu and overall feel is terrible. If you are a fan of candy crush then this is probably great. It is like the many useless slot machine apps out there. Big graphics and wild sound effects. If you are a poker player that has been using the PokerStars Lite app or their website, this will make you want to quit playing poker. I am deleting it and hanging on to my Lite app as long as possible.

The bad luck after you pay real money is in real... will pay ..99 or 4.99 on micro here and there and lose it within the week because I cannot call on ridiculous hands, when I do, there’s no luck. It seems I can’t get anything over a 9 in what seems like 10 hands, while everyone is raising their hands. The river generator is ridiculous, I’ve lost flops because of rivers I shouldn’t have lost, so for a new player, do not fold until you hit river!! The computer is hard sole, needs more generation but I continue to play because I love poker

Easy to use I’ve played real money when I was able too. What I like about this is there’s good players on here. There ties to Facebook I’m not thrilled about but at least they can’t multi play like on the other sites I play on three and IMO multiple tables is not real poker. You can’t do that in a casino. Very fun and interactive if you know how to play on a free site you do good. If you think you’re all that maybe not your thing

Fix the random number generator please

The developer needs to work on the shuffle of the cards(random number generator). The deal of the cards has the common problem of not taking into account true odds when dealing. So you start seeing 4 of a kind come off several times a day instead of once a week when you play. I have seen this on many sites but. It on PokerStars in the past when I played for real money.

Don’t play this game if you’re looking for anything similar to an authentic experience. The developers claim that the cards are completely random, but honestly that’s just insulting everyone’s intelligence. I’ve lost so many hands where I was ahead 95% at the flop.
The tournaments are always 3-handed for some reason, and the bonus wheel chooses how much you win each game and it’s completely rigged to keep the payouts low so you have to buy chips. It’s so dumb to play a tournament where the payout is significantly less than the 3 buy-ins.

I think you should add this feature where you can show your cards if you are the last person folding to let people enjoy the game and make great folds or bluffs or show you cards when everyone folds to your bet, its a very nice feature to add to the game.

The game app is good but could be much better. Your Sit n Go spin roulette is such a sham. I’ve played over a hundred games an NEVER had a big payout been awarded and in many cases less than the three player buy-in is the winner take all bounty? What a joke!
There’s also the annoying bug that (at least in my iOS device) sometimes doesn’t show my hole yards when action is on me.
All and all good game. Do see plenty more bad beats than in live games but I guess this app has plenty of donkeys playing loose too.

I love the look and feel of this game! It’s simple and sleek, has a relatively quick game timer and allows for quick level ups!!
I have gone in to slots twice now - in the same hour and a half - and both times I reached “milestones.” Once you click the button to accept your milestone rewards, the bet will auto default to MAX BET! The first spin I lost $20M and the second time, after working my way up $2.5M, $3M! Beyond this, two of the slot games I tried to play gave me “something went wrong errors.”
Please fix this!!

There is absolutely nothing legitimate about the poker in this game. Hands are set up and outcomes are predetermined. I have played games where the same player has gotten four of a kind 2 X, 2 flushes and a straight in successive hands. Either this game allows players to cheat and does nothing about it or the hands are set up. I would highly recommend not downloading or playing this game unless you’re ready to throw your money away or get a full house but lose to a player with 4 of a kind. Statistically none of the hands that occur in this game are possible.

As fate as ease of use and speed of game play, I have no complaints. The issue I have is that all tables are 3 handed & play chips encourage players to bet with absolutely no concept of range. I broke out of a tournament when a player went all in first hand with jack/2 off suit while I was holding AQ suited. When would this ever happen at a real poker table? This sort of thing makes this app unhelpful at best. If you want to practice your poker skills, don’t play here. Sorry to the developers.

The regular Hold em is fine. The amount of straights and flushes in the 3 player tournaments is a little fishy though. As long as I have more chips than the other player and go all in I can expect to hit a straight on the river. The app will do whatever it can to end the tournament as quick as possible... when people aren’t losing, developers aren’t making money. Still not as greedy as the other app tournaments.

Graphics are great, but it’s just another buy more coins app. You couldn’t buy a winning hand here. Deals are unrealistic. I have never been dealt so many lousy cards so consistently, and when you finally get a decent hand someone always has a better one. When you exit the game to the lobby the first thing that pops up is to buy more coin. Maybe someday there will be an app where we can just have fun playing!!!

The interface is well designed, and it is great to play against players from around the world. But in the Texas Hold Em game, the starting hands, flops, turns, and rivers seem to be predetermined. I have not way to prove it, but it is my impression. Compared to live in-person gameplay, there seem to be many more flushes and straights than you would otherwise see. It is fun app, but I’d like to learn a bit more about the real “randomness” of the deals.

It’s going to cost you to keep chips in the bank and then some. Don’t plan on just wanting to play a little everyday without buying the chip packages that are $100 plus. And the sit and go’s never EVER spin to play for very much. Most the time it’s just barely double what the buy in is. There’s always someone that literally hits anything and everything but when your on the streak is few and once in a lifetime. I love playing poker but not for $25 a day, and I’m a percentage numbers player.

Was working my way my all the way to the top to be a Poker Star, level 236 I had $334,042,154 in chips. Then I get a message that I have logged unto another device wouldn't let me play any longer
Tried emailing PokerStars Play I didn't get a response gave them my ID number what I ended up with was some new ID# no response $110,000. Don't waste your time, money or time n this game. I did and regret ever even downloading it to my phone. Still waiting for a response to my email.

I agree with many that the bad beats seem improbably and the frequency for which they happen appears high. But, it’s fast-paced and play money. This lends to players playing much broader ranges, more pre-flop all-ins, and ultimately more showdowns with a full board. I can appreciate those that assume illegitimacy, but I sense there’s more to it. Overall, it’s fun and the ease of play is high.

I’ve been playing for some time. The deals are terrible. Too many times you get beat where you are 95% to win. Flush beat with a full house at least 30-40% of the time. Seems like they encourage donkeys to always go all in because it is “exciting”. Makes the game more like roulette than anything like poker. There is no way this is random. Tested or not, it is crap. Absolutely rigged. Miracle rivers almost every match. Do not waste your time with this! Deleting this bullish!t app. Glad I never spent a dime buying chips.

Also Pokerstars knows these are their main customers so its in their best interest to reward those people so they keep coming back. No wonder I keep losing to pocket pairs and aces and people have them so often.

By far the best poker game on the phone as far as user friendliness, graphics, and playability but........it is missing tournament style play which would merit a better rating along with fixing the fact that if you get booted due to connection or other reasons, you cannot re-enter your table.

Initially I loved the app but then I heard people mention bots and thought they were just salty because they lost. And then I ran into “people” who would win 5 hands in a row against everyone at the table. Or in the instance that made me write this, I raised 800k preflop with AA, two guy calls me. After the flop we all eventually go all in, one guy with QQ (legit play) final guy with 27 offsuit... bad beat? Sure it could happen, but then a guy from Argentina wrote that he is pretty sure he’s a bot and he’s been calling high raises and winning all day. Therefore I’m done with this app

Everything about this game is fun and It has taught me a lot. I just wish when we flip our cards at the end that it’s a little bit more clear who won why. Even if that meant just showing the cards for another second or two.

Used to play all the old sites for real money back in the day before they were shut down. This app is A LOT of fun at first. But just like all the other you will win for the first few days then you slowly lose all your chips to NUMEROUS bad beats, absurd runners and the “unbelievable” amount of of times your sucked into betting only to lose on the random river card. Along with the low tournament prize awards and the massive pressure of losses you’ll soon be wondering where all your chips went. Random generator lol!

There seems to be some bugs in the game that assume I am not playing so they skip my hand and force me to fold. There is a button that I click that says “I’m ready” to come back and play and sometimes I will click it and it does not register and forces me to fold over and over again. It does this until I lose all of my chips on the blinds and I am forced to quit the game. It would be a fun game if this did not happen.

Tournaments jackpots are not RNG. See how many times a 3 person tournament has a pool of less than 3x the people participating (hint: not random).
See how many you lose to a “bad beat” I.e. a set up hand. You get a killer hand only to be beat by a much worse one. And in heads up play no less. It’s one thing to argue quantities and expected values. But these things don’t happen that often in heads up play - the majority of heads up play is supposed to be boring!!

Firstly, I understand the influx of these pay to play gambling apps has sky rocketed in the last 2-3 years, most of them are pretty similar with prizes and leveling up. But this is hands down 100% the most obvious scam to get you to buy fake money.
I joined a “tournament” for a 50k buy in to “potentially” win Fifty million. Before the game starts a wheel will spin to determine how much the winner gets. Played 15 in a row to see if the prize pot would ever increase past 100% of your buy in. I’m sure you can guess what happened next. Yeah you guessed it, not a single one.
All in all, keep away from the game. With constant reminders to buy coins, fixed percentages, and most importantly disrespectful transparency that the developers made this game to be.

I have played PokerStars for a number of years and have always enjoyed the interface and always felt it was a pretty good representative of sitting at a real table. I just downloaded this and don’t like anything about it. Instead of feeling like you are actually at a real table playing real people, you now feel like you are in an arcade game playing bots. All the different type of games and tables seem to have disappeared. Guess I will look elsewhere.

When trying to do tournaments the game will give only low amounts to win, so you spend all this time in these tournaments winning, and getting hardly anything.
The standard tables are decent, but they get a bit burnt with so many people playing at once.
Other then that it’s a pretty standard poker app, good for killing time, wish you could play real money tournaments with your play chips.

I went from one table to another and my chips just disappeared. At the next table it auto downloaded the remaining chips I had I chose not to play because of my missing chips. Later on that same day I went back in and those chips were missing. Contacted support ,no answer tried to contact several times more and every time it said could not connect with server. Don’t waste your time.

This game makes it sound as if you can easily buy in and win real money. That is anything but true. They force you to buy in before you even get a chance to make an account, then they make creating an account very hard. And forget about withdrawing, that’s basically impossible. This is just another poker app that uses “free chip” bs To entice people into their scam. Disgusted with my experience and feel like a fool.

Lost 70 million in a couple hrs playing 2.5 million tournaments. No lie almost 20 in a row on river cards and against 90% starter or novice players. That’s when I noticed this is more then just bad beats . Complete buy more chips money scam. Fun to kill time but ull see what I’m talking about. Disappointed PokerStars! U might b hooking ppl now but eventually more and more ppl will notice then nobody will b playing. Bots vs bots? Hmmmm.....

The bad luck after you pay real money is in real... will pay ..99 or 4.99 on micro here and there and lose it within the week because I cannot call on ridiculous hands, when I do, there’s no luck. It seems I can’t get anything over a 9 in what seems like 10 hands, while everyone is raising their hands. The river generator is ridiculous, I’ve lost flops because of rivers I shouldn’t have lost, so for a new player, do not fold until you hit river!! The computer is hard sole, needs more generation but I continue to play because I love poker

The developer needs to work on the shuffle of the cards(random number generator). The deal of the cards has the common problem of not taking into account true odds when dealing. So you start seeing 4 of a kind come off several times a day instead of once a week when you play. I have seen this on many sites but. It on PokerStars in the past when I played for real money.

Completely rigged. I’ve seen it from both sides. Making straight flushes against ace high flush. Then on the flip side I can’t win a hand when going to the river 90+ favorite. I go all in with kings or aces and king queen off calls and makes trips or a runner runner flush in a twenty tournament span. Play with caution but don’t buy chips. Save your money!

Each tier of buy in has a higher jackpot spin in which you could play for a large amount of chips. Unfortunately that’s never the case. Example: just bought in for 500k, and played for 750k! That’s robbery! At the very least you should be playing for the buy ins, of the players! In this current situation, if you lose one game, you have to win the next two tournaments to break even! That’s BS! This is how they get you to make a purchase if you want to continue playing, smart! I’ll continue to play until my free chips runs out, but if I’m paying to play, I’m gonna play live cash games instead of paying to play for free.

Just downloaded this game. Literally every single winning hand - (i.e. three of a kind on flop, straights, flushes, even a full house) - gets called by someone who needs runner runner - and they win. EVERY SINGLE TIME!!! I started recording my play - ten hands in a row this happened to me and it’s statistically improbable to have that happen unless cards are being manipulated. Good luck in getting me to play real money version. I’ll stick to bet online.

I used to love playing this whenever I had free time. On my birthday, a day I took off from work to relax, I wanted to get my poker fix, since I de-stress by playing and it is my hobby. Well, that entire day, pokerstars was down for maintenance. Okay, oh well, it happens. Since their full day of maintenance, you would expect no bugs afterwards, right? Wrong. So many times, I have played high stakes tourneys, just to have the screen freeze right after buying in. Beyond frustrating. Especially because I purchased chips prior to these bugs FREQUENTLY. It was excited being promoted in the leagues every week. Addicting. Well, after all of the disappointment, it didn’t make sense to keep purchasing chips. So I earned them for free watching ads, spinning the wheel, etc. only to find that after doing so, the freezing is still occurring. Did I mention this is beyond frustrating? I’ve reached out to customer service sending time stamped screenshots. They ask what operating software & phone I use. That would be IPhone X that updates the iOS and my apps AUTOMATICALLY. So the blame is not on me. My WiFi Is always dependable and all of my other apps work perfect so yeah, again, blame is not on me. I am a business owner and I can tell you, this is customer service at its worst. I will be happy to change my review for an app that was once my favorite, if the a situation is properly resolved. Until then, it’s one lonely star for pokerstars unless they decide to actually do what is fair. Until then, I am even going to throw in the famous, “I’d give it no stars if I could”

Thanks for the polite response, unlike the last one that I got. My frustration keeps growing. I try to unwind after work and play this app and the freezes, And constantly having to leave just to reopen the app and lose chips drives me crazy. I’m trying not to give up on this app but the more I play it lately, the more my frustration grows. I have numerous screenshots of this happening as well as emails with no attempts to at least attempt to reimburse.

Every spin in the winner take all is either 2-2.5x buy in. Nothing more after a week of playing And that’s if it loads. On different WiFi, off WiFi, reinstalled, etc. trash now. It’ll just sit in the lobby of the game until I close and open the app. By the time it does load I have 0 chips left and I’m done. Fun

No longer works on my ipad. This is a company that should be investigated. Regularly eats your winnings. Do not put real money into this! It is easy to play for free.
All “spin the wheels” result in the lowest possible win. So obviously not random. And if these algorithms are “fixed”, then what algorithms aren’t “fixed”? I would suspect all algorithms are “fixed” towards you spending more money.

I have been working my way up through the ranks. I have found that you did get discernible difference in quality of players - generally speaking, as you play up against more established or experienced players. (I mention this because you often have to wonder if you aren’t just playing “Bots”.
I have had several .. minor-ish problems:
Once, I and another player “FoxyXYZ?” (I’m TC1228).. somehow “shared” profiles for a while - and HE benefitted from my playing because once I saw that the userID wasn’t mine - I figured out how to log into my proper profile. PROBLEM? - I lost the chips I had accumulated (just north of 1 MM, at that time.)
Another problem: I have seen other users have actual pictures of themselves in their profile image. I wrote asking how I could do the same. I was instructed to log in using FaceBook. I don’t use FaceBook! But that should not be an obstacle, in my view.
(When I had originally written about this matter - I even anticipated some “gotcha” so I had attached my jpg picture to my e-mail (if I remember correctly - and had asked the help-desk people to attach it...)
Finally, I minor-ish short-coming of the program - I have seen that Russian regularly are able to be quite a range of bets at all assorted levels of gaming. I, on the other hand, am restricted to rather large “lumpy” bets.. that is ONLY in big-blind increments. I REALLY feel that it is a legitimate “need” to be able to tweak your bets, sometimes - so as to influence play. I can’t do this because... I have to bet in “lumpy”... finite bet-increments.
Oh - one other matter - I play on my tablet. I find that typing even very short messages to other players is VERY cumbersome.. (I have to: click on my icon, click on the keyboard, THEN try to quickly type a message.
Can - might - the developers make it so that composing messages is easier? ... OR.. how about allowing us to customize some canned messages WE can choose from? Our OWN messages... (you provide us some, already - but.. e.g., let me select, “You are SUCH a calling station!” Or... “That was MY play!”... you get the idea...

I’ve been playing for some time. The deals are terrible. Too many times you get beat where you are 95% to win. Flush beat with a full house at least 30-40% of the time. Seems like they encourage donkeys to always go all in because it is “exciting”. Makes the game more like roulette than anything like poker. There is no way this is random. Tested or not, it is crap. Absolutely rigged. Miracle rivers almost every match. Do not waste your time with this! Deleting this bullish!t app. Glad I never spent a dime buying chips.

This game makes it sound as if you can easily buy in and win real money. That is anything but true. They force you to buy in before you even get a chance to make an account, then they make creating an account very hard. And forget about withdrawing, that’s basically impossible. There seems to be some bugs in the game that assume I am not playing so they skip my hand and force me to fold. There is a button that I click that says “I’m ready” to come back and play and sometimes I will click it and it does not register and forces me to fold over and over again. It does this until I lose all of my chips on the blinds and I am forced to quit the game. It would be a fun game if this did not happen.

Went from a 42 % win rate to a 31 % win rate. The only time I can win is when I spend 100.00.

This isn’t real Poker. It’s completely rigged. I had a 40% tournament win rate when I was beginner/novice rank. But now that I’m in ‘skilled,’ I’ve lost about 20 tournaments in a row with maybe ONE win in between for only a 1.5x gain and my win rate has dropped to 37%. I am not exaggerating. Ever since my rank has been in ‘skilled’ tier, almost every single hand that I raise, the other two players call me with absolutely nothing and then one of them hits the nuts on the river. I have lost with pocket aces to quad 2’s TWICE this week.
After you begin requiring a large amount of winnings to advance to the next tier, the game tries very VERY hard to clean you because it knows you’re likely to spend. It’s merely a cash grab, nothing more. It’s also full of glitches such as having your cards dealt to your face down, or being unable to raise. Big waste of time.

Was working my way my all the way to the top to be a Poker Star, level 236 I had $334,042,154 in chips. Then I get a message that I have logged unto another device wouldn't let me play any longer
Tried emailing PokerStars Play I didn't get a response gave them my ID number what I ended up with was some new ID# no response $110,000. Don't waste your time, money or time n this game. I did and regret ever even downloading it to my phone. Still waiting for a response to my email.

Played for a year. I have noticed what must be random patterns according to all these poker apps including yep this one and read reviews of others that say same thing. Get a lot of beginners luck. See a lot of miracles on the river. See a lot of spin & go where you check all the way through with 6,7 unsuited and the winner has 7,8. Seen a lot of trips on the flop, get a full house and someone always has four of a kind. See a lot of bad luck after you buy chips. Seen a lot of bad beats including losing to three full houses in one session. Seen a lot of top pair hole cards where everyone folds before you can make a bet. Have been on both sides of all these but mostly the wrong side. Rigged or not and I notice that the developer does not say they have been certified by some independent fair play organization - which WSOP say they have and post every time someone writes a review like this one. In the end, if you want to spend money being entertained, then go for it. I went on a bad losing streak and deleted the app after I lost on a straight to a flush on the river. I am going to go back to playing with real cards shuffled by real people.

Unbelievable hands show up. Flushes are like pairs. If you get 3 of the same suit on the flop 90% of the time the winning hand is a flush. I you think you have something decent to play, forget it. The game will deal unrealistic cards consistently that will guarantee you a loss. I could go on and on. It used to be fun but not anymore.

As fate as ease of use and speed of game play, I have no complaints. The issue I have is that all tables are 3 handed & play chips encourage players to bet with absolutely no concept of range. I broke out of a tournament when a player went all in first hand with jack/2 off suit while I was holding AQ suited. When would this ever happen at a real poker table? This sort of thing makes this app unhelpful at best. If you want to practice your poker skills, don’t play here. Sorry to the developers.

It’s hard enough to sharpen your game playing with play chips because people will call you down with nothing. It’s COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE to sharpen your game with this rigged app. First off, their claim that the card generator is definitionally incorrect. There is absolutely nothing random about computers. Computers only do what they are told to do or programmed to do. And with this app, it’s completely ridiculous. I’m assuming that they program it to create “exciting” hands. About 75 percent of hands are decided on the river. There are an insanely disproportionate number of hands that contain flush over flush, set over set, etc. if you flop top pair, you can bet your life that the other two cards match someone’s hole cards. It seems that I am on the losing end of these rigged hands most of the time but I also have won several hands in the same ridiculous fashion. There’s just no possible way that all of these crazy wild hands that are decided on the river are random. Also DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY BONUS CHIPS FROM THIS APP. I did this on three occasions and after each time, I lost EVERY SINGLE TOURNANENT I entered until the chips were gone (lost 17 straight tournaments one time). Do not waste your time!

This is a really fun app that is mildly interactive. The glitches thoroughly got to me and I was done! Totally going to delete it. Alas, I kept returning to it and learned to wait out the glitches and know it’s just an app. Unbelievable hands come through on the river but I’d say the app is non-personal and anyone could be the lucky one. More often, it’s just plain fun even with imperfections OMG. In good conscience, I had to update my former review. Enjoy, it’s just a game. :)

Tournaments jackpots are not RNG. See how many times a 3 person tournament has a pool of less than 3x the people participating (hint: not random).
See how many you lose to a “bad beat” I.e. a set up hand. You get a killer hand only to be beat by a much worse one. And in heads up play no less. It’s one thing to argue quantities and expected values. But these things don’t happen that often in heads up play - the majority of heads up play is supposed to be boring!!

Read some of the reviews can’t believe anyone would complain, it’s free and it’s a lot of fun! A great way to burn time if you have time to burn, players get better hands then real poker but if you play right as if you was playing real poker and truly know how to play it all washes out the same.. it’s the only game I now have on my phone and the only one I want or need.. happy playing but if you come and play like you don’t have no since beware I’ll take your chips

The game is fun and it’s easy to use. The only reason I gave this a 3 star review is the profile system. It asked for my Facebook log in info or to create a guest account. I don’t like linking everything to my Facebook so I created the guest account. Played the game for a few weeks and then they closed the account. So I went into the settings and attempted to log in with Facebook. It didn’t work. Contacted customer support and they said I have to create another account. Why allow someone to create the guest account if you can’t use it long term/log in to facebook later? Not the worst thing in the world but it is annoying when you had 2 million chips saved up. I won’t be creating another account or playing this anymore. If you want to play this game, immediately create a profile using your Facebook info.
Update: Changed to 4 stars since the developer reached out to correct the mistake. To the developer: My guest account was Goodflush570. I wasn’t able to link this to my Facebook after it got closed so I never made an actual account. Since I’ve removed the app I imagine the account is no longer active. Hopefully you’re able to see what happen. I appreciate the reimbursement but I don’t think I’ll be getting the app again.

It’s hard enough to sharpen your game playing with play chips because people will call you down with nothing. It’s COMPLETELY IMPOSSIBLE to sharpen your game with this rigged app. First off, their claim that the card generator is definitionally incorrect. There is absolutely nothing random about computers. Computers only do what they are told to do or programmed to do. And with this app, it’s completely ridiculous. I’m assuming that they program it to create “exciting” hands. About 75 percent of hands are decided on the river. There are an insanely disproportionate number of hands that contain flush over flush, set over set, etc. if you flop top pair, you can bet your life that the other two cards match someone’s hole cards. It seems that I am on the losing end of these rigged hands most of the time but I also have won several hands in the same ridiculous fashion. There’s just no possible way that all of these crazy wild hands that are decided on the river are random. Also DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY BONUS CHIPS FROM THIS APP. I did this on three occasions and after each time, I lost EVERY SINGLE TOURNANENT I entered until the chips were gone (lost 17 straight tournaments one time). Do not waste your time!

Played for a year. I have noticed what must be random patterns according to all these poker apps including yep this one and read reviews of others that say same thing. Get a lot of beginners luck. See a lot of miracles on the river. See a lot of spin & go where you check all the way through with 6,7 unsuited and the winner has 7,8. Seen a lot of trips on the flop, get a full house and someone always has four of a kind. See a lot of bad luck after you buy chips. Seen a lot of bad beats including losing to three full houses in one session. Seen a lot of top pair hole cards where everyone folds before you can make a bet. Have been on both sides of all these but mostly the wrong side. Rigged or not and I notice that the developer does not say they have been certified by some independent fair play organization - which WSOP say they have and post every time someone writes a review like this one. In the end, if you want to spend money being entertained, then go for it. I went on a bad losing streak and deleted the app after I lost on a straight to a flush on the river. I am going to go back to playing with real cards shuffled by real people.
Glitches and patterns

Was skeptical of new software (old PokerStars player) but gave it a shot. Not bad for a play money app. I have come across a couple of glitches that aren’t frequent but aren’t rare either where the check button doesn’t come up forcing you to bet or neither the check nor the bet button comes up - annoying but not often enough to hate playing. What I got into though was the leagues portion of the game. Unfortunately, I’m noticing that it doesn’t log all my tournament wins. I won several the night before and I come back today to a 0 balance (and yes, this was after the old league stats ended and should have been counted on new league) very disappointing. Also, they really should eliminate the 1.5x tourney prize on these games - but that’s just my opinion. Also starting to notice patterns of repeated odds beating by certain players meaning time after time in the same tournaments they defy odds to win. Not just the occasional bad beat but runner runner over and over again (and runner runner runner runner too). I understand the “Unbelievable” as one of your three default options for chat.

A play money app should make all of its income from advertising(which there is plenty of on this one), right...unless people actually purchase chips(which seems highly unlikely [but not necessarily “unbelievable”])? My biggest complaint is that on the spin and go 3-person tournaments that the most frequent payout is only 1.5 times the buy-in, which is completely absurd. Not once have I played and it spun for the however many millions each one has as its highest denomination on the wheel, but regardless the least you should make back for winning is 3x your buy-in which doesn’t seem unreasonable considering the chip value is imaginary(and by winning more people would naturally play more)... maybe I’m wrong and people actually do purchase fake chips, if so then good on ya, if not it would make more sense to keep people on the app furthering your advertising exposure, no? Just one guy’s $.02.

This isn’t real Poker. It’s completely rigged. I had a 40% tournament win rate when I was beginner/novice rank. But now that I’m in ‘skilled,’ I’ve lost about 20 tournaments in a row with maybe ONE win in between for only a 1.5x gain and my win rate has dropped to 37%. I am not exaggerating. Ever since my rank has been in ‘skilled’ tier, almost every single hand that I raise, the other two players call me with absolutely nothing and then one of them hits the nuts on the river. I have lost with pocket aces to quad 2’s TWICE this week.
After you begin requiring a large amount of winnings to advance to the next tier, the game tries very VERY hard to clean you because it knows you’re likely to spend. It’s merely a cash grab, nothing more. It’s also full of glitches such as having your cards dealt to your face down, or being unable to raise. Big waste of time.

I have been playing this game for about 2 months. I love the ease of use and the playability, however, if you go into this thinking it is a “fair game”, you are going to be very disappointed. I have played MULTIPLE tournaments at all levels and regardless of the situation I have seen hands such as 3 of a kind, full houses, straights and even straight flushes get beaten on the river by hands that should never have even been in the pot to begin with. It’s a crapshoot at best. People calling all in bets when all they have is a small pair, 3 to a flush, needing 2 cards t fill an inside straight and somehow winning against dominate hands, REGULARLY. I’ll you want to do is pass the time, enjoy, but if you want a realistic experience, pass on this one.

Wish that it was like the good old PokerStars days.. I miss real money play tourneys and satellites can't get the numbers in real life like online and micro buyins are my flavor because I'm not very wealthy,This app seems like it started having bad beats more since I actually purchased a bonus offer I had pop for chips , I didn't think I ever would but now I have expensive taste as far as my blond size and tournament buy in size but , I lost all of it after realizing it was against me I got a little tilted and started donating my chips in my rage.. now it kind of ruined the normal play for me with the free 15-45k they dish out, it's just dull to me now, but I don't have the desire to buy any chips that seems kind of dumb that I would have to begin with.

I don’t know how the “new” PokerStars apps are designed, but I can tell you this one is terrible. It looks okay. It’s addictive...but it’s garbage. I could go on all day about why. But I’m just going to say the community is toxic. They don’t have any form of fast play, so people slow roll any time they lose a hand. Call each other derogatory names. Chips vanish when you leave a table. Most of the time they come back after you exit the app. But sometimes they don’t.
It was the same thing every table. Tossed my 30,000,000 chips in two hands (on purpose), so I wouldn’t be tempted to play again. It was difficult to get someone to call because they thought I was donking it. Anyhow, play WSOP or hell, any of them before you play this one. If you do play this one, good luck...

It’s fun at first but I must say in beginning it runs smoothly my experience is I caught a lot of good cards a the start won a good bit of chips once I hit a million no matter how good my hand is someone has better I see it cause now there’s a glitch before the hands last card so that’s led me to believe that I’m gonna most likely lose all my chips so that I buy more but once they’re gone I’ll delete it. I could be wrong that’s certainly the way it seems though my experience anyhow. 24 hours later........ so to reassure me that what I thought was true I just had a strife and was beat by one pair did the rules of poker change?? That was bs I never knew one pair was better than a straight yea there’s no fair dealing for sure. Too many poker apps to put up with such obvious cheating

Fun and easy and visual. It’s free but not exactly free since you need more chips to play with better players. So chips cost something.
It makes the game more interesting as players become more responsible.
I put 4 stars and not 5 because it’s too hard to play for inexperienced players. Time for your turn goes by so quickly you barely can weigh your hand. And when the game is done and all the cards are on the table it’s only a second to see other players’ hands (to understand their ways of thinking)
Overall it’s a very decent game especially for the regions where money poker is unlawful.

Love PokerStars was an old player when we could actually play for money. Government took that away from us in Indianapolis and I helped you fight the good fight in DC. Gave it 4 stars due to a few glitches, one is I get disconnected quite a bit on my cell phone, 2 is sometimes trying to fold a hand I can’t get the cards to move. 3rd is I made it through the ranks quickly to find out you get Demoted when there is no time in my busy schedule to play. I understand the lower ranks but once you reach elite you should be able to hold that respect from other players. On the whole, love you guys and gals.

Geese I always thought PokerStars was great and upstanding been playing on the original site since 2001 so I decided to download this game I hate to say it’s poor 😕
1) I watch a commercial to get some chips and guess what after watching there’s no way to get out ?? so I have to leave the app and get no chips BOO ! Doesn’t anyone check this stuff out ?
2) playing in a game sometimes the cards are facedown how the hell you bet when you can see cards I just laugh and say geezus and No it’s not my internet connection and Yes I have all the latest updates
Ya know I hate to bash PokerStars cause I like playing on your sites you want me to spend money BUT you need to clean up some things I expect more from PokerStars!

Each tier of buy in has a higher jackpot spin in which you could play for a large amount of chips. Unfortunately that’s never the case. Example: just bought in for 500k, and played for 750k! That’s robbery! At the very least you should be playing for the buy ins, of the players! In this current situation, if you lose one game, you have to win the next two tournaments to break even! That’s BS! This is how they get you to make a purchase if you want to continue playing, smart! I’ll continue to play until my free chips runs out, but if I’m paying to play, I’m gonna play live cash games instead of paying to play for free.

I have found cheaters of a couple different kinds
Programs are out primarily in USSR players that allow the user to see all cards and cards due to come off the deck
They never loose a hand they are in and outrageously bet over the top on hands they are in.
The next type are players from the same country. They never compete against each other and come in to the table at close to the same time and are on the phone to each other or on the phone to a few players at the table, again all from the same court try and never bet against each other and are usually out of hands by the turn card.
It’s a problem that they know about at PS and have taken some steps to return integrity to the site.
I have notice some obnoxious players loosing the chat side.
Some are suspended for a period of time and can not sign in and play....then are Chat-less for awhile if I see them again.
I enjoy the game and can usually spot consistent cheaters

This is a really fun app that is mildly interactive. The glitches thoroughly got to me and I was done! Totally going to delete it. Alas, I kept returning to it and learned to wait out the glitches and know it’s just an app. Unbelievable hands come through on the river but I’d say the app is non-personal and anyone could be the lucky one. More often, it’s just plain fun even with imperfections OMG. In good conscience, I had to update my former review. Enjoy, it’s just a game. :)
Horrible for poker

I am a user of the PokerStars lite app that is no longer on the App Store. I downloaded this for a friend who got a new iPad and tried it-HATED IT. He also hated it. To be fair I then downloaded it on my own iPad to give it a chance. I hate it even more now after using it. My login and password worked, but the menu and overall feel is terrible. If you are a fan of candy crush then this is probably great. It is like the many useless slot machine apps out there. Big graphics and wild sound effects. If you are a poker player that has been using the PokerStars Lite app or their website, this will make you want to quit playing poker. I am deleting it and hanging on to my Lite app as long as possible.

The bad luck after you pay real money is in real... will pay ..99 or 4.99 on micro here and there and lose it within the week because I cannot call on ridiculous hands, when I do, there’s no luck. It seems I can’t get anything over a 9 in what seems like 10 hands, while everyone is raising their hands. The river generator is ridiculous, I’ve lost flops because of rivers I shouldn’t have lost, so for a new player, do not fold until you hit river!! The computer is hard sole, needs more generation but I continue to play because I love poker

Easy to use I’ve played real money when I was able too. What I like about this is there’s good players on here. There ties to Facebook I’m not thrilled about but at least they can’t multi play like on the other sites I play on three and IMO multiple tables is not real poker. You can’t do that in a casino. Very fun and interactive if you know how to play on a free site you do good. If you think you’re all that maybe not your thing

The developer needs to work on the shuffle of the cards(random number generator). The deal of the cards has the common problem of not taking into account true odds when dealing. So you start seeing 4 of a kind come off several times a day instead of once a week when you play. I have seen this on many sites but. It on PokerStars in the past when I played for real money.

Don’t play this game if you’re looking for anything similar to an authentic experience. The developers claim that the cards are completely random, but honestly that’s just insulting everyone’s intelligence. I’ve lost so many hands where I was ahead 95% at the flop.
The tournaments are always 3-handed for some reason, and the bonus wheel chooses how much you win each game and it’s completely rigged to keep the payouts low so you have to buy chips. It’s so dumb to play a tournament where the payout is significantly less than the 3 buy-ins.
Just don’t bother. It’s only going to make you upset. Go outside and be a person instead.

I think you should add this feature where you can show your cards if you are the last person folding to let people enjoy the game and make great folds or bluffs or show you cards when everyone folds to your bet, its a very nice feature to add to the game.

The game app is good but could be much better. Your Sit n Go spin roulette is such a sham. I’ve played over a hundred games an NEVER had a big payout been awarded and in many cases less than the three player buy-in is the winner take all bounty? What a joke!
There’s also the annoying bug that (at least in my iOS device) sometimes doesn’t show my hole yards when action is on me.
All and all good game. Do see plenty more bad beats than in live games but I guess this app has plenty of donkeys playing loose too.

I love the look and feel of this game! It’s simple and sleek, has a relatively quick game timer and allows for quick level ups!!
I have gone in to slots twice now - in the same hour and a half - and both times I reached “milestones.” Once you click the button to accept your milestone rewards, the bet will auto default to MAX BET! The first spin I lost $20M and the second time, after working my way up $2.5M, $3M! Beyond this, two of the slot games I tried to play gave me “something went wrong errors.”
Please fix this!!

There is absolutely nothing legitimate about the poker in this game. Hands are set up and outcomes are predetermined. I have played games where the same player has gotten four of a kind 2 X, 2 flushes and a straight in successive hands. Either this game allows players to cheat and does nothing about it or the hands are set up. I would highly recommend not downloading or playing this game unless you’re ready to throw your money away or get a full house but lose to a player with 4 of a kind. Statistically none of the hands that occur in this game are possible.

As fate as ease of use and speed of game play, I have no complaints. The issue I have is that all tables are 3 handed & play chips encourage players to bet with absolutely no concept of range. I broke out of a tournament when a player went all in first hand with jack/2 off suit while I was holding AQ suited. When would this ever happen at a real poker table? This sort of thing makes this app unhelpful at best. If you want to practice your poker skills, don’t play here. Sorry to the developers.

The regular Hold em is fine. The amount of straights and flushes in the 3 player tournaments is a little fishy though. As long as I have more chips than the other player and go all in I can expect to hit a straight on the river. The app will do whatever it can to end the tournament as quick as possible... when people aren’t losing, developers aren’t making money. Still not as greedy as the other app tournaments.

Graphics are great, but it’s just another buy more coins app. You couldn’t buy a winning hand here. Deals are unrealistic. I have never been dealt so many lousy cards so consistently, and when you finally get a decent hand someone always has a better one. When you exit the game to the lobby the first thing that pops up is to buy more coin. Maybe someday there will be an app where we can just have fun playing!!!

The interface is well designed, and it is great to play against players from around the world. But in the Texas Hold Em game, the starting hands, flops, turns, and rivers seem to be predetermined. I have not way to prove it, but it is my impression. Compared to live in-person gameplay, there seem to be many more flushes and straights than you would otherwise see. It is fun app, but I’d like to learn a bit more about the real “randomness” of the deals.

It’s going to cost you to keep chips in the bank and then some. Don’t plan on just wanting to play a little everyday without buying the chip packages that are $100 plus. And the sit and go’s never EVER spin to play for very much. Most the time it’s just barely double what the buy in is. There’s always someone that literally hits anything and everything but when your on the streak is few and once in a lifetime. I love playing poker but not for $25 a day, and I’m a percentage numbers player.

Was working my way my all the way to the top to be a Poker Star, level 236 I had $334,042,154 in chips. Then I get a message that I have logged unto another device wouldn't let me play any longer
Tried emailing PokerStars Play I didn't get a response gave them my ID number what I ended up with was some new ID# no response $110,000. Don't waste your time, money or time n this game. I did and regret ever even downloading it to my phone. Still waiting for a response to my email.

I agree with many that the bad beats seem improbably and the frequency for which they happen appears high. But, it’s fast-paced and play money. This lends to players playing much broader ranges, more pre-flop all-ins, and ultimately more showdowns with a full board. I can appreciate those that assume illegitimacy, but I sense there’s more to it. Overall, it’s fun and the ease of play is high.

I’ve been playing for some time. The deals are terrible. Too many times you get beat where you are 95% to win. Flush beat with a full house at least 30-40% of the time. Seems like they encourage donkeys to always go all in because it is “exciting”. Makes the game more like roulette than anything like poker. There is no way this is random. Tested or not, it is crap. Absolutely rigged. Miracle rivers almost every match. Do not waste your time with this! Deleting this bullish!t app. Glad I never spent a dime buying chips.

Also Pokerstars knows these are their main customers so its in their best interest to reward those people so they keep coming back. No wonder I keep losing to pocket pairs and aces and people have them so often.

Edit: After using it again after customer support response...I'm fully convinced this game is cheating. By far the best poker game on the phone as far as user friendliness, graphics, and playability but........it is missing tournament style play which would merit a better rating along with fixing the fact that if you get booted due to connection or other reasons, you cannot re-enter your table.

Initially I loved the app but then I heard people mention bots and thought they were just salty because they lost. And then I ran into “people” who would win 5 hands in a row against everyone at the table. Or in the instance that made me write this, I raised 800k preflop with AA, two guy calls me. After the flop we all eventually go all in, one guy with QQ (legit play) final guy with 27 offsuit... bad beat? Sure it could happen, but then a guy from Argentina wrote that he is pretty sure he’s a bot and he’s been calling high raises and winning all day. Therefore I’m done with this app

Used to play all the old sites for real money back in the day before they were shut down. This app is A LOT of fun at first. But just like all the other you will win for the first few days then you slowly lose all your chips to NUMEROUS bad beats, absurd runners and the “unbelievable” amount of of times your sucked into betting only to lose on the random river card. Along with the low tournament prize awards and the massive pressure of losses you’ll soon be wondering where all your chips went. Random generator lol!
Bugs

There seems to be some bugs in the game that assume I am not playing so they skip my hand and force me to fold. There is a button that I click that says “I’m ready” to come back and play and sometimes I will click it and it does not register and forces me to fold over and over again. It does this until I lose all of my chips on the blinds and I am forced to quit the game. It would be a fun game if this did not happen.

Tournaments jackpots are not RNG. See how many times a 3 person tournament has a pool of less than 3x the people participating (hint: not random).
See how many you lose to a “bad beat” I.e. a set up hand. You get a killer hand only to be beat by a much worse one. And in heads up play no less. It’s one thing to argue quantities and expected values. But these things don’t happen that often in heads up play - the majority of heads up play is supposed to be boring!!

Firstly, I understand the influx of these pay to play gambling apps has sky rocketed in the last 2-3 years, most of them are pretty similar with prizes and leveling up. But this is hands down 100% the most obvious scam to get you to buy fake money.
I joined a “tournament” for a 50k buy in to “potentially” win Fifty million. Before the game starts a wheel will spin to determine how much the winner gets. Played 15 in a row to see if the prize pot would ever increase past 100% of your buy in. I’m sure you can guess what happened next. Yeah you guessed it, not a single one.
All in all, keep away from the game. With constant reminders to buy coins, fixed percentages, and most importantly disrespectful transparency that the developers made this game to be.

I have played PokerStars for a number of years and have always enjoyed the interface and always felt it was a pretty good representative of sitting at a real table. I just downloaded this and don’t like anything about it. Instead of feeling like you are actually at a real table playing real people, you now feel like you are in an arcade game playing bots. All the different type of games and tables seem to have disappeared. Guess I will look elsewhere.

When trying to do tournaments the game will give only low amounts to win, so you spend all this time in these tournaments winning, and getting hardly anything.
The standard tables are decent, but they get a bit burnt with so many people playing at once.
Other then that it’s a pretty standard poker app, good for killing time, wish you could play real money tournaments with your play chips.

I went from one table to another and my chips just disappeared. At the next table it auto downloaded the remaining chips I had I chose not to play because of my missing chips. Later on that same day I went back in and those chips were missing. Contacted support ,no answer tried to contact several times more and every time it said could not connect with server. Don’t waste your time.
Crashing after update?

My game has crashed after this last update so many times.. kicking me out of a lobby and the chips I had in the lobby are never returned to me.. I’ve lost almost 100k today alone.. I love this game and have been playing it for a while.. this is the first this has ever happened.. :(

This game makes it sound as if you can easily buy in and win real money. That is anything but true. They force you to buy in before you even get a chance to make an account, then they make creating an account very hard. And forget about withdrawing, that’s basically impossible. This is just another poker app that uses “free chip” bs To entice people into their scam. Disgusted with my experience and feel like a fool.
