Money money
by 2007 awesome on 2021/01/16 13:37
OK don’t get me wrong but I know this app looks cool and it says FREE and when it says in app purchases it means like the whole app you have to purchase. This app is very cool but there’s a lot of things you have to pay for and I don’t feel like I’m getting the whole affect thing of the app so if you don’t really like to spend money on your apps I would not recommend this for you

Misleading Download Requires Purchase
by GraphicsPro on 2021/01/10 18:44
Looks great up until it isn’t. Choice of day, month, or lifetime purchase l. I’d chose a more powerful alternative to Enlight instead. UPDATE: after developer response I’ll had that, yes you can use it for free on a trial basis. Again, there’s much better, and more powerful apps to purchase than this one.
Why
by herbyessence on 2021/01/01 03:36
I purchased the original enlight app a few years back. It did the same exact features as the current “new” app, but did not require an additional subscription fee to use. For what this app is, it’s not worth a monthly or yearly subscription fee. That will never change though due to greedy developers...
Frustrating
by I have to write a long name on 2020/12/29 23:15
It worked good at first and then suddenly in the middle of the photos a caption appeared that said heal buy photo box or something else like that and it was so frustrating! When I saved it I couldn’t actually see the photo it would just have a project 44 on it or something like that!! Do not get not recommended throw it out the window!!!!!!!
Your welcome...
by Ward M. on 2020/12/27 14:01
Early user of the original app that back when you were new and cutting your teeth in the App Store we paid $4.99 for. All of us paying that back then was the catalyst of your group growing to where it is today. But killing off the old app completely is really wrong. For me and what I want to do from my phone the original app was perfect. I’d been away from iOS for a while and just getting things back during my return only to find you destroyed my favorite quick edit app and now I have to go pro in order to save a photo with a few text layers? Crazy... I’m all for business growing, expanding, doing new and better things but you should have treated the early adopters better than this. I’ll use any tool other than this just based on the principal. A brief read of the reviews shows I’m not alone in my opinion.
Great but I have some questions
by Sarcastic_Candy998 on 2020/12/26 03:26
Okay, I’m not gonna lie, this app is absolutely amazing and when I downloaded it I immediately downloaded the other three apps. I think with the bundle people don’t understand that it’s free and they don’t have to pay unless they want in app purchases, so they give it bad reviews. But these apps are completely free. To wrap it up, I have a few questions ( I just got this an hour ago don’t judge I’m a noob ) How do you save/share the photos? Also how do you enter the challenges? Thanks for reading, I would 100% recommend this app for passionate photo editors like me!
Not a trustworthy developer
by Mark Cuckerberg on 2020/12/25 16:22
I bought enlight. Now they ended support for enlight (the app I paid money for) making it unstable, and expect me to pay a subscription for fox. Don’t trust this developer. I won’t be giving them another cent.
They took away all the features!
by Briar guy on 2020/12/25 03:44
Man!!!! I’m so upset I LOVED this app so much I finally had it down and was really getting great editing in then it updated and they removed almost all the tools... it’s just lighting and filters now why even bother have it at all if it’s gonna just do the same thing snap chat and Instagram does. such a disappointment I loved this app so much
Don’t waste your money.
by Artprof2020 on 2020/12/18 22:05
I signed up for art leap but in order to do any photo editing you have to download Photofox and a separate app for video. Each app asks you to sign up and pay more. The feature I really wanted that was promoted on Instagram wasn’t even on the app. Don’t waste your money. You are better off using free Facebook editing options. I will not be continuing with this app.
Good but..
by Mojang child on 2020/12/18 01:54
It is a really cool app but it costs money to save a photo and if i try to take a screenshot then the name of the filter gets in the way i cant do anything about it. Anything to fix this?
Retouch
by Ryan1226 on 2020/12/16 12:01
I just watched a tutorial for your app on YouTube. You showed retouch but when I look on the app it’s not there and I paid for the one time purchase so it should be included I would think.
Won’t save
by YGRyooper on 2020/12/14 21:37
For some reason when I edit a photo I can’t save it to my camera roll without paying for the paid version. I would like help.
Love this app but, issues
by ajo909 on 2020/12/14 12:21
First of all in some of the free tutorials some of the stuff is for members. Second some of the stock is offensive to women. When I search surfing by its self all of the pictures were of men, then I searched girl surfers and the majority of the pictures were of women in bathing suits posing. And when I got to the bottom it was women at home or kissing their husbands. This does not seem fair does it. So please make your stock have pictures of women actually doing something, thank you.
Double charge

by b00mstick on 2020/12/10 02:00
No, this isn’t a free app. After three days they start charging you automatically for something most free photo editing apps will do.
I love this app!!
by haha😚 on 2020/12/09 14:07
I've been looking for some good editing apps for a while now, and I think I finally found one! I was thinking I was going to have to pay for most things, but as far as I know you can use most things for free! I might even just pay because I am in love with all of the different features on here!! 10/10 would recommend!!
Feel cheated
by Brendalovesbunnies on 2020/12/07 01:51
Downloaded this app. Thought it was free because no indication of cost was made. Once I got in couldn’t test without paying 19.99. Next thing I know they charged 31.00. No help. No tutorials. And I’m out 31.00.
Good At First! -And Then....
by -nature lover on 2020/11/29 23:50
Hello! I absolutely love this app and use it sooo much to edit my photos! Well... I used too. Until this happened: I was editing a photo, (like usual) and then I saved it. Sounds cool, right? Yes! So I went to make another (cuz it’s addicting) and it had a typed thingy on the screen that said: Xmas Exposer By Photofox; and there was nothing I could do to move it! I tried EVERYTHING! And it was in the way of my photo for NO REASON!!! So I just quit and started a new artwork. As soon as it uploaded... that thing was there again! I HATE IT! And so I quit and just got a different editing app. Problem solved! Though I do like yours much better, I wish I could make art and create stuff without that in my way. Thank you, #FoxInTheSnow
I don’t want to BUY ANYTHING
by nsa538 on 2020/11/29 09:57
Look I get why you want people to buy the filters, “Photofox pro” and all but I think it’s too much I mean I can’t do practically anything at all on all or your apps, so can you please have more filters and such to people that don’t want to buy them?
Would be a good app
by Olliecainer on 2020/11/28 04:36
I love this app. Don’t get me wrong. But it makes me really frustrated that I have to pay a ton of money if I want to save my photos. I understand having expensive subscriptions to use all the other features, but I shouldn’t have to pay so much money just to save photos. That said, if you do have that much extra money, I highly recommend this app. No idea what the developer response means. I’m still a little mad, but when I think about it, this app is probably meant for serious photo editors, maybe someone with a degree in photography, and I’m just some kid complaining about it. Actually, if your like me, you can’t try Artleap. It’s a little more limited, but the subscription is cheaper and saving is free.
Now I can’t use my own photos.
by Herschel on 2020/11/27 05:49
I only get one shot to add my photos when I start a project. After that, my photos refuse to pop up, even after clicking the “camera roll” thumbnail in the camera app when it opens. I’ve had to relaunch several times. This worked fine just last week.
don’t bother
by yrhdkshwbdlsbsnxoanwldhfb on 2020/11/25 20:48
not worth a subscription, it’s a mediocre editor for a phone but i originally bought it as a one time payment and now they changed it without making it any better and want to bill me monthly, dishonest business practice to switch now instead of making it a separate app or at least refunding people who already bought it as a single payment service and now can’t use it.
Bad app

Too many glitches and bugs
I don’t like the subscription
by Daniel Deluxe on 2020/11/22 22:18
I’d rather pay an upfront cost than pay a monthly or yearly subscription. A one and done payment option would be much appreciated. I used to own Enlight but it seems to have been removed from the App Store.
Not Astounding
by Wanting a refund! on 2020/11/19 19:37
This app is okay; everything works as it should. However, it is not worth nearly what you have to pay for it, as there are cheap and even free apps that can do just as much as this one. I don’t know who these people think they are, but the only reason they can afford ads everywhere is because they’re raking in money from dumb-dumbs like me who pay their outrageous prices in the hopes that it does more than other apps. It does not. Save your money - you’ll never use that one filter enough to justify the cost. The same goes for ALL of their other apps. These folks are ridiculously money-hungry.
Cool APP !

Can’t get a refund
by esabreen on 2020/11/15 03:47
I’ve had this app a long time. It was free to use. The other day, I went to it and clicked “Continue” and a pop-up message said it received my PURCHASE of $35.99 for a year. I did not want that. And even if you say insensitive comments like, “Well you should have paid more attention”, no...people make mistakes and you’re less than professional to expect anything else from human beings. I contacted Apple and have gotten no response. I went to the developer website and clicked on “Contact Us” and the next page said it couldn’t connect to the Apple store. I cannot afford this purchase that I didn’t intend to make, and I’m requesting a refund. Please let me know in a response how to go about it. I have cancelled the subscription, but it still will be active for a year. I don’t want that. I want it cancelled now. I really don’t want to take legal action.
Lies and Tricks?
by Santa Siever on 2020/11/12 01:34
Fantastic app, but total bait and switch. I paid $5.99 when the app first launched and won’t pay for it again. Just give me the original version I paid for. That is all I ask. This WAS a great app until they moved to the subscription model and no longer provide me with the version I had previously paid for. I get the subscription model pays for enhancements, bug fixes, patches, etc., but I don’t need them AND I can now, no longer save any work using this app. Again, Zero customer service because well... yay Internet.
Pretty good
by iwaw123 on 2020/11/11 12:04
Yeah Photofox is usually my go to editing app alongside Videoleap but they recently updated Photofox and now a bunch of the features that was originally free is now premium and can’t be accessed by free users. Kinda crappy if you ask me.
It okay
by Criket❤️Blur on 2020/11/09 07:44
So this app is okay, I absolutely HATE apps where you have to pay to have more stuff (except for WildCraft, I love it to much) I had it for months and never used it. Soooo Idk what to say..................ummmm get WildCraft. All I can think off.
Undo arrow freezes
by toddsmo on 2020/11/08 23:24
I was impressed until the undo arrow stopped working in two different sessions leaving me with an unusable image after spending several minutes working on it. If not for this problem I was anticipating giving a 4 star rating as the erase tool is very good at identifying edges even in some cluttered photos.
Love this
by ServantDaughter on 2020/11/01 09:49
I was so excited when finding out how to use the features. I’m still exploring. Love it so far. But I have a question. I put together a 2 minute video and posted it on social media. I assumed it was okay to use since I purchased it to use. I took it down until I get clarification. Are there copyright issues, or other infringements of some kind. I got challenged about it. It was all of your content that I bought. Video. Sound track. Music. From Videoleap, Lightricks. Need to know. Thanks.
Wow just wow
by UncappingPoem5 on 2020/10/29 05:17
This is by far one of the best editing apps I own I work almost every day on creating photos for my followers on Instagram and this app helps me a lot for almost a few months now I’ve been wanting to use the glitch effect on PicsArt but they charge $50 a year which is absolutely unacceptable But this app has it for free plus it doesn’t put a stupid watermark on it! 11/10
Used to be good
by The Evil Taco on 2020/10/28 23:22
This app used to be good. I remember when you can easily add new images from your album to create layers, and now they make it super hard to do so. 1 star for the changes
I previously payed full price for Enlight.
by Hutson g on 2020/10/26 19:09
A while back I bought your Enlight app. I was an amateur editor in highschool and wanted to make some interesting things. Now I knew the app would grow out of date what I didn’t expect was for you to strip me of the pro features I payed for on Enlight move them to this app and then say pay us monthly to use. You guys have some great features. But this whole concept of paying monthly to use this, I don’t like. Especially when I shelled out cash for the first version thinking it’s a one time payment.
Loved This App Before...
by Firefrank99 on 2020/10/23 13:32
This was a must have app for phones a couple years back, so I payed the premium to unlock all the features. Then the greedy developers took my money and made it a subscription model, So I payed for all the features just for them to lock it all again behind a subscription model. Everyone who already payed for your app should have premium for life, you robbed me.
Please add more customization!
by Patar7777777 on 2020/10/19 07:48
I’ll change my rate to 5 stars as soon as you let me choose a background photo for double exposure.

by joelortiz1600 on 2020/10/18 15:06
It’s funny the journey I went on with this company overall I like this app, but if you purchase the app or trying to do the free trial remember to cancel through the App Store Photofox will not be able to do it through there email just a warning. Overall good and I’ve enjoyed using it.
Great app but...
by VioletteRacheal on 2020/10/18 14:18
It never lets me put text to my photos. Ever. I can type the text out. But it never lets me hit the done button to apply it to the photo.

This app is 5 stars, The subscription thing is 1 star
by Uhhhmmmmm on 2020/10/11 00:37
There's a 4 pack bundle thing for this. I purchased it and it also says I have, and cannot write a review for it. I only get charged for this app every month. Not sure if this is apple or something janky with the service, but the other 3 are no longer prevalent or make sense to me what the bundle was for. Pros, fulfilling app and ergonomic to use. Cons, being limited to 10 layers, and the confusion of the subscription. Honestly wish this would just be a one time purchase, there's not a whole lot you can really currently add to it in my opinion.

Price
by Idky4 on 2020/10/02 21:26
Lightroom is free as mobile photoshop. The price keeps getting add ons. I would be okay with 4.99 tops and yet I’m paying $10 and some change and taxes state like 82 cents. Its 6.99 for basic and they add on $4 for what exactly?? I dont know. Saw it in my card charges and could not recall what i purchased for $10 on itunes recently and had to look it up. Ended up here. Debating if i should just stick to free photoshop and relearn it again on my end!!
Bait and Switch
by Paul Hatcherian on 2020/10/01 13:56

Amazing App, I Enjoy Using It, but 2 Things
by Play-On! on 2020/09/30 23:53
It has so many tools that you can use, most for free. I use it almost everyday to create image edits, but I have 2 things that I either can’t find, or aren’t here. 1. Add an option to Outline the Image I use this app to make thumbnails for YouTube, and usually add a white border to the image. The problem is, I erase the backgrounds and outline the main part of the image in White, but the only way to make an outline is by using the Brush tool. It works ok, but sometimes you zoom in and out a little and it comes out with inconsistent sized strokes. 2. Add an option to increase the pixels of an Image Sometimes while erasing parts of a image, the erasing is really bad and not close enough to what I need because the pixels of the original image aren’t 4K. When the quality is lower than 4K or even 1080p, it makes it so that erasing isn’t as exact. It should be possible to increase the amount of pixels.

by JonaBug on 2020/09/30 01:23

Perfect!
by photoeditor14 on 2020/09/13 02:51
This app is perfect! There are so many preset super cool filters to choose from, or you could do your own with a bunch of simpler filters. I’ve made a bunch of my own and have impressed family and friends. I was looking for a photo and/or video editing app for weeks, and in my search, I came across this app! You can pay to get even better filters and layers, but if you can’t, this app has so many different things to choose from anyway! I highly recommend you get this. Also, I have never written a review for an app before but this is just too good not to!

It gets very frustrating when you try to export out a photo and it doesn’t show up in the photo album. Not sure what exactly is going on at all but this is getting very annoying lately. Personally I do love the app so much when I want to make covers for books but just fix the one issue of not seeing exports in photos
Just Amazing
by wholetthishappen on 2020/09/10 03:16
I’ll be writing this review as, well basically a review of all of Lightricks Apps. They’re really just amazing. The level of customization you can get even for unpaid versions of all of these apps are just amazing. For Photofox, it is the constraints of the unpaid version that give you even more power, as you need to work around them and innovate and be creative to make the adjustments you need. The ability to make PNG’s yourself by cutting out backgrounds with the erase tool is worth the price of admission itself. I would absolutely, positively purchase the full version for an indefinite period of time if I could, money is just kind of tight right now, as it is with a lot of people. To the developers, thank you so much for making this amazing series of apps available to the public. We all love you.

I have used Enlight for years now, I actually bought the original app because I want it add captions to my pics.. and it’s great for that.. now that they have changed their design language the charge for use.. I still own the older app but have lost the ability to add text captions to my photos this is so lame.. please leave this feature alone I’m just fine with the app I purchased and would like to use the features I paid for.. now I have to find something else to use so disappointed with the way money drives these companies pay for use, it started so very simple now it’s completely complicated 🤔...
Maybe I’m being too harsh but hear me out!
by Rogrrabbbit on 2020/09/09 07:04
There’s nothing this app can do that their previous APP wasn’t able to do. Hold on! Let me take that back! Yes there is! After you’ve expired your 6 months of whatever they feel they’ve given you extra and they put you back on the (free wagon) you’ll loose all the advantages you would’ve normally gotten in their original (Enlight) App. This app is really the exact same app as Enlight with the exception that they’re trying to survive on the monthly subscription residuals. Oh? And screw those who paid for the premium App they’re just going to discontinue. They didn’t need to remake a new app, unless of course the only way they can force you to change is to cancel the old one and turn this junk into a monthly or yearly subscription. (Which is exactly what they did). I won’t upgrade after the 6 months. And if they discontinue their support for Enlight? I suppose they won’t even notice that they’ve lost one single customer. But I refuse to fall for their bait! As far as the APP is concerned? The automated filters hardly ever work with the picture you load. They dumbed the app down. Made it worse and it’s no longer a creative app. No thanks
Frustrating
by meladra on 2020/09/08 17:36
This used to be a fantastic app that I used all the time. Then I come back after an update, and I can hardly use it as they’ve moved all the features and tools around. Can’t find the targeted features/selection tool. It’s just frustrating that they get the need to fix something that’s broken, without considering continuity of user experience.
Ridiculous subscription

It’s not my favorite anymore
by SpikeGonzo on 2020/09/06 17:36
I am proud owner of Enlight app as I paid 4.99 several years ago and it was my number one favorite editing app. Until they stopped and changed to photofox which requires subscription or lifetime which is VERY expensive. I felt they robbed my app I loved and forced me to move to photofox. You lost my respect. Why did you rob my money and force me to pay more for subscription or lifetime what kind of quality of service I does get. You are the worst company to rob more money!

by tyanide2013 on 2020/09/03 18:24
I purchased the original Enlight app for $10 four years ago. I still have that downloaded on my phone so that I can edit photos. Now that app is not supported and faulty and have the input commands don’t register. So I was frustrated and downloaded this one to find out that I have to pay a sub for 1/4 of the features? Yeah, deleting both apps. Find something else.
DONT PAY FOR THIS APP THEY’LL STEAL YOUR MONEY
by Gwp8106 on 2020/09/02 23:32
I purchased the equivalent of the “pro” version when this app was named Enlight. I don’t use it often, but I do use it and love the features so much that I actually paid for the pro version. I recently updated my phone (new iPhone) with a better camera, and wanted to do some editing to my photos...turns out, not only does the Enlight version that I PAID for not work, but now I was forced to update the app this version and I don’t have any of the features available that I had on my previously paid version. They changed the name and changed the design of the app, and now the people who previously gave them money have no access to their “new” app that replaced the old one. Charge money > Create New App > Charge money again.....phenomenal business tactic. Wow.
Bug
by CJ Straub on 2020/08/31 19:34
When I use the text mode and type something in, it won’t let me click done. Love the app. Just found this bug.
Very disappointing
by barnaclejafee on 2020/08/29 21:45
Liked it at first enough to try full version for a month, and now very glad I didn’t buy the full app. There’s a limit to the number of layers apparently though I swear I saw “unlimited layers” in the banner advertising subscriptions. Maybe some users are fine with a few layers but this is only useful to me without layer limits. Tried looking for help and contacting support but you can’t hit send on the contact us option. So far, terrible support and will probably delete unless I can figure out how to make this app work for me but either way, it should be easier to figure out what’s going on.
Complete trash for 70$
by Djskyryn on 2020/08/27 17:27
Do not buy this. It’s a rip off when real programs that are both cell phone and lap top compatible are half the price and work for both devices. If this product was 20$ it would be a huge hit. The fact that it’s 70$ during a pandemic should disgust you. I highly recommend not support g this company.
SO GOOD

One Star since you ruined Enlight
by PleasantCow on 2020/08/18 22:28
Where can I add text to images here? I can’t. I could on the Enlight app. But now when you hit “Done” nothing happens at all and you have to kill the app. So, one star. I’ll change it when you fix it.
Awesome! I have suggestion...

Why does everything come to money?
by Review Leaver 23 on 2020/08/14 15:11
I bought this app a few years ago, just for fun to play with. They ended up having photofox only instead of enlight. But now features I had that I PAID for, I now have to pay more for them. It’s sad because I really enjoyed the app, but I’ll just uninstall it. At least other companies keep their legacy customers happy.
Amazing company!!

MAKES YOU PAY FOR SUBSCRIPTION YOU DIDNT AGREE TO
by 17484995 on 2020/08/11 20:08
This is unacceptable. I NEVER EVER AGREED to a subscription only to find out they have signed me up and we’re charging me. I literally downloaded the app after seeing an ad and HADN’T EVEN OPENED IT YET. I have no idea how this is legal but it’s incredibly violating. Unbelievable.
I used to love them until they changed their ownership and now i have too many issues
by TNT 620 on 2020/08/11 01:21
I used to love them until they changed their ownership away from ENlight and now i have too many issues. Last year they would have gotten 5 stars but as of lately, I’m having issues download files, being able to open files from other programs directly too it without launching the app first. None of this was happening before. Same with videoleap , Pixaloop, and Quickshot. Y’all changed the name, and everything has started acting up. Can’t uninstall and re-intall to potentially solve the problem, cause that is another issue, you can’t save files and transfer devices with edited pictures without saving them as the final shot to your own photo album. When I upgraded my ipad I lost everything . This is a big problem especially for video editing, that i hope they fix cause this is such a great editing app.
Almost
by Dj Ed Nine on 2020/08/10 05:12
This app is amazing but still upset i paid $70 for the full version a few years ago and still no circle crop, ability to turn off snap feature at certain points, and can not load photos directly from files app or cloud of choice. Your able to load photo AND video from files app in video leap which is probably one of the biggest features for me at least. I’m sure that can be done with photofox. Would also be nice to be able to add text box shapes.
HOW DO I SAVE A PHOTO-
by A-N-O-N-Y-M-O-U-S-S-S on 2020/08/09 14:57
Ok so, I can’t save my projects to my camera roll. Like I love the app, BUT I CANT SAVE IT. Edit: You do realize I need to get pro to do that right? And I can’t afford that- Double edit: I love this app, I do, but I wish I could see what was pro and what wasn’t. Besides that, I received an email explaining why I couldn’t save it, and I love the app.
Do Not Download!!!
by XCODEZ on 2020/08/07 07:28
They use a .gif so you think there is animation but it’s just filter and photo alterations. And the “free” trial comes with $8 price tag. Even if you cancel right after downloading. How did this get into the Apple store. This is malicious.
Disappointment
by Shmichael. on 2020/08/06 03:54
208+ mb and it won’t let you blend your own pics. Only allows you to pick the subject picture and then use stock overlays. That’s just one example of the canned nature of this app. Disappointed and deleting.

Rip off
by Sephiroth726 on 2020/08/01 03:06
They basically disable Enlight and get you to BUY this as a upgrade, THEN to use 3/4 of the effects they want you to to pay a monthly subscription... It’s a rip off. It’s a dirty thing to do IMO.
Tools missing
by KBN2010 on 2020/07/30 17:16
I have an IG that I use this app to draw on my photos for and I updated and find half the tools I use are gone. What happened to the text & shapes & stickers tools? I paid for the monthly subscription and if only unlocked basic tools that I can get in FaceTune. Not worth it and cancelled my subscription. 😒
Do yourself a favor and get this app!
by FutureJoe on 2020/07/30 05:47
If you have even the slightest bit of creative inclination then you really owe it to yourself to get this app. Trust me, as someone who had never used any sort of Photoshop program before, I downloaded this app expecting to play around with it for maybe an hour, get frustrated and give up but here I am four months later and I find myself spending 4 to 6 hours a night hunched over my iPad making pictures. Photofox is so easy to use and just incredibly fun and satisfying as well! I really could not be a bigger fan!

Paid for app and features have been stripped
by SuperMario702 on 2020/07/29 01:39
I bought this app and used it extensively for editing on mobile. Broke my phone, backed up, updated and went to put Enlight back on my phone. It’s gone from the App Store as it was. It’s been turned to this and features were stripped from it. They went the dark side to monthly payments. Now, the app I paid for is gone for good.
Won’t support Enlight
by Erica2728 on 2020/07/28 13:27
If we want to continue editing photos through this company’s apps, they are forcing us to download and PAY a large YEARLY fee for this app because they will no longer be supporting the Enlight app I paid $4.99 for. Do they won’t support me, I won’t support them. Don’t buy this, in a few years they’ll force you to pay for another new app and the cost will skyrocket.
Really ?
by Fanojano83 on 2020/07/27 19:16
I used this app for a while, got super familiar with it. And then it became about money, subscriptions now? I’m trying to find a new app to use to replace this one. I have no problem with paying for an app. If it’s worth the buy, But a subscription tho? Just disappointed......
Scam
by #imjusme on 2020/07/26 03:17
I think this app and the developers are stupid. I saw it on Facebook so I thought I would look at it and see what’s up and soon as I downloaded it first thing it did is ask me to pay for it why would I pay for something I haven’t even been able to try. I think it’s a cash grab and you guys should be a shamed of yourselves...
Amazing customer service and app!

I had issues with my subscription and they were pleasant through the whole process in fixing the issue. They were very patient with me and I appreciate that. Aside from that the app is amazing. I cancelled my subscriptions to several apps because this one does everything I need all in one app. I get compliments on my work when using the app.

I guess I misread something, I thought this was a free app with the option to buy access to exclusive stuff, but it absolutely is NOT free. Last year, or little bit longer, I edited my review from positive to negative because the update changed a lot of feature I got very comfortable with. Realistically, I was getting upset about something I could’ve gotten used to…and I have. Not to mention during the time I was undergoing a lot of stress, but thankfully it was short lived. This app is the absolute best for creating and editing photos, no other app does it better. It helped me make some REALLY impressive pictures I never would’ve thought I could make without this app. Sometimes I just make a picture for no real purpose other than to see if I can actually make it. I feel like with this app I’ve peaked at my editing skills; I started with a simple eraser app to this absolutely brilliant piece of art making genius. This review may sound a bit pretentious or exaggerated, but that’s how I feel about this app. People can definitely make pictures they couldn’t have been able to before and now I’m grateful that it exists.
THE photo editor for iPhone
by ThePoillon on 2018/07/27 22:38
I've owned several dozen apps for photography, but this is the one I always, *ALWAYS*, come back to. I wish I could put examples up on here of before and after images, but suffice it to say it can transform even the blandest image I've taken by mistake with the camera app open into an image worthy of wall space. I rarely review apps and even rarer still recommend apps, so I hope it speaks loudly enough to it's abilities when I say that I've got a bachelor of fine art with a concentration in photography, and I've had work displayed in two Smithsonian Museums as well as the SF Museum of Modern Art...and this is the app I'd give up all other 3rd party photo apps to keep. It really is nothing short of brilliant, and while most apps are limited by a users' imagination, I've found that this gem is powerful enough to greatly expand even that.
Cash grab that isn’t even compatible with the previous version
by Lohla Lohla on 2019/10/13 13:49
It’s clear that the Enlight team puts a lot of work into making some of the best editing software for phones, but I feel like they did not do a lot of market research into how most users are using their software. The original app was one of the best and most robust apps for quick editing and retouching, as well as making simple macros — which is how I’ve mainly used it. Just downloaded photofox and it’s clear there’s a lot more power here but the UI is grating and not intuitive. For example — I’m trying to zoom on a single layer to use a brush. It keeps RESIZING THE WHOLE LAYER. I can’t lock it, so I can’t get precise detail working on the image. I’m not spending 15 more minutes figuring it out because that’s not what I used enlight for. It’s not photoshop — I don’t want to take a tutorial, I want to quickly edit something. Needs a lot of work especially since they’re asking for a sizable subscription. I have no confidence buying it outright since I know they’ll just drop support for a prior app that users paid for once they’re done with it and want to get some more cash flowing.
No thanks
Aggravated that I’m being forced to switch from Enlight OG
by Cyntrifical on 2019/11/20 00:49
I’m sure Enlight Photofox is great and all, but I enjoyed the original Enlight and back then I could just use it after paying $4.99 and that was that. Now they will be dropping support and removing it from the appstore so if i have to reset my phone I lose an app I paid $4.99 for and now like most developers in this age of micro transactions its subscription only so how is that a fair trade? If I’m being strongarmed to eventually upgrade then as a previously paid customer either the pro features should be free or at the bare minimum the subscription HEAVILY reduced. I love Lighttricks apps, don’t get me wrong, but I’m feeling a bit screwed over and gonna get ripped off for $4.99 in the end. If this is the common business practice these days there’s always more reasonable apps to switch to with a one time paid price. I get the whole “subscriptions incentivize new features” thing but what was included with enlight version 1 should be made available to users like me and any extra features I could buy in app as a add on...
Was great until asked to buy again
by homegrownhunting on 2018/04/27 18:28
Loved the app. I’ve used it for a couple of years. People like me who bought it when it was getting on its feet are the backbone of the app. Now I’m being asked to subscribe in order to use new updates and some features that I have always used aren’t available unless I subscribe or pay a one time fee. I feel I was duped and tricked. How can you sell someone an app , the paid full version, and turn around a couple years later and ask them to pay more money (actually an absurd amount for what other apps are now offering for free). This is the first review I’ve ever wrote because I generally don’t rock the boat, but this is completely unfair. Shame on you for taking my money so the app could grow and then take away what I paid for to start with and ask for more money for the initial features and future features. I’m sure I’ll get a response of “we’re sorry you feel this way.” When the response should be “Thank you for buying our app and your account is now open for you to enjoy all our features because if it weren’t for people like you who backed us when we were small , we would have never gotten off the ground.”
Good to Bad
by Juliuskempster on 2020/02/23 04:58
I started using this app before it’s drastic update, and it’s pricing variant came about; I used it for everything under the sun. While it was free, I grew very comfortable with what was being offered to me, I knew the ins and the outs, and without a doubt I’d finish in 10 minutes or less by simple proficiency. Now that it’s been changed and revised for a ‘smarter’ use, and everything I once used for free became “you must pay to use”, I didn’t find much drive for it. If it was the same app and I had to pay from the start, maybe, sure I don’t see why not. The changes aren’t in favor for me, and honestly I use it far less frequently than Photoshop on mobile. I wish it was the same app, but it isn’t. I’d give 5 stars, but perhaps if you didn’t turn what was once free into a must pay to use what we gave to you once before freely kind of app, I’d have an incline to return. We all must make money, I understand that. But taking things given for free and then making us buy what was given to us isn’t the path to go. Many new users wouldn’t understand that, but I know.
App Update Problems
by **Randa** on 2019/10/24 01:19
So I use this app a lot with my Page I manage and it helps out a lot! It is one of my favorite apps out of all of them! But since the new update I am unable to Text and press the done buttons! When I go in to edit, it lets me type but it will not let me push the done button and go back to the picture to finish the project! I am extremely disappointed because this is the only editing app I use and I feel I am going to have to download a new one to use! I’m not a fan of the other ones because this one has more I can do with it and I also know this app better than the rest, which makes it easier and quicker for me to finish my project! Please help me figure out this problem and get it resolved so I don’t have to download and learn a whole new app! Other than that this app has been great and easy to use! If I could just figure out what is going on I will continue to use this one!
SOMETHING's WRONG.. (UPDATED)
by FrigidValley on 2020/04/05 22:02
So, I subscribe to their One-Time Purchase (since I'm a long live Enlight user before Photofox arrived), and for me this app is such a mess. Here's why: 1. With the updated version, I'm no longer be able to transform Elements (ex: transform circle into oval, etc, since there's only 2 options which is flipping and rotate). There's no corner points, just like to transform a photo. (Update: to transform the elements, you must convert the elements to be a photo, I think its not a pretty clean process 😅) 2. IT IS A SCAM!. When you use "One-Time Purchase" as a term, it means that I pay to use this app with unlimited access for lifetime. But your app tells me that all the access only available for 10 years. Is that means I should pay again after 10 years?. New Update: I'll give this app a 5 star, if they can resolve the second problem, to make sure that Its not a scam for everyone. Take a note that I've paid the full version of Videoleap, and there's no problem from its end. (Yeah I'm that Mobile Creator, sorry 😅).

Upset about the Update, can’t start from blank canvas
by T-Real33 on 2018/11/11 01:10
I use Photofox for more than just photo editing and I personally believe it is the best app on the market for editing. I don’t like the fact that in the update I can’t start a new project with a blank canvas instead I have to start with a picture and then go Darkroom settings and alter the Offset setting just to make a white or black canvas. That’s very annoying. It seems like you reverted that part to the basic Enlight app settings and I don’t appreciate it. I feel like your trying too hard be a photo editing app when you can just be an overall editing and graphic design app. Don’t try and please people by taking away parts of the app that make it unique. Please add back the feature where I could start a project with a blank canvas and choose the size of that canvas. SMH.
Exactly what I was looking for
by ChiroBat on 2018/12/29 22:25
All the other phone photo editors I could find before were very limited in what they could do. Just preset filters with stickers and minimal effects. When I found this app, I was skeptical to be sure, but hopeful. To my upmost delight, it has layers...and masks, even without paying a cent! There’s a decent amount of things you can do, but like all good programs, it’s better if you pay, and I definitely appreciate that there’s different plans to fit different budgets. However, there’s probably no need to pay if you’ll only be using it casually. There’s still plenty to do without it. I’ve only started to dabble in the possibilities, and I’m excited for what I can make. It’s no desktop photoshop, but it’s the best program I’ve been able to find for iPhone, and I plan on using it for years to come.
Almost Pro
by Abutting query on 2018/03/06 19:58
It's a great app, I use it all the time for serious graphic design work on the go. But it's missing a few key features I'd really love to see. Guys, can you please give us the ability to turn snapping on and off?!? Can't tell you how much time I've spent wrestling against the snapping feature try to place a layer where I want it to go. Seems ridiculous it's still not an option. Have you tried your own app? Because I can't imagine using the app even once without experiencing the frustration I'm referring to. Also, it's missing some important blend modes like linear burn, add (although plus lighten comes close, misses sometimes), linear light, difference and exclusion. And although the heal tool works great most of the time, it won't work on any surface that's pure black. This aspect of the tool is more limiting than enabling, though I get why they did it this way. Maybe an additional stamp/clone tool to compensate would be in order? Also, the "urban" art feature is cool, except all the background images are in lo-res. C'mon guys, really ?? Very least it should be possible to import your own hi-res images to be used as the background. Lastly, you should be able to use a layer as a mask, or even import a photo that's converted to b&w and used as mask, the way "Union" by Pixite does it. Add these features and it's the perfect platform worthy of any price!!
Pathetic

I bought the old enlight app and loved it, I was on it all the time so to see a perfectly good app get taken down made me curious so I got this one and everything seemed all well and good until i started trying to add multiple layers of pictures and text and I was very disappointed to find that the only way I could do this was to buy the pro version. Now me being a 16 year old kid doesn’t want to pay something like $70 dollars for the pro version when previously I had an app that I had no complaints about. It’s honestly sad to see companies get this money hungry, I have already payed for the first app and can’t use it not even knowing if I got a refund for it or not, now I have to put up this this app that will charge me every time I click a button. I think it’s pretty unfair that I was forced to switch apps and then pay an insane amount of money for something that I already bought in the first place. Although nobody will probably see this and I know this won’t make a difference I had to vent somehow so thank you,
Brilliant and yes, the Heal Tool works brilliantly as well!

I am a medical doctor and have no relationship with and have never met anyone associated with PhotoFox. PhotoFox is about as significant as Photoshop and easier to use. If new user follows the tutorials, they will become proficient in the use of PhotoFox very quickly! As a graphic hobbyist, I am as enthusiastic about PhotoFox as I was when I first learned to use it. I highly recommend PhotoFox Pro as it uses layers to alter photos and drawing to create beautiful photo projects. It is these layers that make PhotoFox-Pro an extremely powerful in the world of photo manipulation. I say this as an owner of every other photo manipulation software out there (Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Polarr, Pixelmator, DTF... you name it I have it.) Enlight PhotoFox and PhotoFox Pro are the ones that I use 98% of the time. You are missing out out if you haven’t used PhotoFox. I love it!
Takes up a lot of memory if not Careful
by Jessclay1983 on 2018/05/04 14:25
Love this app! I use it just as a simple photo editor. I haven’t got into much of the combing photos together features, etc so this is really just for editing basics. I did notice my phone memory was very low and couldn’t figure out why. Comes to find out each project you open in Photofox is Saved in the app. I had 670 projects saved in the app- after I also saved each individual photo on my phone. Photofox doesn’t have a way to multi select projects and delete in bulk so I had to individually delete each of the 670 projects one at a time. It would be great if you could add a feature to multi select those projects and delete. After deleting each project I added 50% of memory back to my phone. So it does take up a ton of space if you don’t remember to delete the projects when you’re done. Other than that, I love it 😊
Just Amazing
by wholetthishappen on 2020/09/10 03:16
I’ll be writing this review as, well basically a review of all of Lightricks Apps.

I love this app, it’s the best, best photo app I have ever used and have had but I want to use a lot of the stuff you can use but u have to get the pro or whatever it’s called to have all the editing buttons, so I was like ok I’m going to upgrade my app to have all the stuff and then I saw how much money it is!!!!!😵😵😵😵😵🤯🤯 for a photo editing app!!!!! I get it this app is so great but if u changed it to where u can get it all for 5 bucks, more people and I would definitely would upgrade this app, but if all u want is money 🤑 that much money then no thanks I will just keep my little bit of editing buttons but over all it’s great but I would definitely change the fact of how much money🤑🤑 u want from us to upgrade this app, that’s the only reason I gave it a 4 but if u change that one thing about money, it would definitely be a 5 or even higher
Update?

This was* my favorite app, I used it for everything. I paid $4.99 for it at the time of download and had access to everything. Then out of nowhere I get some notification that they’re changing it to this, Enlight Photofox, and that the original Enlight is being removed from the App Store. The new app is priced at $7.99 a month. I can’t even use the old app because it barely works anymore. I’m really disappointed because this isn’t what I signed up for. I would’ve really supported this company had i not felt a little ripped off. Good thing is that the free version includes MOST of the same features as the old version. You can use the other features in different apps that don’t charge monthly, it’s just disappointing to have to pay a subscription price after the $4.99 and using the app, suddenly for it to be revoked. Otherwise, Enlight was a great app and this one has most of the same features.
OMG Help pleaseee
by trish.hannah on 2019/12/23 00:15
I was literally just looking at this app and then the app combo popped up which I thought meant u can just click once to download all 4 apps instead of clicking download 4 different times. So I click the “get” button so I can download and preview the apps to see if I like them and all of a sudden after they have downloaded, it says PURCHASED!! What???!! How did that happen? And that was not my intention. While I would love to have these apps and I’m sure they’re lovely, I don’t have the money at the moment for this. I’m not even going to open these apps bc I need help to resolve and fix this situation I’m in. It all happened so fast- and I don’t even know what happened or how this happened. Help me please! (I’m new to iPhone and this is my first apple product- I’m still trying to learn it) 😫😭😭🥺
THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL APP!
by awesomekid88349 on 2019/01/05 19:19
THANK YOU SO MUCH! This app is the best photo editing app I have ever used... No watermark (That’s a big thing for me cause it drives me NUTS when an app is cool but they have a huge watermark and you have to pay tons of money to get it removed), WONDERFUL blending and other options even without Pro, not saying you shouldn’t get Pro, it has MANY other amazing features!, and it’s just the best. I DEFINITELY give this app 5 stars! It’s so awesome- especially the competitions! THANKS YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Keep on making AWESOME apps just like this one! This is good that I am actually convinced I should get the Pro! If apps ask “Pay to remove watermark” and all other stuff... I just delete the app. I don’t want to waste my money. But this app... My money will be worth it! Thank you again, wonderful creator(s) of this app!
Solid as it gets
by Steve Boerner on 2018/05/30 23:33
Anyone who gave a bad review only complains about the price. They never complain about the app’s functionality, features, or anything other than the $4/month Pro version. Let me tell you this, those reviewers are poor saps who want everything for nothing. These reviewers are fools and tools. For what you can do, in terms of editing features, for such a small price, and short learning curve, this app is by far the best I’ve used. I also love the Facebook private community and outreach campaign the company stirs up via their social marketing. For $4 bucks a month I get the most out of it. If you’re looking to edit just a couple images for a lame IG account, then get something else. For real professionals, amateurs, and editing enthusiasts, this is the rockstar of apps.
Research
by ursoc brew on 2017/12/29 10:31
So I looked up 1 time purchase for the best of the best being adobe (actually ranked 2; but can be used on multi platforms so that’s number 1 to me) which is $699 following the same model as lighttricks; a subscription to keep a low price which was aimed at students. After seeing this my previous thoughts of cash grab was altered; due to that I don’t have powerful computer just a iPad 2017 model; price seems fair cause I can produce great results. - 1 star support link goes to void and can’t animate a session but you can Enlight 1? And remember lady and gents companies pay other companies to inflate their ratings due to this and actual people don’t take the time to learn the product; you have to take the time and do research and come to your own conclusion.
Hate it.
by Z Becker on 2020/03/03 04:52
I have been using the original Enlight App for a long time and I love it. Then one day I get a message saying they are no longer going to support the product I paid for and that i need to switch to their much more expensive app. I finally decided to shell out the cash and after a couple days using the new App, I hate it. The UI on the older app was much more intuitive. It was easy to explore and simple to make quick changes yet powerful enough to perform complex edits when required. Granted the new app has more options but it is not nearly as easy to use. Also, the new app deletes the photo EXIF data. This is unacceptable and makes it completely useless for what I need. In speaking with customer service they advised they had to get rid of the original EXIF data due to issues with the new iPad OS. This is not true since i have other photo editors (Affinity for one) that retain the original EXIF data after an edit. Thank you Apple for giving my money back.

The Enlight team sells you an app, they then update the app making your previous purchase obsolete. You must purchase again to use an app you already paid for. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 Enlight Teams response: Thanks for following up and for clarifying. We would like to explain. After the update for iOS 13 Enlight is no longer supported and this is likely what is causing the issue you are experiencing with the app. While it is possible to reinstall the app, coming changes to iOS will affect its functionality and there's not much we can do about this, unfortunately. We have included an in-app message explaining this over the past few months, apologies if it wasn't clear. If you’re looking for the same photo editing functionality you had in Enlight, we would recommend you check out Enlight Photofox. Photofox is the next generation of Enlight, it is free to download and comes with many of the Enlight tools, as well as tons of new tools and functionality. Photofox also includes Pro tools that require making a purchase, but this is completely optional and up to you. In addition, if you purchased Enlight and still have an iOS device, you can access Photofox Pro for 6 months, on us! If you need help redeeming this offer, please let us know. Our sincere apologies again. If you need any assistance on how to use Photofox or redeeming the offer, please reach out to us. We are here to help.
BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by MidnightHowl2437 on 2019/02/28 03:26
You do not have to pay to get in and most of the stuff is not pro and almost no adds!!!!!!! You can save to camera roll for free and without adds. It gives a free tutorial!!!!!! It is my new favorite game!!!!!! Make sure to download this app!!!!! If you did not ir missing out on a lot, and you can barely edit ur photos. But if you download this app you are complete, and you can easily edit ur photos with just a couple of clicks!!! The best part is it is free and you don’t have a time limit for long you do it! And also you can use your photos, take photos, or use the web for photos!!!!! And I can not find one bad thing to say about this app!!!!!
Old Enlight was better
by MissIndependent58 on 2019/11/21 17:11
As many others have said, I was using Enlight religiously for several years and it worked perfectly for all of my needs. As minor as it is, it’s one of the only places I can intentionally invert colors as a filter. I downloaded the app again after maybe a few months of not using it only to find the UI changed so much I no longer knew where to access any features and the ones I needed were now listed as paid for features. Even if some features had been locked, I could have maybe swallowed that pill if it was the same familiar Enlight app that I had been using for years and knew my way around. However having to basically pay for a complete different app that doesn’t even fulfill my needs anymore? It’s not happening. I’ll find a different app if I must, but I deeply regret that I’ll no longer be able to use the familiar Enlight app I’ve been loyal to for years.
Love it but wish it had more
by lordtay002 on 2019/06/30 12:35
To me this is the best photoshop alternative that’s simple but has almost have all the features I need. One being I wish we could rename photos when I save it to the cloud but it’s just one extra step so that’s not huge. Another one is creating different size documents, I’m willing to pay extra for that feature. A 3rd feature, but I can see how it won’t be and I sorta found a way to work around it, is to save it other than a png, particularly as a tiff (in high quality) and or eps due to the layers and I can work on it later on the desktop if needed. Again I’m willing to pay more for that last feature, but other than that this app is amazing and prefer it over affinity and Pixelmator.
Best creative app I’ve found.
by 1BustedFlush on 2018/05/13 07:20
Photofox is a great tool for enhancing photos, as good as any out there but where it really shines is when you want to do more. I work in photoshop professionally and wanted to find a app for IPhone that would allow me to work on photos and graphics in a similar way. After trying several others I downloaded Photofox’s free version. I couldn’t believe what ‘free version’ of Photofox could do but when I upgraded to the paid version I was amazed. From photo enhancing, to making memes, to creating works of art, Photofox far exceeded my expectations especially at the price. I don’t mean to say it is an equal to Photoshop’s but with multiple layers, an eraser tool , prebuilt effects, lots of presets, a title tool and a little creativity you can do a lot.
DO NOT GET THIS APP! Impossible to cancel
by Korismartysmart on 2019/12/08 16:57
I subscribed to this app and it took three months to cancel it. Each month I had to call apple directly to have them cancel it, and yet the subscription kept on charging my account. They are, quite simply, operating illegally. I have a screen shot of 2 separate months where it said “expired subscription” on my subscription file on my phone, while receiving a simultaneous bill saying “renewed subscription” on my billing invoice. I had to call Apple ID people, and both times they said that because it said “expires on —— date” it will automatically cancel. This is false because each month I would get a receipt where it says “renews on —— date”. This process was infuriating and after three months of this in a row, I finally spent 45 minutes with a supervisor at APPLE ID to cancel it manually. A few cool pictures are NOT worth the trouble.
Just buy the $3.99 original Enlight. Do not pay for this
by Gghdghfehjfdchy on 2019/02/15 22:53
I loved the original app and how affordable it was for the price. It had a lot a features that I personally used. But then they added this app. Which essentially has the same features as the original, they just removed most of them for free users. I was happily ready to pay the full price, but then I saw that the price is absurd for what is a really basic photo editor. $70 for the one time fee! That’s $76 more just for little more features than what the original had. For crying out loud it’s a basic photo editor. You can get Affinity Photo, which has many many more features than Photofox, I think it is the photo editor with the most features on iPad, and is only $20. I think I’ll stick with the original, thank you.
I love the original app.
by Olai Black on 2019/09/29 20:55
I’ve checked out Photofox, and it’s just way more than I need. I’ve been using your original app for years. It’s the perfect basic editor. I use the mixer to quickly overlay something. I love the filters, and I find it smooth and intuitive. I’d be. We happy to pay a modest subscription fee to keep it. I’ve tried the new apps, and they’re amazing. That being said, they’re way more than I need and much more money than I want to spend. I’d be very happy to spend a few dollars a month for the original app. I hope you keep supporting it. Many thanks. PS: my five star review is for the original Enlight.
Great Photo App but too expensive
by Makidigital on 2018/03/31 08:40
This app would get 5 stars if the buy to own price weren’t so steep. $60 to own is a bit over the top. I really want to unlock it’s full potential because I could see this being my new “Everything” photo edit app but not for $60. Im checking here and there to see if they put the one time purchase fee on 1/2 off sale like they do the annual price because $30 I could justify spending but not $60. I’m not saying it’s not worth $60..the polish of this app alone is top notch but $30-$40 is usually the price for a decent non-pro photo editing suite so I compare it to that. Until then I’m still using my other photo app that I won’t mention because that’s rude to push a competitor’s app in another app review.
Cumbersome at first
by Slt1054 on 2020/04/13 03:57
The original Enlight was the perfect photo editing app for me. It was streamlined and I was able to collage and add text, something extremely important to me for social media with my job. This new app was cumbersome for me to use at first but I eventually got used to it and learned my way around it. Unfortunately it’s simply not a very practical app anymore. I really miss the collage feature because no other collage apps really satisfy me like the old Enlight did. If they simply brought back collage options and the more practical features of the original Enlight and attempted to make it less unwieldy, I’d feel like this app was really worth it for me. But all in all, it’s been disappointing after losing an app I loved and used so much.
Truly Awesome!
by jaysnuh on 2019/01/24 20:14
I have been using this app for only a few days, but I LOVE IT! As an amateur photographer and photo editor, I love that it’s so easy to use! The fact that is has a huge library of beautiful photos is wonderful too. The only complaint I might have is that you can only use two layers per project if you don’t have Enlight Photofox Pro. I would really appreciate it if we could have just one or two more layers to work with without having the subscription. It can get a bit frustrating to only have two to work with when you’re a broke student with a big goal. Anyway, truth be told, I have never had more fun editing and creating photos, and I really love this app. I recommend it to all! ☺️
Wrong Pricing Model
by topspinguy on 2017/10/01 17:36
Yes, the app is good, but I'm ready to cancel my subscription as soon as my 3 free months come to an end. I am not cheap. I've purchased literally almost every photo and graphics app for iOS, but I cannot support the hefty subscription model, or the overpriced one-time purchase price. There are many one-time purchase price points between $0 and $40 that would be much more appropriate and would at the same time expand your happy user base. Would I pay $10? Absolutely. Would I pay $15? I likely would. Would I pay $20 one time? I likely would, but I believe that would be the upper limit for an app in this category. It's fun and creative, but not necessary nor life saving. I would rather you revise your one time purchase price now, rather than wait until you have alienated and burned through your entire existing customer base. Just my 2¢.
Ridiculous
by NickE7373 on 2019/10/07 22:37
I purchased the original Enlight a few years ago. It was Ana amazing app until it stopped working today and crashed every time I tried to do anything on it. I figured I would just delete the app and redownload it. No big deal. Come to find out you can’t redownload the old app and now I have lost hundreds of photos I have saved and edited over the years. As if that wasn’t bad enough, now my original purchase is completely null and void. If you have the old app- save all of your saved and unsaved photos to your photos on your phone before you change apps because they do not carry over. I will not be purchasing the new app and I sure feel scammed that the original $15 I spent on the app is gone now unless I want to pay $80. Ridiculous business model. I’d love my money back for the app I can no longer use
Bad update: Not intuitive, cash grab—DELETING
by T_Biscuit on 2020/04/24 00:17
TL;DR review: Long time Enlight user. This new update is not intuitive. None of the features work the way they used to. The worst: Features I used heavily in the past are only available if I pay. Addition of layers is genius but not worth the above drawbacks. I’ve used Enlight for the past two years and loved the free version. Then the other day I started having problems with various features. So I decided to delete and re-download. The only similar download to the older version was this one. Immediately it was clear we weren’t in Kansas anymore, Toto. None of the features operate the way they used to. None of it is intuitive. Then when I went to use several of the features I used the most, I was taken to a pay screen. 🤦🏼‍♂️I can understand if they added new features and wanted to charge for them, or maybe charge for the layers feature. But to try to charge me for something I used to use freely is a deal breaker. The addition of the layers feature seems to be the only positive in this new version. All of this adds up to an app that will take up storage space and not get used, so I’m deleting it. Let us know if things change! 👋🏼
Needs 2 improvments.
by imsosorryandilikelikeyouthanks on 2019/04/21 16:24
Hi, I find this app very cool. Its just that things are kinda expensive. Like the ‘Pro’. I don’t know how to use much of the tools very well, so I wish you could explain every tool? I also wish there were a little more pictures in stock, I enjoy the app because I make really cute art on it, but I wish you could just fix these little things in the app. Please also respownd! But when i frist got this i thoght it was like you make a people and play games but i was worng,Now that i have been playing this game so much i love this game im like the best pro EVER,Thank you for making this game i love it,Also Please Respownd!
Disappointed with the “upgrade”
by Errkaderrka6415 on 2019/10/11 17:13
With Enlight being phased out and replaced with Photofox, I would’ve expected the same features to be available in both of the free versions. But this isn’t the case; the heal, patch and target features are only available now with the Pro version of Photofox when they were available in the free version of Enlight. Photofox also feels like a more “a five-year old can use it” type app, rather than one geared towards photographers. If I recall correctly, Photoshop did the same thing with their app and lost a ton of customers. In my opinion, Enlight was much better than Photofox, and I’m very disappointed the company decided to go with this “forget the customer, make as much money as we can” route. Photofox may be a good option for some, but it is no longer an app I will be using.
Pro or Not 5 Star
by Paindeer? Hey on 2017/12/15 17:31
I don’t have Enlight or pro, and I don’t necessarily plan on spending money on it anytime soon. But I absolutely love this app! It’s got several great features for free and looks like some amazing ones I really want to have the money for. I like the ability to customize the brushes such as the eraser and doodle. I have never seen this in any other photo editing app. I enjoy the simplicity and yet ability to do complex things. I love what I can do with these photos with Photofox! I really wanted to leave a good review because I’ve been on this app maybe way too much and nobody ever knows what I’m talking about.
Great App!!
by Loladoesn'tgiveabuck on 2018/11/16 12:26
I really enjoy this app, I think it is great for editing. I like that there is many different things you can do to the pictures and I really like that you can blend 2 or more pictures at a time, many apps do not have that option. I definitely recommend getting this app, and I would be giving it 5 stars but I do think it is a little confusing at first and I do like that they did a little demo for you to kind of give you the feel of doing it yourself but after that there wasn’t a help button or anything to click on. Other than that though the app is excellent for editing and I really like the options it gives you!
Really?
by Your.Friend.E on 2019/04/28 21:02
Charging for features that are already FREE for users that ONE TIME PURCHASE the original Enlight app. I would understand this app had the exact features of the original for FREE and then charge for newer and different ones but that’s not the case. Also I don’t appreciate the message on an update that was made to Enlight app stating that they will still support the app for now. That’s not ok, I understand there’s money to be made but don’t take away something that people purchased on your own terms of a one time purchase. If the objective was to have a monthly, yearly, permanent purchase charge, then you should’ve executed that business model from the start. That way you guys wouldn’t have had to make a new app that’s so similar but with a different look and name to get that business model up and running.
Free? Revised Review
by SG-RVA on 2018/06/03 04:36
I’m revising my review because it isn’t fair for me to say what I said when it was operator error that caused the issue. I’m giving 4 stars instead of one. I’m still not good at using the functions but it does what they say it will for free. Here was my original review for reference. I apologize if anyone made a choice to not try this out for their self based on what I wrote!!! I downloaded so that I could test it out since support kept saying how great free version still is. I didn’t opt in for any payment and it went to a screen saying tap here to start and froze. It’s not my phone either, working with iPhone X so there should be no issues. Disappointing.
Kind of disappointed
by tgb623 on 2019/09/06 02:10
I purchased this app since it first came out. I used it all of the time. I don’t do anything special. Add words, make a collage. With this new update I have to figure everything out again and some of the things I liked and used are gone. Replacing them are constant pop ups to subscribe. I know there are people that really use all of the features, but I just want something to edit a photo. I don’t want to pay even more money every month to use an app I already paid for once. This isn’t the only app that’s doing this, I’ve had to delete apps asking for a monthly fee to use them. THAT’S what is disappointing.

by The Evil Taco on 2020/10/28 23:22

Honestly wish this would just be a one time purchase, there's not a whole lot you can really currently add to it in my opinion.

by Idky4 on 2020/10/02 21:26
Lightroom is free as mobile photoshop.

Perfect!
by photoeditor14 on 2020/09/13 02:51
This app is perfect!

It’s just frustrating that they get the need to fix something that’s broken, without considering continuity of user experience.

by SpikeGonzo on 2020/09/06 17:36
I am proud owner of Enlight app as I paid 4.99 several years ago and it was my number one favorite editing app.

Research
