No iCloud Drive support

The help docs apply to the desktop version which shows iCloud Drive support. Doesn’t have it for iOS though which makes this version useless for me.
Won't work
by Matt Ashe on 2019/11/18 03:23
I was looking for a video editor for my 2019 iPad Air. It worked great during the tutorial. Now whenever I try editing a video, the video freezes up.n It just won't play.

A lot of
Terrible (iPad.)
by kolm1993 on 2019/11/16 14:50
The fact that I went so long, paying a monthly subscription for this is sad. My iPad Pro is essentially my computer I use for everything on my YouTube channel. Adobe Rush would work, well enough, when it worked. The biggest issue I had with the actual functionality was the fact that subtitles were extremely hard to edit with the touchscreen. You would often be editing lines of text for the next text transition. Where to biggest problem is I often receive new products to review. The sooner I get the video up, the sooner people get to consume the media. The issue here is the fact that Rush takes about 30-45 minutes to “Render” a 10 minute video. If that doesn’t sound terrible enough, often times it would (80% of the time.) fail rendering sometimes 5 minutes into the rendering project, other times 30 minutes into rendering. iMovie renders way faster however the customization is just not there. They tell you it directly is effected by battery charge, or update. Currently (before I just uninstalled the app.) I was running the newest version, with 100% charge and it still continued to fail. I reinstalled the app. Still failed. LumaFusion it is. This software is junk. Adobe is a multi-million dollar company and they can make the app less, bug-free for the most popular tablet on the face of this planet?
App crashes

Not too sure what’s happening please fix it. App crashes all the time
So impressed
by shell777 on 2019/11/16 01:14
Great feature
Took 45 minutes to render and didn’t work twice.
by Quaidonmars on 2019/11/15 16:44
Made a video that contained two screen recorded clips. I just put them one after the other. It took 30 minutes to render the first time and failed. Did it again and it took 45 minutes but now the video plays for about 45 seconds and then it stays on one frame with no audio. These were 1 minute clips. Pathetic. Adobe should be ashamed of putting their name on this trash of an app.
Premiere rush
by queen_angel561 on 2019/11/15 12:36
I love this app because you can edit and it saves your photos and your videos for memory.if you have a youtube channel it helps a lot you don’t have to edit from YouTube you can edit from premiere rush
Lazy app from adobe
by RealCheef on 2019/11/14 13:49
I don’t understand why they can’t add support for 5d mark iv 4K video. Apple allows you to import the files fine in their stock photos app. They play back perfectly fine and iMovie has no problem editing and exporting..iMovie is just too basic for me. I think adobe doesn’t really care about the mobile apps. Probably time to end my subscription and look elsewhere.
AMAZING💗💗💗

Horrible!!

Worst app eveeeeer!!! First it was good, when I paid the app it start closing I couldn’t edit anything. Or download it after. Wait of money.
Very very very buggy
by ok84298492 on 2019/11/12 10:59
I had to create the video for my schools Veterans’ Day assembly. I worked on this video for hours, for days. When I tried to export the video it kicked me out of the app every single time. I tried to screen record it and it played all the audios out of order and the videos would glitch. However, the tools and everything else about it is great.
So disappointed!
by mustme21 on 2019/11/12 02:00
I did my project, spend a lot of time because it was first time for me and couldn’t even save it! All my options was - share with social media. Why everything supposed to be shared ? I wanted just to show it to my family.
Constantly crashes
by Jae-one on 2019/11/12 01:25
I have a brand new iPhone and haven’t been able to complete one project due to constant crashing. The app is pretty much useless.
Amazing but glitchy
by Colinstarfish on 2019/11/10 21:02
The interface is actually easier to use than Adobe Premiere. But it does crash continually. Not a huge negative, but frustrating if I was in a “rush” Other than that, once the glitches work out, I’m happy with it.
Getting better all the time!
by Ronnnie O on 2019/11/10 19:51
Many of the previous bugs have been resolved. It would be nice if there was a easier way to replace the text in a title.

Crashes Without Fail
by fero.cious on 2019/11/10 17:42
Well I had high hopes for a simple, intuitive video editing app that I could use on the fly with my iPad Pro but upon importing my video clip and trying the scrub through the clip, the app crashes. And this happens every. single. time. Why release the app if it’s going to be this buggy?! Smh.
Too expensive
by Nat Turner on 2019/11/09 14:11
Nice app. Stable. Easy to use, but it's overpriced. $10/month just to save to your camera roll. Meanwhile it lacks a lot of features offered by some free apps like InShot.
I WANT MY MONEY BACK 😕
by dissapointed adboe fan on 2019/11/09 05:10
When I first started using it I loved it. Then when I tried rendering it it kept crashing. When I tried calling customer service I was left on hold for 45 minutes before I just hung up. If I’m going to spend $10 on a subscription I’d expect better customer service from a company
Glitchy
by Addi_1 on 2019/11/08 10:58
every time I place my videos on here some will glitch and render the glitch so the final look is horrible... get rid of the glitch please I would love to keep using this app

Rush has definitely upped my social media game! It makes me look good in front of my colleagues as a social media editor. Simple, quick and easy to learn!
Superimposed Ghost Clips
by benkenshin on 2019/11/05 10:51
On iPhone XR, the graphic problems on render are unacceptable. Clips blend and glitch into other clips constantly. Don’t know if this is an iPhone only problem. I still use it but the glitches and unintentionally superimposed ghost images onto clips makes RUSH frustrating. I see uploaded content from friends with those ghost images and ask them are you using RUSH and their like yeah. Please fix it. The program is very fun to use and will get a five star from me once it is fixed. This is still beta right?
An Embarrassment to Adobe CC
by Yawnatello on 2019/11/04 19:02
This is a facile and impotent app that is undeserving of the Adobe brand name. The inability to uncouple audio and video tracks from one another is one of many glaring, disqualifying flaws to what could and should be THE powerhouse iOS video editing suite. Shame on Adobe for abandoning not just the well understood standards of non-linear editing software, but also for forsaking the Creative Cloud subscribers who have been screaming for updates since this anemic debut. The only rational explanation for this is greed; they want you to pay for Premiere on OSX. Well, I have a CC subscription and want to edit on my phone; Adobe needs to grow up and integrate.
Almost
by BGSP on 2019/11/04 15:16
I’ve been using Adobe services for years, and this is a pretty good option- especially if you do not like dragging your laptop around with you. Pros. Somewhat* easy to use, great quality video (upon export), you will wow the people around you with the quick edit decisions that can be made. Cons. ADD “FILES” app to your importer, PLEASE. Nobody uses Dropbox anymore, and it adds an unnecessary additional step, which for me is importing the edited project from Rush to iMovie, just so I can use 1 music track that’s in my Files app. That’s pretty disappointing. Another thing that just drives me crazy (in a bad way) about this app is the UI. It doesn’t make sense, it’s somewhat* adaptable if you’re coming from Adobe products already (i.e. use Premiere on your main computer), but please- either follow iMovie and rip of their UI- or make your UI closer to your PC/Mac version of Premiere. Nothing is clear. And I become frustrated more times than not because “trim” and “move” are almost the same exact gesture. Please make a SMART TOOL (like pro tools, where whatever section you click on, the tool auto-changes) or a TOOL SELECTOR. Like PC, where you have rollers, pointer tool, and cut tool. ESPECIALLY with IOS13 now supporting keyboard and mouse for iPad and iPhone?? C’mon Adobe :/ BIGGEST GRIPE. NO AUDIO TRANSITIONS??!!! Please add EQ, Compressor, and at the very least AUDIO TRANSITIONS. Editors need this functionality as we are constantly “Frankensteining” audio together, especially during interviews with B-Roll on top. This app is almost unusable for this issue ALONE. It’s obvious when a cut is made. And doesn’t give the final product a “professional” sound. All other missing functionality seems like child’s play in comparison to this one huge leave-out. Please do something about it!

I’ve just tried to publish my first video to YouTube and I get an error message with the whole process being aborted (I have multiple YouTube accounts on my one google login which I believe is the problem). I now need to save the app on my device and upload it with another video app that can cope with these multiple accounts!

I was looking for a app that I could use to work on a project I have. This looked like a brilliant app. But, it looks like the app doesn’t work with older phones. I have an IPhone 5s, and whenever I wanted to sign up, it would freeze. I would double click the home button and exit out of the app. I thought that this was something that only happened once, no? And I tried it again, but it still didn’t work. I might be a bug. But the app itself has a lot of potential, just wished it would work.

Application Crashes
by Michelle67274!? on 2019/10/29 08:02
If they were to fix the glitches that this app has, this would be a wonderful tool to use for editing. I know for a fact that the application is crashing and not because of my phones fault. This phone is brand new, phone’s software is up to date, and I don’t even have more then 12-15 videos the most in it. So I can for sure say that the application isn’t crashing because of storage issues. I’ve lost so many edited videos that I spent almost days working on. Very disappointed. Also, when I go back to the beginning of my videos to replay back what I have done so far it seems to lag and glitch out, making me think that I recorded my video faulty. When I go into my albums and play the video to see if it was my fault, the video plays completely smooth. I don’t trust spending hours upon hours of my time editing on this application from fear of losing my work. I have too much to lose since this is what I do for income. Sorry adobe, I’ll be using other applications from here on out until this issue gets resolved. I will not be paying money for something that will crash during my editing time.

A totally awesome video editing app
by Cynic072 on 2019/10/27 03:37
Just tried this a week ago on my iPad and totally loving it. Am using it to edit my overseas learning trip videos and am happy with the outcomes so far. Here’re some suggestions for future updates; 1) Allow for duplicates of project files to be done. 2) I wasn’t able to paste the texts from other apps, and have to instead retype them again 3) Would love to be able to get the volume of the background music to die down, or crank up over a duration of time. 4) There should be a prompt to indicate that saving to the camera roll is complete. Other than that, am happy with how things are so far. Good job guys. 👍🏽

by Tglander on 2019/10/21 03:29

Too basic
by LueZuve on 2019/10/21 01:21
Having the Premiere name you would think this app would offer professional functionality but what you get is a very basic editor with mediocre tools. Yay, I can fly in text...but not anything else because it only has three transitions: dissolve, dip to white and dip to black. It's sad that two of those transitions are a dip to color. You should have one dip to color transition and just have the option to set it to any color you want. So to sum up, this app doesn’t have enough tools for pros and doesn’t offer enough “wow” for social media such as TikTok and Instagram. Adobe, you should be ashamed for releasing this as a Premiere product. I’m glad it came with my CC subscription because I’d be annoyed if I had paid for it separately.
No way to import from files???
by I own the pc version on 2019/10/21 01:18
I literally looked for 20 minutes for an option to import an audio file from Files, but nope. Just an option to import from dropbox or creative cloud plus a handful of unchangeable directories like itunes songs, which are all greyed out. Also, not worth 10bucks a month. 20% the cost of full adobe cc sub for a single mobile app?

I spent hours and hours working on video. Fully updated iOS, latest version of the app, plenty of storage space - the app crashes during any attempt to export. What’s more the project doesn’t save in the Adobe cloud, so there’s no way to access any of my work from another device. Can’t send project files either. Stuck. I reached out to the help forum - the only place I can find to try and contact someone. I’ve received no reply. The app itself was fairly handy except for some font glitches. But there is little point if the video cannot be exported

Aside from never being able to successfully upload any media it now has lost the ability to render transparent png files all I get is a black space where the png would be. This is something recent as I made several videos with the same png with no issues on Rush. I also tried reaching out to tech support on both Twitter and via the help links but got both generic automated responses. So for now I’ll just wait till I’m home and create these videos on Premiere as with Rush it never uploads the media to the cloud and now not being able to use transparent png files it’s pretty much useless.

by Eriqzaid on 2019/10/14 03:00
This app helps me edit videos great except that on my phone it's not very reliable when you try to render/export the video. My video will be in the middle of rendering and it will stop, crash, or have a pop up message saying “Unable to render successfully”. I keep trying to render the video but it still says the same thing/keeps crashing. Please fix this, I have an iPhone 6 Plus.

I’ve had this app for several months over three months and anytime I try to edit any type of video I always get an error saying my “upload has failed” . Then I have to constantly delete the app and then re-add the app I order to get more than three edits in at a time .. when like I said I pay for this monthly !!! It’s highly annoying and unfair . I will be unsubscribing soon once I figure out how to save all of my projects else where . And now I have to always enter a password when opening the app it’s very inconvenient. Very unsatisfied.

by Heidiho67 on 2019/10/11 12:52
Not gonna lie… Definitely referred to some YouTube tutorials to use this app, but in one day I was able to learn and now I’m ready to make many videos for my Facebook and Instagram posts for my business. Upgraded to the $10 a month which will be money well spent. I am 51 years old and not at all familiar with technology. Frankly haven’t even used Instagram and very little Facebook, but videos are key for businesses these days and this app was highly recommended. Now I recommend it as well.
Bad support. Missing video files. Hard to navigate Adobe Cloud
by TonyBabarino on 2019/10/11 06:29
I use 1080p or 4K video in the app, sometimes from FilMiC Pro at 100-120 mbps. Hard as heck to tain the right place to change default text in titles, the “hold down space bar” on iPhone X trick to move cursor with precision does not work in app to place cursor when you want to type. Also, normally my footage appears as ALL BLACK and can only see my changes or titles when I hit “play”, so I have to guess, literally in the dark, when I move or modify titles and graphic elements and hit play to see what I just did. Full-screen for title edits would help. So would pinch-to-zoom to edit the tiny text. Dragging ends of clips to shorten/lengthen is random hit-and-miss as is adding transitions. The free music does not conform to your project length; you have to add your own music and fade-out with the VIDEO dissolve transition (ie fade to black...on the sound. Weird. I LOVE where Adobe is going with this, but is should be more refined by now like LumaFusion. No doubt it will become a killer app....one day. Looking forward to it! PS: I wish the desktop version was fully refined and polished by now. It’s a good idea they have, linking the work! 👍
Solid editor, but not worth a subscription
by heffphoto on 2019/10/11 03:00
I recently purchased an iPad Pro so Ive been looking for a good mobile video editor. This is definitely a great one from the few test edits I did.. The UI is easy to learn, it’s snappy and responsive without much lag during playback, and the color correction feels similar to LR which I appreciate as I already have a photography plan subscription.. while I really do like it overall, is it worth another $120/year? No way. As a stand alone purchase or for another $1-2 on the photo plan I already have, I would go for it. But $120/yr is a pretty tall ask when even hardware developers like GoPro and DJI offer apps that perform almost as well but at no cost. Sure it’s bundled with 100gb of storage but that is completely unnecessary imo. If I am to use it beyond the 3 free edits, I’d likely save up a couple projects then buy a month to export them all before cancelling immediately. Additional features I wish it had: 1. ability to import media from the internal file folders, not just the camera roll or cloud. 2. Ability to fade in and out audio clips. 3. Ability to reverse clips. 4. Ability to add zoom or pan ‘ken burns’ effects to clips. 5. I wasn’t able to add photos, don’t know if that’s a bug or missing feature. 6. Markers could be handy. 7. Additional export options. 8. Ability to add aspect ratio masks (I love 2.85:1). 9. Maybe a lot to ask, but ability to apply basic stabilization to a clip would also be awesome. So overall, great app.. and if you already have the full CC plan I’m sure its nice to have, but for $120/yr extra if you don’t, I cant see how it’s worth it currently.

A remarkably versatile tool for creating content on the go. After working solely with Adobe Premiere on my computer, I’m delighted to have this app at my disposal. Keep up the great work Adobe. You’re helping this young man’s dreams come to fruition.
EXCELLENT

It’s a great app for quick on a mobile device. Zero complaints.
This app is garbage
by Andie Anson on 2019/10/09 17:43
Crashes every single project I work on. Doesn’t even open sometimes. If there was an alternative I would switch from Adobe in an instant. This is a major letdown compared to what’s expected from Adobe. Especially being a paying member of their program
Useless without export

Useless without export. Which you must pay monthly for. Subscription is exorbitant for what you get.

I started a project one day nd wasn’t able to finish it working on it until a few weeks later. I WASN'T EVEN ABLE TO OPEN UP THE PROJECT. So all my harder work and editing went to waste. I’d reckoned that u keep looking for a better video editing app cuz this one ain’t it.
Classic Adobe issues....
by shhediushebebwiwije on 2019/10/08 19:03
Just like Premiere Pro this program has its issues. When it works it is a great editing app. But... I downloaded the trial and it glitched 2 of my 3 exports. You only get 3 exports in the trial version. So I used them all just trying to export one project. Adobe, stop stealing money from people when your programs and apps don’t even function properly. This is a phone/tablet editing app and you expect to get 10$ every month to use??? You’re crazy
Crash, crash, crash

Incredible for color correcting & lighting tweaks!
by mirapuff on 2019/08/08 00:47
If you are familiar with the ACR work flow, this app is very user friendly. I am a media consultant for a nursery and we shoot a lot of videos outdoors. We constantly fight with exposure changes and saturation issues so having this app is essential. I love how easy it is to color correct the lighting as well as bring blown out highlights back to a normal level. They just added the slow motion & fast motion options which are fantastic. Truly a one of a kind app that has all of the features I would want in a workflow I am familiar with. Lastly, this app saves UNCOMPRESSED videos - I dont know how many apps I have tried that just destroy my video quality ( Im shooting on an iphone x with a DJI Osmos 2 steady-cam). 10/10 recommend if you do ANYTHING on social media, professional or personal!
Disappointing
by TheOwlMan666 on 2019/02/12 16:17
The app itself is useful thanks to the number of options it provides for video customization and editing, but it isn’t worth it at due to how it’s able to save clips and audio. The first time I tried it I was working on a 10-20 minute video which required multiple clips, and audio recordings. When I was almost finished the notification “media failed to upload” kept popping up. It gave me no guidance or real indication of what did not upload or how I could fix the issue. When the notifications stopped the app crashed and when I went back to finish ALL of the audio was gone as well as most of the clips and images. I went back and the app gave me a notification that there was not enough space and I needed to upgrade my drive. I assumed that when I ran out of space it caused the clips to be lost. I purchased the $10 monthly subscription and restarted the video. When I was halfway through the app crashed and the same thing happened again, with no explanation. So all of my hard work went to waste. This app is very useful but this problem makes it not worth my time or anyone else’s, and it has motivated me to uninstall. Very disappointing.
Great when it works
by yitbosaz on 2018/12/22 21:48
When it works, I'd give it a 5 star, but getting it to open is such a pain that I often give up. On my iPhone 8 plus, 99% of the time I try to open it, it sits on the start up screen for about a minute, then closes. I'll try several times, sometimes it'll eventually work, but usually have to restart my phone. That will almost always work. I have also noticed an issue that happens 100% of the time. If I import a video that I already trimmed in the iOS Photos app, there will be a sync issue with the audio. As a work around, I duplicate the track, offset it and use it for the audio, but the export comes out messed up. In that situation, it still will have the same issue if I use Rush on desktop. Opening in Premiere Pro does work, however the export will take about (literally) 10 times as long as usual. Normally, I would just write off an app I have that kind of trouble with, however, when I do get it to work, it is wonderful. I really hope they get these issues worked out. I think the stability issue came from an update, because it wasn't a problem when it first came out.
Nice app but I’m not into the subscription.
by yank (the) on 2019/01/20 18:12
Hey Adobe, figure out a way to offer a one time purchase price again. I have literally stopped considering buying your products since CS6. This is nice app if you like adobe products. However, as a “non-professional” user of adobe programs I have to say that I am absolutely against their subscription based business model. I typically take the time to learn this, as well as other adobe products so that the media I do produce will be at best on par with most entry level professionals. This in mind, I enjoy having all the functionality of these programs available - or in other words the potential to learn more and become better at producing quality media. Unfortunately though I am only a part time user and cannot see the justification of spending $10/mo. on a subscription that I utilize for fun, for $0 profit of my own, once, maybe twice a month. I don’t want the cloud, I don’t want another monthly bill, I want to have fun and be creative on my own. Listen to your customers. This is very off-putting.
Great, but may not be worth it if you’re buying it alone
by Tommy Zeth on 2018/10/16 03:43
Premiere Rush is a much better video editing application for iOS than iMovie and other free video editing software l have tried. It has great features with much more customizable text, easy to use portably, and so on. However, I have already own the entire CC plan, so this is only a nice addition for me. I wouldn't recommend this if you were to spend the $10/month on Premiere Rush alone. The price is half the price of Premiere Pro ($21/month) and Premiere Pro is a much more powerful video editing tool. Honestly, just get Premiere Pro by itself or the whole CC plan. Getting Rush alone probably isn’t worth the money. But if you don’t have a computer for Premiere Pro and just want a simple upgrade from iOS iMovie, go ahead and buy it. For certain I’ll be using Rush whenever I need to edit videos on my phone and can’t use my computer.

I’ve been looking for a decent app to make my slideshows on, the rest had a ridicules subscription that cost my whole bank or they weren’t having certain things I was looking for. I tried this app and I WAS SO HAPPY!! (I think you have to pay, but I think I got out of it using a special trick 😊) but for all you young people it will not let you use the app until your 18 or over so you may have to stretch the truth. So far it has no bugs, but I’m still looking for those hidden prices that may pop-up. For de creators if I was suppose to pay, I’M SORRY 😭I didn’t hack but I did something and it didn’t ask for a subscription so......yeah.....but I hoped this review helped make up your mind. (I’m a gachatuber so this really helped) 10/10 would recommend to anyone 😁😁
Not much better than adobe clip
by druwin12344321 on 2018/10/16 13:45
Looks like adobe rushed this to market? Seems a tad bit better than adobe clip but just wonder why adobe did not get it from there past experience with adobe clip? One being that you still can not toggle the upload of material! Seems like a no brained that this is a preference toggle switch. Also the app keeps wanting to update every time I open it. The ability to cut up video is still not as slick as iMovie where you can use a swipe up or down to cut and I’m finding the inability to roll clips into smaller or bigger segments is not working. Someone mentioned this app is Bette than Luma Fusion. Well maybe they are not actually purchasing this app and so they have adsaybe but in my opinion nothing matches what Luma Fusion can do once you learn the workflow. Sorry Adobe this app is a notch up from clip app but not by much. Hope you guys can do better with creating something that really works well. Until then my vote goes to Luma Fusion for iOS video editing.
Absolute garbage

Spent an hour creating video on Christmas to share with family who couldn’t be here with us. Audio drops out and the music tracks I added only play inside the app and not anywhere that I share them. Also, the first attempt to export failed, however it still counted against my 3 free exports. Now I’m left with one free export, but no worries I won’t be needing it since I’ll be looking for an alternative.... something you potential buyers should consider, especially since others have more features, ones that actually work, and don’t cost anywhere near 10 bucks a month. This app isn’t even worth a one time payment of $10! How do you, in right mind, justify charging customers monthly for this trash? Also, can you pay me for wasting precious family time on my Christmas day? I work too many hours to have done this any other time and I wasn’t trying to share a video a week later. Not only was using this app an atrocious experience but it also managed to completely waste my time in the process.
Very close to ideal
by Ninertrips on 2019/04/27 15:22
Clean, intuitive, essential editing on iPad Pro, but right now it’s a little too essential. 1) Desperately needs the ability to do basic animation of transformations: pan, zoom rotate. 2) Needs the ability to duplicate a project (not just a timeline inside a project) to make versions, templates, etc. Fingers crossed these features will be added soon. Update: After further experimentation, another vital feature feels lacking: Drag and drop media from other apps/photos (using iPad Pro btw). Just anything to reduce the number of taps it takes to get a piece of media into my project/timeline. Im working with stills, often edited/created in other apps. What if I could just drag a sketch from Adobe Sketch straight to the timeline? Or drag a still or video from Photos straight in? Right now the media management has a lot of the clunkiness of a desktop experience.
Great debut release — just an update or two from 5 stars
by dj jon bates on 2018/11/23 18:54
The reviews with complaints about paying for this need to understand that Adobe builds tools for professionals. We hold them to the highest standards of performance, stability and functionality because many of our careers literally depend on Adobe software. Premiere Rush is one of the stronger v1 products Adobe has launched in recent years. I need to invest more time with this app before I give it five stars, but it fills the void for projects that are too minor for After Effects and not worth the hassle of Premiere. (Adobe Spark Video remains the more frustrating app of the useful Spark trio). My hope is that Adobe keeps new products like this focused and bloat-free: Photoshop (the crown jewel of CC) is diminished by the kitchen-sink additions like 3D. Keep it fast, stable and within a memory footprint that doesn’t lag when multi-app switching
Frequently Doesn’t Open

I love this app, WHEN I am able to access It. It works for a couple of days and then will stop opening on my phone altogether. Each time I have to delete the app and then reinstall, which is a pain to have to do so often. I’ve done this 5-6 times now and is the only way to keep using It, It seems. I’ve called Apple thinking it was my phone before but It was not. I tried contacting the developers to see if they knew what could be going on and why, but I wasn’t able to get through to any actual person to help. Very disappointing. For now I just will keep on deleting and reinstalling until maybe I get some help. Otherwise, the app itself is actually great.
Good, but...
by Alex Shapkarov on 2018/12/03 02:34
ok so i downloaded this app as a sort of entertainment. i had a lot of fun putting together clips and the overall experience was very professional. BUT as soon as my phone was at 2% i closed the app and plugged in my phone until it got to about 50%. after i let my phone charge, i clicked on the app, and it took me to the loading page. i was waiting for it to load for 2 minutes tops, and then it just kicked me off the app. i tried again to get in, but it kicked me off again. then i restarted my phone. i went back to the app, and it still kicked me out. i have no idea why it’s doing that, and i hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else. i didn’t want to delete the app and then reinstall because i made a “movie” on there and i didn’t want everything to be gone. i was sort of in a jam there, so just be careful with this app.
Almost there

I think this is very good for a mobile editor. I think if a few features were added this would be really really good for quick edits while traveling. A few features I would like to see are, key frames for basic stuff like scale etc., maybe some masks, and a few effects like grain, and the warp stabilizer. I would also like to change the sequence size to a custom size. For example 2.39:1 instead of using a .png overlay. Also this is probably the most important thing I would like to see, can we please have a way to view, at least preview our full timelines from the desktop app over CC to show clients what we have been working on, on the go?That would be extremely useful for me at least. Overall, this app seems very promising, keep up the good work 🙂.
Like editing on Premiere Pro but friendlier and cross-platform
by Yasser Masood on 2019/09/10 16:20
It might be a bit intimidating and require a learning curve when using Adobe Premiere Pro for someone who wants a powerful yet simple enough video editor. In addition, you want to easily move it across different OSes in case you change your mind. Adobe really delivered on this app while trying to keep it compatible across different OSes and their Creative Cloud suite. The fact that semi-casual bloggers can easily switch their projects to different aspect ratios and even access vast library of Adobe Stock text templates for use is the best deal. Of course the full power of this app is only available for CC subscribers, but newcomers will find it a worthwhile investment even if they only choose to use this app for their vlogs. They’ll be taking more cautious steps to ensure that feature parity is evident with all their versions while being compatible, so that your projects move with you without disruption.
Thanks a lot
by JamesBrachacho on 2019/06/07 14:32
The program itself works great, but I have a love-hate relationship with the program. Last night, I was finishing up a project from 1-4am only to find that the app crashed the second before I hit the save button. When I relaunched Rush, my project was nowhere to be found, but the file is still visible on my creative cloud, saying that everything’s synced up. If it is, then why can’t I get to my project??? This has happened several times and I’m very upset over what has happened. The way it got fixed before is if I’m working on a new project and the program crashes (usually about a week). When I relaunch Rush after this happens, the project I was just working on is gone, but the project that has disappeared a day/a week ago reappears. It’s so confusing. Does Rush have two dimensions that files travel to, and you can only switch to each dimension when the Adobe gods randomly crash your software?
First video experience
by Good tides on 2018/11/07 01:27
For working on your phone app it’s getting there. I’m liking the audio control you get, being able to change the frame of my videos a must need for portrait size. But i found it a little difficult, to get precise cuts on my clips, also the lack of a creative installed title presets, it’s a little difficult to position curser when changing or correcting words and the no speed interpolation for video tracks. So i have to switch between adobe clips and this. I feel they could have just added what they did here to adobe clips and made that a better app, rather then start a whole new one. One last thing. If your going to give us the ability to lair tracks then we need our blend modes.
Another subscription based app
by ChrisE1G on 2019/02/10 20:32
You can use this mobile app for 12 months if you pay $120. When those 12 months have passed, you can not keep using the app as-is, and simply not receive any more updates. Subscription aside, this app is simply not worth the asking price. A subscription based app is another bill to keep track of. The vast majority of subscription based apps on the AppStore are obviously not worth it, no matter how you look at it. And from a consumer perspective it’s just not sustainable to keep track of all the bills every month. Adobe offers their various desktop applications via subscription, if you’re a pro and Adobe keeps updating and improving their desktop applications, alongside providing a service like cloud based storage, it might be worth it. However more and more real alternatives are appearing on the market that are not subscription based. There’s a reason for why that’s happening. More advanced video editing desktop applications without subscription fees are starting to emerge, and that will eventually be reflected on the AppStore as well. In the meantime, there are a few very capable video apps available on the AppStore already that are not subscription based, like LumaFusion (which does far more things then this app).
A bit frustrating to use on an iPad
by Leo from Miami on 2019/04/28 20:49
The app overall is good and very convenient. I made a video sequence fairly quickly by combining some iPhone videos and photos. I easily added a title, did some cross fading between photos and videos. Added a background music from Rush’s catalog. The frustration came when I wanted to move the music sound track. Pushing left or right did nothing. Double tapping would put an orange border around the track to show it was selected. But it was not very responsive. And shortening or expanding the track was also a mission. It seems that you have to touch the side border on a very precise point in order to drag it in or out. And even then it is not clear if the track is expanding or simply being moved on the timeline.
Buying exports?
by martisnz on 2018/12/08 15:33
Honestly, I think this app is really good. You guys are doing an amazing job, but with the knowledge that you guys ARE a business and trying to get money. I understand why you want the payments. I don’t think that this is a necessary payment. As a student, I use many adobe apps and think it works amazingly. I felt that I have done amazing work using your apps in my multimedia class. As a high school student, I don’t think I should be using money to buy something that is unnecessary. For understanding, I love using this app, but it is not worth spending money on. It’s just an app without special abilities. Overall I absolutely love this app, but cannot afford to use an app that has payment.
Not a fan of subscription based apps
by DJ Tranc4mer on 2019/09/24 09:43
I really love this app and it’s great, but the fact that it’s subscription based makes me hate it so much at the same time. It’s really dumb that you have to pay $10/month just to render videos. The app really has no use if you don’t pay for a subscription. When you first get the app you’re given 3 free exports. I decided to try it out and create a video, but my first render was pixelated in the middle of the video. So I ended up wasting a free export and had to use another export to re-render my video now bringing me down to 1 free export left. When I use this last free export I’ll probably delete the app because I’m most likely not getting a subscription. If this was a paid app instead of subscription based, then I would definitely be on board to use it.
Very good, but would be great if....
by Jake Ituto on 2019/04/30 20:37
Adobe Rush is a fantastic app to get some very good work done on your phone. I think it is very powerful but, I think it would be extremely powerful & extremely efficient if I was able to add an adjustment layer and add coloring to the entire piece of footage rather than having to click on each individual clip and change the Lut. Adobe, can you please add this feature? It would save me so much time because I would only have to spot edit rather than edit every clip. Would you also be able to add the featured to increase or decrease the volume of an entire layer of clips rather than having to go into each one?
One of the best apps
by Wesley Brilhante on 2018/12/18 20:32
I like it but for some odd reason since the last 2 updates the app opens and then hangs for a while and sometimes I have to force close and open again but it’s a great app, still have to get some more features to be able to keep up with the competition as far as video editing apps go the competition still have a little edge but this app has so much potential for me as a creative cloud member, please add those extra features that everyone is waiting for and we all will love you guys forever lol 😂 👍👌
Exporting videos
by Candy_sweetheart on 2019/01/27 15:28
Ive come across a problem where I am not able to export my videos. I recently have finished editing a video on my iPad Pro with titles, transitions, and such but when I went to go export the finished video despite having 2 available exports the, process of exporting the video has continuously failed. I really like this editing app and I’m considering buying the upgrade to 100Gb but honestly I’m not sure if I’m willing to spend 10 dollars on this app if I cant trust that my videos will successfully be exported. I hope maybe this is just a bug or something and hopefully I find a solution for this problem
Ok, but lacks some basic features
by iAmViper on 2018/10/23 02:52
While I am an advocate for Adobe products and use them daily, I do have to say that Rush is not quite there yet with functionality that can be found in other free apps. For example, the ability to put a title slide before and after your video. For me to do that, I have to use another app to create the title and then bring it in as a separate graphic. Another example is to fade in/out audio. You again would need to edit in a separate app to do that. Given the limitations, Rush does do some good things with basic cuts, transitions, trims, etc. Overall, I think Rush just needs to mature a bit to become a great “edit anywhere” app.
Great, with a couple tiffs
by Johnny Gerdes on 2019/04/26 13:54
I use premiere pro for big video projects but when I commute, I figured this would save time I need to quickly edited small clips. It’s great! My typekit fonts are uploaded and I love filters that come with it. Being able to add and delete layers is pretty easy and typically any edit I’d want to do in premiere I can do in Rush. My only fall back is exporting . My clips are typically 1:30 - 3 minutes long and they take around 45 minutes minutes to render. Which would be fine except I have to keep my phone on, and not touch it at all! Don’t check any messages, look to see what time it is, nothing! Or, it’ll stop the entire process and start over. I’ve had nearly completed clips to be exported only to have it stopped because my hand accidentally pulled down my notifications. So now I just edit and leave my phone on in another room untouched. It may sound awful, but I love what comes out. Eats up my battery too....buuuut I still love it
Good, but buggy...
by BlastOffGames on 2019/03/03 22:27
This app looked like it could be everything that iMovie isn’t on iOS. However, it’s extremely buggy, and it doesn’t have some features that would be very helpful for video editing, like a Ken Burns effect. (But that feature isn’t that important) [The Bug] The bug that I’m talking about, seemed to be linked to using multiple video and image clips on top of each other. I lowered the opacity of the clips to create a double exposure effect which I really really like, because I can’t do that on iMovie. However, the app keeps crashing while I’m editing, making it very difficult to use the app. If this were to be resolved I would give it 4 stars. If it had more features I’d give it 5, but with the constant bug and being without some features, I’ll give it 3 stars. This app has great potential though. So I’ll keep it around just to see what Adobe will do to fix this issue. Hopefully the bug will be fixed and more features will be added. If they do, I’ll be more than happy to give this app 5 stars.
Excellent - can’t wait for it to grow with more features

Started using it last night. Love it!! So happy to be able to use a phone app that will straighten videos, and give the option for editing exposure, etc. also zoom in without losing clarity is sweet! I’m hoping Adobe will get right on it and fix this soon, but unfortunately it crashes constantly. Ugh. But it saves where you left off, so no loss of editing time thankfully. And trying to use the shorten or lengthen tools are hard to use on the phone. The app needs to be more responsive to that command. Otherwise I’d give it 5 stars!
Rush crashes
by Baaaaambaaaam on 2018/12/08 16:33
Adobe is a fantastic suite to have in your tool box. Unfortunately this tool (Rush CC) does not contain the same robustness that the rest of the Adobe products offer. I was pretty excited about this at first, the functions seemed to be there but came short in the most basic operations. Every time I export , it crashed. Every time I scrubbed through the timeline.... it crashed. If the devs are reading this and so chose to post this. I am using this on an iPhone 8. My final complaint is that even with my subscription to adobe suite ( which an email came through to state I would be allowed unlimited exports for RUSH and the full version because of my current subscription) I the app doesn’t show the full version and adobe again wants to charge me for it....... bad form Adobe.
Great app but could improve
by Ramzy Chamut on 2019/03/19 03:28
I really love the idea of having an app in your phone that works like Premiere, this is something revolutionary since there is no app in the AppStore as advanced in video editing like this one. Great job Adobe!!! For future updates try to make it so when you edit text you can zoom in and make it easier because if you have a phone it’s hard to edit the text. Other than that it’s an amazing app and recommend it a lot.
I have to buy Luma fusion
by blkstash on 2018/12/26 17:19
I have to buy a whole separate program that’s not within my workflow. I expected rush to be something great. I mean I figured out how to stack the footage on top of one another but it was a hassle... I have to go to clip to get something slowed done. And I can’t speed up clips. This is insane how am I supposed to work. Really and truly I should be able to do everything on premier pro here. Lol I’m sorry I hate to be a brat about it but I need it here. I need to be mobile I can used after effects on the desktop but you should seriously consider making that available for the pro.. if I was verified would you listen to me.. I’m just saying anyway I love yalls product this one is just trash.
Not worth $10/month
by bryan07734 on 2018/12/08 18:24
Apparently you only have 3 exports. After that, you need to pay $10 a month to export videos, you do get some storage, but that storage won’t be used, not in my case at least. It is better to get LumaFusion, a one time payment of $20 dollars with a lot more features than Rush. Overall paying $10/Month is pretty useless since it does not have many editing tools. It has the essentials, but does not have some useful ones such as splitting audio from video. Some better alternatives are: iMovie, Free but still has more functions than Rush LumaFusion, One time payment of $20 closest to professional editing software in a PC. In my opinion it is a professional editing software.
Importing/exporting
by Shades216 on 2019/03/07 17:39
For a movie editing app on a phone, this works fairly well. It’s certainly better than iMovie (though that’s not saying much). I understand the limited application of this kind of app compared to Premiere, and that would be fine, except for one major problem... I frequently have issues importing and exporting videos FROM MY PHONE for an app ON MY PHONE. Regularly I will import and have audio out of sync, video frozen, or pixelation going crazy. When I export, the usual problem I have is the audio being completely out of sync. I don’t know if this is because I’m on iPhone or what, but that really isn’t excusable in this day and age.
Potential
by Media-amp on 2019/06/24 17:11
If this program actually worked it might be decent. However it barely runs on my brand new latest gen iPad Pro. It cannot keep up with edits, it crashes repeatedly, edits disappear randomly, there is no solid audio manipulation, definitely not a quick workflow as every edit takes 30-60 seconds to actually be applied if they are at all, app cannot even properly back the clip after a few edits have been made so there is no real way to even see the changes you have made to your edits, it’s almost impossible to layer edits as the app just can’t handle it etc. etc. etc. In its current state it is definitely not worth spending any money on.
A complete waste of time
by Tobie_click on 2019/01/30 02:17
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Congratulations on being the first app to actually get me to write a review. What can I say, thank you for wasting two whole days of my life. This App kept crashing, was very slow, and finally, it isn’t letting me go back in to edit a video I have been working on, yes you guessed it, for two whole days now. I Called support and they couldn’t do anything. They said they know it’s an ongoing problem and are working to fix it. So you know it’s a problem and you still put it out and asked people to pay $10/ month. Please if you’re thinking of getting this, spare yourself the trouble and heartache. I will now proceed to mask my fury and dismay with sleep because that’s all I can do. Congratulations Adobe! 🍻
Good app OUTRAGEOUS PRICE
by RiversDirect on 2018/10/29 04:54
This app is pretty solid but you have to pay $9.99 per month to export after the first three times. That is a ridiculous price. Especially when you consider there are some really good competitors on the App Store for way less money. I went with an app called Luma Fusion which is a great editor like premier but for a one time payment of $15. Luma fusion is actually more powerful with more options and the price makes it the best option. In my opinion this app should be $20 or one or two dollars a month. No one is going to pay $10 a month when they’re so much cheaper and equal or better competition.
Too basic
by LueZuve on 2019/10/21 01:21
Having the Premiere name you would think this app would offer professional functionality but what you get is a very basic editor with mediocre tools.
Best video editor, if it opens
by Bradaraptrrr on 2019/02/03 22:03
As a professional videographer I can confirm this is one of the best and most intuitive video editing apps on the market and I wanted to give it five stars, but since it constantly fails to open I can only give it four. This problem might only happen with iOS devices, but appears to be pretty common and still unresolved. The only solutions, however temporary, are to reinstall the app or else restart the device. Adobe, please fix this bug so you can get the credit you deserve for making such a great app!
Horrible Experience
by JC Hatch on 2019/05/18 20:59
I purchased the phone and laptop versions of the app as well as the cloud space. I tried to use the app on my phone for 3 different projects and it crashed so often that I just deleted the app and re-installed it. I made sure my phone an iPhone XR, was updated and tried the phone app again. Crash-palooza. Horribly disappointed I tried the Mac version on my MacBook Pro. It also crashed and was a complete drag on my system. I just deleted the whole thing and I’m going to try to get my money back. I use other adobe products and have never had anything like this happen. I recommend saving your time and money and searching elsewhere for a slick movie making app.
Too Basic
by Jabren on 2019/03/23 16:10
This app would definitely be my number 1 editing format for my phone but unfortunately it doesn’t have many features that would make it 10x better. For example if I want to slow down a clip I’d have to export from adobe Ru then use another app to slow the clip down then re-import to Ru. Same goes for trying to reverse a clip, rotate, mirror, etc. I love this app because it’s a vary similar layout to premiere pro just some of these features would really make a difference in my work flow and I’m assuming with others too. Thanks
Looks nice but...
by PeanutPotatos on 2019/10/30 00:22
I was looking for a app that I could use to work on a project I have.
Pretty Useless
by collin_scott12 on 2019/03/07 15:21
Adobe’s Rush app is a failed opportunity by Adobe to break into on the go video editing. This app is missing the most basic of features with limited ability to do nothing more than iMovies can currently do (iMovies can do more). You cannot crop your films to desired sizes, you cannot control title locations outside of the presets provided by Adobe, you cannot control audio transitions, or even slice at a frame by frame level. Not to mention it takes forever for the app to start up on my brand new 12.9 inch 2018 iPad Pro. This app is promising with future updates adding more features and stability improvements, but Adobe has a long way to go before this app becomes useful for the majority of video editors.
It’s good but...
by ZayummmmmBae on 2018/12/25 18:39
I’ve had this app for a couple of days and so far it’s great! I like the text animations and being able to change the color of the project. There’s jsut a few things that I feel could make the app easier to use. For example if you add text, you can’t simply tap on it to move it. you have to go to a separate tab to do that, which is really tidious. From someone who uses iMovie A LOT, i like iMovie better as far as display and function goes. But I also like this app because of the extra features iMovie doesn’t.
Try before you bye
by danny11143 on 2019/02/08 10:38
This is a paid app, make no mistake, but luckily it only becomes mandatory to pay once you’ve exported three projects from it. There are worse apps out there, but adobe as a business needs to make money, and I understand. You can also get this for free if you already have a creative cloud plan, hence why the ratings are so high. That, or people haven’t exported their three projects yet. However, good color correction, decent though limited editing ability, and smooth exporting process. Not bad Adobe. Just not good at $9.99 a month when I can get LumaFusion forever for $20.
Good product so far
by joeyphd on 2019/08/31 09:12
Good product so far, would be five out of five if I could have exported 24fps which is what I shot in, for some reason it set itself to 30fps and I couldn’t change it. Maybe I missed something but I spent some time looking. Other then that love the title features, transition, exporting, filters, etc. I truly believe editors like this are the future of video editing. As someone who started on Adobe Premiere 4.0 I can’t say enough about this product. To me it is much more usable for the general public then Premiere.
Good start, but expected more
by Al 2007 on 2018/11/25 22:38
This is a good effort to bridge the gap between iOS and PC/Mac, but it needs more follow through. This app leaves one desiring more if they need to get things started and completed later. I would go as far as saying I like IMovie better, because editing is a lot easier. The one thing that I do like about the app is the color grading function. I really did not want to pay for LumaFusion because I have adobe and Final Cut Pro, but I feel it was necessary because this app leaves a lot to be desired. I really look forward to updates in the future, but for now I will be removing this app.
Easy to jump into
by adrained on 2019/06/04 05:11
The basics of editing here are great. A little more intuitive than iMovie. I really like the ability to crop and layer videos. Lots of great features and easy to use. What has not impressed me is the ability to manipulate text. I may not be on the biggest of iPads but being able to manipulate text was difficult and it was easy to screw yourself over — selecting a new style wipes out any text. Plus you can’t copy or paste. This might be a small thing for most people, but it cost me a bit of time.
This app fills me with a sense of dread
by DrFurly on 2019/08/26 03:11
I’m using a current gen iPad and paid for this app. Every time I use it I get filled with a sense of dread because it constantly glitches out in weird ways that prevent me from finishing projects. In the past it’s been the app constantly crashing with the editor open while not on WiFi, the app crashing during export which is the most heartbreaking, and right now I’m unable import audio, which worked last time I used the app. I really want to like this app because when it works it works well. But right now it doesn’t work at all because of the audio issue so I worked for several hours on a video that is now totally worthless to me.
Do they not test this app???
by searogers on 2019/04/03 14:15
This app has a lot of potential but unfortunately it just doesn't work 90% of the time. It freezes when opening, it freezes when importing media, it freezes when exporting projects. Basically it freezes pretty much every time you open the app with the extremely rare occasion that it actually functions. It does this no matter the condition of the phone; fully charged, as the only app running, plenty of storage, etc. It feels as if Adobe hasn't put much effort into any real product testing. It's unfortunate because, on the rare occasion that it does work, it has a ton of potential. But potential doesn't preclude actually working.

Took 45 minutes to render and didn’t work twice.
by Quaidonmars on 2019/11/15 16:44
Made a video that contained two screen recorded clips. I just put them one after the other. It took 30 minutes to render the first time and failed. Did it again and it took 45 minutes but now the video plays for about 45 seconds and then it stays on one frame with no audio. These were 1 minute clips. Pathetic. Adobe should be ashamed of putting their name on this trash of an app.

Well I had high hopes for a simple, intuitive video editing app that I could use on the fly with my iPad Pro but upon importing my video clip and trying the scrub through the clip, the app crashes. And this happens every. single. time. Why release the app if it’s going to be this buggy?! Smh.

Editing is great but clearly there are bugs
by Matt342516 on 2019/10/30 14:06
I’ve just tried to publish my first video to YouTube and I get an error message with the whole process being aborted (I have multiple YouTube accounts on my one google login which I believe is the problem). I now need to save the app on my device and upload it with another video app that can cope with these multiple accounts!
Looks nice but...

Way too glitchy

Constantly closing not exporting

Too basic
by LueZuve on 2019/10/21 01:21
Having the Premiere name you would think this app would offer professional functionality but what you get is a very basic editor with mediocre tools.

It won’t render videos.
by Eriqzaid on 2019/10/14 03:00
This app helps me edit videos great except that on my phone it's not very reliable when you try to render/export the video. My video will be in the middle of rendering and it will stop, crash, or have a pop up message saying “Unable to render successfully”. I keep trying to render the video but it still says the same thing/keeps crashing. Please fix this, I have an iPhone 6 Plus.
Horrible
by Charlijah on 2019/10/14 02:27
I’ve had this app for several months over three months and anytime I try to edit any type of video I always get an error saying my “upload has failed” .

Very easy for me- a total beginner
by Heidiho67 on 2019/10/11 12:52
Not gonna lie… Definitely referred to some YouTube tutorials to use this app, but in one day I was able to learn and now I’m ready to make many videos for my Facebook and Instagram posts for my business.

Hey You! Come read now!!

Excellent - can’t wait for it to grow with more features
by NHArtShop on 2018/10/16 14:44
Started using it last night.
