I appreciate what they’re trying to do but most of the stuff is overpriced! When it isn’t it overpriced, it sells quickly yet it remains listed for sale, sometimes days after it isn’t available! Horrible photos, often just one blurry photo!?

I filled it out no less than 5 times. Each time I double checked that all of my info was correct. Each time it did nothing. So I guess there’s no way to stop your personal info on this app from being sold to advertisers. I tried to talk to someone about it and there’s no chat subjects for this. When I asked to speak to an agent, I was 8th in line and that’s specifically to talk to someone about gear. Useless.

Annoying notifications even when I don't select them

I have been a loyal customer for many years, but you should know that annoying customers does not bring in more money. I have notifications on so I can get restock alerts for things I want to buy from you. I have all notifications off except for my product alerts, but I just got a notification advertising that I can trade or sell my gear to you for same day payment. So now I have ALL notifications off and won't know when things are in stock. I can just buy them from other shops instead. Update: even with all notifications off, I just got another advertising notification. Time to delete your app.

I WAS LIED TO ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS REGARDING AN ORDER. I WAS TOLD I HAD OVER 200 DOLLARS IN CREDIT AND I PLACED 2 ORDERS WITH THAT SO CALLED CREDIT JUST FOR THOSE ORDERS TO BE CANCELLED AND WHERE I HAD TO CALL 8 TIMES IN A ROW AFTER ALREADY SPENDING 2 HOURS ON THE PHONE WITH INCOMPETENT SO CALLED REPS THAT JUST KEPT NOT HELPING ME OUT. I think the app needs an update. Issues are: images don’t load or take too long, search bar is awkward because auto correct engages. This is weird when you have to input model numbers and auto correct keeps “fixing” them. Also, search bar keeps your last search, so you end up typing a new search item which tacks onto your old one. Ex: “12String guitarPro Tools.” Lastly, app crashed on me. Ended up going to the website. Hope to see this improved soon.

Can't view past purchases of any kind. Can't view order status or history. When you try to communicate with them, you get no response. When you try to buy something you may not always get it because they'll send you an email saying that it is back ordered or they simply won't do anything BUT they'll definitely charge your Gear card account and good luck trying to get Synchrony and Guitar Center to take it off, forcing you to pay for gear you never bought or have your credit score affected.

Ik how so many people have given this app a 4 or 5, the app won’t show your orders, continuously say log in attempt failed even though you already logged in, won’t show any pictures of products when you press them, continuous error messages even if you’re just scrolling through the app, like how is this company allowing to happen on their main app... oh wait they claimed bankruptcy now it makes sense. But forreal just use the website the app isn’t worth taking space up in your phone use your space for like among us or something.

I love your company. Been buying from it for over 20 years. Already have a used crate cab coming in the mail now, then buying a used head after that’s paid off and so on...... only thing I will complain about is your packaging. It is packed great and super safe but the outside doesn’t hide what’s in the box at all. I’ve had people walk up to my house and almost take guitars and an amp in the past cause the box it was in literally showed what it was (especially guitar boxes. Last one was in a fender guitar box, guitar and logo in huge font on the outside of the box). I wish so much that the gear would be in a plain box and guitars wouldn’t be in those obviously guitars shaped box. Besides that, absolutely satisfied with your company all around and can’t wait to get more gear when this latest is paid off.

Great app, the filtering and refined search needs to be changed/fixed to be more user friendly and less of a pain in the a*@. Maybe more of a Craigslist style filter system? Idk. That’s the only thing I don’t like. I find it VERY frustrating though

This app tends to erase your saved searches and alerts seemingly at random. This makes you miss out when an item you are hoping to get pops up but you miss it due to the broken saved search alerts.

Yeah, you can order musical equipment off of it. Is it worth the app? No. I found myself to be finding a way to access the items in my cart, more than the selection process to put items in my cart! What do I mean? I mean when you open the app, the icon showing how many items are in your cart is absent, and when clicking, your cart is empty. The only way to solve this is to add an item to your cart and then go straight to your cart. It has categories for items they don’t even possess. When liking or disliking a comment does not actually do anything, I went back to check a comment and my dislike was gone. Besides it being slow, it kind of convenient. Could be better. 6/10.

Over all good content. However many days it simply won’t Open or when it does it closes almost immediately afterwards. It seems a little bit of tech work would be required before the next release is that contemplated deleting the app several times out of frustration.

2020 guitar sales record high for all companies except GC. I know why. I wanna search in a range of guitar location and price...then kicks me out of local search to nationwide. IDownloaded the app, ok great I thought. Sadly listing guitars 1 by 1 scrolling down with no locations. Click on a Tele in Ohio, bright me to a Tele in Arizona. I’m not a jerk, I love the company, but you need me or someone to put your app/ web site together. Pay some real people to do photographs not the guy sellin guitars who can play one.

I love this app and when searching for the goods and In regards to the Champaign illinois GC, I love this store and and the fast shipping. I live in illinois (hence Champaign store)so delivery takes 3 days. My son will try out a guitar(s) for 2-3 hours here on any given day and when he finds one he likes we order a brand new one with a warranty and life is good. The 45 day trial period seemed to good to be true so when we took one back on 44th day they were just as friendly as the day we bought and they didn’t get upset or bothered by it (business as usual) the staff here are very helpful and knowledgeable, busy but not to busy to stop and help you out or even have a small chat with you.

It seems you can only see the pictures of the products in the initial search. Once you click a product, if you’re on cell signal, it won’t load the pictures of the products. If on WiFi the pictures will load up. There’s also no option in the settings to allow picture load on cell signal. Just WiFi. It’s frustration because I see a cool guitar in my search and click on it and it says “picture coming soon”. It would be nice to have an option to allow loading pictures of the products with cell signal.

Orders don’t display, app crashes frequently, buttons constantly stop working requiring force-close, search filters don’t work reliably, among other issues. These are longtime problems.

Whenever I have purchased anything it’s always been high-quality good customer service. My only complaint is you do not give a fair price for used equipment for instants I trade it in for cash out of the box brand new Pearl Drum kit complete with all the hardware I paid over 1500 for the kit you gave me less than $300. I feel I was taking a vantage of. I know in the future if I have used equipment or something I’m not gonna use I will not bring it to your company to trade less I get a fair market price which I will have a price in mind when I come in the next Time to sell something. I do know as a business person you have to make a profit you have to also give a fair price for what you purchase thank you very much. Rev Kenneth John McDermott Ph.D.

I had Allen Park Guitar Center install new strings on my guitar. I’ve lost the expert tech’s name. After looking it over he phoned me and went over the many problems that old guitar had. Since the cost probably would exceed what I paid for it in 1971, I declined to go that far into it. But because he was so informative I knew what I was facing in the future. An “expert” said this guitar would probably sell for $200 to $300 in today’s market if pristine. I managed to get $150 which was a win-win. Going back to GC for a new keyboard. Thanks for great service.

I’ve been trying to look up my [extensive] Order History... yet, the GC website is showing that I have NO orders to display - and that’s whether I select a short calendar period (3 months), or 2 years. Regardless of time period, GC is stating that I have NO orders. 🤔 ...Wonder if I can get them to refund all that money I spent on nothing??

Basic shopping, search, display filters work fine. Screen goes blank when you try to read any and all reviews. Screen goes blank when you try to see app settings. Better to just go to the GC web site.

The worse shopping experience outside of almost being arrested outside a bank that I belong to. A man hands me a dirty mask or used one with a glove on that he had been sweating in for hours. It really made me want to throw up. Also would not or could not answer questions I had about products with the slight amount of friendly service. It happened on more then one occasion. They also had no selection 2 dj mixers in the entire store. And they were on demo but I couldn’t use them. This is my rating a 0 compared to a 9 which I receive at the guitar center in park meadows which I have been going there for almost since its opening, even through the name changes. I would rate that store a 9 but only 90% of the time. The bad there is sometimes under staffed.

This app dies EASILY! Now before you tell me to see if there is an update, to be sure my iOS is updated, etc... I used to work for Apple. I’m VERY certain that my devices are all running correctly, with full updates, proper network connection, etc. The problems are absolutely with the APP. GC App will take forever to update search perimeters: like if you search for something, and half the results are used - to switch it to new will take several minutes... and may just crash the app. There are problems with the way your personal account works. Yes, they’ve tried to do nice things like adding wishlists, etc.. but you will have to login every time you do something to your account (and no, there is no setting to control this). Aside from searching... the overall stock at GC is NOT organized/tagged well enough to thoroughly browse products. Clearly GC is using this app to try and sell used gear (I have NO problem with that). So the MAJORITY of products here are used. You can filter those out if you want (which may crash the app), but it shows them by default. I don’t mind looking at used gear, but LOTS of it has no pictures, missing information, errors, etc. It seems like they automatically post used gear in the app once it goes into the store - but the store hasn’t yet updated the info. Crashes. THIS APP WILL CRASH!! That’s an absolute promise. It’s not a matter of your phone being overwhelmed, not a question of updates... it’s just an app that really hasn’t been properly fixed for years. My guess is that they do what’s necessary to accommodate newer iOS versions... but it’s FILLED with bugs. (I’m writing this just after updating to the newest version). And yeah.. crashes. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 ONLY because there are no ads (the one thing that saves it). But it needs some serious work. Managers, developers, people at Guitar Center... as business people, I’m sure you’re doing SWOT discussions. Let me help.. a weakness is your app! In this age, a good app isn’t just appropriate, it’s a minimum requirement. And an opportunity is hiring someone to build your online presence the right way (it’s seriously lacking). And now- with your financial problems... with the financial issues at Gibson, Fender, etc... and now with people doing social distancing.. shopping online more. NOW is the time to get this done. Yeah, your struggling right now. But this app is absolutely necessary for your success. I’ve watched the struggles of GC, and I’m not surprised. Don’t get me wrong, I’m rooting for you! But this is simple... your app is similar to your in-store experience. Really hope you make some changes and fix it.

The app doesn’t sync with your account online, so if you save items to a wish list on the app, the website will erase it and override it. Also you can’t move items between lists on the app. The store is great. The app is woefully far behind the curve.

Every time I pick a brand of guitar the list go back to A. Why can’t I continue where I left of? If I leave off at Fender and want to scroll to Ibanez it would make things easier rather than go backwards.

Upgraded app and it crashes every time I open it. It doesn’t even get past the main screen. I’m running iOS 13.5.1 and Sadly I didn’t have any issues with the previous version. Sadder yet can’t go back to the older version. I hope you’re planning on fixing this soon.

I downloaded the app, enabled location and notifications, made sure I had the most recent IOS update, and the app still crashed when I opened it. I retried, double checked everything, and it crashed again, so, naturally, I deleted the app and reinstalled it, making sure the app itself was updated- which it was- then retried opening the app once again only for it to do the same thing. I don’t know if maybe it’s a problem with my phone, though I don’t have a problem with any other apps. Guitar Center, please fix any bug problems/crashes.

I had an issue exchanging an item at the Tehama Ridge store in Ft Worth Tx, where I buy everything from Jon who’s awesome. He was gone the day I was going in to make an exchange and the manager that day said over the phone to come right in , and we should be able to work something out since it’s past their 45 day policy. I did have the Pro Plan which I was told allows 60 days for a return or exchange which I was still within. After the manager says come on in, I went right over and I asked for her, and they ALL said she wasn’t in. Imagine that. The 5 people standing around at the register all knew about this, which I didn’t think was a big deal. I said ok, but I will not be back to this store, and one young man , said no problem, by. I went to see Zach at the Ft Worth Hulen store after contacting customer service at their corporate office. He was awesome, took care of the exchange and I was out of the store which is 30 minutes further for me, within 15 minutes. Great Customer Service!!!! We’ll drive the extra 30 min.

I’d give it a 0 star if possible. The search option only works if you’re super specific and have the correct spelling, you can’t just say “bass amp head” cause it will say “no results found” but if you put in ‘bass amplification head’ it’ll show everything on the under that category. So you gotta be very specific about what you want and spell it right which is weird cause some companies like to combine words that don’t spell out like you would think so it’s hard to find something if you don’t know the exact spelling. But on the GC website you can type any general word and it’ll bring back more results that match that keyword even if you don’t spell it right. Most times it won’t display every item under the category anyway so you could possibly miss something you been looking for thinking they just didnt carry that item at their store. That’s a big issue. It’s just a weak app in my opinion. I really only use the app to track my online orders since the website has better functionality. So it needs a better search capability, more detailed descriptions on the items for sale and more pictures on new and used items. If they fixed those issues it would be a decent app but at this point it’s absolutely worthless for anything other than tracking online orders.

Typically, the app runs fine. I’ve been using it for a while now. Just browsing, sometimes it crashes when you’re right in the middle of searching for something. I think the biggest (and most frustrating) problem I’ve had is with checkout. If you use a coupon (like the 15% off deals the send out all the time), make sure what you want is in your cart and wait until the payment screen to input it. Not the very first “proceed to checkout” screen. It’ll glitch somewhere in between the two. If you input the coupon on the first screen, it’ll mess up when you get to payments. But now you can’t go back and redo it, because the system already “used” your coupon. What follows is a very long and difficult conversation with Guitar Center employees. Luckily, the guys at my store know me, and know I wouldn’t try to double dip a coupon like that. I like Guitar Center a lot, and I want to see it prosper. I understand this app has a lot of data and variables that it must sift through, so I get why it glitches. It’d just be nice to not have to go through limbo with it.
New electric player

I tried to play acoustic back in the day. I was at a Bob Dylan concert here in Philadelphia about a week after that infamous concert where Bob brought out an electric band. After that I put down my guitar till last summer. It was then Lennon and the crew at GC Plymouth Meeting changed everything. I bought my first electric guitar, an Epiphone Sheridan, solid black, gold trim, humbuckers. Top of the world. It kept breaking. Female jack head fell off inside 3 times in the first two months; stripped washer assembly. Then it went mute and then the pandemic hit. Locked in till July,Fortunately I had gotten a good used Ibanez Roadstar II on a whim. Today I finally could get to GC. They were more than happy to take the Epiphone. I was more than happy to buy a Fender Stratocaster. I have listened to Guitar Rock Stars all my life, but when I go to GC they make me feel like one.

I love your company. Been buying from it for over 20 years. Already have a used crate cab coming in the mail now, then buying a used head after that’s paid off and so on...... only thing I will complain about is your packaging. It is packed great and super safe but the outside doesn’t hide what’s in the box at all. I’ve had people walk up to my house and almost take guitars and an amp in the past cause the box it was in literally showed what it was (especially guitar boxes. Last one was in a fender guitar box, guitar and logo in huge font on the outside of the box). I wish so much that the gear would be in a plain box and guitars wouldn’t be in those obviously guitars shaped box. Besides that, absolutely satisfied with your company all around and can’t wait to get more gear when this latest is paid off.

I love this app and when searching for the goods and In regards to the Champaign illinois GC, I love this store and and the fast shipping. I live in illinois (hence Champaign store)so delivery takes 3 days. My son will try out a guitar(s) for 2-3 hours here on any given day and when he finds one he likes we order a brand new one with a warranty and life is good. The 45 day trial period seemed to good to be true so when we took one back on 44th day they were just as friendly as the day we bought and they didn’t get upset or bothered by it (business as usual) the staff here are very helpful and knowledgeable, busy but not to busy to stop and help you out or even have a small chat with you.

GC app has always, always stunk. At least at this point I can actually stay logged into my account and basically browse items without everything screwing up or crashing... sort of. Search refinement doesn’t work on iPad, so good luck sifting through thousands of guitars. Still not ready to actually try to place an order through the app again - too scared/scarred from previous experiences that were frustrating and impossible to place an accurate order through the app. I am a loyal GC customer, even if every time - EVERY TIME - I order a “new” guitar they try to pass off a floor model or a damaged/returned item and I have to go through the return process to “have one shipped directly from the warehouse.” They have a great selection and always good promos. But the app is a poor approximation of their web experience, which is average at best and horribly buggy if one is being completely honest.

Great service on my 1964 Welson Electric Guitar!! Also went in and ordered a Yamaha APX500lll black thin line acoustic guitar and the next day I received a e-mail with a tracking # that the order was sent !! That's quick service!!!! Staff was very helpful with my purchase also of a capo , picks , clip on tuner , and a gig bag !! I had a few questions and they were very patient with me trying to find what I needed and what was best for my needs !!! Once my guitar arrives and I pick up my 1964 Welson , I will not hesitate to purchase other products I will be needing !! What a nice experience to walk into a store and the staff not only makes you feel comfortable but also welcomes your questions !!!

Have tried many small Ma and Pa shops just felt the need to support. But they just couldn't deliver anything i couldn’t find myself on the internet for the same price. I imagine we were both shopping in the same place. Not much help there. And no discount with zero freebies. Guitar Center however has most everything you want to hold feel and play, i have made 5 major purchases through them and it has always been a good positive feeling during it all. Thank you Guitar Center for the trusting partnership.

While I applaud how your store in Farmington Michigan is handling the Covid situation, I am disappointed by your salespersons error. I run a karaoke business. I called ahead to make sure I could get a set of Gem Stone wireless microphones and a couple of mic stands. I asked twice, once on the phone and once while in the store if I needed adapters for the microphones so I can use them with the stands. The gentleman on the phone said yes, however when I asked for them while I was in the store I was told no I don’t need them. Sure enough when I got home I discovered I do need them. Now I have to drive another 30 minutes each way again just to get what I was looking for. I even asked the guy in the store if he was sure and he answered “positive “. Frustrating!!!!

The worse shopping experience outside of almost being arrested outside a bank that I belong to. A man hands me a dirty mask or used one with a glove on that he had been sweating in for hours. It really made me want to throw up. Also would not or could not answer questions I had about products with the slight amount of friendly service. It happened on more then one occasion. They also had no selection 2 dj mixers in the entire store. And they were on demo but I couldn’t use them. This is my rating a 0 compared to a 9 which I receive at the guitar center in park meadows which I have been going there for almost since its opening, even through the name changes. I would rate that store a 9 but only 90% of the time. The bad there is sometimes under staffed.

I had Allen Park Guitar Center install new strings on my guitar. I’ve lost the expert tech’s name. After looking it over he phoned me and went over the many problems that old guitar had. Since the cost probably would exceed what I paid for it in 1971, I declined to go that far into it. But because he was so informative I knew what I was facing in the future. An “expert” said this guitar would probably sell for $200 to $300 in today’s market if pristine. I managed to get $150 which was a win-win. Going back to GC for a new keyboard. Thanks for great service.

I have nothing but great things too say about guitar center (Nordhoff/valley)! I’ve bought several items from them two guitars/amps/etc and the whole process has been flawless best part guitar/amps go on sale a week or so later no problem they got right up in there and honored the sale price..... like I said unbelievable customer service/ great selection/unbeatable prices/shout out to the managers and all the really helpful employees it’s cause of you’re attention to detail I’ll be a lifelong customer🙏👍

Being married to a RN (travel nurse) we find ourselves in many locations. In the last year I/we have purchased a few guitars, amplifiers, and accessories with purchases from many locations within the US. At all locations we were greeted in a friendly manner and answered all questions in a professional courteous manner. I would be hard pressed to even entertain the idea of going anywhere else to start my search for any musical related item.

Yeah, you can order musical equipment off of it. Is it worth the app? No. I found myself to be finding a way to access the items in my cart, more than the selection process to put items in my cart! What do I mean? I mean when you open the app, the icon showing how many items are in your cart is absent, and when clicking, your cart is empty. The only way to solve this is to add an item to your cart and then go straight to your cart. It has categories for items they don’t even possess. When liking or disliking a comment does not actually do anything, I went back to check a comment and my dislike was gone. Besides it being slow, it kind of convenient. Could be better. 6/10.

It seems you can only see the pictures of the products in the initial search. Once you click a product, if you’re on cell signal, it won’t load the pictures of the products. If on WiFi the pictures will load up. There’s also no option in the settings to allow picture load on cell signal. Just WiFi. It’s frustration because I see a cool guitar in my search and click on it and it says “picture coming soon”. It would be nice to have an option to allow loading pictures of the products with cell signal.

Trying to order thru this app is very aggravating. All I wanted to do was order strings for my ukulele. I’ve bought instruments, music books and accessories from guitar center. The service at the stores is excellent but the app has me wanting to never shop there again. How many times do I have to add my phone number? 17 times before it finally allowed me to put my order in. I’m beginning to think that I can better get my supplies for my ukulele elsewhere. Oh.. did I mention the constant crashing of the app. What happened guys? Your app at one time was awesome! Your app was what got me to become your customer and now you app is what is driving me straight to your competitors!

Whenever I have purchased anything it’s always been high-quality good customer service. My only complaint is you do not give a fair price for used equipment for instants I trade it in for cash out of the box brand new Pearl Drum kit complete with all the hardware I paid over 1500 for the kit you gave me less than $300. I feel I was taking a vantage of. I know in the future if I have used equipment or something I’m not gonna use I will not bring it to your company to trade less I get a fair market price which I will have a price in mind when I come in the next Time to sell something. When I say it glitches, I mean a few things. I might go to look at my wish list and have it tell me I have none, so I uninstall, reinstall, and it works. Then a few days later, I’ll go in and the app crashes, and will continue until I uninstall, reinstall, and it will work. Then today, anything I put into the search bar will bring up a “no results found” page, so I uninstalled, reinstalled, and am going to try it again. I’ve done this cycle on probably 5 different occasions now. The app itself is amazing in pretty much every way, it just has a lot of glitches for me. I will absolutely continue to use it, I just hope that they might look into these problems at some point.👍 Update: still nothing comes up in search. I’m thinking that it might just be a system error... hoping they fix it soon because I can’t really browse... Update 2: My wish lists are missing again today.

Guitar Center is nothing but awesome. Best music, instrument store that exists. Cool sales folks who are honest and always willing to answer all my questions on the spot and offer great suggestions. I’m not rich and they don’t hold it against me, they hook me up with the Best gear that I can get for my bucks and I’ve never been let down with any purchase I’ve ever made. I have some great guitars, drums, and gear only because Guitar Center exists.
Need better in store inventory updates

I Have ordered a few times from the app and I love how it shows what items are in stock in the specific store for curbside pick up. However twice my orders have been delayed because they have to get a item shipped to their store EVEN THOUGH it says that the item was in stock in that store to begin with. Employees at GC can’t do anything for it and check store to see inventory. GC says it’s a miscount on items on the floor. This happened twice and it’s hard to get something returned as well!

Great specials and the few times I’ve needed to return an item, there was never an issue. I’ve shopped at GC for a long time and have spent more money than I should. The staff at my local store were awesome, but online customer service is terrible. I contacted them 5 times and only got a response from one person in 4 days. Each staff member said they’d call back, but none never did. There was a Verifications issue and they never contacted me, I had to contact them. At this point I’m hoping everything is ok with my package so I don’t have to contact again.

Can't view past purchases of any kind. Can't view order status or history. When you try to communicate with them, you get no response. When you try to buy something you may not always get it because they'll send you an email saying that it is back ordered or they simply won't do anything BUT they'll definitely charge your Gear card account and good luck trying to get Synchrony and Guitar Center to take it off, forcing you to pay for gear you never bought or have your credit score affected.

I have used this app for awhile now. A few updates ago the ability to search stores and then link directly to that store to search inventory there stopped working. Since then, another update and not only is that function still not working, the whole app is glitchy, slow (when it’s not freezing entirely), and just plain frustrating. Not sure what IT initiative is driving this continuous quality decline but it sure seems like nobody is actually testing the user functionality of new versions before releasing them.
I just wanted what I paid for.

I had pro coverage on my JBL Speakers 5 that had been broken. I first was told to print out the labels and pay for shipping myself but because I didn’t understand why I had to ship myself when I paid for pro coverage I came back to ask again. Then I was told they would ship it for me. Finally that was done and I end up receiving my money back though e-gift and it ends up not even being enough to pay for the speakers I originally had. But because of time I decided to buy another pair of speakers. I just want what I paid for “Pro Coverage” I got “Minor League Coverage”

A mobile app would be so much better than the website! So I downloaded and started using it. Awesome! Then I used the following path: Used gear->used basses->used electric basses->filter results. Freezes every time on the filter options screen. Every time I have to restart the app and try again with the exact same results. It’s a bummer, especially because when I do the same search but for used amps it flows seamlessly, no freezes whatsoever. Please fix it folks and I’ll keep using it, and will revise my review.

I downloaded the app, enabled location and notifications, made sure I had the most recent IOS update, and the app still crashed when I opened it. I retried, double checked everything, and it crashed again, so, naturally, I deleted the app and reinstalled it, making sure the app itself was updated- which it was- then retried opening the app once again only for it to do the same thing. I don’t know if maybe it’s a problem with my phone, though I don’t have a problem with any other apps. Guitar Center, please fix any bug problems/crashes.

I think the app needs an update. Issues are: images don’t load or take too long, search bar is awkward because auto correct engages. This is weird when you have to input model numbers and auto correct keeps “fixing” them. Also, search bar keeps your last search, so you end up typing a new search item which tacks onto your old one. Ex: “12String guitarPro Tools.” Lastly, app crashed on me. Ended up going to the website. Hope to see this improved soon.

Ik how so many people have given this app a 4 or 5, the app won’t show your orders, continuously say log in attempt failed even though you already logged in, won’t show any pictures of products when you press them, continuous error messages even if you’re just scrolling through the app, like how is this company allowing to happen on their main app... oh wait they claimed bankruptcy now it makes sense. But forreal just use the website the app isn’t worth taking space up in your phone use your space for like among us or something.

I bought a Boss GT 10 and recently an HELIX LT which has the most amazing effects set up. I used to think guitar center was fair in dealing with used guitars. My guitars are pristine and even though I planned on buying another guitar from San Marcos guitar center they only offered me about 35% of the retail value for my guitar. I then tried to buy a Godin guitar but had to order it many weeks ahead of time. I found it on another web site for cheaper and they shipped it to me within days! Obviously Guitar Center does not care as much as they used to. From now on I’ll only go there simple items like cords and picks, but nothing big.

On my last visit to guitar center I purchased a nice vox amp and the staff were instrumental in me making a good decision to purchase the one I did over a more expensive yet not really that useful to me due to my playing type marshall. This is just one occasion out of many where they have steered me back into the right mindset.

I enjoy using the app over the website; however, I do wish that you could sign into your account through Facebook on the app. I created my account on my laptop with my Facebook but I can’t sign in through the email and password route and having the ability to just sign in through Facebook would be a lot easier.

Plenty of great gear to look at. But it does me no good when I can’t buy any of it! When I add products to my cart and try to check out, it just keeps going back to the same page. I could never actually purchase any of it. Update: now, it won’t allow me to see all the stores where certain products are a available. I live in LA county and it only shows me guitar center shows in to the east of me (in Orange County , San Bernardino County, etc) . It shows me ZERO stores in my actual area , including my home store. FIX THIS!

The app doesn’t sync with your account online, so if you save items to a wish list on the app, the website will erase it and override it. Also you can’t move items between lists on the app. The store is great. The app is woefully far behind the curve.

I wrote a review within the app based on the guitar I wanted and the sales process. The review was less than favorable and included the location and name of the employee who served me. He tried to sell me a damaged guitar at full price! He got it from the back room, the package was open and damaged (as well as the guitar) and was even missing parts! He tried to get me to pay for it before inspecting the item. He knew of the damage but explained it was the last one. I declined the sale and went elsewhere for my purchase. I will never go back! Slow delivery. Cost more than anyone. Overpriced. But when YOUR the only go to? We have. .... to wait it out. We spend top dollar. Why not be a top store for us. On the road, when your desperate , and you Need equipment right then, or yesterday ? Even when you drag out everything in your Equipment box. There is always something left behind that’s frustrating enough. Still ,Go out and play. Right? Extra load on the mind. When getting in tone , takes longer to concentrate. That’s a drag.

I had been saving up for a drum set for a while and searching for the perfect one. One day a new item popped up and it fit my criteria perfectly, so I decided to buy a 700$ gift card buy the drum set along with new heads and cymbals. Then, after I order the drum set, I get an order confirmation saying the USED item is backordered. A USED item, there’s ONE. So I called, and apparently a guy bought it already, and they decided not to take it off their inventory. Now I’m searching for a new one, still haven’t found the right one.

The app is pretty good. It’s easy to search, view inventory at individual stores, and order. My only complaint is that the app seems to crash fairly often. Otherwise, it seems to have improved since the last version.

Purchased a Gibson guitar that was advertised, priced, and offered as new. Was called from the store that had it and advised was a scratched, damaged, over 2 years on the floor model. They offered a deep discount, but only after I questioned why used was being sold as new and only confirmed damage to the guitar (otherwise why discount so heavily?). When called main customer service was told this is fairly common for guitar center to offer merchandise as new on the site and app even though used and demo models. Buyer beware!!!!

I appreciate what they’re trying to do but most of the stuff is overpriced! When it isn’t it overpriced, it sells quickly yet it remains listed for sale, sometimes days after it isn’t available! Horrible photos, often just one blurry photo!?

I filled it out no less than 5 times. Each time I double checked that all of my info was correct. Each time it did nothing. So I guess there’s no way to stop your personal info on this app from being sold to advertisers. I tried to talk to someone about it and there’s no chat subjects for this. When I asked to speak to an agent, I was 8th in line and that’s specifically to talk to someone about gear. Useless.

I have been a loyal customer for many years, but you should know that annoying customers does not bring in more money. I have notifications on so I can get restock alerts for things I want to buy from you. I have all notifications off except for my product alerts, but I just got a notification advertising that I can trade or sell my gear to you for same day payment. So now I have ALL notifications off and won't know when things are in stock. I can just buy them from other shops instead. Update: even with all notifications off, I just got another advertising notification. Time to delete your app.

I think the app needs an update. Issues are: images don’t load or take too long, search bar is awkward because auto correct engages. This is weird when you have to input model numbers and auto correct keeps “fixing” them. Also, search bar keeps your last search, so you end up typing a new search item which tacks onto your old one. Ex: “12String guitarPro Tools.” Lastly, app crashed on me. Ended up going to the website. Hope to see this improved soon.

Can't view past purchases of any kind. Can't view order status or history. When you try to communicate with them, you get no response. When you try to buy something you may not always get it because they'll send you an email saying that it is back ordered or they simply won't do anything BUT they'll definitely charge your Gear card account and good luck trying to get Synchrony and Guitar Center to take it off, forcing you to pay for gear you never bought or have your credit score affected.

Ik how so many people have given this app a 4 or 5, the app won’t show your orders, continuously say log in attempt failed even though you already logged in, won’t show any pictures of products when you press them, continuous error messages even if you’re just scrolling through the app, like how is this company allowing to happen on their main app... oh wait they claimed bankruptcy now it makes sense. But forreal just use the website the app isn’t worth taking space up in your phone use your space for like among us or something.

I love your company. Been buying from it for over 20 years. Already have a used crate cab coming in the mail now, then buying a used head after that’s paid off and so on...... only thing I will complain about is your packaging. It is packed great and super safe but the outside doesn’t hide what’s in the box at all. I’ve had people walk up to my house and almost take guitars and an amp in the past cause the box it was in literally showed what it was (especially guitar boxes. Last one was in a fender guitar box, guitar and logo in huge font on the outside of the box). I wish so much that the gear would be in a plain box and guitars wouldn’t be in those obviously guitars shaped box. Besides that, absolutely satisfied with your company all around and can’t wait to get more gear when this latest is paid off.

Yeah, you can order musical equipment off of it. Is it worth the app? No. I found myself to be finding a way to access the items in my cart, more than the selection process to put items in my cart! What do I mean? I mean when you open the app, the icon showing how many items are in your cart is absent, and when clicking, your cart is empty. The only way to solve this is to add an item to your cart and then go straight to your cart. It has categories for items they don’t even possess. When liking or disliking a comment does not actually do anything, I went back to check a comment and my dislike was gone. Besides it being slow, it kind of convenient. Could be better. 6/10.

2020 guitar sales record high for all companies except GC. I know why. I wanna search in a range of guitar location and price...then kicks me out of local search to nationwide. IDownloaded the app, ok great I thought. Sadly listing guitars 1 by 1 scrolling down with no locations. Click on a Tele in Ohio, bright me to a Tele in Arizona. I’m not a jerk, I love the company, but you need me or someone to put your app/ web site together. Pay some real people to do photographs not the guy sellin guitars who can play one.

I love this app and when searching for the goods and In regards to the Champaign illinois GC, I love this store and and the fast shipping. I live in illinois (hence Champaign store)so delivery takes 3 days. My son will try out a guitar(s) for 2-3 hours here on any given day and when he finds one he likes we order a brand new one with a warranty and life is good. The 45 day trial period seemed to good to be true so when we took one back on 44th day they were just as friendly as the day we bought and they didn’t get upset or bothered by it (business as usual) the staff here are very helpful and knowledgeable, busy but not to busy to stop and help you out or even have a small chat with you.

It seems you can only see the pictures of the products in the initial search. Once you click a product, if you’re on cell signal, it won’t load the pictures of the products. If on WiFi the pictures will load up. There’s also no option in the settings to allow picture load on cell signal. Just WiFi. It’s frustration because I see a cool guitar in my search and click on it and it says “picture coming soon”. It would be nice to have an option to allow loading pictures of the products with cell signal.

Whenever I have purchased anything it’s always been high-quality good customer service. My only complaint is you do not give a fair price for used equipment for instants I trade it in for cash out of the box brand new Pearl Drum kit complete with all the hardware I paid over 1500 for the kit you gave me less than $300. I feel I was taking a vantage of. I know in the future if I have used equipment or something I’m not gonna use I will not bring it to your company to trade less I get a fair market price which I will have a price in mind when I come in the next Time to sell something. I had Allen Park Guitar Center install new strings on my guitar. I’ve lost the expert tech’s name. After looking it over he phoned me and went over the many problems that old guitar had. Since the cost probably would exceed what I paid for it in 1971, I declined to go that far into it. But because he was so informative I knew what I was facing in the future. An “expert” said this guitar would probably sell for $200 to $300 in today’s market if pristine. I managed to get $150 which was a win-win. Going back to GC for a new keyboard. Thanks for great service.

The worse shopping experience outside of almost being arrested outside a bank that I belong to. A man hands me a dirty mask or used one with a glove on that he had been sweating in for hours. It really made me want to throw up. Also would not or could not answer questions I had about products with the slight amount of friendly service. It happened on more then one occasion. They also had no selection 2 dj mixers in the entire store. And they were on demo but I couldn’t use them. This is my rating a 0 compared to a 9 which I receive at the guitar center in park meadows which I have been going there for almost since its opening, even through the name changes. I would rate that store a 9 but only 90% of the time. The bad there is sometimes under staffed.

This app dies EASILY! Now before you tell me to see if there is an update, to be sure my iOS is updated, etc... I used to work for Apple. I’m VERY certain that my devices are all running correctly, with full updates, proper network connection, etc. The problems are absolutely with the APP. GC App will take forever to update search perimeters: like if you search for something, and half the results are used - to switch it to new will take several minutes... and may just crash the app. There are problems with the way your personal account works. Yes, they’ve tried to do nice things like adding wishlists, etc.. but you will have to login every time you do something to your account (and no, there is no setting to control this). Aside from searching... the overall stock at GC is NOT organized/tagged well enough to thoroughly browse products. Clearly GC is using this app to try and sell used gear (I have NO problem with that). So the MAJORITY of products here are used. You can filter those out if you want (which may crash the app), but it shows them by default. I don’t mind looking at used gear, but LOTS of it has no pictures, missing information, errors, etc. It seems like they automatically post used gear in the app once it goes into the store - but the store hasn’t yet updated the info. Crashes. THIS APP WILL CRASH!! That’s an absolute promise. It’s not a matter of your phone being overwhelmed, not a question of updates... it’s just an app that really hasn’t been properly fixed for years. My guess is that they do what’s necessary to accommodate newer iOS versions... but it’s FILLED with bugs. (I’m writing this just after updating to the newest version). And yeah.. crashes. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 ONLY because there are no ads (the one thing that saves it). But it needs some serious work. Managers, developers, people at Guitar Center... as business people, I’m sure you’re doing SWOT discussions. Let me help.. a weakness is your app! In this age, a good app isn’t just appropriate, it’s a minimum requirement. And an opportunity is hiring someone to build your online presence the right way (it’s seriously lacking). And now- with your financial problems... with the financial issues at Gibson, Fender, etc... and now with people doing social distancing.. shopping online more. NOW is the time to get this done. Yeah, your struggling right now. But this app is absolutely necessary for your success. I’ve watched the struggles of GC, and I’m not surprised. Don’t get me wrong, I’m rooting for you! But this is simple... your app is similar to your in-store experience. Really hope you make some changes and fix it.

I downloaded the app, enabled location and notifications, made sure I had the most recent IOS update, and the app still crashed when I opened it. I retried, double checked everything, and it crashed again, so, naturally, I deleted the app and reinstalled it, making sure the app itself was updated- which it was- then retried opening the app once again only for it to do the same thing. I don’t know if maybe it’s a problem with my phone, though I don’t have a problem with any other apps. Guitar Center, please fix any bug problems/crashes.

I had an issue exchanging an item at the Tehama Ridge store in Ft Worth Tx, where I buy everything from Jon who’s awesome. He was gone the day I was going in to make an exchange and the manager that day said over the phone to come right in , and we should be able to work something out since it’s past their 45 day policy. I did have the Pro Plan which I was told allows 60 days for a return or exchange which I was still within. After the manager says come on in, I went right over and I asked for her, and they ALL said she wasn’t in. Imagine that. The 5 people standing around at the register all knew about this, which I didn’t think was a big deal. I said ok, but I will not be back to this store, and one young man , said no problem, by. I went to see Zach at the Ft Worth Hulen store after contacting customer service at their corporate office. He was awesome, took care of the exchange and I was out of the store which is 30 minutes further for me, within 15 minutes. Great Customer Service!!!! We’ll drive the extra 30 min.

I’d give it a 0 star if possible. The search option only works if you’re super specific and have the correct spelling, you can’t just say “bass amp head” cause it will say “no results found” but if you put in ‘bass amplification head’ it’ll show everything on the under that category. So you gotta be very specific about what you want and spell it right which is weird cause some companies like to combine words that don’t spell out like you would think so it’s hard to find something if you don’t know the exact spelling. But on the GC website you can type any general word and it’ll bring back more results that match that keyword even if you don’t spell it right. Most times it won’t display every item under the category anyway so you could possibly miss something you been looking for thinking they just didnt carry that item at their store. That’s a big issue. It’s just a weak app in my opinion. I really only use the app to track my online orders since the website has better functionality. So it needs a better search capability, more detailed descriptions on the items for sale and more pictures on new and used items. If they fixed those issues it would be a decent app but at this point it’s absolutely worthless for anything other than tracking online orders.

Typically, the app runs fine. I’ve been using it for a while now. Just browsing, sometimes it crashes when you’re right in the middle of searching for something. I think the biggest (and most frustrating) problem I’ve had is with checkout. If you use a coupon (like the 15% off deals the send out all the time), make sure what you want is in your cart and wait until the payment screen to input it. Not the very first “proceed to checkout” screen. It’ll glitch somewhere in between the two. If you input the coupon on the first screen, it’ll mess up when you get to payments. But now you can’t go back and redo it, because the system already “used” your coupon. What follows is a very long and difficult conversation with Guitar Center employees. Luckily, the guys at my store know me, and know I wouldn’t try to double dip a coupon like that. I like Guitar Center a lot, and I want to see it prosper. I understand this app has a lot of data and variables that it must sift through, so I get why it glitches. It’d just be nice to not have to go through limbo with it.

I tried to play acoustic back in the day. I was at a Bob Dylan concert here in Philadelphia about a week after that infamous concert where Bob brought out an electric band. After that I put down my guitar till last summer. It was then Lennon and the crew at GC Plymouth Meeting changed everything. I bought my first electric guitar, an Epiphone Sheridan, solid black, gold trim, humbuckers. Top of the world. It kept breaking. Female jack head fell off inside 3 times in the first two months; stripped washer assembly. Then it went mute and then the pandemic hit. Locked in till July,Fortunately I had gotten a good used Ibanez Roadstar II on a whim. Today I finally could get to GC. They were more than happy to take the Epiphone. I was more than happy to buy a Fender Stratocaster. I have listened to Guitar Rock Stars all my life, but when I go to GC they make me feel like one.

I love your company. Been buying from it for over 20 years. Already have a used crate cab coming in the mail now, then buying a used head after that’s paid off and so on...... only thing I will complain about is your packaging. It is packed great and super safe but the outside doesn’t hide what’s in the box at all. I’ve had people walk up to my house and almost take guitars and an amp in the past cause the box it was in literally showed what it was (especially guitar boxes. Last one was in a fender guitar box, guitar and logo in huge font on the outside of the box). I wish so much that the gear would be in a plain box and guitars wouldn’t be in those obviously guitars shaped box. Besides that, absolutely satisfied with your company all around and can’t wait to get more gear when this latest is paid off.

I love this app and when searching for the goods and In regards to the Champaign illinois GC, I love this store and and the fast shipping. I live in illinois (hence Champaign store)so delivery takes 3 days. My son will try out a guitar(s) for 2-3 hours here on any given day and when he finds one he likes we order a brand new one with a warranty and life is good. The 45 day trial period seemed to good to be true so when we took one back on 44th day they were just as friendly as the day we bought and they didn’t get upset or bothered by it (business as usual) the staff here are very helpful and knowledgeable, busy but not to busy to stop and help you out or even have a small chat with you.

GC app has always, always stunk. At least at this point I can actually stay logged into my account and basically browse items without everything screwing up or crashing... sort of. Search refinement doesn’t work on iPad, so good luck sifting through thousands of guitars. Still not ready to actually try to place an order through the app again - too scared/scarred from previous experiences that were frustrating and impossible to place an accurate order through the app. I am a loyal GC customer, even if every time - EVERY TIME - I order a “new” guitar they try to pass off a floor model or a damaged/returned item and I have to go through the return process to “have one shipped directly from the warehouse.” They have a great selection and always good promos. But the app is a poor approximation of their web experience, which is average at best and horribly buggy if one is being completely honest.

Great service on my 1964 Welson Electric Guitar!! Also went in and ordered a Yamaha APX500lll black thin line acoustic guitar and the next day I received a e-mail with a tracking # that the order was sent !! That's quick service!!!! Staff was very helpful with my purchase also of a capo , picks , clip on tuner , and a gig bag !! I had a few questions and they were very patient with me trying to find what I needed and what was best for my needs !!! Once my guitar arrives and I pick up my 1964 Welson , I will not hesitate to purchase other products I will be needing !! What a nice experience to walk into a store and the staff not only makes you feel comfortable but also welcomes your questions !!!

Have tried many small Ma and Pa shops just felt the need to support. But they just couldn't deliver anything i couldn’t find myself on the internet for the same price. I imagine we were both shopping in the same place. Not much help there. And no discount with zero freebies. Guitar Center however has most everything you want to hold feel and play, i have made 5 major purchases through them and it has always been a good positive feeling during it all. While I applaud how your store in Farmington Michigan is handling the Covid situation, I am disappointed by your salespersons error. I run a karaoke business. I called ahead to make sure I could get a set of Gem Stone wireless microphones and a couple of mic stands. I asked twice, once on the phone and once while in the store if I needed adapters for the microphones so I can use them with the stands. The gentleman on the phone said yes, however when I asked for them while I was in the store I was told no I don’t need them. Sure enough when I got home I discovered I do need them. Now I have to drive another 30 minutes each way again just to get what I was looking for. I even asked the guy in the store if he was sure and he answered “positive “. Frustrating!!!!

The worse shopping experience outside of almost being arrested outside a bank that I belong to. A man hands me a dirty mask or used one with a glove on that he had been sweating in for hours. It really made me want to throw up. Also would not or could not answer questions I had about products with the slight amount of friendly service. It happened on more then one occasion. They also had no selection 2 dj mixers in the entire store. And they were on demo but I couldn’t use them. This is my rating a 0 compared to a 9 which I receive at the guitar center in park meadows which I have been going there for almost since its opening, even through the name changes. I would rate that store a 9 but only 90% of the time. The bad there is sometimes under staffed.

I had Allen Park Guitar Center install new strings on my guitar. I’ve lost the expert tech’s name. After looking it over he phoned me and went over the many problems that old guitar had. Since the cost probably would exceed what I paid for it in 1971, I declined to go that far into it. But because he was so informative I knew what I was facing in the future. An “expert” said this guitar would probably sell for $200 to $300 in today’s market if pristine. I managed to get $150 which was a win-win. Going back to GC for a new keyboard. Thanks for great service.

I have nothing but great things too say about guitar center (Nordhoff/valley)! I’ve bought several items from them two guitars/amps/etc and the whole process has been flawless best part guitar/amps go on sale a week or so later no problem they got right up in there and honored the sale price..... like I said unbelievable customer service/ great selection/unbeatable prices/shout out to the managers and all the really helpful employees it’s cause of you’re attention to detail I’ll be a lifelong customer🙏👍

Being married to a RN (travel nurse) we find ourselves in many locations. In the last year I/we have purchased a few guitars, amplifiers, and accessories with purchases from many locations within the US. At all locations we were greeted in a friendly manner and answered all questions in a professional courteous manner. I would be hard pressed to even entertain the idea of going anywhere else to start my search for any musical related item.

Yeah, you can order musical equipment off of it. Is it worth the app? No. I found myself to be finding a way to access the items in my cart, more than the selection process to put items in my cart! What do I mean? I mean when you open the app, the icon showing how many items are in your cart is absent, and when clicking, your cart is empty. The only way to solve this is to add an item to your cart and then go straight to your cart. It has categories for items they don’t even possess. When liking or disliking a comment does not actually do anything, I went back to check a comment and my dislike was gone. Besides it being slow, it kind of convenient. Could be better. 6/10.

It seems you can only see the pictures of the products in the initial search. Once you click a product, if you’re on cell signal, it won’t load the pictures of the products. If on WiFi the pictures will load up. There’s also no option in the settings to allow picture load on cell signal. Just WiFi. It’s frustration because I see a cool guitar in my search and click on it and it says “picture coming soon”. It would be nice to have an option to allow loading pictures of the products with cell signal.

Trying to order thru this app is very aggravating. All I wanted to do was order strings for my ukulele. I’ve bought instruments, music books and accessories from guitar center. The service at the stores is excellent but the app has me wanting to never shop there again. How many times do I have to add my phone number? 17 times before it finally allowed me to put my order in. I’m beginning to think that I can better get my supplies for my ukulele elsewhere. Oh.. did I mention the constant crashing of the app. What happened guys? Your app at one time was awesome! Your app was what got me to become your customer and now you app is what is driving me straight to your competitors!

Whenever I have purchased anything it’s always been high-quality good customer service. My only complaint is you do not give a fair price for used equipment for instants I trade it in for cash out of the box brand new Pearl Drum kit complete with all the hardware I paid over 1500 for the kit you gave me less than $300. I feel I was taking a vantage of. I know in the future if I have used equipment or something I’m not gonna use I will not bring it to your company to trade less I get a fair market price which I will have a price in mind when I come in the next Time to sell something. When I say it glitches, I mean a few things. I might go to look at my wish list and have it tell me I have none, so I uninstall, reinstall, and it works. Then a few days later, I’ll go in and the app crashes, and will continue until I uninstall, reinstall, and it will work. Then today, anything I put into the search bar will bring up a “no results found” page, so I uninstalled, reinstalled, and am going to try it again. I’ve done this cycle on probably 5 different occasions now. The app itself is amazing in pretty much every way, it just has a lot of glitches for me. I will absolutely continue to use it, I just hope that they might look into these problems at some point.👍 Update: still nothing comes up in search. I’m thinking that it might just be a system error... hoping they fix it soon because I can’t really browse... Update 2: My wish lists are missing again today.

Guitar Center is nothing but awesome. Best music, instrument store that exists. Cool sales folks who are honest and always willing to answer all my questions on the spot and offer great suggestions. I’m not rich and they don’t hold it against me, they hook me up with the Best gear that I can get for my bucks and I’ve never been let down with any purchase I’ve ever made. I have some great guitars, drums, and gear only because Guitar Center exists.

I Have ordered a few times from the app and I love how it shows what items are in stock in the specific store for curbside pick up. However twice my orders have been delayed because they have to get a item shipped to their store EVEN THOUGH it says that the item was in stock in that store to begin with. Employees at GC can’t do anything for it and check store to see inventory. GC says it’s a miscount on items on the floor. This happened twice and it’s hard to get something returned as well!

I’ve shopped at GC for a long time and have spent more money than I should. The staff at my local store were awesome, but online customer service is terrible. I contacted them 5 times and only got a response from one person in 4 days. Each staff member said they’d call back, but none never did. There was a Verifications issue and they never contacted me, I had to contact them. At this point I’m hoping everything is ok with my package so I don’t have to contact again.

Can't view past purchases of any kind. Can't view order status or history. When you try to communicate with them, you get no response. When you try to buy something you may not always get it because they'll send you an email saying that it is back ordered or they simply won't do anything BUT they'll definitely charge your Gear card account and good luck trying to get Synchrony and Guitar Center to take it off, forcing you to pay for gear you never bought or have your credit score affected.

I have used this app for awhile now. A few updates ago the ability to search stores and then link directly to that store to search inventory there stopped working. Since then, another update and not only is that function still not working, the whole app is glitchy, slow (when it’s not freezing entirely), and just plain frustrating. Not sure what IT initiative is driving this continuous quality decline but it sure seems like nobody is actually testing the user functionality of new versions before releasing them.
I just wanted what I paid for.

I had pro coverage on my JBL Speakers 5 that had been broken. I first was told to print out the labels and pay for shipping myself but because I didn’t understand why I had to ship myself when I paid for pro coverage I came back to ask again. Then I was told they would ship it for me. Finally that was done and I end up receiving my money back though e-gift and it ends up not even being enough to pay for the speakers I originally had. But because of time I decided to buy another pair of speakers. I just want what I paid for “Pro Coverage” I got “Minor League Coverage”

A mobile app would be so much better than the website! So I downloaded and started using it. Awesome! Then I used the following path: Used gear->used basses->used electric basses->filter results. Freezes every time on the filter options screen. Every time I have to restart the app and try again with the exact same results. It’s a bummer, especially because when I do the same search but for used amps it flows seamlessly, no freezes whatsoever. Please fix it folks and I’ll keep using it, and will revise my review.

I downloaded the app, enabled location and notifications, made sure I had the most recent IOS update, and the app still crashed when I opened it. I retried, double checked everything, and it crashed again, so, naturally, I deleted the app and reinstalled it, making sure the app itself was updated- which it was- then retried opening the app once again only for it to do the same thing. I don’t know if maybe it’s a problem with my phone, though I don’t have a problem with any other apps. Guitar Center, please fix any bug problems/crashes.

I think the app needs an update. Issues are: images don’t load or take too long, search bar is awkward because auto correct engages. This is weird when you have to input model numbers and auto correct keeps “fixing” them. Also, search bar keeps your last search, so you end up typing a new search item which tacks onto your old one. Ex: “12String guitarPro Tools.” Lastly, app crashed on me. Ended up going to the website. Hope to see this improved soon.

Ik how so many people have given this app a 4 or 5, the app won’t show your orders, continuously say log in attempt failed even though you already logged in, won’t show any pictures of products when you press them, continuous error messages even if you’re just scrolling through the app, like how is this company allowing to happen on their main app... oh wait they claimed bankruptcy now it makes sense. But forreal just use the website the app isn’t worth taking space up in your phone use your space for like among us or something.

I bought a Boss GT 10 and recently an HELIX LT which has the most amazing effects set up. I used to think guitar center was fair in dealing with used guitars. My guitars are pristine and even though I planned on buying another guitar from San Marcos guitar center they only offered me about 35% of the retail value for my guitar. I then tried to buy a Godin guitar but had to order it many weeks ahead of time. I found it on another web site for cheaper and they shipped it to me within days! Obviously Guitar Center does not care as much as they used to. From now on I’ll only go there simple items like cords and picks, but nothing big.

On my last visit to guitar center I purchased a nice vox amp and the staff were instrumental in me making a good decision to purchase the one I did over a more expensive yet not really that useful to me due to my playing type marshall. This is just one occasion out of many where they have steered me back into the right mindset.

I enjoy using the app over the website; however, I do wish that you could sign into your account through Facebook on the app. I created my account on my laptop with my Facebook but I can’t sign in through the email and password route and having the ability to just sign in through Facebook would be a lot easier.

Plenty of great gear to look at. But it does me no good when I can’t buy any of it! When I add products to my cart and try to check out, it just keeps going back to the same page. I could never actually purchase any of it. Update: now, it won’t allow me to see all the stores where certain products are a available. I live in LA county and it only shows me guitar center shows in to the east of me (in Orange County , San Bernardino County, etc) . It shows me ZERO stores in my actual area , including my home store. FIX THIS!

The app doesn’t sync with your account online, so if you save items to a wish list on the app, the website will erase it and override it. Also you can’t move items between lists on the app. The store is great. The app is woefully far behind the curve.

I wrote a review within the app based on the guitar I wanted and the sales process. The review was less than favorable and included the location and name of the employee who served me. He tried to sell me a damaged guitar at full price! He got it from the back room, the package was open and damaged (as well as the guitar) and was even missing parts! He tried to get me to pay for it before inspecting the item. He knew of the damage but explained it was the last one. I declined the sale and went elsewhere for my purchase. I will never go back! Slow delivery. Cost more than anyone. Overpriced. But when YOUR the only go to? We have. .... to wait it out. We spend top dollar. Why not be a top store for us. On the road, when your desperate , and you Need equipment right then, or yesterday ? Even when you drag out everything in your Equipment box. There is always something left behind that’s frustrating enough. Still ,Go out and play. Right? Extra load on the mind. When getting in tone , takes longer to concentrate. That’s a drag.

I had been saving up for a drum set for a while and searching for the perfect one. One day a new item popped up and it fit my criteria perfectly, so I decided to buy a 700$ gift card buy the drum set along with new heads and cymbals. Then, after I order the drum set, I get an order confirmation saying the USED item is backordered. A USED item, there’s ONE. So I called, and apparently a guy bought it already, and they decided not to take it off their inventory. Now I’m searching for a new one, still haven’t found the right one.

Purchased a Gibson guitar that was advertised, priced, and offered as new. Was called from the store that had it and advised was a scratched, damaged, over 2 years on the floor model. They offered a deep discount, but only after I questioned why used was being sold as new and only confirmed damage to the guitar (otherwise why discount so heavily?). When called main customer service was told this is fairly common for guitar center to offer merchandise as new on the site and app even though used and demo models. Buyer beware!!!!
