I absolutely HATE subscriptions! I’m sorry, but unless it’s Nintendo switch online (which is the only subscription I own because of its good price), you are walking on thin ice when you put a subscription in your app. What makes matters worse, you can’t even make anything without paying. Want to edit a video ? Too bad! If you wanna edit your videos, pay for our subscription! (I translated what I saw to my mind) Nope! Not doing that! I’ll look for another app for editing. Sorry, but because of that, I’m not only deleting the app, but leaving a one star review. Totally disappointed.

Trimming not easy

Just wanted to cut about half a second from end of clip. Found it very hard to work with. Does not do frame by frame with a click. Instead need to use fingers to move film. For me this was not easy and I did not succeed in cutting it precisely at the best spot and had to settle for second best. I do not know about other features, but trimming is not easy or precise.

I see that others have commented on the fact that after downloading, it starts you on your first project and then informs you that you can get a free trial or pay for the app. I got very excited to use this, however, even if I liked the trial, I simply don’t have the money to put into it. Quite sad really, I hope a REAL free version is in the future 😢

Heya! This app looks amazing, and i bet it has a lot of effort put into it! The only problem i have, though, is that you have to pay a subscription to use it. Now, Just a suggestion, since i can't use it, leave basic things to be free, make the app cost money, then make the more advanced editing things have a subscription that costs more? I don't know, just a suggestion. But i will say again that it looks like a lot have effort has gone into it, and i appreciate that!

I just downloaded the app and I picked a video I wanted to edit and I clicked create and a screen popped up saying “Get video editor” and I tried pressing the x in the corner, but that brought me back to the pick a photo or video to edit screen. As soon as you go on the app you have to pay if you want to use the app. Maybe you should just make people pay for the app! I’m not using it until you fix this. It’s a waste of so much money. Please make some of the features free. I’m not using this app and I don’t think anyone else should. I would give this zero stars if I could.

I downloaded this app in a desperate attempt to shorten a video I had made for a school project. Really, the app offers simple mechanics that should be free, and I assumed in-app purchases meant extensions, not the entire thing. Yeah, nope. I pick all my videos and am so excited to start, I pick for the portrait edit type and even pick a name BUT...
I have to pay $2.99 a week!? There’s a trial and that’s great and all but really?? You can even let me edit a little video before I even start? You make me pick all videos and a name and then say “ops sorry either sign up or get out”. Okay great thanks for wasting my type.

i downloaded an app for my youtube channel hoping to have it where there is no watermark, and when i opened it after downloading i chose what i wanted to edit and the style and clicked next and then an unskippable ad about the trial popped up and kept me from making the video. if you're gonna read this improve your app because its one of the worst things i have downloaded.

Spent 2+ hrs editing a video and it would not save to anything. Not my camera roll, couldn’t share to Facebook, couldn’t save to my files, nothing. Then I leave the app and go back only to find it didn’t restore and lost my project. Luckily I haven’t paid for anything, and I certainly won’t now.
UPDATE: I failed to mention that I DID use the free trial. After the experience I decided to cut the trial short and end it. If you should be able to access all functions on the app using the free trial or purchasing, it still failed.

After many hours and finally getting the perfect video edited (of my daughter’s first steps + my son’s first sport’s practice), the new media content will not even “prepare to download”. This comes after hours of dealing with the audio and volume issues I could never get fixed. Their customer support suggested I simply “delete content from the video, try to export, and start over”. For $3/week, you’d think downloading a video would be easy. I’m currently switching apps.

Restoring a Project

I have a subscription to this app and have been using it for over a year now and have had this issue happen to me a couple times where I could be in the middle of a project, leave the app and come back to where the project could not be restored. It’s hit and miss. It hasn’t been that big of a deal, I’d just start over no biggy until right now, I’d been working on a project for almost an hour and try to download the project but my phone memory is to full so I exit out of the app delete some videos and photos to free up space in my phone and when I go back to the app, it says oops we cannot restore your project. Over an hour down the drain. Now Instead of starting the project over I’d rather spend my next hour looking for a different video editing app. This is a problem and it needs to be better in today’s world we are to advanced for these mishaps. Like I really just spent an hour making a video on your app and it disappeared. Like what, really???

First, look at all the reviews: The 5-star reviews stopped a year ago when they changed their business model.
Shocking that basically the only thing you can do with this app without signing up to their subscription is browse your videos.
Then they want you to pay a weekly (!) subscription to use their one-feature app.
If I use it for 5 years, that is $2.99 x 52 weeks x 5 years = $777.4 + tax.
These people (Bending Spoons) are trying to publish as many apps as possible (for instance they own multiple similar video editing apps), charge as much as possible, and confuse users into over-paying. This is basically like a software slumlord.
To their "credit" they are very open about this. One of the cofounders proudly says on the company webpage: "I'm not in the app business, I'm in the empire business." How to bilk customers in other words, and establish monopolies.
I have been paying for shareware since the 90's, and I am a software engineer myself. Software is valuable, should be valued, but their business model offends me.
Update: In response to the developer's form response inviting suggestions, here is my suggestion: Price the app reasonably. Try $15/year.

Been using this app for a few months. Hiccups here and there, but I worked with it. Today it just kept crashing. I had to uninstall and reinstall (was asked to pay at that time) and the app is still crashing. That was after I spent over an 1.5 hours editing my video. Very frustrating and a waste of time.

I have a subscription to this app and have been using it for over a year now and have had this issue happen to me a couple times where I could be in the middle of a project, leave the app and come back to where the project could not be restored. It’s hit and miss. It hasn’t been that big of a deal, I’d just start over no biggy until right now, I’d been working on a project for almost an hour and try to download the project but my phone memory is to full so I exit out of the app delete some videos and photos to free up space in my phone and when I go back to the app, it says oops we cannot restore your project. Over an hour down the drain. Now Instead of starting the project over I’d rather spend my next hour looking for a different video editing app. This is a problem and it needs to be better in today’s world we are to advanced for these mishaps. Like I really just spent an hour making a video on your app and it disappeared. Like what, really???

First, look at all the reviews: The 5-star reviews stopped a year ago when they changed their business model.
Shocking that basically the only thing you can do with this app without signing up to their subscription is browse your videos.
Then they want you to pay a weekly (!) subscription to use their one-feature app.
If I use it for 5 years, that is $2.99 x 52 weeks x 5 years = $777.4 + tax.
These people (Bending Spoons) are trying to publish as many apps as possible (for instance they own multiple similar video editing apps), charge as much as possible, and confuse users into over-paying. This is basically like a software slumlord.
To their "credit" they are very open about this. One of the cofounders proudly says on the company webpage: "I'm not in the app business, I'm in the empire business." How to bilk customers in other words, and establish monopolies.
I have been paying for shareware since the 90's, and I am a software engineer myself. Software is valuable, should be valued, but their business model offends me.
Update: In response to the developer's form response inviting suggestions, here is my suggestion: Price the app reasonably. Try $15/year.

I was honestly very disappointed with this app. I downloaded it in hopes I can edit a video for a school project and it automatically asked me to pay. I decided to subscribe for the one week free trial and give it a try and it worked no better than the last app I had already downloaded for free. When I was done editing my video it asked me to pay because I didn’t have any free saves? But that was the first time I was using it? On top of that I cancelled my subscription before the trial ended and it still charged me $2.99 every week. I don’t know why this app has such a high rating it’s honestly the worst app I have ever downloaded. Don’t download this app it’s a waste of money and space.

I wish this app would actually let you experience editing a video.. I was expecting to make a heartfelt video for my best friend and was excited to use this app. It told to me I can start a new project and to start picking my videos..
I pick all my videos and am so excited to start, I pick for the portrait edit type and even pick a name BUT...
I have to pay $2.99 a week!? There’s a trial and that’s great and all but really?? You can even let me edit a little video before I even start? You make me pick all videos and a name and then say “ops sorry either sign up or get out”. Okay great thanks for wasting my type.

I absolutely HATE subscriptions! I’m sorry, but unless it’s Nintendo switch online (which is the only subscription I own because of its good price), you are walking on thin ice when you put a subscription in your app. What makes matters worse, you can’t even make anything without paying. Want to edit a video ? Too bad! If you wanna edit your videos, pay for our subscription! (I translated what I saw to my mind) Nope! Not doing that! I’ll look for another app for editing. Sorry, but because of that, I’m not only deleting the app, but leaving a one star review. Totally disappointed.

Heya! This app looks amazing, and i bet it has a lot of effort put into it! The only problem i have, though, is that you have to pay a subscription to use it. Now, Just a suggestion, since i can't use it, leave basic things to be free, make the app cost money, then make the more advanced editing things have a subscription that costs more? I don't know, just a suggestion. But i will say again that it looks like a lot have effort has gone into it, and i appreciate that!

I just downloaded the app and I picked a video I wanted to edit and I clicked create and a screen popped up saying “Get video editor” and I tried pressing the x in the corner, but that brought me back to the pick a photo or video to edit screen. As soon as you go on the app you have to pay if you want to use the app. Maybe you should just make people pay for the app! I’m not using it until you fix this. It’s a waste of so much money. Please make some of the features free. I’m not using this app and I don’t think anyone else should. I would give this zero stars if I could.

Spent 2+ hrs editing a video and it would not save to anything. Not my camera roll, couldn’t share to Facebook, couldn’t save to my files, nothing. Then I leave the app and go back only to find it didn’t restore and lost my project. Luckily I haven’t paid for anything, and I certainly won’t now.
UPDATE: I failed to mention that I DID use the free trial. After the experience I decided to cut the trial short and end it. If you should be able to access all functions on the app using the free trial or purchasing, it still failed.

As soon as you download, it asks you if you want to do premium and advertises the deals for premium features which is fine and all but even if there’s a 7 day trial i just didn’t want it. Anyways so i opt out to do that i just wanted to crop a video and be done with it. Tried to save it to my camera roll and it said I ran out of free crops and that I had to pay for premium .....i just started using it...I didn’t even bother trying to figure out why that happened. Immediately deleted app

After many hours and finally getting the perfect video edited (of my daughter’s first steps + my son’s first sport’s practice), the new media content will not even “prepare to download”. This comes after hours of dealing with the audio and volume issues I could never get fixed. Their customer support suggested I simply “delete content from the video, try to export, and start over”. For $3/week, you’d think downloading a video would be easy. I’m currently switching apps.

Ok so I was looking for an app to cut videos into 15-sec segments for Instagram stories. I opened the app store, made a search and this came up at the very top as a paid ad. I tapped on it, it looked good, reviews were ok and so I downloaded it. And you know what happened the first thing after I opened the app? It told me to sign up for $4.99 a month to use it! Yer right. Why not $20 a month?? Well let me think - is splitting clips worth it to me to pay rent on some app that doesn’t even do much else? Read my lips!

It is worth to pay the annual fee, this does what no other app has been able to do for me so I highly recommend getting it 🙌🏼. It keeps the video quality high and same screen size as original. It also trims with precision 💕💕💕

I desperately needed a quick editor, and so I downloaded this app. I ended up paying for the subscription, and used it, and then cancelled the subscription. That was a couple of months ago. I just found out that I have unknowingly been charged $3 a week for months now, even though I had already cancelled my subscription and deleted the app! I will try to get a refund, and if so, I am willing to change my review.

You are unable to do anything with this app until you agree to their free trial of seven days and then a small fee of $4.99 a week after that, which I am sure would probably be next to impossible to cancel. This app is terribly miss leading.

Tried reloading the app and still nothing. You would think there would be a way from the main menu to notify support nope.

This app is a horrible bait and switch. It’s useless without paying. You can’t even preview features or save a short clip without buying the paid version, or at least signing up for a trial that converts to paid.
This is not ethical and probably a violation of App Store policies. Spend your time and money elsewhere - there are plenty of apps that seem to provide similar functionality.

I see that others have commented on the fact that after downloading, it starts you on your first project and then informs you that you can get a free trial or pay for the app. I got very excited to use this, however, even if I liked the trial, I simply don’t have the money to put into it. Quite sad really, I hope a REAL free version is in the future 😢

This app was very useful for my videos though. Couple of problems, the app can be slow at times when downloading clips all together, and the variety of music is very low too. But this app was really good none of the less. 3/5
Trimming not easy

Just wanted to cut about half a second from end of clip. Found it very hard to work with. Does not do frame by frame with a click. Instead need to use fingers to move film. For me this was not easy and I did not succeed in cutting it precisely at the best spot and had to settle for second best. I do not know about other features, but trimming is not easy or precise.

I don’t appreciate that before I was able to merge my clips, I was asked to upgrade for a week free trial. I said no thanks. But after that answer, I was unable to merge my clips. I tried multiple times but was forced to upgrade before making my video. If I am charged the $4.99 per week, I will be taking further actions. I deleted the app, I am very displeased by this app.

This app is disappointing. You cant try it without accepting that it’s a free trial and you’ll be charged weekly after one week. It does nothing, seriously NOTHING but crop the frame or zoom in however you understand it better so I can no longer see the whole image. Yeah hard to believe. At no point does this trim videos.

You cannot save or share videos unless you upgrade and buy the premium version or start a 7-day free trial where you will end up getting charged... unless you want to purchase, move on to a different app. You cannot edit the videos except where it starts and begins anyways and add music from their library.

I absolutely HATE subscriptions! I’m sorry, but unless it’s Nintendo switch online (which is the only subscription I own because of its good price), you are walking on thin ice when you put a subscription in your app. What makes matters worse, you can’t even make anything without paying. Want to edit a video ? Too bad! If you wanna edit your videos, pay for our subscription! (I translated what I saw to my mind) Nope! Not doing that! I’ll look for another app for editing. Sorry, but because of that, I’m not only deleting the app, but leaving a one star review. Totally disappointed.

Just wanted to cut about half a second from end of clip. Found it very hard to work with. Does not do frame by frame with a click. Instead need to use fingers to move film. For me this was not easy and I did not succeed in cutting it precisely at the best spot and had to settle for second best. I do not know about other features, but trimming is not easy or precise.

Now, Just a suggestion, since i can't use it, leave basic things to be free, make the app cost money, then make the more advanced editing things have a subscription that costs more? I just downloaded the app and I picked a video I wanted to edit and I clicked create and a screen popped up saying “Get video editor” and I tried pressing the x in the corner, but that brought me back to the pick a photo or video to edit screen. As soon as you go on the app you have to pay if you want to use the app. Maybe you should just make people pay for the app! I’m not using it until you fix this. It’s a waste of so much money. Please make some of the features free. I’m not using this app and I don’t think anyone else should. I would give this zero stars if I could.

Spent 2+ hrs editing a video and it would not save to anything. Not my camera roll, couldn’t share to Facebook, couldn’t save to my files, nothing. Then I leave the app and go back only to find it didn’t restore and lost my project. Luckily I haven’t paid for anything, and I certainly won’t now.
UPDATE: I failed to mention that I DID use the free trial. After the experience I decided to cut the trial short and end it. If you should be able to access all functions on the app using the free trial or purchasing, it still failed.

After many hours and finally getting the perfect video edited (of my daughter’s first steps + my son’s first sport’s practice), the new media content will not even “prepare to download”. This comes after hours of dealing with the audio and volume issues I could never get fixed. Their customer support suggested I simply “delete content from the video, try to export, and start over”. For $3/week, you’d think downloading a video would be easy. I’m currently switching apps.

I have a subscription to this app and have been using it for over a year now and have had this issue happen to me a couple times where I could be in the middle of a project, leave the app and come back to where the project could not be restored. It hasn’t been that big of a deal, I’d just start over no biggy until right now, I’d been working on a project for almost an hour and try to download the project but my phone memory is to full so I exit out of the app delete some videos and photos to free up space in my phone and when I go back to the app, it says oops we cannot restore your project. Over an hour down the drain. Now Instead of starting the project over I’d rather spend my next hour looking for a different video editing app. This is a problem and it needs to be better in today’s world we are to advanced for these mishaps. Like I really just spent an hour making a video on your app and it disappeared. Like what, really???

First, look at all the reviews: The 5-star reviews stopped a year ago when they changed their business model.
Shocking that basically the only thing you can do with this app without signing up to their subscription is browse your videos.
Then they want you to pay a weekly (!) subscription to use their one-feature app.
If I use it for 5 years, that is $2.99 x 52 weeks x 5 years = $777.4 + tax.
These people (Bending Spoons) are trying to publish as many apps as possible (for instance they own multiple similar video editing apps), charge as much as possible, and confuse users into over-paying. This is basically like a software slumlord.
To their "credit" they are very open about this. One of the cofounders proudly says on the company webpage: "I'm not in the app business, I'm in the empire business." How to bilk customers in other words, and establish monopolies.
I have been paying for shareware since the 90's, and I am a software engineer myself. Software is valuable, should be valued, but their business model offends me.
Update: In response to the developer's form response inviting suggestions, here is my suggestion: Price the app reasonably. Try $15/year.

Been using this app for a few months. Hiccups here and there, but I worked with it. Today it just kept crashing. I was honestly very disappointed with this app. I downloaded it in hopes I can edit a video for a school project and it automatically asked me to pay. I decided to subscribe for the one week free trial and give it a try and it worked no better than the last app I had already downloaded for free. It needs to be fixed by taking that premium or whatever that is off so I could actually use your app, I thought it would be good by lookn g at the pictures, but it is the exact opposite. What a dumb scam your have here, and such lies, I with I could give you no stars, but atleast you got one, enjoy improving, cause I won’t be back until you fix it.

I absolutely HATE subscriptions! I’m sorry, but unless it’s Nintendo switch online (which is the only subscription I own because of its good price), you are walking on thin ice when you put a subscription in your app. What makes matters worse, you can’t even make anything without paying. Want to edit a video ? Too bad! If you wanna edit your videos, pay for our subscription! (I translated what I saw to my mind) Nope! Not doing that! I’ll look for another app for editing. Sorry, but because of that, I’m not only deleting the app, but leaving a one star review. Totally disappointed.

Heya! This app looks amazing, and i bet it has a lot of effort put into it! The only problem i have, though, is that you have to pay a subscription to use it. Now, Just a suggestion, since i can't use it, leave basic things to be free, make the app cost money, then make the more advanced editing things have a subscription that costs more? I don't know, just a suggestion. But i will say again that it looks like a lot have effort has gone into it, and i appreciate that!

I just downloaded the app and I picked a video I wanted to edit and I clicked create and a screen popped up saying “Get video editor” and I tried pressing the x in the corner, but that brought me back to the pick a photo or video to edit screen. As soon as you go on the app you have to pay if you want to use the app. Maybe you should just make people pay for the app! I’m not using it until you fix this. It’s a waste of so much money. Please make some of the features free. I’m not using this app and I don’t think anyone else should. I would give this zero stars if I could.
Frustrating

Spent 2+ hrs editing a video and it would not save to anything. Not my camera roll, couldn’t share to Facebook, couldn’t save to my files, nothing. Then I leave the app and go back only to find it didn’t restore and lost my project. Luckily I haven’t paid for anything, and I certainly won’t now.
UPDATE: I failed to mention that I DID use the free trial. After the experience I decided to cut the trial short and end it. If you should be able to access all functions on the app using the free trial or purchasing, it still failed.

As soon as you download, it asks you if you want to do premium and advertises the deals for premium features which is fine and all but even if there’s a 7 day trial i just didn’t want it. Anyways so i opt out to do that i just wanted to crop a video and be done with it. Tried to save it to my camera roll and it said I ran out of free crops and that I had to pay for premium .....i just started using it...I didn’t even bother trying to figure out why that happened. Immediately deleted app

After many hours and finally getting the perfect video edited (of my daughter’s first steps + my son’s first sport’s practice), the new media content will not even “prepare to download”. This comes after hours of dealing with the audio and volume issues I could never get fixed. Their customer support suggested I simply “delete content from the video, try to export, and start over”. For $3/week, you’d think downloading a video would be easy. I’m currently switching apps.

Ok so I was looking for an app to cut videos into 15-sec segments for Instagram stories. I opened the app store, made a search and this came up at the very top as a paid ad. I tapped on it, it looked good, reviews were ok and so I downloaded it. And you know what happened the first thing after I opened the app? It told me to sign up for $4.99 a month to use it! Yer right. Why not $20 a month?? Well let me think - is splitting clips worth it to me to pay rent on some app that doesn’t even do much else? Read my lips!

It is worth to pay the annual fee, this does what no other app has been able to do for me so I highly recommend getting it 🙌🏼. It keeps the video quality high and same screen size as original. It also trims with precision 💕💕💕

My brother has this app and he told me to get it. So the of course I did. It was fun at first. Until I clicked on my favorite song and it said “please choose a different song” I was like okay.... but my brother clicked on the exact same song and could play it. What’s the deal? Btw I own a subscription and he Dosent.

Can edit vertical and quickly remove multiple useless sections from one clip (unlike stupid iMovie).
UI is also very well optimized for touch.

I desperately needed a quick editor, and so I downloaded this app. I ended up paying for the subscription, and used it, and then cancelled the subscription. That was a couple of months ago. I just found out that I have unknowingly been charged $3 a week for months now, even though I had already cancelled my subscription and deleted the app! I will try to get a refund, and if so, I am willing to change my review.

They don’t tell you from the beginning that they want you to pay $4.99 a week they advertise this app or make it look like it’s a free app in the iPhone App Store. You are unable to do anything with this app until you agree to their free trial of seven days and then a small fee of $4.99 a week after that, which I am sure would probably be next to impossible to cancel. This app is terribly miss leading.

I get the apps that put up ads every time you press something on the screen, that’s annoying but his app takes the cake. You’re not even allowed to use the app until you sign up for their services. Total waste of my time checking this out.

I just cancelled my subscription. Had it for about a week. Used it once. Go to use it today and it did not have any way to get to the video I wanted to edit. Previously it worked. Tried reloading the app and still nothing. You would think there would be a way from the main menu to notify support nope.

This app is a horrible bait and switch. It’s useless without paying. You can’t even preview features or save a short clip without buying the paid version, or at least signing up for a trial that converts to paid.
This is not ethical and probably a violation of App Store policies. Spend your time and money elsewhere - there are plenty of apps that seem to provide similar functionality.

Seems cool but as soon as you click start editing it asks you if you want to try the premium then you click no thank you then it says seven day free trial? Then you say maybe later then it doesn’t let you edit so if you want to use this app you have to use the premium or else you can’t use it so sharks because a lot of people like me won’t be able use it smart guys:(

I see that others have commented on the fact that after downloading, it starts you on your first project and then informs you that you can get a free trial or pay for the app. I got very excited to use this, however, even if I liked the trial, I simply don’t have the money to put into it. Quite sad really, I hope a REAL free version is in the future 😢

This app was very useful for my videos though. Couple of problems, the app can be slow at times when downloading clips all together, and the variety of music is very low too. But this app was really good none of the less. 3/5
Trimming not easy

Just wanted to cut about half a second from end of clip. Found it very hard to work with. Does not do frame by frame with a click. Instead need to use fingers to move film. For me this was not easy and I did not succeed in cutting it precisely at the best spot and had to settle for second best. I do not know about other features, but trimming is not easy or precise.

I read several reviews before downloading the app, mainly about you guys charging us $2.99 a week. My problem is, the moment I select my videos it’s asking me to subscribe. What the hell is the point of making the app free when as soon as you try to edit it slaps you with a “SUBSCRIBE FOR 7.99” with NO free option, no trial. nothing. you can’t even exit that subscribe screen, you’re forcing your subscription onto people.

I don’t appreciate that before I was able to merge my clips, I was asked to upgrade for a week free trial. I said no thanks. But after that answer, I was unable to merge my clips. I tried multiple times but was forced to upgrade before making my video. If I am charged the $4.99 per week, I will be taking further actions. I deleted the app, I am very displeased by this app.

This app is disappointing. You cant try it without accepting that it’s a free trial and you’ll be charged weekly after one week. It does nothing, seriously NOTHING but crop the frame or zoom in however you understand it better so I can no longer see the whole image. Yeah hard to believe. At no point does this trim videos.

I downloaded this app in a desperate attempt to shorten a video I had made for a school project. Really, the app offers simple mechanics that should be free, and I assumed in-app purchases meant extensions, not the entire thing. Yeah, nope. This app charges 3 dollars a week so I can use an editing tool that already comes on my phone. Sorry but I’m not spending money to use this thing once

You cannot save or share videos unless you upgrade and buy the premium version or start a 7-day free trial where you will end up getting charged... unless you want to purchase, move on to a different app. You cannot edit the videos except where it starts and begins anyways and add music from their library.

I used this app once for trimming one video, few days after that I was charged $53!!! This is unacceptable and I want a refund for this app that I most likely won’t be using again. They charged me twice every months for my subscription. Once in the middle of the month and then again a couple days later. They did this a couple of times until I cancelled. Watch out people and check your bill every month!

I just downloaded this app thinking “I’m going to edit my video so good” so I edit its awesome I press save to photo gallery And guess what I have to pay!!!
