Awesome game
by Foxking21238 on 2020/05/25 12:45
Me and my entire family is into this game and don’t get me wrong, it is a lot of fun! Unfortunately I would like to change a few things. First of all,I think that the new player’s would need some help on tough levels . Maybe the creators can allow players to sent there heroes, troupes, and equipment to other players. Plus, we can friend each other in the game. Even though I think the game is in needs of a few things to be made, overall the game is amazing.
Watch your wallet
by Emkemper on 2020/05/25 03:48
So this game is awesome and addictive. But,,, watch your wallet. I saved up to take advantage of one of their many “offers” and did it today. I bought the $29 legendary hero offer. This was for 30 heroes and 10 world energy flasks. Went to pull the hero’s and was floored by the veriety. Nothing but plain characters that we all can get by just being patient. No 5* at all and nothing close to really good heroes that might help a player get a challenging team. I feel ripped off. PS. I completed the entire Tavern of Legends. I used all of the coins to summon legendary heroes. Uhm, I got nothing but 2* and 3* feeder heroes. Bs
AHHHH THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER

Fun...but expensive
by BreezySenpai23 on 2020/05/24 23:21
I really love the game and the graphics are awesome. But some of the summons and prices are ridiculously high and too much of a gamble. I hope the draws or prices are taken in consideration and get fixed.
Cash Grab
by Swaggeriffic on 2020/05/24 22:39
For the money being spent the reward is not worth it. A 30 pull should guarantee one 5 star at least. That shouldn’t be to much to ask.
Fun
by tyeolfalex on 2020/05/24 22:23
It’s funny and I can play when I have nothing to do so I think it’s fun and.
Scam app
by Long time pool player on 2020/05/24 22:02
When you first started out it gives you good things. But play for over 3 years and it just scams you out of your money with below percentage of really getting anything good that would help you. Not random boards like it shows. Don’t get sucked in. People say it a marathon game. Yep a marathon of getting your money with no real rewards. Ask me in the game. Level 64 Sidewinder316
Used to love it, not anymore
by Arvin2011 on 2020/05/24 20:45
The most unfair game I’ve ever seen, it’s a game for your money, spend more money make these game makers wealthier. I gave up and don’t play anymore, after 1 and a half year.
so broken and unbalanced
by Amenjava on 2020/05/24 20:29
deserves a 0. absolute BS. how the ,??) does a team with 400 less power beat my team HANDily. they claim to have re-balanced the game and characters recently but it seems it wasn’t such a good job. the raids especially are a joke and completely. broken!!! opponent pulls off 5+ specials to my ones and takes me 4 specials to kill one character and specials for them to kill one of mine. absolutely ridiculously frustrating. i hope the developers feel the frustration because this game is completely unbalanced
Do NOT waste you money !!!
by 123greedydevelopersBS on 2020/05/24 18:00
This is not even a pay to win game, you pay and they just give you garbage, I foolishly bought the Ledends Offer... from 30 summons I got 26 tree stars heroes and 4 four stars heroes, not even 1 five stars heroe. This game is a big scam !!
Gameplay is awesome but you might as well light your money on fire
by Badhabitz91 on 2020/05/24 16:04
Been playing for well over a year now, spend regularly and I can’t tell you I’m officially never spending a dime on this game or developer ever again. Anything you can spend your money on is better than this. I’ve never played a game with odds this bad. The worst odd game I’ve ever played is 10 times more generous than this one. Great gameplay ruined by flat out greed. Sorry but it’s inexcusable how bad the odds have gotten. And when you finally get a good character don’t get too excited because it’ll be nerfed in a month or so after to make it “fair”
Skip it raids are way too not random. Too frustrating
by ihavetoputsomething on 2020/05/24 01:05
Pay to win. The raids are very lopsided and rigged. If you don’t pay you get penalized very badly all the time. The raids are very very very poorly coded. You have two reds no yellow then 90% of the board will have yellow and you never get to attack until it’s to late. Doesn’t give you any reds. The enemy gets to attack multiple times over and over and then you finally get a red after your guys are dead. Talk about rigged bs beyond words and it happens all the time if you have two green then no green two blues no blue but these idiots say there isn’t anything going on and it is just by coincidence. BS The “random” part doesn’t exist in this game. Always getting the same heroes over and over. Better chance to get these heroes when a special is going on. Oh sorry here is the same green 3 star hero you already have 4 of. Which is why you have to attack with the same colors in a raid. Could have been good. Such a waste I could easily keep going but you get the idea how bad it is.
Fun, challenging and addictive.
by redkristal on 2020/05/24 00:08
I fell in love with this game right off the bat.
Money sink
by stonelife123 on 2020/05/23 23:29
High cost to do anything good. 1% chance to get a decent hero on a summon that cost 3 dollars each. Power creep is so strong if you do invest you will be out of the top in moments.
Spent money
by Noles4Lif3 on 2020/05/23 21:13
Spent over $50 on your game and I will tell you that will be the last time that will ever happen. You only gave me 2 four star hero’s and the rest were 3 stars. That’s ridiculous odds and the only reason you set the odds that high is to keep money coming in. This game does not care about the customers at all. I used to like this game but after three years of poor treatment I am done.
Money sucker
by Popunkordie on 2020/05/23 18:18
I made this a 5 star in hopes that people see this. This game is not fair and takes your cash in order to advance. It's not balanced or equal in PVP. At the beginning it's not hard, then you need rare items in order to level up. Everything is random but you'll mostly get 3 starred people. It's a cheating game. Your better off buying an old school game boy instead of this crap.
Fun game but don’t waste your money
by Dulececita on 2020/05/23 16:40
The game itself is fun. Plus you can join a team and fight titans and alliance wars. Corny story lines but overall entertaining. The low rating comes from the crappy drop rates for the 5* heroes you need to advance in levels and do well in the Alliance wars. It really is ridiculous how poorly the summons are. the entire system is rigged. You either spend hundreds of dollars to get decent hero’s or you are out of luck . And there is even less success getting the materials to level up your heroes if you succeed in getting them. Ughh . But I refuse to put any more money into this game. It was supposed to be a fun diversion. Not a money pit. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t mind spending $5 here or there. But when the “special “ is $30 - 100!!!! That’s crazy 😡
Great

Masquerade costumes
by Jeff knows best on 2020/05/23 13:54
Costume summons should reduce the odds of getting duplicate costumes. I have 6 costumes for Gunnar and I feed most 3 star heroes to my 5 stars so I don’t even keep him. So I have 6 costumes I will never even think about using. Boohoo Tavern of Legend summons first 20 heroes it shows you are 5* heroes. Two pulls from the coins earned both common 3* heroes what a ripoff.

Disappointing and uncalled for...
by Laguyintx on 2020/05/23 03:37
I have gotten the VIP pass several times and have used gems to purchase 10 characters and I never get any characters worthwhile. I have been playing this game for about 2 years and it’s always the same let down. I just bought several different “packages” in order to have 12 chances at a character from the legendary summons. EVERY single summons was a 3 star or lower. That is absolutely absurd and ridiculous. There is no reason that people should have such a low chance of at least getting one to two 5 stars and multiple 4 star characters when using 2600 gems. This game needs to be re-evaluated. It is a huge ripoff and a huge disappointment. I get better characters from my daily summons and that is uncalled for!!!!
Decent
by Yawn101xxx on 2020/05/23 03:27
Great game. Two main gripes: the game tries to pair you with much higher opponents in PvP, causing you to re-roll and waste material.., and as always, you can’t get very far without spending a crapload of money in-game. It’d get 5 stars if it were a one time purchase kind of game, and your progress didn’t depend on the size of your bank account. Additional note: I’ve noticed “increased chance” of getting something better never happens. Must be because I don’t spend money in game. Still fun, but you’ll never be able to compete with those who spend money in-game.
Pay to Win
by nahbroh on 2020/05/23 03:16
Just Pay to win! And very expensive by the way! Just look at the picture they post with all that 5 star heroes... thats hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
Too Much Greed
by just let me send this on 2020/05/23 01:55
I’ve been playing everyday for just over a year and it has been harder and harder to get items for my hero’s without spending tons of cash. You throw so many events out here and barely give anything even if you spends tons of cash. Too much greed. I enjoy the game and will continue to play but you are NOT getting another dime out of me.
Too much BS
by RandDean on 2020/05/22 22:55
Note the reviews you see are over a year old always good glowing! resort by most recent..... hiding reviews should not be tolerated! It can be fun! But it’s over loaded! To much to do, too much time! It’s all about money and trying to extort funds from you! Can you play for free .. Yes it’s would be a colossal waste of your time . You no longer earn your way.. you pay your way! It is what it is, progress will be slow but the game is fun! If it’s not your cup of tea you could simply Quit; uninstall the game and move on!
Loved this game. Emphasis on loved.
by Easily taken advantage of on 2020/05/22 21:45
I have been playing this game for a while. Gameplay is great except for tournaments, they are unfair. They all attack when you make one move. But that’s not my issue. I just did a 7500 gem, 30 pull and got absolute garbage and they grind the dirt in the wound by not even giving me one lousy bonus draw. With the amount of money I’ve spent on this game, to get NOTHING is insulting. Empires has lost this cash cow. I will not spend one more penny on this game.

by Dissappinted 1812 on 2020/05/22 11:16
This game will screw you. Thankfully I never got into a hole of overspending but would spend here and there. At first it gave me a couple 5* and seemed fair. If you want to actually compete in this game you need multiple 5* teams and will take years to get if you don’t make some purchases here and there. I saved enough this month to do multiple 30 pulls in multiple events and got nothing from the game both times. I would be better off helping a Nigerian prince.
Disrespectful bullies who rip off players.
by dee is for dominatrix 1983 on 2020/05/22 09:27
So hero’s are awarded on a lottery type system getting really good ones takes a lot of time money and work. Strategy when u do and u start doing well the people who made the game will change them and make them worth less they woulnt care what u think . First they downgraded every player and made us purchase emblems and things that give u emblems . Now the better hero’s just certain ones are being cut back forcing some players to loose years of hard work and hundreds of dollars worth of things that went into these hero’s once a great game now a joke . Microsoft doesn’t change windows after u buy it to make it less value able. Making my daughter cry cutting her hero down after the money lots hundreds every month I spent shame on you. I curse. You who did this May u lose what matters to u . Because it’s better for everyone the hitler had that same thinking the Jews were just living to well compared to there German neighbors. If u play this an get ripped off u we’re warned..

The developers in this game have absolutely no clue about this game. Don’t spend any money. Don’t do rain. You will find out that you’ll lose quickly. The whole point about get strong. Is to Beat people that are weaker than you. You will find out very quickly though that you not. We could be three times stronger and and lose like your standings still. Unfair and unbalanced.

Ridiculous!!!!!
by Yasss Jett on 2020/05/21 02:15
You made this game where I bet everyone and anyone who played this game has to spend real money. Every. Single. Time the screens always pop up to buy and spend money on this and that. There is no possible way to make things faster because you overcharge more and give less. Well, hope you’re happy with your riches from this quarantine. Not only that, I’m reporting a feedback and why in the hell do I have to put a “Players” name? If this is a way for you guys to not get complaints, then just erase all of the feedback submit report permanently. Everything I clicked on always have the PLAYER*
Game balance is terrible
by amgpsachgb on 2020/05/20 18:38
This game has potential but as usual the developer keep putting out new characters and costumes that are totally unbalanced to rake in the last few dollars before the game dies.
Don’t play
by NotTyro on 2020/05/20 15:18
This is a painful grinding game and you will need to spend to take down your enemy. I get really annoyed by the constant attacks that I can never grow. After a few hundreds in, I decided to stop. They do all these micro promotions which make you want to buy... don’t get trap. Stay out and get out of the door and enjoy the nature is a better bet. Oh even you spend money, you aren’t guarantee a good hero. Don’t waste money in this game. Updating the review here. Still not find this game fun to play and it is extremely difficult to learn. The randomness of drop of the hero’s are horrible and it is so hard to level. Go play hero wars. It’s much more fun. This game gets a thumbs down from me
Too much $
by dont bot her on 2020/05/20 14:02
I have played better. This is a very expensive game to be able to get very far in. Heroes and items to ascend are costly. Odds of getting one without paying are next to nothing.
Bait and switch
by Mr. Roybot on 2020/05/20 13:22
Recently developer’s decided to nerf two of the number one cards. These cards take lots of resources (months of play for materials). For compensation we get a few tokens. I want those materials back, so I can level cards that are better choices (now).
They’ve ruined this game, look elsewhere
by EGsnrs on 2020/05/20 11:13
They bait you into spending money to earn heroes, then nerf them. Small Giant has ruined this game. It’s just stealing from consumers now. Buyer beware.
Daylight Robbery!
by gypsy4real on 2020/05/19 22:39
If you’ve decided to download this game and try to be as competitive as the other Beta or paid players on this game, prepare to shell out thousands of $$$$ and i’m not exaggerating.. the probability of pulling up decent 5* heroes is virtually NIL or nearly zero, in fact it is 1-3%!! so you’ve been warned, if your bank account is loaded then go ahead enjoy this game, otherwise find another game that would give you a good time without burning your pocket and there are hundreds of them out there. Bye!
Just being Honest
by Bogs7 on 2020/05/19 22:24
I wanna be clear. I do enjoy playing this game, but out of fairness to the company I must make it known that I and many other people I know do not pay for app games. The creators and producers do great work and I just want them to invest their talents in ways that get them where they want to go. However you decide to take this information thank you for the opportunity to play🙂. Peace be with you.

Long time users ripped off. Don't be a new victim of a greedy company.
by kfurbshdi on 2020/05/19 18:52
I am a long time player of this game. Recently, an effort was made by the company to decrease the strength of a certain hero in the game after complaints by less than 50% of its users. They did so, and did not offer any feasible compensation to players who spent good, albeit optional, money to procure said hero. This is essentially fraud. They offered a product, accepted money for that product, and then changed it after a few weeks without regard to what people had spent. If I purchase a car and after two weeks the dealer takes it back and gives me a cheaper model without reimbursement for the difference in value, I would sue. I understand this is just a game, but the greed and lack of consideration to its loyal fan base is unacceptable. Do not waste your time and money. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
READ THIS! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!
by qazplm00neg on 2020/05/19 16:35
Anyone thinking of spending money, just don’t. They have and are continuing to degrade the abilities of heroes after you’ve spent money with no recourse. You’ll most likely end up with all of the current obsolete heroes and won’t be very competitive in the game. The creators opted to go with the path of screwing players over instead of making all of the obsolete heroes that *everyone* has more competitive. While this might not fall legally under a scam it’s certainly ridiculous that this is allowed to happen and how many players support it while being hurt by the board of obsolete heroes they have as well.
Fun but...
by Scabby Johnson on 2020/05/19 15:23
I have to say I enjoy playing especially with the people in my alliance. But the game is too dependent on spending and the upgrade wait times are ridiculous. The game offers little in the way of acquiring items to summon, ascend and leveling heroes without spending a lot of money on a monthly basis. When you do spend its still not a guarantee that you’re going to get something new and useful. Free players usually get the shaft as it’s nearly impossible to pull something decent on single pulls that you have to work weeks to get. The only way to up your chances to get decent pulls is spending enough to do 10-30x pull and I’ve seen where people have been shafted hard on those. I’d rate better if the game wasn’t so money hungry. It ranks in greed with games like Mobile strike and ffxv: a new empire.
Lots of fun play NO Pay
by 🎋🅰🌱🅰 on 2020/05/19 14:01
I have been playing this game now for about 6 months and love it. I have a very strong team and didn’t have to pay to get it. There is no chat except within your own alliance so it stops a lot of the bullying or negative messages just because someone looses to you. I honestly love this aspect because it helps my anxiety EXTREMELY. All in all this game is fun and even when you do get attacked or don’t play for days, you don’t loose months of work or anything that actually cost you anything.

This game is rated a four just to get this review up for all to see...do not download this game do not spend money on this game, it is a front for to exploit us and fund terror plots. Why else would they add in characters that you can’t beat only to force you to spend money to try and match up to those that spend hundreds of dollars a WEEK, and for what? You get nothing in return, so save your money and time and stay away from this and all games from this company.

Overall fun
by Rdendi1 on 2020/05/18 13:51
The puzzle aspect of the game is fun. The main quests offer a challenge with a rewarding and fair difficulty curve. The PvP aspect is terrible, however. The game will give you combinations that are statistically impossible (meaning if one color is your weak spot and you clear 10 tiles, somehow you’ll get 7 out of 10 tiles in the color that doesn’t help you. Obviously the game doing what it can to make you lose and hopefully drop money to progress). The hero “Telluria” is objectively broken and it’s inclusion in the game makes the game 5-10% less fun for anyone that doesn’t own Telluria. Good game but lacking balance in some aspects and obviously working against the player in others.

Game is dying
by JessBFire on 2020/05/17 21:00
Unfortunately this game suffers from the same issues a lot of other successful games before it have, introducing new content without alienating your existing player base. This game has introduced some new characters, mainly Telluria, that make the game completely unplayable except to the 1% of players who spent big $$$ to get the character. Game creators now are in a pickle, as they are losing their casual player revenue base, and can’t fix the issue without alienating the much smaller base of pay to play folks.

I’ve spent so much money on this game and my team still gets beat by the weakest people and it takes forever to get them stronger, no matter what I do I keep getting the same people when I spend money to get better players, I’ve got so many of the same weak ass characters it’s disgusting, such a money pit
Great game but can get expensive
by AquaCaveman on 2020/05/17 01:18
I love the game and it’s multiple facets: base building, hero building, Titans, alliance vs alliance wars, and PVP raids but if you want to be competitive and get the best heroes you will have to spend money.
Fun game that can get VERY expensive
by yolo but spend forever on 2020/05/17 00:53
I love the game play, but to get a truly strong, competitive team you need to wait for years to get the heroes and materials you need, or you need to spend a ton of money for a chance at getting there faster. And there is no guarantees on anything, you can literally spend $100 in one shot and get nothing valuable in return if the random drawings don’t go your way.

Bait and Switch Game
by random listener34 on 2020/05/15 04:13
This game practices bait and switch. BUYER BEWARE. You will definitely start to see a lot of negative reviews about this game in the next few weeks. So let me explain one concept of the game. You buy these things called gems to pull for heroes through a summons portal. The chances of getting a particular hero is tiered. Example: Some five star heroes in this game literally have less than 1.3% chance of being summoned, with lesser stared heroes being more common. For these last few months, Empires and Puzzles saw a HUGE QUARTER INCREASE (millions of dollars) particularly due to three new heroes that were released. These heroes have been tested extensively in beta before being released to the empires community. I myself spent a fortune on gems to pull them (bc of the extremely low rate to acquire them). After acquiring these heroes, and spending even more for their ascension items, SG decides to nerf these heroes - and not just in a small way. Basically they offered a hero everyone would pull for, only to nerf it a month later - replacing the hero with a version NO BODY WOULD HAVE SPENT GEMS PULLING FOR. This is literally a bait and switch. I will no longer spend any more gems because of this practice. This is merely to serve as a warning for other players who come across this game. You have been warned. I WILL EDIT MY REVIEW ACCORDINGLY. Edit: Someone in the review section wrote “perfect game”. I mean c’mon, if you’re going to write a FAKE REVIEW DONT MAKE IT SO OBVIOUS.
So called.... “balance update”
by Kwang C. on 2020/05/15 02:12
Games direction has been going wrong direction since they have been acquired by zynga. They have been releasing stronger and stronger heroes each month (of course pay $ to acquire) to recoup their investment, which I find it understandable. This game gets one star because they did not honor the status of their powerful heroes and nerfed it. They rarely do balance changes because they do not care about weak heroes but this time around they used balance change as excuse to dumb down the powerful heroes they sold 2 month ago. This trend seems to continue and will be the death of this game.

This game is really good. But seriously the amount of time it takes to gain exp is simply too long. Five waves of enemies and only like 2-3k. That’s unacceptable. Then the drops you get are really bad and repetitive. That’s why I left the first time. I came back because it’s a good game but the grinds to gain xp are too long. Another thing is upgrading buildings; specifically training camps. Spend the time and resources to get to the point where you can get better hero’s and still getting average Joe’s. This is literally killing any motivation to keep playing this game. I get it’s really about the money for this game but whoever is running this how about listening to your community of players. This is a good game. All the little bs stuff is what hold you back. Sincerely, Might not come back. P.S. The rating is a reflection of my frustration and not the game itself. Overall, staid game is a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It’s a scam!

Very greedy company! Let’s you spend on heroes and then degrade it. Fraud!

One question you need to ask yourself before you start this game
by Kev1960k on 2020/05/12 22:27
How competitive do I want to be? If you want to be highly competitive, you are going to have to pour lots of money into this game to get the best heroes. Then, when you have finally got the best ones, the developers will nerf one or more of your heroes, and lucky you, you get to pour more money into the game. On the other hand, if you do not want to be highly competitive (that is, not spend a lot of money), this is a decent game.

Allows you to progress at your own pace. Would be nice to be able to do a little more without having to pay anything, but I suppose that’s standard now. Increased rate of higher players on free summons would help keep up with people who do put money into it. But good mix of various game types!!
This game is super fun, however...
by Dizywiz on 2020/05/10 07:41
You need to watch mana generation, because what normally would set off a special doesn’t always work. The issue is usually in the war feature where every point matters. Being a seasoned Empires and Puzzles account I know which heroes do what and what heroes don’t do, but mana generation seems to be the one glitch I have the most. Very fast heroes use as many tiles as average on some turns, some turns it’s correct. And the customer support makes you jump through a gazillion hoops just to send a message. Otherwise, this game is fun and I suggest don’t spend as just tAkes a little time to level up.

Game and devs aim to frustrate
by #nonerf on 2020/05/10 01:32
This horrible game encourages you to spend real money for in game currency to use to buy heroes. There is about a 1% chance you will get a good hero and 99% chance you will get what you will consider trash. So even after you spend tons of money to finally get the good hero with the great special ability it doesn’t really matter because you need to match certain tiles in order to use your hero’s ability and the tiles are “random”. I use quotes because so much of this game feels rigged against you. For example, my opponent has a hero whose special has a 50% chance to revive a fallen ally and I also have that same hero. Their hero revives all their allies while mine revives none. That is within the realm of probability but when it’s three times in a row it is incredibly frustrating and makes me question the randomness of it all. That is just one example of how the game feels rigged. Another problem I have is the developers created and beta tested a new hero and then released it publicly with great stats and abilities. Of course most people had to spend a lot of money to get this hero through their in game currency. Now they are going to nerf this same hero after people spent their money in order to obtain this great hero because it was a great hero. As of right now there is no plans to reimburse the money or materials (which took me 6 months to get) that I used to level it. Their terms of service is clear that they have the right to do that but it feels to me like a bait and switch. They appear to me to not care about time or money invested into this game.
Buyer beware!!
by farmertrace on 2020/05/10 00:55
Just an fyi you have to spend huge amounts of money to get really good characters in the game and then they change the stats ok them occasionally to nerf said character basically making any money you spent on a good one void. Don’t waste your time and money on this game!

Great game but there are issues
by Charvel74 on 2020/05/09 13:17
They released a fantastic hero in March. Many people bought lots of gems to get summons. After people have spent a lot of time and resources leveling that hero along with supporting hero’s they are making big changes. The new changes will make this hero mediocre at best. Seems like beta testing didn’t quite get this one right. Sure they have you sign an agreement saying they can change hero’s at anytime for any reason. Still seems like a bait and switch if you ask a lot of players in the game.
Bait and switch tactics
by DLM65 on 2020/05/09 12:50
I love this game I have been playing for over a year. Since Zynga took over the game has become very expensive. You can play for free but it is a competitive game and I spend to get the edge. They have started bringing out heroes that we spend a ton to pull then they say they are too strong and are weakening them to the point it was wasted money to even bother to get the hero. This is no way to treat the hand that feeds them.
Ridiculous Wait Times
by MatBane on 2020/05/09 12:36
*Update* I quit the game. Don’t waste your time unless you are willing to pay for heroes rather than training for them. I got to level 12, and now it takes 2 days to train a guaranteed 3 star hero. That is 3 out of 5 possible stars (in other words an average hero). I hate to think of what it’s like to train a 5 star. It’s obvious that they are trying to force you to pay something to avoid these wait times by making them unrealistically long, but I will just move on to something better instead. I get that they have to make money somehow, but this is going too far by making it unrealistic for budget gamers to continue. This really is a pay to play game. With so many other options out there, they should try to compete a little better. I give it two stars only because it was fun while it lasted. *End Update* I really liked the concept of the game. The battles rely not only on match 3 but also on matching the best 3 available. And the varying characters and special abilities make things interesting. My biggest issue with the game is the base building. Every time you upgrade a building you have to wait longer for it to finish. Makes sense until you are only at level 10 and your building takes a whole day to finish. And training a medium level hero? There’s another day. The wait times get real old real fast. I could understand it taking a 5 star hero a day to train, but I am only trying to train 3 stars right now. And it takes longer than a day. Also, in some cases you only have a chance that you are going to get a 3 star, and it still takes a day!? This is beyond stupid. I will probably end up quitting soon if the wait times don’t improve.
Unfair power practices in game by the company
by Han8436 on 2020/05/09 11:19
This game is hard to play effectively unless you spend bunch of money. I’ve been playing almost 2 months & spend lots of money to get stronger in this game. This company is going backwards to power down an essential power base of a hero that I have to appease a small number of complainers. My whole strength was in this one hero Telluria. Now they’re taking that hero’s power way down & crippling me. I will not spend any more money & phase out of this game soon. Only reason I’ll take just a little bit of time is in consideration of my alliance members.
Bait and switch
by Tpddde on 2020/05/09 10:58
This game will come out with a great hero now and then, people pay money and get them leveled up then they will pull the rug out from under you by drastically changing the hero once you got them leveled. Don’t spend your money on this game, it’s not worth it.
Hungry Hungry Hippos
by AceCourier on 2020/05/09 09:35
I’ve played this game for over three months and have been subscribed to the “VIP” membership for the majority of the time ($5 a month). This game is designed to quickly scale up the level difficulty for PVE and PVP matches so that the player feels unable to complete certain milestones without spending. Decent heroes have 4 sets of levels and each set contains 70 levels. The final set requires materials that players either shell out 100s of dollars for in special “deals” that pop up every time the game is loaded or they wait for ages hoping an item will drop from a chest. It’s money grubbing and dishonest. The summoning odds for heroes is terrible. The pool of heroes is stacked at the gate so that even if you pull a 5* it’s probably not the one that you want. I am not going to continue playing when the only plan I can see for the future is an endless slog or a significantly lighter wallet. Happy Trails
Spent too much to have them destroy your team
by kreeves1986 on 2020/05/09 09:20
I have spent thousands on this game witch of fine it is pay to play if u want to go anywhere but I’m fine with that what I’m not fin with is when u pay out a ton to get certain characters them put the time and energy and money into them for SG to turn around and nerf a character that means make them crap after you have put all the work into them it’s as if you buy a Lamborghini that you have duped up and had a custom paint job and they call you back to the dealership for some maintenance and when u come to pick it up the pull out a geo metro maybe not that bad but it’s a huge slap in the face I will probably be leaving this game sorry to say because it does give me a ton of joy but after all of this it leafy a bad taste in my mouth

by Recazu on 2020/05/09 03:54
... this is the most fun mobile game I’ve ever played. Takes a while to get started, but that gives it that awesome “just one more turn” feeling as you build out your bench of heroes. Find a good alliance and take their advice - you will be surprised at how much you don’t know about the game. Just do yourself a favor - set a limit in advance to your spending if you’re not free-to-play. Its really tempting to chase heroes, just remember there will always be another, better hero. Don’t go all-in, just enjoy the ride.
Not happy with nerfing Telluria
by wyliekat on 2020/05/09 03:47
I saw that the decision has been made to reduce Telluria minion percentage and generation of hit points, I am displeased as a person who has let this game play organically without purchasing tons of packages and mods, I finally got a character that gave me an edge to play against the serial spenders.. I feel that it’s too much modification, I find that the majority of the people on forum agree.those that disagree and want her reduce are less, maybe a better way to modify her is to reduce hp regeneration but let the minions still have the inherent percentage of 18%. I love this game but the chance of pulling 5 stars are rare, let us who play this game for free have some chance to compete against the pay it to win it folks
if you spend money don’t expect to get what they promised
by mtoguz on 2020/05/08 23:22
You spend money to try and get something (works like a casino - a statistical %) when you do get what you were hoping for, they will lower the specs of what you spent hard cash for and you will and up with a useless character. But, and a very important but, they will not touch a similarly above average (what they call over powered) character if it’s been around long enough and already in the roster of the top players for a while. In essence if you’re a new player you will never make it in to the top rankings, no matter what you are willing to spend, because guess what? New heroes that could unbalance the old players are taboo. Basically a scam going on, promise something, say you messed up, made it too high spec, turn it in to garbage, hope people will spend again forgetting how you are willing to turn a released and very powerful character in to a totally useless one, despite all the money and time people spent to get that specific character. My recommendation? if you decide to download, don’t spend a dime. Oh and luck has very little to do with the board you get since a while ago they played with that aspect too, now you can have 2 out of three rounds with every color tile except the ones you need, often, you’re so “unlucky” that you won’t get a single hit off. Rigged for the old players to stay at the top and new comers to spend money thinking they have a chance to play for the top, except they don’t.

Deceitful
by Corrieroberts on 2020/05/08 19:58
0 stars my attack team is 4213 however my war team is 4208. I believe you all are skeptical and don't believe everything everybody tells you all, so I'm going to send you some of my images. This is unfair and I don't want to loose my account investment of time and $. but i've known that of 7 people in line app have quit the game. i'm sure you know about a lot more than that. Maybe you could make war loot better. in the beginning of this game it was the most app that i've played all the time. However now i've done the math it's every 6 months for me i get 5* Lord you should see all the duplicates i have. New players are having a harder time cause the drops from a titan are ridiculous and in order to level up their five star hero's they have to wait a whole year. i'm the one who gave you the correct info that people were selling their accounts. Thanks for not thanking me. but i've also noticed your greed. i haven't seen your .99 cent sales exception halloween 2019. i know of others who spent so much they went broke. i only spend when i can afford it I also avoid the 10 pulls. I am a vip player atm. but that won't last long after i stop my upgrading. i get why you all do it. However maybe every once a year do special event where it's easier for everyone to get Ascension items and or a five star hero heck even both. i still play the game but now it's starting to feel like a job. you have taken out a-lot of the fun and excitement. if you were to put in special stuff like that. i guarantee u not only would people want to play more but they might have fun doing it. I am sorry if I came off a lite mean but i have been upset with this game for over a year and a half. i can't take a break from the game for fear of loosing my account and time. but I was a loyal fan and spender for a bit. i used to tell everyone not to play this game cause it was like drugs. not so much any more i've lost interest. Once more I changed phones and I was logged in under the same account my own stupidity. i liked it that so much my game time was fun at one point. now because they don't believe anybody anymore about anything I will lose that account if I tried to change it or I will lose my main account which has thousands of heroes not thousand 998 to be exact all five star and four-star duplicates. So as you can see if you play the game long enough they don't give you anything but the same thing.ALONG WITH THAT IVE SPENT SO MUCH MONEY I HAD NO WAY OF NOT EXCEPTING NEW CONTRACT. MY attorney says they can't change the contract mid game especially if you the owner of your account has already put $$$$$$$$ into it. Also i get the whole contract thing but they should be giving people back the $ if they did not want to accept. one contract supersedes the other it's the first one i signed. i'm actually thinking of taking a break but if you take a break u loose your game after 90 days. these guys use to be sweet. the game USED to fun. the first year of playing i got more 5* then i can count. DONT GET THIS GAME. THEY HAVE MADE MAJOR CHANGES THAT BENEFIT ONLY THEM. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE THEY SERVE ONLY THE$$$$$. I understand the money part but they have gone above and beyond greed. They have gotten to the that power point. there is another game out there same platform and different characters. much nicer owners and they seem to have gotten it right. should have stuck with them. but android only.
Fun, but terribly unbalanced PvP
by DeltaRAIL on 2020/05/08 19:53
This game is worth playing, but prepared to be very frustrated at times. The puzzles and skills are fun and the graphics are pretty good for a game of this type. If you like puzzle RPGs this one is pretty good. Definitely better than Marvel Puzzlequest. However there are some severe faults in the PvP. Unlike many games I would call unbalanced because they are pay to win, Empires and Puzzles doesn’t feel like it, and in fact there are some things tied to advancement you cannot readily purchase except rare events and have to be earned. The PvP suffers because the defending team, in the developer’s attempt to balance a live attacker versus an AI defense, is overpowered and gains mana way too fast. The character system also needs to be re-balances, with some characters being insanely overpowered and a couple being extremely underpowered. Were the above issues fixed, this game would be a 4 or 5 star.
DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME!

Well designed long term mobile game
by applekat311 on 2019/01/11 21:25
I am a long time gamer of all varieties. I take my hat off to small giant for this game. The game play is just right for a mobile device. It’s got enough flavors of puzzle, rpg, and world building to keep you involved. The story is campy and silly, but that’s fine, he game never pretended not to be a little silly—and I like that. There’s little bits of humor everywhere if you look. I’ve been playing for going on a year and change now. Still have stuff to do and hero teams to build. You also don’t have to spend money to succeed, at all. It helps, sure, but there’s no gating with money, just increases your odds of getting good stuff if you have more chances at the hero lottery, so to speak. It’s also the only mobile game that does group team building right for the small screen. Prepping for wars and strategizing how to win as an alliance of 30 some people has been the best part for me. Reminds me of when I used to have more time for games like WoW. Sure you don’t get the full immersion, but still get some of the feels with this little game. My only beef is what a lot of folks complain about, the raid system seems super unbalanced and is downright annoying at times. But, it’s apparent small giant are always working their butts off to tweak it, so hats off to them again for that. Also, this game is not for the impatient. Strategy is the log game sometimes.
Addictive
by Pretty stone face on 2018/10/20 13:15
I do like playing this game, I have been playing awhile and check on my empire frequently. Maybe too much. I especially like the match game twist, it’s a bit more engaging than an idle RPG. There is always a new mission or quest to complete. Titan to gang up on, Heroes to level up, or something to build or upgrade. It is very much a long term game, not for the impatient instant gratification types. I dare say you are better off not shelling out a lot of money for better heroes. If you take the slow steady approach you will have the ascension items before you need them most of the time. If you buy heroes you will end up having to wait for items to strengthen them far too often. If I were to make one complaint it would be how the raids are handled. Never mind your team power score, or even the multiple times they have revised how they are calculated, they have little bearing on your ability to win raids. It all comes down to how many special attacks you get off. Who ever makes the most special attacks, wins. Special attack energy is almost always slanted. The winner typical makes two to three attacks for the losers one. There will be seasons where it’s slanted in your favor, other times it will be slanted against you. Those rare times you are equally matched a raid can last upwards of 30 moves or more. If there were not rewards for engaging in raids, I wouldn’t bother doing raids. It’s that much of a nuisance.
Fruitless complaints
by Howi--thelions.den on 2019/08/02 10:23
I just wanted to add my 2 certs here. There are so many people that are writing reviews and complaining about HAVING to spend money in order to advance your 4 and 5* heroes in this game. Maybe if you want to ascend them rapidly but if you want to actually get into the game then spending cash is not really needed. I've been playing this game for around 2 years now and i am a member in a fantastic alliance who plays together for FUN. Granted I do have a hero that I got in Feb of 2018 as my monthly free luck of the draw and haven't been able to fully ascend and for the longest time I wasn't having any luck with lvl 20 training and then BOOM I started getting 5* heroes from training alone. Multiple heroes. And I've been able to ascend them pretty rapidly. Would I like to see some ascension items easier to obtain for everyone, absolutely! Would I like to see it not cost as much for certain things like upgrading buildings or research? Sure. But I get it and I still enjoy the game and I will continue to play the game. As for the "pop-ups" that appear....those are just letting you know what's being offered in the game. Close them out and start playing. It's that simple. The BIGGEST THING ME AND MY ALLIANCE ARE HOPING FOR AND WOULD LOVE TO SEE IS INTER ALLIANCE TRADING!!that would be fantastic. Other than that keep up the excellent work. Empires and puzzles is a great mobile game.
Great game
by Slawguhy on 2020/01/16 12:35
The reviews on here that state you have to “pay to win” and “never guaranteed you do win when you spend x amount” are Bogus claims. Playing this game is a marathon, not a dAsh to the finish. It’s team building; material farming adventure that takes months to get every character and item your so desperately wanting. The Months it takes to lever characters, upgrade buildings, play through the story and quests takes time and patience. You can spend money to get the things your so desperately wanting now with odd/chances against you OR you can just play the game and wait for the quest and tournaments to give you the items your wanting(takes time) What your goals in the gameplay can also differ. So any reviews telling you about bad character/teams or not getting them. Those people know they spend money with odd slim and change with every season. and spending money is no guarantee to any item due to the lottery/change type of buying. They tell you the % of chance to get certain items/ If your looking for a game you can dig into, put in the time needed to make it the team and build it have patience because they give you gem to spend, they give you many items to build you characters. Give this game the your time it deserves before giving it a review. **Happy Adventures Slawguhy
Infuriating, rewarding, frustratingly fun
by Billy digital on 2019/10/23 22:10
Been playing this game for about a year now. Partly because I’ve made some great friends in my alliance I’ve been a daily player. The game itself is a clever combination of elements built around a core match 3 setup. The defining gameplay feature centers on the placement of your matches on the board dictate what enemy you hit, it opens up a depth of strategy and fun not found in other rpg/match 3 mashups. As others have noted it is a looong term game. As far as requiring money to advance, It certainly helps, but there are many high level players in our alliance that have spent $0-$20 over a year span. Most frustrating element is drop rates on items needed to ascend your 5* heroes. Honestly if you play a lot you will be able to pick up the items you need to ascend 4* heroes regularly, but those dang top end materials are few and far between. It took me 10 months to get enough materials to max my first 5* hero. This game is a grind, the greed of developers can be a bit offensive, but the irony of spending money on gems to get better heroes is the better heroes are worthless until you play the game enough to get the items needed to make them stronger so it is really counterproductive to your game to do so. Better off being patient, finding a good alliance and letting your team grow organically.
Adjustments

I’ve never put money towards a game ever in my life. Empires & Puzzles is the only game I’ve enjoyed playing. I admire the different deals you guys do with obtaining more gems. However, there are minor things that can be modified to make my rating jump to 5 stars. I just feel like you should be able to upgrade multiple buildings at once. Waiting 2 days for one building to finish is ridiculous. Either upgrading multiple buildings at once or changing the time frame would be suitable. Then, there’s the troops that can’t be upgraded. What’s the point in having all the same troops if I can’t add them to one another. I have 1 star troops just sitting there for no reason. I’m given literally the same troops every random draw. The algorithm for that should be fixed to where it’s not so rare to get 4 or 5 star troops/ heros. And if there is a button to level up your troops then that should be more apparent. Instead of searching high and low to figure out if it’s possible to do so. Also, how are you supposed to use the emblems without any since of direction? I’m over here stuck with 41 of the same emblem because I don’t know when I can use it nor how I can. Other than that, I really do enjoy the game but it would be better if my suggestions were carefully thought out.
Awesome, but it can be better
by nicolasusa on 2020/04/02 17:26
Playing this game was fun at first, but for well over a year now, the game has lost its appeal. I used to get wonderful loot from chests of all kinds, as well as from Mystic Vision, but the rewards and loot has dropped considerably, nowadays the loot which is rewarded to me is so common, that I can just simply play regular levels on the world map and collect the same items. Seriously, why are we getting so many of the items we almost never use, and practically never get the more important stuff? I must also add that I am extremely disappointed in this new update, specifically the removal of Atlantis coins as possible loot from all types of chests, tournaments, Mystic Vision, and all other rewards. I don’t understand the logic about removing them, why can’t Atlantis coins just remain as possible loot along with Valhalla coins? What if players have already completed season 2 in both difficulty levels, but have not been fortunate enough to acquire the more important season 2 heroes? If they are only to be rewarded by completing season 2 stages for the first time, and by defeating the rare sea dragons which only come around during Atlantis Rises, the how are they to gain a decent number of coins to do summons? It makes no sense, Valhalla coins should simply be added to possible daily loot, not to replace Atlantis coins. Please bring back the Atlantis coins, and please improve the regular daily rewards, if only by a small percentage. Thank you.
I’d give it 4 but
by Walker bait 3xp on 2019/06/18 09:53
I’d give it 4 or even 5 stars, the graphics & game play are really good, but I have an issue with the drop rates of the items you need to level up your legendary hero’s. It’s almost non existent. Even if you spend the money on the “special” promos you don’t get the items you need to level up past 70. Example: I’ve needed spy glasses to level up one of my legendary heroes. I’ve got 3......in almost 6 months of daily playing. 3. I’ve needed shields for 2 of my other hero’s for just as long. 6 months and I still can’t get the needed ingredients to level anyone up. Also the drop rates for legendary characters is very low to begin with, so when you’re fortunate enough to get one you want to level them up. A lot of players drop out due to this frustration. Really need to look at these drop rates as it turns a fun game into a grind & then it’s no fun. Update: our group was chatting about this and our group leader has had 5 hero’s that he hasn’t been able to level up after over 500 days & a lot of money spent. All of them ice hero’s. Since my review I came back to drop it to 1 star. The drop rates have gotten worse. You pretty much have to spend big money in order to level up legendary hero’s. Our group has been slowly disintegrating due to this. So if you play be warned, you won’t ever get anywhere without spending a ton of money & then still sit there with hero’s not playable. Congrats to the developers on making a money tree.
Hit to miss ratio
by Ashfoot01 on 2019/04/12 04:15
Now, don’t get me wrong; I really do like this game. I enjoy the story behind it, the game is including while using strategy, and also has an option where the game plays for you. The heroes are clearly thought through, and each design is unique to the type of hero and the way they play their role in the game. The play is smooth, with little to no lag. However, not every diamond is cut perfectly. During the game, whenever a move is played on an enemy, the hits have a chance of missing the target. No big deal, that’s to be expected in a game like this. However, my last plays of recent levels (and this may just be me not quite being far enough into the game yet to get past this) have shown that the moves I play tend to miss the enemies on almost every hit without fail. The enemies, on the other hand, whether NPC or player, have a much higher chance of actually hitting their chosen targets. Again, this may just be a problem with my game or something that is just unlucky for me. This is my only real problem with this game, though. Gameplay is relaxing and fun, and the occasional Titan that pops up is fun to engage with your teammates. A very well thought through RPG, and certainly one to be respected for the work and creativity put into it.
New games, new names, same problems
by Al1223 on 2018/03/08 11:37
A needlessly elaborate schematic designed to confuse you into thinking you can play for free. Quickly gets too hard to do so. But more than the standard and expected money grab is the baffling added difficulty thrown at you to actually *play* the basic puzzle game. Upgrade a web of buildings in a long linear series to Recruit heroes to train heroes up levels to ascend heroes of five different types. With taking days to move each step. Why stop your gamers from playing? 1 star not for the money grab but the inane thoughts in the "boardroom" that this style of play is likeable by those that play puzzle matching games. Speaking of money grabs though. This developers here are masterclass. You can (and will) pay hundreds of dollars (I have spent close to 1000 on this game) buying *chances* to get what you need. And the chances are (not surprisingly) near zero. Exact chances? Guess. And you won’t have to guess who figured out that in their boardroom? You will be laughed at in that boardroom. Key items are kept from you from fully ascending you heroes though which can’t be bought. Ascending them *if* you get lucky and pay money is amazingly difficult at higher levels with months of grinding (during which time you will be spending more money). Honestly this game makes you wonder why anyone would deal illegal drugs. Here the developers have found something more profitable, zero material cost and somehow legal.
Most rigged game I’ve ever downloaded.
by AKSLIMSHADY on 2019/07/20 08:36
Seriously, eff this game. So many popups from within the app, not even external ads, make the game borderline unplayable especially right after you open it. $30 sale here, $20 sale there, and they pop up right as you exit out of other windows, but they put the “purchase” button right by the exit button so it’s easy to accidentally buy in-game currency, “gems,” which you need an astronomical amount of to do anything. Expect to pay about $70 in real U.S. dollars PER HERO to level them up to max lvl. Also, the Raids option is absolute BS, automated teams deal twice to 4x as much damage as your own with no chance to parry/block attacks. You maybe get 3-4 turns to beat an opponents team before you’re dead, because their automated dmg is 3x as potent as yours. Titans are ridiculously hard to defeat especially by small alliances, the developers beg for and all but steal your money constantly, they keep saying “we fixed Raids to make them more fair” which really means “we made them even harder because %$&@ you, AND we gave bots and spoofers extra damage and defense.” I want to drive to the developers’ studio and shove Colen’s fire axe where the sun don’t shine, this game had such potential and it just does not deliver. Money-grubbing, cheesy, extremely difficult without pay-to-play, unless you want to throw your phone out of sheer frustration and then ragequit like the weeb you are then don’t download this game.
This game is straight pay-to-win
by Adam Sessler on 2019/09/18 14:42
P&E is fun & addictive, but is ABSOLUTELY pay-to-win. You can’t be a good team w/o having 5-star heroes on your roster, & it’s virtually impossible to get a single 5-star w/o paying. Anyone who has more than 1 or 2 5-star heroes in their deck has spent hundreds of dollars on this game. The top teams who have their entire deck stacked w/ 5-star heroes have undoubtedly spent over a thousand dollars. People may go into the game thinking they can just grind & get 5-star heroes slowly & patiently. It doesn’t happen. Earning gems w/o buying packs are too slow; you will legitimately spend a month to earn enough gem to summon 1 hero, & get a 3-star. You have save & grind for several months to earn enough gems to draw 10 at a time, & you will only gets 3 or 4 star heroes. Realistically, the only way to get a 5-star is to do a 3 or 4 10-draws in a row, & earning enough gems to do that many 10-draws will take months, if not a year of grinding. The other way to get a 5-star hero thru a level 20 Training Center. Well, it takes months to build a level 20 TC, & once you have it, it takes a lot of resources & 2 full days to try to train a 5-star, but even then the drop rates for 5-stars from a TC is basically non-existent. A guy on my team in this game was keeping a tally of how many heroes he was getting from his TCs, & he had done over 70 by last count & gotten only 3 & 4-stars. That’s literally months of effort for squat.
I’m not a gambler
by worship junky on 2019/05/10 00:38
I would give this game a higher rating. There’s so many good things about the game play and different ways to play. I’ve played it everyday for about 8 months. I have my stronghold at 20 and reached level 30. I’m embarrassed to say how much I have spent on gems. I don’t mind spending money to get what I need. But I don’t like to gamble. It’s why I’ve stopped spending as often. I have two games going on different devices and I have only 2 five star heroes and one four star troop for all the money I have spent. In raids I see people with up to four on their one team. My 5 star generates mana slowly so in some ways it’s like not having one because I can go a whole round without using the special skill. There should not be so many three star heroes in the mix. I can train as many as I like in my training camps. I like that there’s rotating “color” hero at the summon gate. But all I get are three star heroes. I’m not spending money on that. Let use us our money with more certainty of what we are getting otherwise it’s gambling and you’ll lose more paying players. It says a lot that in my alliance I’m the only one still playing. Most haven’t been online in nearly a year. Other games I have paid to play I get what I want with my money. I hope this changes or more players will lose interest.
There is no “endgame”
by SandSprite on 2019/04/04 02:10
Well there is, but when you reach it you still have things you can do. If it gets boring it means your alliance isn’t a committed one (leave and find a new one!) and you haven’t figured out how to make weaker (epic) heroes work as well as the super strong (legendary) ones. Which is possible. Definitely a game for the long term. I downloaded just because an Interactive app looked cool and I’ve been playing for almost a year it seems! tip: the game & team building is far more fun if you DO NOT drop cash. Atleast early on! You’ll be missing out on the early-type of fun of the game if you care about climbing the ranks and storing rare items too quickly. Don’t get fustrated with losses, just have fun! Level up atleast 2 heroes of every color that are 3 star heroes before moving on to 4 star heroes. Repeat the process with 4 star heroes before moving on to ANY 5 star heroes. 5 star heroes are of little to no value for younglings because the amount of resources and items you need to invest in leveling them up exceeds their value. You could have 4, 3 star heroes or 2, 4 star heroes done before your at the 5 star hero’s last level! As you level up, resources come quicker.
BEWARE!!!

To new players who will end up being suckers and spending money on a off chance you might, just mighty be lucky enough to get what you so desperately need for you to win just a bit more..... DON’T!! DON’T FALL FOR THIER TRICKS!!! There’s is nothing I can not stand more than a app like this who tempts poor unsuspecting sheep into slaughter giving up their hard earned money or allowance money for no and I mean NO GAIN! When you see other players with all the “top stuff” it is usually the game developers, betas or a friend of the app makers or they are fools and spent hundreds or sadly thousands $$$ so they will have all the stuff you dream about, that YOU will never be able to have! You’ll spend a small amount an might get a lil better then you will say yes i might be lucky and spend more and then before you know it you’ll be so deep in a hole with absolutely NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT! It’s so disgusting of these type of game developers! They are no different than a casino a scratch off addiction and the drug dealer down the block getting you hooked so you’ll spend more! I’ve worked with people like this that make apps like this and that’s the reason why I don’t anymore! There are better ways to make big bucks on this app but to take millions from poor unsuspecting sheep is gross! Please players spend your money elsewhere or save it or don’t listen to me but don’t say you were never warned!
Addictive & Fun

I kept seeing ads for this game and at first I was annoyed and closed it because I wanted to go back to playing the Blackjack game which showed me this ad. Then it kept popping up and I finally interacted with it and fell into its trap. It’s a well designed game with beautiful graphics and elements of RPG and strategy that I enjoy with humor thrown in. The menu is easy and fun to interact with. It’s a game that requires patience and does not require you to spend real money to advance, although it does help but absolutely not required. I like the challenge of spending as little resource as possible to grow your empire. It’s a fun challenge to figure out what to upgrade and the order that needs to happen. I normally hate seeing ads but this game has cleverly weaved it into its gameplay that makes me look forward to seeing the ads. The only thing I hate about the game is the raids but overall it’s fun and addictive. And there’s a good chance I’ll splurge in the future and spend real money to support this company and developers for creating such an amazing game. It’s been a while since a game has caught and held my attention and makes me want to play it. Well done!
Used to be good
by SamK23 on 2019/04/17 22:26
I’ve been playing this game since nearly its release. I’ve invested time and money into it for countless hours of entertainment. Game had its hiccups at first but the devs were good at updating and fixing them. It has a good social aspect as far as team play, given you find a good and active clan. However, in the past five months or so the game has been going downhill as far as gameplay. The loot system has been updated and now more difficult to win higher tier loot, so sad, and gaining 5* heroes. It’s a color matching puzzle game which you use to attack titans, monsters, as well as other players. On of the strategies in this game is using the color wheel in your favor, called stacking. Before the game felt a little more balanced giving you the colors you need, now it’s quite the opposite. The colors you need are ALWAYS far and few. The devs have indicated that Is not the case, but playing it will prove otherwise. So many people of posted this on the forums, however the devs (lying to their consumers) keep saying it’s not true. Posts have been locked and deleted. Although the game is free you can pay to hasten building, expanding, and pull heroes (random). As much time and money I put into this game I enjoyed it when the devs began seeing dollar signs instead of keeping their customers happy. No longer fun to play. So many other games out there that deserve my time.
Hm. Not so much fun.
by mycastle4acloud on 2018/03/27 07:49
I started this as a fun way to do a match-3 game during my free time. Somehow, it turned into more of a chore than a fun adventure. The part I dislike the most, as some have mentioned, is the match-up during raids. I know the parameters and what they use to determine who you match with, but it still seems like it’s not fair either way and definitely not consistent at all. The amount of resources it takes to get anywhere in the game is a joke, even if you spend money, which is not a guarantee that you’ll get something you actually need/want. It would be different if, like other games, the money you spent got you what you needed all the time. But in this game, it’s a huge gamble and not worth the risk. I’m getting pretty tired of the whole process. It’s not fun anymore. The only good thing I kind of enjoy is the alliance I belong to, which isn’t even a high-ranked one, but it seems to have some fun people so I like that aspect. Now with the wars added, plus raids (which I still hate because there is zero consistency and the matching makes absolutely no sense still), plus the usual gameplay progression, Titans, AND quests/events... it seems like there’s too much going on in one game. Things happen so fast I barely get a chance to participate and that’s disappointing. Plus I feel to get anywhere in this game and to be a competitor, you have to spend money. Not cool.

Customer Support is non existent. Been playing for well over a year. It takes a lot of time to play this game if you aren’t willing to spend money. So what is good, meeting other players and chatting. What’s bad, no trading post (the developers state they can’t provide this even though other games can) , the raids are a joke because the person can come back and get more points than you took, the challenges are fine until you get to the last level and then it’s so hard you can’t complete them unless you want to spend money. Saved all my gems for a ten hero grab, (where you have the chance for 3,4 and 5 star heros) and ALL ten were 3 star heros (statically impossible) not a single 4 or 5 star hero. When you complain to customer support, no help at all! But in the mean time they are upgrading things you don’t want or care about(like WAR which is another joke. I have tons of items I’ve won but it does nothing and is not useable. Oh and now my trading camp is fully loaded up, it takes food and iron for this. Now what can I use these massive levels of food and iron for? You can use some amounts for leveling players up but not this much! The rewards they give you are a joke. Now they have coins to earn but only on challenges (which you can’t complete) or chests (sometimes). Did I mention SUPPORT does NOT CARE, just a money grab.
Addicting
by Purpleneseakin on 2019/04/25 21:03
Definitely your candy crush alternative but with an interesting story to go with it (though the main characters seem to be a little under powered). I want to give this a higher rating but all of the pop ups you get whenever you open the app are ridiculous! It’s like opening a virus ridden website and the fact that the button you press to buy things is right where you’d put your finger to swipe is stupid and begging for cash. The wait times for things are crazy (a week for training and 15 hours for an item?!). The level system for tournaments and even raids can be all over the place (sometimes you’re matched with somebody waaay over powered for you in the tournaments and there is nothing you can do about it). The algorithm system has to be broken. There are way too many times I’ve lost battles because the enemy will be on one side of the screen but nothing will match until it’s too late. Besides all of that it’s fun and forces you to learn strategy. I appreciate all of the characters and how you can level them and their unique skills. Definitely something to fill your time until the really long wait times kick in. Have fun!
Once upon a time
by Robbs Review on 2019/09/24 18:39
Once upon a time this was a fantastic game. But since the December purchase this game has failed miserably. That was when corporate mogul Zynga purchased little giant. I have seen a game where you could find rare heroes and get decent in game drops decline into a game all about the almighty dollar. They say it’s free but unless you pay to play you will never advance. Case in point five star heroes. I have a few teams of them. However I have not picked up a single one since prior to last December. I have a moderately strong team as well (4100 power strong). Since the takeover the in game trophy count I have continues to fall. I cannot in any way shape or form even beat a team at 3500 power be it in war or raid mode. It’s not about my team mix for it is strong. It is about how utterly random the tiles lay out for an individual player. In conclusion unless a new player is willing to spend a lot of money on this game said new player has little to no room to truly ever grow and become powerful. As in most other Zynga platform games, what once was a fun game is now a ridiculous waste of time and energy for a player to have fun in a free game for the greedy corporation has decided it’s all about the money. A one time 5 star rating I have is changed to a 1 star rating. Avoid this game unless you are truly willing to spend heavy.
Great game... BUT...
by Trenthorne on 2020/01/06 15:14
Question for the developers - Will you come out and admit here that in order to progress much beyond medium levels, you must spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to defeat the built in cheats? I mean there’s no shame in that, but I started playing this game because I thought it wouldn’t be that way. Once you reach a certain level (around 2500 team points) all of a sudden, raid matchups are never equal and you spend tens of thousands in food just to get a fair matchup. The gem colors in puzzles start tilting in favor of the opponent (ie you can’t build mana for your more powerful characters in matches) and finding the items you need to ascend your characters becomes nearly impossible - you can’t even buy them outright - you have to buy packs or “chances” at the option to win the items which, of course, never happens. Finally -and while this is fair it’s frustrating - the people who have spent thousands of dollars have all fully ascended, five star teams that are impossible to beat if you’re a lowly pauper like me. So c’mon developers - can you give us the confirmation or give us a hint of how to advance play if you’re going to try and say none of the above is the case?
Awesome
by CyndyML on 2019/02/08 14:17
As far as I’m concerned, this is the best game out there. It’s like they took the fun parts of other games, and put them all in one. Gem matching for the battles, town building for infrastructure, hero cards for strategy... PvE for basic fights, PvP for raids, team PvP for wars. Find the right alliance for yourself, whether you want chatty, intense, casual... it’s all out there. They even have auto play if you want to redo lower levels for rewards, so you can do real life and just tap and have it go! You can definitely play for free. I did for awhile, but my personal philosophy is that if I like a game and play it a lot, then I want to pay the game makers for the product. I do pay for this game (get a feel for the deals, and wait for a sale). But, I get a ton of fun from this, and play it a lot, and I love my alliance which has terrific people in it, so I am getting good value. If you spend money on games, then I suggest setting an annual limit, and looking for deals along the way. Like I said, just personal philosophy; you can play for free with no problem, just advancing slower than those who pay something.
Listen to everyone that is saying it’s a money grabber!
by dxplorah on 2019/02/21 14:57
This game started out being fun, unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews warning not to spend money. I have spent too much money trying to get top tier heroes. I got a few at first, then I noticed I had mysteriously lost about four of them. I got a quick warning that if I didn’t sign in, someone could steal your heroes but I thought they were talking about signing into Game Center. The warning would flash by really quick so I don’t know what I need to sign into. I joined the alliance so that i could play the wars, i think however if you win you should get more lives than just three. The timing is terrible because sometimes you play against alliances that have the opposite time zone so by the time you’re awake and free to play, you end up playing the players that are the top players and you don’t have equal power, you get creamed! Or worse, you never had a chance to play. I won’t be spending anymore money but because I spent an embarrassingly large amount of money already, I will continue to play.
I just ragequit this game.
by Poopkis on 2020/03/15 15:00
I played for over a year and managed to level up an “okay” team of 4* heroes. After a year, I finally got a 5*, but her development stalled out at “level 70” for lack of the proper ascension material. This number is meaningless, though, because to get to “level 70” I actually had to ascend at 40, start back at 1, ascend to 50, start back at 1, ascend at 60, start back at 1, and then make it to the level 70 threshold FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF 220 LEVELS, and there are another 80 levels after that! But what really made me quit was the wholly improbable lack of matches during battles. The enemy can clobber you and gain mana every turn, yet your mana only grows when you make a match. The enemy can target your most important heroes first (looking at you, healers), but you can only play whatever will match, even if it means triggering an enemy special that will kill you. The game breaks its own rules in an effort to make you pay for gems that let you “continue the fight!” And during wars, the enemy gets even more buffs. My entire five-hero team was taken out by a single healer who literally couldn’t die because it received extra heals on top of its own. This game sucked me in for way too long, and in the end it gave me nothing but aggravation. I wanted to like it, but I just don’t need it in my life.
My favorite mobile game ever!!!!
by Sharkbait5 on 2020/03/08 15:16
Please try this game. This game is so good. Makes me not want to play any other mobile games. The tutorial itself seems kind of lack luster but stick it out through that and you are going to have an enjoyable experience. I have been playing this game for two months and I liked it more and more everyday. It does offer pay options but it very balanced. I also think the V.I.P is such a great deal for $5 a month but again you don’t need that to succeed. I also love all of the heroes, excellent art work and very good attention to detail. One of my favorite parts is how much care goes into the design of each hero. The five star heroes really do feel like the best of the best and they have very unique attacks. I recommend joining an alliance, which is really easy to find on just go to the global chat and people are always looking for new recruits. This way you can have some friends who can give you advice, help you out and you will gain additional loot if you participate in the alliance activities which add more reply value to the game.
TL;DR: Get this game!
by sarawithout on 2018/04/06 15:53
I love this game. Are there issues? Of course! But the game is engaging and overall fun to play. You can raid other players for trophies and resources (food and iron, the in-game currencies). You can join alliances and battle titans every day, and with a recent add-on you can now battle other alliances in epic PvP Alliance Wars. The biggest complaint I have seen is that the loot isn’t always great. No, it’s not. But if you got everything you needed to be able to ascend every single hero from titan loot, you would be bored with the game and complain that it’s too easy. The point of the game is to grow slowly at a marathon pace, not finish it in two months at a sprint. Sure, you can buy gems and get those epic heroes quickly, but you still have to play the game to get the materials needed to level those legendary heroes. There’s always going to be someone who has better heroes, stronger teams, and more hams than you. That just gives you something to strive for in the game. In all, it’s a great long-term game with a great community. If you want instant gratification in a game, play Mario Kart.

Great game!!! Huge minuses is getting ancession material it takes a lot of time to get it! And also feeding heroes takes so much food. Last level 5* hero takes 5000 health it’s around 35 heroses in one level. That’s two huge minus of this game the other way it’s fine. In my opinion ancession material should be available to buy anytime in game store. Game is very disappointing because difficulty of maxed out your heroes that’s make players very frustrated. That’s the reason why people leave this game. Generally game is very interesting but small gigant should fix this two things. Feeding one her to max 80 level is taking a month it’s crazy who have nerve for that. Before you start play think about it. Hope so company will fix that problem and for the future process to feeding heroes will be much faster. And also players who spend money on this game should be treated better getting better lot and rewards. And also pull should be better for people who did second pull. Each pull should be better not worst. Thanks and have fun playing game
Terrible design
by Glazed Ham on 2018/12/22 21:21
As others have pointed out, it’s gonna cost an INSANE amount of money to EVEN HAVE A CHANCE to climb the ranks. You can drop $100 on the largest gem bundle and you are not guaranteed to get even one top tier item/hero/etc. The alternative is to spend literally months grinding out the same boring levels to build up resources in the hopes that you can get what you need to progress and upgrade a single hero. No exaggeration, expect 3-5 pop ups every single time you open the app trying to get you to buy stuff. Porn sites have fewer pop ups. I’ve played other games with in app purchases, but this is a whole new level of money sink. To give an example, clash of clans also offers gems for purchase. However, you can get exactly what you want upgraded if you choose to spend money. Here, not only do you get fewer gems per dollar, but this is basically buying pulls on the lever of a slot machine. I don’t even know how that’s legal while I cannot play online poker because that’s “gambling.” Absolutely everything in the game is luck based, skill is not even a factor. You’ll get a lot more for your time and (if you choose) money elsewhere. Unless you have a couple thousand dollars burning a hole in your pocket, or a couple hours a day for the next year or so, avoid this one.
Beware…
by cereal.killer6 on 2018/11/13 15:25
As many others before me have mentioned, this game is all about the money regardless of how it’s disguised. It will seem manageable to start off, but quickly becomes too difficult to progress unless you spend spend spend. The ironic part about it, is that spending guarantees you absolutely nothing! In fact, the more you spend, the more frustrated you will be that you did and got hardly anything, and nothing that you will feel is worth your money. The upper levels are even more difficult and the thing about this is you will need to upgrade your hero’s to even be competitive so you will feel the urge to keep trying for better hero’s but the odds are like .001 that you will receive one. Shameful money grab. You will read that you can play for free, but believe me, you can’t beat anyone or progress for free. This is ridiculous. Don’t fall for it...... I haven’t spent nearly as much as others and it’s apparent. My hero’s are stuck waiting endlessly to be upgraded, I don’t have a 5* hero and I get beat or loose all the time to those you do. This is no puzzle game either. The boards are controlled in some manner and you will lose in the end. Don’t take my word for it, read the reviews or better yet go to the actual community forum.

The age is 12+ but I never checked but I did check the reviews, I read more than five reviews so I downloaded it since people liked it. I am eight years old, second grade I still thought it was amazing, I love playing it for sure!. I like to play this game everyday every time I get back from school I play it because I think it’s amazing in my opinion. Sometimes I forget to play it, but still love it I’m super happy that this game was invented, not gonna lie. I love this game so much for the two times or so thanks for reading hope you could download it if you like it. Oh and let me say you have to match colors that’s the thing so you can beat the bad people it’s pretty easy if you say so, you just have to match the colors to beat them I’ve done so much levels that I love this game already and I downloaded it seven days ago!. Hope you could play sometime for the second time beacause it’s easy in my opinion everybody has an opinion, but here’s all my opinions, Enjoy the game.
Pay LOTS to win
by The Elven Minstril on 2018/10/17 14:34
The game itself is fun at the start. There is a lot to do and it keeps you busy. The cost of the main resource, gems, is reasonable and you can subscribe for benefits. But after a few months you realize that the rate of reward is a borderline scam. I have spent hundreds of gems in an attempt to get the best heroes, or the limited time heroes, and inevitably, you end up with low ranked rewards or duplicates. I have gotten my most powerful hero 4 times. And when there is a special event, you spend extra gems to try to get the new heroes, but get the same duplicates you paid much less for before. And the rare items needed to advance your hero into the highest power levels are so rare that my characters have been capped for months. Of course, you can spend hundreds of gems on “deals” that give you a chance to win them, but in all likelihood will give you a lesser item you already have little use for. I went from believing this was the most cost effective game to realizing it is a total money grubbing scam. Of course, you don’t have to spend money. Just don’t expect to compete or get cool stuff if you don’t. My wife and I realized this after several months of subscribing. Guess we got suckered.
BEST GAME EVER
by the801legend on 2018/09/25 03:39
I previously wrote a bad review on this game, but I had to update it. This game is amazing. I truly must say this is the best, and most rewarding game I’ve ever played. All I can recommend is patience. Yes there are quirks to this game, sometimes the raids aren’t fair, sometimes the summoning isn’t fair, but trust me when I say it will all even out. They’ve really upped there customer service also. If your writing in to ask a question and not asking for your gems or money back, you will be taken care of. Again I must stress that on this game you win some and you lose some. I’ve spent alotta money on this game. And that is 100% by choice. This is NOT a pay to play game. It’s just gonna take longer to get the hero’s you want and level up etc. Give this game a chance and I promise it will reward you, and give you unbelievable satisfaction. GET THIS GAME NOW!!! There isn’t a better one in this genre, period. Thank you to the amazing staff, and for being a game that actually listens to its players. THANK YOU GIANT GAMES!!!!
Blatant money grabber

These developers are master class. It’s fun and addictive...at first. Honestly you won’t be able to put it down. It’s a well thought out rouse to get you hooked and then you’ll eventually reach a point where you can’t advance without paying. I’m not jaded and venting because I’ve spent a bunch of money and now regretting it. I’m actually impressed with how they did this. Listen folks. I have spent hundreds of dollars on this game. And I know what your thinking. But no, I’m not just venting. I don’t mind spending the money. It was entertaining and I had my fun. But really people, there’s no end to it. The money only buys you so much game play ability and then you’ll have to pay more to advance again. I was heart broken to read reviews about people who finally got a 4 star warrior. I have 5 teams all made up of 4 and 5 star warriors and I literally can’t finish the first story. I invite any developers reading this to look at my game profile and tell me And everyone else that I’m lying. If you are a person of means and can afford to spend the money, than feel free to do so. But be warned, spending that money will only get you to the next step. Rest assured, you’ll need to spend more to see what comes next.
Good game but...
by Laurapow76 on 2019/08/03 00:11
I’ve been playing for well over a year. I don’t spend much on the game other than the vip pass which is like $4.99 a month. I get daily gems and 2 daily summons. The daily summons is laughable due to 99.9% of the time I get 2 one star heroes. 3 times in the year I got a three star that I have already. It took almost a year for me to draw my first five star hero. I have 3 now. I drew 2 and one came from my level 20 training camp. I have a pretty strong team now and am excited to keep growing stronger. I am busy and work crazy hours and I usually play daily but, I do have a life and I don’t always have time to log in and do much of anything. That does make it an issue with alliances. I decided to start my own and play by myself because I don’t care for the hardcore players giving me ultimatums. I enjoy playing at my own pace and learning as I go. I have had many enjoyable hours building my teams and my home base. I like that the game is growing. I hope for some new levels soon! I recommend the game if you have patience.
Addicted - However, I’m with the majority
by Mrs. Hott on 2019/01/17 18:40
Love the game; however, the fact that you can only upgrade one building at a time, unless you invest cash (and then it’s only 2 at a time with no time or cost difference), the tremendous amount of resources and time required to advance anything and everything, and then the ridiculously hard challenges that you will never pass if you don’t have special items crafted for (& plenty of them) - it all makes it seem as though the game was designed to get you to spend and keep spending money. Because trust me, just investing a few dollars here and there would not help you in this one. I’ve played games where it would/did; this is not one of those games; this is spend, and continue to spend if you want to continue to advance at a decent pace. If you don’t mind playing the same boards over and over to earn the required supplies, while building up your base and heroes, which I’m fine with, then settle in. Make sure you choose a great alliance like I did, chatting with your family can help pass the time and if it’s a good one, they will give you pointers. Sorry mine is all full :) Good luck
A few problems
by rhryrc on 2018/07/01 15:48
1.) first of all and probably the biggest is not being able to destroy or delete your buildings for the fortress 1 misclick and that spot is taken forever 2.) I’m pretty sure y’all do this in purpose, but the thing is, is that the multiplayer system is pretty bad. I’ll be a level 7(which I am at the moment i think) and when other to fight other people I’ll only find people who have troops who are all super high level with the troops being at least 3 star(note most of my troops are 2 star and the highest level I have on one is 13 not even ascended, so yeah I don’t know what y’all are doing, but fix it, and the next thing isn’t really a problem a fact, this game is a bit to much pay to win(by a bit I mean a lot) it you had enough money you could have a max level fortress with max level hero’s and troops within a hour or day, but what’s good is that this isn’t a game that sets a limiter of how far you can go without money(I don’t spend money) but this is a four star on a gameplay standpoint
Sure, I’ll leave a review.
by Three Octaves on 2018/08/26 16:08
This Atlantis thing you’ve got going on, brilliant. You made sure that you can get 97 of those coins so that you’d have to beat at least 1 level on hard to get a character. Cool. Except for the moth on the last wave of the FIRST level. He’s OP. And unless I’ve already spent a bunch of money getting other characters there’s no way on Earth I’m beating this fella. I spent 175 gems to keep fighting, thinking that maybe it would be enough. It wasn’t. He can take out an entire crew. Just 5 turns. Unfortunately he had about 25% health. Which meant he could wreck twice in a row and still have 20% health. It’s a nice mix between “very clever way of getting people to spend money” and “good lord I have to delete this because I’m not adding it to my list of bills”. Thanks for the short ride. My dreams of having at least one character that wasn’t run-of-the-mill have been shattered and I’d rather just play sudoku now anyways. Sustainability is key. But by all means, swipe as much money from the people who can afford it and just start a new game once this one’s done. - Average person
Played since the beginning.
by Preakness1765 on 2018/10/28 03:44
I have been playing since the second month of this games release. I can say that it is fun, but absolutely ridiculous how low your chances are at getting five star heroes and even worse your chances are to get the items needed to ascend your heroes to the final levels. This game becomes boring, waiting day after day, month after month, for one good item to appear. You can pay $100 for a 30 hero summons and you get only 3* heroes, which you can get for free at the higher level training camps. These developers know how to milk their players. I constantly have full iron and food, and nothing to spend it on. What’s the point in having it if I never get the items I need to use my iron and food? Seriously, it’s addictive at first but after almost two solid years of playing, I’ve finally decided to write my review. I’m seasoned, so I know how this game works in and out. I will still play, but I think you should know what you’re in for. Don’t expect anything to happen fast, don’t expect anything for free, and be resourceful with your spending.
Read the reviews but ignore the stars.
by pmn759 on 2019/01/08 05:53
This is not a good game for someone with a game addiction like myself. lol I’ve been playing Castle Siege & like building type games. If you’re a f2p (free to play) player, understand it will take time to progress as you juggle spending resources (esp hams) on leveling up, training, & making battle items. The puzzle part has become more fun after I realized you don’t have to rush to make your moves (except for the Titans). The monsters will wait for you to take your turn (or maybe even two) before they strike. Also, ghosting helps (i.e., shooting into a blank area) because you can build up your mana to use your hero’s special power. So, there is some strategy involved. Alliance membership allows you to chat we teammates which is nice. I haven’t been in an alliance v alliance war yet so can’t comment about how the AI selects your opponents. We’ll see how long I keep playing. If I could only train myself to play a few minutes every couple of hours I could keep up with my real work. lol.
Great game
by Glmpoo on 2018/10/13 01:34
In response to mycastle4acloud, this person doesn't get it. In order for game developers to make money and continue to make great games they cannot just let people have everything for free. This game is FREE to download and play. Do you not get all the best hero's? Do you actually have to be patient and work at something to get what you want? Might you have to shell out a little dough if you want better? Yes. This is how these guys/gals make money in this industry. And hey do games have some bugs, absolutely. Boo hoo that the matchmaking isn't exactly how you want it. Aside from all that, this game is wonderful. I was being bugged by the ads for this game for quite some time. Finally said screw it im gonna check this game out. As far as puzzle rpgs go this is by far the best one out there. You can easily play this game and not spend any money. I like the challenge events, titan battles, wars, and story. All of it. Very excited to see whats in store for the future of this game.
It is what is but can be fun at s risk
by C from the bay area on 2019/02/09 10:17
Let’s face it, the reviews you see about people complaining about all the money spent are 100% true!!! You can play this game without spending tons of money but it might get tedious and boring. You can also drop loads of cash and still hit s brick wall because you don’t have rare items to level your heroes with. The money complaint is ridiculous because most of the interactive games cost money to play now. Yes, we’re all fools for paying so much to play the same games o we and over. I’ve been playing this game for almost 300 days now and I like it. It isn’t as stressful as games like GOW where it’s all about spending. As I stated earlier, you can play with small amounts spent or none at all but it might bore you. Join an alliance and play twice a day and you will level up but not as fast as some who spend. The big complaint is that you can’t trade items in your alliance to other, you can’t trade or buy needed items (which I understand the buying part because that can make the game turn into a pay to play), but at least you should be able to trade the awarded items for ones you need. I have 20 worm capes and need 1 hidden dagger. I’ll give up 10 of those capes for this item but I can’t. That is fair so players can grow. You also can’t do some of the basic chat groups or copy and paste as in other games. Overall, fun game that takes time but it won’t cost you an arm and a leg unless you want to spend it.
This game is rigged
by okdokiegamer on 2018/12/04 02:26
So i’ve been paying attention for a long time now, this game encourage people to buy and spend more money unnecessary, they will match you with weak people but then “randomly” place your element jewels that other team is strong against, even if you reroll and pick the weaker ones, you still lose since you will end up building mana for weaker team to wipe out one by one. The stronger elements barely appear. Most people are competitive, and think their teams are weak but the truth is the game makes you lose against AI so you can buy more. Have you ever seen that randomly you can win much stronger team by oooh combo with matching jewels everywhere, and then boom lost 50 points where you find no jewels to match at all and keep building their mana the entire match. This is only happens in raid and not war. There is a time you can see damage increase or decrease, even your mana gain becomes faster if the game wants you to win, if not the other team just again “randomly” target your main character (when points win are around 40ish). This is not random, this is pre coded to make you become competitive and spend more. This has been my observation and experiences so far.
Money wasted
by Khaleesi1! on 2019/05/23 10:38
I give this a 1 star because I don’t understand how I can spend so much money just for you to keep summoning Ganju and Firar Tuck. That’s ridiculous. If I spend money I deserve better players but no matter how many gems I buy I don’t get good summons. So I won’t spend my money on gems for summons. I’ll just use it for world energy since this game doesn’t use a fair algorithm for players. And I’ve been playin for over a year so it’s really not fair I’m spending and getting stuck with wack people over and over and over. I left the game for a few months because of this and I’m debating doing this again. I’ve never spent so much money just got the game to screw me and continuously show me its a waste. I get it’s random but you have to see that I’m spending money to get the same people. I wanted a good Holy a month ago summoned Ganju 4 times in a row. Come on. And right after spending $10 on gems. My friend on the other hand summons Thorne and great characters and he spends less and has been playing less time. But it’s screw me right? And today I summon for a good yellow, after spending, and what do I get? Ganju! One star for being a game that doesn’t make me spending money here worth it.
PvP system is frustrating
by JH116 on 2017/11/28 00:33
The game overall is decent. I like the building and collecting resources and progressing through the campaign world. The system is set up so you have team power that should be a gauge to how easy or hard fighting another player will be or certain quests should be in relation to your team. This is where it falls short and is terrible and frustrating. In PvP you can see what your opponents team power is in relation to yours and combat should be based on that. It isn’t!!. The developers decided to make team power irrelevant. When combating another player who should be relatively easy because their power is significantly lower then yours still somehow destroys you. Even the team you have for some reason doesn’t increase in their special abilities like I. The campaign by your opponent seems to always get their special abilities. It’s incredibly frustrating and it’s like the developers just made it this way to make you want to buy things in game to get stronger part members. So even if you have a higher team power you can still be totally annihilated by a much weaker player. It’s ridiculous. I deleted the game!! Don’t bother with this game.
No good loot after a certain point
by Silky112 on 2019/03/22 14:02
I been playing this game for a while now. I thought it was the coolest game ever when I first started. A puzzle game combined with an RPG fighting game is brilliant. How now that I reached a certain level in the game I am really stuck at this level because I can’t Ascend my hero’s to the next level so I may keep upgrading them due to lack of resources. The same says these resources can be found by doing certain events however I had participated in many of those events for months now and all I get is the same loot drops. I understand the developers don’t want to be an easy game however it shouldn’t be completely impossible as well. Oh and like many other views on here I found the game offers a small fraction of the resources required as a bundle with other items you can get easily for a hefty price of real world cash. So maybe that’s their angle. I would give this game 4 or 5 stars once they correct the lack of resources drop in the game, or just make an happy hour weekly or daily that you have a guarantee chance of getting the resources need to upgrade hero and troops.
Awesome Game
by Karatekid218 on 2019/10/01 16:17
I have been playing this game for almost a year and a half. In that timespan, this game has continued to evolve - Raid tournaments, season 2 (Atlantis),more quests and heroes, more stronghold levels and corresponding buildings. The game constantly keeps you entertained. It can be difficult and requires trial and error with the composition of your team. However, anyone that says you NEED to pay to win is mistaken. Changing the combinations of your teams makes all the difference. This will help you defeat stronger titans, do better in raid tournaments and wars, and advance through the story mode faster. These events is directly responsible for your ability to collect ascension items. Ascension items are not common and can be challenging - but that’s how it should be. If it was easy to get items needed the game would get quite boring. It’s not and I don’t intend on stopping any time soon, especially with teasers about a season 3 coming soon!
Empires & Puzzles
by Baulder001 on 2018/08/31 19:51
Do not get this game. It’s horribly unbalanced and sneakily deceptive in its game play. At first, it starts out fun and enjoyable. Then you hit a wall. A wall placed there so you have to try and spend money to get further along. The problem? The gambling system is terribly awful and works against you. The chance to get decent heroes is abysmally small and in order to upgrade them to the fullest, you’ll need to wait for drops from Titan creatures. You can only engage these creatures if you are in a guild. On top of that, you’ll need to wait and pray that your guild-mates attack it/ kill it. The item drops are still subjective to a crap gambling system. So you’ll not lucky get the items needed to upgrade your deck. Also, the Raid system is horrid. This is the process in which you attack other players decks. The Raid teams don’t follow the same mechanics as your team does. The AI attacks you at will after so many turns. Attacking them builds their mana bar and they will obliterate you with special attacks. You only build mana by completing combos. Which is the only way to win, so facing a team much weaker than yours can still mean defeat if your rolling bad luck.
The best
by iam4au2 on 2018/01/31 23:08
I adore this game. It is so addictive I keep it open almost constantly. Of course I think the alliance I belong to is the best. Shout out United. You will not be disappointed. It's free to play and it's not pushy about shoving ads in your face about gems constantly. Also there aren't ads for anyone else either. You can choose to watch one ad a day for some free items if you choose. Developers actually listen to the players about new updates. I can't say enough positive things about the game. I've read the negative review and it's my opinion they don't understand the gameplay and haven't taken the time to research or read the guide. PvP is not just about players power you also have to take into consideration abilities and ascention of other players. The game has an easy searchable forum if you are ever confused about gameplay as well as a you tube channel. It's super easy but also has depth if you want to dig in.

Fun

Pay to Win

by just let me send this on 2020/05/23 01:55
I’ve been playing everyday for just over a year and it has been harder and harder to get items for my hero’s without spending tons of cash. You throw so many events out here and barely give anything even if you spends tons of cash. Too much greed. I enjoy the game and will continue to play but you are NOT getting another dime out of me.
Too much BS

This game gets a thumbs down from me
Too much $

Recently developer’s decided to nerf two of the number one cards. These cards take lots of resources (months of play for materials). For compensation we get a few tokens. I want those materials back, so I can level cards that are better choices (now).

Bye!

You get nothing in return, so save your money and time and stay away from this and all games from this company.

by Rdendi1 on 2020/05/18 13:51
The puzzle aspect of the game is fun. Good game but lacking balance in some aspects and obviously working against the player in others.

by JessBFire on 2020/05/17 21:00
Unfortunately this game suffers from the same issues a lot of other successful games before it have, introducing new content without alienating your existing player base. This game has introduced some new characters, mainly Telluria, that make the game completely unplayable except to the 1% of players who spent big $$$ to get the character. Game creators now are in a pickle, as they are losing their casual player revenue base, and can’t fix the issue without alienating the much smaller base of pay to play folks.

by AquaCaveman on 2020/05/17 01:18

by yolo but spend forever on 2020/05/17 00:53
I love the game play, but to get a truly strong, competitive team you need to wait for years to get the heroes and materials you need, or you need to spend a ton of money for a chance at getting there faster.

This trend seems to continue and will be the death of this game.

by disappointedgam3r on 2020/05/14 23:12
This game is really good.

The devs are robbing the community, after you spend (and you have to spend to keep up) they will come behind and nerf what you achieved. Small Giant hates their customers!!!
Addictive

Great game

BEWARE!!!
by Kilo-g13 on 2018/06/19 09:22
To new players who will end up being suckers and spending money on a off chance you might, just mighty be lucky enough to get what you so desperately need for you to win just a bit more.....

Addicting

BUT...

Awesome

Blatant money grabber
by Gammer579 on 2018/11/17 08:15
These developers are master class.

The best
