Quit Working
by monty_cristo on 2020/04/07 17:07
Had it connected from my iPhone to my TX NR676 since about last summer. Used it last week...no issues. Now all of a sudden nothing. Can’t connect even if I select by IP address. Checked settings on receiver...all normal. Just going to delete app from phone and if I think about it check in the future for reviews and hope it gets fixed.
Worst remote app I have used
by cooter1983 on 2020/04/05 22:02
First off I have to say the first 2 months I loved this receiver TNR686 because I wanted the remote app experience for multi zone capability. So I bought a second of the same receiver for my upstairs media and bar area. All worked great. Had 100% wireless signal to both receivers and had no issue with controlling zones or anything else. Now 6 months later no app control ability at all. The faq just recommends power cycling. Seems a lot of people have the same issue. I love putting 1000 bucks down on some equipment that won’t even function correctly and not even a year old. I thought onkyo was a good product. Thank you for allowing me to wast money.
Doesn’t work
by thebmrust on 2020/04/05 00:01
The app stopped working around Jan/Feb. the update did not good. Reset everything except for the receiver back to factory. Too many custom settings to deal w that.
Poor connection
by Celout on 2020/03/31 22:55
The connection to the receiver keeps getting dropped. Every other day I am needing to reset the receiver and my router which clearly takes away from the experience. I have read the same on multiple other reviews. Too bad the issue has not been fixed.
Better
by glowseattle on 2020/03/30 02:12
I’m starting to see more support for the app. Finally. Raised my stars to 3. If they keep it up and improve app maybe five stars is in their future.

Thank you for the update- now works on iPad 12.9 inch. Thank you
Working great
by Ga craigues on 2020/03/23 13:19
Got this to work with my onkyo receiver and it’s fantastic. Helps that the receiver has “NET” as an input, so I can manage the selections via wifi and don’t have to be Bluetooth-close to the receiver.
It’s as others have said
by RealHQ on 2020/03/16 22:24
Worked great for a while, almost a year actually until this week. Airplay still works but can’t connect to it via app for remote functions, either via searching or via static IP. Returned app to default, rebooted everything, nothing works.
It doesn’t seem to support 24 bit audio
by dherkugv on 2020/03/10 22:44
The Onkyo controller app doesn’t seem to support 24 audio? When 24 bit audio is playing it shows 16 bit audio in the screen. Please someone fix this problem.
Works for iPhone not iPad Pro
by colton.dp1 on 2020/03/06 17:59
Love the app a lot. Always used my phone for it but it doesn’t seem to work for my iPad Pro. If you fix it I’ll give it 5 stars! Otherwise amazing app. iPad Pro 2019 on IOS 13.
Works fine for me...
by Dawg Walker on 2020/03/04 01:10
I'm lovin' my Onkyo receiver and this app works just fine with it. Sure, there are a couple things that I would like to see changed, but that's just me... Hence 4 stars. As is, this does what its tended to do.
Couldn’t recognize an Onkyo receiver...

So what’s the point?
Remote App Barely Works
by COF1923 on 2020/02/22 16:47
The app worked for about 3 weeks. Then it wouldn’t connect to the receiver, now I have no control with the app. I have to use a remote that is not iR and my receiver is in a closet tucked away in another room. Very very disappointed with this app and the whole system.
You forgot voiceover support
by Disappointed so far on 2020/02/13 23:35
Is there anyway possible that you guys could start labeling your buttons so visually impaired people can use this app I eat. Adjusting tone and bass and speaker levels that would make this an excellent app. Also after ios 13 and latest app update voiceover doesnt read anything at all!! Without this app my rz830 is hard to adjust do you guys care about this app at all??
Won’t connect
by JDC596 on 2020/02/09 01:31
App no longer connects to the receiver. I even set it to a static IP and can connect to its web page with my iPhone but the app cannot find the receiver even when specifying the ip.
App stopped functioning
by geohiker64 on 2020/01/18 17:14
App was working great on my iPhone. Suddenly in early January it stopped connecting to my NR686. Won’t turn it on or show functions. No firmware updates come on Onkyo. I love the receiver but the app doesn’t seem reliable.
Won’t consistently connect to TX-RZ30 Receiver
by bbrash12 on 2020/01/05 23:53
I have to reboot my cable modem/router for the App to see the receiver 1/2 of the time. It works great whenever it works. I have the latest firmware and network standby on. The receiver doesn’t drop WiFi. I have zero problem with any other WiFi devices. I have bought 2 receivers for a planned 3 zones each in my house and the purpose was to use the app to integrate it all with the app. Thinking about going with another brand. Don’t want to have to reboot modems just to listen to music..Onkyo can do better. I hope that they don’t abandon their customers by ignoring this issue.
Complex... with a learning curve.
by Boris Yeltsin FBS on 2019/12/30 01:31
With 26 speakers in multiple areas, this remote controls them all. I can be in my office, and mute the whole building from my chair. What’s not to love?
Used to work but not anymore.....
by sad333678 on 2019/12/27 15:13
Disappointed in this app as it keeps stalling and freezing on input selection page. It did work for a while but is now unreliable. Is this a version 13 issue? Onkyo look at the feedback - you need to make a better app. Your products are top rate but apps not so much.
App stopped working on iPad Pro 2018 on iOS 13
by WillBx718 on 2019/12/26 22:29
This app has become completely useless on my iPad Pro 2018. Whenever I open the app it just freezes and becomes unresponsive. App used to work without issue, then all of a sudden it stopped working. I’d give the app zero stars if I could. I just can’t figure it for the life of me why a simple re,one control app can’t work properly in 2019.
App no longer functions with iPad OS 13.
by decreddave on 2019/12/24 23:28
The app used to function, but ever since iOS/iPad OS 13 rolled out, it no longer works. I’m using with an Onkyo TX-NR676 and the app will see the device, but trying to control it from the app doesn’t work.

Still works on iPhone but freezes on iPad. FRUSTRATING
Where is the Amazon Music streaming option
by Actionplaya on 2019/12/16 21:12
It has been widely publicized that this app would have Amazon Music as an option included in “Net” (just like Pandora, Deezer, Tidal, etc), but to my surprise when I downloaded it, it has no such option, which is frustrating since, according to a press release by Onkyo, this was the only way to stream music from that service on some of their receivers that don’t have it built in as an option. Come on, Onkyo! Don’t deceive your customers. Shape up!
Stopped Working
by incoherentDream on 2019/12/05 13:40
The only thing I used this for was to adjust the volume on my Onkyo receiver. It always worked fine until, out of no where, it didn’t work at all anymore. No update happened to the app but suddenly it just freezes and I can’t click on anything. It still works on my iPhone 11 but not my iPad Pro. Disappointing.
Fix fix fix!!!!

This app used to work. Please fix... can’t find WiFi.. :/
not all inputs are available
by dave_wf on 2019/11/28 03:48
as an example the Game input on the 686 receiver is not represented on the app. you have to use the remote control to switch to and from the Game input.
Used to work great
by PaulUDM on 2019/11/24 02:14
After upgrading to iOS 13.1.3 tha App can’t find the receiver on the same network, despite the fact that I can connect to receiver web interface with no problems... Please fix it , Thanks.
Where is the volume control?
by Datbates on 2019/11/22 15:45
Uh, the most important reason for this app and I can’t find it. Just lay out the app like the remote. How hard can this be? People know how to use a remote. Why make the app rocket science? It should have quick access to the functions of the remote and a menu that matches the settings on the unit. Some developer has forgotten the first rules of user interface design. What does the user want, not what looks snazzy. Edited: finally found out you have to be on the selected input to have the volume control show up. At least I know how to make it work for me, but everything I said above still stands. I gave you back one additional star because the app can (eventually) do what you want.
Does not work at all
by Matty Van on 2019/11/20 00:32
iPad Pro Latest IOS. App will open, and then freezes every time before anything else is touched. If I would have known this would have bought the Mrantz.
Terrible connection issues
by Annnnnnnnnooooooooyyyying on 2019/11/15 17:52
If I’m lucky to have the app work, music will randomly stop playing. There are times that I can’t use the app at all. It won’t connect to my device. This is the worst technology I’ve seen for 2019. Please fix😤
Frustrating
by Shall0723 on 2019/11/08 22:58
I have 2 Onkyo receivers, one upstairs and one downstairs. The one downstairs plays music outside with zone 2 set up. What I can’t understand is the app Never connects to the downstairs like it use to in the past.... and it’s band new. Either I’m having to do a master reset on the receiver OR I’m having to uninstall the app. Either way, I can’t understand why Onkyo can’t get this fixed and have more users download their app to use their product? Maybe Onkyo doesn’t care about apps theses days and mind you all of my devices are all up to date on the latest versions. Definitely a unhappy customer that in this day and age your products and apps can’t connect with each other. That’s why I’m giving you 1 star.
Messed up my Spotify
by gypsopilla on 2019/11/07 02:11
Early in the year I bought a wi-fi enabled Onkyo receiver. One of the best features is that it recognizes Spotify when I have it open on my iPad. The Receiver can play Spotify through my router instead of having to be within Bluetooth range. A couple months ago I made the mistake of downloading this app to control the receiver. It worked fine for a few weeks and I liked being able to control several zones independently through the app. Somehow, I must have chosen some other option than Spotify and after that it kept showing up as Airplay. Could not get it back to normal so I deleted the App but the receiver would no longer recognize Spotify. It took two months and hours of tech support from Onkyo, and eventually resetting the receiver to get it back to normal.
App has always worked until this update
by onkyo rz maddsd on 2019/11/07 01:07
I’ve never had problems with the app until this update. Now can’t find WiFi sometimes and when it does Spotify won’t play on my speakers through the receiver. Needs to be fixed. A big reason for using this app. I want to play music in my home like I always have and it’s no longer worker. Must be fixed
Gets the job done
by King Eider on 2019/11/06 22:06
Works pretty well. I can change volume, change inputs (see below), and control playback. Strange behavior: Deezer and Tidal can be controlled via this app as stated. But I cannot enter into these services via the app. Instead I must use the infrared control equivalent remote functionality and navigate via the menu displayed on a TV. After this has been done, this app can control them just like other streaming services.
Lost Control
by JXB40 on 2019/10/03 19:09

GET RID OF DEMO MODE
by RCP67 on 2019/08/16 21:23
Very klugey...though it is better than the schlock remote app that Denon puts out. The big annoyance is the Default to Demo Mode. DEFINITELY NEED OPTION TO PERMANENTLY REMOVE DEMO MODE FROM THE APP. It is ridiculous that it defaults to Demo mode and you have to turn it off EVERY TIME. No one needs a demo mode at all...why is this the default? GET RID OF IT!!!!
Works but...
by DFauci on 2019/08/13 00:15
Slow. Clunky. When I power one one zone, all zones power on to that input regardless of if the other zones are in use or not. Then I have to wait for the app to allow me to back out and turn off the other zones that came on despite me only selecting an input for ONE zone. Denon app is much smoother.
Terrible
by Bratton316 on 2019/08/02 22:24
Sad when I have spent good $ for a quality receiver with a app that comes from the dollar tree. I wouldn’t have purchased the receiver if I knew the app sucked this bad. YOU DESERVE 0 STARS!
Airplay stopped working
by sobyx1 on 2019/08/02 16:12
For some reason Airplay no longer works. When it did it worked great.
Poor network support
by julsssark on 2019/07/21 15:37
You cannot connect to your receiver if your receiver is on a different subnet from your phone. The app will let you enter the IP address but it will never connect.
Go back to Remote 3
by Share47 on 2019/06/29 02:04
Previous remote app was easier to use. Can’t you just update that app? Also would be nice to control old and new receivers from the same app!!!
Searching...Searching...Searching...
by JerseyBob54 on 2019/06/11 15:09
This app worked really good for about 9 mo starting mid 2018. When I used it, it always found my TX-RZ620 within a few seconds. Starting a few months ago, it now only finds the receiver about 5% of the time. I even have my router set up to give the receiver the same IP address each time, and I search using that specific address using this app, and it still will not find out. Onkyo’s response is to power cycle the receiver and then power cycle the router. Seriously? What’s the point of having a remote app if you have to walk around the house pulling power cords in and out? I’m really tired of watching the spinning wheel and seeing “Searching” whenever I use this app. The RZ-620 is my second Onkyo receiver. I have found both to be good to very good A/V receivers but with dismal performance when it comes to networking. C’mon Onkyo, you can do so much better!!!
Slow, slow, slow
by Jpkyhfdiohgh on 2019/06/09 22:51
So much slower and cumbersome than the Yamaha app for my other receiver. You have to wait 2-5 seconds every time you try to do something. Way too many clicks/swipes to do anything and then throw the lag on top of that. I pull my hair out trying to control three different zones. Bad app.
Does everything I need
by Bgalakazam on 2019/06/09 15:39
I cannot ask more from an AVR app. This is light years ahead of the Denon app. I have a TX-RZ830. Can play music, adjust equalizer on the go and get content info easily. Highly recommend the app.
What happened.
by JRHolmen on 2019/05/30 00:51
I generally understand how to set up av equipment. I finally allowed an update to my app to 1.11.1 and somehow my 757 audio system always wants to start up in DEMO mode? None of my previous configurations were retained?. Pass through which I had set up to Cbl/Sat don’t pass through when the system is in standby. I’m sure I’ll figure it out after I crack open a manual, but I never expected the app to change any settings I’d had before.. Did I do something? Maybe, but whatever happened, occurred after I’d updated. I’m not pleased.
Works, but glitchy
by AirCon2006 on 2019/05/10 14:48
Syncs well with the receiver. Good for controlling different zones and sound levels. However it is very temperamental. If I have an album or playlist playing and try to switch songs it will typically glitch with an error message; requiring to force close the app to resolve the issue. Hopefully the support team will work on updating the app to make it less glitchy. I have the TX-RZ820 receiver. App running through the iPhone X with latest iOS.
Great remote control easy to learn
by Riggsalicious on 2019/04/27 20:07
Seems the problem might be inadequate user competency. I love the ease and versatility of this controller. I can easily run my sonos or other streams through my patio speakers while playing something completely different in the living room surround system. Love the receiver, too. I only THOUGHT my 25 year old Technics receiver was great until I heard this through my Klipsch speakers. Thanks Omkyo - keep on truckin!.

by Dankoneon81 on 2019/03/17 15:18
Works as well as the real remote. Has all the same functions and I easier to find than my remote most days
Simplify this please
by bryanmn on 2019/03/03 05:09
All I wanted to do was raise the volume from across the room. Took minutes to find it in the app. I realized how lazy I was by the time I found it. Why should I bother with the app if it takes me this long to use anything in it?

They have fixed a big bug
by helloiammacintosh on 2019/02/08 00:26
Finally. They have the network connectivity right. The old app had huge latency with a 5 second delay before the receiver responded. The new app performs substantially better. They touched up the interface and made it slightly more refined. The Menu has been reorganized. Please add the MODE button the e-remote controller. I dislike finding my remote to make the mini player active.
Love Onkyo
by DustangGT on 2019/02/07 12:19

Very hard to use
by Hio😊 on 2019/02/07 05:46
This app is the way we control our sound system in our house. It never seems to work right and can only play off one phone although we have 6 different zones. Definitely needs improvement
Volume is 3 awkward clicks away
by storyagency.co on 2019/01/27 13:56
The app is sluggish most of the time and the volume control is three clicks away. Why in the world we can’t get a “mixer” screen I don’t know. The main reason I want to use the app is to turn the volume up while I’m sitting on my porch or in the kitchen. This app makes it annoying to do so.
UI for “Listening modes” poor
by Sid_S on 2019/01/20 22:56
Good things + connects quickly to receiver + shows audio/video signal info + functionally complete Bad things - Listening modes (DSP modes) UX is poor. You have to tap a button to cycle thru each one (muting sound momentarily) to get to your final one. On a smartphone they could just present all options so you could just puck it directly (like Yamaha’s app)
Great

by Nice piano on 2018/12/30 14:20
I have used this app a lot. It’s nice for when the kids loose the remote. Lately I can’t get my Apple Music to sync to the stereo from my phone . Not sure what the problem is. I had no problems with Spotify. But Apple Music won’t play through my stereo at all. Any help suggestions would be appreciated.
This needs work for basic functionality
by BBBBBB73 on 2018/12/23 15:31
Please help make this useful - I have a 3 zone system. I like being able to control them independently which this does (although it’s extremely cumbersome). But it’s missing (as far as I can tell) a way to EASILY play the same thing in all zones at once and a master volume. You have to activate each zone independently and when you do it stops streaming in some cases. Not a seamless experience. The receiver has everything I want, please just actually put the time into developing this app so I can use this piece of equipment to it’s full potential! Soon please.

by wyldstang on 2018/12/02 23:16
I found this in the ‘Open Box’ section of Best Buy and it was mislabeled for $211. It had been opened but never used. I brought it home and replaced my 8 year old Denon. While the Denon had better audio controls. This one has more power and input/output options. It was easy to set up. Just follow the instructions. So far so good!!!

Could have a better interface and needs a widget
by Aptivapeople on 2018/09/30 16:24
This controller needs to remember its a remote first and foremost. That means have the volume slider available at all times. It means it needs. Widget that does the same. Why is volume separate from listening mode etc? That should always be the first thing you see AND then another screen for source selection if you want to switch.

by Tanners big daddy on 2018/08/03 01:15
Will not stay connected. Constantly having to toggle WiFi on and off to get it to recognize receiver. When it plays it sounds awesome but that is very rare. It will play maybe two to three songs before it quits playing saying it can’t locate receiver. Signal is at 93-100%. Also has error codes a lot

Please add a single screen with volume controls for each zone. Thanks!
Great app for the Onkyo 2017 model

Make sure your Onkyo and phone/tablet are in the same network. Works great.
So cool
by Stick snipa on 2018/05/28 03:33
It took me about a day to get used to the controls - it is not perfectly intuitive but it really works slick. I have two Onkyo receivers. Upstairs has two zones (inside and outside) and downstairs has one but with 7 speakers and a sub. The controller picked them all up with no intentional set-up by me, and I can control them all from my iPhone easily. My wife runs android on a Samsung tablet and can also run everything. We love it - can change between media in any room remotely, and adjust volume based on where we are and what we are doing. Was going to do Sonos connect in both rooms and I'm glad I didn't. I am not a tech or audio guy and got this to work - that's saying something!

This App works great. I can control everything on my amp from it. It has a small learning curve, but when you learn it, it’s fine. I assume the bad ratings are outdated. It seems fixed to me.
Does Not Work!!!

This app is terrible!! Will not pick up my TX-NR777 tried the remote 3 app and it tells me I need to use this garbage app that won’t connect even if I set static ip!! I have also called their support and that was useless. They told me to reset my router while the receiver was off for 30 seconds! What a joke!! Stop making crappy apps that don’t work and focus on one that does!!
Works pretty good, once you figure it out!
by Ibkoran on 2018/05/09 21:41
Every app has learning curve, but once you figure it out, the question is, does it actually do want you want to control the device. Happily this app works pretty good. With one exception, you can control just about every important parameter on each zone, including tone and some speaker tweaking. The one exception is the inability to activate the sleep timer. That’s unfortunate, since Onkyo buries the sleep timer deep in the main menu and you need to have the TV on to use it! Otherwise, it’s a pretty good app, certainly worth downloading and using.

WORST! So much easier to just walk to the receiver.

Let’s think for a moment about what you want to do with a remote app and a receiver with two zones. Change the volume quickly and easily comes to mind. So bad. Just so bad. Why do I need to click so many times? First I have to figure out which of the indecipherable little icons takes me to the place where I can choose the zone. Then I have to select a zone, and then click to get out to the place where see what is playing, then, FINALLY, I can change the volume. God forbid if I then need to turn down the other zone. Seriously, how odd would be to just have one screen with the volume controls for both zones or, a master volume control? I would give this app negative stars but that doesn’t seem to be an option.

I already have a universal remote that does what I need and for basic functions I use Alexa... but when it came to listening to my music library — which is on a usb hard drive — it took way too long to get to where I needed. This app eliminated any and all difficulty. The app recognized my receiver immediately, and within a few button presses I’m listening to the song I want. What used to take 3-4 minutes (sometimes longer as I have around 1000 different artists on my HD, some are full discographies) now takes about 30 seconds.
Ugh!!!

HORRIBLE UPDATE
by Gontrwr on 2018/02/23 00:16
Onkyo recently did an app update. App used to work great. Now it is absolutely horrible. Drops connection with the receiver constantly. Great Job Onkyo. I know how to work the app just fine. My entire home is fully automated so an app is pretty easy to me. (Oh Look at that. While writing this it crashed again). Maybe it’s just a horrible interface with Pandora. That’s usually where my issues derive from. Onkyo You can make this a little more customizable too. I’m sick of the same 4 images when the receiver goes I to screen saver mode.
Not a good app.

Finally! A true Universal remote (at least one that works with most of my devices)
by Freqtrav17 on 2018/02/05 18:36
This remote control is pretty cool. It is neatly organized in an intuitive user interface. I have connected to my devices: Onkyo TX RZ 3100 Sony UBX 800 Amazon fire 4K Xbox one Samsung Smart TV The control interacts with ALL of them pretty seamlessly and with a very very limited number of functions needing the OEM remote. I had one connectivity issue once but I was able to pinpoint the culprit: LOCAL network traffic. If your kids are streaming videos on their devices, your wife is listening to music and you are the one watching a movie and using this control or all of a sudden there is live feed video request from your cameras, chances are your network will sweat bullets to manage all that traffic. Every network is different and home networks are known to have bottlenecks these days so...take a look at your network configuration and traffic and that may be all you need. The control itself should work pretty seamlessly.

Recently added the Onkyo NCP-302 to my Onkyo setup at home. Please, can you please fix these issues...surprisingly other customers are experiencing them per reviews; 1. Bluetooth: Issue with lip syncing. Whenever I connect any Bluetooth, the sound is off, Onkyo NCP-303 sound lags behind the video. 2. FlareConnect: I was able to connect it and play sound, but, sound volume is significantly reduced/limited. Also, I realized that you can’t “FireConnect” TV sound through FlareConnect “. Very strange! Waiting to hear from you soon. Thanks!
Works for what I need
by S.kwat on 2017/12/09 12:50
Several reviewers either based their comments off an older version or couldn’t figure out how to use it. As soon as I got on the same network as my receiver (NR656) I saw it and connected. I was able to enable and disable each zone independently, set the input, and control volume to each. That’s really all I want to do so haven’t explored further. They did try to make the interface modern and it complicated things a bit, I would have preferred simple and clean, but that’s the norm these days... all the functions I need are there and work.

What’s the Fuss About?
by MrRobBB on 2018/10/04 21:00
Not sure if the negative reviews are from older versions of this app, but what I got is intuitive and snappy. Volume, input, equalizer, power, all are right there and work great. Swipe to control Zone 2. Not sure what people are doing wrong but this app is great.

The only thing I used this for was to adjust the volume on my Onkyo receiver. It always worked fine until, out of no where, it didn’t work at all anymore.

Slow. Clunky. When I power one one zone, all zones power on to that input regardless of if the other zones are in use or not. Then I have to wait for the app to allow me to back out and turn off the other zones that came on despite me only selecting an input for ONE zone. Denon app is much smoother.

Poor connection
by Celout on 2020/03/31 22:55
The connection to the receiver keeps getting dropped. Every other day I am needing to reset the receiver and my router which clearly takes away from the experience. I have read the same on multiple other reviews. Too bad the issue has not been fixed.

by sad333678 on 2019/12/27 15:13
Disappointed in this app as it keeps stalling and freezing on input selection page. It did work for a while but is now unreliable. Is this a version 13 issue? Onkyo look at the feedback - you need to make a better app. Your products are top rate but apps not so much.
Bad app.

Simplify this please
by bryanmn on 2019/03/03 05:09
All I wanted to do was raise the volume from across the room. Took minutes to find it in the app. I realized how lazy I was by the time I found it. Why should I bother with the app if it takes me this long to use anything in it?
Very hard to use
by Hio😊 on 2019/02/07 05:46
This app is the way we control our sound system in our house. It never seems to work right and can only play off one phone although we have 6 different zones. Definitely needs improvement

by dave_wf on 2019/11/28 03:48

The app worked for about 3 weeks. Then it wouldn’t connect to the receiver, now I have no control with the app. I have to use a remote that is not iR and my receiver is in a closet tucked away in another room. Very very disappointed with this app and the whole system.
Needs one more fix !

I love this app ! So fun to easily experiment, but I would love to see the speaker arrangement as I toggle through the listening modes.

Better

I’m starting to see more support for the app. Finally. Raised my stars to 3. If they keep it up and improve app maybe five stars is in their future.

Disappointing.

by dave_wf on 2019/11/28 03:48
as an example the Game input on the 686 receiver is not represented on the app. you have to use the remote control to switch to and from the Game input.

Thanks Omkyo - keep on truckin!.

by bryanmn on 2019/03/03 05:09
All I wanted to do was raise the volume from across the room.

I dislike finding my remote to make the mini player active.

by Hio😊 on 2019/02/07 05:46
This app is the way we control our sound system in our house.

I found this in the ‘Open Box’ section of Best Buy and it was mislabeled for $211. It had been opened but never used. I brought it home and replaced my 8 year old Denon.

Stop making crappy apps that don’t work and focus on one that does!!

by Ibkoran on 2018/05/09 21:41
Every app has learning curve, but once you figure it out, the question is, does it actually do want you want to control the device.

Bluetooth & FlareConnect

Thanks!

I just can’t figure it for the life of me why a simple re,one control app can’t work properly in 2019.

by DFauci on 2019/08/13 00:15
Slow. Clunky. When I power one one zone, all zones power on to that input regardless of if the other zones are in use or not. Then I have to wait for the app to allow me to back out and turn off the other zones that came on despite me only selecting an input for ONE zone. Denon app is much smoother.

Bad app.

The app worked for about 3 weeks. Then it wouldn’t connect to the receiver, now I have no control with the app. I have to use a remote that is not iR and my receiver is in a closet tucked away in another room. Very very disappointed with this app and the whole system.
