Good but one problem
by EmRy mom on 2021/05/05 19:58
I like the game but I hate that during the events it doesn’t just time when you’re actually playing. If you put your phone down for an hour, it counts all that time even though you’re not playing. It’s super frustrating.

But the last update broke the music, and the ambient theme sounds.
No sound
by justmetheT on 2021/05/04 02:35
Today, the sound of the game went mute. I thought it was a phone issue, I did all of the trouble shooting in the settings, to no avail. I deleted the app and reloaded it, and it wiped away all of my stats, still no sound. I don’t even know the silly user name that it gave me so YEARS of stats are gone. In addition to that, it doesn’t look the same. Dang! So, on to the next Solitaire game app. It was good while it lasted.
No Music After Update iOS 14.5.1
by Ol_Vinyl on 2021/05/03 17:42
Title says it all. No endgame music after update: iOS 14.5.1 It's weird listening to card sound FX but no music. Uninstalled & reinstalled. Still no music. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.
Great Solitaire game except for the elapsed time bug
by RobH13 on 2021/05/02 20:06
The recent iOS update is nice except for the elapsed time bug for events. If you start an event and play a few challenges, and then accidentally leave the game running at the challenges menu, and the phone locks / sleeps for a period of time, all the idle time gets added to your next game’s elapsed solve time. Nothing like solving a game in seconds to be charged with several hours. Disappointing.
Better and better. Not
by 71925 on 2021/05/02 20:00
This is progress in the life of “free app”. Latest enhancement: Now the forced ads are 30 seconds long, longer than ever before! Yippee!
Ads are annoying and interfere
by richpjones on 2021/05/02 11:04
Used ti be good but they added too many adds and now im deleting it, there are much better versions that have fewer ads. Microsoft makes a ton of money they can lose some ad revenue and be fine, corporate pigs.

by Twaji on 2021/04/30 22:38
Not worth downloading. Save yourself the aggravation.
Great game
by TheRhinoKing on 2021/04/30 16:06
Pop-ups are manageable and love the fact that it is cloud backup so you can carry the game over to other devices. So why only 3 ⭐️’s because to remove the ads and get premium access it’s $10 annually; just a bit too expensive.
Ads are a deal killer
by About to abandon Microsoft on 2021/04/29 18:54
Too bad. I love the games, which should be a sure bet for this app getting 5 stars. But the ads ruin it. I was almost fine with the ads before. I understand it’s part of the deal for a free version. But constantly (or so it seemed) rerunning the same LONG ad for a crappie game you’d never buy & can’t skip after a few seconds brought me close to the edge. Then they started giving you the option to skip ads you weren’t interested in and that pulled me back. But now, with their latest ads, they’ve pushed me over the edge. Now ads play UNMUTED as a default. How obnoxious to have an ad start blaring out for everyone around you to hear. Couple that with making the mute button on the screen hard to see/find and you get the point that they have no respect for users. ADVERTISERS! Please note you are making more people PO’d than you could possibly be winning over. You should boycott this, too. Microsoft, you can really do better.

Log-in Location
by BDLLDB on 2021/04/26 14:53
In a recent update, the log-in icon was moved to right above where you tap to deal cards. It’s very close and I inadvertently tap the log-in icon frequently. The log-in icon should be moved. I can’t get the app to log me in either.

What happened?
by Kmart Security on 2021/04/25 16:25
Game used to be good. I’d win pretty regularly on Spider. Always played random. Hit level 95 and now I lose almost every time. Also, if I play random on the other games I get less points than if I play easy! Games used to be fun.
Cheater Board
by Terryatrae on 2021/04/25 05:18
Just checked the Leader/Cheater board. 10 games in 7 minutes. Come on, kind of obvious who bought the Auto-Fixo program. Did you know that the fastest times are submitted by people who complete the challenges in the time it takes for my challenge boards to load? Automated play? Pay to win? You decide.

Not bad but the ads...
by not a fan of those ads... on 2021/04/25 01:17
The gameplay is awesome. Not many solitaire games that meet this level. The only complaint I have is there are some ads from very questionable sponsors. I know I could pay for the ad free version but I don’t mind ads as long as they aren’t even remotely pornographic in nature and aren’t redundant. Those Egyptian themed casino ads are just boooooerrrrrrrinnnnggg.

the thrill is gone
by bhamgrace on 2021/04/23 02:47
With the new update, I’m no longer able to play in the horizontal view. This results in blind spots under thumbs because the cards line up differently. I figured it’d be an easy fix under settings, but I was wrong. No longer fun to play. But I guess there are always better things to do with my time, but it was an easy way to decompress. In the iconic words of BB King, the thrill is gone ...
One small (kind of adorable) bug.
by aintnosin on 2021/04/21 19:19
If you finish a game, then press New Game on the score screen, the new game does not show the score at the top. You have to start a game from the home screen to see your score.

Ads and the timer
by all-in-the-cards on 2021/04/21 13:21
Sure there are ads but many only last a few minutes and don’t use a lot of time. My problems are really with the timers. First, I’ve lost connection to the Microsoft game server on several occasions. It happens HOWEVER, when it does, the time that is counted towards your game play and used to calculate your rank, still accrues. This means that while you aren’t even connected to Microsoft, you are accumulating lots of extra time. In my case that has been over 10 hours on a couple occasions. In fact, it’s happening as I write this review because I can’t connect to the server. Second, there is no way on this blue marble that anyone can complete a set of 16 games in under 8 minutes. Those users have to be using a cheat which I’ve duplicated. I refuse to do it. That should be looked into. In other words, the games are ok and I like the tournaments but they are crooked as anything I’ve ever seen.
Ad-free mode not working
by Robsirty on 2021/04/21 00:18
I try to pay the $1.99 to avoid seeing ads but the process for payments is messed up:: I click on the pay button and it goes away without processing the payment. The rest of the game software seems to be working fine though. Thanks
New version is all about the ads
by tonymus on 2021/04/19 03:14
New version extended ads from 5 seconds to 30 seconds. In addition, iPhone annual license of game doesn’t extend to Microsoft devices, meaning you need two licenses if you own an iPad and Surface device.
Great Game, New Update is Fugly
by dv8/w/n8 on 2021/04/18 14:52
I love to play Solitaire while relaxing in the AM. There’s a design adage that suggests a beautiful object has increased perceived value. A recent update, replaced a serviceable, minimalist UI with gaudy oversized, under-resolution (pixelated) cartoony icons which diminishes that perceived value. If I had paid for the ad-free version, I would feel cheated, like someone took my new SUV to the dealer for service and it came back looking like a 90’s Geo Metro and insisted it was better now.

Best Solitaire Experience
by NYmission on 2021/04/16 19:11
This is the authentic Windows classic but vamped up a little with fun daily challenges. The ads are extremely non intrusive (unlike most mobile game ads now) I almost never notice they are even there. You don’t have to interaction with them at all. Added bonus is you can sign into Xbox Live and unlock achievements and gain Gamerscore. Very pleased with this app.
Updates = more ads
by SuperMar69 on 2021/04/15 21:40
Used to be fun and is well made but unfortunately with almost daily updates, it’s very difficult to win. I used to be able to win about 6/10 games on Master difficulty but now that has dropped to about 1 win for every 10 games with additional ads in between several games. No longer fun for me. It was fun while it lasted.

Very Good, but Not Perfect
by ColeB117 on 2021/04/12 11:04
It’s solitaire! It has a lot of different ways to play, extremely satisfying animations and customization options, and leaderboards. It lacks detailed statistics. It has statistics, but I don’t think they’re enough. I want to see my statistics divided up based on BOTH difficulty and type of game. I’m not interested in my best time for solving an easy deck. But I can almost guarantee that is what the game is showing me, because it clumps all of the statistics together based on game without regard for which difficulty you chose. That means my win statistics may be skewed if I play too many easy or grandmaster decks, and my best time is only representative of my performance on an easy deck (probably). It should be divided up based on type of deck and game.
Love it, but hate the connection issues
by Gruff'n'Stuff on 2021/04/12 09:19
The game itself is great; I enjoy all five variations of solitaire it offers and for the most part they are well done as far as their gameplay mechanics. And I love playing the events-- but therein lies my problems. When you finish a hand, sometimes the game won't proceed as it should; it shows a spinning icon because it's apparently having trouble connecting to the service, yet my Wi-Fi connection is up and the signal is strong. If you select cancel so you can proceed to the next hand in the event, you don't get credit for the hand you just completed and must repeat it. Or, if you start a hand but then cancel out of it before finishing it because you have to go do something else, then come back later and start the hand all over again, the game doesn't merely add your previous time plus your new time, it actually counts all of the time from when you first began the hand to when you finished, even if you weren't playing the hand during most of that time and actually had the app closed down. As a result, the game might say that it took you, say, 8 hours or more to complete that hand, such as if you didn't go back into the game until after a night's sleep. That hurts your standing in the event's leaderboard, which pretty much kills your enthusiasm for participating in the events. When something like that happens to me, it rubs me the wrong way so much that I basically avoid playing the game for days or weeks.
Unlike every other app...
by mistercommuter on 2021/04/11 19:03
If you pay for the upgrade, it’s only good on the device you’ve upgraded on. Feh! Otherwise, a pretty good game.
Overall good, but...
by Mylee_LC on 2021/04/10 04:23
I enjoy playing the various modes of solitaire. However, when playing the events, it can get stuck after finishing a challenge that impacts time to complete the event. My wifi signal is great and everything is working, but it gets stuck. It can get frustrating.
These ads and the price
by donald duck girl on 2021/04/08 19:10
UPDATE! Nothing has changed with this app. I will play this game for free on my laptop. We will not buy another app and why Apple hasn’t taken action concerning the ripoff that’s taking place here, oh forgot Apple is part of the ripoff. When an App is placed here, Apple gets a share of that money. You buy an App, and after approximately six months the App is no longer good. We have several that we bought and guess what they are no longer good anymore, you can’t even use them, like our Wake Up Disney Alarm Clock which had Donald Duck waking you up, doesn’t work anymore. Games we have bought doesn’t work anymore. We will no longer buy any apps unless they give us a grantees that app will work forever unless we the buyer doesn’t want that app anymore. All this is nothing but a game where we the consumers are being taken advantage of, enough is enough, game over. As of today, Aug 28, 2020 no answer from you. There’s another problem. My old IPad stop charging, I had already backed up everything. My new IPad all my game levels was transferred to the new IPad except you’re. My old IPad I was on level 87, my new IPad was at level 1. I don’t use Xbox at all and I’ve tried to contact you, and got message I had to sign in to Xbox live, no thank you. Everyone doesn’t always fall for a company being greedy. Went on my IPad to play some card games while at my doctor office, I got this message that I could not play, no internet, What? At first could not figure out why, my other card games I can play with no internet. Then it hit me, these ads they have on here and the price they want is crazy. We are not buying anymore apps. There one card game we bought to remove ads spite card game, I'm still dealing with ads and we paid for it, before we can get to next level we still have to watch an ad, for a game we paid for. I've also notice these crazy prices like this game where you can pay every year no way. Also we have paid for App, then four months, six months down the road, guess what, no more updates and when Apple update there system that app doesn’t work anymore, we are tried of being rip off. Apple needs to do something to quite letting these apps rip people off, oh forgot Apple don’t care because they get money when these apps are placed in the App Store.
Definitely not buying the Premium version
by Dragonreaper2 on 2021/04/08 18:11
Overall the game is great but for some reason it loses connection for the events and you have to close the app and relaunch it. If you don’t relaunch it for a while all the time is added to your last game and you have to play that game over so even more time
Enjoying
by sharin50 on 2021/04/08 03:25

What’s up with the themes?!?!?!
by Kat682 on 2021/04/06 12:50
I like the set up and the amount of options in the app. But EVERY SINGLE TIME I open the app to play (like even 5 minutes later) I need to REDOWNLOAD the themes!!! It takes two seconds, but what the heck? When I look at reviews it looks like this issue goes back years, so why has it not been fixed?
Enjoyable, but... no ‘TRY AGAIN’ in solitaire?
by klk12134674321 on 2021/04/04 11:41
We REALLY need the ability to restart a normal game without having to hit the ‘undo’ button a gazillion times. That is absolutely ridiculous! And a reason I keep thinking of deleting this. I mean, c’mon. This is 2021 and you guys are Microsoft — get it done.
Ads should be seen, NOT heard
by MST3KSJ on 2021/04/04 00:42

Timer glitched
by mmmaggimmmae on 2021/04/03 05:56
Need to fix timer in events. Timer doesn’t stop at game finish, constantly adds time while system is acknowledging that it has an issue. A problem that never occurs when I’m doing daily challenges or just playing. Why when the amount of time is crucial for ranking won’t the timer stop. Sometimes I even have to close the app and replay the level while the timer is still running, usually after watching an ad. Today I didn’t even start the level because I needed to get off game for a bit & when I finished next level at least 30 minutes was added to my time. Please fix this as it ruins my enjoyment of the events which is my favorite part of your app. TIMER SHOULD STOP WHEN THE CHALLENGE IS ACHIEVED!
Go Premium
by Bob7555 on 2021/03/30 15:50
Good app but to many and to long ads. Premium is most enjoyable. Would be a great app IF in the options you could select “Play all 5” or “Play only Three your choice” 😷
The game could be better
by kimchiajumma on 2021/03/30 05:44
If you didn't play so many commercials. When I logon it goes straight to a commercial. Before you can even play one game! More recently, the game keeps shutting down. Today, it shut down on me 9 times. Tonight, 5 times in a row. I always keep my tablets charged, and only have a couple of games on it. So it is not my tablet.
Not working properly
by trin2faith on 2021/03/29 19:34
The app gets stuck.. I get to an end of a board and it tells me no more moves when I have plenty more moves and the game is won. I can’t move on in any of the star boards because they won’t let me!! I have removed the app and the-installed it but nothing seems to work. Until this I would have rated higher but since I can’t play part of the game I am giving a bad rating. It started in one, then I tried to play another game and it did it in that one and then again in the next. I see no new updates for the software to fix this either. It also is not just on one phone but on 3 different phones it has happened to me. So not the phone
Not setup to always be a winner :(
by SabTell'nit on 2021/03/28 21:44
On hard and expert challenges, regardless of how I try, how many different times for one game ... I just can’t win.... makes me discouraged after spending 10 minutes and get down to the last few moves and nothing can be done to win. I will put it down for a week or 2 bc of inability to win all. Other than that the easy & medium fair well.

Games loose their enjoyment when you have to sit through 30 second commercials over and over again, then it doesn’t allow you to close out the add to get back to the game. Very frustrating. If I didn’t click on the add offer the first twenty times it was shown, why do they think I am interested after that? I understand the need for adds but why not restrict them to 10 seconds. I don’t need to sit through a 30 second commercial to make up my mind. Please fix.

Frustrating
by rudabag on 2021/03/26 19:44
This app seems to all of sudden “no” service. It only happens when I’m doing the event where time matters. I have to cancel the game, turn off my phone. Restart phone and guess what all of sudden I have service. I called the app customer service they said for additional money they could make sure it doesn’t happen. NO thank you. I like the game but there are days YOU just get tired of it. Today again was one of them. If you can live with never ever winning the events, then it’s okay App.

Great game buggy adds
by Nakedinthedark33 on 2021/03/25 18:05
I love the grouping of games & happy with the graphics. I'm running ios9, which it says is compatible, every other day or two I'll get an add that won't close & I can't continue. Sometimes I'll get lucky & after 4-5 tries of restarting the app & sometimes my phone the add will finally go away. Other times I've had to reinstall it. I wish I didn't like the grouping so much, because it's really more frustration than it's worth.

by Dutchman@2001 on 2021/03/24 17:31

Sick, demented games in ads
by lyle roberts on 2021/03/24 14:18
I’m tired of seeing the twisted, sick games that come up in the ads. Hurting children and animals, drowning people, putting masks on children as punishment. Destroying property. Where do these come from... communist China? I’m done, Microsoft. Shame on you.

Microsoft should be ashamed
by Constant Camper on 2021/03/20 11:46
The ads are hideous, loud, are not muted when the game has been set on mute: thereby waking children or making noise in quiet situations. The ads have camouflaged “dismiss” icons. Microsoft should be ashamed.

Error with 25th Anniversary Star Challenge
by lvalj on 2021/03/15 18:09
The Spider challenge in the final tournament has an odd error in which it doesn’t recognize similar suits accurately. The issue makes the challenge almost impossible to solve despite having solved it! Would recommend an easy to find designation for errors to be reported. Couldn’t find one easily. I have a screenshot of the error.

I keep losing my data. I’m back to level one on all styles and lost an entire month of challenges! This happened last month too!!!! Drives me absolutely mad!
Fun while it lasted.

Update: Yes, I did. Just resubmitted again. Update: 3/5/21 Still cannot sign in; newer ads (Zulilly, Burke's) don't close and freeze game-- have to exit game and they still block access to play when attempting to try to play again.Still have had no developer response here or from November query. Cannot sign into Xbox app on iPad which is required to save game now. Just doesn't work as designed. January 1 : Enjoyed playing the daily challenges for about a year, but accidentally signed myself out today.Even after updating the game on my iPad, cannot get signed in due an apparent requirement to update Xbox--a device I never use and is unrelated to playing this game on iPad 4. But that is what the help link says the problem is for error code 1170000. If it's an Xbox app that is needed, Xbox for iPad requires a 12.x operating system: my iPad has the last OS compatible, 10.3. Game description says game is supposed to work on 8.0 OS, but clearly does not anymore. Didn't need an Xbox app installed to play for the past year--don't understand why it's required now. Support request is overly complicated--I give up. I reset my password and updated my game. That should be enough to sign in and play. No one is reachable to ask, so I guess I am done. Update- submitted a support request Nov 26. I have followed up that ticket weekly since then, but still haven't heard a thing.
I’m paying for premium.
by FullOfGrayce on 2021/03/12 08:09
Solitaire is my favorite game to play which is why I purchased the premium plan, but somehow, I’m still getting adds. This is very disappointing.
No App Support
by ∙°•*º♪*♫•.♥Spaced♥.•♫*♪º*•°∙ on 2021/03/11 17:12
There is no in-game app support. You get redirected to a website with an FAQ list but no way to actually contact anyone. There are time-based tournaments with a series of challenges. Unfortunately, once completed, many of the challenges fail to load and register your time accurately. There’s no way and no one to address this. So, even though you finished a challenge in 30 seconds, the game will keep failing to load the completion screen with stats while keeping the clock running, turning that 30 seconds into 3+ minutes.
Intrusive ads
by Jonspo on 2021/03/10 17:45
There aren’t too many ads but when they do occur they’re hard to close out of and some make you interact. I’d pay $5 once to get rid of them but I won’t pay for a subscription.

Great Games!!! Too many distractions!!!
by Chuck Welch on 2021/03/08 00:21
The whole point of SOLITAIRE is to close out the world and concentrate on the game of YOUR CHOICE in front of you. I play 7 different games, including these 5, regularly. If I become bored I switch games. If I want something new, I know how to search the internet. Please allow us the option of avoiding daily updates that change the way we access the games of our choice. THE GAME REMAINS THE SAME unless THE PLAYERS decide to play the cards differently!!!
Obtrusive loud ads and regular freezes
by Oldtechie1 on 2021/03/06 14:57
The title says it all. There is nothing worse than a loud ad even when you think sound is off and the silence button seems insensitive - worse, some ads run 30 sec with no way to stop. The app also freezes with a “loading” messsge that can only be fixed by a restart of the phone. Shouldn’t be allowed in App Store until fixed.

Classic Windows 3.1 Solitaire Winning Animation!
by Isolte on 2021/03/02 10:07
So happy that Microsoft made this for iOS. More than worth it for the winning bouncy card trails and other winner animations. The free version ads are very polite and totally unobtrusive between games compared to many other apps that let the ads take over your whole screen for a specific amount of time. This is THE best free solitaire app to get on iOS. Hands down.
Please make this change

Looooooong video ads
by BusyD01 on 2021/03/01 00:48
When I first started playing these game, there were NO ads. Yet, the developers survived. As of late, there are looooooong video ads that often freeze and you cannot get out of unless you close the game. Fun games, but because of the loooooong ads, you lost two stars. Debating whether to just delete it all together. Well your Project Makeover advertisement, which is DISGUSTING was the last straw. Choose wisely! Bye!

by rabbit1029 on 2021/02/26 03:58
It keeps losing progress around level nine. The "log in" function doesn't actually save anything. but it's solitaire, so I guess the progress doesn't really give anything? This is the seventh time the app crashed and lost progress. I keep trying to see if what level 10 does, but the app never made it that though.
Ridiculous Ads
by JohnSachs40 on 2021/02/25 18:52
I’m not a fan of writing this review. I very much enjoyed this app, but not as much as I hated the ads. The option to close the ad after waiting the allotted time will just start a new ad. Don’t you guys get enough revenue from the info farming? Anyway that’s why I’m deleting this app right now. I wouldn’t recommend this experience to anyone. Don’t be like me, have the sense to just not download this in the first place.
Great game
by brian481516 on 2018/01/07 08:04
I play Klondike solitaire frequently, over 2,200 times. I play it different the most people. I like to use easy settings and just try to beat my time. My best time is 1:06. 3 things I’d really like to see in a future version: 1) I really wish the bar at the bottom at least had an option to always stay visible. A lot of times I’m reaching for a button on the bottom and accidentally close it. That can be annoying when I’m trying to play as fast as I can. 2) it would be a really interesting feature if you could re-play a deck at then end of the game... or even save a deck so it can be played again at a later date (possibly multiple times). 3) it would be fun to be able to see more stats, average game time, etc. ideally it would be awesome to see a graph with game time on the y axis and date played on the x axis (plots points would be red or green for win or loss). Then I could see how I’m doing over time.
Great gameplay, buggy infrastructure
by Janunson on 2020/07/11 17:12
This is the best gameplay, most attractive and satisfying graphics and interaction of any solitaire game out there by far. That’s why I keep playing it. I just wish the Microsoft underneath didn’t cause so much suckage. The game is obsessed with your internet connection, even though it really shouldn’t need it to play a card game!! It takes forever uploading and downloading... nothing, before you can play it, and after each game, and if your connection has changed, like from WiFi to cell, or to a different WiFi, it doesn’t cache the data and try on the new connection - no, it freaks out and won’t save your score and won’t let you continue playing. It also downloads some unnamed “new content’ constantly, then forgets it the next time you open the app, and downloads it again! And the themes- apparently what it’s supposed to have downloaded (you get to dismiss two messages every time it tries!!) are still screwed up every time you play, and when you fix them (which usually only lasts 1 session) it wants to download then yet again! Wow. So after writing all this down it’s clear I need to play a less visually slick solitaire game that isn’t so annoying. Again, the gameplay is the best, but the annoying bugs ruin it.
Favorite Solitaire App
by Jayline87 on 2021/02/03 04:37
I’ve tried multiple solitaire apps and this one is the best. I love the 5 different types of solitaire so that you have some variety. My favorite part of the app is the daily challenges they have (5 per day) and there are other challenges like the daily events. There’s a good range in difficulty so you can be challenged (expert/master) or just play for fun (easy). They’ve definitely figured out how to get people hooked on their app with all their challenges, badges and awards! My only problem with the app is that there is often a glitch in the daily events. You are timed on how long it takes you to complete all events and ranked based on your time. However sometimes the game times out and you have to do the puzzle over and sometimes it will count time you are not playing (for example, I did half the challenges, came back and it added the 5 1/2 hours break to my time). It’s not the biggest deal but if you’re being ranked based on your time it would be nice if the time was accurate. It would also be nice to be able to pause while you’re playing.
Solitaire time out
by JoeinAK on 2020/12/29 17:11
Love playing solitaire only problem I have is with the timed games. I can’t tell you how many times that the service can’t connect after I finish a game. It’ll take an extra minute or two and this extra time becomes part of your total time. Example you finish a game in say 2 minutes and it takes 2 minutes to finally connect so your total time is 4 minutes so this is totally not fair. Apparently Microsoft’s developers haven’t figured out how to eliminated this extra time due to there servers being overwhelmed by users. Sometimes after waiting for more than 5 minutes I quit out of the game and become frustrated so then give up playing for a while and go about my day. I then return later in the day and when I finish the game I had quit out of discover that even though I haven’t been using the app my total time ends up being the 2 or 3 hours I was doing other things. I even had it be over 8 hours for a game. I’m using an IPad an obvious competitor to the Microsoft surface tablet, funny bet those connect all the time. Otherwise I give them a 5 star review. I’m imagining that their developers will never read this but oh well.
Game memory
by ralexie2 on 2020/09/15 15:20
I love this application with the exception that when finishing a challenge, if you are disconnected from internet, the only way you can get back to the game is by closing the application and starting the challenge once again. You will be in a loop hole if playing the same game you finished but the sad story is that the challenge is timed and the clock does not stop till you finally get your score and can move on to the next challenge. Even after you close the application, the clock continues. Developers should develop a memory bank where the application can acknowledge it disconnected, save your progress and stop the clock. This is critical because every challenge is timed! It is weird that you never find out when it disconnects till you finish the challenge and are waiting for the score to appear so you can move on. Other than this, this application is the best I have ever played. Wish someone could look into making a patch to fix this. I don’t know if it just happens to me because I am using an iPad or it happens to any one on any other platform.
I love this game and the daily challenge, but...
by Amanda Jo 1984 on 2021/01/14 22:47
Never fails, almost every other day (some times several days in a row), I finish a challenge in the daily event and I don’t know if it’s because of the ads constantly trying to load and/or refresh or if there’s a server issue, but the connection somehow gets lost. I sit and wait while the thing twirls but nothing happens even though I am on wifi and have full bars. So, I wait, then get annoyed, close out app and come back. Then I have to repeat level again. Okay, fine.. whatever. But to make matters worse, when I finally complete it the second time, I am given a grand total time of the first round plus the second and the timeframe it sat there twirling all because of your software issues... messes up my time on the daily event and it’s frustrating! I want to get a good time to hopefully be in the top 10 but it is a rarity since your app isn’t functioning properly. Please fix this! I am not sure if it’s the ads messing it up or what but if so, I shouldn’t have to pay for no ads to get your app to work as it should. Smh...
Review of Microsoft Solitaire
by broadleafrock on 2019/09/30 08:18
Microsoft Solitaire is very addictive but also very fun. I have been playing it for about three years. I try to find ways to solve the puzzles quicker so I can consistently be in the top 25. I believe some people must have two accounts so they can practice each puzzle on a trash account and score big on the second account. I like to improve my times but I wish there was a way to see how I compare with the group for each of the five games and even by difficulty level. Overall the games are great and I enjoy the challenges almost every day. I know you have to make some money along the way but the long commercials are boring to watch after the 20th or 30th time! Thanks for making the games so fun though.
Latest version ruined game
by Hannahbrian on 2018/09/21 12:13
I rarely review apps and up until the latest version released near the end of September 2018 I would have rated this 5 stars. But the latest version introduced ads in the middle of gameplay. I thought to myself “I play this game a lot, I’d be willing to pay $5 to get rid of ads.” I clicked the “premium” button in game and saw it was $10. Ouch - that’s a lot to pay for a solitaire game - but I do play it a lot so maybe it is worth it? But then I saw it was $10 ANNUALLY!!!!!! You want me to pay and keep paying EVERY YEAR for a game of solitaire? With all due respect: what are you smoking? Actually do not tell me what you are smoking because getting me to smoke the same stuff is the only way you will ever get me to pay for a subscription for a game of solitaire. You took a great thing and ruined it with greed. I hope for the sake of the players that your greed ruins this game and you fade into an occasional memory. I’m sure there are other solitaire games out there - time to start looking for one that is not greedy. Even if they charge a one-time fee I’ll gladly pay it over your greedy subscription.
Tournament Timekeeping
by Annavon on 2020/07/03 03:44
I wish there was a way to track the play time correctly. Sometimes during a tournament, I have to stop playing. When I return and replay the game, it counts the time that I was out of the app against my total time. For example, I played a game for 2 minutes, but I get a phone call and EXIT the game and the app completely, I come back 2 hours later and replay the game finish in 2 minutes and 40 seconds. My total time should be 4:40, but it shows as 2:04:40. Today, I was playing during my lunch break. I went back to work and went home and took a nap. I finished the last game of the tournament in around 4 minutes. My total time should have been around 35 minutes. However, it showed more than 7 hours!!! It should only show the time actually playing, not time when we are not in the game at all. One more thing, it would be nice if there was a “pause “ button, so if you are interrupted, you can pause the game.
Excellent Game, Could Use a Few Tweaks
by 3WAgirl on 2019/04/06 16:10
I play this game almost every day. I love it, I love the daily challenges, and I love Spider most of all. Some things I would change: 1) When an impasse is reached in Spider, there’s no way to restart the game. In fact, there’s no way to restart any game in regular play. You can only start a new deck. What’s even weirder is that the warning sign says “quitting or restarting this game will count in your statistics” when you do it, so I feel like I’m missing a key option. 2) I have no option of playing a solvable deck if I choose Pyramid in regular mode. It’s always random, and that’s an option I’d like to change if I feel like it, just like all the other Solitaire games. 3) This is picky, but I liked the previous version of the “select game” window when beginning a new deck in regular play. The list is more straightforward, but somehow less classy-looking to me.
Classic Game with Flawed Mechanics
by fluffybunniesx on 2020/08/05 07:30
I love solitaire, and I’ve played this game on different platforms. I recently started playing it again and doing the events, but sometimes the connection to the server drops and I’m forced to cancel sending my completed challenge, and start over. The time that I’ve already logged on that challenge somehow gets saved but not my completion status? And to top it off even if you cancel sending the score, it counts all the time in between when you cancelled to when you try and complete it again. My latest challenge marked me down as taking 9 hours to complete when even the app hasn’t been open that long. I find the challenges to be some of the more interesting features this app has to offer so I’m disappointed that some of these flaws are here. Should be simple enough to locally store a variable that says the challenge was completed so that when there is server connectivity, the game can send the score.
So I LOVED this game then ADS ruined it
by USMCgirls on 2018/10/27 07:38
So this game WAS amazing. With minimum ads either at the bottom of the screen or a short AD... Now the ads are more frequent and one lasted a minute. This last time was the last straw. I was trying to do one of the daily challenges and when I clicked it an Ad popped up. When the X came up I clicked and got a warning saying I won’t receive my award if I end it early I continued and it went back to the daily challenge menu. So I clicked the challenge again and it played another ad, this time I let it complete and when it ended I clicked the X and it came up with the error. So I chose the option to let it keep going. It just stayed on the “download now” screen not changing so finally I quit the ad and it went back to the challenge menu ad. I am sick of games over doing ads. I get they need ads for money but overdoing it is another thing. Sacrificing user experience for money, loses you both users and eventually money.
Greed has ruined this game.
by CaptRonSolo on 2019/03/04 20:21
I, like many others here, don’t ever write reviews, but this latest update from Microsoft is the epitome of corporate greed. It was a free game, so as much as I loathed the addition of ads I somewhat understood. I put up with it for a bit, but then they just got too annoying, and so I thought “I really do enjoy playing this game from time to time, so I’ll just buy the premium version for whatever they want”. Come to find out, I can’t BUY it. I can only rent it for an annual fee. For solitaire. It is a card game that has been around for as long as cards have been around, and they want me to pay every year?!?! They have lost their minds!!!!! It is a digital deck of cards. The greed represented with this move is abhorrent. I’m done.
Consistently good, but...
by TeacherDRP on 2020/11/20 22:31
I have been playing for several years, and the developers seem to be trying to add new twists and make the game better. Bully for them. The free versions has ads which one should expect, but they seem to have upped the frequency and duration. As to the adds, I would love to have a relevance button since I am seventy-five and not likely to be Zynn (or Tik Tok) performer. That would, or should include an ad profile option to tailor ads to specific audiences, instead of using some algorithm. One other option I would love to see on the daily challenges (which I do, you guessed it, daily) is to have a “play through” button to allow one to finish the game even after having reached the required winning level.
Amazing but...
by Lagrima de Cristal on 2020/05/26 20:23
I am fascinated by this game, some challenges are really complicated, and I love that they make you think, the only but, is that although you have an excellent internet in your house, sometimes a half game Solitaire server, suffers from some interruption, this You can see it when after a game, it does not save that it is finished, and if you do not close it or practically disconnect, add all that disconnection time to the registry of your game, so if you finished a new one in 30 seconds, and you leave it like this Waiting for it to reconnect, it will appear that you were there all that time, that it can be 3, 5 or 12 hours, or until you resume it, and add it to your registration, that's why you lose positions.
Microsoft missed the boat with the opportunity for cross platform capability.
by VonPadraig on 2019/03/04 04:49
Whoopi! Microsoft allows me to log into my Xbox live account. Bit Whoop! Doesn’t mean a dang thing. There is ZERO cross over to remember games from my iPad to my iPhone using the SAME Xbox Live account AND my SAME iCloud account. Oh yeah, it asks to recover from Xbox cloud, it it recovers NOTHING. Just as bad, there is no cross platform capability for, IOS to my XBox and Windows 10. REALLY? If I am logged into my Live account, you should be able to store my game information!!! Worse still, I have the Premium Subscription on my Windows10/Xbox side, but Microsoft doesn’t allow that to carry over to IOS. And visa versa. I was trying to switch to something that would sync. I wanted to pay ONCE for a subscription. Since I can’t sync, I’ll just go back to the competitor’s product that doesn’t barrage me with ads. You screwed up Microsoft.
Like the game...timing for challenges is wrong and frustrating
by LuluSD on 2020/04/15 16:59
UPDATE: I just started the Pyramid Adventure challenge and decided to check my time after each game in the challenge. I just completed the first challenge without stopping at easy level within 3 minutes at most...I checked the time and it said 55 min 42 seconds. This is most discouraging & disappointing...especially as a premium player paying the annual subscription fee! PREVIOUS: Usually when you are interrupted in the middle of a game, you close it and pick up where you left off. This is also true of me solitaire, except that when doing a challenge...the timer still keeps going. For example, It may show I played for 8 hrs, when I only had an hour or minutes of actual playtime, so it affects my score. They need to stop the time when you have to interrupt a game and continue it once you open the game again.
For the love of god do something about the buttons.
by Desiree M. Miller on 2019/05/09 08:21
I’d give this game a five but it most comfortable to hold the phone in landscape mode when playing. However in order to hold the phone securely you have to do so in a way that causes you to touch the buttons and interrupt your game countless times when you inevitability bum the wrong one. One of the developers should hold the phone in landscape mode and play for 10-20 minutes and see how often they hit the wrong button. I have small hands and I do it with an annoying frequency. I can’t imagine what it would be like for someone with big ones. Also move the hide the buttons slider up and away from the iPhone slide (bottom of screen) they’re far to close and you often can’t pull up the game buttons because it’s not registering that that’s what you’re trying to do.
This is getting annoying
by Sharon Donahue on 2020/04/23 16:10
Once again I am forced to shut down the app after finishing a challenge and potentially having to replay it if the data is lost. Plus the timer will add the time spent waiting for the app to reload plus the time spent replaying the challenge so that it will look like I spent half an hour trying to finish the challenge instead of having done it in under three minutes. I get that you probably have thousands of people logging in at the same time and it’s a drag on the system but this is getting ridiculous. Please fix this issue, as the app is great otherwise. (Still wondering about being able to pause challenges and request hints during a game.)
Great App, Varied and Challenging
by Oahu1965 on 2020/06/11 20:38
I love that there are multiple Solitaire games in one app and that each game has several difficulty levels. It’s really easy to play a simple or challenging game in one place. The daily and special challenges add another level of fun and competition. If I could ask for one improvement it would be....Give the option to clear the board when doing the challenges. Sometimes I get really into the game, am doing really well when suddenly I meet the score or play the card needed and the game closes. How about a message like “Challenge achieved. Finish board?” and let the player decide. Other than that this free app is great and keeps me playing sometimes for hours
“Put” the Soli’ in “Solitaire”
by Toopienator on 2018/11/16 20:54
I have a history of having been made fun of a lot. But, I have no one to play much with, so I play Solitaire. Okay, does anyone else love this? I know people do, but as much as I do? No, that’s not actually possible, is it? No. That’d be stupid to think that. This game is solid all the way around. People love it, but not as much as me. I think that Solitaire is classic any way you put it. The joy of playing a classic card game on the iPhone, iPad, Windows Phone, Mac OS, or Microsoft Windows Operating System is more than you’d think. It’s amazing. No matter how you put it. No matter how much change you make. It’s always great. I love it. It sure does put the Soli’ in Solitaire.

I love this game! It’s my favorite version of solitaire out there (and I’ve tried MANY different apps). I play this game just about every single day, and I love the daily challenges. HOWEVER, you really must upgrade to a paid version to make it worth playing, otherwise the ads are just too much. I wish there was a set fee of like $5 because even though the monthly fee is only a couple dollars, it’s really a lot of money for what you are getting. Also, EVERY MONTH, on the day that my account renews, it reverts back to an unpaid account and I have to deal with ads again all day until the account renews. This has happened EVERY MONTH since I’ve had the app (about 6 months I think). This is a bug that NEEDS to be fixed.
UTTERLY PATHETIC!!
by MicrosoftSucksMonkeyBrains on 2018/09/29 01:08
All these years of having solitaire on regular PC and now these lazy morons can’t even get a simple reproduction of the same game to work properly on a phone. This update is even worse than the last one. Now, at least it can keep up to the speed of the player— but now when you’re playing and you get to the end of the deck, you can sit and tap the spot (where the deck was sourced from) to restart the deck from the beginning... over and over and over indefinitely and it will keep registering your tap on the position to the left, on the final card displayed. In other words, they literally programmed it wrong to where it registers a tap - not where your finger is - but on the adjacent card. IDIOTS!!!! On the last update, it did this sometimes. Now, it does it every single game. I wish all these lazy complacent morons at Microsoft would just pack it in and go home and let somebody else do the job the right way.
Great for passing the time.
by Graphiic Frenzy on 2021/01/18 21:14
I love solitaire and I've been playing these card games since I was young. Being able to sign into my xbox account and earn achievements is a nice touch too. However I've been trying for multiple months now to complete the Marathon achievement (which is to complete at least one daily challenge a day, for a month) and I've been doing this for the entire month of January (2021) until the 16th. My game apparently experienced a bug that would crash after completing a daily challenge, and (unknown to me until today) it wasn't syncing to my xbox account. I decided to uninstall the app and reinstall it, which fixed the bug. Then I noticed that three days worth of daily challenges haven't been logged. Meaning now I must wait until February to attempt the achievement again. These little bugs occur far too often and mess with progress when you delete and reinstall the app the fix said bugs. Really frustrating when paired with this type of "waiting game" achievement. Playing for fun: great, highly recommend. Trying to 100% a game I've had for a few years: not as high of a recommendation.
Best Solitaire App But Key Features Still Missing
by Heather_Dianne on 2018/07/26 21:05
This is probably the best solitaire app available yet in the App Store. I play almost every day and try to complete every event. I love that we get all five of the traditional solitaire games in one. It’s easy to lose time playing. The one thing that is disappointing is that we are missing key features even after the app has been around for a couple years now. Even though the Windows PC app has them, the mobile app is still missing the “star club” and themes features. I have been waiting for months, hoping we’d get a new update with this feature but it has yet to come. Hopefully we can get it before the end of the year but we’ll see. That’s the only issue I’ve faced with the app.
Help MEEE 😔
by Emily Serratooo on 2020/07/11 09:42
I love this app!! It is realllyyyy goood and if it wasn’t for my current issue I’d rate it 5 stars but I can’t fix the problem! I had previously downloaded the app and created an Xbox account through my gmail a long time ago and have recently re-downloaded it. When I tried signing back into my account, I put in my email and misspelled it 🤦🏽‍♀️ There is an option that says, “Typo in your email? Fix it here” but every time I try to click on it, it turns darker and gets a underline but it doesn’t take me anywhere!! No matter how long I wait it stays on the same page. I’ve tried deleting the app and re-downloading it but it doesn’t help it stays the same!! I just want my old progress 😖 Can someone help mee?
The latest update is not good
by PapaMikey on 2018/09/27 13:36
I’ve been playing these solitaire games for quite awhile but with this latest update, promotions for other games are a hinderance to my playing pleasure. The promos pop up at the beginning of various games and also in the Daily Challenge and the other challenges. It’s irritating to me and I hope they’ll change it back. Two stars but that may change. It depends on Microsoft. Microsoft could have just asked for a one time upgrade fee but instead decided to charge a HIGH monthly fee to bypass those irritating game ads that pop up and make this game less enjoyable. I’m sure a lot of people including myself are going to be playing it less now. Dropping stars to one now.
I love it. There is room for improvement.
by Xantharius on 2019/12/18 06:26
This is everything you love about solitaire. The card action and sounds are great; the graphics look good; it’s a good solitaire experience. But— If I have just one stack of cards that’s unturned (everything is else is Kings or is turned) the app should just complete the rest for me—do I have to go through the motions of making every single card in the deck move into its correct place before “Solve” appears? I know I’m done! Just finish it for me! And when there are no remaining moves possible, the app should know that, and not make me ask for hint after hint just to verify that fact. I know that I can’t make any more moves—why would the app not just work that out and tell me right away? This point is definitely the one that needs the most attention, as it’s a pain to have to not just cycle through every card in the remaining deck, but also have to request a hint on each occasion to provoke the app to report that no further moves are possible. I appreciate the work that goes into app-making. Sorting out these two points would improve things considerably. Thanks for the work you’ve put into the app.
Great Games Annoying Execution
by Over60techbabe on 2019/10/30 00:44
I really enjoy playing multiple solitaire games and if could would give this 5stars. However there is bug when playing the tournament games. Lately after winning a game I get the chasing white balls from hell and a error message that the internet is not on. Mind you I can go the the daily challenges and play without an issue. It’s the same app! Why can’t the tournament portion of the app not recognize the internet connection? Of course this means that my winning game is lost (and must be replayed) and the game time longer than it should be (faster finish time higher ranking). I’m seriously considering tossing this app.
Ehhh
by Bella090303 on 2019/08/27 15:26
This would be the best solitaire game I’ve ever played, but there’s definitely some things that puts me off that I wish they would fix. First off is that you can’t start a new game. Once you start a game, the only way to restart it is either to press the undo button dozens of times until you’re back to the beginning-which eats up time as well- or finish playing until it says you are out of moves- which counts as a loss. It puts me off that there’s no way to actually restart the game. Also, the hint button can sometimes loop back and fourth between two moves not actually helping when you’re stuck, even though it’s not unsolvable and there’s a move you could do. If it weren’t for these things I would stick with this app.
Almost perfect
by crochetin on 2019/04/01 19:37
I play daily and they offer enough choices and levels of difficulty plus challenges to make it worth paying the yearly premium to skip the ads. My only frustration is that the premium payment is PER DEVICE! Had I known that, I would have waited before paying. I started playing on my laptop but now find it easier and more convenient to play on my tablet. Unfortunately my premium payment was on my laptop. I suffer thru relentless ads while my premium payment goes to waste. Seems to me, as I can play on only one device at a time, the premium mode should sync across devices. Disgruntled user ...
Best solitaire app
by LsLg Fire on 2017/10/04 22:53
The first time I played solitaire was the Microsoft Windows XP game. And now Microsoft has this app. I love the classic winning animation I wish you could turn off the new ones so I see the nostalgia inducing one only. Also the old fireworks from Spider Solitaire would be awesome the didn’t have a shine or glow they were just a blast of circles with a black outline and the color would fade to another color. I love the use of Xbox live gamerscore and I’m using this app to get mine higher. I really want to see star club. I hate that there are those achievements for it and you guys haven’t added it yet. I hope it will come eventually thanks for making the app
Loading during competition
by frustratedirish on 2020/09/05 14:36
Unfortunately sometimes the game server is unable to load your game that you just finished during a timed competition so you are given a choice to cancel or retry. Or sometimes it will just give you the cancel and spin as it tries to load your data. The outcome is that your time for the competition event is much more than the actual time you spent playing because it is adding all the time trying to access the server. It is extremely disappointing and frustrating to play the games and then discover your time is 7 hours more than it should be!!!
Needs one fix
by Col313 on 2020/08/12 16:56
I really love the app and went premium as a treat, but the ads are not too annoying if you don’t want to pay. However, there is one bug I would LOVE to see fixed. Every now and then the app freezes, says “Loading,” just after finishing a game. When that happens you lose credit for the game BUT IT STILL COUNTS YOUR TIME. So you have to play that round again, but it counts your time double. Could you please have the game stop timing as soon as it says, “Completed?” I think the problem is space, and I need to close apps before playing - if so, could you program in a warning so I could make space before the app crashes? Thanks.
Good gameplay, BUT....
by ElleBee123 on 2020/11/02 14:36
I have had this app for years and play it for maybe 10 or 15 minutes almost every day just to take a break. It relaxes me and I like that. So why the three stars? Because of the misleading ads. I don't mind that the game HAS ads—it's a free app, after all, so that doesn't bother me. What DOES bother me is the absolutely INCESSANT, 100% misleading ads from apps like Homescapes or Gardenscapes, where the ads don't even show actual gameplay. The ads look like these are fun pull-the-pin type puzzle games, when in fact these apps are just stupid match 3 Bejewelled style knockoffs. Super annoying. C'mon, Microsoft. You own this Solitaire app. It's a good app. You have more money than God. You can afford to police the advertising you allow. Do it.
Show “Time”
by Deebbpc on 2019/11/03 18:57
I do like this app much more than any other. I appreciate the updates, when we get them, I also feel the designers are interested in providing a great game to provide contentment for the users (players). I would so love it if, no matter how I play, tournaments, daily challenges, or just out there on my own, etc., I could ALWAYS see my time for each game. When I play, I frequently personally challenge myself. It would be so convenient if the time for each game showed up as it does in the tournaments. At this time, that is really the only concern I have with this app. I really love to play.
Great Game, Almost
by The Objective Chipmunk on 2020/05/09 14:23
First off, this is absolutely the classic solitaire game you’re looking for. It brings back memories of computer class in high school where we wasted all our time playing solitaire and minesweeper. That said, the ads here, though not terribly intrusive, are still annoying. And to remove them, Microsoft has apparently had a stroke in deciding what to charge. Rather than a simple “remove ads” option for a few dollars (like most other apps), you need to pay a subscription. A subscription? Seriously? You want me to pay monthly or annually for a game that was free on every Windows computer two decades ago? Nope. So if you can put up with the ads, or don’t mind overpaying for a game to get rid of those ads, go for it. Great solitaire experience.
Good game, but the ads are out of control
by JC SV on 2020/02/01 03:43
Since I last updated, the ads have increased dramatically. Previously, they didn’t show up much of you played games in random mode. Now, it seems like there’s an ad almost every other play. To make matters worse, there’s a bug with the ad feature. If the app displays an ad and starts playing it, then the user switches to another app and comes back to the solitaire app, the ad will still be displayed, but it will be paused. No controls are available to either continue playing the ad or close it. The only workaround is to close and reopen the solitaire app. I’m deleting the app and finding a good solitaire app that I can pay for once. There’s no way I’m paying Microsoft for a subscription for a solitaire game.
Spider Solitaire is Great!
by DennyO- StAugustine on 2019/12/01 02:04
This game is super in that you can pick different challenge levels and if you initially fail to solve the challenge you can continue to work to massage your solution till you are successful! Some games can be solved in 10 minutes while others take hours over days to find the solution. As I start a game I don’t know which type of game I’ll get. It is always wonderful to come up with a quick solution, but longer games can be very satisfying after you solve them. Having a 99.5 +% success rate after playing over 1000 games is very satisfying.
Why?
by Felinegrl on 2019/02/03 09:00
Why all the ads and why are so many apps subscriptions? I am on a limited income and can't afford too many. I generally hate Microsoft. Way too many bugs. And crashes. That is why I want to Apple. I love their products. No viruses etc, no crashes. I started on pcs and learned on Microsoft. Great game except for ads! I don't mind small ones and get the need for them. Have paid up to 5.00 dollars to get rid of ads. They take away from games and slow my devices down. As this is an old mini with IOS 9.1.5 or so the ads really gum it up. Please rethink them. Thank you.
All apps in one
by Isgoodapptowaist time on 2017/08/11 22:34
You get 5 different type of card games to play with levels to them. Get bored of one game just play a different type of game. I don't have to download different apps to play different types of games because this app has them all. You get 5 daily challenge for the day. All different levels as well to earn coins. The app does crash after an add, the screen goes black when the add ends. Just press the home button to exit the screen, Go back into the app again and you'll be back to the game you choice to play, ready to play without the add again.
Keeps the brain active!
by snelson600 on 2018/11/18 17:39
I use the free version and just deal with the ads. (My cat likes to watch them because they are so active 😺). I am pretty much happy with it. My only complaint is that some of the random decks are unsolvable and although they tell you that, you end up trying to solve it many times before you give up, still not knowing if it was solvable or not. Although you can choose the complexity of your games, you cannot choose a range, like " medium or harder" or something like that. Perhaps you can on the paid version. I like the graphics.
LENGTHY ADS ARE DEFEATING THE PURPOSE OF GAME
by orangewebbedfeet on 2020/04/14 00:03
This game is used for fun and a mental escape. But the VERY lengthy ads are making more anxiety and is disrespectful. The ads used to be shorter, they kept growing longer for vendors that paid more, but it’s taking advantage of the game’s players. The ads were always annoying, but sometimes I liked them. I, as most people, dont need a long time to decide we are interested or not. Beating us bloody with ads for which there are no exits and once there is, the exit “x” is often so tangled with the ad that pressing the “x” takes you to the app’s ad repeatedly and finally back to playing the game, in general is an abuse. IN THE TIME OF A PANDEMIC IS DISGUSTING. PEOPLE NEED TOOLS TO COPE. WHEN THE TOOLS ARE TRYING TO MAKE MORE MONEY AT THE COST OF THE SUPPOSED PURPOSE OF THE GAME, ITS APPALLING. WE ARE WILLING TO VIEW ADS, BUT THIS IS OUT OF BALANCE, PLEASE RECONSIDER YOUR BUSINESS MODEL WITH THESE GAMES MICROSOFT.
Microsoft Solitaire used to be fun
by KSPowercat on 2020/10/26 23:52
Microsoft Solitaire used to be fun, but their new add system is so intrusive as to make the game completely unplayable. You used to be able to ignore the adds, but now the adds completely take over the game and you are forced to watch an annoying finger play a game until hell freezes and you are allowed to close that demo. Unfortunately, they do that to you at least one more time, making you loathe what was once a really good version of Solitaire. Their add free version is way too expensive, and is a monthly or yearly payment. I'd gladly pay a few bucks to get rid of adds, but not what they are charging. This is Solitaire after all. Fortunately there are many more versions available in the store so I will be taking my playing elsewhere. Way to go, Microsoft, you ran me off.
Still pretty good but many problems too
by Steve8pi on 2020/01/30 12:47
-Removing another star because now most ads are using secret 1-pixel hotspots for the close X. It's almost impossible to close the ad when it is done playing. Carefully trying to hit the X results in taking you to the page to buy the product 85% of the time. -Downgrading my rating again. Now getting an ad for every game and half the ads have loud annoying audio that always defaults to on. -Came back to edit my review. I'm downgrading it to by a star due to the constant 30-second ads before each game. -Overall a pretty good solitaire collection but recent updates have turned on 30-second ads that can't be skipped. 😖 Also the new graphics are hard on the eyes. Smaller fonts, fuzzier card graphics. Not so pleasant to look at anymore.

Good but one problem
by EmRy mom on 2021/05/05 19:58
I like the game but I hate that during the events it doesn’t just time when you’re actually playing. If you put your phone down for an hour, it counts all that time even though you’re not playing. It’s super frustrating.

No sound
by justmetheT on 2021/05/04 02:35
Today, the sound of the game went mute.
Not

Microsoft makes a ton of money they can lose some ad revenue and be fine, corporate pigs.

by TheRhinoKing on 2021/04/30 16:06
Pop-ups are manageable and love the fact that it is cloud backup so you can carry the game over to other devices.

If I had paid for the ad-free version, I would feel cheated, like someone took my new SUV to the dealer for service and it came back looking like a 90’s Geo Metro and insisted it was better now.

by NYmission on 2021/04/16 19:11
This is the authentic Windows classic but vamped up a little with fun daily challenges. The ads are extremely non intrusive (unlike most mobile game ads now) I almost never notice they are even there. You don’t have to interaction with them at all. Added bonus is you can sign into Xbox Live and unlock achievements and gain Gamerscore. Very pleased with this app.
Updates = more ads
by SuperMar69 on 2021/04/15 21:40
Used to be fun and is well made but unfortunately with almost daily updates, it’s very difficult to win.

If you don’t relaunch it for a while all the time is added to your last game and you have to play that game over so even more time
Enjoying

Sick, demented games in ads

Hands down.

As of late, there are looooooong video ads that often freeze and you cannot get out of unless you close the game. Fun games, but because of the loooooong ads, you lost two stars. by rabbit1029 on 2021/02/26 03:58
It keeps losing progress around level nine.

My favorite game!! But...
by Kristinmw2323 on 2020/11/16 04:30
I love this game!

I play daily and they offer enough choices and levels of difficulty plus challenges to make it worth paying the yearly premium to skip the ads. My only frustration is that the premium payment is PER DEVICE! Had I known that, I would have waited before paying. I started playing on my laptop but now find it easier and more convenient to play on my tablet. Unfortunately my premium payment was on my laptop.
Thanks.
