As a website builder, Wix is really great. It’s easy to learn and it’s very customizable. I’ve been using it since 2017. However, the app does nothing for me, at least at this time on iPad. I downloaded it because my laptop broke a few months ago so all I have right now are my iPad and phone. You can’t edit from a mobile browser and now I can’t edit in the app. I’m not asking to do any major reorganizing, I just have some text I need to update, prices, and maybe upload some new photos to my gallery. But the only thing the wix app is currently capable of is checking on social and message notifications (which I have social apps and notifs for so don’t need that) and there is a blog manager. So if I was just managing a blog this would probably be fine. But I’m screwed right now because my desktop has been out of commission, and yeah, public computers still not available due to covid so can’t even go to the library to get stuff done. I truly can’t wait until I’m proven wrong here so I can raise my rating. And if I’m wrong now and just stupid and missing something, please help!

If a user defames and libels someone, and posts false information WIX will not remove said information, or the website per their own rules. If the person the wixs user is defaming has proof WIX still will not remove the false information. This is how cyberbullies get away with all the things they do, companies like WIX.

I have an iPad Pro that can handle heavy tasks, but the app keeps forcing me to have to edit via a computer. I can’t even open safari to request a desktop page and edit my website there (which I would’ve thought would’ve been added as an option. What’s the point of the app if you can’t do anything on it. I’m giving two stars because the are like two things o liked and don’t have a month using the application, maybe the desktop interface and experience is better, but as far as this app goes, it’s too limiting and a pain to use. Matter of fact I’ll change it to one star. Squarespace is a lot easier to get started. And as a plus I can edit on a browser right on my iPad and have mobile and tablet mode I can switch through all without closing any windows. Barely using both services for a week and Wix is extremely limited when it comes to customizing a page and making out your own. Which is a shame

I have spent days trying to get any photo to upload to an album and successful only once...every other time it just hangs on 0%. The one picture I did manage to get uploaded did in fact show up in my photo album, but then it couldn’t be accessed in my media files for use elsewhere. Neither could I get it even to load to my media section. I don’t know what the disconnect is but I downloaded this app to be able to post photos and blogs from my phone/iPad, and if it can’t even manage to do that it isn’t worth the time to even download the app. The number of hours I have put into trying to make this function work is ridiculous. The help pages are woefully inadequate and when I finally reached tech support their solution was to transfer photos from my phone to my laptop and upload them from there...hardly a robust, sustainable solution. Suggest Wix remove this from App Store until they have a proven tool.

I love the website. Very easy to use but the app is pointless for me. It has my blog on it but doesn’t show my pages which are literally the whole point. I’m an amateur photographer who set this website up to display a portfolio but the portfolio pages don’t show up on the app. Their customer support doesn’t seem to know how to help either. *edit to add: based on your response, you didn’t actually read what I wrote. I did contact support. THEY HAVEN’T HELPED.

I used their website for a while thinking it is easy and cool. It was much later i found out that websites built on wix do not index and rate well in Google. Also their mobile website version does not work often requiring tweaks , I lost business because of being stuck with wix. In case you did not, this is an Israeli company not an American company.

Fantastic App and Website Builder! App and website are integrated! Imagine that!! Makes life so much easier. Much more intuitive than Shopify. I hope the add more analytics (or maybe I don’t know how to find them yet, still learning). So far, I’ve done everything on my phone! Very happy so far and the price can’t be beat! I got 50% off during the sale so got the 3 year plan and no regrets!

I love the ease of use for keeping track of my orders but Wix has to grow wit the times. People are using afterpay and Quadpay more and more now but wiz doesn’t have this integration available for ya business customers. Come on Wix!

I’m giving this a one star, because it didn’t correctly cross sync with the website. Last evening I started a blog draft on the app, I then went to work on the draft some more the next day. Saved it. And later that evening went to continue working on it in the app only to find that it did not cross sync with the website and in turned replaced my draft to the one from the night before. I then went back to the website and to my dismay saw the older version. I just lost an hour’s worth of work and there’s currently no way for me to revert it back to the version from earlier today. Hence the one star until this is resolved. :( Also irritated that submitting a help ticket is so difficult. I don’t want to talk to a bot when I already spent 30min looking through the help forum. If I couldn’t find a solution taking 30min and browsing through the help forum, I don’t think the bot will either.

Password reset link doesn’t work

My local gym is using the wix app to sign up for classes but I cannot create an account due to the password reset link being broken. It has the correct email address and says it has sent a confirmation email but, alas, none have come through. And yes, I’ve checked the spam/junk/trash folders about a billion times. Would love to get in touch with Wix for help but there is no email contact, just a useless FAQ. It’s been a ton of frustration and annoyance so far. Would not recommend.

I got this app so I could respond to the costumers that we’re trying to get in touch with me but I never seem to be able to. When I get emails that I have messages and I go in the app to respond, the app says I have no messages. It doesn’t allow me to answer any questions at all.

This app stinks. I’ve been trying to load media from my phone and it locks up. In order to try again, I have to close it out, reopen only to have the same thing happen. I had tried to choose a different template, was charged for it as well as another premium site and they denied me a refund. I agree with other users that this is a scam. Would give it zero stars if I could. I’m sure they will copy and paste the same response as everyone else has gotten! 👎🏻

I’ve found especially when creating text posts, the default mobile autocorrect, auto cap/uppercase, and predictive features are really messed up. Also if I accidentally click out of the text box while typing a post, the entirety of the posts content will disappear and be unrecoverable. Also I find that the website Wix in general is extremely busy, there are too many tips or suggestions. I know what I want to do with my website, so please back off. Honestly considering finding a different website to use.

I love connecting with fans and all the customization features available. Keep updating and fixing the few bugs that are there and the other thing I would recommend is having a dark mode or an option to change the background color.

I made a new blog post draft in the app the other day. Yesterday I opened the post on my computer and did a ton of writing and editing in it. Today I opened the post in the app. None of my edits from yesterday were there. I pull the blog post draft up on my PC an hour later and all my work from yesterday are deleted from there too. Just an empty draft like what was in the app. An entire days worth of work lost because this app doesn’t actually sync anything.

Wix is not user-friendly at all. Wix is not responsive and my website loads so slow. Wix does not offer any statistics. The Wix marketplace offers absolutely nothing of value. The Wix support team is not responsive at all. Wix is so expensive and it is an absolute scam. If you are looking to create a website, please do not choose this platform. You will be disappointed!

We paid extra for our plan to be able to use wix hotels, yet we can’t use wix payments with wix hotels. We also have to pay extra for a channel manager that doesn’t work properly instead of wix allowing iCal link exports like almost all other booking services. Wix... the nickel and dime web host.

So, first, I use it on a computer. Now, it is a very easy and simple way to make a website, the only let down is that with adds, you can make money, but you have to spend money for the premium plan, instead of just having it take a bit of the money you make from adds, unless you have premium.

I used to have no problems with this app on my phone. For the past 4 months, when someone comes to my website and I click on the notification, nothing shows up in the app. I have to go back to my messages screen, wait for the green bar to pop up at the bottom, then click on it to see where the person is on my website. It’s so annoying. I have deleted and redownloaded the app multiple times but nothing has helped.

This platform always has bugs always has problems. I can never run my business smoothly because wix is always having a problem with something. Right now my invoices won’t print correctly. It won’t print any of the items my customers order and I have to manually write them it’s so annoying and time consuming. They don’t break down your analytics without you paying extra.

I just wanted a one page website and domain from google domains. I now have 2x vip wix membership and a busted web page. Honest I choose you because google suggests it. It was supposed to be easy. Now I have a billing nightmare, broken website and have no idea how to remove my phone number from my web page. My last effort has landed me here?! That is how messed up this is. Please help. This app seemed like a good alternative to editing my blog online but I can’t even get past step one. All of the options disappear when I search for what type of site/app I’ll be making. Even the online editing is frustrating with all of the moveable elements (working on a touch screen) but way better than this app.

First of all, wix for a website creator is a terrible choice because they, on their mobile website don’t allow you to select a template. Also to get SEO you HAVE TO upgrade! I mean common! This app is terrible, so hard to figure out what to do, basically can only post some weird stuff for people who join my group (?????????), and basically can’t edit my site. I’m a blogger, and couldn’t find a good app. I found Wix on my laptop, but that’s to big to take everywhere, so I was incredibly happy when I found the Wix app. I love that I can access all my websites from my phone, and that is takes a few seconds to make a new one! This is the best free app for bloggers!

HORRIBLE! I do not recommend anybody to use this site! It all started with them verifying my account. It was supposed to take up to 5-7 business days but took wayyyyy longer. I called customer service everyday for 2 weeks asking them and they didn’t know anything and kept telling me they have to send it to another department. After about 2 weeks I get an email for the verification department basically saying my website didn’t comply with standards when they most definitely did (I sell clothes). So they closed my account (meaning they could refund all my customers their money AFTER I already had sent the merchandise to them) I made $1,100 dollars within one week and if they refund all the customers I will sue and take this to small claim court. Customer service is horrible and they don’t know anything, also they take forever to email you back or get to you. If there was zero stars that’s what I would do. I don’t recommend this site to anyone!

I like Wix. It’s very hands on and you’re able to do a lot. I wish the app was more dedicated to restaurants or had its own app for restaurants. The app is catered to more of inviting people to join the wix app and if your a restaurant owner you know customers only care about being able to order food the easiest way possible and wix pushes inviting ppl to join the app. We need more features for restaurants.

I love the WIX App. I have all of my customers set up to book sessions through the app but every few weeks you break something and they can’t book sessions. Then I have angry customers. I am a big WIX fan but if this keeps happening I will have to find another solution. Please add the booking feature to your QA protocols.

The app update is very nice, I must say the app is faster and it has not crashed while I have been using it. But the only downside is that my logo won’t load! It says that it has loaded but when I press save, my logo is not there! I have tried this multiple times and it still won’t save. I have contacted wix support and they still haven’t got back to me. As a paid customer I must say I am very dissatisfied with the customer support!

Before they put new and confusing plans that were expensive but now I think they removed it or updated it. I hope Wix never goes away because my website is constantly changing and I need to add a lot of stuff on there. I know Wix is super easy but they should put a live chat option for people to contact them in the future. I hope Wix will continue to be in business and improve their website builder for their consumers. To be honest, this is my favorite website builder. Keep it up! Thank you Wix team!

This app is very good for helping me manage my bakery. It helps me keep track of orders and customers. But it’s only gets three stars because the tech support is atrocious. When the app decides NOT to work, and NOT to send me notifications, I miss orders. That’s terrible for business. When I troubleshoot and it doesn’t work, the next logical step is to reach out to tech support. I spent 48 minutes on the phone. Half the time was spent on hold, the other half was spent just trying to get the support employee to understand what my problem is, which takes a very long time with people who don’t speak English. My problem didn’t get resolved, after all that time on the phone I was told “it must be a glitch” (yea, you don’t say), and that someone would get back to me later. I didn’t receive an email back until three whole days later, and the email was simply a screenshot of how to turn on notifications. As if I’m so stupid that after three days I wouldn’t consider that maybe notifications wasn’t turned on. Horrible customer service y’all. Really bad.

What’s to say, I wouldn’t have the Empire if it weren’t for Wix. In and of itself is phenomenal, cannot even comment on simplicity of use, integrations, and activity on apps and across devices. I started my business officially some twenty years ago. Since it and I have gone through many growing pains. Wix has been with us all the while. I’m now operating Manufacturing, Markets, and Media; all through Wix.

When working with an app related to your business, typically you need as much assistance as possible. I find it very challenging to get in touch with someone regarding technical issues when needed. I love the app and the intended access given to many site features. But, when something goes wrong we need an instant chat or number to dial for assistance. Other than that it’s great!

Wix is a great site builder but now they’re trying to get you to use the app more. The app is buggy. Sometimes I try to post and it says “oops there was a problem. We’ll get right on that.” Constantly when I try to post from my phone. Annoying and useless.
Online Restaurant Orders

We’ve used Wix for a while now. Their online system was great until they took down their restaurants app and merged it with their Wix app. Ever since then we’ve had so many problems. The orders are always delayed, we used to immediately receive the orders our customers placed online. We’ve also had so many orders that don’t show up until we refresh it ourselves. The biggest feature missing is the option to print. Printing allows us to attach the ticket to the customers order and they can pick up the right order. It also showed us if they paid online or not. Now that feature is completely missing. All of this has caused us a great amount of trouble and embarrassment in front of our customers. Hopefully they either fix this app or let us use the old Restaurants app.

So far, I’ve been thrilled, then disappointed, then exhilarated, then exhausted. It’s like they have too many irons in the fire. I will save a complete review for after I *try* to give them the benefit of the doubt... Again. It wouldn't be so bad that this app just WON'T do anything... Like, at all... Except for the bait and switch they got me with when I bought the premium plan and suddenly all the extras were Removed because I went monthly instead of yearly. Didn't see anything about a difference until money was about to be spent. Of course, I could have missed something, but 30 years in marketing usually means they tried REEEEAAAALLY hard to not make it obvious. I just left one GoDaddy after years, because of this stuff... Dont have me tell another... "You can GO top, daddio." (That was wordplay. You're welcome.)

I downloaded this app in order to chat with potential customers online. I have a lot of issues with the “customer online” notification leading me to nothing. I always think well maybe there is an update which makes the notifications in the app work better, and maybe there is an upgrade that makes it easier to find who is currently on line...but the upgrades never fix the issue and there seems to be an upgrade almost every other day?? I use the app specifically to chat with online customers looking to place an order or get more information, and I really wish that this particular part of the app didn’t have so many issues. It should be easy to find the “customers online”

This site/app worked well until our business grew to over 4 customers a month, then it lagged and crashed often. The App will no longer let us access our company page, nor will it let us upload any images for our site. Add to that you cannot get in touch with anyone at Wix for any help. If you value the success of your business and want help when you need it, I highly recommend any other company.

We’ve been using Wix for a while, and it’s been very inconsistent. Most recently it’s stopped notifying us through emails that we are receiving bookings. The only way I saw that we were booked yesterday is that I just happened to check the app when I used it to book an appointment. I’ve been missing messages from my clients, and the therapists I have working with us are no longer getting these notifications through email. It’s very important that we receive these bc the app does not send them to my therapist when I book it through the app or from my desk top. So now I’m calling or texting my employees every time I find a booking. I’m exhausted from trying to get a call back because they never call me when I request it. So this review is my last attempt at getting help. Small businesses like ours don’t have time to be glued to a computer all day hoping for a real human to finally respond to them.
Inspiring but one big minus

I started using Wix a month ago. Within a few days of playing with it I upgraded so I could have my own domain name and more features, and access to images, etc. Wix is very user friendly both on your computer and the app allows you to do a lot too while keeping an uncluttered look. (Perhaps most amazing is the AI assistant you use on your computer—after doing a short questionnaire about you needs and wants, it whips up a website for you. Frankly I was amazed at what it came up with for me, beautifully designed. You can then do a lot of customization. The more customization you do, the more learning curve. But I’ve been so inspired, I’ve been playing with it a lot. I downloaded the app; it too is to super easy to use with attractive design. Thanks for the blog manager! BUT...here’s the thing: I went to use the app on my iPad Pro and, well, there is no app for the iPad Pro! I was stunned and disappointed. It’s not like the Pro came out yesterday. The Pro would make the perfect work space for Wix—more design features would be possible than with phone app. You could then have pretty full featured Wix app on the go. Please tell me an iPad Pro app will soon be available?!

I have two sites with Wix. With the older one, I am able to reply directly to comments. But with the newer version, I can not. I just want to know who thought it was a great idea to take away the joy of no longer being able to engage with people who are subscribed to your site. Literally, what is the point of having a website where engagement and discussions are encouraged but you can’t even address each person as individuals. I’m incredibly upset and disappointed. With the money I’ve spent to build these sites, it’s heartbreaking to think that you no longer find it important to give people a voice on a website they pay just to be able to have that platform to interact with others. It’s a waste of time, money, and effort if all people can do is look and scroll but can’t even reply back to one another. Never thought I would have regrets with this site but I certainly do now. Not sure who the creative mind was behind it but they certainly didn’t consider the things people loved and made them want to go with Wix to begin with. Why over complicate? Are we not tired of experiencing this feeling. Simplicity is bliss. Now we’re just lost. Whoever the team was before, bring them back. Either make it better or leave it as is.
Nobody Will Respond To My Questions

So at first I loved the app. It was simple to use. I answered all of the surveys with thoughtful insights. I started earning cash and even started getting value surveys, which pay a little more than the regular ones. I haven’t won any of the big payments but I was fine with working my way up. Well I finally hit a little over $10, which is the minimum to cash out but it’s been almost a week and I still haven’t received my payment. So I tried emailing this company over and over again but nobody will respond and I have no idea how to get a hold of customer service. It took a lot of time and effort on my end to get up to $10 doing little $.15-.$25 surveys and would like to get my cash especially since I’m unemployed at the moment and Christmas is about to arrive. This app would be great and I would totally recommend it if they would be available to assist the people who took the time to complete their surveys. Don’t download this app if you are not okay with wasting your time. I use several other apps to make a little cash until I find a job and I always received payment within two to three days in my PayPal account. I’m highly disappointed!

I use Wix for my salon booking appointments. I recently got a suggestion from Wix suggesting that my clients download the app. Now before when my clients would book online I could see everything their name,number, an email an services that they were booking for. Now when they book with the app it doesn’t have the clients name or number. Just the service their getting an email. In the booking part it only shows service. I don’t even see or know who I am servicing. So I don’t know who I’m about to give service too. Although emails are fine I mostly contact my clients by phone. I will not be suggesting for my clients to use the app until it gives me more information on my end about the clients an their appointment. As for now I will continue to lead my clients to the website to book their appointments. Also I had only one conflict where my client scheduled an appointment it gave me the wrong time that she scheduled for. It was an whole hour difference. Her appointment was at 3:30 pm an her confirmation told her the same. But on my notification calendar it said 4:30 pm . I hope this doesn’t happen again. It was an inconvenience for us both to have different times.

When I first started using this app I really like it, now it’s becoming a annoyance and inconvenience with the problems that come with it. I blocked out last month when I needed a break for working and it would not let me unblock so I couldn’t use the app, I even emailed and received a response saying someone will get back to me but no one did. I just had to wait until my block was over for my clients to schedule. It is now a month later I’m trying to block off a certain time and it’s practically doing the same thing but this time I need a special time blocked every week and it’s not even acknowledging it. It’s still showing my entire schedule is available even when I uncheck the Wednesday box that whole day is still available to book. Another thing is when my client go to styles the pic is cut off it would be great if I continue to keep the app if you could show the full picture that would be great. Other than that i haven’t had problems but those are major problems and could affect my client relationship.

I’ve been using Wix for 5 years now. The app has been incredibly helpful in managing my therapy private practice. I was able to easily see my bookings calendar and schedule appointments for my clients. After the new update, it is incredibly difficult to find my bookings calendar. One page title “my bookings” says that I have no appointments, and then redirects me to another page that shows how many appointments I actually have for the week. It used to be very easy to see my calendar - one click and I’m there. Now I have to click through pages and pages to find my appointments. I don’t know why that changed! Another problem I have with the app is that it constantly gets stuck showing all of my notifications. The app will say I have three notifications, so I’m thinking I have three appointments. I click into the app and go from page to page to find nothing. I mark all of my alerts as “read” and close out of the app - it still says I have three notifications. I can understand that any big app update can have bugs, but I don’t think the development of the most recent app had small businesses in mind.

This app is very good for helping me manage my bakery. It helps me keep track of orders and customers. But it’s only gets three stars because the tech support is atrocious. When the app decides NOT to work, and NOT to send me notifications, I miss orders. That’s terrible for business. When I troubleshoot and it doesn’t work, the next logical step is to reach out to tech support. I spent 48 minutes on the phone. Half the time was spent on hold, the other half was spent just trying to get the support employee to understand what my problem is, which takes a very long time with people who don’t speak English. My problem didn’t get resolved, after all that time on the phone I was told “it must be a glitch” (yea, you don’t say), and that someone would get back to me later. I didn’t receive an email back until three whole days later, and the email was simply a screenshot of how to turn on notifications. As if I’m so stupid that after three days I wouldn’t consider that maybe notifications wasn’t turned on. Horrible customer service y’all. Really bad.

I don’t even know where to begin. I made my business and I can’t believe how easy it was. This is the best website maker EVER!!! It has a lot of features and templates. Did I mention a lot of them are FREE!!!!!!!?? Definitely get this app if you have a business that you are starting and needs a website. I love all of the product options. I can put what sizes you can chose from when you are getting a product and you can put the colors of the product that you can chose from. It also comes with pictures to design your website with. Even though not all of the pictures are free, I still find it really cool. When I was making my website, it was really fun! I really want to pay for the Memberships, but I don’t have the money. This app I would recommend. 5/5 stars.
Loving the potential but...

I have been testing and exploring using the one mobile/Wix app for months. When I first started I didn’t roll it out because there wasn’t the capability to monitor who joins our community and how. Now there is and when COVID hit, I thought, the app is a perfect solution for our growing community of 1300+. But I’ve not been able to launch because for over two weeks now, we have not been able to get the “groups” feature to work—it doesn’t show up on member pages for some odd reason and WIX hasn’t been able to resolve things. It’s been extremely frustrating. They are seemingly elevating the issue now but it took a good 1 1/2 weeks for me to not have to re-explain the issue all over, provide all of the same information, etc with new people each time. Yet still, I don’t have any answers or a solution and we are in our third week! Has anyone else run into issues with “groups?” I’d rather Wix remove the option of having them if they can’t get them to work altogether.

As a website builder, Wix is really great. It’s easy to learn and it’s very customizable. I’ve been using it since 2017. However, the app does nothing for me, at least at this time on iPad. I downloaded it because my laptop broke a few months ago so all I have right now are my iPad and phone. You can’t edit from a mobile browser and now I can’t edit in the app. I’m not asking to do any major reorganizing, I just have some text I need to update, prices, and maybe upload some new photos to my gallery. But the only thing the wix app is currently capable of is checking on social and message notifications (which I have social apps and notifs for so don’t need that) and there is a blog manager. So if I was just managing a blog this would probably be fine. But I’m screwed right now because my desktop has been out of commission, and yeah, public computers still not available due to covid so can’t even go to the library to get stuff done. I truly can’t wait until I’m proven wrong here so I can raise my rating. And if I’m wrong now and just stupid and missing something, please help!
Mobile view lacking

I find it completely absurd that after all this time, we still can’t customize the mobile view. 75%+ of my visitors are using mobile devices and they need to scroll down pages and pages of full size photos to see what they want. Would it be so difficult to just give us two columns?! A grid to make viewing easier?! I’m sure I’m losing sales this way as the average visitor will lose patience. Also, they click on a product and see the title in humongous letters and a teeny tiny product photo. Can’t edit that either. There are a few other things that are absurdly behind the times like the tax setup. You can’t separate by category. So it’s completely inefficient/useless unless you only sell ONE type of product. You should at least be able to compartmentalize by collection. That way I could make jewelry taxable and other items non-taxable. They need to work on this; tax is a huge deal. Meanwhile I stay because it’s easiest to customize my site with their editor. Did not like Shopify’s editor at all.

App still not blog friendly. Cannot manipulate photos with the blog or access photos that have already been uploaded. Feedback Based on Update from Wix (below): 1) It would be nice to be able to do more than type up a blog on my mobile device. The app allows you to embed photos, but does not position the photo correctly in the blog or allow the user to manipulate the size or location. A problem for most blogs. 2) Wix failed to address the lack of functionality on iPad. Even in portrait mode it only opens one way on the screen (flip it over and you get an upside down app - very funny). With nearly 81 million iPad users, it might be worthwhile to fix it. Update: Feedback from WIX team: Thanks for sharing your feedback. The Wix Mobile App lets you manage your site and business (store, blog, hotel or booking system) directly from your mobile device. You can also engage with your customers on the Engage tab. Currently, it is not possible to access the Editor, or edit your site, through the Wix Mobile App." Original Post: This app continues to be very buggy and offers little functionality if a mobile platform is your primary means of working. Does not rotate from portrait on iPads, ability to edit blogs and manipulate photos is practically non-existant, and it often fails to connect. Wix was relatively easy....but very time consuming. I was able to get my site up in just 2 days (about 4 hours the 1st day and maybe 6 hours the 2nd day) part of that time was spent creating the privacy policy and my first Facebook business page and 1st FB ad that people can click and be directed to my Wix page. I just want customer service to be here for me when I hit road blocks....as I tried building a page with a different company, with Ipage years ago, then I had to buy a domain on godaddy, then I had to get a business email with Gmail.....sooo convoluted. Wix allows customers to send me emails, allows bookings, perfect for my business. Only one complaint, the hone page contact form doesn’t have a spot for a customer to input their phone number.

Wix authorizes my account to accept credit card payments using the new Wix payment method. After 45 days and selling over $10,000 worth of products, I realized Wix had not paid me a single penny. The un authorized my account. Its been 75 days now, and I still have not got a penny from them. I had to shut down my site. Move it to a new platform and launch my site. I then had to call over 100 customers. Refund them. Wait five days, and they send them a new invoice to pay. It caused me to lose 14 days of work. I was only able to recover $7000 of the $10,000. They have responded to 3 emails out of the 25 I have sent in the last 45 days. Their phone support team says the department which handles this issue does not have phone support and that I just need to wait five days for them to re-verify my account. If you want the slowest responsive website ever with the worst customer support in the world, use Wix. They will not disappoint you when it comes to letting you down!

I’m usually a little hesitant with some apps because they aren’t worth the time. However, I decided to go ahead with this app since I have all the other things connected under the premium account. I had just downloaded the app, logged in and on the computer side was doing some back end adjustments when a notification popped up that someone was on my site, what page, and for how long. OMGoodness. Blown away! I said to myself, “ain’t no way..” so me being me, published my background edits and went on the site live and BOOM! Notification pops up on que. Haven’t even explored the entire app yet but I’m excited for now and the improvements that will come for this app. Wix have continued to improve year after year. Keep it up!

I absolutely love Wix. I enjoy maneuvering though the site... The ability to edit easily, the options offered, as well as the fundamental straightforwardness the site offers. I ENJOY this compared to the many other sites out there. Now I have the functionality through my phone..?!?!?!! GREAT! This is the reason I ONLY prefer wix. Seriously, I have been able to create beautiful sites, editing has been easy and exciting... Wix is VERY INNOVATIVE! I enjoy all this site and the team behind this amazing site. You are always allowing us to grow with you by offering ways we can grow. I encourage all to use Wix bcz they are innovative and amazing. Always providing new ways for customers like me to improve the way we present ourselves.
Unhappy with update

I love wix for our websites - so easy to build beautiful websites. And the previous app version, while limited in capabilities, was very simple to navigate and intuitive. However, this new version - while it clearly has expanded capabilities (the reason I have two stars instead of one) - it falls short on the basics. I see a badge that I have a new notification and two things have happened on separate occasions: 1. I have a new message from my website contact form that I cannot access, because although I can see a preview of the first line in my notifications list, tapping on it won’t open it, or 2. I have no idea what the notification is about, because once I’ve opened the app, and discovered there’s no new message, I don’t know where else to look for any new information. Please fix these basic issues so I can amend my rating. Wix is better than this app version demonstrates.

I have an iPad Pro that can handle heavy tasks, but the app keeps forcing me to have to edit via a computer. I can’t even open safari to request a desktop page and edit my website there (which I would’ve thought would’ve been added as an option. What’s the point of the app if you can’t do anything on it. I’m giving two stars because the are like two things o liked and don’t have a month using the application, maybe the desktop interface and experience is better, but as far as this app goes, it’s too limiting and a pain to use. Matter of fact I’ll change it to one star. Squarespace is a lot easier to get started. And as a plus I can edit on a browser right on my iPad and have mobile and tablet mode I can switch through all without closing any windows. Barely using both services for a week and Wix is extremely limited when it comes to customizing a page and making out your own. Which is a shame
Does not work with laptop/main site

I have spent days trying to get any photo to upload to an album and successful only once...every other time it just hangs on 0%. The one picture I did manage to get uploaded did in fact show up in my photo album, but then it couldn’t be accessed in my media files for use elsewhere. Neither could I get it even to load to my media section. I don’t know what the disconnect is but I downloaded this app to be able to post photos and blogs from my phone/iPad, and if it can’t even manage to do that it isn’t worth the time to even download the app. The number of hours I have put into trying to make this function work is ridiculous. The help pages are woefully inadequate and when I finally reached tech support their solution was to transfer photos from my phone to my laptop and upload them from there...hardly a robust, sustainable solution. Suggest Wix remove this from App Store until they have a proven tool.
Invoicing

I really only have one complaint about the app!! I can’t send an invoice to my customer. Example- I post my product on social media with the instructions to comment their email address to be sent an invoice for products. Then I have to dry out my lap top go to the main site create an invoice and then on top of that it doesn’t take the products out of my inventory. So then I have to go into my inventory and edited it manually. It would be better if you could create an invoice from the app and be able to select the products that are being sold and have that take them out of my inventory!!! If you could add this function it would really be helpful. I am on my phone more than I am my laptop. Thank you

I love wix. They seem to have thought of everything. Just when I think I have a question they no one has possible thought of, I can google it and wix already figured it out. I really can say enough great things. Wix on mobile is great and thoughtful too! They include everything you need to do on the go like scan barcodes to send shipping confirmation emails, add a product, upload and edit pictures from your phone, get a sale in person... they’ve thought of everything really! The only thing is I wish we were able to customize the subscriber login screen but that’s really the only thing.

I’m giving this a one star, because it didn’t correctly cross sync with the website. Last evening I started a blog draft on the app, I then went to work on the draft some more the next day. Saved it. And later that evening went to continue working on it in the app only to find that it did not cross sync with the website and in turned replaced my draft to the one from the night before. I then went back to the website and to my dismay saw the older version. I just lost an hour’s worth of work and there’s currently no way for me to revert it back to the version from earlier today. Hence the one star until this is resolved. :( Also irritated that submitting a help ticket is so difficult. I don’t want to talk to a bot when I already spent 30min looking through the help forum. If I couldn’t find a solution taking 30min and browsing through the help forum, I don’t think the bot will either.
The newest update and other features

I don’t know why things were changed but on the newest update, it took away some of the chat features and it’s a little disappointing. I was able to see when a customer came on my site, the. I was able to click on the comment chat bubble to see their city and what page were they visiting on the site for analytic purposes. But after the newest update, it doesn’t show up and when I click on the chat feature, it doesn’t show the customer. And this was a big thing for my business before this newest update. Also, what will help my business is “buy now pay later” option. I can’t get that because none of the company’s work with Wix which is a huge disappointment. I really really like Wix but it’s causing me to lose money so I have to make some decisions about my website platform.
non functional.... lots of glitches for a SALON

I am a Salon owner. Small salon. I love that this app is free with my website, but sometimes it doesn't work for my clients. Every week I get a message saying “it wont let me book” “it wont let me reschedule/cancel” Sometimes it tells people that I dont have any availability. And on my end as the owner, I cannot override anything in the wix app.... I have to go to my laptop to make changes. The other issue with this app is if I block or unblock time off from the app, it will not save my changes . Another issue is clients can only pick one service/session at a time. Instead of a haircut and color they have to go back in and make ANOTHER appointment. So now I am working on a menu of combination services. Also, you can only modify time when you want to make changes to an appointment/session you can't add a service or change your mind. It would also be cool if you could text your clients a reminder text for appointments. thanks I have reached out for help but even that is ignored by WIX. I guess because it comes with the website I should be happy. I love that I dont have to send my clients to another website and competitors

I’m gonna have to agree with many others; the site is harder now to navigate. Not sure what happened to the ability to edit and port in the main site blog. I have been looking for about 30 minutes before I gave up and decided to see if you had posted info about it. All I see is a social part which makes no difference to me since it is just a portfolio site at the moment. Before I could edit my site but it seems I can only edit the test part of the site that is a book club I made just to see what it was like. I have no ability to delete it from the app. I don’t even know how anyone would ever find it on my site anyway. It’s really just supposed to be a place to write snippets of writings for the blog and writings for the main portfolio but I cannot edit either of these now. Very confused and disappointed. Not all of us want social nonsense to mire our work.

I’ve been enjoying all that comes with having a wiz website, for sure. But the app does nothing more for me than have a chat room to talk to clients who message the chat box on my website. All the other tools they advertise are cumbersome and I don’t use them/know how to use them. I don’t have a blog for my business so it’s useless. I’d much rather like to be able to edit and control my website in it’s entirety like I can from a desktop. Email marketing/editing, editing my site, and everything else. The least used tool is the blog. And since I’m moving away from desktop to an iPad Pro, it would be much appreciated if I can have full function and full reign over my wiz website editing and tools on an iPad OS interface. Even in safari I can’t edit text or delete boxes in the email campaign.

I used to be able to work from this app quite well. I had no issues of the app closing mid-listing and it uploaded all photos so well. This worked so well for me, because I mostly work form my phone. I’m not sure what happened but now my app shuts down right in the middle of a listing for my store, I have huge troubles downloading pictures, and it’s all very frustrating. It’s the most frustrating because I do pay quite a lot to use Wix for web hosting my site, and I NEED to be able to work from my phone. Can you got back to whatever was working before, because this is driving me crazy and making life harder, and sales lower because I don’t even list items in my shop anymore. I just use Etsy. If I am not using my website because it’s hard to list items, why am I even paying you guys?

I’ve been with WIX for a couple of years and am now considering switching to another host because of WIX current customer support. When I first joined it was very easy to contact someone for help on making adjustments to my website. Now they require you to submit a ticket and it’s not 24/7. It’s also hard to get to the page of even submitting a ticket. For me this is a big deal bc I like to be able to communicate clearly and efficiently and quickly. Chatting and email takes forever to resolve. My schedule is very inconsistent so I need someone there when I’m ready. I also would love to have a search engine bar on my website and WIX does not provide that layout option. Hope they can make these improvements and move forward instead of backwards.

So I’m over had not too long ago deleted the secondary wiz app where You can manage your platforms/but I went to download it again as I wanted to update photos etc and low and behold I download this imposter of an app! So disappointed! Because as a small business owners of several businesses that app allowed me to manage all my sites /blogs/chat feature/mail etc all in a place that was convenient. Boy was most platform wiz developers happy youguys came up with that. But now You have this new app that’s not even close to what is needed. Why create a forum? That’s what Facebook is literally with groups/chat with customers directly we were already able to do that before. Now it seems personal more personal than it needs to be. I mean I have been an avid user and wiz developer for more than almost 15+ years and loved the interface and accessibility and ease of the wix platform and loved where it was headed with the previous app. This app is not useful. You can’t edit your site/upload photos/nothing important to business owners who You mainly market too and WE need ease of a platform. Smh! Please please I’m begging You to fix this! It was not broken. 😳🤯😡 I’m just like I just built another site and now I’m thinking of moving to another platform. Wow! Please please put it back to how it was!

I am extremely disappointed in just how hard it is to customize my website. The app might as well not even exist because my site never loads for me to even try to edit it. I don’t like that I can’t change the colors of the templates to suit my brand’s color theme. Or, that you can’t switch things around within the layout to be where you want them, only change the layout to options that don’t really look all that great. I don’t know if it’s just because it’s on mobile, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having the app at your fingertips to be able to edit your site and still not be able to edit your site the way you need to. It’s sad to say but I left Wix because I thought the old set up was kind to work with but this is way worse, at least when I published my site before it was how I wanted it.

I love the analytics on the wix website. We track visitors from all over the world for bookings (musician website). The site on the browser is fairly accurate. But what the heck with this app???? I like that it gives me notifications when someone is on the site, but 50% of the time the location is wrong and doesn’t match the analytics on the site. Then, if you log onto the app, there is no where can you find a list of visitors. The only way I can see what page someone is on is if I happen to catch them online and open the app from the notification. Still can’t track the pages they went to, but if I’m lucky I can catch their current page. No list of daily visitors. Disappointed, because we use analytics daily for info into who is tracking emails, where requests are coming from etc. if you’d fix this and model it after your website that’d be amazing.

There was a bit of a learning curve with the new update. I run a small business that operates by appointment. I love that I can now book and edit appointments without having to input all of my client’s information and easily move appointments to different time slots or different days. I’ve been patiently waiting for this update. I’ve been a fan of wix for three years now and love the simplicity. I am always getting clients who comment on how simple it is to book online. It has definitely allowed me to focus on my work, not on the nitty gritty details like scheduling. Keep up the good work!

I downloaded this app in order to chat with potential customers online. I have a lot of issues with the “customer online” notification leading me to nothing. I always think well maybe there is an update which makes the notifications in the app work better, and maybe there is an upgrade that makes it easier to find who is currently on line...but the upgrades never fix the issue and there seems to be an upgrade almost every other day?? I use the app specifically to chat with online customers looking to place an order or get more information, and I really wish that this particular part of the app didn’t have so many issues. It should be easy to find the “customers online”

I love the Wix app, except for the MESSAGE feature. I can’t find where to turn it OFF on my mobile nor laptop on my website. I’ve called Wix to ask and was placed on hold for a ridiculous amount of time. When I have CHAT OFF, I don’t want messages to still go through my Wix app on my mobile (that defeats the purpose, to me). When I want messages to my mobile, I’d have the CHAT ON. My chat is turn off, when my schedule does not permit that “RIGHT NOW YOU ANSWER” urgency. The MESSAGE option still gives me that feeling and I can’t turn it off, like I can do the CHAT option. I have ample amount of other communication methods for my business. The MESSAGE feature is not needed for me, on my mobile app.

I understand that there are limitations on a mobile app that there aren’t when on a desktop, but my goodness. I can’t type a blog post on my phone before it stops scrolling and going back to the top. Sometimes, an idea comes to you when you’re away from a computer and you want to get it all out then. You’d think with the app you would be able to, but you can’t see anything you write past maybe one paragraph. I gave the app three stars because I could check my inbox and blog normally, but as for creating content, if you’re away from a computer jot whatever you have to say down in your notes and wait until you reach a computer because it’s almost impossible on the app.

I would give the app in general a five star if it didn’t misrepresent. When you log into the app, WIX has its “own place” front and center already by default. As a business, I don’t want to see your brand overshadowing my brand. Please make provisions where the paying customers can brand their own app without your name being so instructive. It looks more of a WIX APP instead of the client’s business app. Especially when you first log in. I want my customers to log straight into “My Place”, not yours. And please leave the decision for me to decide if I want you as a neighbor or anyone else for that matter. It’s smart that you’ve taken the opportunity to freely advertise on every business that signs up. If we pay to remove your WIX AD on our websites, shouldn’t we be afforded the same opportunity on the app?
Online Restaurant Orders

We’ve used Wix for a while now. Their online system was great until they took down their restaurants app and merged it with their Wix app. Ever since then we’ve had so many problems. The orders are always delayed, we used to immediately receive the orders our customers placed online. We’ve also had so many orders that don’t show up until we refresh it ourselves. The biggest feature missing is the option to print. Printing allows us to attach the ticket to the customers order and they can pick up the right order. It also showed us if they paid online or not. Now that feature is completely missing. All of this has caused us a great amount of trouble and embarrassment in front of our customers. Hopefully they either fix this app or let us use the old Restaurants app.

I have run my business web site using Wix for years. A couple months ago my computer completely died and after a lot of thought and discussion with Apple on the best product for me I invested in the iPad Pro. I got it home to find out that Wix cannot be used on the iPad Pro and I lost a handful of clients due to not being able to update my site. Just days after finding this out I was also charged another $153 for use of the platform, an annual fee, for a site I can no longer use. Let’s just say I am now looking for a new platform to use that supports all devices. It’s 2019 and to not be supported on an iPad is a poor business decision that will eventually be costly as Apple further upgrades their products again this year.

I’ve been using Wix for about 3 months now. Loved it! It was fabulous! I upgraded to the premium so I could take advantage of all the bells and whistles. Then, they placed an updated and now my wix is useless! My clients and I can no longer book appointments because the screen goes blank once you are on the calendar. It’s been like that for several weeks. I’m grateful that at least my current booked appointments haven’t disappeared however my clients are used to depending on this app for their scheduling needs. I’ve messaged feedback to the designers at least a dozen times with no prevail. I’m hoping this review reaches one of the designers for a fix really soon! Once it’s fixed I’d be happy to give them a 5 star.

Getting better with each update, but still needs work. This app should be in beta! Seriously, do they even test these?! When I schedule an appointment in my booking calendar, no matter what address I put in for the location, it reverts it to an address that I used previously. So now I have 3 appointments with the wrong address. Thankfully, I’m smart enough to not use this as my main calendar. But the confirmation emails are showing the wrong address. It’s also frustrating that I can’t edit the address after it’s been scheduled. I have to cancel the appointment and create a new one. I’m also still having an issue with the notification badge showing I have notifications when I have nothing when I open the app. Please fix your app!

I really wish there was an option to add product info to the ‘additional info section’ while using the mobile app. You guys only offer a description option on the app which is inconvenient for those who travel & need to add more detailed info about their store products. Whenever I’m on the go, I’m forced to post products without an info section until I’m able to make it to my desktop computer. I use this section to enter all of the important info about what I’m selling to help my customers. Aside from this the app is functional - I’m able to edit all other fields on the mobile app. Please consider adding this feature in the near future. Thanks.

So far, I’ve been thrilled, then disappointed, then exhilarated, then exhausted. It’s like they have too many irons in the fire. I will save a complete review for after I *try* to give them the benefit of the doubt... Again. It wouldn't be so bad that this app just WON'T do anything... Like, at all... Except for the bait and switch they got me with when I bought the premium plan and suddenly all the extras were Removed because I went monthly instead of yearly. Didn't see anything about a difference until money was about to be spent. Of course, I could have missed something, but 30 years in marketing usually means they tried REEEEAAAALLY hard to not make it obvious. I just left one GoDaddy after years, because of this stuff... Dont have me tell another... "You can GO top, daddio." (That was wordplay. You're welcome.)

The app itself is useful for receiving customer chat notifications on your phone and being able to respond quickly. That’s about it. Everything else never loads and you can’t access anything. Also be wary of having your company’s site through wix in the first place of you need to use Wixpayments for processing. Customer service for Wixpayments is well below par. They also randomly deactivate your account for various reasons and find excuses to hold on to your money. When they do activate your account they will make your next transfer date weeks out instead of making an ach payment every Monday as their site states. Just long enough for them to randomly deactivate your account again and take 7 business days to get back to you. Total nightmare!

Everything is nice, the interface could use slight improvements & I don’t feel you should be forced to have a live chat inside the app if you don’t want it or if the site already provides it. A few months ago it was easier to access my Blog page and Add/Delete Blog Posts along with Editing them, nowadays it creates a whole entire new blog system in the app which doesn’t make sense since it isn’t a continuation off the one on my Wix Premium Website. Most importantly, it would be nice to incorporate a Mobile Editor so you can customize the actual website on the phone and not limited to it on a PC.

I’ve been using this app since they kind of force it on you when you try to access the desktop site on a mobile device. It is convenient in a lot of ways but the fact that you can’t print an order form from the mobile app is ridiculous. I like to include copies of each order when I ship out packages and each time I have to log into the computer just to do it. In the age of air print and all. I hope there’s a fix. And customer service is horrendous. The hoops to jump through just to talk to a person only to be told at the end that support is unavailable and you should check back in 10 minutes...EVERYTIME!

I’m pretty sad and upset with the new WIX app.... it’s like a completely different app then before, not user friendly, I can’t find my products and orders as easily as before. Pretty much every single thing that what somewhat easily accessed through the WIX app before is just horrible now...... I’m also not happy at all with the mobile version of the websites. 97% if my customers shop on their phones and this is HUGE. It needs to look a lot more like the desktop site! I spent SO much time on a beautiful site only to have to scroll for hours on each page via mobile site. Other people have beautiful mobile sites. This should be an easy fix. We should be able to edit more of it... instead of it being so SIMPLE... lame. If these aren’t fixed soon I’ll be fully exploring other sites....

This app is useless when it comes to writing/editing your blog. I’m surprised that in this day and age I still have to tied to my desktop to post. It’s super frustration and I am deeply disappointed. Currently when I go to edit a post, it gives me a message that says “Limited editing options” that takes up 1/4 of the screen. Between the keyboard and this not helpful message, I have access to about an inch of my screen. Then when I try to edit, I make one keyboard stroke and it send me to the bottom of my post. I have to scroll back to where I was. The same thing happens for a new post. Useless and limiting! I have no idea how the other features work on this app but I’m not keen to find out. Being able to blog on my phone is super important and this app disappoints.

I use wix for my blog... and the mobile app is garbage. I’ve removed it from my phone a number of times after downloading because it’s nearly useless. After downloading this most recent time, I was rather impressed with the seemingly updated features. I decided to start a blog post within the app and it seems to have the same flawed feature as the website does at times. Once you get the page full of content: if it needs to expand, it doesn’t! You can scroll to the bottom only to be bumped back to the top as soon as you start typing, so there is no way to see the words. VERY FRUSTATING!!!!! Wix may be “free” for those of us who use the service as a hobby but it is becoming my least favorite. I won’t be using it once I decide to upgrade, that’s for sure.

As a website builder, Wix is really great. It’s easy to learn and it’s very customizable. I’ve been using it since 2017. However, the app does nothing for me, at least at this time on iPad. I downloaded it because my laptop broke a few months ago so all I have right now are my iPad and phone. You can’t edit from a mobile browser and now I can’t edit in the app. I’m not asking to do any major reorganizing, I just have some text I need to update, prices, and maybe upload some new photos to my gallery. But the only thing the wix app is currently capable of is checking on social and message notifications (which I have social apps and notifs for so don’t need that) and there is a blog manager. So if I was just managing a blog this would probably be fine. But I’m screwed right now because my desktop has been out of commission, and yeah, public computers still not available due to covid so can’t even go to the library to get stuff done. I truly can’t wait until I’m proven wrong here so I can raise my rating. And if I’m wrong now and just stupid and missing something, please help!

If a user defames and libels someone, and posts false information WIX will not remove said information, or the website per their own rules. If the person the wixs user is defaming has proof WIX still will not remove the false information. This is how cyberbullies get away with all the things they do, companies like WIX.

I have an iPad Pro that can handle heavy tasks, but the app keeps forcing me to have to edit via a computer. I can’t even open safari to request a desktop page and edit my website there (which I would’ve thought would’ve been added as an option. What’s the point of the app if you can’t do anything on it. I’m giving two stars because the are like two things o liked and don’t have a month using the application, maybe the desktop interface and experience is better, but as far as this app goes, it’s too limiting and a pain to use. Matter of fact I’ll change it to one star. Squarespace is a lot easier to get started. And as a plus I can edit on a browser right on my iPad and have mobile and tablet mode I can switch through all without closing any windows. Barely using both services for a week and Wix is extremely limited when it comes to customizing a page and making out your own. Which is a shame

I have spent days trying to get any photo to upload to an album and successful only once...every other time it just hangs on 0%. The one picture I did manage to get uploaded did in fact show up in my photo album, but then it couldn’t be accessed in my media files for use elsewhere. Neither could I get it even to load to my media section. I don’t know what the disconnect is but I downloaded this app to be able to post photos and blogs from my phone/iPad, and if it can’t even manage to do that it isn’t worth the time to even download the app. The number of hours I have put into trying to make this function work is ridiculous. The help pages are woefully inadequate and when I finally reached tech support their solution was to transfer photos from my phone to my laptop and upload them from there...hardly a robust, sustainable solution. Suggest Wix remove this from App Store until they have a proven tool.

I love the website. Very easy to use but the app is pointless for me. It has my blog on it but doesn’t show my pages which are literally the whole point. I’m an amateur photographer who set this website up to display a portfolio but the portfolio pages don’t show up on the app. Their customer support doesn’t seem to know how to help either. *edit to add: based on your response, you didn’t actually read what I wrote. I did contact support. THEY HAVEN’T HELPED.

I used their website for a while thinking it is easy and cool. It was much later i found out that websites built on wix do not index and rate well in Google. Also their mobile website version does not work often requiring tweaks , I lost business because of being stuck with wix. In case you did not, this is an Israeli company not an American company.

Fantastic App and Website Builder! App and website are integrated! Imagine that!! Makes life so much easier. Much more intuitive than Shopify. I hope the add more analytics (or maybe I don’t know how to find them yet, still learning). So far, I’ve done everything on my phone! Very happy so far and the price can’t be beat! I love the ease of use for keeping track of my orders but Wix has to grow wit the times. People are using afterpay and Quadpay more and more now but wiz doesn’t have this integration available for ya business customers. Come on Wix!

I’m giving this a one star, because it didn’t correctly cross sync with the website. Last evening I started a blog draft on the app, I then went to work on the draft some more the next day. Saved it. And later that evening went to continue working on it in the app only to find that it did not cross sync with the website and in turned replaced my draft to the one from the night before. I then went back to the website and to my dismay saw the older version. I just lost an hour’s worth of work and there’s currently no way for me to revert it back to the version from earlier today. Hence the one star until this is resolved. :( Also irritated that submitting a help ticket is so difficult. I don’t want to talk to a bot when I already spent 30min looking through the help forum. If I couldn’t find a solution taking 30min and browsing through the help forum, I don’t think the bot will either.

My local gym is using the wix app to sign up for classes but I cannot create an account due to the password reset link being broken. It has the correct email address and says it has sent a confirmation email but, alas, none have come through. And yes, I’ve checked the spam/junk/trash folders about a billion times. Would love to get in touch with Wix for help but there is no email contact, just a useless FAQ. It’s been a ton of frustration and annoyance so far. Would not recommend.

I got this app so I could respond to the costumers that we’re trying to get in touch with me but I never seem to be able to. When I get emails that I have messages and I go in the app to respond, the app says I have no messages. It doesn’t allow me to answer any questions at all.

The app is pretty useless if you can only manage some of your websites. Since you cannot manage a website from a mobile device without the app, you’re forced to use a desktop. Absolutely terrible app!

This app stinks. I’ve been trying to load media from my phone and it locks up. In order to try again, I have to close it out, reopen only to have the same thing happen. I had tried to choose a different template, was charged for it as well as another premium site and they denied me a refund. I agree with other users that this is a scam. Would give it zero stars if I could. I’m sure they will copy and paste the same response as everyone else has gotten! 👎🏻

I’ve found especially when creating text posts, the default mobile autocorrect, auto cap/uppercase, and predictive features are really messed up. Also if I accidentally click out of the text box while typing a post, the entirety of the posts content will disappear and be unrecoverable. Also I find that the website Wix in general is extremely busy, there are too many tips or suggestions. I know what I want to do with my website, so please back off. Honestly considering finding a different website to use.

I love connecting with fans and all the customization features available. Keep updating and fixing the few bugs that are there and the other thing I would recommend is having a dark mode or an option to change the background color.

I made a new blog post draft in the app the other day. Yesterday I opened the post on my computer and did a ton of writing and editing in it. Today I opened the post in the app. None of my edits from yesterday were there. I pull the blog post draft up on my PC an hour later and all my work from yesterday are deleted from there too. Just an empty draft like what was in the app. An entire days worth of work lost because this app doesn’t actually sync anything.

Wix is not user-friendly at all. Wix is not responsive and my website loads so slow. Wix does not offer any statistics. The Wix marketplace offers absolutely nothing of value. The Wix support team is not responsive at all. Wix is so expensive and it is an absolute scam. If you are looking to create a website, please do not choose this platform. You will be disappointed!

We paid extra for our plan to be able to use wix hotels, yet we can’t use wix payments with wix hotels. We also have to pay extra for a channel manager that doesn’t work properly instead of wix allowing iCal link exports like almost all other booking services. Wix... the nickel and dime web host.

So, first, I use it on a computer. Now, it is a very easy and simple way to make a website, the only let down is that with adds, you can make money, but you have to spend money for the premium plan, instead of just having it take a bit of the money you make from adds, unless you have premium.

I used to have no problems with this app on my phone. For the past 4 months, when someone comes to my website and I click on the notification, nothing shows up in the app. I have to go back to my messages screen, wait for the green bar to pop up at the bottom, then click on it to see where the person is on my website. It’s so annoying. I have deleted and redownloaded the app multiple times but nothing has helped.

This platform always has bugs always has problems. I can never run my business smoothly because wix is always having a problem with something. Right now my invoices won’t print correctly. It won’t print any of the items my customers order and I have to manually write them it’s so annoying and time consuming. They don’t break down your analytics without you paying extra.

Even the online editing is frustrating with all of the moveable elements (working on a touch screen) but way better than this app.

First of all, wix for a website creator is a terrible choice because they, on their mobile website don’t allow you to select a template. Also to get SEO you HAVE TO upgrade! I mean common! This app is terrible, so hard to figure out what to do, basically can only post some weird stuff for people who join my group (?????????), and basically can’t edit my site. HORRIBLE! I do not recommend anybody to use this site! It all started with them verifying my account. It was supposed to take up to 5-7 business days but took wayyyyy longer. I called customer service everyday for 2 weeks asking them and they didn’t know anything and kept telling me they have to send it to another department. After about 2 weeks I get an email for the verification department basically saying my website didn’t comply with standards when they most definitely did (I sell clothes). So they closed my account (meaning they could refund all my customers their money AFTER I already had sent the merchandise to them) I made $1,100 dollars within one week and if they refund all the customers I will sue and take this to small claim court. Customer service is horrible and they don’t know anything, also they take forever to email you back or get to you. If there was zero stars that’s what I would do. I don’t recommend this site to anyone!

The app is catered to more of inviting people to join the wix app and if your a restaurant owner you know customers only care about being able to order food the easiest way possible and wix pushes inviting ppl to join the app. We need more features for restaurants.

The app update is very nice, I must say the app is faster and it has not crashed while I have been using it. But the only downside is that my logo won’t load! It says that it has loaded but when I press save, my logo is not there! I have tried this multiple times and it still won’t save. I have contacted wix support and they still haven’t got back to me. As a paid customer I must say I am very dissatisfied with the customer support!

Before they put new and confusing plans that were expensive but now I think they removed it or updated it. I hope Wix never goes away because my website is constantly changing and I need to add a lot of stuff on there. I know Wix is super easy but they should put a live chat option for people to contact them in the future. I hope Wix will continue to be in business and improve their website builder for their consumers. To be honest, this is my favorite website builder. Keep it up! Thank you Wix team!

This app is very good for helping me manage my bakery. It helps me keep track of orders and customers. But it’s only gets three stars because the tech support is atrocious. When the app decides NOT to work, and NOT to send me notifications, I miss orders. That’s terrible for business. When I troubleshoot and it doesn’t work, the next logical step is to reach out to tech support. I spent 48 minutes on the phone. Half the time was spent on hold, the other half was spent just trying to get the support employee to understand what my problem is, which takes a very long time with people who don’t speak English. My problem didn’t get resolved, after all that time on the phone I was told “it must be a glitch” (yea, you don’t say), and that someone would get back to me later. I didn’t receive an email back until three whole days later, and the email was simply a screenshot of how to turn on notifications. As if I’m so stupid that after three days I wouldn’t consider that maybe notifications wasn’t turned on. Horrible customer service y’all. Really bad.

What’s to say, I wouldn’t have the Empire if it weren’t for Wix. In and of itself is phenomenal, cannot even comment on simplicity of use, integrations, and activity on apps and across devices. I started my business officially some twenty years ago. Since it and I have gone through many growing pains. Wix has been with us all the while. When working with an app related to your business, typically you need as much assistance as possible. I find it very challenging to get in touch with someone regarding technical issues when needed. I love the app and the intended access given to many site features. But, when something goes wrong we need an instant chat or number to dial for assistance. Other than that it’s great!

Online Restaurant Orders

We’ve used Wix for a while now. Their online system was great until they took down their restaurants app and merged it with their Wix app. Ever since then we’ve had so many problems. The orders are always delayed, we used to immediately receive the orders our customers placed online. We’ve also had so many orders that don’t show up until we refresh it ourselves. The biggest feature missing is the option to print. Printing allows us to attach the ticket to the customers order and they can pick up the right order. It also showed us if they paid online or not. Now that feature is completely missing. All of this has caused us a great amount of trouble and embarrassment in front of our customers. Hopefully they either fix this app or let us use the old Restaurants app.

So far, I’ve been thrilled, then disappointed, then exhilarated, then exhausted. It’s like they have too many irons in the fire. I will save a complete review for after I *try* to give them the benefit of the doubt... Again. It wouldn't be so bad that this app just WON'T do anything... Like, at all... Except for the bait and switch they got me with when I bought the premium plan and suddenly all the extras were Removed because I went monthly instead of yearly. Didn't see anything about a difference until money was about to be spent. Of course, I could have missed something, but 30 years in marketing usually means they tried REEEEAAAALLY hard to not make it obvious. I just left one GoDaddy after years, because of this stuff... Dont have me tell another... "You can GO top, daddio." (That was wordplay. You're welcome.)

I downloaded this app in order to chat with potential customers online. I have a lot of issues with the “customer online” notification leading me to nothing. I always think well maybe there is an update which makes the notifications in the app work better, and maybe there is an upgrade that makes it easier to find who is currently on line...but the upgrades never fix the issue and there seems to be an upgrade almost every other day?? I use the app specifically to chat with online customers looking to place an order or get more information, and I really wish that this particular part of the app didn’t have so many issues. It should be easy to find the “customers online”

This site/app worked well until our business grew to over 4 customers a month, then it lagged and crashed often. The App will no longer let us access our company page, nor will it let us upload any images for our site. Add to that you cannot get in touch with anyone at Wix for any help. If you value the success of your business and want help when you need it, I highly recommend any other company.

We’ve been using Wix for a while, and it’s been very inconsistent. Most recently it’s stopped notifying us through emails that we are receiving bookings. The only way I saw that we were booked yesterday is that I just happened to check the app when I used it to book an appointment. I’ve been missing messages from my clients, and the therapists I have working with us are no longer getting these notifications through email. It’s very important that we receive these bc the app does not send them to my therapist when I book it through the app or from my desk top. So now I’m calling or texting my employees every time I find a booking. I’m exhausted from trying to get a call back because they never call me when I request it. So this review is my last attempt at getting help. Small businesses like ours don’t have time to be glued to a computer all day hoping for a real human to finally respond to them.
Inspiring but one big minus

I started using Wix a month ago. Within a few days of playing with it I upgraded so I could have my own domain name and more features, and access to images, etc. Wix is very user friendly both on your computer and the app allows you to do a lot too while keeping an uncluttered look. (Perhaps most amazing is the AI assistant you use on your computer—after doing a short questionnaire about you needs and wants, it whips up a website for you. Frankly I was amazed at what it came up with for me, beautifully designed. You can then do a lot of customization. The more customization you do, the more learning curve. But I’ve been so inspired, I’ve been playing with it a lot. I downloaded the app; it too is to super easy to use with attractive design. Thanks for the blog manager! BUT...here’s the thing: I went to use the app on my iPad Pro and, well, there is no app for the iPad Pro! I was stunned and disappointed. It’s not like the Pro came out yesterday. The Pro would make the perfect work space for Wix—more design features would be possible than with phone app. You could then have pretty full featured Wix app on the go. Please tell me an iPad Pro app will soon be available?!

I have two sites with Wix. With the older one, I am able to reply directly to comments. But with the newer version, I can not. I just want to know who thought it was a great idea to take away the joy of no longer being able to engage with people who are subscribed to your site. Literally, what is the point of having a website where engagement and discussions are encouraged but you can’t even address each person as individuals. I’m incredibly upset and disappointed. With the money I’ve spent to build these sites, it’s heartbreaking to think that you no longer find it important to give people a voice on a website they pay just to be able to have that platform to interact with others. It’s a waste of time, money, and effort if all people can do is look and scroll but can’t even reply back to one another. Never thought I would have regrets with this site but I certainly do now. Not sure who the creative mind was behind it but they certainly didn’t consider the things people loved and made them want to go with Wix to begin with. Why over complicate? Are we not tired of experiencing this feeling. Simplicity is bliss. Now we’re just lost. Whoever the team was before, bring them back. Either make it better or leave it as is.
Nobody Will Respond To My Questions

So at first I loved the app. It was simple to use. I answered all of the surveys with thoughtful insights. I started earning cash and even started getting value surveys, which pay a little more than the regular ones. I haven’t won any of the big payments but I was fine with working my way up. Well I finally hit a little over $10, which is the minimum to cash out but it’s been almost a week and I still haven’t received my payment. So I tried emailing this company over and over again but nobody will respond and I have no idea how to get a hold of customer service. It took a lot of time and effort on my end to get up to $10 doing little $.15-.$25 surveys and would like to get my cash especially since I’m unemployed at the moment and Christmas is about to arrive. This app would be great and I would totally recommend it if they would be available to assist the people who took the time to complete their surveys. Don’t download this app if you are not okay with wasting your time. I use several other apps to make a little cash until I find a job and I always received payment within two to three days in my PayPal account. I’m highly disappointed!

I use Wix for my salon booking appointments. I recently got a suggestion from Wix suggesting that my clients download the app. Now before when my clients would book online I could see everything their name,number, an email an services that they were booking for. Now when they book with the app it doesn’t have the clients name or number. Just the service their getting an email. In the booking part it only shows service. I don’t even see or know who I am servicing. So I don’t know who I’m about to give service too. Although emails are fine I mostly contact my clients by phone. I will not be suggesting for my clients to use the app until it gives me more information on my end about the clients an their appointment. As for now I will continue to lead my clients to the website to book their appointments. Also I had only one conflict where my client scheduled an appointment it gave me the wrong time that she scheduled for. It was an whole hour difference. Her appointment was at 3:30 pm an her confirmation told her the same. But on my notification calendar it said 4:30 pm . I hope this doesn’t happen again. It was an inconvenience for us both to have different times.

When I first started using this app I really like it, now it’s becoming a annoyance and inconvenience with the problems that come with it. I blocked out last month when I needed a break for working and it would not let me unblock so I couldn’t use the app, I even emailed and received a response saying someone will get back to me but no one did. I just had to wait until my block was over for my clients to schedule. It is now a month later I’m trying to block off a certain time and it’s practically doing the same thing but this time I need a special time blocked every week and it’s not even acknowledging it. It’s still showing my entire schedule is available even when I uncheck the Wednesday box that whole day is still available to book. Another thing is when my client go to styles the pic is cut off it would be great if I continue to keep the app if you could show the full picture that would be great. Other than that i haven’t had problems but those are major problems and could affect my client relationship.

I’ve been using Wix for 5 years now. The app has been incredibly helpful in managing my therapy private practice. I was able to easily see my bookings calendar and schedule appointments for my clients. After the new update, it is incredibly difficult to find my bookings calendar. One page title “my bookings” says that I have no appointments, and then redirects me to another page that shows how many appointments I actually have for the week. It used to be very easy to see my calendar - one click and I’m there. Now I have to click through pages and pages to find my appointments. I don’t know why that changed! Another problem I have with the app is that it constantly gets stuck showing all of my notifications. The app will say I have three notifications, so I’m thinking I have three appointments. I click into the app and go from page to page to find nothing. I mark all of my alerts as “read” and close out of the app - it still says I have three notifications. I can understand that any big app update can have bugs, but I don’t think the development of the most recent app had small businesses in mind.

This app is very good for helping me manage my bakery. It helps me keep track of orders and customers. But it’s only gets three stars because the tech support is atrocious. When the app decides NOT to work, and NOT to send me notifications, I miss orders. That’s terrible for business. When I troubleshoot and it doesn’t work, the next logical step is to reach out to tech support. I spent 48 minutes on the phone. Half the time was spent on hold, the other half was spent just trying to get the support employee to understand what my problem is, which takes a very long time with people who don’t speak English. My problem didn’t get resolved, after all that time on the phone I was told “it must be a glitch” (yea, you don’t say), and that someone would get back to me later. I didn’t receive an email back until three whole days later, and the email was simply a screenshot of how to turn on notifications. As if I’m so stupid that after three days I wouldn’t consider that maybe notifications wasn’t turned on. Horrible customer service y’all. Really bad.

I don’t even know where to begin. I made my business and I can’t believe how easy it was. This is the best website maker EVER!!! It has a lot of features and templates. Did I mention a lot of them are FREE!!!!!!!?? Definitely get this app if you have a business that you are starting and needs a website. I love all of the product options. I can put what sizes you can chose from when you are getting a product and you can put the colors of the product that you can chose from. It also comes with pictures to design your website with. Even though not all of the pictures are free, I still find it really cool. When I was making my website, it was really fun! I really want to pay for the Memberships, but I don’t have the money. This app I would recommend. 5/5 stars.

I have been testing and exploring using the one mobile/Wix app for months. When I first started I didn’t roll it out because there wasn’t the capability to monitor who joins our community and how. Now there is and when COVID hit, I thought, the app is a perfect solution for our growing community of 1300+. But I’ve not been able to launch because for over two weeks now, we have not been able to get the “groups” feature to work—it doesn’t show up on member pages for some odd reason and WIX hasn’t been able to resolve things. It’s been extremely frustrating. They are seemingly elevating the issue now but it took a good 1 1/2 weeks for me to not have to re-explain the issue all over, provide all of the same information, etc with new people each time. Yet still, I don’t have any answers or a solution and we are in our third week! Has anyone else run into issues with “groups?” I’d rather Wix remove the option of having them if they can’t get them to work altogether.

As a website builder, Wix is really great. It’s easy to learn and it’s very customizable. I’ve been using it since 2017. However, the app does nothing for me, at least at this time on iPad. I downloaded it because my laptop broke a few months ago so all I have right now are my iPad and phone. You can’t edit from a mobile browser and now I can’t edit in the app. I’m not asking to do any major reorganizing, I just have some text I need to update, prices, and maybe upload some new photos to my gallery. But the only thing the wix app is currently capable of is checking on social and message notifications (which I have social apps and notifs for so don’t need that) and there is a blog manager. So if I was just managing a blog this would probably be fine. But I’m screwed right now because my desktop has been out of commission, and yeah, public computers still not available due to covid so can’t even go to the library to get stuff done. I truly can’t wait until I’m proven wrong here so I can raise my rating. And if I’m wrong now and just stupid and missing something, please help!
Mobile view lacking

I find it completely absurd that after all this time, we still can’t customize the mobile view. 75%+ of my visitors are using mobile devices and they need to scroll down pages and pages of full size photos to see what they want. Would it be so difficult to just give us two columns?! A grid to make viewing easier?! I’m sure I’m losing sales this way as the average visitor will lose patience. Also, they click on a product and see the title in humongous letters and a teeny tiny product photo. Can’t edit that either. There are a few other things that are absurdly behind the times like the tax setup. You can’t separate by category. So it’s completely inefficient/useless unless you only sell ONE type of product. You should at least be able to compartmentalize by collection. That way I could make jewelry taxable and other items non-taxable. They need to work on this; tax is a huge deal. Meanwhile I stay because it’s easiest to customize my site with their editor. Did not like Shopify’s editor at all.

App still not blog friendly. Cannot manipulate photos with the blog or access photos that have already been uploaded. Feedback Based on Update from Wix (below): 1) It would be nice to be able to do more than type up a blog on my mobile device. The app allows you to embed photos, but does not position the photo correctly in the blog or allow the user to manipulate the size or location. A problem for most blogs. 2) Wix failed to address the lack of functionality on iPad. Even in portrait mode it only opens one way on the screen (flip it over and you get an upside down app - very funny). With nearly 81 million iPad users, it might be worthwhile to fix it. Update: Feedback from WIX team: Thanks for sharing your feedback. The Wix Mobile App lets you manage your site and business (store, blog, hotel or booking system) directly from your mobile device. You can also engage with your customers on the Engage tab. Wix was relatively easy....but very time consuming. I was able to get my site up in just 2 days (about 4 hours the 1st day and maybe 6 hours the 2nd day) part of that time was spent creating the privacy policy and my first Facebook business page and 1st FB ad that people can click and be directed to my Wix page. I just want customer service to be here for me when I hit road blocks....as I tried building a page with a different company, with Ipage years ago, then I had to buy a domain on godaddy, then I had to get a business email with Gmail.....sooo convoluted. Wix allows customers to send me emails, allows bookings, perfect for my business. Only one complaint, the hone page contact form doesn’t have a spot for a customer to input their phone number.

Wix authorizes my account to accept credit card payments using the new Wix payment method. After 45 days and selling over $10,000 worth of products, I realized Wix had not paid me a single penny. The un authorized my account. Its been 75 days now, and I still have not got a penny from them. I had to shut down my site. Move it to a new platform and launch my site. I then had to call over 100 customers. Refund them. Wait five days, and they send them a new invoice to pay. It caused me to lose 14 days of work. I was only able to recover $7000 of the $10,000. They have responded to 3 emails out of the 25 I have sent in the last 45 days. Their phone support team says the department which handles this issue does not have phone support and that I just need to wait five days for them to re-verify my account. If you want the slowest responsive website ever with the worst customer support in the world, use Wix. They will not disappoint you when it comes to letting you down!

I’m usually a little hesitant with some apps because they aren’t worth the time. However, I decided to go ahead with this app since I have all the other things connected under the premium account. I had just downloaded the app, logged in and on the computer side was doing some back end adjustments when a notification popped up that someone was on my site, what page, and for how long. OMGoodness. Blown away! I said to myself, “ain’t no way..” so me being me, published my background edits and went on the site live and BOOM! Notification pops up on que. Haven’t even explored the entire app yet but I’m excited for now and the improvements that will come for this app. Wix have continued to improve year after year. Keep it up!

I absolutely love Wix. I enjoy maneuvering though the site... The ability to edit easily, the options offered, as well as the fundamental straightforwardness the site offers. I ENJOY this compared to the many other sites out there. Now I have the functionality through my phone..?!?!?!! GREAT! This is the reason I ONLY prefer wix. Seriously, I have been able to create beautiful sites, editing has been easy and exciting... Wix is VERY INNOVATIVE! I enjoy all this site and the team behind this amazing site. You are always allowing us to grow with you by offering ways we can grow. I encourage all to use Wix bcz they are innovative and amazing. I love wix for our websites - so easy to build beautiful websites. And the previous app version, while limited in capabilities, was very simple to navigate and intuitive. However, this new version - while it clearly has expanded capabilities (the reason I have two stars instead of one) - it falls short on the basics. I see a badge that I have a new notification and two things have happened on separate occasions: 1. I have a new message from my website contact form that I cannot access, because although I can see a preview of the first line in my notifications list, tapping on it won’t open it, or 2. I have no idea what the notification is about, because once I’ve opened the app, and discovered there’s no new message, I don’t know where else to look for any new information. Please fix these basic issues so I can amend my rating. Wix is better than this app version demonstrates.

I have an iPad Pro that can handle heavy tasks, but the app keeps forcing me to have to edit via a computer. I can’t even open safari to request a desktop page and edit my website there (which I would’ve thought would’ve been added as an option. What’s the point of the app if you can’t do anything on it. I’m giving two stars because the are like two things o liked and don’t have a month using the application, maybe the desktop interface and experience is better, but as far as this app goes, it’s too limiting and a pain to use. Matter of fact I’ll change it to one star. Squarespace is a lot easier to get started. And as a plus I can edit on a browser right on my iPad and have mobile and tablet mode I can switch through all without closing any windows. Barely using both services for a week and Wix is extremely limited when it comes to customizing a page and making out your own. Which is a shame

I have spent days trying to get any photo to upload to an album and successful only once...every other time it just hangs on 0%. The one picture I did manage to get uploaded did in fact show up in my photo album, but then it couldn’t be accessed in my media files for use elsewhere. Neither could I get it even to load to my media section. I don’t know what the disconnect is but I downloaded this app to be able to post photos and blogs from my phone/iPad, and if it can’t even manage to do that it isn’t worth the time to even download the app. The number of hours I have put into trying to make this function work is ridiculous. The help pages are woefully inadequate and when I finally reached tech support their solution was to transfer photos from my phone to my laptop and upload them from there...hardly a robust, sustainable solution. Suggest Wix remove this from App Store until they have a proven tool.
Invoicing

I really only have one complaint about the app!! I can’t send an invoice to my customer. Example- I post my product on social media with the instructions to comment their email address to be sent an invoice for products. Then I have to dry out my lap top go to the main site create an invoice and then on top of that it doesn’t take the products out of my inventory. So then I have to go into my inventory and edited it manually. It would be better if you could create an invoice from the app and be able to select the products that are being sold and have that take them out of my inventory!!! If you could add this function it would really be helpful. I am on my phone more than I am my laptop. Thank you

I love wix. They seem to have thought of everything. Just when I think I have a question they no one has possible thought of, I can google it and wix already figured it out. I really can say enough great things. Wix on mobile is great and thoughtful too! They include everything you need to do on the go like scan barcodes to send shipping confirmation emails, add a product, upload and edit pictures from your phone, get a sale in person... they’ve thought of everything really! The only thing is I wish we were able to customize the subscriber login screen but that’s really the only thing.

I’m giving this a one star, because it didn’t correctly cross sync with the website. Last evening I started a blog draft on the app, I then went to work on the draft some more the next day. Saved it. And later that evening went to continue working on it in the app only to find that it did not cross sync with the website and in turned replaced my draft to the one from the night before. I then went back to the website and to my dismay saw the older version. I just lost an hour’s worth of work and there’s currently no way for me to revert it back to the version from earlier today. Hence the one star until this is resolved. :( Also irritated that submitting a help ticket is so difficult. I don’t want to talk to a bot when I already spent 30min looking through the help forum. If I couldn’t find a solution taking 30min and browsing through the help forum, I don’t think the bot will either.
The newest update and other features

I don’t know why things were changed but on the newest update, it took away some of the chat features and it’s a little disappointing. I was able to see when a customer came on my site, the. I was able to click on the comment chat bubble to see their city and what page were they visiting on the site for analytic purposes. But after the newest update, it doesn’t show up and when I click on the chat feature, it doesn’t show the customer. And this was a big thing for my business before this newest update. Also, what will help my business is “buy now pay later” option. I can’t get that because none of the company’s work with Wix which is a huge disappointment. I really really like Wix but it’s causing me to lose money so I have to make some decisions about my website platform.

I am a Salon owner. Small salon. I love that this app is free with my website, but sometimes it doesn't work for my clients. Every week I get a message saying “it wont let me book” “it wont let me reschedule/cancel” Sometimes it tells people that I dont have any availability. And on my end as the owner, I cannot override anything in the wix app.... I have to go to my laptop to make changes. The other issue with this app is if I block or unblock time off from the app, it will not save my changes . Another issue is clients can only pick one service/session at a time. Instead of a haircut and color they have to go back in and make ANOTHER appointment. So now I am working on a menu of combination services. Also, you can only modify time when you want to make changes to an appointment/session you can't add a service or change your mind. It would also be cool if you could text your clients a reminder text for appointments. thanks I have reached out for help but even that is ignored by WIX. I guess because it comes with the website I should be happy. I love that I dont have to send my clients to another website and competitors

I’m gonna have to agree with many others; the site is harder now to navigate. Not sure what happened to the ability to edit and port in the main site blog. I have been looking for about 30 minutes before I gave up and decided to see if you had posted info about it. All I see is a social part which makes no difference to me since it is just a portfolio site at the moment. Before I could edit my site but it seems I can only edit the test part of the site that is a book club I made just to see what it was like. I have no ability to delete it from the app. I don’t even know how anyone would ever find it on my site anyway. It’s really just supposed to be a place to write snippets of writings for the blog and writings for the main portfolio but I cannot edit either of these now. Very confused and disappointed. Not all of us want social nonsense to mire our work.

I’ve been enjoying all that comes with having a wiz website, for sure. But the app does nothing more for me than have a chat room to talk to clients who message the chat box on my website. All the other tools they advertise are cumbersome and I don’t use them/know how to use them. I don’t have a blog for my business so it’s useless. I’d much rather like to be able to edit and control my website in it’s entirety like I can from a desktop. Email marketing/editing, editing my site, and everything else. The least used tool is the blog. And since I’m moving away from desktop to an iPad Pro, it would be much appreciated if I can have full function and full reign over my wiz website editing and tools on an iPad OS interface. Even in safari I can’t edit text or delete boxes in the email campaign.

I used to be able to work from this app quite well. I had no issues of the app closing mid-listing and it uploaded all photos so well. This worked so well for me, because I mostly work form my phone. I’m not sure what happened but now my app shuts down right in the middle of a listing for my store, I have huge troubles downloading pictures, and it’s all very frustrating. It’s the most frustrating because I do pay quite a lot to use Wix for web hosting my site, and I NEED to be able to work from my phone. Can you got back to whatever was working before, because this is driving me crazy and making life harder, and sales lower because I don’t even list items in my shop anymore. I just use Etsy. If I am not using my website because it’s hard to list items, why am I even paying you guys?

I’ve been with WIX for a couple of years and am now considering switching to another host because of WIX current customer support. When I first joined it was very easy to contact someone for help on making adjustments to my website. Now they require you to submit a ticket and it’s not 24/7. It’s also hard to get to the page of even submitting a ticket. For me this is a big deal bc I like to be able to communicate clearly and efficiently and quickly. Chatting and email takes forever to resolve. My schedule is very inconsistent so I need someone there when I’m ready. I also would love to have a search engine bar on my website and WIX does not provide that layout option. Hope they can make these improvements and move forward instead of backwards.

So I’m over had not too long ago deleted the secondary wiz app where You can manage your platforms/but I went to download it again as I wanted to update photos etc and low and behold I download this imposter of an app! So disappointed! Because as a small business owners of several businesses that app allowed me to manage all my sites /blogs/chat feature/mail etc all in a place that was convenient. Boy was most platform wiz developers happy youguys came up with that. But now You have this new app that’s not even close to what is needed. Why create a forum? That’s what Facebook is literally with groups/chat with customers directly we were already able to do that before. Now it seems personal more personal than it needs to be. I mean I have been an avid user and wiz developer for more than almost 15+ years and loved the interface and accessibility and ease of the wix platform and loved where it was headed with the previous app. This app is not useful. You can’t edit your site/upload photos/nothing important to business owners who You mainly market too and WE need ease of a platform. Smh! Please please I’m begging You to fix this! It was not broken. 😳🤯😡 I’m just like I just built another site and now I’m thinking of moving to another platform. Wow! Please please put it back to how it was!

I am extremely disappointed in just how hard it is to customize my website. The app might as well not even exist because my site never loads for me to even try to edit it. I don’t like that I can’t change the colors of the templates to suit my brand’s color theme. Or, that you can’t switch things around within the layout to be where you want them, only change the layout to options that don’t really look all that great. I don’t know if it’s just because it’s on mobile, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having the app at your fingertips to be able to edit your site and still not be able to edit your site the way you need to. It’s sad to say but I left Wix because I thought the old set up was kind to work with but this is way worse, at least when I published my site before it was how I wanted it.
Not great for analytics

I love the analytics on the wix website. We track visitors from all over the world for bookings (musician website). The site on the browser is fairly accurate. But what the heck with this app???? I like that it gives me notifications when someone is on the site, but 50% of the time the location is wrong and doesn’t match the analytics on the site. Then, if you log onto the app, there is no where can you find a list of visitors. The only way I can see what page someone is on is if I happen to catch them online and open the app from the notification. Still can’t track the pages they went to, but if I’m lucky I can catch their current page. No list of daily visitors. Disappointed, because we use analytics daily for info into who is tracking emails, where requests are coming from etc. if you’d fix this and model it after your website that’d be amazing.

There was a bit of a learning curve with the new update. I run a small business that operates by appointment. I love that I can now book and edit appointments without having to input all of my client’s information and easily move appointments to different time slots or different days. I’ve been patiently waiting for this update. I’ve been a fan of wix for three years now and love the simplicity. I am always getting clients who comment on how simple it is to book online. It has definitely allowed me to focus on my work, not on the nitty gritty details like scheduling. Keep up the good work!

I downloaded this app in order to chat with potential customers online. I have a lot of issues with the “customer online” notification leading me to nothing. I always think well maybe there is an update which makes the notifications in the app work better, and maybe there is an upgrade that makes it easier to find who is currently on line...but the upgrades never fix the issue and there seems to be an upgrade almost every other day?? I use the app specifically to chat with online customers looking to place an order or get more information, and I really wish that this particular part of the app didn’t have so many issues. It should be easy to find the “customers online”

I love the Wix app, except for the MESSAGE feature. I can’t find where to turn it OFF on my mobile nor laptop on my website. I’ve called Wix to ask and was placed on hold for a ridiculous amount of time. When I have CHAT OFF, I don’t want messages to still go through my Wix app on my mobile (that defeats the purpose, to me). When I want messages to my mobile, I’d have the CHAT ON. My chat is turn off, when my schedule does not permit that “RIGHT NOW YOU ANSWER” urgency. The MESSAGE option still gives me that feeling and I can’t turn it off, like I can do the CHAT option. I have ample amount of other communication methods for my business. The MESSAGE feature is not needed for me, on my mobile app.

I understand that there are limitations on a mobile app that there aren’t when on a desktop, but my goodness. I can’t type a blog post on my phone before it stops scrolling and going back to the top. Sometimes, an idea comes to you when you’re away from a computer and you want to get it all out then. You’d think with the app you would be able to, but you can’t see anything you write past maybe one paragraph. I gave the app three stars because I could check my inbox and blog normally, but as for creating content, if you’re away from a computer jot whatever you have to say down in your notes and wait until you reach a computer because it’s almost impossible on the app.
WIX Advertises Their Brand Not Yours On App

I would give the app in general a five star if it didn’t misrepresent. When you log into the app, WIX has its “own place” front and center already by default. As a business, I don’t want to see your brand overshadowing my brand. Please make provisions where the paying customers can brand their own app without your name being so instructive. It looks more of a WIX APP instead of the client’s business app. Especially when you first log in. I want my customers to log straight into “My Place”, not yours. And please leave the decision for me to decide if I want you as a neighbor or anyone else for that matter. It’s smart that you’ve taken the opportunity to freely advertise on every business that signs up. If we pay to remove your WIX AD on our websites, shouldn’t we be afforded the same opportunity on the app?
Online Restaurant Orders

We’ve used Wix for a while now. Their online system was great until they took down their restaurants app and merged it with their Wix app. Ever since then we’ve had so many problems. The orders are always delayed, we used to immediately receive the orders our customers placed online. We’ve also had so many orders that don’t show up until we refresh it ourselves. The biggest feature missing is the option to print. Printing allows us to attach the ticket to the customers order and they can pick up the right order. It also showed us if they paid online or not. Now that feature is completely missing. All of this has caused us a great amount of trouble and embarrassment in front of our customers. Hopefully they either fix this app or let us use the old Restaurants app.

I have run my business web site using Wix for years. A couple months ago my computer completely died and after a lot of thought and discussion with Apple on the best product for me I invested in the iPad Pro. I got it home to find out that Wix cannot be used on the iPad Pro and I lost a handful of clients due to not being able to update my site. Just days after finding this out I was also charged another $153 for use of the platform, an annual fee, for a site I can no longer use. Let’s just say I am now looking for a new platform to use that supports all devices. It’s 2019 and to not be supported on an iPad is a poor business decision that will eventually be costly as Apple further upgrades their products again this year.

I’ve been using Wix for about 3 months now. Loved it! It was fabulous! I upgraded to the premium so I could take advantage of all the bells and whistles. Then, they placed an updated and now my wix is useless! My clients and I can no longer book appointments because the screen goes blank once you are on the calendar. It’s been like that for several weeks. I’m grateful that at least my current booked appointments haven’t disappeared however my clients are used to depending on this app for their scheduling needs. I’ve messaged feedback to the designers at least a dozen times with no prevail. I’m hoping this review reaches one of the designers for a fix really soon! Once it’s fixed I’d be happy to give them a 5 star.

Getting better with each update, but still needs work. This app should be in beta! Seriously, do they even test these?! When I schedule an appointment in my booking calendar, no matter what address I put in for the location, it reverts it to an address that I used previously. So now I have 3 appointments with the wrong address. Thankfully, I’m smart enough to not use this as my main calendar. But the confirmation emails are showing the wrong address. It’s also frustrating that I can’t edit the address after it’s been scheduled. I have to cancel the appointment and create a new one. I’m also still having an issue with the notification badge showing I have notifications when I have nothing when I open the app. Please fix your app!

I really wish there was an option to add product info to the ‘additional info section’ while using the mobile app. You guys only offer a description option on the app which is inconvenient for those who travel & need to add more detailed info about their store products. Whenever I’m on the go, I’m forced to post products without an info section until I’m able to make it to my desktop computer. I use this section to enter all of the important info about what I’m selling to help my customers. Aside from this the app is functional - I’m able to edit all other fields on the mobile app. Please consider adding this feature in the near future. Thanks.

So far, I’ve been thrilled, then disappointed, then exhilarated, then exhausted. It’s like they have too many irons in the fire. I will save a complete review for after I *try* to give them the benefit of the doubt... Again. It wouldn't be so bad that this app just WON'T do anything... Like, at all... Except for the bait and switch they got me with when I bought the premium plan and suddenly all the extras were Removed because I went monthly instead of yearly. Didn't see anything about a difference until money was about to be spent. Of course, I could have missed something, but 30 years in marketing usually means they tried REEEEAAAALLY hard to not make it obvious. I just left one GoDaddy after years, because of this stuff... Dont have me tell another... "You can GO top, daddio." (That was wordplay. You're welcome.)

The app itself is useful for receiving customer chat notifications on your phone and being able to respond quickly. That’s about it. Everything else never loads and you can’t access anything. Also be wary of having your company’s site through wix in the first place of you need to use Wixpayments for processing. Customer service for Wixpayments is well below par. They also randomly deactivate your account for various reasons and find excuses to hold on to your money. When they do activate your account they will make your next transfer date weeks out instead of making an ach payment every Monday as their site states. Just long enough for them to randomly deactivate your account again and take 7 business days to get back to you. Total nightmare!

Everything is nice, the interface could use slight improvements & I don’t feel you should be forced to have a live chat inside the app if you don’t want it or if the site already provides it. A few months ago it was easier to access my Blog page and Add/Delete Blog Posts along with Editing them, nowadays it creates a whole entire new blog system in the app which doesn’t make sense since it isn’t a continuation off the one on my Wix Premium Website. Most importantly, it would be nice to incorporate a Mobile Editor so you can customize the actual website on the phone and not limited to it on a PC.

I’ve been using this app since they kind of force it on you when you try to access the desktop site on a mobile device. It is convenient in a lot of ways but the fact that you can’t print an order form from the mobile app is ridiculous. I like to include copies of each order when I ship out packages and each time I have to log into the computer just to do it. In the age of air print and all. I hope there’s a fix. And customer service is horrendous. The hoops to jump through just to talk to a person only to be told at the end that support is unavailable and you should check back in 10 minutes...EVERYTIME!
WIX APP and WIX Mobile Site

I’m pretty sad and upset with the new WIX app.... it’s like a completely different app then before, not user friendly, I can’t find my products and orders as easily as before. Pretty much every single thing that what somewhat easily accessed through the WIX app before is just horrible now...... I’m also not happy at all with the mobile version of the websites. 97% if my customers shop on their phones and this is HUGE. It needs to look a lot more like the desktop site! I spent SO much time on a beautiful site only to have to scroll for hours on each page via mobile site. Other people have beautiful mobile sites. This should be an easy fix. We should be able to edit more of it... instead of it being so SIMPLE... lame. If these aren’t fixed soon I’ll be fully exploring other sites....
Can’t edit your blog!!

This app is useless when it comes to writing/editing your blog. I’m surprised that in this day and age I still have to tied to my desktop to post. It’s super frustration and I am deeply disappointed. Currently when I go to edit a post, it gives me a message that says “Limited editing options” that takes up 1/4 of the screen. Between the keyboard and this not helpful message, I have access to about an inch of my screen. Then when I try to edit, I make one keyboard stroke and it send me to the bottom of my post. I have to scroll back to where I was. The same thing happens for a new post. Useless and limiting! I have no idea how the other features work on this app but I’m not keen to find out. Being able to blog on my phone is super important and this app disappoints.
Frustrating

I use wix for my blog... and the mobile app is garbage. I’ve removed it from my phone a number of times after downloading because it’s nearly useless. After downloading this most recent time, I was rather impressed with the seemingly updated features. I decided to start a blog post within the app and it seems to have the same flawed feature as the website does at times. Once you get the page full of content: if it needs to expand, it doesn’t! You can scroll to the bottom only to be bumped back to the top as soon as you start typing, so there is no way to see the words. VERY FRUSTATING!!!!! Wix may be “free” for those of us who use the service as a hobby but it is becoming my least favorite. I won’t be using it once I decide to upgrade, that’s for sure.
