Hello! I have been using the Wix App for about a year now and have successfully begun to grow my online training business. However about a month ago the App froze and will now not open on my phone. When I click on the app now I just see the opening screen with “spaces by wix” and a blue background but the App will not open. I have tried reinstalling the app and restarting my phone but nothing works. Does anyone have any ideas this is crucial to my business!!!!

You guys are looking at a lawsuit. We have a counseling practice, and this app shows up automatically on the mobile version of our site without our permission and allows our patients to see each other, an illegal breach in confidentiality! We are about to have to take our entire website down and host with someone else simply because we cannot get rid of this STUPID APP!!

Wix is only good at one thing. Making pretty websites. If you want to run a business then don’t use Wix. Lags constantly and this app “Spaces” makes no sense nor is it intuitive.

If I could give negative 5 stars I would. The exact reason most small businesses can’t get ahead people like the wix development team making fake pages and accounts just to write good reviews and lie to the general public. I’ve reported them to the better business bureau, Instagram, the developers and I will be on my way to California to see about my issue personally. I’ve tried coming to an agreement and getting my refund with wix but they are unable to work with the people spending hundreds with them.

I like Wix for building and maintaining my website, but this App is a waste of time! My events don’t show up anymore and trying to create and edit content via the mobile App is a nightmare. There really needs to be some improvements, starting with an UNDO feature. I made a mistake and deleted one of my challenges and was not able to recover it. No warning and no prompt to confirm if this is really what you want to do. SMH!

I am struggling to understand this app. I’m not sure what all I am supposed to be able to do through it- it seems overly complicated- not intuitive. My messages to customers are not seen by the customer- unless they too have this app? So I just have to log off and send through email anyway- I need to manage the site through the web page anyway also... so what exactly is the point of this app?!

With all my accounts and passwords apple ids and google and fb and Twitter and my banking and just about every and their em user names and new passwords. Universe knows I don’t need another one to manage and it’s not even proven u guys wasted my time around two weeks I’m cancelling and looking elsewhere because seriously I don’t need another app. Dead serious. I have paid for Unlimited and have basically no access and can not receive payments. For $300 something per year I should have a functioning website. There is no help, only vague articles explaining how easy everything is with no explanation. I paid for the Premium and can not except payments, I am told I must upgrade again. This needs corrected.

It’s so glitchy, if I change an appointment and Wix asks me if I want to notify the customer of the change, if I click ‘No’, why are you still notifying the customer!!!! Please fix this. This app is trash😡

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but my google calendar is not syncing with my wix website or mobile. When I schedule clients on my google calendar I get nothing on my wix site calendar. I’ve gone through syncing main calendar over and over. I’m going this route because you can’t get anyone on the phone. And unfortunately your search questions don’t address my problem. So my review is in the middle.
New update causes Notification Issue

It shows at the bell icon numbers of notification. But rhen you just get that ugly cat pic showing none. No refresh works no reinstalling works just trash. Fix this ASAP also stop having chats getting interrupted by your top banner . I shouldn’t have to wait to send something when someone else is sending something. Overall app took a toll

As for most did, I was laid off during COVID. At the height of it I decided to try something new a start a online store/ giveaway company. Long story short I contacted wix with my plans and they told me how everything I wanted to do was beyond easy and realistic. Upon throwing thousands at the domain, wix monthly fees, advertising, etc I learned the hard way I was massively misinformed and every single thing I was told that site can provide and handle was a lie. Only thing that worked was credit card processing but that’s a standard. I was extremely frustrated and tried called several times, they have the most uneducated staff I’ve encountered on day to day standards of info, it was always a escalation case to result in nothing towards the end. After months of zero help and progress I attempted to shut down the site and get reimbursed and they fought/ still deny it to this day. Extremely close to small claims court for Mia advertisement. Worst staff, and experience I’ve ever had, based off info I was told by them and operated because so.
Wix for restaurant set up

First of all it works but in a limited way. I own a restaurant and set up my wix website to receive online orders. I also connected my thermal printer via bluetooth, and i wish Wix engineers can give the owner ability to change printing set up such as “auto printing orders”. I use Doordash as well, one thing I liked the most about them is that they allows user to set confirm orders automatically, and prints multiple (you can select up to 3 copies) receipts automatically as well. Wix app doesn’t have that option and I have to manually accept each orders and print them twice manually as well. Which it slow down our process of accepting order and placing orders in. I really hope wix developers read this and make some changes. Then I will be really happy with it.

I don’t know about the previous version, but this new update is extremely buggy. Any time I try to create or update my space it never saves the content. If I try to add a gallery and images it always says that it failed to contact the server. Serious QA issues that the dev team needs to work out.

Not too sure but I designed a website with wix this morning and was trying to manage it from my phone and I was redirected to this app, which I believe charged me for when I downloaded it and now this app does not help with what I need. All I needed was to make a couple minor changes to my website that I already bought a prescription for, now I want to get rid of this app after quickly realizing I was redirected to something that’s totally not what I need.

I was loving the Wix app for the business I upgraded to have my own phone number and receive text and calls but now for whatever reason I can’t see any of my messages! All my contacts deleted, all my messages, I can still receive calls and text but it doesn’t save the chat and it says I have no chats to see. I’m so frustrated I’ve only had this new number for 2 weeks and this already happens?! I contacted costumer service did I they told me and still nothing. PLUS I can bet my $120 I paid for!! Super annoying

I switched to wix from a previous booking site because I wanted “my own” website for the convenience of scheduling clients. First off, i find it annoying that clients aren’t able to book multiple services at once it really is a hassle for people to have to go back and schedule for another service/time and take up multiple appointments slots when they could’ve just done one large time frame. Secondly, I don’t like that a card is not able to be kept on file. A lot of people don’t want to enter their card to leave a deposit then have to still pay the other half with a different form of payment. The app itself is just super slow. I’ve set up appointments for my clients on my end and the app freezes and my client ends up getting a bunch of the same confirmation email along with multiple appointments being scheduled for the same time/day on my calendar. I also don’t like that I have to setup a number in order to text my clients, I already have a dedicated work number and do not wish to create a new one. As of now I’ve been having to go to the client profile, clicking on “edit” then having to copy & paste into a new text message. That is probably the most annoying thing about this app. & I’ve gotten a lot of feedback about clients being confused and how to register for their account or signup to become a member on my site. Overall this is just OK. I’ve only had my website/app since November and I’m really leaning towards switching back to my previous booking site.

I’ve been with Wix for quite some time and noticed a few issue with this new upgrade as well as some longer standing issues. New Update: 1) when entering sales orders, I click charge but the screen keeps loading and then stops and wants me to click charge again. This makes it impossible for me to charge any customer in store through the app. Longer Standing Issues: 1) when creating an invoice and a customer, there isn’t a spot for me to enter a state, which makes tracking sales tax very hard. 2) when an invoice is paid, it isn’t automatically classified as a sales order, this should occur at payment. 3) when looking at store orders, there isn’t a way to filter on Amazon, but you can filter on EBay. 4) EBay orders flow through the system without tax where Amazon orders flow through with tax. These should work identical. 5) when creating an invoice, none of the store products transfer over so you have to re-create any inventory items you want to sell 6) due to item #5, when a customer pays through an invoice, inventory isn’t relieved in the system.

I liked when Wix read was right there so I can click on it easily. I hate the new layout in Spaces and I can’t find where to read blog posts anymore or where to submit mine. Wix reads was something finally good for the bloggers that use wix

Wixs makes it easy for a beginner! And has advanced options for advanced people you can grow your self using wixs My favorite feature is the SEO tools so i don’t have to pay some one to get my site more traffic! And being able to send mass emails and upload contacts in the blink of an eye there’s way to much to describe you have to check it outbid your self!! I wish I could use my I pad for it the only down side I came across is you need a decent computer with at least 8 ram for it to run with out crashing but it’s because there’s soooooo much in the program it’s self worth the month and only company that offers a monthly bill so your not paying hundreds out of pocket to start up

So I had issues publishing from my iPad the other day and tried to publish from my phone. Now I have a forum I didn’t want to add to get my blog post up. The blog post finally published from my phone and I shared it to social media but when you click on the link it just asks you to download the app. Further more when I open my website from a browser and not the app my blog post isn’t even there. Navigation through the app is totally confusing. Why do I have to add a forum to publish a blog. I have tto name a category then name a subtitle then name the blog then name the blog post. It makes no sense

Why did I have to come to the limited reviews to see you can only edit your site if it’s an ADI site with this app...? And you know how many people opted to create their site customized starting on a laptop/computer...? It was from that site that I was advised to be able to edit my site with the app, and the app description & photos don’t seem to mention this inconvenient detail... im not that annoyed since you can edit the mobile version on your computer anyways, and I don’t particularly need to edit my site on the go too much, but DEFINITELY a big let down. Especially since I don’t really have the kind of site to reep the benefits from the limited marketing/analytics this app has anyways.

I own a laptop but work mostly from my iPad. I designed my full website on my laptop but need to be able to make frequent design changes from my iPad. Not possible at all with Wix and quite inconvenient. This app only allows you to manage your sites as a marketing tool, but not as a designer.

But I was not expecting that you have to create your own policy to be able to approve your account to received your pay out! Thats a bummer. You guys fixed the bug where no orders show up. I’ve written customer support and never got any response. The app, no matter how often I update it, only shows one order from last year, making it difficult to fill orders on the go. Please fix this issue, or get back to people when they try to get support.

The contacts and phone app are not user friendly and often require double entry of the contact information. You can not do group texting either. You can not send images via text unless you have an email address. For a large company, their app sure needs lots of improvements.

Heard good things so decided to use Wix for a blog. The interface isn’t that user friendly. You can’t customize layout colors or customize or move font. You can’t customize text boxes. The app won’t let me edit or write blogs at all. When I select to edit blog (already in my app) it tells me to open the app and takes me to the Apple store where I reopen the app in the store and am taken back to the page I was initially on to edit from the start and I go through the whole process over and over, never getting to an interface where I can actually edit or view my blog. There’s minimal room for creativity and it’s turned out to be quite useless for me.

Also tried using Mailchimp with as sending email communication to customers was annoying and crashed with wix app and online... still A MESS. I hate trying to send emails and I’m considering switching to another app like Shopify for my site.

Almost everything I want to do on the app with my iPhone tells me I have to do on my laptop. The old app was able to create shoutouts, now impossible. Seems to be going backwards. I signed up 2 websites for the “Premium” plan but I’m still only allowed 3 emails per month. 2 additional emails to my customer is an additional $12. For emails!?

If I try to edit the blog in safari it tells me to get the app. So I got the app, but if I try to edit the blog IN THE APP it tells me I can only edit the blog in the app... that I am currently in and when you click the “Manage in the App” button it takes me to the AppStore to show me the app I need. A.k.a the one I already have an have downloaded.

I really like how easy it is for me to manage this site. I am not the most tech savvy person, but I am able to manage this. I like being able to see my sales and how much income is coming in. I like being notified when customers view my store and order stuff. It helps me be able to promptly fill an order. This is great!

App specifically just crashes constantly, one-day in pretty trash.. but might just need an update 🤷🏾‍♂️😤 idk Update, they did have an update - app is still annoying, slow with a considerable lag for everything basically. Desktop/Laptop is only slightly better, gets the job done rn but not efficiently. Is more so a headache overall going through the motions every time, tends to also randomly change the Display Cover Image after saving a Blog. Lowkey has a mind of its own, beware. Bit random and stupid but I’ll deal with it until I stop being lazy and switch over to another platform 😴

Only thing would be the pricing for shipping, but there is not much that can be done about it. Besides that I love the services that it provides, and how accesible they are.

I built a free portfolio on wix and it was fairly simple. I decided to try and purchase a domain to hook to my site to easily put it on my resume. It gave me 2 options upgrade to a premium account and get a domain for free or purchase a domain separately and in small print it says but you will still have to purchase a premium account to connect the domain (which I did not see at the time, and who would think that even makes sense when it gives you two options). I saw this right after pushing my payment through and instantly contacted support asking for a refund because of course I wasn’t going to upgrade and pay monthly when I thought I was paying an annual fee for my domain. It of course was denied. But come on! To me that is some sort of scam. $30 isn’t the end of the world, but it is upsetting when I know it was just $30 down the drain. Because of this, if I do consider to upgrade one day it will not be with Wix. Good logical customer service goes a long way and not even speaking to anyone but just getting an automated message that says your refund request has been denied is a huge turn off.

Patient, informative, gave many tips n tricks, observations about my site and what could make it more user friendly..then followed up with an email giving a ton more info. We’ve been using Wix for a while, and it’s been very inconsistent. Most recently it’s stopped notifying us through emails that we are receiving bookings. The only way I saw that we were booked yesterday is that I just happened to check the app when I used it to book an appointment. I’ve been missing messages from my clients, and the therapists I have working with us are no longer getting these notifications through email. It’s very important that we receive these bc the app does not send them to my therapist when I book it through the app or from my desk top. So now I’m calling or texting my employees every time I find a booking. I’m exhausted from trying to get a call back because they never call me when I request it. So this review is my last attempt at getting help. Small businesses like ours don’t have time to be glued to a computer all day hoping for a real human to finally respond to them.

Ok so for the end of 2020 I thought to myself hey wouldn’t it be cool if I started a blog before next year begins. After googling some time I see that millions of people have used wix to do just that, since I don’t have access to a computer I download the *very convenient* app that lets you manage your blog all convenient at the palm of your hand. I very much would like to know who ever wrote this apps description term for manage is being the app lets you do nothing, and it most certainly isn’t free from what I could tell either. App first had you create a general webpage based on what you are trying to blog, then has you set up your title for around 50$ definitely not free as mentioned in the app description. After which I stop working on the web page only to see the next morning I have two web pages one set up by the app or I think it’s the app didn’t tell me either way where it came from only that I somehow was the owner of it. Go to delete the second webpage since I only need one only to see the app also doesn’t let you edit anything only create. Google how to get rid of wix account it refers my to the webpage so I try logging into the webpage through my phone only to get a message saying I don’t have an account, which of course makes no sense since I can enter the info in the app and it says I do have an account. This has been an all around bad experience, if you’re looking to go into blogging or any other webpage business do not use this app.

I started using Wix a month ago. Within a few days of playing with it I upgraded so I could have my own domain name and more features, and access to images, etc. Wix is very user friendly both on your computer and the app allows you to do a lot too while keeping an uncluttered look. (Perhaps most amazing is the AI assistant you use on your computer—after doing a short questionnaire about you needs and wants, it whips up a website for you. Frankly I was amazed at what it came up with for me, beautifully designed. You can then do a lot of customization. The more customization you do, the more learning curve. But I’ve been so inspired, I’ve been playing with it a lot. I downloaded the app; it too is to super easy to use with attractive design. Thanks for the blog manager! BUT...here’s the thing: I went to use the app on my iPad Pro and, well, there is no app for the iPad Pro! I was stunned and disappointed. It’s not like the Pro came out yesterday. The Pro would make the perfect work space for Wix—more design features would be possible than with phone app. You could then have pretty full featured Wix app on the go. Please tell me an iPad Pro app will soon be available?!

I read a customer review from over a year ago about an iPad app. Your response was “...not in the near future.” Well, a year later (and in tech terms that’s more like 10 years later) there still doesn’t appear to be one. It would be nice to be able to work the web site from the comfort of my living room rather then being chained to my Mac even longer than I already am trying to do all the other business stuff needed during the day. The app works well on the Mac, although a bit seedy in traversing around the thing and confusing at times when first getting started, but I’m thinking maybe the new site I’ve developed (on my iPad) through another host may lead my subscription to lapse on the WIX app in March. Sorry guys, small business owners (who, let’s face it, mostly use your app) have to stuff all business functions into their day. Developing/maintaining a web site during business hours on the Mac just isn’t a high priority and after 10-14 hours in the studio, it’s time to relax with my iPad. Building my web site is fun, but sitting in an office chair even longer is not.

I have two sites with Wix. With the older one, I am able to reply directly to comments. But with the newer version, I can not. I just want to know who thought it was a great idea to take away the joy of no longer being able to engage with people who are subscribed to your site. Literally, what is the point of having a website where engagement and discussions are encouraged but you can’t even address each person as individuals. I’m incredibly upset and disappointed. With the money I’ve spent to build these sites, it’s heartbreaking to think that you no longer find it important to give people a voice on a website they pay just to be able to have that platform to interact with others. It’s a waste of time, money, and effort if all people can do is look and scroll but can’t even reply back to one another. Never thought I would have regrets with this site but I certainly do now. Not sure who the creative mind was behind it but they certainly didn’t consider the things people loved and made them want to go with Wix to begin with. Why over complicate? Are we not tired of experiencing this feeling. Simplicity is bliss. Now we’re just lost. Whoever the team was before, bring them back. Either make it better or leave it as is.

So at first I loved the app. It was simple to use. I answered all of the surveys with thoughtful insights. I started earning cash and even started getting value surveys, which pay a little more than the regular ones. I haven’t won any of the big payments but I was fine with working my way up. Well I finally hit a little over $10, which is the minimum to cash out but it’s been almost a week and I still haven’t received my payment. So I tried emailing this company over and over again but nobody will respond and I have no idea how to get a hold of customer service. It took a lot of time and effort on my end to get up to $10 doing little $.15-.$25 surveys and would like to get my cash especially since I’m unemployed at the moment and Christmas is about to arrive. This app would be great and I would totally recommend it if they would be available to assist the people who took the time to complete their surveys. Don’t download this app if you are not okay with wasting your time. I use several other apps to make a little cash until I find a job and I always received payment within two to three days in my PayPal account. I’m highly disappointed!

I use Wix for my salon booking appointments. I recently got a suggestion from Wix suggesting that my clients download the app. Now before when my clients would book online I could see everything their name,number, an email an services that they were booking for. Now when they book with the app it doesn’t have the clients name or number. Just the service their getting an email. In the booking part it only shows service. I don’t even see or know who I am servicing. So I don’t know who I’m about to give service too. Although emails are fine I mostly contact my clients by phone. I will not be suggesting for my clients to use the app until it gives me more information on my end about the clients an their appointment. As for now I will continue to lead my clients to the website to book their appointments. Also I had only one conflict where my client scheduled an appointment it gave me the wrong time that she scheduled for. It was an whole hour difference. Her appointment was at 3:30 pm an her confirmation told her the same. But on my notification calendar it said 4:30 pm . I hope this doesn’t happen again. It was an inconvenience for us both to have different times.

This app is very good for helping me manage my bakery. It helps me keep track of orders and customers. But it’s only gets three stars because the tech support is atrocious. When the app decides NOT to work, and NOT to send me notifications, I miss orders. That’s terrible for business. When I troubleshoot and it doesn’t work, the next logical step is to reach out to tech support. I spent 48 minutes on the phone. Half the time was spent on hold, the other half was spent just trying to get the support employee to understand what my problem is, which takes a very long time with people who don’t speak English. My problem didn’t get resolved, after all that time on the phone I was told “it must be a glitch” (yea, you don’t say), and that someone would get back to me later. I didn’t receive an email back until three whole days later, and the email was simply a screenshot of how to turn on notifications. As if I’m so stupid that after three days I wouldn’t consider that maybe notifications wasn’t turned on. Horrible customer service y’all. Really bad.
Y’all have poor communication, and the app needs to be fixed!

When I first started using this app I really like it, now it’s becoming a annoyance and inconvenience with the problems that come with it. I blocked out last month when I needed a break for working and it would not let me unblock so I couldn’t use the app, I even emailed and received a response saying someone will get back to me but no one did. I just had to wait until my block was over for my clients to schedule. It is now a month later I’m trying to block off a certain time and it’s practically doing the same thing but this time I need a special time blocked every week and it’s not even acknowledging it. It’s still showing my entire schedule is available even when I uncheck the Wednesday box that whole day is still available to book. Another thing is when my client go to styles the pic is cut off it would be great if I continue to keep the app if you could show the full picture that would be great. Other than that i haven’t had problems but those are major problems and could affect my client relationship.

I’ve been using Wix for 5 years now. The app has been incredibly helpful in managing my therapy private practice. I was able to easily see my bookings calendar and schedule appointments for my clients. After the new update, it is incredibly difficult to find my bookings calendar. One page title “my bookings” says that I have no appointments, and then redirects me to another page that shows how many appointments I actually have for the week. It used to be very easy to see my calendar - one click and I’m there. Now I have to click through pages and pages to find my appointments. I don’t know why that changed! Another problem I have with the app is that it constantly gets stuck showing all of my notifications. The app will say I have three notifications, so I’m thinking I have three appointments. I click into the app and go from page to page to find nothing. I mark all of my alerts as “read” and close out of the app - it still says I have three notifications. I can understand that any big app update can have bugs, but I don’t think the development of the most recent app had small businesses in mind.

I have been testing and exploring using the one mobile/Wix app for months. When I first started I didn’t roll it out because there wasn’t the capability to monitor who joins our community and how. Now there is and when COVID hit, I thought, the app is a perfect solution for our growing community of 1300+. But I’ve not been able to launch because for over two weeks now, we have not been able to get the “groups” feature to work—it doesn’t show up on member pages for some odd reason and WIX hasn’t been able to resolve things. It’s been extremely frustrating. They are seemingly elevating the issue now but it took a good 1 1/2 weeks for me to not have to re-explain the issue all over, provide all of the same information, etc with new people each time. Yet still, I don’t have any answers or a solution and we are in our third week! Has anyone else run into issues with “groups?” I’d rather Wix remove the option of having them if they can’t get them to work altogether.

I switched to wix from a previous booking site because I wanted “my own” website for the convenience of scheduling clients. First off, i find it annoying that clients aren’t able to book multiple services at once it really is a hassle for people to have to go back and schedule for another service/time and take up multiple appointments slots when they could’ve just done one large time frame. Secondly, I don’t like that a card is not able to be kept on file. A lot of people don’t want to enter their card to leave a deposit then have to still pay the other half with a different form of payment. The app itself is just super slow. I’ve set up appointments for my clients on my end and the app freezes and my client ends up getting a bunch of the same confirmation email along with multiple appointments being scheduled for the same time/day on my calendar. I also don’t like that I have to setup a number in order to text my clients, I already have a dedicated work number and do not wish to create a new one. As of now I’ve been having to go to the client profile, clicking on “edit” then having to copy & paste into a new text message. That is probably the most annoying thing about this app. & I’ve gotten a lot of feedback about clients being confused and how to register for their account or signup to become a member on my site. Overall this is just OK. I’ve only had my website/app since November and I’m really leaning towards switching back to my previous booking site.

I was first introduced to the wix through friends who started their businesses on the app. It seemed so easy to maintain. Now I am launching my own business on Wix and I love it. I highly recommend. The only 2 areas where I would like to make a suggestion are 1. On the website version I’m able to separate my Shops by category. However on the App version , those settings don’t transfer over &amp; I am unable to keep all my products separated. For example, I have beauty tab and then I have an arts/crafts tab. Instead of ONLY beauty products being under Beauty tab and ONLY crafts under the crafts tab. The app lists ALL my products under both tabs. I would like the app version to be just as organized as the website version. 2. I would like to be able to play around more with various font styles, colors, and sizes.

The app great. It’s connection with the internet horrible. My friend and I were working on it but it’s cuts out every 10 minutes of usage. I know it’s not my internet connection that’s bad, because my computer works fine, my other apps that need internet work fine. So I think it’s the app. I wish I could show pictures, but I can’t. I have a lot of members, but I can’t update with the app cutting out this fast. I always have to accept and decline groups. It’s hard when you have only 10 minutes. Other than that: It’s great, I feel professional, even if I’m not selling things or not making sales. I feel like I’m doing something good. Wix is great place to work from, it’s easy and simple. They always trying to improve. Also I’m broke, so I sadly can’t buy a domain but ya. Wix is a great tool for the rich and the broke. I made my site and mobile site with it. I still hate Wix ads, still their not enjoyable at all. They’re really annoying. Wix is soooo easy for my lazy-*** I love how also everything is free, and I have unlimited pages, unlike my past with making websites. Which I was also too broke to get a domain for. I’m so sorry formatting this like a YT comment but yeah. Wix change your ads please. Hopefully my internet connection comes back (forever). WIX IS THE BEST WEBSITE MAKER EVER. Can’t edit my site

As a website builder, Wix is really great. It’s easy to learn and it’s very customizable. I’ve been using it since 2017. However, the app does nothing for me, at least at this time on iPad. I downloaded it because my laptop broke a few months ago so all I have right now are my iPad and phone. You can’t edit from a mobile browser and now I can’t edit in the app. I’m not asking to do any major reorganizing, I just have some text I need to update, prices, and maybe upload some new photos to my gallery. But the only thing the wix app is currently capable of is checking on social and message notifications (which I have social apps and notifs for so don’t need that) and there is a blog manager. So if I was just managing a blog this would probably be fine. But I’m screwed right now because my desktop has been out of commission, and yeah, public computers still not available due to covid so can’t even go to the library to get stuff done. I truly can’t wait until I’m proven wrong here so I can raise my rating. And if I’m wrong now and just stupid and missing something, please help!
Mobile view lacking

I find it completely absurd that after all this time, we still can’t customize the mobile view. 75%+ of my visitors are using mobile devices and they need to scroll down pages and pages of full size photos to see what they want. Would it be so difficult to just give us two columns?! A grid to make viewing easier?! I’m sure I’m losing sales this way as the average visitor will lose patience. Also, they click on a product and see the title in humongous letters and a teeny tiny product photo. Can’t edit that either. There are a few other things that are absurdly behind the times like the tax setup. You can’t separate by category. So it’s completely inefficient/useless unless you only sell ONE type of product. You should at least be able to compartmentalize by collection. That way I could make jewelry taxable and other items non-taxable. They need to work on this; tax is a huge deal. Meanwhile I stay because it’s easiest to customize my site with their editor. Did not like Shopify’s editor at all.

I don’t even know where to begin. I made my business and I can’t believe how easy it was. This is the best website maker EVER!!! It has a lot of features and templates. Did I mention a lot of them are FREE!!!!!!!?? Definitely get this app if you have a business that you are starting and needs a website. I love all of the product options. I can put what sizes you can chose from when you are getting a product and you can put the colors of the product that you can chose from. It also comes with pictures to design your website with. Even though not all of the pictures are free, I still find it really cool. When I was making my website, it was really fun! I really want to pay for the Memberships, but I don’t have the money. This app I would recommend. 5/5 stars.

Wix was relatively easy....but very time consuming. I was able to get my site up in just 2 days (about 4 hours the 1st day and maybe 6 hours the 2nd day) part of that time was spent creating the privacy policy and my first Facebook business page and 1st FB ad that people can click and be directed to my Wix page. I just want customer service to be here for me when I hit road blocks....as I tried building a page with a different company, with Ipage years ago, then I had to buy a domain on godaddy, then I had to get a business email with Gmail.....sooo convoluted. Wix allows customers to send me emails, allows bookings, perfect for my business. Only one complaint, the hone page contact form doesn’t have a spot for a customer to input their phone number.

App still not blog friendly. Cannot manipulate photos with the blog or access photos that have already been uploaded. Feedback Based on Update from Wix (below): 1) It would be nice to be able to do more than type up a blog on my mobile device. The app allows you to embed photos, but does not position the photo correctly in the blog or allow the user to manipulate the size or location. A problem for most blogs. 2) Wix failed to address the lack of functionality on iPad. Even in portrait mode it only opens one way on the screen (flip it over and you get an upside down app - very funny). With nearly 81 million iPad users, it might be worthwhile to fix it. Update: Feedback from WIX team: Thanks for sharing your feedback. The Wix Mobile App lets you manage your site and business (store, blog, hotel or booking system) directly from your mobile device. You can also engage with your customers on the Engage tab. Currently, it is not possible to access the Editor, or edit your site, through the Wix Mobile App.&#34; Original Post: This app continues to be very buggy and offers little functionality if a mobile platform is your primary means of working. WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT EVER - Please Read

Wix authorizes my account to accept credit card payments using the new Wix payment method. After 45 days and selling over $10,000 worth of products, I realized Wix had not paid me a single penny. The un authorized my account. Its been 75 days now, and I still have not got a penny from them. I had to shut down my site. Move it to a new platform and launch my site. I then had to call over 100 customers. Refund them. Wait five days, and they send them a new invoice to pay. It caused me to lose 14 days of work. I was only able to recover $7000 of the $10,000. They have responded to 3 emails out of the 25 I have sent in the last 45 days. Their phone support team says the department which handles this issue does not have phone support and that I just need to wait five days for them to re-verify my account. If you want the slowest responsive website ever with the worst customer support in the world, use Wix. They will not disappoint you when it comes to letting you down!

I’m usually a little hesitant with some apps because they aren’t worth the time. However, I decided to go ahead with this app since I have all the other things connected under the premium account. I had just downloaded the app, logged in and on the computer side was doing some back end adjustments when a notification popped up that someone was on my site, what page, and for how long. OMGoodness. Blown away! I said to myself, “ain’t no way..” so me being me, published my background edits and went on the site live and BOOM! Notification pops up on que. Haven’t even explored the entire app yet but I’m excited for now and the improvements that will come for this app. Wix have continued to improve year after year. Keep it up!
Unhappy with update

I love wix for our websites - so easy to build beautiful websites. And the previous app version, while limited in capabilities, was very simple to navigate and intuitive. However, this new version - while it clearly has expanded capabilities (the reason I have two stars instead of one) - it falls short on the basics. I see a badge that I have a new notification and two things have happened on separate occasions: 1. I have a new message from my website contact form that I cannot access, because although I can see a preview of the first line in my notifications list, tapping on it won’t open it, or 2. I have no idea what the notification is about, because once I’ve opened the app, and discovered there’s no new message, I don’t know where else to look for any new information. Please fix these basic issues so I can amend my rating. Wix is better than this app version demonstrates.

I absolutely love Wix. I enjoy maneuvering though the site... The ability to edit easily, the options offered, as well as the fundamental straightforwardness the site offers. I ENJOY this compared to the many other sites out there. Now I have the functionality through my phone..?!?!?!! GREAT! This is the reason I ONLY prefer wix. Seriously, I have been able to create beautiful sites, editing has been easy and exciting... Wix is VERY INNOVATIVE! I enjoy all this site and the team behind this amazing site. You are always allowing us to grow with you by offering ways we can grow. I encourage all to use Wix bcz they are innovative and amazing. Always providing new ways for customers like me to improve the way we present ourselves.

I have an iPad Pro that can handle heavy tasks, but the app keeps forcing me to have to edit via a computer. I can’t even open safari to request a desktop page and edit my website there (which I would’ve thought would’ve been added as an option. What’s the point of the app if you can’t do anything on it. I’m giving two stars because the are like two things o liked and don’t have a month using the application, maybe the desktop interface and experience is better, but as far as this app goes, it’s too limiting and a pain to use. Matter of fact I’ll change it to one star. Squarespace is a lot easier to get started. And as a plus I can edit on a browser right on my iPad and have mobile and tablet mode I can switch through all without closing any windows. Barely using both services for a week and Wix is extremely limited when it comes to customizing a page and making out your own. Which is a shame

I have spent days trying to get any photo to upload to an album and successful only once...every other time it just hangs on 0%. The one picture I did manage to get uploaded did in fact show up in my photo album, but then it couldn’t be accessed in my media files for use elsewhere. Neither could I get it even to load to my media section. I don’t know what the disconnect is but I downloaded this app to be able to post photos and blogs from my phone/iPad, and if it can’t even manage to do that it isn’t worth the time to even download the app. The number of hours I have put into trying to make this function work is ridiculous. The help pages are woefully inadequate and when I finally reached tech support their solution was to transfer photos from my phone to my laptop and upload them from there...hardly a robust, sustainable solution. Suggest Wix remove this from App Store until they have a proven tool.

I really only have one complaint about the app!! I can’t send an invoice to my customer. Example- I post my product on social media with the instructions to comment their email address to be sent an invoice for products. Then I have to dry out my lap top go to the main site create an invoice and then on top of that it doesn’t take the products out of my inventory. So then I have to go into my inventory and edited it manually. It would be better if you could create an invoice from the app and be able to select the products that are being sold and have that take them out of my inventory!!! If you could add this function it would really be helpful. I am on my phone more than I am my laptop. Thank you
The newest update and other features

I don’t know why things were changed but on the newest update, it took away some of the chat features and it’s a little disappointing. I was able to see when a customer came on my site, the. I was able to click on the comment chat bubble to see their city and what page were they visiting on the site for analytic purposes. But after the newest update, it doesn’t show up and when I click on the chat feature, it doesn’t show the customer. And this was a big thing for my business before this newest update. Also, what will help my business is “buy now pay later” option. I can’t get that because none of the company’s work with Wix which is a huge disappointment. I really really like Wix but it’s causing me to lose money so I have to make some decisions about my website platform.

I love wix. They seem to have thought of everything. Just when I think I have a question they no one has possible thought of, I can google it and wix already figured it out. I really can say enough great things. Wix on mobile is great and thoughtful too! They include everything you need to do on the go like scan barcodes to send shipping confirmation emails, add a product, upload and edit pictures from your phone, get a sale in person... they’ve thought of everything really! The only thing is I wish we were able to customize the subscriber login screen but that’s really the only thing.

I’ve been enjoying all that comes with having a wiz website, for sure. But the app does nothing more for me than have a chat room to talk to clients who message the chat box on my website. All the other tools they advertise are cumbersome and I don’t use them/know how to use them. I don’t have a blog for my business so it’s useless. I’d much rather like to be able to edit and control my website in it’s entirety like I can from a desktop. Email marketing/editing, editing my site, and everything else. The least used tool is the blog. And since I’m moving away from desktop to an iPad Pro, it would be much appreciated if I can have full function and full reign over my wiz website editing and tools on an iPad OS interface. Even in safari I can’t edit text or delete boxes in the email campaign.

I’m giving this a one star, because it didn’t correctly cross sync with the website. Last evening I started a blog draft on the app, I then went to work on the draft some more the next day. Saved it. And later that evening went to continue working on it in the app only to find that it did not cross sync with the website and in turned replaced my draft to the one from the night before. I then went back to the website and to my dismay saw the older version. I just lost an hour’s worth of work and there’s currently no way for me to revert it back to the version from earlier today. Hence the one star until this is resolved. :( Also irritated that submitting a help ticket is so difficult. I don’t want to talk to a bot when I already spent 30min looking through the help forum. If I couldn’t find a solution taking 30min and browsing through the help forum, I don’t think the bot will either.

I’m gonna have to agree with many others; the site is harder now to navigate. Not sure what happened to the ability to edit and port in the main site blog. I have been looking for about 30 minutes before I gave up and decided to see if you had posted info about it. All I see is a social part which makes no difference to me since it is just a portfolio site at the moment. Before I could edit my site but it seems I can only edit the test part of the site that is a book club I made just to see what it was like. I have no ability to delete it from the app. I don’t even know how anyone would ever find it on my site anyway. It’s really just supposed to be a place to write snippets of writings for the blog and writings for the main portfolio but I cannot edit either of these now. Very confused and disappointed. Not all of us want social nonsense to mire our work.

I’ve been with WIX for a couple of years and am now considering switching to another host because of WIX current customer support. When I first joined it was very easy to contact someone for help on making adjustments to my website. Now they require you to submit a ticket and it’s not 24/7. It’s also hard to get to the page of even submitting a ticket. For me this is a big deal bc I like to be able to communicate clearly and efficiently and quickly. Chatting and email takes forever to resolve. My schedule is very inconsistent so I need someone there when I’m ready. I also would love to have a search engine bar on my website and WIX does not provide that layout option. Hope they can make these improvements and move forward instead of backwards.

I downloaded this app because I though it would be easy and fun to make just a funny website for friends and family and all of the features seem to work great, everything being nicely laid out and not confusing, but the gallery is bugged, or the instructions on how to use it are just extremely confusing if you can find them at all. More specifically I can create galleries but not upload them onto the site, I can upload media from the manage tab, and nothing happens. And whenever it says to use the Pro Gallery it brings me to the AppStore as if it’s an add on that I need to purchase to use yet the features are already there in the app. I’m just all around confused when it comes to the gallery and images on this app.
Wix for restaurant set up

First of all it works but in a limited way. I own a restaurant and set up my wix website to receive online orders. I also connected my thermal printer via bluetooth, and i wish Wix engineers can give the owner ability to change printing set up such as “auto printing orders”. I use Doordash as well, one thing I liked the most about them is that they allows user to set confirm orders automatically, and prints multiple (you can select up to 3 copies) receipts automatically as well. Wix app doesn’t have that option and I have to manually accept each orders and print them twice manually as well. Which it slow down our process of accepting order and placing orders in. I really hope wix developers read this and make some changes. Then I will be really happy with it.

I used to be able to work from this app quite well. I had no issues of the app closing mid-listing and it uploaded all photos so well. This worked so well for me, because I mostly work form my phone. I’m not sure what happened but now my app shuts down right in the middle of a listing for my store, I have huge troubles downloading pictures, and it’s all very frustrating. It’s the most frustrating because I do pay quite a lot to use Wix for web hosting my site, and I NEED to be able to work from my phone. Can you got back to whatever was working before, because this is driving me crazy and making life harder, and sales lower because I don’t even list items in my shop anymore. I just use Etsy. If I am not using my website because it’s hard to list items, why am I even paying you guys?

So I’m over had not too long ago deleted the secondary wiz app where You can manage your platforms/but I went to download it again as I wanted to update photos etc and low and behold I download this imposter of an app! So disappointed! Because as a small business owners of several businesses that app allowed me to manage all my sites /blogs/chat feature/mail etc all in a place that was convenient. Boy was most platform wiz developers happy youguys came up with that. But now You have this new app that’s not even close to what is needed. Why create a forum? That’s what Facebook is literally with groups/chat with customers directly we were already able to do that before. Now it seems personal more personal than it needs to be. I mean I have been an avid user and wiz developer for more than almost 15+ years and loved the interface and accessibility and ease of the wix platform and loved where it was headed with the previous app. This app is not useful. You can’t edit your site/upload photos/nothing important to business owners who You mainly market too and WE need ease of a platform. Smh! Please please I’m begging You to fix this! It was not broken. 😳🤯😡 I’m just like I just built another site and now I’m thinking of moving to another platform. Wow! Please please put it back to how it was!

I am extremely disappointed in just how hard it is to customize my website. The app might as well not even exist because my site never loads for me to even try to edit it. I don’t like that I can’t change the colors of the templates to suit my brand’s color theme. Or, that you can’t switch things around within the layout to be where you want them, only change the layout to options that don’t really look all that great. I don’t know if it’s just because it’s on mobile, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having the app at your fingertips to be able to edit your site and still not be able to edit your site the way you need to. It’s sad to say but I left Wix because I thought the old set up was kind to work with but this is way worse, at least when I published my site before it was how I wanted it.

I love the analytics on the wix website. We track visitors from all over the world for bookings (musician website). The site on the browser is fairly accurate. But what the heck with this app???? I like that it gives me notifications when someone is on the site, but 50% of the time the location is wrong and doesn’t match the analytics on the site. Then, if you log onto the app, there is no where can you find a list of visitors. The only way I can see what page someone is on is if I happen to catch them online and open the app from the notification. Still can’t track the pages they went to, but if I’m lucky I can catch their current page. No list of daily visitors. Disappointed, because we use analytics daily for info into who is tracking emails, where requests are coming from etc. if you’d fix this and model it after your website that’d be amazing.

Do not use WIX. I have been a customer for at least 10 years. The company double charged me for 5 of those years, -thousands of dollars. (When the chargers are 9 months apart, and doesn’t show what your being charged for... you can miss it! Like me) Then last year, 3 MORE unauthorized charges! $204, $49 &amp; $49 and for other people’s websites!! They refunded, one $204 charge but the others they refuse. How can they you ask? It’s not even for my websites or my accounts! The phone calls were over 3 hours. One call I waited on hold for 1 hour and 39 minutes!!!! Just on hold, even after talking to someone for 20 min!! Then I had to wait weeks for email replies. Terrible company. Terrible service. They will screw you even if they are in the wrong. COVID-19 has made so many small businesses struggle, and WIX charged me for websites that aren’t even mine, and won’t refund the money. SHAME ON YOU WIX! Do not use this company.

I’ve been using Wix to build an online art portfolio, and it’s been pretty easy to use and has given me really nice results. I just wish there was a way for people to add comments to individual images, because the chat box is really for real time interaction and I don’t want to create a forum and make it so people have to make an account on my site just to leave a thought on something. I’ve also been experiencing a glitch in the Wix app that keeps me from being able to change my account name, the “private” one that for some reason is the name displayed on my website? Huh? So those fixes would be great to see but otherwise it’s a great service.

I love the Wix app, except for the MESSAGE feature. I can’t find where to turn it OFF on my mobile nor laptop on my website. I’ve called Wix to ask and was placed on hold for a ridiculous amount of time. When I have CHAT OFF, I don’t want messages to still go through my Wix app on my mobile (that defeats the purpose, to me). When I want messages to my mobile, I’d have the CHAT ON. My chat is turn off, when my schedule does not permit that “RIGHT NOW YOU ANSWER” urgency. The MESSAGE option still gives me that feeling and I can’t turn it off, like I can do the CHAT option. I have ample amount of other communication methods for my business. The MESSAGE feature is not needed for me, on my mobile app.

I downloaded this app in order to chat with potential customers online. I have a lot of issues with the “customer online” notification leading me to nothing. I always think well maybe there is an update which makes the notifications in the app work better, and maybe there is an upgrade that makes it easier to find who is currently on line...but the upgrades never fix the issue and there seems to be an upgrade almost every other day?? I use the app specifically to chat with online customers looking to place an order or get more information, and I really wish that this particular part of the app didn’t have so many issues. It should be easy to find the “customers online”
Online Restaurant Orders

We’ve used Wix for a while now. Their online system was great until they took down their restaurants app and merged it with their Wix app. Ever since then we’ve had so many problems. The orders are always delayed, we used to immediately receive the orders our customers placed online. We’ve also had so many orders that don’t show up until we refresh it ourselves. The biggest feature missing is the option to print. Printing allows us to attach the ticket to the customers order and they can pick up the right order. It also showed us if they paid online or not. Now that feature is completely missing. All of this has caused us a great amount of trouble and embarrassment in front of our customers. Hopefully they either fix this app or let us use the old Restaurants app.

I love the app and the capabilities of creating your own members area that operates like social media platform. The problem I have is how glitchy this app is. Comments won’t load, notifications are incorrect. I will get notified that someone commented on a blog post, but the comment won’t load. I’ll get notified that someone “liked your comment” on blog post, but it will be one that I didn’t comment on. When typing to post through the app, the screen jumps around and I can’t tell what I’m typing. There are glitches everywhere. This could be an excellent app though, and I’m going to power through the bugs in hopes that they eventually get smoothed out.

I understand that there are limitations on a mobile app that there aren’t when on a desktop, but my goodness. I can’t type a blog post on my phone before it stops scrolling and going back to the top. Sometimes, an idea comes to you when you’re away from a computer and you want to get it all out then. You’d think with the app you would be able to, but you can’t see anything you write past maybe one paragraph. I gave the app three stars because I could check my inbox and blog normally, but as for creating content, if you’re away from a computer jot whatever you have to say down in your notes and wait until you reach a computer because it’s almost impossible on the app.
WIX Advertises Their Brand Not Yours On App

I would give the app in general a five star if it didn’t misrepresent. When you log into the app, WIX has its “own place” front and center already by default. As a business, I don’t want to see your brand overshadowing my brand. Please make provisions where the paying customers can brand their own app without your name being so instructive. It looks more of a WIX APP instead of the client’s business app. Especially when you first log in. I want my customers to log straight into “My Place”, not yours. And please leave the decision for me to decide if I want you as a neighbor or anyone else for that matter. It’s smart that you’ve taken the opportunity to freely advertise on every business that signs up. If we pay to remove your WIX AD on our websites, shouldn’t we be afforded the same opportunity on the app?

I really wish there was an option to add product info to the ‘additional info section’ while using the mobile app. You guys only offer a description option on the app which is inconvenient for those who travel &amp; need to add more detailed info about their store products. Whenever I’m on the go, I’m forced to post products without an info section until I’m able to make it to my desktop computer. I use this section to enter all of the important info about what I’m selling to help my customers. Aside from this the app is functional - I’m able to edit all other fields on the mobile app. Please consider adding this feature in the near future. Thanks.

The app itself is useful for receiving customer chat notifications on your phone and being able to respond quickly. That’s about it. Everything else never loads and you can’t access anything. Also be wary of having your company’s site through wix in the first place of you need to use Wixpayments for processing. Customer service for Wixpayments is well below par. They also randomly deactivate your account for various reasons and find excuses to hold on to your money. When they do activate your account they will make your next transfer date weeks out instead of making an ach payment every Monday as their site states. Just long enough for them to randomly deactivate your account again and take 7 business days to get back to you. Total nightmare!

Hello! I have been using the Wix App for about a year now and have successfully begun to grow my online training business. However about a month ago the App froze and will now not open on my phone. When I click on the app now I just see the opening screen with “spaces by wix” and a blue background but the App will not open. I have tried reinstalling the app and restarting my phone but nothing works. Does anyone have any ideas this is crucial to my business!!!!

If I could give negative 5 stars I would. The exact reason most small businesses can’t get ahead people like the wix development team making fake pages and accounts just to write good reviews and lie to the general public. I’ve reported them to the better business bureau, Instagram, the developers and I will be on my way to California to see about my issue personally. I’ve tried coming to an agreement and getting my refund with wix but they are unable to work with the people spending hundreds with them.

I like Wix for building and maintaining my website, but this App is a waste of time! My events don’t show up anymore and trying to create and edit content via the mobile App is a nightmare. There really needs to be some improvements, starting with an UNDO feature. I made a mistake and deleted one of my challenges and was not able to recover it. No warning and no prompt to confirm if this is really what you want to do. SMH!

My messages to customers are not seen by the customer- unless they too have this app? So I just have to log off and send through email anyway- I need to manage the site through the web page anyway also... so what exactly is the point of this app?!

I have paid for Unlimited and have basically no access and can not receive payments. For $300 something per year I should have a functioning website. There is no help, only vague articles explaining how easy everything is with no explanation. I paid for the Premium and can not except payments, I am told I must upgrade again. This needs corrected.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, but my google calendar is not syncing with my wix website or mobile. When I schedule clients on my google calendar I get nothing on my wix site calendar. I’ve gone through syncing main calendar over and over. I’m going this route because you can’t get anyone on the phone. And unfortunately your search questions don’t address my problem. So my review is in the middle.

It shows at the bell icon numbers of notification. But rhen you just get that ugly cat pic showing none. No refresh works no reinstalling works just trash. Fix this ASAP also stop having chats getting interrupted by your top banner . I shouldn’t have to wait to send something when someone else is sending something. Overall app took a toll

As for most did, I was laid off during COVID. At the height of it I decided to try something new a start a online store/ giveaway company. Long story short I contacted wix with my plans and they told me how everything I wanted to do was beyond easy and realistic. Upon throwing thousands at the domain, wix monthly fees, advertising, etc I learned the hard way I was massively misinformed and every single thing I was told that site can provide and handle was a lie. Only thing that worked was credit card processing but that’s a standard. I was extremely frustrated and tried called several times, they have the most uneducated staff I’ve encountered on day to day standards of info, it was always a escalation case to result in nothing towards the end. After months of zero help and progress I attempted to shut down the site and get reimbursed and they fought/ still deny it to this day. Extremely close to small claims court for Mia advertisement. Worst staff, and experience I’ve ever had, based off info I was told by them and operated because so.

First of all it works but in a limited way. I own a restaurant and set up my wix website to receive online orders. I also connected my thermal printer via bluetooth, and i wish Wix engineers can give the owner ability to change printing set up such as “auto printing orders”. I use Doordash as well, one thing I liked the most about them is that they allows user to set confirm orders automatically, and prints multiple (you can select up to 3 copies) receipts automatically as well. Wix app doesn’t have that option and I have to manually accept each orders and print them twice manually as well. Which it slow down our process of accepting order and placing orders in. I really hope wix developers read this and make some changes. Then I will be really happy with it.

I don’t know about the previous version, but this new update is extremely buggy. Any time I try to create or update my space it never saves the content. If I try to add a gallery and images it always says that it failed to contact the server. Serious QA issues that the dev team needs to work out.

Not too sure but I designed a website with wix this morning and was trying to manage it from my phone and I was redirected to this app, which I believe charged me for when I downloaded it and now this app does not help with what I need. All I needed was to make a couple minor changes to my website that I already bought a prescription for, now I want to get rid of this app after quickly realizing I was redirected to something that’s totally not what I need.

I was loving the Wix app for the business I upgraded to have my own phone number and receive text and calls but now for whatever reason I can’t see any of my messages! All my contacts deleted, all my messages, I can still receive calls and text but it doesn’t save the chat and it says I have no chats to see. I’m so frustrated I’ve only had this new number for 2 weeks and this already happens?! I contacted costumer service did I they told me and still nothing. PLUS I can bet my $120 I paid for!! I switched to wix from a previous booking site because I wanted “my own” website for the convenience of scheduling clients. First off, i find it annoying that clients aren’t able to book multiple services at once it really is a hassle for people to have to go back and schedule for another service/time and take up multiple appointments slots when they could’ve just done one large time frame. Secondly, I don’t like that a card is not able to be kept on file. A lot of people don’t want to enter their card to leave a deposit then have to still pay the other half with a different form of payment. The app itself is just super slow. I’ve set up appointments for my clients on my end and the app freezes and my client ends up getting a bunch of the same confirmation email along with multiple appointments being scheduled for the same time/day on my calendar. I also don’t like that I have to setup a number in order to text my clients, I already have a dedicated work number and do not wish to create a new one. As of now I’ve been having to go to the client profile, clicking on “edit” then having to copy &amp; paste into a new text message. That is probably the most annoying thing about this app. &amp; I’ve gotten a lot of feedback about clients being confused and how to register for their account or signup to become a member on my site. Overall this is just OK. I’ve only had my website/app since November and I’m really leaning towards switching back to my previous booking site.

I’ve been with Wix for quite some time and noticed a few issue with this new upgrade as well as some longer standing issues. New Update: 1) when entering sales orders, I click charge but the screen keeps loading and then stops and wants me to click charge again. This makes it impossible for me to charge any customer in store through the app. Longer Standing Issues: 1) when creating an invoice and a customer, there isn’t a spot for me to enter a state, which makes tracking sales tax very hard. 2) when an invoice is paid, it isn’t automatically classified as a sales order, this should occur at payment. 3) when looking at store orders, there isn’t a way to filter on Amazon, but you can filter on EBay. 4) EBay orders flow through the system without tax where Amazon orders flow through with tax. These should work identical. 5) when creating an invoice, none of the store products transfer over so you have to re-create any inventory items you want to sell 6) due to item #5, when a customer pays through an invoice, inventory isn’t relieved in the system.

And has advanced options for advanced people you can grow your self using wixs My favorite feature is the SEO tools so i don’t have to pay some one to get my site more traffic! And being able to send mass emails and upload contacts in the blink of an eye there’s way to much to describe you have to check it outbid your self!! I wish I could use my I pad for it the only down side I came across is you need a decent computer with at least 8 ram for it to run with out crashing but it’s because there’s soooooo much in the program it’s self worth the month and only company that offers a monthly bill so your not paying hundreds out of pocket to start up

So I had issues publishing from my iPad the other day and tried to publish from my phone. Now I have a forum I didn’t want to add to get my blog post up. The blog post finally published from my phone and I shared it to social media but when you click on the link it just asks you to download the app. Further more when I open my website from a browser and not the app my blog post isn’t even there. Navigation through the app is totally confusing. Why do I have to add a forum to publish a blog. I have tto name a category then name a subtitle then name the blog then name the blog post. It makes no sense

Why did I have to come to the limited reviews to see you can only edit your site if it’s an ADI site with this app...? And you know how many people opted to create their site customized starting on a laptop/computer...? It was from that site that I was advised to be able to edit my site with the app, and the app description &amp; photos don’t seem to mention this inconvenient detail... im not that annoyed since you can edit the mobile version on your computer anyways, and I don’t particularly need to edit my site on the go too much, but DEFINITELY a big let down. Especially since I don’t really have the kind of site to reep the benefits from the limited marketing/analytics this app has anyways.

I own a laptop but work mostly from my iPad. I designed my full website on my laptop but need to be able to make frequent design changes from my iPad. Not possible at all with Wix and quite inconvenient. This app only allows you to manage your sites as a marketing tool, but not as a designer.

You guys fixed the bug where no orders show up. I’ve written customer support and never got any response. The contacts and phone app are not user friendly and often require double entry of the contact information. You can not do group texting either. You can not send images via text unless you have an email address. For a large company, their app sure needs lots of improvements.

Heard good things so decided to use Wix for a blog. The interface isn’t that user friendly. You can’t customize layout colors or customize or move font. You can’t customize text boxes. The app won’t let me edit or write blogs at all. When I select to edit blog (already in my app) it tells me to open the app and takes me to the Apple store where I reopen the app in the store and am taken back to the page I was initially on to edit from the start and I go through the whole process over and over, never getting to an interface where I can actually edit or view my blog. There’s minimal room for creativity and it’s turned out to be quite useless for me.

If I try to edit the blog in safari it tells me to get the app. So I got the app, but if I try to edit the blog IN THE APP it tells me I can only edit the blog in the app... that I am currently in and when you click the “Manage in the App” button it takes me to the AppStore to show me the app I need. A.k.a the one I already have an have downloaded.

I really like how easy it is for me to manage this site. I am not the most tech savvy person, but I am able to manage this. I like being able to see my sales and how much income is coming in. I like being notified when customers view my store and order stuff. It helps me be able to promptly fill an order. This is great!

Bit random and stupid but I’ll deal with it until I stop being lazy and switch over to another platform 😴

I built a free portfolio on wix and it was fairly simple. I decided to try and purchase a domain to hook to my site to easily put it on my resume. It gave me 2 options upgrade to a premium account and get a domain for free or purchase a domain separately and in small print it says but you will still have to purchase a premium account to connect the domain (which I did not see at the time, and who would think that even makes sense when it gives you two options). I saw this right after pushing my payment through and instantly contacted support asking for a refund because of course I wasn’t going to upgrade and pay monthly when I thought I was paying an annual fee for my domain. It of course was denied. But come on! To me that is some sort of scam. $30 isn’t the end of the world, but it is upsetting when I know it was just $30 down the drain. Because of this, if I do consider to upgrade one day it will not be with Wix. Good logical customer service goes a long way and not even speaking to anyone but just getting an automated message that says your refund request has been denied is a huge turn off.

We’ve been using Wix for a while, and it’s been very inconsistent. Most recently it’s stopped notifying us through emails that we are receiving bookings. The only way I saw that we were booked yesterday is that I just happened to check the app when I used it to book an appointment. I’ve been missing messages from my clients, and the therapists I have working with us are no longer getting these notifications through email. It’s very important that we receive these bc the app does not send them to my therapist when I book it through the app or from my desk top. So now I’m calling or texting my employees every time I find a booking. I’m exhausted from trying to get a call back because they never call me when I request it. So this review is my last attempt at getting help. Small businesses like ours don’t have time to be glued to a computer all day hoping for a real human to finally respond to them.

Ok so for the end of 2020 I thought to myself hey wouldn’t it be cool if I started a blog before next year begins. After googling some time I see that millions of people have used wix to do just that, since I don’t have access to a computer I download the *very convenient* app that lets you manage your blog all convenient at the palm of your hand. I very much would like to know who ever wrote this apps description term for manage is being the app lets you do nothing, and it most certainly isn’t free from what I could tell either. App first had you create a general webpage based on what you are trying to blog, then has you set up your title for around 50$ definitely not free as mentioned in the app description. After which I stop working on the web page only to see the next morning I have two web pages one set up by the app or I think it’s the app didn’t tell me either way where it came from only that I somehow was the owner of it. Go to delete the second webpage since I only need one only to see the app also doesn’t let you edit anything only create. Google how to get rid of wix account it refers my to the webpage so I try logging into the webpage through my phone only to get a message saying I don’t have an account, which of course makes no sense since I can enter the info in the app and it says I do have an account. This has been an all around bad experience, if you’re looking to go into blogging or any other webpage business do not use this app.

I started using Wix a month ago. Within a few days of playing with it I upgraded so I could have my own domain name and more features, and access to images, etc. Wix is very user friendly both on your computer and the app allows you to do a lot too while keeping an uncluttered look. (Perhaps most amazing is the AI assistant you use on your computer—after doing a short questionnaire about you needs and wants, it whips up a website for you. Frankly I was amazed at what it came up with for me, beautifully designed. You can then do a lot of customization. The more customization you do, the more learning curve. But I’ve been so inspired, I’ve been playing with it a lot. I downloaded the app; it too is to super easy to use with attractive design. Thanks for the blog manager! BUT...here’s the thing: I went to use the app on my iPad Pro and, well, there is no app for the iPad Pro! I was stunned and disappointed. It’s not like the Pro came out yesterday. The Pro would make the perfect work space for Wix—more design features would be possible than with phone app. You could then have pretty full featured Wix app on the go. Please tell me an iPad Pro app will soon be available?!

I read a customer review from over a year ago about an iPad app. Your response was “...not in the near future.” Well, a year later (and in tech terms that’s more like 10 years later) there still doesn’t appear to be one. It would be nice to be able to work the web site from the comfort of my living room rather then being chained to my Mac even longer than I already am trying to do all the other business stuff needed during the day. The app works well on the Mac, although a bit seedy in traversing around the thing and confusing at times when first getting started, but I’m thinking maybe the new site I’ve developed (on my iPad) through another host may lead my subscription to lapse on the WIX app in March. Sorry guys, small business owners (who, let’s face it, mostly use your app) have to stuff all business functions into their day. Developing/maintaining a web site during business hours on the Mac just isn’t a high priority and after 10-14 hours in the studio, it’s time to relax with my iPad. Building my web site is fun, but sitting in an office chair even longer is not.

I have two sites with Wix. With the older one, I am able to reply directly to comments. But with the newer version, I can not. I just want to know who thought it was a great idea to take away the joy of no longer being able to engage with people who are subscribed to your site. Literally, what is the point of having a website where engagement and discussions are encouraged but you can’t even address each person as individuals. I’m incredibly upset and disappointed. With the money I’ve spent to build these sites, it’s heartbreaking to think that you no longer find it important to give people a voice on a website they pay just to be able to have that platform to interact with others. It’s a waste of time, money, and effort if all people can do is look and scroll but can’t even reply back to one another. Never thought I would have regrets with this site but I certainly do now. Not sure who the creative mind was behind it but they certainly didn’t consider the things people loved and made them want to go with Wix to begin with. Why over complicate? Are we not tired of experiencing this feeling. Simplicity is bliss. Now we’re just lost. Whoever the team was before, bring them back. Either make it better or leave it as is.

So at first I loved the app. It was simple to use. I answered all of the surveys with thoughtful insights. I started earning cash and even started getting value surveys, which pay a little more than the regular ones. I haven’t won any of the big payments but I was fine with working my way up. Well I finally hit a little over $10, which is the minimum to cash out but it’s been almost a week and I still haven’t received my payment. So I tried emailing this company over and over again but nobody will respond and I have no idea how to get a hold of customer service. It took a lot of time and effort on my end to get up to $10 doing little $.15-.$25 surveys and would like to get my cash especially since I’m unemployed at the moment and Christmas is about to arrive. This app would be great and I would totally recommend it if they would be available to assist the people who took the time to complete their surveys. Don’t download this app if you are not okay with wasting your time. I use several other apps to make a little cash until I find a job and I always received payment within two to three days in my PayPal account. I’m highly disappointed!

I use Wix for my salon booking appointments. I recently got a suggestion from Wix suggesting that my clients download the app. Now before when my clients would book online I could see everything their name,number, an email an services that they were booking for. Now when they book with the app it doesn’t have the clients name or number. Just the service their getting an email. In the booking part it only shows service. I don’t even see or know who I am servicing. So I don’t know who I’m about to give service too. Although emails are fine I mostly contact my clients by phone. I will not be suggesting for my clients to use the app until it gives me more information on my end about the clients an their appointment. As for now I will continue to lead my clients to the website to book their appointments. Also I had only one conflict where my client scheduled an appointment it gave me the wrong time that she scheduled for. It was an whole hour difference. Her appointment was at 3:30 pm an her confirmation told her the same. But on my notification calendar it said 4:30 pm . I hope this doesn’t happen again. It was an inconvenience for us both to have different times.
Good app... when it works

This app is very good for helping me manage my bakery. It helps me keep track of orders and customers. But it’s only gets three stars because the tech support is atrocious. When the app decides NOT to work, and NOT to send me notifications, I miss orders. That’s terrible for business. When I troubleshoot and it doesn’t work, the next logical step is to reach out to tech support. I spent 48 minutes on the phone. Half the time was spent on hold, the other half was spent just trying to get the support employee to understand what my problem is, which takes a very long time with people who don’t speak English. My problem didn’t get resolved, after all that time on the phone I was told “it must be a glitch” (yea, you don’t say), and that someone would get back to me later. I didn’t receive an email back until three whole days later, and the email was simply a screenshot of how to turn on notifications. As if I’m so stupid that after three days I wouldn’t consider that maybe notifications wasn’t turned on. Horrible customer service y’all. Really bad.
Y’all have poor communication, and the app needs to be fixed!

When I first started using this app I really like it, now it’s becoming a annoyance and inconvenience with the problems that come with it. I blocked out last month when I needed a break for working and it would not let me unblock so I couldn’t use the app, I even emailed and received a response saying someone will get back to me but no one did. I just had to wait until my block was over for my clients to schedule. It is now a month later I’m trying to block off a certain time and it’s practically doing the same thing but this time I need a special time blocked every week and it’s not even acknowledging it. It’s still showing my entire schedule is available even when I uncheck the Wednesday box that whole day is still available to book. Another thing is when my client go to styles the pic is cut off it would be great if I continue to keep the app if you could show the full picture that would be great. Other than that i haven’t had problems but those are major problems and could affect my client relationship.

I’ve been using Wix for 5 years now. The app has been incredibly helpful in managing my therapy private practice. I was able to easily see my bookings calendar and schedule appointments for my clients. After the new update, it is incredibly difficult to find my bookings calendar. One page title “my bookings” says that I have no appointments, and then redirects me to another page that shows how many appointments I actually have for the week. It used to be very easy to see my calendar - one click and I’m there. Now I have to click through pages and pages to find my appointments. I don’t know why that changed! Another problem I have with the app is that it constantly gets stuck showing all of my notifications. The app will say I have three notifications, so I’m thinking I have three appointments. I click into the app and go from page to page to find nothing. I mark all of my alerts as “read” and close out of the app - it still says I have three notifications. I can understand that any big app update can have bugs, but I don’t think the development of the most recent app had small businesses in mind.
Good but they get you with the small print

I built a free portfolio on wix and it was fairly simple. I decided to try and purchase a domain to hook to my site to easily put it on my resume. It gave me 2 options upgrade to a premium account and get a domain for free or purchase a domain separately and in small print it says but you will still have to purchase a premium account to connect the domain (which I did not see at the time, and who would think that even makes sense when it gives you two options). I saw this right after pushing my payment through and instantly contacted support asking for a refund because of course I wasn’t going to upgrade and pay monthly when I thought I was paying an annual fee for my domain. It of course was denied. But come on! To me that is some sort of scam. $30 isn’t the end of the world, but it is upsetting when I know it was just $30 down the drain. Because of this, if I do consider to upgrade one day it will not be with Wix. Good logical customer service goes a long way and not even speaking to anyone but just getting an automated message that says your refund request has been denied is a huge turn off.

I have been testing and exploring using the one mobile/Wix app for months. When I first started I didn’t roll it out because there wasn’t the capability to monitor who joins our community and how. Now there is and when COVID hit, I thought, the app is a perfect solution for our growing community of 1300+. But I’ve not been able to launch because for over two weeks now, we have not been able to get the “groups” feature to work—it doesn’t show up on member pages for some odd reason and WIX hasn’t been able to resolve things. It’s been extremely frustrating. They are seemingly elevating the issue now but it took a good 1 1/2 weeks for me to not have to re-explain the issue all over, provide all of the same information, etc with new people each time. Yet still, I don’t have any answers or a solution and we are in our third week! Has anyone else run into issues with “groups?” I’d rather Wix remove the option of having them if they can’t get them to work altogether.

I switched to wix from a previous booking site because I wanted “my own” website for the convenience of scheduling clients. First off, i find it annoying that clients aren’t able to book multiple services at once it really is a hassle for people to have to go back and schedule for another service/time and take up multiple appointments slots when they could’ve just done one large time frame. Secondly, I don’t like that a card is not able to be kept on file. A lot of people don’t want to enter their card to leave a deposit then have to still pay the other half with a different form of payment. The app itself is just super slow. I’ve set up appointments for my clients on my end and the app freezes and my client ends up getting a bunch of the same confirmation email along with multiple appointments being scheduled for the same time/day on my calendar. I also don’t like that I have to setup a number in order to text my clients, I already have a dedicated work number and do not wish to create a new one. As of now I’ve been having to go to the client profile, clicking on “edit” then having to copy &amp; paste into a new text message. That is probably the most annoying thing about this app. &amp; I’ve gotten a lot of feedback about clients being confused and how to register for their account or signup to become a member on my site. Overall this is just OK. I’ve only had my website/app since November and I’m really leaning towards switching back to my previous booking site.

I was first introduced to the wix through friends who started their businesses on the app. It seemed so easy to maintain. Now I am launching my own business on Wix and I love it. I highly recommend. The only 2 areas where I would like to make a suggestion are 1. On the website version I’m able to separate my Shops by category. However on the App version , those settings don’t transfer over &amp; I am unable to keep all my products separated. For example, I have beauty tab and then I have an arts/crafts tab. Instead of ONLY beauty products being under Beauty tab and ONLY crafts under the crafts tab. The app lists ALL my products under both tabs. I would like the app version to be just as organized as the website version. 2. I would like to be able to play around more with various font styles, colors, and sizes.

The app great. It’s connection with the internet horrible. My friend and I were working on it but it’s cuts out every 10 minutes of usage. I know it’s not my internet connection that’s bad, because my computer works fine, my other apps that need internet work fine. So I think it’s the app. I wish I could show pictures, but I can’t. I have a lot of members, but I can’t update with the app cutting out this fast. I always have to accept and decline groups. It’s hard when you have only 10 minutes. Other than that: It’s great, I feel professional, even if I’m not selling things or not making sales. I feel like I’m doing something good. Wix is great place to work from, it’s easy and simple. They always trying to improve. Also I’m broke, so I sadly can’t buy a domain but ya. Wix is a great tool for the rich and the broke. I made my site and mobile site with it. I still hate Wix ads, still their not enjoyable at all. They’re really annoying. Wix is soooo easy for my lazy-*** I love how also everything is free, and I have unlimited pages, unlike my past with making websites. Which I was also too broke to get a domain for. I’m so sorry formatting this like a YT comment but yeah. Wix change your ads please. Hopefully my internet connection comes back (forever). WIX IS THE BEST WEBSITE MAKER EVER. Can’t edit my site

As a website builder, Wix is really great. It’s easy to learn and it’s very customizable. I’ve been using it since 2017. However, the app does nothing for me, at least at this time on iPad. I downloaded it because my laptop broke a few months ago so all I have right now are my iPad and phone. You can’t edit from a mobile browser and now I can’t edit in the app. I’m not asking to do any major reorganizing, I just have some text I need to update, prices, and maybe upload some new photos to my gallery. But the only thing the wix app is currently capable of is checking on social and message notifications (which I have social apps and notifs for so don’t need that) and there is a blog manager. So if I was just managing a blog this would probably be fine. But I’m screwed right now because my desktop has been out of commission, and yeah, public computers still not available due to covid so can’t even go to the library to get stuff done. I truly can’t wait until I’m proven wrong here so I can raise my rating. And if I’m wrong now and just stupid and missing something, please help!
Mobile view lacking

I find it completely absurd that after all this time, we still can’t customize the mobile view. 75%+ of my visitors are using mobile devices and they need to scroll down pages and pages of full size photos to see what they want. Would it be so difficult to just give us two columns?! A grid to make viewing easier?! I’m sure I’m losing sales this way as the average visitor will lose patience. Also, they click on a product and see the title in humongous letters and a teeny tiny product photo. Can’t edit that either. There are a few other things that are absurdly behind the times like the tax setup. You can’t separate by category. So it’s completely inefficient/useless unless you only sell ONE type of product. You should at least be able to compartmentalize by collection. That way I could make jewelry taxable and other items non-taxable. They need to work on this; tax is a huge deal. Meanwhile I stay because it’s easiest to customize my site with their editor. Did not like Shopify’s editor at all.

I don’t even know where to begin. I made my business and I can’t believe how easy it was. This is the best website maker EVER!!! It has a lot of features and templates. Did I mention a lot of them are FREE!!!!!!!?? Definitely get this app if you have a business that you are starting and needs a website. I love all of the product options. I can put what sizes you can chose from when you are getting a product and you can put the colors of the product that you can chose from. It also comes with pictures to design your website with. Even though not all of the pictures are free, I still find it really cool. When I was making my website, it was really fun! I really want to pay for the Memberships, but I don’t have the money. This app I would recommend. 5/5 stars.

Wix was relatively easy....but very time consuming. I was able to get my site up in just 2 days (about 4 hours the 1st day and maybe 6 hours the 2nd day) part of that time was spent creating the privacy policy and my first Facebook business page and 1st FB ad that people can click and be directed to my Wix page. I just want customer service to be here for me when I hit road blocks....as I tried building a page with a different company, with Ipage years ago, then I had to buy a domain on godaddy, then I had to get a business email with Gmail.....sooo convoluted. Wix allows customers to send me emails, allows bookings, perfect for my business. Only one complaint, the hone page contact form doesn’t have a spot for a customer to input their phone number.

App still not blog friendly. Cannot manipulate photos with the blog or access photos that have already been uploaded. Feedback Based on Update from Wix (below): 1) It would be nice to be able to do more than type up a blog on my mobile device. The app allows you to embed photos, but does not position the photo correctly in the blog or allow the user to manipulate the size or location. A problem for most blogs. 2) Wix failed to address the lack of functionality on iPad. Even in portrait mode it only opens one way on the screen (flip it over and you get an upside down app - very funny). With nearly 81 million iPad users, it might be worthwhile to fix it. Update: Feedback from WIX team: Thanks for sharing your feedback. The Wix Mobile App lets you manage your site and business (store, blog, hotel or booking system) directly from your mobile device. WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT EVER - Please Read

Wix authorizes my account to accept credit card payments using the new Wix payment method. After 45 days and selling over $10,000 worth of products, I realized Wix had not paid me a single penny. The un authorized my account. Its been 75 days now, and I still have not got a penny from them. I had to shut down my site. Move it to a new platform and launch my site. I then had to call over 100 customers. Refund them. Wait five days, and they send them a new invoice to pay. It caused me to lose 14 days of work. I was only able to recover $7000 of the $10,000. They have responded to 3 emails out of the 25 I have sent in the last 45 days. Their phone support team says the department which handles this issue does not have phone support and that I just need to wait five days for them to re-verify my account. If you want the slowest responsive website ever with the worst customer support in the world, use Wix. They will not disappoint you when it comes to letting you down!

I’m usually a little hesitant with some apps because they aren’t worth the time. However, I decided to go ahead with this app since I have all the other things connected under the premium account. I had just downloaded the app, logged in and on the computer side was doing some back end adjustments when a notification popped up that someone was on my site, what page, and for how long. OMGoodness. Blown away! I said to myself, “ain’t no way..” so me being me, published my background edits and went on the site live and BOOM! Notification pops up on que. Haven’t even explored the entire app yet but I’m excited for now and the improvements that will come for this app. Wix have continued to improve year after year. Keep it up!
Unhappy with update

I love wix for our websites - so easy to build beautiful websites. And the previous app version, while limited in capabilities, was very simple to navigate and intuitive. However, this new version - while it clearly has expanded capabilities (the reason I have two stars instead of one) - it falls short on the basics. I see a badge that I have a new notification and two things have happened on separate occasions: 1. I have a new message from my website contact form that I cannot access, because although I can see a preview of the first line in my notifications list, tapping on it won’t open it, or 2. I have no idea what the notification is about, because once I’ve opened the app, and discovered there’s no new message, I don’t know where else to look for any new information. Please fix these basic issues so I can amend my rating. Wix is better than this app version demonstrates.

I absolutely love Wix. I enjoy maneuvering though the site... The ability to edit easily, the options offered, as well as the fundamental straightforwardness the site offers. I ENJOY this compared to the many other sites out there. Now I have the functionality through my phone..?!?!?!! GREAT! This is the reason I ONLY prefer wix. Seriously, I have been able to create beautiful sites, editing has been easy and exciting... Wix is VERY INNOVATIVE! I enjoy all this site and the team behind this amazing site. You are always allowing us to grow with you by offering ways we can grow. I encourage all to use Wix bcz they are innovative and amazing. Frustrating

I have an iPad Pro that can handle heavy tasks, but the app keeps forcing me to have to edit via a computer. I can’t even open safari to request a desktop page and edit my website there (which I would’ve thought would’ve been added as an option. What’s the point of the app if you can’t do anything on it. I’m giving two stars because the are like two things o liked and don’t have a month using the application, maybe the desktop interface and experience is better, but as far as this app goes, it’s too limiting and a pain to use. Matter of fact I’ll change it to one star. Squarespace is a lot easier to get started. And as a plus I can edit on a browser right on my iPad and have mobile and tablet mode I can switch through all without closing any windows. Barely using both services for a week and Wix is extremely limited when it comes to customizing a page and making out your own. Which is a shame
Does not work with laptop/main site

I have spent days trying to get any photo to upload to an album and successful only once...every other time it just hangs on 0%. The one picture I did manage to get uploaded did in fact show up in my photo album, but then it couldn’t be accessed in my media files for use elsewhere. Neither could I get it even to load to my media section. I don’t know what the disconnect is but I downloaded this app to be able to post photos and blogs from my phone/iPad, and if it can’t even manage to do that it isn’t worth the time to even download the app. The number of hours I have put into trying to make this function work is ridiculous. The help pages are woefully inadequate and when I finally reached tech support their solution was to transfer photos from my phone to my laptop and upload them from there...hardly a robust, sustainable solution. Suggest Wix remove this from App Store until they have a proven tool.
Invoicing

I really only have one complaint about the app!! I can’t send an invoice to my customer. Example- I post my product on social media with the instructions to comment their email address to be sent an invoice for products. Then I have to dry out my lap top go to the main site create an invoice and then on top of that it doesn’t take the products out of my inventory. So then I have to go into my inventory and edited it manually. It would be better if you could create an invoice from the app and be able to select the products that are being sold and have that take them out of my inventory!!! If you could add this function it would really be helpful. I am on my phone more than I am my laptop. Thank you
The newest update and other features

I don’t know why things were changed but on the newest update, it took away some of the chat features and it’s a little disappointing. I was able to see when a customer came on my site, the. I was able to click on the comment chat bubble to see their city and what page were they visiting on the site for analytic purposes. But after the newest update, it doesn’t show up and when I click on the chat feature, it doesn’t show the customer. And this was a big thing for my business before this newest update. Also, what will help my business is “buy now pay later” option. I can’t get that because none of the company’s work with Wix which is a huge disappointment. I really really like Wix but it’s causing me to lose money so I have to make some decisions about my website platform.

I love wix. They seem to have thought of everything. Just when I think I have a question they no one has possible thought of, I can google it and wix already figured it out. I really can say enough great things. Wix on mobile is great and thoughtful too! They include everything you need to do on the go like scan barcodes to send shipping confirmation emails, add a product, upload and edit pictures from your phone, get a sale in person... they’ve thought of everything really! The only thing is I wish we were able to customize the subscriber login screen but that’s really the only thing.

I’ve been enjoying all that comes with having a wiz website, for sure. But the app does nothing more for me than have a chat room to talk to clients who message the chat box on my website. All the other tools they advertise are cumbersome and I don’t use them/know how to use them. I don’t have a blog for my business so it’s useless. I’d much rather like to be able to edit and control my website in it’s entirety like I can from a desktop. Email marketing/editing, editing my site, and everything else. The least used tool is the blog. And since I’m moving away from desktop to an iPad Pro, it would be much appreciated if I can have full function and full reign over my wiz website editing and tools on an iPad OS interface. Even in safari I can’t edit text or delete boxes in the email campaign.

I’m giving this a one star, because it didn’t correctly cross sync with the website. Last evening I started a blog draft on the app, I then went to work on the draft some more the next day. Saved it. And later that evening went to continue working on it in the app only to find that it did not cross sync with the website and in turned replaced my draft to the one from the night before. I then went back to the website and to my dismay saw the older version. I just lost an hour’s worth of work and there’s currently no way for me to revert it back to the version from earlier today. Hence the one star until this is resolved. :( Also irritated that submitting a help ticket is so difficult. I don’t want to talk to a bot when I already spent 30min looking through the help forum. If I couldn’t find a solution taking 30min and browsing through the help forum, I don’t think the bot will either.

I’m gonna have to agree with many others; the site is harder now to navigate. Not sure what happened to the ability to edit and port in the main site blog. I have been looking for about 30 minutes before I gave up and decided to see if you had posted info about it. All I see is a social part which makes no difference to me since it is just a portfolio site at the moment. Before I could edit my site but it seems I can only edit the test part of the site that is a book club I made just to see what it was like. I have no ability to delete it from the app. I don’t even know how anyone would ever find it on my site anyway. It’s really just supposed to be a place to write snippets of writings for the blog and writings for the main portfolio but I cannot edit either of these now. Very confused and disappointed. Not all of us want social nonsense to mire our work.

I’ve been with WIX for a couple of years and am now considering switching to another host because of WIX current customer support. When I first joined it was very easy to contact someone for help on making adjustments to my website. Now they require you to submit a ticket and it’s not 24/7. It’s also hard to get to the page of even submitting a ticket. For me this is a big deal bc I like to be able to communicate clearly and efficiently and quickly. Chatting and email takes forever to resolve. My schedule is very inconsistent so I need someone there when I’m ready. I also would love to have a search engine bar on my website and WIX does not provide that layout option. Hope they can make these improvements and move forward instead of backwards.
The Gallery part of the app is a major issue

I downloaded this app because I though it would be easy and fun to make just a funny website for friends and family and all of the features seem to work great, everything being nicely laid out and not confusing, but the gallery is bugged, or the instructions on how to use it are just extremely confusing if you can find them at all. More specifically I can create galleries but not upload them onto the site, I can upload media from the manage tab, and nothing happens. And whenever it says to use the Pro Gallery it brings me to the AppStore as if it’s an add on that I need to purchase to use yet the features are already there in the app. I’m just all around confused when it comes to the gallery and images on this app.
Wix for restaurant set up

First of all it works but in a limited way. I own a restaurant and set up my wix website to receive online orders. I also connected my thermal printer via bluetooth, and i wish Wix engineers can give the owner ability to change printing set up such as “auto printing orders”. I use Doordash as well, one thing I liked the most about them is that they allows user to set confirm orders automatically, and prints multiple (you can select up to 3 copies) receipts automatically as well. Wix app doesn’t have that option and I have to manually accept each orders and print them twice manually as well. Which it slow down our process of accepting order and placing orders in. I really hope wix developers read this and make some changes. Then I will be really happy with it.

I used to be able to work from this app quite well. I had no issues of the app closing mid-listing and it uploaded all photos so well. This worked so well for me, because I mostly work form my phone. I’m not sure what happened but now my app shuts down right in the middle of a listing for my store, I have huge troubles downloading pictures, and it’s all very frustrating. It’s the most frustrating because I do pay quite a lot to use Wix for web hosting my site, and I NEED to be able to work from my phone. Can you got back to whatever was working before, because this is driving me crazy and making life harder, and sales lower because I don’t even list items in my shop anymore. I just use Etsy. If I am not using my website because it’s hard to list items, why am I even paying you guys?

So I’m over had not too long ago deleted the secondary wiz app where You can manage your platforms/but I went to download it again as I wanted to update photos etc and low and behold I download this imposter of an app! So disappointed! Because as a small business owners of several businesses that app allowed me to manage all my sites /blogs/chat feature/mail etc all in a place that was convenient. Boy was most platform wiz developers happy youguys came up with that. But now You have this new app that’s not even close to what is needed. Why create a forum? That’s what Facebook is literally with groups/chat with customers directly we were already able to do that before. Now it seems personal more personal than it needs to be. I mean I have been an avid user and wiz developer for more than almost 15+ years and loved the interface and accessibility and ease of the wix platform and loved where it was headed with the previous app. This app is not useful. You can’t edit your site/upload photos/nothing important to business owners who You mainly market too and WE need ease of a platform. Smh! Please please I’m begging You to fix this! It was not broken. 😳🤯😡 I’m just like I just built another site and now I’m thinking of moving to another platform. Wow! Please please put it back to how it was!

I am extremely disappointed in just how hard it is to customize my website. The app might as well not even exist because my site never loads for me to even try to edit it. I don’t like that I can’t change the colors of the templates to suit my brand’s color theme. Or, that you can’t switch things around within the layout to be where you want them, only change the layout to options that don’t really look all that great. I don’t know if it’s just because it’s on mobile, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having the app at your fingertips to be able to edit your site and still not be able to edit your site the way you need to. It’s sad to say but I left Wix because I thought the old set up was kind to work with but this is way worse, at least when I published my site before it was how I wanted it.
Not great for analytics

I love the analytics on the wix website. We track visitors from all over the world for bookings (musician website). The site on the browser is fairly accurate. But what the heck with this app???? I like that it gives me notifications when someone is on the site, but 50% of the time the location is wrong and doesn’t match the analytics on the site. Then, if you log onto the app, there is no where can you find a list of visitors. The only way I can see what page someone is on is if I happen to catch them online and open the app from the notification. Still can’t track the pages they went to, but if I’m lucky I can catch their current page. No list of daily visitors. Disappointed, because we use analytics daily for info into who is tracking emails, where requests are coming from etc. if you’d fix this and model it after your website that’d be amazing.

Do not use WIX. I have been a customer for at least 10 years. The company double charged me for 5 of those years, -thousands of dollars. (When the chargers are 9 months apart, and doesn’t show what your being charged for... you can miss it! Like me) Then last year, 3 MORE unauthorized charges! $204, $49 &amp; $49 and for other people’s websites!! They refunded, one $204 charge but the others they refuse. How can they you ask? It’s not even for my websites or my accounts! The phone calls were over 3 hours. One call I waited on hold for 1 hour and 39 minutes!!!! Just on hold, even after talking to someone for 20 min!! Then I had to wait weeks for email replies. Terrible company. Terrible service. They will screw you even if they are in the wrong. COVID-19 has made so many small businesses struggle, and WIX charged me for websites that aren’t even mine, and won’t refund the money. SHAME ON YOU WIX! Do not use this company.

I’ve been using Wix to build an online art portfolio, and it’s been pretty easy to use and has given me really nice results. I just wish there was a way for people to add comments to individual images, because the chat box is really for real time interaction and I don’t want to create a forum and make it so people have to make an account on my site just to leave a thought on something. I’ve also been experiencing a glitch in the Wix app that keeps me from being able to change my account name, the “private” one that for some reason is the name displayed on my website? Huh? So those fixes would be great to see but otherwise it’s a great service.

I love the Wix app, except for the MESSAGE feature. I can’t find where to turn it OFF on my mobile nor laptop on my website. I’ve called Wix to ask and was placed on hold for a ridiculous amount of time. When I have CHAT OFF, I don’t want messages to still go through my Wix app on my mobile (that defeats the purpose, to me). When I want messages to my mobile, I’d have the CHAT ON. My chat is turn off, when my schedule does not permit that “RIGHT NOW YOU ANSWER” urgency. The MESSAGE option still gives me that feeling and I can’t turn it off, like I can do the CHAT option. I have ample amount of other communication methods for my business. The MESSAGE feature is not needed for me, on my mobile app.

I downloaded this app in order to chat with potential customers online. I have a lot of issues with the “customer online” notification leading me to nothing. I always think well maybe there is an update which makes the notifications in the app work better, and maybe there is an upgrade that makes it easier to find who is currently on line...but the upgrades never fix the issue and there seems to be an upgrade almost every other day?? I use the app specifically to chat with online customers looking to place an order or get more information, and I really wish that this particular part of the app didn’t have so many issues. It should be easy to find the “customers online”
Online Restaurant Orders

We’ve used Wix for a while now. Their online system was great until they took down their restaurants app and merged it with their Wix app. Ever since then we’ve had so many problems. The orders are always delayed, we used to immediately receive the orders our customers placed online. We’ve also had so many orders that don’t show up until we refresh it ourselves. The biggest feature missing is the option to print. Printing allows us to attach the ticket to the customers order and they can pick up the right order. It also showed us if they paid online or not. Now that feature is completely missing. All of this has caused us a great amount of trouble and embarrassment in front of our customers. Hopefully they either fix this app or let us use the old Restaurants app.

I love the app and the capabilities of creating your own members area that operates like social media platform. The problem I have is how glitchy this app is. Comments won’t load, notifications are incorrect. I will get notified that someone commented on a blog post, but the comment won’t load. I’ll get notified that someone “liked your comment” on blog post, but it will be one that I didn’t comment on. When typing to post through the app, the screen jumps around and I can’t tell what I’m typing. There are glitches everywhere. This could be an excellent app though, and I’m going to power through the bugs in hopes that they eventually get smoothed out.

I understand that there are limitations on a mobile app that there aren’t when on a desktop, but my goodness. I can’t type a blog post on my phone before it stops scrolling and going back to the top. Sometimes, an idea comes to you when you’re away from a computer and you want to get it all out then. You’d think with the app you would be able to, but you can’t see anything you write past maybe one paragraph. I gave the app three stars because I could check my inbox and blog normally, but as for creating content, if you’re away from a computer jot whatever you have to say down in your notes and wait until you reach a computer because it’s almost impossible on the app.
WIX Advertises Their Brand Not Yours On App

I would give the app in general a five star if it didn’t misrepresent. When you log into the app, WIX has its “own place” front and center already by default. As a business, I don’t want to see your brand overshadowing my brand. Please make provisions where the paying customers can brand their own app without your name being so instructive. It looks more of a WIX APP instead of the client’s business app. Especially when you first log in. I want my customers to log straight into “My Place”, not yours. And please leave the decision for me to decide if I want you as a neighbor or anyone else for that matter. It’s smart that you’ve taken the opportunity to freely advertise on every business that signs up. If we pay to remove your WIX AD on our websites, shouldn’t we be afforded the same opportunity on the app?

I really wish there was an option to add product info to the ‘additional info section’ while using the mobile app. You guys only offer a description option on the app which is inconvenient for those who travel &amp; need to add more detailed info about their store products. Whenever I’m on the go, I’m forced to post products without an info section until I’m able to make it to my desktop computer. I use this section to enter all of the important info about what I’m selling to help my customers. Aside from this the app is functional - I’m able to edit all other fields on the mobile app. Please consider adding this feature in the near future. Thanks.

The app itself is useful for receiving customer chat notifications on your phone and being able to respond quickly. That’s about it. Everything else never loads and you can’t access anything. Also be wary of having your company’s site through wix in the first place of you need to use Wixpayments for processing. Customer service for Wixpayments is well below par. They also randomly deactivate your account for various reasons and find excuses to hold on to your money. When they do activate your account they will make your next transfer date weeks out instead of making an ach payment every Monday as their site states. Just long enough for them to randomly deactivate your account again and take 7 business days to get back to you. Total nightmare!
