Not recommended - poor direction from store rep in setting up the account and compounded by broken promises from support to address and fix the issue to no avail! After four days I still don’t have the account active/working so we’re going to cancel service and move on…no wonder the rating is so low!!

Overall, I am a big fan of T-Mobile. I’ve enjoyed the service completely… Well almost completely. This app is awful. I am trying to run my small business, which used a landline for years, through Digits. When I first signed up a couple years ago, this app was OK. It wasn’t great but it was much better than it is now. And since the last update in April, suddenly I get no less than 25 spam calls a day. One after another after another. I have no idea why. It’s incredibly annoying! When I finally do get a call that I am waiting for, the delay is so annoying that it’s almost impossible to have a conversation.Then there’s the voicemail. I will start playing a voicemail, put it on speaker and yet I have to hold my ear directly onto the phone to hear. And I can barely hear it then. And this is on speaker! I don’t understand why T-Mobile won’t fix this app. I think I’ll be heading back to AT&T. If they don’t fix it, I’m not going to have a choice. It’s hurting my business.

I answered a call and the call didn’t hang up. I try to play messages and most of the time the voicemail won’t play. This is the only app on iPhone that does work at all. This is also the only time I’ve ever written a review for an app which speaks volumes about how messed up it is. Even the recorded VM’s are garbled. Please fix.

The IOS version of this app I awful. The app says I don't have any lines when I log in, and it asks me to add a new one which requires me to pay $10 a month instead of letting me use my current number. However, on the Android version, when I log in with the same username and password, my current number shows up, and I can use that one to make and receive calls. Developers of this app, please fix the IOS version of this app so that I can use my current number on it like I can on the Android version.

My device does not receive any short code texts - even from known contacts like the bank. Makes it reaaalllly difficult to access security codes needed to reinstall apps after one’s phone is stolen. Incoming texts that do go through have no notifications - not even the little number badge on the app. Incoming calls? Yeah, they don’t come through. This is a somewhat dangerous feature to fail when you have very ill loved ones. Not impressed.
Group Message Preview

Works pretty good for what I need it for. The only thing missing is the preview in notifications doesn’t preview the message when a group text comes in, it just says “new message.” Single person messages show a preview. How can we get that functionality as it helps with Apple Watch notifications and the ability to read them on the watch.

Can’t send photos/videos. Emojis and “” come out as a weird code. The only reason I’m still using it is because T-Mobile has some network bug that has me missing a ton of texts on my iPhone messaging app/messages I send from there not being received. At least with DIGITS, I don’t miss anything. But that’s the only positive.
Group messages and characters

This app works only when it wants to work. I use this as my work phone line and I can send group messages other times it does not, even after deleting the app reinstalling and signing back in. Happens at least once a month. Also, characters are not sending correctly and once sent it shows up in code. This app needs to be consistent. Please make it better!

I wish this app would work as intended. It is the perfect solution for my son. He uses his iPad 8th gen everywhere he goes and we would still be able to be contacted by his brother who is not an iPhone user. Please improve this and you will gain a lot of loyal customers. Than you.

Sound is terrible on WiFi and Cell service. Sound fluctuates quite often when speaking with someone. It drops the sound where you can barely hear them so I turn up the volume and then it adjusts again and blows out my eardrum. Definitely not great but seems like digits may be on their low priority list as it’s not generating as much revenue for the company.

I use this apo because I’m currently in Brazil, I don’t receive my texts, when I want to get a verification code I have to make them call and then maybe I’ll get the phone call. 60% of the phone calls I make get disconnected before I can finish, when I receive phone calls sometimes I can’t hear anything but I know they can hear me. And when I make phone calls sometimes it doesn’t even ring. This app just needs an update badly I know I can’t be the only one having these issues.

I thought this was a good idea. The concept is and when it works works well. However, it has dropped calls and stopped getting incoming calls. Now everytime I log try to get into the app it shuts me out. Now I have to call TMobile and I am tired because I use it for business and its a constant thing.

This app has not worked properly since we switched from Verizon to TMobile. I never receive calls on multiple devices like I should. Each update seems to screw everything up. Going back to Verizon ASAP.
Choppy Interference Poor Sound

I’ve been using this Digits line for the past 3 months. It has been “meh”. My biggest struggle has been the choppy interference I get when speaking with someone. Do not anticipate clear quality communication. I’ve reached out to T-Mobile if there is something that I can do to improve the reception. Also, the contacts is yucky. I strongly dislike when these platforms automatically import your main phone’s contacts. I did not want my friends and family imported to my digits line.

The app crashes. You don’t get notifications so you end up missing calls and texts. Then you have badge notifications that you’ve missed 17 calls and when you go to look at them, it won’t show you! A HUGE waste of money for my small business.

The Absolute Worst Ap Ever

The only thing it does ok is allows you to have a second line on your phone keeping it separate from your regular messages and calls. And that’s about. What’s make this ap complete garbage: 1. You can not search message content, the search function searches only the contact names. 2. You can not send pics from your camera roll or when you try to take a pic from the ap camera function. You have to copy your pic from you photo library and then paste in a message to send it. 3. Can’t blind copy groups of contact any messages. Would be a great function to mass text contacts blindly because I use the line with this ap for work only. 4. When I changed phone none of the old text messages copied over. The history was completely gone. T-mobile should be ashamed to have their name attached to this ap. Digits is complete trash.

This "feature" works so poorly that it's a borderline scam. In addition to rampant UX and usability issues, numbers seem to be de-registered from DIGITS randomly and periodically (i.e., it just stops working). This is so poorly done and has been for so long that it's not even worth trying to troubleshoot. Just stay away.

I first got this app in 2017 and it wasn’t perfect but it definitely isn’t the trash box it is now. Every time the app works a little bit, the developers send out an update that makes it worse than before. Last year for MONTHS I received anonymous phone calls because there was a glitch in THEIR system. I would get calls at random ALL day and night. The best advice they gave me, log out. 🙄I use this as a business line( that I need to be able to see the distinction). Finally when the calls stopped and it started working they sent out another update and the only way it works is by using cellular data but it defeats the purpose of the app because it no longer uses the lines as their own. Please please please save yourself the trouble, stress and headache; Get another phone line and not digits..

Ringer needs a timeout

Sometimes the ringer for an incoming call keeps going long after I answered the call on my phone or the caller has hung up. Today when I got home the ringer was still going from a call I had answered 45 minutes prior. Please have your software engineers study well known coding standards and follow them. Every notification must have a timeout!
DIGITS fails to work!

DIGITS does not work and it disabled the phones that are part of the DIGITS function. So the phone numbers used in DIGITS cannot be answered or name any calls. Also you cannot set the phone numbers needed for Primary and Secondary lines if they are part of DIGITS. Looking now at how to do this on iPhone so I can ditch DIGITS.

Love the idea but need lots of fixes. Must have the latest IOS to use it and then you will get dropped from every other call even when you have full signal data or wifi.

Update on last review::::::: Still has too many issues. They changed it so at least now u know who is calling which line (for those of us with multiple lines) but there’s times I do not want my phone to ring from the app. I just want to go to the app and see a missed call. Why isn’t there a option to “turn off ringer”. So obsolete . The last few days my phone has rung normally and I answered to find all these calls weren’t even to my line they were to the digits line but come up as a call to my actual number smh. They need to replace their developers...... They need to put the do not disturb option back and if someone from my phone plan that I have in digits app, if I call them, it should NOT call me back on the other line Can’t hear calls more then half the time when I answer in the app or dial from the app it’s a hit & miss Since the new update, every time I call my children (whose numbers are on my acct) I getan “anonymous” call back EVERY TIME it rings two sec and it doesn’t let u answers

Developers: could you please simply make this app fully functional and THEN... Leave it functional! I LOVE digits app, when it works. Otherwise flustered Stop constantly breaking it, my user experience after replacing my iPhone 📲 with my iPad with Digits App. Once I was fully relying on this ‘SoftwarePhone’ Most recent update, when I place a call the other party Hears the call RING once then the Digits App Randomly Ends the call after 1 ring outgoing call ABRUPTLY ends my call... despite being with or without an answer. Continually occurs, presently. Very frustrated. With iPad/Digits app open, over 20 calls missed when called on Digits app (notifications are ON). When same caller calls a moment later via a alternative ‘SoftwarePhone’ on same device/iPad, I hear first notification and/or calls function well. When it has worked in the past, it was fabulous to have a replacement for my phone. Now this is my primary phone, plus I have multiple lines of service Please just make it work, then stop ‘adding more’ “features”... Leave it working! Please avoid any ‘non-fully functional’ app on App store, when current version of software really actually is in BETA, due to major errors/impacting primary function.

This app is trash honestly. T-mobile sold it to me as if it would be so helpful in managing a second line on one phone. ITS HORRIBLE!!! I have my own business and use my business line with Digits. I have missed soooooooo many phone calls and messages because they don’t come through. I’ve reached out to T-Mobile to fix it, they trouble shoot and the problem returns again. AVOID AT ALL COST. Just sacrifice and get a 2nd phone.

Shame on me for letting the Digits team continually try to fix this for me. I tried using this app for a second line to balance running a small business vs using my phone for my primary job. This app is ladened with nothing but problem after problem after problem after problem after problem after problem....infinitus repeat! I am CONSTANTLY uninstalling and reinstalling, changing security settings, running through WiFi vs LTE......short of practicing some kind of sacrificial ritual to an esoteric demigod, I’ve done everything I can to keep this app going. It is NOT reliable in any manner. So, now I’ll be shelling out yet even more money for a new phone and paying for a new line on my account because this app just can’t cut it. The only good thing about this app: it’s free. Everything else? Total sham!

It’s really insulting that T-Mobile charges you for an app that literally does not work. I’ve had this app since May 2020 it has not worked the entire time. It does not notify you when you have a missed call it does not show as a missed call the only reason I know I’ve missed calls because it says I have 29 voicemails doesn’t say the number that called. It does not receive text messages bot does it send texts. Not really sure what the point of this app is since it doesn’t work it’s should be free it should be free it should be free I’m just gonna keep saying the fact that they even charge you for this app and it doesn’t work is ridiculous.The fact that they won’t allow you to sync it with any other platforms such as I plum is also ridiculous. I pay for this service it does not do what it needs to do. I’ve missed extremely important things that I’ve been waiting on because of this faulty app. Don’t offer a paid service that doesn’t work. Clearly based off the reviews this is not a single issue just me it’s clearly an issue with the app so perhaps may we don’t charge us until the app works I will be contacting you for a refund

This app I have had for several years at one time it work okay not great but ok. Know after having it a few years it’s nothing but problems. I have several lines. This app won’t allow me to add one of my other lines. It allows for three lines and I have to active on it and they don’t always work. I just wish that the system work work and be user friendly.

Just test out the app and it partially worked. Missing important text from banking institutions like other reviewer has complained. Sad App reliability especially when I have high trust in one of the largest Mobile carrier to handle my business.

I have had digits for about two years now, its been through an iphone X , iphone 12 and still expirence the same issues. It logs me off at random times and unable to receive calls or texts. Also the quits on its own and doesn’t for for several hours. VERY FRUSTRATING. I would have changed provider by now or got a second phone but my number on my digits line is all over my business cards, papers flyers , etc. I trusted tmobile but this app has been horrible you can rely on this app.

Now 4 weeks.... after 2 days the tech support canceled my ticket because I hadn’t been on for over a week... that is exactly the problem!!!!! They called to reopened the ticket over 3 weeks ago! And still nothing.... Now it has been 3 weeks and still not working....... 2 weeks later and still not working....... The app no longer works on my iphone... have uninstalled and reinstalled several times...just says the app is having issues try again later... have been trying for a couple of days and still nothing....
Robocalls Non-stop

Until a few days ago, it was good to give out if you don’t want to share your real number. But now I am getting robocalls nearly every hour with no way to block them. How do you create an app with no blocking capabilities? If it is there then it’s a well kept secret. I click on the number that called and I can’t block it so...Now I deleted it. This is as bad as the Scam Block you made that lets in all sorts of scam calls unless you pay for the real block. Ugh

I joined T-Mobile first week of January, already having issues. As a business owner it is vital that I receive voicemails and missed calls at a timely manner, It seemed like Digits was a good way to go and at first it worked fine. However lately I’ve notice my calls are not being forwarded to voicemail which means I’m losing business!! I reached out to the customer service digits specialist” and there answer is to login and out of the app every once in a while. I had this Same problem about 4 years ago with this app so I switched over to Verizon Wireless. Looks like history will repeat itself inlet I can get this solved ASAP. I thought all the bugs would be fixed my no, Please Help!!!!
Mostly works

I’ve had digits for a few months. At first I had problems with texts and calls, but they helped me resolve them although I had to use TestFlight to get an unreleased, updated version of the app. Recently I went back to a normal release, and it mostly works. The only problem is I don’t get any texts from two-factor authentication when I try to use this number online or when someone tried to send me a gift card from Amazon. I never got it. I only get texts from people. I believe Google voice doesn’t have this problem.

I recently purchased Digits for my business. Downloaded the program onto my Mac and I can’t hear the people on the other line. Tried connecting with customer service and they said a different department handles digits. Been on hold now for 1 hour. Total waste of time.

I was excited to find out about t mobile digits as I needed a second line and did not want to purchase a second phone. However, I am growing increasingly irritated. The app is glitchy and seems to have compatibility issues with my iPhone 11. Calls are dropped, if I try to use speaker it connects and disconnects constantly, voicemail is difficult to access. Pretty disappointed

I switched over to T-Mobile because I was hacked! And ever since I have switched to T-Mobile It's been a living nightmare! I can't get in touch with technical support and the customer service representatives; keep saying that I will get a call back within 24 hours I never do!! I can't receive any emails are calls are text messages! My cellular service is horrible and I get hung up on by T-Mobile agents! I have been to 6 T-Mobile offices in 3 cities to hear that I need to call customer service! This is a joke!! I have written to the home office about this matter and I never got a response!! I am missing calls and emails and text messages from my siblings and children and grandchildren! They think I am ignoring them! T-Mobile I hope y'all get y'all's act together and fire those Filipino agents that have been hanging up on me! Also I have gotten $183.00 in credits so I'm sure it is T-Mobile customer service agents helping me and then hanging up on me! Then they call me back and say nothing! Texts come hit or miss. In the same 15 minute period I can get a text from my older daughter but not get the younger daughters texts. I have been told to sign out and back in and see if that fixes the problem and if that doesn’t work to delete and reinstall the app. But how am I supposed to know I am missing texts without going to find my phone to see what is there? I can texts from the attached device and not have the reply make it to the app on either phone or just the attached device. They can be in the same room, connected to the same WiFi and still not work right. I have even tried borrowing my daughters android tablet to see if it was an issue with Apple and Android not playing nice....nope not that either. I have been a customer for almost 20 years but am about to go to another provider.

This app has been great to have on my work phone so that I didn’t have to give up or transfer my personal number. Haven’t had any issues making calls or sending texts, even MMS. As others have pointed, there are certain things missing that would make this even better. Personally, I would love it if this app could show up on the share menu for other apps so that we could quickly share photos and links. Also, links don’t seem to work, so I end up having to copy/paste the message and removing any other text from the message. For the usual calls, messages, and voicemails, this app will do just fine.

Please keep up the work here digits. The only thing keeping me from deleting my Google account is google voice. (Don’t agree with Google meyoung in the election). Hope to see the app continue to improve so that I will have a real alternative to google voice. Please consider adding unlimited voicemail storage to the app, dark mode, and allow texts from all numbers.

This app is the most disappointing app I’ve encountered. When I first got it, it basically worked though it was t smooth service. Now it constantly glitches, login almost never works and the system always seems to have something “oops!” Going wrong. I have to get rid of the second number because it’s useless because this app is useless. I had it for my business’s number for a while until I realized it was at the point where no one new could reach the business since the Digits app was so unreliable.
missing important texts

I need this app to work. I depend on it to avoid buying an extra phone or dropping TMobile for my entire family. I do not receive important text messages from Banks, DNS providers, and now SoCal Edison fire safety enrollment. The UI leaves room for improvement but who cares about that when texting does not work. Also there is a big lag during phone calls, even with great WiFi and internet speed.

After a long absence I tried the app again, and so far so good! Calls and texts are coming in, everything works well. The UI is a little lacking in style but who cares. A useful feature I’d suggest is the ability to set favourite numbers assigned to a specific line. Also, if possible I’d like the calls to ring on my Apple Watch too. Thank you developers for getting this thing working. 👏🏼🙌🏽

This app is the worst. Can't log in with face Id it constantly kicks you out and then it reverts back to the password. Also the ring tones are terrible. Calls don't always come in. What about a separate section for phone numbers that are not in your contacts. Have it for business, but synching my phone book will put personal contacts in it. About to delete and see what Verizon has to offer.

Worst possible number to remember AND it was not an area code used in my area. When I called and got a better number I was charged extra! This app copies from the clipboard without authorization. Just before opening Digits. I was on the Tinder app . I had just pasted pasted something into a message on Tinder. When I open the Digits app , I received 2 messages from iOS that Digits had copied data from the clipboard. This is a privacy violation and needs to be fixed ASAP.

Two days after I was provided with a number, I got so many scam calls which I never had before on my regular phone number. My passwords were even compromised on my phone. I had to delete the app and will never used it again. Do not recommend.

The digits line is only good if you’re rarely using it. Not recommended for daily use. It glitches out all the time. Will need to port it out to another provider. Maybe google voice but they’re only slightly better.

It’s hard to believe that T Mobile actually released this app and it’s companion Windows 10 download for the PC. They are absolutely abysmal. Regarding the iPhone app, it won’t even ring my phone. And trying to set up a personal greeting is a nightmare of workarounds to get the proper message uploaded. Note to T Mobile management: Your Digits feature itself is clever and works fairly well. But you have to provide first class apps and software to support the feature. The B team (or more likely C team) you’ve assigned to develop your Digits software isn’t up to the job. I’m trialing Digits fir one month. But you clearly aren’t serious about your product. I’ll come back when you are.

The issue with this app is multi-fold and not worth its weight in salt because it is not device agnostic. When you log into Digits from a laptop, T-Mobile gives 2 options for the second step in the 2-step authentication: receive a code via text to the phone # being setup or answer security questions. When logging into Digits via another device, another phone, it limits the second-step authentication to just a text message. The response of Tech support as to why a user does not have the option to use security questions for all devices was, “that is not how it was coded”. Intelligent design would suggest a more seamless user experience regardless of device used. In case one’s phone is stolen, an ability to use other methods of authentication to get into or use one’s account including use of a computer is standard across various other apps in the industry including use of security questions. It’s omission suggests more of a lack of design vision than any security considerations. To overcome this design faux pas, Tech support requires creation of yet another T-Mobile account - as if the proliferation of multiple user accounts for one user can be considered in any way more secure. This could be a good app but it is rated 2 Stars or 1 Star as it has quite some way to go to be in anyway useful.

Pretty disappointed with this from TMobile. Very user unfriendly. I went to add a number, I thought I would get at least a few numbers to choose from. There was no choice of the number, and all of a sudden it just assigns me a number with out of area code. I searched through the whole app multiple times and there is nowhere to change the number they give you. There is nowhere to cancel. Phone number goes to TMobile business. Clicking on support or FAQ links just redirects to a general TMobile website and logs me out. Who is running this app? Looks like I’ll have to dispute it when I get my bill.

App won’t even launch. Immediately crashes after asking for permission to use microphone. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Restarting. Upgrading the iOS to the latest. This is horrible!! Google voice is much more stable. Come on T-Mobile make the investment into your products and it will show.

It has been blocking every number even when I turned it off. I have missed new calls from jobs. It blocks numbers now an I have uninstalled it. My mom was at the hospital and it didn’t let the hospital get through Soooo I’m stillll missing important calls but it’s uninstalled on my phone. What can I do to stop this issue.

The app will do an update and delete all of your previous messages for good. This has happened to me at least 3 times, pictures gone, messages gone, and it forces you to give them access to your contacts. You can’t do add contact unless you give access to full contact list. When you’re in a call it always seem to drop many times, problems hearing, incomplete calls going out & incoming and missed calls regularly. Longtime T-Mobile customers and didn’t want to lose old number, but paying for this app to keep it may not be worth it. Better to just get an extra phone and have two😢

calls work great, sending work great too but my only issue is receiving text all reply's goes to the main line. I didn't get my delivery because I thought someone home wasn't get my messages only to find out I wasn't getting their reply's, now I got to wait for another day. please fix this!

Pros: The concept to allow me to carry one phone instead of two for personal and work is great. Text messages work great. I was able to import my Contacts which saved a lot of time. The use is fairly simple and intuitive for handling one number, texts and voicemails. Cons: my biggest concern is that there is a delay which makes conversation sometimes difficult. It’s not as bad as I think that some have stated, but it does cause talking over clients and vice versa. Creating a contact from a call or text isn’t as easy to do as I’d hoped, but no big deal. I haven’t experienced many dropped calls, but sometimes I’ll get a missed call and vm without having heard a ring. Overall - not a bad alternative to carrying multiple phones, but I hope that the delay can be reduced or eliminated to give this a higher rating. I might try Google Phone to see if it is any better but I think VoIP is always going to have a delay.

Like others have said, this app is unreliable. I’ve had people sitting next to me call me, and the phone won’t ring. I’ve called people and had the calls dropped mid sentence. Terrible for business. Most of the time people can’t even hear me. I keep having to apologize. Sometimes my calls won’t even get through. I’ve had people say I called you, but you didn’t answer. Yet my phone never rang, and I never got a missed call. I’ve tried calling T-mobile. They did their best to fix it but the problem persists. Reading the bad reviews, I can see this is a widespread problem that T-mobile has yet to address.

I have been using the app for about a year now. It is not reliable for incoming calls or texts. Some texts don’t come through no matter what. Confirmation texts from banking institutions never come through. It often shows i have a missed call and a message when it never rang in the first place. Often it shows nothing until i open the app and let it sit for a couple minutes. I wish it would work because I don’t want to carry two phones. It has proven to be unreliable at best.

This app is super glitchy. Calls don’t come through or they come up days later. Just as well the call quality is terrible. I have great service and wireless internet at home but I would never choose to use this app to make calls. Texting feature is great but it’s the only great thing about it. You could just as easily use a free number text service instead of paying monthly on your t-mobile bill for a digits line. Wish t-mobile cared enough to fix this app!

All other voice apps (Skype, Teams, WhatsApp, etc) all integrate into iOS using CallKit. Can you please do the same? I hate taking calls from a proprietary app experience, not having missed calls show up on the built-in Phone app.

Continually occurs, presently. Very frustrated. With iPad/Digits app open, over 20 calls missed when called on Digits app (notifications are ON). When same caller calls a moment later via a alternative ‘SoftwarePhone’ on same device/iPad, I hear first notification and/or calls function well. When it has worked in the past, it was fabulous to have a replacement for my phone. Now this is my primary phone, plus I have multiple lines of service Please just make it work, then stop ‘adding more’ “features”... Leave it working! Please avoid any ‘non-fully functional’ app on App store, when current version of software really actually is in BETA, due to major errors/impacting primary function.

Update on last review::::::: Still has too many issues. They changed it so at least now u know who is calling which line (for those of us with multiple lines) but there’s times I do not want my phone to ring from the app. I just want to go to the app and see a missed call. Why isn’t there a option to “turn off ringer”. So obsolete . The last few days my phone has rung normally and I answered to find all these calls weren’t even to my line they were to the digits line but come up as a call to my actual number smh. They need to replace their developers...... They need to put the do not disturb option back and if someone from my phone plan that I have in digits app, if I call them, it should NOT call me back on the other line Can’t hear calls more then half the time when I answer in the app or dial from the app it’s a hit & miss Since the new update, every time I call my children (whose numbers are on my acct) I getan “anonymous” call back EVERY TIME it rings two sec and it doesn’t let u answers

This app has been great to have on my work phone so that I didn’t have to give up or transfer my personal number. Haven’t had any issues making calls or sending texts, even MMS. As others have pointed, there are certain things missing that would make this even better. Personally, I would love it if this app could show up on the share menu for other apps so that we could quickly share photos and links. Also, links don’t seem to work, so I end up having to copy/paste the message and removing any other text from the message. For the usual calls, messages, and voicemails, this app will do just fine.

Shame on me for letting the Digits team continually try to fix this for me. I tried using this app for a second line to balance running a small business vs using my phone for my primary job. This app is ladened with nothing but problem after problem after problem after problem after problem after problem....infinitus repeat! I am CONSTANTLY uninstalling and reinstalling, changing security settings, running through WiFi vs LTE......short of practicing some kind of sacrificial ritual to an esoteric demigod, I’ve done everything I can to keep this app going. It is NOT reliable in any manner. So, now I’ll be shelling out yet even more money for a new phone and paying for a new line on my account because this app just can’t cut it. The only good thing about this app: it’s free. Everything else? Total sham!

I first got this app in 2017 and it wasn’t perfect but it definitely isn’t the trash box it is now. Every time the app works a little bit, the developers send out an update that makes it worse than before. Last year for MONTHS I received anonymous phone calls because there was a glitch in THEIR system. I would get calls at random ALL day and night. The best advice they gave me, log out. 🙄I use this as a business line( that I need to be able to see the distinction). Finally when the calls stopped and it started working they sent out another update and the only way it works is by using cellular data but it defeats the purpose of the app because it no longer uses the lines as their own. Please please please save yourself the trouble, stress and headache; Get another phone line and not digits..
Choppy Interference Poor Sound

I’ve been using this Digits line for the past 3 months. It has been “meh”. My biggest struggle has been the choppy interference I get when speaking with someone. Do not anticipate clear quality communication. I’ve reached out to T-Mobile if there is something that I can do to improve the reception. Also, the contacts is yucky. I strongly dislike when these platforms automatically import your main phone’s contacts. I did not want my friends and family imported to my digits line.

I joined T-Mobile first week of January, already having issues. As a business owner it is vital that I receive voicemails and missed calls at a timely manner, It seemed like Digits was a good way to go and at first it worked fine. However lately I’ve notice my calls are not being forwarded to voicemail which means I’m losing business!! I reached out to the customer service digits specialist” and there answer is to login and out of the app every once in a while. I had this Same problem about 4 years ago with this app so I switched over to Verizon Wireless. Looks like history will repeat itself inlet I can get this solved ASAP. Please keep up the work here digits. The only thing keeping me from deleting my Google account is google voice. (Don’t agree with Google meyoung in the election). Hope to see the app continue to improve so that I will have a real alternative to google voice. I need this app to work. I depend on it to avoid buying an extra phone or dropping TMobile for my entire family. I do not receive important text messages from Banks, DNS providers, and now SoCal Edison fire safety enrollment. The UI leaves room for improvement but who cares about that when texting does not work. Also there is a big lag during phone calls, even with great WiFi and internet speed.

This app is the most disappointing app I’ve encountered. When I first got it, it basically worked though it was t smooth service. Now it constantly glitches, login almost never works and the system always seems to have something “oops!” Going wrong. I have to get rid of the second number because it’s useless because this app is useless. I had it for my business’s number for a while until I realized it was at the point where no one new could reach the business since the Digits app was so unreliable.

I have had digits for about two years now, its been through an iphone X , iphone 12 and still expirence the same issues. It logs me off at random times and unable to receive calls or texts. Also the quits on its own and doesn’t for for several hours. VERY FRUSTRATING. I would have changed provider by now or got a second phone but my number on my digits line is all over my business cards, papers flyers , etc. I trusted tmobile but this app has been horrible you can rely on this app.

Works pretty good for what I need it for. The only thing missing is the preview in notifications doesn’t preview the message when a group text comes in, it just says “new message.” Single person messages show a preview. How can we get that functionality as it helps with Apple Watch notifications and the ability to read them on the watch.

Until a few days ago, it was good to give out if you don’t want to share your real number. But now I am getting robocalls nearly every hour with no way to block them. How do you create an app with no blocking capabilities? If it is there then it’s a well kept secret. I click on the number that called and I can’t block it so...Now I deleted it. This is as bad as the Scam Block you made that lets in all sorts of scam calls unless you pay for the real block. Ugh

Sometimes the ringer for an incoming call keeps going long after I answered the call on my phone or the caller has hung up. Today when I got home the ringer was still going from a call I had answered 45 minutes prior. Please have your software engineers study well known coding standards and follow them. Sound is terrible on WiFi and Cell service. Sound fluctuates quite often when speaking with someone. It drops the sound where you can barely hear them so I turn up the volume and then it adjusts again and blows out my eardrum. Definitely not great but seems like digits may be on their low priority list as it’s not generating as much revenue for the company.

Now 4 weeks.... after 2 days the tech support canceled my ticket because I hadn’t been on for over a week... that is exactly the problem!!!!! They called to reopened the ticket over 3 weeks ago! And still nothing.... Now it has been 3 weeks and still not working....... 2 weeks later and still not working....... The app no longer works on my iphone... have uninstalled and reinstalled several times...just says the app is having issues try again later... have been trying for a couple of days and still nothing....

I answered a call and the call didn’t hang up. I try to play messages and most of the time the voicemail won’t play. This is the only app on iPhone that does work at all. This "feature" works so poorly that it's a borderline scam. In addition to rampant UX and usability issues, numbers seem to be de-registered from DIGITS randomly and periodically (i.e., it just stops working). This is so poorly done and has been for so long that it's not even worth trying to troubleshoot. Just stay away.

DIGITS does not work and it disabled the phones that are part of the DIGITS function. So the phone numbers used in DIGITS cannot be answered or name any calls. Also you cannot set the phone numbers needed for Primary and Secondary lines if they are part of DIGITS. Looking now at how to do this on iPhone so I can ditch DIGITS.

T-Mobile has been dropping the ball allot the past few years... they were in a steady upswing but something happened and their services and products just seem to be rushed and nothing works as it should anymore

This app has not worked properly since we switched from Verizon to TMobile. I never receive calls on multiple devices like I should. Each update seems to screw everything up. Going back to Verizon ASAP.

Not recommended - poor direction from store rep in setting up the account and compounded by broken promises from support to address and fix the issue to no avail! Overall, I am a big fan of T-Mobile. I’ve enjoyed the service completely… Well almost completely. This app is awful. I am trying to run my small business, which used a landline for years, through Digits. When I first signed up a couple years ago, this app was OK. It wasn’t great but it was much better than it is now. And since the last update in April, suddenly I get no less than 25 spam calls a day. One after another after another. I have no idea why. It’s incredibly annoying! When I finally do get a call that I am waiting for, the delay is so annoying that it’s almost impossible to have a conversation.Then there’s the voicemail. I will start playing a voicemail, put it on speaker and yet I have to hold my ear directly onto the phone to hear. And I can barely hear it then. And this is on speaker! I don’t understand why T-Mobile won’t fix this app. I think I’ll be heading back to AT&T. If they don’t fix it, I’m not going to have a choice. It’s hurting my business.

I answered a call and the call didn’t hang up. I try to play messages and most of the time the voicemail won’t play. This is the only app on iPhone that does work at all. This is also the only time I’ve ever written a review for an app which speaks volumes about how messed up it is. Even the recorded VM’s are garbled. Please fix.

The IOS version of this app I awful. The app says I don't have any lines when I log in, and it asks me to add a new one which requires me to pay $10 a month instead of letting me use my current number. However, on the Android version, when I log in with the same username and password, my current number shows up, and I can use that one to make and receive calls. Developers of this app, please fix the IOS version of this app so that I can use my current number on it like I can on the Android version.

My device does not receive any short code texts - even from known contacts like the bank. Makes it reaaalllly difficult to access security codes needed to reinstall apps after one’s phone is stolen. Incoming texts that do go through have no notifications - not even the little number badge on the app. Incoming calls? Yeah, they don’t come through. This is a somewhat dangerous feature to fail when you have very ill loved ones. Not impressed.

Works pretty good for what I need it for. The only thing missing is the preview in notifications doesn’t preview the message when a group text comes in, it just says “new message.” Single person messages show a preview. How can we get that functionality as it helps with Apple Watch notifications and the ability to read them on the watch.

Can’t send photos/videos. Emojis and “” come out as a weird code. The only reason I’m still using it is because T-Mobile has some network bug that has me missing a ton of texts on my iPhone messaging app/messages I send from there not being received. At least with DIGITS, I don’t miss anything. But that’s the only positive.
Group messages and characters

This app works only when it wants to work. I use this as my work phone line and I can send group messages other times it does not, even after deleting the app reinstalling and signing back in. Happens at least once a month. Also, characters are not sending correctly and once sent it shows up in code. This app needs to be consistent. Please make it better!

Sound is terrible on WiFi and Cell service. Sound fluctuates quite often when speaking with someone. It drops the sound where you can barely hear them so I turn up the volume and then it adjusts again and blows out my eardrum. Definitely not great but seems like digits may be on their low priority list as it’s not generating as much revenue for the company.

I use this apo because I’m currently in Brazil, I don’t receive my texts, when I want to get a verification code I have to make them call and then maybe I’ll get the phone call. 60% of the phone calls I make get disconnected before I can finish, when I receive phone calls sometimes I can’t hear anything but I know they can hear me. And when I make phone calls sometimes it doesn’t even ring. This app just needs an update badly I know I can’t be the only one having these issues.

I thought this was a good idea. The concept is and when it works works well. However, it has dropped calls and stopped getting incoming calls. Now everytime I log try to get into the app it shuts me out. Now I have to call TMobile and I am tired because I use it for business and its a constant thing.

Choppy Interference Poor Sound

I’ve been using this Digits line for the past 3 months. It has been “meh”. My biggest struggle has been the choppy interference I get when speaking with someone. Do not anticipate clear quality communication. I’ve reached out to T-Mobile if there is something that I can do to improve the reception. Also, the contacts is yucky. I strongly dislike when these platforms automatically import your main phone’s contacts. I did not want my friends and family imported to my digits line.

The only thing it does ok is allows you to have a second line on your phone keeping it separate from your regular messages and calls. And that’s about. What’s make this ap complete garbage: 1. You can not search message content, the search function searches only the contact names. 2. You can not send pics from your camera roll or when you try to take a pic from the ap camera function. You have to copy your pic from you photo library and then paste in a message to send it. 3. Can’t blind copy groups of contact any messages. Would be a great function to mass text contacts blindly because I use the line with this ap for work only. 4. When I changed phone none of the old text messages copied over. The history was completely gone. T-mobile should be ashamed to have their name attached to this ap. Digits is complete trash.

This "feature" works so poorly that it's a borderline scam. In addition to rampant UX and usability issues, numbers seem to be de-registered from DIGITS randomly and periodically (i.e., it just stops working). This is so poorly done and has been for so long that it's not even worth trying to troubleshoot. Just stay away.

I first got this app in 2017 and it wasn’t perfect but it definitely isn’t the trash box it is now. Every time the app works a little bit, the developers send out an update that makes it worse than before. Last year for MONTHS I received anonymous phone calls because there was a glitch in THEIR system. I would get calls at random ALL day and night. The best advice they gave me, log out. 🙄I use this as a business line( that I need to be able to see the distinction). Finally when the calls stopped and it started working they sent out another update and the only way it works is by using cellular data but it defeats the purpose of the app because it no longer uses the lines as their own. Please please please save yourself the trouble, stress and headache; Get another phone line and not digits..

Sometimes the ringer for an incoming call keeps going long after I answered the call on my phone or the caller has hung up. Today when I got home the ringer was still going from a call I had answered 45 minutes prior. Please have your software engineers study well known coding standards and follow them. Every notification must have a timeout!
DIGITS fails to work!

DIGITS does not work and it disabled the phones that are part of the DIGITS function. So the phone numbers used in DIGITS cannot be answered or name any calls. Also you cannot set the phone numbers needed for Primary and Secondary lines if they are part of DIGITS. Looking now at how to do this on iPhone so I can ditch DIGITS.

Update on last review::::::: Still has too many issues. They changed it so at least now u know who is calling which line (for those of us with multiple lines) but there’s times I do not want my phone to ring from the app. I just want to go to the app and see a missed call. Why isn’t there a option to “turn off ringer”. So obsolete . The last few days my phone has rung normally and I answered to find all these calls weren’t even to my line they were to the digits line but come up as a call to my actual number smh. They need to replace their developers...... They need to put the do not disturb option back and if someone from my phone plan that I have in digits app, if I call them, it should NOT call me back on the other line Can’t hear calls more then half the time when I answer in the app or dial from the app it’s a hit & miss Since the new update, every time I call my children (whose numbers are on my acct) I getan “anonymous” call back EVERY TIME it rings two sec and it doesn’t let u answers

Developers: could you please simply make this app fully functional and THEN... Leave it functional! I LOVE digits app, when it works. Otherwise flustered Stop constantly breaking it, my user experience after replacing my iPhone 📲 with my iPad with Digits App. Once I was fully relying on this ‘SoftwarePhone’ Most recent update, when I place a call the other party Hears the call RING once then the Digits App Randomly Ends the call after 1 ring outgoing call ABRUPTLY ends my call... despite being with or without an answer. Continually occurs, presently. Very frustrated. With iPad/Digits app open, over 20 calls missed when called on Digits app (notifications are ON). When same caller calls a moment later via a alternative ‘SoftwarePhone’ on same device/iPad, I hear first notification and/or calls function well. When it has worked in the past, it was fabulous to have a replacement for my phone. Now this is my primary phone, plus I have multiple lines of service Please just make it work, then stop ‘adding more’ “features”... Leave it working! Please avoid any ‘non-fully functional’ app on App store, when current version of software really actually is in BETA, due to major errors/impacting primary function.

Shame on me for letting the Digits team continually try to fix this for me. I tried using this app for a second line to balance running a small business vs using my phone for my primary job. This app is ladened with nothing but problem after problem after problem after problem after problem after problem....infinitus repeat! I am CONSTANTLY uninstalling and reinstalling, changing security settings, running through WiFi vs LTE......short of practicing some kind of sacrificial ritual to an esoteric demigod, I’ve done everything I can to keep this app going. It is NOT reliable in any manner. So, now I’ll be shelling out yet even more money for a new phone and paying for a new line on my account because this app just can’t cut it. The only good thing about this app: it’s free. Everything else? Total sham!

It’s really insulting that T-Mobile charges you for an app that literally does not work. I’ve had this app since May 2020 it has not worked the entire time. It does not notify you when you have a missed call it does not show as a missed call the only reason I know I’ve missed calls because it says I have 29 voicemails doesn’t say the number that called. It does not receive text messages bot does it send texts. Not really sure what the point of this app is since it doesn’t work it’s should be free it should be free it should be free I’m just gonna keep saying the fact that they even charge you for this app and it doesn’t work is ridiculous.The fact that they won’t allow you to sync it with any other platforms such as I plum is also ridiculous. I have had digits for about two years now, its been through an iphone X , iphone 12 and still expirence the same issues. It logs me off at random times and unable to receive calls or texts. Also the quits on its own and doesn’t for for several hours. VERY FRUSTRATING. I would have changed provider by now or got a second phone but my number on my digits line is all over my business cards, papers flyers , etc. I trusted tmobile but this app has been horrible you can rely on this app.

Now 4 weeks.... after 2 days the tech support canceled my ticket because I hadn’t been on for over a week... that is exactly the problem!!!!! They called to reopened the ticket over 3 weeks ago! And still nothing.... Now it has been 3 weeks and still not working....... 2 weeks later and still not working....... Until a few days ago, it was good to give out if you don’t want to share your real number. But now I am getting robocalls nearly every hour with no way to block them. How do you create an app with no blocking capabilities? If it is there then it’s a well kept secret. I click on the number that called and I can’t block it so...Now I deleted it. This is as bad as the Scam Block you made that lets in all sorts of scam calls unless you pay for the real block. Ugh

I joined T-Mobile first week of January, already having issues. As a business owner it is vital that I receive voicemails and missed calls at a timely manner, It seemed like Digits was a good way to go and at first it worked fine. However lately I’ve notice my calls are not being forwarded to voicemail which means I’m losing business!! I reached out to the customer service digits specialist” and there answer is to login and out of the app every once in a while. I had this Same problem about 4 years ago with this app so I switched over to Verizon Wireless. Looks like history will repeat itself inlet I can get this solved ASAP. I thought all the bugs would be fixed my no, Please Help!!!!

I’ve had digits for a few months. At first I had problems with texts and calls, but they helped me resolve them although I had to use TestFlight to get an unreleased, updated version of the app. Recently I went back to a normal release, and it mostly works. The only problem is I don’t get any texts from two-factor authentication when I try to use this number online or when someone tried to send me a gift card from Amazon. I never got it. I only get texts from people. I believe Google voice doesn’t have this problem.

I was excited to find out about t mobile digits as I needed a second line and did not want to purchase a second phone. However, I am growing increasingly irritated. The app is glitchy and seems to have compatibility issues with my iPhone 11. Calls are dropped, if I try to use speaker it connects and disconnects constantly, voicemail is difficult to access. Pretty disappointed

I switched over to T-Mobile because I was hacked! And ever since I have switched to T-Mobile It's been a living nightmare! I can't get in touch with technical support and the customer service representatives; keep saying that I will get a call back within 24 hours I never do!! I can't receive any emails are calls are text messages! My cellular service is horrible and I get hung up on by T-Mobile agents! I have been to 6 T-Mobile offices in 3 cities to hear that I need to call customer service! This is a joke!! I have written to the home office about this matter and I never got a response!! I am missing calls and emails and text messages from my siblings and children and grandchildren! They think I am ignoring them! T-Mobile I hope y'all get y'all's act together and fire those Filipino agents that have been hanging up on me! Also I have gotten $183.00 in credits so I'm sure it is T-Mobile customer service agents helping me and then hanging up on me! Then they call me back and say nothing! Texts come hit or miss. In the same 15 minute period I can get a text from my older daughter but not get the younger daughters texts. I have been told to sign out and back in and see if that fixes the problem and if that doesn’t work to delete and reinstall the app. But how am I supposed to know I am missing texts without going to find my phone to see what is there? I can texts from the attached device and not have the reply make it to the app on either phone or just the attached device. They can be in the same room, connected to the same WiFi and still not work right. I have even tried borrowing my daughters android tablet to see if it was an issue with Apple and Android not playing nice....nope not that either. I have been a customer for almost 20 years but am about to go to another provider.

This app has been great to have on my work phone so that I didn’t have to give up or transfer my personal number. Haven’t had any issues making calls or sending texts, even MMS. As others have pointed, there are certain things missing that would make this even better. Personally, I would love it if this app could show up on the share menu for other apps so that we could quickly share photos and links. Also, links don’t seem to work, so I end up having to copy/paste the message and removing any other text from the message. For the usual calls, messages, and voicemails, this app will do just fine.

Please keep up the work here digits. The only thing keeping me from deleting my Google account is google voice. (Don’t agree with Google meyoung in the election). Hope to see the app continue to improve so that I will have a real alternative to google voice. Please consider adding unlimited voicemail storage to the app, dark mode, and allow texts from all numbers.

This app is the most disappointing app I’ve encountered. When I first got it, it basically worked though it was t smooth service. Now it constantly glitches, login almost never works and the system always seems to have something “oops!” Going wrong. I have to get rid of the second number because it’s useless because this app is useless. I had it for my business’s number for a while until I realized it was at the point where no one new could reach the business since the Digits app was so unreliable.

I need this app to work. I depend on it to avoid buying an extra phone or dropping TMobile for my entire family. I do not receive important text messages from Banks, DNS providers, and now SoCal Edison fire safety enrollment. The UI leaves room for improvement but who cares about that when texting does not work. Also there is a big lag during phone calls, even with great WiFi and internet speed.

After a long absence I tried the app again, and so far so good! Calls and texts are coming in, everything works well. The UI is a little lacking in style but who cares. A useful feature I’d suggest is the ability to set favourite numbers assigned to a specific line. Also, if possible I’d like the calls to ring on my Apple Watch too. Thank you developers for getting this thing working. 👏🏼🙌🏽

This app is the worst. Can't log in with face Id it constantly kicks you out and then it reverts back to the password. Also the ring tones are terrible. Calls don't always come in. What about a separate section for phone numbers that are not in your contacts. Have it for business, but synching my phone book will put personal contacts in it. About to delete and see what Verizon has to offer.

Worst possible number to remember AND it was not an area code used in my area. When I called and got a better number I was charged extra! They LIE and are intentionally deceptive to trick customers into using their service. BELIEVE all of the negative reviews you read! There is a reason this app only has 2 stars.

This app copies from the clipboard without authorization. Just before opening Digits. I was on the Tinder app . I had just pasted pasted something into a message on Tinder. When I open the Digits app , I received 2 messages from iOS that Digits had copied data from the clipboard. This is a privacy violation and needs to be fixed ASAP.

Two days after I was provided with a number, I got so many scam calls which I never had before on my regular phone number. My passwords were even compromised on my phone. I had to delete the app and will never used it again. Do not recommend.

The digits line is only good if you’re rarely using it. Not recommended for daily use. It glitches out all the time. Will need to port it out to another provider. Maybe google voice but they’re only slightly better.

I cannot run my business with this app. The phone doesn’t ring so I miss all my calls, the app glitches and sometimes doesn’t allow me to call out and the tech at T-Mobile told me to log off and log on once daily but ain’t nobody got time for dat. Seriously, don’t do it. I’m better off just getting a whole other phone.

My app is constantly loading...it’s loading right now. I can see where there is messages on there by seeing the number presented on the app but when I go to click on the app it just loads and never stops. I can’t even uninstall it and then install it back. Please somebody help!!!!!

It’s hard to believe that T Mobile actually released this app and it’s companion Windows 10 download for the PC. They are absolutely abysmal. Regarding the iPhone app, it won’t even ring my phone. And trying to set up a personal greeting is a nightmare of workarounds to get the proper message uploaded. Note to T Mobile management: Your Digits feature itself is clever and works fairly well. But you have to provide first class apps and software to support the feature. The B team (or more likely C team) you’ve assigned to develop your Digits software isn’t up to the job. I’m trialing Digits fir one month. But you clearly aren’t serious about your product. I’ll come back when you are.

The issue with this app is multi-fold and not worth its weight in salt because it is not device agnostic. When you log into Digits from a laptop, T-Mobile gives 2 options for the second step in the 2-step authentication: receive a code via text to the phone # being setup or answer security questions. When logging into Digits via another device, another phone, it limits the second-step authentication to just a text message. The response of Tech support as to why a user does not have the option to use security questions for all devices was, “that is not how it was coded”. Intelligent design would suggest a more seamless user experience regardless of device used. In case one’s phone is stolen, an ability to use other methods of authentication to get into or use one’s account including use of a computer is standard across various other apps in the industry including use of security questions. It’s omission suggests more of a lack of design vision than any security considerations. To overcome this design faux pas, Tech support requires creation of yet another T-Mobile account - as if the proliferation of multiple user accounts for one user can be considered in any way more secure. This could be a good app but it is rated 2 Stars or 1 Star as it has quite some way to go to be in anyway useful.

Pretty disappointed with this from TMobile. Very user unfriendly. I went to add a number, I thought I would get at least a few numbers to choose from. There was no choice of the number, and all of a sudden it just assigns me a number with out of area code. I searched through the whole app multiple times and there is nowhere to change the number they give you. There is nowhere to cancel. Phone number goes to TMobile business. Clicking on support or FAQ links just redirects to a general TMobile website and logs me out. Who is running this app? Looks like I’ll have to dispute it when I get my bill.

App won’t even launch. Immediately crashes after asking for permission to use microphone. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Restarting. Upgrading the iOS to the latest. This is horrible!! Google voice is much more stable. Come on T-Mobile make the investment into your products and it will show.

It has been blocking every number even when I turned it off. I have missed new calls from jobs. It blocks numbers now an I have uninstalled it. My mom was at the hospital and it didn’t let the hospital get through Soooo I’m stillll missing important calls but it’s uninstalled on my phone. What can I do to stop this issue.

The app will do an update and delete all of your previous messages for good. This has happened to me at least 3 times, pictures gone, messages gone, and it forces you to give them access to your contacts. You can’t do add contact unless you give access to full contact list. When you’re in a call it always seem to drop many times, problems hearing, incomplete calls going out & incoming and missed calls regularly. Longtime T-Mobile customers and didn’t want to lose old number, but paying for this app to keep it may not be worth it. Better to just get an extra phone and have two😢

calls work great, sending work great too but my only issue is receiving text all reply's goes to the main line. I didn't get my delivery because I thought someone home wasn't get my messages only to find out I wasn't getting their reply's, now I got to wait for another day. please fix this!

Pros: The concept to allow me to carry one phone instead of two for personal and work is great. Text messages work great. I was able to import my Contacts which saved a lot of time. The use is fairly simple and intuitive for handling one number, texts and voicemails. Cons: my biggest concern is that there is a delay which makes conversation sometimes difficult. It’s not as bad as I think that some have stated, but it does cause talking over clients and vice versa. Creating a contact from a call or text isn’t as easy to do as I’d hoped, but no big deal. I haven’t experienced many dropped calls, but sometimes I’ll get a missed call and vm without having heard a ring. Overall - not a bad alternative to carrying multiple phones, but I hope that the delay can be reduced or eliminated to give this a higher rating. I might try Google Phone to see if it is any better but I think VoIP is always going to have a delay.

Like others have said, this app is unreliable. I’ve had people sitting next to me call me, and the phone won’t ring. I’ve called people and had the calls dropped mid sentence. Terrible for business. Most of the time people can’t even hear me. I keep having to apologize. Sometimes my calls won’t even get through. I’ve had people say I called you, but you didn’t answer. Yet my phone never rang, and I never got a missed call. I’ve tried calling T-mobile. They did their best to fix it but the problem persists. Reading the bad reviews, I can see this is a widespread problem that T-mobile has yet to address.

If the issue persists, could you send us log using settings-help-feedback options? Sign out and back in did not resolve, but uninstall and reinstall app did work this time. If issue resurfaces I will send you logs as requested.

I have been using the app for about a year now. It is not reliable for incoming calls or texts. Some texts don’t come through no matter what. Confirmation texts from banking institutions never come through. It often shows i have a missed call and a message when it never rang in the first place. Often it shows nothing until i open the app and let it sit for a couple minutes. I wish it would work because I don’t want to carry two phones. It has proven to be unreliable at best.

This app is super glitchy. Calls don’t come through or they come up days later. Just as well the call quality is terrible. I have great service and wireless internet at home but I would never choose to use this app to make calls. Texting feature is great but it’s the only great thing about it. You could just as easily use a free number text service instead of paying monthly on your t-mobile bill for a digits line. Wish t-mobile cared enough to fix this app!

All other voice apps (Skype, Teams, WhatsApp, etc) all integrate into iOS using CallKit. Can you please do the same? I hate taking calls from a proprietary app experience, not having missed calls show up on the built-in Phone app.

Otherwise flustered Stop constantly breaking it, my user experience after replacing my iPhone 📲 with my iPad with Digits App. Once I was fully relying on this ‘SoftwarePhone’ Most recent update, when I place a call the other party Hears the call RING once then the Digits App Randomly Ends the call after 1 ring outgoing call ABRUPTLY ends my call... despite being with or without an answer. Continually occurs, presently. Very frustrated. With iPad/Digits app open, over 20 calls missed when called on Digits app (notifications are ON). When same caller calls a moment later via a alternative ‘SoftwarePhone’ on same device/iPad, I hear first notification and/or calls function well. When it has worked in the past, it was fabulous to have a replacement for my phone. Now this is my primary phone, plus I have multiple lines of service Please just make it work, then stop ‘adding more’ “features”... Leave it working! Please avoid any ‘non-fully functional’ app on App store, when current version of software really actually is in BETA, due to major errors/impacting primary function.

Update on last review::::::: Still has too many issues. They changed it so at least now u know who is calling which line (for those of us with multiple lines) but there’s times I do not want my phone to ring from the app. I just want to go to the app and see a missed call. Why isn’t there a option to “turn off ringer”. So obsolete . The last few days my phone has rung normally and I answered to find all these calls weren’t even to my line they were to the digits line but come up as a call to my actual number smh. They need to replace their developers...... They need to put the do not disturb option back and if someone from my phone plan that I have in digits app, if I call them, it should NOT call me back on the other line Can’t hear calls more then half the time when I answer in the app or dial from the app it’s a hit & miss Since the new update, every time I call my children (whose numbers are on my acct) I getan “anonymous” call back EVERY TIME it rings two sec and it doesn’t let u answers

Shame on me for letting the Digits team continually try to fix this for me. I tried using this app for a second line to balance running a small business vs using my phone for my primary job. This app is ladened with nothing but problem after problem after problem after problem after problem after problem....infinitus repeat! I am CONSTANTLY uninstalling and reinstalling, changing security settings, running through WiFi vs LTE......short of practicing some kind of sacrificial ritual to an esoteric demigod, I’ve done everything I can to keep this app going. It is NOT reliable in any manner. So, now I’ll be shelling out yet even more money for a new phone and paying for a new line on my account because this app just can’t cut it. The only good thing about this app: it’s free. Everything else? Total sham!

I first got this app in 2017 and it wasn’t perfect but it definitely isn’t the trash box it is now. Every time the app works a little bit, the developers send out an update that makes it worse than before. Last year for MONTHS I received anonymous phone calls because there was a glitch in THEIR system. I would get calls at random ALL day and night. The best advice they gave me, log out. 🙄I use this as a business line( that I need to be able to see the distinction). Finally when the calls stopped and it started working they sent out another update and the only way it works is by using cellular data but it defeats the purpose of the app because it no longer uses the lines as their own. Please please please save yourself the trouble, stress and headache; Get another phone line and not digits..
Choppy Interference Poor Sound

I’ve been using this Digits line for the past 3 months. It has been “meh”. My biggest struggle has been the choppy interference I get when speaking with someone. Do not anticipate clear quality communication. I’ve reached out to T-Mobile if there is something that I can do to improve the reception. Also, the contacts is yucky. I strongly dislike when these platforms automatically import your main phone’s contacts. I did not want my friends and family imported to my digits line.

I joined T-Mobile first week of January, already having issues. As a business owner it is vital that I receive voicemails and missed calls at a timely manner, It seemed like Digits was a good way to go and at first it worked fine. However lately I’ve notice my calls are not being forwarded to voicemail which means I’m losing business!! I reached out to the customer service digits specialist” and there answer is to login and out of the app every once in a while. I had this Same problem about 4 years ago with this app so I switched over to Verizon Wireless. Looks like history will repeat itself inlet I can get this solved ASAP. I thought all the bugs would be fixed my no, Please Help!!!!

I have had digits for about two years now, its been through an iphone X , iphone 12 and still expirence the same issues. It logs me off at random times and unable to receive calls or texts. Also the quits on its own and doesn’t for for several hours. VERY FRUSTRATING. I would have changed provider by now or got a second phone but my number on my digits line is all over my business cards, papers flyers , etc. I trusted tmobile but this app has been horrible you can rely on this app.
Group Message Preview

Works pretty good for what I need it for. The only thing missing is the preview in notifications doesn’t preview the message when a group text comes in, it just says “new message.” Single person messages show a preview. How can we get that functionality as it helps with Apple Watch notifications and the ability to read them on the watch.

I was excited to find out about t mobile digits as I needed a second line and did not want to purchase a second phone. However, I am growing increasingly irritated. The app is glitchy and seems to have compatibility issues with my iPhone 11. Calls are dropped, if I try to use speaker it connects and disconnects constantly, voicemail is difficult to access. Until a few days ago, it was good to give out if you don’t want to share your real number. But now I am getting robocalls nearly every hour with no way to block them. How do you create an app with no blocking capabilities? If it is there then it’s a well kept secret. I click on the number that called and I can’t block it so...Now I deleted it. This is as bad as the Scam Block you made that lets in all sorts of scam calls unless you pay for the real block. Ugh
Ringer needs a timeout

Sometimes the ringer for an incoming call keeps going long after I answered the call on my phone or the caller has hung up. Today when I got home the ringer was still going from a call I had answered 45 minutes prior. Please have your software engineers study well known coding standards and follow them. Every notification must have a timeout!

Sound is terrible on WiFi and Cell service. Sound fluctuates quite often when speaking with someone. It drops the sound where you can barely hear them so I turn up the volume and then it adjusts again and blows out my eardrum. Definitely not great but seems like digits may be on their low priority list as it’s not generating as much revenue for the company.

This app is trash honestly. T-mobile sold it to me as if it would be so helpful in managing a second line on one phone. ITS HORRIBLE!!! I have my own business and use my business line with Digits. I have missed soooooooo many phone calls and messages because they don’t come through. I’ve reached out to T-Mobile to fix it, they trouble shoot and the problem returns again. AVOID AT ALL COST. Just sacrifice and get a 2nd phone.

Now 4 weeks.... after 2 days the tech support canceled my ticket because I hadn’t been on for over a week... that is exactly the problem!!!!! They called to reopened the ticket over 3 weeks ago! And still nothing.... Now it has been 3 weeks and still not working....... 2 weeks later and still not working....... The app no longer works on my iphone... have uninstalled and reinstalled several times...just says the app is having issues try again later... have been trying for a couple of days and still nothing....

Now everytime I log try to get into the app it shuts me out. Now I have to call TMobile and I am tired because I use it for business and its a constant thing.

I answered a call and the call didn’t hang up. I try to play messages and most of the time the voicemail won’t play. This is the only app on iPhone that does work at all. This is also the only time I’ve ever written a review for an app which speaks volumes about how messed up it is. Even the recorded VM’s are garbled. Please fix.

Just test out the app and it partially worked. Missing important text from banking institutions like other reviewer has complained. Sad App reliability especially when I have high trust in one of the largest Mobile carrier to handle my business.
Please make this app work as intended.

I wish this app would work as intended. It is the perfect solution for my son. He uses his iPad 8th gen everywhere he goes and we would still be able to be contacted by his brother who is not an iPhone user. Please improve this and you will gain a lot of loyal customers. Than you.

I like being able to separate my work from home but I do miss a lot of calls. It’s very unreliable. It goes through some good days and then terrible days!

This "feature" works so poorly that it's a borderline scam. In addition to rampant UX and usability issues, numbers seem to be de-registered from DIGITS randomly and periodically (i.e., it just stops working). This is so poorly done and has been for so long that it's not even worth trying to troubleshoot. Just stay away.

I recently purchased Digits for my business. Downloaded the program onto my Mac and I can’t hear the people on the other line. Tried connecting with customer service and they said a different department handles digits. Been on hold now for 1 hour. Total waste of time.

I thought it would have been an awesome idea to get An extra number on my phone but only if it was actually reliable. Sometimes I text a client and codes would appear making me look unprofessional. Disappointment. Planing on cancelling.

The app if full of glitches and the tech team doesn’t seem to be able to resolve the issue. REALLY frustrating

DIGITS does not work and it disabled the phones that are part of the DIGITS function. So the phone numbers used in DIGITS cannot be answered or name any calls. Also you cannot set the phone numbers needed for Primary and Secondary lines if they are part of DIGITS. Looking now at how to do this on iPhone so I can ditch DIGITS.

The app is OK, but you need to be able to block incoming numbers. I get constant spam calls but I cannot block their numbers.

T-Mobile has been dropping the ball allot the past few years... they were in a steady upswing but something happened and their services and products just seem to be rushed and nothing works as it should anymore

This app has not worked properly since we switched from Verizon to TMobile. I never receive calls on multiple devices like I should. Each update seems to screw everything up. Going back to Verizon ASAP.

I have to be able to make calls within the app on my iPhone. But it automatically uses the phone native app for calls It would be nice to have an option.

Completely unreliable!! Crashes calls, lags terribly!!! Messages are received late!!! Voicemail sound like the person is under the ocean in a plastic bottle leaving a voicemail!! By far HORRIBLE !!! Terrible
Not receiving texts

When trying to use my Digits # for two-step verification I never receive the texts with the codes. So it’s becoming useless for me.
