just one problem
by mellnie_ on 2019/11/17 02:06
i love this app don’t get me wrong, but there is one problem. so i got this metronome because the other one i have doesn’t change the pitch for the subdivision. what i like about the other one is that you can change the sound the metronome makes. this one you can’t, and it doesn’t sound good in my recordings.
Best metronome app ever
by PpUg LoVEr on 2019/11/15 16:13
This is the best app ever. It’s simple and easy to use and it’s very customize able. It doesn’t bum barred you with adds or PAY 3 DOLLARS A MONTH TO GET 8TH NOTES!!! Nope its so easy there is no annoyance using it. Its the best metronome i have ever had.
I love this app!!!
by piano lover🎹 on 2019/11/13 01:58
i would definitely recommend this app to my friends if any of them played an instrument, this metronome works for any instrument and i love it!!! it works wonder for me!!
Best minimalist metronome app
by nikripper on 2019/11/06 15:26
This really has become my favorite metronome app for practicing guitar. Super simple and has just enough functionality to useful but not overwhelming or convoluted. I just really really wish the Apple Watch app was more useful. The metronome sounds can barely be heard and the vibration in silent mode can hardly be felt.. Which pretty much makes it useless.
Needs update
by thatcjkid on 2019/11/06 01:43
I’m trying to use this on my Apple Watch so I can feel the pulse. Keeps telling me it needs to be installed on my iPhone when it IS already installed.

Can't feel the beat
by Yosele on 2019/10/28 08:25
Bought for haptic beat on the watch and can't feel it, it's so faint
Haptics are gone
by Onion powdered donuts on 2019/10/17 11:53
Pulse has always been my favorite metronome! However, I recently upgraded to an iPhone XR and I lost the ability to use haptics. Please bring this feature back.
Great!
by runnabelle on 2019/10/14 00:21
It’s great and very helpful for piano. It is simple, ad-free, and lightly customizable. Highly recommend!
Great idea
by Itsvoogle on 2019/10/09 22:39
Works fine but does anyone know if the watch app can be synced to Logic Pro X? That way i can have haptic metronome synced with my music project, this would be amazing!
Great App
by ItalianSausage on 2019/10/05 15:00
Does exactly what it should do with an easy design and interface. Thanks for this!
I love it so much!
by RonaeleS42 on 2019/10/02 16:58
First of all, it’s so efficient and it’s really easy to change the tempo and it’s really cool to see the different colours which you can choose for the down beat of the upbeat. Overall it’s just a great app that I use all the time for piano, cello and singing😃
Good metronome!
by DarkWolfAJ on 2019/10/02 14:51
This is an amazing app that can help you keep tempo with your band. Amazing app! And it can help with timing your notes.
This is Worth it

Love love love this app

I play the flute and I couldn’t find any metronome apps that provided free subdivisions, then I stumbled upon this one and it’s amazing
AMAZING!!
by Angelsofdestiny7 on 2019/09/12 00:56
I found this app today because I was desperate for some sort of app to use for a quiz on my violin 2 octave scale. I found this app, and it blew me away! I was asked to use Voice Memos to submit my scale, and surprisingly the metronome worked even when I wasn’t on the app! Thanks Pulse!! 😁
Good but could be better
by billy bob joe🤣10654 on 2019/09/06 22:22
This app is great, but there are limited settings and once you pick an instrument, you can’t go back an pick another.
Point is - you use it!
by Riverstreet on 2019/08/31 23:01
Fast and easy to setup - too convenient! My go to metronome 😎
Out of sync with the first tap
by Flengord on 2019/08/31 02:36
In my experience, the app takes a few milliseconds to register the first tap. So if you’re wanting to start the metronome with something external (let’s say, music), it’ll start behind.
Review on “Pulse”

Really good app! Very simple, and easy to navigate. Also happy that it continues to play when you leave the app ! :) Overall 5/5 ★★★★★
Best iphone metronome
by Ugghhj on 2019/08/24 13:48
All the other metronomes have annoying features i will never use
good idea, but doesnt work well
by Nickolusroy on 2019/08/20 02:40
the haptic of the apple watch is too weak for this to be effective when playing guitar. the vibration of the instrument and movement of my wrist overpower the haptic vibrations
Pulse
by Josh_Tucker on 2019/08/19 22:10
I would rather use this then a regular metronome.
Just what I needed and FREE!
by HollyJolly0984 on 2019/08/15 19:33
I needed a loud metronome to be able to hear over my playing and this fits the bill.
Phone good, watch awful
by SkeeterMcSkeet on 2019/08/12 21:28
Dev should take the language out of the app stating how to make it always stay on with the watch, it’s misleading. Obviously this is false as these options in the steps stated to take to enable, simply do not exist. It seems the developer is aware of this from reading their responses to some reviews. Apple Watch capability is the only reason I tried this app. It works as advertised on the phone. Honestly the haptics are too weak for me to really feel the beat on the watch anyway. I mean it’s there, but you really have to focus on it. The other haptics for notifications seem to be stronger than what you get from this app, maybe it’s just me though.
Almost perfect
by pfargtlgeist on 2019/08/05 19:46
There’s clipping at the end of the cowbell downbeat sound.
Great visual
by Pnut274 on 2019/08/04 14:24
I love that this app is easy to see while playing. I also appreciate the ability to share the tempo with others. My one desire is that there was an easier way to advance songs on the playlist. I play keyboard and to quickly roll to the next song with no break requires quite a bit of movement, long side glances, and a dose of anxiety. If there were an update that allowed for an option to have a single button advance on the tempo screen, that would pretty much make this app perfect.
Love this
by Buttery butt on 2019/08/03 03:58
So satisfying as well as very practical and simple
A good idea but doesn’t work great.
by habslvr on 2019/07/31 12:44
I like the idea of the app, but it doesn’t work that well. Like others have said, it turns off if you move your wrist a certain way. Also, the vibration is not strong enough to really keep track of, especially if you’re not standing perfectly still.
Watch portion doesn’t work well
by OingoBongo on 2019/07/28 21:04
Got this for the watch feature. Haptic feedback is so week cannot feel even when sitting very still let alone playing. No visual signal on watch face.

by Dry haiku on 2019/07/28 16:02

Excellent basic metronome. No ads or annoying in app purchases!

Best metronome app
by joshuanberk on 2019/07/01 00:48
Very easy, doesn't force a premium function down my throat. I can choose my time signature, choose my tempo, and thats all I care about. Its easy to use, extensive, and convenient. This is literally just a metronome app, unlike the millions of other bs apps
Helped a lot with my practice
by thehmunicorn on 2019/06/20 21:07
Has a lot of time signatures, sounds, and customization that makes using a metronome less obnoxious.
Haptics on watch are too soft
by Joe Mike T on 2019/06/20 00:28
I have my watch on silent mode and the haptics ask the way up, but I can't feel anything unless I hold the watch in my other hand. Haptics are very weak
This app is amazing
by UnfinishedGlobe on 2019/06/13 02:55
As a beginning marching drummer, tempo is key. This app is a great at that. That's why I want to say that this app is good for any level of experience, from beginners to pros. I have gotten recommendations from my friends to try this app. I still will rate it 5 stars even though there is a flaw. I got this app on my watch so that I could keep tempo near. Like most instructors, mine doesn't like us using our phones during practice. So I thought it would be a great way keep time like that. Unfortunately, the app closes every time I turn my wrist downward. In my positions I have wrists downward so it keeps turning it off when I need. Other than that flaw, I would like to make a recommendation to add a preset options. My show music this year has 6/8 into 4/4. Unless there is already that option then thanks Thank you for a great app

by jman1283 on 2019/04/22 04:47
Really beautiful clean look. Simple but beautifully planned out interface on a metronome with; tap tempo, meter choice, color options for down beat vs remaining beats in the bar. Best of all a setlist maker that stores your song titles and tempo setting. I love it!
It’s soooooo close
by The snorlax on 2019/04/21 17:38
If Apple could get their head out of their butt and give us a slider for haptic intensity instead of just “default” or “prominent” then maybe the developer could put in the option to increase the haptic metronome on the watch. Disappointing that the app can’t stay open on the watch either, also Apple’s problem. 😢😢😢
Great app
by AnimeloverDxD on 2019/04/19 20:46
Cute lil design as well
works exactly as advertised.
by seal_eggs on 2019/04/18 00:15
i’m a beginner-intermediate guitarist. i know my pentatonics and handful of punk songs. now that you know my skill level, let’s get into the review. this is perfect. you can set the time signature, the click sound (or haptic if you prefer that), how many clicks per beat, and the color for up- and down-beats separately. it also works seamlessly whether or not you have the app open. i can connect my phone to my amp, start Pulse, pull up a tab in ultimate guitar, and have the metronome sound coming out of my amp speakers the whole time i’m practicing the song. also good if you’re trying to figure out something by ear. if you tap your screen in time with the kick drum, Pulse will set the metronome to that tempo, so once you figure out the notes you have the speed reference w/o hearing the rest of the band. bottom line: i would absolutely recommend this app.
Amazing metronome!

Haptics
by MusicalMaven6543 on 2019/04/09 21:38
Like the app for Apple Watch, but I would like the ability to change the sensitivity of the haptics while moving my arms and conducting. It’s a bit too soft to feel when the arms are in motion. Great app though!!
Finally, a functional free metronome
by EDAWJ15 on 2019/03/31 23:42
This metronome is amazing, mostly because it is free. It can subdivide, tap for tempo, and even has a visual representation of the tempo with rings being emitted from the center. My only complaint is that when subdividing, there is no difference in sound between downbeats and upbeats. Other than that, phenomenal App.
Love this

Got some issues...
by Ocean239 on 2019/03/15 18:16
I was really excited to use this app for my drumline section because sometimes we can’t hear the metronome speaker very well. I was really excited when it came out on android so that all of my section could use it! But... android doesn’t have the connectivity option! After finding a different device to use it on, we were so excited to get started! But then, despite all of us having our Bluetooth on, some of the phones couldn’t connect to the party so we can’t use it. I was really bummed when we couldn’t use it for rehearsal.

Amazing and beautiful style.
by Ninnnnnnnnnnn on 2019/02/11 01:29
It’s simple and there are no hidden costs for simple necessities such as subdivision like the three other apps I’ve tried and disliked. It is beautifully styled and extremely useful and easy to use.
Best metronome app by far!!!
by prawitt on 2019/02/09 21:35
I like how clean an organized it is. It’s cool how you can choose your own color, other than what they already give you. My only complaint is the click sounds. They are good but I wish there were more to choose from. It’s all free and it’s by far the best app I have used in my whole musical career! Love it!🥁🥁
Fantastic for a beginner like me!
by Robergjr on 2019/02/06 03:06
Just learning classical guitar, and of this app is such a blessing. I don’t know what I would do without it. It helps me a great deal to keep temple with the process of learning note placement and timing. I would recommend to anyone beginning to play and learn the guitar.
Great app for musicians
by baswoon on 2019/01/29 00:35
The app is very user friendly and customizable for however you like your screen. It’s not a distraction from playing and allows great knowledge of tempo. I love having odd-metered time signatures and the choices in subdivision for free. Definitely recommend for any musician!
Adjusting Vibration Velocity
by cadenmalott on 2019/01/25 17:28
This is an amazing app. It does everything I want it to do. However, I would love an option to increase vibration velocity, as I’m a drummer and would enjoy getting a very noticeable pulse instead of a less prominent one. Other than that, great work!
Amazing.
by lmday19 on 2019/01/17 00:08
Love this app. Metronome of my dreams.
Can’t seem to keep metronome awake and haptic feedback too faint
by LuanOfVienna on 2019/01/10 01:52
I have not been able to keep the beat to continue without stoping when the watch goes to sleep mode. Also, haptic feedback is to faint to feel much.
Haptics on Apple Watch 4 are not strong enough
by Ukuliam on 2019/01/09 19:33
I like the interface that this simple metronome has. However, since I hoped to use it primarily on my Apple Watch, I was saddened to find that the haptics are not strong enough to be noticed while playing an instrument. As a drummer and bassist, the haptics were not strong enough to stand out while playing either instrument. It would be great to have the functionality to customize the force of the haptics to the user’s needs. I will happily change my rating if this is added in an update. Thank you.
Pulse is weak
by CML_intel on 2019/01/08 02:51
Downloaded because it’s the only one that has haptic feedback. It is pretty weak though.
The best metronome app that I have ever used!!
by nyonyo1 on 2018/12/07 03:20
Why I like this metronome? 1. It produces loud sound. 2. I can change the color for downbeats. 3. Free too!!

Great Tool for Any Musician
by I'm supermanz!!! on 2018/09/13 01:33
As a member of two separate bands, I don’t carry around a metronome or a tuner. This app, in combination with the Bandmate Chromatic Tuner app, are invaluable to me. Its interface is very user friendly, and its customizable colors and sounds are great. I recommend this app for any musician.
Great app, just one issue...
by Starjet321 on 2018/09/05 17:45
I love the app! It’s simple and easy to use. My only problem is with the playlists. We should have the ability to edit playlist titles, tempos, and time signatures after setting a playlist. The inability to do so makes it little inconvenient to quickly change tempos. Overall, the app makes my job as a percussion instructor a bit easier.
The best metronome app
by lisac183 on 2018/09/01 19:27

Awesome minimalist metronome! Love the customization features, and I can easily adjust the speed of the metronome. I use it for violin, so I love that while I’m in the home screen of my electronic, it’s still running in the background. All in all, my favorite metronome app!

by Donuts r cool🍩 on 2018/08/09 04:02
I see this becoming a great metronome, just now it is amazing and really easy to use. However if you try to put in a tempo like say 100 bpm when you lift off your finger it moves to 99 bpm or so. It also isn’t clear on all the features from the beginning, maybe a small tutorial from new users would be great. I use it for percussion and will use it on piano too, works really well!
Love this app. Probably my favorite of all of them out there
by Mawlllmawwwlll on 2018/08/04 22:43
To all fellow musicians, if your looking for a good metronome app, this is the one. I, no joke, use it all of the time when I practice/or do homework. Is easy to use and I really like the layout of it (modern and simple). Has all advanced features as well for more complicated rhythms and time signatures which is super helpful. Get it people!
Great app

Apple Watch haptic issue
by Jbug33 on 2018/07/28 21:51
Got this app to help me walk to a specific beat to retrain my brain after a stroke. Useless with Apple Watch because it stops when you lower your wrist to walk and there is absolutely no way to keep the app alive. Very disappointed in Apple for not allowing an app to keep alive. Renders the app on Apple Watch completely useless.

Overall, the app is pretty good. It’s free, there are free plenty of different time signatures to work with, and it is easy to change the tone of beat and speed. I almost didn’t give it five stars because I hate metronomes, but I have to give praise where it is due.

Apple Watch
by steV3nom on 2017/12/29 19:28
The app itself is great. 5 stars on the iPhone. I give it only 1 star however because I think the Apple Watch implementation is a great idea, however when you move your wrist down to play guitar for example, the watch screen shuts off, and the haptics stop, and as a guitar player in a band, it is better to have a quiet haptic metronome when warming up than to have to take out headphones in order to hear the metronome. The app addresses this issue by saying to go into your watch settings and go to wake screen, but there is no option to keep the watch screen from turning off, only an option to keep it from turning on when your raise your watch. This may be a development limitation, and maybe Apple needs to make a way to keep the watch screen from going dark when using a certain app, but nonetheless the app advertises that it can give you haptic feedback to give you your tempo, and it delivers, however for many instrument players, this feature is useless because many of them lower their wrist to play, thus shutting the screen off and rendering this feature useless. Hopefully there is a workaround eventually, I really like the idea of the app, but it needs to fix this critical issue before it is given a full 5 stats from me.
Very Good
by A-Dev-who-is-also-a-user on 2018/02/19 13:20
I don’t use this app very often; however, when I do, it is a very nice to use as it has a clean interface. Sometimes I need a metronome to get a beat, after that, I am okay. I like how you can sync a tempo with another device. I also like the countdown when synced with another iPhone (if this could be done even when not synced, it would be great). I do not have an Apple Watch and therefore cannot say anything about that. ISSUES THAT I HAVE: When you first open the app, you are asked what you will use this app for, and what instrument you play. I Don’t mind this, but I don’t understand why it matters. Also if you could change this setting later. Also haptic feedback does not happen on iPhone 7. SUGGESTIONS: If you could set a separate sound for the down and upbeats, that would be nice. CONCLUSION: Very good and I would recommend it to someone who wants a metronome. Four not five stars because of the aforementioned issues and some other problems to insignificant to mention here.
works exactly as advertised.
by seal_eggs on 2019/04/18 00:15
i’m a beginner-intermediate guitarist. i know my pentatonics and handful of punk songs. now that you know my skill level, let’s get into the review. this is perfect. you can set the time signature, the click sound (or haptic if you prefer that), how many clicks per beat, and the color for up- and down-beats separately. it also works seamlessly whether or not you have the app open. i can connect my phone to my amp, start Pulse, pull up a tab in ultimate guitar, and have the metronome sound coming out of my amp speakers the whole time i’m practicing the song. also good if you’re trying to figure out something by ear. if you tap your screen in time with the kick drum, Pulse will set the metronome to that tempo, so once you figure out the notes you have the speed reference w/o hearing the rest of the band. bottom line: i would absolutely recommend this app.
Stripped down, elegant
by kanrasha on 2017/09/02 20:30
This app keeps a beat just like you need it to and does nothing else. It is simple and intuitive to use as well as easy to look at with no distracting features or ads. For that, i would donate to the company myself. Features that could be nice might include the beethoven metronome presets or alternative sounds. Im fine without them, although occassionally i do require the beethoven presets and must use a different metronome. That being said, i prefer this over any when practicing to a click
Astonishing!
by Dciordie on 2017/09/14 04:17
I usually don't bother reviewing apps but I just felt so inclined. This app is phenomenal. I absolutely love it and have spread it to all my friends who have an Apple Watch. As a music student this app is fantastic. Virtually a requirement for any musician who owns an Apple Watch. I sincerely hope to see Pulse become the gold standard for metronome apps. I use it more than my actual metronome and I greatly appreciate how you can also physically feel the beat as opposed to just hearing it. I can't wait to see how they expand and improve!
Beautiful Simplicity
by DiamondSpartan117 on 2018/03/04 23:19
A gorgeous metronome that easily lets me set a bpm and just go. No overly confusing interface or weird dials. Just set the speed and go. One suggestion I’d have, however, is due to the only way to change the bpm is through the circle, fine tuning it can be tedious at times. As in from 101 bpm, to 100 bpm for example. A simple ability to tap the right side of the screen to make it go up one and the left to go down instead of setting the tempo through tap would be a nice option available. Incredible app none the less
Drum practice
by Music c.1960 on 2017/11/20 03:43
Great app for a drummer to stay focused on accurate tempos, while practicing techniques. Not just for beginners. The wide range of tempo settings and time signature variety makes this a very useful tool, even for the advanced percussionist. There was just one small humorous glitch in the questions after opening the app. The “bot” asked “what instruments are played?” I had to check vocalist in order to get out of the menu. Seriously, they did not include percussion as a choice? Shame on you!
Pulse
by FriendlyRec on 2017/09/16 14:04
This app is phenominal. Incredibly simple to use- all the options are cleanly and stylishly displayed. I tried two other metronome apps, and both were complicated as heck. Their menus were in hidden places with useless options, and the only useful option, subdivisions, required an in-app purchase. Pulse has subdivisions built in. This app is great if you want a metronome with necessary options and no extra confusion.
Apple Watch doesn’t work
by Anna the Wacky Banana on 2018/02/08 17:11
As several others have commented, the Watch app doesn’t really work. Stops as soon as the screen goes off, and there doesn’t appear to be any way to disable that. Even worse, it’ll start and stop as you turn your wrist, which messes up the tempo and completely defeats the purpose. Not sure why the dev submitted this as a Watch app. Should probably remove it unless they find a workaround or provide detailed instructions on how to set the Watch not to turn off the screen.
Good app but minor problems
by violin_1 on 2018/01/19 00:09
I really like this app. I’m a violinist and i use it almost every day when I practice. One issue though is that when you click the little quarter note though to choose your tempo the is only the choice of a quarter note an eighth note or a sixteenth note. There is no half or dotted half not option ☹️. This is disappointing because many pieces’ are for example : Dotted half note=100 or whatever. But overall very good app!
Great!
by Donuts r cool🍩 on 2018/08/09 04:02
I see this becoming a great metronome, just now it is amazing and really easy to use. However if you try to put in a tempo like say 100 bpm when you lift off your finger it moves to 99 bpm or so. It also isn’t clear on all the features from the beginning, maybe a small tutorial from new users would be great. I use it for percussion and will use it on piano too, works really well!
Great idea, poor execution
by Kohai16 on 2017/08/11 14:02
I got this thinking wow this has some promise as feeling the metronome would be more enjoyable than listening to a tick track or looking for a flashing light. Haptic pulse isn't strong enough to feel if your moving around so that kinda defeats the purpose. Also if your wrist turns away it shuts off with the watch, though it continues once the watch is turned to face you again. I attempted to change my watch settings to see if this could be corrected but the asnwer is no. Until those two flaws are corrected the app just isn't worth your time.
I use it a lot
by NotAsBigBen on 2017/12/03 02:57
This app is pretty useful for all kinds of musicians. The very customizable tempo helps for doing all sorts of things more easily than with a store bought metronome. I find that it is especially useful for playing fast, metal-oriented solos on guitar. However, if you plan on fine tuning your playing at normal volume and settings, it’s best to use something a bit louder later on.
Very good, one regretful limitation
by Jtwbru on 2018/05/29 16:17
This app is phenomenal and I love the Taptic feedback on the phone and watch. This is great if you’re going to perform and you just want to make sure you’ve got the right tempo in your head. One limitation that’s a little frustrating is that you have to go into the app’s settings to switch between sound and Taptic pulse. It would be great if there was an easy-access switch on the main screen for this feature.
Helped me with my run
by JoeTwitter on 2018/08/27 17:29
I’ve been working on picking up my running cadence to 180 BPM. It’s hard to find the perfect music to this and with my best efforts I was at 176. First time I used Pulse I was able to hold 182. True I have to use it from my phone and not watch but still, it’s awesome and no ads. These guys who made it are tops in my book. Great application and easy to set up.
Amazing!
by nuggetCat2017 on 2018/07/21 20:23
I’m in marching band and need to practice my music. The deferent colors make it fun and the settings are easy to understand. I also love how you can change the sound of the metronome trim a tick to a cowbell to snare sticks. I’m in the precision and the snare sticks helps a lot. Also there is a clear tone change on beat one wick helps keep you from getting lost! I love this app!
Love it!🥁🥁
Best metronome - physical or electronic
by Tucker S Showkeir on 2018/05/20 05:27
This met is better than the one my band director uses. It’s so simple and easy to use. Two things I’d suggest are to add more subdivisions like 32nd notes, and also to include tempo words like allegro, grave, presto, etc. All in all, such a useful app. I also love that you can connect multiple devices to one! It really helps with my trombone quartet!
Watch version works now
by k0b13 on 2018/02/04 18:34
Old review: The phone version seems like exactly what I'd want from a metronome, but it doesn't work on the watch. I have a 2nd gen Apple Watch and when set to 85 it's more like 40 bpm. If you get this for the watch app you will likely be dissapointed. Edit: the developers responded, and the app works on the new series Watch now!
What a great app 😁!!!
by @koroks4life on 2019/03/23 04:47
What a great app! I love this app and it is such a great use the personalization and different options for tempo time signature and even click sounds along with the colors. It is truly one of the best metronomes to use and I’ve always had a hard time finding a good one! I highly recommend you use this app
Practice Tool
by Non Triste on 2017/10/04 21:46
This app has helped me improve my guitar playing over the 6 months I’ve had it!! I’ve gotten so much better at staying on tempo and even playing at faster tempos (215 bpm)!!!! I would definitely recommend this to any musicians looking to better their practice sessions and playing in the long run!!!
Absolutely amazing
by RyanRocks1054 on 2017/12/02 06:10
I love this app it can do almost anything and I love how you can personalize it as far as changing the color of the up beats and down beats it even lets you hook it up to multiple devices allowing one member of a band to control the tempo for all members through one device I love this
Very Useful
by CatZelda on 2018/03/24 23:41
I’m quite pleased with this app. It’s been very useful to me as a collegiate musician over the past couple years. The design is pleasantly minimalistic and I like that I can choose the colors. One small gripe I have is that after the most recent update it’s asking me which instrument I play and harp is not an option. I’d like to see that added in if possible.
Awe-some
by beginer percussionist on 2017/10/18 02:21
I couldn't find one dang metronome that was free and could play eighth notes as whelk as quarter notes or free, I'm a big in percussionist and playing with the metronome is important! When I found pulse I was like "OMG ITS COLOR CODED AND IT HAS EIGHTH NOTES" long story short this was a big win for me and I can tell this app will be used and loved by me for a long time!
Essential item in my gig bag
by こんにちは、イムマック on 2018/02/25 04:34
I love this app. I actually keep an old phone with it installed in my gig bag so I always have it. The only thing i wish it had was the ability for the apple watch app to keep working after the screen turns off automatically.
Best metronome app
by joshuanberk on 2019/07/01 00:48
Very easy, doesn't force a premium function down my throat. I can choose my time signature, choose my tempo, and thats all I care about. Its easy to use, extensive, and convenient. This is literally just a metronome app, unlike the millions of other bs apps

by sarid69 on 2018/08/17 05:03
Honestly I didn’t know if I should have downloaded it but it works great , it has 3 options on what you what you use it for , music running and I forgot the last one . But I usually read reviews before I get something sooo yeah this is a great metronome for me.
AMAZING!!
by Angelsofdestiny7 on 2019/09/12 00:56
I found this app today because I was desperate for some sort of app to use for a quiz on my violin 2 octave scale. I found this app, and it blew me away! I was asked to use Voice Memos to submit my scale, and surprisingly the metronome worked even when I wasn’t on the app! Thanks Pulse!! 😁
Nice
by metronomeuserconstantbeat on 2018/07/25 18:12
Overall, the app is pretty good. It’s free, there are free plenty of different time signatures to work with, and it is easy to change the tone of beat and speed. I almost didn’t give it five stars because I hate metronomes, but I have to give praise where it is due.
Extraordinary app.
by wchen2018717 on 2018/08/30 19:28
Awesome minimalist metronome! Love the customization features, and I can easily adjust the speed of the metronome. I use it for violin, so I love that while I’m in the home screen of my electronic, it’s still running in the background. All in all, my favorite metronome app!
All I Need
by jman1283 on 2019/04/22 04:47
Really beautiful clean look. Simple but beautifully planned out interface on a metronome with; tap tempo, meter choice, color options for down beat vs remaining beats in the bar. Best of all a setlist maker that stores your song titles and tempo setting. I love it!
Doesn’t do what I need it to do.
by Ms.Flutey on 2018/02/28 13:12
The only time I can feel the haptics in the phone be is when I hold it in my hand. That makes it useless as I need my hands to play. I had hoped to put it in a pocket or set it on my leg while I play but that doesn’t work. I downloaded this app to use in my teaching studio. I was going to hold the phone in the student’s body (back, arm, leg...) while they play, but it doesn’t work for that.
Love it already. Simple.
by JAKe30-06 on 2018/03/30 18:18
I just downloaded this because the app I used since 2011 was not updated for iOS 11. This is just as simple, but adds a few features I may actually use sometime. Well done!

This is an amazing idea for a great free metronome app that is helpful and fun. I emailed the team with a suggestion and they replied to me a few weeks later notifying me my idea was put into a new update. For those wondering, my idea was tapping on the sides of the dial for more precise tempo setting.

just one problem
by mellnie_ on 2019/11/17 02:06
i love this app don’t get me wrong, but there is one problem. so i got this metronome because the other one i have doesn’t change the pitch for the subdivision. what i like about the other one is that you can change the sound the metronome makes. this one you can’t, and it doesn’t sound good in my recordings.

I like the idea of the app, but it doesn’t work that well. Like others have said, it turns off if you move your wrist a certain way. Also, the vibration is not strong enough to really keep track of, especially if you’re not standing perfectly still.

All I Need
by jman1283 on 2019/04/22 04:47
Really beautiful clean look.
Great app

i’m a beginner-intermediate guitarist. i know my pentatonics and handful of punk songs. now that you know my skill level, let’s get into the review. this is perfect. you can set the time signature, the click sound (or haptic if you prefer that), how many clicks per beat, and the color for up- and down-beats separately. it also works seamlessly whether or not you have the app open. i can connect my phone to my amp, start Pulse, pull up a tab in ultimate guitar, and have the metronome sound coming out of my amp speakers the whole time i’m practicing the song. also good if you’re trying to figure out something by ear. if you tap your screen in time with the kick drum, Pulse will set the metronome to that tempo, so once you figure out the notes you have the speed reference w/o hearing the rest of the band. bottom line: i would absolutely recommend this app.

Haptics
by MusicalMaven6543 on 2019/04/09 21:38
Like the app for Apple Watch, but I would like the ability to change the sensitivity of the haptics while moving my arms and conducting.

Amazing.

It also isn’t clear on all the features from the beginning, maybe a small tutorial from new users would be great. I use it for percussion and will use it on piano too, works really well!

Apple Watch
by steV3nom on 2017/12/29 19:28
The app itself is great.

Until those two flaws are corrected the app just isn't worth your time.

by NotAsBigBen on 2017/12/03 02:57
This app is pretty useful for all kinds of musicians. The very customizable tempo helps for doing all sorts of things more easily than with a store bought metronome. I find that it is especially useful for playing fast, metal-oriented solos on guitar. However, if you plan on fine tuning your playing at normal volume and settings, it’s best to use something a bit louder later on.

Love it!🥁🥁
Best metronome - physical or electronic
by Tucker S Showkeir on 2018/05/20 05:27
This met is better than the one my band director uses.
Awe-some
by beginer percussionist on 2017/10/18 02:21
I couldn't find one dang metronome that was free and could play eighth notes as whelk as quarter notes or free, I'm a big in percussionist and playing with the metronome is important!
Greaaatt
by sarid69 on 2018/08/17 05:03
Honestly I didn’t know if I should have downloaded it but it works great , it has 3 options on what you what you use it for , music running and I forgot the last one .
Nice
by metronomeuserconstantbeat on 2018/07/25 18:12
Overall, the app is pretty good.
I love it!
Love it already. Simple.
by JAKe30-06 on 2018/03/30 18:18
I just downloaded this because the app I used since 2011 was not updated for iOS 11. This is just as simple, but adds a few features I may actually use sometime. Well done!
The best metronome app
by lisac183 on 2018/09/01 19:27
I have tried so many different apps and none of them even come close to this one. The design is beautiful and it is simple and easy to use. I love everything about this met!

I love how this app is free and easily accessible. It is compatible with a multitude of instruments and running styles. It’s settings are easy to use and the user gets to mark the beats of each song. A total must for all music players!
Easy to use app for counting beats
by Porch100 on 2019/04/12 17:27
Needed simple metronome found something more than expected. Be sure to change settings and experiment with different beats and sounds. Easy to use and play with.
Best metronome app
by VGODMISH on 2018/04/30 19:41
This is an amazing idea for a great free metronome app that is helpful and fun. I emailed the team with a suggestion and they replied to me a few weeks later notifying me my idea was put into a new update. For those wondering, my idea was tapping on the sides of the dial for more precise tempo setting.
Just what I needed
by zen hiker on 2017/08/22 22:41
It does exactly what I needed it to do. Very simple to use, quick and easy to adjust speed during practice sessions, and a nice selection of sounds to choose from. I'm glad I went with this app.
