When I first got this game it worked perfectly fine! No freezes no bugs this game is so addictive! Five stars✌️🤘
Similar to everyone else
by beep oh bop boo on 2019/12/12 21:42
My review seems similar to every one else here. I downloaded this game to play trivia and all I’ve done is watch ads. I can’t even play anymore because even though I win most of my games, I don’t win enough money to keep playing. I’ve been playing for about a month, and only earn enough to play maybe 3 games a day... I would play a lot more if I didn’t have to pay for more money or watch even MORE ads to get money. This game is money hungry and will die soon if they don’t take care of their players.
Pretty good but some questions are outdated
by geertje on 2019/12/12 10:15
Pretty good trivia game but some questions are outdated making them wrong (one referred to 12 nations- the “answer question” was what is the EU but at the time I received this clue the EU had 28 member states (soon to be 27))... its been a loooong time since that question was written) other similar issues. Overall a fun game but it has flaws.
Fun-but rigged
by dagmarvb on 2019/12/12 07:36
You can get every question right and double your money on both daily doubles and still lose- that’s frustrating.
Ehhh
by Wild Failure on 2019/12/11 21:40
Core of the game is decent but it’s far too greedy for your money to the point that it becomes difficult to play and anyone can win if they spend enough. Costs a total of $15 to even get rid of the *very* long ads after each game. There are better trivia apps than this.
The ads, the layout. The ads are super loud and there’s no escape forever
by jaxoped on 2019/12/11 17:55
I can’t play and relax. I’m overwhelmed by cartoons of people dying in the commercials. It’s negative reinforcements. There’s very little pleasure in this app.
Daily Bonus
by MLK2020 on 2019/12/11 17:24
On the daily bonus game why place the larger sums (240k/800k) on the board, when the system is not set up to land on them. Make it feasible and fair with smaller money. Just a thought.

by J.W.Ver on 2019/12/11 02:59

You get beat by people who pay to play
by llostwolf on 2019/12/10 03:50
Many times people pay to use power ups which gives them an unfair advantage. Also many times the game gets hung up in ads and the only way to get out of the ad is to close the app and reopen which causes you to lose . Game could be fun though

Super fun to play when waiting for your connecting flight
More money more wins
by Steindad on 2019/12/09 16:17
Quickly turns into pay to play if you actually want to win the games. Doesn’t matter how many questions you answer right. Those who spend the most real money on powerups will always win in the end.
Money
by crybabybooby on 2019/12/09 04:35
Sigh, when I think of all the games I would have won if it weren’t for these power-ups. I managed to score 5 million this week, but without those cheats I’d be a god. BTW, if you haven’t already gathered, I never use them. Why play if you have to cheat? I once suggested a version without power ups and still do. I think people who are real fans of the show would love it.
Pop up Ads
by Mew1464 on 2019/12/09 00:03
After every play you have to wait thru the pop ups

Uken or apple deleted review again, this game is a pure scam, that steals money from old ladies pensions and fans of the show. It is a scam do not download, they also violate location blocking on iPhones. 5 ads per game. And if you win you never get paid. Edit: this game is a pure scam, created by old ladies ( its built horribly, no offense) to take money from old ladies. I have never used a worse app in my life. I also have never reviewed an app before either. It’s beyond bad. Seriously I hope I save those who read this. Message me I’ll give you 100 better games to play trivia and everything. And I just laugh at the developer responses to my reviews and others. If that isn’t enough to keep you away, what is? I’m not the only one to review this way, if it’s free to play game I’ve never seen something so freemium in my life. The developers are greedy greedy pigs.
Pretty bad
by Liam Griggs on 2019/12/08 15:31
It goes in rounds and you play two “opponents”, who I’m sure are computer controlled. Because double jeopardy wagers are random, you may never get one and someone else might, meaning you can answer every question correctly and still lose. That isn’t fun. I played for about an hour and uninstalled. There are better, less rigged games out there
Too hard
by won't bother next time on 2019/12/08 08:55
Ive been playing this game for years, but in the last few months it seems to have gotten much harder. I dont think your average player enjoys it very much. Its not fun if you dont win occasionally. Please bring back the old game.

by vddtregithwtuxtuxtu on 2019/12/07 17:12
Fun game, but you need to stop cheating the real players! It seems to me that you continue to make it so we can win a few, then when we’re close to running out of money, you make us lose thinking we will purchase more from you to continue! Let us play fair!!!! Another thing that is really dumb is when you have the special even games, at first they are all relative to the categories, and after you play for a day or so, you throw in irrelevant categories!! Stop it! Stick to the main specialty! Throwing in baseball, etc. questions in an all music event, for example is wrong!!!!!! Seems like once again, you don’t like us who know the answers to be able to win and earn money! FIX THIS!!!!
Fun enough to play...but very disappointing.
by MrTinkerton on 2019/12/07 14:31
For a game with the Jeopardy brand, I expected a LOT more. The questions are fun, and I do enjoy playing the game, however ALL of the auxiliary features are disappointing or broke. You HAVE to watch lots of ads, or pay money to get rid of them. If you do, you lose the ability to voluntarily watch ads for more in-game money. SEVERAL central features (like choosing an avatar, or playing leaderboards) are unavailable unless you link your Facebook account...IF you even have a Facebook account! Winning a round doesn’t guarantee you have enough money to play another round (1st place should AT LEAST give your entry fee back...and 2nd/3rd place is NOTHING). You have to do very well AND finish in 1st to not lose ground. Recently several ads have resulted in “black screen” crashes. Some questions (not a lot, to be fair) are very poor quality. My favorite example so far is “Of choices A, B, and C...” with options C, D, and E. Free points? How generous. The BEST value in the store (not the one you SAY is best...briefcase of cash...) will earn just under 580k in two and a half months. Right now that’s only worth 7 games at my “current” stage (I can play lower tier stages more, of course for less rewards). Frankly, I’ll keep playing...but y’all won’t get any of my money unless you improve the experience.
The Price is Wrong
by amt009 on 2019/12/07 08:34
It seems the game has been changed recently so that instead of playing all clues through 1 round, players choose 5 clues from each of 2 rounds before final jeopardy. Pro: it feels a bit more like real Jeopardy, where contestants must strategize which clues to select and there is a a Double Jeopardy round. Con: it is much, much more difficult to win any money. Even when I play well and win, I barely break even—if a game costs $40k to play, I win ~$40k. For the same cost in the former version, I would usually win ~$80k. I have not netted more than $10k in a win since the redesign. Much like in life itself, I feel like I must work twice as hard just to tread water, and it’s no longer fun. Anyone have another game suggestion?
Definitely better than it used to be
by amyrj on 2019/12/07 01:30
With the option of using gold to find the daily doubles you can win whenever you want to. And if you play it right you can earn the gold.
Too many ads
by Jms255 on 2019/12/06 12:53
The app used to be great, but as time goes on there seems to be more and more commercials to watch. I understand, we all have to make money but with some you have a choice, like if you want more points- With others you have no choice but to watch. You’re not actually playing anymore you’re just watching 30-second ads every minute. Can’t enjoy the game.

Fun but why all the sports?
by Bee bop a loo bop on 2019/12/05 20:05
I enjoy the game but not sure why the heavy emphasis on sports? Maybe an attempt to appeal to a wider audience. Be that as it may, it’s a fun app. Perhaps facilitating communication between group members would enhance the experience... very hard to strategize and exchange comments with the current interface.

Love it!
by MoonBury on 2019/12/05 11:46
Watched Jeopardy all my life. I know I'll never be on the show, so playing this is the next best thing! I've only been playing for a few week's, but I've broken already my rule of never spending real cash on a phone game. Only 10$ but I'm totally addicted! I bought packages that give me cash and gold daily (30 day's only) that way I'm spreading out my real cash's playing power. That way I'm not buying a lump of game tokens (/cash) and spending it in just a few games. In another game I purchased a similar package, receiving daily game tokens for a year for only $20. That's all I spent (ever!) and I felt I got my money's worth. This is only for 30 days but this game I'm learning new things and is a much better game. If I'm still loving and playing this game in a couple months I might buy the VIP monthly package of $10. I have already used my free trial but I felt it wasn't quite worth it. If it had a daily cash or gold bar bonus I'd buy it in a heart beat.

Shakespeare. The Bible. Sports. Geography.

by swtemtgrl2000 on 2019/12/05 00:45
I love the concept but not the fact as everyone else has said that if you win you should be able to break even. If you guys don’t fix this you will lose many many loyal customers. Also, it takes forever to level up even at the lower levels it will get so boring. So as a developer you can do one of two things. Listen to your customers and fix this or continue down your path and don’t but lose people and money. Greed is definitely playing a part In this game. You say make 5,000-6000 points that is almost impossible. You need to let us answer more questions or lower the threshold Nancy
Nothing like the original Jeopardy app I paid for.
by Mike88a on 2019/12/05 00:20
The original Jeopardy game app I paid for is no longer in the App Store, so I downloaded this app instead. There is no landscape mode, and the gameplay hardly resembles the TV show. I already deleted it.

by jkra20 on 2019/12/04 17:28
They don’t give you much cash to play the game because they want you to buy from the store. You basically get to play twice a day because they don’t give you any winnings from the games you play so it’s hard to level up.
Trivia is fun, too many goofy extras
by ATLmama on 2019/12/04 12:13
The trivia is fun and can be challenging, and the look/style is good—and Alex looks like Alex! But why is it necessary to have so many typical app-game “extras”?? Power ups, and pay extra to unlock, and a bank, and gold, and cash, and stamps, and “limited time offers” These are just a few examples of many. For a game as well known as Jeopardy it doesn’t add anything to the game-playing experience, and in fact detracts from it. Fine, keep a few of these goofy extras for whatever reason you put them there in the first place, but there are just far too many.

by pohaka on 2019/12/04 04:10

Ads/need for In game currency to play kill the game.

This game is really challenging and it’s not easy to answer the questions in the few seconds they give you. The only problem with this game is sometimes you get questions that you have already been asked and you already know the answers. Overall this game is challenging and fun.

by eriecanal1 on 2019/12/01 13:42

by iMike60707 on 2019/12/01 04:42
I wanted this game for the trivia, and the added nostalgia of the host made it a no brainer. Playing at first is fun & the questions are difficult enough to keep that magical blend of fun & challenging. After the first few rounds repeated gameplay seems like a chore. I think the game really wants you to make in app purchases. To keep it fun it seems you go undefeated, or pony up some money. I keep the game only to play a few times a week. Great flow & the look of the game is competitive with other apps.

Gotta Spend Real $$$ If You Wanna Keep Playing
by Robby Mcdobby on 2019/12/01 01:58
It’s really hard to win, almost like it seems fixed. After a couple games, you’re out of cash so you gotta spend real money to get more. Unless you want to wait all day for your bank to replenish. I don’t know. Imma go play Trivia Crack because at least that’s fun.
Fun but challenging

Endless ads and constantly pumping you for money
by Philipsaysok on 2019/11/29 23:26
It starts out fun, but within a few rounds you spend more time clicking through ads and endless attempts to get you to spend money instead of playing the game. My recommendation to the publisher: let people just play the game. If I want to play wheel of fortune I’ll download it and play it. I don’t need a 2-minute wheel of fortune walkthrough in between every round of jeopardy. Additionally, reduce the clicks! This is a game of endless pop ups trying to get you to spend money. Why? Does Jeopardy the show not make enough?
Oh well
by vamptekk on 2019/11/29 21:09
I love Jeopardy and Alex Trebek. I love trivia and knowledge. The reason 4 stars is the most I can muster is because there are still so many things about the game I don’t know. With the J challenge, I don’t even know what the prize is when I win. To be truly successful in the game requires spending money that someone on Social Security can not afford. I wish there was an equitable way that one’s knowledge was enough to win.

Too many sports questions
by Judieann 26 on 2019/11/28 15:54
I have been playing Jeopardy for a couple of years and enjoying moderate success. Recently there is a plethora of sports questions...even disguised as other categories for final jeopardy. I know a lot of general answers about sports, but not players from 15-20 years ago. Taking the fun out of playing. 😬
Great App but multipliers should be removed

OK, but...
by CltNC830 on 2019/11/27 16:08
Plays much like the TV version, but each round only has 3 categories with 3 answers each, and you only have to answer 5. The game is set up so you get a better experience if you pay actual real money for power-ups and boosters, which I refuse to do. It makes me wonder how people would do if they had to play straight up and not get help (i.e. one booster is a double chance, another eliminates one wrong answer). I’ve read where people claim you aren’t playing against real people, but actually against bots. I can’t really speak to that definitively. (see edit below) Finally, my app had a glitch and wasn’t able to play for about 2 weeks. I sent an e-mail to tech support, and while they did respond that they got my e-mail, I got no updates about the status of my issue. Which leads me to my last complaint. You go up in levels by being in the top-20 (or something) for the week, you stay at the same level if you are from 21-69, and you drop a level if you are from 70-100, so the game is set up for you to keep playing (and, ideally from the developers POV), and spending money, every day. So if you don’t play, you can drop. Which is what happened to me when I WASN’T ABLE TO PLAY for 2 weeks: I dropped 2 levels. B—-$—t edited to add: this game is FIXED. One day I played 2 games in a row and was matched against 2 “guests,” and I’m almost 99% sure it was the same 2 each time. One would stay with me points-wise for a bit, then somehow would go ahead on either a Daily Double or a Points-Doubler power up. This happened both games, so...NOT a coincidence. The end result being the “guest” went in to Final Jeopardy EACH GAME with 13,600 points. This happened both games, so...NOT a coincidence. edited to add: it happened FOUR. TIMES. IN. A. ROW.
Scam to get your money
by dullboy17 on 2019/11/27 12:50
There are so many issues with this game that they call random when it clearly isn’t. They just want your money and want you to spend spend spend. My new issue with the game is that when you go on a two or three game win streak you are then faced off against people, or bots, that get impossible scores to beat unless you use your gold to wager more or look for daily doubles.

Hello Jeopardy lovers! A game that can help kill time! Fantastic! I am a full time employee and a mom! The only downfall is usually the Facebook part, should give the option to allow people to use other options for example an email address? Just a thought. If I missed that, whoops! Otherwise a great game , giving kudos to the developer! Great concept! I recommend to anyone from family to kids or to single individuals:) Thank you.

It could be fun, but the categories are redundant. every game I play has a Sports, especially baseball, or Bible category. The real jeopardy does not have that many bible/Old Testament categories its starting to be annoying.
Not quite the same
by Ahhhhsome86 on 2019/11/26 01:03
It’s not as if we all actually take turns choosing the category or amount, and buzzing in as to who gets it first. I think you both just kinda play your own game. Some of the questions are like really hard. I expect them to get harder. You have to buy into the game or win to really advance to next level. It costs a lot to play all the other side games. If you are into pumping money into games then this is your one
Jeopardy Review
by Red Carole on 2019/11/25 13:44
The opening music is much too loud. There is no settings button so that one could adjust the speed or the sound or other effects. Also, you have to bet a lot more money than you could possibly win and each round and that doesn’t seem quite fair. I don’t see the need for collecting gems Because they don’t have any value to your scores. They could be eliminated and you could add in more gold bars or diamonds.
Cheater’s Paradise!
by Kgsfo on 2019/11/25 07:39

Changes I Dislike & “Rewards Theatre”
by Hyacinth.Bucket on 2019/11/25 03:43
Changes that displease me: the cost to swap categories or daily doubles used to have a set price of 10 gold bars per swap. now, I think they’re either 30 gold bars per swap or they start at 10 and increase in 10 bar increments each use. Also, as another reviewer stated, there is no way to collect all prizes in the rewards theatre in a 24hr period or even manage to watch 15 adverts to get the 30 gold bar bonus! That’s displeasing. And I noticed as of yesterday or so....the 48k cash reward disappeared and one can only hope to watch enough ads to get the 16k. Also there was a 1 ad watch prize that disappeared, too. It was watch 1 ad to get an XP power up or some gems. Edit: I noticed the rewards theater no longer has “watch 15 ads for 30 gold bars,” now that bonus is reduced to “12 ads for 15 gold bars!!!” What the h3ll?! Ugh. And I played a lot and still didn’t get the opportunity to view the 12 ads.
Fun but can’t play as much as I’d like.
by a.marie1185 on 2019/11/25 02:04
I wish it were either cheaper to play different ones or easier to earn cash. If you have a bad round or two you’re stuck until your daily money builds back up and it takes a long time so I actually end up playing LESS than I would if I had more money.

by Melisseofficinale on 2019/11/24 04:11
Fun game, definitely addictive! Beware that if you run out of juice while playing a game, you will lose all the money you paid to enter the game, even if you were winning (this just happened to me, sic, 40k but it was resolved quickly so that was nice). Too many questions about sports. It would be nice to be able to play live with someone in the challenge games.

Too Much Nonsense
by tonemccone on 2019/11/23 21:24
Updated Review: The response from the developer (below) makes it seem like they’ve implemented ads reasonably, but they haven’t. And I wasn’t even just talking about the ads. But sure, go ahead and download it, and you’ll see what I mean about all the excess nonsense. I know this is the official Jeopardy app, but it plays like a generic knockoff, called “Geoparty!” as if they’re trying not to get sued. Downgraded from two stars to one, since the developer provided a generic response that doesn’t even consider most of what I pointed out, and was just trying to defend their awful ad implementation. — There is way too much nonsense going on in this app. Bonuses, the ability to buy a bigger bet for final jeopardy, power-ups, etc etc. Weird cash levels, every little thing trying to get you to spend your gold so you’ll buy more. It goes on and on. Really takes away from the straight-forward, classic approach of real jeopardy and turns it into an ad-churning machine. Blegh.

Very tough as you get higher in levels. I get that as you progress you get tougher opponents, but, sometimes it seems almost impossible. Very expensive to buy gold to be able to compete and now you took away the chance to get a measly 5 gold (by watching videos). Are you that greedy? I think we all know the answer. You will NEVER see another dime from me

Stopped working after last update :/
by vicstown on 2019/11/22 19:47
I give this 5 stars for the first 5 months, but after last update it now won’t fully load. When the game first comes up you’re automatically taken to a screen saying you have a chance to win money IF you update. However, you really don’t have a choice because the only way to get off this screen is to click the “update” button, which takes you to the App Store, giving you only the option to “open” (since you’ve already updated) and the cycle continues. No way to actually get into the game to play. I’ve restarted my phone several times and still the same situation. Please help, developers! Otherwise I love this game — both me and my SO play it often. Update: started working great for 1-2 months but suddenly froze up again — this time even before the game loads. All I get is a frozen screen with Alex Trebec, a “privacy policy” link and “terms of service” link. Clicking on either link doesn’t help the game load. Restarting app doesn’t work. Restarting phone doesn’t work. Waiting a day doesn’t work. Hoping a developer might see this and be able to help since I can’t even access customer support (a link contained within the game.)

by Kpop_rubba on 2017/09/09 18:41
Brilliant game; it has a incredible amount of content. I have played over 1,000 games and haven't had a repeated clue once (similar clues, yes, but never the exact same clue.) My only complaint is that it's extremely hard to win a game, especially at the advanced levels. And without winning games sometimes it hard to fill up the bank which is needed to access more games. There's been many times I went 20 or more games without a win, many of which were perfect games where i didn't get any clue wrong. Which begs the question. -How can you lose if you get every question right in a game ? Well your power ups and daily doubles have to line up just so that having a perfect game without the correct power ups and daily doubles are inconsequential. Going through game after game like this can get frustrating until luck, skill, and the stars align perfectly once again, and I can achieve the odd win and refill my bank.
Game could be great, but....
by J.Eng on 2018/01/11 16:18
I'm a big trivia nerd and watch Jeopardy every single day, so I thought this game would be great. It has potential, but falls short of what it could be. For one, I wish it played more like the real game and instead of points converting into money, you simply played for money. It's hard to know what your points convert to in dollars. And it's absolutely absurd that you can win the entire game and not even break even with how much you paid to play. I understand that the more points you have, the more money you get, but there shouldn't be a situation where you win and don't cover your cost of playing, that's just dumb and clearly trying to get you to have to pay in order to keep playing. I've also only been playing for a couple of weeks now (Level 12) but am already getting a lot of repeat questions. Clearly too, you aren't playing against real people but rather the computer as it never works out that "they" don't make it to the final Jeopardy round - they always manage to eek out some points at the end, even getting more than one double jeopardy in a round when I've always only gotten one at most. The game is just ok. The developers could make some improvements to make so much better and not have players feel like they're just trying to make us pay for being able to play. I'd rather pay a set fee to "buy" the game then have it nickel and dime me along the way.

it’s my first playing in online game and I watched Jeopardy understand every night on TV I love Jeopardy! however this game is so hard to understand there’s not enough directions on how to play it I have no clue about the points in dollars and know when you’re playing against somebody you’re not and yeah I have never played any game online but I’ll tell you this one just makes no sense to me I just enjoy being able to answer questions correctly makes me feel smart feels good if ever I can raise my status but I have no idea how to win more or raise my points more just isn’t clear there’s not enough direction. And capital letters don’t biggest thing I noticed is on final Jeopardy there’s absolutely no time to both read the question and think about it and answer compared to the TV program the amount of time you have to answer is half and I feel like that’s completely unrealistic and unfair to the player I’ve enjoyed playing but I don’t know how much longer will it needs to be set up differently needs to be a lot more user-friendly and I was shocked to know that you were asked actually asking for more money in order to play more I didn’t realize games operated that way otherwise it’s fun to have jeopardy and playing sometimes I just wish I knew more about how to play itIt definitely is not explained well at all from start to finish how to play thank you
Completely rigged!!
by TheMamaC on 2019/08/16 03:15
This is super fun when you first start… I won seven in a row then 10 in a row, and was sucked into buying extra gold bars in cash because then you are trying to just keep your status As you climb the ladder to different cities, yet they cost a hell of a lot more for work basically zero progress unless you put money into it!! That’s how you’re able to play only if you have enough money. My biggest issue and problem; However, the game is completely rigged as far as the questions you answer... I know this for a fact because I purposely did not answer any Shakespeare questions so every single time I started to play the game Shakespeare questions appeared. After you have put in money all of a sudden you get categories that the game realizes you are not adept to answer as proficiently as you are others so, consequently you’re fighting a losing battle because it particularly picks the Categories, and sets you up for failure knowing that you were not well suited for the (certain categories you’re not proficient) those are the only categories it gives you! That becomes extremely frustrating! Don’t waste your money, and just play for fun… Do not buy anything it’s just a set up and you will then find yourself with categories consistently that you are Not well-versed in, and then becomes frustrating to no end!!
I don’t understand
by Billyjoeee on 2018/02/23 10:45
I’ve won a good amount of times, and sometimes I win by a lot. But I’ve never gotten any more than 3k when I win. Which is ridiculous considering I’m spending 5k-10k to play a round. How does that make any sense and how does this game have good reviews? Supposedly you can win up to 40k on one and 80k on the second one I unlocked. But i can’t even make enough back to play another round when I do win. What a waste of time. And I’m assuming it’s possible I’m not making very much because even though I’ve won I have a “low amount of points still” but I should atleast have enough to play again. Seems like you win and get no reward. I’m also not the only one with this problem, my boyfriend mentioned it as well and we enjoyed playing against each other but at the end of the day it’s not worth it and there’s tons of other games that we can play against each other and actually play the actual game as well. Obviously the game isn’t terrible, and it probably doesn’t deserve only one star, I enjoyed it while it lasted, but I don’t see why I would keep this downloaded if I can’t even play most of the time even when I'm winning. Hopefully they’ll get a better payout system for people who do win, whether they have a lot of points or not. Because I don’t want to wait around forever to get free cash just to win and not be able to play again until I can get more free cash.
Fun at first....
by BSquadHC on 2018/09/05 20:50
For a while this game is super fun and contains really good trivia. As expected, it gets more difficult as you progress, but eventually it seems like the results are fixed. For example, after you reach level 30+, the final clue in double jeopardy is rigged to beat you. Whether you answer it correctly or not and regardless of how difficult the clue is as well as how well the other contestants are doing, whichever contestant, other than you, is in first or second, they will answer correctly and the 2 x points power up (usually worth 2400) will be added. For example, you are in 2nd with 3,000 points and answer a 1200 point clue correctly giving you 4,200. The player in first will have 4,000 points and automatically get a 1200 point clue right with the 2 x point power up giving them 2400 and an overall score of 6400. It’s hard for me to believe these players always get the last clue right, it’s always worth 1200 and they always have a 2 x point booster. It’s super frustrating and makes it hard to win especially when you play well and think you’ll have a lead going into final jeopardy then all of sudden you’re in the hole 2000 points. I’m at level 38 and if this contains I will delete this bogus game. Fix it, you’re cheating!
Rigged, greedy, monotonous
by taffffffffff on 2018/01/21 06:15
Even if you get every question right and both daily doubles, and double all your money with a correct final Jeopardy answer, you can (and most often will) lose. The game is rigged against you so that not only will you have to pay to win, but you will eventually have to pay just to play. When you first start playing, you are given lots of double point bonuses - which are almost always necessary for winning the game, especially as you progress. As you play more, however, you hardly ever find double-point bonuses and subsequently it becomes impossible to beat the other "players" which are really just computer bots. And here's where the greed of the developers shines through: playing requires in-game "cash", and you only get cash by winning games. Want to win? You need to use gold bars to get double-point bonuses. How do you get gold bars? Using real money. As you progress, the computer bots you're playing against will almost never get a wrong answer. And they will ALWAYS get the daily double later in the game, whereas you will almost always get the daily double on the first or second question. And they will ALWAYS have double-point bonus as well. Essentially, you have to pay to play this "free" game. If the developers were just less openly greedy it could actually be enjoyable for more than five minutes.
Disappointing algorithm
by Joyfulworship on 2018/05/16 00:56
This game has so much potential and I started playing it to keep my mind sharp. But it is clear you aren’t playing with “real” people- you can zero out but no one you are “paired with” ever does, as they would in real life. Their algorithm is frustrating because sometimes the game seems relatively easy or a good blend of easy and challenging and other times it is ridiculously hard for dozens of games in a row with no let up. There are occasionally duplicate clues which I don’t mind as I feel like I am learning something. But the game feels engineered to make you purchase extra cash to play. I would rather pay for the game outright as I know the developer needs to make money. But I can’t stand games that try to force you to complete in app purchases just to continue playing. As mentioned in other reviews it is incredibly lame that you can sometimes earn less with a win than you “paid” to play that round. And lower cheaper rounds are no easier than more expensive ones, again leaving you with no choice but to log in every four hours to accrue funds to play or pay for them (which I won’t do). Different levels become increasingly expensive to play but the bank takes forever to dole out the next level of “cash” again requiring you to log in without playing for days to accrue enough to play.
Has some issues
by DoctrDonna on 2018/04/02 00:34
I really thought I was going to love this game. I love Jeapordy and I love trivia games and this had potential to be great but it has too many issues to be a good, playable game. I can deal with the fact that a lot of the categories and clues are things that no one would ever know..that’s not even the problem. The problem is the money part of the game. You have to pay to play every game, and when you win, you don’t even win your money back for paying into the game. In fact, you don’t even win the full amount of what you earn. And you only get money if you are the winner, so lose a couple of rounds and your pretty much done. For example, I just came on to play and I had 7.8 thousand dollars. I played two rounds costing me 5,000 a piece. I won both rounds. Each round I won around 5,000. And yet, after the second win, I only had 4.8 thousand in my bank. It doesn’t make any sense at all. After two wins I literally didn’t even have enough money to play a third round, and I would have at least had that if they gave me all my earnings, but after winning 5,000, they only added 3.2 to my bank. I get that they want you to spend money by buying more money, but that’s kind of ridiculous and unfair. Probably won’t continue playing this game because of it.
This Developer Knows How to Frustrate Users and Drive Them Away
by charpercpa on 2019/04/16 10:45
I have allowed myself to be strung along by this unusually cumbersome platform under the hope that I could eventually get to the level where my cash award would increase from $3.9M every three hours to $7.68M every three hours. I have faithfully answered the trivia questions and collected meager gems over the past months (dare I say nearly a year) and was so close to completing my two weakest categories (it takes a loooooooooong time to earn gems in this game). I had been planning to quit the game when I doubled my coin bank because I can only guess what insurmountable challenge awaited a mere mortal beyond that point. The developer forced me out early. Their latest update allows me to earn $765,000 every 15 hours. So I went from $3,900,000 every three hours to $765,000 every 15 hours. That’s right! This is not a typographical error. They randomly made a hugely regressive app update. That is what I have come to expect from this app. It is almost like they play drinking games to brainstorm for update ideas (good, bad, inane or otherwise). It really is the silliest, most random app governance I have ever seen. In fact, this is the first app that I have ever taken time to review (it is that awful). Uken/Jeopardy!, I won’t be around to see the next wacky update you concoct! Bye bye!
Feels like a casino
by Moo Goo Panda on 2018/12/13 19:38
It’s fun and I weirdly feel like I’m learning a lot but with all the constant shiny adds trying to get you to spend just a little bit more, you’re constantly reminded their primary goal is to make money off the app. Don’t get me wrong; that’s their prerogative and the game IS fun. It’s definitely doable to play and not spend much but as you progress the stakes go up, so do the points required to win-that means using modifiers(which cost gold bars- not easily accumulated without spending actual money). You pretty much can’t win without modifiers past a certain point. 🤷🏼‍♀️ If you go into it with the goal of having fun and learning rather than winning, you’re better off- but it will be slow going as the only way to win money to play with is to come in first and the only way to do that without modifiers is to play with relatively low betting amounts that won’t win you as much. My only other complaint is that you can’t add a profile picture without a social media account. I realize I’m probably in the minority here, but I got rid of Facebook in so much as you can get rid of Facebook years ago but I’d still like to be able to add a profile picture to my jeopardy account.
Addictive & fun, also infuriating 😬
by Allysen on 2018/05/12 19:02
Jeopardy World Tour is first of all incredibly addictive, a fun game with new challenges each week if you want that cute new stamp, frame or background. I stayed up Way too late playing to get the Spring flowers ensemble ! Meeting your daily bank challenge of 100 gold bars will buy you extra spins on the Daily Play wheel, and if you meet the challenge all week you get an additional 500 bars. I would never , ever in a million years spend Real Money in this game. If you have a general knowledge of trivia & keep to your go-to categories you can win & level up. That Said : eventually you will level up to a City that your gem bank won’t cover & you will have to make up those missing gems in your Achilles heel area. Wish I knew more about history & geography for sure. Not the worst part of this game however. The real reason I give it 3 stars instead of 5, is that you can run All your categories, a correct answer every time on the highest levels, then bet the whole thing in Final Jeopardy , get it right and Still Lose, to a Bot , that “got” a daily double . It’s total bs, & unfair. I will keep playing tho because I want that Mothers Day ensemble. But I will be fuming inside.
Used to be better
by jeoparty on 2018/07/26 00:48
When the app first came out and I saw it advertised, I was excited to try it out and LOVED it! It was similar to traditional TV Jeopardy. However, there have been so many updates and changes to the app (particularly this past year) that it gradually became less like the traditional game, less user-friendly, and more complicated than it used to be. I notice some occasional glitches as well (i.e. my app freezes quite a bit, just randomly exits mid-game for no reason sometimes, doesn’t save game progress at times). It also costs a lot to play for long periods of time, especially when you’re playing to compete and win a tournament. I notice I spend more of my own personal money purchasing gold bars for my Jeopardy app than I pay for extras in all of my other gaming apps put together! Overall, it’s fun to play once in a while when I’m in the mood. I wish the quality and layout of the game was the same as it was when the app was new. The brain trusts, sale pop-ups, new weekly and daily goals changing all of the time, and the FB pop-ups get annoying and take away from the original creativity of this app. Sometimes simple is better.
Not designed to keep you playing
by Griot Guru on 2018/12/27 17:55
UPDATED REVIEW: I like this game even less after receiving a response from the Developer about my review below. This was the response about my comment that you pay more to play than you win back: “Your in-game winnings are based on your score - aim for around ~5-6,000 points during a game in order to "break even" in most rooms! The higher the room, the easier it is to walk away with winnings equal to or greater than your entry fee.” That just poor game design in my book. If I win the game, I shouldn’t lose money. I’m deleting this game from my phone and playing something that’s designed to keep me engaged. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I like the questions and the pace... but there’s WAY too much happening in the pre-game screens. I think it’s all designed to make you buy stuff, but it’s over stimulating and confusing. And you pay more to play than you win back, so I often don’t have enough to play again. Which means I don’t play this game as often as I would want. The developers should take their money from advertisers instead of players. I don’t mind that I’m not playing real people, but I think the computer-players should be more like real players and not always make it to final jeopardy.

Fun but rigged
by Nixinvegas on 2018/06/22 17:20
I love this game and I enjoy playing it. I would have given this game a higher rating if it weren’t for two things. First, you must wait to play til you win more money or Buy more which is frustrating. It wouldn’t be so annoying if it weren’t for the the second thing which I REALLY have a problem with. You are always playing the computer, and the computer often gets more than one double jeopardy in single round. You as a player do not. That gives them an unfair advantage over you. Sooooo frustrating. This became very apparent to me during their latest tournament (event) “songs in the sun”. (Think rock and roll jeopardy). You can get every single question right, bet your full amount during your double jeopardy’s, and have a couple of double points bonuses and still loose because the computer you are playing gets a second or third double jeopardy before your final jeopardy. It’s the RIDICULOUSLY frustrating! Please fix this. If I, the player only gets one double jeopardy per round, so should the computer
Lures are boring and disengaging
by Garlory on 2019/04/05 15:13
While I love Jeopardy and am a trivia nerd, this game just has too many quirks to keep me engaged. It’s quirky that the other ‘players’ aren’t real. It’s overly apparent that the game is made so that you buy to play. If you don’t buy, it’s hard to keep going because the computer players will beat you, and your bank is quickly depleted. You’re very carefully watching your own progress so you don’t notice how the other ‘players’ are doing, but if you do, you quickly realize the scoring is strange. The home screen is muddied with way too many extra games and things which, again, are made to deplete your bank so that you make a purchase. Leveling up takes forever which ends up being boring and uninteresting. You barely make any progress and barely make enough stars to reach the next level. This was not fun and did nothing to motivate me or excite me. It was simply boring to stay for so long at the same place even though I was winning most of the time. Now that I’ve been playing for about 1-1/2 years and have seen how this game works, the only reason I ever play now is simply because I like to answer trivia questions. The rest of it is disappointing.
Rigged
by mpapa24 on 2019/01/21 15:53
So after seeing a lot of post on the same subject I started to keep track of, not only how many games I lose but how my opponents are winning. I’ve lost 10 games in a row by the exact same score, not point differential but the “person” who wins has the exact same score every time. In single jeopardy they always get the daily double on their third question and use a 2x points power up usually on their fourth and always on their fifth question. In double jeopardy they usually get the double jeopardy on their second question and use a 2x points power up at least twice at some point. I however get no 2x point power ups without wasting somewhere in the range of 120 to 200 gold, and I’ve “randomly” found the double jeopardy in single jeopardy on my first question and I didn’t see a double jeopardy in double jeopardy in any of my last 10 games. This is a really fun game and I love the different regions and the country specific questions, but if you don’t spend real money on gold it’s nearly impossible to beat the real people who do and the bots who know exactly where the double jeopardys are and have 4 2x point power ups. The winner of this game isn’t who gets the most questions right it’s the “person” who has the most gold.
Disingenuous in-app store design
by Sourdough Lady on 2018/07/06 03:25
I recently went to the Jeopardy power-up store to see what I had to purchase in order to get rid of the same minute-long ads that play TWICE in each game. What I found was that the developer has established a way to do that, which is promoted immediately as I enter the store. However, there are two different commodities the user must coordinate: VIP levels which are somehow generated by making in-app purchases. The in-app purchases are assigned various quantities of points, but it’s impossible to know how many points are required to achieve the VIP level that allows ad-free play. When I inquired about this, I received prompt response: a non-answer that said as much as I’ve written in this review. When I asked again, I received the same ambiguous response. When I pressed further, support admitted that there is a formula, but they do not disclose that information to users: only the development team has that information. This sort of policy is the stuff class action lawsuits are made of. It is slightly deceptive and predatory. Given the experience I’ve had with the store, the game has lost a lot of credibility. Players beware!
Disappointing
by Loveydaboyz on 2019/05/17 16:43
I love Jeopardy but I find this app incredibly frustrating. The categories can be really wack (like getting both Wine and Wines in one round or categories that are so obscure most people won’t know any of the answers,) and I hate the fact that you are now getting less money throughout the day with the continuous bank notes. I used to be able to accumulate over 1.4million just by waiting four hours and clicking on the bank, but now I’m not accumulating any where near as much money which means I’m playing the game less. If you want people to play the game more make it more user friendly. Overall I’d like more varied categories, more opportunities to accumulate money without having to pay for it and fewer “trick” questions. Finally, the developers really need to check themselves. Before writing this second review I read many of the other reviews for the game and found it interesting that the developers’ responses were almost always the same: let us know what we can do to improve,” but clearly they’re not making any efforts to improve the game as everyone has basically the same complaints but nothing has changed for the better. Come on UKEN!
4/15 update - app changes
by Girl Playa on 2019/04/16 09:14
After a placing Jeopardy for over a year and building my four hour earnings to $1.3 million every cycle, the app was changed yesterday. The level that I am on costs $2.55 million per game. When I first started playing the game, I invested into the app paying $$ into it at least a few times to build a bank of gold bars to survive and grow. It look a lot of hours to amass the bank balance I have and get to the level I am on. All in one update, I feel strongly that Uken games pulled the rug from the time and money I invested into the app. Other than complete greed, why would Uken replace a paying customer’s earning per cycle from $1.3 million every four hours to what is now $175k after approx 18-hours—especially if the games on our level cost $2.55 million? This update makes zero sense and is truly outrageous. What exact amount would I need to invest in the app to generate $1.3 million every four hours versus the $175k every 18-hours that you have transitioned me to? Is this intentional? I love Jeopardy and am so angry that you decided this was a good idea. You coukd have gone another route to encourage spend from users. This is just upsetting and off-putting.
Love it!

Fun, but could be improved!
by SharkRabbitWolfPup on 2019/05/23 01:29
This game is very fun and I’m definitely hooked. However, there are a few things that are frustrating about the game play. First of all, it is way too hard to accumulate enough money to play more than one or two rounds at a time. I have to wait hours to accumulate enough money to enter a round in the lowest level (Los Angeles). I’ve never had enough money to enter any of the special challenge rounds...and I’ve played a lot! I think it should be a little bit easier to earn cash without having to make an in-app purchase - so much of the game is limited by this factor. I also think there’s just too much going on in the app. It could be simplified a bit, I have been playing for awhile now and still don’t know what half of the random challenge games are. Keep it simple! The game itself is very fun and addicting. I think the scoring could be improved by just playing for money instead of points. Again, the simpler the game play the better to me. Overall a good, fun game but has some areas of improvement for sure!
Game reverses purchases and steals points back etc 😡
by Dblms on 2018/12/10 09:05
This app can be fun but when you pay money, it often has glitches from my experiences. I have had purchases reversed (but no money credited - had to contact the developer to fix). It has also reversed other types of in app purchases as well as points reversed and not restored. This always seems to happen after I have actually paid money to the app. Very unimpressive, frustrating and unprofessional. When I previously contacted the company/developer for assistance, the customer service was equally unimpressive. They gave me the impression that I was a nuisance for contacting them and restoring my purchase was doing me a favor - going out of their way...well, FYI , to not honor the purchase would be fraud. I may contact the BBB even though I have not spent a lot of money thankfully but that is frankly irrelevant. Will probably discontinue this game due to these problems. Buyer Beware! (Before paying money) as many apps do, they offer specials to entice players to make an in app purchase...think twice or ten times before you do it. You may be in for a big hassle like I have - more than once. Ridiculous. Very disappointing.
It’s an App and is created to make money....
by mairejain on 2018/07/22 10:36
Once you get that thought through your head, then you will understand why you have to ‘earn’ cash in order to play. Either you earn it or you pay for it. I have not gotten any double questions. But, I’ve gotten the same categories, when I play in the same place. Once you figure out how to work the bonuses (i.e., Point Doubler), it’s rather easy to beat the house (the concept is NOT that the house gets multiple Double Jeopardy questions, but that it gets and uses those bonuses). There are a few ways to earn cash, so just stick with the App for a while and figure it out. It’s clever and never freezes up. It's entertaining and has some great trivia. have no complaints about this App. Don’t listen to negative reviews. Those individuals may be frustrated because they don’t understand all the facets of the App—or, possibly , because they just keep losing.
Needs improvement!
by EricaBee on 2018/06/09 02:16
The point structure for cost of games & payouts is absurd, needs to be based on how the real game works. Also, not a fan of how answers are formatted with 3 options to choose from. Please let me come up with the answer from “scratch”, like the real game. I understand that from a programming perspective it’s easier to provide the player with options to choose from, however, this takes away the challenge for true Jeopardy fans! There needs to be another option to VIP status other than purchasing, like being rewarded based on number of games played, or number of correct answers to questions. There should be a way to post your player image directly from the app instead of via Facebook or Apple Game Center. I linked in through Apple Game Center & they no longer have the option to upload picture, & I have no desire to link my Facebook to any games I play. I can do without the statistical tracking that occurs when you link to Facebook. Hopeful that this will be a great app one day!
Hope the creators read this! ❤️❤️❤️

My parents are elderly. Dad is 81, Mom will be 80 in September. Me and my 2 sisters (and random other family members depending on the time/day) visit my parents every Sunday. We have lunch and then we clean up and do whatever. Then my Dad sits down in his chair and says, “Okay, I’m ready”. I cannot tell you how long we’ve been playing this game. Regardless, this game has been a Godsend!!!! First and foremost it stimulates and re-engages my parents’ brains and thought processes. They forget a lot more of day-to-day things, but I swear, this “game”? God sent! They are so smart, makes us kids (ages +50) look like dummies! There have been a few wrong things with the answers and spelling within the game, but I tell you, as much as my folks look forward to Sunday visits, they REALLY look forward to playing this game. (I couldn’t go a couple of weeks ago and they told my sisters to be sure t bring their iPads so they could play without me.) Lastly, this game has brought family together! Even when the grands and great grands visit, we still play Jeopardy (if they don’t want to play, they are excused from the room....seriously!) Thank you to whomever created this game. You have NO idea what a positive impact this has had on my parents lives and the lives of our whole family. It has truly become a weekly ritual. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Its Groundhog Day!

This could be a good game IF it was patterned more like the game show. However, this online version is nothing but a vehicle for trying to get you to spend your money. After playing for a few months, you keep getting the same categories over and over (AND OVER!) again in Double Jeopardy and Final Jeopardy. I’ve had it up to my eyeballs with Opera, Shakespeare, Religion, Ballet and Architecture!! When playing against the computer players, what chance does ANYONE have with subjects like those? 19 consecutive days of this crap, and counting! What’s next? Are we going to have to know the 284th word in Dickens’ A Christmas Carol? Or the name of every signer of the Declaration of Independence? How about changing these categories MUCH more frequently like the TV version? You say that you need to make the game more challenging the longer that we play. For what purpose? Why the need to do that? We don’t play this game to get a PhD. It’s supposed to be fun and challenging, but not ridiculously so! After reading the Developer’s response, I’m reminded of Dewey Burnone’s adage...”Those who paint themselves as brilliant, often reveal an empty canvas.”
Never fixes the issues
by Dj4956 on 2018/05/05 16:01
This game was fun in the beginning but after you play awhile you don’t play against real people anymore and it becomes impossible to win. I have tried reaching out to support and they have no answers or they say it is “my connection” which is just not true. I have had the app awhile and play in all the same places I always have but suddenly I no longer play anyone real which was the best part. They don’t make any attempt to solve the problem and based on reading other reviews I’m not the only one experiencing this. The game is fun when you have a chance, but you don’t after awhile. They say”get in touch with support if you have a problem” and yet they don’t solve the problem. It’s just generic reply to your complaint with no care of how it effects your game. And to prove my point we deleted the app on my sons phone and redownloaded it in the same “service area” they say isn’t good enough and miraculously we were playing real people again, I call bull on this app. No fun anymore but what do they have to care, it’s a free app.
Fun but frustrating
by Mobethkim1 on 2017/10/27 11:47
The game itself is a real challenge. There is a wide variety of categories that really test your grasp of trivia, from sports to geography to entertainment and more. The game is incredibly user friendly and easy to play. The more you play, the greater the rewards. The frustrating part of the game is that knowledge alone is not enough to win. You are only allowed to answer half of the questions per round, giving you a 50/50 chance of hitting a daily double. If you have not amassed at least $5000 when (or if) you hit the daily double, you can’t win as the players you are competing against ALWAYS get a daily double late in the game. You can answer every question correctly and still have no chance. The game would be better and more fair if the daily doubles were truly random for all opponents. The game is a lot of fun, but expect wins to be few and far between no matter how well you know your trivia.
Used to Love It
by Punky Doodle Krissy on 2019/04/15 23:46
I have no idea how to update my original review where I gave it four stars, back when my only gripe was that we got no money for playing and winning against friends or winning nothing for coming in second or third place in the World Tour. But it was still enjoyable to play, at least, and not a freaking chore. This latest update where the bank regenerates a TINY amount of money in 24 hours instead of the $1.3 million every 4 hours is an insult to me and I can only imagine to people who are at even higher levels than I am. What were you guys thinking? Not all of us can afford to pay for your stupid gold bars so having that income every 4 hours to play your game was crucial. Now people will have to collect money for WEEKS just to play one game. It was already hard enough getting the gems to get to the next tier and this just makes it 1000x harder. So now you are going to lose a lot of players and for what? What a ridiculous update. Please fix this and PLEASE bring back the daily bonus. You are alienating loyal players for no good reason. We cannot enjoy this game as it stands.
Would be really great but too much down time
by TornadoHawk on 2018/03/26 12:49
Jeopardy is challenging with lots of different questions in a wide range of categories. I didn’t have any repeat questions until at least level 30 and still not that many. Too me the whole round the world thing doesn’t add much than if it were just Jeopardy but I guess it gives some goals that wouldn’t be there otherwise. The only thing that keeps me from playing more often is there is too much lag time. Everything but the actual playing time should be shortened or even eliminated. From assigning the participants, spinning the wheel for the power ups to the extra screens after the game is over all take up way too much time that it is frustrating if you want to play multiple games in a row. I know the ads have to be in there for the company to make money but then you add all this stuff trying to be fancy and the whole thing becomes tedious. Cut back on all the extras and focus on the actual playing time!
Could be better
by Sïle on 2019/10/01 01:09
Well this is my 2nd review. Game has improved in that you no longer have to pay to play! Play the game right and your high scores earn you higher levels. Another reviewer said the contestants are not real but computer generated. Is that true? If so, then where do all the profile pictures come from. Does anyone know correct answer on that. Greater variety of categories now too. I like to see how smart I am by playing this. Prayers for Alec Trebeck. 1st review - Not as interesting as the real show. Expected that but the categories are weird too. Great if you’re Canadian like Alec. Lots of Canadian history, rules, songs, cities. Australia too. I’m playing but having to pay is ridiculous - I dont have to pay to play Scrabble or Words with Friends. It’s not that interesting either to pay for. Ridiculous that you’ve made this a pay for coins app.
Addicting
by Karen Peters on 2018/06/23 15:19
Following up on my previous comment, I continue to play regularly, despite the flaws and the fact that the game is designed to separate players from their cash. But, I’m particularly sad with the latest changes made to the daily and weekly goals, which once challenging in a fun way, are nearly impossible to complete. Also, I always enjoyed the high stakes special play, but all of a sudden I see that even if you finish with a decent score (25,000 points) you can’t even win back the amount it cost to play! What’s up with that!! Shame on you for taking all the fun out of the high stakes games. How I wish you would address these flaws and make this game something outstanding and worthy of its namesake. While you’re at it, you really need to make the odds better for comeback wins in Final Jeopardy. There certainly is no drama there if you go into Final behind...
Ton of Potential but ...
by Litchic2577 on 2018/06/26 07:25
I really don’t like how quick the game is. Only five questions in the Jeopardy and Double Jeopardy round so it’s really hard to recover from a bad answer or two. Then there’s the fact that you have to pay (game cash, that is) to play each game, but one can win the game and still not make a profit. So, the player eventually runs out of game cash and either has to pay real money or wait to build up enough to play again. I’ve paid $10. I won’t buy back in when this is gone unless the app changes. Jeopardy is an amazing game and I’ve been watching since I was seven years old (the year it came back on the air in 1984. Everyone in my family had to shut up 7:30 every weekday. lol So, I’m disappointed that this particular app sort of makes this game of knowledge more like a casino game: the house always wins. I would love to see something closer to the show I love so much.
Money grabbing game
by SteelerLoboPirate on 2017/09/06 19:01
I see how this game works. They want you win as much money as possible. Let's say for final Jeopardy you're too far ahead you can't be caught usually (on the TV show) you could risk some but you're going to win. WRONG (at least for the money) it is better to risk everything Because this game is not whether you win or lose. IT'S ABOUT HOW MUCH MONEY YOU CAN EARN (sounds a lot different from our beloved show). So you want big payouts then make as much money as you can!!! MAIN PROBLEM: I just won a game and got 2.23K out of it, but it cost 5K to enter and play that game. You will lose and have no money eventually!!! Don't play! No matter what you will run out of money. You have to use money to play a game. The game is super fun and be worth it if I could buy it outright for $4 bucks. Don't waste time on this. Highly disappointed Jeopardy. And they took down the original Jeopardy game-really grinds my gears ~~~Yeah one thing developer make it $4 to buy the entire game~~~ oh I thought it was like real Jeopardy! where the objective was to have the most money and not try to go for all the money. My bad
Too busy, can’t play all the time
by Theangel006 on 2019/06/25 14:43
Ups and downs- on the plus side, questions are very much like the game show and can be challenging. I find the content and variety engaging and will continue to play. However, this is a VERY busy (cluttered) app that has a multitude of hidden challenges and disparate goals. It is also difficult to win games if you don’t receive random power-up devices or hit the Daily Double at the appropriate times. If you happen to lose enough “money” you may not even be able to play a game for 24 hours. Two suggestions to help alleviate both the randomness of boosts and the inability to play: 1) have an entry level game that requires no “money” to play & 2) set up the boards with 5 money levels deep per column like the game show ( this should introduce more strategy, and lessen the impact of random 2x bonuses and Daily Doubles) . In return, Please, please de-clutter this App! Overall 3 stars - 5 stars worth on the questions but detract 2 for the formatting.
Fun!
by nicjoca on 2018/05/11 22:26
I have been enjoying the game so far. There are definitely frustrating points, like not winning back enough money that you put in to play, as mentioned by others. But you can bank money every 4 hours even if you don’t play the game, so technically it’s difficult to truly run out of money. The ads can be a little long when you are forced to watch in between rounds, but that’s what keeps it free to play. I’m not really sure how they go about matching you up with other contestants...because I realized early on that if I have to put the game down for a few minutes, it picks up right where I left off. I am guessing that they use previous saved versions of the same game OR it’s just playing against the computer. But that doesn’t bother me personally...as I have 3 kids and a puppy, so I’m constantly interrupted. If you’re looking for a trivia game to pass the time, give it a try.
Fun Game
by Yvekin on 2017/09/04 04:06
I just have a few criticisms about this game. 1. 2nd place finishes should still win something. It could be a set amount or say half of their score. It's ridiculous that you can be $100 away from 1st place and get nothing!! 2. I'm totally against people being allowed to play as Anonymous. It's creepy and you have no way of knowing if you're competing against a BOT! 3. When you make it to the next level your fee shouldn't DOUBLE! Let it be raised by $25,000 or $50,000. 4. The tournaments have outrageous entry fees. These fees should be lowered. #1st turn could be $100,000 2nd turn could be $200,000 etc. 5. People who play every day should get some type of monetary reward or say 100 or gold bars. They should also be able to play at least one tournament game for free per day while tournaments are going on. 6. I do like the game, but sometimes find the fact that I have to stop playing due to no money quite annoying especially since I am a DECENT player. 7. Reward loyalty and EXPERTISE! NO BOTS! 8. Try to change topics and questions more frequently. 9. Create a question forum so if something with the game is not clear you can speak with someone. 10. Don't nickel & dime people to death. Let people pay an annual or semi-annual fee to play the game allowing them 300 gold bars a week. Anything more than that they could purchase.
No stars...terrible changes to app
by asarper on 2019/08/06 15:48
I bought a new iPhone and lost about 50k worth of $$ when I migrated my old iPhone to my new one. The developers of this app will do nothing about returning my $$. They say I had to have it signed in through Facebook in order to keep current status when switching phones!!! ALL of my info on my old phone migrated over to my new phone without problem! To me, that means there is a problem with this Jeopardy app! So having to start all over, seems like they have made changes to this app. It’s very hard to gain $ to continue playing. You have to wait days while you accumulate enough $ play. You used to be able to gain free $ and gold bars each day with a in-app spin board. Now, you have to play a game first, in order to spin the board. Also, what happened to Double Jeopardy?!?!? Starting over, all I get is the first Jeopardy part, then it goes directly to Final Jeopardy. The in app slot game is also locked on 3 of the slots now without having to pay a lot. I’m going to move on and delete this app. Not worth the time any more!
New Version is a downgrade
by RHPJR70 on 2019/04/16 18:00
Are used to love playing Jeopardy. But their latest ‘update’ was really a downgrade in the game. A big part of the game is to collect gems to upgrade your bank, and it often takes months and months of playing the game to collect enough gems to get the next level bank. This is important because as you gain new cities it becomes extraordinarily expensive to play. This was offset somewhat by having a decent bank that generated funds every four hours, enough funds to actually play the game. For example the level of bank I had would generate 2 1/2 million dollars every four hours, but with their new update it’ll take me over a day to generate it those same amount of funds. In other words their update will force me to use real money to buy enough game money just to play their game, and that’s not going to happen. Good luck keeping players. My advice to anyone reading this is to keep searching for other trivia games. There are plenty out there that don’t force you to spend real money just to simply play the game.
I want to love the game, but...
by seekimfly on 2018/01/30 15:07
I love watching Jeopardy and was excited to play the game. Since I started playing about a week ago, I’ve become disenchanted and frustrated. Unlike the real game, you can come in second place and yet all your cash disappears. You can win the game, and end up with less cash them what you paid to play. It seems like it’s designed for you to have to pay to play. Well I understand that most apps have features so you can get EXTRA gems or cash or points or whatever the in-game currency is, it’s frustrating when it seems like there’s no real way to play without making a purchase. it has started to become stressful, thinking that if I don’t win, I’ll have wasted the cash that it took to enter the game. Once again become stressful, I wonder what’s the point? I think the developers could tweak a few things to make it a much more enjoyable game for those of us who love jeopardy and yet are not the greatest trivia. I guess I’ll play a bit longer and see what happens.
Great game & wonderful customer service
by notalilgirl on 2018/02/14 05:03
I really enjoy this game! I recently experienced a glitch which caused me to lose 20k. I contacted the development team through the “contact us” messaging service. They were very speedy in their response. They asked me a few questions to clarify what happened during the glitch. Once I had answered their questions, THEY REIMBURSED MY ACCOUNT with the 20k I lost!! That is so amazing. I wasn’t even contacting them with hopes to get reimbursed. They really went the extra mile to be sure I was satisfied. This is actually one of the only reviews I’ve ever left for a game app. I was just so surprised that they 1- responded about my issue, and 2- reimbursed me! I think it’s awesome they have such a good customer service team for an app that was free to download. I will definitely continue to play this game and recommend it to my friends.
Official jeopardy
by Yhagsgbdsp on 2018/05/02 06:15
This may be the worst app I have ever downloaded. They claim you are playing against other people which is demonstrably false. For example, in the hundreds of games I have played, the person leading (if not me) has never missed a final jeopardy question (I mean NEVER) which is statistically impossible. 9 out of 10 times, the leading opponent hits the daily double on its last question. Also statistically impossible. The final straw was when the app started learning which categories I was not as good at and began to populate the topics with those categories on an overwhelming level—to the point where multiple resets of the topics would stay in the same topic areas. The game is a complete fraud and I warn you not to get involved with it. I have always in the past just deleted apps I don’t like. I have never written a review (positive or negative) before. This is my first. However I felt it was my duty to warn people of the fraud being perpetrated by the makers of this app. If the people behind the TV show are licensing this app, and I assume they are, then shame on them.
Good game but a few things
by Gamman21 on 2018/04/18 21:42
I absolutely love trivia and watch the show regularly with my wife so you can say I’m a big fan. I believe the questions are challenging and generally like the premise of the game. I do think that this game falls short of what it should and could be however. Now that I have been playing for several months I find the matchup algorithm unfair and frustrating. If you are a good player you play against people who happened to have the game of their lives and get the daily doubles on the last clues in each round. What this all adds up to is you play a perfect game 10-15 time consecutively and still cannot win. Once you win a bunch of money you get put into a bin where all you draw is scored that are impossible to beat until you lose about double what you just won. There are some great daily games and I enjoy the variety of categories. The problems with the matchup algorithm are too hard to overcome however. I have to quit as I no longer enjoy playing.
Winning daily objectives
by lacboy95 on 2019/07/23 11:25
When playing games to win awards for daily objectives, previous games should also be accounted in the new objective. For instance, if I win the award for winning a certain amount of gems then the respin objective is for 200 correct responses, it should take in account the responses that I had from previous games. If not then I would have to play a minimum of 20 games and respond correctly to all question just to win the objective which is highly unlikely. I know there are multiple objectives to play for, but most require many games to complete. This would be like playing the game all day practically nonstop. Yes it does give the option to respin for different objectives, but that cost coins which come at a slow rate unless you pay for extra. I've played the game for over a year and a half, heavily at first, but now only sparingly. Too much work to make any real progress at a reasonable amount of time.
Don’t buy, just play
by prairie rust on 2018/08/14 00:59
I played the game all winter and started to buy the gold bars so I could advance- and I did. In the spring they had a game called “Rock and Roll” something that, for me at least, was very easy. One evening I won 11 million “Jeopardy” dollars and suddenly the app shut down. When I returned that win was not added to my bank. I took screenshots and documented it (mind you, I had spent actual cash to play this game) and sent the information to the support center. They told me they could not account for every player- that there were too many. I pointed out that I had spent money on the game and that not rewarding a win amounted to actual theft. They then sent an automated message asking if the matter had been resolved. I said yes because they clearly had no interest in figuring it out and I continue to play occasionally without paying for anything more because it’s a good mind excercise and diversion. Don’t authorize a credit card ever- even if you love it. Just play
Fun game, but you'll never get anywhere
by PixieBelle117 on 2017/11/18 21:12
I love Jeopardy and I'm a trivia nerd, but the cost to play the levels compared to what you win is just frustrating. You'll almost always pay more to play than you'll win, and even if you get 2nd place, you get nothing. And yes, it feels rigged playing against others - they get point doublers that they use at the last minute to overcome you. A lot of repeat categories that get old. You win nothing when playing against friends. The hearts to play against friends replenish very infrequently. It's not a game you'll want to keep playing. If they set it up like the TV show, it would be better. More categories to choose from, more than 5 clues a round, and even small prizes for 2nd place would make it more fun. The gems aspect is ridiculous too - I've won gems and they didn't get added to my totals a few times, and you need those to get paid more. Each new round doubles in cost and the tournaments cost a ton - yet you get nothing unless you're in the top three. Very little reward for the effort.
No
by Eddiebee193 on 2017/11/18 12:11
Typical experience: I go for all three top-tier questions and two second-tier questions, both rounds. BOTH of my opponents find Daily Doubles, and I don't. So, I usually take the hardest questions, get them all right, and lose. Also, if I DO find a Daily Double- if it's on the first question, you only get the value of the question. There's no doubling anywhere. Also, sometimes there's a bonus giveaway where you collect baseballs or something for extra gold. The other day it was something for Veterans, and I kept earning them and they kept disappearing when I tried cashing them in. Hundreds of thousands of them, earned but not counted. Great. Overall, you know that if you get just one question wrong you're utopia lose. And the categories are somewhat rigged unless you have gold. Those in-game power ups are definitely rigged- who needs "more time"? But that's what keeps coming up when you have no money to spend on gold. I'm a huge Jeopardy fan, and this game is a huge disappointment. Ok, just came back to add this on- I got a 2x boost. I played it. It did not double my score for my correct answer, it just disappeared. So, even when you do offer something other than a "more time" option, it doesn't work. Great. All in all, that's it. Your game doesn't work properly, and no one cares to fix it. I just played a game, picked all top-tier questions, got every one right, played a double score on a $1200 question that didn't work, lost by over $300. I never had a chance.

Just a thought.

by J.W.Ver on 2019/12/11 02:59
I like the game. I wished that you could win more money. The reward amount isn’t worth the amount to spend just to play
Quite Fun

This app is not accessible

This app would be great if I could use it. Please make it accessible.
Alex good luck
by papertyga on 2019/12/08 21:01
Uken or apple deleted review again, this game is a pure scam, that steals money from old ladies pensions and fans of the show.

The Bible. Sports. Geography.

Not impressed
by swtemtgrl2000 on 2019/12/05 00:45
I love the concept but not the fact as everyone else has said that if you win you should be able to break even.

Needs more info🙄
by pohaka on 2019/12/04 04:10
Love the game show, enjoy the app so far but so much to learn!! Power ups? Gold bars? Lotta clutter and unclear about the rules and tips...
Ads/need for In game currency to play kill the game.
by Tsujj8789 on 2019/12/03 05:00
The actual game is really fun but when you can’t play because you don’t have in game money or when you can’t see who one final Jeopardy because you need to watch an ad the game becomes horrible. I would rather just spend a one time fee than deal with all of this crap....

This game is really challenging and it’s not easy to answer the questions in the few seconds they give you. The only problem with this game is sometimes you get questions that you have already been asked and you already know the answers. Overall this game is challenging and fun.
Problem with game
by eriecanal1 on 2019/12/01 13:42
Ok developers, back to the drawing board. Often, after watching a commercial for cash the game just stops and you don’t receive your money. Same thing happens when playing the game. Is it my phone or your issues?

by iMike60707 on 2019/12/01 04:42
I wanted this game for the trivia, and the added nostalgia of the host made it a no brainer.
Fun Game

Love it!

Its Groundhog Day!
by Nilghtshift on 2019/10/17 14:18
This could be a good game IF it was patterned more like the game show.
