Million Dollar Loan
by Iamsureru on 2019/05/27 02:06
I’m 70 and needed a million dollar loan for my business, unfortunately my fFICO score was only 220 so I used Experian to contest a few unpaid pills and my scores soared to 900 and I got the loan.

Experian App doesn’t have Experian FICO9
by Clny9 on 2019/05/23 12:17
Why an app from Experian is missing Experian’s own FICO9 score is beyond me. I’ve contacted support and it seems they have no clue either. Trying to contact support is like a journey to Mount Doom... there’s no phone number for customer service. The company phone is just a message system with no customer service, the email “support” if you can even call it that, doesn’t give answers. Thanks Experian for this terrible experience. You clearly do not care one bit about your customers.

Credit score has improved
by gp0630 on 2019/05/22 22:21
With the help of Experian I have learned a lot about building good credit and it has been very useful. My only disappointment is the the “credit booster” won’t work for me because my bank is not one of the listed banks. All of my bills are paid on this account and it would help immensely to get a good rating on it.

It asks you to update your Apple ID payment information (even though it’s “supposed “ to be FREE and then after you do all that it states that my address isn’t valid! What?!!!! ZERO STARS (it made me enter at least one star) and I’d better not see a charge on my credit card!!

Getting my credit score back on track!
by in control 74 on 2019/05/21 20:34
After many years of struggling to get to having a credit score of “Good”, it has finally happened, thanks to Experian and understanding every piece of what it takes to understanding credit scores! I’m 44, and struggled with credit since the age of 18, and after years of recovering from financial issues, coming out of bankruptcy and foreclosures, having the Experian app to dispute issues that were resolved and showing me ways to increase my credit score have been tremendously helpful! It feels good to be in control knowing that I can have a good credit score and reep the rewards that come with that in life! I was able to buy my daughter her 1st car! Knowing that I can help show her the importance of good credit scores in life made me so proud to finally be in this place in life!
Needs work
by Matthews376 on 2019/05/21 16:11
Online dispute is a joke. Dispute errors on my report but Experian claims it’s validated. Credit lock should be free especially since my credit and social was compromised due to Experian credit breach. Fix these issues and you’ll have a winner.

Protecting your credit is protecting your future
by 2txgirl on 2019/05/21 04:03
I totally enjoy having my credit monitor safely, so far my FICO is being protected and monitored. I enjoy the education on how to advance my credit, I also enjoy all the fact of improving. Although I never dream closing an account would harm your FICO score. Think twice about closing credit cards, if you do talk to Experian first, therefore your credit score will be protected. I recent received a late payment notice from Premier credit card after opening the card I reviewed a phone call, saying I had late payment, i notified Experian therefor my credit score was not reflected. Also medical bills can be duplicated and hurt your credit. Monitor your credit is epic in every way. Value your credit as it is your future.

by Yourmamaisapig on 2019/05/20 02:45
I had had this service for almost 10 years. Up until recently I have been very pleased. I use the service to ensure that my credit is accurate. I am becoming irritated that I am constantly being sent emails and notifications about credit cards that are matched to me. I don’t need more junk in my email. I pay for this service so I feel a little taken advantage of.

Need good credit NYC
by Robni 455 on 2019/05/19 20:54
I grew up in Nyc and took a ten year hiatus. When I came back the way everything is done all changed. In order to rent a studio apartment in the worst neighborhood possible, you need good credit. At first I thought it was just a few landlords being sticklers but as time went I discovered things are just done differently these days. Anyway if it wasn’t for Experian I don’t think I could have gotten my score as high as it is. If you’re serious about getting your credit right, Experian is the app for you. Sincerely, Rob Ni

Thanks Experian for creating this app, which is so easy to maneuver through. It has helped me raise my score 75 points just in the last few months. I especially like this Experian Boost feature that was launched. What a novel idea? Getting credit for paying utility bills in full and on time month after month, year after year. It’s about time!! Hopefully your actions will help nudge the other two reporting agencies to follow suit. Overall, I’m very pleased and would recommend everyone to download your app to help keep track of your scores. Job well done, Experian!!

Excellent app I look at many times a day. I begin disputing many errors on my file especially some old bills that said they weren’t paid. I did pay them and through this app I disputed 7 different things on my file. I started in December 2018 w/627 Fico score, got everything cleaned up, paid off two of four credit cards, my score is now 670(good range),and climbing. Great app!!!!

by NConthego on 2019/05/19 10:47
After my divorce I worked so hard to get my credit score established and went from 616 to 697 in less than 6 months I was able to do this by being able to monitor my score & get tips from this app!! THEN... I had an issue with a creditor and during the dispute they retaliated by reporting me to the credit bureau... I immediately saw this through this app and disputed the report. Working with the collection agency who got my account & Experian it was removed within 2 weeks! I love this app!! Thank you for allowing me to monitor my score & believing that not everything reported is factual!!

Greatest App ever
by Foremost Faithful on 2019/05/16 17:56
This is one of the best apps that I use on a monthly basis to monitor my credit. I wish it would provide the next update date that you see when you’re online. However I love the fact that it has all three credit bureau‘s. The only flaw is the other two Credit bureaus (TransUnion and Equifax), does not show the most current information. It is still showing a credit score from one year ago. Other than that, I will continue to use the Experian app as it grants the user direct access to their credit profile (including Fico score for free) which eliminates any fraudulent activity because you receive a notification each time someone pulls your credit or any changes to your credit profile (whether authorized or not).

by stealthboodle2 on 2019/03/18 04:33
I’m a 40 year old male and never really worried about credit. I guess cause of growing up with parents they were in the real-estate business and also the vp of my fathers trucking business at 18 I always paid for everything with cash or just wrote a check on the company. Well do to a one of our drivers of my dads trucking business having a horrible fatal accident in my fathers truck it caused a snow ball effect and my father not only lost hi trucking business with 4 6 axel dump trucks he also lost 7 apartment buildings my home and his and my moms. So to make a long story short I was homeless out of a job and lost. I never new much about credit and how it worked. Well over the past 4 months I been checking my credit and trying to build credit. This app has helped me tremendously along with the other 2 bureaus. I was shocked to find out the wrong info on my report also to find out that someone got cell phones cable and other items in my name. Filing a dispute is easy and being able to check my report everyday and getting the alerts is good. I got my very first credit card and my credit went from a 412 to a 617 since using this app and working with the bureaus I know it’s not that high but watching it climb gives me something to watch for. Thanks a lot for all the help. Great app
Hate new/this app
by My my my on 2018/10/15 18:00
I have used Experian’s mobile credit app for 5+ years and paying for the monthly subscription. Suddenly the app just stopped working and come to find out they put out this new one. I tried this new one and it’s awful. It’s totally redesigned and selling all kinds of new stuff. The interface is discombobulated and not simple. Only way to view the old stuff is use a browser that doesn’t work great on mobile devices. I just cancelled my subscription as I don’t want this new app and hate the browser version. I’ll be purchasing a differed credit application. I’m really bummed as I really enjoyed the previous app and sad I can no longer use it as Experian deleted it from the App Store and made it not work for those that already had it installed. I’m sure it’s not the developers faults; I’m betting it was a bunch of higher ups that chose these in app purchases all over the place over catering to a smoother transition for their long time clients. Well...good luck to those higher ups, you’ve lost me but maybe you’ll get a whole bunch of brand new clients, hopefully they are as loyal as I was and hopefully you take care of them better than you did your long time subscribers. I still love your developers as they has such an amazing app for so long and sorry they made you make so many changes that cut off my long time use of your previous beautiful and easy to use app.
I am Impressed which isn’t easy..
by SrikanthRises on 2018/07/10 17:51
If companies like Credit Karma, Credit Sesame, even new apps like Clarity Money are able to provide the same insights and scores which the individual agencies aren’t able to provide us, why should we pay for your subscriptions? This is not about Experian alone, myFico is way too much as it doesn’t even anyone let in unless you pay for one of its subscriptions! I don’t think that’s the way it must be done and it’s just too bad if you think so. But apart from that I love Experian! This wasn’t just about Experian that I mentioned. Experian is way far better than TransUnion which only provides information to Credit Karma and any other company but itself doesn’t show your score. What say? Experian gives your score and credit report without paying anything. It also offered about two months for me to try the paid service for free. And I loved it. So paid service in these terms are fair and I would any day support Experian which doesn’t gives its score to view in free at Credit Karma but shows us our scores for free.
Easy to use & it’s a free app
by AnnieBlanco on 2018/12/13 17:45
Easy to use and it’s a free app. I understand nothing is for free (they sell our info to 3rd parties) yet those 3rd parties, ie... banks, credit card companies already have our info so no harm to fowl. I just want to see my score when I want since we are using the snowball method of paying off our debt, this app lets me see the positive benefits of paying it down, highest interest rate card first is the plan. After the subprime market crash we relied too heavily on cards to keep our business afloat. We didn't lose our home, business is intact yet credit card debt needs to be addressed head on. We have tons of home equity yet with such a high income to debt ratio & both of us Independent contractors we cant qualify for a refi & cant get zero interest transfer cards to approve us, frustrating. YET. I do wish I could see all three credit scores which is a extra cost but not paying for anything we don't need until we can refi. Its a catch 22 situation but happy this app is available. I say try it!
Experian, facilitator of ID theft
by chanto! on 2018/09/28 21:42
Experian is the absolute WORST credit reporting agency and a _facilitator_ to fraud. Bunch of shills posting positive reviews, be aware. I’m a recent ID theft victim and I’m going through the aftermath of freezing and monitoring my credit. If the 3 companies, this is the only one that I cannot reach a human to resolve my registration issue. This app throws an error and advises you to call a number, which routes you to automated machines that tend to disconnect on you before you can speak to anyone. As others have faced, I’m still not able to register so that I can monitor my credit activities. Now back to the facilitator to fraud assertion, shortly after I noticed fraudulent accounts and credit applications were opened under my name, I ran credit report checks on all 3 reporting services. Of the 3, only Experian shows soft and hard queries were performed on my account, additionally the queries were performed by Experian or Experian-affiliated businesses. I truly believe there’s still backdoors in Experian’s network infrastructure that they have not patched since their last security breach. My advice is for you to find any and all ways to freeze/lock your experian reporting to prevent being an ID theft victim yourself.
App is buggy. Customer service is terrible.
by Imyopusha on 2019/03/18 23:58
Downloaded this app to help improve my credit score. I locked my credit then unlocked it to try to apply for another credit card. Got a notification that the CC company couldn’t run a credit report because my Experian report was locked. It was not locked, I made sure of that. Had to search around for the number to talk to an actual person because the number they provide only gives you automated options. Finally got in the queue to talk to someone, waited 15 minutes and explained to the lady (who was clearly not from the US) and explained the situation to her. She answers with “there’s no lock on your credit,” so had to explain the situation AGAIN to her, which she then proceeds to check if there are any locks on my credit (SERIOUSLY?). As I’m trying to explain AGAIN the situation, the call drops. I get no call back from anyone and waited in line again for 10 minutes (and I’m at work this whole time) and decide to just hang up. PLEASE get better customer service. I don’t care if you outsource but if they can’t understand what I’m trying to explain, there’s a huge disconnect and it only make your customers even more frustrated.
Experience the Best
by Blue-Melody1 on 2019/05/09 04:59
A lot of the times your credit rating moves as slow as a snail. You try your best to be a good consumer and be consistent with your financial situation. Being a senior on a fixed income which dwindling faster than you can keep up with all involved. Experian has been fair and makes me feel that my efforts handling my finances makes me feel I still matter and at least doing fair when others of the triad rate me poor or less. I am not behind in any of my accounts and I have a car note that is more than 50% paid off on a fixed income on disability as well as paid off almost all my accounts except 3. Experian allows me to keep track of this mess and make sense of it and keeps me from throwing in the towel like a lot of folks have had to do in my situation. I have had to make slot of sacrifices to keep my credit profile where it is. Thanks for the help!!
Real Time Alerts & Feedbacks
by Chel206 on 2018/12/11 09:29
Experian provides real time alerts regarding changes to my credit file. I’m immediately able to check any updates to stay on top of my file. This recently helped me make the decision to change a long-time insurer. I questioned the lack of change in rate based on tenure and other factors. The insurer claimed to have performed a “comprehensive” review including credit review. This did not appear on my Experian file, which the insurer claimed to have utilized. Based on my inability to substantiate the insurer’s claim, I moved on to another insurer and lowered my rate by 25+% while increasing my coverage. I find Experian user friendly (it helped me to review the tips). Most importantly, it’s an effective tool in allowing me to model my credit scenario and steadily strengthen my credit score. It’s been a worthwhile investment for the 1 Starbucks/per week I decided to give up!!
This is to Arrogant A$$hole
by Navyman1955$ on 2019/02/24 00:24
You are such a self centered egotistical Arrogant A$$hole not all credit is ruined because of an unpaid bill. For instance I had a workman’s comp claim that wasn’t paid by an inadequate insurance company that my employer goes through and it ruined my credit dropped it 57 pts through no fault of my own. I denied the charges to Experian but guess who never got back to me to even tell me what I could do to fix this. So before you start defending an establishment such as Experian I think you should think about people who through no fault of their own are screwed by companies that have you by the balls and squeeze every chance they get. They have no problem dropping your score, but it takes an arm and a leg to recover those points. I just hope you don’t get screwed (Through no fault of your own) by the company you are dead set to defend.
Amazing! App love love love it!
by jr1281 on 2019/04/26 02:55
When I was 16 someone stole my Identity. Experian was the only company (not credit karma etc) that showed me exactly what I had on my credit report and was able to separate the other person. I’ve been looking to experian since! With the app I always lock my information which deff works because I went to run my credit and finance a new bedset and the store tried twice running my background and couldn’t. Until I was like “oh wait!”; I unlocked it waited a few minutes and it worked. Awesome app and will continue to use this. Very on point and updated continuously with recent activity on credit report. And the tips given to help in different ways to help and what you did that would could make it worse. To me, $10 and change a month is worth a peace of mind.
Paywall for Credit Lock; Fail
by Niko2005 on 2019/05/12 14:51
Experian charging for credit lock effectively defeats the awesomeness of TransUnion and Equifax giving it for free, since you really have to manage all three bureaus if you’re going to manage any of them - especially for a credit lock, which, ironically, more or less alleviates the need for the benefit Experian would like you to feel like you’re paying for: credit monitoring. If I can lock all my credit reports, then by definition I have no need to monitor my credit reports for nefarious activity. The app performs really well, totally smooth... unfortunately it just lacks the only button that Equifax and TransUnion both fill most of their app home screens with - the lock. For $10 a month, you too can assure that Experian is the only company that can dupe you out of $120 a year. And just to be clear, while Experian responds with a statement about a credit ‘freeze’ still being free, educated consumers know that’s NOT the same as a credit ‘lock’. If you’d like to know the difference, google it.
So far no good
by acoyne4521 on 2018/11/09 03:28
The old app magically stopped working. Come to find out, it’s no longer available, and I have to create a new account, even though I’m still — and have been — paying $25/mo for my subscription. Now, when I go to the new app or the website, someone else’s credit card is on there, my name is incorrect, and my year of birth is incorrect. None of this happened until I switched to the new app and account tonight. My Credit Karma app is still all correct, so I’m not worried that I have been the victim of fraud. I’m just passed off that I’ve now got the unpleasant task of calling Experian customer service, explaining that THEY have screwed up and that I’m actually who I say I am, and that I don’t have $43,000 worth of credit, but more like $15,000. And that now until it’s fixed, I can’t go apply for the AMEX I was going to apply for before I created a new account with Experian who apparently effed up MY credit report. Way to go. And you can bet that I’ll be cancelling my subscription, as well.
Overall good to have
by 85% happy on 2018/11/18 16:19
I am a bit obsessive about keeping my credit score in good shape, so I appreciate having this service. I do recommend it overall, as it has helped me over the years to see if something suspect is going on and to know where my credit and debt stands. Yes, it’s a worthwhile tool I use weekly and I will continue to use this service. This is more for corporate.... the new app isn’t as great or user friendly as the old version. I was forced to sign up for the new version, when the old version stopped working. I was looking forward to some noticeable upgrades, only to find a big credit card sign up suggestion section taking up most of the page. It’s more annoying than helpful. I hope you guys make some improvements, as I see I’m not the only customer feeling this way.
Dispute Issues / Transfer of data through automated call
by *JBEAUX* on 2019/03/27 14:30
I joined Experian today and noticed an unapproved hard inquiry. The app would not let me dispute and relayed me to the online account, the online account would not allow me to dispute and said I needed to call. There is not a dispute option on the automated call options so I choose the fraud option. I’m on hold now and will update accordingly. The app navigation could be better but the pertinent information is there. UPDATE: still on hold, 15 minutes... someone picked up and said they would transfer me to the fraud dept. although that was the choice I made at the beginning of the automated call. Also, i entered my SS# at the beginning of the automated call and was still asked to give it aloud which is not very secure in an office environment. The fraud personnel were very concise and thorough during the call though and quickly resolved the issue and provided me with all information I requested.
Identity stolen
by Mommi3of3 on 2019/03/20 22:47
I am a 33 year old woman who had her credit identity stolen 2 years ago. I never thought in my wildest dreams that it would happen to me. I had of course heard of it happening, but always thought no one would want my credit. Thanks to getting Experian I can lock my credit and unlock if I need to. If another Bureau pulls my credit Experian lets me know almost immediately. I can honestly say I don’t know what I would’ve done within these 2 years without you alls help. Yes, scammers still try every year to get cards in my name, but I am able to stop them because of Experian relating the information to me. Yes, there is a fee and I have to tell you at first I was skeptical about paying it, but honestly it’s worth every penny that they have saved me!
Sleazy Business Practices
by fraudsucks on 2018/03/22 14:27
After having a freeze on my reports for years I had to temporary lift it to apply for a credit card for my new business. The free trial sounded great, so I signed up and noted in my calendar when the trial would end and monthly billing would start. I did pay $5 to temporarily unlock my report for my bank to view, but then attempted to stop the $9.95 subscription. No one at the company answered my emails and I sat on the phone for over an hour despite the recording saying the wait would be 7–10 minutes. The app is so easy to use, yet one is NOT able to cancel the subscription on it. This behavior is too blatant and Experian is obviously trying to prevent me from cancelling a $9.95 monthly charge for a product I do not need! I never asked them to compile my data, so why do I now have to pay them to not release this same data? THIS DATA SHOULD BR FREE TO ME SINCE IT IS MINE, fine if you want to charge the retailers and banks wanting these reports but to charge me and other consumers is greed.
Excellent service!
by TheOGLoveablediane on 2018/10/08 02:43
Had finally decided to clean my credit and got the free report without needing to sign up or jump through hoops to identify myself. Found I had fraudulent activity was able to talk on the phone with a rep who was fantastic, so understanding and helped me find the best way to set up alert to my file so I don’t need to worry about further fraud. I have been able to get my score up by 33 points since starting my Experian account. Been recommending their services to all my friends and family and others have also seen an increase in their own scores. Was offered a free credit score about a month after setting up so that was great too!! Love being able to keep track of everything without fear!
One of the most helpful tools taking charge of your credit
by MaryBeth21 on 2019/05/02 21:43
We had a run of bad luck medical bills and that and it was inevitable that our credit rating would fall to pour one we couldn’t pay our debt and we defaulted on some agreements getting the Experian app has really allowed us to take charge our credit to know what’s going on month-to-month to see who we have to contact and where to pay off some of those older Dess I have changed hands and overall has help us increase our credit rating from the 450 to 581 and although 581 is only fair I know that Lindsey Experian app and the tools it’s given us I will be able to get my credit rating back to goodSoon and even excellent in the next year

Experian has been fantastic. I was reluctant to purchase the subscription but was pretty desperate to figure out some issues on my credit report. After having this app for four months I don’t regret it! I have been able to dispute two negative reports on my credit. Stimulate my credit (i.e, what would my credit be if I paid off full debt, or went bankrupt, etc). It also locks your credit which is AWESOME. One time I forgot to lock my credit and applied for a credit card, instantly denied and Experian sent me a text and email stating “someone” had tried to access my credit (even though it was me). It’s a sound of mind and one less inquiry I would have to wait for 2 years to be taken off!
Little to no customer service
by Ange613 on 2019/05/05 05:56
I was really enjoying this app! I recently purchased a new phone and I have been unable to log back in to the Experian app since. I have contacted the customer service number multiple times. It loops you to where you never get a live person. The automated messages continually tell me to log in for assistance, but I can’t log in! I even tried email prompts and changing my password. Not sure what else to do! I am still getting email alerts about “changes to my credit” but I can’t log in to see them. Such a bummer. Prior to this issue, I was a fan of the app and the conveniences it offered in keeping me on track with my credit monitoring. I felt secure knowing that if there was ever an issue, I’d be alerted right away. I have been pretty frustrated with my attempts to make contact with someone who can assist me in gaining access to my account again!
Above Average
by 756 FICO on 2019/02/20 11:16
Some say Platforms such as credit karma, credit sesame, and others using the vantage score are the way to go because they are free. What these people do not realize is that this is not a FICO score they are being given. Banks use your FICO score. Furthermore, you have a score for different categories like auto loans, credit cards, and mortgages. Experian offers you the chance to see these. For a fee of course. But nonetheless these scores could really help you in making a decision when taking on a mortgage. That’s the most scrutinized purchases you will ever make. Understanding your FICO score and using tools such as Experian to help you raise it, are definitely worth the few dollars to potentially save thousands!
A must have service
by ychikal on 2018/05/11 16:48
Experian has been nothing but cooperative and transparent in our dealings. The information they’ve provided has been so helpful in building credit after living overseas for years and posed a solution to watching our accounts while out of the USA. Now that we’re back we have literally a daily way of checking on our new accounts and scores. When I switched from the monthly to a free account I was pleasantly surprised at how much information was still free via the app and how we still received emails about alerts. I was also able to see any errors on our credit and remedy those using the free dispute service. I’d highly recommend this service to you all.
DONT DO IT TOTAL SCAM
by Paradigm8472 on 2018/03/09 15:16
So I tried to get my “free” credit report, only to be told that I would have to pay $1 and sign up for an “easy to cancel” trial period to see my score, which in turn signs you up for an automatically recurring monthly fee. So, I’m waiting for a confirmation email that I’m sure will have a link to cancel my free trial. NOPE, no email. I go back into the app and nowhere in it is there a place to cancel- you must call their customer service line. After being told it would be a 45 minute wait, I was on hold for AN HOUR AND A HALF when it DISCONNECTED ME. I don’t have all day to sit on the phone so now I’m going to get charged for this service I don’t want on my credit card, which I will be disputing with my card company. It is unbelievable that a company billing themselves as helping your credit is running a scam like this. I will be sharing this story on every social media platform and telling everyone I know DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
Credit Help
by EMT TLARISON on 2019/05/01 01:34
I recently found out there were some reports on my credit report that were not mine and not valid. I disputed them with Experian, and just 24 hours later they have been able to remove some of the false reports. Since those reports are off my credit report, my credit score has already gone back up. The application also gives you tips on how to boost your overall credit score. I also like having 24 hour protection for identity theft. With the dark web, people can easily get your personal identification and steal your identity. I am 100 percent satisfied with this application, and I will gladly pay 20 dollars a month for this peace of mind.
Decent
by NewStudent109 on 2018/03/30 18:37
I only got this app so I could check my credit reports on the fly, and based off that criteria alone, it's a pretty good app for that. The only problem is it won't let me check my transUnion and Equifax reports although I purchased the package that would let me check all three at once. I'm pretty disappointed but I figured it sounded too good to be true. If you have made the same mistake as me and purchased one of these packages, DON'T CALL THEM. Instead, go onto your computer and sign into your profile, navigate to memberships and at the very bottom in small letters, there's an option to change your membership ONLINE. This worked for me and I'm back to a free membership, I hope it helped anyone else out there who needed help.
Great for credit obsessing (me)
by JESSICAR2000 on 2019/01/04 02:21
I have become pretty obsessed with my credit. Fixing it. Increasing my score. Preventing fraud. I have the power to look at a current version of my credit at all times. I keep it locked until I’m applying for credit somewhere (which has prevented two fraudulent inquiries in the last 12 months). I love the alerts. And the score simulator. I pay for triple credit bureau reports and can update every 30 days. Great app. I didn’t try the previous version so I have nothing to compare to, but very happy with how this has worked out. Also was able to get assistance from customer service with about a three minute wait by phone.
Needs Improvement
by rodmart1704 on 2018/10/25 17:06
I have purchased the Experian credit monitoring for about a year now. I decided to purchase after having my identity stolen. I like the ease of having the app to check my acct and the ability to lock my credit. I do check frequently and the emails have alerted me of some additional fraudulent accounts opened under my name. I have also locked my credit with Equifax and TransUnion. Handling disputes, is not as easy. I tried handling a couple of disputes online but it directed me to call Experian. All you get is an automated answer service that only handles generic questions. It took me three times calling with two different phone numbers to finally get a human on the phone. Their phone lines should be answered by a person, not an automated answer machine!
Good app
by Jelena Black on 2019/03/23 04:21
I’ve been using this app for several years and it’s a good app. Simple interface, never buggy. I set up notifications within the app and like getting notified when something changes on my credit report, including when someone is trying to run a credit inquiry. I keep my credit locked and the app makes it easy to lock/unlock access to my credit report as needed. The app also notified me of a new recent Amex application, which I was able to stop before any fraud took place. Setting up notifications and using the app regularly is key to knowing what your credit looks like and being in control of it.
Experian
by Abbeyyyyyyyy412222222222!!! on 2019/02/14 01:42
The Experian app has been a great tool in assisting me to bring my credit score up almost 200 points in the past 2 years. It provides information on what is keeping your credit down and just how to build your credit up. It also provides a visual of what you can do to increase your credit score and a picture of what your credit will look like in a specific time frame if you follow their advice. You receive a daily update on your credit score and can also see what your score is with the other 2 bureaus. I highly suggest this app if you are looking to achieve better credit. Thank you, Experian.
What’s Your Interest?
by MattMEngineer on 2019/01/30 14:55
If you’re not using this inexpensive utility to monitor and track your credit reports and the inquiry’s therein, I hate to know what your credit looks like. This is the best informative resource to help and guide the credit-blind, and even the one’s more adverse in handling and monitoring their credit. Easy to use, and everything you need to know is at the tips of your fingers. If you’re not using this, please take the time to establish an account. Finally, somewhere you can go to learn what FICO standards you’re being held to and potential avenues to take to reinforce your credit foundation. A must have for me. It’s better when we all succeed!
Very comprehensive
by Cheeseburger mania on 2019/01/28 15:43
I was able to find info that Credit Karma couldn’t provide. I didn’t know I had a collection on my report until I signed up for an Experian account. Although Credit Karma claims to use Transunion, my Experian account disclosed the open collection. I paid it off immediately and my credit score rose. It also contains info on when my credit cards report to the credit agencies so that i can pay down my balances on the right cards at the right time. While Credit Karma is good for the overall picture, I think Experian gives you a more comprehensive look at your credit. I’ll keep my subscription forever.
Good except annoying Alert numbers
by kcTubbesing on 2019/01/26 05:04
This is a good app for controlling your credit and being informed about it. Annoyingly, Experian does not allow you to clear the frequent reporting notifications that are symbolized by the white number in a red circle on the top of their icon without going through each and every one of the alerts one by one. Anyone with normal credit history will find that you will have a dozen or more of these built up in short order and you have to go through each of them by clicking into and clearing them individually in order to get rid of the number which means the number and it’s alert is perpetually present on your homepage and therefore useless.
Worst CRA out there.
by DA2B on 2018/10/20 16:19
Experian is the worst ripoff credit reporting agency out there. The law now requires free freeze/unfreeze. Until the law went into effect, Experian charges for each freeze and unfreeze. The other two bureaus did not. Experian also makes it exceedingly needlessly difficult to freeze and unfreeze. This worthless app does NOT let you freeze and unfreeze. TransUnion has an easy app just for that. And Equifax at least makes it easy to do so on their website. Experian however makes it so hard that I now can’t unfreeze my credit report to apply for a credit card. Those site won’t allow me to do it and won’t tell me why (I’m certain all my info is correct). Also forget about ever talking to them on the phone if you have a problem - it’s not possible. Experian, you are seriously the worst and don’t care about consumers AT ALL.
Love it!
by NConthego on 2019/05/19 10:47
After my divorce I worked so hard to get my credit score established and went from 616 to 697 in less than 6 months I was able to do this by being able to monitor my score & get tips from this app!!
Horrible new app, will cancel service
by Chris Munguia on 2018/10/30 05:56
I have paid $30 per month for the last 10 years. Now you changed the app and made it worthless. You want me to pay $20 more just to use the credit simulator? Come on! I get credit reports for free with my credit cards. The value you had before was ok, but these changes and new app based on ads for credit cards is a complete disgrace. I will be canceling my 10yr membership right now. One thing is to change and improve and another is to decrease access, shrink value, and blast customers with things the have never asked for. We get tons of credit card offers in the mail, we don't need your ads within a PAID SERVICE, which isn't cheap by any means considering most credit cards provide their customers with the same information for free. Good luck!
Very useful, no issues
by 15%er on 2019/01/12 15:19
I’ve been using the app for a couple of months now and I’m loving it. I did the free trial and canceling was easy so they must have fixed that issue. I’ve checked out other agencies, but their prices are too high. Experian was the most reasonably priced. After the holidays, I decided to pay for a month to get my updated scores and I really like the interface. Experian updates daily and the other two scores (TU & EQ) update monthly. Also, please note that these are actual FICO scores, which lenders use. I also use Credit Karma and they use Vantage scores, which are not the same.

Simple to use and up to date
by TooTall Tax Guy on 2019/05/10 19:25
The app is very up to date and simple to use. I was able to lock and then unlock my credit report for just a few hours when I applied for a mortgage. I locked it back up a few hours later after the credit check was done. The credit balances get updated a few days after the statements are out. For most accounts, it is easier to check them on the app instead of logging into every one of them if all you are doing is checking for summary purposes.
Experian charges for service Equifax and TransUnion offer for free
by EMG in Maine on 2019/05/11 14:56
Experian charges a fee to lock and unlock your credit report in-app, something that Equifax and TransUnion allow users to do in-app for free. When challenged on this, Experian will try to misdirect on the issue by saying that they “offer” the ability for customers to freeze their credit report for free, but what they WON’T say is that a) we’re talking about two different things here (locking and freezing are two different things, and freezing is free because the government requires it-Experian would charge for it if they could); and b) Experian is indeed charging for a service in-app that the other two bureaus offer in-app for free; and c) Experian is charging customers in order for them to have control over their own information. Shameful!
Keep up the GREAT Job
by Magicdukeman on 2019/04/25 01:54
Your app has helped me fix my credit so much is unbelievable, thank you for that. I am about to turn 50 on July 3, 2019, and I screwed up my credit when I was your. It’s only been the last 3-4 years I said I can’t do this anymore, I need to do this for me but for my daughter as well. My daughter is on the same path as I was. I wish your app had a Sevices e to monitor my daughter credit as well so I can help her not do as I did. I have no problem paying more, because your has done soooo much good for me. Thank you so much.
New App is Frustrating
by Vbm001 on 2019/01/11 07:55
It’s great that they’ve added some new features in this new app but the interface is crap and not user friendly at all. The main focus on the home screen is advertisements for new credit cards, not my credit report which is what I’m paying for. BTW there was zero communication that the old app was just going to stop working. Unless you went searching on your own for a new app you were left with an app that just crashed every time you tried to open it. After being a loyal client for over 10 years I’ll be looking for other options where I don’t have to pay to have ads thrown in my face as a priority. Also I don’t like that you can’t get anyone on the phone anymore. Poor customer service.
Beware, Experian will charge your credit card w/o authorization
by Kmccart76 Marty on 2018/10/08 02:07
Experian’s old credit tracker app shut down 2 months ago and you cannot use the new app without establishing new credentials. Despite not having the service available any longer, they were still charging my new credit card # (Even after I removed the old card) a monthly fee without my authorization for the old app and my bank had to place a stop payment to prevent them from doing so going forward. This is ironic being that this is a CREDIT BUREAU! They never emailed, called, or attempted to contact me with the new app info, yet continued to charge me for a service that did not exist anymore. SKETCHY! I will never use this service again and would not recommend it to anyone.
App Glitch
by DJ Renegade (USA) on 2018/09/17 14:24
The app has a glitch and when I reported it and they acknowledged the glitch the Tier 1 representative I spoke with hung up on me because she claimed she had no way to communicate the glitch to a programmer so I will address it here and hope it gains some traction. I was trying to handle this internally but they wouldn’t so here you go! Credit and Debt Summary Real Estate & Other Debt is displaying a balance when it should have a zero balance. I confirmed with the tier 1 rep that this is the case. Due to a programming glitch it is showing a balance. Instead of hanging up on people you should fix the problem!
Good Job
by D.J.G on 2018/11/24 13:57
When I first downloaded this app it used to not give the Fico Score and they wanted to charge $1 dollar just to see the number but a week later they updated the app to provide the score with no charge good job for that 👍🏽👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Every site like Credit Karma or NerdWallet Experian make their money selling our data to the banks so why charge us to see a score myFico is ridiculously expensive as in $39 a month expensive so Experian thank you maybe next update let us freeze our credit without a charge?

I was scared to death when I first started learning about my credit Report. But, The sign-up process was easier than what I expected. I love my Experians app. I have just recently signed up for the credit monitoring and I have just been blown away with how much information I have receive about my credit across all three Credit agencies. I have never been happier or feel more in control about my credit. I totally recommend using Experian for all your credit monitoring needs.

With the help of Experian I have learned a lot about building good credit and it has been very useful. My only disappointment is the the “credit booster” won’t work for me because my bank is not one of the listed banks. All of my bills are paid on this account and it would help immensely to get a good rating on it.

Experian app not working
by FaeMagick on 2019/05/19 20:01
It is asking me to confirm my first and last names, address, and phone number. Every time I try to confirm it is going back through everything asking me again to confirm. I have confirmed my information is correct multiple times and the app will not let it go through.

Love it!

Thank you for allowing me to monitor my score & believing that not everything reported is factual!!

by Foremost Faithful on 2019/05/16 17:56
This is one of the best apps that I use on a monthly basis to monitor my credit.

I’m 40 and just decided to finally decide to work in my credit.
by stealthboodle2 on 2019/03/18 04:33
I’m a 40 year old male and never really worried about credit.

Happy Customer

I was scared to death when I first started learning about my credit Report. But, The sign-up process was easier than what I expected. I love my Experians app. I have just recently signed up for the credit monitoring and I have just been blown away with how much information I have receive about my credit across all three Credit agencies. I have never been happier or feel more in control about my credit. I totally recommend using Experian for all your credit monitoring needs.
