Good, but Daily Plan is restictive
by Michael Ashton on 2019/01/18 01:12
👍 Automatically adds flights, reservations, maps and saved places. 👎 Daily Plan is too restrictive. I want to create a plan with my stated/saved places on the map. Also I want to edit re-order the itinerary. I guess I’ll just keep using Apple Notes and Google Maps until they update. Good effort though! Please keep developing this
Convenient travel organizer.
by PatF3735 on 2019/01/07 13:00
Easy to use, mini travel guide & organizer using information drawn from your Gmail account.
Please add Airbnb emails
by Robbo178 on 2019/01/02 20:55
Right now the email engine does not read the emails reservation from Airbnb. Adding reservations by hand is so last year ;).
It’s great. I especially like the day plan feature!
by JG King on 2019/01/01 04:33
Very recommend
I was excited, until...
by Lbwhexican on 2018/12/30 16:54
Until I realized customizing day plans was creating more plans, instead of the one selected for edit; each time a change is made, a new day plan is created. Not sure why this is the case, it it was enough to push me away after setting it all up 👎🏼
Wish I could actually use it to book things
by sarahck17 on 2018/12/27 15:44
Google Flights is my favorite way to book flights - cheap and easy. I was hoping this app would incorporate the easy web interface/booking process available online. I’m currently using the Kayak app even though I don’t like it as much, simply because there is no mobile option for Google Flights. I’ll switch as soon as there is one.
Useful when it works
by soygalla on 2018/12/26 17:51
The app is great for traveling, when it works. After the first couple of launches, the “where do you wanna go” search bar disappear and I can add new trips. The only solution I’ve found is reinstalling the app, until the search bar disappears again and i gotta repeat the process, kinda frustrating.
Keeps deleting reservations
by Epic. 🐍 on 2018/12/24 04:41
Not only did it not pick up on my emails, after manually entering the reservation details for flights, it keeps clearing them. Very disappointed.
Pretty Good
by rjlr2000 on 2018/12/22 02:56
The app’s graphics are good. Information is laid out nicely, and it even downloaded details from several previous trips I had taken. I would like to see an option to add cruise reservations in the same way you can add flights and hotels. Seems odd that Google would not have accounted for the fact that so many people take cruises as part of their vacations. If cruise details were added then I would have given the app a 5-Star Rating.
Booking tickets and passes
by Vashonm on 2018/12/21 11:00
The google trips app is not letting anyone book tickets for the (musement company) through the app. Anything we add to the cart to purchase the cart is empty. We get 20% off if we book through the google trips app. The other companies is not having the same problem.
Google Flights
by googleflightrequest on 2018/12/19 04:33
I downloaded Google Trips in hope to find something similar as Google Flights available on Android. But unfortunately this app doesn’t provide flight reservation service. I don’t blame the app for anything as i really didn’t use it. It is just a request to kindly develop a google flights for ios as well.
This needs work
by uni1q73us3r on 2018/12/15 20:56
I can’t edit the image, big no. It’s only pulling half the itinerary, so my outgoing flight isn’t even listed. I could add it, but then what’s the point of this app?
Google Trips
by Isaac H 123 on 2018/12/07 23:34
Great Idea and suggestions for where to go are great. But it does not like my Amtrak tickets. Trip it recognized the tickets but Google couldn’t do it. What a pain!!
Best money saving app!!!
by lovetheclassics on 2018/12/07 14:22
I use this app for saving money on tickets, tours and events. I have save so much money using this app!! Put in your trip destination and go to the “discounts” tab. Get your guide and Musement both offer 20% off popular ticket items like: City Go cards, theme park tickets, tours, etc. We travel frequently and this app has save us a lot of money!!
Love it!
by nathanbgerman on 2018/12/07 02:18
I don’t understand why this app has so many negative reviews. As someone who travels a lot, this app is very helpful. It automatically keeps all my flight information and hotel reservations in one easily accessible place so I don’t have to go digging through emails searching for it later.
Not Quite There
by Trust me I'm mormon on 2018/12/02 04:16
Was Really Hoping that Google flights would be integrated into the app.
USELESS
by Cubelicious on 2018/12/02 03:42
It does not let you share itinerary (day plans) with your travel partners. Even when the reservations were shared, your travel partners will not see the address, only the reservation date and confirmation number. Everytime you u edit a day plan, u have to save it under a new name and go back to the main page to delete the old plan. Please don’t waste your time with this useless travel app!
Terrible app if you actually are trying to plan your trip
by kaweena on 2018/12/01 20:16
I was super excited to use this thinking I could make a daily itinerary that would link up to my google maps app and none of that was the case. I can’t even look up the airport and plan a day. What’s the point of that? The app only lets you pick places that it decides are worth seeing and randomly creates suggestions for you. So annoying! Don’t download if you’re actually trying to plan a trip with you’re own places in mind.
Needs calendar view
by Desert Cowboy on 2018/12/01 08:50
One of the biggest mistakes people make to making reservations is with dates. Having a calendar view could detect such mistakes and potentially save lots of money.
Trying as Inbox replacement
by SFOhio on 2018/11/29 21:55
I love Inbox and it’s sad Google is getting rid of it. Possibly the thing I love most is the “Trips” organization. As I look for alternatives, what better place to start than the same feature in a standalone app? Problem is none of my future trips are in the app, despite enabling all the right permissions and refreshing regularly. Past trips were partial as well. Please don’t make me download TripIt, Google... Extra star for aggregating my starred places.
Confusing & Scattered - Unhelpful
by struckmonica on 2018/11/27 18:04
I love Google multitude of different “task managers” and tools. I mostly enjoy them because their interface and layout is user friendly, simply laid out and just overall easy to navigate and get down to business (think Google Docs & Calendar, both of which I use almost daily. Organized, concise and to the point). Having ADHD, apps and programs that are scattered with un-consecutive information and “hidden” tools without a clear and concise way of moving & planning info/data, leave my brain confused, jumbled and unable to focus on what I am trying to accomplish. When your train of thought lasts only a matter of seconds *squirrel!* it is imperative to get the ideas and goals down and finished before they escape my mind completely. This app was a huge disappointment. With my first ever week long “adult/plan it yourself” trip to Vegas coming up in less than a month, I downloaded a ton of travel apps and found this and thought this would have EVERYTHING all in one place and make planning 25x easier. Sadly, it does not. It is great if you're basically just brainstorming possible activities and/or sights to see on your trip, but if you’re looking for an app where you can browse activities AND create a detailed consecutive day-by-day itinerary (as I thought this app would do) - this is NOT the app for you. Google should keep the “browse activities” aspect indefinitely but needs to put waaay more effort into simplifying the layout and overall improving the usefulness of this app. Would be great with those changes!

Couldn’t ask for a better travel app
by Sarah2758373 on 2018/11/25 17:36
Used google trips during my first visit to Europe where I traveled through 5 countries. It was so useful I used it every day to view my full preloaded itinerary and to find things to do.
It’s a pocket travel guide
by CaseyHH on 2018/11/22 09:20
This is really a travel guide than a planner. I was excited to discover this app hoping it will allow multiple users to edit our trip plans integrated with other superb google functions. But this is not that at all. While the app provides extensive closed-travel information on your destination, it doesn’t allow you to edit or add or remove anything personal.
SERIOUS SERIOUS SERIOUS data security issues...
by Callen1298 on 2018/11/22 02:57
While planning for a Girls Trip, I downloaded the app and synced my gmail. My friends also have gmail ...and had recently emailed me their reservations to my gmail address. Both fortunately and unfortunately, the app invited me to sync any reservation found or sent to my gmail. In doing so, the app gave me access to not just the upcoming trip reservations my friends emailed to me, but to EVERY PREVIOUS TRIP CONNECTED to their gmail addresses. I had access to years of air-travel histories for my friends. Seriously. The app was presenting me the option of linking all of my friends’ currently AND previous travel itineraries without any permission or request for access!!! How in the world is this even possible in this day and age?!?!?! I immediately deleted the app and have changed to a non-gmail address for all of my travel vendors and partners.
Potential
by Buckeyespud on 2018/11/21 20:29
No search features at all which really hurts being able to add restaurants/hotels and personal POI.

I want so much to love this app...but can’t.
by LoveMyPhoneGames on 2018/10/24 22:56
I see so much potential in this app but it is just lacking in basic abilities. You can manually manipulate your trip, when using day plans it throws in things you don’t want to see and if you add things you do want to see it throws other things you want to see out. You can’t add in times for lunch breaks if planning for a full day of travel. The moving between each city to see you itinerary is annoying and time consuming, it would be much easier to have a full itinerary option with all you day plans included for the trip. I would so much like to help make this app to be the best it can because the information from google is somewhat accurate and the travel times are included, but have no indication that my feedback messages are actually being read. Come on google, you can do better with this app!
Only show some
by App1234567 on 2018/10/24 18:04
Some trips show. Some don’t. And some appear and disappear randomly. Pretty much junk app
Don’t bother downloading
by reviews456789 on 2018/10/23 15:11
I have an upcoming trip and all of my details were in the app. Both locations for the trip were “downloaded” so I could access them offline. I went to add a change to my plans and both of my “downloaded” locations were gone and I couldn’t retrieve them from my email. All of my trip details disappeared. Don’t bother downloading this app it will just delete your information.
Seriously lacking functionality/ease of use
by ArrowXCom on 2018/10/18 02:36
I spent 30 minutes staring different locations to visit and tried to map them out using the day trip. The day trio only lets you select things they tell you to go see, so I couldn’t actually plan a day doing the things I wanted to do. The starring, placed I want to visit, and favorites all seem to look and act the same which also makes the different categories useless. I really want to love the app but it’s just so horrible.
Oh Google, so hopeful...
by vdumlao on 2018/10/15 12:26
I downloaded this app thinking that with Google’s exhaustive database of maps and other information, I could put together a detailed “daily plan” of sites-to-see and places to stay for my upcoming trip, but it just falls short. Maybe 15-30 minutes into the app and I’ve already noticed... PROS - It gathers travel information (flights, accommodations, etc.) from your emails for you and consolidates it into a single “trip” - Using the Search, you can find detailed information about specific sites, including hours of operation, reviews, etc. - You can save these things-to-do for future reference CONS - Day Plan uses a “magic wand” button to put together a -random- itinerary of places to see and you have basically can’t choose where you’re going - Doesn’t allow you to create a plan from your own personal points of interest, e.g. you can’t choose a hotel as your start point or some other landmark as your next destination - Just not user-friendly or intuitive I’m normally a fan of Google products/services, and this app has a great database and means of consolidating your personal travel info, but without the ability to create and customize your own personal itineraries from this information, you really can’t “plan” anything. You’re better off “Googling” places and planning the rest of your trip on travel apps like Sygic or TripIt. I wanna give it to you Google, but I just can’t (I will if you can fix it)!
Worst app
by Davy1382 on 2018/10/13 03:03
I cannot figure how to choose my own day trips when they keep suggesting the ones I don’t want. There are no directions on anything that is useful except just some for basics. It would be easier to do this on the computer first then have it transferred to the mobile. It would t accept anything useful for me
Handy tool
by RS0_0_4 on 2018/10/13 01:41
Incorporates airfare and hotel information. Days plans are amazing as well for discovering what to do!
Can’t make own itinerary
by ZP25 on 2018/10/10 18:16
If I can’t make my own itinerary and day plan and not what google recommends than this app is useless.
Please add option to add events
by Klar1ty on 2018/10/09 19:07
Great app and extremely useful, but would be so helpful to have the option to add events such as concerts to my trip
Extremely basic.
by Turboclown on 2018/10/04 22:13
Could do better on google maps
Would prefer better Flight tools
by lemoinade on 2018/09/30 22:21
This is a great idea but really falls short. You can’t browse or track flights which is one of googles strongest trip tools. The most worthwhile features are definitely watered down Google Maps tools so if you’re trying to plan out routes or search for things to do, creating your own maps is better or using an app like FourSquare. This trips app feels more like a poorly disguised advertising tool.
So much potential
by Mmpowers15 on 2018/09/29 23:39
This could be a lifesaver, if only there was a way to create a custom itinerary, and not have to use the suggested ones. I know what sites I want to see and would love to add them in a schedule myself. Add that feature and it would be amazing!
Not very flexible
by ThisIsMy#5nickname on 2018/09/23 00:55
Downloaded the App and was excited. Tried it out with a trip, but could not set my days up without suggestions getting in the way. Spent about and hour working with the app. Want to do Tokyo Disneyland for a full day, but suggestions kept getting in the way. It created its own day rather than the day I create and then another day was automatically created with Disneyland plus other suggestions. I deleted everything, saved, still had the suggestions hanging around. Deleted the entire trip and started again and ran into the same problem. This made me feel more stress than I need while planning a fun trip. Tried everything another day, same frustration. I am tech savvy, but this became a hassle that I didn’t want. Sorry. Deleted the App.

by GooonerX07 on 2018/09/12 03:05

Needs improvement
by Bonbongt on 2018/09/11 15:01
I like the idea and concept of being able to plan out my trips. However there are some critical misses. When I look at the map of saved places that I created in google maps not all places appear in trips. Therefore when I go create a day trip I can’t select where to begin since the locations don’t exists. We are going on wine tours and I would like to have the ability to add other types of appointments to our reservations. Also we changed hotels for our trip and shows us now as staying in two hotels and I haven’t found a way to remove the cancellation. These hotels were added from google reading my gmail.
Only airlines
by fifment 619 on 2018/09/09 21:42
It does not recognize cruise reservations, scooter reservations and had trouble with hotels. It did work on airlines, but not much els
Not for non-vacation travelers
by UsherMocha on 2018/09/02 08:45
I’ve only installed the app for about ten minutes so bear in mind I haven’t tried many of the features. For vacation planning, it might be okay. But for someone traveling regularly to familiar cities (not just for business), there are far two many distractions. There are far too many clicks involved to see itinerary details. This is essentially why I won’t continue looking at the app. I love the Trips feature built into Google Inbox and thought this would be an extension of that but Google Inbox actually provides a better view of the itinerary than Trips. And both pale in comparison to TripIt which this app inspired me to revisit after relying on Inbox only for the last year or so. Maybe if this were called Google Vacations I’d be less disappointed. But it’s been nice reviewing my old trips in TripIt because of this app so I can’t fault it too much.
Amazing

This app is Great 🚶🏽‍♂️
More?
by Jeff Schwandt on 2018/09/01 12:54
Google Trips helps you discover places to go & things to do, at the destination of your trip. However, it offers no help for planning or organizing the trip itself: • Drive vs fly vs ride (train or bus) • Route planning • Lodging enroute (given criteria like drive no more than 8 hours, avoid Atlanta at rush hour, hotels with 4-Star reviews, etc. ) • Rest & fuel stops • Places to see along the way Oh, and budgeting for the trip.
Nope
by DBHouston on 2018/08/29 22:31
Only really works if you are committed to the googleverse. Gmail is helpful, not yahoo. Also doesn’t allow you to share trips with fellow travelers. No expense tracking/sharing function.
Great app but needs a few updates
by legalgal2112 on 2018/08/29 22:08
It’s a great app and I love that it takes the travel plans from your e-mail, but I wish you could put tour plans into the app like you do travel/ hotel. I booked a couple of tours and I want them integrated from confirmations in my e-mail. I also wish there was an integration between google maps and this app, like I could plan my whole day with times and directions and everything.
Horrible experience
by simpleVinny on 2018/08/27 21:55
I used this app to store all reservations I made for my 10 day trip in Europe. After I landed in Europe My trip is lost.Free version of TripIt was doing pretty well. But, assumed google makes better products. I was wrong. It does not do what it promises to do. Btw, it is very moody. The trips come and go at will. Will be difficult to trust this app again
Crappiest app on my phone
by P_luck on 2018/08/21 13:36
I rarely take the time out of my day to write a review, but when an app is as absolutely crappy as this, I’m willing to make an exception. I guess the product, design, and development teams must’ve had their heads up each other’s butts when they created this. Either that or it’s intentionally crappy. How is it possible that an app which purports to be an itinerary builder doesn’t allow you to create your own itinerary. The day plan feature, which I suppose is jerkoff lingo for “itinerary” is entirely based on auto suggest. Any time you try to add a destination, all of googles recommended venues get added. One has to physically remove each one of them. Even if one did want to see all the recommended POIs, one can’t reorder them to fit ones schedule. Really guys, really? Utter crap. This app is bad and you should feel bad.
Cruise Confirm doesn’t recognized
by roycheung1120 on 2018/08/14 14:36
It works great on flight hotel and car rental, but when I booked my cruise trip, it didn’t recognize the confirmation email
No way to collaborate!!
by vaguerizing on 2018/08/11 17:08
Just started using this, and the first thing I wanted to do was connect with the person I am traveling with so we could make an itinerary together. Buuuuuut you can’t do that. So nuts!!!! Why??
Doesn’t pull reservations from Gmail reliably
by ShandyBeach on 2018/08/02 09:41
I started using this app a couple years ago, it seemed to work fine. Within the last year, however, it’s not pulling really obvious reservation emails (flights, major hotels, hot wire confirmations) from my Gmail account into reservations. No matter what I try, deleting, forwarding, re-forwarding, they just don’t show up. Google: add a feature like the other travel cases have, where you can forward your reservation email to a particular email address to make sure it gets in… Or dragon drop. Too bad, I want to like it, moving on to TripIt or one of the others!
So where can I add note?!
by Sean_k1 on 2018/07/30 23:49
I was excited to update this app since the newest version has note function. I am using this app on iPhone X. There’s no add note thing in the place list.
Amazing but...
by dnlrva on 2018/07/30 23:01
It needs the ability to add a user to your planned trip so your entire party can plan together. Maybe even have notifications when a user changes a detail or adds a detail. I don't know you're Google so I'm so you know what you are doing. Anyways great app just needs that one little but major feature.
Reservations
by fatty16305 on 2018/07/28 03:30
We can not add the cruise reservation !
No sharing feature
by Jgdsfnyy on 2018/07/27 20:47
I was so excited for this app to plan my family trip. We are going with my sisters-in-law and their families. However, there is no way to share my trip with them, which was sort of the whole point. I guess if you are traveling alone this app would work, otherwise, it has proved to be an online travel book. Also, you cannot add vacation day trips within the same date range of the main location. For instance if I was going to stay in Paris for August 7-10, I could not take a day trip to Chambord on August 9. So my dates in my trip are totally arbitrary.
Waste of time
by Levap030507 on 2018/07/26 08:06
I spent a lot of time entering 10 different flight informations for an upcoming trip I have. Everything looked saved and I was even able to access the information for a couple weeks. Now, a week before my flights ALL the flight information is missing. Nothing saved. Waste of time.
Lacks manual adjustments
by PSSnyder on 2018/07/22 23:48
I agree with reviews that conclude Trips does a lot of things right but is useless to an experienced traveler because the day planner does not allow the user to control their itinerary. It is impossible to add and select places to see and then place them on the day and in the order you want. Your day is controlled by AI that makes many mistakes and that seems to plan what it would like to do rather than what you want to do.
Does not support Dynamic Type
by EMG in Maine on 2018/07/22 14:12
App does not appear to support Dynamic Type, which is crucial for individuals with a vision impairment. Without this support I cannot increase the text size in the app, which means I cannot read it. This is an easy, easy fix as the feature is built into the Accessibility settings in iOS - Google need only adopt it. Don’t just give lip service to diversity and inclusion - if you are going to talk the talk you should walk the walk.
Not a Google app
by ValUA on 2018/07/21 16:30
Looks like not a Google app. Asks for a flight number, and then - for departure and arrival times... what a nightmare? Asks for trip dates, but shows general attractions information, no details for dates of a trip. Asks about accomodation address, but later no customized info for transportation from/to airport, no distance to attractions, no closest restaurants or events. Thus, no even a feeling you’re inside Google universe.
My info went missing
by Hashem18 on 2018/07/19 16:56
I plugged in all my reservations for my honeymoon everything was there: flights, hotels, even ferry rides with all the confirmations and everything. Took me 2 hours to put in everything. When I checked it after a week everything was still there. Now I check and I only see a few reservations that where auto grabbed from my gmail. There are more reservations in my gmail that this app didn’t grab so I have to start all over again. The dumb layout and half-baked suggestions don’t make it better either. Just use an excel sheet, this app is there yet.
Still a ways to go...
by tbjers on 2018/07/19 03:46
Getting better. I still don't understand why day trips can't use any point on the map as a stop.
Almost there
by lm 2018 on 2018/07/17 05:55
I stared using this to plan a trip to Denmark and while this has potential, its shortcomings are immensely frustrating. Mainly, as other reviewers have already noted is that the day trips are difficult to plan and edit. Each edit creates a new trip. Also I keep on running into restrictions on what can be used as a starting point and find it difficult to customize my route. It also will not let me create a route between two different destinations. For example a morning in one city and then traveling to the next. It is mainly geared towards walking tours. The following features, offered by other apps, would be nice to see: Daily and weekly calendar grid views to gauge time and drive times between attractions. Desktop support via web browser-it is hard to do everything I want to in the app, sometimes I need a computer to see the big picture (and to see a bigger picture!). If it could sync with the app that would make it easier to use. Currency conversion Please invest more time into this app. It has so much potential.
Useless Rather Quickly
by HeadTripper on 2018/07/15 18:07
I downloaded this app based on a recommendation on a travel blog. I created my trip, but very quickly found that the search engine for particular destinations did not recognize towns that I am staying in hotels in. So, right away the trip planner is useless because there are large gaps. I searched Google maps for these towns missing in the app and they were on google maps as were the hotels. One would thing if it was in google maps, then it would be in the google trip app. App is not ready for prime time - unless you are going to a big, popular destination.

Would be great to be able to share trips.
Great start
by fuirious on 2018/07/09 20:39
Just downloaded it and looks promising. I will love to receive notifications about my flights (check in, delays, gate, luggage belt), hotel check in/out times, time to leave to airport... Also a calendar style view that show my trip plan (different color for each city). Finally a Timeline view with all mu flights, hotels, trains, attractions...
Impotent
by Juxtapose7 on 2018/07/05 11:40
Planning a long and complicated trip from Newfoundland to Alabama. - it didn’t import any of my hotel or ferry reservations, despite forwarding twice. - it doesn’t access contacts to insert friends’ addresses, despite being pinned in my favorites. - when I tried to insert their addresses manually, it doesn’t recognize or find their US towns (yet found my Canadian town, population 200?) - I didn’t see any way to search for help in the app. I’m not sure what this app does correctly. I’m going back to Tripit.
Useless for vacation planning
by Rbpamom on 2018/07/03 17:26
Very disappointed with this app. If you are only going to stay at the destination where your plane is landing then this is the app for you. (I do have concerns about whether it will update your flight if you get an email about a change). If you were planning on driving around and staying at different places then save yourself the trouble and find another app. You would think that since Google already has a maps program you could actually plan a road trip in the app and be able to use Google trips for the actual trip that you are taking. Since you will need other apps to stay on top of your flight, hotels, and driving plans, there is no reason to bother with this app.
Make time available for hotel!
by Bonnie Love the freak on 2018/07/03 00:10
I absolutely that it pulls from my email! Just a minor suggestion. For the hotel is doesn’t allow you to use check in or check out time. It completely throws my Itinerary off. I’m super organized and I wanted to have all my info in a one stop shop. If you could change that. That would be awesome sauce!!
Not There Yet
by Wabygayle on 2018/06/30 12:27
Great concept, has real promise. However, no where close to being useful yet. Your plan integrates with nothing, you can’t share it with a spouse or travel partner. Absolutely no web interface, only app. I think the most amazing aspect about this app is that, for a google product that could be so easily integrated into your google life, it doesn’t do any of that. It’s a unitasker.
Don’t waste your time

As a gmail user I was enticed by advertising that this app could import my travel confirmation emails. Ah, nope. Fail. Totally useless.
Needs improvement
by Terlezki on 2018/06/27 21:27
It’s an interesting app, but very inconvenient. Would be better if day planner looked like a list of different places (still can’t get how to add a restaurant, for example) with a map. Download mode and the most of other features are great, btw.

Very poor user experience. I've never really had to Google how to use a Google product before. Which is a weird sentence now that I think about it.
Great For Travel Blogging
by Jordy & Mom on 2018/06/20 03:09
As a travel blogger, I have to say, “Thank You”. This app is a game changer 🙌🏻. I’m able to plan trips⛷✈️⛽️, save reservations🎟, add multiple destinations, bookmark locations 🌍/ restaurants 🍻around the areas I’m traveling too that I was to stop at, and I’m able to share all of this information with other people I’m traveling with so we are all on the same page every step of our trip!!❤️ There are two things that would be helpful for me and maybe others: 1. A built in trip expense tracker would be a game changer. It would be so nice if I could track what my trip costs are and see what I’ve spent on fuel, flights, food, hotels, entertainment exc. I know there are other apps available that have similar functionality, but having it all build into Google Trips would be ideal. 2. Having your Google Trips linked to Google Guides so you could leave reviews directly from Google Trips could be helpful. Only 4 stars for now but if u can add an expense tracker, you get 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟stars from me😉✈️!
My past trips
by DDSSKARL on 2018/06/14 21:02
First time when I downloaded this app 2 weeks a go, I was amazed to see that all my past trips saved and auto pulled from my gmail account. It was such a mind blowing, to the point that I didn’t even remember that I’ve visited these places and to finally recalled these past events I’ve been. I love it. But, now I am not able to see my past trips anymore.. I didn’t even do anything or change anything in my setup setting. My setting is perfectly fine and I even disabled the button to hide my past trips and still not showing anything. I have deinstalled and reinstalled and still not fixing problems. I gave up my hope... Please make my day and fix it... thank you for your awesome work and ideas. You guys are awesome!

by MomOf3xxx on 2018/06/14 01:38
Google, do not email me about your product, link me to the download page, allow me to download it then say I don’t have access yet and suggest I contact Google. That’s just rude. 0 stars... doesn’t work at all.

Not user friendly, I was looking for something to help keep track of places I wanted to go on our trip to Hawaii but this app is very confusing and just doesn’t seem to be what I’m looking for. I’m still not sure how I saved something to a favorite place or how to do it again..

This is the best and intelligent app for planning a trip. Google brand is the best !! Would like to see following features in future: 1. Weather predictions and updates for the destination for trip duration. 2. Things to visit or stop overs for food or gas on the way in case of road trip(some sort of integration with google maps) 3. A checklist and reminder a day before journey to carry important things like car charger, fill the fuel tank, carry passport, tickets, umbrella, raincoats etc I know Google can do this..
Reservations gone
by Beingherenowzzz on 2018/06/08 13:24
This should be a great app, but Google, you’re not there yet. Reservations came over from my gmail, then days later just disappeared. Re-entered them all manually, just to have them gone again the next day, both on iPad and android phone. Boo!

It has SO much potential, but lacks severely!
by evesanz on 2018/05/31 04:11
Let me start with that I LOVE THE POTENTIAL of this app! Here are some issues that I'm having and I would deeply appreciate it if someone could advise me on how to work around these challenges. 1. Pinning sights that show up on the app, but don't allow me to pin them on my Daily Plan for some reason. Then organizing my Daily Plans in the order I would like. 2. I'm having issues with it importing reservations that I forwarded to to my Gmail account. Ugh! 3. Removing Suggested Daily Plans that I'm not interested in. 4. Syncing the apps on my iPhone and iPad, and would love to be able to access it on my computer also. There's so much potential with this app that I would even be willing to PAY for it for all these fixes!!
Needs many improvements
by AliPSU on 2018/05/28 03:09
I was very excited to find this app but was quickly disappointed. Day trips are nearly impossible to plan using the app. New reservations/ reservation emails do not populate into existing trips. These two downfalls make the app impractical for ongoing vacation planning. Save yourself the trouble and skip this app for now. Hopefully google can make some adjustments to turn this into a quality product.

A nice clean looking Google style app, and well organized pages for multi-stop trips. I wish there was a calendar view for planning purposes, or sync with Google Calendar.
So much potential. But needs some basic features
by Testsjnfbfbrb on 2018/05/26 17:57
Thank you guys for making an awesome app, but it’s not usable yet. It needs a few more things 1. Flesh out reservations so I can add my itinerary. This was the reason I could not use the app, the magic planner was a waste because I could not add my already booked activities with tour guides. 2. Shares trips, no one travels alone that also needs to plan the itinerary to this level of detail. Shared trips are a must. Another nonstarter for me 3. Sync with google calendar. Seems pretty obvious to me. You guys are doing awesome, just needs some basic functionality to be useful.

Worthless app. I should have believed the previous low star reviews. I thought, "Oh these people are disgruntled about something, give it a try." Well, if they weren't disgruntled before trying this app, they would be afterwards. I am surprised Google even allowed their name on this app. Maybe their quality control people fell asleep and accidentally approved this app. I could not even make a plan with places that I know exist. I read a review that said you have to put places on your map first. Sort of defeats the purpose of this app, doesn't it. Once I'm in my map I can plan things out with pin drops. Discover places you say? I found more places by typing a query in the Map app than I did in the Trips app. Pull it from the app store. Save face and admit the pitch forth is app sounded good but the execution of the app is a disaster.

I was really excited to use this app to plan an upcoming trip and after a few hours of trying to navigate it I realize it’s not for me. There are design flaws such as the “day plan” feature not allowing you to create a plan of your own, but auto-generating plans with things not even on your saved items. You can’t click on a restaurant or place on the map and have it come up to save, but have to leave the map and search for it and THEN add it to your saved items. All in all a good concept but it just doesn’t work for me.
Is this app a competitor of Trip Advisor?
by Al@a2 on 2018/05/23 16:03
If so it’s up to that standard 😳 This Google app is either the most useless or the most difficult to search. The on-line/FB ad said I could find cheap flights on the site BUT I don’t see where or how. I have traveled in 26 countries, 14 in the last 5 years using various apps for flights and hotels but so far I find this one useless.☹️
Must have for travellers
by Tikyo Salas on 2018/05/17 17:51
I only travel a couple of times a year so I can go months without using this app. When I do though, Google trips is indispensable. It collates (almost) all of the travel related info I receive and makes them easy to access.
Not google worthy
by Love this but I want cars on 2018/05/16 01:03
Google. Try TripIt or buy the company. That app is superior. If it were integrated into Google Trips, then we’d have a real app. Until then, this app is a sales pitch for various travel sites under the Google umbrella...

by vdumlao on 2018/10/15 12:26
I downloaded this app thinking that with Google’s exhaustive database of maps and other information, I could put together a detailed “daily plan” of sites-to-see and places to stay for my upcoming trip, but it just falls short.
Good Concept but Needs Improment
by Yingh on 2018/01/27 22:38
I was excited to try out this APP, hoping this will be my one stop for all travel planning. There are a few things I like: it pulls in reservations from gmail, provides basic info about my destinations, and allows me to save places to google map. However, some improvements are seriously overdue, especially for the “Day Plans” feature: 1. Most recommended day plans are impractical by routing you back and forth in the city 2. Same goes for the magic wand feature - the results can be crazy 3. So I started to create my own day plan. That’s when things really go wild. Every time I add or remove a point of interest, the order of the route will be automatically reshuffled. Yes I can chose a new starting point, but that means more automatic shuffling. There is no way for me to plan my day to visit the places i choose, in the order I want. 4. When I click “edit” in a previously created day plan, it is automatically saved as a new plan, even if it is identical as the previous one. Please let me save the same plan. 5. Day plans customized on iPad do not show up on iPhone, although I log in using the same account 6. Not all attractions are available for day plan - they are on the map but there are no blue dots for those to be added to the plan 7. Some new reservations are not pulled in from gmail. Please make this a better tool!
Save yourself the headache
by mcclia40 on 2018/02/14 07:31
By far the most frustrating app I've ever tried to use. I'm going somewhere I'm already familiar with but would like to plan my days. But none of places I want to go to are even listed. Turns out, you have to add them from the maps app. How'd I find this out? In the "help" option?! Nope. Only way to discover this is through frustration, trial, and error. Then, when I want to add those places to plan my day, they just sit there as saved places. You can tap on them and get info, even get a blue pin. But none of them can be added to your day. Then when you try to just let the app decide what to do, it limits you to a couple of entirely impractical options. So just unpin and select a new one, huh? "Sorry, this cannot be removed from your day." Really? You're gonna force me to go to the children's museum? As an app, you can do that? I can't go to my grandma's house but by all means, tell me what my day *should* look like. I trust you implicitly, pointless app. Ugh, such a waste of time.
Not flexible and incredibly frustrating
by wendolynaragon on 2018/04/15 06:06
I’ve been using Sygic Travel and it’s a great app for creating an itinerary, but it doesn’t always include updated information and if you need to add anything, say restaurants, there’s no way to categorize them. So I was really looking forward to seeing if Google Trips could get it right. Unfortunately, it’s more of a guide book than a trip planner. You can’t actually customize it to include your hotel, restaurants, or anything else not tagged in their map. And what makes that even more frustrating is that there is the “customize” option, which again adds places into your itinerary and then rearranges them whenever you add anything else. So if you’re looking for a travel guide that plans the day for you, this will work. But if you’re a planner at heart like I am, stick with an app like Sygic.
LOVE all my trip data in one place!
by Allison V on 2017/12/15 19:59
For an big upcoming trip, this app automatically organizes all of my trip data, reservation confirmations and saved places, all in one nifty app! I absolutely love the download for offline mode and sharing itineraries with family members. However, particularly with Airbnb, I have had reservations show up as duplicates due to a confirmation email and then subsequent itinerary email. I really wish there was a way to remove just one of these duplicate reservations, since I have so many and can’t handle that many extras in my itineraries list. Though I love the additional capability of being able to ADD a reservation that currently isn’t supported, such as spa or boat tour reservations.
Not exhaustive or accurate
by Babsporty on 2018/02/23 19:57
I used this for a short trip with family to discover places to eat and things to do. It seems to pull in a very limited selection of both. I can’t quite figure it out - maybe only places with google reviews? Oddly, the app doesn’t let you submit reviews from within so I don’t know if an intern designed this or what. I was disappointed it wouldn’t map out some cool places to stop on our drive either, I had to get another app for that. Definitely doesn’t show all of the available food and drink options, there were cool, established places that didn’t come up as suggestions at all. Plus the open hours on the state park we tried to visit were so wrong (park is actually closed for the winter season). Thanks to this app my family’s trip was kind of a bust and ended with my daughter crying as we got on the road home, early.

Downloaded today and was amazed when I saw that all of my upcoming travel reservations (and past ones too) had been automatically imported from my email. Nifty! When I went to download the three legs of my trip (Rome, Florence, Venice) - it downloaded Rome and Venice easily and quickly. Then hung for eternity on the middle leg of my trip - Florence. Bummer. I tried restarting my phone and toggling the download button on and off and on again - same result. Double bummer. Can’t find anyone to actually contact at Google and the Trips help section doesn’t address my issue. I’m wondering if it’s because the dates overlap on that middle leg while I move from one city to another? Looks like I might have to try a different app.

I really like the suggestions and information about local spots that I wouldn’t have found on my own. One thing I wish this app could do, is allow two people to log into the same trip to and plan together. My friend and I have each purchased parts of our trip and have reservations and info in our own gmail accounts that we would like to add to the trip. Without the ability to link, this is challenging. I also echo some of the other issues people stated about planning a day and the weird shuffling that the map does.
Needs to allow sharing with others
by Amyofoz on 2018/04/01 17:20
Searching things to do and places to visit is really easy. Makes it very difficult, if not impossible to share and collaborate on this trip with others. I’m not going on a trip alone, so it would be nice if Google recognized this and allowed me to share the itinerary with my trip mates. Also I would like easier integration with AirBnB reservations. I understand google doesn’t make money off of my airBnB reservations, but still would be nice.
Missing some of the basics
by where is my next trip? on 2018/05/02 18:53
I love google products so I am giving it a try after years of loyalty to tripcase. So far, i found it missing a more comprehensive snapshot of the trip timeline which is a must for this type if app. By this, I mean a timeline with essentials as times, gates, and status for flights, and check in/out times and addresses for hotel reservations. Does not recognize and it does not allow to add ferry confirmation, or combinations of them with bus. If google manage to add them, I’ll change the review or write another one but for now they started behind from what it is already out there
No sharing feature
by Jgdsfnyy on 2018/07/27 20:47
I was so excited for this app to plan my family trip.
Very glitchy. Come on this is Google, not Windows 95
by andreykrasilnikov on 2018/05/08 09:00
I like the idea of keeping all your travel info together. Because you may have booked your flights/hotels/events on different websites. And it works beautifully, it even tells you about flight delays and gates. FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS. I have been using his app for two years and for the entire two years all of my future reservations have been CONSISTENTLY deleted a few days after add them to the list. This makes this app practically unusable - do not rely on it to store important trip information, better use old fashioned notes
Great App
by Pjrboyle on 2018/04/27 18:47
Provides easy access to a wealth of info on the places where you are and where you want to go. Links to maps, videos, & photos, with info on times open and descriptions of sights & links to restaurants, museums, and lots of other activities. The App also finds and organizes all your travel info - hotel, flight, restaurant, and other reservations and displays a summary of all past trips. It’s a great App.
Good start, but could use some improvements
by shoepirate on 2017/09/23 08:39
This app is a good start, but needs some work. If you can get the Day Plans to work, it's useful, but I found it hard to use. You can't just add a place to a day plan. It would also be useful to see your trips as place to save to when searching in Google instead of having to just star it. If you save to a list in Google, it doesn't appear in Google Trips. Would also love to add other travelers so we could share places and day plans.
Great concept but...
by SlowOkie on 2018/04/16 00:01
I was excited about this app when I started planning my trip. I had notes scratched on paper and pinned on Pinterest and saved in bookmarks, but this app made saving the places I want to go so much easier! But, one of my notes includes a specialty yarn store and I can’t find a way to add it to my trip. Since I know the yarn store is on Google Maps, I’m truly surprised I can’t add it to my trip. Maybe I am missing something obvious. If I figure out how to do it I will change my rating.
Needs work
by kareneyre on 2018/04/19 16:30
I really wanted to like this app but it needs some work. I love the functionality of most google apps for their ease of use but I was really frustrated by this one. The day trip planner is where all of my anger is aimed. I want to decide where to go and the order I go there but this app keeps rearranging and adding other places. There are also some small food places I wanted to stop that won’t register as a place to visit. It’s great to store basic info but if you want to set your own plan use something else.
All in one
by RedHotChiliPepperssss on 2017/09/10 16:27
This is exactly what my wife and I were looking for, and the fact that it's integrated with Gmail is so so nice. We're planning a long term trip together and this is just what we needed. My only request would be to somehow make trips collaborative, right now my wife and I both sign into one account in order to plan together.
So much potential
by Lrnmn on 2018/03/09 19:02
Ugh I’m so disappointed, had really high hopes from this app but after downloading it and trying to see all my reservations for my upcoming trip to Japan I realized I can only see the flights and one hotel reservations. It didn’t automatically add the Airbnb ressy I had, none of the restaurants and none of the attractions we booked. If I wanted to see my hotel and flight reservations I would have just opened my inbox, I don’t need another app for that. Would have been great to have the option to add reservations through a specific email instead of typing in the name/address etc. Another annoying thing is that I can see all my bookmarks and hotels marked on in a map. Jeez google, you can do better, I know you already know everything about me, now is the time to actually use this data.
Decent Start
by Jeverha on 2018/01/25 21:45
I love the concept and idea of having all of my trip info in one place. However, I found the app overbearing it what it suggests for you to do. The Day Trip portion and confusing and when you are trying to plan your own day the Google recommended stuff keeps showing up. It’d also be great if in the food section you could look up restaurants and save them instead of, again, being told where to eat. Great start but lacking in being user friendly.
Great job at capturing end users world
by CalizFinest213 on 2017/10/17 04:33
I am on the older side of Millennial and appreciate fluid easy navigation. The experience is good. Google is best at capturing the users life and surrounding them with meaningful data that makes life easier. I am all about it, nothing scary they just make relevant information pertaining to the end user more accessible.
Love it!
by nathanbgerman on 2018/12/07 02:18
I don’t understand why this app has so many negative reviews. As someone who travels a lot, this app is very helpful. It automatically keeps all my flight information and hotel reservations in one easily accessible place so I don’t have to go digging through emails searching for it later.
Looking Forward to Improvements
by Jennifear on 2018/02/15 16:17
The concept here is beautiful, but the follow through isn’t there. My biggest issue is that I can’t share the day plans or reservations with anybody, so the whole point of me downloading this app so I could help my family plan our trip is moot. However, I see what they want to do with it & I’m excited to see what a few updates and bug fixes will improve.
Good - keep the improvements coming
by Frequent Traveler USA on 2017/11/10 15:57
I like the trip planning feature - can you add the ability to have another person - with a google account - the ability to view or edit the trip - and sync between devices?
Amazing but...
by dnlrva on 2018/07/30 23:01
It needs the ability to add a user to your planned trip so your entire party can plan together. Maybe even have notifications when a user changes a detail or adds a detail. I don't know you're Google so I'm so you know what you are doing. Anyways great app just needs that one little but major feature.
Like it but needs a lot of improvements
by Padosan on 2018/03/03 20:59
I love this app but I gave it a two star because I expect google service to have more functionality. Tripit has tons of features that google trips still needs to implement. In reservations, there is no area where I can add attractions tickets purchased online. I would have loved to use the app when I can start the app when I leave for my trip and follow thru my schedule all day thruout the trip.
Must have for travellers
by Tikyo Salas on 2018/05/17 17:51
I only travel a couple of times a year so I can go months without using this app. When I do though, Google trips is indispensable. It collates (almost) all of the travel related info I receive and makes them easy to access.
Needs Work
by CodingAnarchy on 2018/02/23 08:23
The day plan feature is exactly what I was looking for that no one else seems to have. But I can’t edit the plans to add a stop, nor does it seem to always come up with a sensible itinerary of events. Some sights and attractions are not selectable, nor are general areas (like Chinatown in Manhattan). If this could be made more user friendly and useful, maybe I wouldn’t have to use pen and paper to plan my next trip the hard way.
All good but.....
by Gkdc7239 on 2017/09/13 01:39
..... there is no way of sharing the itinerary with others. The app isn't as intuitive. Once I got a trip set up, I tried to share it with people going on the trip but without success. The app has so much potential. But until improvements are made, I am still using numbers/excel to plan my trips.

It is just a request to kindly develop a google flights for ios as well.

by uni1q73us3r on 2018/12/15 20:56
I can’t edit the image, big no. It’s only pulling half the itinerary, so my outgoing flight isn’t even listed. I could add it, but then what’s the point of this app?

USELESS
by Cubelicious on 2018/12/02 03:42
It does not let you share itinerary (day plans) with your travel partners.

Incorporates airfare and hotel information. Days plans are amazing as well for discovering what to do!

More?
by Jeff Schwandt on 2018/09/01 12:54
Google Trips helps you discover places to go & things to do, at the destination of your trip.

No way to collaborate!!
by vaguerizing on 2018/08/11 17:08

App is not ready for prime time - unless you are going to a big, popular destination.

by fuirious on 2018/07/09 20:39
Just downloaded it and looks promising.
It’s a unitasker.

by Terlezki on 2018/06/27 21:27
It’s an interesting app, but very inconvenient. Would be better if day planner looked like a list of different places (still can’t get how to add a restaurant, for example) with a map. Download mode and the most of other features are great, btw.

You guys are awesome!
...you do not have access yet...
by MomOf3xxx on 2018/06/14 01:38
Google, do not email me about your product, link me to the download page, allow me to download it then say I don’t have access yet and suggest I contact Google. That’s just rude. 0 stars... doesn’t work at all.

Disappointed 😢
by I hate making reviews138569 on 2018/05/24 01:25
I was really excited to use this app to plan an upcoming trip and after a few hours of trying to navigate it I realize it’s not for me.

Wasted bandwidth

Disappointed
by MelzieC on 2017/11/22 03:32
Downloaded today and was amazed when I saw that all of my upcoming travel reservations (and past ones too) had been automatically imported from my email.
Fantastic App
by religareCustomer on 2018/06/13 05:04
This is the best and intelligent app for planning a trip.
Disappointed 😢
by I hate making reviews138569 on 2018/05/24 01:25
I was really excited to use this app to plan an upcoming trip and after a few hours of trying to navigate it I realize it’s not for me.
Almost There
by distant_shore on 2018/03/10 01:48
I really like the suggestions and information about local spots that I wouldn’t have found on my own.
