Super Versatile and Convenient!
by therealkevinli on 2020/10/17 00:50
This is a great app for helping you get familiar with Uke, Guitar, and Piano chords. I like how you can slow down songs to 1/4 the speed as well as speed songs up to 2x It’s a great app. The free tier is great and it’s well worth paying for premium too.
Breakthrough!
by Al from Daybreak 77 on 2020/10/11 19:57
For many years, I had to listen to the 45, the album, the 8 track, the CD, the audio file and painstakingly decipher the chords. With Chordify, I am so pleased with the ease of getting the basic chords for songs I’ve wanted to play for years! Thanks!
Awesome app

The Best App ever created!!!

Being able to play guitar & piano through this incredible app Chordify has truly changed my life! You are my Pandora’s box to all songs, and I will be forever grateful for your creation! Thank you for being my lifeline to have the ability to play new and old songs without having a teacher. Chordify was my therapy before the pandemic, during & will be after. Most calming & enjoyable thing I can do with my spare time! I tell all those around me who play music about it, and will continue to do so! Thank you for making my life so much brighter! 🎼🎹🎸
Great app, but I hope you like emails
by Clay Dennis on 2020/10/04 14:44
I enjoyed the app immensely, but then I realized that every time saved a song or like something, I got an snail congratulating me with a badge or a level or something. I spent 15 minutes on the app and got 10 emails. You are also subject to ads, even though you pay for the upgraded version. They get paid on both ends and you’re paying to be advertised to. Deleted after only a few minutes.
Good app but needs updates
by Lexi Crawford on 2020/10/03 01:32
I did a trial for this app and really used it for the week to see everything it offers. It’s great that the chords are in tune with the original song which you can play along to while video is playing. And you can print out song that includes chords and has chord names above. But what it’s really missing is the words to the song when you want to play along with print out or while following on app. That’s a biggie. Also while the chords are correct per se it doesn’t give you the more detailed chord such as sus, add, 9, Etc so again it’s the basic chord. Which is ok but if I want to learn how to Play the song I do want actual chords played by band. Also it expensive for the lack of these details and for an app like this. I get more on other apps for So much less $$$$. But lack of lyrics is huge!!!!
How is this helpful?
by Gparker546 on 2020/09/30 19:04
In what universe is a chord layout like this helpful? No lyrics. No context for the structure of the song. Can’t play at the musicians own pace. I have no idea how to use this...

I’ve been playing guitar for 5 years now so all the songs I know I looked up and EVERY when I say ever I mean ALL OF THEM were not accurate. AT ALL. not a good way to learn ur favorite songs. You have a better chance on YouTube.
Awesome!!!!
by trappedinva on 2020/09/18 21:30
Why did no one tell me about this? As a beginner it was so easy to slow on the hard chords and this keeps the song movin. In two weeks I’ve gotten better than I have in two years.

Very unhappy with this app
by dghill0001 on 2020/09/03 21:59
I paid for an annual membership and is I want to see the sheet music for an actual dong I have to pay an additional membership fee. I feel like I was robbed with the initial membership and do not recommend this app. All you get for your membership fee are the actual chords. Not the sheet music or the notes, just the chords. What a rip-off.

Best app to learn my favorite songs I was getting tired of watching YouTube videos over and over again this is just the best thing I found on the App Store 🔥
Complications
by matie73 on 2020/08/19 03:30
I used to love the app, but the new updated is lessening it quality. I don’t know exactly what happened, but now, when I try to plan a song the video, that usually stays down in the right corner, is popping up into fullscreen, making it unable for me to see the chords I am suppose to play. And when I try take the video out of fullscreen it stops the song.
YouTube videos on full screen
by caPIWA on 2020/08/19 02:54
Had this app for a while now and I love the feature where you can play the YouTube video and see the chords at the same time. For some reason, whenever I try playing the song, the video goes into full screen completely taking out the chords that I need to see. Don't know if it's glitching or not but please fix!
Amazing
by anytime 2020 on 2020/08/19 02:40
If you have any guitar skills or none at all this app gives you the song the beat and the chords all in one I've learned over 50 songs in one string now I have to memorize all the chords and songsanytime
Great but..
by NCT Protection Squad on 2020/08/19 02:37
Alright I absolutely love this app but recently it keeps opening the YouTube video and I can’t see the chords. I don’t know if this can be fixed in settings but I deleted the app and I’m going to try again. It’s very upsetting. But overall I have learned a couple of songs from this app.
Can’t look at chords and listen at the same time
by trctrctrctrctrc on 2020/08/19 02:35
Video always maximizes when you hit play. Either a bug or a really bad UX decision.

Nothing special, extremely basic chords
by ukeebee on 2020/07/25 19:04
Was originally pretty excited about app and from reviews. However after downloading it— it isn’t good and is limited in the “chords” they do provide. The app provide extremely watered down versions of chords and misses other ones entirely that you can easily hear in the song. A song that may have original chords as C6 Gsus4 C9 Fmaj7 gets watered down to C-G-C-F. Which is I guess technically correct if you are just wanting to play the root of the chord but if you actually want to play the song you’re listening to, then I’d suggest using another app. Or even googling it. Definitely not worth a penny.
Why the account?
by TheChickenFajita on 2020/07/20 20:17
Does it work well? Sure, it's ok I guess. I used it for a while, but the latest update requires me to make a free account when this was required beforehand. Making an account gives no benefit whatsoever, and only enforces the 3 songs a day limit. I used to love using this app, but I'll be looking elsewhere for chords now.
Love it

So Much Potential but Garbage App
by Hey_itsDASH on 2020/07/05 14:34
One of the biggest pet peeve’s I have is the screen sensitivity. When I’m scrolling through a song it’ll instantly play even when I don’t want it to. It’s super annoying so I downloaded another app to help me with chords. There needs to be a locking system made in place so I can look through and study the song. Every time I touch the screen the song jumps when I don’t intend it to and I hate it. When I “favorite” something it disappears. Its absolutely frustrating.
I love it!

Why are you posting the wrong chords for black artists?
by A Melanated Individual on 2020/06/29 16:40
I’ve gone through Kendrick Lamar, Damian Marley Jaden Smith and Now Erykah badu. I’ve had to sync the chord progressions myself by writing the notes down that actually fit the song. That’s even happened when I tried learning Thousand Miles. There’s not even an option to report the songs that do that. You should fix that before giving yourself a +4 star rating.

Upgrades
by jramevale on 2020/06/27 03:23
The keys/chords it list on most videos are okay, however, is not great or prefect. When you want to print chords is just the chords and not the lyrics. When one selects the option to change the key either higher or lower it does it however if you try to follow along the video you playing is out of pitch. Meaning it will not sound right. Would be nice to be able to change pitch while changing keys to be able to follow along. Also why not give the option to be able to print with the lyrics. One last note is that you can add favorites but you can not organize them by any way. It would be nice to be able to have playlist and rate songs and be able to categorize songs for example song list 1 for a church member that needs to practice certain songs and so for. A lot of improvement to be done app is good but could be great especially since it’s a subscription based. Hope you take the tips, thanks.

by peopleaser on 2020/06/04 02:29
I got this app probably about a week ago. It stared out great, and I actually learned a few songs on my piano that YouTube didn’t offer, and I was ecstatic that there was such an easy alternative. Then, a few days ago, all the sudden the app totally crashed, nothing is working, I can’t play the song. I can see the chords alright, my problem is that I don’t know when I’m supposed to play the chords in time with my voice, which this app is supposed to do for me. What’s disappointed is it didn’t used to be like this and now I don’t know how to fix it. ??? Very frustrating! Is it because I don’t have premium? If so, then this app is a huge waist of time. Definitely would have been a 5 star review if the app worked the way it is supposed to. very disappointed and most likely will delete if I can figure this out in the next few days. :((((
Good Not Great
by SoulChris15 on 2020/06/02 18:08
Great song library. Unfortunately it’s too hard to follow without lyrics to accompany on more complicated songs. The Tabs app has better functionality but fewer songs.
Hours of enjoyment
by TLaz on 2020/05/30 05:53
I picked up the ukulele about 3 months ago and now I can type a song in and get the notes to play just about any song. People think I’m a genius but the app is just that easy. I can now play 25-30 songs in the short 90 day period.
It was better before you were forced to download the app
by NICK NAME BRUH on 2020/05/29 20:23
The website was much better before you were forced to get the app, and plus the chords sound off. When I changed the chords to piano on the website, it was fine, but now it won’t let you do that unless you download the app. So I did but now the chords are changed and different when I learned them.
Absurdly expensive
by AGHHHHHHHHJJHHHHHGH on 2020/05/29 06:14
Charging a monthly subscription fee is absurd—I’d rather pay an upfront fee than watch chordify tout their « free » app on their website, and then download only to realize that by free they mean free to download and little else. I can’t stop video playback or change the volume without having an expensive membership? I think I’d rather figure out the chords myself than pay $80/year to have someone give them to me in an unfortunately un-user and un-wallet friendly manner.

by daisygirlfourteen on 2020/05/27 00:15
So I have limits on apps from my parents wanting me to be off my phone, which is ok, but this isn’t an app I use just to mess around. I want to learn an instrument and with the limits on ‘entertainment’ type apps, I can only be on this app for half an hour. That’s not helpful, idk. Would you please change it to ‘teaching’? Idk if you can, but it is a teaching app and it’s be lovely to work with it more, since it’s such an amazing app otherwise. Thank you! Plz read

Not good
by AngryRussian999 on 2020/04/30 16:51
Chords usually sound off or just wrong in the context of the song. Chords are also off tempo and don’t correspond with the actual song half the time. Cool concept, but it just doesn’t work out. Better off just looking at chords online.

Poorly executed
by Katie.Killjoy on 2020/04/16 20:45
I see a lot of people complaining about the paywall, which is a bit annoying, but what I don’t like is the way it makes you view the chords. I don’t want to have to follow along with the song playing, I just want to see what the chords are and where they are in relation to the words. The format of Ultimate Guitar Tabs is better, and I recommend using that instead. Chordify does have some of the lesser known songs, and I would be fine with it if I could see all the chords and the words to the song together as opposed to just seeing the chords a few bars at a time.

I learned to play piano using this app. I have learned 150+ songs in the 3 years or so I’ve been using this app. It’s a great way to give yourself small, achievable goals and learn to play an instrument one song at a time. Each new song will likely add a few new chords and after learning about 30-40 songs I had encountered every major and minor chord and become comfortable with them. Now, after 150+ songs, I have picked up a lot of music theory as well and been able to apply those tools to my own songwriting. I will note that this is not always accurate. It’s actually not too uncommon to encounter the wrong chords being given. But since you are playing along with the actual track, it is pretty easy to notice the spots where the chords are wrong. This can be a negative, however I feel that these occasional errors have helped improve playing by ear. The chords are usually right enough to orient you in a key, and if a chord here and there is wrong, you can figure out what’s needed by ear. Overall, great app! I’m sure I wouldn’t be at the level I’m at on piano without it!
Really unique and useful app!

I love this app! Love that it shows chord finger diagrams for piano too. Love love love! Very happy and impressed I am. Not many other chord/tab apps support piano. I continually use this app to learn new songs everyday! Its surprising still that so many songs are chordified! And even multiple different live versions of the songs are chordified! That is impressive. And thank you to all that have contributed to chordify songs. Sure, not all songs are accurate, but there are so many other versions of the song to pick from. So it's all good. I have no complaints. In fact, it encourages me to chordify some songs that I know that aren't chordified yet. My only suggestion to the developers is: please add a feature that will allow the app to automatically pull up the song that is currently playing in my Apple Music. That would be very helpful and time-saving. Thank you!

Chordify is a music app that fies chords. Hence, Chordify. Henceforth, whence thou needeth many chords at your digit tips, the Chordify engine will crank out some letters with symbols like #, or b, or it might even have the elusive add9 or sus4. Now you’ll be able to play “All by myself “ for that beautiful young lady and you’ll no longer be “All by yourself.” You gots a hunny now you sneaky dog. BUT! NOT only will the app find your chords immediately, the app has a keyboard that gives you the ability to play the keyboard with many sounds. Like a synth pad or electric piano. There are so many more sounds. What I want to say is to convince or give you a little push to get the app: of all my wonderful music apps and synthesizers and what not, if I could only keep 3 apps on my phone, Chordify would be right in there. 5 stars yes!
Upgrades

Good app. Lots of fun. Room for improvement.

I have really enjoyed using Chordify to help me learn to play the guitar. I am modifying my previous review because as time has moved on, this app has not. It seems the developers have ignored their supporters. Multiple requests have been made to fix the issue in the IOS app where the app fails to return to the last song selected but goes to the end of the 25 song buffer that is programmed in. I can’t imagine this to be a difficult fix, but the request to do so has continually been ignored. The ability to sort and store one’s library has also been ignored. They continue to want renewal fees, but have failed miserably to update their app. Another year, and still no significant changes to the functionality of the app. It is difficult to manage the personal library. Editing in the IOS app has issues too.
Wow!
by eNARCIEM on 2019/04/05 03:15
For someone just screwing around with an ukulele they found left in a park, this app has helped to boost my instrumental ability. The format is pretty user friendly, and while you don’t absolutely need all the premium features, I’m honestly contemplating paying for them! What you get off the bat are the essentials to learn with scrolling chord charts and timing squares. I would probably suggest setting the chord charts as the default, because they initially have just chord names, but you can change the setting if you’re not already familiar with them. And the fact you can look up anything that’s a music video and this app analyzes and breaks it down for you is AWESOME!!!
Terrible app, it doesn’t work
by Cable-less person on 2018/06/23 19:11
Changing my original 2 stars to 1 star. App misses obvious chords, leaves blank measures. Messes up the rhythm, in particular at beginning of songs. Gets other chord change wrong. This app does not do what it claims to do. Period. ———————-original rating below—————— Not impressed so far I am sure it is very difficult to program this type of app, but the accuracy of the cords is pretty low. Too low to be really useable in my opinion. The app program also seems to get confused by timing. Example, I was looking for the Al Jarreau version of Since I fell For You, clearly in 4/4 time and the app for some reason thinks it is 3/4 time. Additionally it appears the only chords it can find are 135 major and 135 minor chords. No major 7, no major 6, no diminished, etc. Far too basic for real music. As a novelty this app is fun, but as a really usable app tool for generating the correct chords to a song, not so much. Hopefully there will be improvements in the future.
Too many bugs to count. Nonfunctional service.
by Baron Mojohito on 2017/09/10 23:23
This is a great concept, but almost every part of the execution is nonfunctional due to bugs. Every song I import gives a message "Chordify is out of tune." Which I guess is a cute indirect way of saying "this app is buggy". I was eventually able to upload my songs through the website, but each one stalled several times. Once converted, the timing is way off. It's almost comical listening to the chords on top of the music. It's almost exactly a beat behind, so the chords come crashing in a moment too late. I don't mind that it's not very accurate; the conversion is close enough I can figure it out, so kudos for that. I try to share the chords, but the person on the other end just sees a "page cannot be displayed" error. Useless. So I'm taking screenshots and texting them instead. I've received other errors too, like a message that I can't upload more songs because I've reached the limit. But when I try again it uploads fine. But then, as I mentioned before, it stalls or gives an error during the conversion process. This is all happening with a premium account, by the way. I've contacted their tech support about these issues. If they can resolve them, I'll update my review to reflect that. I really want it to work!

Offline mode doesn't work
by tino223 on 2019/03/18 05:04
I love this app and have found it to be really helpful in learning to play the bass guitar. At the same time, I am really frustrated that offline mode doesn't work. Chordify won't play music files that reside on my iPad Air 2 unless I am online. I have provided screen prints and system logs to the developer. They tell me that the problem has only been reported on a very few devices. They don't seem to know the cause. I have offered to run whatever tracing/diagnostic tools they may wish to provide to better isolate the problem. But it just doesn't seem to be a priority to them. As a former software developer myself, I can't understand this attitude. If something is broken ... you figure out what the problem is and fix it. It's having pride in what you do.
Too Expensive - Great App
by Riskylooks on 2018/04/12 15:19
I have been using this app since the free version. It is an excellent app for finding music for your favorite songs. However, a monthly subscription fee is absurd. I have noted the trend now by app developers is to attach a monthly fee for use of their app. I would rather pay for the app and use it at my discretion. This is greed and a ripoff. How much money do you think the average aspiring musician has laying around? Nearly a $100 per year for use of this app is consumer a consumer heist. I am extremely disappointed developers have chosen this route.
They just want your money
by LeonitusOrlandoHarveySoupTent on 2018/03/21 23:04
It wasn’t long ago I could easily use my phone or tablet to play songs using their actual website...Now all of a sudden everything is different and buggy and doesn’t work....so I download the app like they want me to, but OF COURSE there has to be a monthly fee in order to even see all of the chords in a song. A song that I’ve used their website before to play, for free, but now they want money every month for....its sad and ridiculous, I just want to play my ukulele without a monetary attachment is that so much to ask? Ugh. And they even say that the app makes learning songs “10x easier” HAHA yeah, it’s actually 100x harder to use their program than it was 6 months ago. Very disappoint. Sometimes things change for the worse and this is a prime example.
???
by Savannah A M on 2019/06/20 02:19
I am confused, someone told me this app rocks, and they play a piano, and I do too. But I don’t understand because it plays as a guitar, and I want it as the piano, and I can change it to a piano, but how they told me it was easy to use, but for me it does not seem to be easy. (And not to be rude but she is... dumb....) and she can’t play piano at all, and I can play, but still, I don’t how to do it. And I don’t know how to come up for the piano part of a song I made, and they said it makes up or helps with a song they are making, but it doesn’t do that, it only tells you how to play a song that is already made up. Sorry that this makes no sense, but I don’t know how to word it at all!
This app is a JOKE!!!! Use the website instead
by friendly cuntsumer on 2020/03/07 06:43
at first glance the website for Chordify was really cool so when I saw that they had an app I was more than happy to download it but whenever I search a song up nothing ever comes up But on the website, it’s fine I know the rating contradicts the review but this is the only way to make people see this considering when I went to see if anyone was having the saving problem as me I only got to see five star ratings.
Eh it’s alright
by gracefularden on 2018/12/14 17:38
It has some issues but it’s the best app for playing songs you like. some issues: There’s only a limited number of songs/videos that come up when you search. Also when you search, you’ll get the “oops” message that comes up whether you’re connected to the internet or not. It’s frustrating. It goes away when you click retry, but sometimes you have to click it several times for something to show up. When you try to remove a song from your history, it also takes several tries to click the three dots at the corner because it keeps clicking on the song instead.

I love this app and use it all the time. Every once it awhile it will act kind of jittery though and it’s frustrating. For instance sometimes when I’m scrolling through my favorites and choose a song, when I exit out it scrolls me ALL THE WAY back to the top. Not a huge deal but I do have over 200 songs saved and it definitely is an inconvenience. Also sometimes when I favorite a song it doesn’t show up in my library even after I go back and make sure I have favorited it. Other than that great app and super helpful!
Change the type?
by daisygirlfourteen on 2020/05/27 00:15
So I have limits on apps from my parents wanting me to be off my phone, which is ok, but this isn’t an app I use just to mess around. Thank you! Plz read
Terrible App
by I dknt reccomend this app. on 2019/05/02 06:09
This app always has missing and wrong chords. I’ve also find this out, Im on an iPhone 7 Plus fyi. If you search up a song, the top result will take about 5-8 minutes, all the others work just fine, I hate my experience on this app and before I figured out that little top result glitch I was almost pushed to snapping my phone in half, thanks Chordify, I now have a damaged phone from all the times I’ve thrown it with no case!
I don’t have a title 😐
by BLINK 💓 on 2019/01/09 22:59
I gave it a 4 because I am just a beginner pianist and I have no money to pay for the premier. My parents wanted me to learn the piano to play at our church. I can’t do anything other than just playing along with, which is great but I need to learn more. I hope there can be piano lessons too or how memorize the notes faster or something to help students like me learn how to play faster and better in like 3 months. But this app has helped me a lot. I searched everywhere for it. Thank you foe making this app.
The best app I've ever bought
by puppyluv27 on 2017/10/26 05:55
You will not regret getting a subscription to this app. I can't play by ear but there are so many songs I want to play and can't find chords for online. Now I can play anything, change the key to suit me better and already written out for me? How could it be any better? Thank you Chordify you have no idea how much I appreciate your app. I'll gladly pay premium!
Chords in app
by Voicepkeys on 2019/04/28 05:58
Although the app does not get every particular chord right, it does just enough for you to figure out the chords on your own. If you have been playing for a while and you hear a new song that your stuck on this app will give you an idea where to start. You might have to transition the keys on the diagram to get the right sound but it is worth downloading. I don’t recommend this for beginners but more for people who have been playing for about 4-9 months depending on how fast of a learner you are. But, every time I get on this app I learn a song.
Really cool but needs some work
by EricAJr93 on 2020/03/28 22:17
I love the idea behind this and overall I think Chordify does a great job delivering what it promises. However there’s one issue with the interface that I find truly annoying. I wish there was a way to just see all the chord diagrams without having to scroll through the song. It would be great to see them all laid out with how to play them and not have to hit pause every time I want to look at a different one. I’m not good enough to just know how to play those chords and Chordify’s current set up frustrating.
Why???
by evelyn_faith.76 on 2018/01/15 23:48
I at first loved it, I could slow my songs down and change keys and turn the sound off, and now it’s telling me I have to pay for it. Excuse me? I got the app for free so I could play for free, and now I can’t. This was such a huge inconvenience for me, and the app has gotten way slower, WAYYYY SLOWER. I have to wait about 10 minutes for the search bar to show up when I want to search up a song, then another 15 for it to actually pull any of the songs up. I do have to cut them some slack, they have almost every song available, but you just have to pay for it for you to actually learn it. Unless you can play really fast and learn some funky chords in a split second.

Just now Joined. First screen after creating Password offers Free Trial Premium. I saw no place to skip or decline or say No Thanks, not to go back to the previous page. Only a Green Button with Thanks would get the page to move. I went to settings and Manage Account and there it is I had agreed to a free trial of premium I did not want to agree to. In the description of this App it leads you to believe that by downloading the app you will be able to use the metronome, the Key Change / transpose feature ... what the App description does not tell you is: There is a Premium. That’s right. The features so helpful are accessible only with the Premium Account. In Summary: the deceptive advertising of the old “Bait - Switch”. Going to Delete this App Now. PS: unfortunately they have the cookies as described in the Terms & Conditions to pass to All Social Media and third parties, etc., for free. At least I am not going to Pay monthly to continue to “share”, while the Allow (only if I pay them) to use their Features of the App. Done.
This is pretty awesome!!!
by Graciesandefur on 2019/02/03 04:59
I can’t read music so I always looked up chords. And sometimes you can’t find certain songs. But I discovered Chordify and I can’t look up a song that they don’t have the chords for!! Its super easy to use if you’re like me and not super advanced in playing your particular instrument (for me it’s the piano). It even has an offline button for songs that you want to play when you don’t have WiFi or whatever. Guys!!! I love this app- I wish I had discovered it years ago!😍
One thing to fix
by BobcoTX on 2018/07/12 03:55
I sure wish after playing a song from favorites that it would return to the same place where you left off instead of starting at the beginning. Better yet, create Settings so we can control navigation of favorites as we like. But if I’m going down the list of favorites playing songs I don’t want to have to go back to the very beginning and thumb down again to play the next song.
Lot of potential, bad interface
by Richard A. on 2018/11/20 00:33
Just stick with the website. The iPad app is missing basic icons to help you get around. If you touch the upper left corner from the tab screen, you’ll be able to return to the search screen. But there is no icon to indicate the place to touch. I just poked around to find it. The “like” button is too well hidden or missing, so there’s no way to save songs you like in your favorites. Some of the chords are miss named. (Such as a F chord being shown as a B chord.). You would think basic issues like this would be fixed by now.
Can you add a couple features??
by uwu owo owu uwo on 2019/08/14 16:05
The first I would like is the simplify chords choice, like the website. It would help a lot for me, so I can practice with easier chords on my phone. Also, there is something wrong with the app where I try to play a song, and the audio isn’t available at all, and it doesn’t play. I put it on offline mode and it plays, but doesn’t play the audio. Please add and fix what I request, it’d help a lot!!😊😊
Edits
by Xx_ZXYN_xX on 2019/05/13 23:12
The app is amazing. Better than RiffStation IMO. But there is one blaring problem: editing. You can edit in the desktop version, but not on the mobile. I can see why, it’s be kinda hard to do that, but edits you make on desktop on your account should transfer over into any device under your login. Technically, it might be useful for seeing how you’ve changed a chord set, but meh. There could be an “original” button to switch between for that. Aside from that, great app! 5 stars!
One of my essentials. Love this app
by B44444448 on 2020/03/30 18:47
I’m a singer/artist and this is the only music app I currently use. It gives me all my favorite chords, and has been a great outlet for me to consistently train my mind to remember certain chords. I never write reviews but I really appreciate what this app does for me. I’m able to cover any song I want, and it also lets me jam while the song plays 💛
Blocked songs?
by Brainglitch on 2017/07/18 19:54
I love this app and use it every single day. I tried the free two week upgrade and loved it even more. Lately songs that I've downloaded and have been able to play along with have come up as being blocked from the app. It has kept me from wanting to spend money to upgrade. I will continue to use the app to practice with and maybe someday I'll change my mind and upgrade in the future.
It’s a great concept....but
by RStephenfitz on 2019/06/10 03:31
when the song is in diagram mode it only shows two chords at a time. Why can’t they show all the chords in diagram form so that I can practice all of the chord shapes before I try to play the song. Not a good set up for new players who may not know all the chord shapes going in. This one flaw makes a great app frustrating to deal with. I signed up for premium but I’m not paying for a second month.
Does it make learning guitar too easy?
by Lefty from San Diego on 2019/02/09 20:08
Best use I found was to have my guitar teacher record a backing track during my lesson, each week, and then import it into Chordify. Chordify identifies the chords and timing perfectly for practicing your lessons with your guitar teacher at home for free! Looping the track is great for uninterrupted practice sessions. Like training wheels for guitarists.
It's ok just for fun
by Annalise D on 2019/01/06 05:37
I really loved Chordify when I first started learning the ukulele. I wasn't worried about how it sounded too much, I was just excited to finally play all my favorite songs. If you're looking for something more serious and accurate, you should probably look into another option. Chordify doesn't usually give you the most correct chords, but it's great if you're just learning. I do also wish that more of the features were included for free.
Chordify app
by Zackb_3 on 2019/12/29 08:15
This is a very good app to learn the rhythm and strumming patterns of almost any songs I’ve looked up... I do wish there was a separate section to teach the “lick” to the intro’s and the solos... but overall this app gets you in the right area to figure those things out... this app has definitely strengthened my rhythm playing, especially while playing by myself... overall great app I highly recommend...
Frustrated!
by Wdav on 2018/05/12 19:11
This app has more bugs than a Florida swamp at sundown. I just paid for the full yearly membership and found out that it just doesn’t work. Once you choose a song you have to completely quit the app and restart it to get back to any menu. You are supposed to be able to pull down, but that doesn't work. This is just a sample of the bugs found, too many to list here. Looks like I just wasted a yearly subscription amount. I suggest purchasing a couple of cases of beer and wait until these folks get their act (app) together and fix it!
What is UP with the search function?!?!
by WoodAbb on 2020/02/02 07:47
While the chords this app provides are absolutely phenomenal, the search function needs a ton of work. I can’t search by some band names but can by others—for example, Imagine Dragons and Weezer go through but Needtobreathe and Switchfoot don’t. Sometimes I can’t even find a song by searching with the full title—“Beverly” will bring up Beverly Hills but “Beverly Hills” gives you nothing. Please fix this—it’s infuriating.
Amazing
by NAAS_173 on 2020/03/23 05:35
I can play any song now and it is super easy and it’s not only piano chords but ukulele and guitar. One day I decided to buy a ukulele, having some piano back round I knew the chords and stuff. Anyways once I got the basics chorify transformed my game! Playing ukulele is a wonderful simple pleasure of life and chordify makes it all that better
THE BEST
by Wings of Fire nerd on 2020/02/26 16:09
I’ve already mastered 3 songs, and their all my favorites! This is surely the best way to learn chords. I mean, when I downloaded this app I had no idea what chords even WERE. But as I kept going through different songs, I got used to the chords, and now I just need to master the notes... I’m already good at the chords thanks to this app!
Really Good
by odellmcgraw on 2019/07/09 19:25
This app definitely is a great tool for musicians! It’s far from perfect, but gets the chords right majority of the time. If you are looking for an app to tell you how a song perfectly goes, this isn’t it. Great for anyone with experience looking for a quick way to learn songs, really works!
Dumb options
by Cash app fye on 2019/01/08 01:17
I only gave 3 stars because I couldn’t give 2.5, this app is free but you can barely use it due to the fact that everything requires a premium subscription. For example, you can’t even slow down the tempo because you need premium, so there is no point because you won’t be able to learn. I think that the four options, song, guide, tempo, and loop should be free to use.
Please Fix This
by Cranberry_Sprite on 2019/01/21 18:05
I’m used to using Chordify on my computer. It works perfectly on there, so I decided to get it on my phone. That’s where things went down hill...the notes have been inaccurate, nothing like the song I’m listening to. When I press to favorite something, it doesn’t work. And worst of all, when I tap to hear the song, it doesn’t do anything! Please fix this problem. I love the idea of the app but right now, I’m not loving the app itself...
What’s up with the song problem?
by StevenUniverse🌠 on 2019/09/09 00:03
While using the Chordify app, I learned new chords and improved greatly in my ukulele skills. However, some songs I played have stopped showing up in my favorites, and I can’t access them at all. This should fixed because it might become a bigger problem in the future.

I’m no professional musician but I have advanced from a beginner to a confident uke player. I’m jammin all the time. This is perfect for me. Try it, I promise, you’ll love it.

Super Versatile and Convenient!

Thanks!
Awesome app

The Best App ever created!!!
by KrisHester on 2020/10/05 12:37
Being able to play guitar & piano through this incredible app Chordify has truly changed my life!

Awesome app!

Thank you! Plz read

by AngryRussian999 on 2020/04/30 16:51
Chords usually sound off or just wrong in the context of the song. Chords are also off tempo and don’t correspond with the actual song half the time. Cool concept, but it just doesn’t work out. Better off just looking at chords online.
Great way to learn songs

This is a great app to get the basic chord structures of songs down quickly. Love it!
GREAT APP

It’s free! I play guitar and it’s Very easy to follow the chords and it’s fun play along with the music you like. I’m very happy with this app and I improvise my progressions on playing chords and motivates me to play more and more.
Helpful and great

I see a lot of people complaining about the paywall, which is a bit annoying, but what I don’t like is the way it makes you view the chords. I don’t want to have to follow along with the song playing, I just want to see what the chords are and where they are in relation to the words. The format of Ultimate Guitar Tabs is better, and I recommend using that instead. Chordify does have some of the lesser known songs, and I would be fine with it if I could see all the chords and the words to the song together as opposed to just seeing the chords a few bars at a time.
Great way to learn an instrument
by cave shrew on 2019/09/14 19:08
I learned to play piano using this app.

Upgrades
by jramevale on 2020/06/27 03:23
The keys/chords it list on most videos are okay, however, is not great or prefect.

Sometimes things change for the worse and this is a prime example.

by Savannah A M on 2019/06/20 02:19
I am confused, someone told me this app rocks, and they play a piano, and I do too.

Thank you!

Done.

Please add and fix what I request, it’d help a lot!!😊😊

by Xx_ZXYN_xX on 2019/05/13 23:12
The app is amazing. 5 stars!

Amazing
by NAAS_173 on 2020/03/23 05:35
I can play any song now and it is super easy and it’s not only piano chords but ukulele and guitar. One day I decided to buy a ukulele, having some piano back round I knew the chords and stuff. Anyways once I got the basics chorify transformed my game! Playing ukulele is a wonderful simple pleasure of life and chordify makes it all that better
THE BEST

I only gave 3 stars because I couldn’t give 2.5, this app is free but you can barely use it due to the fact that everything requires a premium subscription. For example, you can’t even slow down the tempo because you need premium, so there is no point because you won’t be able to learn. I think that the four options, song, guide, tempo, and loop should be free to use.
Please Fix This

Chordify is the best musical chord website I have ever used. It’s easy, simple, and fun! It makes me play me ukulele more than ever. There’s also chords for guitar and other instruments. I’m no professional musician but I have advanced from a beginner to a confident uke player. I’m jammin all the time. This is perfect for me. Try it, I promise, you’ll love it.

I have a ukulele and I really wanted to find a app to just tell me the cords of songs...This app is perfect!!!! It tells you when to play, how to play, and it’s free! You can pay to get more gadgets but I don’t need them. You can play every song in the world with Chordify!!! I’m very happy with this app!!!#Makeslifewayeasy
