Nice app but it caches from time to time
by JTPCovers on 2022/01/12 16:42
Best eq music player app in my opinion apart from "evermusic." The settings that I have create a similar sound that my peace eq setup has in the computer! But I just wish it didn't crash or glitch as frequently.
EQ is fine app implementation is not
by Stripper Pole on 2022/01/12 10:02
I don’t know why I should have to look at my music through another app in order to use a third-party EQ. It should be an EQ app that is universal across all audio features of the phone otherwise what’s the point? If I have to pay and do extra work to use something that’s just crappy design.
Length of tracks not in sync
by Nolejeff on 2022/01/11 13:58
When I use the app on CarPlay, I noticed that the time (and time remaining) of each song is not sync. For example, if the 7 minute version of Light My Fire is playing, it shows the song is 3 minutes long and when the song reaches 0:00, the song still plays, but still the display of the time of the song is incorrect. I read your reply. What store were referring to press continue? The Boom app itself which I see no “Store” option or the store app itself?
Good for headphones but not a speaker
by mineblaser on 2022/01/07 22:28
There are options for headphones but no option for a speaker. It sounds really bad on my speaker too. I’m using the first generation JBL boombox.
False advertising

Got the app after looking up FREE Spotify equalizers and it requires payment to use the apps services. It also says it would require Spotify premium on top of paying for the apps benefits it’s self.
My Review

The quality of music is unreal
by Zack Sheats on 2022/01/01 01:19
I’ve been using Boom for years and was so happy when they came out with a lifetime package I purchased immediately without question. Among the best equalizer on IOS. My Mercedes has the Burmester 4D speakers which are already phenomenal, but this app brings out everything in them! The music is like you’re there recording it with the artist. It’s incredible. I’ve found my Harmon Kardon Onyx louder speaker and Bang & Olufsen over ear headphones pair best with this app and I’ve tried A LOT. Music should be an investment, and this app brings it all together. You can pair it with Spotify, Apple Music, even Google Drive so you can access music from across the internet. User friendly, easy to navigate, and I’ll use Boom as long as I can. The experience is beyond what I can tell you.
Awesome app
by Jeff jj on 2021/12/31 23:02
If you love music via streaming or audio files, you will enjoy the euphoric, and ambient sound this app brings to your headphones or audio equipment. It’s worth the money in my opinion. Though I feel the Mac version is better. :)
When it comes to sound they know there stuff but….
by Droppachoppa474 on 2021/12/31 19:39
When it comes to user experience in the app it just doesn’t cut it. I don’t understand why it doesn’t have a find search area in liked songs/Library. It’s to difficult to create a queued playlist if there’s no search button in my library. I have 1200 liked songs. Do you expect me to scroll down through all of them to find a song? On Spotify you simply type in an artist or a word that’s in a song and all the songs with that word, artist, or song come out automatically as your typing it. They only have search for all the songs on Spotify. On top of that when you do search you can’t even add any to the queue cause it’s a bunch of pictures framework of the album with no 3 dots to add to queue. Ok so you can put view more and then the dots come out to add to queue. But there are so many versions of the song sometimes you never select the right one. The one I wanna listen to is one of my liked songs/library songs and I can’t even find it. I wish I could buy this app I really do. There’s even a New Year special, and the quality of the songs are great. But I’d rather listen to regular quality on Spotify and easily find songs from my library that I’m looking for. If you guys can fix this I’m definitely in on the next special you have. Besides my user experience issues the app is great. Good job guys. 👍🏼
I could be better

Okay so it’s a good app but they only give you 7 days free on the first download so they could try and fix that .
Asking for a refund
by NobodyUnoe on 2021/12/26 00:54
I got this app last night to try to find a stop-gap fix for a problem with the highs on my AirPods Pro being too shrill. I knew it wouldn’t be an across the board fix, but expected it to work right. First off, I discovered that it forces you to use it as your music app from now on, and the GUI is ugly and rustic. I hit into errors with locally stored iTunes purchases with it thinking they were Apple Music streaming selectively, and refusing to equalize it all- some will, some it won’t touch and give a DRM error. It also scrambled all the artists, albums, and songs, alphabetizing everything individually, making nothing easy to find. In short, it’s useless. It’s particularly upsetting because when I tried to do the free trial, I got hit with a scammy popup telling me that if I bought a lifetime subscription this very moment, it would be on super sale. So I never even got the free trial to see if it was good or not, in fear of overpaying for something that I could be stuck using for a long time. Apple should make those one chance only sale buy before you try offers against the App Store rules! I’ve written in asking for a refund this evening, but considering that I’m still waiting for a reply from yesterday’s support request, it’s most likely going to take a while before I get assistance.

What happened to Spotify
by Massi Shores on 2021/11/30 23:25
I’ve had more problems with this app Boom than I can count! And now I was logged out of Spotify and can’t log back in it just buffers all the time. Boom what is the problem now?
Needs work
by Madalenc on 2021/11/30 02:50
Needs a lot of work, having to use the boom app to listen to my Spotify music is something I can deal with, but the playlists and everything is not organized once you open your Spotify acc within this boom app. I have an extended iTunes movies and tv shows library that I enjoy in my frequent flights and this app seems not to be able to play such content. Will check this app out again in a couple years.
Almost perfect
by Aenvan on 2021/11/24 14:40
i have only one problem with this app. why this app doesn’t support FLAC format? i listen to my 90% of songs in FLAC. But this app doesn’t play FLAC audios. That’s a huge minus. I will give 5 star once it starts to support FLAC audio. However i can play FLAC audio from Online Drives (Google drive, etc ) but when i manually put a song from Mac or open a file from Boom app or doesn’t play the song. That’s very disappointing. Hope this will be fixed soon.
Need more app support
by jkittyktx on 2021/11/20 14:12
Like it on Apple IOS but love it on MacBook. I need you guys to add DI.fm to your list of supported apps. Thanks! Update:2021-Add podcasting support to your app eq, why is there no support for this???
Scam for iTunes
by BAQICE on 2021/11/20 05:39
I bought the lifetime subscription only to findnout after purchasing that the advanced features are unavailable for iTunes due to restrictions by Apple. THAT SHOULD BE STATED UP FRONT!! Total Rip Off!! I want a refund but guess what?!!! I can't get it through the Apple Store and don't see a way to request refund in the app!!! Total B.S.!!!
This App is Amazing
by Coolio65000 on 2021/11/18 02:45
So I originally downloaded this app while looking for an EQ I could use for Spotify, and was initially upset when I saw that it’s on a subscription model (which I still think developers need to chill out on). After using the free trial though, I was thoroughly sold on the product. It allows so much customization in my music listening experience that I actually ended up buying a lifetime subscription (which was cheaper than a yearly subscription??)! Also, I’m unsure of how 3D audio actually works, but since using Boom, it’s taken strain off of my back speakers, which were starting to blow out. Take that how you will. I can’t recommend this app enough, but I think the UI needs a bit of a glow up.

Boom Boom!!!!
by Dipindisisurp on 2021/11/13 05:38
If you like how music is supposed to be heard, than you found the right one! Can't stop jamming. Feel like I'm in the studio with the artist! I wish I would have found this earlier. If you like the trial than you will love it. It's no gimmick. It sounds phenomenal. If you learn how to tune it right you real can appreciate it! Well done Boom. I take my hat off to you. Money well spent on a quality product. I love when I spend money on something that really deserves it. Keep up the great work.
Great song quality but one huge deadbreaker
by Nwolfe09 on 2021/11/11 18:24
This app really does improve the sound quality when used with a Bluetooth headset, however there is one major issue for me. When using with Spotify, it does not use the media you have downloaded, rather it streams it. For those of us without unlimited data, that is not acceptable...
I don’t like how I have to pay for two subscriptions
by zaiah1134 on 2021/11/10 17:18
So I downloaded the app and all paid get into the app it says you need to have a Spotify subscription and I can’t use my Apple Music subscription
Amazing app!
by awesomeappformusic on 2021/11/10 15:55
My music sounds amazing I didn’t like it at first but I had to turn off 3D audio for the EQ to sound perfect (galaxy buds 2 so I’m surprised it didn’t sound good) but overall amazing!

Great on iPad Pro
by Muahahailaugh on 2021/10/23 21:30
Most apps are formatted for phones only. This app actually works well on my iPad. I've had it for a few years now. Never had any issues. I see some reviews talking about a problem after each update, but I guess that's a phone-specific thing since I haven't experienced it.
Purchase Now Worth it
by MightyMaddie9 on 2021/10/21 01:15
I posted a review complaining about the fact that they revoked my lifetime prescription and tried to charge me a regular subscription. They just gave me back my lifetime subscription and I now believe that might’ve been the fault of apple. While I unfortunately can’t remove my previous review, this app is genuinely a few good investment and worth it in the long term. It works with Spotify which thankfully I already have a subscription for. The only small problem I have otherwise is that it occasionally takes a while to load the songs if you skip them too fast, but this is a relatively small app right now so it’s a very small issue.

Why no YouTube music? But google drive? Lol
Wow.....Just wow.
by starfox galaxy on 2021/10/19 21:54
I listen to a lot of coldplay and my iphone speakers get very staticky on some songs. Forces me to carry my Samsung galaxy with me when I can't use my headphones like when I'm at work. This music player allows me to lower or even turn off the things that are causing static in my speakers so I can enjoy the beautiful music while at work and thus be in a good mood for my customers since our in house radio is dreadful even to the customers. Lol. Thanks dev for giving me back my happiness without forcing me to carry my Samsung just for music. When I get better pay, I'll get the paid version for sure. Looking forward to helping the devs out. But for now, I'll lend my support through the praise they deserve.

Useless
by ___Stg___ on 2021/09/30 04:45
Just spent $15 on this app, found out it only supports 3 music apps instead of just altering your phone’s sound. Really dumb setup. I pay for youtube music and Boom and they dont work together
Used to work but now it rapidly skips songs.
by Huhgsidbdjz on 2021/09/29 15:31

by lulyato on 2021/09/09 12:29
Boom ? More like broom, this app isn’t completely useless ..but I can’t find a good song if SoundCloud’s not on it …😴🤒. Please update ASAP ! Plus the app froze after the first tutorials.
You will love this.
by CandeliPV on 2021/09/07 13:33
I’ve been looking for a way to adjust sound for my 73 year old ears. This is IT! The main limitation is that you can’t play everything on your phone through the eq. You need to get your music into Boom first. But you can really make it all sound rich - even with some cheaper headphones.
Amazing product for any music head
by Me415567544 on 2021/08/29 11:01
This app is pretty amazing with the 3D sound quality. No, I’m not an expert or anything but I think this app does a really good job at letting all the sounds and depths of the music come to the forefront of the sound just as equally as they do the vocals. Sometimes I’m listening to a song and it sounds like I’m IN the booth with the finish product playing throughout my ears. The amplification of sound compared to your usual music app is night and day and BOOM sound reigns superior every time. I gave this app 4 stars because I do have one issue with it in my experience, not saying this is an issue for everyone but for me…the app sometimes doesn’t cooperate properly if I don’t completely close out the app after every use. Making it extremely annoying later, when I want to scroll through my song lists after a bit of not using the app. WORTH the yearly subscription
Great sound…but
by wpankey on 2021/08/19 00:41
I wish they would make a little more user friendly when it comes to making playlists and organizing your music.
Non-existent customer service. Super glitchy
by Kana3842 on 2021/08/18 19:09
I absolutely would not recommend this app to anyone. When using Boom via Spotify every song gets cut short before starting the next song. Customer service doesn’t exist for this app. I emailed customer service a week ago asking for a solution and received one back that stated “This is an automated email lovingly crafted by the support team.”, and that “resolving your issues and answering your queries are our top priority”. Email also stated that they try to address issues within 48 hours. Haven’t heard back. I always reach out to app creators to give them a chance to resolve my issues before leaving a negative review as I believe everyone should get the benefit of a doubt. I have removed & reinstalled the Boom app several times and nothing seems to help. So yeah. Save your $14.99 and don’t get the Boom app.
Good sound - bad functions, lots of limitations
by r3u on 2021/08/18 17:16

Almost perfect music app
by asherman92 on 2021/07/06 22:50
I’ve had Boom as my primary music streaming app through my Spotify account for over a year now and overall, I’ve been extremely impressed with how improved music sounds streaming through Boom versus through Spotify directly. However, there are a few minor issues that area holding this app back from getting a 5 star review. 1.) The Crossfade feature that is a great feature to have in the Spotify app for smoothly transitioning between tracks, simply does not work in Boom. This often times leaves an awkward pause in the music, especially while playing music while hooked up to a speaker for an event or other social gathering. This is a big one for me and often times has me reverting back to Spotify to avoid this annoyance, so as not to break the whole vibe of the event. 2.) Boom had trouble logging into my Spotify account every time I go to open or start Boom up and I have to close and then reopen the app just to get back into my library. I truly wish Boom would just automatically log me into my Spotify account library without me having to prompt it and select the Spotify option in the main menu every time I go to open the app.

by Bobotittler on 2021/06/28 20:35
I have been using Boom on my Mac for some time now and have liked the program there. When I saw it listed for the iPhone I jumped at the chance to have it there too. I listen to SiriusXM a lot but it appears that Boom does not work with SiriusXM which is highly disappointing! In fact the SiriusXM App does not work while Boom is on the phone, I had to delete Boom to get the XM App to even play through my earphones! All of this after paying for the Lifetime premium!!
AMAZING!!
by timwrice59 on 2021/06/28 00:40
This app is amazing! And it is hard for me to even want to rate an app much less give it 5 stars coupled with a 16 band graphic equalizer ABSOLUTELY NOTHING has fed my audiophile appetite in years. And to say my iPhone is coupled with a $10 Bluetooth amplifier which is linked to a couple of Bose 100watt bookshelf speakers… I don’t know what else I can say I had started once to throw the speakers away,……. I am so glad I didn’t
Great app. Needs Siri Support.
by SpeshGueshReferee on 2021/06/26 20:04
The app is great. It suits my needs perfectly as the speaker quality in my car is very good, however the amplifier in my car is on the weaker side. This app lets me maximize the volume of the audio I stream from Spotify without distorting it, as well as provides 8 and 16 band EQ. My only issue with the app is that it does not have any Siri support. This is an issue if you are an Apple CarPlay user, if you tell Siri to play a song through Boom, it will say the app has no Siri support, so you have to manually search for music.
No Good With Apple

Mediocre On Ipad
by Kenny-leigh on 2021/06/20 09:18
Iv gotten in touch with support about no multitasking on ipad, and clunky, IOS 7 looking design, that was over 2 years ago and I just downloaded to check and still nothing. I won't be spending cash for premium when it doesn't function, feel or look like a premium app. Love this app but to use as a daily driver on ipad is a chore and terrible to look at I'd recommend default music app.
I love this app
by Grayceeeee on 2021/06/19 20:48
I truly love this app, but I needs to but upgraded I paid for the lifetime premium. Great price for $25 for the great sound it gives. Unfortunately it needs wayyyy more features to be “worth” the price I paid for this. I’m giving 4 stars because I am happy with it. I just don’t get very good signal on my commute to and from work just wish there was a offline option. Especially when you have to pay🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🥰

by Flowing71 on 2021/06/15 09:07
has limitations set by YouTube , Apple or whatever other apps out there, this app shouldn’t be rated or reviewed based on an a companion app that is very tight and doesn’t let Boom engage fully. Anyway, I’m not getting paid or whatever I have both on my iPhone XR and MacBook Pro early 2015. I could stay up all night on Boom tuning songs and just trying out different things. The app for my apple computer works great but disappointed in the iPhone app
by Coyotesfan1992 on 2021/06/06 20:28
I love the boom for my MacBook it will work for any site in my web browser when I use it for YouTube. I’m really disappointed that this app for iPhone doesn’t work in the YouTube app. Fix that and then I will give 5 stars.

Spotify doesn’t scrobble to last.fm
by skinny_much on 2021/06/01 12:23
Scrobbling is very important to me. It’s a deal breaker issue for me. Boom’s integration with Spotify didn’t bring this up. I used Boom and upgraded for multiple days before seeing Boom wasn’t scrobbling to last.fm. Lost money for me. — Otherwise the app seems to be decent enough and if it scrobbled, I’d give it 4 or 5 stars most likely. But having paid 6 months and it being useless to me now, I can’t do much. Edit: last.fm support. Scrobbling is the made up term for posting audio Listened to being posted to your last.fm profile so you have tracked history. Spotify provides this. I didn’t know Boom’s Spotify integration wouldn’t.
EQ needs work, virtual surround is terrible
by Appleus3r1 on 2021/06/01 08:00
EQ barely works unless you use virtual surround, which gives me a headache to listen to when it’s enabled as it’s so terrible. And you cannot even boost lower than 60 hz either, as trying to switch to 16 band does nothing. Not recommended.
Nice simple app

This App Fall Down… Go Boom!
by Sir Professor of Pun on 2021/05/28 13:25
I’ve had yhis app since 26MAY16. Back then I lkkdd it ao much, I purchased the full access IAP… that now is 100% ignored! For the past year all I get are ads & requests for subscribing to something I already paid for 5 years ago. Don’t even suggest restoring my purchases… that works for about 10 mins before it’s back to more advertising billboard than music billboard!
Great 3D music
by 🄰🄽🄳🅁🄴🅆 on 2021/05/28 11:31
This is a great app because with this app the music surrounds your head. With other apps it’s like a wall, the vocals are greatly separated from the instruments
None of their links are where my music resides.

The few songs I have on itunes sound great, but I keep my music in an app that itunes doesn't access and why pay for google drive, dropbox or icloud when one has their own server? Nope, Booms limitations are who they lie in bed with.
Amazing

This app should definitely be more discoverable, have been looking for something like this for a while after switching from android, if y’all could add YouTube music somehow as-well it will be great aswell as maybe somehow being able to watch movies with this would be great too!!

Problem
by LadyEljunior on 2021/05/11 07:13
I don’t know what has happened for the latest version but since the update it doesn’t work properly it keeps changing the order of my songs and when I choose a song to play next, the app plays a completely different one. It’s the first time I’m experiencing such problems and it’s disappointing. Any hints on how to fix this??

App Crash Release a New Update
by Longerpools on 2021/05/07 03:43
Still haven’t heard back from anyone even after reaching out on email and here. I’ve purchased the app in full and now it’s useless. I’m on iPhone pro max and every time I open it crashes. I didn’t have this issue earlier before updating this app. Otherwise the app is awesome! Just the support here isn’t that greatest and is essentially useless if you can’t use it now. Review Edit: yes I’m on IOS 13.5.1

Didn’t get to try it
by MrTwyst on 2021/04/14 20:45
The trial period is misleading. They make you select a purchase option, but only in small print allow for a trial without selecting a paid option. I thought I had to pay at first—so I didn’t subscribe. When I went back to try again and noticed the small print, the trial period already expired.
Quit asking to “restore” after every update!!
by chegaro on 2018/12/03 23:02
Great app! But it mis alphabetizes all of my Music Libray. All music groups who’s name starts with “The” are all lumped together under, THE, under the t’s, (ex. The beatles, the cure, the rolling stones, the B52’s, etc...) as opposed to where they should be alphabetized. ALSO, EVERY TIME I JUMP BACK INTO MY LIBRARY FROM WHERE I AM (when in “Album” view, not in “Songs” view)IT DOESN’T TAKE ME BACK TO WHERE I JUST WAS, BUT INSTEAD, IT TAKES ME BACK TO THE VERY TOPMOST OF MY WHOLE MUSIC LIBRARY, BACK TO THE A’s...and this sometimes frustrates me so much, that the time killing of it forces me to switch to another music app, (as there isn’t the little “alphabetical sidebar”, as in “songs” view, that allows you to tap on the starting letter of the musical group, a,b,c, etc., to get you there quicker). Other than that, this is a pretty decent app, and has great sound possibilities and customization, and I use it now quite often, but not as much as my favorite music app, which is the FANTASTIC, EQ10...also, the squeezing of album art is another issue, but overall, its not that important...keep up the awesome work!
THE ALPHA MUSIC PLAYER!
by "HARDBODY" on 2020/01/30 22:45
I am deeply involved in music, in fact I DJ, so sound quality & programs etc I know well. With that said, I have used many music Apps trying to find the best one. Yes there are a couple of good ones I came across, but in my opinion “BOOM: Music Player” is the Alpha of them all. I purchased the Mac Desktop version about 2 years ago (also fantastic) and use their BOOM Remote for complete functionality. Last year I purchased the app for the 1 year subscription which expires in a week. I use BOOM at least 5 days a week a few hours each day (it gets a lot of play) & I personally never had issues ie, can’t ever recall it crashing, in fact after their last update I feel it is even better. I am so positive that this is the Alpha of the music player apps I said F@%k it and just purchased the Lifetime pack. If I have to nitpick there is ONLY one thing I hope they add/fix, so I hope the developer reads this, hear me and fixes it. The system in my truck (custom) has a remote so I never have to touch the radio or phone for anything BUT with BOOM I can only skip to the next track.....back from track to track. Would be outstanding if I could scroll through/ Fast forward within a track… in other words if I simply want to hear a certain spot in the track. If I want to do that I need to open the phone/app a scroll that way. NBD, still a BadA$$ APP. Oh and their customer service is on the up & up! The times I emailed I ALWAYS got a response pretty fast!
Exceeded my extremely low expectations!
by AlmostNotDumb on 2017/11/24 20:15
I’m familiar with virtual surround sound with gaming and I think it works great for what it is. Not sure how it would work with music so I came across this app which is free for like 5 days. Plenty of time to test it. I didn’t really know the difference at first. I could tell there was a difference just not sure what. So I was starting to wonder if this was a gimmick after listening to a whole album of one of my favorite bands. I then started to listen to the same album without the Boom effects or app. I couldn’t even finish the first song without wanting to go back to the Boom app effects. It definitely sounds more full and it is easier to pick up multiple sounds and voices distinctly. I am using this app with my Beats Solo 3 headphones. On some songs the bass got too heavy for what my headphones could handle so I had to adjust the EQ a bit on some songs but treble is awesome on my headphones so everything else was amazing. I’ll have to test it on other headphones I have. Overall definitely worth trying and definitely worth a one time purchase of $4.99. I got it on sale for $2.99 on Black Friday. Even better! You will never want to go back to 2D music after using this.
Best out there!
by Cybertechman on 2020/03/22 14:45
I love using Boom! It is the best out there by far with everything it does. I do have a suggestion for the suggestion box. I would love to see fast forward and rewind buttons (if there’s not already a way to do it that I’m missing) rather than having to guess where to move the slider. The buttons would be ones that let you move forward and backward about 10 or 15 seconds, and when you tap and hold the forward button, it would act as a speed up play button until you let up off of or to return to regular playback speed. This would let you be able to more easily jump to portions of a song which are closer together and speed through a portion if you want to just speed through it faster until you get to the part you want. This is just a suggestion, though, as this is still the best out there either way.
People keep complaining...
by Darklon on 2018/03/16 17:34
...about "problems" with this app. But the issues I keep seeing them complaining about CANNOT be fixed by the developers! Listen up!!! APPLE controls access to files with DRM, not the developers. I love this app, and I'll admit there are problems. For example, I'd love it if I could set Boom as the default player for music. But it's Apple's ball park so I doubt that will **ever** change. Technically, I guess it's Apple's ball park, bats, **and** balls. 😉 At any rate, before you go off half-cocked and make a complaint, make certain you've got your facts straight. For example, if the program is crashing a lot, but you don't see a lot of reports about crashing from other people, it's probably an issue with YOUR device. Additionally, devs usually fix crashing issues pretty quickly if they effect a number of people. To fix a problem like a crash, they have to be able to track down a problem. I'm running Boom on three iOS devices, almost daily, and it's never crashed on any of my devices. I personally give this app two thumbs up, five stars (GOLD stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) and I highly recommend it because it makes all my non-DRM music sound so much better! I barely ever use the Apple music player at all. I even use Boom when I'm listening in my car, and it makes my music sound richer and more full, even over my stock car speakers.
Why?
by gregfahey on 2020/01/07 19:59
I like the sounds available with Boom. No issue there. In fact I'd love to have this. However, this BS about who "owns" the music is infuriating. I pay Apple to stream music. I don't mind paying as musicians deserve our support. Absolutely and 100%. So I'm paying to make it all legit. Yet, there's another standard applied if I want to take off a bit of the treble on certain mixes. So basically, since I have minimal space to be able to download certain tunes locally, I'll get to use Boom on the few songs downloaded. Unacceptable. If I'm paying for the rights to listen to artists, I should be afforded the control over how I prefer the desired EQ. I pay the same price to stream it as I do to download it as well. Here it is, 2020 and apparently the man behind the curtain is shaking his head "No!" when it comes to having an EQ function on one of the most popular and technologically advanced pieces of hardware on Earth.
Great.... but:
by TravisAK on 2019/04/11 06:13
This is a great app. I’ve probably tried every music player in the App Store and this is by far the best. Beautiful clean interface. Easy to use and the effects do add new life to your headphones. There are a LOT of optional settings to play around with. ONE STAR OFF FOR THE YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION NONSENSE!! Just charge a one time flat fee so we can be done with it. I paid the subscription because it’s worth it and I’m gullible, but I would have happily paid a bit more for a one time fee. Update: the bass is blowing out my headphones. (A few different ones; Beats, Grado) I’ve tried turning off the bass boost and it doesn’t do much. The only fix is to turn off effects which defeats the point. Is there a way to dial down the bass a bit more without having to build a custom eq? Overall still a great player though. (Prefer the Vibrant and Flat settings. Both have same issue)
Streaming FLAC files from Google Drive
by MGdakid on 2021/03/31 19:53
This app allows me to stream FLAC music from the cloud ,(which I was pleasantly surprised by) however the stream stutters and fails to play the track without multiple pauses. The only to fix this issue for me is to download the song. I have another app that don’t require me do so in order to play my music smoothly from my Drive, I.e. VOX Music Player. Unlike VOX, Boom allows for sophisticated 3D audio with all headsets as well as having a lower subscription price. If the devs could fix this streaming issue they would easily be just as good if not better than VOX. I’m a lifetime subscriber btw. Update: I logged back into the app and got a message claiming that I was trying to play an “unsupported” file type. I’ve never had this issue when streaming the songs directly through my Drive, VLC Media Player, or VOX music player. If it weren’t for the EQ I’d probably regret becoming a subscriber.
Almost Perfect
by VoltPlayer on 2018/01/25 19:12
I just purchased the Boom for my iPhone and so far I love it with one huge exception. I obviously use this app in place on the default iPhone music player, so that I can take advantage of the EQ functionality. So, I get into my car, fire up Boom and start listening to music and everything is fine.. I can control the music (next/previous, volume up/down using the controls on my steering wheel) just like I can using the standard iPhone music app. However, occasionally boom will reach a song in my playlist that it claims cannot be EQ'd due to DRM (which is fine), so it plays the song anyway (just without any EQ functionality) - the problem is, whenever that happens, I lose all control to the app, meaning I have no way to control it anymore from my steering wheel buttons. This requires me to kill the app, and restart it, and everything is fine again. So, this is a really annoying bug, and I hope you can fix it soon!
Great app but enough with the marketing
by stealthnoodle12 on 2019/03/06 17:15
I love Boom. I use it for my desktop and mobile device. Music would not be as good without it! But Boom, whoever is in charge of your push notifications, tell them to put more thought in before they hit send and stop sending so many notifications in general. I’m officially annoyed and turning them off. They are useless messages. Today I was notified with “Its half way to the weekend! Get going with Boom!”. What am I supposed to get out of that? I know it’s Wednesday...it’s literally displayed above your push notification on my lock screen. I’ve been getting messages like this almost every day. tl;dr Great job engineering team. You’ve created apps that are a must have. Marketing team (I assume), make your push notifications informative and useful for your users.
STILL IN LOVE
by Floydian4Ever on 2020/03/18 21:16
I remember when Boom was starting out and I took a chance on a relatively unknown music playing app. Fell in love at first listen, and like any relationship I griped a tiny bit when it wasn’t exactly free anymore but I just couldn’t let my Boom go so years later through few iPhones and many iOS’s, we’re still together because there’s no other music player is as intuitive to my listening needs be it headphones to AirPods thumping my bass hard as AF till it remembers to shut itself off (Sleep Timer built in YES!) so we’ll keep Boomin forever cause ITS 100% WORTH IT. To APPLE MUSIC AND PANDORA PPL QUIT HATING COMPLAIN TO THEM! It’s not Booms fault THEY don’t want u to use any other app but theirs! Thanks for the multitude improvements and for bringing visualization back! 🥰🥰🥰
Boom 3D with Oontz Angle 3XL Ultra
by roblingelbach on 2018/09/21 19:55
Boom 3D with effects is indispensable to me. I use it on the laptop with movies and music: classical, jazz, blues, rock, folk (I’m a musician). Now the other items you must have: the Oontz speakers (2 for stereo) at a reasonable price and with sound quality unbelievable. And all portable in a small backpack. I use boom 3D on two iPhones and have the original small Oontz angle for ultra portability when needed. But boom 3D with the Oontz Angle 3XL Ultra (2 for stereo) is an extraordinary sound combination. I’ve owned the best analog systems (lost in an unfortunate financial travail) including Magneplanar ribbon speakers, Bryston 1000w amp, custom turntable, Etc. and what I gain now is portability and economy, along with Boom 3D’s extraordinary flexibility. Can’t wait to load my new 256 GB iPhone X with a plethora of music, organized into Boom 3D playlists :). —rob, a certified happy Boomer
So buggy and no real shuffle
by Plucky Albatross on 2018/04/08 19:06
I’ve been using Boom on my desktop for years and love it, but there are so many problems with the iOS iteration. First of all the interface is incredibly clunky not easy to navigate at all. I’ll hear a song and want to see the artist or album and I have to press like 12 extra buttons and scroll to do so. The shuffle is not a true shuffle because the 2nd song is always the very first alphabetical song in my library. And then it plays things in order even when it’s on shuffle. Almost all of my songs are songs are Apple purchases (meaning Boom effects can’t be applied) but they only recognize a random few as such. It freezes constantly and the main play screen with the circular artwork is so ugly. Just show me the entire square artwork. When it works, the sound adjustment is amazing but the interface is so so so clunky and there are 3 many bugs with this app. Can somebody please recommend a comparable replacement that actually works?
No artists - album - songs view instead artists - songs
by wildeSG on 2021/04/10 08:13
Like the sound. It’s not earth shattering better than other music players with EQ capability, but it gets a tiny bit more out of it when listening via Bluetooth earbuds (using mostly AirPods pro). The only issue I have is when selecting an artist, it then shows all the songs in random order instead of first showing an album view within which one can then see the songs. This is just so basic but quite annoying when you have a lot of music in the iPhone with a lot of artists and most of them with more than just 2 albums. Please fix this, it’s very basic
Wow.....Just wow.

You get what you pay for.

I read the description and understood what this app does and doesn’t do. I tried it out for 5 free days (thank you Boom) and was very happy to pay the meager price asked to continue listening to my purchased music with all the sounds I’d forgotten since ditching my DiscMan CD player a thousand years ago. This App will make your purchased music sound so awesome you’ll remember why it’s worth paying for it. Your ears will thank you, your favorite artists will thank you, and you will sleep well knowing you’re a good person who is keeping new music alive by participating actively with your heroes (because you buy their art) and your Momma always said nothing good is free.

Living with music every day of your life, you quickly pick-up the nuances of of sound - the highs, lows and mid-ranges - each have several ranges within themselves and it can be irritating when something is wrong. I discovered BOOM just after it first came out, and while it wasn’t perfect, it was close. The developers are obviously audio freaks as there have been several modifications since the original and each step gets them closer to the wholly grail of perfection. My first bit of advice is delete everything else you use and get this app. Second, listen wearing high-end, over the ear headsets. (I’m wearing Sennheiser’s HD 660 S as I type this.)
100% Recommend
by sappho1900 on 2018/04/05 04:05
Boom makes the music-listening experience immensely more enjoyable. I first purchased Boom on my computer and was eager to get it on my phone when I realized there was a mobile app. Boom's effect on music is superior when compared to the Apple music app; I can't stress this enough. In addition to the EQ features, I use the cross-fading feature as well, and can't get enough of it. I highly recommend this app to anyone who loves music and wants to elevate their listening experience even more. My only recommendation would to make the queue more editable; like being able to add single songs into the queue at any given time, similar to Apple's queuing features.
Incompatible with Apple Music.
by k0rraa on 2019/04/15 15:07
The app makes all my songs sound so much better and most importantly it increases bass without sacrificing any of the other frequencies. That being said, as mainly an Apple Music user the app is UNUSABLE because Apple protects all their music with DRM, so the developers are unable to Apply Boom effects to the songs. I understand this is a problem with Apple and not the Boom developers, but I strongly encourage them to find a workaround to this issue because it basically makes the app incompatible with Apple music users. The moment this app works with Apple Music songs and can be used offline is the moment I buy a subscription, until then I’m sticking to the default Apple Music app
So Disappointing!!!
by ikabroukman on 2019/09/28 06:10
I bought the boom3d MacBook software and I’m so pleased so I obviously thought this is same as on laptop like it’s dress up on my music and sound all over laptop but unfortunately the iphone version is so unfriendly. First of all there’s only dark theme and no clear white which is terrible and I’m really having problems reading so unfriendly. Secondly it does not dress on my iPhone library music but wants me to use it’s library. Instead of just adding the fabulous equalizer system to my already playlists on my default iPhone which is much more friendly for looking at and more simply. Thirdly the visualizer is so idiotic... what is this? I’m not a kid in the 80s in NY with stereo on my shoulder. Get serious...Hey... make your version user friendly and then I’ll buy it! For now it shadows the laptop version but in a bad way! Too bad.
Buy the App

Perfect for those with high-end headphones. I can experience the full capabilities of my iphone linked B&W headphones. Boom 3 on my mac is another level. I suggest purchasing the boom product for each device. The app even upgrades the Bose sound system configured in my Escalade. I use Sonos for in-home audio. So, I’m not sure the effect on BT Home speakers. If you have better speakers, then probably none. My only complaint is that you should be able to max out all app setting and volume, while using the auto equalizer, and receive with no distortion. Full bass for 3d is impossible to play for almost any song at 75% or above volume.
Needs improvement
by sachiko koshimizu on 2017/08/13 08:16
I like the app but the one thing that I'm a little disappointed about is it doesn't count the number of plays for a song (on the built in iPhone music app, each time a song is finished, the counter adds one to the number of plays. It adds however many plays for a song to iTunes since the last time you synced your phone with your computer.) I personally like to keep track of my progress, so if it wasn't for that I would still use this app for listening to music. Also, the visualizer during when a song is played is kinda slow and doesn't look as smooth as I hoped for. I'm not an expert programmer or anything but these sound pretty easy to fix. Once it is then I'll definitely give this 4 to 5 stars as well as use this app more often.
Monthly sub, really?
by random_geek on 2018/11/01 00:13
I’ve enjoyed both Boom 2 and Boom3D on my Mac for many years. It’s one of my indispensable apps that I simply can’t live without. If the iOS version is anything like the Mac app I’m sure it’s excellent quality. But there is simply no way I’m paying monthly for it. If you want to charge me $20 for the iOS version even though that’s far and away higher than most any other utility app costs, sure I’ll pay it. Why? Because Boom is that good. But every year, into infinity? I really don’t think so. I’m so tired of subscriptions and micro-transactions milking every last dime out of loyal customers. The only recourse we have is to speak with our wallet. So no, I’m sorry. Charge a flat rate, charge for upgrades, charge for features we want, yes, all of that. But don’t charge just for the “privilege” of having the app function the way it was intended. Disappointed.
Awesome, but...
by hisdudeness85 on 2017/09/24 17:14
This is a really good music app. I like having the option of different presets for different genres of music. I also like the ability to change your headphone style, be it in ear or over ear. The one option, though, that would give this app 5 stars instead of 4: an option for car speakers. I use this app in my car way more than I do with headphones, so, that addition would be much appreciated by me. Also, there’s something strange bug that doesn’t show the artist in the car display when it’s hooked up to the vehicle. Not a huge problem, but, it’s something that would be nice to fix.
Great Audio, Ugly App
by Nallen280 on 2018/09/25 00:18
The audio effects are GREAT. Seriously. They make all audio sound amazing. I have two issues with the app though. The first is the design. It’s ugly and it’s cumbersome. Swiping up and down, left and right, buttons are in the wrong spot up in the notch, or they’re just not responsive. PLEASE update the app to be more modern. It will be a million times better if the design is refreshed to be like a more traditional music player, such as Apple’s stock app. The second issue is that the equalizer requires a subscription. In my opinion, that’s really ugly. I bought Boom 2 for my Macs, and it works great. I’d gladly pay $15 or even $20 for this equalizer and an amazing design. It’d be absolutely worth it. So PLEASE, update the app and take it back to a one time purchase! Thanks!
Great app, easy to use. Works as stated
by Tankbot#0001 on 2020/09/08 19:42
This app has a built in amplifier, as it boosts your volume level past standard. Bass amplifier works amazing compared to all other apps, I give a 9/10 star rating if I could, unfortunately it’s limited to 5 stars. The one half rating I’m giving is because Apple Music can’t be used with this app. You’re able to sync your Apple Music account but not stream with bass boosted effects. This is due to apple’s policy, but is not stated in the app description. Besides that, everything works as it should. I am proud to have bought the $40 lifetime subscription.
buy it 😘Best of the best

Frankly i have tried many audio enhancers and wast a lot of dollars 💵 and i did not get satisfied. And i said ok lets try that 💥 Boom because i really need to listen to a super sound in my music and i got it . I tried in many hip hop songs and it impressed me by the quality and the clear improvement in my audio . That is why i said Buy it You gonna love ❤️ it it worth it and more value than any other expensive stuff .. thanks for the people who bring this app to life And thanks every body letting me share my experience with every one looking for a better sound . Have a good 😊 one ..
Misleading.
by e.xman on 2017/07/23 16:18
I tried this app and listened to a few of my songs from within the app and at 1st was very impressed at the sound quality when the effect is enabled. Within the app you can turn the effect on and off and the quality of all tracks was much improved with the effect on. But, I soon realized what was happening. My music sounds flat when listening from within the app with the effect disabled. But if I listen to the same track on my built in player on my iPhone the track sounds great without the app. So from what I can tell turning the effect switch off within the app intentionally degrades the sound quality of my track in effort to make the effect impressive. The switch does not compare the effect with the sound of my built in audio. Very misleading. I will not be keeping this app.
Holy yes amazing.
by xKagu on 2018/08/08 20:27
Upon hearing about the Mac version and using it I wanted to see if this would hold up just as well. One song in and I already can tell this is going to be so worth it. It gives the songs so much more feeling to them. And while I may not be an audiophile, hearing "more" of the song makes it an awesome addition to my library of apps. Also, to all the complainers, you really can't fix something you have no control over, especially when it comes to Apple products. You can't make Apple change something. So you're stuck with their rules, like it or not.
So worth it!!!
by Woodshop Whizzard on 2017/12/27 04:55
After being thoroughly unimpressed by the sound quality of the iPhone EQ I went on a quest to find a solution to the bad sound quality. Well, I found it with the BOOM app!!! Super easy interface and full access to my songs made set up a breeze. Then comes the amazing sound. Wow! What a difference this app makes. All of the music sounds so much fuller. I actually thought there was something wrong with my Bose headphones when I first listened with the iPhone EQ. Then I downloaded the boom app and experienced the full potential of my headphones! Thanks BOOM!!! Such an incredible deal for $1.99!!!
Love the app but it has a few bugs
by deZigner on 2017/12/10 08:32
Surround sound boost sounds fantastic when you can get the app to play the song. Seems to be a big bug in that it classifies some music as playing from the cloud (so no effects) when it is in reality downloaded to your device. On my own device there are several songs that I know are downloaded but show as from the cloud or Apple Music within the Boom app. Sometimes the app will stop playing all downloaded music entirely and will only play the music it thinks is from the cloud or Apple Music. I had to delete the app and reinstall it for it to play the other songs again. App would be a five star app if they could fix those problems.
Sounds amazing, but not for Apple Music
by nick_ob95 on 2018/04/22 20:32
The quality of the music is noticeably superior to listening through the regular music app. Effects are just as good as the Boom 3D Mac app, though you need an in-app purchase to use the 3D effects after a trial period. Sounds best on headsets like Beats, but still works really well with AirPods. Only problem is that you can’t use any of the quality enhancing features like 3D if the song is from Apple Music because they have DRM protection (so you might have to run them through a converter on your mac) but songs purchased from the iTunes Store are fully compatible.
Whoa!!!
by Gideon12676 on 2017/12/12 05:38
This app is amazing I can’t believe the difference in my music. Without this app it sounds like you are outside of the concert and when you turn on the 3D it’s like you open the door and walk inside. It is a night and day difference I will never use iTunes to listen to music again. Wish I would have found this app years ago well worth the money. I didn’t even wait the 5 days of the trial as soon as I turned on the effects I said I’m buying this app. Get this app you will not be disappointed. I would give it ten stars if I could!
By far the best sounding enhancement app.
by Pawpawdoug on 2018/12/11 07:37
I have down loaded so many free and purchased even more music enhancement apps ever since I purchased the 4s. I have Bose over ear headphones and no other app has come close to the rich sound & deep bass this app puts out also really easy to use. Keep up the good work and if it is possible to improve it I can't wait. I have deleted all other apps I had, but there is one thing that would really be appreciated since you have been able to make it work with Google drive why not make it work with Google play?
Exceptional
by ExiledCreation7 on 2019/01/11 05:43
Easy to use and a wide variety of selections to make your music sound superb. Downloaded to use for my small Bluetooth speaker and it makes the sound much louder but also keeps it crisp and clear and not muffled or scratchy by exceeding the standard speaker volume. You will spend a lot of time playing with it’s endless variety of choices making a standard music experience something much more. Not much of a reviewer but I highly recommend this app as it certainly deserves 4 - 5 stars easily. Give it a try and I’m sure you will agree.
Perfect for amplifying
by IAMME4L on 2019/02/09 19:32
Bought some Bose Sound Sport Free true wireless and they sounded super crisp. But lacked in volume in my honest opinion. I looked around for a music amplifier app and this popped up. Gave it a try and tried different settings. These fit the bill perfectly. Did the 2day free trial and they were great. Bought the year because of how well it amplified my Bose. My one drawback is it seems to disconnect every now and again from your music source and you have to close the app and reopen, then search again. Other than that it works well for my use.
JUST Don't bother... They'll take your money and run.
by SageGod787 on 2019/04/02 15:01
I bought the life time back when it first came out. It was awesome since i had an iPhone and took it with me. It had the sound effects and all, back then they didn't have the"streaming"thing but who cared i had my own music. Well they added a couple of streaming features and a subscription so they thought, well the hell with the costumers that bought lifetime.... To them your lifetime obviously means until they make changes to the app... Now god forbid i do anything without getting the subscription ad popping up and the effects i had purchased for life.. No more can access them, so now it's a useless app in the store. I don't write reviews ever...i had to warn, trust me don't bother👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿👿
Partially supports lossless / .flac
by sangyeij on 2018/06/23 01:55
I'm a long-time fan of Boom for Mac, and tried this out a while back. Cool, I thought, but at the time I was pretty wedded to Apple Music so it wasn't useful to me. Since then I've been getting more into lossless 24bit music, which is usually in .flac format. On a lark, I tried importing a .flac track to Boom tonight, and to my great surprise it worked. Why don't you advertise this feature?? Edit- just noticed it doesn't allow importing .flac from cloud services. Why only the partial support? By fixing that and allowing iTunes file import, you could easily care to the hi-fi market.
Sounds great...but...MAKE USE OF CACHE!
by ChrisBInRum on 2020/11/18 21:07
Sounds really good. Can’t deny that at all. Don’t like your 3D positioning, sounds like reverb? ONE MAJOR ISSUE WITH THIS APP! It does NOT use Spotify’s cached/downloaded songs! Boom uses All of my data about 2 and a half weeks in...every single month. Every single time you play a song it has to “re-stream” or redownload ANY song. That is not cool. I’m doing this review just because of how bad this is. I have 5gb of 4g every month. I used to have 1-2gb left over every month now with boom it’s gone a little over 2 weeks...that’s how bad this is. Even if it’s on Automatic quality within settings it still uses all my data. So unacceptable. I bought this app for a yes after about a week of using it. Bad choice. YES it sounds good. YES it is definitely a better sound experience with boom with music...it always is, that’s why I’m still using it LoL But my god...fix the data issue. Shouldn’t be to hard to implement the use of Spotify’s cache?
What happened?
by DigitalBullets on 2019/12/20 18:39
I like the new updates but you removed one of the features that set this player apart from all the rest! The ability to restart a song on the fly by holding the timer button back at the beginning and releasing it whenever you wanted to. This gave us the ability to simulate a mix. Please bring that back! Also give us the ability to remove the auto up next feature. I like to create my own queue and not have one made for me. Thanks!
Disappointed.
by Oliboy on 2019/03/12 09:24
First off, I only wanted to try and then purchase the app for the sound enhancement feature. After the trial period, it turns out this app is subscription based and not a one time purchase. I don’t need streaming services. The option to use the sound enhancement for my own personal music library is all I need. Secondly, the app doesn’t extend the actual volume limit of the iPhone unlike the desktop version does so what’s the point. Sound effects don’t mean anything unless the volume is actually enhanced. Thr ability to enhance the volume limit is the reason I purchased this app for my iMac and my MacBooks. Very sadly and unfortunately- this feature is NOT available for this mobile device version! No good 👎🏻
This app is great...but it needs some changes
by egkim904 on 2017/11/20 05:08
I use this app everyday, it's great and not only boosts the bass of your music, but allows you to import music files from other apps that allow you to download videos and audio files from the web. This comes in handy when there's a song you want to listen to on the go but it's not on iTunes. Now, I've said all positive things so far, but there's somethings that need to be changed. A majority of my music, now, is on Apple Music. Boom would give me a DRM protection warning before allowing me to play the DRM protected song, just not with effects. I was perfectly fine with that, until I wasn’t. In a recent update, I found I was no longer able to play the DRM protected songs, even without effects. Do you think you could fix this?? Because I’m tired of jumping back and forth between noon and iTunes because I can’t access my Apple Music library. Thank you :)
Awesome App
by LO Rizzo on 2020/05/11 23:39
I had some issues with varying volumes. Support team was quick to respond and very helpful. Issue is with Tidal so I’m working with them now For the Boom team, once hearing the difference the app made and learning I couldn’t use the effects on iTunes music I quickly went to Tidal and cancelled the family iTunes account I had for many years. If you aren’t leveraging a sound bite like that with tour current partners and especially with iTunes, you should be.
Could be great
by Coachst on 2018/01/12 20:58
Downloaded the trial a bit ago. If you are using a small speaker (think Alexa) you can realllly enhance the sound to the speaker’s best ability. By far the best app I’ve used. Except...I have about 20 gigs of Apple Music downloaded and some I added to library and some not or whatever causes the DRM Protected error. Only 1 in, being liberal, 20 songs are able to use the apps Effects. It’s on the developers backs to fix this issue which I’m sure everyone is scared off by. I’m not going to reorganize my library and downloads to work with the app- it needs to work with what I have. I’ll gladly change my review and buy the package if this happens—it’s definitely worthy of 5 stars.
Best of the EQ/music player/audio enhancers
by DenizenGroove on 2018/06/29 15:16
I’ve been using Boom and Boom 2 for a long time now. I spend a lot of time mixing and producing music and have a pretty high bar set for expectations when it comes to adding fidelity to compressed MP3 files. There have been some decent apps for helping improve the sound quality of MP3 files but nothing really comes close to Boom. Occasionally some tracks hit a bit too hard but rolling off the Boom effect cleans it up nicely. Amazing improvement to all my audio files!
Avoid buying this app until bug are fixed
by A1CRAG on 2018/09/04 15:35
Version 1.3.2 is the introduction of “subscription” so unless you want to keep paying a montly “fee to use app” and in my case that even when i purchased this app a year before or so, this developer keep restricting the app and forcing you to “restore the app” every 5 minutes which is very annoying which also you will need to constantly contact their server(will eat your phone data plan), even when developer promise is that if we purchase the app BEFORE version 1.3.2 (which i did long ago) app “will still work for you music stored in your phone” which i have no problems with since i dont use or care about streaming services but app keep restricting EVERYTHING

False advertising
by brycen montgomery on 2022/01/04 22:49
Got the app after looking up FREE Spotify equalizers and it requires payment to use the apps services. It also says it would require Spotify premium on top of paying for the apps benefits it’s self.

No YouTube music? Really?

Good sound - bad functions, lots of limitations
by r3u on 2021/08/18 17:16
Great sound improvement over default/eq on phone. However, can’t stream spotify unless you have a premium spotify account. limited to music stores on your phone! Not worth the price especially since I already use awesome headphones.

Does not work with XM!
by Bobotittler on 2021/06/28 20:35
I have been using Boom on my Mac for some time now and have liked the program there.

If people don’t understand how this app works or …
by Flowing71 on 2021/06/15 09:07
has limitations set by YouTube , Apple or whatever other apps out there, this app shouldn’t be rated or reviewed based on an a companion app that is very tight and doesn’t let Boom engage fully. Anyway, I’m not getting paid or whatever I have both on my iPhone XR and MacBook Pro early 2015. I could stay up all night on Boom tuning songs and just trying out different things. Thanks so much guys!

You get what you pay for.
by SAtheElder on 2018/05/12 02:10
I read the description and understood what this app does and doesn’t do.

Awesome App

I had some issues with varying volumes. Support team was quick to respond and very helpful. Issue is with Tidal so I’m working with them now For the Boom team, once hearing the difference the app made and learning I couldn’t use the effects on iTunes music I quickly went to Tidal and cancelled the family iTunes account I had for many years. If you aren’t leveraging a sound bite like that with tour current partners and especially with iTunes, you should be.
Could be great

I’ve been using Boom and Boom 2 for a long time now. I spend a lot of time mixing and producing music and have a pretty high bar set for expectations when it comes to adding fidelity to compressed MP3 files. There have been some decent apps for helping improve the sound quality of MP3 files but nothing really comes close to Boom. Occasionally some tracks hit a bit too hard but rolling off the Boom effect cleans it up nicely. Amazing improvement to all my audio files!
Avoid buying this app until bug are fixed
