Seriously, I have used bike apps and bike share around the world. This is the worst. Some bikes are broken. The app continually times out. The app often doesn’t work at all. You follow the prompts and it fails to work. So sad. You would hope the company could figure out a way to make an app seamless and user friendly. I wish it worked as it is a great idea just horrific execution.

Don’t depend on this app to get where you need to if the time of arrival matters. The payment doesn’t work at all sometimes with no error message, and often bikes will be in one spot one day and not there the next.

Used this service in Singapore today. The return system requires you to scan a qr code on the ground somewhere but the codes are not where the app says. Also all the bikes are damaged or broken in some way. Trash.

Screw this company. Customer service is inefficient. I asked for my deposit back and imputed the wrong card number. After realizing this mistake they will not refund my money. Don’t waste your time. Go get ofo. If rides better anyway.

Good use. GPS not accurate. When locking you need to physically lock the bike near rear brake. Not described well in instructions. But overall it’s great.

I rode Mobike once by giving them my credit card info not realizing that they would be debiting my account monthly for 9.90€!! I signed into my app thinking I could stop the debit by closing my account -wrong ! Can’t be done. I think there needs to be a clearer understanding of what you are actually signing up for when you use their services/app. I am very frustrated and upset.

1 star isn’t fair because the app so so broken I can’t get on the actual bike. First. Why they obsession with a phone number? It makes the service unusable for tourists from another country. And then if you can get past that somehow you can’t top up the account. And no error prompt of why not. Just a “payment failed” message. For seemingly no reason. Yikes... how did you guys get investors?

I had been using Mobike for a month and happy with their service. One day the app stopped unlocking bikes. I did all the regular troubleshooting steps but the bikes will not respond to the app. No support from customer service. Creating a new account with my American phone number opened up a new set of flaws in the interface. Disappointing.

The first 10+ bikes we tried didn’t work. The one bike I did ride had flat tires. Beware of the reoccurring charges before you delete the app. Cancel first.

These people don’t know how things should work. The concept is good, but the execution is poor. They say unlimited, but then it doesn’t work is some areas, but don’t say it on when you sign up. I left Europe and now several week after have a $479.00 USD bill from them for a trip that was 10,319 minutes long. What a joke. Stay away from these people till they can figure out how their app needs to work.

Currently the screen offering a flat fare is broken. I have to request bikes at LEAST twice for it to work. It sometimes doesn’t show bikes near me, and very often the bikes aren’t actually there. Finally, the payment just broke so I can’t even pay to top up my account and I’m stranded 5 miles from my house.

Really like the ease of use. But please make the bikes more adjustable. The seatpost needs to go higher and the handlebars need to be more adjustable especially more fore and aft. I will not rent again till I can get a better fit.

Bikes are very small so not designed for tall people unfortunately. Seat doesn’t go high enough plus never stay in place and goes down while riding- which is very unfortunate.

Great concept, great way to get around Mexico city, but please: 1) Make bikes lock faster. Sometimes you need to wait for a long time before bike locks. Please fix it. 2) Make more areas of Mexico city open. Too much closed areas, makes hard to find a place to park and bile around.

For an international user who uses the app in a country where the service is available, the app constantly gives me offers in chinese. Practically, I have an app in 3 languages, ALBANIAN, ENGLISH and CHINESE. Also, the app for IOS places side by side with the app in Android shows only less than half of the bikes the Android app shows. Not talking for missed translations but that is smth that depends to the local implementer...

I was charged a nearly $30 parking fee for “parking outside allowed area”....except that I didn’t. The app was wrong, I sent photo evidence to the company and they refused to rectify it. Obviously I will never use this service again and just beware the same could happen to you.

I used a bike the other day and had to open and close the App multiple times to get it to unlock. I biked home (about 10 min ride) and was sure to lock it when I got there. I checked today and they charged me $16 for the ride because the system did not register when the bike was locked.

1. You get a message that you parked in a non parking zone and you have to pay $80 if you don't not move the bike in two hours.....but even if you move the bike in 5 mins they still do not reverse the charges... watch out! 2. The option of $20/month have a lot of restrictions which you will find the hard way :-( If you think you need a bike for more than an 45mins do not use these bikes, any other rental is cheaper. 3. With all the time restrictions and fees this turned out to be the most expensive bike rent I have ever made. 4. By the way, I tried to send a message to the complaint department before writing the review but they did not answer back !!!!!

(Foreign user in Beijing) Three times I sent in the required selfie holding passport and photo of my passport, and three times I got the same non-specific text telling me they weren’t acceptable. So I couldn’t use the app at all because I couldn’t validate my identity. Chinese error message, only ever sent to users without Chinese govt ID: “请手持本人护照拍摄正面免冠照,确保五官,姓名,护照号清晰可见”

Each time I come back to this app the bicycles become worse. Inability to be unlocked, missing chains, wonky seats. The last 3 trips I haven't been able to unlock a bike that just works. Giving up!

most bikes I rode in San Diego were in rough shape. Bumpy rides, wobbly seats and missing handlebar grips. App was very slow to update, a map of the 'service area' never appeared. I tried on two occasions to submit repair requests but the app would never allow me to submit, even with picture. Finally, I received a $5 fine for parking outside the service area. Fair, except I didnt see in the map where this was a problem and I received the message nearly 10 minutes after locking bike. Update: Mobike has been billing me $5 the past 4 months. No emails, way to even see my 'subscription' in the App. My recommendation is to hardpass in favor of a less predatory company. Transparency is king.

Twice I’ve been unable to even ride a bike after purchasing the months worth of access. I’ve scanned dozens of bikes and none of them are in working order. This service isn’t worth the time it took to download the app and scan bicycles, not to mention the money wasted. Save yourself some time and don’t bother with Mobike.

Easy to ride and convenient to get to places around Tirana especially in the center area with the nee bike lanes. Bike has good brakes, headlight at night and a bell, seat is adjustable. Only thing that can be improved is to have more bikes available as a few times I had to walk for more than 5 minutes to find the next available bike.

What is with freezing accounts because a person does something good and reports a broken bike. That’s a gotta fix! I walked 500 m today before finding a bike that didn’t have a problem: broken seat, broken bell, handle bars upside down... granted the previous user left it like that but I didn’t report any of these because 1) my account would get frozen and 2) it takes too long. Last time I reported a broken bike it took 5 minutes ... luckily I have the Ofo app too. If my husband and I want to just go for a ride I should be able to unlock 2 bikes with one app. You have a deposit and my credit card! I want to know how far I ride not the 2m difference between where I started and ended. Also it would be a great addition to be able to revisit the actual route I took maybe I want to repeat it or share it with someone. Or maybe it’s a route I want to be sure not to repeat because it’s not passable!

Only used Mobike once and I am not planning on using it again. User experience is quite disappointing, bike are uncomfortable, and service is poor. Many times I was unable to unlock the bike, while receiving a message saying: “We are unable to provide this service at this time”.

Not sure how this app decides pricing plans but guessing it is by phone number code—just moved to Torino and while friends with EU phone area codes are able to access a monthly subscription plan, I (with my USA phone area code) can not, and my only option is to pay €0,80 per 20-minute ride while they have access to 120-minute rides for a fixed monthly price. Paid the €5 to “activate” my account hoping to unlock this feature and still no luck. Really frustrated with the lack of information as to why this is.

The bikes are cumbersome, hard to use and extremely inefficient. They often have serious mechanical issues (pedals that are not attached to the bike chain, gears that don’t work). Given how heavy and difficult to maneuver these bikes are, they also feel extremely dangerous when riding in the street. I will absolutely never be using this company again and recommend that anyone interested in bike share avoid Mobike.

Yet, this Chinese company builds their bike service such that a family man cannot use his single phone to rent his entire family bikes on the street of Florence, Italy while on holiday? This app has stolen my credit card info and has been charging me $10 a month. I only used it one time for 1 hour. There is no way to contact this company other than customer service email. I sent an email regarding unauthorized charges. They responded asking for my phone number and when I replied I got a notice that they blocked my email address. Tried the next day. Same thing. Blocked. DON’T USE THIS APP. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND TAKE YOUR MONEY.

I used Mobike while I was studying abroad in Shanghai. It was a great service and was truly convenient. The problems I faced didn’t happen until I tried to recover my deposit. I used a Chinese number to sign up for the service when I was in China, and have been unable to login using that phone number now that I have returned to the states. I have Made several attempts to contact the company about my deposit and not having access to my Chinese account, and have thus far been ignored. I never found a phone number to contact (they only have an email listed under customer support), and have had to rely solely on email. All attempts at contact have not been ignored. At this point I’ve accepted that I don’t think I will be recovering my (approximately) $45 deposit. If Mobike is reading this, please feel free to contact me to resolve this issue.

Until today I’ve been very happy. About a month and a half ago I signed up for a “90-day unlimited use” program, and have used the bikes frequently and have been very satisfied. Until today. Today I tried to use the bike and was told that I have used more than 1200 minutes of riding, and have to top up 390 baht to continue use. It’s not the price that’s the problem, it’s the trust. If you want customers, stick by your offers.

The bike itself lacks in style. It is stiff and uncomfortable. There should be at least a couple of different styles available. I recommend researching beach cruisers of southern California as one possible style. Another may be a variation of what you have now. Good luck Mark Designer

The app is kinda cool. But I suggest it needs some improvements. The colour of the reserved bike in the app must be different or that bike must be disappeared from the map till the moment it is free again. Sometimes the position of the bikes on the map is not correct. And besides, after all those reports for the costumer reports that I have made I have gained nothing and no difference have I noticed. So I guess it is worthless. Anyway, better than nothing? 22August 2018- After updating the app I notice and strongly mention that the usage and the app is getting worse. Besides, most of the bikes’ locations are not correct.

When locking the bike they don’t say you’re out of the zone. Only after you lock you find out you’re out of the zone, by then you need to pay 25 USD to unlock the bike again. When you pay in order to bring the bike into the zone, you get an out of service error.

I used this app and bike once and was a great experience. I just opened this today and find it in Chinese with a map on China. I haven’t been able to relocate the map in The Woodlands Tx were I live. I ve been searching through the app to set it, but after looking into all it details I haven’t been able to find it. I am more that frustrated!

Loved the fact could use app when we were at Mt. Fuji area and needed way to get from hotel to main transport area. There were 2 bikes in parking lot, the App worked, we were on the road. But wow, terrible bikes. Heavy, very strange gear and having only one gear it was not a good choice unless you are always going down hill. Even then the bike would slow you down, felt like peddling with the brakes on (they were not). I ride bikes, mountain bike and road, I am in good shape. Terrible ride. Would not use again unless they changed bike. Gave one star as it’s about the bike, and the bike was heavy, slow, single gear that was not functional.

I’m traveling around EU and download this app. Worked perfectly in Amsterdam download the unlimited pass for 30 days then it started to charge me an arm and a leg in Italy? No where to purchase the unlimited pass in Italy!

So this app depends heavily on GPS, but their reliability is questionable. You park on a zone that is on the edge of the parking allowance zones and you still get fined, you ride for 10 minutes but the map shows you moved only 400 meters... 🤷🏽‍♂️

I live in Washington, dc, and see mobikes all over the place. At first the app worked great, and I used it for a few trips, however, now there are no bikes showing up on my map. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, and logging out, but there are no bikes showing up. I live and work in two busy neighborhoods, and I see plenty of mobikes around, but they do not register on my phone.

This app allows you to rent a bike that's near you to get you wherever you need to go. It's efficient in that aspect, but in terms of their management, it needs a lot of work. They're constantly revamping the app to no avail. I'm finding bikes that say "out of order" more frequently than I'd like (at least once a week). A lot of bikes are damaged, which is hardly their fault, but instead of picking them up to get fixed, I always see them dumped somewhere on the street. And today, just now, I opened the app to manually input the bike number (since my phone camera is broken) and not only did it NOT work, the app just CLOSED. And this is after they UPDATED the app last night; before that, inputting the number worked just fine. I mean, this is exactly what I'm talking about. So now I can't ride a bike for the day! Which means more money in taxis. Is Mobike going to reimburse me? I don't think so. I've tried. And did I have to pay a 300 rmb deposit? Sure did. These guys need to get it together. Seriously.

I used Mobike while I was studying abroad in Shanghai. It was a great service and was truly convenient. The problems I faced didn’t happen until I tried to recover my deposit. I used a Chinese number to sign up for the service when I was in China, and have been unable to login using that phone number now that I have returned to the states. I have Made several attempts to contact the company about my deposit and not having access to my Chinese account, and have thus far been ignored. I never found a phone number to contact (they only have an email listed under customer support), and have had to rely solely on email. All attempts at contact have not been ignored. At this point I’ve accepted that I don’t think I will be recovering my (approximately) $45 deposit. If Mobike is reading this, please feel free to contact me to resolve this issue.

The mobike app is user friendly with a clean, simple, and easy to understand interface. All the functions work well, except the map: specifically if you are trying to zoom in or out. For some reason, the pin that shows your location is locked to a location on the screen and not a geographical location on the map. Once you try to zoom in or out when locating the nearest bike the app loses your location all together rendering the find closest bike function useless. i.e. it gives you directions from the wrong starting place, calculates the distance to the bikes incorrectly, etc. Other than that, great app
Prob unlocking a 2nd Bike

Both my husband and I wanted to ride so my husband downloaded the app. He got one unlocked but the second bike would t unlock so I had to go through the whole download and enter cc etc... 15 minutes later we finally got to ride. There should be a way for one phone to unlock multiple bikes. Also instructions for use and lock should be clear. We didn’t know what to do once we were done. I discovered the lever to lock the bike on my own after a few minutes, but we came close to just waking away from them unlocked which might have have charged us $50 or more... Great concept and we enjoyed our ride but they need to make it easier to understand the steps and multiple bike users.

The first few times I used the app it was great! I’d use the app to find a bike, unlock it, and zoom off to where I needed to be. Problem is that most of the bikes I happen to find now are broken or won’t unlock. If this happens then in order to end the ride you have to report an issue. The problem with reporting issues is that your account is then frozen for an unspecified amount of time until they can investigate the claim. They need to get more maintenance people to fix these bikes and then change the app so your account isn’t frozen. I downloaded and used LimeBike instead. I don’t have time to go through various bikes to find one that works and I definitely don’t have time for a frozen account.

I happened to get a broke bike, and tried to end the trip. But probably because the app could tell I didn't move? It asked me to file a bike complaint. That's fine. But here is the deal: You file a complaint, your account is automatically frozen, you can't scan another bike or anything, you are just stuck there; you don't file a complaint, you can't end the trip, you still cannot scan other bike, you are stuck there. Really, I don't care that 1RMB from that trip, just want to get another bike and go! Don't know what their procedure designers are thinking... I got unfrozen after contacting the customer service, but that's definite not convenient. I ended up taking a taxi.
Bikes with no qr codes or numbers, or broken

Here in gz china, everyone seems to be obliterating or removing *all* the qr codes and numbers no one else can use a bike, I have seen at least 60+ bikes like this, there's probably more that have the codes gone that I haven't noticed, and the ones that do have intact numbers are frequently broken or have had parts stolen off of them(but not flagged as such, so you get a bike that might have no brakes, bell, seat or the chain falls off when you pedal... kind of irritating when it's the only bike with an intact number within a 10 minute walk.... the missing codes could easily be fixed by etching the bike's numbers deep into the metal of the frame, where it can't easily be removed or defaced... on the plus side... the app works great, even if the users don't...

What is with freezing accounts because a person does something good and reports a broken bike. That’s a gotta fix! I walked 500 m today before finding a bike that didn’t have a problem: broken seat, broken bell, handle bars upside down... granted the previous user left it like that but I didn’t report any of these because 1) my account would get frozen and 2) it takes too long. Last time I reported a broken bike it took 5 minutes ... luckily I have the Ofo app too. If my husband and I want to just go for a ride I should be able to unlock 2 bikes with one app. You have a deposit and my credit card! I want to know how far I ride not the 2m difference between where I started and ended. Also it would be a great addition to be able to revisit the actual route I took maybe I want to repeat it or share it with someone. Or maybe it’s a route I want to be sure not to repeat because it’s not passable!

Unlocking the bike went fine. When I finished I locked it again and figured that was that. The trip in the app wouldn’t end though. I cancelled the trip several times, sending probably 10 complaints to customer service before emailing them directly. I still haven’t heard back and the meter is running, so now I’ve paid 20€ for a 20 minute ride. Do I need to cancel my credit card?!? Complete garbage app, I will never use it again. Velib is better than this, good lord. Seriously, how can this app even be in the App Store?!? Seems like a hackathon project that should still be in beta. After all of that customer service couldn’t even manage to get back to me. Awful awful awful never again.

1. You get a message that you parked in a non parking zone and you have to pay $80 if you don't not move the bike in two hours.....but even if you move the bike in 5 mins they still do not reverse the charges... watch out! 2. The option of $20/month have a lot of restrictions which you will find the hard way :-( If you think you need a bike for more than an 45mins do not use these bikes, any other rental is cheaper. 3. With all the time restrictions and fees this turned out to be the most expensive bike rent I have ever made. 4. By the way, I tried to send a message to the complaint department before writing the review but they did not answer back !!!!!
Bikes rough, app glitchy

most bikes I rode in San Diego were in rough shape. Bumpy rides, wobbly seats and missing handlebar grips. App was very slow to update, a map of the 'service area' never appeared. I tried on two occasions to submit repair requests but the app would never allow me to submit, even with picture. Finally, I received a $5 fine for parking outside the service area. Fair, except I didnt see in the map where this was a problem and I received the message nearly 10 minutes after locking bike. Update: Mobike has been billing me $5 the past 4 months. No emails, way to even see my 'subscription' in the App. My recommendation is to hardpass in favor of a less predatory company. Transparency is king.

The app is kinda cool. But I suggest it needs some improvements. The colour of the reserved bike in the app must be different or that bike must be disappeared from the map till the moment it is free again. Sometimes the position of the bikes on the map is not correct. And besides, after all those reports for the costumer reports that I have made I have gained nothing and no difference have I noticed. So I guess it is worthless. Anyway, better than nothing? 22August 2018- After updating the app I notice and strongly mention that the usage and the app is getting worse. Besides, most of the bikes’ locations are not correct.

I loved this app, I used it everyday in Milan! the bikes are new, clean, light. is a perfect walk to wherever you want and park wherever you want. I am now in Australia, and I discovered that there is no Mobike here yet !! I would like to give a suggestion, who is in a country that still does not have mobike or that has few (like The inner city milan), have the option to make a donation asking to come to, and of course who donated to win some coupons 😋😋

This is a wonderful idea and clearly Mobike is the best of the rentals here in Berlin. The bikes are plentiful and unlocking the bikes takes about 30 seconds. But there are issues with bike location and also the riding experience. It’s great for getting from point A to point B but the bikes are heavy and not so fast. Also for a 178 cm man the seats don’t raise high enough. Also there are far too many small bikes (black basket)available versus the larger ones (orange baskets) and only a few have gears. Finally, there is really no guidance whatsoever about how to figure it out. Especially perplexing is the difference between the white background and orange background bike indications on the map. In the end, though, is the only real game in town and quite convenient in spite of all the problems. I would think that it will get better with each version.

This app is designed to collect a lot of your personal data for corporate use without internal safeguards. Once you pay for the deposit, it requires you submit a copy of your passport and then a photo of yourself with your passport information including passport number, date of birth and city of birth. You are told about this only after you have paid the deposit. Other bike sharing companies do not require this level of data gathering. As they say, if you are not paying for the product, you are the product! Also, frequently the bikes are broken. Delete!
Bike Malfunction

I rented one of these bikes on my lunch break with a co-worker to do some light exercise after lunch. I was on my bike for 12 minutes total when my bike locked up on me and I was unable to continue my ride. I tired unlocking my bike but didn’t have any luck. I had to rent an a tire new bike to make it back to my office. I have contacted customer service three different times and haven’t heard a word. It’s been almost two weeks. While I had my ride it was very enjoyable just wish I didn’t have to pay for two during a 30min trip.

A welcome addition to The Woodlands, Texas. And by far the best public bicycle concept I’ve ever seen. Main problem is how poor the map is. It simply doesn’t load a good functional map of where the bikes are - at least here. You seem to have to “zoom in” far enough for them to appear, and so if you want to do some planning you have to then scroll around the map way too zoomed in. Please fix this and then it would be 5 Stars.

Easy to ride and convenient to get to places around Tirana especially in the center area with the nee bike lanes. Bike has good brakes, headlight at night and a bell, seat is adjustable. Only thing that can be improved is to have more bikes available as a few times I had to walk for more than 5 minutes to find the next available bike.

Has been a game changer in DC and I prefer it to capital bikeshare I used to never bike, but now I ride whenever I come across a convenient bike, which is often. Bikes are very comfortable and have advanced engineering features. Unlocking them is surprisingly easy, fast, and painless.

That seems irrational. $100 for 30 minutes at a poor credit? Might as well take Green Bike. They even give you first ride free. Mobike won’t even let you see where the bikes are unless you top up your account. Ridiculous. Fair isn’t better either. Mobike, if you think you will continue to get users to use your bike at double or 100 times the normal amount for bad user credit, they will just go to another bike sharing platform. I hope you rethink that design aspect.

When locking the bike they don’t say you’re out of the zone. Only after you lock you find out you’re out of the zone, by then you need to pay 25 USD to unlock the bike again. When you pay in order to bring the bike into the zone, you get an out of service error.

I have used the service three times now and I’m really happy as far as the process goes. But here in Tirana, more bikes are definitely needed. It’s been more than three days now that I can’t find a bike close to me, they are all four or five blocks away. In the news there were promised like thousands of bikes but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

A great way to get around Mexico City. The ecobici bicycles are better but to get an account there requires all sorts of paperwork and waiting in line. But these bikes work fine if you don’t mind not going fast, and it’s super easy to get up and running, just an app and credit card.

So your with a friend and you want to ride bikes together. So you whip out your cell phone and card and log in and put up a deposit. The next thing you know is you can’t get two bikes at once with your friend. They need their own phone and card. So I had a choice, enjoy my bike ride and leave my friend in the dust, or remain a true friend and walk away. I am sure the Mom and Dad with three kids have it even harder. Not sure if the brain trust that came up with the bike rental procedure thought this through.

After riding the yellow bikes for a day in Berlin, we thought we’d try Mobike as well. My first ride wasn’t great. It was a single speed bike, and after I parked it, I was charged twice as much as promised: Eur 1 for a 7-minute ride. What’s worse is that the app then refused to refund my deposit or whatever is left of it, and my complaint to them went unanswered (so far - two days). It now basically asks me to drop another 5 Eur minimum - which I’m not going to do because I’m not interested in riding their bikes again!

I spend 2 days in Rotterdam and saw a bunch of these bikes at the train station. I signed up immediately. The problem was that there was non in my area each time I was searching for one. I was not off track or in an area remotely located. Just around the train station. I was able to rent it 1x purely cause I was walking by.. Would love my money back!

This app has stolen my credit card info and has been charging me $10 a month. I only used it one time for 1 hour. There is no way to contact this company other than customer service email. I sent an email regarding unauthorized charges. They responded asking for my phone number and when I replied I got a notice that they blocked my email address. Tried the next day. Same thing. Blocked. DON’T USE THIS APP. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND TAKE YOUR MONEY.

Until today I’ve been very happy. About a month and a half ago I signed up for a “90-day unlimited use” program, and have used the bikes frequently and have been very satisfied. Until today. Today I tried to use the bike and was told that I have used more than 1200 minutes of riding, and have to top up 390 baht to continue use. It’s not the price that’s the problem, it’s the trust. If you want customers, stick by your offers.

The bikes are cumbersome, hard to use and extremely inefficient. They often have serious mechanical issues (pedals that are not attached to the bike chain, gears that don’t work). Given how heavy and difficult to maneuver these bikes are, they also feel extremely dangerous when riding in the street. I will absolutely never be using this company again and recommend that anyone interested in bike share avoid Mobike.

I’m an American studying in China. This app is very convenient and easy for a foreigner like me to use. The “monthly pass” is also extremely cheap and extremely convenient (the first two hours of every bike ride free? Sign me up!) Overall, a great app.

This is a really good service and I use Mobike as my cardio to and from the gym but I‎t seems that in Washington DC they have taken every bike out of the city. The GPS says there are none in the whole entire city. If that is the case Mobike should refund the balance that is in your account.

Bikes are no fun to ride, they are really bad quality IMO, but signing up and using it is really easy and it’s very inexpensive compared to other services. Cool that you can leave it anywhere and not really have to “lock” it.

1 star isn’t fair because the app so so broken I can’t get on the actual bike. First. Why they obsession with a phone number? It makes the service unusable for tourists from another country. And then if you can get past that somehow you can’t top up the account. And no error prompt of why not. Just a “payment failed” message. For seemingly no reason. Yikes... how did you guys get investors?

It’s not the best one. It’s decent. More cons than pros. Only Pro lol: The seat adjustment is EASY!!! Large orange handle, squeeze and your done. Even has measured increments that click as you go, making it easier to adjust to a specific height. Cons: -MUST LOAD $5 INCREMENTS. Boo! I really just want to pay as I go. -more expensive than others -Handle bars are awkward in relation to your position -only 3 speeds -map needs some TLC -no customer service number to talk to :( Lime does and its instantaneous! After my $5 is up - I’m passing on these. Ofo(the yellow) or Lime(the green) is way easier and nicer. More pleasurable experience.

Safety concerns

Mobibike is an excellent concept for sure. I like the ability to be able to pick up the bike anywhere and more importantly just drop it off anywhere. I have great concerns about its safety, however, because bicycle does not have a rear lighted tail lamp. This seems like a great oversight on behalf of the company because similar services such as lime bike and other traditional docked bikeshares incorporate automatic illuminated front and rear lights built into all the bicycles.

1. Bikes are all too small for taller people 2. App will freeze when unlocking bike and then take a long time to recover 3. Bikes often broken and will not unlock 4. GPS on bikes is poor, bike locations are approximate making bikes hard to find. This also means that if you park next to a “no parking” zone, it may decide that your bike is in the “no parking” zone and warn/fine you, when in actual reality the bike is not in the zone.

Took family of 7 to the park to ride. Wanted to use my account to unlock (and pay for) all 7 bikes as not everyone in the group can charge to their phones (minors). Nope. Nicht. Nein. Nanna. Can’t do it. One phone, one app, one bike. Really? This service is best for single riders or a couple. Family or group rides where one person (or a company) wants to pay for all should wait for, or find, a better service.

It’s a wonderful idea if you want to spend more time searching for a bike than actually biking. The downtown DC area reeks havoc on the GPS system, so bikes are nowhere near where the app thinks they are. When I finally found one, the seat would not raise high enough for me to comfortably ride (I’m 6’-3”) and the bike refused to shift to anything but third gear. A novel idea for a bike-share system, but too many bugs to rely on it at this point.

I rode Mobike once by giving them my credit card info not realizing that they would be debiting my account monthly for 9.90€!! I signed into my app thinking I could stop the debit by closing my account -wrong ! Can’t be done. I think there needs to be a clearer understanding of what you are actually signing up for when you use their services/app. I am very frustrated and upset.

Every day I get asked to enter my name phone number and country of origin along with the picture of my passport twice and I keep having to do it over and over and over and over and over every single day. It’s really highly annoying. It’s easier to just put a deposit on another bike up like OFO.
