Crashed twice
by KidsEyeDoc99 on 2019/12/01 15:58
Experience getting the photo and review was good but it crashed and I lost the photo when trying to save - not once but twice. Fortunately the second time the email made it out before it died.
Bedsheet = white background
by chincchin on 2019/11/27 00:49
As several reviewers suggested, I used a white bedsheet as my background to take the photo at home. Genius! At first it didn’t look good because I didn’t iron the sheet. Once I ironed it, the background looked nice and crisp. The lighting can be tricky at home but after a few attempts I got a couple good photos. We were so happy we could avoid taking the photo at the pharmacy and save money at the same time. Thanks for making the app!
Easy to use but one suggestion
by Richbern on 2019/11/09 04:06
Super easy to take pictures and have them meet the requirements. My suggestion though is to either let me save the 6 per sheet without going through email or let me take more than one person’s picture and stitch them together on the 6-up.
Could be great.
by Readycat on 2019/11/08 02:58
Hi, this is a good app but it could be GREAT if we can use the flash with it. Other apps has option to use flash on the phone.
Excellent app
by preeeeeeeeeetha. on 2019/11/07 23:11
1) It is completely free 2) Follow the simple guidelines and it will save two 2x2 photos in a single photo on your iPhone. 3) Download Walgreens photo app; select this photo (that actually contains two 2x2 photos). Do not change anything, select the standard 4x6 photo to print for $0.39 4) Submit for printing from your home, go pickup in an hour! Come home and cut it and you get two beautiful passport photos for $0.39 5) You should be glad you downloaded this app. Go around acting smart with your spouse or girl friend (or boy friend)!
Passport Accepted!
by kworthington on 2019/11/07 15:33
I was nervous as well. As long as you follow the photo instructions, make sure you’re up against a white background with good lighting (minimal shadows); you can absolutely take and print your own photo! Printed mine at a local pharmacy for all of 0.34, stapled to my application that I was notified was just approved today :) complete money saver
App doesn’t work on iPad
by gdfbb from wh on 2019/11/07 12:17
The app worked fine on my iPhone (pending receipt of the picture) but when I tried it earlier on my iPad it took the photo but wouldn’t let me order online.
Thank You!
by Airedales4ever on 2019/10/19 13:51
I read the tips in the users’ comments so this App was very straightforward to use. It takes a little experimentation with your printer settings to get everything just right. 4x6 photo paper gives a variation in passport photo size when choosing between border & borderless (borderless worked best for me). My only real difficulty was finding a white wall with decent natural lighting in my home. I wish this app had existed for my previous passport photos. Thanks Dev!
Buggy on the IPhone 10
by 38snubnose on 2019/10/15 04:29
It worked great until I upgraded my phone to the IPhone 10. Now the app just locks up. I have to close it and then go back in to be able to print. Kinda aggravating.
Cheap and easy method for an approved photo
by WillAppleApproveThisName on 2019/10/02 17:00
This app works well and I was happy to take the photo at home. Walgreens was strict about the defunct no smiling rule. I pointed to the U.S. Dept. of State website that mentions a natural smile is acceptable and smiled anyways, but Walgreens’ software declined the photo because it was “too toothy.” I left the store and decided to give this app a shot using a white sheet and it worked! Not only does it save money, but I now have a passport with a photo I actually like. The photos are correctly formatted and I was able to pick them up at Walgreens after submitting them through Walgreens’ app. For those in the U.S., I received my non-expedited passport in just under a month (9/6-10/2) but luckily we weren’t having any gov’t shutdowns. The only feature I wish it had was an optional flash but it still works great!
Saved me Time & Money
by deby_thais on 2019/09/25 00:30
This app has saved me time and money on passport photos. It's very easy to use and very handy. Fast, simple and straightforward!
Go to Walgreens but only pay $.50 cents
by Bigguy2109 on 2019/09/10 18:28
Just pay for a small pick and not $15. You guys are awesome.
Easy!
by Palldoc on 2019/09/10 17:26
Very straightforward and user-friendly. I liked that I could preview each try until I got one I could live with. We’ll see how the printing goes - I used the Walgreen’s app and ordered two 4x6 prints, one of 2 photos and another of 6, less than a buck for both prints! Thanks!
Saved me $60 for pics for the family
by ekukinet on 2019/09/08 22:18
Overpaying for one photo isn’t too bad. But when you have a family it really adds up. Thank you for making this app!
Free and Fast!
by CJMop on 2019/09/03 14:46
Thank you for making this app available for free. It does what it says, let’s you easily take and set up passport photos for printing. Please keep app updated so it continues to work with new iOS. This should be the number one passport photo app! Thank you!
Great alternative to high priced passport photo services!
by Gingergal74 on 2019/08/15 02:20
Took my own passport renewal pic using this app with an iPhone 8. Sent to my local Walgreens to be printed on photo paper (cost me less than $1) and voila! Sent off my renewal and received my renewed passport without any difficulty. Thanks for a quality app that’s user friendly!
Much better than others
by Dmswnrkd2013 on 2019/08/04 11:21
This app is fantastic. Just take photo from white background and save it. You can whiten the photo with other photo app. Then you are all set to print!
App changed background color
by vjlabbott on 2019/07/25 21:47
I sat in front of a white background but app changed it to blue.
Didn’t work
by manczyk on 2019/07/25 21:27
Took my picture, paid and sent it in, only to be rejected by passport office. I feel like money was wasted. Had to go to Walgreens!
End photos were too big
by MatureGamer on 2019/07/23 14:17
Easy to use interface. Printed set on 5x7 at Kodak kiosk in drug store. Resulting images are too big for passport application. I can trim the photo down to the 2” square, but the face is bigger than the 1 3/8” required so ended being just a waste of time and money and I have to start over.
I like it but..
by Fatsack243 on 2019/07/23 02:08
I really like this app but every time I try printing the photo on the 4x6 setting it prints the photos 2.25x2.25
Lost Photos
by Abziegail on 2019/07/18 02:37
I took several photos and selected save to my phone. NONE of them saved. Frustrated. Didn’t realize until later when I went to buy them.
Not accepted
by Borislav1 on 2019/07/14 10:42
The pictures were returned as not legible.
100% recommend
by augustana's #1 fan! on 2019/06/30 03:03
Used this app for my passport photo. It was easy to use and... the photo was accepted! Just received my renewed passport today. Will definitely be telling my family and friends about this app!
You can’t beat this app. It’s the best.
by Josh_Jboi on 2019/05/30 06:37
What can I say? I used this app when I wanted to apply for my passport because I didn’t want to pay the ridiculous prices charged by the pharmacy outlets. Was willing to pay the post office price but you have to book an appointment. Time was not my friend. I simply used a bedsheet held by two people and I took a selfie. Tried several times to get it right tho. I then went to go print at Walgreens and the attendant told me everything to discourage me. She literally wanted me to take another photo and pay the ridiculous price. I stood my ground and hoped for the best. Wala! It was accepted! Less than $1 for 4 2x2 compared to like $25. Thank you for developing this app and for making it easily accessible.

by Amazing Dev on 2019/05/22 12:44
App is good but need to option for the flash because the picture get dark without flash. Otherwise it’s good it saves your lot of money you can print 2 pic for only $0.50 instead $7-15 for outside.
Don’t print at Walgreens!!
by Happybooker1 on 2019/05/11 23:15
They asked me if these were passport photos and when I said yes, they said they were considered “professional” photos & couldnt be sold to me. Something about they’d get audited & lose their jobs n could be fined $2K per pic. Try it at Walmart. And use the white poster board behind it.
Not enough options
by hshfkdve on 2019/04/25 22:44
Why is there BOT an option for a single image? I always get a file with 2 photos. I need 1 image for an E-visa application. If I needed 2, why wouldn’t I just PRINT 2 of the same photo? For gods sake...
Look no further
by blueboo95 on 2019/04/21 06:09
First tried the first app that pops up “Passport Photo - ID Photo.” They make you pay for color version which is needed for US passport. Tried this app - easy, straightforward, free. It converts it into 2 pics on a 4x6 size so no editing necessary. Fifty cents later at the photo center and I’m done. I was concerned seeing it on my phone that the resolution wasn’t adequate but when I printed and saw in person it’s fine. I’ll update if my application is denied :)
Amazing app
by Karoline Fischer on 2019/04/20 15:55
This is a really great and easy app to take passport pictures. Especially for our child. We appreciate that from the convenience of your own home you can take passport pics. Amazing idea. We love it.
Passport app sent back, time and money wasted
by lrnprksn on 2019/04/16 14:38
Save the headache and get this done legitimately. The photo and application were sent back due to a problem with the photo. Now to spend more time and money on a photo and postage.
Missing option to take other sized photos
by xhoangx on 2019/04/12 08:54
Great app but only takes 2x2in. No other options like 4x6cm which are required in some countries. Would be 5 stars if so.
Great app but only need one photo
by JUS4KXS on 2019/03/30 00:37
I like the app and it worked, but my recent application only needed one photo. Not sure when two photos would be needed. Might consider updating to one or two photo format. Also, it would be nice to include a format with the staple location marks included on the print like seen on the application.
Color...
by <3<3<3zzzzz on 2019/03/26 12:29
Great interface, super easy, however I couldn’t get the background white even standing at Walgreens using their screen. Allowing flash within this app would help a lot.
Saved me 50$
by gleanner on 2019/03/14 00:50
Thank you for creating this app. I have never written an app review before but this app saved me! I had to expedite passports on all 5 people in my family which was $$$. I couldn’t stand spending 10 bucks a piece on pictures. I was really hesitant to try this because I know how picky they are. I figured I would submit them at the post office and they could let me know if there was going to be a problem. They took all of them! I printed them out at home too so no charge for that either. You do have to look at the pictures on the passport website and make sure your pictures aren’t under or overexposed or have shadows. I found natural light was best and move away from the wall if you have shadows. Perfect! Thanks!
GREAT APP!
by Kelise929 on 2019/02/23 18:41
AMAZING and I never write reviews for apps, but thank you so much for the ease of use and saving me so much money on passport photos! Yay!
Great app! Save $
by Parimosa on 2019/02/22 17:21
I’ve used it twice now. Very easy to use. Sent the picture to get printed at Walmart and only paid a few cents.
Great App
by AndrewMoss on 2019/02/20 03:26
This app is great. It will generate your 4x6 that you can get printed for less than $.25 around the corned (printing is not part of the app). Only thing that would make it better is if you could us a picture from your camera roll.
Saved me $15.
by Jasyjess on 2019/02/14 21:44
What a helpful app.
Love the selfies!
by mq31234 on 2019/02/12 23:36
Very convenient. Super cost efficient. Must have!
Actually useful app
by pyippy on 2019/02/12 21:02
I don’t usually leave app reviews but for a change, this app was actually useful. It got the job done without hassle. My passport photo is done.
Beats any stores!
by Alpal0208 on 2019/02/09 23:51
I tried getting my passport photo at cvs but the quality was bad so I decided to give this app a try. I had my doubts but the photo came out great. Not sure why I started with cvs, had I known, I would have just used this app first.
One stop shop
by Traveler from NYC on 2019/02/09 00:24
I took my last passport photo at a ID photo shop and had a terrible experience - the photo looked awful and the employee didn’t care. After that bad experience I took the photo myself and then printed it a Duane reader and has to pay a whopping $11 even though I took the pic myself. This time around I checked the App Store and tried a couple different apps. The first one I tried wanted to charge me a fee just to take a color photo. I deleted that one right away then tried this one. Guess what - no fee to take the photo. Then I printed it myself and it came out awesome (after a few a retakes to get everything looking right). I highly recommend Passport Booth and will definitely use it next time.
simple saved me time and money
by mrsp6 on 2019/02/08 23:57
i just needed to renew my passport so i downloaded this app, took a few different versions of the photo until i got one that i like then ordered a print. I submitted it and got my passport a short while later. It does what it says and its much cheaper than taking the pic at the pharmacy (without any attitude). thank you!
Don’t waste your money
by jen22317 on 2019/02/07 17:27
I ordered two “passport” sized photos and the photos that were delivered were much bigger and won’t be acceptable. And now they won’t respond or give me a refund. BEWARE
Fast and easy passport photo
by Youngsny on 2019/02/02 22:25
Update: I’ve used the app for several different things in the past so I wanted to update to my review. I originally used it for my passport photo which came out fantastic. It took a bit of effort getting the lighting right since I don’t have a good setup at home. Instead I took a pic in front of a white board at the office. I’ve always hated going to the pharmacy to take photos bc if I want to retake the photo I get the look of death. And then if I want a second set of prints they somehow think it’s ok to charge another almost $14-15! Anyway, I later used the app again for a visa for myself and a few friends I was traveling with. I also tried some other apps and those will charge you a fee just to have color photos emailed. This app does it for free.
Simple, Useful and Effective
by Bmohanty on 2019/02/02 19:23
This is an awesome app. Thank you for publishing. Beats the hell out of waiting in line or paying $15 for someone to click.
Great App for printing your own Passport photo
by Calvinmw on 2019/02/01 22:16
This was so incredibly easy to use. And it worked perfectly. I printed my photo at Walmart for 50¢. I simply saved them from the app to my phone and then uploaded them to my Walmart.com account. Paid for them online and they were ready 15 minutes later. It prints 2 of the same passport photos on a 4x6 photo. Post office was happy with them.
Great!!
by skirtgirl! on 2019/01/30 19:15
Using this app is so much better than any other method. I get the best picture...after dozens of shots. It is important to me to have a nice looking photo since my passport will be around for years.
Love it!

Great app
by Ertle J on 2019/01/18 03:40
Works great, just as advertised. Between my wife and I, saved 30-40 bucks on passport photos. Got ours for less than $1.00. No problems with acceptance of the pictures. I highly recommend.
Terrible
by thriller4444 on 2019/01/16 16:04
I utilized this app, followed all the parameters and boundaries. 3 weeks later, denial from passport and had to go to cvs and now pay expedited fee for passport renewal. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that knows how to meet requirements up front. This is waste of time and costs you a lot more in the end
Can’t upload photo
by ZKwy on 2019/01/11 09:10
This app only takes the photo from your camera. It doesn’t allow you to upload photos in your album already. Very disappointing!
Save your money with this simple passport app!
by Mmarcott on 2019/01/01 18:15
I have 3 family members that needed passports. Paying $15 each , $45 total seemed crazy to me! So I searched and found this great free app! It makes it simple to take the correct passport photo. It creates 2 photos that you print on 4 x 6 at your local print shop. Easy.
Why can’t you use the flash??
by Tec14385904&994 on 2018/12/31 02:47
Great app if you could use the camera flash. Without a flash you can’t get a white background so none of our pics would work
SO easy!
by Meja384 on 2018/12/24 14:54
LOVE this app! It makes the whole process so easy. No guesswork. They even drew an outline for u to stick ur head in when u take ur selfie. And automatically create a 4x6 of 6 of ur photos and u just go on Walgreens.com or whatever site and upload the photo. And then it’s ready for pick up in a few hours or have them ship to u. I picked mine up for like 12 cents for 6 passport pictures. Thank you for saving me money and time! Great app!
No service
by octraveler on 2018/12/15 17:32
App is simple enough to use but there is zero customer support which is a Problem because I paid for photos and it has been three weeks with no delivery. Just a black hole
Photo hasn’t arrived and poor service
by Thor Luna on 2018/12/12 01:24
Poor quality app and service. Was hoping for a photo that would arrive in a reasonable time. It’s almost been 2 weeks and photo has not arrived. Instead of a prompt action, All was sent was the tracking information. The information was wrong and did not solve any issues. Go to FedEx. It’s faster and more efficient.
Not good
by wildcard-Jax on 2018/12/11 14:53
Emailing the photo did not work. The send button would stay greyed out no matter what I did, and it otherwise will only save in a format that no one would use.
Works great, free
by Jakertakert on 2018/11/11 23:06
Finally an app that works. It’s free, you can download the photo straight to your phone, and there aren’t any gimmicks. Wish you could use a flash within the app, but otherwise a great option.
No Mail Account Error
by mukesh.desai on 2018/11/08 23:08
After previewing the pictures, clicking the “Send Email” button gives the error. It says “Please set up a Mail account.....” but it is not clear how one sets up the mail account. Pictures can be saved and sent by text and email options.
Saved me almost $30! Better than cvs
by chrissyTjefferson on 2018/11/04 04:34
Super simple, just point shoot and took the photo. Needed photos for the kids and this got the job done. Thanks for making it easy!

Godsend
by Krysia0 on 2018/10/13 21:21
It was painless, quick and easy to take Passport pictures od my kiddies. If you can follow directions, you are done. I think only rejected pictures are od those who cant read the requirements.
Don’t use for official documents unless you’re going to RESIZE!!!
by MeowingKitten6 on 2018/10/08 21:10
US passports require a 2” x 2” photo and while the app says that’s what it’s set up to output as, the dimensions aren’t correct and your photo will be rejected
Something really went smooth
by 744576( on 2018/10/08 00:10
Needed passport pics to renew and download this app. Picked the 4x6 size (6 - 2x2 shots) and downloaded A photo that I took of myself with this app to my desktop. Then went to Walgreens online ordered one print. Picked up the print, cut it into the 2x2 required passport size and had six passport photos for 39 cents. It doesn’t often go this smooth.

Update for iPhone x plz
by Royorbs3 on 2018/09/14 18:59
The UI Seems to not fit iPhone x that well. Was hard to turn the camera to front facing and the back button took a few tries too as they are both up in my status bar I guess. Otherwise pretty sweet and 10x better than paying $15 at CVS
Works great

Rarely write app reviews
by Ed from CA on 2018/08/19 20:40
Rarely write app reviews but this one was so simple and easy and a huge cost saver. Snapped a photo, emailed with 6 to a page. Sent it over to CVS and had two prints done in an hour. Total cost $0.66 for 12 passport photos.
Wrong size
by Billywas on 2018/08/15 18:12
The picture printed was not 2x2. It was just a little smaller. Tried 4 different times on 4x6 photo paper. I printed on HP printer from email.
100% A+
by Nibbles Wilbur on 2018/08/14 18:23
I just downloaded and used this for the first time. I just saved the picture to my phone and uploaded it to CVS. It cost me $0.33 Vs. $15.00 for them to take my photo. I highly recommend this app!
Distorted picture
by djvdejcd on 2018/08/12 23:18
As another reviewer mentioned , the face looks distorted. Used iPhone 8. Chin on chin line. Top of head within silhouette. Has that “selfie” look to it even though someone else took photo of me. Probably because photo taker has to hold camera so close.
Cheaper, Better, Easier
by coltonredwine on 2018/08/08 21:34
I went to Walgreens and saw the tired employee that I would likely be paying $15 to take my photo. So, I downloaded this app, took my photo against a white wall in an Old Navy store next door, downloaded the Wallgreens app, and used it to upload and print the 4x6 photo for $.30. All of that only took 30 minutes. I then just used scissors to cut out my photo and boom, I had a passport photo that turned out what I’m sure would have been far better than what I would have gotten from the Walgreens employee. The app is easy to use and gives great instruction. Spits out a pair of 2x2 photos for a 4x6 print. Tweak the brightness and contrast a bit afterwards, and you’ve got a high-quality passport photo.
Super easy—NO guessing!
by SassAct /Denise on 2018/08/07 15:25
It’s making my job easier, helping get a team ready to travel internationally for the first time. Lots of requirements for passport and visa photos & this has been a godsend! It shows you exactly how to place subjects in the screen to get photos that meet standards & automatically formats them in 2x2” format. Save to your camera/photo roll & it is automatically 2 pics in a 4x6 print format so you can upload and get it printed cheaply, wherever it is convenient for you! I’m getting 4x6 prints for as little as $0.25ea! No need to pay $5-$15 per passport photo at places which do them “professionally”!
Unusable photo
by Rob2ee on 2018/08/02 14:59
I followed the instructions exactly, received my photos, had someone at the post office cut the photo, sent in my application, and the photo was “unusable” per the Department of State. Boo this app! Money wasted.
App itself is great

Service after ordering, not so much. Expect to wait 7-9 days from the day you order and then don’t be surprised if your order is lost in the mail, only then to be told you’ll have to wait another 7-9 days for the replacement. Really? Your screw up and you can’t at least expedite shipping? No, thanks.
Save button doesn’t allow selecting a different format
by jefrey1f149 on 2018/07/18 00:05
The app does take a good picture but when I click on the Save button to save the image to my phone, there is no way to select a format other than the default which is two photos side-by-side. The strange thing is that the Email button does allow other format selections. This seems like a bug to me. ——— Update I expected that email and save would share the same formatting features. Seems like a design flaw. But I agree with you that the overall app deserves a higher rating

It works - just need to take multiple pics
by raspy10 on 2018/07/10 17:16
I first used this for making an emergency passport when my grandfather died - printed the pictures hang Target 1 hr photo and printed several to only spend less than $1 on the photos. The embassy accepted my pictures with no questions - although I did take several just in case. Given that positive experience, I also used this app to take pictures of my husband and 4 year old son for their passport - and it worked too! It was great that I was able to take as many pictures as I wanted before I chose the right one because my son is very squirmy and never stands still for anything. So this app was a total lifesaver. We now have our passports and are ready to travel :)
Don’t go to Walmart for printing!
by razeltg on 2018/07/08 11:26
This app is great! Very easy to use since if you don’t have someone to take it, it has a 3-second timer. Enough time for you to adjust your position after pressing the click button. Very well-thought app. I initially ordered my prints at CVS and paid a dollar and something for 5 4x6 prints (10 2x2 pictures). When I took my husband’s picture, I ordered the prints from a kiosk at Walmart while grocery shopping. Upon finalizing my order at the kiosk, it was telling me that 4 copies would be $1. But Lo and behold, the clerk manning the photo section told me to pay $29++ when I picked it up! She said that since it is a great passport photo, Walmart is charging it per picture and not per print. Crazy argument! Asked them to explain why since they did not take the picture but only printed MY PICTURE but they were not using their common sense at all. Walmart ended up shredding my pictures since I refuse to pay almost $30! DON’T GO TO WALMART!

This app made my life so much easier when I had to get to my mother’s passport photo taken to renew her green card. She has dementia and was not going to be able to leave her facility to get this done. I used a white projector screen as the background. Customer service was fantastic when I had a question. Overall, a great experience.

Customer service couldn’t have been better. Thanks. (3 star)

Having to renew my passport, I did not want to pay $10+ for a photo. Did a google search and came across this app. Took a few tries to get it right. Submitted photo through Walgreens app and printed for around 33 cents. Mailed in passport application and within a week got an email saying it was processed. A week later, got an email saying it was printed. I typically don’t write reviews but felt I needed to in this case. Get the app, follow the instructions and you can’t go wrong!
Baby Passport Picture
by CGN2018 on 2018/06/16 02:01
Having a little one who doesn’t want to sit still, much less look at the camera, made getting passport pics a challenge. Found this app and was able to take several passport pics of my little one in the comfort of my own home at a time that was convenient for us (when husband was home, after the baby had a nap, and was fed). Sent the pics to Target.com for printing. Only 29 cents per photo (2 pics are on a 4x6 photo). The app formats the pics for you. Picked up the pics the same day. Very convenient. This app was perfect for our family. Highly recommend!

by Matatutia on 2018/06/15 17:49
This app is good EXCEPT when I printed it at Walgreens the background came out blue. The app developers should have a warning about that. And the description didn’t mention that your hair has to be tucked in behind your ears. Smh.

Only does US Passport size
by bamboo Tom on 2018/06/03 05:45
If doing intentional visas it may not do the right size. Quick reply from developer led to revision of rating, but still people should know it’s tailored to U.S. passport specifications and may not be the right size for some international visas.

I was so excited to see this app. Made it cheaper and easier to get my passport photo done. That’s until I received the rejection email due to my photo not measuring properly. My trip is less than a week away (sent the application in with 7 weeks time to process so I thought I’d be fine) and it’s looking like I’m going to have to cancel. Will not use again! Save yourself the trouble and spend the $15 to get it done at Walgreens.

Me, my husband and our son all needed passports at the same time. Getting our pictures done at the post office was gonna be $15 a pop - $45 for all 3! No way! We used this app to take perfectly sized pictures for our passports. I sent them to be printed on 4x6s at Walgreens for a grand total of 99 cents! This app was incredibly easy to use and saved us $44! Get it!

by Joce_xo on 2018/04/19 03:45
I spent $15 at Walgreens to have my passport photo taken for me. The employee seemed really tired and fed up, so I was scared to ask to have my picture retaken. I looked awful and was really upset how it came out. Passport photos are stuck with you for 10 years. Feeling really unhappy with the one that was taken for me at Walgreens (not to mention the ridiculous price), I downloaded this app and thought “there’s no harm in trying this out.” Due to poor lighting in my house, I took my own photo at school while standing in front of a plain white wall under the fluorescent lights in the hallway. Yes you read that right. I took the photo myself. It took a couple of tries to position my shoulders and extend my arm in a way to where it didn’t look obvious that I was taking a “selfie.” What’s great about this app is that the outline (where you keep your face in place) is completely accurate and the app saves two identical 2x2’s in a single frame just like the ones at Walgreens. I uploaded the photo onto the Walgreens app which costed less than a dollar to have them print it. I stapled that baby onto the passport application and prayed that they wouldn’t find a reason not to accept it. Luckily, they did!! This app works and I’m so glad it exists.

Perfect! Thanks!

Pleasantly surprised - multi use

12/14 update based on new version: First off I didn't know apps like this existed. All my life I have been wasting money at Walgreens for passport photos and at premium prices. And what's worse is the Walgreens photo shooters have taken photos that did not fit the standards. With this app I can keep retaking as many times as I want until I get the perfect settings. After all this is going in your passport so you deserve to be as picky as you want. Don't like your smile in that one, retake w a push of a button. It also works for visa photos too. Finally I also use this to create collages. I doubt anyone would use it for this feature but it was a pleasant surprise.
Are you kidding me!?!?

12/26 Update:Just when I thought v1 couldn't get any better, they release v3. My panties got wet when I saw an update was available! (Jk). I don't really use the new features but maybe one day when I have the need. For now I'll stick w the original features... Tough to teach an old dog new tricks. Here is my original review of v1.0: Not sure why this app is called passport booth because I have used this for multiple purposes. I got a visa because of this and renewed my passport. Then I used it for other photos which I created a collage and used as my phones background. Unbelievably cheap pricing for the lazy who want the photos shipped. Otherwise it's free when you do it yourself.

by Fatcat54321 on 2017/07/02 11:57
I was a little reluctant to use this app, considering how picky they are about the passport photo. I ended up giving it a try. I used to big white blanket and had all of my children and husband sit outside to get a clear pic. You must take off all accessories and make sure there are no shadows. The white background looks a little off-white but they were still OK. I submitted all six and got the family our passports in two weeks. No issues. The only way that this app can be improved is to allow a filter to brighten & whiten the background.I will use again. Saved me about $80!!

I used the first version of this app last year for my passport renewal and it simply worked flawlessly. I saved about $10. The update made the app even easier to use. I love the chin and head guiding lines and the double checking screen is a great feature. 5 stars for this app and I have already recommended this app to my friends that ask me where to take passport photos. I tell them to do it on their phones :) Update: loving the new feature where i can save the photos straight to my camera roll and preview them much easier. 5 stars again for this app.

So easy to use. Great instructions. User friendly. 25% of the cost anywhere else. Quick delivery. Is there more? Yes... there was a slight shadow in one of my pics. The Passport Booth support department contacted me by email saying that the picture may not be acceptable to the US passport office (shadows are not good). I was advised to retake the pictures even thought they had already printed and mailed the "bad" pics. They said that there would be no charge if I resubmitted the original order. I did and within 24 hours I was credited with a refund. I only hope that other developers follow the lead of this company. You guys are the best !!!
Very Satisfied
by Treethatownsitself on 2017/07/29 19:25
Needed a photo quickly after the one created by the Fedex Center was deemed to dark to be acceptable. This worked out perfectly. Took the photos on my phone then sent them straight to be delivered at a local drugstore. Note that with an iPhone the photos are sized to come out 2"x2" when printed as a 4"x6" photo (although the photo did print slightly darker/more yellow than it appeared on my phone, so watch out for that if you print locally). Wish I had used the app in the first place rather than wasting time & money getting them made elsewhere.
Very handy app
by luckylady412 on 2017/04/12 13:42
Taking the picture was great – super easy and the option to take multiple images until you get one you like. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that I was never given the option to upload it to a Walgreens or CVS store. Only the mail order option for 5.95. No big deal, just would've preferred the other since it was advertised that way.
Thank You!
by Airedales4ever on 2019/10/19 13:51
I read the tips in the users’ comments so this App was very straightforward to use. Thanks Dev!

Cost $0.36 instead of $14 - love it! Took MANY shots till I got the one I liked, just be warned that if you want to keep some pictures to compare, you must save each one immediately after taking it. App doesn't store previous photos that I could tell. But that's easy enough to do via What's App. Ordered the double photos in a 4x6 from Walgreens for a total of 36 cents. Only need to cut them. Will share this with family & friends!
Bedsheet = white background
by chincchin on 2019/11/27 00:49
As several reviewers suggested, I used a white bedsheet as my background to take the photo at home.
Works as Promised
by ChristmasStory4555 on 2016/12/25 17:04
Bold claims and bold results. Just make sure that the lighting is appropriate for the "final" pic you decide to go with. I reviewed my wife's final pic before she submit for processing and delivery and I had her redo it. (She tends to have a problem w following directions). Anyway, make sure there are no shines or shadows anywhere on your face and that's the true test of perfection. Delivery time was approx 5 business days for me but clearly this is YMMV based on your location.
Not that great
by JandMilo on 2017/03/08 07:46
The recent reviews are so gushy, I smelled a rat. I agree that it's nice being able to take multiple pics. And doing it yourself rather than paying someone else such an inflated price is on target. But none of the raves mention the part that is actual work--the part the critical reviews DO mention, and that's getting the pic you like actually printed. Nope, Walgreens does not have a 2x2 option. Also, this app could be improved if it automatically had the required non-textured white background. It's a good start, but not worth the gush.
Great money saver!

I have very few apps on my phone and have never written a review for one, but Passport Booth is so awesome I have to. I have spent so much money on passport photos over the years, but no more. For my last passport renewal, my son took my photo with the app and I paid 47 cents to print it at Walgreens. I was a little nervous when I submitted it to the State Department, but I just got my passport back after only three weeks! Thank you!
Excellent app!!!

This is the proud product of my friend, who is passionate and serious about traveling around the world. Knowing that he created this app for passport photos, I know he must have researched and designed it in a way that would pass the bar of the toughest critic - himself. I tested it and loved it. A tool with no nonsense, gets the job done, and most importantly, designed intuitively. I wish more apps are like this out there.

My girlfriend and I used this to take our passport photos when we recently renewed our passports. We printed 'em at Walgreens for a total of 59 cents, instead of $12-15 per person passport photo joints charge. We received our updated passports back tonight with the pictures we took using this app. Huge savings of time, money, and hassle. Well done!

Instead of going to Riteaid and paying more, I was able to take my passport photo on my app and save money. I already recommended it to all my colleagues.

Get it!
Great idea but....
by jprokos on 2017/09/01 02:35
Taking a photo that close to someone's face will give a really distorted wide angle image. No way to pinch to zoom, so we can stand a bit further back? Not sure government will accept this. It certainly doesn't look like the long compressed lens shot shown of the studio lit blonde. Adding a star for responsiveness of developer. But for people with tiny heads (like children) this app will create a fisheye effect due to the wide angle of the iPhone lens. If you have a 2x lens adapter it would probably work perfectly.
Great app!
by Whuh on 2017/10/31 14:55
I recently used this app not only for taking pp photos, but having them printed. I originally planned to print them myself, but technical difficulties forced me to go to Plan B. The app is easy to use and the photos showed up as promised in about a week, all without having to leave the house. I'll definitely use this service again!
simple saved me time and money
by mrsp6 on 2019/02/08 23:57
i just needed to renew my passport so i downloaded this app, took a few different versions of the photo until i got one that i like then ordered a print. I submitted it and got my passport a short while later. It does what it says and its much cheaper than taking the pic at the pharmacy (without any attitude). thank you!
Works great!
by Reagles14 on 2018/07/06 14:20
This app made my life so much easier when I had to get to my mother’s passport photo taken to renew her green card. She has dementia and was not going to be able to leave her facility to get this done. I used a white projector screen as the background. Customer service was fantastic when I had a question. Overall, a great experience.

Easy and useful! I needed some quick prints since I had to rush renewal of a passport (don't wait until the last minute, but if u have to renew a passport there are places that will renew on same day as long as you have your photos ready.) Got my prints super timely, got my passport the next day and off I went! Pictures were clean as wel.
User friendly, convenient, time saving app
by Jerms2016 on 2016/12/16 14:44
This is by far the best passport photo application I've used! The interface is incredibly user friendly, and so far I've had no issues. If you're looking for an easy to use gimmick free app that does exactly what it's supposed to do, look no further. A must have for every phone!
Super easy and fun to use
by PinkDoodle on 2016/12/30 11:46
Wish I knew about this sooner. Works, easy, and free. Doesn't get better than this. Love that I can retake a picture over again until I get the perfect shot. When I go to a store to take pics I'm never happy with the way it turns out but I'm stuck with it because I've already paid!
Where are my prints?
by dr_moo_man on 2018/06/25 06:32
Been waiting for about a month for my prints to show up... my address was I put correctly and everything. The order status has not changed since May 5th. I ended up buying passport photos somewhere else. Not impressed. (1 star) Update: The team refunded me for my passport photos and was prompt, cordial, and efficient at that point. Customer service couldn’t have been better. Thanks. (3 star)
Saved so much time!
by Dana0225 on 2016/12/21 22:20
This app is so helpful. Before I found it I had no idea where to go to get my passport pic done. All I knew was Walgreens photo and I had to fight the crowds and wait in line. This is so much better. The picture quality is great and the easy platform makes the experience really smooth.
Easy.
Easy to use but photo was rejected
by Rain cutie on 2017/07/26 12:48
The app was easy to use and provided good quality pictures. Unfortunately it made the background a dark cream color even though we took pictures in front of a white wall and a white sheet. Took a chance and tried using them, but had to get pictures retaken because the background wasn't white. Developers, if you see this, please fix this!
Easy!
by Palldoc on 2019/09/10 17:26
Very straightforward and user-friendly. I liked that I could preview each try until I got one I could live with. We’ll see how the printing goes - I used the Walgreen’s app and ordered two 4x6 prints, one of 2 photos and another of 6, less than a buck for both prints! Thanks!
Where does the photo go??
by bthrptnwif on 2017/04/14 14:35
Read the reviews on this app and wanted to try it out b/c needed a photo. When you open the app it seems very intuitive as far as helping you compose the shot for a passport quality photo BUT once the photo is taken, hell if I know where to find the photo! It's not in the app and it's not anywhere in my iPhone camera roll. Perhaps user error but c'mon, meet me half way and make accessing the photo a little more intuitive. Deleted the app. Oh well.
Great app!
by Saltzywife on 2017/08/14 17:56
I went to a local store to get this done and 45 minutes later they still couldn't get it right. I left and found this app while looking for how to do them myself and this app is awesome! Took them in no time at all and the pic fits the requirements perfectly!

Crashed twice
by KidsEyeDoc99 on 2019/12/01 15:58
Experience getting the photo and review was good but it crashed and I lost the photo when trying to save - not once but twice. Fortunately the second time the email made it out before it died.
Bedsheet = white background
by chincchin on 2019/11/27 00:49
As several reviewers suggested, I used a white bedsheet as my background to take the photo at home.

Save the headache and get this done legitimately. The photo and application were sent back due to a problem with the photo. Now to spend more time and money on a photo and postage.
Missing option to take other sized photos
by xhoangx on 2019/04/12 08:54
Great app but only takes 2x2in. No other options like 4x6cm which are required in some countries. Would be 5 stars if so.

Yay!
Great app! Save $

Great App
by AndrewMoss on 2019/02/20 03:26
This app is great. It will generate your 4x6 that you can get printed for less than $.25 around the corned (printing is not part of the app). Only thing that would make it better is if you could us a picture from your camera roll.
Saved me $15.

Great!!

App itself is great
by halfempty1 on 2018/07/25 15:22
Service after ordering, not so much.

We used this app to take perfectly sized pictures for our passports. I sent them to be printed on 4x6s at Walgreens for a grand total of 99 cents! This app was incredibly easy to use and saved us $44! Get it!

Perfect! Thanks!

Very user friendly and great update

I used the first version of this app last year for my passport renewal and it simply worked flawlessly. I saved about $10. The update made the app even easier to use. I love the chin and head guiding lines and the double checking screen is a great feature. 5 stars for this app and I have already recommended this app to my friends that ask me where to take passport photos. I tell them to do it on their phones :) Update: loving the new feature where i can save the photos straight to my camera roll and preview them much easier. 5 stars again for this app.

Remarkable!!
by DelrayCPA on 2017/06/19 13:21
So easy to use.

Needed a photo quickly after the one created by the Fedex Center was deemed to dark to be acceptable. This worked out perfectly. Took the photos on my phone then sent them straight to be delivered at a local drugstore. Note that with an iPhone the photos are sized to come out 2"x2" when printed as a 4"x6" photo (although the photo did print slightly darker/more yellow than it appeared on my phone, so watch out for that if you print locally). Wish I had used the app in the first place rather than wasting time & money getting them made elsewhere.
Thanks Dev!
It works!
by Spaceace32 on 2018/06/23 23:03
Having to renew my passport, I did not want to pay $10+ for a photo.
Just what I wanted!!
by SunRab1 on 2017/11/15 17:30
Cost $0.36 instead of $14 - love it!
Bedsheet = white background
by chincchin on 2019/11/27 00:49
As several reviewers suggested, I used a white bedsheet as my background to take the photo at home.

Thank you!
Excellent app!!!
by Monkey111cow on 2018/02/09 18:12
This is the proud product of my friend, who is passionate and serious about traveling around the world. Knowing that he created this app for passport photos, I know he must have researched and designed it in a way that would pass the bar of the toughest critic - himself. I tested it and loved it. A tool with no nonsense, gets the job done, and most importantly, designed intuitively. I wish more apps are like this out there.
Worked for us!
by designatednerd on 2017/07/27 02:50
My girlfriend and I used this to take our passport photos when we recently renewed our passports. We printed 'em at Walgreens for a total of 59 cents, instead of $12-15 per person passport photo joints charge. We received our updated passports back tonight with the pictures we took using this app. Huge savings of time, money, and hassle. Well done!
What a great convenience!
by 2548462737 on 2016/12/26 17:18
The new version is even better. More user friendly. No complaints at all! I needed to get a passport photo in a short amount of time. I heard about this app and decided to give it a try. Instead of going to Riteaid and paying more, I was able to take my passport photo on my app and save money. I already recommended it to all my colleagues.
Save $$$$
by BerhFaith39 on 2018/04/20 19:06
Me, my husband and our son all needed passports at the same time.
Great app!
by Whuh on 2017/10/31 14:55
I recently used this app not only for taking pp photos, but having them printed.
