Offline download issue
by Mr.smoothe4242 on 2021/04/16 04:06
The app is great and all but every time my subscription runs out and then I proceed to pay for a new one, my downloads become inactive and unplayable and then I have to delete them and redownload them. I don’t know if they think this is funny or what, but they need to fix this ASAP!!! Edit: I think I had to wait a day, or maybe they fixed it after I wrote this review.
Huge selection of music but horrid app
by Angry McAdams on 2021/04/16 00:02
It’s not enough to dislike or remove songs from your playlists. The app will still keep inserting songs I’ve removed/disliked from my playlists with no way to get rid of them. And now when you shuffle your liked songs, the app will only play about 80 songs and omit the rest. The app also deletes anything you download for offline listening so what’s the point of including a download feature? No other app has the wide selection of music that YouTube offers but the app is a headache to deal with.
Greatest music app

Love this app!
by serimshi on 2021/04/15 21:58
I love this app, the only thing is I wish when you added something to que it would play when the current song is over.
Great
by Dakota mertz on 2021/04/15 20:50
I like how I can turn my music off when I want and pick my own music I really recommend YouTube music.
Great, if you pay
by Mistybolavard on 2021/04/15 15:07
As a paying member, I felt like it was a good music app. But now that I don’t have a premium subscription, I can’t play anything with my screen turned off... I get it being a paid feature for the YouTube video app, since the main point of a video app is to watch the screen. But the point of a music app is to turn off your screen and enjoy music. Really stupid move. Switching back to Spotify where their free app lets me play with the screen off and just deal with occasional ads. Because honestly, for $12/mo I can just buy myself a new album each month that I can keep indefinitely without ads. Better deal.
Great just needs bass boost or eq
by Frohawk17 on 2021/04/15 14:51
Great for off road no data downloads of music, Just needs a equalizer so I can enable bass boost on iPhone I know it exists.
YouTube music
by Facemob214 on 2021/04/15 12:21
YouTube music is generally the best way to listen to music without ads in my opinion.I can just type in some lyrics and find the song right away. It’s also worth the money I use this app everyday.

Radio loops pretty bad
by Taterhead96 on 2021/04/15 08:31
The radio function will not only give me the same songs in the same order but will loop back to the beginning often. Other than that this is my favorite streaming app
Just what I needed but
by KenshinHatake on 2021/04/15 05:39
Only lacks one thing for me by now, and it is to be able to add a song/video to various playlist by selecting them at the same time as in YouTube app, instead of one by one as it is now
Terrible
by lokeydev on 2021/04/15 05:06
YouTube Music is literally a copy paste of the YouTube app, but modified. I really miss google play music, it was 1000 times better than this, be prepared for torture.
All Together
by Tonebelit on 2021/04/15 03:27
YouTube been the greatest to get new videos, real news and great feed back results. Quick to find your videos that you are looking for and personalize your music and profile videos so you don’t have to search. It’s been great years of YouTube.

Need to do better with update notes and restarting playback
by Leonphoto on 2021/04/14 22:37
“We update our app all the time to improve your experience” should not be acceptable update notes! Tell me what you’re updating and why! Also, I would love this app to remember where I left off when opening it instead of clearing whatever playlist I had playing previously.
OK replacement to Play Music
by Productivity seekerr on 2021/04/14 22:12
I still prefer Play Music but this app is okay. I wish I could listen to individual songs without it autoplaying to another song at the end. The workaround is to add individual songs to their own playlist, but then I end up with a lot of unnecessary playlists. It would be nice to have a toggle for auto play. I also wish that it didn’t treat my collection of bought and downloaded music as a second-class citizen. It’s clear it’s doing that based on the UI and features. I also don’t really get the point of having this as a separate app to YouTube, since both allow you to watch and listen to music videos. I get that Google is trying to compete with music streaming services like Spotify, but since I already have YouTube Premium there’s not much point in using this app too. The only reason I do is that my bought music was all in Play Music and it got ported over to YT Music. But since I currently have YouTube Premium I could just listen to the same songs on there..

Everything I need, love this app
by Vxo123 on 2021/04/14 11:24
I listen to all kinds of music. From random house djs who aren’t on mainstream platforms to old old cumbias I would hear my mom listening to growing up. I can find everything here (duh it’s YouTube) But the main reason I love YM is when I search a song, it creates a station (an similar/accurate one). I have tried Apple Music and it is soooo off. I searched cardi B - UP for the gym, one minute I’m listening to hype rap, the next minute I’m listening Selena Gomez -___-
Just so sad
by PoisonWolf777 on 2021/04/14 04:08
Ok so whenever the card I. Using to pay the membership gets stolen then you replace it with the new one all your downloaded songs don’t work and you have to delete them unless theirs another way but have not found one once again another 300 downloads down the drain.
FABULOUS!!!!!

Ads!!!
by KFC Icecream Machine on 2021/04/14 03:09
While advertisement is expected, and annoying, this app takes it to a whole new level. You cannot get past a song without hearing about “jAkE fRom sTatEfaRm” or Liberty Mutuals tormented bird. It gets to the point where the app breeds a passive aggressive anger, and will make you furious when any ad interrupts your music. Terrible for in car or shower use, will distract you from the road or get your screen wet. Don’t make the mistake I did, get a different app.
pretyyyyyyy good
by 5soshereforever on 2021/04/14 00:44

You get what you like
by hillbilly batman on 2021/04/13 16:12
Once you start playing the songs you like it will start recommending different artists that sound alike. If you like a song it goes to your playlist. It will create a list for you to listen to and discover new artists and songs. I highly recommend this app over any other that I have used
It’s lit
by Contose04 on 2021/04/13 16:00
Idk how this is w/o YouTube premium but I’m leeching off my uncle’s premium. Ain nun wrong w/ YT music except quality of life things, I think the biggest annoyance is that U can’t put an order on ur playlists, either it’s ordered A-Z, Z-A, or recently added, it’s also weird that all of my playlists non music based or not will be in YT Music.
Censored songs are annoying
by minkflo on 2021/04/13 15:21
I love this app and have music premium but when listening to songs outside of my playlist or adding songs to my playlist, alot of the songs are censored and it ruins the song, there shouldn’t even be censored rap. Whats the point of censoring a artist like king von? You shouldn’t be playing that type of music if curse words is a concern, can you please make a explicit only mode like there is a censored mode.
Having to pay to play music in the background
by memeking80_9 on 2021/04/13 14:22

Useful for the first couple of weeks
by Boi 98 on 2021/04/13 02:41
This app is cool and use it a lot because of how convenient it was. I got the first couple weeks free which was very useful because it was ad free and i could exit the app without the song stopping so i could browse Facebook or something with the music still playing. Now i have to stay in the app and everytime a new song comes on the same ad comes on wanting me sign up for a membership. I used to use Spotify but now i don’t for the exact problem. I think i would be better off getting my portable cd player and putting my cd in there and browsing my phone without some random voice telling me to sign up for a membership so i can listen to a song.

Really miss when the app was Google music
by Amy Sachiko on 2021/04/12 22:34
Super laggy, doesn’t load songs well or at all, pauses and skips, but most annoying is it’ll play random songs not on my playlist or by the artist I’m trying to listen to. I’ve been trying to like this app but I really miss when it was Google music.
Great app but 2-3 flaws or improvements recommended
by MannyJ1122 on 2021/04/12 22:34
Great app but can’t make it default music app for iPhone and also sometimes crashes and doesn’t work on cellular data seamlessly but all my other apps work . Also volume adjustment varies speaker quality varies , add an equalizer snd more customizable audio settings and allow users to make default music app for iPhone

Still doesn’t show what is currently playing in quick settings or on the Lock Screen.
by GeneralM92 on 2021/04/12 20:46
The app is still broken, while casting it will not show what is currently playing in the control center or on the Lock Screen. Also curiously this is the third time I’ve had to post a review for this app, as if my reviews are being deleted.
So much more garbage since shutting Play music

Good, but missing features competing services have
by Matthew Paul Smith on 2021/04/12 11:20
This app is pretty good on the surface. It works good, looks good and the music streams fine with no issues. I also haven’t had much trouble trying to find specific music. Music quality is very good. It is, however, missing some critical features that many competing services have. First, it does not have volume leveling. Considering both Apple Music and Spotify have some form of this, it should be a standard feature by now. Second, no equalizer. Again, this is a standard feature and should not be missing. Third and final thing is interesting. On CarPlay, it barely has any controls on the screen. You don’t get thumbs up or thumbs down on that screen. The similar equivalents for Spotify and Apple Music are present there. I just don’t know why they haven’t fixed that. It’s downright dangerous to not have it in CarPlay, as many would be grabbing their phone to thumbs up or down instead of the much safer option of just having it on the car’s monitor to press really quick without taking your eyes off the road.

Awful
by Oliver Clothsoff on 2021/04/12 04:31
Constantly freezing and crashing. Will often take 15-30 seconds to skip to the next song.
Used to be great. Now it’s horrible.
by TCHansen on 2021/04/12 01:08
I started with Google Play Music when it was first introduced years ago. I gladly paid 15$ a month as it was a great service with mostly curated songs and I could share the service with my kids. A few months ago, Google announced they were going to merge the service with YouTube Music, but would preserve the settings and playlists. They didn’t. The music is simply YouTube uploads without the video. All of my playlists were deleted so only my YouTube playlists show up; not the dozens of playlists I had curated, some with hundreds of songs. Oh, and the songs aren’t the official versions as tagged on YouTube so there is a great difference in quality between songs. The service just stops for no reason when casting to a TV or Google Home after three or four songs; not at the end of the song but midstream. Oh, and the last update deleted all of the new playlists I had created and the UI has everything moved around so I have to go to the library to get to see the stuff I want to see. It is all about marketing at this point. Going to look at Spotify.
You have to be on the app to play music

I miss Google Play
by RS1123467 on 2021/04/11 22:20
This app replaced Google Play and did not improve upon it. I used to be able to queue up a bunch of albums before a long car trip and have my music the entire time. Theoretically I can do that with YouTube Play, but what’s the point the app erases my queue at the first rest area? It’s annoying.
Thanks god!

Great side app
by Jpsrock on 2021/04/11 18:08
I’m a musician, I’m always performing covers and learning new songs. I use the playlist feature a lot to get familiar with the songs I’m performing and different gigs , I really like the fact that YouTube Music syncs with the main YouTube app. Sometimes when creating a main playlist I go back and forward between the two apps listening on the YouTubeMusic and creating the playlist on the main YouTube app that way I don’t have to close the main one to save, and open again to listen wherever song in searching for. I also use the YouTubeMusic to have a better audio quality and to save on data usage on my cell phone since it gives you the option of “Song” or “Video” . By using song I’m not using as much data since is only audio playing. I also enjoy having the premium account that way I can listen all day long without commercials, and download my favorites playlist when I’m going on trips so the music or videos are always playing on my devices when I need them and don’t have to worry about network availability. Really Satisfied!! Keep the good work!
Meh.
by Roro514 on 2021/04/11 15:01

by Khaleb_d on 2021/04/11 01:24
This has to be one of the worst music streaming services to date, it kinda blows my mind how poor the “recommended” music is. Seriously you are better off with Apple Music.
Most annoying app ever
by exyzzy on 2021/04/10 22:12
Very quickly devolves into playing obnoxiously long ads instead of your music selections. Honestly seems like it’s intentionally so bad to make you immediately upgrade to the paid version. Why would anyone purchase an app where the trial experience is plain crappy? This will be another one for the google graveyard
It’s mediocre
by nick gurr in my botty on 2021/04/10 21:57
It’s a pretty mediocre music streaming app. It has pretty good choices and the only reason I use it is because it has basically any song you can think of, except it’s not quite as good as Spotify because you can’t listen without your screen off without paying.

by Mom and girlie on 2021/04/10 20:40
songs vanish randomly ALL the time, in different ways. sometimes downloaded songs iv had for months suddenly vanish from either the yt music library or just my phone, even though the video is still on youtube. one time half of some of my albums just vanished. this issue also exists in the main youtube app, with certain videos- that still are up on youtube- just repeatedly fail to download. deleting the entire app and redownloading everything- which can take hours- is only a temporary solution, as it then happens again.
I would give it zero!
by Staryoks on 2021/04/10 19:56
This app is cheap. It doesn’t suggest you music based on your preferences. It suggests you music based on your location, even if you disable the location. This is really offending!! It doesn’t care about your preferences. I am deleting this right now!

i loved youtube music, it was perfect. better than spotify and pandora combined x100. i could download any song i wanted, listen to it without wifi, didn’t have to worry about ads, it was the ideal music app. but then they updated. now there’s ads between each song, i can’t download any music, i need wifi to even listen to the songs, and now i’m stuck. what am i supposed to do on the school bus? i loved to listen to music and just jam out like nobody’s watching, but now i can’t. and i’m struggling to find a new app the even begins to compare to what youtube music used to be.
This review is so great you’d think it’s sponsored
by DreGatsby143 on 2021/04/10 14:30
I’ve been using YouTube music/Google Play Music since high school. Not because of brand loyalty or limited resource but because it is the most convenient way of listening to music. The user interface is so simple I’m sure toddlers could use it to look up the baby shark song in seconds. Also it has most if not all the music you want to hear.I only say most because some songs have been legally removed or the artist or production company has some type of deal with another music app. But like I said I’ve been on this for years and there is only one song that I had to go to another app to listen to. Also their customer service/benefits/loyalty is off the charts. I pay for YouTube premium which allows me so many options i for one can add people to my YouTube premium for them to enjoy it just as much as I do for like $2 more. They’ve gifted me a smart speaker out of nowhere just for being a customer, I honestly have no idea why anyone would use any other app. It’s YouTube/Google the most dependable search engines! As stated before I am in no way sponsored or paid to say any of this I’m literally paying them for me to say this technically.
Keep up the good work

by go download spotify on 2021/04/10 03:39
I don’t know if this has happened to some one else but basically when I first downloaded the app it was very nice it had downloads and everything but then that’s when I found out i was on a premium trial for a month know mind you I never got asked if I even wanted to start or even be in this trial until one day I go looking at my account and see that it said paid memberships and it said premium trial benefits ending the 13. And I was so confused and I tried to get rid of it but it just keeps on saying renewed like if I want to pay and stuff which I do not want to. This is basically rigged just go download Spotify or sum cus now I’m afraid google might be trying to charge me for something I never even asked for.
Love the service
by Nas217 on 2021/04/10 01:26

The app cant play music when you go to other apps unless if you pay for youtube at that point theres zero difference between this and the youtube app. Might as well just use other music apps or just buy music and make my own.
It’s grown on me, somewhat
by Eboi87 on 2021/04/09 17:03
I was an Android user for years, and ended up using Google Play Music as my streaming service of choice. At the time, the inclusion of YouTube Red (Now YouTube Premium) was too good to pass up. When I heard that GPM was completely changing over to YouTube Music, I was frustrated, because Google seems to have a habit of giving up on their apps instead of committing to improve already-existing services. So far, the change has been okay. Navigating the interface has taken some adjusting. I guess it’s cool that you can also watch the music videos for certain tracks. For me a cross fade option would be *very* nice. Also, it’s somewhat annoying that as a less popular service than Spotify or Apple Music, many artists don’t include links to YT Music when they release new material, but I realize that’s a minor inconvenience. The curated playlists offered are decent.
Unhappy jk I love it
by Indiasmiles22 on 2021/04/09 15:07
At first I was a little sad that google play was going away but YouTube music has more songs then google play did and I didn’t loose my play list I have the family plan and all my boys enjoy it as well as I do INDIA
Bad way of discovering new music
by Be Zezee on 2021/04/09 14:51
If you’re creating radio stations from songs, it’s a terrible way to discover new artists and like genre artists. Expect to hear the same 5-6 artist over and over and over again
One of the best music Apps!

Great job with keeping all the bugs out! No complaints here! I can travel and listen to my music with every losing connection
Mood music
by HautboyPlayer on 2021/04/09 12:21
I love the mood channels and ways to search for what I want to listen to. The ease of finding music and sharing with others is great. I use YouTube music for home and work. I work with kids and wish there was a way to include a lot of the music I lost when transferring from GooglePlay. I also lost the ability to make kids play lists with all the songs I may need or want. This is what frustrates me the most and is the only reason I use other services for half of my kids music.

But like can you stop copystriking all the good remixes? also can you place a Shazam in the search bar because it's already tough enough making out the lyrics at a rave or friends house lol

Far and away my most disappointing experience with google
by theagricolan on 2021/04/09 05:08
i used play music for years with few problems, although the functionality was pretty minimal, but at least it was stable. I still never considered Google play music anything better than a sad shell of a music player. Somehow, with youtube music, Google managed to both strip away most of the minimal functionality that was there to begin with while at the same time introducing more bugs that make this app virtually unusable! I can’t believe what i’m writing, but somehow YT music is even worse than GP music, and by degrees of magnitude! I’m baffled that there are people out there that pay for this service. is it possible that their experience is so different from mine? Issues: -Songs stop playing randomly, regardless of internet connection, streaming, or download status -Unable to view all albums by an artist. can only view songs by that artist listed in order of albums. seriously? is it that difficult to have a simple folder view? artists/albums/songs, done! come on! -When scrolling through my music, the album cover art is incredibly laggy, and most albums display incorrect artwork for 4-5 seconds before updating, sometimes incorrectly multiple times. it would be comical if it weren’t so frustrating. clearly this app was not designed with even the slighted consideration for people who want to store and manage their own personal library on here. it’s obviously 99% designed just for streaming, but it can’t even do that reasonably well; it simply stops playing too frequently. lastly, i understand and respect Google’s prerogative to decide their own business model. However the whole “songs stop playing when you minimize the app or lock your phone” thing is a flat-out money grab, because obviously no one would pay for this garbage if it weren’t that way. fortunately, there are other, more functional, more sensible alternatives out there. It’s sad that Google made a poor decision to go this route and then got stuck doubling down on a bad bet. hopefully this app will improve in future updates, but it would take a pretty massive UI overhaul to make me consider using it again.
Fed up
by MrShock on 2021/04/09 03:41
Open app to play music, music plays for a few seconds then just stops. I can skip forward a bit, music plays for a few seconds, then stops again. This app and YouTube Music is horrible. Stupid decision to go from Google Play Music to this crap.

I’m disappointed
by Tiny-Dez on 2021/04/09 00:23
I’m very disappointed because this was going to be my favorite music app. I was going to delete all of my other ones but something happened (I guess it upgraded on its own or something) and deleted all of my downloads and said that if I want to download in music I have to have a premium subscription. I will go to listen to my music and then I want to listen to it while my phones not completely onward just like a black screen or ask out of that app and go to a different app I’m still listening music but it won’t let me anymore. It was great up until the part where I can no longer listen to anything unless I’m on the app. This app is great if you want to listen to it for a couple of weeks and then have to pay for it but other than that I would not recommend!
Clear queue

Why is their no easy way to clear the queue. This is the most annoying part of this otherwise decent app.
Forget previous review...I love this app
by nikanico on 2020/02/24 22:24
Update: I figured I’d leave the prior review there to show how stupid I am... just don’t touch the screen so hard and those songs will move all over the place with incredible ease. I figured it out by accident.... moron moment over... love this app now more than ever... love love love Look, I love this service because it has literally every song/cover/live version etc. of everything.... however, I spend all day making these playlists that I cannot rearrange!!!!! I click edit, the equal sign (I don’t know what else to call it) appears on the left and I have to touch that thing like 87 times before I can get it just right so the stupid menu doesn’t come up instead. I HATE IT. It is literally so frustrating it makes me not even want to use the app. I’ve had to resort to deleting things that I want to be at the end of the playlist and then adding them again just to get them to where I want. Please please please fix this or make it easier or bigger or something. It’s literally a crapshoot on whether I can touch it just right so I can pull it up or down in the playlist. I can’t be the only one this annoys. That would shock me to the core....
So bad
by Kjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj on 2020/12/21 03:26
This is by far the worst app for listening to music that I have ever used. (And I have the paid subscription.) It takes a gazillion clicks to find my recent or commonly used playlists. I don’t get on the app to use mixes some rando made, I get on to listen to MY LISTS and to find new releases. Why do I have to click like five times to reach my playlists???? And even then it doesn’t show me the ones I’ve lost recently played, only the ones I’ve recently edited! The playlists are not sorted alphabetically. If I want to remove songs from a queue or move them to another playlist, it’s impossible to select more than one song at once—I HATE THIS ESPECIALLY. Such a basic and inexcusable oversight they’ve had months to fix. And if I’m already listening to a list I’ve downloaded and then I leave WiFi, it complains to me that it has no connection and needs to go to downloads, and makes me click through multiple times just to find again and shuffle the list I’m already listening to. Just awful. Also google play used to show me how many times I’ve listened to each song, and that’s what I looked at to find my favorite songs of the year. I don’t want a 2020 list they make for me, I want to make my own list! Why can’t they provide this basic thing that was already offered on google play? The web app is equally frustrating. I can’t believe we actually pay them to provide this abysmal level of service.
Inexcusably bad
by D. Comiskey on 2020/11/12 01:34
I don’t even know where to start with just how buggy and unusable this app and YT Music is overall. It’s not a step down from Google Play - it’s ten steps down. GP worked flawlessly, you could edit metadata (like artwork), stream through your Sonos for FREE and it has/had a simple User interface. YTM has none of that and it’s simply inexcusable. All they had to do was rebrand GPM and call it a day. Instead, we get an app that is so frustrating to use. Plug it in CarPlay and you don’t get a “most recent” screen like every, single other music app gives you. You have to manually navigate to what you want. If you want to start up where you left off before, you have to use the app on the phone and make at least 3 clicks to get to your recent album/songs. It also doesn’t remember your playback settings. If you click on “repeat” for an album, it will usually stop by the second play. If you don’t have repeat on and you’re at the last song of an album, hitting the |> button won’t take you back to the first track. Again, that is just BASIC functionality. If you want to stream your library through your Sonia system? Well, with GP it was free. Now? You have to pay for the 9.99/mo upgrade fee for YTM “Premium.” No thanks, Google. You don’t take away a free service and give us an inferior one as a replacement and have the gall to charge people for it.
Basic features are a failure
by CurtisL on 2020/10/01 16:26
I truly don't understand how this app is rated so well. It fails in the most basic of ways, making using it a continually frustrating experience. When viewing Library by Artist, instead of showing the Albums by that artist like every music app ever, including Google Play Music, it just lists all the songs by that artist. "YT Music" and "Uploads" are separated when. Looking at your library, so you have to look in two different places to see all the content from a single artist. Loop preference does not persist between queues, so when you start a new album or playlist, if you want it to loop, you have to select that EACH TIME. You can view Downloads just fine if you have service, but if you're in a low service area, the app will just sit at a loading screen forever, blocking access to everything, unless you turn on airplane mode. It's a mess. The only marginal improvement on Google Play Music has been consistent album art when in offline mode (it'd just disappear in GPM for some reason). This app needs SO MUCH WORK and seems to have been designed by a team that has never worked on this type of app before, or simply doesn't get UX at all. Being forced to replace GPM with this is incredibly frustrating.
Google Play Music converters will be highly dissatisfied
by KatxIsxBack on 2020/12/31 01:40
I have had nothing but complaints about this app since having to move here from Google Play. It's become such a chore to listen to my own music that it's completely put me off listening to it. I rarely use this app. I much prefer Pandora or other music apps at this point. I want to be able to pick up where I left off in a song/album/playlist, hours/days/weeks later like I was able to in GPM. I don't want ads to listen to my own music. I don't want your suggestions added to my music. I don't want to be asked to upgrade to premium. I just want to listen to MY MUSIC. I also don't understand why buffer times are so much worse on here than GPM. I didn't have any issues with listening to my songs. But on this app, it takes a few tried for a song to play. Like it can't decide to load the song or something. I'm not sure. But it's annoying having to try to get the song to play multiple times before it will actually play. And then in the middle of a playlist, the song stopping for the same issue. Again, I will reiterate none of these issues occurred on GPM. TL;DR: I miss Google Play Music.
Neat app, but a few improvements could be useful.
by Monolith Soundworks on 2021/03/29 18:05
I give this four stars because it’s an amazing app, and I’ve been using it on my Lenovo / Google Home smart clock to fall asleep. As well as I like it, there are a few things that I would like to be added. For one, when I ask it to play a certain person or music company that I like, for example Waterflame, or Danimal Cannon, I want it to just play those songs. I’m tired of skipping songs to the point where I can’t even skip anything without a membership. Second of all, stop flooding your ads with membership advertisements! It’s annoying to me because imagine hearing after every single song: “Buy our membership!” And I would also like the option to not play certain songs, because after a while it plays lo-fi music or old school hip-hop, but I don’t want that to happen. Again, this is a great app, but these things are something that could be considered in the future. I look forward to using this more.
Missing Google play music
by westopher718 on 2020/09/22 14:40
In all honesty I switched over to this app with a really open mind because I figured it would work about the same as Google play music. But I've been disappointed in certain functions. I mostly listen to my music while I'm driving so the download-only feature is really important. On Google, you could toggle your downloads on and off and then sort by artist if you wanted. I've noticed on this app that if you want to listen to downloads you can either choose one individual album or you can shuffle all of your songs. This is frustrating to me. The other thing I'm not thrilled about is the really bad lag when I skip a song or two. And this is still if I'm only listening to my downloaded music so there is no reason for the app to act like it's buffering or whatever the problem is here?? I really wanted to like this app. I did. But it's got some pretty major issues and they had a long time to sort this out before making everyone switch over.
Poor substitute
by NathanFilz on 2021/03/13 06:46
The company offered free music storage to its users, in exchange users agreed to allow Google to use the music they uploaded to build their music library. Google took note of similar artists a user might listen to and built their recommendation engine off of that data. They acquired competitors solely to put them out of business and eliminate the competition. They stifled innovation at every turn, and users kept quiet because they still felt the relationship was mutually beneficial. But as soon as Google had milked as much date from the users libraries as they could, they eliminated the service, and in its place coughed up this garbage that in no way is an equal substitute for what they killed. Now if you want to listen to your music that you spent years cultivating and curating, you either need to pay up $150 a year, or listen to an advertisement after every single song, with no ability to cache music for offline play. Are you an advertising business ? A music streaming company? A phone manufacturer? You can’t be all of the above and still prioritize the best interest of the customer.
One “tiny” complaint
by •Kit Katt• on 2020/09/24 16:05
Ok, so this app is great if you just wanna listen to music, which I like to do. So I opened the app, and it asked my if I wanted to start my free trial. I said no, because I wanted to save it. Then I exited the app because I didn’t want to use it yet. So that happened yesterday, and when I went on the app today, it said my free trial was ending soon. I checked if I had Premium, and apparently I did. Why did it give me Premium? I didn’t want to use the free trial yet. When I had YT Music on my old iPad, it let me choose when I wanted to use the free trail. And the “Try Premium today” thing doesn’t have a exit button. The only thing you can do is press the button, or exit the app. Apparently both result in YT Premium now, so either it’s a glitch, or on purpose. Anyway, beside this wall of one complaint, the app is pretty good. I like how you can shuffle the playlist and it recommends you more songs. Well, have a good day.
Content winner, though lacking some polish and features
by Caster Shell on 2018/02/09 19:39
Hands down, the most music of any service. If it's a song that was recorded by humans it's probably in here. And will at some point come across your station. End of the day that's what matters most to me for a music service. Exposure to content. That said, the app is missing a few minor convenience features present in other similar services. My biggest peeve, no Windows PC music only mode. I listen to music a lot at work and would prefer not to eat bandwidth for videos I'm not watching. While in power the app has no option to keep the screen on meaning I have to unlock my phone to thumb a song down while driving. And the most minor, no way to thumb down a song that's not currently playing, gotta stop playing the current track, start playing the other one, then thumb it down. Also, why no access to comments?
I hate this. Google music this is not.
by i6ix on 2020/10/09 19:45
I was a Google music user, for years and years. Would have or not have subscription throughout, depending, but would always store my library online with it and use it. This... is awful. Trying to play your music library is painful, so deep in menus, and somehow I always end up being pulled into some mode of having to hear either ads or other songs / artists I don’t care about. Basically, this is the music app for people who don’t actually know anything about music. It’s for that guy who listens to “whatever” on Pandora. It’s not for people who like particular artists, or who have any love for albums. This service is a mess just like every other Google product has become over the years. Sad truth. Just wait until they abandon it.. because they always do that. Instead of fixing a few things on Google Music, they killed it and gave birth to this mess. I don’t need all this junk, I just wanted a music player. So, back to loading everything onto my device via iTunes I guess.
Cash Grab
by tke240 on 2020/07/23 20:23
If you’re coming from Google Play and if you’re already paying for a Google Play subscription, then this app may be perfectly suited to you. If you’re migrating from the free version of Google Play, you’re likely going to be very unhappy. The app seems specifically designed to annoy the user with as many roadblocks to enjoying their music as possible in order to force them into purchasing a subscription. The app will not run in the background without a subscription, so forget about using it in the car and having a gps running at the same time. Advertisements are played in between nearly every song, including music you already purchased. Often these would be video ads so if you’re on a limited data plan, that’s going to hurt. Downloading your music is a premium feature as well. YouTube’s global head of music, Lyon Cohen, stated in an interview at SXSW “There’s a lot more people in our funnel that we can frustrate and seduce to become subscribers,” and it appears he’s making good on that. Google Play generated income off me in their free service by playing ads on their radio, which I was fine with and presumably by taking a cut of the sale whenever I purchased an album from them, which I was also fine with. However, I won’t be bullied into paying for a subscription. I’ve transferred my music to another service and will not be purchasing further music through Google/YouTube which is a shame as I felt Google Play was really well done.
Not working when offline
by -/$728 on 2020/09/25 18:51
I’m not happy about the behavior under unstable cellular environment or offline. This is really common when you road trip. 1. When I’m playing online music (my mix) and driving into non-cellular coverage area, the music stops and it stops forever. It should continue playing my downloaded music automatically without me touching the screen. It’s dangerous to do so while driving and I cannot easily navigate to the download page (see #2). 2. When I suddenly lose the cellular connection and I want to play downloaded music, I need to navigate to the “Library” page. However, the app somehow still thinks I have the connection and tries to load the page. The page is stuck in that loading circle forever and I cannot head to the downloaded music page. The only way to get around it is to kill the app, go to Airplane mode, go back to that page, and now you can see the offline version. It’s so ironic that you have to have real network connection to play the downloaded music.
This is my first review I’ve ever written on Apple
by LordBeard on 2020/09/20 13:28
This app...it’s a lot. I mean I was forced to come to this app. Visually, I love the interface over Google Music. Having the videos here are cool. The mixes are usually better than Google Music as well, but that’s where it ends. The force closing is tragic. If someone calls or you enter the app back quickly it will close the app. Unlike Google Music, it won’t even pick off where you left. Why are playlists not in alphabetical order...what in the crazy town of an idea was that. You can’t even search for your playlist, like you could on Google Music, without turning up a ton of other results and never yours. I mean these are like basic functions, I don’t ask for much, I ask for what i had to be what I had. This app was out months before y’all made us switch. So the basic functionality of Google music was just bypassed. I’m upset. I can’t even go back to Google Music. It’s like y’all are forcing me to go Apple Music but all of my downloads, about 10,000, are here. Sigh.
this app is great but
by Kenzie2004 on 2020/04/26 11:42
it could be better the “my mixtape” is just music that i went out of my way to find it music i have in my likes or downloads rarely is there new music in there that i haven't heard, along with that if my mixtape is supposed to be songs that i like and etc then don’t play different music at different times, in the morning it plays different music than in the afternoon and night which is okay but i like to hear everything and my morning music is the same as my night time and my afternoon music. Along with the play more music for me, if the new discover playlist or whatever it’s called is supposed to help me find new music it would be nice to make it more accurate I've never liked a song that played in that playlist and it’s not even the type of music i listen to and i’ll listen to anything. also it needs to be updated all the time not every Wednesday.
Why Did You Remove The Feature That Allowed Us To Find Remixes From The “More” Button?
by IStoppingPowerI on 2018/06/02 01:12
(Updated On Exp) Starting to love this new look actually. I can see the songs I enjoy replaying come up well at the top section. What was great before was tapping a track that I’ll enjoy, and wondering - what would some remixes/covered/related tracks sound like. The older “more” button or what the current “i”/“Information” button had previously done this. It was awesome! I was hooked. I could find so many great songs from other artists/DJs and so on by finding a great hit, then tapping those buttons. Now those features aren’t to be found. I don’t feel confident paying because I can get the same great hits/music from streaming services that I’ve never tried before. I was a student for all the time I’ve used it (1.5 years) as well - so I really do love the app! It’s harsh pressing the info button and seeing nothing.
So much buffering
by Littlezeekers on 2019/05/18 16:45
I mostly listen to music while I’m working in the morning, I like to use the app because it does help discover music I would potentially like. My main issue with the app is every time I take out an AirPod to interact with another person it pauses my music and almost never picks back up. It try’s to buffer back where I was but I usually have to start the song over or just skip it. It’s rather annoying especially when it’s a podcast or a longer music playlist. Just seems like a big flaw that it can’t pick up where I left off, especially when I usually put my AirPod back in within a minute or two of taking it out. The only other issue is it plays a lot of repeat songs, mostly they’re songs that I’ve liked but I don’t discover new music by listening to the same stuff..

Very frustrating app if you're coming from google play
by julzzzzzzjo on 2020/12/29 17:01
They don't have as many clean versions of songs. Google play music had two versions of albums for many albums. Also you can play your downloaded songs only. Now you have to have Wi-Fi to get to the downloaded songs. It will eventually load but not easily without Wi-Fi which defeats the purpose. Also it does not keep track of where you were. I have to start at the beginning of my playlist and push shuffle every time and it always starts with the same few songs. So it's not random like it should be and then I have to restart it so I'm listening to the same songs over and over and over and that means on a playlist with 1100 songs. Editing playlists is very difficult as well. If I click thumbs down google play music would remove it from the playlist. Not this one. Many other issues. Weird we were forced to this app.
Love it.. except
by Christian369 on 2021/02/09 03:25
Love everything about this app... except I’ve not been able to create a “new play list”, since I’ve had this account. Ever time I try, it says, “there was a problem with the server [400]“. I’ve updated regularly, and have asked You Tube for a resolution more than once. NO ONE EVERY REPLIES !! I’d also like to be able to go back to the exact “app generated” playlist that I’ve been listening to for the past few days, after trying a different lineup. If I search for something new or tap on another song outside of the present list that I’ve been listening to. I can never return to the exact same lineup. Even if I go to “history”. The app always generates a different lineup of songs that’s compromised of some of the songs I’ve been listening to, but not the exact list.
It’s ok
by grizzlemynizzle on 2020/09/18 16:50
Using this app since it’s replacing google play. I don’t like that it takes forever to connect to my Bluetooth it seems to always have a lag and the music buffers in the beginning too. I never experienced this with google play. Maybe the music videos are still loading in the background even though it’s on “music only” mode. I also really dislike that my music never picks up where it left off when I’m done. I have to manually go and search for my song every time I restart my car or anytime I come back to the app really. I’ve tried not closing the app on my home screen but it didn’t male a difference. Sometimes my playlists can get long and searching for a song toward the middle is annoying. I do like that I can find any song that’s on YT on here though, sometimes google play would not offer songs YT music has offered.
Meh
by furhdab on 2020/08/13 12:57
I love the amount of music available! I came from google play music so this was great! My quips though and I hope these are changes that come along: my library doesn’t give me the ability to choose a letter and then get taken to that area, I literally have to scroll to let’s say the H’s... which wouldn’t be bad if I didn’t have over 3000 songs in my library. You can’t change the song when your phone is locked, you have to go into the app to do that and pause it. Also when you go to an artist’s page and click a song by them, it doesn’t just play their next top song it goes to a different artist that is similar and starts playing a song by them. And every time I remove a song from my que, the app forces you back to the top of the list and then you have to scroll back down to where you were.
Can't customize anything
by killershadow115 on 2019/07/23 08:47
Alot of the recommended stations are just some main stream popular artist I never listen too. Let me add my own playlist or artist to my main menue play lists. Let me add or move wdgests around. And for crying out loud all the playlist have the same songs... Like if I click on a dubstep song or something why put something non related to dubstep there? Same with Nightcore or electro music.. let me make my experience with this app better by allowing me to change and move things around. I don't even scroll down because it's all garbage that I'll never click on. It's so sad that this app just get worse and worse. Now you added that song video thing when the old one worked perfectly fine. Now It randomly switches to video even if I selected song. I had a grate experience with this app for like 3 years but it's just getting worse and worse over that time
SO AGGRAVATING!!
by SometimesFish on 2019/08/28 21:49
I downloaded the app and it very graciously gave me 2 weeks premium for free. I could download music and listen to it offline and it was add free. I was building up my playlist and towards the end of the 2 weeks I had about 50 songs downloaded and in my playlist. The end of the two weeks finally came and premium was gone. Here comes the problem. All my downloads were gone, you can only access them if u have premium. I was alright with that because I still had my playlist and could always use data. I go into my playlist and shuffle, the first song had an add. It was expected, but as I continued on I found that there is an add at the beginning AND end of EVERY song. There is an option to skip after 5 seconds but I don’t want to be pulling my phone out every few minutes to skip an add. THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN ENJOY THIS WITHOUT HAVING TO BUY PREMIUM. Thank you for reading my rant on why you shouldn’t download this app. Have a great day!
Good Google Play music transfer, other things to improve
by WITH LOVE... on 2020/07/14 01:42
I’m super happy they finally allowed the transfer of our Google Play music playlists, but using this as my main music app is going to need a few improvements if I’m being honest. First, the app can be glitchy when loading info the current song playing, and sometimes I have to close the app fully to get it to work. Secondly, if you are going to have a feature of having lyrics built into the app, please update it to where you know any song made within the last 30-40 years at the minimum will load no matter the genre or artist, no matter how popular or not the song is (in it’s current state it feels like a beta rather than a fully released music app.) I enjoy it overall but am looking forward to improvements moving forward.
Great Concept - Terrible Execution
by Minorly Disgruntled on 2019/10/08 14:29
I honestly had high hopes for this app, but in the end it was just a major let down. The music selection is great, but everything else about the app is there to make sure you can never actually listen to the music. Most songs will stop after 10-30 seconds and restarting the app won’t fix this problem. It will happen often, randomly, and unpredictably. Also, one you pause a song and leave the app it loses it’s memory. So let’s say your on a road trip and stopped to get gas, when you get back in the car you essentially have to restart the entire playlist you were just on. Individually these problems aren’t terrible, but combined it is the absolute worst. Which is really upsetting considering the content on here is actually amazing. Overall, only use this app if you’re at home and don’t mind consistently trouble shooting. Not an app for on the go people with busy lives.
Okay but missing some key features.
by Manfredo94 on 2021/03/03 06:56
I really like the app but there are two things that I truly miss from the Google Play App. Number one being the option of scrolling through the alphabet on the right side in order to find a song in my library faster. I used this scrolling feature so much it was easy to scroll through songs. Also, whenever I do scroll through my library, it would lag and take a while to load my library. It’s understandable since I have a big library, but Google Play didn’t give me that issue. Another thing I really miss is the sleep option. I would love to listen to music to fall asleep to, but I don’t have the option to have the app automatically stop like Google Play did. Fixing these issues would make me give the app a 5 star.
Dude Waht
by LaurenTheLaw on 2018/06/24 22:27
I really enjoyed this app. . . Up until recently. See, with the past few updates, it getting harder and harder to find the music I like. It recommends different versions of a song I like, but I don’t want different versions, I just want to listen to the song the way I like it. Be it faster tempo or otherwise. Also, first page I see when I enter the app now offers less of the things I’m interested in. While my favorite songs are cramped in a corner all together, a bunch of things I don’t care about take up the entire screen. I don’t want to listen to ‘New Releases’ or ‘Hottest Country Albums’ because that’s NOT WHAT I LIKE. The music I want is shoved in a corner under ‘your favorites’. SURE, those are TOTALLY my favorites and not just DIFFERENT THINGS ENTIRELY. I don’t even know what half of the stuff recommended to me are! I had high hopes for these few big updates, but all I see is failure to pander towards the audience. Please, staff. I know there is a low chance of someone reading this, especially since it’s a negative review. Please give me back the app that I loved! Instead of just calling random music you’ve thrown at me ‘personalized’, just go back to the way you were. This isn’t difficult. All you have to do is take away the new bad stuff, and replace it with the old good stuff. Thank you. Sincerely, An unhappy customer
Downloads are a pain
by RettopMK on 2021/01/27 18:08
A decent app for music if you live and work in an area with good signal. I rely on downloads and the download feature in this is a mess. Switching from one phone to another isn’t as seamless as it should be and you have to go and download each song individually as it come across your playlist. Can get time consuming and irritating. There is no way to download your entire music library at once. Only “liked” songs and playlists. And even then my liked songs won’t download at once. It gets stuck and the majority of the songs are left waiting to download. Checked all my WiFi settings and allowed space and it’s fine. Apple Music and google play music were the better apps by far. I have had this app on a Note 10 and now an iPhone 11 Pro and it’s the same issue across the different systems and slightly worse for apple.
Just falls short
by kcchiefn420 on 2020/11/03 06:43
This app has a lot of potential and I’m not sure who decided to have it work the way it does but very simple things this app doesn’t offer is holding it back so much. For instance if I click add song to queue it makes so much more sense to add said song to a new list that starts after the current song playing not at the end of the shuffled playlist which can have hundreds of songs in it. Adding to a queue means you want to listen to it next or at the least soon. And why for the love of god is it almost the end of 2020 and this app doesn’t support the ability to remember the shuffle and replay settings when you come back to the app. I mean such simple things like this are littered through the app and are holding what has potential to be the best music streaming app back from the top. TL:DR Fire whoever your app dev is cause they are trash.
Saved items keep don’t update automatically
by Go MArk on 2019/09/24 20:44
Please, if I have a playlist synced in “saved items” it supposed to update (download automatically) all the new tunes which I put on the same name “online” playlist, but it never uptade itself, the only way is deleting the playlist (in saved offline) and download all the way AGAIN to get sometimes just 3 new tunes I must to download like 3 hundreds tunes in order to keeps up-to-date my offline same name synced playlist. I’m thinking to cancel my subscription only because this, it already bugging me a lot. Second thing the music VIDEOS in a playlist synced to play offline some of them just play the music sound, if I created a Music VIDEOS playlist it’s supposed to play ONLY VIDEOS in all of musics which i put on it, not just a few aleatory (p.s: off course I added the video option when I did the prior search). TKS
The revamp changes everything.
by Alex Lerman on 2018/05/25 04:00
This is a great app, has the absolute biggest library(YouTube), option for video and all of this is just the early access version! Very excited to see what the future updates bring with them. Few complaints are: Remove the swipe to delete from playlists, or make it harder to trigger, like requiring a double swipe. This was an issue in GPM, still an issue here. Also add shuffle and repeat buttons on the play screen and the ability to add whole albums to playlists. Other than that, keep up the good work and keep expanding the official library, as it’s missing big albums like Stoney by post Malone and 4 your eyes only by J Cole and so on.
Good app but bugs with last updates
by nopicnic on 2019/04/11 20:43
Hands down, this app has the most music. Nice to be able to listen to lesser known artists, covers, live performances, etc. Editing and sharing playlists on the app is really easy. One peeve of mine is that it has an option to download songs, but if you are out and have no cell service - you can’t open “library” to access “downloads” without needing internet - they should have an icon for “downloads” separate from “library” that opens right away without internet. Since the last update - it’s hit/miss with the app staying on. Before, you could lock your phone and the music would still play. Now it feels like you have to remember to trigger/wake the app to keep it on.
Seems Legit
by i55rex on 2018/07/23 01:08
Been using YT Music for about a month now and I’m pleased 100% so far! The My Mixtape section is great; I’ve had it play several songs that I love but hadn’t listened to in a while (oh the nostalgia). There are only a few glitches like how the app responds sometimes but not anything irritating to me in the least (some slow response times that last half a second). I know they are still working some bugs and kinks out, but I’ve yet to have the app crash on me since I’ve been using it. It’s my #1 go-to when listening to music on my phone whether I’m at home or driving. Can’t wait to see what new additions we get in the future!
Giving it four stars will change if app changes this.
by Danku Coris Chi on 2019/03/09 02:10
I want the app to change the premium version I want the app to where I’m able to play it off the app it’s frustrating cause I wanna do other things and if I turn my phone off then woop the music turns off I don’t like it at all and u ask for a lot of money when using the premium since that I never bought it It would be fine if u could let us listen off the app that way we could do other things on our phones it’s fine if u add ads skip turns or something but u need to a least let us listen off the app that’s all and I will change this rating to a five star when that is fixed anyway I hope u get this and change it have a nice day...
One thing...
by Nymjy on 2020/10/20 22:19
So I really like this app because it almost reads your mind with the songs you want to listen to and I like that it gives you the option to watch the music video that goes with the song. The thing is (and I’ve seen complaints about this in other reviews), when you first get the app it asks it you want a free trial for premium. A lot of apps do this so I wasn’t too surprised but anyway I didn’t want to use mine, or at least not yet. So i just pressed the little “x” so I could go on without the trial but when I opened the app like a minute later it told me that I was currently in the free trial even though I’m 100% sure that I pressed the “x.” So ya, that’s pretty much my only complaint. Otherwise it’s a great app. Thanks for reading!
Stoped working the same
by sanaya1201 on 2020/07/23 14:21
When I first downloaded the app I loved it because I could make my own playlists and it was always recommending me new music and artist and was always up to date when artist released new music, however I’ve had the app for a couple of years and I noticed that it started to say “song unavailable” and at first it was a couple of songs and I thought it got removed because some were songs I Hadn’t listened to in a while, however today I go on the app to listen to music and over half of my playlist with songs says song unavailable and when I tried to remove it and re- add the song it wouldn’t allow me to do so. I’m sad because I love this app, but I heard it happened to people with a premium account as well, so unfortunately I have to find another app to listen to music on in the meantime. Please fix this!
Good but...
by EdG70 on 2020/10/18 23:48
Been using the plataform for almost a year. It’s good but could have some improvements. Some of the songs are not recorded at the same volume so that creates a fluctuation when listening causing you to constantly adjust the volume. Second there’s no way (or at least I haven’t found it) to arrange the downloaded music into files in order to listen “offline”. Because you can have files, but they won’t play unless you are online. Offline you can arrange the songs in a “play next” but it won’t stay like that when you close the app. I would appreciate if someone tells me how to do this. Because I would like to have a “working out” file or “reading” file to listen offline.
I like the App, but...
by Rahee.khan on 2020/06/27 18:32
I often cast music from the App on my Sony TV. Whenever it is connected to the TV, overall App behavior becomes different, here are few examples: 1) When I play from my downloaded list, it does not follow the list itself. Depending on what song I select to play from the downloaded list, the queue becomes random with songs which is not in sync / order with my list 2) Moving a song up / down in the list also doesn’t work well, if I try to drag a song from one position to another, and I hold down for longer than 2-3 seconds, the drag auto releases, and scrolls back to where I originally started the drag from 3) Switching between Song / Video on the top bar is very slow, and sometimes reverses my choice, I have also seen a song being paused when attempting to switch to/from Song / Video Besides this or when just using the App without being connected to the TV, it works great, just wish the integration was smoother for my particular scenario Using iPhone 11 Pro and have auto-update on for Apps, and the TV is brand new Sony, so everything is relatively up to date on my side
Missing albums
by kaiaT^T on 2020/08/12 03:21
The app is okay. I transferred all my music over from google play and I expected a better experience which was met half way. While it has its benefits there are a lot of down sides. Some artist pages are literally missing albums. For example Steven universe which has some of season one album in its top song list but you can’t find the album anywhere on their page. I also have another album from Steven universe which also isn’t on the artist page and when you click -go to artist- it takes to to the same page where the album literally does not exist. Another problem I have is I get notifications of artists that I have not subscribed to. I can get notified of their new songs but not the ones that I am subscribed to.
No new songs, not worth the money for membership
by exe error 666 on 2020/06/14 19:41
No good song recommendations, all it does is play your like songs over and over, and then finally when you get a new song it usually not a good one some weird type of stuff that just isn’t worth the membership, and to top it off you shouldn’t need to pay to have music in the back ground I should be able to have my phone off without a membership, honestly if they did that it would probably bring in a lot more people so that’s an idea and if no one likes it to bad this is an honest review and this is only my opinion not anyone else’s but it’s not a good music app, unless you have money, and even then it’s challenging to find new and good songs, which is just a pure disappointment., edit: changed from 3 star to 1 star app is to frustrating, this is just ridiculous if I could would give a .5 star if possible
2 complaints
by mathiashurtin on 2021/01/23 12:42
1.) I am tired of my music player always swiping down automatically without me swiping down and interrupting or changing my music as I’m skimming through songs. This has been doing this for over a year since I had my iPhone 6. I thought it was my phone but this is an annoying bug that needs to be fixed. 2.) I also noticed that when I’m scrolling though a list of songs that it lags and freezes which is very annoying considering I’ve paid $15 a month for it for over 4 years. Aside from these problems, everything else is good and I would otherwise recommend it if it wasn’t so buggy. Hope you see this and will make improvements soon. Thanks.
Issue with Bluetooth Performance
by minceem on 2020/11/19 19:10
So overall the app works quite well, but there is a small bug when trying to play over Bluetooth or with Apple CarPlay. When selecting a song, the song title and artist shows, but the album doesn’t come up. The album title only displays if you change to the next song. Also, if you decide to start a song over, the song length will not reset, so if you start a 4 minute song over at the 3 minute mark, the clock will continue rolling, so you could be displaying 6 minutes of song time for a 4-minute song. These are obviously not issues affecting playback, but it’s enough for my OCD-self to notice. Should be an easy enough fix to implement.
Great app but room for improvement
by Timacon on 2018/04/03 03:05
I love music and listen to it most everywhere I am that I can and your music library far surpasses any I’ve seen! I wish there were a few improvements that I’ve also heard others mention and those are being able to remove a song from the music que without having to wait till it plays and wish there was a way to indicate some artists I can’t stand so they don’t sneak in amongst my jam! I also wish the app was visible on the lock screen when I’m connected to my system via WiFi the way it is when I’m connected via Bluetooth, why is there a difference on how it functions? A few tweaks by listening to your users and it would be the perfect music app!
Downloaded songs...?
by 5-6-7-8-Nyna on 2019/11/02 01:26
Ever since this update 2 days ago, my downloaded songs have disappeared. I can access the full albums I’ve downloaded, but the dozens and dozens of random songs I had downloaded that were in they’re own little “downloaded songs” album/playlist/whatever are gone. I can access my liked songs, but those are different, I didn’t thumbs up every song I downloaded and vice versus. I want my album/playlist of downloaded songs back! Sometimes I want a mix of stuff, besides the offline playlist of 20 songs that the app has put together for me. I love this app. the $ I pay for the amount of music I can access and download is awesome...but I want to be able to download everything I’ve downloaded again! Please!
Not user friendly or reliable
by Atheimum on 2020/12/28 11:18
We use music in our kids rooms at night to help them sleep and muffle the household sounds. We loved google play. Unfortunately this program has been less than reliable or easy to use. It isn’t compatible with many older devices, so we were forced to upgrade the phones that sit on a shelf and play music. Stupid. The app stops playing randomly through the night. I have to restart the music, which is on repeat, but still stops. Its only played through 4-5 times since we were forced to switch. The repeat button is only available when the phone is in landscape, so when music cuts off i have to take the phone off the speaker, find repeat, then put it back all without waking a sleeping child. Not fun at 2am. These problems need to be fixed asap. Absolutely crap.
Fix this
by Luke¡ on 2019/06/15 04:48
I love this app I have been using it for over a year now as my main music streaming app. It has been flawless in my mind ever since they made the update to download playlists offline. That is, until recently. Recently, about every fifth song that plays, wether it be from one of my playlists or a search, doesn’t load. This is extremely frustrating when I have to skip all of these songs which will never load and just skip constantly. It turns a 100 song playlist into only 30 minutes of actual music streaming. Please fix this bug it has ruined the app for me and stops me from listening to a select portion of all of my playlists.
Issue
by ~I_Don't_Know~ on 2020/05/11 16:48
Okay, Idk how long I’ve used this app but I have for a little bit, and the only two issues are that, when I’m trying to add music to a new playlist sometimes I would make the playlist before hand, knowing I needed to add music to it. But I usually need to make a new one when I click add to playlist, because the one made before doesn’t show up on my list of playlists. Honestly it’s not that big of a deal but today I was trying to add music to a playlist but the playlist didn’t show up at all, no matter how many times I made it before I chose the song or when I made a new playlist after I chose the song and clicked add to playlist. Those are really the two main things but the first ones not that big of a deal.

YouTube music

YouTube music is generally the best way to listen to music without ads in my opinion.I can just type in some lyrics and find the song right away. It’s also worth the money I use this app everyday.

by KenshinHatake on 2021/04/15 05:39

Ads!!!
by KFC Icecream Machine on 2021/04/14 03:09
While advertisement is expected, and annoying, this app takes it to a whole new level.

It’s annoying.

by Jpsrock on 2021/04/11 18:08
I’m a musician, I’m always performing covers and learning new songs.
Meh.

The curated playlists offered are decent.

by HautboyPlayer on 2021/04/09 12:21
I love the mood channels and ways to search for what I want to listen to.

Seems Legit
