Signal stability using Wahoo Tickr
by Ady-P on 2020/05/24 06:08
The latest update has removed the ability to see if I’m getting a good signal from my Tickr HR chest strap. I have limited time in the morning whilst eating breakfast before work and previously I could see if the signal was bad and make adjustments. Now I can’t and have to wait 2 mins 15 seconds to find out. If I get 2 poor readings in a row then I give up as I don’t have time to keep retaking. I am not entirely convinced by HRV reading having been using this app for several months. I am a dedicated cyclist, following a good structured training plan and I’ve not been able to correlate performance against what EliteHRV is indicating. Now, unfortunately, due to the latest update I probably won’t be able to continue to evaluate it further, and no, I’m not going to buy a CoreSense device! Not until I’m, and other people experts in sports performance, are convinced that HRV is useful for performance gains.
New version not working
by annoyed HRV on 2020/05/22 10:24
Have been using this for over a year but cannot get the latest version to work. Tried reinstalling and decoupling etc but no joy.
New update
by Striple on 2020/05/22 08:59
The recent update, with new design, has transformed the most troubling element of the previous version, which was getting a reliable Bluetooth connection. Works every time for me now, using the CorSense finger sensor. The new design is much easier for tracking exercise, sleep and mood too. Great job Elite HRV team.
Eating my battery!
by Roland Rat on 2020/05/19 21:19
Since the last major update it’s devoured my battery!
Latest up grade
by Draytonrose10 on 2020/05/19 04:27
As this app devours my battery with its background activity it got to go sad as I have loved it
Warning!!! White screen after update!
by domjames on 2020/05/18 09:29
Just updated my app to the new version, opened it up and logged in and then it turns to a white screen!! Tried messaging support and it say 1-3 days! Very frustrating
Doesn’t work
by Creativeruss on 2020/05/15 20:55
New update doesn’t work just goes to plain white screen after attempting to log in.
Very useful and far more reliable than my Lief.
by DemeterK on 2020/05/04 12:23
I’ve been finding this app more and more useful. I am very slowly raising my HRV. It seems to me that the readings are more accurate and (if I understood more) more informative than my Lief) There is a lot of information available here, the mathematics stuff is way beyond me but I do find the comparison useful - I’ve raised my HRV to be more or less equal to my peers.
Pointless
by Dave_mk1 on 2020/04/27 08:51
Doesn’t connect to my Apple Watch, therefore can’t take a HRV reading, so it’s completely pointless
Annoyed
by Another Tallbird on 2020/04/24 14:51
Downloaded this app on a recommendation from a friend, however, not matter what I try I cannot get it to connect!!! I’ve followed all instructions, unpaired from other devices & still nothing. The help option doesn’t help either!!!
Doesn’t work
by Brum J on 2020/04/21 10:57
I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel so incensed with regard to this app I felt I had to comment. The app refuses to connect with my Apple Watch and continually disconnects. This is without doubt the worst app I have ever downloaded from the store. My advice is don’t download 😡
Free app is great - premium doesn’t work
by Moose_1992 on 2020/04/21 05:38
The free app is a great resource. I’ve paid for premium integration. The app appears to link to TP but after a morning readiness reading nothing in TP and, going back to Elite HRV it no longer appears to be linked to TP. A week on, re-linking several times, I still haven’t managed to get data from Elite HRV to TP. There is a FAQ/common problems help but no other way to report the issue other than a bad review.
Way too many connection problems
by Alanjgibson on 2020/04/11 09:34
When it works it’s good BUT there are way too many connection/Bluetooth issues that interfere with consistent recording 🤷‍♂️
Does not sync with Apple Watch
by SimonJones1987 on 2020/02/26 06:49
I recently downloaded the app but it is not syncing with my Apple Watch via Bluetooth. The developers need to resolve this issue.
Great when it works
by allibloo on 2020/02/11 20:18
First the positive. This is a great resource with loads of backup information, guides and podcasts on everything HRV. I’ve been using another HRV training app for some time and Elite HRV is stronger on a number of fronts. The negative. Having become invested in the app, it is practically useless to me know due to hart rate monitor connectivity issues. At first my Polar H10 connected flawlessly with the app and then over the course of a day or two it became intermittent and now I’m getting really frustrated as I can’t connect it at all. The H10 is on the same firmware it has previously connected with. A check of the Help pages within the app describes about 5 different long-winded methods to try to reconnect the heart rate monitor with the app. Tried them all, so I’d be surprised if the steps stated sort ‘99% of issues’ as they claim. I’ve previously used the H10 with other apps and it has literally never skipped a beat (pun intended!). This app is poorly coded when it comes to Bluetooth connectivity, time to get it sorted before people walk away. Hopeful of an update soon to resolve otherwise it’ll be deleted.
Great app
by Bevy levy on 2020/02/10 08:25
Really useful training aid. Just check you have the right hrm though
Why does it not use Apple watch?
by iGBM on 2020/02/01 10:51
I thought Apple watch was built to be able to do these sort of health monitoring tasks. On installing the app it turns out not. However I can buy a device for this.
Wish I had known about this 15 months ago
by MickbustonNorwich on 2020/01/31 16:03
Only recently learned of HRV as I try to find a way to overcome a relapse in my M.E condition and this app could not be simpler to use and navigate. Only thing I would like to see are LF and HF scores but other than that it is excellent. Edit: now added and super useful including ratios. Amazing - thank you And as a final note, the supporting podcast is incredibly useful to those new to HRV.

Early days, good app, not sure about connectivity
by DS-abc on 2019/11/22 19:50
Works well, straightforward app to use. Connects to HR monitor with no issues and good graphics and interface. Not so happy with connectivity to other apps. Had no success getting that to work so far.
Elite HRV AMAZING
by Nikonnik on 2019/10/25 22:50
If you are a tech info nerd like me this is the app for you. It is absolutely amazing and it’s free. I’m so glad I found it . Now I have it I can’t keep off it.Try it and you will also get hooked .
Life Changing
by InvictusCanada on 2019/10/06 10:40
I don’t normally write app reviews, but using HRV to hack my life has proven life changing. I am using EliteHRV and a Polar H10 to drill into my physiological, psychological and even spiritual states. It is nothing short of life changing, and I say it again! HRV is a meeting point of mind, body and spirit. I highly, highly recommend this app and approach to life to all my health conscious, biohacking, spiritual enthusiasts pioneering a new humanity.
Useful, good data, minor bugs
by DavPow on 2019/09/20 12:31
Good data sets available. Minor bugs exist, such as: -multiple appearances of a single log -weight units erroneously convert as if you entered kg, when you actually entered lb -graphs don’t appear correctly in landscape mode
A little difficult to understand some of the information
by sculler79 on 2019/09/18 07:32
I struggle to make sense out of most of the information!!!
There are better
by Strike force1 on 2019/09/01 21:24
Bought the Corsense it will cost extra to import into the UK, and this doesn’t always connect, other HRV Apps can integrate and auto fill exercise and sleep data, with the elite you have to fill this information into the relevant sections, the polar chest strap is in my opinion better and half the price and has less connection issues, there are better apps are out there than the elite, sorry
Morag101
by Morag268 on 2019/07/02 06:09
App is good although it’s hard to get an easy guide as to what the morning readiness scores mean when they fall on different sides ie what’s the difference between 7 parasympathetic verses 7 sympathies. The CorSence reader is very poor - easy to get connection but very difficult to get reading. Seems to loose its battery power quickly. Really disappointed especially when had to pay a quarter of the price in import duty as well as the cost of the product. Frustrating
Hype but no substance
by Smiler Lovatt on 2019/05/06 18:12
The promotional hype of this app is not backed up by an easy to use interface. I went straight to the full subscription but can see no benefit. Linking apps is easy but the insight isn’t clear and easy to find. HRV is useful but thus app won’t be on my daily ‘must’ use list . I feel It has limited special use only and I am sure Strava will have it covered soon enough. Conclusion don’t jump in too soon till you have tried all the free features and find them of value as you will waste your money like me.
Audio issues
by L 9797 on 2019/05/03 16:44
Weird audio issues with breath prompts. Doesnt play a sound unless the volume is being changed. Also constantly says error connecting to server when I have a strong internet connection.
No iPhone X support
by Paul W Mather on 2019/03/30 11:46
I find it impossible to take a company seriously who two years on still haven’t invested in to supporting the iPhone X and Xs. This is a health app, so it’s even more difficult to put my faith in to a tech/health company that doesn’t support the latest devices. The message it sends is this; hey, we’re too small-time to be able to afford dev of our app. Or; hey, we’ve abandoned our app and it is pretty much obsolete.
All data lost
by Ironmanracer on 2019/03/24 07:34
Was working just fine then one morning found the app had reset itself. All data history had gone, all connections lost. Back to square one. NOT impressed.

by JD7LAD on 2019/02/08 07:50

Great information
by Lynlen1 on 2019/02/05 10:07
Once you get the right heart Rate Monitor connected it’s easy to use and gives clear results. And it’s free.
Best so far.
by aka ben on 2018/12/18 09:48
Tried several HRV apps including paid ones and this is the best for me, all the information well presented, assessments, links to other apps etc (small charge), good back up, podcasts, blogs etc. Takes a while to build the data and work out it what it means, five stars.
4.2.3 is glitchy
by m2training on 2018/12/04 03:40
Have used Elite HRV for years, and it keeps getting better. Except the latest upgrade is temperamental, sometimes needing a restart. And doesn’t properly fit the smaller iPhones. Still, it’s the best App of its kind.
Good luck connecting via Bluetooth
by Alibulldog on 2018/11/17 09:26
Absolute nightmare trying to connect to heart rate monitor !!!!
Not good
by plantBasedAthleate on 2018/11/02 19:57
I have been using HRV4 training for several months works well but very little in the way of educating you about what your scores mean . Thought I would try this very disappointed so far have wahoo hr chest strap which is meant to be compatible. Will not take a reading and no reply from e mail . FAQ s suggest problem with hr monitor but it works fine with HRV4 TRAINING and wahoo and Strava so go figure!
My review.
by gibsonjohn on 2018/10/04 16:40
Really useful body feedback. I recommend highly. Bugs free.
Worth reviewing
by eismarsh on 2018/07/03 20:39
Good app for insight to HRVariability. Has a Meditation guided breathing section also ✔️ this is flexible enough to set to your needs, and I was able to set to in 6sec, hold 1sec, out 8sec for the Oxygen Advantage style, but it does this and more when you adjust the settings. I have made a few suggestions, so hopefully the team will keep improving the pretty good app. Well done HRV 😃
HF Power scale request
by Davross666123456789 on 2018/06/03 06:55
Fantastic app & really useful update in which the new parameter logging replaces the manual excel spreadsheet I formerly used to track “Weekly CV”, “HF Power” & “Average HRV”. However, I noticed that the scale for “HF Power“ needs fixing as it is too high a range - all points run along bottom of scale so it needs to be adjusted according to the readings rather than a fixed scale. Hope this makes sense ?!?! Thanks again.
Was good, not now, is again...
by Crobet# on 2018/06/01 14:41
This used to be a very helpful app but for the last few weeks it loses the hr monitor or tells me it is being used by another device, which it is not. Or halfway through a reading will stop reading with no warning then says it needs more time. Very, very frustrating, especially at the recommended time of first thing in the morning. A shame it has gone so rubbish. 1/6/18 Has started working again, hopefully will continue to do so as it is very helpful for an idiot like me who easily overtrains.
Easy to use, and give me an early warning of overtraing.
by Biker Lee on 2018/03/05 05:16
Has really helped get an early warning for overtraining for me, so long as I take a reading each morning I almost never get to the point of needing to take 3 or 4 days off to recover.
Excellent
by Bigbkw on 2018/02/13 08:10
I read an article regarding this and then downloaded the app. The daily readings have really helped me to understand my daily wellbeing particularly in relation to physical training .

Won't work with Fitbit HR
by Ajrc69 on 2017/08/30 17:27

Hopeless with iPhone
by Bilham69 on 2017/07/21 19:18
Downloaded it. Glad it was free as you have to buy a widget to plug in to your iPhone. App deleted.
Amazing!
by Brukka on 2017/07/14 04:42
There's so much value here. The app is easy to use and the data is provided in a concise, interpretable format. In addition, the 53 page guide and podcast give you everything you need to get started with HRV. This is simply outstanding for a free app. Thanks guys!
Game Changer
by Mindful_one on 2017/05/07 19:29
Great App, which is based on pure science - no pseudo science coherence nonsense here! HRV is a great bio marker for physical, emotional and psychological health and has many tremendous applications. The app unlike others is robust and free and constantly being updated. So much potential, looking forward to seeing what's next for this little gem.
Great app! Design could be better..

A superb well thought out app!
by c-options on 2016/01/30 22:15
I have been an avid user of several HRV apps for over two years. There are a few good ones but this app is superb. I love the graphics, I love the way it provides so much information that can inform both my physical training and my mental exercises. It helps me to make decisions on a day to day basis of how hard to train, how my breathing exercises and my meditations are effecting my autonomic nervous system (ANS). The ans is the highway between the head and the heart! It carries the traffic that life itself bestows upon us. Knowing when I am in the fast lane and need to slow down is now key to my life planning. Continual improvements just make it better and better, elite in fact!Even my son who is often sceptical uses it daily now!
Great app

It seems to me that the readings are more accurate and (if I understood more) more informative than my Lief) There is a lot of information available here, the mathematics stuff is way beyond me but I do find the comparison useful - I’ve raised my HRV to be more or less equal to my peers.
New update
by Striple on 2020/05/22 08:59
The recent update, with new design, has transformed the most troubling element of the previous version, which was getting a reliable Bluetooth connection. Works every time for me now, using the CorSense finger sensor. The new design is much easier for tracking exercise, sleep and mood too. Great job Elite HRV team.
Easy to use, and give me an early warning of overtraing.
by Biker Lee on 2018/03/05 05:16
Has really helped get an early warning for overtraining for me, so long as I take a reading each morning I almost never get to the point of needing to take 3 or 4 days off to recover.

Only recently learned of HRV as I try to find a way to overcome a relapse in my M.E condition and this app could not be simpler to use and navigate. Only thing I would like to see are LF and HF scores but other than that it is excellent. Edit: now added and super useful including ratios. Amazing - thank you And as a final note, the supporting podcast is incredibly useful to those new to HRV.

by Morag268 on 2019/07/02 06:09
App is good although it’s hard to get an easy guide as to what the morning readiness scores mean when they fall on different sides ie what’s the difference between 7 parasympathetic verses 7 sympathies.

There's so much value here. The app is easy to use and the data is provided in a concise, interpretable format. In addition, the 53 page guide and podcast give you everything you need to get started with HRV. This is simply outstanding for a free app. Thanks guys!

I have been an avid user of several HRV apps for over two years. There are a few good ones but this app is superb. I love the graphics, I love the way it provides so much information that can inform both my physical training and my mental exercises. Fails to connect to Polar H7
by simeonpashley on 2014/11/05 20:21
I simply cannot get this app to find my Polar H7 despite other apps having no problems. Polar Beat, Digifit iCardio, Endomondo all find it without issue. Tried killing all other apps. BT on/off, etc.
Morag101
by Morag268 on 2019/07/02 06:09
App is good although it’s hard to get an easy guide as to what the morning readiness scores mean when they fall on different sides ie what’s the difference between 7 parasympathetic verses 7 sympathies. The CorSence reader is very poor - easy to get connection but very difficult to get reading. Seems to loose its battery power quickly. Really disappointed especially when had to pay a quarter of the price in import duty as well as the cost of the product. Frustrating
New update
by Striple on 2020/05/22 08:59
The recent update, with new design, has transformed the most troubling element of the previous version, which was getting a reliable Bluetooth connection. Works every time for me now, using the CorSense finger sensor. The new design is much easier for tracking exercise, sleep and mood too. Great job Elite HRV team.

Early days, good app, not sure about connectivity
by DS-abc on 2019/11/22 19:50
Works well, straightforward app to use. Connects to HR monitor with no issues and good graphics and interface. Not so happy with connectivity to other apps. Had no success getting that to work so far.
Audio issues
by L 9797 on 2019/05/03 16:44
Weird audio issues with breath prompts. Doesnt play a sound unless the volume is being changed. Also constantly says error connecting to server when I have a strong internet connection.
Not good
by plantBasedAthleate on 2018/11/02 19:57
I have been using HRV4 training for several months works well but very little in the way of educating you about what your scores mean . Thought I would try this very disappointed so far have wahoo hr chest strap which is meant to be compatible. Will not take a reading and no reply from e mail . FAQ s suggest problem with hr monitor but it works fine with HRV4 TRAINING and wahoo and Strava so go figure!
Excellent
