Joke
by Browny135792468 on 2021/04/13 23:33
Used the app a year or so ago and it was great - I paid for a subscription again today only to find that 99% of songs “aren’t supported”. There was no warning of this before I paid - there’s no point in getting this app now as you cant actually use any songs.
New to this
by EQ 1 on 2021/04/10 14:11
Just loaded this app, i notice in the in app purchase, however it does not explain you need to pay £4.49 per week, absolute con. Will not be using this anytime soon. Have now deleted it
Was good but not anymore
by Tobyn78 on 2021/04/05 09:07
Was a excellent app till latest update. Was free and synced to Spotify. I had some great mixes on here but since update now wants to charge a shocking £4.50 a week and will not allow me to access my mixes.
Greed
by voy ernest on 2021/04/02 04:17
Isn’t it sad when a clever app that has been giving you lots of joy and for which you paid for full version suddenly falls victim to a greed virus? Oh ok, how much then? £2 a month to support starving developers? No, bloody £4.5 A WEEK for something that’s already been created? 🤔 The updated version does not allow you to use your own tracks from phone library which probably serves as an excuse for charging you AGAIN for access to music you already pay for. Sad and pathetic, can I at least get my money back I paid for the full version?
Spotify greed ruined my favourite app
by bri961221 on 2021/03/25 10:48
This is my favourite app, and is always such a hit with my friends. I made sooo many people download this app during the time I used as they were so impressed with how it works. Then spotify decided to be spotify - and I was super disappointed. IT IS NOT PACEMAKERS FAULT! I feel horrible reading the reviews since I know how difficult it was to develop this app. For now I am not on subscription as the library is quite limited. However, could you offer a 1-2 day free trial? I don’t like paying a weekly fee immediately without seeing how my library was affected.
Rip-off
by Da_Tall_One on 2021/03/24 18:18
I’ve had this app since day 1, all was perfect. Now with version 3 I can’t even use my local library for mixing without a subscription.. I was fine with how things were before, but THIS.....utterly pathetic!
Expensive!
by jonderby on 2021/03/24 15:09
Love this app, used to love mixing music, then the app updated, that is where the problem lies. Expensive £5.00 p/week how can you justify? I see you have lost a lot of customer course of this, please sort, the pricing out! I’d happily pay for the app, but £5,00 p/week.... nah
All good things come to an end
by dills18 on 2021/03/22 20:24
I’d do anything to have the app back to the way it was. I know Spotify is to blame largely due to regulations but this app is now unusable. Perhaps integration with another streaming service is possible? Impossible with Apple Music, cause, Apple. But Tidal, Amazon, Qobuz?...
Great until an update that ruined everything
by Benlukey on 2021/03/20 08:18
Was a great little app well synced up to Spotify. Used to enjoy using it regularly. Updated a few months ago and whilst it still syncs up the range of music is about 10% of what it was previously if that. Pretty much unusable now unless you want to play nothing but chart toppers.
£5?
by Jah 1231 on 2021/03/13 10:06
£5? MAD!
You have ruined this app!
by A valued fan on 2021/03/12 09:49
When I first downloaded Pacemaker, I absolutely loved it! I thought the concept was basic, the implementation was intuitive and generally fun to play around with. After some time, I had made 4 or 5 mixtapes consisting of 100 mins + of music, each track placed with precision - literally spent hours making mixtapes that sounded good and flowed well! Now all of that has gone to waste since your update of sourcing tracks from two labels... Every track on my mixtapes have a “?” Symbol and don’t function at all! Hours and hours of time wasted! On top of that, you’ve made the app paid only! Before the update, it was free to use (with basic features only). I feel like you lured users in with this free to use app, allowed them to invest time in making mixtapes, and then rendered the work useless! Then you expect them to pay? I’m honestly disappointed! I hope you can fix this or find a solution. I would happily pay if my work wasn’t ruined by your update. (Even though you’re charging a ridiculous amount... £240 a year? Really?) Hope you can improve.
Not all it
by Rahkeem1465 on 2021/03/07 12:30
The app was so great when I first downloaded it it had nearly every song I made a couple of mix’s then after a few updates or something you can’t even make a mix without subscribing and nearly £5 A WEEK just to mix a couple songs together which most of the songs aren’t even the proper one it’s just a crappy cover deeply disappointed and really annoyed
Tragedy - But blame Spotify?
by DreadedHen on 2021/03/06 12:38
This app was sooooo useful to me with it’s looping and speed changing (not dj’ing but as music teacher). No good now it’s not working with Spotify. The update description from Pacemaker seemed a bit deceptive but am thinking it’s Spotify we should all be hassling. Thanks for the good years. Hoping things change back.

Since when do you need pacemaker + to do literally everything ?! Worst app ever
The great has fallen
by ggr93 on 2021/03/01 16:40
What once was a fantastic app with in app purchases of effects and was the centre of any BBQ but now, the app is behind the traditional ‘£5 per month subscription model’ even worse, now going into my Spotify playlists only 10% of the songs are available, the rest greyed out, this never used to be the case. Very disappointing product direction, unfortunately after a long time of being a fan, I’m forced to uninstall.
Brilliant technology let down by Spotify
by Winduke on 2021/02/26 09:04
I used this constantly during lockdown in 2020 to make mixes and was attracted to it because it connected to Spotify. The technology that enables you to mix is excellent. The suggested tracks to mix are often inspired (same key, tone etc) and you can easily build huge mix lists without much effort at all. The tools for mixing are also really good and great fun to use. I’m not upset with Pacemaker. They informed me months before it happened that Spotify was suspending support for all third-party DJ apps. This is Spotify’s issue. Despite being an organisation that has been at the forefront of the digital music revolution, Spotify just set mixing back years. They have a huge library and Premium subscribers pay a lot of money every month to listen to it. Pacemaker added another layer to that experience and Spotify took it away. Perhaps they’ll bring out their own DJ functionality or app? I doubt it though. The problem is that when music organisations become “big”, they get run by lawyers - who are still stuck in the 19th century. Sadly, I don’t see a point in subscribing to Pacemaker now. It’s too much money to pay on top of a Spotify subscription I won’t give up and without that linked functionality, it doesn’t promise to be a great experience. Thanks to the Pacemaker developers for some great experiences and memories of creating mixes.
Subscription only
by MundaneName on 2021/02/25 10:24
Appears that you blocked the free version out in order to push a subscription only model. Fine, whatever. But make that clear on your App Store listing. Then you don't have to waste people's time by having them download your app and then finding out that it costs more than Netflix monthly. I was only ever a free user. I can't really complain. But if you think your service is worth more than Spotify Premium then you're having a giggle. Good luck.
App
by soiwaslike on 2021/02/22 12:55
£4.49 per week is more than £230 per annum. Basic feature of mixing local music is being this paywall. Too expensive. Wish there was a separate app that just had the pacemaker algorithm for mixing tracks from media library.
Excellent Customer Service
by X-Wide P on 2021/02/21 17:47
Had a problem with the app after download and contacted customer support, they were awesome, fixed the issue for me and went above and beyond. The app does exactly what it says on the tin and the music choices are increasing all the time since the changes in rights etc.
ANGERY
by yoyotototygvjj7472 on 2021/02/19 11:35
I’ve wanted to make a transition from where is my mind to feels like it only goes backwards, but every time I want to pick one of the songs, it tells me I have to pay, I clicked on other songs I don’t even know and I need to pay. What’s the point in making the app free when you have to pay for it anyway?
I’ve deleted it
by Beebeek1 on 2021/02/14 10:40
I used to use this app the time it was great, but now you want me to pay £4.49 to listen to my mixes, and I can’t even use my Spotify songs? Nor can I even export or download the mixes. Ridiculous!! Definitely not worth it anymore, so disappointing. >:(
Please...
by kidspektrum on 2021/02/13 00:15
...bring back full Spotify integration. I love the app but most of my mixes are now useless. I know this won’t be your fault but the tracks available are now severely limited... ahhhhh Brilliant app when fully loaded!
Conned out of £4.49
by Jimski83 on 2021/02/12 17:30
Enjoyed this app so much I decided to pay £4.49 to continue listening to my mixes only to then find that the app no longer works with Spotify !! Whilst I appreciate that this is Spotify’s choice and not Pacemakers I am annoyed that Pacemaker gave no warning of this before I purchased the subscription !! No email and no notification, approximately 90% of my tracks aren’t licensed to the app rendering it completely unusable so I’m going to delete it.
Rip off!
by David 0879 on 2021/02/11 17:55
Simply too expensive at £4.49 per week, working out at £20 a month, make that £240 a year??.... With a much reduced track base to choose from now that Spotify has withdrawn support. No one can afford this. Please understand this people at pacemaker!
Use to be good now spoilt
by TartanTonyPulis on 2021/02/11 17:20
Where have all the tunes gone, this latest update has left us with basically no music to play with. Sad really for what was a good app
App no longer works, only pops up Full Version which isn’t worth it.
by Insane-freerider on 2021/02/11 14:49
I understand that Spotify has discontinued their streaming on DJ platforms, but I can’t access any of my previous mixes or even start a new one with owned tracks without a pop up asking me to buy the full version on a subscription! When I close the pop up it defaults me back to the Home Screen, thus not allowing me to actually use the app. It used to be my favourite way to build mixes but now it doesn’t even work. Not worth the subscription if they only have 10% of the tracks I used to use! FIX IT PLEASE
wait until the changeover from spotify
by Legge32 on 2021/01/31 18:27
i have used this app for the last 3 years and created over 100 mixes. i had a lot of fun but since they changed over from spotify my mixes have gaps all over the place. i have had to cancel my subscription and patiently wait til the change over is 100% because everytime i try to make a mix most of the tracks i choose are not licensed with the app yet. such a shame, should’ve stayed with spotify
This app doesn’t work with a free version
by leodud3 on 2021/01/26 23:03
You can do anything with this app now without paying
Used to be great then got greedy
by Seandan on 2021/01/26 11:48
This app used to be great for someone wanting to put together mixes for personal use and parties. Then they introduced a subscription model that you cannot choose not to take up. I’m not paying 20 pounds a month.
New update is rubbish
by Fe4RLess2435 on 2021/01/25 11:10
You can’t do anything without it asking you to pay.
why?
by maxineplayzyt on 2021/01/24 16:47
well the studio was free but now it’s not so now you have to pay to use the app.
It used to work
by bigmul on 2021/01/22 10:53
I used to like this to mess about on, but now it keeps asking me to pay for a subscription. I can’t load any tracks on my iPad at all....what gives?
Complete change in business model
by ryanwhite123 on 2021/01/16 08:12
I’ve had pacemaker for years, and I even bought the plugins via the app. I have now lost complete access to the app and my plugins that I purchased as pacemaker now forces you to buy their subscription service for £16.49 per month... which is absolutely extortionate!!! This should be £5 at the absolute most. Not only have you upset your historical long term customer base, but you are now trying to charge more than Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon prime etc for less music! Get a reality check please, and reconsider your pricing model then. Until you do, it’s goodbye from me unfortunately....
Subscription model kills best DJ app
by DJShambles on 2021/01/14 02:34
Used to use this app to automix my music library all the time. But now I have to pay for it to mix my own tunes...??? No thanks. Should’ve at least kept that option free for users. Sadly deleted.
Bad
by trematon on 2021/01/13 18:12
Soooo bad won’t let me pick a song or listen to peoples songs if I don’t pay for the monthly subscription
WAS a great app

by Lee dlugosz on 2021/01/10 01:23
So apparently unless u get premium u can’t actually use songs from Spotify- greedy much.
Disappointed
by swiftginger on 2021/01/09 18:17
I loved this app, until this recent update. I used to love being able to sync up with my Spotify. Now without Spotify integration all my mixes are nonexistent, I assume I’ll never get them back. Songs I used in mixes are now unavailable. It used to be so easy to pull a song out of one of my Spotify playlists, and suggesting songs that I knew from Spotify was a great feature, now gone. What was once free with an optional pro version for better features, is now an app only usable with a monthly subscription. Not only am I unable to listen to my own (now mostly disappeared) mixes that I spent hours working on, but I can’t listen to other people’s mixes. If you try to do either of those things, you are greeted with a pop up to subscribe to premium. I am so disappointed, this update has ruined a great thing in my opinion.
Spotify Integration
by Kyled60 on 2021/01/07 23:35
Used to be my go too app but 3.0 upgrade has dropped Spotify integration... I’ve lost access to 90% all of my my mixes.
3.0
by j_yummymummy on 2021/01/05 16:06
Update I started using the free version again with the smaller available catalogue of music and now even those mixes are being flagged as not licensed! I get that Spotify removing the third party support isn’t the developer’s fault but then to start losing mixes because of tracks being taken out of licensing is ridiculous. No option to recover any of these mixes or even delete the songs that aren’t licensed. If you want to keep any of your mixes then this app (which I LOVE for its functionality and UI) is pretty much unusable. Previous review: So disappointed that Spotify removed its API support, understand licensing new music will be an ongoing process but cannot see how maintaining a £5 a week subscription price is fair given 100% of my mixes are unplayable and the new catalog is so slim. Hope to use the app again in the future once my music and mixes are restored (LOVE the interface and functionality).
Don’t bother
by liam065k on 2021/01/04 14:42
I deleted this app in under 30 seconds after finding it was another “you can download the app but after have to pay weekly”. Please don’t bother unless you’re willing to pay 4.99 a week.
It used to be fantastic
by lukey dumbstruck on 2021/01/01 00:32
I got the app a year ago and bought all the expansions. Now Spotify have blocked there content without a weekly subscription. I can’t even get the the tunes I’ve bought to work on it. It’s really sad to see such an amazing app made almost useless, hopefully this can resolved soon. Very sad to see the demise of one of my favourite bits of software.
I’d like my money back
by MVDS82 on 2020/12/30 18:24
Had already paid for this app, changing it to a subscription based service is just plain evil. Would like to get reimbursed as I can’t use what I paid for anymore. Not happy about this at all.
Terrible update I am devastated
by ToniRivas on 2020/12/29 19:08
Pacemaker was my favourite app by far. Now, I have no words to explain how disappointed I am, it really doesn’t make sense anymore. Not only they took out a huge amount of songs from Spotify, but also they want now 6€ a week? More expensive than my premium account and with no access to music really. Ridiculous, sad very sad and a very bad move. Lack of management and poor long term strategy, its really a shame. It could have been amazing.
Ruined
by cofulese on 2020/12/26 11:13
I've used this app for years and it's been great. Now version 3 has ruined everything. An extortionate £5 a week to mix tracks I've already paid for, from my own iTunes library?!! No thanks. Deleted.
New update
by JDS2580 on 2020/12/25 01:03
Okay so I know spotify may have changed their permissions but what about the many artists that ave created the platform you have benefited off? In the new update you gave us an option to update or stay, the option to update said “we didn’t need spotify premium” and obviously most people would want a new update, little did we know this would delete all our work. After further research I found out that you knew Spotify was going to do this, if you had given warning that this was going to happen, enthusiasts like me would have saved the mixtapes in other ways before you changed the app and deleted all our mixes. I hope you see this is is a very poor way of informing users and will result in much of the community deleting this app, which could have been solved though basic communication. As a “big faceless corporation” you don’t realise the effect this has had on me not being able to financially support proper mixing , this mixing has been my only outlet, to have lost all the work I had especially on the one day I had friends over has pushed be over the edge, thank you, goodbye.
Waste of money
by Tranc? on 2020/12/24 12:51
Since loads of tracks got removed the app became worse, paying for pacemaker pro was a bad decision. All I got extra were more terrible songs and £5 taken off me. I used to use this app when it had somewhat decent tunes but not it’s not the same at all and feels I have actually been ripped off paying for Spotify premium and pro just for nothing.
Short Review
by Ashton Or An Mary And A Jones on 2020/12/22 21:45
this app is good
EXPENSIVE
by Marc howard on 2020/12/21 15:40
This is a great app and really does liven up a good party at home. Very easy to use and basic ( in a good way). It’s great that you can play all your favourite tunes and mix them to how you want. The one massive problem is the price. £5 a week is far far to expensive for people that just want to play around and enjoy a bit of amateur home mixing. I don’t understand why the makers have put such a high price tag on this. I have deleted the app since this price has been put in place. £5 a month seems more realistic. 3 stars for how good the app is but lost 2 stars for the hefty price tag that comes with it. Please sort that pricing out.
absolutely brilliant app until the newest update
by nocreativitykg on 2020/12/20 22:11
This app used to be amazing, linked my Spotify premium to it and could then make some fun mixes during lockdown. Now that this feature has been removed and a “pay to use” feature has been added... - well, i’ve had to reluctantly delete the app as it’s lost all that it had! Such a shame for such a promising and fun app 😖
Used to be the best free app
by Psternum on 2020/12/20 18:05
I upgraded and now I’m told I have to pay. Not sure what happened or changed the business model - but for us casual users who just wanted our music to mix whilst we drive our cars to and from work - this was a kick in the teeth. Hopefully someone will simply just fill the void - but there really should be an option to upgrade to “serious” mode or remain in casual. A real shame because this was the best in the market- hands down.
Such a shame
by Jezda9 on 2020/12/20 14:33
This was a great app and now cannot use this even with a premium Spotify account. No tracks available unless you now subscribe to the plus account. Forced to delete as cannot get old version back
Ruined
by dcahfivudkfvnkdnjdsk on 2020/12/19 23:17
This was a great app for mixing songs then the new update came and then I couldn’t do anything without getting the premium (which I wasn’t going to get). Previously I was able to mix any songs on my Spotify playlist (which I couldn’t record properly which sucked) which i was thankful for as most other apps don’t do that. But now it’s basically useless and my favourite app is completely ruined!
Good app until update
by 🍑💫✨ on 2020/12/19 17:36
Ngl this app was amazing during lockdown listening to music is the best way to escape ofc. But the new update requires you to have an apple subscription as well as a paid for subscription of the is app to use the whole sherbang. People don’t have money for 2 memberships during this period. And it was a final blowout for this amazing app incorporation with Spotify to completely disband it and use Apple Music instead. It’s a stretch to pay for a Apple Music subscription annndd a dj subscription too. Should of allowed the unfortunates to at least have one of the 2 not having anything at all. Fun while it lasted but other than that was a sick app for mixing music and experimenting
You know the old saying?
by daniels3d on 2020/12/18 20:24
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But, you did it. You made it worse. I want to go back to the old Pacemaker where I can use my Spotify account and listen to music. Please change it back?
No longer free
by zzzgsbcvbfsfghesfg on 2020/12/18 18:54
Version 3 doesn’t work for free WITH a paint Spotify Premium account. This was not clear! Unusable now.
3.0.0 update
by RichyRichBois on 2020/12/17 20:21
Easily the worst update ever, half of my Spotify tracks don’t work because rather than not needing Spotify Premium, they’ve completely removed it and you can only play their tracks which is essentially useless. This makes me very disappointed as the main selling point was that the app linked with Spotify, which was why the subscription price was there. I’m cancelling my subscription and won’t be returning to the app until the Spotify Premium functionality is brought back.
New version puts app behind paywall
by Gdrbbehewuwjebbrjr7273846382 on 2020/12/17 14:44
The app was usable without paying a premium fee before, but with less features. Now this new & irreversible 3.0 update has put the whole app behind a premium subscription. Won’t be using any longer, unfortunately. Also - £18/month subscription is ridiculous.
Politics has gotten in the way of a good thing
by jumbalooyah on 2020/12/16 13:50
With Spotify clamping down on the way it’s content can be used by other developers, it was inevitable that PaceMaker would have to change their means of sourcing music. Whilst the app remains one of the best music mixers around, it’s unjustifiable for me to be subscribed to a Spotify Premium account and now PaceMaker as their own music streaming platform combined. Sorry guys, Spotify is hands down the only thing worth paying a subscription for. Your app is just a toy I can’t afford in comparison.
Absolute Rip Off!!!!!
by DJ EMIL on 2020/12/16 12:36
The end of an era! Has been my favourite app for many years. The ability to automatically mix tracks in your own playlists has been incredible. Annoyingly in this latest app update you can no longer do this, unless you become a Pacemaker + member at the unbelievably extortionate price of £4.49 a week!!!! Yes.....A WEEK!!!! What are you doing???
It can be a bit glitchy
by O_Sy on 2020/12/10 03:01
Yes...It’s annoying when you’re in the flow and then the app decides not to work. Also I wish you could switch up the bpms
Does not work with Apple Music even though it’s editors’ choice!!
by mirovongy on 2020/11/23 19:23
I have switched my music provider to Apple Music from Spotify only to now find that this app can’t be used with Apple Music. I have now wasted the cost of this app and the add ons i have also purchased!!! How on earth can an app be sold on the Apple App Store and not be compatible with the Apple systems??
moneygrab
by GlynnWill on 2020/11/22 11:23
you have to buy the trial and then on top of that you need Spotify premium, you’re better off downloading garage band or even imovie
Can’t save mixes
by Sebostman on 2020/11/19 12:12
I can’t wrap my head around the good reviews. You can’t save a mix you’ve created from your own songs. You can’t publish a mix you’ve created from your own songs. You MUST have a Spotify premium account, and when you do, you can only share with other Spotify users. So I can’t save a mix to my own device, made from my own MP3’s, what’s the point? Their “customer service” ignored most my messages and was very unhelpful.
Impressive auto-mix feature
by PaulCNotts on 2020/11/15 20:57
First of all, you need to persevere with the quirky user interface - once you get through to the part where you select a playlist, the rest is amazing! I pointed the shuffle at one of my playlists and the auto-mix results were very impressive! I’m an ex DJ and know a good and bad mix when I hear one - this manages many different genres, for example, UK Garage trips up many mix programs but Pacemaker does a great job. I would’ve rated 5stars if it wasn’t for the quirky UI.

The app does what it says I am just unhappy bc I can’t find a way to cancel my subscription to the trial! I don’t want to pay the monthly ad it is too high and there is no obvious way to cancel ! Frustrating
Not worth a try
by Mpboon on 2020/10/23 08:42
I would like to try an app before I decided if I want to buy it. Ask for details before buying is a big no no. £4.99 a week is excessive and I could by a DJ controller for the money you pay for a year and you can use multiple music apps. SAVE YOUR £‘s or $’s

Can you adjust tempo!?
by Eld22chg on 2020/10/08 18:16
I love this app - I use it all the time. Even just to load my playlists and auto mix - it feels like a DJ is playing my favourite songs in a set!! One question though - being able to match tempos of a song would be great - it would make it much more of a realistic DJ experience. Is this possible? Is it not because of copyright infringement etc? Wouldn’t mind a dev response on this?
Great, but........
by Vintage cam fan on 2020/10/07 15:08
So first off I’ve spent a week getting into the iPhone app. And it’s good. Like really good. A bit like what iMovie does for video editing, this does for mixing. And in the same way it’s super limited but what it does it’s excellent at - the mixes it pro uses are super convincing. Yeah it has some major draw backs. Main issue for me is that the ‘transition zoom’ view means you skip the track on to that point! Renders the app useless for live listening - it’s basically only good for making pre-prepared mixes to share. 🤨 Weird. It’s worth a go (if you can stomach the eye watering subscription charge). HOWEVER, having got used to a quite particular UI on the phone-the iPad is completely different and more of a conventional mixer app. But it’s awful clunky and basic. Why not make them the same.? The iPhone app unique mixing method and use of AI is so different to other mixing apps the developer should port that experience for the iPad. 🤨 Again, weird they haven’t. So if you want a fun way of creating great mixes, stick to the iPhone app. Just don’t expect be djaying at any parties from it. Stay clear of the iPad app and use Djay Pro instead until the devs realise what their app is good at.
I would but can’t

Easy to use

Great and very easy to use app. The only thing I really miss is to export our mixes from the app. At least the mixes which contains only local music files.
People complimented my choice of music - it was on Automated mode
by LoveitNoteit on 2020/08/16 07:06
Every year I get asked to organize the music, but was always asked for more Italian music. Every year I’m stumped. This year I used Pacemaker, I chose the first song and pacemaker selected the rest with the AI Automated feature. Music I never would have found myself on spotify. Last year, people would come with requests, like I was a jukebox...this year people only came to offer compliments. Lifesaver - I got to enjoy the party as well.
Great App for Parties (when it wants to work)
by sue\tom/dave on 2020/08/07 18:03

Easy to use and great to make small mixes
by 2mjp8 on 2020/08/06 11:31
This app is very simple to use and get the hang off and it’s very easy to create small mixes. Only improvement is that sometimes it doesn’t save some transitions between songs so you have to go back over it multiple times until it does save. Apart from this, a great app
In my opinion, I don’t really like this app
by cakeandsugar on 2020/08/02 20:03
All I wanted to do was mix 3 songs together that I knew was gonna slap soo hard, but then I can’t even use the app without paying. So I get the 1 week subscription, saying I could have full access to things on the app. I get the 1 week sub and I still can’t do anything. Later on it’s telling me I need Spotify premium. I mean unless you want to waste £4 a week, then this app is for you but it doesn’t seem like much fun to me.
Great idea, sometimes screws up a little
by joewaard on 2020/07/14 22:17
Love the concept, and it’s a lot of fun to play with but sometimes when you’re trying to manually mix two tracks, the app seems to glitch and reverts back to the automatic mix it originally gave you (maybe I’m just using it wrong!). Apart from that, it’s great!

by Widowmaker991 on 2020/06/20 11:37
I don’t know how that is possible but when I access some functionality of the app, it automatically opens my investing app Plum and disconnect my Monzo account connected to it. Today I also clicked on unsubscribe from one of your email, that bounced me to a webpage, that bounce me into Plum, and my Monzo account was disconnected... weird!!!

Best auto DJ app I’ve ever seen
by Anonextreme55 on 2020/06/13 20:15
This app is honestly incredible in what it does, I’ve used a few auto mixing apps before and this is a different level, 90% of the time it actually sounds likes it’s been mixed by a professional. Genuinely amazing However, the subscription is overpriced. £5 a week? That’s £20 a month, that’s more than my phone bill and broadband for what’s effectively a fun app. They’ve priced this out of the mass market and it’s now only worth the money for actual DJs...

One of the best music apps
by JonSolo42 on 2020/06/06 09:31
I’m not a DJ, but I do love when my music crossfades. Despite some fairly minor niggles, this app is pretty much perfect at beat matching for the majority of music I listen to. The only major problem that I can see now, is that Spotify has sadly decided to discontinue access to all DJ apps like pacemaker. Spotify’s crossfade is okay, but it doesn’t do beat matching, which is really the magic that makes apps like Pacemaker special.

Really great
by T-MARG on 2019/06/09 09:53
I find using the app to be super intuitive, you don’t need much experience and can be mixing in matter of minutes. The auto is function works better than any other I’ve tried, which it great at parties when you just want to leave it playing. The interface is really easy to use, it just makes it very obvious how everything works and I don’t think the charges for extra effects are to high if you decide you need them. I gave the app 4 stars because I really wish I could connect this to my mixer, the ability to mix and monitor would make it perfect, it just won’t talk to my Traktor which is frustrating.

Frustrating...
by kjzee on 2017/08/27 22:03
I used the iPhone app... found it really frustrating. Struggled to find any guidance about how to use it... I googled but couldn't see anything useful. I spent a decent amount of time trying to figure it out but gave up in the end as every time I zoomed in to a transition between tracks I couldn't get back out... tried every gesture I could think of but sometimes it zoomed back to the main timeline and sometimes gave me an account sign up nudge. I can't bear apps that are inconsistent in their responses to gestures. It drove me nuts and yet I persevered...! I have patience!!! 😄 but I still nearly threw my phone out of the window!!! It looked pretty mind you, and did a decent job of mixing tracks but I just wanted something simple to use for a wedding playlist... Not for me but at least it was free so I didn't lose anything!
EXPENSIVE
by Marc howard on 2020/12/21 15:40
This is a great app and really does liven up a good party at home.

Brilliant app but the subscription misses the mark
by VVill4m on 2020/03/05 18:08
Apps design is effective and easy to use however: The current subscription plan really prices this app out of the market, my advice try an ad based service or data mining if u want that high profit margin so much. The fact is that the features offered in the free app alone isn’t enough and most consumers are not willing to make that jump to 5 pound a week
Updates makes you pay a weekly fee for features that you purchased in the past
by Motraboy on 2019/02/21 14:16
Beilliant app. I used it a few times 3 years ago and paid for a couple of filters at the time since i was enjoy it. I was shocked though to find out that mow, you have to pay 5£ per week to use those filters!!! (I already paid for them them at the time and now they re gone!!! This is absolutely disgusting. I understand that the developers need to make a living but taking features away that people have purchased in the past is very wrong.
Love this app so much
by ghjrules on 2018/08/09 15:50
Brilliant app. I recently found this in recommended and have never found a better music app before. All the features work very well and I love being able to listen to other people’s mixtapes. Would be nice in a future update to be able to download others mixtapes for offline usage, all though I understand the copyright claims and all that.
Greed
by voy ernest on 2021/04/02 04:17
Isn’t it sad when a clever app that has been giving you lots of joy and for which you paid for full version suddenly falls victim to a greed virus? Oh ok, how much then? £2 a month to support starving developers? No, bloody £4.5 A WEEK for something that’s already been created? 🤔 The updated version does not allow you to use your own tracks from phone library which probably serves as an excuse for charging you AGAIN for access to music you already pay for. Sad and pathetic, can I at least get my money back I paid for the full version?
Frighteningly good.....
by iamnottheenemy on 2018/12/04 21:40
Really really enjoying this. Incredible to see the technology functioning as seamlessly as it does. Would be 5 stars if I could stream through my Sonos system - massive massive shame it doesn’t. I have a ruck of (non airplay 2) Play 1’s throughout the house and I can’t play Pacemaker through any of them! I realise that airplay 2 devices apparently work, but that’s no good for all of us pre airplay 2 Sonos users!
£4.49 a week
by Glennswfc on 2019/07/12 06:36
That’s right, £4.49 a week! £226 a year. For that price within a couple of months you could buy yourself a set of actual decks and learn to mix yourself rather than getting a computer to do it for you. I didn’t even bother activating the free trial because there’s no chance it can do anything that makes it anywhere near worth that (NB, one of the three selling points of why you should pay over £200 a year is that you get to set your own profile picture. Excuse me if I don’t get over excited by that)
Bugs need fixing, but otherwise fantastic app
by Hayden Fraser on 2019/01/21 13:38
There are quite few bugs with the ‘autopilot’ software. If you make multiple changes between autopilot and manual control, the autopilot struggles to locate itself properly, as well as this it can fail to continue to add music. Other than app is great fun and fantastic for getting tunes to max potential.
Why Subscription only???
by Bad boy division on 2019/08/09 13:28
So. Was super scores when I heard about this app. I’ve been waiting for someone to do this for ages. I’ve had a quick play and it seems to work well. Unfortunately I won’t be buying the premium version.. it’s on subscription and incredibly expensive. I have enough subscriptions already and this is not the kind of app that warrants one. Such a shame. A one off fee (reasonable) would be much more appropriate. Hopefully the developers will change their minds about this as its they only thing holding me back.
Excellent Customer Service

by Blakeyboy6 on 2020/01/14 11:15

Useless
by craig Stand on 2017/12/31 06:54
I spent about an hour trying to get this app to work all it was successful in doing was annoying me with the constant sign in screen the inability to play a track except one out of my vast library the almost none tutorial doesn’t help 3-4 instructions on use was all that were given no further handy bubble tags with instructions followed and no online help to be found either a complete disaster of an app. I won’t bother down loading apps from this dev in the future.

Pretty decent functionality, way too expensive
by Pegasus829 on 2020/04/26 09:05
Functionality on iPhone is decent, but seriously too expensive at £4.99 a week! Would be great if the iPad experience could also have the iPhone functionality rather than being a separate app altogether. Would also be great to be able to play back mixes on Sonos.
Overpriced Great App
by Johno376 on 2020/01/20 13:54
This app is perfect for pretending to be a DJ and producing your own mixes but @ £20+ a month, it’s not that good for the personal consumer and I feel it alienates a huge amount of users considering its annual membership was roughly £30 a year. I’ll not be back. In essence it overlays tracks, I’ll get over it.

by johnjosephburton on 2018/01/19 01:09

by Notsoperfect_waitmaybeiam on 2018/07/01 17:16

Used to be the best free app
by Psternum on 2020/12/20 18:05
I upgraded and now I’m told I have to pay. Not sure what happened or changed the business model - but for us casual users who just wanted our music to mix whilst we drive our cars to and from work - this was a kick in the teeth. Hopefully someone will simply just fill the void - but there really should be an option to upgrade to “serious” mode or remain in casual. A real shame because this was the best in the market- hands down.
Best app on my phone, just a tad too expensive
by Georgel97 on 2019/08/05 18:06

by KeiraThomson on 2019/08/14 21:00
I used to love this app so much, I had access to all of the tools including echo, but now with the new layout/update I can’t add an echo effect onto the music anymore? I’m not sure if I just can’t find it or if it’s completely gone but it’s really annoying
needs better instructions
by St Francis of Assisi on 2018/01/25 22:38
Needs some clear instructions for use on the iPhone. The app is not intuitive and despite what the developer says the video tutorials are useless. Once you mess around with it for a while you can start to work it out yourself, but it’s unnecessarily difficult.
Excellent app! (When it works)
by B--mk on 2019/03/25 22:45
Superb app that mixes flawlessly. There is however a serious problem with the app on my phone at least (ip7 plus). The app often becomes unresponsive for long periods and crashes completely multiple times. This is a very annoying problem and makes an otherwise brilliant app completely unusable!! Fix it Pacemaker!

Very flexible and intuitive
by Minty the Dragon on 2018/10/28 09:07
Easy to use with good UI layout Easy to mix and sync Love being recommended cross genre tracks Works well for discovering new music Some tracks don’t sync properly although snappy cueing can be easily turned off Auto DJ doesn’t perfectly align certain tracks Can’t always manually shift tracks in auto dj to perfect sync BPM detection is inaccurate, have to load each track to determine the correct BPM before using auto dj Great app, would recommend for new and veteran DJs
Another ripoff subscription app >_<
by MrTeapot90 on 2019/09/03 13:38
Yeah so it’s basically mixmeister for iOS but like all apps today it’s asking WAY too much in payments nearly £20 a month are you having a laugh, that’s £140 a year, consumers like myself would rather pay once or pay less for a subscription so yeah fix that I’ll use your app but for now I’ll stick to others such as djay for iOS and mixmeister, traktor for pc. “Drops mic”
Can’t handle Drum & Bass
by Crack Unit on 2018/06/29 19:49
It’s ok, but really struggles with the complex beats of drum and bass. Although the tracks are synced BPM wise, they don’t match the correct 4/4 pattern. So instead of the next track coming in on the 1/4, it will usually start on the 2, 3 or 4, or worse, somewhere on the half bar. Some work ok, but that’s more luck than anything.
Previous Purchases?
by Ken Laji on 2019/07/17 07:11
New update - I can’t see anything new apart from change in business mode - Ok you’ve changed the business model - now needs subscription to get the effects etc. But what about previously purchased effects? There should be an option to restore purchases.

by B88M H£ADShOT on 2018/09/09 08:58

by eqjbequydbu on 2018/01/21 23:01
Been trying to ask the devs about why you can’t scan the library to get better matches to each track. IE to scan your local songs on the iPad to get the BPMs. Also the facility to sort by albums, not just songs. They never bother to reply. Very frustrating. Steve

Mix ins are usually out of time or sound awkward, can’t export or record mixes unless you’re using iPad version, when choosing a playlist to mix the app usually just mixes 10 songs from the same artist instead of a selection. Disappointing overall, you’re better off learning to DJ
Jaw droppingly incredible
by ReviewboyAl on 2020/09/12 21:26
Generally I’m bored of apps. But since I just wasted....no....got lost in.... for like 2 hours since downloading it, it’s safe to say this isn’t boring, it’s incredible.
Usually good but Today (Wednesday 19th February 2020) it’s started to crash
by Hayden.brown27 on 2020/02/19 17:55
Usually good app but Wednesday 19th February 2020 it’s started to crash on me my weekly show Best Tunes is due to come out today but unable to create a mixtape
Useful and efficient

I enjoy using this app it is easy to use but loaded with features . Makes me sound special and expert
It can be a bit glitchy
by O_Sy on 2020/12/10 03:01
Yes...It’s annoying when you’re in the flow and then the app decides not to work. Also I wish you could switch up the bpms
Brilliant!
by justnummy on 2018/09/10 14:43
Autopilot is just what I was looking for with my tech house. Just wish I could record from my own library with it.
Incredible!!
by Coach Becks on 2018/08/13 09:27
Control of your mix doesn’t get better than this, it’s extremely good. You need this for those moments ya gotta party or just be inspired.

Joke

Forces you to start the trial to continue

Okay
by kooljay12threy on 2020/10/30 12:10
The app does what it says I am just unhappy bc I can’t find a way to cancel my subscription to the trial!

Easy to use
by waakeup on 2020/08/26 22:10
Great and very easy to use app.

Devs, there is a major bug!
by Widowmaker991 on 2020/06/20 11:37
I don’t know how that is possible but when I access some functionality of the app, it automatically opens my investing app Plum and disconnect my Monzo account connected to it. Today I also clicked on unsubscribe from one of your email, that bounced me to a webpage, that bounce me into Plum, and my Monzo account was disconnected... weird!!!
This is absolutely incredible.

Spotify’s crossfade is okay, but it doesn’t do beat matching, which is really the magic that makes apps like Pacemaker special.

by T-MARG on 2019/06/09 09:53
I find using the app to be super intuitive, you don’t need much experience and can be mixing in matter of minutes.

EXPENSIVE
by Marc howard on 2020/12/21 15:40
This is a great app and really does liven up a good party at home.

Excellent Customer Service
by X-Wide P on 2021/02/21 17:47

Amazing but too expensive
by Blakeyboy6 on 2020/01/14 11:15
Absolutely no complaints with the app itself, honestly loved it! Made some real decent mixes and was easy to use, but £5 a week is just too expensive. Had it for 2 weeks and then cancelled my subscription which was very disappointing.

Useless
by craig Stand on 2017/12/31 06:54
I spent about an hour trying to get this app to work all it was successful in doing was annoying me with the constant sign in screen the inability to play a track except one out of my vast library the almost none tutorial doesn’t help 3-4 instructions on use was all that were given no further handy bubble tags with instructions followed and no online help to be found either a complete disaster of an app.

Usually amazing; not so good recently..
by johnjosephburton on 2018/01/19 01:09

I upgraded and now I’m told I have to pay. Not sure what happened or changed the business model - but for us casual users who just wanted our music to mix whilst we drive our cars to and from work - this was a kick in the teeth. Hopefully someone will simply just fill the void - but there really should be an option to upgrade to “serious” mode or remain in casual. A real shame because this was the best in the market- hands down.
Best app on my phone, just a tad too expensive
by Georgel97 on 2019/08/05 18:06
Absolutely love this and made some great stuff. But I am going to end my subscription as I can’t afford to just hand over wages for this. I would happily continue if it was a monthly fee. But right now it’s far too expensive
Ok but...
by KeiraThomson on 2019/08/14 21:00
I used to love this app so much, I had access to all of the tools including echo, but now with the new layout/update I can’t add an echo effect onto the music anymore?
200 percent good
by );£)! on 2019/03/14 16:32
Only have this app for one day and I’ve been able to make five remixes including six songs and it all came out amazing if you want to do anything to do which has Djamal
Transition truer
by Filthy plunger on 2020/11/06 09:50
It’s a good concept when your making a set list and you can see how both tracks sound as prelude to playing out...
Good
by B88M H£ADShOT on 2018/09/09 08:58
The app is great, but I think you need an option with looping and so you can change the bpm and possibly use soundcloud for music aswell, if they have this option it will be more usable.
Enjoyable
by kenja197865 on 2019/07/25 02:27
It’s very good to use to mix songs together but it did lag me out and I lose the mixtapes :( But it’s enjoyable to use it’s ashamed you got to pay a lot to get the pass.
No one at the company replies to email
by eqjbequydbu on 2018/01/21 23:01
Been trying to ask the devs about why you can’t scan the library to get better matches to each track. IE to scan your local songs on the iPad to get the BPMs. Also the facility to sort by albums, not just songs. They never bother to reply. Very frustrating. Steve
Average
by Yuunaru on 2017/12/09 22:20
Mix ins are usually out of time or sound awkward, can’t export or record mixes unless you’re using iPad version, when choosing a playlist to mix the app usually just mixes 10 songs from the same artist instead of a selection.
