This app is great but if only it had the ability to "hear" notes via the microphone. Then it could be used with a real piano or other instruments. This would be perfection. The one finger jab technique is unrealistic.

but I found it a bit of a strain on my eyes. Not sure how much it would help me reading for piano, but to be fair it's just a note recognition app. Try the free one and see if it suits.

This is a good app.However,I feel it would benefit by having more(deeper & higher)ledger lines rather than so many 8va.abbreviations,I think because of this it is more suitable for beginners.Perhaps this can be amended in an upgrade.

At 50 I'm totally new to playing the piano and reading music. Some of the books and apps are aimed at children so at least this isn't. Finding it very helpful so far. ( why do I have to have a nickname?)

Early days but this app has 2 staffs as seen on all piano music and as such when it jumps from one to another you now where you are either bass or Treble unlike some other apps this should make your learning progress a lot better without any irritations. I am very pleased with this so far and from a short dive into its other depths it has a lot to give the learner to a very advanced level of understanding hope I get that far

I would have given 5 stars but i find the keys on this app are a bit too small, so errors are easy to do.
But apart from this it is a very good app, and in time i think it will help with note recognition.

Only complaint being it asks for a review too early; I've barely started using it.
First impressions are good. It's easy and fun, belying its seemingly daunting graphics (I'm a total newby to sight reading). It uses the base and treble clefs at the same time which I hadn't anticipated, but now I'm glad of it. Every time I've taken the challenge so far I've got faster and more accurate, so I guess it's working :). It can go to much higher skill levels than my current capability so I guess this will help varying abilities. Anyway, I'm going back to try again - enjoy!

My sight reading is so bad that although I can play piano learning anything new is a nightmare. So I decided to do something about it. This app seems to fit the bill completely and I was so impressed I bought the full version. I have quickly realised that my sight reading is even worse that I at first supposed, but will find this app handy as I can do the exercises anywhere and anytime and must eventually improve. Great app, thanks.

I use this app frequently as a quick and easy way to learn the notation. I liked the app enough to pay for the full upgrade. It is useful, but, an extra payment is required to get rid of the adverts, which seems a bit mean on the part of the designer.
I recommend this to anyone who is learning the notes on the stave.

Pretty self explanatory. Does the job. Not the prettiest app in the world. Looks a Commodore 64 program for some reason. I use it and it works. Google a couple of hints on how to memorise the lines and spaces. You'll notice the difference after a day.

This app is quite good until you upgrade and want a wider range of notes to practice with. If you do, you not only have to think of the note, you also have to manually switch to different parts of the keyboard that contain the note. This introduces a distorted element to the process and teaches you nothing about where lower and higher notes are on a real piano. The programmers haven't bothered to shrink the keyboard to fit or pan automatically to the relevant range of keys. So basically, the app is good in its free form for beginners but a waste of money otherwise.

Excellent app. Just keep repeating to eradicate errors. Software seems to recognise weak spots in knowledge, representing the notes until it is learned.

Great little app. Have used 'Fastkeys' on laptop with mouse, which is good, but this is great! Just one thing..me being stupid?......I don't see the purpose of the octave keyboard below -sorry. Otherwise - great for practice.

Really helps to reinforce. Stops you counting up the lines with mnemonics egbdf etc. particularly with the keyboard helps identify position and seems to learn and then teach you accordingly.
